Re: Melvisboy's WWE: The Comeback

No pressure, man. Review my shows at your leisure. In the meantime, I'll give you credit for the way I'm formatting of my matches because I'm copying your "only describe the ending of the match in detail".

But enough about that. I've been following this thread but especially Raw. You did a good job of building the PPV and the 8-men tag delivered with the chaos at the end. It might be a one-brand PPV but this goes to show that if the bookers IRL just try, they don't have to make every PPV the tri-branded mess we see today.

On to the festivities.

1. Opening Match: US Title match

2. Match order: 1) US Title: Miz over Carlito 2)Divas Title: Melina over Maryse 3)Noble over Sheamus 4)Tag Titles: DX wins 5)US Title Battle Royale: Masters wins 6) Orton over Kofi in the Cage Match 7) WWE Title: Cena over Swagger

3. Title changes: Just the Tag Titles

4. Jericho will wake the fall in the Tag Match

5. Bourne eliminated last

6. Cage Match will end by pinfall

7. No special appearances

8. Cage Match will be longest match

The scene is an ancient chapel. The pews are all empty... except for one figure, dressed all in white, with a hood over their head, sat in one of the front rows, kneeling. We go closer, and see the stubble on the man’s jaw – the rest of his face isn’t shown. We see a wide view of the chapel again, and the figure stands – we zoom in again as the man slowly pulls his hood off, and the rest of his face becomes visible. It’s the man known as Shawn Michaels.

Michaels, cloaked all in white, leaves the pew, and stands in the aisle. He looks up at the giant stained glass window in front of him – a massive, multi-coloured window. Suddenly, a crack appears in the window, and Michaels’ gaze hits it immediately. Another crack appears, and we go to a spectacular viewpoint behind the cloaked Michaels, showing the stained glass, too. All of a sudden, the window shatters from this viewpoint, and the shards fall in their millions. They fall all over the altar, and Michaels falls to his knees.

The structure of the church begins to wobble, and pieces of brick fall down about the place. The debris misses Michaels, who remains on his knees, arms in front of him, praying. Suddenly, the church’s main stone supports start to crumble, and eventually, the whole building tumbles down in a mess of stone and dust. As the dust clears, the sky above is revealed – it is an eerie blood red, with dark clouds in places. Michaels, clothes still pure white despite the dust, is knelt in a convenient ‘safe zone’ where no rubble lies. In front of him stands a dark figure, wearing a black, round-brimmed hat. The figure removes the hat, and Michaels looks at him – it’s the Undertaker!

Undertaker: Welcome... TO ARMAGEDDON!

We zoom in, going straight through the Undertaker’s maniacal red eye, and landing on the Armageddon logo, carved in a stone background which covers the screen as Tell No One by Fixer plays...

Extensive fireworks launch off across the specially-designed stage, and the crowd roars! The camera sweeps across the cheering masses, all 25,000 of them, before cutting to ringside – Fixer’s ‘Tell No One’ is inevitably playing in the background, barely audible above the screaming crowd. At the announce table sit Michael Cole, and Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler.

Cole: Good evening – we are finally here! We’d like to welcome you to the Pepsi Center in the Mile High City, Denver, Colorado! I’m Michael Cole, along with WWE Hall of Famer Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler, and we’ll be calling the action for you tonight! King... welcome to Armageddon!

King: Thank you, Michael – it was Christmas only two days ago, but I don’t think anybody backstage is in a very festive mood – they’re all out to win their match tonight!

Cole: You’re very right, King. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, we bring you seven action-packed matches, which I don’t doubt you’ve heard a lot about recently – our first match will be coming in just a second.

King: Well, Michael – tonight, there’s four titles on the line, two no disqualification matches, and a Battle Royal! I just can’t wait to get started on this night of thrills and spills!

The bell rings. Justin Roberts is in the centre of the ring to make the announcement:

Roberts: The following is an Over-the-Top-Rope Battle Royal! The only way to be eliminated is by going over the top rope, and both feet hitting the floor! The winner will become No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship!

The Denver crowd roars, eager to get going. The Italian music of Santino Marella starts up, and the crowd boos as the self-proclaimed Italian Stallion arrives on the stage, smiling.

Roberts: Introducing first... from Calabria, Italy, weighing in at 227 pounds... Santino Marella!

Marella points at various people in the crowd, grinning like a madman, and acting like the crowd are chanting his name... they’re really not.

Cole: King, you’re shaking.

King: Sorry, Michael – I’m just so hyped up for this!

Marella takes the steel steps to get into the ring, then waits for his opponents in a far corner of the ring. He takes off his shirt, revealing his blue, Italian-themed singlet.

The crowd boos again, and out comes Chavo Guerrero, smirking, with his arms raised.

Roberts: And, from El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 215 pounds... Chavo Guerrero!

Cole: Well, King, we just saw Santino Marella arrive, and here comes the Mexican Warrior, Chavo Guerrero, who came within inches of fighting for the title itself tonight.

King: Chavo probably thinks he’s the favourite to win this one... it’d be hard to argue with him, Michael.

Chavo walks down the ramp, wearing his usual poncho and bandana, then rolls into the ring. He shoots Marella a glare, and waits in a free corner. The music of Primo Colon starts, and a small cheer goes up for Carlito’s little brother as he makes his way out on to the stage, and heads down the ramp, pointing at both men in the ring, who don’t look fazed.

Roberts: And, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, weighing in at 218 pounds... Primo Colon!

Cole: Primo Colon won in tag team action a few weeks back, and he’ll try and take that confidence forward into this one.

King: Primo has a big wrestling background, Michael, and he’s a tremendous high-flyer. That agility could come in handy in this Battle Royal.

Primo gets in the ring, and takes a position at another free turnbuckle, closer to the ramp. The fast-paced music of Paul London starts, and the crowd cheers for the high-flyer, who comes rushing out, wearing his traditional cotton mask.

Roberts: And, from Austin, Texas, weighing in at 205 pounds... Paul London!

Cole: The energetic and athletic Paul London – well known for his electrifying and high-octane stylings, King.

King: Paul is just one of many lightweights in this one, Michael – we’re in for some high-flying action, I bet.

London sprints down to the ring, and slides under the bottom rope. He doesn’t do his usual backflips from the turnbuckles, as they’re all occupied. The arena turns a bit darker, and the pompous music of Chris Masters starts, prompting heavy boos.

Roberts: And, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 275 pounds... the Masterpiece, Chris Masters!

Cole: Chris Masters is the heaviest man in this Battle Royal by a long, long way, King.

King: Well, that should give him an advantage, Michael, but he’s lost three times recently to Evan Bourne – what kind of mindset is he in?

Masters arrives on the stage, looking particularly grumpy. He storms down the ramp, and gets in the ring, glaring at the four men surrounding him with hate. He turns to the ramp as the music of Evan Bourne starts, and he frowns as the crowd give him a great reception! Bourne charges out, smiling, and is welcomed by massive cheers! Bourne is clearly the fans’ favourite to win this one, and he looks very pleased. Masters doesn’t.

Roberts: And finally... from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds... Evan Bourne!

Cole: Well, the lightest man in this match is also the man who’s on the biggest roll – in recent weeks, Bourne has showcased a terrific arsenal of high-flying and high-impact kick moves as always, not to mention a stunning Roundhouse Kick which has put Chris Masters’ lights out on more than one occasion, King.

King: Evan Bourne has performed admirably in recent weeks, Michael – the only question is, can he step up to finally claim that United States Title shot?

Bourne charges down the ramp, and rolls into the ring. The referee checks all six men are ready to go – London removes his mask, and Chavo takes off his bandana and poncho. The Masterpiece flexes his muscles a little, and Bourne bounces on the balls of his feet – Santino puts an arm on each of the top ropes near him in the corner, and Primo looks between each of his opponents, warily. The referee calls for the bell to start the Battle Royal off... and so Armageddon begins!

Match 1

The bell chimes, and immediately, Masters goes for Bourne – the two are exchanging punches in the centre of the ring, and Paul London takes the initiative, charging at Santino, crushing him against the turnbuckle with a Corner Clothesline. Chavo heads for Primo, and pounds him in the corner with left and right hands. Primo shields himself, but he gets forced down to a seated position, and Chavo starts to go to work with the boot, repeatedly stomping on Primo’s abdomen. In the centre of the ring, Masters grabs Bourne’s arm, and tries to fling him towards the ropes, but Bourne grabs Masters’ wrist, and yanks himself back towards the Masterpiece... before connecting with a huge Leg Lariat to Masters! The crowd cheers... first blood to Bourne!

London kicks Santino in the gut in the corner, and the Italian comically cries out, before pushing London away – the high-flyer moves in again, but he gets met with an elbow by Santino... who then flings London over the top rope- NO! London grabs the top rope, and lands on the apron! The crowd cheers, and Santino notices London isn’t done – he feeds him a right hand or two, but London won’t let go of the rope – so Santino starts attempting to pry London’s fingers from the rope, one by one! London rolls his eyes, and pulls back for a second, before hammering Santino in the gut with his shoulder, sending the Italian reeling away. As Santino turns around, London springboards – and nails a Seated Senton to Santino, who collapses, stunned!

Chris Masters is up – and Bourne rocks him with a Knee Strike! Masters reels back, eyes unfocused for a second, then comes back with a huge right hand to Bourne! Bourne rolls across the ring, pained, and Masters follows him, grabbing him as he rises... and flinging him into the steel ring post through the turnbuckle! The crowd groans with the sickening impact, and Bourne detaches himself in absolute agony – Masters crouches in the centre of the ring, ready to deliver something killer to Bourne... but the Masterpiece gets a Dropkick to the back of the head from Paul London, and he stumbles to the side! Masters looks to London, who is standing in the centre of the ring, looking determined, fists raised. Masters charges at the focused London, who smoothly drops him with a Drop Toe Hold on to the second rope! London looks at Masters in astonishment, and, as the only man (other than Chavo, who’s still pounding Primo in the corner) still standing, he looks out at the crowd, confusion across his face – the whole crowd roars ‘619! 619!’ After a moment’s thought about copyright issues, London heads for the opposite ropes... is San Diego coming to Denver? NO! Masters detaches himself from the ropes, and decapitates London with a brutal Clothesline! London goes down, totally stunned, and the crowd unleashes all sorts of heat on Masters – they clearly wanted to see a bit of Rey-Rey.

Chavo decides Primo’s had enough continuous stomping, and picks him up, trying to force him over the top rope, but Primo grabs the rope, and refuses to go over! Chavo grabs Primo’s legs, and starts trying to force him over, starting a struggle between the two. Bourne is in the corner, resting, and holding his hurt shoulder from where he hit the ring post. Santino is struggling up after over-selling the Senton, and London is floored, with Masters standing over him. Bourne decides he needs to get back in the game, and before Masters can attack London any more, Bourne charges across the ring, and throws himself through the air, looking for a Hurricanrana to Masters... but the Masterpiece saw it coming, and he catches Bourne above his head in Powerbomb position! The crowd boos, and Bourne looks shocked – Masters heads for the ropes, attempting to Powerbomb Bourne over... he gets Bourne over... BUT BOURNE TAKES CONTROL, PULLING OFF THE HURRICANRANA TO PULL MASTERS OVER THE ROPE WITH HIM... AND MASTERS CLATTERS TO THE FLOOR!

Elimination #1: Chris Masters by Evan Bourne at 2:47

The crowd roars, because Chris Masters’ evening is over! Masters looks up in shock at Bourne, who is kneeling on the apron, breathing heavily – he smiles a little, and rolls under the bottom rope, knowing he’s done Masters a treat. Masters puts his head in his hands, disbelieving what’s happened. Santino goes to aid Chavo in his efforts to eliminate Primo, who is spiritedly fighting the Mexican Warrior’s attempted elimination. Santino grabs Primo’s other leg, and the pair try to lift Primo over... but they’re unsuccessful, as Primo battles free of the hold, hitting Chavo with a right hand, sending him reeling back, and then lashing out with his now free right boot, sending Santino away, too! Primo lets out a sigh of relief, and moves away from the ropes – straight into a kick to the gut from Chavo, who hits a quick Suplex... and rolls... Santino takes Paul London to the corner, and starts hitting him with right hands... second Suplex from Chavo... and rolls... London fights his way free of corner with a few kicks, and pushes Santino there himself... and Chavo hits the Three Amigos! Primo looks totally stunned on the mat, and Bourne looks between the two fights, wondering which one to get involved in – he walks towards London and Santino... but the Italian pushes London, and he clatters into Bourne!

Bourne falls, clutching his head as the crowd boos Santino’s cowardice, and London holds the back of his head tenderly, looking down at Bourne with a concerned expression – Santino takes advantage, attempting to whip London to the ropes, but London stands firm, and replies with an Arm Drag to Santino, pulling the Italian to the mat expertly! London holds on to the arm, and applies expert pressure, working the arm of Santino, the veteran in London showing. Chavo runs to the ropes... and drops a Leg Drop to Primo! The crowd groans, and Primo rolls in pain. The Puerto Rican gets up – and gets taken with a swift European Uppercut, making him keel over, before Chavo puts a boot to the side of Primo’s head! Primo falls, stunned... Santino fights free of the hold London has him in, and again, tries to whip him to the ropes... but London stands his ground again – AND DRIVES HIS BOOT TO THE GULLET OF SANTINO WITH AN EMPHATIC SUPERKICK... SENDING HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE – AND TO THE FLOOR!

Elimination #2: Santino Marella by Paul London at 4:16

Santino looks up at London, struggling to come to terms with what’s happened! The crowd roars at Santino’s elimination, and London smiles, before turning round... and being picked up by Chavo, who lays him out with a perfectly-executed Sitout Side Powerslam! The crowd groans, and Chavo smirks as he gets up – Bourne is up, and he heads for Chavo... who sees him coming, boots him in the gut... and hits the high-flyer with a quick Backbreaker – into a Neckbreaker! The lovely combination stuns Bourne, who rolls away, pained. Primo gets up, and charges at Chavo too, who smoothly takes the Puerto Rican in his stride... and hits a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! Primo lies on the mat, clutching his back, and in complete shock – Chavo just took out everybody! The commentators mention that Chavo has dealt with all three men with three solid wrestling moves, something we haven’t seen from him in a while! While they waffle on about how good of a technical wrestler the Mexican Warrior is, London is the first to get up – Chavo boots him the gut, and hits the first Amigo... rolls and gets up... and the second... rolls and gets up... but London won’t go for the third, and pushes Chavo away! Chavo turns around, and Primo comes hurtling towards him... Chavo bends down, and sends Primo over his head with a basic Back Body Throw (not Drop)... and Primo would’ve landed on his feet, had it not been for Paul London – WHO CRACKS PRIMO WITH A SUPERKICK IN MID-AIR! Primo crumples in the air, and falls to the mat, in pieces, as the crowd goes wild – replays show over and over... but London picks Primo up, so we go back to the action – London tries to push the Puerto Rican over the top rope, but he’s forgotten about Chavo... WHO COMES RUSHING IN, CLOTHESLINING BOTH PRIMO AND PAUL LONDON OVER THE TOP ROPE, AND TO THE FLOOR!

Eliminations #3 and #4: Primo and Paul London by Chavo Guerrero at 5:48

The crowd boos, and Chavo smirks down at the two lightweights on the outside, who slowly come to terms with what’s happened. Chavo turns round, and comes face-to-face with Evan “Air” Bourne! The crowd starts roaring Bourne’s name, and we are down to two men! Only one of them can challenge for the United States Championship after this event – it’s gonna be either Evan Bourne or Chavo Guerrero! Both men are pretty exhausted from their exploits already, but that title shot means one hell of a lot to them both... Bourne starts the conflict off, lashing out with a massive right boot to Chavo’s mid-section, before running to the ropes, rebounding, and coming back with a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors Takedown! The crowd goes totally nuts for the beautiful move, with Bourne swinging all about Chavo’s neck before he pulls Chavo down, arms spread wide like an eagle! Bourne immediately springs to his feet, prepared to fight for this one! Chavo gets up, blinking, and immediately feels the force of one of Bourne’s patented Knee Strikes – Bourne follows up, trying to whip Chavo to the ropes, but the Mexican Warrior sends him there himself, and bends down... but Bourne kicks him in the face, and Chavo straightens, stunned!

Bourne goes behind Chavo, bouncing off the ropes, and nails a superb One-Handed Bulldog to Guerrero! Bourne bounces on the balls of his feet, knowing he’s taken control here. Chavo gets up, leaning on the ropes as he rests – the crowd roars, and Bourne charges in, going to clothesline Chavo over... but Guerrero was playing possum, and he lowers the top rope – AND BOURNE GOES FLYING OVER! The crowd screams with disbelief – BUT BOURNE GRABS THE TOP ROPE WITH ONE HAND, AND DESPERATELY TRIES NOT TO LET HIS FEET TOUCH THE FLOOR! Guerrero wanders into the centre of the ring, celebrating his victory with raised arms... but Bourne manages to get back to the apron... AND ROLLS BACK INTO THE RING! Chavo Guerrero turns around as the crowd goes crazy, and sees Bourne with a shocked expression! The crowd chant Bourne’s name repeatedly, and Chavo raises his fists, infuriated... Bourne shakes his head a little, then moves in – straight into a Snap Neckbreaker from the Mexican Warrior!

The buzzkill from Chavo silences the crowd, and Guerrero waits for Bourne to get up... he does, and Chavo picks him up, setting him up for the Gory Bomb – the crowd sees what’s coming, and starts to boo... but Bourne starts to struggle... and gets his legs free! Bourne puts his feet on the floor, but both men have their arms tangled in the others – they twist, so they’re face to face... Chavo boots Bourne in the gut, releasing the arms – and the Mexican Warrior spins around to behind Bourne, before dragging him towards the ropes... and trying to German Suplex Bourne over the top rope! Bourne goes flying – but he grabs the top rope with both hands, and lands on the apron! Chavo moves in, looking to knock Bourne from the apron... BUT BOURNE LASHES OUT WITH HIS PATENTED ROUNDHOUSE KICK, PUTTING CHAVO INTO NEXT WEEK! Chavo falls, stunned, and lies motionless on the mat – and Bourne goes up top! The crowd roars – Bourne’s gonna give them a show! Bourne absolutely soars from the turnbuckle... AND CONNECTS WITH THE SHOOTING – STAR – PRESS! The crowd goes wild, and Michael Cole screams ‘VINTAGE BOURNE!’ Bourne springs up, roaring with adrenaline after the kick-ass move! Chavo struggles to his feet, conveniently placed by the ropes... and Bourne charges to the opposite side of the ring, bouncing off the ropes for extra force, before charging at Chavo... AND CLOTHESLINING THE MEXICAN WARRIOR FROM THE RING! CHAVO CLATTERS TO THE FLOOR OUTSIDE – AND THE BELL RINGS! BOURNE HAS WON IT!

A referee slides into the ring to raise Bourne’s arm in the air, and the crowd goes crazy for him! Chavo Guerrero sits up, shakes his head in total disbelief, and then lies on to his back, looking at the ceiling, disappointed. Bourne goes to each turnbuckle, pointing out at the fans with a massive, glorious smile.

Cole: He’s done it! Evan Bourne has finally earned that title shot, and now it’s official! Nobody can take that from him! King – what a performance!

King: Evan never gave up, Michael – he eliminated the biggest man in the match early on in Chris Masters... he really has his number, Michael... and he just kept fighting to make sure nobody would be taking that title shot from him!

Cole: Well, with that win, Evan Bourne is the new No. 1 Contender to the United States Championship – he’ll face either the Miz or Carlito in the coming weeks on Monday Night Raw, depending on which of them wins that massive title match later on tonight.

The camera cuts backstage, where boos garner for the Miz, who is shown watching Bourne celebrating on one of the small TVs littered around different areas of backstage. Miz, still in street clothes, has the coveted title belt over his shoulder, and is looking at the screen with a disapproving look – he was probably hoping for Santino to win. He shakes his head a little, then turns around – and immediately meets Carlito! The crowd cheers, and the Caribbean superstar fluffs his afro with a smirk:

Carlito: Jur focus a little off, Miz-z? Maybe, ju should be focusing on me! I’d hate for ju to make excuses...

Miz scoffs.

Miz: Really, Carlito? Really?

The crowd boos and Carlito rolls his eyes.

Miz: My ‘focus’ is none of your business. Tonight, I’m gonna beat... ju, and then I’ll beat that human pogo stick within an inch of his life to retain my title, just like I’m gonna do to... ju.

The crowd boos again, and Carlito frowns.

Miz: I can beat him... hell, I can beat ANYBODY – and I would have beaten him, five weeks ago, had it not been for... wait, who was it?

Miz sarcastically ponders for a second.

Miz: Oh yeah! Ju!

Carlito frowns again as Miz insults his accent once more.

Miz: So rather than trying to joke around to look... what was it... cool, maybe you want to go arrange how many medics you want to come down to the ring to look after you and kiss you better after I humiliate you for another successful title defence?

The boos continue.

Miz: My opponents usually have about four, but I’d recommend a couple more, I’m in the mood to make an example of you, buddy...

Carlito tilts his head as Miz pauses.

Miz: And then I’ll leave the ring... still... YOUR... United... States... Champion!

The crowd boos – they don’t want him to be their anything. Miz walks past Carlito, but stops for a second, and turns with a smirk.

Miz: And you wanna know why, Carly?

Carlito rolls his eyes. The crowd tries to drown the cocky Champion out, but it’s no use...

Miz: Well... it’s cause I’m the Miz, and I’M... AWWWWWWWESOMMMMME!

The crowd boos, and the Miz leaves emphatically, leaving Carlito to shake his head. He turns around and wanders in the opposite direction, muttering ‘Dat’s not cool...’

The camera cuts back to the ring, where Michael Cole and Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler are still sitting.

Cole: Well, the two men you just saw will finally face off one-on-one later tonight – we’ll come back to them later, but right now, King, let’s talk about Melina and Maryse.

King: Well, Michael, five weeks ago, Maryse picked up the win in a 6-Diva Tag Team match to earn herself a shot at Melina’s Divas Championship tonight.

Cole: And since then, Maryse has been on a roll – she’s beaten both Kelly Kelly and Gail Kim in singles action over the last couple of weeks, and she’s kept herself firmly in Melina’s radar, that’s for certain. On Monday night, the pair engaged in a heated staredown – tonight, the pair finally face off, with the title on the line, to decide who truly is the top Diva on Raw.

The bell rings.

Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WWE Divas Championship!

Maryse’s music starts, and the Sultry Diva arrives, smirking. The crowd boos as she wanders out on to the stage, dressed in her usual black ring gear, and looking pretty damn confident she can capture the title tonight.

Roberts: Introducing first, the challenger... from Montreal, Quebec, Canada... Maryse!

Another set of boos greets the announcement, and the Sultry Diva struts down the ramp, cape over her shoulders. She sweeps her arms into the air in her usual cocky fashion.

Cole: Maryse has really shown what a ring talent she is in recent weeks, whereas Melina’s had nowhere near the amount of ring exposure she has, King. Could that be the difference?

King: I’m sure Melina’s been training hard outside of the Raw ring, Michael. I bet she’d hate to lose the title on something as trivial as lack of ring action!

Maryse sweeps up on to the apron, winks out at the audience, and then gets in the ring, flinging her cape to ringside. She shrugs her shoulders a little, making sure she’s fully stretched out for this championship bout.

The music of Melina kicks off, and the Pepsi Center cheers as the Divas Champion arrives! Melina has none of her usual bounce and cheerfulness about her, instead strutting out, the epitome of focus. She’s dressed in all white, with gold patterns on her tights.

Roberts: And her opponent! From Los Angeles, California... she is the current Divas Champion... Melina!

The crowd cheers again, and Melina storms down the ramp with a purpose, holding out a stiff arm to the fans on one side, but never taking her eyes off her challenger.

Cole: Wow, King – Melina doesn’t look like she’s in the mood to mess around tonight.

King: Well, Michael, Maryse hasn’t exactly been in Melina’s good books – she called her ‘the fake Champion’ among other things – Maryse really riled Melina up with her words, and for Melina, this will be more than just a title match, I think. It’ll be about a measure of respect, too, I think, Michael.

The Red Carpet Diva takes the steps up, waits on the apron, and hands her title to the referee. She springs up, landing her splits to perfection – Maryse scoffs, pretending she’s not impressed, and Melina smirks a little, before ducking under the bottom rope, and standing, taking back her title. She raises it as high as it will go, and the crowd roars – the referee takes it from her, and raises it into the air himself to emphasize that this is a title match. A Divas Championship graphic appears on the screen, then disappears. Maryse and Melina stare each other down from across the ring, and the latter bounces on the balls of her feet, before testing the ropes as the referee makes all the necessary checks, and kicks this one off – the bell chimes...

Match 2

Both women wander into the centre of the ring from their corners, weaving about a little, fists raised. Maryse hammers into Melina’s gut immediately with a hard boot, and heads for the ropes... but Melina is up, and she cracks the Sultry Diva with a huge slap to the face on her return! The crowd cries ‘OHHH!’ and Maryse reels away, a massive red mark on her face! Maryse straightens up, touching her face tenderly in horror, and her pain turns to rage, as she screams aimless French at Melina, who raises her arms in an aggressive way, shouting back at her in good old English! Maryse throws a slap back, but Melina ducks underneath, heads for the ropes... and Spears Maryse to the floor, hammering the Sultry Diva with lefts and rights! The referee yells at Melina to break it up, but the Red Carpet Diva screams out, and continues to feed right and left hands to the face of Maryse! The referee starts counting, but Maryse stops it at three, flinging Melina off her! Both women stand, looking at each other – Maryse’s hair is all over the place, and the red mark on her cheek is pretty massive, whereas Melina looks like a raging dog, teeth showing, eyes fiery. The referee tries to tell them off, but neither woman is listening – Cole mentions that it’s barely been a wrestling match so far, more just a catfight. King says he doesn’t see a problem with it.

The two Divas move in again, locking up – they struggle a little, and Maryse gets the upper hand, managing to spin out into a headlock – Melina takes them both to the ropes, however, bouncing off, and sending Maryse to the opposite side... Maryse rebounds – and comes back into a Headscissors from Melina... who transitions it into a nasty Facebuster! The crowd groans, and Melina lets out a big scream, before hooking the leg with the first cover of the event... 1... 2... but Maryse kicks out! Melina gets up, knowing she’s shaken the Sultry Diva with one of her power moves early on. Maryse struggles up, and is immediately met by the Champion, who whips Maryse across the ring... and strikes like a snake with a stunning Leg Lariat! The crowd cheers, and Melina scrambles into the cover...

Melina stands again, running her hands through her hair a little, and waits for Maryse to join her... she does, and the Red Carpet Diva locks her up in a headlock... but Maryse pushes her away! Melina turns around – and gets rocked by a massive forearm to the face from Maryse! Melina falls, and the Sultry Diva looks down at her, taking a quick breather... before falling with an Elbow Drop to the heart of the Champion! The crowd boos, and Maryse hooks a leg... 1... 2... but Melina kicks out emphatically! Melina is up before her opponent, fire coursing through her veins... Maryse rises, only to be stunned by a big Roundhouse Kick to the head from the Divas Champion! Melina watches Maryse clatter to the mat, then heads for the ropes, hopping on to the second rope, and springing back with a Moonsault... NOBODY’S HOME! Maryse rolls away, and Melina eats the mat! The momentum carries Melina to her knees, and the camera shows the Champion clutching her ribs, wincing... and she gets a massive boot to the face from the opportunistic Maryse! The crowd groans with the nasty impact, and Maryse flops her body on to Melina’s with what she calls a pin attempt...

Maryse beats the mat in frustration, then gets up... Melina sits up, and takes a Low Dropkick to the face! Melina crunches to the mat, blinking in shock! Maryse folds her over into a cover again...

Melina crawls towards the corner, but Melina steps on her ankle! The crowd boos, and Melina cries out... and clasps the bottom rope, making the referee force the Sultry Diva away! Melina lets out a sigh of relief, and begins to make her way up... but Maryse isn’t done, and the Sultry Diva grabs Melina by the hair, and drags her into the centre of the ring! The referee’s scolding falls on deaf ears, and Maryse sets Melina up with an inverted facelock... before driving the Divas Champion into her knee with a modified Reverse DDT, before bringing her back up into the inverted facelock... and she does it again! Melina’s head hits Maryse’s knee for a second time, before the Sultry Diva reapplies the inverted facelock... and completes the sequence with a normal Reverse DDT to the mat! Melina cries out on the mat, and Maryse hooks a leg, unusually...

The crowd roars, and Maryse pulls Melina back to her feet, frustrated... she applies the front facelock, and looks out at the crowd! The crowd boos as Maryse throws her hair back... LOOKING FOR THE FRENCH KISS... BUT MELINA KICKS OUT MARYSE’S LEGS! Maryse falls to the floor, stunned, and Melina grabs her legs... before flipping over into a Jacknife pin! 1... 2... but Maryse kicks out! Melina stands, watching Maryse warily... and the Sultry Diva gets up, taking a boot to the gut as she stands... the Divas Champion sends her to the turnbuckle, and follows up, nailing a sweet Corner Clothesline! The crowd cheers, and Melina spins back into the centre of the ring, screaming like an animal! The crowd starts chanting her name, and Maryse wanders back towards her, a bit dizzy from the Clothesline... BOOM! SUPERKICK FROM MELINA! Maryse goes down like a sack of potatoes, and Melina smoothly falls into the cover...

The crowd lets out a groan of disbelief, and Melina gets up to her knees, screaming to the heavens! The Red Carpet Diva springs up, bouncing on the balls of her feet, ready to attack again... Maryse struggles up at a snail’s pace, and Melina grabs her in a front facelock – but Maryse pushes her away, and pulls the Champion down with an Arm Drag, before pressing her to the mat... and locking in the Camel Clutch! Melina yells out, her neck pulled back by Maryse’s deadly hold... the referee kneels down beside the Champion, asking her if she wants to tap out – but Melina defiantly yells out ‘NO!’ and keeps withstanding the hold! Maryse bends back even further, putting even more pressure on Melina – and the Sultry Diva screams something in French... BUT MELINA WILL – NOT – TAP! The crowd starts clapping their support to Melina, and the referee asks the Red Carpet Diva if she’s had enough yet... but Melina yells back ‘I’M NOT FRICKIN’ TAPPING OUT!’ and starts struggling... SHE REACHES OUT WITH A DESPERATE ARM, AND GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE!

The crowd roars, and Melina screeches for the referee to do his job... the man in the middle begins the count... 1... 2... 3... 4... Maryse finally breaks the hold before the referee can say ‘five’, and gets up – Melina struggles to her feet using the ropes, and takes a deep breath... and when she turns around, Maryse grabs her by the hair, drags her into the centre of the ring... and connects with the Forward Russian Legsweep! Melina’s head hammers into the mat, and Maryse stands, smirking! Maryse knows she’s hit her primary set-up move, and she waits for the Champion to rise... she does, and Maryse lines up the front facelock... looking for the French Kiss for a second time in the matchup... Maryse sweeps her hair back... must be... but Melina comes to life, forcing Maryse to the turnbuckle, and breaks out of the facelock, before unleashing with right and left hands! The crowd goes wild for the Red Carpet Diva, who then pulls herself up on to Maryse’s shoulders, and sends the Sultry Diva across the ring with a stunning Headscissors Takedown! Melina clambers up the turnbuckle, waiting for Maryse to get up... the crowd is cheering loudly for Melina, and as the Sultry Diva gets up, the Divas Champion launches off the top turnbuckle, and connects with a big Missile Dropkick to her challenger! Melina and Maryse fly to opposite sides of the ring, and the Red Carpet Diva scrambles across the ring... and hooks the leg-

Melina gets up, red in the face, and totally exhausted! Maryse doesn’t look in any better shape, and as the Sultry Diva rises, the two women look at each other, breathing heavily... Melina goes in, but Maryse puts an arm around the Champion’s shoulders, swings her round, and connects with her Spinning Side Slam Backbreaker! The crowd boos, and Maryse looks down at Melina on the mat, mouth open in exhaustion – the Sultry Diva drops to the mat to make the cover...

Maryse beats the mat in frustration! She yells out in very crude French, then grabs Melina by the hair, dragging her up to her feet – she ignores the referee, then takes a step back away from the Champion. Maryse throws a massive forearm... but Melina bends backwards, landing in a beautiful Bridging Evasion... before lashing out with a whipping boot – which connects to the side of Maryse’s head! The Sultry Diva, shocked by the athletic move, falls to the mat, and the crowd cheers for Melina’s athleticism! It’s that kind of thing why she’s Champion in the first place! Cole screams ‘VINTAGE MELINA!’ and Melina stands, ready to deliver the killer blow, wiping the sweat from her brow, and the hair from her eyes... Maryse struggles to her feet, and gets put in the inverted facelock... Melina looks for the Primal Scream..... but Maryse spins out of the hold, and drops the Champion with a monster Clothesline! The crowd groans, and Maryse hooks the leg...

Melina rolls and gets up, frustrated she lost her chance to kill Maryse off... the Sultry Diva gets up too, and puts her boot to the gut of Melina, but the Champion fights back with a big right hand, rocking Maryse, who falls backwards... Melina sees the turnbuckle just behind her, and she quickly pulls herself up to the second rope – when Maryse turns around, Melina is ready to fly! The Red Carpet Diva soars off, but Maryse ducks underneath the attempt Leg Lariat... but Melina lands on her feet, and drags Maryse back by the head... inverted facelock! The crowd gets to its feet, and Melina lets out a massive screech before... SHE CONNECTS WITH THE PRIMAL SCREAM! THE CROWD ROARS, AND MELINA STICKS IN THE LANDING PINNING POSITION, ARM RAISED IN VICTORY...

3!!!!! MELINA RETAINS!!!!!

Melina’s arm goes a mile into the air as her music plays, confirming her victory! Justin Roberts makes the announcement, and Melina drops to her knees, overjoyed! The referee hands the Red Carpet Diva her title belt, and she immediately heads for the turnbuckle, raising into the air with a massive smile on her face!

Cole: Melina retains after a massive match filled with brawling and big moves! What did you think, King?

King: Melina did great, Michael! Now nobody can doubt that she’s the top dog in the Women’s Division on Raw!

Cole: Well, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen – Melina has beaten Maryse tonight, pinning the Sultry Diva to the mat for the three count, and she’s retained the WWE Divas Championship. The question is, who will challenge her for the title next?

Melina falls to her knees again in the ring, looking endearingly at the title – she plants a kiss on the belt, and on the outside, Maryse shakes her head in disgust. The camera cuts to the announce table, and Fixer’s ‘Tell No One’ kicks off again.

Cole: And don’t forget to tune in tomorrow night – Monday Night Raw is in the fantastic EnergySolutions Arena in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah. We’ll have all the backlash and developments coming out of all the happenings tonight, at this historic event, which is unfolding in front of our very eyes, King.

King: Well, Michael, I can’t wait to get to Utah, but I’m more interested in what’s still to come tonight!

Before King can elaborate, we cut backstage. The World Heavyweight Champion, Big Show, is talking to a backstage worker. The crowd roars for the World’s Largest Athlete, who is considerably taller than the man he’s chatting to, and wearing all three of his titles on his person – both men are smiling.

Worker: Well, good luck tonight.

Show: Cheers, Jim. Tell the wife ‘hi’ from me.

The worker nods with a grin and leaves. Show turns, and begins to walk down the corridor, but he is stopped as Chris Jericho walks straight up to him, frowning. He, too, has his Unified Tag Team Title belts over his shoulders. The crowd boos at Jericho, who looks up at Show like he’s stupid, and automatically assumes Show knows what he’s talking about:

Jericho: An NYC Brawl? What, are you trying to kill us or something?

Jericho’s words lack emotion – he’s speaking with a very straight face at Show, who looks at him intently.

Show: Possibly.

It takes Jericho a second to get there. He changes subject speedily.

Jericho: Why are you here?

Show begins to walk, and Jericho scurries alongside him, eventually managing to keep pace with the big man.

Show: I told you on Friday, Chris – I’m here to defend the tag titles, like Teddy Long said I had to. But I want you to watch what I do, Chris. Because what I do tonight, might just be a very... accurate representation of what’s gonna happen at the Rumble.

Jericho frowns. He seems almost sleepy in his words.

Jericho: When all four of us are gonna fight in the streets? Seriously?

Show smirks.

Show: Yes, Chris. We are going to fight in the streets. If you want the title... well, you’ll just have to work for it. In the streets.

Jericho puts his arms up hopelessly.

Jericho: What about lawsuits, Show? What happens if I cripple one of the parasitic hypocrites in New York? Huh?

The crowd boos. Show shrugs.

Show: Not my problem, Chris. And really, I would’ve thought you’d be more interested in tonight – if you want any gold around your waist going into Wrestlemania, this is your best chance...

Show looks at Jericho for the first time in a while.

Show: ...cause there’s not a hope in hell of you taking my World Heavyweight Championship.

The crowd cheers, and Jericho stops, allowing Show to walk on alone. He puts his hands in the air again, then looks into the camera, which is pointed square at him. He mutters ‘Get out of my face’ and pushes the cameraman away, before wandering off in the direction Show left in.

Tommy Dreamer raising a Singapore Cane above his head.

Dreamer: I’m bringing Extreme back...

Zack Ryder popping his collar in the ring.

Ryder: I’m pulling Extreme down...

Quick shots of Ezekiel Jackson, William Regal, Shelton Benjamin, Paul Burchill... and finally, Christian.

Christian on the top turnbuckle, raising his title belt high.

Christian: Extreme Returns...

The camera cuts elsewhere, where Randy Orton is sat in his locker room, preparing. The crowd boos heavily at the sight of the Viper, who is strapping his wrists a little – dissatisfied, he tears the tape off, and throws it to the side. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase wander into the shot, and the crowd boos again. Orton glances at them, and sighs.

Orton: ...what?

Rhodes and DiBiase glance at each other.

Rhodes: Randy, we just wanted to wish you luck tonight.

Orton glares up at them, clearly mistrusting.

Orton: ...thank you.

The three stand in silence for a moment, and Orton goes back to trying to apply his wrist tape. DiBiase can’t take it any longer, clearly.

DiBiase: Look, Randy. We know there’s been some... tension between us three these last few weeks, but we just wanted you to know that we’re totally behind you.

Orton looks up at them again.

Orton: ...thank you.

He looks away again, and Rhodes bursts out:

Rhodes: Randy – ok, listen. We know you don’t respect us yet. And hey, well, we don’t agree with you, but Ted and I are willing to prove you wrong. And-

Orton stands, silencing Rhodes.

Orton: We’ve been through this. You win those titles tonight... and I just might finally be convinced that you can be the future of this business. But I don’t just want that. I want to be known as the man who mentored the brightest young talents in the WWE! I want to be known as the man who led the fiercest, brightest new talents in this company into the limelight!

Rhodes and DiBiase are paying complete attention to the Viper.

Orton: You two could be... you could be huge! You hear me? But when you lose... you ruin your own legacy, and you sure as hell ruin mine! My name is already in lights, dammit! I’ve ushered in the Age of Orton so many times I’ve nearly lost count! I am a future WWE Hall of Famer!

Orton: And you two need to put in the work if you want to make it there, too... because I won’t respect you, until you give me a damn reason to. You need to convince me that you have it in you to become the fiercest, most unstoppable pair of superstars since... Randy Orton.

More boos. Rhodes and DiBiase smirk.

DiBiase: We’re with ya, Randy. We’ll see ya later.

The camera cuts back to the arena, where the crowd is fairly quiet. The camera cuts to ringside, with Michael Cole and Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler.

Cole: Well, what you just saw was just another development in something that’s spanned five weeks – Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, fighting for the respect of their Legacy cohort and mentor, Randy Orton. All three men have big matches tonight, King, what’s your view on all of this?

King: Well Michael, this all stemmed from Randy Orton getting blindsided by Kofi Kingston a couple of weeks back, and blaming it on his Legacy associates, wrongly, I’d say. Ever since, Legacy have been on a sort of mission to prove to Orton that they’re worth his time as his ‘students’, if you will. I just wonder if Ted and Cody can finally get the job done tonight by winning the titles.

Cole: King, I can tell you that we’re about to find out.

The bell rings.

Roberts: The following is a Fatal Four-Way Tag Team match scheduled for one fall, and it is for the WWE Unified Tag Team Championships!

A moments’ silence, before:

The arena turns green... green ‘X’s sprout up all over the 25,000 strong crowd... and as the music cries ‘Break it down!’ D-Generation X arrive, looking ready to go!

Roberts: Introducing first, the challengers... the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels... the Game, Triple H... D-Generatioooooooooon... X!

The crowd roars for Triple H and Shawn Michaels, who wander out on to the stage with an air of confidence, holding glowsticks in the air, as they do nowadays. They grin out at the crowd, then start to make their way down the ramp, flinging glowsticks in to the crowd as they do.

Cole: Well, when you tally the bets, so to speak, there’s no doubt about it. The firm favourites to pick up the win tonight are DX, King, and they sure have been on a roll as of lately.

King: Damn straight, Michael – they’ve picked up wins over Legacy and Chris Jericho and the Big Show, even if both wins were by pretty narrow margins.

DX get in the ring and unleash the ‘X’ pyro as usual, then pose... as usual, then throw some more glowsticks into the crowd... as usual. Nothing special here. Either way, they pose on the turnbuckles a little, then pick a corner to fight from, and hang around that sort of area, talking strategy.

The crowd boos, and Legacy come out, Rhodes walking backwards. He turns round, and the pair wander down the ramp, smirking, and watching DX in the ring.

Roberts: And, at a combined weight of 458 pounds... the team of Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase... Legacy!

Cole: And we have no need to go through again how much this match means to Legacy here.

King: Rhodes and DiBiase have really bright futures, Michael. Tonight is a massive stepping stone for them!

Rhodes and DiBiase get in the ring, and warily take up a position in the corner, watching DX tentatively. They, too, talk strategy while they await their opponents.

The crowd cheers as MVP and Mark Henry make their way out, smiling out to the crowd.

Roberts: And, at a combined weight of 661 pounds... the team of Montel Vontavious Porter and the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry... the World’s Strongest Tag Team!

The pair make their way down the ramp, slapping the hands of the fans at ringside.

Cole: It’s well documented that MVP and Mark Henry are determined to get their hands on the Tag Team Titles, and tonight is the perfect opportunity.

King: There were worries about the state of Mark Henry’s knee after his match with Chris Jericho on Monday, but he’s medically cleared to compete, which is a great relief to him, I bet!

The pair get in the ring, and take a spare corner. MVP wanders into the centre of the ring and does his Ballin’ taunt, before returning to go over last minute tactics with Henry. On the stage, a numeric countdown begins...

Pyrotechnics fire off from the stage, and the music begins...

The crowd boos intensely as Chris Jericho wanders out, smirking.

Roberts: And, from Manhasset, New York, weighing in at 231 pounds... he is one half of the current Unified Tag Team Champions... Chris Jericho!

The crowd boos again, but Jericho is oblivious, and he wanders down the ramp, warily watching the teams in the ring, who are blatantly eyeing the gold on his shoulders.

Cole: Well, the man picked up a big win over Mark Henry this last Monday, even if it was by cheating, but I don’t like Chris Jericho’s chances in this one – his own partner is an enemy!

King: Yeah, Michael – Jericho and Big Show are mortal enemies now. I don’t see them retaining when they don’t even like each other anymore!

Jericho hovers around the spare corner on the outside, not willing to get in the ring yet.

The crowd roars, and the World Heavyweight Champion arrives on the special event set, smiling down at the ring. The tag titles hang over his shoulders, and the World Title strap is around his waist.

Roberts: And finally, his tag team partner... at 7 feet tall, weighing in at 485 pounds... the World’s Largest Athlete, the other half of the current WWE Unified Tag Team Champions, and the World Heavyweight Champion... the Big Show!

The crowd cheers the monster announcement, and Show begins to walk down the ramp, still confident.

Cole: The World’s Largest Athlete looks set to go here tonight, but I don’t think his mind is really set on retaining the titles, tonight, King!

King: I agree with you there, Michael – I think Big Show’s just out to cause as much havoc as possible, especially directed towards his Royal Rumble opponent, Chris Jericho!

Show takes his place on the apron, and hands his stack of title belts to the referee, who picks out the necessary ones, and holds them in one hand, while he gives the World Title to ringside. He takes Jericho’s titles, and raises all four belts into the air, before handing them to ringside. A graphic with the Tag Titles on appears on screen to emphasize the title match aspect, then disappears – the four teams eventually agree on MVP and Ted DiBiase starting the match off, and the referee calls for the bell to start the match.

Match 3

DiBiase and Porter wander into the centre of the ring, hovering around each other, fists raised. The pair circle around, and MVP hovers too close to DX’s corner – and Triple H slaps his hand to the back of MVP, tagging himself in! MVP turns around, frustrated, and starts to complain, but the Game ignores him, and locks up with DiBiase... the referee tells MVP to get back to his corner, and the Ballin’ Superstar does so, still frowning that he was tagged out so early. The Game throws DiBiase to the floor from the grapple, but the Million Dollar Prince is soon back up, and he throws a big right hand to Triple H’s stomach, causing him to keel over. DiBiase runs to the ropes, and rebounds... before driving the King of Kings to the mat with a nasty Clothesline! The Million Dollar Prince uses the lateral press, the first cover of the match... 1... but Triple H emphatically kicks out, throwing DiBiase across the ring! The youngster gets up, and moves towards Triple H again, grabbing the Game as he gets to his knees, and pulling him to his feet... before pulling him up and slamming him down with a basic Scoop Powerslam!

The crowd boos as DiBiase raises his arms, taunting the arena as a whole, before jumping up, and dropping a giant Jumping Stomp to the head of the Cerebral Assassin! Triple H rolls a little, pained, and DiBiase smirks, before pulling the Game to his feet, and putting him in a headlock... before pulling them both to Legacy’s corner, and tagging in Cody Rhodes! Rhodes wanders in, and casually boots Triple H in the gut, causing him to bend over, pain across his face. Mark Henry and MVP are talking under their breath in the corner, each man keeping an eye on the action in the ring. Jericho occasionally looks at Show sharply, paranoid that the World’s Largest Athlete will lash out with his patented right hand at any time. The Heartbreak Kid is seen muttering ‘Come on Hunter...’ and in the centre of the ring, Rhodes jumps up, clocking Triple H with a Dropkick to the head – the Cerebral Assassin goes down, and Rhodes waits for him to get back up... and when he does, Rhodes grabs him, and hits a Russian Legsweep! The other teams are more than happy to let one of the biggest threats in the match get worn down, and Rhodes hooks a leg...

Rhodes slaps the mat in frustration, then pulls the Game back to his feet... he tries to whip him to the ropes, but Triple H showcases his strength, setting his feet, and sending Rhodes to the corner... where Chris Jericho is, and the man formerly known as Y2J eagerly tags himself in off Rhodes, and charges in... only to be flattened by a Shoulder Block from the Game, who then turns around, and gets the tag to the Heartbreak Kid! Shawn Michaels comes rushing in, lighting up Jericho’s chest with a few Knife Edge Chops! Rhodes finally steps out on to the apron, after a few moments of protesting to the referee following the forced tag from Jericho. HBK hits Jericho with another massive Knife Edge Chop (the crowd cries the inevitable ‘WOOOO’), knocking him to the ground, and Jericho gets up... Michaels picks him up, and nails his patented Inverted Atomic Drop! Jericho reels away, then turns around... and throws a Clothesline at Michaels, who ducks straight underneath it, and sets up for a Belly-to-Back Suplex... but Jericho lashes out with lots of quick, striking elbows, and Michaels falls back, holding his head... and when he turns around, Jericho feeds him a leg, and drives the other to Michaels’ head with an Enzuigiri! HBK falls, and Jericho smirks out at the crowd before falling into a cover...

Jericho pulls Michaels to his feet by his hair, and the referee scolds him, but Jericho ignores him, before whipping him to the ropes... but Michaels holds on to the ropes, refusing to walk straight into the waiting Back Body Drop! Jericho remains in his bent over position, and Michaels boots him in the face! Jericho reels back, pained, then roars back with a big right hand to the Heartbreak Kid, sending him reeling back... into the corner of the World’s Strongest Tag Team! Mark Henry takes advantage, slapping Michaels’ back, and making himself legal, before charging into the ring, and grabbing a stunned Jericho by the head, before hoisting him up into a Gorilla Press! The crowd roars, and Henry smiles out, while Jericho yells out, shocked! Henry takes him towards MVP, before dropping him... BOOM! SNAKES EYES – JERICHO’S HEAD CANNONS OFF THE TURNBUCKLE! Jericho stumbles back into the centre of the ring, clears his head, then looks up... to see the World’s Strongest Man charging at him, decapitating him with a monster Clothesline! Big Show seems to be enjoying watching Jericho get his ass handed to him... Jericho falls to the floor, his brains scrambled from the Clothesline, and Henry bounces off the ropes, before coming back... AND LANDING A HUGE 418 POUND SPLASH TO JERICHO! The crowd groans, and Henry presses Jericho to the mat...

The referee yells at DiBiase, who cockily puts his arms, pretending he’s innocent... and he gets a boot to the face from Montel Vontavious Porter! The crowd roars, and MVP trash talks to a stunned DiBiase on the mat, before heading back to his corner as the referee directs his warnings at him. DiBiase rolls from the ring, and rests against the apron, recovering, and blinking in surprise. Rhodes drops from the apron to check on his partner, and in the ring, Henry picks Jericho from the mat, and puts him in an Oklahoma... he looks to hit Snake Eyes again, this time in Jericho’s own corner... Show puts his arms up, beckoning Henry to carry on! Jericho squirms out, however, and pushes Henry into the World’s Largest Athlete on the apron! Big Show falls from the apron, shocked, and clatters to the outside! Henry holds his head, clearly in pain from the collision with the World Heavyweight Champion... he wanders into the centre of the ring, wobbly... and Jericho bounces off the ropes, putting all his force behind a One-Handed Bulldog! Henry hits the mat hard, and Jericho struggles to roll Henry into the cover...

The crowd roars for Michaels’ ingenuity, and the Heartbreak Kid rolls to the side, leaping to his feet! The referee starts yelling at Michaels, and the replays play over and over, showing HBK hitting the Elbow Drop to Jericho, who was on top of Henry! Both legal men are a mess inside the ring, and HBK heads back to his corner under the ranting of the referee, who is red in the face! Michaels doesn’t seem very willing to leave the ring, yelling ‘You don’t understand!’, but the referee starts a count, and Triple H grabs the Heartbreak Kid, telling him to get back on the apron before they get disqualified from the match! In the ring, Mark Henry and Chris Jericho start to stir, and Jericho crawls towards his corner, reaching out to Show... but the World’s Largest Athlete drops from the apron, refusing his Royal Rumble opponent the tag! Jericho struggles to his feet, screaming at Show, who is still fuming about the collision with Henry! Speak of the devil, the World’s Strongest Man slaps the hand of MVP, and the Ballin’ Superstar comes charging in, grabbing Jericho into an inverted facelock, and dragging him back into the middle of the ring! MVP raises an arm... then drives him into the mat with a Reverse DDT! MVP springs to his feet, smiling out at the crowd... and heads for the ropes, bouncing off... he makes the inevitable gesture, and the crowd cries, ‘BALLIN’!’ with Porter, who then... DROPS THE BALLIN’ ELBOW TO JERICHO!

MVP waits for Jericho to rise, and puts him in Playmaker position! The crowd roars, and MVP pulls back... everyone else is watching tentatively... but Jericho spins out, boots Porter in the gut, and dives away, slapping the first hand that he sees, desperate to be free from the ring... AND THE HAND BELONGS TO TED DIBIASE! DiBiase charges in, and begins to exchange blows with the Ballin’ Superstar, who looks a bit dejected that he didn’t get a chance to hit the Playmaker, but nevertheless determined to win this one! A big right hand from DiBiase sends MVP back a little, and when the Ballin’ Superstar comes back, the Million Dollar Prince kicks him in the gut... and drops him with a Spinning Neckbreaker! MVP hits the mat with a loud groan, and DiBiase looks down at him, smirking... before dropping a nasty Elbow Drop! DiBiase gets up... and drives another brutal Elbow Drop to the heart of the Ballin’ Superstar! The crowd boos DiBiase, who looks like he’s genuinely enjoying himself... and he drops the elbow AGAIN! Porter groans, and rolls, trying to get up... but DiBiase presses his boot to MVP’s arm to stop him in his tracks – then nails another Elbow Drop! MVP cries out in pain, and DiBiase gets up again, strutting around a little, before waving his arm deliberately before... DROPPING THE ELBOW FOR A FIFTH TIME! MVP yells out, and DiBiase STILL doesn’t cover, instead looking out at the crowd, and cockily yelling, ‘Again?’ The crowd boos him, and this time, he simply lets gravity hit the move for him... AND HE DRIVES THAT ELBOW INTO MVP’S ABDOMEN ONCE MORE! DiBiase stays on top of MVP’s body, and points to the ceiling as the referee drops to the canvas...

A mixed reaction goes up around the arena, and Jericho looks down at DiBiase with a smirk following the boot to the back – DiBiase rolls and gets to his feet, immediately getting in the face of Jericho, who merely smirks and turns away... somewhat stupidly, as DiBiase grabs him from behind, looking for Dream Street... but as they stumble into the centre of the ring¬... BIG SHOW GETS INTO THE RING, AND SWINGS THE VICIOUS RIGHT HAND... but DiBiase and Jericho dive in opposite directions... AND SHOW CLOCKS THE REFEREE WITH THE KNOCKOUT PUNCH! THE CROWD GOES NUTS, AND SHOW LOOKS DOWN AT THE ZEBRA, TOTALLY STUNNED! Replays show over and over as Big Show clatters that massive fist into the referee’s fragile face! The referee looks totally broken on the mat, and Show looks down at the referee, yelling ‘OH MAN! I DIDN’T MEAN TO! SORRY!’ But of course, the man is out cold! Show was only trying to hit Jericho! Every man in this match is shocked, and looking straight at Show... who turns around... BOOM! SPEAR!

BIG SHOW GETS ABSOLUTELY BROKEN IN TWO BY A MONSTER SPEAR... FROM BATISTA!!! THE ANIMAL IS IN DENVER!!! The crowd in the Pepsi Center goes nuts with all sorts of noise, and before long, 25,000 people are booing the crazed Animal... WHO IS LOOKING DOWN AT THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, WITH A CRAZED LOOK IN HIS EYE!

Michael Cole is screaming, ‘IT’S BATISTA! OH MY GOD, IT’S THE ANIMAL!’ and Mark Henry is the first to attack the intruder... BUT THE ANIMAL PICKS HIM UP, AND BRINGS HIM TO THE MAT WITH A 400 POUND PLUS SPINBUSTER! The very ring shakes, and Show and Henry both roll out of the ring, torn to pieces by the Animal... who then feeds a charging MVP a right hand, before flinging the Ballin’ Superstar from the ring... Shawn Michaels and Triple H come in... BUT BATISTA FLOORS THEM BOTH WITH A SICKENING DOUBLE SPEAR, TAKING THEM BOTH OUT! THIS MAN ISN’T FRICKIN’ HUMAN!!! Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are going insane on the outside... THE ANIMAL BEGINS TO SHAKE THE ROPES, BECAUSE THERE IS ONE MORE MAN WHO BATISTA NEEDS TO SEE...

Chris Jericho comes charging in, desperate to take glory for himself... and he clubs Batista in the back – BUT THE ANIMAL NO SELLS IT, TURNS AROUND... AND PUTS JERICHO BETWEEN HIS LEGS! ...JERICHO GOES UP... BATISTA BOMB TO JERICHO! A massive mixed reaction goes up, and the Animal rolls from the ring, going absolutely wild! In the ring, IT’S ABSOLUTE CARNAGE! BODIES ARE LYING EVERYWHERE! Show, Henry and MVP are on the outside – both members of DX are lying on the mat, broken in two, and so... is... Jericho! And standing above it all... ARE LEGACY!!! THE PAIR OF THIRD-GENERATION SUPERSTARS, WISE ENOUGH TO NOT GET IN THE WAY OF BATISTA, ARE NOW STANDING ABOVE THE CARNAGE, A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY IN THEIR HANDS!

MVP and DiBiase are still the legal men – the Ballin’ Superstar got off the lightest from the impromptu attack, only being flung from the ring, and hence, he’s recovered, and he gets in the ring, fists raised, but dizzy! Rhodes and DiBiase look at the referee, who is stirring... Rhodes helps him to his feet... AND DIBIASE TAKES THE FIGHT TO THE BALLIN’ SUPERSTAR! The Million Dollar Prince covers a helpless Porter with left and right hands – before whipping him to the ropes... BIG BOOT FROM DIBIASE! Porter goes down, and the referee finally wakes up, blinking the sleep out of his eyes... Rhodes exits the ring, as DiBiase pulls Porter to his feet, lines up the Cobra Clutch... the crowd boos, but they’re just as powerless as the other competitors in the match... up goes MVP... AND THE DREAM STREET CONNECTS FROM DIBIASE! DiBiase hooks the leg, and Rhodes smirks as the referee drops to the mat...

Legacy have done it! They’ve captured the Tag Team Titles! The slightly wobbly referee hands the young pair the title belts, and they raise them up high, massive grins on their faces! The crowd boos intensely, but the heat falls on deaf ears, and Legacy are overjoyed!

Cole: Can you believe what we’ve just seen, King! The Animal, Batista, charged into the match, and decimated just about everybody who got in his way, but Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase took advantage, letting him do all the work for them, and then DiBiase hit MVP with the Dream Street for a stunning win for the young pair!

King: Well, congratulations to them, I suppose – but why did Batista attack the Big Show in the first place? I can’t understand it.

Cole: Well don’t forget, King – at Royal Rumble, Big Show defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, and the Animal himself, in a Fatal Four-Way, New York City Brawl! I can only imagine that Batista was trying to send a message to the World’s Largest Athlete – either way, I’m sure we’ll hear from the Animal this coming Friday night, on SmackDown.

As Legacy pose in the ring with their shiny new titles, we see the reaction of the other teams – Big Show is recovering on the outside, holding his gut in pain, while Jericho is separate from him elsewhere at ringside, holding his neck tenderly. D-Generation X are running their hands through their hair by the announce tables, and Michaels shakes his head, crestfallen. Mark Henry is still wincing, holding his sore back, and resting on the security barricade – MVP is standing nearby, clutching his head from the Dream Street, and muttering apologies to the World’s Strongest Man, who shakes his head, and says, ‘It’s not a problem, don’t worry abou’ it.’

We cut backstage, where Todd Grisham is standing.

Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time... the All-American American... Jack Swagger!

Massive heat for the smirking Swagger, who appears in the shot as the camera zooms out.

Grisham: Jack, tonight is possibly the biggest night of your WWE career so far, as you take on John Cena for his WWE Championship – how are you feeling, with that big match looming?

Swagger stands, still smirking for a moment, and letting the boos rain down, before speaking into the mic.

Swagger: How am I feeling... how am I feeling... hm... well, I’ll tell ya, Todd. Some people might be nervous in my situation. Some people might be chewing their fingernails, or shivering – just about everybody else on Raw would crack under the pressure tonight, Todd.

More boos, but they just feed Swagger’s already over-inflated ego.

Swagger: Ya’see, I’m totally ready. I have not a doubt in my mind that I am going to go out there tonight... and make everyone sit up and pay attention to me – the All-American American.

More heat for Swagger.

Swagger: Because tonight truly is my day of reckoning. My day of judgment. My Armageddon. Because I am going to step into the ring with the fans’ so-called hero, John Cena... and I am going to flat out, beat him.

The heat increases. Swagger pauses to enjoy the thought of himself as Champion.

Swagger: And tomorrow night, when I step into the ring again on Raw – I’ll be holding the WWE Title over my shoulder, and it will feel damn sweet! And I’ll say... I TOLD YOU SO!

Swagger starts to get a little red in the face.

Swagger: All the doubters, all the ones who’ve never believed I could do it... the ones who said I was all talk, no action... I’ll prove them all wrong, and they’ll just have to sit there and accept it! They’ll just have to accept that I have ushered in a whole new era... an era when I shall be sat on high, as W... W... E... Champion.

More boos.

Swagger: And I don’t damn care if you people don’t like it! BECAUSE YOU PEOPLE DON’T MATTER, AND NEITHER DOES JOHN CENA! The only person who matters... the only person who deserves praise, who deserves the world... IS ME! And it starts tonight! When I will finally back up what I’ve been saying for weeks now...

Swagger looks into the camera with a serious look.

Swagger: ...when I beat... John... Cena.

Swagger leaves the shot as massive heat falls on him.

CM Punk standing on the turnbuckle.

CM Punk: I will be the one.

‘ROYAL RUMBLE’ crashes on to the screen...

Narrator: Who will be... THE ONE?

WWE Royal Rumble
Location: Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York
Date: January 31st, 2010
Tagline: Who Will Be The One?
Event Theme Song: ‘Hero’ by Skillet

We cut to ringside.

Cole: Yes, in exactly five weeks’ time, we’ll be back in New York City, New York, for one of the biggest events of the year, the Royal Rumble. The superstars of Raw, SmackDown and ECW will collide in the annual 30-Man Royal Rumble match to determine who will headline the big one, Wrestlemania 26.

King: I love the Royal Rumble, Michael! It’s one of my favourite events of the year, and then, not long after that, we’ve got Wrestlemania 26! We’re nearly on the Road to Wrestlemania!

Cole: We are indeed, King, but before we get there, we still have four blockbuster matches to come tonight, and some heated rivalries to boot. And while I’m here, I think we should acknowledge the fans watching from around the world, King! This event is being watched around the globe... up in Canada, down in Mexico... a big hello to our friends in the United Kingdom this evening, watching on Sky Sports, I believe...

King: People watching from all 50 states of the United States, remember.

Cole: Indeed, King. We have viewers all around Europe... France, Germany, Spain, Italy... you name it! Not to mention the members of the WWE Universe in Asia, South American and of course, our friends Down Under, in Australia, watching live! And we’d also like to say a massive hello to our armed forces in Iraq and around the world – Merry Christmas, guys and gals.

The bell chimes.

Roberts: The following contest is for the WWE United States Championship!

The crowd cheers for Carlito, who comes out, tossing his trademark apple up and down in his hand.

Roberts: Introducing first, the challenger... from the Caribbean, weighing in at 220 pounds... Carlito!

A big cheer goes up again, and Carlito begins to walk down the ramp, looking out at the crowd.

Cole: Well, Carlito returned to WWE programming five weeks ago, when he cost United States Champion the Miz his match with Evan Bourne, and ever since then, the pair have been firmly at each other’s throats, as we saw earlier.

King: There’s been some pretty crazy moments between the two so far, Michael – Carlito hit the Miz with a Backstabber on Carlito’s Cabana, and the Miz returned the favour with a shot to the back of Carlito’s head with the title belt last Monday on Raw! This is pretty heated, Michael, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the referee had to get involved on more than one occasion!

Carlito hands his apple to a fan at ringside, then trots up the steps, and sweeps his leg over the middle rope, before getting in the ring. He fluffs his afro a little, then turns to look at the stage, where the Champion is about to come out.

The crowd boos intensely, and the Miz arrives, looking as cocky as ever. Carlito stares him down from the ring with hate.

Roberts: And his opponent... from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 231 pounds... he is the current WWE United States Champion... the Miz!

More boos fall on the Miz, who simply welcomes them, and starts to walk down the ramp, in his ring gear, naturally, which is black and red tonight.

Cole: The Miz is cocky – he is arrogant, and he is brash. But there is no doubting, that the man can back it up.

King: I so wish I couldn’t agree with you, Michael, because, as a person, he sucks, but as a superstar in the WWE, he’s talented – I mean, you don’t become the United States Champion by luck!

The Miz gets in the ring, and looks at Carlito for a moment, before hoisting his title above his head with a smirk. The referee holds out a hand, asking for Miz to hand the title over, but the Chick Magnet is reluctant, and makes sure is Carlito is watching as he kisses the belt deliberately, before handing the belt over the referee. The man in the middle raises it into the air, and the United States Title graphic appears on the screen – the referee hands the title to ringside, then calls for the bell to start the match.

Match 4

The bell chimes, and both men wander into the middle of the ring, watching each other through narrowed eyes. And so, here we go, the two men who clearly have a bone to pick with each other – they’ve had their issues with one other over the past few weeks, and now they can finally settle it, with the United States Championship on the line. The crowd starts to chant Carlito’s name... and the pair lock up, trying to get the upper hand... and Carlito pushes the Miz to the mat! Miz rolls, and is up in a mere second, looking at Carlito in shock – the crowd cheers for Carlito, who smirks, and flexes his wrist a little, before moving in again. The Miz, cowardly as he is, backs into the corner, and puts his head between the middle and top ropes – the referee is obliged to tell Carlito to stay away, and the Caribbean superstar raises his arms innocently. The Chick Magnet slowly detaches himself from the ropes, still shaken from Carlito pushing him to the floor. Carlito raises an arm, and the Miz grabs it... then kicks the Caribbean superstar in the gut, and heads for the ropes, before coming back to hit Carlito with a nasty Dropkick to the side of the head! Miz rolls Carlito into a cover...

The Miz gets up, barely expecting to get the three count there, but nevertheless a little peeved after a fairly high-octane start. The self-proclaimed ‘Awesome One’ stomps hard on Carlito’s right knee, causing the Caribbean superstar to cry out, pained. Miz smirks, then does it again – Carlito cries out once more, and rolls away from the Miz, who frowns, and immediately charges towards the rising Carlito... but the Champion takes an elbow to the face, and he reels away! Both men take a quick breather, then move back into the centre of the ring... Miz immediately whips Carlito to the turnbuckle, and the Caribbean superstar connects hard with the corner... the United States Champion charges – AND LANDS A MASSIVE SWINGING CORNER CLOTHESLINE! The Miz flings Carlito to the floor, and, in his usual fashion, hangs over the middle rope, looking out at the crowd cockily. The crowd boos, but the Miz just laughs it off, and detaches himself from the ropes, before grabbing his challenger’s right leg, and flipping him into a Single Leg Boston Crab! The crowd boos, and Carlito’s eyes go wide in pain! The referee drops to a crouch, and asks ‘Lito if he wants to tap, but Carlito looks at him like he’s an idiot through the pain, and shakes his head ‘no’. Miz is clearly not attempting to win the match on this one, more trying to wear ‘Lito down... and it’s working. Carlito begins to strain towards the ropes, and the Miz moves backwards as his challenger starts to crawl towards the edge of the ring... but Miz pulls him back into the middle... and that’s the opening ‘Lito needs, as he spins on his back, breaking the hold! The Miz still has Carlito’s right leg in his grip, but the Caribbean superstar lashes out with his left boot, pushing the Awesome One away! Carlito gets up, and the Miz charges in, but Carlito takes him in his stride, and whirls him into a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker! The Miz cries out as he comes off Carlito’s knee, and ‘Lito will hook a leg...

Carlito gets up, determined to stay on offence. He bounces off the ropes, and connects with a big Dropkick to the chest of the seated Miz... and covers again... 1... 2... but the Chick Magnet kicks out again! Michael Cole reminds us that the title is on the line, because clearly we need telling, and Carlito pulls the Miz to his feet – before pulling the Awesome One to the mat with a sweet Arm Drag! The Miz sits up, eyes wide in pain and surprise. Carlito bounces off the ropes, and nails another thunderous Dropkick, this time to the back of Miz’s head! The Champion falls back to the mat, groaning in pain, and Carlito stands over him... before flipping upwards, and coming back down with a smooth Standing Moonsault! The crowd goes wild, and Cole cries ‘Vintage Carlito!’ before ‘Lito shoots the half...

Carlito slaps the mat in frustration, and stands, still looking determined to capture the title... the Miz gets up, shaking his head, dazed – and Carlito places his arm around the Miz’s shoulders... looking for the classic ‘Cool Shot’ Reverse STO from years gone by... but the Miz throws a desperate arm to the side, and grasps the top rope! Carlito doesn’t realise, and attempts the move... BUT HE CRASHES AND BURNS! The Miz stands above him, his cocky demeanour returning... and he drops a huge Leg Drop across the throat of the dazed Carlito, before hooking a leg... 1... 2... NO! The pair were still near the ropes, and Carlito put his leg on the bottom one! The Miz pulls Carlito to his feet, and drags him into the centre of the ring... he takes a step back, then flings a Discus Punch, but as he turns around for extra momentum, Carlito has time to react, and the Caribbean superstar ducks underneath the strike! Carlito then takes the fight to the Miz, nailing a few blows to the head, before stepping back, and propelling himself from the ropes... he throws a Clothesline, but the Miz ducks underneath it, lets Carlito come back off the other side’s ropes, then bends down, but Carlito retaliates with a massive boot to the Miz’s face! The Awesome One reels into a standing position, and Carlito twists his right arm... but the Miz boots him in the gut, and frees it, before grabbing Carlito’s left arm, and hooking it behind him in a Hammer Lock! Carlito manages to spin out quickly, and puts the Miz in a front facelock, but the Chick Magnet knees him in the gut, freeing himself, and the two stand across from each other, both frustrated after the numerous reversals!

The two seem pretty evenly-matched at the moment, and Carlito decides he needs to step it up... he charges at the Miz, ducking under a Clothesline, then athletically throws himself into a handstand, letting his legs bounce off the top rope, then rebounding to his feet, and nailing his patented Springing Back Elbow Smash to a surprised United States Champion! The Miz goes down, and Carlito will head up top for the first time in the match, scaling the turnbuckle... Miz rises, but he gets stunned by a picture-perfect Missile Dropkick to the chest from ‘Lito! The Caribbean superstar welcomes the cheers that follow, before dropping into a cover...

Both men get up, shaken, and Carlito nails some quick athletic strikes to the face, which the Miz sells well, before coming back with a massive Discus Punch, rattling Carlito! The Miz sees a chance, and goes back to his early tactics of targeting Carlito’s right knee, striking it with a nasty kick, before pulling him down with a surprise Small Package!

Both men jump to their feet, with Carlito shocked at the suddenness of the pin, but he soon returns the favour... the Miz sends him to the ropes, but he comes back quickly, ducks under a Clothesline again, before dragging the Miz to the floor with a Backslide Pin!

The Miz rolls out of the ring after the cover, blinking, and Carlito rests on his knees, looking up at the ceiling for a moment... before rolling from the ring too, and following the unaware Champion! The Miz is touching his forehead tenderly, obviously a bit pained by the happenings so far – but Carlito comes up from behind him, puts a hand on the back of his head, and hammers in into the ring apron! The crowd groans with the impact, and the Miz reels away, shaken like fruit in a blender – Carlito moves in again, but the Chick Magnet instinctively lashes out with a boot, causing Carlito to keel over... and the Miz grabs his wrist, before flinging ‘Lito into the steel ring steps! The crowd cries out, and Carlito crumples by the steps! A giant smirk on his face, the Miz rolls back into the ring, and rests, exhausted from the contest. The referee’s count reaches four... 5... 6... Carlito begins to stir, and those title hopes get him to all fours... 7... 8... 9... BUT CARLITO THROWS HIMSELF UNDER THE BOTTOM ROPE, KEEPING THE MATCH ALIVE!

The Miz, now on his feet, looks up at the heavens and throws his arms up in the air – what will it take? Carlito struggles to his feet, determined to keep fighting... and the Miz pulls him into the centre of the ring, and connects with a devastating DDT to the Caribbean superstar! The Miz smirks, and rolls Carlito into a cover... 1... 2... 3-NO! CARLITO KICKS OUT! Carlito just won’t let this one go, he’s determined to capture the title! Carlito sits up, blinking the cobwebs away, but the Miz stays on the offensive, applying a chin lock to his adversary... and it takes Carlito a good ten seconds to start doing something about it, punching the Miz in the face a couple of times, and eventually forcing the Awesome One to release the hold. The Miz reels backwards, away from Carlito, and shakes his head a little, before moving in again... but Carlito is up, and he tries to take the fight to the Miz with a quick boot to the gut, before he sets the Champion up for a basic Neckbreaker... but the Miz pushes him to the ropes, and when he returns... Carlito boots him in the gut again, and this time twists the arm with the Arm Wringer... before hopping up, and athletically locking in a Crucifix, bringing the Miz down into a pinning predicament... the crowd cheers...

Carlito hops to his feet, albeit slower than before, as the effects of the match are taking their toll on both men. The Miz uses the ropes to struggle to his feet, and Carlito grabs him, sending him to the opposite side with the Irish Whip... they meet in the middle, and Carlito sweeps up on to the Miz’s shoulders, throwing him across the ring with the Hurricanrana! The crowd roars for the move, but it took a lot out of Carlito, and both men are struggling to get back up... that’s what the ropes are for, and soon both competitors are up, and exchanging blows in the middle of the ring – Carlito is the first to miss the mark, and the Miz sends him to the corner, following up... but Carlito scales the turnbuckle, and backflips off the top... and ambitiously looks for the Backstabber on his way down... BUT THE MIZ GRABS THE TOP ROPES IN THE CORNER, AND CARLITO CRASHES AND BURNS ON THE MAT! The Miz looks down at Carlito with a smirk, then hops up to the second rope – and lands a big Knee Drop to the face of the Caribbean superstar! The Miz drags Carlito into the middle of the ring, and eagerly presses him to the mat...

The Miz groans, and gets back to his feet, the match still going... these two have given their all over ten minutes of high-octane, no-fear action, and now exhaustion seems to be setting in. The Miz crouches in the corner, watching Carlito try to come to terms with his surroundings... and the Chick Magnet rolls him towards the ropes, using them for leverage as he presses into Carlito’s right knee with his boot! The crowd boos, and Carlito cries out – the Miz, who’s been sporadically targeting the knee at different points in the match, gets scolded by the referee, who starts a speedy count... 1... 2... 3... 4... and the Miz emphatically gets off his opponent’s knee, but he turns around to give it another stomp for good measure. Carlito kneels by the ropes, wincing, and the Miz looks at him, his cocky attitude returning a little, as a smirk crosses his face... the Awesome One bounces off the opposite ropes, before charging over to Carlito... and nailing a Bootwash to the side of Carlito’s face! Carlito’s head goes over the second rope, and he rests there, totally dizzied from the impromptu move from the Miz! The United States Champion detaches himself from the ropes, leaving Carlito to suffer the effects, before wandering back into the middle of the ring, and raising his arms out at the crowd, who boo him. Carlito, ever so slowly, pulls himself to his feet, and warily looks at the Miz... the Caribbean superstar wobbles back into the centre of the ring... only to be floored by a big Clothesline from the Miz, who then falls on top of him-

The Miz gets up, frustrated... and he steps on Carlito’s afro with his boot! The crowd boos, and the referee immediately picks up on it, telling the Miz to get off, as Carlito yells out in pain on the mat... the Miz moves away slowly, smirking. He soon pulls Carlito back to his feet... and sets him up for the Skull-Crushing Finale... but Carlito comes to life, and so does the crowd, fully behind the Caribbean superstar, who fires some quick elbows to the head of the Miz, breaking free, before turning, kicking the Chick Magnet in the gut... AND DROPPING HIM WITH AN ABSOLUTELY HUGE FLOWING DDT! The crowd goes nuts for the fight shown by Carlito, but both men look totally down and out! The referee starts a count, as a couple of replays play of the monster move... 1... 2... 3... 4... 5... no movement... 6... 7... Carlito stirs... 8... and so does Miz... 9... and both men roll out of the ring! They’re on opposite sides, out of reach, but they soon scramble back in, desperate to take the fight to the other... they begin to get into a slug-fest, slowly exchanging heavy blows... but Carlito comes to life AGAIN, hammering the Miz with left and right hands, determined to take this match by the horns! He heads for the ropes... then drives both feet into the Miz’s head with a stunning Dropkick from nowhere! The fight in Carlito is fantastic, and the Caribbean superstar hooks a leg...

Carlito rises to his knees and looks to the ceiling, then out at the crowd – the exhaustion on his face is there for all to see, yet he just isn’t done. He picks the Miz up, and forces him to his feet... he whips him to the corner, and follows up, looking for the Corner Clothesline... but the Miz spins out from the corner – and immediately heads for the ropes, taking the initiative! As Carlito reels back from connecting with turnbuckle, he wobbles into the middle of the ring, unaware of the freight train coming his way... BOOM! KNEE TO THE HEAD... REALITY CHECK FROM THE MIZ! The crowd is silenced, and the Pepsi Center sits in shock – the Miz has pulled his finisher from nowhere! Carlito looks down and out on the mat, but the Miz isn’t finished, apparently... he slowly lifts Carlito to his feet, and manages to set him up with the Full Nelson... the crowd comes to life with boos, but they’ll just have to sit and watch as – THE SKULL-CRUSHING FINALE CONNECTS! The Miz struggles to pull Carlito on to his back for the cover...

3!!! IT’S ALL OVER!!!

The referee has to literally pull an exhausted Miz to his feet to hand him his title – eventually, he comes around, and realises what he’s done. As soon as that happens, he immediately goes back to his cocky self, raising the title above his head with a look of great satisfaction.

Cole: A big win for the Miz tonight, meaning that he retains his United States Championship – King, that was a gruelling one.

King: Sure was, Michael – both men gave their absolute all in the ring, but when it came down to it, the Miz was just a little bit better, Michael.

Cole: And with that, I can tell you that in just a few weeks, we will be seeing Evan Bourne, taking on the Miz, with the United States Championship on the line again – we’ll see if the Miz can pull out another big title defence.

We cut backstage, where a sleek, black SUV pulls into the car park. It comes to a smooth stop, and the door opens... it’s John Cena! The crowd roars for the WWE Champion, who stands, and looks out with a small smile, before putting his head into the car to thank the driver. He then leaves, shutting the door behind him, and starting down the corridor, the WWE Championship over his shoulder. Todd Grisham appears from nowhere with a mic, and walks alongside the Champ...

Grisham: Oh John! John, I was just wondering if I could get a few words...

Cena, still walking, cuts Grisham off.

Cena: Sorry, Todd... the time for talking is over. Now... it’s all about the action.

Grisham stops walking, and watches Cena leave. The crowd cheers, and clearly Cena means business! We cut back to the arena.

Cole: Wow! I don’t think John Cena is in the mood to mess around tonight!

King: He never is, Michael, especially when that title is on the line!

Cole: Well, we’ll see how that title defence goes later.

We cut backstage again, where Randy Orton is sitting in Legacy’s locker room – his reel of tape is totally used up, and the bin beside the Viper is filled with it. Naturally, boos greet Orton’s appearance. Giving up on taping his wrists, Orton flings the reel into the bin, and stands, deciding a walk will clear his head. He immediately walks into Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, who also get booed. Rhodes has his titles over his shoulders in a crossed-over ‘X’ fashion, whereas DiBiase just lets them hang from his shoulders. Orton crosses his arms.

Orton: Well... I suppose you two are pretty happy with yourselves...

Rhodes and DiBiase look at each other confidently.

Rhodes: So, Randy... I guess there’s something you, hm... wanna say, right?

Orton looks at their smug faces, and doesn’t look pleased.

Orton: Are you kidding me?

Rhodes and DiBiase look taken aback – Orton looks at them, furiously.

Orton: How dare you come here, and speak to me like that! That wasn’t a performance to remember! You didn’t impress me at all! You now think that you’re worthy of my respect? You just got that hack Batista to do the work for you!

The other members of Legacy frown, disappointed by Orton’s reaction.

Orton: I told you to make me respect you by doing something, by performing out of your skins in that match... but you just let me down. Sure... you won the damn titles... but you need to impress me. AND I WASN’T DAMN IMPRESSED!

Rhodes and DiBiase look at each other, disbelieving.

DiBiase: Randy-

Orton: NO, TED! How dare you two try to pretend that I owe you ANYTHING! I have a HUGE match coming up... I AM TRYING TO PREPARE FOR BEING LOCKED INSIDE A FRICKIN’ STEEL CAGE!

Orton is raging, and the crowd is booing.

Orton: So why don’t you get your heads out of your asses, and actually think about how you can actually make me respect you... cause bragging in my face while I’m preparing for my match, is not the damn way to do it!

Orton storms out, leaving DiBiase and Rhodes to stand where they are, shaking their heads in an infuriated disbelief. We cut back to ringside, where Cole and King are just as surprised as the young pair.

King: Wow.

Cole: Well, of course, Randy Orton is set to take on Kofi Kingston inside a Steel Cage later tonight, but right now, it’s time for a match that will truly redefine both competitors in our eyes forever. Let’s take a look, at the journey... of Jamie Noble.

A video package starts.

Jamie Noble holds a mic in his hand on Raw. Soft music plays in the background.

Noble: Hey.

Noble looks out at the arena, eyes wide.

Noble: I’m Jamie Noble.

The arena doesn’t care.

Noble: Sheamus... two weeks ago, you tried to end my career...

Black and white shots of Sheamus hammering Noble in that fateful match... the Powerbomb on the outside...

Noble: You nearly did.

The big kick to the outside... the Powerbomb again... Noble in the ring, skipping backwards in the promo.

Noble: Does anyone see me as a genuine threat?

Quick shots of Noble being pummelled over the years.

Noble: Does anybody see me as anything more than a joke to throw to the lions?

Noble in the ring, looking out, appealing to the crowd.

Noble: Tonight marks a new... tonight marks a new Jamie Noble.

Noble walking down the ramp, getting in the ring.

Noble: Sheamus... I want you, one-on-one...

Sheamus storming down the ramp.

Noble: I ain’t lion food. I’m Jamie Noble. I’ve had enough!

Noble and Sheamus battling it out in the ring. Michael Cole’s voice in the background...

Cole: Noble slips out of the Crucifix Powerbomb... ROLL UP FROM JAMIE NOBLE... One... Two... AND HE GETS THE THREE COUNT! OH MY GOD, JAMIE NOBLE HAS DONE IT!

Noble winning the match on Raw, shocking the world... into Noble in the ring, a mic in his hand.

Noble: When I did that... my career was put back on track. I’m a changed man. Y’all better believe that I won’t stop fighting until I do all of you proud! ‘Til I can say, hand on heart, that I am not lion food! Not no more!

The crowd roaring Noble’s name. Sheamus arrives... and the shot turns black and white, and heavy metal starts...

Sheamus: ...ya said you could beat me... Congratulations. Ya did. But that’s it. From now on, I’m going all out. Nothing else matters to me.

Sheamus hitting Noble with the Bicycle Kick...

Sheamus: That’s right, Noble! I am going to put ya and your career to bed at Armageddon, because there will be no rules, no restrictions, no... holds... barred. And ya know what, Noble? I will enjoy every second of that match, because I will enjoy teaching you, and everyone... that underdog, fairytale stories never have a happy ending...

Sheamus looking down at Noble on the mat, the shot still black and white.

Sheamus: Not when I’m involved.

Sheamus raises his arms... Noble is unconscious on the mat...

Sheamus: At Armageddon... I will end your fairytale... I will end your fantasy... and I will end your career.

The Celtic Warrior leaves... we cut to a sit-down interview with Noble, the music calming down...

Noble: I used to think, rightly, I guess... that I was a loser. That I’d never wrestle on pay-per-view. Hell, the fans probably never saw me winning a match again.

Noble puts a hand on his head.

Noble: But I did it. And now I have the support of those fans. I know that, I’m not the same person any more. I’m a new Jamie Noble. I can win at Armageddon. I don’t care what it takes. If it costs me my career...

Noble looks up.

Noble: If that match costs me my damn career, well, so be it.

Noble screaming out on the top turnbuckle, the fans yelling his name...

Noble: As long as everyone knows, that I gave my all. Every last piece of energy I have in my body will be gone before Sheamus presses me to the mat for three. I guarantee it.

Noble applying the Dragon Sleeper to Robbie McAllister... the Scotsman taps out...

Noble: It’s all for the fans, and it’s all to put on the greatest match of my career. If I go out, you can bet your ass it’s gonna be the biggest spectacle you’ll ever damn see...

Noble looks at Todd Grisham, his eyes aflame...

Noble: Count on it.

The shot comes to life, with quick shots between Noble and Sheamus, as fast paced music plays.

Sheamus: ...this Sunday, I will put the dog down.

Sheamus raises his arms, smirking.

Sheamus: And then... the pathetic career... of Jamie Noble... will be over.

The shot cuts back for one final time, to Jamie Noble in the ring, with a mic. The music stops, and he looks at the camera with the look he’s made famous over the last few weeks...

Noble: When I beat you, Sheamus, every last superstar in that, there, locker room – every last one – will look at me, and they’ll think... he ain’t lion food.

The emotion in Noble’s eyes is indescribable...

Noble: Not no more.

The package ends, and the bell chimes. Justin Roberts is in the ring.

Roberts: The following contest is set for one fall, and it is a No... Holds... Barred... match!

The crowd roars with excitement – the music of Sheamus hits, and the Celtic Warrior is greeted with pretty massive heat as he arrives, smirking.

Roberts: Introducing first... from Dublin, Ireland, weighing in at 272 pounds... the Celtic Warrior... Sheamus!

Cole: Well, the Celtic Warrior is one of the most fearsome superstars on the Raw roster, and I don’t envy Jamie Noble tonight one bit.

King: Sheamus promised us all that he would end Jamie Noble’s career in this No Holds Barred match, Michael! And the thing is... he’s allowed to! There’s no disqualifications, no count-outs, and no stoppages! Anything goes!

Sheamus wanders down the ramp, then gets in the ring, ready to take the fight to his smaller opponent. He takes his chain off, then tosses it to ringside. He raises his arms to the crowd, and lets out a monstrous roar, prompting a heap of boos to fall on him again.

But Sheamus’ music subsides... cover your ears! The reaction is immense inside the Pepsi Center... because Jamie Noble’s music has started, and the noise is deafening! Noble comes out, smiling like a madman, and the masses begin to chant his name – 25,000 people, and the millions around the world, about to watch Jamie Noble perform live on pay-per-view, for the first time in nearly two long years!

Roberts: And... his opponent! From Hanover, West Virginia, weighing in at 202 pounds... the Pit Bull... Jamie Noble!

Another massive cheer goes up, and Noble starts to storm down the ramp, never taking his eyes off Sheamus... he slaps the hands of the always eager fans at ringside, before stepping on to the apron, and gripping the top rope tightly. He glares at Sheamus, who returns the favour.

Cole: We are about to witness the most important match of Jamie Noble’s fourteen year career... the most important match of his five year stint with World Wrestling Entertainment... this is the day he finally stops being lion food. All he has to do is beat Sheamus, and prove that he is not to be trodden on – that he truly is a new man.

King: Jamie Noble said if went out tonight, he’d go out fighting, and he’d go out with the biggest spectacle the WWE Universe had ever seen! He said he’d give every last thing he had in his body before he let Sheamus press him to the mat for three – that’s how determined the Pit Bull is, Michael.

Noble swings his leg over the middle rope, and gets in the ring – he raises his fists, and Sheamus smirks. The referee beckons them both into the middle on the ring, checks they’re both ready to go, then flings his arm at the time-keeper, who rings the bell... here we go.

Match 5

Jamie Noble bounces on the balls of his feet, and stares down the smirking Celtic Warrior – the pair have a 70 pound weight difference, and Sheamus clearly knows it. The crowd gets behind the Pit Bull, chanting his name, and Noble closes his eyes for a moment, knowing that this is it. Now, he gets to prove that he isn’t lion food... it all comes down to this match. Noble opens his eyes, and begins to storm into the middle of the ring, where Sheamus is, too... The Celtic Warrior throws a huge right hand, but Noble ducks underneath it... AND COMES ALIVE, ELECTRIFYING THE IRISHMAN WITH RIGHT AND LEFT HANDS! Sheamus is taken aback, and the crowd roars as the Pit Bull lashes out with some huge blows, sending the Celtic Warrior reeling back! Sheamus falls away from Noble, totally rocked, and the Pit Bull jumps back, letting Sheamus feel the force of the blows... and he lets out a massive war cry! The crowd roars with him, and it’s a bright start from Noble! Sheamus shakes his head a little, and comes back into the middle of the ring, shaken. Noble lashes out with another big right hand to the face, but this time, Sheamus was prepared, and he takes it in his stride, before flinging a massive fist of his own... FLOORING NOBLE LIKE HE WAS BARELY EVEN THERE! The tenacious Pit Bull is immediately back up, staring at the Celtic Warrior with an intense expression of hate... the Irishman smirks, and puts his arms out, beckoning Noble to attack him again... Noble charges ferociously – BUT SHEAMUS STICKS UP A BOOT, FLATTENING NOBLE WHERE HE STANDS! Noble hits the mat hard, and Sheamus will cover...

Sheamus stands up, amused by Noble’s tenacity, gets back up, and gives Noble a hard boot to the gut as he does! Noble rolls across the ring, then gets back up, gritting his teeth – Sheamus moves in with his fists raised, and a big smile on his face... he fakes some punches then springs away, deliberately taunting the Pit Bull! The crowd boos, and Noble tilts his head, insulted. Sheamus moves in again, and grabs Noble’s wrist, sending him across the ring with the Irish Whip... Noble bounces off the ropes, and comes back – he ducks under the Clothesline attempt, and before Sheamus can turn round, Noble launches with a Low-Angle Dropkick to the back of the Irishman’s knee, and he falls to his knees! Noble looks to take advantage, heading for the ropes... before nailing another hard Dropkick to the side of Sheamus’ head! The Celtic Warrior falls on to his back, and Noble hits an Elbow Drop for good measure before he covers...

Noble is launched through the air, and he lands hard! Sheamus gets up, shaking the cobwebs away, and waits for Noble to get up... the Pit Bull rises, and rests on the turnbuckle, so Sheamus sees his chance, charging in... and nailing a huge Corner Clothesline! Noble falls to the floor, and Sheamus heads to the outside... before looking under the apron! The crowd boos, and Sheamus eventually finds a steel chair – but he took too long to find it, as Noble gets up, bounces off the ropes, and connects with a big Baseball Slide, causing the Celtic Warrior to drop the chair as he falls away! The impact of the move takes Noble from the ring, and he stands above Sheamus, wary... the Celtic Warrior pulls himself to his feet, helped by the barricade, but he gets put in a front facelock by Noble... trying for the DDT on to that steel chair on the floor... but Sheamus emphatically pushes Noble away – AND THE PIT BULL’S FACE CLATTERS OFF THE STEEL RING POST! Noble goes down as the crowd groans... count round one to Sheamus!

Noble looks like he’s in great pain on the floor, and he starts to crawl away from Sheamus... who picks up the steel chair, and heads after the crawling Pit Bull! The crowd roars for Noble to look out, and Sheamus smirks over him for a moment, enjoying himself, before swinging the chair downwards... but Noble desperately jumps out of the way instinctively! The chair connects with the floor, and Sheamus growls in frustration... but Noble is up, and he starts lashing out with those electrifying left and right hands of his! Sheamus takes a step back, still holding the chair, and swings again... BUT NOBLE DODGES IT AGAIN, AND WRENCHES THE CHAIR FROM THE IRISHMAN’S GRIP! The crowd cheers, and Noble ducks under a right hand... before lashing out with the deadly chair... WHICH CONNECTS WITH SHEAMUS’ FOREHEAD! The Celtic Warrior goes down, dazed, and the crowd goes wild! Round two to Noble! Sheamus looks totally out of it on the floor, his eyes unfocused, and Noble lets out a massive yell – he quickly high-fives a couple of the fans near him (they’re near the ramp)... before tossing the chair to the floor, and clambering on to the security barricade! Sheamus starts to struggle back up, touching his head in pain after the nasty chairshot... and Noble soars from the barricade, catching the Celtic Warrior with a massive Missile Dropkick to the chest! Sheamus crumbles again, and Noble’s athleticism is showing just how pumped up the Pit Bull is! Both men stay down while the replays play over and over...

Early in the match, both men have gone at it pretty intensely – Noble is the first to struggle back to his feet, resting on the barricade... he sees Sheamus getting up to his knees, so he tries to pull him up to his feet... but Sheamus grabs Noble by the throat, and furiously flings him to the floor! Noble collapses to the ground, but is up again, fuming – but Sheamus boots him in the gut, and hoists him up into an Oklahoma position... he lets out a massive yell, and Cole says, ‘Oh god, not on the outside...’ but that’s exactly what Sheamus is thinking... AND THE CELTIC WARRIOR DRIVES NOBLE INTO THE FLOOR WITH A BRUTAL POWERSLAM! The crowd groans at the impact, and Noble looks broken by the nasty move! Round three to the Irishman! Sheamus gets back up, and rests on the apron, looking down at the panting Pit Bull on the floor... he grabs Noble by the head, and flings him into the ring. He rolls under the bottom rope, and rolls the dazed Noble into a cover...

The crowd roars – after that massive Powerslam on the outside, how did Noble kick out? Sheamus rolls his eyes, and drops beside Noble’s body, saying under his breath, ‘There’s more to come, Noble...’ before getting back to his feet, and dragging the Pit Bull with him... he rocks Noble with a hard right hand, then tosses him from the ring! Noble clatters to the floor on the outside hard, and the crowd groans – the Pit Bull blinks a few times, and tries to struggle to his feet, but the Celtic Warrior does it for him, dragging him up by his head... before lifting the Pit Bull high with a Vertical Suplex Lift, keeping Noble up high... and heads for the ring steps! The crowd comes alive with boos and all sorts of noise, screaming at Sheamus, but the Celtic Warrior just smirks... he’s looking for a Vertical Suplex Powerslam on to the ring steps... this would be it for Noble... but the Pit Bull wriggles his legs, and gets down from the lift! The crowd breathes a sigh of relief, but Sheamus still has Noble in a Suplex position... and the Celtic Warrior transitions it into a Swinging Neckbreaker! The crowd groans again, and Noble spasms on the outside floor, pain rushing through him – Sheamus charges back to his feet, red in the face, and frustrated... he heads to the spare announce table... AND STARTS PULLING THE COVER OFF IT! The crowd boos, but the Irishman ignores them, tossing the monitors to the side... and then goes to pick up Noble, who looks in bad shape on the floor. He picks up the Pit Bull, and puts him in Crucifix Powerbomb position! The crowd erupts with boos again, and Cole says ‘Oh god no... I can’t watch...’ Sheamus looks to put Noble through the announce table... BUT NOBLE ESCAPES THE HOLD! Sheamus turns round, shocked... and Noble rocks him with a right hand! Sheamus crumples on to the table under the force of the punch... and Noble holds something in the air... BRASS KNUCKLES! NOBLE HAD THE BRASS KNUCKLES! THAT’S WHY SHEAMUS COLLAPSED UNDER THE PUNCH!

The Celtic Warrior is resting on the table, barely conscious... how did Noble get the brass knuckles? Replays show Noble on the floor as Sheamus was removing the table’s cover... and Noble reached under the ring, grabbing on to the brass knuckles, and putting them on his right hand! The crowd is going nuts as Noble breathes heavily, having taken some punishment over the last few minutes... he removes the brass knuckles, throws them to the side... before he rolls Sheamus fully on to the table! The crowd erupts with cheers, and Noble looks out, shocked at the reaction... he rolls back inside the ring, and scales the turnbuckle from the inside! COULD JAMIE NOBLE DO SOMETHING UNBELIEVABLE HERE? Noble stands on the top rope, and the crowd are roaring for him to do it... Sheamus’ eyes are closed... Noble takes a deep breath... then launches off..... AND PUTS SHEAMUS THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE WITH A MASSIVE DIVING ELBOW DROP! THE 25,000 STRONG CROWD GOES ABSOLUTELY NUTS, AND NOBLE AND SHEAMUS ARE LYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOTAL WRECKAGE OF THE ANNOUNCE TABLE!!! Panels are lying everywhere! The crowd begins to roar ‘NOBLE! NOBLE!’ but the Pit Bull sure as hell can’t hear them! Replays keep playing over and over, while Michael Cole might just explode from marking out so much!

After about twenty more seconds of neither man moving, it’s Noble who finally stirs, and starts to remove himself from the wreckage, crawling away from Sheamus, who looks in as bad condition as the Pit Bull now! Noble makes it a few yards, then collapses to the floor again. Sheamus finally starts to stir, and the Celtic Warrior slowly finds his way to all fours, looking at the panels lying around him in pain and surprise, before picking some of the smaller bits up, and tossing them to the side. Jamie Noble determinedly fights back to his feet, leaning against the ring apron for support – Sheamus leans against the still standing announce table, looking totally stunned. The pair simultaneously look to the other, and remember where they are – Sheamus takes a step towards Noble, but the Pit Bull rolls inside the ring, and stands without aid, shaking the cobwebs away, and standing tall. He tilts his head and beckons for the Celtic Warrior to come and fight – slowly, he does, rolling under the bottom rope, and the two begin to exchange fairly sluggish blows, still recovering from the table spot. Sheamus dodges a punch and sends Noble to the ropes... and the Pit Bull slides between Sheamus’ legs, pulling him down with the School Boy...

Sheamus, still lying on the mat, looks at the floor in shock, stunned at how drained he is after being put through the announce table. Noble, however, is pretty buoyant, and the Pit Bull slides from the ring, looks under the apron... and finds a trash can! The crowd cheers, and Noble looks ready to take some serious fight to Sheamus, tossing it inside the ring! Noble slides in after it, and picks it up again... BICYCLE KICK TO THE TRASH CAN IN FRONT OF NOBLE’S FACE! Noble goes down, unconscious, and the crowd groans with the impact, totally shocked! What just happened? Noble got in the ring, lifted up the trash can, then got a massive Bicycle Kick to the trash can from Sheamus, which hammered into Noble’s face! Sheamus collapsed after the move, and both he and Noble are practically knocked out on the mat, with the shining trash can crumpled in the corner. The Pit Bull has taken a nasty move to the face, the trash can crumpling under the Bicycle Kick, whereas Sheamus has been put through a damn announce table! Both men are now on their backs, not very far from one another in the centre of the ring – the crowd start to get behind Noble, but Sheamus is the first one to stir, and the Celtic Warrior drapes an arm over the barely conscious Pit Bull...

The Celtic Warrior moans out, frustrated... the crowd cheers for the tenacity of Noble, who kicked out... Sheamus struggles back to his feet, using the ropes, and shakes his head, trying to clear it... but the Pit Bull is getting up, too... Noble wanders into the middle of the ring, wobbling... AND SHEAMUS FIRES THE BICYCLE KICK FOR A SECOND TIME... but this time Noble dodges it, applies an inverted facelock... AND DROPS SHEAMUS TO HIS KNEES – IT’S THE DRAGON SLEEPER! NOBLE’S GOT THE DRAGON SLEEPER LOCKED IN! Sheamus immediately comes to life, roaring out in pain, and suddenly, Noble comes to life too, screaming for Sheamus to tap! But the Celtic Warrior refuses... SO NOBLE INTENSIFIES THE HOLD, BENDING SHEAMUS EVEN FURTHER BACKWARDS, THE PRESSURE ON HIS BACK AND NECK INCREASING!!! Sheamus roars in agony, and the referee drops to ask him if he wants to tap... but the Celtic Warrior angrily refuses! Noble screams with adrenaline, the 25,000 in attendance roaring along with him, begging for Sheamus to tap... but the Irishman refuses! HE WON’T TAP... LOW BLOW! The referee saw the elbow to Noble’s groin from the Celtic Warrior, but it’s No-DQ! Noble crumples, holding his family jewels, and Sheamus drops to all fours, clutching his neck in agony... and after enduring the pain for about 15 seconds, the Irishman rolls from the ring, and looks underneath... HE FINDS ANOTHER STEEL CHAIR! He picks it up, and looks to the ring... but Noble isn’t there... HE’S ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE! Noble soars off... AND CONNECTS WITH A BIG MISSILE DROPKICK TO THE CHAIR IN FRONT OF SHEAMUS’ FACE, KNOCKING THE IRISHMAN TO THE FLOOR!

The crowd goes nuts, and Sheamus falls to the outside floor, stunned! Noble lands pretty hard, but it’s worth it! Replays show over and over of the Pit Bull hitting the crazy move to the chair, hammering the steel into Sheamus’ face, and nearly knocking the Irishman’s lights out! Noble, lying on the floor, looks at the dented chair, then to Sheamus – and he struggles to his feet, before grabbing the chair! The crowd roars, and Noble grits his teeth, pure anger taking over... AND HE DRIVES THE CHAIR INTO THE GUT OF THE CELTIC WARRIOR! The crowd lets out a collective groan, and Noble growls like the Pit Bull he is... Sheamus yells out on the floor, but Noble ignores him... BEFORE LAYING THE CHAIR ACROSS SHEAMUS’ FACE! Noble looks down at Sheamus with a crazed look in his eye... before he pulls himself up on to the apron! The exhaustion on Noble’s face is plain to see, and the Pit Bull has to rest against the ropes for a moment, before taking a deep breath, and flying off the apron with a Leg Drop – NOBODY’S HOME!!! Sheamus rolls from the drop zone, the chair coming off his face, and Noble crashes and burns on the outside! The crowd groans, and the camera shows a young kid with his hands on his head, just as stunned as everyone else... Noble landed hard, and the Pit Bull’s face is against the floor, pain shooting across it. Sheamus pulls himself to his feet with the help of the ring ropes... and takes a brief rest, looking down at the Pit Bull, disgusted... before inspiration strikes!

Sheamus looks like he’s had a great idea – the Celtic Warrior tenderly walks over to Noble (both men are pretty beaten up) and tries to pull him to his feet, but he’s essentially dead weight, the missed Leg Drop having taken a lot out of him. Sheamus has to find a reserve bank of strength, and he pulls Noble to his feet... BEFORE PLACING HIM BETWEEN HIS LEGS! The crowd knows what’s coming here... Cole says ‘Oh my god... could we be in for shades of seven weeks ago?’ and we might just be... Sheamus pulls Noble up on to his shoulders – POWERBOMB POSITION... Sheamus begins the descent... BUT JAMIE NOBLE GRABS THE RING ROPES TO HIS RIGHT, AND SHEAMUS POWERBOMBS THIN AIR! The crowd goes nuts, and Sheamus doesn’t have a clue where Noble’s gone... HE’S ON THE APRON! Sheamus rises, looking around in confusion... and the Pit Bull flings himself from the apron, hitting a Lou Thesz Press!!! Sheamus collapses under the move, and Noble unleashes an absolute FIRESTORM of left and right hands! NOBLE IS FURIOUS THAT SHEAMUS TRIED TO REPEAT THE NEAR-CAREER-ENDER, AND HE’S TAKING IT OUT ON THE IRISHMAN! Noble just won’t stop hammering Sheamus with these hard punches, and the Celtic Warrior just has to shield himself and pray for his damn life, cause the Pit Bull has gone frickin’ crazy!

Noble bares his teeth, and slows down his blows, gradually hammering the Irishman with slow, powerful right hands... but Sheamus manages to push him off, and struggles away, pain coursing through his veins... but Noble still hasn’t calmed down from Sheamus attempting to hit the fateful Powerbomb again, and grabs the steel chair that he Dropkicked into Sheamus’ face earlier... Sheamus struggles up, and rests against the barricade, exhausted... AND NOBLE SWINGS THE CHAIR – NOBODY’S HOME! The chair crashes into the barricade and bends beyond use – how much force did Noble put in that? Sheamus rolls away from the chairshot, and looks up at the incensed Noble with an almost worried look... could the Pit Bull have Sheamus on the run? Noble tosses the useless chair to the side, then staggers after Sheamus... but he stops, and falls to a knee, as does Sheamus – both men are to their absolute limits here. Sheamus rolls back inside the ring, and rests on the mat, but Noble simply falls to a seated position by the barricade, and runs a weak hand over his sweaty face... but he remembers his vow to the fans, who start to chant his name, and Noble forces himself to his feet, and into the ring, where Sheamus is resting in the corner... the Pit Bull growls like the wild animal he is, then bares his teeth, and charges, the masses behind him... BUT SHEAMUS CRACKS HIM WITH THE TRASH CAN! The crowd, and Noble, had totally forgotten about the trash can from earlier, which Sheamus had picked up as he got in the ring! The replays play over and over of the brutal shot to the head... NOBLE IS BLEEDING!!!

The crowd groans, and Noble touches his forehead – blood is all over his forehead! Noble cries out, and collapses again, his forehead screaming... Sheamus rolls to the outside, and staggers awkwardly over to ringside – he pushes Justin Roberts off his chair, and folds it... he heads back to the ring, and crouches in the corner, taunting Noble... ‘C’MON NOBLE! IT’S TIME TO PUT THE DOG... DOWN!’ The crowd boos, and Noble struggles to his feet, blood dripping to the mat... Sheamus charges, looking for the chairshot... BUT NOBLE DUCKS UNDERNEATH IT... BEFORE KICKING SHEAMUS IN THE GUT... the chair falls to the mat... AND NOBLE LEAPS UP, DRILLING SHEAMUS’ HEAD INTO THE CHAIR WITH A MONSTROUS DDT... AND HE BUSTS SHEAMUS WIDE OPEN!!! THE PIT BULL TURNS ON THE STYLE!!! Sheamus rolls across the ring, spasming, and screaming out, and Noble’s eyes are wide, disbelieving what he just did... he falls to his back, looking up at the ceiling, the very energy drained from his body! But the crowd won’t let him forget his vow, and the bloody Jamie Noble lies there, 25,000 people screaming his name! The Pit Bull doesn’t move for a moment... BUT THEN HE STARTS TO PULL HIMSELF TO HIS FEET! The crowd roars for Noble, who looks down at the chair on the mat... BUT HE FALLS TO HIS KNEES! The arena cries out, but he pulls himself back up, muttering ‘C’mon, don’t fail me now...’ and panting the heaviest he probably has in his life... Sheamus is struggling up across the ring, straining to carry on, too... the referee looks between both bloody men, knowing he can’t stop the match – Noble takes a step back into the centre of the ring, chair now in hand, and Sheamus pulls himself up with the aid of the ropes... he takes the initiative, hurtling in with one last Bicycle Kick attempt... BUT NOBLE ALWAYS SAW IT COMING, AND HE DUCKS UNDERNEATH IT... BEFORE LEAPING THROUGH THE AIR, AND CRASHING THE CHAIR THROUGH THE CELTIC WARRIOR’S VERY FACE!!!

The crowd roars out, stunned, and both men collapse, Sheamus’ face a crimson red, and Noble with a similar predicament, though more streaky! Both men are down and out, the very energy gone from their veins – but Noble refuses to fail the fans, and he forces himself to move... the crowd roars, heartened by the sight of the bloody Noble moving... Sheamus is barely moving after the colossal chairshot to the face... the Pit Bull rolls from the ring, and staggers over to ringside, sporadically falling to his knees as they fail him! Noble looks for something at ringside... and he seems to find it! Noble grasps the small item in his hand, and we can’t see it yet... the Pit Bull struggles to get back to the ring, then manages to throw himself under the bottom rope, before hoisting the item high – IT’S SHEAMUS’ CHAIN! THE CROWD GOES NUTS, AND SHEAMUS PULLS HIMSELF TO ALL FOURS WITH THE LAST ENERGY HE HAS... and Noble staggers over to him... BEFORE LOCKING IN THE DRAGON SLEEPER, WITH THE CHAIN AROUND SHEAMUS’ NECK!

THE PEPSI CENTER IS ROCKING!!! Jamie Noble has his arm raised, but he falls to his knees again, totally exhausted and brutalised! Sheamus collapses to the mat, barely conscious, and Noble uses the last bit of energy he has to cry out with pure joy – BECAUSE JAMIE NOBLE HAS BEATEN THE CELTIC WARRIOR!

Cole: Would you listen to the noise in the Pepsi Center right now! What a match we just saw!

King: Oh my god, Michael, that was something else. Jamie Noble must be on top of the world right now!

Noble falls into the corner, resting his head back, and from nowhere, medics come rushing in, attending to Noble and Sheamus – the camera stays on Noble, who smiles through the pain, his victory the best medicine. The Pit Bull slowly closes his eyes, soaking up the roaring crowd, and his music rocking over the speakers.

Cole: But at what cost has that victory come? When I said before this match would redefine these competitors, I wasn’t quite prepared for this... both men are bleeding, and must be suffering some pretty intensive injuries after that – there were tables, chairs, brass knuckles, trash cans... you name it!

King: It was pretty intense, Michael – I just hope both men are ok... Sheamus is pretty much unconscious in there, and Noble’s barely still going!

As King speaks, Noble refuses to slip into unconsciousness, and lets the medics help him up... and he raises a victorious arm, getting a massive pop from the Denver masses... before he closes his eyes, and drifts off, blood still on his face. The medics bundle him on to a stretcher, and slowly lift both Sheamus and Noble from the ring on stretchers, the audience roaring Noble’s name. The medics remove them both, and we cut to ringside, so the cameras don’t show the blood being cleared up in the ring.

Cole: Well, after a brutal match like that, I’m hardly surprised to see both men being removed on stretchers, but it’s nevertheless shocking.

King: I know, Michael, it’s never good to see, but when Jamie Noble wakes up, at least he can say he pulled out the win of his career, huh?

Cole: Indeed he can, King – let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the spectacle we just saw...

A highlights-replay package plays, showing... Noble crashing into the ring post... Sheamus taking his first chairshot... then delivering a brutal Powerslam to Noble on the outside... Noble hitting Sheamus with the brass knuckles... then putting the Irishman through the announce table from the top rope... then Sheamus hitting the Bicycle Kick to Noble holding a trash can... then Noble locking in the Dragon Sleeper... Sheamus low blowing the Pit Bull... Noble connecting with a Missile Dropkick to the chair Sheamus was holding on the outside... Sheamus cracks Noble with the trash can... Noble hits a DDT on to the steel chair... Noble hits a destructive flying chairshot... Noble locks in the Dragon Sleeper, aided by Sheamus’ own chain... Sheamus taps out... Noble wins...

Kingston: Randy, you come out here, you try to intimidate me by telling everybody that you could beat me down – that you could break me.

Kingston getting in Orton’s face...

Kingston: Come Armageddon, when they shut that cage door – you gonna see a side of me you’ve never seen before. I’m gonna unleash something you’ll never have expected. You won’t be fighting me. You’ll be fighting a whole new Kofi Kingston.

Quick shots of Kofi hitting Trouble in Paradise to various superstars...

Kingston: What you’re gonna experience at Armageddon... it’s gonna be relentless. It’s gonna be brutal. It’s gonna be unstoppable.

Kofi taking various opponents down with his unique brand of offence... the top-rope Boom Drops to Orton from Survivor Series and the night after on Raw...

Kingston: Randy likes to think that because he’s been here longer, he can play me. He can end my dreams in that cage. But that’s not gonna happen. Nah, not to me. I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna take Randy Orton to the limit, for the good of the whole of the WWE Universe.

Kofi smiling as he talks to Todd Grisham... the shot quivers and breaks, leading back to Orton, coolly looking at Kingston, attempting to restrain his rage...

Orton: But when you’re on the mat at Armageddon, Kofi... I want you to remember, that it wasn’t my fault what happened to you... it wasn’t me who unleashed the Legend Killer... the side of me that will put you down...

Orton hitting the RKO again... then doing his pre-move taunts...

Orton: It was all... you.

‘You...’ echoes over and over, and the steel cage flickers in and out of shot, before eventually the shot sharply fades out, leaving us with just the picture of Orton and Kingston, teeth bared, just inches apart...

Cole: These two are gonna go at it in a Steel Cage! Oh my god, can you imagine the pent-up rage between these two... it’s all gonna go down... at Armageddon!

‘Armageddon’ echoes over and over, and soon, the shot of Kingston and Orton fades to black...

The video package ends, and we cut to the silent arena, where the cage has been fixed down. We don’t see Justin Roberts, who is announcing from ringside – as he speaks, the camera slowly sways around, giving us different shots of the cage.

Roberts: The following contest is a Steel Cage match!

The audience comes to life with a massive pop, and after a moment’s silence, the arena turns an eerie golden colour...

Orton slowly strides out, the whole arena booing him.

Roberts: Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds... Randy Orton!

More boos for the Legend Killer, who begins to walk down the ramp, deadly cool despite the events he’s been involved in already this evening, and the fact that this is a pivotal match for him.

Cole: The deadly and opportunistic Viper will be quite at home inside the Steel Cage, but might his mind be elsewhere after other events this evening?

King: Well, Michael, Orton’s been in this business for a long time now – he knows when to concentrate and how to keep his focus... that’ll be important tonight, cause we all know he wants to tear Kofi to pieces in front of the world in that cage!

Orton looks up at the cage, no emotion crossing his face, then moves towards it, and places a hand against the cold steel – he slides the hand down the chain surface, narrowing his eyes a little, then removes his hand, and wanders round the side of the cage, and steps on to the apron where the door is open, held by the referee. Orton looks out at the crowd for a moment, then steps into the ring, looking about the steel cage for the third time in his career. He turns towards the ramp to await his enemy...

The arena turns green, and the crowd pops big for the Ghanaian as he makes his way out, far from his smiley self. He stands on the ramp, bouncing on the balls of his feet a little, before unleashing the three bursts of pyro with his three hand slaps.

Roberts: And his opponent! From Ghana, West Africa, weighing in at 221 pounds... Kofi Kingston!

Kingston punches the air in front of him a little, gearing up for action, before beginning to spring down the ramp, never taking his eyes off the Legend Killer.

Cole: Well, the man you see before you said that when he was inside that cage, a whole new Kofi Kingston would be unleashed – we’ll see just how true that statement is in just a few moments...

King: Whatever happens, I don’t think Kofi Kingston will be the same after this one, Michael.

Kingston looks up at the imposing cage, then at Orton, before jogging round to the side of the ring. He throws his tracksuit top and bottoms into the crowd, then hops up on to the apron, now revealed in his ring gear. He looks out at the crowd from the apron, then sweeps a leg over the middle rope, and gets in the ring. The referee climbs in himself, and another referee on the outside closes the door and secures it. Kofi tests the ropes a little, then wanders into the middle of the ring, and stares down Orton with intense hatred... a look the Viper returns coldly. The referee calls for the bell...

Match 6

Before the bell even finishes chiming, Kofi is all over Orton, a ferocious look in his eye as he fires punches and kicks! Orton withstands the blows for a moment, stunned, then pushes Kofi away... the Ghanaian roars back again, throwing a Clothesline, but Orton ducks underneath it... and leaps up, connecting with a big Dropkick to Kofi’s chest! The Ghanaian goes down, shocked by the athletic move, and Orton seethes, wiping his fist across his mouth, shaken already by Kofi’s intense starting offence. Kofi warily gets back to his feet, and moves towards the Legend Killer, fists raised... but Orton grabs one of those fists, and flings Kingston to the turnbuckle – he then moves in slowly, and lashes out with a measured right hand to the head. Kofi reels a little, and Orton hits him again... and again, before lashing out over and over, punching Kingston in the corner until the Ghanaian falls to the floor! Orton looks down at his adversary, still seething... and then starts stomping mercilessly on to Kofi’s chest! The Ghanaian cries out, and Orton puts his hands on the top rope for extra power, before hammering Kofi’s chest with his boot again and again! The crowd boos, and Orton eventually moves away, leaving Kofi to suffer in the corner.

Kofi, panting, crawls from the corner, and lies on his back, stunned from the beating he just received. Orton smirks, and heads for the other side of the cage... and starts to climb up the side! The crowd comes to life, roaring for Kofi to stop him, but the Ghanaian is still recovering from Orton’s early beatdown! Orton scrambles up the steel, and stands on the top rope, grabbing the top part of the structure... but Kingston launches to his feet, and charges over there, pushing Orton straight into the cage! Orton hits the surface hard, and falls backwards, on to the mat! The crowd cheers, and Orton squirms on the mat, pain across his face! Kofi looks down at Orton, breathing heavily already... he takes the initiative, climbing up on to the turnbuckle... Orton struggles to his feet, and Kofi launches off – and he connects with a big Diving Crossbody to the Viper! Kofi rolls through into a cover...

Kofi springs back to his feet, prepared to fight on... Orton struggles to a vertical base – and Kofi grabs him, looking for the SOS... but Orton elbows Kofi in the back, and frees himself... before springing like a snake... Inverted Headlock Backbreaker connects from Orton! Kofi falls away from Orton, crying out in pain, and Orton drops to his knees, looking to Kingston with an expression of frustration, before getting back to his feet... and driving his boot to the abdomen of Kofi! The Ghanaian cries out, and Orton begins to circle him, lashing out with his boot to various parts of his opponent’s body! Cole mutters ‘Vintage Orton...’ and Orton goes further than usual, taking pleasure in every stomp to the man who’s been a thorn in his side so much recently. After about a eighth stomp, Kofi rolls away from Orton, desperate to break the cycle, and Orton looks over at him, bemused. Kofi grabs the ring ropes, and tries to pull himself to his feet... Orton moves in and grabs him, dragging him to the centre of the ring... but Kofi pushes him away, and the Viper rebounds from the ropes – before connecting with a big Falling Clothesline to Kingston! Kingston groans on the mat, knowing Orton is taking great pleasure in causing him pain... Kofi struggles back to his feet, even slower now, but Orton is there again, and the Viper locks up with his opponent... before sending him reeling away with a European Uppercut! Kofi falls away, clutching his face, and Orton charges in again... BUT KOFI SEES HIM COMING, AND FLINGS HIM INTO THE STEEL!!! The crowd roars with the impact, and Orton comes back from the steel, screeching in pain! Kofi falls to the floor, exhausted, and Orton lies face-down in absolute agony, clutching his face!

The crowd begins to chant Kofi’s name, and the Ghanaian starts to struggle to his feet... and grabs on to the ropes, pulling himself upwards! Kofi makes it back to a vertical base, and with Orton still down, barely moving, Kofi grabs on to the steel, and starts to climb! Kofi stands on the top rope, and starts to reach for the steel girder at the top... but Orton struggles back to his feet, tenderly touching his face – he sees Kofi, and immediately charges, clubbing the Ghanaian in the back! Kofi falls backwards a little, but he grabs the top girder, and doesn’t fall off! Orton climbs up to the second rope... and then the top one! The pair each have a hand on the steel girder... and exchange blows with the other! After about four punches each way, Orton looks wobbly... and Kofi grabs him, taking his hand off the top – AND HE PULLS ORTON TO THE MAT WITH A HUGE TOP-ROPE RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP!!! The crowd roars again, and Cole cries out! Kofi hits a devastating move, and he manages to drape an arm over Orton on impact...

Kofi cries out in frustration, and rolls across the ring on his back, coming to a halt about a metre from Orton, and forcing himself to rest. The crowd starts to roar Kofi’s name, but the Ghanaian is exhausted from the big move... Orton is looking no better, red in the face and breathing heavily, eyes barely open. Slowly, and I mean slowly, the pair begin to struggle to their feet – Kofi sees Orton, and puts his boot to the Viper’s gut, but Orton takes a step back, and rocks the Ghanaian with a big forearm. Kofi reels away, rebounds from the ropes... and Orton floors him with another Falling Clothesline, covering this time...

Orton gets up to his knees, then falls backwards on to his back, exhausted from the big moves we’ve seen already. The Viper struggles back up, then drops to all-fours! The crowd boos, and Orton regains himself, smacking one fist against the mat, then the other... he pumps his body up and down, his face coming alive again as he wakes up more, and he seethes, red in the face... Kofi gets up... RK-NO! Kofi pushes the Viper away, leaving him to crash and burn! Orton is up again like a snake, and he strikes with a European Uppercut, but Kofi reels back into the ropes, and comes back, whipping Orton to the turnbuckle... he charges in again, leaping up on to Orton’s shoulders, and firing with his patented right hands on the top! BUT WAIT! Orton blocks one of the blows, then staggers out of the corner, Kofi still on his shoulders... and drives the Ghanaian into the mat with a brutal Falling Powerbomb! The crowd groans with the impact, and Kofi looks broken! Orton bares his teeth, then crawls over Kofi’s body...

The crowd roars, and Orton looks in disbelief! The Viper gets up, running a hand over his head, then looks back at Kofi... the Ghanaian looks totally drained on the mat after the kickout, and Orton makes the decision to try for the escape... he heads for the corner, and uses the turnbuckle for a quicker ascent... he grabs the top girder, and starts to pull himself upwards... BUT KOFI KINGSTON STRUGGLES BACK TO HIS FEET, AND HURTLES TOWARDS THE CORNER! The crowd goes wild, and Kofi grabs on to Orton’s ankle, before pulling himself up on to the top turnbuckle... he pulls Orton back down, then rocks him with a right hand, dizzying the Legend Killer... then tries to climb up himself! The crowd roars, but Orton comes around again, and pulls Kofi back... the pair are exchanging blows from the top turnbuckle, in dangerous territory... ORTON SMASHES KOFI’S HEAD INTO THE STEEL! Kofi’s head reels from the steel surface... but he instinctively holds on to the cage, and doesn’t fall off! The crowd groans out, and all sorts of noise is about the arena... AND KOFI SMASHES ORTON’S HEAD INTO THE STEEL!!!

The crowd roars, and now Orton experiences the same pain as Kofi just did! Both men are reeling, teetering on the top rope, only the cage to keep them upright... Orton rocks the Ghanaian with a hard right hand... and Kofi nearly falls over, hanging by his fingers to the cage!!! Orton tries to pry Kofi’s very fingers from the cage wall, hate on his face... but Kofi comes swinging back, rocking Orton with a left handed punch! The Viper reels back himself, and Kofi uses the ropes to springboard upwards, grabbing the top girder! Kofi starts to pull himself upwards... but Orton jumps from the top rope, grabbing Kofi’s legs, and pulling him down to the mat! Both men land on their feet, and Kofi is the first to lash out with a big right hand... but Orton comes back with a boot to the gut... BEFORE HE FLINGS KOFI INTO THE STEEL WALL WITH EVERYTHING HE DAMN HAS!!! Kofi falls away, crying out in agony, and Orton drops to his knees, baring his teeth in exhaustion as he watches Kofi suffer... Kingston falls still in the centre of the ring, and Orton slowly drags himself over to the Ghanaian, rolling him into the cover...

Orton, disbelieving and enraged, anger rushing through his very soul, falls to all-fours again! The crowd roars out with boos, louder this time, and Orton begins to stalk Kofi for the second time in this match! The seething Viper bounces, ready to strike... Kofi struggles agonisingly to his feet, and Orton leaps like a snake for the R – K – NO! The Ghanaian once again pushes Orton away, denying the Viper! Orton leaps back to his feet, furious, but Kofi catches him in the gut, sets him up... and lands the SOS, in the pinning predicament!

Kofi springs back to his feet, dejected, but still willing to take the fight to the Viper, connecting with a sweet Dropkick as Orton gets to his feet... and covering again...

Kofi slaps the mat, and gets back up, checking his forehead for blood, still obviously smarting from various collisions with the cage... Orton gets up, and the pair stand across from each other, fuming. The hate between the two superstars is plain to see, and both men are tiring after lots of hard collisions and big moves... still, we’re still going, and we’re approaching ten minutes – Orton moves in, and slams his boot to the gut of Kingston, before whipping him to the turnbuckle... the Viper follows up, trying for the Corner Clothesline, but Kofi puts both feet in the air, connecting to Orton’s face! The Legend Killer reels away, and Kofi hoists himself on to the second rope... Orton turns around, and Kofi launches off... but Orton ducks under the Flying Clothesline attempt... only to be brought down with a Crucifix from behind!

Kofi rolls across the ring under the force of the kickout, but gets back to his feet aggressively... he strikes with a hard kick to Orton’s mid-section, then goes to repeat himself... but Orton grabs the leg, and puts his elbow to it, hard! Kofi reels away, pained, and when he comes back, Orton whips him to the turnbuckle... but the Ghanaian scales it, and starts making a break for leaving the cage! The crowd roars, and Orton is suddenly hot on Kofi’s heels, furious! Kofi leaps up to grab the top girder, and starts pulling himself up... but Orton grabs his ankle, and yanks him back down to the ut top rope! The crowd groans in disappointment, and Orton tries to get up to Kofi’s level... but the Ghanaian rocks him with a boot to the face, and springs from the rope, trying to swing Orton across the ring with a Hurricanrana... but Orton grabs the top rope, and Kofi crashes and burns! Orton shakes the cobwebs away... and gives Kofi a massive Double Axe Handle to the back of the head, knocking him to the mat! Orton rolls the Ghanaian into a cover, his opponent looking dazed...

Orton roars out at the crowd, who boo back, and Cole mentions the Viper’s foul temper... Orton takes a few steps back in the ring, preparing... the crowd comes alive with heat, knowing what’s coming! The whole arena is waiting, watching... Orton sets up in the corner, watching Kingston struggle up to all-fours... the Legend Killer charges in... looking for the infamous Punt... NOBODY’S HOME!!! ORTON PUNTS THIN AIR, AS KINGSTON ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!! Orton turns round, shocked... BOOM! TROUBLE IN PARADISE!!!

THE PEPSI CENTER EXPLODES!!! ORTON GOES DOWN, FLATTENED!!! But it took one hell of a lot out of Kofi, too, and suddenly, both men are down and out, totally unmoving! The replays show over and over of Kingston pulling his finisher out of absolutely nowhere, but can he capitalise? After a good 20 seconds of utter stillness between both men, Kofi stirs, and begins to struggle to the turnbuckle, pulling himself upwards... AND UP THE TURNBUCKLE... LOOKING TO ESCAPE THE CAGE!!! The crowd roars, sensing Kingston’s victory in sight... BUT ORTON COMES TO AS WELL, AND BEGINS TO STRUGGLE UP!!! Kingston reaches the top girder, and starts to pull himself over... HE’S SO CLOSE... the crowd is roaring for Kofi to pull it out, but he’s exhausted... and the Viper scrambles up the turnbuckle, grabbing Kofi’s legs!!! The crowd cries out, and Kingston starts kicking out, trying to get Orton off him... but the Viper... WON’T... LET... GO!!! The crowd is screaming, and Kingston turns round, sitting on the top girder! Kofi is in an extremely precarious position... and Orton lashes out with a right hand – KOFI WOBBLES! THE DROP IS HUGE BACK TO THE RING... and Orton hits him again... and Kofi drops a little, within reach of the eager and enraged Viper... WHO GRABS HIM, AND PULLS HIM INTO THE RING WITH AN ABSOLUTELY INSANE R – K – O FROM PAST THE TOP ROPE!!! The crowd sits, stunned, and no-one can believe what just happened!!! KOFI JUST GOT HIT WITH A FALLING RKO, THE LIKES OF WHICH NO-ONE HAS EVER SEEN!!! Orton and Kofi are broken messes on the mat – THEY’RE NOT MOVING!!!

After the replays play over and over, we cut back to the ring, where neither man is moving... we get a close-up on Kofi... WHO HAS BEEN BUSTED OPEN A LITTLE BY THE WICKED RKO!!! There’s a small cut on Kofi’s forehead, but it’s bleeding freely, Orton looks nearly as bad, surely with some cracked ribs after landing on his already damaged torso from the moves earlier... after what seems like a goddamn age – IT’S ORTON WHO STARTS TO MOVE FIRST!!! The Viper begins to crawl... TOWARDS THE DOOR!!! HE’S HEADED FOR THE DOOR!!! The crowd comes alive, roaring with animal intensity... the Legend Killer cries out for the door to open, and the referee on the outside opens it, before stepping away, making sure not to interfere... Orton nearly gets to the door, straining, his face with pain all over... BUT KOFI KINGSTON STIRS, AND SLOWLY CRAWLS AFTER THE VIPER... the Ghanaian’s hand brushes Orton’s ankle... AND HE GRABS IT!!!

Kingston tries to pull Orton back into the ring... BUT ORTON HAS HIS HANDS WRAPPED AROUND THE DOOR FRAME! The crowd is crying out with all sorts of noise, and Kingston yells out, trying to pull the Viper away from the door frame... both men are now pressed up against the cage, and Kofi has both hands on Orton’s ankle, straining, in between the ropes and the cage wall... Orton tries to pull himself through the door, but Kingston has a vice-like grip... it looks like we’re at a stalemate...

OH MY GOD!!! THE CROWD GOES INSANE WITH ALL SORTS OF NOISE, POPS AND HEAT ALIKE... AND LEGACY APPEAR ON THE STAGE!!! Orton and Kingston can’t afford to let their concentration slip, so they keep at the task at hand... BUT LEGACY START TO WALK DOWN THE RAMP!!! Rhodes and DiBiase have their titles, and they come and stand by the door, looking at the Legend Killer with neutral expressions! A quickly reddening Kingston, blood dripping from his forehead, looks at them for a second, just as clueless as us all... ORTON TAKES ONE HAND OFF THE DOORFRAME, AND HOLDS IT OUT TO LEGACY! The Viper starts yelling ‘Pull me out! PULL ME OUT, DAMMIT!’

Legacy look at each other... then move closer to the open cage door, raising their titles above their heads! Orton looks at them, still crying for them to pull him out, extreme pain across his face... and Rhodes yells at him ‘What about now, Randy, huh? Ya respect us now?’ Orton just keeps holding out his hand, expecting them to pull him free from the cage... DiBiase takes over, saying ‘You wanted us to show you how dangerous we are, Randy? HUH?’ but Orton just cries out ‘JUST PULL ME OUT!!!’ Legacy take a long look at the Viper in front of them, then glance at each other... AND DARKLY NOD!!! Rhodes holds out a hand, and Orton goes to grab it... BUT RHODES PULLS THE HAND AWAY... and DiBiase grabs the cage door-

THE CROWD GOES ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!! ORTON REELS BACK INTO THE RING, CLUTCHING HIS FACE IN TOTAL AGONY... Kingston gets to his feet in complete shock, watching Legacy leave, blank expressions on their faces!!! The camera shows Orton rolling over on to his back, barely conscious... TO SEE BLOOD ON HIS FOREHEAD!!! Legacy busted Orton wide open! Kingston looks down at Orton, and decides he’ll take what he’s been damn given! The Ghanaian wipes the blood from his face, then starts the agonising climb up the cage... BUT HE EVENTUALLY REACHES THE TOP, AND ORTON ISN’T MOVING!!! KINGSTON STANDS ON TOP OF THE CAGE, AND LOOKS DOWN AT HIS NEMESIS... THE CROWD IS ROARING!!! Kingston looks disbelieving down at the Viper, the Legend Killer on the mat, shaking his head... AND DECIDES HE ISN’T DONE!!! Kofi positions himself in line with Orton, and looks down, taking a deep breath... AFTER ALL WE’VE SEEN FROM THESE TWO, THE MOST HEATED RIVALRY WE’VE SEEN IN MONTHS, IT ALL COMES DOWN TO THIS!!!

Kingston takes a giant, deep breath... Cole suddenly realises, and starts muttering, ‘No... no!’... Kingston looks out at the crowd, and beckons them join in with him... he shuffles his shoulders, yells ‘BOOM...’ then shuffles his arms, and yells ‘BOOM...’ for a second time... BEFORE JUMPING OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE..... AND LANDING A 16-FOOT BOOM DROP TO RANDY ORTON!!!

THE CROWD GOES INTO ABSOLUTE RAPTURES!!! Kingston has done something absolutely insane! Kingston spasms throughout his entire body on impact as he lands the massive move, and rolls across the ring, crying out in pain... Orton rolls to his side, agony shooting through every vein in his body, his face a crimson red, his body a broken wreck... and Kofi scrambles across the ring... BEFORE GRABBING THE PRACTICALLY UNCONSCIOUS RANDY ORTON, AND HOOKING THE LEG...

3!!! KOFI’S DONE IT!!!

Kingston has his arm raised, and the crowd roars! Kingston can’t believe what he’s done, though the victory clearly feels tainted to him. Orton starts to stir a little, and he looks at the ramp, which has no sign of his Legacy cohorts, in shock and pain.

Cole: OH MY GOD! I am in total shock! What an intense match that was, King!

King: Yeah, Michael! We saw some insane stuff, like that Boom Drop off the top of the cage at the end there!

Cole: But the main talking point in that match-up... Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase slamming the cage door on Randy Orton’s face, causing him to bleed, as well as rendering him absolutely powerless to stop Kofi Kingston climbing up the cage. And if you just watch the highlights...

King: That’s the thing, Michael – they said that was their thing to prove themselves to Randy Orton as dangerous ring warriors! I don’t think that’ll do them any favours, Michael...

Cole: Well, after all Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton have been through, an intense finish to a massive, massive rivalry that these two men have had. What a way for it to finish. I’m just, in shock.

The camera cuts away from Kingston celebrating with a small smile in the ring to backstage, where Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase are walking, titles over their shoulders now – the crowd gives a massive mixed reaction, and from nowhere comes Todd Grisham with a mic. Rhodes and DiBiase barely acknowledge him, instead just walking on, blank expressions on their faces. Todd tries to hurry alongside them.

Grisham: Ted... Cody... gentlemen, you just cost Randy Orton the culmination match of one of his most heated rivalries ever-

Rhodes rips the mic from Grisham’s hand.

Rhodes: No comment.

He flings the mic to the side, and Grisham bends down to pick it up. When he stands again, Rhodes and DiBiase are a mile gone.

We cut back to ringside.

Cole: Wow.

King: I know, Michael – they’re clearly not in the mood for talking... maybe tomorrow night on Raw?

Cole: We’ll find out, King, but one thing’s for sure – Randy Orton will have something to say, even if his Legacy cohorts don’t.

We cut elsewhere backstage, where Shane McMahon is standing, in his office. A mild pop goes up for the Raw General Manager, who smiles at the camera.

McMahon: Hi guys. I’m Shane McMahon, as I’m sure you all know.

Another mild pop goes up.

McMahon: I just wanted to say a quick thank you for watching tonight, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the show. I’ll see you all tomorrow night on Raw – as for now, enjoy Raw’s Main Event for the evening. Thanks again.

McMahon fades from view. He needed to be in there somewhere, to be fair.

Anyway, to business. We see a split-screen – on one side is the reigning WWE Champion John Cena, and on the other is the All-American American, Jack Swagger. Both men are walking towards the ring, we assume – Cena looks calm and collected, his title hanging comfortably over his shoulder, and Swagger is looking quietly confident, limbering up his arms and shoulders as he walks. The All-American American smirks, and runs a hand through his hair, stopping for a moment to take in where he is and the significance of the match he’s about to take part in. After a moment, he begins walking again.

Cole: And we are fast approaching our Main Event tonight, ladies and gentlemen. Why don’t we have a look back on the rivalry which started five weeks ago, and culminates right here tonight – a rivalry revolving around the most prestigious in the business today... the WWE Championship.

A video package begins.

Jack Swagger interrupting Randy Orton and John Cena on Raw...

Swagger: Sorry to spoil the fun...

Cena and Orton turning to see the smirking All-American American...

Swagger: I just thought I’d come down here and remind you both... that last night at Survivor Series, it was I, the All-American American, Jack Swagger, who was the shining star.

Quick highlights of Jack Swagger dominating at Survivor Series...

Swagger: Need I remind you, I’m a two time All-American, and a former ECW Champion. I am simply the finest new talent available.

Swagger smirking... Swagger holding the ECW Championship...

Swagger: So, what I want, no... What I will get, is a WWE Title shot.

Shane McMahon on the TitanTron...

McMahon: Tonight, in the Main Event, we will decide the No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship.

The WWE Title, shimmering...

McMahon: Later tonight, Randy Orton...

The Viper shown...

McMahon: ...will face off against Jack Swagger...

To the All-American American...

McMahon: And the winner will face John Cena for the WWE Championship at Armageddon!

The Armageddon logo hits the screen... before we fade to the Main Event... Michael Cole’s voice...

The events described appear on-screen... Swagger having his arm raised by the referee as he escapes to the outside... we cut to a different scene, where Cena and Swagger are face-to-face...

Cena: Lemme tell you something, Jack, cause you need to understand. Jack, a few years ago, I was just like you. I’d just arrived in this business, I was young, I was brash, and I thought I was invincible.

Pictures of Cena from years gone by. We cut sharply back to the ring, where Swagger angrily replies...

Swagger: No, let me tell you something, Cena! You and I are nothing alike, we never were, we never will be! And you know... why?

Quick flashing shots of Swagger strutting about the place.

Swagger: It’s because I am a natural winner.

Swagger hitting a variety of people with the Gutwrench Powerbomb.

Swagger: I have been suppressed, held back, restrained, by idiotic guest hosts who like the status quo. They were too scared to give me my chance. They were afraid of me. Afraid of the talent I possess, the talent that no-one else on this planet possesses. But now, I’m free of restrictions. I was given my chance, and I took it. And now I’m No. 1 Contender to the WWE Championship. I’m so close. I’m nearly the Champion.

Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment to somebody.

Cena: You need a serious reality check, Jack. You can pretend you’re the real deal, you can say you’re the most talented person on the planet. You can strut around Raw because you’re the No. 1 Contender to the most prestigious title in the WWE. You can even get up in the face of the Champion himself, and tell him that you’re practically Champion already.

Cena locking in the STFU...

Cena: But there’s one thing you’ve forgotten... THE CHAMP IS HERE!

Cena raising the title high. The shot shatters away, and we’re left with Swagger, pacing in the ring as he talks.

Swagger: I am not to be underestimated. I’ve said this over and over... dammit, I am the real deal. Jack Swagger is the name of the next WWE Champion...

Swagger raising the WWE Title high after dealing with Cena on Raw...

Swagger: Tonight is just a formality. Armageddon’s the real deal. And I can’t wait for it. My glorious moment. When I finally cement my place as the greatest talent Raw has to offer, and cement my place... as W... W... E... Champion.

Swagger hitting Cena with the Gutwrench Powerbomb... Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment to Cody Rhodes directly in front of Swagger...

Cena: On Sunday, Jack, you officially make the step up to the big leagues! We play for keeps, son! But unfortunately for you, Jack... I have to put you in your place. ‘Cause as much as you might want to show the world that you’re the best there is...

Quick shots of Cena waving his hand in front of his face...

Cena: That title belongs to me. And this title does, too.

Cena slapping his title belt... Quick shots of Swagger and Cena, quickly interchanging, the music getting ever faster, until we have one final shot of Swagger standing above John Cena, holding the title high...

Cole: Is this the image we will see... at Armageddon?

The final video package of the night ends.

We cut back to the quiet arena. The bell rings.

Roberts: Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for tonight’s Main Event... This contest is scheduled for one fall – and it is for the W... W... E... Championship!

The crowd roars, but they soon turn to boos...

Jack Swagger comes out to pretty immense heat, and the All-American American smirks, soaking it in.

Roberts: Introducing first, the challenger... from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 260 pounds... the All-American American... Jack Swagger!

Cole: The biggest match of young Jack Swagger’s career so far – he’s a two-time All-American, and a former ECW Champion... and boy, does he like to remind us.

King: We all know just how much it would mean to him if he could add ‘WWE Champion’ to that resume, Michael.

Swagger begins to strut down the ramp, still smirking. He changes his entrance a little this time around – as he falls into his press-ups on the ramp, he gesticulates around his waist, signalling the title, before dropping effortlessly into some smooth press-ups, pyro exploding from the stage behind him. Swagger smoothly returns to his feet, smirking as the crowd continue to boo him. The All-American American starts to walk towards the steel steps, slowly walking up them, then sweeps into the ring. He gets up on to a couple of the turnbuckles one at a time, gesticulating around his waist again. He then hops off, and awaits the Champ.

John Cena’s music hits... AND THE OVATION IS STUNNING! The entire Pepsi Center erupts for the WWE Champion, who comes out, roaring too! The white spotlights accompanying Cena’s entrance flash about the arena, and Swagger bounces on the balls of his feet, preparing himself. Cena composes himself on the ramp, puts the hand to his head, and salutes the arena before beginning his charge down the ramp!

Roberts: And his opponent... from West Newbury, Massachusetts, weighing in at 240 pounds... he is the current WWE Champion... John Cena!

Cole: Well, you can certainly tell just how popular a Champion John Cena is by the massive reaction he’s just received – the fans are firmly behind him tonight.

King: They sure are, Michael – if Jack Swagger could pull out a big win tonight, I think everyone in this arena would be pretty shocked, but stranger things have happened!

Cena charges to the ring, title held in his left hand. He slides under the bottom rope, and immediately moves straight into the face of Swagger, who doesn’t move an inch. Cena changes the hand the title is in, and hoists it into the air – Swagger doesn’t dare let his eyes move from Cena’s. The referee comes in between the two, and asks for the belt – Cena takes a few steps back, turning away from Swagger, and uses both hands to raise the title above his head, a serious expression on his face. A massive roar goes up as the title does likewise, and Cena hands the title to the referee, satisfied. Cena begins to remove his shirt and cap as the referee lightly holds the title belt in the air – Swagger looks at it this time. The referee hands the belt to ringside, and calls for the bell – it chimes, and the match begins...

Main Event

Jack Swagger and John Cena limber up a little, looking at each other with serious expressions. The crowd begins to chant Cena’s name, and Swagger looks about the arena briefly, before smirking. Both men wander into the middle of the ring and begin to circle, looking at each other... looking for an opening. Swagger talks a little smack... ‘That’s a lotta fans you’re gonna disappoint tonight, Cena...’ but the Champ ignores him, and initiates the lock-up... the pair are evenly matched in strength, and neither man can gain an advantage. Swagger spins round behind Cena and grabs him – wary of the possible German Suplex, Cena swings out behind him... but the All-American American ducks it... and Cena manages to get him in a front facelock! Swagger pushes Cena away, though, and when the Champ comes back, the All-American American takes him in his stride, laying him out with a beautiful Belly-to-Belly Suplex! Swagger will cover, title on the line...

Swagger stands, looking down at Cena with a smirk – he raises his arms to the crowd, cocky as usual... he bends down and grabs Cena’s wrist, before pulling him to his feet... but Cena retaliates, swinging Swagger to the mat with a quick, effective Arm Drag! The crowd cheers wildly, and Swagger’s eyes are wide, shocked. Cena is on his feet, and Swagger warily pulls himself to a vertical base, too – Cena boots him in the gut, and hooks the leg... going for his Fisherman Suplex – but Swagger reverses it, and lifts Cena high above his head with the Vertical Suplex Lift! The crowd lets out a collective groan, in awe of Swagger’s strength, matching Cena’s... Swagger smirks for a moment, then takes on a serious expression – before he drops Cena into the Vertical Suplex! Cena hits the mat hard, and Swagger drags him into the centre of the ring a little before covering...

The crowd cheers, and Swagger gets up to his knees, looking at Cena with an annoyed expression. He stands, and waits for the WWE Champion to join him... he does, and Swagger will send him to the turnbuckle – Cena collides hard with the turnbuckle, and reels back into the centre of the ring, where Swagger is waiting to use the momentum... UNLEASHING A MASSIVE BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX ON CENA! The momentum as Cena came from the turnbuckle made the move even more brutal, and Cena lets out a big yell of pain... Swagger covers, the match firmly in his grip at the moment...

The crowd roars for Cena, who kicks out strongly, determined to keep the match alive. Swagger yanks the Champ back to his feet, and hoists him up into an Oklahoma position... the crowd boos, and Swagger looks like he’s preparing for a Running Powerslam – the All-American American runs... but Cena slips out of the hold, and when he turns around, Cena rocks him with a massive right hand, knocking him to the mat! Swagger springs up immediately, only to get hit with another big haymaker... the All-American American gets back up again, and Cena puts his arm under Swagger’s, before flinging him down with his Sitout Hip Toss! Swagger collides with the mat, crying out, and Cena will hook a leg with his first cover of his title defence...

Cena rolls from Swagger’s body a little and gets back to his feet, limbering his shoulders to try and shake off some of the force off some of the moves he’s been hit with... Swagger struggles back to his feet, and sees Cena – he lashes out with a boot, but Cena grabs it under his arm, and spins Swagger around! The All-American American stops himself, dazed, but Cena is running to the ropes as he composes himself... and the Champ lays Swagger out with his patented Running One-Handed Bulldog! The crowd goes wild, and Cena will cover...

Cena is undeterred by the kickout, and he rises, fists raised. Swagger gets up, albeit slower than Cena, and the Champ flings a right hand – Swagger blocks it, however, and comes back with one of his own, sending Cena reeling backwards – the WWE Champion turns around again... and Swagger sends him to the ropes! Cena rebounds off the ropes, and comes back... into a Big Boot from the All-American American! Cena goes down, clutching his face, and the crowd groans collectively – Swagger picks Cena straight back up, though, and delivers a big right hand, before lining him up... and connecting with a basic Suplex to the Champ! Swagger then rolls, and puts Cena in a headlock, trapping him in the centre of the ring! Cena groans in pain, and Swagger puts his amateur background to good use here, using his mat wrestling skills... he gets Cena’s shoulders on the canvas... 1... 2... but Cena hears the count and forces his shoulders back up, still in the headlock... the crowd start chanting Cena’s name, and Swagger yells for them all to ‘Shut up!’ but it inevitably spurs them on – Cena fires a few elbows to the gut of Swagger, but the All-American just tightens his grip, and Cena cries out, his head and neck screaming... Cena ignores the referee asking him if he’s done, and tries to struggle to his feet... but Swagger sees it coming, and flings him face-first into the mat! Cena hits the mat hard, and as he tries to get up, Swagger hits a Knee Drop to the back of Cena’s head, crushing it against the mat! The crowd boos, and Cena yells out in pain... but Swagger refuses to cover, instead dragging Cena to the bottom rope, and draping his neck over it! Swagger then presses Cena’s neck against the rope with his boot, and the crowd boos, Cena gasping for air! The referee angrily starts a count, and Swagger steps off at four... the All-American American smirks, stepping into the middle of the ring, waiting for Cena to get up – he struggles up, aided by the ropes, and clutching his neck... and Swagger grabs him from behind... BEFORE PLANTING HIM WITH A NASTY GERMAN SUPLEX! CENA’S HEAD CRASHES OFF THE MAT BRUTALLY! Swagger eagerly scrambles to cover Cena’s near-lifeless body...

Swagger is kicking himself! He puts his hands on his head – he would have had Cena! The Champ found the bottom rope with his hand, denying Swagger the victory! If Swagger had just thought it through more, he might be WWE Champion right now! The All-American American beats the mat in frustration, and drags Cena adjacent with the turnbuckle... the crowd knows what’s coming here – Swagger strides to the other side of the ring, ready to hammer Cena into the mat... he doesn’t smirk out at the crowd as usual, instead measuring Cena with a focused expression... before charging in, scaling the turnbuckle, and dropping the Corner Slingshot Splash... NOBODY’S HOME!!! The crowd roars – Cena rolled out the way, and Swagger falls flat on his face, as well as crashing his entire body into the mat! The crowd begins to chant Cena’s name again, and the Champ fights back to his feet, fire in his eyes... he’s about to take the fight to the All-American American! Swagger struggles back to his feet, clutching his ribs, and turns back into the centre of the ring... he gets flattened by a Flying Shoulder Block! Swagger gets back up immediately, only to be taken down by another... Cena is moving like a freight train, cannoning off the ropes to hit both moves! Swagger gets up, dazed, and throws a Clothesline, but Cena inevitably ducks it... and drops Swagger with his patented Spin-Out Side Slam Bomb! Cena stands, looking out at the crowd – the crowd roars, because Cena is taking this match back, by the horns! Cena’s hand shoots out, and the crowd roars out again! Cena bends down, and waves the infamous hand to Swagger’s face – the crowd yells ‘YOU CAN’T SEE ME!’ and Cena heads for the ropes... those classic theatrics... Five – Knuckle – Shuffle connects from Cena!

Swagger spasms on impact, and rolls away, clutching his face! Cena is up within seconds, roaring out at the crowd, with the whole arena chanting his name! Cena crouches in the corner, watching Swagger recover, and slowly get to his feet... Cena darts in... AND HOISTS SWAGGER ON TO HIS SHOULDERS... Cena roars out, but just as he’s about to pull the trigger, Swagger comes to life, unleashing a torrent of elbows to Cena’s head... and the All-American American drops from Cena’s shoulders! The crowd lets out a cry of disappointment, and Swagger suddenly grabs Cena from behind... ANOTHER DESTRUCTIVE GERMAN SUPLEX CONNECTS! Cena crashes into the mat, and Swagger gets up, smirking down at Cena – before he drags the Champ to his feet, and puts him in an Oklahoma position! The crowd boos as Swagger then moves Cena forward, almost in a Tombstone position... before the All-American charges for the corner, driving Cena into the turnbuckle with the Oklahoma Stampede! The crowd groans with the impact, and Swagger doesn’t let go, instead keeping a grip on Cena, and charging for the other corner, smashing Cena there with the Oklahoma Stampede, too! Swagger smirks and turns back to the rest of the ring... where he lays Cena out with a nasty Powerslam! Cena looks in bad shape on the floor, and Swagger drags him adjacent to the turnbuckle for a second time... he takes a few steps back, then tries again, hoping for a better result this time – CORNER SLINGSHOT SPLASH CONNECTS FROM SWAGGER!!! Cena is crushed beneath 260 pounds of All-American American, before being dragged into the centre of the ring, the ropes of no use to Cena as Swagger drapes himself over the WWE Champion...

Swagger can’t believe it! He’d pummelled Cena in that last period of action, and yet he’s still going! The All-American American sits on his knees, listening to the crowd chant the name of the man he’s really done a treat so far in this match... he pulls Cena to his feet, and sets up in Gutwrench position! The crowd cries out, but Cena comes to life, hammering Swagger with a hard right hand to the gut, and breaking free! Cena boots Swagger in the gut, then heads for the ropes! The Champ comes back, and flips over Swagger... THROWBACK! Swagger hits the mat hard, and Cena rolls him into a cover...

Cena gets back up, and takes Swagger with him, struggling a little as fatigue sets in... the Champ tries to send Swagger to the ropes, but the All-American American sets his feet, and sends Cena there himself... Cena comes back to see Swagger bending over, so he cracks him with a big kick to the face! Swagger reels back, comes off the ropes... and Cena takes him in his stride, pulling the All-American American on to his shoulders for a second time! The crowd roars, and Cena looks like he has Swagger this time – NO! SWAGGER ESCAPES AGAIN, AIDED BY HIS ELBOWS... Cena turns around, and gets a boot to the gut... Gutwrench position... but Cena spins out again, and as Swagger moves towards the Champ, Cena pulls him down with a Drop Toe Hold – the crowd roars – AND CENA LOCKS IN THE STFU!!!

The crowd goes crazy inside the Pepsi Center! Swagger yells out in pain – they’re in the centre of the ring! The referee drops to the mat, asking Swagger if he wants to tap, asking him if he wants to give Cena the match... but Swagger defiantly refuses! HE’S NOT GIVING UP! Swagger cries out in pain again, and Cena is roaring, screaming for Swagger to tap out... Swagger’s hand goes into the air! The whole arena is watching Swagger’s hand – will he tap... NO! Swagger brings the hand down to the mat, but he’s using it to struggle towards the ropes! The hold has defeated so many people over the years, but Swagger doesn’t want to join that list! The All-American American is crawling, inch by inch, to get to the ropes... Cena cries out with adrenaline, and pulls back on Swagger’s head even more! Swagger yells out in pain, but he keeps taking those inches towards the ropes... he stretches out... AND GRABS THE BOTTOM ROPE! The arena can’t believe it, and neither can John Cena! Cena is forced off Swagger by the referee’s count, and the Champ stands, looking down at Swagger with a stunned look! The WWE Champion is panting heavily – and Swagger looks totally drained! The All-American American rolls from the ring, checking his mouth with his hand, and Cena just stands, shocked that Swagger didn’t tap!

The Champ rolls from the ring, desperate to keep fighting. Swagger sees him coming, but not in time to block the big right hand from the WWE Champion – Swagger reels away, and Cena grabs him by the head, hammering him into the barricade! The referee yells at both men, and as Swagger reels to the floor in pain, Cena reluctantly rolls back into the ring... before rolling back out again, resetting the referee’s count! Cena picks up Swagger from the floor, and tries to hammer his head against the apron, but Swagger puts out his hands, stopping himself before he hits the apron – and he grabs Cena’s head, using both hands to fling it into the apron instead! Cena’s head cannons back off, and the crowd cries out, shocked – Swagger looks down at Cena, panting heavily... he picks the Champ back up as the count reaches five... and pushes him back into the ring, before getting back in himself... and rolling Cena to the middle of the ring, covering!

Swagger beats the mat in frustration and gets up, waiting. Both men look pretty tired, and Swagger blinks, still smarting from his collision with the barricade, and as Cena rises, Swagger charges in, connecting with a nasty Running Knee Lift! Cena reels from the move, staggering backwards, and Swagger sends the dazed Champion to the ropes... and sends him high into the air with a jaw-dropping Back Body Drop! Cena collides with the mat, yelling out, and he sits up for a moment, before falling on to his back, dazed. Swagger beats his chest a little in his usual fashion, trying to pump himself into a more awake state, exhausted after the arduous proceedings so far... Cena struggles to his feet, sporadically falling a little, clutching his back... and Swagger puts him in a Belly-to-Belly hold, looking for another of those devastating and draining Suplexes... but Cena shoves him away, and as Swagger comes back, the Champ lowers a shoulder, and Swagger is loaded on to his shoulders... AND CENA DOESN’T WASTE A SECOND, DROPPING SWAGGER IMMEDIATELY WITH THE ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!!! The Pepsi Center roars for Cena... BUT NEITHER MAN IS MOVING! CENA HASN’T THE ENERGY TO COVER!!!

The crowd is screaming for Cena to cover... but the Champ isn’t moving, and neither is Jack Swagger! Cena tilts his head up, remembering where he is, and slowly crawling towards the All-American American, who still hasn’t moved... Cena manages to drape an arm over Swagger’s chest for a cover... THE REFEREE DROPS TO THE MAT...

Cena took too long! The arena knows it, and so does the Champ! He couldn’t capitalise after he hit the crucial move, and Jack Swagger, though hurt, is still going! Cena just looks at his challenger, disbelieving... Cena grabs the ropes, and pulls himself to his feet – Swagger is beginning to stir, turning on to all-fours... SO CENA HEADS UP TOP! Swagger is struggling at a snail’s pace to get to his feet, and Cena clambers up the turnbuckle – Swagger is very conveniently placed... and Cena launches off the top, connecting with his Diving Leg Drop Bulldog to the All-American American! The crowd roars again, totally behind Cena, and the Champ is straight back on his feet, ready to strike again... Swagger is slowly struggling to his feet, and so Cena pulls him up himself... and sets up for that Fisherman Suplex he failed to hit earlier... but Swagger manages to reverse the hold AGAIN, and hoists Cena up a little, before falling back with a Flapjack... AND CENA’S NECK CRASHES AGAINST THE TOP ROPE! Swagger rolls away as he connects with the devastating move, and Cena reels back into the ring, clutching his neck in agony! Cena turns around... AND SWAGGER TARGETS THE NECK AGAIN WITH A BRUTAL CLOTHESLINE!!! Cena collapses, struggling to breathe, and Swagger falls to his knees beside Cena, exhausted... he’ll shoot the half...

Swagger gets up, infuriated – he pulls Cena up by his head, and the Champ lashes out with a right hand, sending Swagger away... the All-American American moves in again – Cena throws another big punch, but Swagger ducks this one... and drags Cena to the mat with a School Boy!

The crowd lets out a giant, collective sigh of relief, and Swagger springs away as Cena kicks out emphatically... but both men are up within seconds, desperate to take control... and they start hammering away, exchanging blows to the head! The crowd roars when Cena connects, but boo when Swagger does, but it’s Cena who takes control, striking hard to the side of Swagger’s head, and sending him reeling away! Swagger comes back, breathing heavily out of exhaustion... and Cena finally connects with that Fisherman Suplex! Swagger cries out as he hits the mat, and Cena scrambles into the cover...

Cena rests on an elbow on the mat, panting – he looks at Swagger, shaking his head – the crowd egg him on, and he starts to make his way up again... Swagger struggles up using the ropes, and Cena crouches in the corner! The crowd chants Cena’s name again, and Swagger wobbles into the middle of the ring – Cena tries to put him on his shoulders, but Swagger refuses to be lifted! The All-American American tries desperately not to go up there, clubbing Cena in the back, and pushing the Champ away from him! Cena moves in again, but Swagger boots him in the gut, and puts him between his legs... before lifting him high in the air, by no means with ease, exhaustion setting in again, but he eventually gets Cena in a basic Powerbomb position! Swagger wobbles towards the corner a little... THEN DRIVES CENA INTO THE TURNBUCKLE WITH THE POWERBOMB! Cena crunches into the turnbuckle, and he yells out in pain, before collapsing in the corner, surely with some broken ribs! The crowd groans out with the brutal impact, and Swagger drops to his knees, a small smirk crossing his face! The All-American American drags Cena’s body into the middle of the ring, covering... surely...

The crowd roars – Swagger can’t believe this! He kneels by a dizzy Cena, fatigue running through both men, and runs his hands over his head. The All-American American gets up, and yanks Cena with him... BUT CENA PULLS THE ROLL UP FROM NOWHERE!!!

Cena turns defence into offence in the blink of an eye, showing there’s fight still in him! Swagger looks in disbelief on the mat, stunned that he got taken to the mat so quickly. Both men struggle to their feet slowly, their very legs almost failing them, and Swagger throws a clothesline... Cena ducks it, however, and heads for the ropes... he charges with a Flying Shoulder Block – BUT SWAGGER STICKS OUT A KNEE, AND CENA CRUMPLES!!! The Champ collapses to the mat, clutching his ribs, and Swagger drags him back to his feet, fight and desire coming from the very depths of his being... boot to the gut from Swagger, and Cena keels over under the hard shot! Swagger puts Cena in the Gutwrench position... the crowd erupts with boos, crying for Cena to break out as he’s done previously... but he doesn’t, and Swagger rolls Cena upwards... AND THE ENTIRE PEPSI CENTER SITS IN ABSOLUTE SHOCK... AS JACK SWAGGER CONNECTS WITH THE MASSIVE, MATCH-ENDING, GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB!!! Swagger detaches himself from Cena’s legs, and realisation strikes... he hooks one of Cena’s lifeless legs, and the arena sits in shocked silence as the referee falls to the mat, and makes the count...

The bell rings! Swagger is handed his new title, and the referee hoists his hand into the air – Swagger looks down with quiet disbelief at the title in front of him, and the arena sits in a stunned, disbelieving silence! Swagger’s music starts playing, and Justin Roberts makes the announcement that we have a new WWE Champion... Swagger smirks suddenly, and raises the title into the air – the crowd suddenly comes to life, and within seconds the whole arena is booing Jack Swagger, who stands above John Cena, smirking! He’s done it!

Cole: Jack Swagger has stunned us all, King! He’s become the new WWE Champion! I don’t think I can believe this!

King: Neither can I, Michael! Great performances from both men, but... Jack Swagger has proven us all wrong, Michael! He did what he said he was going to do... he’s the new WWE Champion!

Highlights show of the decisive, match-ending moment, and then we cut to Jack Swagger once more, smirking as he stands on the top turnbuckle, the WWE Title sitting comfortably on his shoulder – the All-American American is battered, and bruised, and exhausted... but he is the WWE Champion. John Cena has since rolled to the outside, and he has his head in his hands, resting against the barricade, as the horrible realisation sets in.

Cole: And on that, massive, massive bombshell – that’s all the time we have! It’s been a spectacular event – we’ve seen titles change hands, blood spilled, and lines drawn! We’ve had shock and surprises, and for all the fallout, don’t forget to watch Monday Night Raw tomorrow night, live in Salt Lake City, Utah! Final words, King?

King: Wow, Michael. That’s all I can say. What a night.

Cole: It has been something else, King. Well, from myself, Michael Cole, and my broadcast partner, Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler, we have to wish you a very good night! Thanks for watching, WWE Armageddon!

Jack Swagger kissing the WWE Championship on the top turnbuckle is the last image we see, before the Armageddon end-of-show logo appears, and we fade... to... black.

Editor’s Note: And that’s that. I’m so pleased with that, really glad I could see that one through. I’ll take a little break before I get to Raw, just to let any feedback and whatnot roll in, and I’ll post the prediction contest results soon, too. Hope you enjoyed it, guys!

Ok, I think I finally got the formatting sorted, though it took me a good long age of re-formatting it all myself, so some italics may be missing - I'll try and edit those in later.

Re: Melvisboy's WWE: The Comeback

Armageddon Review (Finally I'm so anxious lets kick things off.

Opening Package: It had so much description I love the idea, however Taker being there I didn't like. He isn't featured in the PPV so why use him? I'm just saying beside that it was awesome.

US Battle Royal: Well my predictions were spot on right here. I'm actually surprised by how quick it went. Eight minutes seems really fast but there our plenty of more important matches on this card. Right now Bourne as new number one contender is fine with me.

Miz Promo: Miz really pwned Carlito. i thought Carlito would defend himself a bit but Miz just dominated him. The "ju" was a nice touch to Carlito's accent and I do like Miz refering to it in his speech.

Maryse vs. Melina: Really? A nine minute Divas match? Hmmm it was longer than the battle royal? Geeze I really think you might have too much faith in your diva's division. It was a great match but nine minutes is strectching it. More like six to seven minutes to me. Melina retaining sucks, but I'm sure this isn't the last of Maryse/Melina.

Jerishow promo: Strong words from Show, as Jericho seems worried about the brawl. I like the way you chracterized Show here. Standing up to Jericho which he never really did IRL when they were together.

Legacy promo: Strong promo from Orton to be honest. I didn't like the way he started off by just saying thank you but his speech afterwards was awesome. Honestly by the way you performed this scene, Rhodes/Dibiase loses then they cause Orton to lose in the steel cage. I really feel they are holding somthing back especially since Orton is trash talking to both of them.

4 Corner Tag Match: Alot of chaos at the end of the match. I'm not really a fan of Batista interfering in this match and then cleaning house. Maybe should of just taken out Show and Jericho then leave or if Show and Jericho was legal, have him attack then and bring someone over for the pin. Anyway wow Legacy wins. A complete shock to be honest. Can't wait to see what Randy has to say about this.

Swagger promo: Excellent promo. I loved it. Do I still think he has a chance to win? Not a shot in hell, but I really enjoyed this promo. It was spot on.

Miz vs. Carlito: Really a fan of the ending. He hasn't done the reality check in a while but I'm glad he did it in this match. Anyway really good match and the ending was pretty much sending a message to Bourne which is perfect fuel for their feud that is coming up. AWESOME THAT THE MIZ ONE!!!

Orton promo: I still mark my prediction from earlier. I love the no respect from Orton towards Rhodes and Dibiase. Really personafies his character perfectly.

Noble vs. Sheamus: The match of the night. The most anxious match I have been waiting for. Reading it I was enlightened alot. I enjoyed it alot. The video package to start was amazing. Some amazing spots with the elbow drop through the table. The Bicycle kick into garbage can to the head of Noble, and the ending was very creative. I am very happy Noble won after an incrediable match. I really enjoyed it. 5 STAR MATCH RATING MAN!!!! Sidenote: Michael Cole might explode from marking out so much one of those great lol moments.

Kofi vs. Orton: Amazing match again. Legacy turns on Orton was perfect, and Kofi landing the boom drop was awesome. Now I just wonder where everyone goes from here. Orton can bitch that it was unfair since Legacy turned on him and he was so close to winning, Kofi possible WWE Title chance, new favorite for the Rumble...... Orton v Legacy feud. So much oozes out from this match. I'm very intrigued to see where you take this dude. Great match again..... but in all honesty not dissing your ideas I am a bit angry by Orton losing, but I do like that you take that risk as Kofi seems to be in line for a great RTW.

Cena vs. Swagger: Well I love to outcome. One problem I felt like every other line there was a pin in this match. Too many pins if that is possible.... but I did like this match. I' actually surprised it only took one gutwrench powerbomb to put down Cena. Makes him look a bit weak if you ask me, but I guess you can argue that the knee to the ribs set all of it up. Anyway good match and I can't wait to see what is in store for Jack Swagger.

Overall: Wow finally that it is up, I have to say I really enjoyed it. I'm glad you were able to get to this point. I was a fan of pretty much all of it. Sure the Kofi win stings me a bit since I'm a huge Orton mark, but it is something different. The only thing I really did not like was Batista getting involved in the tag match. I felt you could of waited for a SD! episode to do some interference like that. Also Undertaker in the opening video package kind of confused me. Anyway my favorite match was Noble/Sheamus. That match plained out delivered big time. With that said I cannot wait for the next Raw.

Re: Melvisboy's WWE: The Comeback

Armageddon Review

Match 1 – Battle Royal: Good match to kick things off. Bourne winning I expected and was definitely the right person to choose to win here. Looks like he’s getting a push which I like. Let’s see if he can win the U.S. Title now.

Promo - Miz & Carlito: Pretty good promo by Miz. I feel like Carlito should’ve said more than one line, but then again Miz doesn’t exactly let anyone talk.

Match 2 – Diva’s Title – Melina vs. Maryse: Really good divas match. A lot of near falls which you don’t see a lot of in diva wrestling. Melina retains but now who’s going to be her next challenger? Will Maryse get a rematch?

Promo - Jericho & Big Show: Decent promo. I expected Jericho to complain more about the NYC Brawl other than potential lawsuits. Well at least it built tension between them and hyped up the Rumble match a bit.

Promo - Legacy: Some great tension building between Rhodes/DiBiase and Orton. Orton seems like he’s fed up with them but at the same time wants them to succeed just so he looks good. We’ll see what happens with them.

Match 3 – Tag Team Title Match: Wow things got crazy in this match. Batista comes out and just went on a rampage. I like it but I think he was a little too strong being able to take out three teams. That’s a little much. I was really expecting Big Show punching Jericho to end the match. But Legacy wins which is fine and JeriShow is completely over now.

Promo – Swagger: Good interview. I like Swagger having a “I’ll show you” attitude. It works since he’s clearly the underdog.

Match 4 – U.S. Title – Miz vs. Carlito: This was a good match. I liked Miz delivering more punishment with the Skull Crushing Finale even though Carlito looked out. Miz winning was kinda obvious and now we look forward to Miz vs. Bourne.

Promo – Legacy: Orton reacted the right way I think. Rhodes and DiBiase picked up the win because of Batista, which isn’t very impressive.

Match 5 – Sheamus vs. Noble: Wow what a brutal match. Noble put up much more of a fight than I thought. Personally I don’t like Noble winning. I don’t believe Noble could beat a guy like Sheamus but then again he did use a bunch of weapons so I guess that’s ok. It might also be because I like Sheamus, but whatever.

Match 6 – Steel Cage Match – Kofi vs. Orton: This was great, especially the ending. The way Rhodes & DiBiase turned on Orton was perfect. Kofi going for a moment for the fans to remember at the end was great too. Kinda like something Jeff Hardy or RVD do. Good to see Kofi is getting a push and the Legacy feud officially begins.

Main Event – Wow! Swagger wins the WWE Title! I’m shocked! Yet I really like it. I really like Swagger so it’s good to see him with gold. The match was really good too. Let’s see how well his reign goes being so close to the Road To WrestleMania. I wonder if you’ll make him go into WM as the champion? That’d be a huge push.

Re: Melvisboy's WWE: The Comeback

Armageddon Feedback

Before I get into anything, I'm reviewing as I go through the show.

I didn’t really get the video package at the beginning, why was Taker in it if he’s a SmackDown star. I get that he’s a really good type of character for the name of the PPV but I just found that weird.

The Battle Royal is a good choice to open the show, imo. Battle Royal’s for the most part, always get the crowd going. Chris Masters eliminated first is interesting to me, as I thought he would be in there last with Bourne. I know you said you weren’t leading up to a Bourne/Masters feud but it seems that you are with everything that has been going on between them. I’ve always thought that Bourne could be a good U.S Champion, so him getting the opportunity should make for a great feud with whomever wins the US Championship match. Nice opener to the show.

The backstage segment with Lito’ and Miz was alright. I liked what Miz had to say for the most part, the only thing I didn’t like was, I felt Carlito should have said more. Just to counter what Miz had said. Good little bit of hype towards the match later.

One thing I’ve noticed, is how much detail you put into your entrances, really like that. Anyways, back to the match, so the Diva’s match is next. Wow, nine minutes for a divas match? Can’t say I’m surprised, especially with it being a one branded PPV. I was pulling for Maryse to win, nonetheless, a good divas match for what is was.

TBH, I’ve never seen an NYC Brawl, I’ll have to check some stuff out about it. Anyways, one thing I noticed about this segment, was more hype was given to the World title match at the Rumble than the Tag Team match tonight, although the World title is a bigger Championship, I would have liked to have seen more hype to a match that was taking place tonight, instead of a match that wasn’t. I do think that either Show or Jericho will walk out on the tag match later.

Not a bad segment between Legacy, Orton was good here. The tension between Legacy has been mounting for a while so I believe they will break up soon.

Tag match up next. Good tag team match among the four teams. I’ve not been following SmackDown much so Batista interrupting, I’m guessing he’s in the World Title match against Show, Jericho. I’d rather Batista just come in and attack the person he was targeting, not other wrestlers. Anyways, that was a good way to get the titles of Jericho and Show without making them look weak.

Really nice interview by Swagger, done a good job of hyping up the main event. I still don’t think he’ll win though.

Nice mid-card match up between Miz/Lito here. Not seen the Reality Check used in awhile, so it was nice reading it being used here. Good way of showing Miz’s aggressive streak with him inflicting more damage on Lito before pinning him. Miz Vs Bourne sounds good.

Cena’s a bit late isn’t he . Not much to say ‘bout this segment.

Orton still being displeased with Legacy after winning the Tag Team titles was strange. I mean they done what he wanted them to do. I guess you explained it well with DiBiase and Rhodes having to impress Orton. Nice seg which again, shows the tension between Legacy.

I’m a fan of video packages that are written out like this, so good job on the vid. Brutal match between these two. Both men starting to bleed? Interesting in this PG era. Did not expect Jamie Noble to win, I really expected and wanted Sheamus to win. The match going for almost twenty minutes was a bit much.

Another good video package from you. This is the match I was really looking forward to reading tbh. Another brutal match, would have liked a little bit of a breathier in between the no holds barred and the cage tbh, I get the feeling that the crowd may have been burnt out by this point. Nice way for Legacy to turn on Orton and I really loved the ending, Kingston doing something like this reminded me off something Jeff Hardy would do. Looking forward to see what Kingston does after this.

Here we go the main event, personally with the ending that the steel cage had, I’d have liked to see that end the show. I agree with RatedRKO that there was a bit too much pinfalls at the start. So Swagger is the WWE Champion? I don’t really know what to think about this yet, you did a good job of building him up but with being so close to the road to wrestlemania, I don’t know what to think of it. I’ll withhold my judgement until I see his reign.

Overall, I thought this show was good, a nice PPV that set up some stuff, like Orton/Legacy, Bourne/Miz etc. Good job with the PPV and I’m looking forward to RAW to see the fallout.

Re: Melvisboy's WWE: The Comeback

Sorry about the delays but on with the show.

I tend to agree with the comments above about Undertaker's involvement. I know he fits with the PPV being about the end of the world but he's not a Raw Star.

Quite surprised that Bourne emerged victorious, was expecting the "Whoever gets the advantage on TV loses on PPV" rule to come into play so I went with Masters with prediction. Even more surprised that Masters was the first to go.

Divas match was excellent. Surprised there was no botches lol.

Not surprised at all that Jericho and Show lost the Tag Titles as they have broken up but just so happens to hold the Tag Titles. Batista's interference was done well and I can see him to tear up a match like that. Nice victory for Legacy who won the tag titles in opportunistic fashion.

I supposed with Bourne winning the battle royale, it simply means that Miz would retain the US Title. A Miz/Bourne feud would be good.

I have to say that my favorite part of this thread is seeing Jamie Noble being built up the way you're building him up. It's awesome to see him go over Sheamus in this brutal match. My only criticism: they both bled at the end and within moments of each other. You should've spread the interval between bleedings out and have someone bleed maybe about 6-7 mins in.

Have trouble deciding between Orton/Kingston or Noble/Sheamus at the best match. Noble/Sheamus was brutal but Orton/Kingston is non-stop action. I didn't expect Legacy to turn on Orton.

Noooo!!! Swagger as the Champion?! This is what I didn't want (not a big Swagger fan I'm afraid). Still, I loved the ending (the kickout from the Attitude Adjustment onward). Very brutal Powerbomb into the turnbuckle.

For a one-brand PPV, this is excellent. You've certainly outdone the WWE who'd spend time on only half the card and then throw the other half together in the last week. Match times are all good, I probably would have one of the last three matches going past the 20 minute mark and the tag matches go a little longer.

Well done to both of you. I’ll start sending out the prizes soon. Good to see I made this one hard to predict, nobody got more than half.

I got a tonne of predictions from a varying alumni of previous reviewers and friends and whatnot, a great turnout, so thank you, guys, thanks a lot. I do wonder what’s happened to JayLive59 though...

I’d also like to thank everybody who left me any form of feedback, good or bad. Whether through a post in this thread or giving a quick opinion through rep, I really appreciate it. I won’t go through it all, though I will mention that I 100% agree with all the comments about Taker, it was a very borderline, last minute thing. As I say, I won’t run through it and explain it all, because frankly, it’s just not worth it – instead, I’ll just take in what you’ve said, and I’ll use it to improve, as feedback was intended to be used.

Anyway, I can’t name everyone who did leave some sort of said feedback, because actually, it’s quite a long list. Very pleasing, and I hope I can keep this going, the quality ever increasing along the way!

Thanks again, guys. Raw preview should be up in a few days, but I’m not rushing, tbh, I'm kinda busy, and the BTB is more at the back of my mind. That's not to say I'm stopping or anything () but I will just take a short, post-PPV break while I slowly work on Raw. Rumble planning is pretty much finished, tbh. Last minute inspiration strikes, there will be changes - otherwise... it's set.

SmackDown on Friday will be IN FULL. With the Rumble being a Tri-Branded PPV, all three brands need full and comprehensive build-up. Hence, I'll now be writing all three shows, in full. Could well mean Rumble may take a while. Ah well, quality over... speed.

EDIT: Oh, and for the record, I'll do a big first post update in a couple of days, make sure everything is up to speed, add a link for Armageddon to the PPV bit, change the Champions, and whatnot.
