A month, usually. It really depends on the patience level of the individual reader, but don't make it so you're rushing because of 'em. Work at your own pace.

I've never written a pay per view for my BTB before so for my current BTB I am trying to put a lot of effort into it to show what I can do and try to establish myself on here. I've read a few of the longer threads on here where the thread starters are very experienced and obviously a lot better than myself for example. But I was just wondering what kind of length people would expect from a decent pay per view? I'm just starting on match 6 of 9 (one of the remaining matches is a Diva's match so will not be significantly long), and including the promo's, I've written 15,000 words so far. I know it's quality over quantity, but I presume the more effort I put into matches and promo's the better the BTB will look? I want to make my BTB as high a quality as can be, and whilst I'm not particularly interested in reviews, I am interested in what kind of length I should be looking at.

what would you guys think of Eric Bischoff and Fusient Media buying WCW in 2001. They were going to before the TV deal fell through. If they had still bought it and shopped it around what would you think of an Hour Long show on Saturday Nights on CBS at the time. Like from 10-11pm.

I was thinking CBS does Strikeforce stuff now and at the time was doing boxing and howard stern on saturdays...maybe pro-wrestling would be a good fit.

I was also thinking of a venue to tape, would Bischoff move the Saturday Night show tapings to Universal Studios like XWF/TNA or would that bee too much like TNA...any other suggestions?

In his book he said he wanted to build an arena in Vegas?

If you wanna do a WCW 2001 project, go for it. Nobody is stopping you. Don't let anyone else decide what project you wanna do because you might not like it. It's your BTB. Do what YOU want.

Isn't that like one of the unwritten rules of the BTB section? Seriously. It seems that gets asked at least 4-5 times a month.

EDIT:

no I was actually asking for suggestions on smaller venues that WCW could run...not if I should do it as a BTB. Sorry it came off that way.

Does it really matter? I mean it's BTB, not real life. While Realism is all fine and dandy, it's the quality of the show that you should be working on, not where you're holding the show. If anything, just make it some shitty place in place in Orlando Studios like where they filmed Saturday Night. It REALLY doesn't matter.

You could always just run with the outdoor set that they used at Universal Studios for (I think it was there), while having the place in Las Vegas being "built" before moving there. Or conversely, you could just start in Las Vegas straight away and say the builders weren't lazy (but how realistic is that? ). I'd be all for another WCW 2001 project since, while I didn't watch at the time, I've taken a real interest in looking back at it.

While the point about focusing on the actual quality of the show is true, I don't think there's anything wrong with asking about small details like venues. Some people, me being one of them, LIKE having those small details down, and there's nothing wrong with that. If people keep responding like that to questions, what is this discussion thread even going to be for? Are we just going to keep rehashing the same topics every few months, like "who's your favorite wrestler to book" or "favorite angle in BTB". Nowadays "do what you want to" has become the default answer for most questions. While I agree that people should take the initiative to decide for themselves, there's nothing wrong with asking for input from other people.

I'm loving writing my first proper show. Just hate it when you know what you want to happen in your head, but it's just not coming down right on screen/paper.

For anyone familiar with ECW circa late 1990's, do you guys know the name of that one wrestler who always messed up his moves, and afterwards the crowd would chant "YOU FUCKED UP, YOU FUCKED UP"? I want to use him, but I keep drawing a blank on the name. I know it was something Smith, but I can't remember the first name.
