As DC said, the presentation could have been a lot better, but unlike some of us, I get you aren't used to making a lot of opening posts. Anyway, I read your last thread at times, and I'll try and keep up with this one if the first show interests me.

Good luck.

Opening post was eh, but I could care less honestly. I was so accustomed to you having that one BTB for all those years, and here we go, a new one for you. Best of luck kid.

Default Re: WWE 2010: The Return of Excellence

Well here is the first full show that for this thread, and that I have written in three months. Obviously it might not be the best show and a little overbooked at times, but it's all about furthering storylines heading into the PPV. As far as NXT goes, there will be a small recap posted sometime this week, along with some news and notes. I might post the Smackdown preview up at the end of the week, with Smackdown being posted sometime next week in full. Once again, the show Superstars is not apart of this thread. Finally as far as the layout goes, I'm working on a new layout as of now, and as the thread goes on I might keep it like this or change it up a bit.

Raw for June 14th:
Philadelphia, PA
Wachovia Arena

*We open the show with a highlight video of the conclusion of last week’s show. Following that we open tonight’s show with no opening video, no opening pyro, but instead we open from the Raw production truck as we get a close up of the eight individuals responsible for last week’s attack. The production crew is straight up scared as we see Wade Barrett, Season 1 winner of NXT, with the other seven behind him. The crowd boos the group quite loudly as the Philadelphia crowd is livid*

Wade Barrett: Last Monday, a statement was made like never before. The eight of us single handily shook the foundation of the WWE to its very core!

*Huge Heat*

Wade Barrett: Last Monday we left “your” WWE Champion, John Cena, in a complete heap as he was carried out of the building in a stretcher. However it wasn’t just Cena who felt our wrath. It was each and every single individual who was out at ringside.

*Heat*

Wade Barrett: To those who were able to escape our destruction let me be clear. Last week was simply the beginning. Now let me say this. I am Wade Barrett and I am the winner of the first season of NXT!

*Heat*

Wade Barrett: With that accomplishment I have me a guaranteed contract for Monday Night Raw and a championship match at a Pay-Per-View, of MY CHOOSING!

*Heat*

Wade Barrett: Now you might be asking why I, Wade Barrett, would then decide to associate myself with the seven individuals who lost the contest. Well the answer is quite simple. It comes down to this. When we embarked on our mission last week, we did it together. We went through humiliation and embarrassment for four months, competing in ridiculous contests, and for what? JOKES AND LAUGHS!

*Heat*

Wade Barrett: Which brings us to here…AND NOW!

*The group begins to look at some of the production crew as Michael Tarver then snatches up one of the crew members, as Barrett gets in the face of him*

Wade Barrett: This is being shown throughout the arena?

*The guy nods his head yes*

Wade Barrett: Then I want to make this perfectly clear. Tonight WE are taking over this show! And we have only one demand!

*Major Heat*

Wade Barrett: The demand is that ALL EIGHT OF US HAVE GUARANTEED CONTRACTS FOR RAW, BY THE CONCLUSION OF THIS SHOW!

*Huge Heat*

Wade Barrett: And if that does not happen, here’s a preview of what is going to happen.

*Barrett snaps his finger as Tarver blindsides the crew member. The eight then proceed to attack him before throwing him out of the truck, as the camera gets a close up shot as the eight men leave the truck area*

*We cut to the commentators*

Michael Cole: Ladies and gentlemen what you have just heard is not a statement, but a promise. The WWE upper management has until the conclusion of this telecast to grant the other seven members from NXT season 1, Monday Night Raw contracts, or it seems that chaos will indeed take place again here tonight. Also ladies and gentlemen as a result of the attack from these individuals last week, my broadcast partner, WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry the King Lawler, is not here tonight. The King is at home in Memphis recovering, and here tonight is my NXT broadcast partner, Josh Matthews.

*Camera pans out to show Matthews*

Michael Cole: And Josh I just got to say after what happened last week, it has been a tense week for all of us here in the WWE, including us announcers. While I’m fortunate to have escaped the mayhem, several others did not.

Josh Matthews: That is true Michael. In addition to Jerry Lawler not being here tonight, ring announcer, Justin Roberts is not here either, and filling in him tonight is WWE Hall of Famer, Howard Finkel. But with these eight individuals have indeed made a point, and lets see how WWE upper management plans to respond.

Michael Cole: Before we begin we also want to let you know that John Cena, who is scheduled to defend the WWE Championship this Sunday at the Fatal 4 Way Pay-Per-View, is NOT at the arena tonight. Tonight we will have an update on the condition of the WWE Champion.

*I Came to Play hits over the PA system as the WWE United States Champion, The Miz, enters the arena as the first match is getting ready to take place as Finkel does the intros*

*Cole and Matthews put over the upcoming title match at the PPV for Miz, against R-Truth. Also the two speak on The Miz being the lone WWE pro to be apart of both NXT Season 1 and now NXT Season 2, and his rookie, Alex Riley. After a few moments, “Now Listen”, hits as John Morrison makes his way to the ring to a decent pop. The commentators put over the storied history between the two individuals, and will tonight be the night that Morrison gets some redemption over Miz*

Match 1: Non-Title Match:
The Miz(c) vs. John Morrison

With The Miz competing this Sunday against Morrison’s partner, R-Truth, the commentators frequently discuss Miz’s rise in the WWE as of late, with Cole praising Miz throughout for his improvement. Morrison, who is a former World tag team champion with Miz, is able to get the advantage in the early going using his athleticism as a point of reference.

The six minute mark of the match sees a clothesline between the two, which leads to a long count from the official. Morrison gets to his feet first and picks up Miz, who gives him a thumb to the eye. Morrison is sent shoulder first into the ring post. Miz continues to work over the shoulder of Morrison, as the crowd continues to boo the United States Champion.

Miz even begins to mock R-Truth, but begins to get a little carried away as Morrison makes a comeback. Morrison hits some of his signature moves, but Miz goes right back to the shoulder of Morrison. The finish of the match sees Miz going for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Morrison counters with a small package rollup. Cover. 1…2…3!!!

Howard Finkel: The winner of the match, John Morrison! MT-9:22

*Following the match, we see R-Truth come down to congratulate Morrison. Miz though tries to sneak attack Truth, but Truth was one step ahead of the champ, as he connects with a spinning side kick to the face of Miz. Miz is down as Truth celebrates as his music hits*

Michael Cole: The Miz tried to be sneaky but R-Truth had it covered. Can this Sunday, R-Truth once again become WWE United States Champion?

Josh Matthews: Well without a doubt the momentum is on the side of Truth, and if he carries it over to this Sunday, then it’s a good chance he leaves Long Island, as the NEW United States Champion!

*We get a closing shot of Miz still in the ring fuming, as Morrison and Truth are at the top of the ramp. We then cut backstage to Abraham Washington, who is with…SHEAMUS!*

Abraham Washington: Sheamus…

*Sheamus snatches the mic out of Washington’s hand*

Sheamus: Fella, I got this!

*Heat*

Sheamus: Last week I said that at the Fatal 4 Way PPV, I was going to once again become the WWE Champion and I stand here tonight saying the same thing!

*Heat*

Sheamus: As for what happened last week to John Cena, that’s not my style. I don’t NEED anyone to do my work for me. I do it on my own. So whether or not John Cena is able to compete this Sunday, the fact remains the same fella. And that is that I am leaving as the NEW WWE Champion!

*Sheamus then shoves the mic back in the chest of Washington as we cut to commercials*

*We see a replay of the attack to Jerry Lawler last week as part of the attack, before going back to the commentators*

Michael Cole: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Monday Night Raw. Last week WWE Hall of Famer, Jerry “The King” Lawler, was apart of the vicious assault that took place at the conclusion of last week’s show. Well as I mentioned earlier, Jerry is not here tonight. However I spoke with Jerry earlier today and said that he will be here on Raw, next Monday night, from Albany, and he wanted me to deliver a message to the group of thugs. That is he is challenging any one of the eight to a one on one match, next week on Raw!

*Decent pop for the announcement*

Josh Matthews: I just hope that Jerry knows what he is doing.

Michael Cole: Me too Josh. But if anyone knows how to get through it, it’s The King.

*We hear the music of Alicia Fox, as the match that is up next is Alicia Fox against Gail Kim*

Michael Cole: Well folks by way of wwe.com, it was announced earlier today that at WWE Fatal 4 Way, Eve, will defend the WWE Diva’s championship against Alicia Fox, Gail Kim, and Maryse in a Fatal 4 Way Match.

Josh Matthews: That is not good odds for the champion, Eve, as she does not have to be pinned in order to lose to the match and her Diva’s championship.

*Gail Kim’s music hits as the commentators put over Kim’s recent run in the WWE and on Monday Night Raw*

Match 2:
Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox

The match between the two divas is kept short as quite frankly, the feud is really being thrown together at the last moment. With that said, the two still manage to put on a decent match, with Fox showing a vast amount of improvement over the past couple of months. Kim despite using an array of moves to slow down Fox temporarily can not compete with the height advantage that Fox possesses over her. Fox ends the match with the scissors kick and gets the three count.

Howard Finkel: The winner of the match, Alicia Fox! Mt-3:53

Michael Cole: Alicia Fox continues her impressive run as of lately, and with three divas looking to become Diva’s champion, Eve, has her work cut out for her this Sunday.

*We cut backstage and we see Yoshi Tatsu and Primo talking backstage. The audio isn’t really being picked up when all of a sudden we see Skip Sheffield and the seven others circle the two*

Skip Sheffield: You say something to me?

Primo: NO!

Skip Sheffield: I ain’t hear ya!

Primo: NO!

*Primo then slaps Skip across the face*

Primo: Yoshi and I aren’t scared of you guys and are ready to take on all of you!

*Huge Pop*

Wade Barrett: Sheffield, fall back! Let’s go guys!

*Sheffield and Primo remain face to face, as the eight begin to leave as Primo and Yoshi continue to talk when…Sheffield clotheslines Primo across the back. And with that it is a complete 8 on 2 brawl as Sheffield picks up Primo and throws him right into one of the gates backstage. The eight then focus their attention on Tatsu as they club him with a series of punches and kicks before Darren Young connects with a vicious kick to the face of Tatsu as the eight picks up Tatsu by the chin as Bryan Danielson gets in the face of Tatsu and SMACKS HIM ACROSS THE FACE, BEFORE KICKING HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE! The crowd completely goes bananas as the eight men stand over Primo and Tatsu, as officials come checking on the two. We then cut to commercials*

Michael Cole: (Talking over the recapped footage of what took place before the commercials) Folks, what took place before we went to commercials was absouletly pathetic. Raw superstars, Primo and Yoshi Tatsu, were backstage talking when they were interrupted by the eight graduates from NXT season one. And after some intimidation from Skip Sheffield, the eight begin to mercilessly beat up the two in an eight on two attack. (Footage stops as we return to ringside).

Josh Matthews: You got to wonder what is going to happen tonight, should upper management not give into their demand, that all eight men receive guaranteed Raw contracts.

Michael Cole: Also tonight’s main event. A Triple Threat Match between the three number 1 contenders, Edge, Randy Orton, and Sheamus. What is going to happen there!

Josh Matthews: This is a threat that this business has not seen in such time, and we are sure that this is not the end.

*We cut to the ring and we see Ted Dibiase in the ring dressed to compete with Maryse by his side. Mic in hand, Ted begins to speak*

Ted Dibiase: I stand here before you all as a man who is worth more than each and every single one of you in this arena are combined!

*Huge Heat*

Ted Dibiase: And I stand in this ring with the most beautiful girl that you all have had the privilege to lay eyes upon.

*Cheers for Maryse who is stunning in a silver dress*

Ted Dibase: You see despite being the son of the Million Dollar man, I had to work hard for everything that I have ever had. And with that hard work comes a huge payout. And that payout is always a lot of cash!

*Dibase holds up a bunch of 100 dollar bills*

Ted Dibiase: With Maryse on my arms, you have the power couple of the WWE. The rich and beautiful! Virgil while he served the purpose of helping my father out, he proved to be not suited for the job in terms of helping me.

*Mixed Reaction*

Ted Dibiase: You see what you all are about to find out is that I will stop at nothing, in proving to be the best and proving to be that everyone has a price to pay!

*Heat as Ted hands the mic off to the ring hand and Mark Henry’s music hits to a huge pop. The commentators put over Henry’s recent wins on the brand, as the commentators put over the size advantage of Henry*

Match 3:

Ted Dibiase w/Maryse vs. Mark Henry

The match starts off with Ted trying to get away from Henry, but Henry is able to counter that with some slaps and some right hands. Henry sticks to his usual amount of slams and slaps to the body of Ted, while Maryse looks on. Ted though uses his quickness to dodge Henry, and begins to work on the right leg of the former ECW World Champion.

Ted hits two chopblocks to the “World’s Strongest Man”, as Ted looks to be in the driver’s seat. Ted looks to hit the Dreamstreet, but Henry counters and sends him to the ropes and out of nowhere hits the World’s Strongest Slam! Following that Henry makes the cover, but the beautiful Maryse gets on the apron. Maryse tries to enter the ring, at which the official stops her. Henry goes over to the two to try and stop her as well. Henry though is hit with a third chopblock to the leg from Ted. Ted then connects with Dream Street. Cover. 1…2…3!

Howard Finkel: The winner of the match, Ted Dibiase MT-6:20

Michael Cole: An impressive win for Ted Dibiase and a…excuse me folks I’m getting word that something is going on backstage and we need to attend to it immediately.

*We cut backstage and we see WWE Legend, Arn Anderson being attacked by the eight individuals this time with Barrett leading the attack with a big boot to the face and then tossing Arn right across of the tables in the back. Some of the other wrestlers begin to help out, but the jobbers that they are, are no match for these individuals. Shortly thereafter, Barrett speaks*

Wade Barrett: Time is running out and we still have not received an answer. This will continue to happen unless we get what we want. Gentlemen, let’s go!

*We see a battered Anderson, as we head to commercials*

*SECOND HOUR*

*We see highlights of what happened before the commercials as Cole speaks on a voiceover*

Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw. And folks the assaults and bullying from these eight rebels from NXT Season 1, continue their havoc here in Philadelphia. Before the commercial break we saw the eight men attack WWE Legend, Arn Anderson, and some wrestlers backstage as well.

*Clips from the beginning of the show is then shown*

Josh Matthews: And earlier tonight at the beginning of the show, the group attacked one of the production crew members back in one of the production trucks.

*We now are at ringside*

Michael Cole: This group has gotten completely out of hand. And Josh, they have made perfectly clear that more of this will continue to happen, unless they get what they want. In this case, it is guaranteed contracts for all eight of them. Wade Barrett, who won Season 1 of NXT has a guaranteed contract for Monday Night Raw, and a future championship title match at a Pay-Per-View. The other seven however have nothing.

Josh Matthews: And tonight’s Main Event, a Triple Threat Match involving Randy Orton, Edge, and Sheamus, will indeed have their attention as well as the attention of the WWE Champion, John Cena.

Michael Cole: John Cena, the current WWE Champion, is not here tonight as a result of the brutal attack at the conclusion of last week’s show. However at this time live via satellite and from his home in West Newbury, Mass, we would like to welcome to the WWE Universe, the WWE Champion, John Cena!

*Huge Pop as we see Cena on the big screen from his home, dressed in a black shirt and blue jeans, and a shiner under his left eye. Cena smiles a bit, but the smile is quickly gone as Cena is all business, despite the soft neck brace that is on his neck*

Michael Cole:
First off John, on behalf of Josh and myself and the entire WWE Universe, we want to thank you for joining us at this time following the attacks of last week.

*Cena nods*

Michael Cole: I’ll get right to it though and ask how are you doing at the moment?

John Cena: (Speaking sternly and at times slowly and intently): Michael, Josh, thank you. A big thanks also goes out to the WWE Universe. However the bottom line is that those punks banged me up kind of bad. This brace on my neck is not long term, but it’s on at the moment for a precaution. Last week when they attacked myself and CM Punk and Luke Gallows, they made a statement. And for that, I can’t knock that. The problem is…THEY PICKED THE WRONG GUY TO MAKE THAT STATEMENT!

*Pop from the crowd as Cena gets more serious*

Josh Matthews: With that said John, what are your thoughts about this Sunday’s Fatal 4 Way Pay-Per-View, in which you are scheduled to defend your WWE Championship, against Sheamus, Edge, and Randy Orton?

John Cena: Let me be clear when I say this. I WILL…BE AT LONG ISLAND THIS SUNDAY..AND I WILL..DEFEND THIS TITLE! (Holds up the title belt). To hell with doctors, to hell with attacks and assaults. I’m the WWE Champion, and I’m defending my title whether anyone likes it or not. My opponents better be ready because this Sunday I’m giving everything I have. And after this Sunday is over and my hand is raised as champion, the eight of you…especially you Daniel Bryan, I’m coming after each and every single one of you!

*Huge Pop, as Cena rips off his brace and stands up*

John Cena:
Last week you eight tried to end my career and ruin my life! And for that there WILL BE HELL TO PAY! I’m not playing when I say that you have made an enemy with the WRONG PERSON! I don’t care how long it takes nor where it takes place, but payback is coming! You all wanted to make a name for yourselves! You wanted attention! Well damn it you got it now! YOU GOT MY ATTENTION, AND REST ASSURE IT’S THE ATTENTION THAT YOU DON’T WANT! YOU ALL BETTER WATCH YOUR BACKS BECAUSE I’M COMING FOR ALL OF YOU! PAYBACK IS COMING YOU B1TCH!! (EXPLETIVE IS BLEEPED-(THREAD IS STILL UNDER TV PG FORMAT)

*Cena gets up and leaves the area as the satellite feed is cut*

Michael Cole: Strong words from the champion, Josh. This Sunday is going to be a can’t miss night.

Josh Matthews: That’s right Michael. WWE presents WWE Fatal 4 Way, a brand new Pay-Per-View, live this Sunday, June 14th, 2010, from the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York. And what a night it is going to be. The United States Championship will be on the line as The Miz defends the title against R-Truth!

Michael Cole: Earlier tonight John Morrison defeated The Miz in a non-title action, and following the match R-Truth gained some retribution against Miz after his actions of last week. These two will face off in a rematch from Over the Limit, and could this be the night that R-Truth wins the title back. Also from Smackdown, the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line as Kofi Kingston takes on Drew McIntrye.

Josh Matthews: These two fought last month at Over the Limit, in which Kingston became Intercontinental Champion. Can Mr. McMahon’s “Chosen One”, Drew McIntrye regain the title, or will Kingston continue his dominance as champion. Announced earlier tonight, a Fatal 4 Way match for the WWE Divas’ Championship will take place, as Eve will defend the titles against Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, and Maryse.

Michael Cole: Earlier tonight we saw Alicia Fox defeated Gail Kim in one on one action, Could that be the momentum Fox needs to win her first championship in the WWE, or will Eve remain the top diva on Raw. Remember Eve, does not have to be pinned to lose the title. Also as a result of last week’s actions, it has been announced that The Hart Dynasty, of David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd, will defend the WWE Unifed Tag Team Championships against The Usos.

Josh Matthews: These two multi-generational groups will look to settle the score once and for all this Sunday in Long Island. The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line as Jack Swagger takes on Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, and The Big Show!

Michael Cole: Jack Swagger has been champion for two months and after his convincing win against Randy Orton last month, he faces his biggest challenge yet against these three former World Champions! And finally folks, John Cena will defend the WWE Championship against Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Edge!

Josh Matthews: These four former champions and rivals all look to leave Long Island as the WWE Champion, and Cena who is not a 100 percent, does not have to be involved in the pinfall or submission to lose the WWE Championship. It is a brand new concept from the WWE. WWE Fatal 4 Way! Live this Sunday only on Pay-Per-View!

*Graphic of the Triple Threat Match for later tonight is shown*

Michael Cole: Well the pay-per-view is this Sunday, but tonight three of the four participants in the WWE Championship match for this Sunday will be in action. Randy Orton, Edge, and Sheamus will face off in a Triple Threat Match as tonight’s Main Event.

*We see The Great Khali walking down the halls with his brother/translator Rajin Singh*

Michael Cole:
However when we come back folks it will be The Great Khali takes on Chris Jericho in one on one action.

Josh Matthews: We’ll be right back!

*Commercials*

*The Fink does the introductions as Cole and Matthews continue to promote tonight’s Main Event*

Match 4:

The Great Khali vs. Chris Jericho

As the bell rings Jericho tries to back out of the way of Khali. However Jericho is able to duck and dodge the former World Champion before landing a couple of right hands to the torso. However it has little effect to Khali as he grabs Jericho and tosses him in the corner, before connecting with a huge chop to the chest. Jericho falls to the mat, as he grasps for air as Khali picks him up and hits a sidewalk slam. Khali begins to use his basic moves, with Jericho taking a lot of the moves here in the early going.

After countering a clothesline and hitting a chopblock to the right knee, Jericho begins to show why he is “the best in the world at what he does.” Jericho gets a little too full of himself as he goes for the lionsault, and Khali gets the knees up. Khali connects with a right hand that sends Jericho to the outside. We head to commercials with Khali playing to the crowd.

*Commercials*

We return from the break with Cole mentioning immediately following the match, a special announcement will be read regarding next week’s Raw. From there we go right back into the match, with Khali still in control as we are now at the eight minute mark of the match. After a two count we see Khali signal for the chokeslam, but Jericho somehow gets a thumb in the eye of Khali. Thinking he has the advantage, Jericho comes back at Khali, only to be stopped in his tracks by the big hand of the former champion.

Khali picks up Jericho, but Jericho kicks him in the knee this time slowing him down. While on one knee, Jericho hits the ropes and hits a modified bulldog. Jericho gets back up and hits the lionsault this time. Jericho makes a cover, and Khali kicks out with authority at the count of two. Jericho begins a game of cat and mouse as he leaves the ring. Khali chases after him with Jericho getting back in the ring first, and then dropkicking Khali at the leg.

Khali is back on one knee as Jericho comes off the ropes and hits a dropkick right to the face of Khali. Looking now to lock in the Walls of Jericho, Jericho goes for the move. But Khali counters and sends Jericho right to the corner. Jericho turns around and Khali goes for the brain chop. However Jericho counters and kicks the leg of Khali once more. Khali stumbles as Jericho immediately goes for and connects with the Codebreaker! Jericho makes the cover! 1…2…3!

Howard Finkel: The winner of the match, Chris Jericho! MT-10:22

Michael Cole: Chris Jericho picks up the big win tonight against The Great Khali, here on Monday Night Raw. But ladies and gentlemen…

*Cole is cut off by Jericho as he has a mic in his hand and is breathing heavily following the match*

Chris Jericho: It is a complete travesty that I, Chris Jericho, is not in the Fatal 4 Way match this Sunday for the WWE Championship!

*Huge Pop*

Chris Jericho: It is an even bigger travesty that I…DON’T EVEN HAVE A MATCH FOR THE PAY-PER-VIEW!

*Huge Pop*

Chris Jericho: You hyprocites can sit there and laugh all you want, but you know deep down that I deserve to be in that WWE Championship match. (Boos pick up) I deserve to be in it and each and every single one of you know it. Last time I was in a PPV match with a World title on the line, I walked out the ELIMINATION CHAMBER THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION…AND I BEAT THE UNDERTAKER *POP FOR MENTION OF TAKER* TO WIN IT!

*Huge Heat*

Chris Jericho: Mark my words to the four of you competing this Sunday. You have not heard the last of Chris Jericho. I will get my title match and soon become a SEVEN TIME WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, because I am truly the “BEST IN THE WORLD AT WHAT I DO!”

*Heat as Jericho’s music plays*

Michael Cole: Chris Jericho does seem to have a point. It is interesting that Jericho doesn’t even have a match scheduled for the pay-per-view this Sunday. But folks when we come back we will have an update concerning next week’s Raw.

Josh Matthews: And still to come, a preview for this Sunday’s Pay-Per-View will take place, as Sheamus, Randy Orton, and Edge, do battle in a Triple Threat Match. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials*

Michael Cole: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back to Monday Night Raw. In case you have just tuned in, the eight members who attacked wreaked havoc last week on Raw from NXT Season 1 has given WWE management to the end of tonight, to meet their demand of giving all eight members a contract to Monday Night Raw.

Josh Matthews: Tonight’s show opened up with the group attacking a production crew member inside the production truck. Then later on the group attacked Yoshi Tatsu and Primo Colon. And then after that they attacked WWE legend, Arn Anderson.

Michael Cole: Well we have received word that next week live on Monday Night Raw, a one night only General Manager will be announced and will give a decision on the future of this group. But that’s not all. Two weeks from tonight on Monday Night Raw, WWE Chairman, Mr. McMahon, will be in attendance to address the entire Monday Night Raw roster. What will the boss have to say about the future of WWE’s flagship program?

*We cut backstage to Edge talking on the phone with someone, when he is confronted by the eight men as he hangs up the phone*

Wade Barrett: Relax, Edge. We’re not here to attack you. We want to put you and everyone at rest by saying that our purpose goes far farther than John Cena and the WWE Championship. And soon the entire WWE universe and the entire WWE will understand our TRUE PURPOSE here in the WWE! Good luck with your match later tonight!

*The group leaves*

Michael Cole: What PURPOSE does these eight men have for being here, and when will we find out about it!

Josh Matthews: What is going to happen in the Triple Threat Match later tonight. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials*

*Sheamus’s music hits as we return to the show and Sheamus hits the ring to a lot of heat*

Howard Finkel: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Triple Threat Match, Introducing first from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Sheamus!

Michael Cole: Welcome back folks to Monday Night Raw! Michael Cole and Josh Matthews here from Philadelphia, and it’s time for the triple threat match main event. Sheamus, the former WWE Champion, will be facing both Edge and Randy Orton. Sheamus earlier said that he does not worry about the eight men, because this Sunday he’s leaving the Fatal 4 Way PPV as the NEW WWE Champion!

*Metalingus hits as Edge hits the ring to a mixed reaction*

Howard Finkel: Introducing his opponents, first, from Toronto, Canada, weighing in at 228 pounds, The Rated R Superstar, Edge!

Josh Matthews: The former nine time World Champion looks to become champion for a tenth time this Sunday. However here tonight, Edge is going to have to both of these former World champions

*Voices hits as Randy Orton hits the arena to a huge pop*

Howard Finkel: And from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 232 pounds, The Viper, Randy Orton!

Michael Cole: What an ovation from Randy Orton. The man who last month suffered an injury to his right shoulder, looks to be near 100 percent once again. And the viper seems like he is ready to go!

Main Event: Triple Threat Match
Randy Orton vs. Sheamus vs. Edge

The bell rings as the three men look at one another, daring one person to make a move. After a while it is Edge who makes the first move as he hits Sheamus. Sheamus hits him back and then hits Orton. Orton fires back at Sheamus and the two begin to go at it. Edge tries to get involved, but is thrown to the outside by the other two. Sheamus then cheap shots Orton, as he begins to gain some control. The first ever Irish born WWE Champion begins to connect with some well placed kicks to the former multi time WWE Champion. Orton is hit with a huge clothesline as Sheamus makes the first cover of the match. A two count ensues as Sheamus picks up Orton and sends him to the corner. After connecting with a huge boot to the face, Orton rolls out of the ring. Sheamus is in control, as we head to our final commercial break of the evening!

*Commercials*

We’re back in the ring now and Edge and Sheamus are going at it. During the commercial break, we saw Orton being sent shoulder first into the steel steps. Since then it’s been all Edge and Sheamus. Back in the ring, Edge hits a huge clothesline to the former WWE Champion, as the sold out crowd in Philly looks on. Edge sends Sheamus to the corner, and goes for a second clothesline but misses. Sheamus kicks Edge in the stomach, and hits a snap suplex. Two count follows as Sheamus connects with a series of right hands. Edge gets to his feet and walks right into a bicycle kick from Sheamus. Sheamus picks up Edge and hits a scoop slam. Not one to go to the top rope, Sheamus makes his way to the top, but Edge is up to meet him. The two brawl with Sheamus trying to get Edge back to the canvas. However Edge counters and hits a huge superplex from off the top rope, as both men are down. Orton is still down on the outside as the time continues to go!

Edge makes the cover and gets only a two count as Orton breaks up the count. Orton picks up Sheamus and sends him to the ropes and ducks a right hand. Orton then goes for the RKO but Sheamus counters. Sheamus goes for the boot, but Orton ducks and then hits the backbreaker. Sheamus gets to his feet and Edge floors him with the spear! Sheamus rolls out of the ring and Edge calmly turn around and locks eyes with Orton! The crowd is on its feet, as both men waste no time in trash talking, and begins to swing right hands as the crowd is eating up the action! Orton gets the early advantage, but Edge counters with a thumb to the eye. Orton stumbles around and Edge hits a huge side slam. Edge then begins to mock Orton with his stomping across the body. Edge picks up Orton and hits an atomic drop, before hitting a picture perfect dropkick.

Edge looks to hit the spear but Orton ducks and then goes for the backbreaker. However Edge counters and hits the Edgeuction. Edge then makes the cover but only gets a two count. Edge picks up Orton and sends him to the ropes. Edge then goes for the spear and misses again. Out of nowhere he turns around and is floored by the RKO by Orton! Orton looks to make the cover, when all of a sudden….the ring is surrounded as Skip Sheffield clotheslines Sheamus! Darren Young and David Otunga then begin to break down the announce table, as Cole and Matthews were able to get out of the way at the last possible moment. However some of the other ring crew members weren’t so lucky. The others enter the ring and begin to surround Orton. Orton swings at Barrett, but it is a complete mugging. Tarver hits a huge clothesline, followed by a huge spinning heel kick. The others pick up Edge and put him in the corner, as Daniel Bryan connects with a huge running kick to the face of Edge. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater take apart the ring, while Otunga and Young attack some of the cameramen. Fink is clotheslined by Sheffield, as the area is quickly turning into the conclusion of last week’s show. Sheamus tries to get in the ring, but is hit in the back with a chair by Gabriel. In the ring now Barrett picks up Orton and hits him with the Wasteland. The ropes are now down and the ring is looking like last week, as Sheffield clotheslines Edge like crazy. Danielson then locks in a crossface like submission hold to Edge, while Young picks up Sheamus, and Barrett has Otunga hit a flapjack slam. Gabriel goes to the top rope and then connects with the 450 to Orton! Edge is slowly picked up to his knees as Danielson connects with a kick to the face of Edge. Sheamus is picked up by Tarver and is hit with a huge spinebuster right on the canvas. And after connecting with a 450 to Orton, Gabriel does the same to Sheamus. Following the actions in which the crowd is completely livid, the eight men begin to leave the ring, exiting the same way as they did last week. This time no officials come to help the three men, as we conclude the show with a wide-out camera shot of the ring being destroyed. The three number 1 contenders for the WWE championship are completely out, as all we hear is the reaction of the crowd as Raw comes to a conclusion!

*End of Show*

WWE NXT Preview for June 15th, 2010:

The second episode of NXT Season 2 takes place from Wilkes-Barre, PA. After last week's conclusion of the season 2 pros showing the rookies, that what happened last week at the conclusion of Raw won't be tolerated this season, what will happen this week?

With just three weeks away from the first elimination, how will the rookies do as they are continually watched under the eyes of their pros and the entire WWE Universe?

All this and much more on NXT season 2!

OOC: To be honest, there won't be a lot of the contests obviously that was in season 1, as I don't find it useful to the storylines. Also the eliminations will most likely be done in a voting pattern from the readers of this thread. And one more thing, Michael McGullinty, will be going by his real name of Joe Henning. Here are the show's pairings:

Rookie-Pro:

Husky Harris-Cody Rhodes
Perry Watson-MVP
Kaval-LayCool
Alex Riley-The Miz
Titus O Neal-Zack Ryder
Eli Cottonwood-John Morrison
Joe Henning-Kofi Kingston
Lucky Cannon-Mark Henry

NXT will be sometime within the next week in recap form.

Default Re: WWE 2010: The Return of Excellence

WWE NXT-June 15th, 2010-Wilkes-Barre, PA-Wachovia Center at Casey Plaza-Recap Form

We open up with the opening video and pyro as Michael Cole and Josh Matthews open the show as we’re five days away from the WWE Fatal 4 Way PPV. After opening comments, we are taken to Matt Striker, the host, as he introduces the rookies and their pros. From there it is announced that in three weeks the first NXT Season 2 Poll will be announced, and the rookie with the lowest ranking will be ELIMINATED! However tonight the main event on NXT will be WWE Pro “Dashing” Cody Rhodes taking on rookie Kaval! Striker lets the rookies know that these next two weeks are very important, as their futures in this company depend on it. We then cut to commercials.

Upon returning from commercials we see our first match of the evening, which puts WWE rookie Titus O Neal and his pro Zack Ryder against the team of Lucky Cannon and his WWE pro, Mark Henry. The match which goes no longer than five minutes showcases the strength of O’Neal, and the surprisingly remarkable agility of Lucky Cannon. The finish of the match comes as Titus goes for an Argentine Powerbomb. However Lucky counters with a rollup pin cover for the win. After the match Striker asks for O’Neal’s comments in which the rookie admits that he got a little too ahead of himself, and failed to get the win. His pro, Zack Ryder says that a long as he’s in his corner, the WWE universe is going to hear a lot more from O’Neal, “Wooh-Hoo!” Following that we go to Cole and Matthews who mention that later in the show, they will show in entirety the conclusion of last night’s shocking attack on Monday Night Raw, from the eight graduates from Season 1 of NXT. However as a way to get the fans caught up with the rookies, a video package of MVP’s pro, Percy Waston, is shown. The vp which is basically the same that was shown IRL, highlights Waston’s life before getting into the business and ending with his catchphrase of “Oh Yeah!” A graphic video of the main event of Rhodes/Kaval is shown as we go to commercials.

We return from the break and our second match is announced as WWE pro, John Morrison takes on WWE rookie, Alex Riley. During the match Cole and Matthews put over Morrison/Miz’s match from last night on Raw, and what happened following the victory for Morrison. The two also hype up the US title match between Miz and Morrison’s tag partner, R-Truth, this Sunday at WWE Fatal 4 Way. As far as the match goes Morrison stays in control for most of the match, with Miz barking orders at his rookie, Riley. It seems that it begins to work, as Riley begins to gain control and work over the torso and ribs of the former Intercontinental Champion. Despite not being in the match we see him get involved after Morrison hits The Moonlight Drive, as he gets on the ropes. Morrison pulls Miz into the ring, but Riley comes back and attacks the right leg of Morrison. Miz watches as he slides out of the ring, as Riley picks up Morrison and hits the TKO. Riley gets the win and afterwards the two begin to attack Morrison. However Eli Cottonwood, Morrison’s rookie, enters the ring and the Miz and Riley leave the ring. Cottonwood checks on Morrison, as Miz and Riley reenter and attack Cottonwood, focusing on the right knee of the rookie. Miz then picks up Morrison, and as a message to R-Truth, hits the Skull Crushing Finale to Morrison, to a heat of boos. The pro and rookie stand tall as both Morrison and Cottonwood are down. Cole and Matthews speak on what happened just now as we see another graphic of last night’s attack that will be shown later tonight. However when we come back it will be rookie Joe Henning taking on rookie Husky Harris. We then go to commercials.

The show is back as our third match takes place. The match which features both rookies is actually the best match of the show thus far, as before the match Husky tries to intidimate host Matt Striker. Joe Henning, dressed in a singlet with one strap, like his father, the late Mr. Perfect Curt Henning, uses his quickness to stop the brute strength of the self proclaimed “Army tank with a Ferrari engine.” However Husky counters and hits an Ura-nage. However Henning gets the shoulder up at the count of two. The finish of the competitive match sees Henning connecting with the Henning-Plex. Henning gets the 1-2-3 at the 6:02 mark. Following the match we see his pro Kofi Kingston congratulate him for the win. Cole and Matthews put over following the commercial break the entire conclusion of last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw. We go to commercials.

Cole and Matthews welcome us back to the show and mention that what is about to be seen is from last night and shows the complete chaos, that is affecting Monday Night Raw, and quite possibly the entire WWE.

FROM LAST NIGHT’S RAW-TRIPLE THREAT MATCH-EDGE/ORTON/SHEAMUS

Edge looks to hit the spear but Orton ducks and then goes for the backbreaker. However Edge counters and hits the Edgeuction. Edge then makes the cover but only gets a two count. Edge picks up Orton and sends him to the ropes. Edge then goes for the spear and misses again. Out of nowhere he turns around and is floored by the RKO by Orton! This time no officials come to help the three men, as we conclude the show with a wide-out camera shot of the ring being destroyed. The three number 1 contenders for the WWE championship are completely out, as all we hear is the reaction of the crowd as Raw comes to a conclusion!
Following that Cole and Matthews run down the PPV card, before saying that it was confirmed on Raw that John Cena WILL BE AT THE PPV AND WILL BE DEFENDING THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP! Following the announcement we see the graphic for the ME as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes will be facing rookie Kaval.

The Main Event which goes about eight minutes sees the crowd completely behind Kaval, as the match is a back and forth style from the opening bell. Despite being the pro, Rhodes seems to have quite a challenge in front of him, as he finds himself up against the ropes, quite a bit throughout the match. The finish of the match sees Kaval go for the stomp off the ropes, but Rhodes moves out of the way. Kaval lands on his feet and goes for the Kaval Combo, and gets 2/3 through it, when Rhodes counters the last part and hits Crossroads out of nowhere! Rhodes makes the cover and gets the three count as Rhodes’s momentum continues as the PPV draws near. Cole and Matthews put over Rhodes’ win while Cole continues to mock Kaval’s career in the indies. The show concludes as the commentators and Striker put over the first elimination that will take place in three weeks.

*End of Show*

**Smackdown will be up in full later this week or early next week**

Default Re: WWE 2010: The Return of Excellence

Let me start off by saying I like your style, it's easy to read and the full promos really add to the story. When guys like Wade Barrett and John Cena talked I could hear their voices in my head which is a good sign. There's not that much to say at the moment though, it was your first RAW and it's hard to already make significant changes to real life with just one show. I hope you put a spin on the Nexus angle and it looks like you're about to give Ted DiBiase a good push which I like. Overall a nice read. Not really a fan of big pieces of text entirely in red, so maybe you could spice it up somehow?

I think NXT would benefit from full promos by the way.

Jethro, thanks for the feedback. Just some points to point out though:

The Nexus angle will be a bit different than what has taken and is taking place currently IRL. With the exception of elimination shows and/or otherwise stated beforehand, the NXT shows will be done in recap form for the time being.

With that said here is the Smackdown Preview for June 18th, 2010:

Smackdown comes to you from Pittsburgh, PA. With the final stop before WWE Fatal 4 Way PPV, what is going to happen when all four competitors involved in the World Heavyweight Championship match is in action in singles' matches?

Also will Smackdown General Manager, Teddy Long, have to say anything about the brutal attack that took place this past Monday on Raw, once again involving the eight graduates of NXT Season 1, and the three number contenders for the WWE Championship!

Finally after last week's chilling promo from Kane, concerning his brother The Undertaker's condition following Memorial Day weekend, what will The Big Red Machine have in store for Smackdown as he continues his search for the attacker on his brother.

All this and much more on Smackdown! Smackdown will be posted in full!

**Sorry for the long delay of posting this show, but Life>BTB. With that said, expect this thread to pick up over the next couple of weeks.**

Smackdown for June 18th, 2010-Pittsburgh, PA-Mellon Center

*The new opening theme for Smackdown (“Let it Rock” by Kevin Rudolf f/Lil’ Wayne-*Theme of the 2009 Royal Rumble) hits as we get the opening video and pyro*

Todd Grisham: The final stop before WWE Fatal 4 Way this Sunday, makes its way through Pittsburgh and the Mellon Center! Todd Grisham and Matt Striker with you at ringside and what a night it is going to be!

Matt Striker: That’s right Todd. All four competitors involved in this Sunday’s World Heavyweight Championship match will be in action tonight.

Todd Grisham: Also tonight we will see the brutal attack that the eight graduates from NXT season 1, put on the three number one contenders for the WWE Championship.

Matt Striker: These faction is a threat that this company has not seen for a long time, and it seems as if they are completely bent on shaking this company to the core.

Todd Grisham: Well thus far their purpose is being heard loud and clear. It’s that they…

*This Fire Burns hits as CM Punk makes his way to the ring with his Straight Edge Society members, the beautiful Serena, and Luke Gallows to a bunch of heat. Punk has a mic in his hand as he signals for his music to be cut as he begins to speak*

CM Punk: This Sunday you all will be witnesses to a dawning of a new day here on Smackdown. For this Sunday, I will once again reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship, and prove that being Straight Edge is the ONLY way to go to being World Heavyweight Champion!

*Heat*

CM Punk: Yet tonight being stuck here in Pittsburgh will have to do for now!

*Heat*

CM Punk: For a city that builds itself on hard work, respect, and dignity, you all sure do not look like it. Neither you nor your precious athletes!

*Huge Heat as the trio enter the ring*

CM Punk: You boo me because you know that I speak the truth. That you know that deep down you all can be just like Serena, Luke, and myself. However your unwillingness to change and your stubbornness to clutch onto your drink or drug of choice, is what prevents you from being as pure as we are.

*Heat*

CM Punk: What you all lay your eyes upon in this ring is a matter of preservance in a country that is filled with indignant people, who matter of recreation and enjoyment is downing a bunch of cold ones and popping pills.

*Heat*

CM Punk: It is what makes this Sunday even more sweeter…

*Bringing the Hood to U hits as JTG makes his way to the ring to a huge pop*

Tony Chimel: Introducing his opponent from Brooklyn, New York, weighing in at 235 pounds, JTG!

Todd Grisham: In our first of four big time matches, it will be CM Punk facing off against JTG.

Matt Striker: Punk has the advantage of having his Straight Edge Society with him, however it is the quickness and elusiveness of JTG, that is going to keep Punk on his toes throughout this match,

Todd Grisham: You gotta imagine though what a win over the former World Heavyweight Champion can do for JTG’s career, especially here on Smackdown.

Match 1:
CM Punk (w/Straight Edge Society) vs. JTG

We kick off the program with a match between a former two time World Champion and a upstart trying to make a name for himself in the singles’ ranks. JTG surprisingly gets the early advantage as we see him really keep Punk on the disadvantage. Punk tries to work over the legs and torso of JTG, but the man from Brooklyn, refuses to show an ounce of quit. JTG connects with a series of his signature moves as the crowd get behind him, as he continues to play to the crowd. Luke Gallows tries to get involved however he is stopped by JTG as well. Punk tries to blindside JTG, but JTG had the move scouted. JTG then goes for and connects with the Da Shout Out! JTG makes the cover but the lovely Serena enters the ring. The official stops her from getting in, at which point JTG gets to his feet and goes to the ropes. However as he turns around Punk connects with a kick to the stomach and hits the GTS! Instead of going for the cover though, Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice. Try as he might, it’s not long before JTG taps out to the vicious submission hold!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, CM Punk! MT-8:33

Todd Grisham: CM Punk is looking to make a point here tonight with his submission victory, as he is one of the four participants in the Fatal 4 Way Pay-Per-View match of the World Heavyweight Championship. All four participants are in competition tonight.

Matt Striker: See Todd you are misguided if you don’t believe that this Sunday is the chosen night for CM Punk and the crowning of the World Heavyweight Championship upon him.

Todd Grisham: You really don’t care what comes out your mouth at times do you, Matt?

Matt Striker: I have no problem Todd. It’s just that when I speak on things they come true,

Todd Grisham: Um…whatever! We still got plenty of matches and more action to take care here tonight. We’ll be back!

*Commericals*

Todd Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. Just a few moments ago, CM Punk, defeated JTG in singles’ competition. Tonight as per request of Smackdown GM, Teddy Long, all four members involved in this Sunday’s Fatal 4 Way World Heavyweight Championship match will be in competition.

Matt Striker: The leader of The Straight Edge Society just showed that he is a threat and a force to be reckoned with come this Sunday.

*Broken Dreams hits as Drew McIntrye makes his way to the ring as Chimel does the intros for the next match*

Match 2:
Drew McIntrye vs. Vance Archer

While Archer is a great athlete in his own right, this is nothing more than an exhibition for McIntrye. McIntrye is almost beside himself in making a point to the Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston. McIntrye mostly toys with Archer for most of the match, with Archer connecting with a slimmer of his moves. Before letting the momentum get to an unreachable point for Archer, McIntrye connects with Future Shock. After making the cover, Mac gets the three count for the win!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Drew McIntrye! MT-4:02

*McIntrye snatches a mic from Chimel as he goes to the outside*

Drew McIntrye: Kofi Kingston…I know you’re watching from the back and I know you can hear me. This Sunday that Intercontinental Championship is going back around MY WAIST!

*Huge Heat*

Drew McIntrye: KOFI…I…AM THE CHOSEN ONE…NOT YOU! Mr. McMahon told me that I was and this Sunday I’m going to…

*Drew drops the mic as he sees Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston sprint into the ring as Drew tries to attack him. Drew connects with a series of right clubbing hands, however Kofi continues to fight. Kofi turns the brawl into his direction, as he gets to his feet. Drew comes at Kofi once more but this time Kofi ducks and then connects with Trouble in Paradise out of nowhere. Drew falls to the floor on the outside as Kofi’s music hits to a huge pop.*

Todd Grisham: What a rush of momentum for Kofi Kingston! These fans are on their feet for the Intercontinental Champion!

Matt Striker: Don’t sweat it Todd. Kofi’s technique is all for show. This right here means nothing, just a brief temporary setback for the challenger. This Sunday the title’s coming home to “The Chosen One”, Daddy-O!

Todd Grisham: NO…just…just stop it. *Shakes his head* Well folks when we come back we will be hearing from the World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials*

*We cut to the locker room and we see the World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. Jack receives a lot of heat from the crowd before speaking*

Jack Swagger: As the World Heavyweight Champion I have requested and received this time to address the Smackdown audience and the Smackdown locker room. This Sunday your champion is being forced to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against one, two, but THREE unworthy opponents!

*Huge Heat*

Jack Swagger: You see, I’m Jack Swagger! An All American. No, An All-American-American…AMERICAN! But more importantly, I am the World Heavyweight Champion!

*Huge Heat, but Swagger continues to speak over the crowd*

Jack Swagger: But to defend my title is an outrage. I should have say as to who I defend my title against. But let me just say this, after this Sunday, the cards will be in MY HANDS! Earlier this week I went to WWE headquarters, and spoke with upper management and told them my story. How here on Smackdown, I have been treated unfairly and unjust by our General Manager. How I have been forced to defend my title in such dubious situations. And you know what? They agreed with me and they agreed with this statement. That should…NO…WHEN I AM VICTORIOUS this Sunday, I will NOT have to defend my title until the next month’s PPV, and I GET TO CHOOSE WHO I WILL DEFEND THE TITLE AGAINST!

*Huge Heat*

Jack Swagger: But that’s this Sunday. Tonight as I face off against Christian, I want you to know that there’s history between the two of us. Back in ECW, YOU BEAT ME TO BECOME THE NEW ECW CHAMPION.

*Huge Pop*

Jack Swagger: And tonight I’m going to show you that I am the better World Champion than the two of us.

*Swagger smirks at the camera as we cut to ringside*

Todd Grisham: Jack Swagger looks focused and determined as he knows he’s in for a huge fight this Sunday. He can lose his title and not even be involved in the match-ending predicament.

Matt Striker: Jack Swagger though has the smarts and the wits to not allow himself to be put in that type of situation. It’s not The Big Show that the other three should be concerned, it’s my man, the World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger!

Todd Grisham: Is there someone in the back that is feeding you these ridiculous lines to say, Matt?

Matt Striker: Nope this is straight up off the top of the dome, TG.

Todd Grisham: TG? Really, Matt?

Matt Striker: Yeah, it has style and substance. Two things that YOU DON’T have.

*Chimel does the introductions*

Match 3:
Cody Rhodes vs. Tyler Reks

In a departure from the four big matches, we see “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, takes on Tyler Reks. Rhodes who as of late, has been offering his “Dashing” grooming tips, is all business in this match as he wastes no time in getting the offense on Reks. Reks, though proves he’s no pushover as he connects with a series of impressive moves, even throwing the former World Tag Team Champion off his game at times. Reks hits his springboard dropkick but only gets a two count. However that move brings Cody back on his game, as he sidesteps a speeding Reks right into the corner. Holding his right shoulder, Reks turns around and is floored by Cody with CrossRoads. Rhodes makes the cover and gets the three count for the win!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes! MT-5:15

Todd Grisham: Cody Rhodes looks impressive in victory here tonight against Tyler Reks. Cody has really been building some momentum for himself as of late.

Matt Striker: That’s “Dashing” Cody Rhodes to you Todd. However you’re right, as Rhodes has been on quite the momentum build the past few weeks. Only time will tell where he goes from here, but I have a feeling that championship gold is in his future, and that will be real soon.

*We cut backstage to Josh Matthews*

Josh Matthews: Ladies and gentlemen at this time I am joined by one of the four participants in this Sunday’s World Heavyweight Championship match, Rey Mysterio!

*Huge pop as Mysterio enters the camera’s view*

Josh Matthews: Rey Mysterio, tonight you face off against your good friend Matt Hardy, in what should be an excellent match. However my question is what are your thoughts heading into the PPV this Sunday?

Rey Mysterio:
First off Josh, you’re right. Me and Matt are going to tear the house down tonight out in that ring! *Pop* However as far as this Sunday is concerned, I got three competitors looking to accomplish the same goal that I’m trying to do. And that is to leave that match as the World Heavyweight Champion! When I won the World Heavyweight Championship four years ago, it was the greatest feeling in my career. And since then I’ve worked through injuries, surgeries, and countless doubt to get back to this opportunity. CM Punk, is one talented kid and without a doubt he is someone who has been on his game as of late. Big Show. There’s no getting around the fact that he is without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most intimdating people to be in the ring against. And Jack Swagger, the current World Champion, He has changed his whole outlook over the past couple of months, and is proving why he is indeed the World Champion at the moment. With that said though this Sunday all that goes out the window. It’s going to come down to who wants the win more! Who wants to be champion more, and trust me in that department no body has me beat. So get ready for the last words you hear from that match is the NEW World Heavyweight Champion, Rey Mysterio!

*Huge Pop as Mysterio leaves the area*

Josh Matthews:
Thank you Rey.

*We cut to commercials*

*We see a clip of the beginning of the show with CM Punk followed by his match and victory over JTG*

**SECOND HOUR**

Todd Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown folks. Todd Grisham and Matt Striker here with you from Pittsburgh, PA, and the Mellon Center. We’re just two nights away from WWE’s new pay-per-view, Fatal 4 Way. Both World Championship matches will be decided in fatal-4-way stipulations. In which case the champion can lose the title without being pinned,

Matt Striker: That leaves the champion at a great disadvantage, as he only has a 25 percent chance of winning and even more so, he does not have to be involved in the finishing pinfall or submission to lose the title.

Todd Grisham: Well the main event from Monday Night Raw is the WWE Championship Fatal 4 Way Match, between Sheamus, Randy Orton, Edge, and John Cena. Well last week we saw the horrific attack from the eight graduates from NXT Season 1, as John Cena was brutally attacked in an eight on one assault. Well this past Monday, John Cena was not at Raw, but said via satellite that he will be in Long Island this Sunday, and he WILL be defending the WWE Championship in the fatal-four-way match,

Matt Striker: However a triple threat match took place between the other three competitors for the WWE Championship. And we all saw that the eight renegades was out to make a statement, that went further than the WWE Champion, John Cena.

*Queues video up*

*Video ends as we return to the announcers*

Todd Grisham: Just horrific is the only way to describe it. These eight men are walking around with some type of agenda and they mean complete business.

Matt Striker: I can tell you from feeling the boot of Skip Sheffield, that this group is focused on getting their demands met. By any means necessary as well as showing that this is not some type of jokes. This Sunday is going to be an interesting night, as it could be a changing night for the company WWE forever,

Todd Grisham: That is true. This Sunday can be a complete momentum changer in the favor of these eight individuals.

Matt Striker: This Sunday by no means is anyone safe in the WWE locker room, with these eight renegades running shop.

Todd Grisham: We still have a long night here folks including two big main events. We’ll be right back!

*Commercials*

*We see clips of last week’s show opening with Kane entering the ring and delivering a passionate speech about his brother, The Undertaker, being attacked during Memorial Day weekend. Kane vows to find the culprit behind the heinous attack*

*Burned V2 hits as Kane hits the ring to a nice pop*

Todd Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown folks, Last week Kane announced that during the Memorial Day weekend, his brother, The Undertaker, was found in a comatose state, after an assumed attack by and unknown assailant.

Matt Striker: Well Kane did mention that he will not stop at nothing to find that individual, and bring him to justice.

*Kane is in the ring, mic in hand, house lights are all red*

Kane: Last week I stood in this ring as I looked inside the cold casket outside, and wondered what would make someone so capable of inflicting such pain toward someone as The Undertaker! I stood there as I watched my older brother, a mere shell of his former self, lying there, barely able to move. I saw the pain that was etched in his face and the misery and turmoil that was buried within his soul!

*Kane pauses and lets the words sink in*

Kane: Whomever did this was someone was someone who doesn’t wish their career to last long in this business. When I find out who this trust me, TRUST ME, they will have HELL TO PAY. THEY WILL…

???: EXCUSE ME!! EXCUSE ME!

*Tremendous Heat is started as Vickie Guerrero appears on the top of the stage, as the light comes back to normal*

Vickie Guerrero: Excuse me! I have something important to say! My boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler is sick and tired of being mistreated and misused here on Smackdown! So tonight he is going to make a statement, and that statement begins by facing and defeating YOU, KANE!!

*Huge Heat as “I AM Perfection” hits as Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring to a lot of heat*

Todd Grisham:
Is Dolph crazy. Does he not know what he’s getting himself into. Kane is not in a good mood, and that can only mean bad things for Ziggler.

Matt Striker: Todd, don’t doubt the skills of Dolph, nor the skills of the lovely Vickie Guerrero. These two would not enter propose this proposition unless they were sure that they were able to claim victory here tonight.

Todd Grisham: Well we have an official out here, so it looks like it’s going to be Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane.

Match 4:
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane

Dolph starts the match off with a fury of rights and lefts. However Kane is not even taking him serious, by shoving him across the ring quite easily. Dolph comes back with a slap across the face that wakes up Kane. Sensing danger, Ziggler slides out of the ring and sends Kane on a big chase. Ziggler slides back in the ring and then back out, as Kane reenters the ring. However this time, Kane catches Ziggler by the hair. Ziggler turns around and lands a thumb to the eye. Ziggler then connects with a huge dropkick from the top rope. Looking to get a quick win, Ziggler makes the cover. 1…2…and Ziggler is stopped by Kane. Kane gets up and Ziggler comes back at him. Kane floors him with a big boot to the face. Ziggler is on dream street as Kane launches off the top rope and hits the top rope clothesline. Ziggler is turned inside out, as Kane picks him up and goes for the chokeslam! Kane connects and makes the cover. 1…2…3! It’s over!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Kane! MT-2:12

Todd Grisham: Kind of obvious isn’t it Matt, that Kane would win this match.

Matt Striker: Without question. I’m a fan of Ziggler, but I’m not sure this was a great idea.

Todd Grisham: You just said that Ziggler and Vickie knew what they were doing.

Matt Striker: True I did say that. But…that was before the bell rang!

Todd Grisham: Interesting.

*We see a split screen of Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy*

Todd Grisham: Well in a way a bit of friendly rivalry renewed when we come back, as Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio face off against one another!

*Commercials*

Match 5:
Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio

The match between these two is everything that you would expect, as from the opening bell the two pull out all of the stops. The commentators put over Hardy’s erratic behavior as of late, with his dealings to Drew McIntrye, to Mysterio’s recent issues with CM Punk, and his Straight Edge Society. With that established, we see while both are faces, Matt does utilizes some heel tactics.

We head to the first commercial break of the match after a huge splash from Rey to Matt to the outside. We return from the break, and we see Rey continually being the faster of the two highflyers. Matt catches Rey with a clothesline in mid air, and begins to go back on the attack. Matt focuses on an abdominal stretch, followed by weakening the legs of the former World Champion.

However Mysterio being the “Ultimate Underdog”, continues to fight back connecting with a fury of moves, including a huge senton splash from off the top rope. After a long two count, we see Matt get back some momentum, by hitting a huge scoop slam, and a top rope leg drop. Matt only gets a two count, as his frustration begins to show. At this point the commentators begin to speculate about Matt’s behavior as of late.

Matt looks to hit the Twist of Fate, but is countered again by Rey. Rey sends Matt to the ropes, and Matt misses a clothesline, before Rey takes him down with a headscissors. Matt gets back up to his feet and Mysterio quickly dropkicks him into the ropes. Caught up on the ropes, Rey hits the ropes and hits Matt with the 619! Mysterio quickly goes to the top rope and hits the splash from the top. Cover. 1….2…3!

Tony Chimel: The winner of the match, Rey Mysterio! MT-22:45

Matt Striker: Hats off to both men as they put on a match that will be remembered for a long time.

Todd Grisham:
Yeah for over twenty men these two put on a match that this crowd is not going to forget any time soon. Rey Mysterio though gets the huge win leading into Fatal 4 Way!

Matt Striker: However as huge of a night it has been folks, we got our Main Event up next.

Todd Grisham: That’s right. The World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger, takes on Christian!

*Commercials*

*Chimel does the introductions*

Main Event: Non-Title
Jack Swagger(c) vs. Christian

The main event is given a great deal of time, surprisingly since Christian is not on the PPV card. However throughout the match, Striker and Grisham bring up Christian and Swagger’s feud from late last year involving the now-defunct ECW Championship.

Swagger uses his size and height over Christian to gain the early momentum in the early going. Christian, though being the veteran makes a comeback, that sends Swagger on the defensive mode, as the crowd continues to get behind the multi-time World Tag Team Champion.

The two continue exchanging momentum for the next twenty five minutes, when all of a sudden there’s a commotion that begins to take place, as the crowd is on its feet. Within seconds we see that all EIGHT MEMBERS FROM NXT SEASON 1, have surrounded the ring and enters. The ref is thrown out of the ring, as Christian and Swagger are back to back. It’s basically an 8 on 2 challenge.

Within moments Christian and Swagger start swinging, but it’s no use, as it’s a complete attack on the two. The eight men are relentless in the attack, as within minutes it’s looking like last Monday’s Raw, as the ring, wrestlers, and ringside area has been destroyed. The crowd throws trash in the ring as we end the show to silence from the commentators, and boos from the crowd.

*End of Show*

Default Re: WWE 2010: The Return of Excellence

T-3 Hours from the PPV:

With the PPV just a little bit over three hours away from beginning, some news and notes have been discovered:

It is almost a guarantee that the Intercontinental Championship will open the show, as management feels that Kofi and Drew are the best draw to open the show. Management seems to be high on Kofi at the moment, so it would be a big surprise to see him lose the title tonight.

The United States Championship match has been rumored to recieve a decent amount of time, as management is high on both The Miz and R-Truth. While many are impressed with Truth as of late, many have been lobbying for Miz to retain the title.

The Fatal 4 Way match for the Divas' championship is almost a guarantee in terms of a title change, as many feel that Alicia Fox might be the one winning the title. With Alicia getting a lot of good reviews at recent house shows, it will be interesting to see if the title does come her way tonight.

The Unified World Tag Team Championship match loos to take place earlier in the show, as many feel that the ball was dropped in momentum for this match. Expect a possible screwjob finish or something to keep the feud going following tonight.

The World Heavyweight Championship match is heavily being talked about in terms of crowning a new champion, as it's being mentioned that Jack Swagger as champion is not drawing. However that might just be talk, as some are also saying that Swagger as champion is helping the brand out in a big way.

The WWE Championship match will close the show, and will be the one match that many in management will be watching. As far as Cena goes, Cena is at the arena and as of now will be defending the championship.

OOC: The PPV will be posted in recap/results form and will be posted sometime next week. Here is the PPV card:

WWE Championship-Fatal 4 Way:

World Heavyweight Championship-Fatal 4 Way:

WWE Diva's Championship-Fatal 4 Way

Default Re: WWE 2010: The Return of Excellence

Sorry for the lack of updating in this thread. I had the PPV done but lost most of the PPV. So with that said here is the quick results of the PPV.

WWE Fatal 4 Way
Sunday, June 20, 2010
Uniondale, New York
Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum

WWE Championship Match-Five Pack Challenge
John Cena(c) vs. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho

In what turned out to be a surprising night indeed, Raw's Chris Jericho entered the match after for the second time in the show, WWE Champion, John Cena was attacked by the group now known as Nexus. Smackdown GM, Teddy Long, who served as official manager of the WWE for the night, inserted Chris Jericho in the match. Taking advantage of the opportunity, and following a spear from Edge to Orton, and a RKO from Orton to Sheamus, Jericho connected with the CodeBreaker to Edge. Edge kicked out at the last moment, but Jericho attacked Edge's right shoulder, and hit a second CodeBreaker, before pinning Edge and becoming a seven time World Champion!

World Heavyweight Championship:
Jack Swagger(c) vs. CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Big Show

Despite the momentum that Swagger showed throughout the match, the stipulations was too much for the champion to overcome. The closing moments of the match saw Mysterio connect with the splash onto Swagger. However the Straight Edge Society quickly intervened and taunted Mysterio, as Mysterio swung at Luke Gallows. Turning back around though Mysterio was blindsided by Punk, as the leader of the SES, connected with the GTS. A three count followed and CM Punk is now a 4 time World Heavyweight Champion.

WWE United States Championship:

The Miz(c) vs. R-Truth

In a match that many felt stole the show, The Miz showed why he is indeed one of the breakout stars in the WWE at the moment. Despite a strong offense from former champion, R-Truth, Miz caught the challenger slipping and connected with the Skull Crushing Finale, before making the cover and retaining his United States Championship.

WWE Diva's Championship-Fatal 4 Way:
Eve(c) vs. Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox vs. Maryse

In what was a surprising contest, the four beautiful divas despite limited ring time put on a great match that left the Long Island fans speechless. Eve, who has been improving so much as of late, gained some more praise from her fans, by retaining her championship after pinning Maryse after connecting a huge crossbody from off the top rope.

Unified World Tag Team Championships:
The Hart Dynasty w/Natalya (c)
vs. The Usos w/Tamina

In a feud that might just continue following their match, both teams proved that they are ready to bring life back into the tag team division in the WWE. Both teams put on a hard fought performance, that came down to the end when following a rookie mistake from the challengers, the Harts took advantage and connected with the Hart Attack to The Usos. Despite a catfight from Natalya and Tamina, The Hart Dynasty scored the pinfall victory to remain tag team champs.

Intercontinental Championship:
Kofi Kingston(c) vs. Drew McIntrye

In the match that opened the show, we saw that Kofi Kingston was determined not to leave without still being champion. That being said, the challenger, Drew, made sure to give Kofi the challenge of his career. The Scottsman gave Kofi everything he had from the opening bell. Both Smackdown superstars proceeded to tear down the house, as the fans gave both men a standing ovation, following Kofi's exciting win with Trouble in Paradise.

Other Notes:

It was announced during the show, that the next PPV will be entitled Backlash, and it will be held in three weeks time on July 11th, from Chicago.

Also it was noted that John Cena will be out of action for an unknown amount of time, following the attack from the Nexus faction.

Finally it was announced from Smackdown General Manager, Teddy Long, that a NEW Raw General Manager will be announced on tomorrow's Monday Night Raw telecast in this BTB.
