re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

yes sir, JT WAS the FBI before the stable had even started! JT once had an infamous spot where he dove over the top rope, only to have his kneepads catch the top rope - sending him crashing headfirst to the ECW arena concrete. The angle from there saw JT suffer from memory loss, leading up to him believing he was indeed a man of Italian descent.

From there, the stable branched out from the joke. Taking the idea of an African American thinking he was Italian and pushing it to the "Extreme". Tommy Rich and Tracey Smothers ended up believing they too were Italian, but no storyline explanation was given (like Smith's brain injury).

Ah cool, i wasn't much of a fan of ECW, I was too young at the time, and only got videos of it over I think... So only seen bits of it, in the past few years.

What do you guys think of banners in threads? What is too much? A couple of people have said i have had maybe too many? How much is too much? I think it just adds to it

re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

I think a show banner at the top, a PPV preview/hype poster somewhere in the middle, and a PPV poster at the end is all that is needed. Some guys do banners that promote matches for later on that show, but I can't do them and probably wouldn't if I could because it's a waste of bandwith. Make the show stand out with the quality of your shows, not the posters on it. It takes away from the writing, imo. However, during a PPV it's slightly a different tune.

So, for me, it's no more then 3-4 posters on a TV Show MAX, and I think that's about the right amount. Having more then maybe 6 and you're probably going overboard.

Yea well that is me... I do match banners for each match on my Raw's. I like the way it looks but maybe it is too much... idk.

re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

I don't mind a banner for each match, to give a visual aid - what annoys me, is when a guy hypes up a match early in the show using a banner, then re-uses the banner later, AGAIN to hype it, then once more for the actual match. Sure, it's what usually happens, when they keep hyping throughout a real televised show, but this is BTB, and it just becomes cluttered.

As for your setup, OML, I like it, it's perfectly fine. You have simple, well-made banners for each match, and a PPV banner in your show and after it. It's maybe not necessary to have that wealth of posters at the top to go through everything that's going to happen, but otherwise, you don't have unnecessary posters when they're not needed, so I think you're good, tbh.

re: BTB Discussion Thread - July/August 2010

Yea the wealth of banners at the top last show was a one time thing... Lee wanted to do that for his show, so i did. But we scrapped it. Thanks a lot though, I am thinking i will keep my usual format!
