SummerSlam August 15th 2010 Results

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston
Result: No Contest
Summary: One of the fastest growing feuds on Smackdown! The crowd was in high hopes to see these two stars go at. Both men put on a fantastic match up, as it seemed crowd favorite Kofi Kingston was going to reclaim his WWE Intercontinental Championship when in the blink of an eye, both men found themselves surrounded by Team Nexus. Clearly out numbered both men didn't stand a chance as they received a beat down by the power hungry Nexus. Ending the match to a no contest, Barrett stated they will be dominate tonight against Team RAW.

WWE Diva's Championship Match
Alicia Fox vs. Melina
Result: Melina pinned Fox to become the NEW WWE Diva's Champion.
Summary: Shortly after her return, and her victory over Alicia Fox, Melina was ready to regain her championship belt. With Fox trying to prove herself as the best Diva's Champion of all time, Melina got the upper hand and proved why she was the Champion before.

3-on-1 Handicap Match
CM Punk & SES vs. The Big Show
Result: CM Punk pinned Big Show after taking a cheap shot with a steel chair.
Summary: With CM Punk wanting to cleanse the Friday Night Smackdown! there was one man in his eye that he wanted to take out, The Big Show. With weeks leading up to the match, Punk and his Straight Edge Society would nonstop harassing and attacking the largest athlete in the world. As it looked as though Show was going to end this one, after having Punk and Gallows knocked to the outside of the ring, Show delivered a powerful knock out punch to Mercurys temple rendering him out cold. Show goes for the pin only to find the Ref. not counting. Show soon realized why. Serena jumped into the ring to distract the Ref. from allowing The Big Show to make the pinfall. All of a sudden CM Punk snuk into the ring and slammed a steel chair across the back of the big man. As Show turned around, his skull was met with the chair as well. Not once was the chair slammed but twice, leaving Show knocked out. Punk told Serena to stop distracting the Ref. as he went for the pinfall victory.

WWE Championship Match
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton
Result: Randy Orton wins by DQ.
Summary: In one of the most anticipated match ups of the PPV, these two superstars went toe to toe, eye to eye with each other. Both men tore the ring up as they delivered finisher for finisher, punch for punch. It seemed as if it were destiny for Orton to become the new WWE Champion as Orton. As the match went on, it was very unclear of who would walk away as the champion as both men were giving it their all. Sheamus seemed to take control of the match near the end. After hitting Orton with an enormous bicycle kick followed by a Celtic Cross, Sheamus goes for the cover only to have Randy Orton break out just as the Ref. goes for the final count. Frustration grew in Sheamus as he delivered yet another Celtic Cross to put Orton down. He goes for the cover only to have Orton kick out once more. Was it Orton's strive to become champion or was it fate? Sheamus's frustration grew larger as he could not take it anymore and grabs the championship belt and heads back into the ring. As Sheamus waits for Orton to get to his feet, he charges at Orton full speed with the belt in hand. Randy ducks in time to counter as Sheamus bounces off the ropes and into the start of an RKO. With Sheamus's quick thinking, he shoves Randy away. As Orton turns back around he is met in the face with the championship gold resulting Sheamus getting disqualified. Sheamus then follows through with a vicious beating by repeatability hitting Orton with the gold. Finally stopping the brutal beat down, Sheamus grabbed a mic telling Orton that he was never scared of him, he was only scared of what he would do to Orton.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kane vs. Rey Mysterio
Result: Kane pinned Mysterio after a Tombstone Piledriver.
Summary: In one of the most personal matches, Kane was determined to defeat who he thinks is the man that attacked his brother, The Undertaker. The match featured not only brute strength from Kane, but also high flying maneuvers from Rey Mysterio. To prove to Kane that he was not the attack and also to regain the title that Kane took from him, Mysterio had to win. When the match neared an end, Mysterio strove to come out on top in this match. After hitting Kane with a 619, Mysterio wanted to finish him off with his patented spring board splash. Mysterio leaped from the ropes only to find his throat securely in the hand of Kane, then slammed into the ring floor with a chokeslam from hell. Not only once, but twice. With Kane knowing he was going to come off as the winner, he secured that thought by finishing Rey Mysterio with a tombstone piledriver.

7-on-7 Elimination Match
Team RAW vs. Team Nexus
Result: Wade Barrett finished John Cena off with is fireman's carry slam and secured an upsetting pinfall.
Summary: Earlier in the evening The Miz cut a promo saying that becomes of Team RAW constant begging for him to join the team, that he has agreed to help Team RAW by saying he was their only chance. As the match got of to a start, The Miz walked to the middle of the ring and laid freely on the ring floor telling Slater to pin him resulting the the first elimination of the match. The Miz collects his brief case and United States Championship and walks towards the back with no remorse for his betrayal to his own team. As it came down to two men for each team. Wade Barrett and Justin Gabriel vs. John Morrison and John Cena. All men were tired and worn out as this has been one of the most anticipated and electrifying matches of the year. Morrison was soon beaten at his own high flying game after receiving a 450 splash from Gabriel. With the score now one up for Nexus, things weren't looking good for Team RAW. John Cena found himself on the bad end of the odds but was up to the challenge as this was one of the most important matches in history. Cena soon found himself in trouble as he lay in the center of the ring, with Gabriel on the turn buckle. Gabriel goes for his signature move, the 450 Splash, Cena manages to climb to his feet and catch Gabriel mid-air on his shoulders, delivering a devastating Attitude Adjustment. Wade Barrett finds himself in trouble as well as his partner soon finds himself locked into the infamous STF. Gabriel tries to hang on for as long as he can with Wade Barrett just standing on the ring apron watching Cenas every move. In no time at all Gabriel can't hold on any longer as he rapidly taps out for the next elimination but submission. Barrett gracefully steps into the ring as both he and John Cena stand toe to toe, staring each other down. The atmosphere in the arena became like no atmosphere before, as tension built around this match. Both leaders of the team go at it unleashing blows on each other. John Cena seemed to get the upper hand as he kicks the gut of Barrett and heads to the top rope. Cena leaps through the air towards the ring floor as Barrett rolled out of the way. Luckily Cena noticed as well as he countered by landing on his feet. Cena turns around towards Barrett to find himself hoisted on Barretts shoulders. Barrett goes for his finishing move only to have Cena preform a reversal and lands on his feet, this time hoisting Barrett on his shoulders and on to the ring floor with an Attitude Adjustment. The crowd erupts into a chorus of boo's as the rest of Team Nexus rushes to the ring. Nexus circles the ring and up on the ring apron. Cena clearly out numbered and out powered was still going to give it his best. As quick as the boo's rose in the arena, cheers began to scream from each and every fan as the rest of Team RAW came charging the ring. Soon enough the arena explodes into an all out brawl as both teams begin to brutally take each other out. With the Ref. too busy trying to get all twelve eliminated men out of the ring, Sheffield blindly hits Cena with a sickening clothesline before finding himself taken out by a spear from Edge. Finally the Ref. began to retake control of his ring, as all eliminated men on the outside of the ring, Barrett took this chance to finish John Cena with a firemans carry slam and in the blink of an eye had the last remaining member of Team RAW eliminated. Barrett and his men all narrowly escape up the entrance ramp as Team RAW stand in and around the ring in awe along side a shocked WWE Universe.
