Turbo Feedback

Nice way to kick off the show, giving us a reminder of the happenings of last week, as well as a little preview of what to expect this week, which while at this stage is just two matches, looks good thus far.

Promo time for Generation Next to open the show? Exactly what I wanted to see to allow tem to cement themselves as the top heel faction in UWM. I quite liked the premise behind the opening promo, with Genereation Next really trying to introduce just who they are to the audience, talking themselves up as being the best. I would have maybe liked some substance to their claims, rather than just ďWeíve beaten the bestĒ, with maybe a list of people that theyíve beaten that are names in pro wrestling, or maybe just places where theyíve won, like Japan or England. Calling the crowd dumb, rather than stupid seemed a little weak, but I loved Aries showing off the tag belt to show just who they are. The transition into talking about The Hooliganz was a little weak. I would have liked to have seen Aries say something more along the lines of ďGordon thought he had found someone to beat us when he found The HooliganzĒ, or something like that to allow the promo to ebb and flow a little bit better. Strong too, should have referred to The Hooliganz saying they have the heart to win, as him just randomly starting off about heart took awhile to click for me until I remembered The Hooliganz had promo time last week. Still, aside from that, I thought this was pretty good until The Hooliganz interrupted. London and Kendrick are obviously very limited in terms of ability on the mic in their current role as weíve seen before, although with that said, I thought they were pretty good. Could have maybe done with a little more length and attitude from them to Generation Next, really getting into them, but I thought it was still pretty good. The announcement of the title match for The Massacre wasnít surprising, though itís definitely a good one. Should be a good match at the Pay-Per-View. Really good to see you continuing to put some time into the tag division. A few more teams may be needed, but at least at this stage youíre doing a good job with these guy, opening up with a pretty good promo.

Americaís Most Wanted with Lance Cade playing the role of James Storm, eh? Canít say I mind since I always loved AMW, and I think Cade is a great tag worker. I wouldnít have minded you bringing in The Redneck Wrecking Crew and pairing Harris with someone different, actually, but this pairing is still a good one. Generation Next getting the win was fine to establish them as the best team going at the moment, but itís good to see another team popping up in the division, because as time goes by youíre going to need depth.

Okay little promo from Haas here. No real personality shining through, but the Haas of pain line was pretty nice, along with the enemies line at the end. Obviously Iíd like a little more personality to be developed for Haas, even if it is just that of an intense badass, because your roster isnít stacked with personality at the moment. The wrestling talent is there; the character and ability on the mic is whatís lacking for a lot of the guys.

Have to say, I liked the little Daniels promo. Shows what heís all about, and also gives a message to Gregory Helms. Pretty smooth promo.

So Benjamin and AJ are on opposite sides of the brackets? I thought because they both competed last week they would face in the semifinals. Obviously not. Well, this seems to obviously be the final youíre shooting for, which I canít say is a problem since it should be a pretty good match. I quite liked the attitude from Benjamin here, calling himself the true phenomenal one, while the closing line worked well in the context of the promo too. Hopefully these two develop more heat in weeks to come, because they seem destined to meet in the final.

Haas was the obvious choice for this one since he had a promo earlier and got some time on screen last week, but Iím glad to see Kenny isnít merely a jobber and that he did get some offence in against Charlie. The guy is talented, so I think he could be of good use to you. Still, good to see Haas getting pushed too.

Paul Heymanís promo seemed to start a little suddenly. I maybe would have instead liked to have seen Leticia go interview Heyman, having heard about some big announcement that Heyman had, so we then got this. Nice little batch of announcements here, with a TWGTT reunion sure to be pretty great, along with another team teaming up for the first time, which is good to see, while The Hooliganz get to gain some momentum, much like Generation Next did earlier. I donít really care about the last announcement though. Already a lot to look forward to next week.

Helms comes out to his Hurricane music as a heel? Iím not sure if Iím meant to read anything into that, but it seems, well, wrong. This match never seemed like going down normally, as the feud looked set to kick off last weke, and Iím glad to see we got something different here. Helms, who already seems angry, losing like this, then jumping Daniels afterwards has this set up for an aggressive feud. I would have maybe liked Helms to have attacked Daniels a bit more aggressively before the match to really give him a reason to dominate the whole match, but still, good to see a feud kicking off between these two.

Another pretty nice show here. The show maybe seemed a little short, with another promo or two perhaps helping length, but still, I thought you did a good job with what you did here by getting a few announcements for next week out, continuing some feuds on, and getting all of the faces on screen that you needed to. Itís good to see the shows coming quickly too, as hopefully thatís an indication youíre enjoying writing them (or that you have no life, whatever ). Good stuff.

Turbo Feedback

Good to see Generation Next opening the show giving the tag team division some sufficient spotlight and I'm glad that it's clear now that Generation Next are heels, even Sydal who I agree shouldn't talk so at least interfering in the match last week got him some heat, so a feud with London and Kendrick should be pretty good. I'm glad Hooliganz didn't talk much as they never did anyways as a team but I'm looking forward to the match for the titles at The Massacre and hopefully the tag team division can continue to go from strength-to-strength with more teams gradually entering the mix. Strong start to the show. Not surprised to see Aries and Strong win against Cade and Harris who are a pretty random pairing but at least it adds a bit of depth to the division and hopefully you can make them into a solidified tag team sooner or later.

Short but sweet interview with Haas, I'm glad that the subject of a potential match with Shelton was brought up and I can't blame you for Charlie not having much personality, he doesn't anyway. The Daniels promo was great, a very dark atmosphere about it which is cool and further hype for the match with Gregory Helms later on can only be good, especially after the hype you gave it last week in the interview segment. The backstage segment with AJ and Lethal was OK, again a little generic but not entirely your fault, and I think you wrote Shelton reasonably well, which definitely improved the segment. I still think it'll be Benjamin and AJ in the final at The Massacre.

Not too surprised that Haas beat Doane in the Tournament although I am a fan of Kenny and I hope you do some good things with him in this thread. The tag team match next week should be great and it pretty much confirms for me that Daniels is winning against Helms later on so we get WGTT against Daniels and AJ, but at the same time I have a small feeling I could be wrong. Delirious and Shark Boy? Haha, very intruiging pairing but there's no way they're beating The Hooliganz next week. PPV staying in the Turbo Zone, that's alright, I wouldn't expect you to leave it anyway.

Main event looked alright between Daniels and Helms, Fallen Angel won which doesn't surprise me so we can see Daniels and AJ team up next week, but the post-match attack from Helms pretty much confirms a feud between the two which I can't wait to see and I wasn't expecting Daniels to win the Tournament before anything happened between him and Helms. Hopefully we get to see a match between them at The Massacre.

Overall:
Another good show, a bit short but maybe that's because we don't know what the match times are, if you gave us some kind of indication as to how long the matches are it might be helpful. Also, I'm glad that you changed the lay-out of the show as well which definitely makes it easier to read so well done, keep up the good work, and I'm already excited for The Massacre!

So, first of all I would like to stay that i am probally not going to be able to write alot of information like the other reviewers but i hope to add some substance.

I liked that Gneration Next was your opening promo. It is good that you are pushing them. I really think that they might need to bring in someone to be their enforcer/bodyguard. I beleive they will have the titles for many, many months. A possible gimmick you could throw at the fans is have Gen Next act as a NWO type tag team and make Sydal and Aries wrestle Hooliganz and have Strong interfere as technically the belts cannot be stripped off of Gen Next.

Putting over Gen Next was good booking. Nothing much here but a way to build Gen Next as your top act.

Nice little promo by Haas. I like him as being the heel that is mad because he isnt credited enough for his wresling ability. I think he might get the win in the tag and then Shelton just gets pissed and T-bones the crap out of him.

Dainels promo was good. Nice way to get over his gimmick. I like Shane and Dainels as a fued. Bring back the Prophecy

Nice way to get Shelton over as a cocky heel. He looks to be the future champion

Of course, Haas was going over but i feel that the way u did it was very good. Nice to keep both men strong. Once again, Shelton will outshine Haas in the main event slot but it is worth it.

The announcements are something that i like because it is how Paul would do it back in ECW. I like the tag team match but once u announced it, i knew that Dainels was going over. I like the many different angles you can run from the tag team match. I like that you have hooliganz in a match. I expect some chicanary from Gen Next in that match.

Nice way to keep both me strong. I knew Dainels was going over. I wish AJ had came out and backed Helms off after the vertebreaker. No contact needed but AJ is teaming with Chris next week

That is my review. If you would like to check out my BTB...WCW: In Shane's hands it would be awesome

Just wanted to clear some things up...

bkb - I don't like to name wrestlers from other promotions for hype, but I should have named places. AJ & Benjamin are on opposite sides of the bracket. I worked the matches in a different order, but yah, they're on different sides. Didn't know what music to use for Helms so I used his typical music. Music isn't really a big priority to me, but I'll start making up songs so that it starts making more sense. One hour shows are really short. I might throw in another promo or two next time (since I have to hype the pay-per-view soon), but that's about it. I do enjoy writing these shows AND I do have a life. Since the shows are short, it's much easier. Plus, it's been 2 weeks with 2 shows. That's alright to me. =P

Shocker - The match times thing is a valid point. I might throw that in there from now on. Shows are also one hour long (hence the shortness) from now on since last week was a special two hour debut. And I'm glad it's easier to read now. I wouldn't want to push away readers with the layout.

nate - Thanks for your words of wisdom. =)

I'll have a preview for the next show up within the next few days. That's all folks!

UWM Newswire

Last week's Tuesday Night Turbo received a 1.3 rating, which is 0.2 lower than the debut show. Despite the lower rating, TNT manage to beat out TNA's two hour show. ESPN is happy with the rating, but expects improvement over the next six months before talk of a time extension can happen.

At this point, the final of the UWM World Heavyweight Championship Tournament is expected to be AJ Styles versus Shelton Benjamin. It is expected that AJ Styles picks up some more airtime during the next few weeks to hype up the heat between the two more. Shelton Benjamin is currently slated to win the championship, but there is still talk of throwing the title on someone else.

Christopher Daniels was a little shaken up after the attack to him after the match against Gregory Helms. He says that the Vertebreaker, although looking like an impact move, can be a little dangerous to the neck and back. Word is that Helms is to continue using the move, but with safety as a first concern when doing the move. It is expected that Daniels possibly doesn't make it to the scheduled match on the next TNT.

With the feud between Generation Next and The Hooliganz in full force right now, UWM is looking to strengthen its tag team division for future feuds/storylines. Chris Harris and Lance Cade were packaged together, and are expected to be called Most Wanted from now on. The two will likely stick around the middle of the tag team division, but UWM's creative writer has plans for them later on. Derlious and Shark Boy were also paired together because of their similarities and comedic value. The two aren't expected to make an impact, and will most likely be used to put others over. Shark Boy has said that he wants a light schedule due to the wear and tear on his body since he began wrestling. The possibility of the self-proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team and the Phenomenal Angels making appearances in the tag team title situation is likely over the next year as well. UWM has also been looking at The Naturals (Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens), the Basham Brothers, and the Impact Players (Justin Credible & Lance Storm).

There are HUGE rumors going around right now that Jack Evans and Teddy Hart have been signed. Take it for what is is. A rumor.

------------------------------------

It was a long weekend in Canada so I went on a trip for the weekend, but I'm back so here's some news. A preview should be up within in the next few days.

Tuesday Night Turbo Preview

The quarterfinals are done, and the semi-finalists have been confirmed. The UWM World Heavyweight Championship Tournament has been postponed this week, but the remaining competitors will still be in action, as the self-proclaimed World's Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin, team up to take on their semi-final opponents the Phenomenal Angels, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. All four men get a chance to take a first hand look at their semi-final opposition, and their possible finals opposition as well. Which team will take the win, and gain momentum going into the semi-finals? Will their still be chemistry in each team despite being possible opponents? Which re-united team will succeed?

Last week Gregory Helms brutally attacked Christopher Daniels after their quarterfinal match. Helms was seemingly the better wrestler throughout the match last week, but the Fallen Angel pulled the win out of nowhere. Angry at the loss, Helms attacked and hit a devastating Vertebreaker on Christopher Daniels. Christopher Daniels needed to be stretchered out of the arena, and is possibly facing a back or neck injury. Will Gregory Helms be punished for his actions? Will Christopher Daniels be capable of competing in his scheduled match?

It was announced last week that Generation Next's Austin Aries and Roderick Strong will take on the Hooliganz at The Massacre for the UWM World Tag Team Championship with the stipulation that if Matt Sydal interferes, Generation Next will have to relinquish their titles to the Hooliganz. This week, the Hooliganz look to gain some momentum three weeks before the pay-per-view as they take on the team of Delirious and Shark Boy.

For this and much more, tune into Ultimate Wrestling Mayhem's Tuesday Night Turbo on ESPN from 10-11PM!

Confirmed Matches
Brian Kendrick & Paul London vs. Delirious & Shark Boy
AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels vs. Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin

Turbo Review

Hooliganz/Generation Next segment
I liked the dialogue and mannerisms of Generation Next in this segment. Glad that Sydal didn't get any mic time either, keeping him true to reality.

As for the Hooliganz.. Nice to see them actually getting some mic time, but I don't know if it fit them really. Maybe I'm just a prisoner of the moment, but after seeing the shoot interview they did, I expect laughs and comedy. I can understand why they are serious here, but I hope we get some back and forth comedic banter between the two in the future. Good way to set up the match though and I'm looking forward to seeing this feud progress.

Generation Next/Harris&Cade match
Nice little match to get Generation Next over as a force to be reckoned with on this clean victory. I'm intrigued by the pairing of Harris and Cade, especially since Cade and Murdoch was supposed to be a play on AMW in WWE. I think that is a team that can do some things in the future once they get some experience.

Haas interview
Simple interview. Haas stayed in character and got some nice hype for a possible showdown with Benjamin. Nice to see Doane getting a little respect from him as well. I'm a big fan of Doane.

Daniels Promo
I really enjoyed this one. Good to see a return of the Fallen Angel gimmick and nice to see Daniels getting some promo time even if it is just to build up a simple tournament match and not a real feud or anything. I'm hoping Daniels does some big things, but I doubt he'll make the finals or anything as it seems Shelton is a lock and a heel/heel finals would be eh.

Benjamin/Styles segment
Really enjoyed the dialogue from Shelton here. Hell it's more interesting than anything he said in his 7 year tenure with the WWE. I'm really digging cocky Shelton and looking forward to the seemingly inevitable Benjamin/Styles tournament final.

Haas/Doane match
No surprise here. Looking forward to Haas/AJ as I'm sure it will just add more animosity between Shelton/AJ. Hope Doane recovers from this loss because as I said earlier I'm a Doane mark, but I would probably rather see him as a heel. Maybe have him pick up a few wins as an up-and-comer then get a prima donna attitude.

Heyman announcements
Looking forward to WGTT against AJ and (as I found out later) Daniels. Should be very interesting to see how AJ and Daniels coexist against a more experienced tag team, although Styles and Daniels do have past experience as well. Also Hooliganz/Shark Boy & Delerious should be a fun little match.

Daniels/Helms
Again not really surprised with the outcome. It would actually be nice to see a Super Hero/Fallen Angel type of feud somewhere down the line between these two guys. Daniels/Benjamin sounds solid.

Commentary
I'll be honest I skimmed it for the most part, but it seemed on point.

Overall
I enjoyed the show. Nice presentation and good dialogue all around. The match recaps are fairly short, maybe add in a couple of high spots in the match. As for the overall length.. I actually like it. Like someone said another promo or interview wouldn't hurt it, but it's a good readable length, instead of walls and walls of text. Because it's a short read it's something I intend of keeping up with. I'm looking forward to the next Turbo.

Not a whole lot announced just yet, but the show still looks good right now with the two tag matches you've got announced. I'm perhaps more interested to see who gets mic time on the show for some more character development and exposure though, and fingers crossed we'll see some good stuff from Generation Next.

Looking forward to it, man.

Show looks good Crazian, I'm glad you're letting the tournament go on a little bit longer especially with a great tag team match like WGTT/Phenomenal Angels on the cards. London and Kendrick are bound to go over Delirious and Shark Boy and I'm confident we'll see some more of Generation Next, as well as Gregory Helms so his feud with Daniels can progress one way or another.

I'll definitely check it out once it's up.

The two tag team matches announced will be pretty good, especially the main event one, just because of the excitement of the whole championship tournament situation. Helms/Daniels is a money feud to, so I hope you plan on making it epic.

Sorry for taking so long to get in here, but I'm trying to become active again now.
