~ No spamming
~ No arguing
~ Under any circumstances, NO "WELL EXCUUUUUUUSE ME, PRINCESS!"
~ You can discuss other BTBs here, it's fine. Don't shill your BTB needlessly, however
~ If you have a question regarding "What Should You Do," just go with your gut instinct
~ Do not discuss the Tournament here. There's an official discussion thread for that purpose.

Post away.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Right guys I'm planning a WWE BTB, unsure on whether to continue my 2006 one, a 2005 one or a up-to-date one. Anyways, I'm planning on writing it in recap or a in a 'news form' for lack of a better word, is there another BTB that has it written like this that I could read? Thanks.

Do an up-to-date one :D, for a really good recap you should read DC's chronicle he wrote recaps in the beginning very inspirational :)

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Zidan, Abe Washington would make for a fantastic manager/mouthpiece. He was great on ECW and it's a shame that WWE refuses to use managers in their conventional form nowadays. Whether he manages an intimidating big guy (Think: Zeke) or a young up and comer (Think: Ziggler, though he can talk already), he would do a great job for any heel.

Question: Does anyone else think that the 'Georgia' font is stale as hell these days? I've found it to be quite hard to read in recent times and overly unimaginitive, though I will admit to using it in my previous BTB's. Play is safe, kids - use Verdana.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Anyone done a very successful 1-2 shows a month type of BTB? At the moment, plotting out one, and was planning on looking up on some good ones to see how they build story arcs for each match, promos etc. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Abe Washington would work really well as the mouthpiece for a big, intimidating guy with little to no mic skills, imo. It's worked plenty of times before (well, the main example for me would be Estrada/Umaga, take that how you will), and frankly, Washington's clearly got some skill on the stick, so he'd be ideal as a manager. You could... also use him in... a General Manager position... I suppose... :side:

At the risk of getting the gimmick of "that Tahoma guy" (or as jobber Stoj eloquently put it, "Tahomasexual") around here every time the font discussion comes up, TAHOMA RULEZ!!!!!!!1!1

And plus, who will keep up MrMyKalz' legacy if I cease to use the font? :p Ah well, use what ya want. But I agree with Power, Georgia feels pretty stale to me.

Would be different, anything can work just needs to be executed properly.

Just do as you feel, don't do a gimmick just because we like it etc.

Though if you do want a legit gothic character please bring back Kevin Thorn, always thought he was underused.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

I was intending on bringing back Kevin anyways :p. At one point was gonna have Gangrel as Thorn's manager, but Gangrel is getting on a little and his weight would be an issue.

But as for Hawkins, I thought it would be something different, and was just wondering what people thought.

Go for it (doing something different with Hawkins/anyone) and also use Gangrel to help get it over, I mean he'd not have to wrestle, just be in his corner for a month or so and then have him taken out, violently.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Anyone else fed up of everyone and their mother in BTB changing their Miz's into the real life Miz character? All I've seen from people like DH and Nige recently, who are both more than capable of doing something different with the character, turn Miz into his current day form, complete with the "I'm Awesome!" catchphrase.

Originality please? :(

I can under stand why they would book the Miz that way as people's perceptions are that is who the Miz really is, he's just being himself.

It would be like if I was booking Alex Shelley pre-MCMG, I'd still book him as an arrogant, smart ass, prick because my perception is that's who Alex Shelley is.

But I get what your saying, a little out of the box thinking couldn't hurt.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

If I am not mistaken the 30 day rule is still in-tact even though the mod is absent.

I suggest you take the time to plan ahead, re-think everything and actually come prepared if you wish to start another thread.

Though I don't see the problem with TNA, in fact TNA BTB's are easier then classic ECW ones.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

What you could do is have Gangrel lead the pack with Hawkins and Thorn and then when you feel there is no longer a need for Gangrel, you can just have Thorn and Hawkins take him out after a match and possibly turn face, but still have the Brood characters.

That'd be something I'd be interested in reading.
