Default The "What If" Promotion

Giving this another shot, this is something fun and different that I am pretty excited about. If you read my short backstory and roster, you'll notice there is one exception, but I feel it had to be made since WWE has really dropped the ball with him ... nonetheless here it is.

**

The “What If” Promotion

With a roster that includes zero world champions, the “What If” Promotion showcases talents who could have been big. With a different attitude, direction, or a little more cheers or jeers, each of these guys could have been a household name. The WWE pursued most of these guys as big name superstars, but each failed miserably. Others may have made it if given the chance, sadly they never got it. Well now each and everyone of them will get their chance to shine, with no chance of being held down or forgotten … the “What If” Promotion, with connections to the NWA, will allow these wrestlers to be superstars.

The Roster

Billy Gunn
Carlito
Charie Haas
Chris Masters
Christian
Cody Rhodes
Elijah Burke
Evan Bourne
Gregory Helms
Jamie Noble
Kenny Dykstra
Kid Kash
Kofi Kingston
Lashley

Mr. Kennedy
Paul Burchill
Paul London
Rene Dupree
Rob Conway
Santino Marella
Scott Hall
Shelton Benjamin
Snitsky
Sylvan Grenier

The Boogeyman
The Brian Kendrick
William Regal

NWA World Heavyweight Championship – VACANT
NWA World Tag Team Championship – VACANT

Looks good, man. FYI, you have two former World Champions on the roster - Christian and Lashley. No biggie though...

I didn't really want to count the ECW Championship as a World Championship since while it was active in the WWE, it wasn't really looked at as a World Championship. However, while Lashley was champion it was more prestigious than when Matt Hardy held it, so I see your point, but I did need some bigger names and Lashley helps fill that gap.

This looks like it's going to be a cool little promotion. I like the roster and hope you are able to make something of it. The only one person that I think is missing on your roster is Buff Bagwell, but no bib deal.

it's an interesting concept, which I haven't seen done before. Nice to see you around these parts again, haven't seen you with a thread for a long time now and was wondering when and if you would return. Lots of good talent here to work with, Kennedy, Christian, Burke, Hall, Benjamin, Regal. You have lots of possibilities and tons of directions to go with this.

Best of luck holding this up and please don't give up. I'll be popping in every now and then.

Mr. Kennedy (now Anderson)
Scott Hall
Kofi Kingston
Ted Dibiase
William Regal
Christian
Bobby Lashley (arguably, I guess)

are pretty much all household names. So I'm not sure if they "failed miserably" or "didn't get the right push."

Consider some of these to add to your roster :
Scott Norton
Brian Adams
Trevor Murdoch
Buff Bagwell
Fit Finlay
Curt Hawkins
Volador Jr.
Vance Archer
Orlando Jordan
The Amazing Red

Well of those guy you listed could've been huge, but it didn't happen. Kennedy was supposed to be the second coming, but sadly everyone was wrong. DiBiase was supposed to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania, now he's lucky if he's even on the card. After Kingston's feud with Orton his momentum fell tremendously and he's nowhere near the main eventer everyone thought he would be. If you don't think Christian has failed as a main event player ... well then I'm not sure what you do see. Plus Scott Hall, who everyone knows, still never had a chance as a World Champion in any promotion he was in.

The point is to have a roster filled with guys who were on the brink of main event superstardom and missed it, or guys who could've been big but never got that one time break.

And of course their "household" names, who would want to see a promotion filled with Finlay and Buff Bagwell?

Brian Adams is dead, thus using him would break many rules of BTB.

Well I'm not really seeing why you went through the guys like that and said what they did. That is my point. He is trying to get a promotion together of guys who never made it. These guys all made it in some degree. He's attempting to create a federation of "could of beens." So generally stating, people who didn't get past the midcard.

I guess so, yeah. If you want me to be honest, I did not remember he passed.
