Default WWE ~ The Future Today

NOTE: I would like to point out that I will not be writing shows in full. I am booking the shows here, so I will describe what happened on the show, but I won't be doing word-for-word promos or matches. Why? Mainly because life is busy these days. I really wanna get a successful BTB going but time never seems to be on my side to write shows that are 25 pages long, or whatever. I'm putting this here so you've all been warned and if you do not feel like reading what will essentially be recapped everything, stop reading now.

NOTE: Since I'm doing RAW, SmackDown! and NXT, I'll probably post a weeks worth of shows in succession. Maybe all three on the same day, if not, all three within a couple of days. Then leave time for reviews etc, before posting another show.

Default Re: WWE ~ The Future Today

WWE RAW
July 19th, 2010
Live from Portland, Oregon

*The show starts with The Nexus group in the ring. Wade Barrett shows a video recap of what happened last night at the Money In The Bank PPV; The Nexus brutally attacked John Cena, who was stretchered off and is out injured indefinitely. Barrett says that until the Nexus start getting what they deserve, Cena will only be one of many injured superstars to come. Barrett says the first thing he wants is to be able to use his title shot at a PPV any time he wants, because he won NXT fair and square and he is sick of having his reward taken off him.

Michael Cole interrupts Wade Barrett with an email off the anonymous General Manager of RAW. The email states that Wade Barrett will be given his title shot at any Pay Per View he chooses, but he will not be able to use it at SummerSlam because the General Manager has already arranged an opponent for Barrett at SummerSlam.

This is a cue for Triple H to make his return as he comes out to the stage with a sledgehammer in hand. Behind Triple H are six RAW superstars; Randy Orton, Mark Henry, John Morrison, Mr MITB Evan Bourne, Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella. The seven WWE superstars invade the ring and brawl with The Nexus, and end up clearing house as The Nexus run away through the crowd. The GM (through Michael Cole) then announces that Triple H will take on Wade Barrett in a No Disqualification Match at SummerSlam - and if any WWE superstar or member of The Nexus gets involved, they will be immediately terminated of their contract!

*COMMERCIAL*

(1) Melina defeats Diva's Champion Alicia Fox in a non-title match
Melina makes her long-awaited return against the Diva's Champion and beats her in this non-title match after hitting Extreme Makeover. The commentators suggest that Melina get a title shot after beating the champion in a non-title match.

*Backstage segment with United States Champion The Miz and Evan Bourne. The Miz points out how he was inches away from winning the MITB yesterday and Bourne got lucky. Miz goes on to say he's the greatest US Champion of all-time and could beat anyone on the RAW roster, including Bourne for that MITB contract. Bourne said he isn't stupid; he isn't gonna put his contract on the line, only for Miz to cheat and win. Bourne then says that there's one guy who Bourne thinks Miz can't beat and he's standing right behind him. Bourne leaves, and Miz slowly turns around to see Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson tells Miz that they have a match tonight and the US title is on the line. Jackson leaves and Miz looks scared.

*COMMERCIAL*

(2) The Uso Brothers w/Tamina defeat International Connection
Kozlov & Marella's second tag match together doesn't go well, as The Uso's manage to get a win over them. Jimmy hit the splash on Santino for the win.

*After the match, The Uso Brothers and Tamina say that even though they lost at the PPV, they are still the most dominant tag team in the WWE and should get another title match. They challenge The Hart Dynasty to another title match next week.

*COMMERCIAL*

*Triple H is backstage with none other - than The Viper, Randy Orton! Triple H points out he and Orton haven't gotten along in years but he knows that Orton hates The Nexus as much as he does and he knows he can trust Orton until the end to have his back. Triple H then says he has a match against Edge tonight and he can almost guarantee the Nexus will make an appearance but Orton assures him that if the Nexus make an appearance, so will he and the rest of the WWE fighters.

*Cut to the ring where Sheamus makes his way out with the WWE Championship draped across his shoulder. Sheamus says that the Nexus have not only helped him win the WWE Title, they've now taken out his biggest enemy, John Cena. Sheamus says maybe The Nexus ain't so bad after all! Sheamus then says that SummerSlam is coming up and it's one of the biggest Pay Per Views of the year. He says he needs to know who his opponent is going to be so he can mentally prepare himself for the match.

So, he asks the Anonymous GM to tell him who it is. We wait for about ten seconds, and then, Cole has an email. Cole reads that at SummerSlam, Sheamus will take on one of three men; either Chris Jericho, Edge or Randy Orton. The three will do battle next week in a triple threat to decide who he will challenge. As for tonight, Sheamus has a match with an old rival - and that match starts right now. Goldust makes his way out for the match.

(3) Sheamus defeats Goldust in a non-title match
The Celtic Warrior wins his match with ease, barely breaking a sweat as he destroys the Bizzare Superstar. After a bicycle kick, he gets the pin.

*COMMERCIAL*

(4) Ezekiel Jackson defeats The Miz via Countout; Miz retains the US title.
Jackson looked well on his way to victory until Miz decided he's had enough and leaves the ring. He goes backstage and gets counted out, giving Jackson the win, but not the championship.

*Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler recap the night's events, reminding us that next week, it'll be Chris Jericho v Edge v Randy Orton to decide who will challenge Sheamus at SummerSlam. They then remind us that at SummerSlam, Triple H will take on Wade Barrett in a no disqualification match, and anyone who interrupts the match, Nexus or WWE star, will immediately be terminated of their contract. Cole then plugs our main event, Triple H v Edge, which is coming up next!

(5) Triple H defeats Edge
In a back and forth 15 minute match, Triple H puts away the Rated R Superstar with a Pedigree.

*After the match, The Nexus come through the crowd but as promised the WWE cavalry arrive, lead by Orton. The Nexus decide not to engage in battle and stay within the crowd, as Triple H climbs the turnbuckle to celebrate his victory to end the show.

Quick Results
-Triple H defeated Edge
-Ezekiel Jackson defeated US Champion The Miz via Countout
-WWE Champion Sheamus defeated Goldust in a non-title match
-The Uso Brothers w/Tamina defeated The International Connection
-Melina defeated Divas Champion Alicia Fox in a non-title match

Nice job on releasing Bellas.

Why did you release Lucky & Alex? They are 2 of the best NXT rookies! Is Zeke a face?

Lucky Cannon & Alex Riley are, in my opinion, two of the weaker NXT rookies. And yes, Ezekiel Jackson is a face.

NXT Preview
July 20, 2010
From Portland, Oregon

Last week was the third week running with an eliminated, as the NXT Universe said goodbye to the "Varsity Villain" Alex Riley. The remaining five rookies can relax this week, as there will not be an elimination. Instead, they must impress the WWE Pros and the WWE Universe to avoid being eliminated in next week's Elimination.

Rookie ranked #1, Kaval and rookie ranked #2, Michael McGillicutty have been on a hell of a roll. Kaval has won his last two matches and McGillicutty is undefeated. Both of them have a chance to impress by scoring victories over pros this week. Kaval won the challenge last week, meaning he could pick a pro for him to face, and he has picked the Pro of Michael McGillicutty, Kofi Kingston. Can Kaval get a victory over the Intercontinental Champion?

Michael McGillicutty looks to extend his record to 5-0 as he takes on the Percy Watson's pro, MVP. And speaking of Percy Watson, he will also be in action this week as he does battle with fellow rookie, Husky Harris. With both men ranked at #3 and #4, they need to ensure they do not fall into the fifth spot because if they do, they will be the next eliminated rookies.

Finally, #5 rookie Eli Cottonwood will take on his own Pro, John Morrison. Will he be able to win against the Shaman of Sexy? And even if he can, will it be enough to lift him out from the bottom spot that brings with it elimination in a week's time?

Confirmed Matches
Kaval v Kofi Kingston
Michael McGillicutty v MVP
Percy Watson v Husky Harris
Eli Cottonwood v John Morrison

WWE SmackDown!
July 23, 2010
From St Louis, Missouri

*The show opens with Rey Mysterio coming down to the ring. Rey says at Money In The Bank, he once again overcame the odds even though his ankle wasn't 100%. He goes on to thank the crowd for believing in him all this time before he is interrupted by Jack Swagger. Swagger stays on the ramp and says that the only reason Rey is still champ is because he got lucky.

Rey challenges Swagger to come to the ring right now and Rey will prove he can kick his ass anytime, anywhere. Swagger refuses, saying that he doesn't need to waste his energy on Rey since he can just do it when he gets another title shot at SummerSlam. They are then interrupted by Big Show.

Big Show comes out on the stage which makes Jack Swagger uneasy and he walks down the ramp a bit. Big Show tells Swagger he's had his opportunity to retain the World Title, and he blew it. It's time for a new challenger; and Big Show says that if there's anyone who deserves another title shot, it's him.

Teddy Long comes out and says both Show and Swagger could argue they deserve a title shot so Long says tonight, in the main event, Big Show will take on Jack Swagger, and the winner will get a World Title Match at SummerSlam!

*COMMERCIAL*

(1) The Gatecrashers defeat The Dudebusters
The two up-and-coming tag teams of SmackDown! battle it out and it's the Gatecrashers who pull out a big win when Archer pins Croft. Will this put the Gatecrashers in consideration for a title shot anytime soon?

*We cut backstage, where Rey Mysterio wishes Big Show the best of luck tonight, and if he does end up facing him, he knows they'll put on a great match. Suddenly, Chavo Guerrero runs past them, followed by a raging Kane. Chavo shouts "it wasn't me!" as Kane storms towards him. The two end up making it to the ring. Kane chokeslams Chavo Guerrero and Chavo rolls out of the ring. Kane grabs a mic and screams down the mic.

He rants about how he's sick of trying to hunt down The Undertaker's attacker. He knows they are in the locker room somewhere and dares them to come out and show their face! No-one comes out. Kane growls in frustration, and throws the microphone and attempts to leave the ring when the lights flicker. The titantron comes to life and a man in a hood (so you can't see his face) appears. The rest of his body is not in the camera view, so you can't see his size or stature. Just a hood and a shaded face. It's hard to even tell if he's white or black. His voice has been digitally modified.

The mystery man on the screen describes how he ran over The Undertaker with a car and then proceeded to beat him on the head over and over with a steel chair. Then he used a steel pipe and beat down The Undertaker with that. When The Undertaker started bleeding, the mystery attacker describes how he had a rush of adrenaline and continued to beat down The Undertaker until he simply stopped moving. Kane screams down the mic for the attacker to reveal himself, but the attacker just laughs and then the screen flickers and goes black again.

*COMMERCIAL*

(2) Luke Gallows w/CM Punk & Serena defeats Tyler Reks
With Punk injured, Gallows was in action tonight and beat Reks with the Gallows Pole.

*After the match, CM Punk announces at SummerSlam, he will reveal the identity of his masked Straight Edge Society member. Punk says he has worked with this man and fought away all his demons, and there was a time where he thought he could never save him. He says that the mystery member is a face most fans will remember.

*COMMERCIAL*

*Teddy Long announces a four man tournament starting this week to decide a new #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship

(3) Mr MITB Christian defeats Matt Hardy to advance to the tournament finals next week
McIntyre makes his way out during the match, causing a distraction which allows Christian to hit the Killswitch for the win.

*COMMERCIAL*

(4) "Dashing" Cody Rhodes defeats Drew McIntyre to advance to the tournament finals next week
Hardy repays the favour, coming to the ring and attacking - Cody Rhodes! This causes McIntyre to be disqualified!

*Backstage, Dolph Ziggler is with Vickie Guerrero. He's unhappy he wasn't included in the IC Title mini-tournament. Guerrero says Long made the final decision. Ziggler wants none of it and tells her their business relationship is over. From now on, Ziggler only looks out for Ziggler.

*COMMERCIAL*

(5) Big Show defeats Jack Swagger
Show defeats the former World Champion with his own new finisher, the Ankle Lock.

*After the match, Big Show finishes Swagger with a chokeslam. Rey comes out on the stage and the smallest and biggest men in WWE nod to eachother in respect.

WWE RAW
July 26, 2010
Live from Raleigh, North Carolina

*The show opens with Triple H making his way down to the ring. Triple H claps his hands, saying he applauds The Nexus' attempt to make an impact. He respects what their trying to do and remembers when he tried doing the same thing. He then goes on to say that while they have to make an impact, Triple H has to defend the image of the WWE and he can't let groups like The Nexus think they can run the place, and so they have a problem. Triple H says that's fine, because he will deal with the problem at SummerSlam when he beats Wade Barrett.

Barrett comes out on to the stage and tells Triple H that he doesn't understand what he's getting into. Barrett says their match at SummerSlam will be a fight. And if anyone knows how to fight, it's him. He reminds Triple H he's a European Bare Knuckle Fighting Champion. Triple H reminds Barrett he is a 13-time World Champion. Triple H says that Barrett doesn't know what he's getting into. Triple H reminds Barrett that he has fought with countless opponents over the years, and he is no stranger to the No Disqualification Match.

Triple H says he can wait until SummerSlam to finally shut up Wade Barrett but he's wanted a piece of The Nexus since he saw them debut on RAW and so he asks the anonymous General Manager to set up a match between Triple H and any of the Nexus. Michael Cole recieves an email from the GM saying that Wade Barrett can pick any one member of The Nexus to take on Triple H tonight. Triple H asks Barrett which lamb he feels like sacrificing. Barrett picks Skip Sheffield to take on Triple H right after the break!

*Backstage, The Miz is talking with Alicia Fox, when somebody pats him on the shoulder. He turns around to see it's Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson tells Miz that they have unfinished business. Miz says they don't, claiming they had a match last week and they are done. Jackson grabs Miz and pushes him against the wall, and repeats he and Miz have unfinished business and if Miz doesn't give him another US title shot tonight, Jackson will make sure Miz won't make it to SummerSlam. *We cut to Chris Jericho, who is backstage. He says tonight he has a triple threat match with Edge and Randy Orton; where the winner will challenge Sheamus for the WWE Title at SummerSlam. Bourne says he's been an underdog all his life and even though he has one of the most precious things in the WWE in his possession, he's still considered an underdog. He says that's OK though, because he loves proving people wrong. Bourne claims that when he cashes in the Money In The Bank, he will walk out of that arena as a World Champion. Tonight though, he's got a match with Yoshi Tatsu, and he promises victory.

*COMMERCIAL*

(4) Mr MITB Evan Bourne defeats Yoshi Tatsu

*After the match, Ted DiBiase Jr appears on the ramp. He tells Evan Bourne that he will never make it as a World Champion and he should sell that briefcase to someone who would make a great World Champion, like himself. Evan Bourne tells Ted DiBiase that he's high if he thinks Bourne would sell the MITB Briefcase for any kind of money. DiBiase reminds Bourne that he has a policy; he can either buy something off you, or take something off you. Bourne tells DiBiase to just come and try and take the briefcase from him. DiBiase comes down to the ring but Bourne dives out of the ring - taking out the Million Dollar Son! Bourne grabs his briefcase and tells DiBiase that no-one will be taking the briefcase off him, as long as he has a working bone in his body.

*We cut to Randy Orton, who is backstage. He says Jericho sounds confident about winning tonight, and Orton is fine with that. He has no problem bringing Jericho and Edge down to earth with an RKO, and if that's what he has to do to walk out of here tonigh with a title shot, then that's what he will do. Edge walks by and stops. He tells Orton that unlike him and Jericho, he doesn't need an interview to try and convince people or himself he's going to win tonight, because he knows he is. Edge says he is the Ultimate Opportunist, The Rated R Superstar and as of SummerSlam, a 10-time World Champion.

(5) Tamina w/The Uso Brothers defeats Natalya w/The Hart Dynasty
The Uso Brothers and The Hart Dynasty get in a brawl on the outside, and while the referee tries to break it up, Tamina rakes Natalya in the eye and hits her with a DDT. She then hits the big splash from the top for the win.
