Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE

April 1st 2008 Hey there! Welcome to the SUNSHINE Blog; your one stop shop for all the official announcements relating to Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE!

Let me start by introducing myself. Iím Alicia Crawford, the spokesperson for the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Board of Directors. Any decisions made by the people in charge of this brand spanking new promotion will be announced through me; and any requests by any of the talent will be relayed to those in charge by me. Iíll be the one announcing upcoming shows and their venues, who is competing in what matches, any signings that we have made, anybody that has left the SUNSHINE fold and everything in between. Iíll be at every live show making sure everyone behaves and stays within the rules of the company.

And tonight, I start with the first of such announcements.

May 25th 2008, Eustis, Florida... Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE will kick-off with our debut show ďFlashing Lights.Ē Thatís less than seven weeks away so luckily, tickets are already on sale right here and from the arena box office. Donít be fooled into thinking that tickets wonít go fast. We have confirmed some of the top talents in North American independent wrestling; and once those names started filtering out, I can guarantee we will be looking at a sell-out for a first show.

And if the promise of top quality talent and the chance to see the birth of a future top-draw wrestling promotion wasnít enough to get you to part with your cash; the night will also see the eight first round matches in the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship tournament. Thatís eight matches with the winners all advancing towards becoming the first Champion of our upstart promotion.

So go... Iíve gone on too much. Go get your tickets and then check back in a few days for more SUNSHINE news!

Alicia out xxx xxx

Re: Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE

April 5th 2008 ROUND ONE - FIGHT! Just four days after the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Board of Directors allowed the official announcement of their new promotion, they have confirmed the first two entrants in the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship tournament and subsequently, the line-up for the first of eight first round matches to be fought on May 25th in Eustis, Florida.

The showdown will see former WWE and TNA superstar Shannon Moore taking on one of European’s hottest prospects Drew Galloway. Moore, a decorated Champion in a multitude of companies, is easily the more experienced of the two men and will be keen to be the first man getting his hands on the shiny Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship. Of course, he’ll need to get through a man that has potential oozing out of every pore. “The Highlander” Drew Galloway is widely tipped to become the most successful Scottish wrestler of all-time, and scoring victory in this inaugural tournament at just 26 will get him off to the right start.

Can Shannon Moore overcome the spirited youngster? Will Drew Galloway take the biggest of steps towards fulfilling his massive potential? The only way to find out is simple - you need to be there live and in person!

April 8th 2008 Despite his profile appearing on the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE website, Taiji Ishimori has confirmed by way of his MySpace calendar that he will continue to tour with Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan and miss the debut Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE show.

April 10th 2008 Two matches confirmed and two former WWE superstars limbering up! That’s right, you glorious members of the SUNSHINE band! We’ve just been handed confirmation of the second match in the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship tournament; and it features another big name from the WWE stepping into the SUNSHINE on Sunday May 25th in Eustis, Florida.

Big, burly Mike Knox will grace Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE with his impressive presence come our debut show though if he is to progress to the quarter finals, he will need to best the finest student to ever walk out of the well-known CHIKARA Wrestle Factory. Hallowicked has been long regarded as Mike Quackenbush’s greatest graduate and he will need to be at his best if he is to continue on the road to the glistening Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship.

Will the Dark Minion of the Underworld upset the odds? Can Mike Knox lay down a big marker? The best way to find out is watch Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE live and in person, Sunday May 25th.

Re: Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE

April 12th 2008 While there are no household names in the third match confirmed for the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship tournament, which kicks off on September 25th in Eustice, Florida; don't be fooled into thinking that it does not contain wrestlers capable of ultimately walking away as the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Champion.

On one side of the ring is a man that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with Dave Finlay and Rebecca Knox as one of the finest Irish-born wrestlers ever, Sheamus Farrelly. Having decorated himself with a host of titles he won in his native Ireland and continental Europe, Sheamus was brought to America by the WWE in 2006 where he has continued to hone his skills. Standing opposite him will be the NWA trained, East Coast regular, Jimmy Olsen. A rising star in a number of promotions up and down America, Olsen has trained under some of the fan-dabi-dozi names in independent wrestling and will be keen to mark the SUNSHINE debut show with victory.

Will Jimmy Olsen be able to prove his independent wrestling education was more useful than Sheamus' all-WWE learning? Can Farrelly make a big statement in his first real exposure on the American wrestling scene? The only way to find out is simple - you need to be there live and in person at the first Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE show, Flashing Lights!

April 15th 2008 Heeding all of the SUNSHINE band members' calls for another big name to be announced for the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Championship Tournament on May 25th in Eustice, Florida; the SUNSHINE Board of Directors have confirmed today that a man from one of the fan-dabi-dozi American wrestling families will be competing for the Gold.

"The New American Dream" Cody Runnels, son of the fan-dabi-dozi Dusty Rhodes and former World Tag Team Champion, will be in Eustice on May 25th to take on Pelle Primeau for a place in the last eight of the SUNSHINE Championship tournament. Runnels, a former amateur state wrestling Champion, is packed full of potential and will be incredibly keen to make the first name on the Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE Champions Roll-Call instantly recognisable. Standing in his way is the CM Punk-trained Pelle Primeau; a man also packed with potential. Well-known on the East Coast as an innovative high-flyer, Primeau scored a pinfall victory over Chris Hero just four days ago at a Ring of Honor show and has made it abundantly clear he is ready to start adding some Gold to his collection.

Will Primeau start his Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE by taking the scalp of a Runnels family member? Will Cody Runnels live up to the hype surrounding him and his family name? Find out live and in person on May 25th in Eustice, Florida at the debut Pro Wrestling SUNSHINE show "Flashing Lights!"
