Hey all. This is my first BTB and it's about CM Punk.

A five time Heavyweight Champion of the World
A two time Money in the Bank winner
An Intercontinental Champion
A three time Tag Team Champion
A two time Slammy Award winner
The leader of the Straight Edge Society

He is CM Punk. His destiny is changing...

Seeing as this is your first time, and you are going in the "diary" route I suggest that you take a look at other "diary" BTB's.

Not many have sucseeded far, it isn't an easy task to do a BTB solely on one character yet give a rough overview of the entire WWE around him.

I suggest making it more appealing to the eyes not just giant 'in your face' font size, maybe some italics or coloring or graphics to help attract the readers.

All the rest shall come in time and experience.

Best of luck.

I usually do use italics, colors, etc. It's just this way in the introduction. I heard about an Orton thread but I couldn't find it. Anyway, I'll be posting his first match in a few days. It will be starting right after he finished OVW and he will start out on the ECW roster.

ECW House Show

June 24, 2006

Justin Roberts: Introducing first from Chicago, Illinois CM Punk!

CM Punk steps out onto the ramp in front of the fans in the small ECW house show. He walks down the steps and slides into the ring. He hops and twirls his hands in anticipation of his first WWE match.

Justin Roberts: And his opponent from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Stevie Richards!

Richards walks out with a disgusted look on his face. He angrily stomps to the ring and up the steel steps before throwing his hands up in the air with a furious yell.

Three rings from the timekeeper's bell mark the start of the match. The combatants circle each other. Then Punk delivers a swift kick to the mid-section. Richards cringes and grabs him in a DDT hold.

Punk pushes Stevie down and lands a shining wizard. He falls and Punk runs, hits the ropes, and jumps for a crossbody but Richards's knees are up to counter. Stevie gets up, dragging Punk with him. He shouts and delivers a vertical suplex on Punk.

1-2- and a kickout by the brave newcomer!

Stevie rises and stomps on the limp body of Punk. Referee Hebner pulls him away. CM Punk struggles to his feet. The Doctor charges as punk drops, pulling the rope with him. Richards flies into the barricade. Punk runs and hits suicide dive on Richards. The crowd goes wild!

They both reach their feet and exchange blows as the Hebner yells the count. Punks delivers a strong slap across the chest of Richards and rolls him into the ring. Punk slides in and irish whips Stevie into the turnbuckle.

A running high knee connects with Stevie's chin. Punk grabs his head and runs into a bulldog.

1-2- and another kickout!

Punk gets up Richards and delivers a series of Muy Tai kicks and chops. Stevie ducked a strike to the temple and clotheslines Punk. Then Stevie picks up Punk and performs another vertical suplex.

1-2- and Punk kicks out again!

Stevie pulls him up and irish whips Punk into the corner. He attempts a splash but Punk dodges and Stevie eats the top turnbuckle. Punk lifts Stevie up and locks his arms into an underhook. As Punk tries to execute the Pepsi Plunge but Stevie pushes his to the ground. Stevie falls into a pin.

1-2- no! CM Punk is still in the match!

Punk rolls out of the ring and some fans cheer as he lays next to them on the barricade. Richards hops out and kicks CM Punk in the gut. Hebner is almost knocked out when Richards pushes him into the ring during the count.

Punk ducks a big boot and huddles next to the ring apron. Richards charges and Punk hits him with a steel chair he retrieved from under the ring. Steel meets flesh when Stevie takes another chair shot.

Punk drops the chairand rolls Stevie into the ring as Hebner starts to come to. Punk lifts Richards into a fireman's carry and drops him into Go To Sleep.

1-2-3!

Justin Roberts: And the winner CM Punk!

Punk smiles happily in the ring while his new fans shout his name.

His destiny has begun.

I'm not really a fan of "diaries", but I'll give this a shot. Punk's a great wrestler to watch, but you definitely should add more to it than just the wrestling. Maybe some behind the scenes stuff, interviews, etc. This should definitely be interesting though. Tough to entertain readers with, but interesting nonetheless.

Thanks. I'm glad some experienced bookers are helping me out and I hope you grow to like it. Some people have mentioned really good Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes threads that I couldn't find. If someone could post or pm me their links I would be very appreciative. I also plan to do the first few months with the landscape WWE had in 2006. Then I will shake things up a bit. Another post will be up soon.

WWE Newswire
June 29, 2006

Hello WWE Universe. Major news from the WWE Board of Directors just came in. The ECW brand has some new aquisitions. New to the land of extreme is a newcomer CM Punk. And returning is the King of Extreme Jeff Hardy! The trade that sent Jeff Hardy to ECW was impactful to say the least. The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry and Justin Credible are now on the blue brand!

The practically unheard of CM Punk is a self-proclaimed "Straight Edge Superstar". He is disciplined by abstaining from drugs. He has made some success in the indies and in WWE Developmental areas.

SmackDown anounces Rey Mysterio's World's Heavyweight Championship will be put on the line at The Great American Bash against Booker T at Mysterio's request.

There are rumors of managerial changes between the brands. No news at this point. But there is speculation of Shane McMahon's roll in the WWE.

Also, ECW announces a Triple Threat match for Number One Contendership will be held a week after the next ECW. No superstars have been named yet.

And last but certainly not least is the single brand PPV's. They are no more! Vince McMahon announces all PPV's, not just "The Big Four" to be held with Raw, ECW, and SmackDown. Here is the new PPV schedule in which all brands will participate:

The Great American Bash July 23, 2006
SummerSlam August 20, 2006
Unforgiven September 17, 2006
No Mercy October 8, 2006
Cyber Sunday November 5, 2006
Survivor Series November 26, 2006
December to Dismember December 3, 2006
New Year's Revolution January 7, 2007
Royal Rumble January 28, 2007
No Way Out February 18, 2007
WrestleMania 23 April 1, 2007

That has pretty much nothing to do with this thread.

And I plan on doing my thread a little differently than that thread and I want to thank TheSwanton for posting the link.

Ok u started off good, now I just hope we quite possibly get to see backstage interaction in first person narration from Punk to really make this feel like a diary and not a bunch of matches with CM Punk in them. With the Rhodes and Orton diaries, they featured kayfabe entries along with character entries. Also since Punk is starting off fresh in the company I really would like to see your promo writing skills flourish with his character and a slow transition to the top of ECW where Jeff more than likely will dominate for a bit. Anyway good luck man.
