Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

Turbo Feedback

Good to see Shelton opening the show, glad that we got some build-up for the World Title match at The Massacre and Benjamin was decent, although when he said "Trust me homeboi, you're gonna walk in thinkin' ya got a shot" it didn't seem to fit in very well with the tone of everything else he was saying. The dialogue between AJ and Shelton was fine, I think it should have been Styles who made the challenge for a fight at that moment instead of Benjamin and it was a good time for Heyman to announce Daniels vs. Helms at The Massacre, as well as the tag team main event which I'm really looking forward to seeing as I haven't really read the show yet so I don't know what's going to happen.

Decent inteview with Kendrick and London, about time that they got some time on the mic no matter if they're generic and you did a good job, with the parting words from London leaving a good taste in my mouth for this segement and leaving us in suspense. Not surprised that London beat Strong to give them some much-needed momentum going into The Massacre, and Ashley Massaro's debut surprised me, but cool to see that they're re-united and The Hooliganz get a valet. Loved the Daniels segment to build up his match with Helms and the tag team match, I think it should have ended with him saying "And that's the gospel" though.

I liked the Battle Royal, I think either Lethal or Sydal should have won this match but if Doane won this due to a push being on the horizon for him, then I'm pleased with this result as I'm a big fan of Kenny. More build-up for Daniels/Helms can only be good, and Helms was solid like he has been throughout this thread so far but when he said "Darkness? Really Daniels? Really?" it sounded a bit like Miz. Lethal/Sydal being announced for The Massacre is awesome news, they should have a brilliant match.

The main event certainly delivered by the looks of it, and you made the right call with the ending of it, making sure that opponents for The Massacre didn't pin one or the other or at least put them out for the count in this case. Great way to end the show with Benjamin standing tall and although some would say that this means AJ will win on Sunday, I think it could go either way and that goes for just about all of the matches on the card.

Overall, very good go-home show, the best show so far in this thread IMO. I honestly cannot wait for The Massacre, it should be awesome and I have no idea who the winners will be, perhaps apart from the Masked Menaces/Most Wanted match which Cade and Harris really should win. Great banners btw as always for the PPV, and keep up the good work with this thread. P.S: Will The Massacre be in full?

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

Thanks for the feedback guys. I greatly appreciate it. Just a little information on the pay-per-view. Despite being ridiculously busy, and with on and off internet, I've started writing, and it's going along good. The Massacre WILL be in absolute 200 word per minute full or so I hope. I should have the final news and notes before the pay-per-view, as well the prediction card up tomorrow. After that, I'll slowly put up previews of each match before I finally post the pay-per-view. I don't know what I'll do for a prize yet, but I'm sure it'll either be credits or some sort of gfx work.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

Turbo Feedback

Nice start to the show, as always, with a little recap of last week and some big time hype for The Massacre, which has me very excited.

Shelton to start the show off? Probably the best move since he looks like your big star, and headed into his match at The Massacre for the title, having him open the show is probably needed. I quite liked the way you’ve kind of given Benjamin some real character to tie in around ‘The Gold Standard’ gimmick, giving him some good talk on how he’ll raise things to a whole new standard. Honestly, I wasn’t sure at first in this thread with Shelton being what looked like your major heel, but the way you have written him has been very, very good, and you’ve really given me a reason to care about him by using his gimmick well. This whole talk of how he’s on a different level is great. Not so sure on the cheap heat at the start with the people sitting on their lazy asses at home line, because it just didn’t feel like it was necessary, even if Shelton was looking for heat, but a good start with the new standard talk, along with the flashback of sorts by reminding us of the first Turbo where Benjamin said he should just be awarded the title. AJ Styles interrupting now is going to be interesting, because I want to see if you can write him as well as you have Benjamin. Have to say, I liked Benjamin instantly coming out with his anger at Styles, as it gave Styles something to talk about right off the bat, responding to Benjamin well. I also liked how Styles responded to what Benjamin said earlier in his promo, and even when talking about himself, AJ showed some nice glimpses of personality by saying he’s actually won a world title. The writing Styles off stuff before it maybe wasn’t as good, but it’s good to see a bit of an edge to AJ’s bland character, because otherwise he’s, well, bland. The reminder of the fact that he pinned Benji was nice too, and the tease at a brawl was good before Paul Heyman interrupted. Heyman’s announcements were good, with the expected Helms/Daniels clash and the tag match for tonight both something to look forward to. Pretty good opening to the show here, giving some more hype to your final of the title tournament, and also giving the Helms/Daniels match a bit of hype, even if not directly involved with this promo.

Two more guys who maybe lack personality (well, Kendrick does in this form at least) here with The Hooliganz, but again, I thought you did a pretty good job. It’s pretty simple to just have them respond to how they’re going to overcome Generation Next and that they’ve cheated to win every time they’ve done so, but it works just fine. The start to the second bit of the promo about the singles match was a little bit confusing in the way it was worded, but the tricks stuff is intriguing. Not sure what it could mean, so I guess I’ll just have to wait to find out.

Guess we didn’t have to wait long for the trick to be revealed. Wouldn’t have minded this waiting until The Massacre to come into effect, although if you’re wanting to give Generation Next the victory at The Massacre, I guess it’s appropriate for it to happen now. Not too sure how I feel about Ashley hooking back up with The Hooliganz, as she’s pretty shit in general at most things to do with pro wrestling, though I guess if you use her to even up the numbers it works. With Sydal not allowed to interfere at The Massacre, I’m not sure if you’ll use her in the finish, because it would seem a bit heelish from The Hooliganz, but I guess we’ll wait and see. Nice way to give The Hooliganz a win here though, using Generation Next’s own type of tricks against them.

Nice little promo from Daniels, who is another one of those guys who I think you’ve written really well. The whole darkness thing was clever and well done, and the use of Helms attacking Daniels during their feud shown in this promo keeps us thinking about what this feud is all about. Only a small promo, but certainly a good one.

The Massacre should be a great show. Psyched to see it will be in full too since your roster certainly has a lot of in-ring talent.

Pretty nice little promo here. Another two guys who I think you’ve worked well with their gimmick, using the name Most Wanted through their promos really well. Not too high on you calling the crowd the “Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem universe”, as that sound much to WWE-like, but apart from that this promo was fine. A match at The Massacre for Most Wanted against The Masked Menaces (nice team name for them, btw) should be good, as it gives both teams a chance to feature on Pay-Per-View.

Surprised you had Lethal and Sydal in this match since I was certain they would be having a match at The Massacre with each other, rather than being in the battle royal (unless they still are, which is possible, I guess). Sydal using cheap tactics to eliminate Lethal from the match makes sense to further their feud, while I’m happy to see Doane picking up the win, as I feel the guy is infinitely talented, and giving him at least a win before the battle royal is a good sign for him.

Well we head from Daniels, so good to see we’ll be hearing from Helms too. Helms’ promo here was pretty good, from the cheap heat at the start in getting rid of Joy, to then reminding us of what this feud is about with the world title and how they’ve basically eliminated each other from the tournament. Much like the last time Helms spoke, I liked the play on the fallen angel stuff, and the ending too was pretty good.

Generation Next not happy about Ashley was to be expected. As I said earlier, Ashley winning the titles for The Hooliganz when Sydal couldn’t interfere for Generation Next would have been quite heelish, so I’m glad to see she won’t be able to interfere either. Good to see the Sydal/Lethal match announced too, as it should prove to be a pretty good little match at The Massacre.

Nice hype for the world title match and The Massacre here by both the video and the announcers. The card looks kind of small, but still good, and should certainly be one to look forward to, especially with it written in full.

Nice to see a fiery start to this match with some heated rivalries in it. Pretty nice, basic main event here, with Shelton getting a win over Styles, although only thanks to Helms, which gives us some build for The Massacre, with nothing still really separating Styles and Benjamin. Pretty good way to finish the show.

As Shocker said, after reading this show, I really feel as if this was your best show to date. Basically everything I thought that was needed for the go home show was here, with some hype for all of your matches, and promos for all of your major matches, meaning everything did its job on the go home show. It’s also good to see that it looks like you’re becoming more and more comfortable with your characters, as to me it makes it look like you’re enjoying writing this thread. I’m now really looking forward to The Massacre, especially with it being in full. I’m sure it’ll be a great show.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

Tuesday Night Turbo

The opening video recap was good for people like me who has yet to catch up on the show as a whole. The commentators running down the storylines and explaining it all to everyone but at this point, it seems like you are focusing on your 3 main storylines thus far, which I don't think is a good thing to do. Correct me if I am wrong.

The opening promo was good and led up to something well. I felt it started to drag on a little towards the end of it, but all in all, the promo was good and I love the fact that you are pushing Shelton. Despite having the charisma of a freaking rock, he is a good competitor and the match at the Massacre should be a fun one to read and write. The other match announced with Helms and Daniels is another one that I am excited about, I am a big fan of these two and I feel that they should be able to put on a good match.

The promo from the Hooliganz was done well, although it set the storyline up, I am not sure if it really went well, plus the fact that it went straight on to the match really didn't sit well with me, but all in all, it went well.

Interesting match and I see the promo set this match up nicely, all in all, it was your standard match and I am glad London got the win, plus with Massaro joining in with the Hooliganz, it should work well with the entire thing.

Dark characters are seriously for the win man and seems as if you protray his character well. I really like it.

Awesome video package, it works well in all and basically is something that sets up The Massacre well and hopefully I get more of this, it seems like you have a thing for being able to play dark characters and dark times really well.

Not sure what I think about the match being bascially something to fill in the blanks and I can definently see the Most Wanted bringing home the win at the Massacre but either way, I really like the character of Lance Cade and makes me want to see what does happen, although I am quite sure that Most Wanted will get the win.

This match was not what I expected. It made it seem like yes, you want to push Sydal and Doane, but the other two seemingly got nothing from this match. I hope you do something more with the other two, but as it is, it seems as if they were basically just the jobbers in this match. Williams more than lethal. Now I may be wrong, but build them more plz.

I am wondering, with this promo as basically build up for the Daniels and Helms match, was it really needed, yes it worked well for the go home show, but I would have rathered seen Helms address his match for tonight more than anything.

I don't know about you putting Sydal and Lethal in a match, yes it works well, but maybe with the way Doane has managed to get the win, I would of loved to see Doane and Sydal, but due to Heels vs. Heels, I like the way you did it all the same. But all the same, you have two matches announced on this show alone, which I don't like seeing on a go home show.

Another good massacre promo, video packages seem to be one of your strong suits.

Perfect result and good match to finish off the show. Hopefully we see Shelton come out on top at the Massacre, hey, I can hope.

Anyway man, as this is the first time I have read your shows, I might have missed something in my questions of your booking but all the same, I wish you the best of luck with the Massacre and I hope that you manage to bring home something great in the end of it. Good Luck Man

I need a new signature.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

Turbo Feedback
I like Shelton opening the show, talking about the "Gold Standard Era" and hyping Massacre, AJ Styles interupting was always going to happen, nothing wrong with it or anything, it was just expected, and looking forward to tag team match tonight.

Hooliganz having an interview was good even more hype for Massacre, cant wait for the PPV.

Good summary for the first match, Paul London gaining momentum goin into the Massacre, Ashley as the hooded figure I didnt expect though, so I'll just have to see where this goes. Every match in Massacre is well built, really looking forward to it.

g2g now Crazian but I'll review the rest later.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

UWM Newswire

Many UWM fans have been wondering where co-owner, Tod Gordon, has been after appearing in the first two Tuesday Night Turbo shows. Speculations are that Gordon has been under the weather, and has given the reigns of the company to Heyman, while he works behind the scenes. Gordon prefers to not be an onscreen figure. While Tod Gordon and Paul Heyman are equal partners, rumor is that Heyman has taken control of the majority of the company. A quote from Gordon says he "doesn't mind", but may take an important onscreen screen later on. Many enjoyed his announce table role on the debut show, and there is a possibility of a return.

The creative department, as well as Paul Heyman and Tod Gordon are said to have mixed desicions regarding crowning the first ever UWM World Heavyweight Champion. With the organization already being heavily built around the athletic Shelton Benjamin, there is word that AJ Styles is also a credible champion. The fans seem to always cheer heavily for the "Phenomenal One", and that of course is swaying the decision. The decision may end up coming last second.

The "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels versus Gregory Helms has been billed for The Massacre, and the two have said to have been glad to be working with each other, as they think it's the most entertaining storylines in UWM. Daniels and Helms both believe that they'll put on a five star match at The Massacre, and are hoping creative doesn't squash the feud just yet. Although both men want to be in the world title picture, they know it's not their time. Believe it or not, creative has been more fond of Christopher Daniels, which could be a factor in the decision at The Massacre.

The addition of Ashley Massaro to The Hooliganz is said to be "shaky decision". Paul Heyman felt that there wasn't enough female presence on the show, and that The Hooliganz haven't been getting over with the fans, as much as they should be. Ashley was called up last week, and gladly accepted the job. She is happy with the "light schedule". Generation Next, on the other hand, have been very impressive, and are likely to retain this Sunday at The Massacre. Paul Heyman, however, feels Generation Next is best suited split apart, as Austin Aries, Roderick Strong and even Matt Sydal have the components to be world champion.

Many names have been thrown in the hat for the UWM Open Invitational Battle Royal. Ken Doane has the first five minutes off of the match, but he will most likely not win the match. Tons of names have been contacted including Bobby Lashley, Booker T, Brent Albright, Justin Credible, Juventud, Lance Storm, Psicosis, Scott Steiner, Super Crazy, Tyson Tomko, and The Basham Brothers. Many wrestlers will be using this battle royal as their "tryout" match. Jamie Noble, Sean Waltman and Teddy Hart are expected to be making their debuts in this match as well. A few legends of wrestling have been contacted, but none have really shown interest. Finally, it is believed that a current roster member will win the battle royal.

Two final matches have been added to the pay-per-view card, as Most Wanted takes on the Masked Menaces, and Jay Lethal takes on Matt Sydal. Most Wanted are expected to win, but a rumor has been going around that Most Wanted might lose due to the debut of new tag team, The Naturals. Lethal versus Sydal is said to be a toss up, as creative doesn't know which wrestler to promote. Sydal usually gets heavy airtime due to his stable, Generation Next, so chances are Lethal wins the match.

Finally, Tuesday Night Turbo received a 1.4 rating last week, which is 0.6 higher than last week's show. With no other sports programs in the way, TNT did fairly well in beating out TNA's iMPACT! by 0.2 this week. With TNT only be a one hour show, however, it is tough to actually compete. Things do look to be going up though, as the promised change in format begins at The Massacre, and carries on afterwards.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

UWM World Heavyweight Championship Match
AJ Styles vs. Shelton Benjamin
Just a random guess, a gut feeling really, maybe these two will have another encounter at the next PPV, heck a Ladder match would be down right epic.

UWM World Tag Team Championship Match
Generation Next (c) [Austin Aries & Roderick Strong] vs. The Hooliganz [Brian Kendrick & Paul London]
I see a heel victory here, some sort of screwy finish, a distraction of the referee or something.

UWM Open Invitational Battle Royal
Winner - ?
I have no idea but I hope you take this oppertunity to debut someone into this thread, someone that will help it out with star power wise. Maybe Kennedy.

Singles Match
Christopher Daniels vs. Gregory Helms
Please.

Singles Match
Jay Lethal vs. Matt Sydal
This one will probably highlight the show and open it with a bang, with lots of back and forth high energy CW action

Tag Team Match
Masked Menaces [Delirious & Shark Boy] vs. Most Wanted [Chris Harris & Lance Cade]
At least, that's how I would do it.

Bonus

1. Predict the match order.
Lethal/Sydal
Tag match
Battle Royal
Helms/Daniels
Tag Titles
World Title

2. Which match will open the show?
What's the point in asking this when you just asked us to order them?

Anywho, as I just said... Lethal/Sydal

3. Which match will close the show?
What's the poitn in asking this, it's three questions that I answered with the first one... nontheless. THe World TItle match

4. Who will have the most eliminations in the battle royal?
The person who wins it

5. Predict the amount of debuting/new wrestlers.
ONe, the person who wins the Battle Royal

6. How many matches will have interferences? Which ones?
The Tag Titles one

Ill review the event seeing as I owe you for the Rumble. Looks to be great.

Seems a bit short, only six matches... PPV's are meant to be three / four hours, six matches are usually the ammount of a normal weekly show... I am sure you could have added another one somewhere. Though it's not a big deal.

Heres hoping it's up soon.

6. UWM World Heavyweight Championship Match
AJ Styles
vs. Shelton Benjamin

Benjamin had the last laugh on Turbo, so I think AJ will win.

Generation Next (c) [Austin Aries & Roderick Strong] vs. The Hooliganz [Brian Kendrick & Paul London]

Can't see them dropping the titles already.

3. UWM Open Invitational Battle Royal

Hmm... I'm gonna say Teddy Hart.

5. Singles Match
Christopher Daniels vs. Gregory Helms

I think Helms will win the next match they have to finish their feud.

1. Singles Match
Jay Lethal vs. Matt Sydal
Lethal needs the win to look like more of a threat, IMO.

They need the win after losing to The Naturals.

Re: Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem

6) UWM World Heavyweight Championship Match
AJ Styles vs. Shelton Benjamin
I've been thinking Shelton for the longest of times, but I can't help but feel the first ever title match needs a clean finish, and for this to happen and the feud to continue, I'm going AJ.

4) UWM World Tag Team Championship Match
Generation Next (c) [Austin Aries & Roderick Strong] vs. The Hooliganz [Brian Kendrick & Paul London]
That's your money team right there.

5) UWM Open Invitational Battle Royal
Winner - Charlie Haas
Made it to the semis of the world title tourney, so he seems to be someone you're high on.

3) Singles Match
Christopher Daniels vs. Gregory Helms
Probably via DQ.

1) Singles Match
Jay Lethal vs. Matt Sydal
Generation Next is THE dominant stable right now.

2) Tag Team Match
Masked Menaces [Delirious & Shark Boy] vs. Most Wanted [Chris Harris & Lance Cade]
The likely result, considering The Masked Menaces look like your jobber team.

Bonus

1. Predict the match order. Done.

2. Which match will open the show? Lethal vs. Sydal.

3. Which match will close the show? Styles vs. Benjamin.

4. Who will have the most eliminations in the battle royal? A debuting Brent Albright.

5. Predict the amount of debuting/new wrestlers. Three.

6. How many matches will have interferences? Which ones? None.

Looking forward to the show, man.
