JuulDK’s ECW review

Opening segment: A good way to open the show , and a good dialogue between Burchill and Hurricane. Of course Hurricane accepts and the match goes down next week. Now I’m not saying that I hope Hurricane loses, but I hope you do things different than what happened in real life in this storyline, Just so that it won’t look just like what WWE did. Looking forward to the match, and Burchill attacking Hurricane makes it more interesting.

Sheamus vs. Regal: At first I really didn’t get why you would book this match. Two big time heels facing each other? But in the end I understood it, and do I maybe sense Sheamus ending up joining Regal’s roundtable?? Anyway, seemed like an okay match and you made Sheamus look strong.

Rhino segment: Great segment here with both Rhino and Christian in character. The British Invasion and D’Angelo Dinero joining forces with Rhino against the new ECW to change it sounds exciting and the way you first had all five of them jumping Christian and then had Yoshi, Benjamin and Dreamer saving him was great. Seemed like something that could easily have happened in a real storyline. Interesting to see where you’ll take this.

Ryder vs. D-Von: I actually kind of like Ryder and his new gimmick, so I would have preferred to see him on the winning side. But all in all it seemed like a good match though. Of course with the Dudleys lined up for a feud with the Big Show and Jericho, D-Von had to either win the match. The aftermatch with Big Show attacking both Dudleys were good, and helps building the feud up.

Tiffany/Dinero segment: Another good segment here, branding Dinero as the heel you obviously want him to be. The reinstatement of the X-Division could be interesting to see, but then again the X-Division matches wouldn’t be the same in a four cornered ring in my opinion. I’m curious to see what Dinero will do now.

Dreamer/Rhino segment: A good little segment here, and obvious that Rhino tries to talk Dreamer over on his side. Interesting to see if Dreamer will turn heel and work with Rhino.

Christian and Dreamer vs. The British Invasion: Very good main event here, and the storyline is just growing bigger and stronger. You made all four look strong in the ring, you had big Rob interfering, you had the attack after the match and then Dreamer saving Christian. I actually thought Dreamer would hit Christian with the chair when I read that he was getting a chair from outside. Good that you didn’t… At least not yet

Overall: A good show here with a lot of excitement and some big names. It just gets better and better.

Size Matters

After the opening video, we are introduced to the show by the Smackdown commentators, Jim Ross and Tazz. We get right down to business after that with our first match of the night and it is of course, a Smackdown match. Out first is “The Fighting Irishman” Finlay and after that is his opponent, Eric Young, who has been causing some trouble on Smackdown since he got there. This match was even matched with neither man being much stronger or bigger then the other. Eric did have the speed advantage in this match though but to counter that, Finlay had the brutality and experience advantages. This match went for about 10 minutes and was a fairly good showing by both men. The finish came when Finlay set Eric up for the Celtic Cross but Eric swung his weight and got on his feet, picked Finlay up, reversing the Celtic Cross into the Spike Piledriver for the win.

Eric looked quite pleased with himself as the referee raised his arm. Eric didn’t both celebrating or anything, he simply got out of the ring and left, after all, business was over.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break its time for the second match of the night and it is a ECW match between an ECW Original in Rhino and a fairly new star to ECW, Yoshi Tatsu. This match was quite different from Young versus Finlay because nothing was even in this match. Rhino had the strength advantage in this match and size advantage but Tatsu did his best to stay out of the way with his superior agility and athleticism. Yoshi had to stick and move in this match to avoid Rhino breaking him in half with a Gore which Rhino attempted to hit a few times but Yoshi would either jump out of the way or jump over, it was a regular matador fight. Yoshi eventually got some momentum under him after hitting a flurry of kicks to the legs, midsection and head of Rhino. Tatsu went for the Roundhouse Kick but Rhino ducked it and Yoshi had suck power behind the kick that he spun right around and into a GORE! Rhino went for the pin right away and obviously got the win.

After the match, Rhino celebrated for several seconds before going to leave but when he noticed Tatsu getting to his feet, he got back in the ring and GORED him AGAIN! Rhino wore a cocky smile on his face after hitting the second Gore and finally left the ring, leaving Yoshi broken in half, holding his ribs. West, Striker and Saxton gave us a little insight into Rhino’s action, reminding everyone that Rhino HATES the new ECW and everyone that stands for it.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break, the Raw announcers, Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, welcome us back to the show and tell us about the main event tonight, Samoa Joe against Mark Henry. They tell us about how this match was made after the huge brawl that broke out on Raw this Monday where Mark and Joe brawled. They say that Joe took offence to some of the shots Mark took. They also say this is a little preview of the Raw vs. Main Event Mafia Survivor Series match, where they will be on opposite teams. In this match, Mark had the strength advantage but Joe had superior speed and skill. The finish of the match came when Mark got Joe up for the Worlds Strongest Slam but Joe elbows his way out of the hold and shoots off the ropes, slips in behind Henry and slaps on a The Clutch (Rear Naked Choke). Henry was fading fast in this hold but lucky for him, he was close enough to the ropes to get one of his feet on them and the referee forced the breaking of the hold.

When they got to their feet, it was a straight up brawl but Joe quickly found that he couldn’t brawl with Henry, as if he didn’t learn that on Raw. Joe had to get in behind Henry again but Henry wouldn’t allow Joe to put The Choke on so Joe resorted to delivering a GERMAN SUPLEX to the nearly 400 pound Mark Henry. Joe took advantage of having the dazed Henry’s back and got The Choke on again. Henry faded fast again but he wasn’t about to give up. Henry fought to his feet with Joe on his back and drove Joe back first into the turnbuckle but Joe knew it was only a matter of time before Henry was done so he didn’t let go, despite the pain. Joe was right in knowing Henry didn’t have much left as after driving Joe into the turnbuckle once, Henry fell to a knee and then both knees and then onto his stomach. The referee didn’t even bother to raise Henry’s arm three times, he knew he was done quickly called for the bell.

Joe didn’t release the hold right away but after he did, he did the throat cut sign and stood over Mark as the show went off the air.

Friday Night Smackdown Preview

Making A Name
Last week was the beginning of a new Smackdown and a new WWE as a whole after the purchase of TNA Wrestling and the acquisition of TNA stars. Teddy Long being the generous and fair General Manager that he is decided to give one TNA star an opportunity to make a name for himself right off the bat so Teddy organized a 10 man over the top rope battle royal between the former TNA stars with the winner facing The Undertaker this week. Bobby Lashley was victorious in the battle royal and therefore will face the Phenom this week. Will Bobby make a name for himself by vanquishing the world heavyweight champion, Undertaker? Or will Undertaker claim another victim?

Big Red Mistake
Last week Dolph Ziggler requested another Intercontinental Title shot against John Morrison but Teddy Long informed Ziggler that he has been given far to many chances and if he’s ever going to earn another shot at the Intercontinental title, he’s going to have to impress. Dolph did just that by attacking Kane later that night after his match with Mike Knox. Kane was said to be furious after getting backstage last week and he will undoubtedly be looking for Dolph this week. Will Dolph impress Teddy Long further or will Kane get a little payback for Dolph’s brutal attack last week?

Stirring Up Trouble
Last week one TNA star really stood out and really hit the ground running that man was former TNA Legend’s Champion, Eric Young. Although many former TNA stars on Smackdown seemed to be happy with their new home, Eric was anything but happy and he tried to spread his displeasure to the other former TNA stars by planting the seed in their head that they aren’t wanted on Smackdown and Teddy Long is trying to get rid of them. Although Eric has only been on Smackdown for one week, it has become apparent that he will be trouble for the Blue Brand and Teddy Long. What kind of tricks will Eric Young pull out this week to try to turn his fellow TNA brethren against Teddy and the WWE?

Confirmed Matches
Rey Mysterio and Batista versus Beer Money
Dolph Ziggler versus R-Truth
Beth Phoenix versus Michelle McCool

Writers Note: I took a little break from writing for the last week or so what with Christmas and everything but I’m going to try to get writing again today. I do have Smackdown planned out but I don’t have it really started so it probably wont be up for a few days (If anyone cares )

Friday Night Smackdown
October 30th, 2009 | Rochester, New York

The opening video for Smackdown plays and then we go into the arena where the crowd is on their feet, waving their signs in the air and the fireworks are exploding on the stage. Our announcers, Jim Ross and Tazz welcome us to the show before ECW’s Dudleys make their way to the ring, looking unhappy. The Dudleys climb in the ring and Bubba grabs a mic, getting right down to business.

Bubba says that on ECW Big Show showed up after D-Von’s match and jumped him and D-Von from behind. Bubba says that he expects no less from Big Show because despite his size he’s still a coward. Bubba says that one thing that actually surprised him was that Chris Jericho was no where to be seen. Bubba says that they know that Jericho was involved in one way or another though since Big Show is too stupid to come down to the ring by himself. Bubba asks Jericho why exactly he didn’t come out and get his hands dirty himself but Bubba answers his own question stating that Jericho is a coward too. Bubba says that Jericho would rather sit back, relax, watch Show do his dirty work and take the credit later.

Bubba says that he’s going to give Jericho the benefit of the doubt though and he’s going to call him and Big Show out right here, right now. After a split second, Jerishow’s music hits and Jericho and Big Show step onto the top of the ramp with their unified tag titles over their shoulders. Jericho has a microphone in hand and he begins to speak into it. Jericho says that he knows what Bubba is trying to do, but it wont work. Jericho says that he is too smart for Bubba. Jericho says that Bubba and D-Von are parasitical hypocrites in his eyes and they aren’t worth his time. Jericho explains that he didn’t show up on ECW not because he was scared but because he didn’t have to. Jericho says that Big Show is the Giant Destroyer and he showed on ECW that he is more then enough to take out Bubba and D-Von on his own.

Bubba cuts in and tells Jericho that the only reason Show took them down was because he jumped them from behind right after D-Von was in a match. Bubba says that if you put him and his brother against Big Show, face-to-face, they will win 10 times out of 10. Jericho looks surprised by Bubba’s claim and he asks Bubba if he’d like to prove that. Bubba takes a look at his brother and then with a curious look on his face he asks Jericho if he just challenged him and D-Von to a handicap match against Big Show. Without even consulting with Big Show, Jericho says that’s exactly what he just did. Bubba says that in that case, he accepts. Jericho tells Bubba and D-Von that the match will start…right now.

Big Show makes his way to the ring and D-Von and Bubba get ready in the ring as a referee comes threw the curtain. In this match, Bubba and D-Von had to tag in and out which made it a little easier for Big Show. Show would often times cut one Dudley off from the other and try to keep them from tagging but all it would take was a big move on the part of D-Von or Bubba to get to the tag and then Show would still be stunned when the fresh man came in. Jericho was on the outside of the ring for most of this match and he didn’t look too concerned with the fact that Show was in over his head. The finish of the match came when Bubba started to get some momentum built and Big Show looked exhausted. Bubba went off the ropes, looking to put Show down but as Bubba bounced off the ropes, Jericho smacked his back with a steel chair.

Bubba cringed in pain as he walked into a chokeslam from Big Show. It didn’t matter that Show chokeslammed Bubba of course because the referee called fro the bell as soon as Jericho hit Bubba with the chair and he awarded The Dudleys with the win. After the match is over, Big Show tries to go to work on Bubba some more but D-Von gets in the ring and takes Show’s attention from Bubba, who is still down. Jericho gets in the ring as D-Von starts to get the upper hand in the brawl with Show. It looks like Jericho is about to hit D-Von from behind but D-Von clotheslines Show out of the ring and turns around before Jericho can do anything and Jericho gets the hell out of there before D-Von can get his hands on him.

Jericho looks extremely pissed off as he goes over to Show and basically rips him a new asshole. D-Von helps Bubba to his feet and Bubba yells at Jericho to get in the ring but Jericho helps Show up and they leave and they don’t pay an ounce of attention to the pissed off Dudley Boys.

Next we go backstage to Smackdown General Manager, Teddy Long’s office. Teddy is sitting at his desk working on some papers when Eric Young walks in. Teddy looks less then thrilled to see Young. Young calls him on it, telling Teddy to greet. Teddy stands up, puts his hand out to shake hands with Young and welcomes “Mr. Young.” Eric doesn’t bother to shake Teddy’s hand. Teddy asks Eric what he can do for him. Eric tells Teddy to cut the crap and Teddy looks shocked with the bluntness of what Eric just said. Eric continues to say that he doesn’t appreciate being lied to. Eric tells Teddy that he wants him to admit right here, right now that he doesn’t want him or any other former TNA stars on his show.

Teddy tells Eric that he knows that isn’t true. Teddy continues to say that the former TNA stars a huge- ERIC SLAPS TEDDY ACROSS THE FACE! Teddy falls back into his seat and he cant believe what Eric just did. Eric is now pissed off and he says that he tells Teddy to tell him the truth and he lies to his FACE! Eric says that he takes that as disrespect and he will not stand for disrespect. Teddy is still sitting in his chair, holding his face in utter shock and disbelief. Eric says that it is obvious to him and everyone watching around the world that Teddy doesn’t want him or the other former TNA stars on his show.

Eric says that unlike Teddy, he is an honest man and honestly, he doesn’t want to be on Smackdown. Eric says that he is a business man though and maybe they can work something out. Eric doesn’t look so angry now but Teddy is still in disbelief, not so much because Eric slapped him but because Eric actually wants to talk business after slapping him. Eric says that if Teddy wants them out of the way so bad, why doesn’t he make a match at Survivor Series. Eric says that he would pick five former TNA stars and Teddy could pick five other Smackdown stars and those ten men would face off in a Classic Survivor Series match at Survivor Series.

Teddy finally snaps out of his shock and stands up. Teddy looks pretty angry now and says that after what Eric just did, he should fire him, not give him what he wants! Eric turns it around on Teddy though and says that this is exactly what he expected from Teddy, shutting the idea down just because it involves TNA Stars. Eric tells Teddy that he can be sure Mr. McMahon will be hearing about this. Eric turns to leave but Teddy tells him to wait. Eric stops where he stands and listens to what Teddy has to say. Teddy says that he’ll make the match just to shut Eric up. Teddy continues to walk and can be heard saying simply “Good.”

Commercial Break

When we return from the break its time for our first match of the night and it’s a tag match between the team of Rey Mysterio and Batista and two of Smackdown’s newest stars, Beer Money Inc. This is a good back and forth match that really shows the world what Beer Money is capable of. Beer Money take Rey and Batista to the limit in this match with their superior experience as a team. Beer Money isolate Rey Mysterio for most of the match, cutting the ring in half and making quick tags to keep each other fresh, basically, they stick to the basic tag team attack plan. About six minutes into the match, its looking like Beer Money are ready to end this thing so they make a tag and they DWI but Rey turns it into a reverse DDT on Storm and a hurracarrana on Roode, taking them both out at the same time.

Rey finally has a chance to tag out since both members of Beer Money are down, including the legal James Storm. Neither Storm or Roode are in a position to stop Rey from tagging to he gets the hot tag to The Animal. Storm and Roode get up just as Batista makes his way into the ring. He tries to clothesline both members of Beer Money down but he only gets Storm since Roode ducks it. Roode shoots off the ropes but Batista obliterates him with a MASSIVE SPEAR! Roode rolls out of the ring as Batista tags Mysterio in again. Batista quickly sets Storm up for a Batista Bomb as Mysterio springboards off the top ropes and aids the Batista Bomb with a Seated Senton. Mysterio quickly goes for the pin and obviously gets the 1, 2, 3. But the thing is, Storm’s arm was under the ropes and the referee didn’t notice so Mysterio and Batista shouldn’t have won the match.

Although Storm is out cold, Roode noticed that Storm’s arm was under the ropes and he starts yelling at the referee that Storm’s arm was under the ropes. The referee says that he didn’t see it so his decision stands. Roode says that he should re-start the match but the referee says no and leaves. Roode is livid as he checks on Storm. Mysterio and Batista are quite happy with their win and Mysterio even offers Roode a handshake but Roode is so pissed off that he just helps Storm to his feet and leaves.

Commercial Break

When we return from the commercial break, Beer Money are walking to their locker room backstage when Eric Young stops them. Roode, who is still pissed off tells at Eric, asking him what the hell he wants. Eric tells Roode to calm down and even calls him “Brother.” Eric says that he saw what just happened to them out there and it was a travesty of justice. Young says that it was no mistake though. Young says that its all part of Teddy Long’s place to destroy the former TNA stars. Eric says that they need to band together, fight back and avoid being taken advantage of.

Eric says that he knows he and Beer Money haven’t always seen eye to eye but everything has begun a new on Smackdown and he hopes that Beer Money are on board with him. Eric doesn’t want to drill it into them too much so he tells them to think about it and he walks away. Storm and Roode look like they are actually thinking about what Eric just said, which is a dangerous thing to do.

We then go to the arena where another match is about to begin and this match is between two of Smackdown’s young stars, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth. Ziggler dominates most of this match but Truth did take control a few times, although his dominance didn’t last long. Ziggler eventually picked up the win after a Zig-Zag, getting the clean win over Truth. Ziggler screamed into the camera after match “Are you impressed now!?”, obviously at Teddy Long who last week told Dolph that if he was ever going to get another Intercontinental Title match, he’d have to impress him.

As Ziggler is celebrating, the man that Dolph attacked last week to impress Teddy, Kane, comes down the ramp. Kane doesn’t look happy at all and is ready to tear Dolph in two. Ziggler isn’t going to take Kane on face-to-face so he quickly gets out of the ring and leaves threw the crowd. Kane still gets in the ring and just stands there, staring at Dolph. Truth is just getting up after the Zig-Zag and Kane sees this so he grabs Truth and CHOKESLAMS him! Kane makes the fire explode and laughs as Dolph watches in utter fear from afar.

We then go backstage and we see Eric Young standing alone in a dark corner of the arena. The referee from Mysterio and Batista versus Beer Money walks up to Eric. Eric looks around and then takes a large amount of money from his suits pocket and hands it to the referee. He tells the referee he did a good job and then walks away. The referee can be seen counting the money and then he puts it in his pocket and walks away.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the commercial its time for the fourth match of the night and it is between Cryme Tyme and The Motor City Machine Guns. This is a high paced, explosive match between three smaller guys (MCMG and JTG) and one bigger guy who kind of adds some more depth to the match other then just jumps and flips and highflying action. Shad also gives Cryme Tyme an advantage in this match since he is so much larger then Shelly or Sabin. This match isn’t like most tag matches, there isn’t any cutting the ring in half or isolating one man since neither team can really get the upper hand on the other.

The finish of the match comes when Cryme Tyme look to put Sabin away with a G9 but Sabin drops down behind Shad, delivers a low blow out of the sight of the referee, pushes Shad into JTG, sending J out of the ring and once Shad bounces back, Sabin rolls him up for the victory. Sabin quickly gets out of the ring before Shad can recover and get some revenge. Sabin and Shelly look extremely pleased with their first victory on Smackdown as they jump around, hooting and hollering.

We then go backstage to Teddy Long’s office. Teddy is sitting in his chair trying to relax although it doesn’t look like its working. John Morrison and Matt Hardy walk in. Morrison with a lurch like voice says that Teddy “Rang.” Teddy gets up, shakes both of their hands and thanks them for coming. Teddy says that he’s sure they have seen what Eric Young is trying to do, turn the former TNA stars against him and the rest of the Smackdown roster. Teddy says that he’s also sure they heard about the 5-versus-5 tag match at Survivor Series. Morrison and Hardy nod. Teddy says that he’s picked the two of them to be on his team and he wanted to tell them in person. Morrison thanks Teddy and says that they wont let him down. Teddy says that isn’t the only reason he called them in though. Teddy says that he knows John Morrison will be facing Matt Morgan up next. Teddy says that Eric Young is sneaky and manipulative and he needs to be careful out there.

Morrison tells Teddy not to worry about him, he can take anything that Eric throws at him. Morrison leaves and so does Hardy. Teddy looks happy for the first time tonight.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break its time for the match we just heard about, John Morrison versus Matt Morgan. Morrison and Morgan are two of the youngest and most talented stars on the Smackdown roster and they show it in this match, putting on a great match that reintroduces the WWE crowd to Matt Morgan quite well. After about seven minutes of solid back and forth action, Morrison picks up the win with the Starship Pain. Morrison celebrates after the match, looking quite happy with his win but Matt Morgan isn’t happy with his loss. Morgan gets up and jumps Morrison from behind.

He takes Morrison down and hits him several times in the back of the head. Morgan gets him up, shoots him off the ropes and nails him with the Carbon Footprint. Morrison drops like a pile of bricks and Morgan doesn’t look like he’s done either but Matt Hardy books it to the ring and Morgan gets out of there. Hardy yells at Morgan that if he wants to fight, he’s right here. Hardy helps Morrison to his feet and Morrison looks livid.

Next up we go backstage to the locker room for former TNA stars. James Storm, Robert Roode, Alex Shelly, Chris Sabin, Abyss, Dr. Stevie and Bobby Lashley are sitting down silently waiting for something. Eric Young walks in and stands at the front of the room and looks across his brothers. He tells them to make no mistake, they are not wanted here. Eric says that this was proven earlier tonight when Beer Money got screwed by a WWE referee, working by Teddy Long’s orders. Eric says that he isn’t going to just sit back and be degraded and taken advantage of and neither should they. Eric says that they need to do something.

Eric says that as they all know, earlier tonight he convinced Teddy Long to make a 5-versus-5 tag team match for Survivor Series where he will pick five men for one team and Teddy will pick five for the other. Just then, Matt Morgan walks in, who is clearing the sweat from his face with a towel. Eric says its good Matt is here, he was just about to make an announcement. Matt takes a seat with the rest of the former TNA stars. Eric says that he’s called everyone here to pick the five men that will defend all of their names at Survivor Series.

Eric says that the team will consist of Sting, who isn’t there, Beer Money, Matt Morgan and….himself. Eric says together they will show Teddy that they belong here and they are better then anyone he can get. Eric is shown smiling an evil smile as we go to commercial.

Commercial Break

When we come back its time for some Diva’s action. In this match Beth Phoenix will be facing the WWE Women’s Champion, Michelle McCool in a non-title match. Also, Mickie James is on commentary with Tazz and JR. This is a great match between two of the best women wrestlers in all of North America. Beth and Michelle really show what they are made of and Beth puts on quite a show with her power, tossing Michelle around the ring like a rag doll. The finish comes when Beth gets Michelle up and plants her with the Glam Slam and Beth picks up a clean win over the Women’s Champion! Beth looks extremely pleased with her victory, which is obviously a huge win!

Beth isn’t done with Michelle yet though as she picks her up again and goes for another Glam Slam but Michelle fights out of it. Michelle and Beth start to fight and the fight eventually goes to the outside of the ring. Mickie gets up and tries to break the brawl up but instead of breaking it up, she just gets involved when Michelle and Beth attack her, its now a three woman brawl. Referees start to come out and they try to break it up. Michelle has no problem with the brawl ending, in fact, she leaves. Mickie and Beth on the other hand want to keep going but there are too many referees for them to get to each other or to Michelle. After a minute or so of struggling, the referees get Mickie and Beth to the back, out of the crowds view.

The announcers tell us that the main event is up next but before that, they are just getting word that Teddy Long has decided his team for Survivor Series. JR says that representing Teddy Long will be Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Matt Hardy and Finlay. Tazz reminds us of Eric Young’s team which is Sting, Beer Money, Matt Morgan and Eric Young. They tell us that it will be one heck of a match with so many big names and hopefully Eric Young gets shut up by the end of it.

Commercial Break

When we come back, it is now time for our main event and it is a non-title match between Bobby Lashley and the World Heavyweight Champion, Undertaker. This match is truly a clash of titans with both of them displaying their power as well as their athleticism in this match. Lashley, being much younger does seem to have a slight advantage but Taker counters that with his superior experience. This match gets a fair amount of time, going for just over 10 minutes. Lashley almost puts Taker away a few times but Taker just keeps coming. Taker nearly puts Lashley away a few times as well but Lashley just wont stay down.

The finish of the match comes when Taker sets Lashley up for the Last Ride but CM Punk’s music hits and Punk starts to slowly make his way down the ramp, Punk, of course, will face Taker for the world title next week. Taker pushes Lashley to the ground and signals for Punk to come to the ring. Lashley takes advantage of the distraction and bounce off the ropes and SPEARS Taker just as he turns around. Lashley quickly hooks both legs and GETS THE WIN! LASHLEY JUST PINNED TAKER! Lashley cant believe it and neither can Taker who isn’t down for long. Punk backs up the ramp as Taker rolls out of the ring and slowly makes his way towards him.

Lashley is celebrating like he just won the world title, as he should be, pinning The Undertaker is a huge accomplishment and Lashley did just what Teddy Long intended him to do, he made a name for himself on his second week in TNA. The show goes off the air with Lashley celebrating.

Default Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Untouchable

hey just started reading your stuff
here is the best review/feedback i can muster

i really like the dudley boys/jerishow feud you got going i am not sure why it would seem that jericho doesnt have faith in big show. perhaps a possible split up in the future but maybe i am overthinking this.it came across as big show looking a bit week. but i look forward to an eventual title match

young and teddy was quite entertaining in my eyes it is the perfect example of the rift between the former TNA talents and the WWE very well scripted and the match at survivor series should be good. this also got eric over pretty well as a don't care about consequences type of character ala stone cold. if that is what you are going for.

again in that tag match we see the rift with the referee refusing to aknowlledge the rope break, when in any other situation the match would have been restarted. overall a good filler match and with the combination of this match and the beer money/eric young segment afterwards really shows that beer money will be in the elimination match with eric as the TNA leader.

Ziggler/truth is a very good matchup with good results i hope this feud with kane and dolph is going to elevate dolph to the intercontinental title. i personally didnt like r-truth being but down with his non existent offense in the match and being a victim of kane but if that is what you want out of the guy i cant really argue. i like the transition of being out to impress that turns into feud you are doing with ziggles and kane. nice job.

eric young that damn eric young just when i thought it couldnt get any better it does now i might not be so sure about beer money in the survivor series match but i may be wrong this is a good manipulative move for eric and love his push thus far. very sneaky

guns vs cryme tyme not much i can really say about this as it is just to get the guns over in an enviroment where TNA doesnt get much of a shot to do so. guns as heels sure i can accept that.

morrison and hardy on the survivor series team is very good i like to see good pushes as smackdown leaders for these two and would love to see them team to thwart off the evilness of eric young. good segment

morgan looking strong in this match as i do hope. morrison getting the win wasnt surprising as he has been deamed a team leader. morgan attacking him was a bit of a surprise. one that i did like. hardy making save was expected but this showed tna isnt just going to play dead.

the tna locker room segment was good, really like the team essembled, especially sting. did expect eric to be the team leader until stings name was called so a bit disapointed but excited as well. wonder if sting not being there is a clue to something inevitable but maybe not. very good

diva match there isnt much i can say about diva matches. not that i am sexist as i find it hard to write for them. look forward to a future 3 way dance though.

smackdown team looks good definatly some big names on both this match will for sure get quite a bit of build on.

i love how lashley won with a slight distraction as it wasnt completely clean which would have been a tad too much i think for bobby. look forward to these three continuing to co-extist with one another in the comming weeks. i can see punk eventually getting the title when this is settled and that isnt a bad thing at all.

good show will definately read your shows often
im still new to btb i thought it would help my project if i read more from others and reviewed.

good job man keep it up

I haven’t been as active in this thread lately as I used to be but I’m going to try to change that. I’ve just been feeling like I’m rushing through things and I don’t mean that like I’m writing shows too quickly, I mean like, I’m pushing feuds and stories along too quickly so I’m going to try to change that after Survivor Series and I’m also almost definitely going to start writing full shows after Survivor Series with the exception of Superstars which I’ll probably stop writing all together and I’ll probably just start putting the results at the bottom of my other shows. Anyways, since this is the end of another week in this BTB, I figured I’d do some news and notes so here they are:

News and Notes

~ The tag division in WWE is going to be a very different place in the coming months with several new teams being made and a few being broken up. WWE seems to be finally putting some of the spotlight on the tag division and now that the tag titles have had some of their prestige brought back to them, WWE doesn’t want to let them fade away again. Look for the tag titles to be defended at almost every PPV.

~ There is some talk of Undertaker and Shawn Michaels retiring at Wrestlemania this year. Taker and Michaels have both slowed down noticeably since just last year and Taker’s knees and hips are said to be shot. The Undertaker’s streak will more then likely be ended at Wrestlemania this year.

~ It seems like there is some talk backstage that when the purchase of TNA happened, all of the releases weren’t thought through completely and there is said to be some regrets. It is possible that some of the wrestlers released could be brought back in the coming weeks and likely sent to developmental.

~ Although it seems that alliances have been formed on both Smackdown and ECW between former TNA stars, don’t expect to see those alliances last past Survivor Series. Both of them were made merely to make Classic Survivor Series matches at Survivor Series and once that show pasts, everyone will likely go their own way.

And I guess while I’m in here, I might as well toss up a Raw Preview.

Monday Night Raw Preview

Divide and Conquer
The Main Event Mafia has been on Raw two weeks and already they have caused chaos. The Mafia debuted by taking out the Chairmen of the WWE, Vince McMahon and John Cena in the same night but last week after a brawl broke out, Mick Foley announced that if another brawl like this happens, whoever starts it will be fired. Kurt Angle took that as, attack but don’t get caught and that is exactly what he did when he Angle Slammed John Cena on a steel chair after their match last week. With the Mafia finding a loop hole in Mick Foley’s orders, will there be more chaos this week?

Double Duty
Last week when Todd Grisham attempted to interview Awesome Kong about attacking Melina, it was revealed that Kong now had a new manager in Vickie Guerrero, who would be pulling double duty by managing Eric Escobar on Smackdown and Kong on Raw. Vickie made it clear that Kong is the most dominant woman in the WWE today and she is going to take the Diva’s Title from Melina but Melina, not being one to back down, interrupted Vickie and Kong and stated that if Kong wants a piece of her, she will be happy to give her some. Kong tried to go after Melina right then and there but Vickie held her back. Will Melina and Kong go out it this week?

A Chance of a Lifetime
Two weeks ago AJ Styles made his debut by interrupting the WWE Champion, Randy Orton and going on to defeat Cody Rhodes. Last week, Styles defeated Orton’s other Legacy running mate, Ted DiBiase with the stipulation that if Styles could beat Ted, Orton would consider giving AJ a title match this week. Will Randy hold up his end of the bargain? Or will AJ have to work a little harder to face Randy?

Confirmed Matches
Diva’s Champion Melina versus Gail Kim
Kofi Kingston versus Christopher Daniels
Scott Steiner versus Shawn Michaels

Default Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Untouchable

Monday Night Raw
November 2nd, 2009 | Worcester, Massachusetts

The show opens with a video package that shows Vince McMahon announcing the purchase of TNA Wrestling. It then shows Vince coming out on the first Raw after TNA’s roster was fused with WWE’s. Next, The Main Event Mafia is shown coming out and talking about how they are taking over and then Angle is shown putting Vince in the Ankle Lock. Next, everything The Main Event Mafia has done in their short time in the WWE is shown and the video package ends with a shot of all five of them and Angle saying “Were taking over.”

Next week see the opening video for Raw as Raw’s new theme song, Burn It To the Ground by Nickelback plays. The announcers welcome us to the show and it isn’t long before “Voices” hits and Randy Orton, along with Legacy come to the ring. Randy grabs a mic and looks across the crowd. Randy starts off by saying that the last few weeks have been a very interesting time for the WWE. Randy says that everywhere you look, there is change. Randy says everything and everyone all around him are changing all because of WWE’s purchase of TNA Wrestling but Randy says that one thing has stayed the same and will stay the same and that is…he will remain the WWE Champion.

Randy reminds the fans that last week he told AJ Styles if he could beat Ted DiBiase right here in this ring, he would CONSIDER giving him a WWE Title match tonight. Randy says that he’s had a week to think about it and after a great deal of thought, he’s decided that he will allow AJ to have a WWE Title match right here tonight, to which the fans pop to. Randy says that he wants to make his intentions perfectly clear though, Randy says that AJ is getting this title match for one reason and one reason only, to make an example. Randy says that all these former TNA stars are coming in here thinking that they are worth something and that’s why he is going to make an example of AJ right here tonight and show him and all the other former TNA stars that they might have been someone in TNA but around here, they are nobodies.

AJ Styles’ music hits and he gets a surprisingly large pop, considering he’s only been in WWE for three weeks. Styles high fives some fans on the way to the ring and grabs a mic of his own. AJ has no problem getting right in the faces of Randy, Ted and Cody, knowing full well they could triple team him right now. AJ sarcastically says that the great Randy Orton has given him the privilege of facing him in his Randy’s ring for Randy’s title. AJ tells Randy to give him a break. AJ says that he has EARNED a title shot. AJ says that maybe he hasn’t done a whole lot in WWE but he has still worked his ass off every day he’s been in this business to get where he is today and that’s why he deserves a shot at the WWE Title.

Styles says that Randy is making a huge mistake though. AJ says that Randy is taking him lightly, he’s overlooking him and that will be his downfall. AJ says that Randy might think that he’s just some big fish who came from a little pond, but he’ll show Randy tonight that that isn’t the case when he BEATS RANDY AND TAKES HIS WWE TITLE! AJ is getting a little excited but Randy just stands there with no emotion on his face. Randy says that AJ is wrong, he hasn’t earned a single thing. Randy says that AJ might have worked himself to the bone every day of his life before he got here but that isn’t good enough around here. Randy says that the only reason AJ is getting a title shot is because he ALLOWED him to have a title shot and Randy says tonight, he’ll put AJ in his place.

AJ says that he’s finished talking about because tonight, he’ll do something about it. AJ drops the mic and leaves. Randy and Legacy just stand there, staring at AJ as he backs up the ramp, and signals that he wants the WWE Title around his waist. AJ can be heard saying “Tonight, its mine!” In reference to the WWE Title of course.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break its time for some Diva’s action and this match is between the Diva’s Champion, Melina and Gail Kim. Kim and Melina really went all out in this match and Kim surprisingly got a fair amount of offence in despite not really being a star in the Women’s division anymore. Melina eventually picked up the pinfall victory after a devastating Primal Scream. After the match was over, Melina and Kim shook hands and Kim went to the back as Melina celebrated with the Diva’s Title. It wasn’t long before Melina’s happy moment came to an end as Awesome Kong, along with Vickie Guerrero came threw the curtain. Melina prepared herself for a fight and once Kong got in the ring, it was on!

Kong and Melina slugged it out and the fight eventually went to the outside, after Kong clotheslined Melina over the top rope. Melina got back into the brawl on the outside though and even took the upper hand after a knee to Kong’s gut but Vickie Guerrero distracted Melina while allowed Kong to send Melina shoulder first into the steel steps! Kong rolled Melina back into the ring and dropped her with a brutal AWESOME BOMB! Vickie got in the ring and held up Kong’s hand as Kong stood over Melina. Vickie went and grabbed a mic and told the crowd and Melina that she and Kong just came from General Manager Mick Foley’s office and the match has been made, at Survivor Series it will be Melina going one-on-one with Awesome Kong for the WWE Diva’s Championship! The crowd booed as Vickie dropped the mic and held Kong’s hand up again.

Speaking of Mick Foley, we then go backstage to his office where Mick is sitting in his leather wheelie chair. Hernandez walks in and Mick welcomes him to his office. Hernandez reminds Foley that last week The Miz screwed him out of a US Title shot. Foley says that he saw that and it was a shame. Hernandez asks Foley what exactly he’s going to do about it. Foley thinks for a second and tells Hernandez that there’s nothing he can do! Foley tells Hernandez that he promised Miz if he could beat Hernandez last week, he wouldn’t have to defend the US Title against him and since The Miz held up his end of the deal, Foley has to hold up his. Foley says that the only way Hernandez will be able to get a shot at the US Title is if he works his way up to it. Hernandez storms out of the room and just as it looks like Mick is going to be able to go back to doing nothing, Jack Swagger walks in.

Foley doesn’t seem to remember Swagger and asks Swagger if he can help him. Swagger tells Mick that he’s Jack Swagger. Foley still looks a little confused. Swagger reminds Foley that they met last week and Foley promised he’d have something for him tonight. That seems to trigger Foley’s memory and Foley apologizes for not remembering. Foley says that sometimes he forgets stuff, you know, a few too many chair shots. Foley says that he does have something for Swagger and since Swagger is such a big deal around here, he got Swagger an equally big opponent. Swagger looks a little confused and asks Foley what he means by that. Foley tells Swagger not to worry about it and says that he’s sure he can handle it. Swagger walks out and Foley has a satisfied look on his face.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the break, its time for the second match of the evening and it is between two highflying, exciting superstars in Christopher Daniels and Kofi Kingston. Chris and Kofi really put on a show out there, its like an air show. Chris and Kofi fly across the ring, back and forth, neither man being able to put the other away. Just as it looks like Kofi is finally going to be able to put Chris away, after building some momentum and nearly hitting the Trouble In Paradise, Homicide sprinted to ringside. Kofi, who was attacked by Homicide, started yelling at him to get out of here and asking him what he wants. Homicide eventually started backing away and once Kofi turned around, he got dropped with a big enzuguri. Chris then hopped up to the top rope and delivered the BME! This was obviously enough to put Kofi away.

Chris celebrated his victory as Kofi held his midsection and stared at Homicide who was still backing up the ramp, with a smug smirk on his face, almost as if to say “Ha-ha, I cost you the match.”

Next we go backstage to the Diva’s locker room. The Beautiful People, Maryse and Velvet Sky are standing there, looking into the camera. Velvet says last week, the hottest team in the history of the WWE, The Beautiful People was made and they told everyone that they were going to get rid of all the ugly Diva’s. Maryse says that ever since they said that though, everyone has been saying that there isn’t a single ugly Diva on the roster. They both laugh and Velvet says that’s why their here in the Diva’s locker room to show everyone just how ugly all the other Diva’s are.

They walk around the room and their first stop is Taylor Wilde. They stick their fingers down their throats and pretend like they are gagging themselves. They say that she’s gross. Taylor obviously takes offence to this. Maryse and Velvet then move on to ODB. They simply say that she’s hideous and move on to Jillian. They say that her face is as bad as her singing. Next up on their list of girls to humiliate is Kelly who is putting on makeup. They say its going to take a lot more then makeup to make her pretty. They keep walking and they bump into Awesome Kong and Vickie Guerrero. Maryse and Velvet stand there frozen and then Kong and Vickie walk by them. They wait until they are out of the room and Maryse says that they didn’t know they allowed animals in the building.

Maryse and Velvet finally turn to the camera again and says that they are the only hot Diva’s on the roster and they feel bad for the all the fans having to sit at home and look at all these ugly chicks every week but they tell them not to worry because next week, they are going to start cleansing the WWE roster of ugly chicks, one Diva at a time.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the break, we go into Shawn Michaels’ locker room. He’s sitting on a stool, putting on his elbow pads when someone comes in the room. The camera turns to reveal Shawn’s old buddy, Kevin Nash. Shawn is cautious at first but Nash says he isn’t here to fight. Nash says that he’s sorry about all the stuff that’s been going down with the Mafia since they got here but he wants Shawn to know that they are still friends. All of a sudden out of nowhere, Scott Steiner jumps Shawn! After a second of Scott putting the boot to Shawn, NASH JOINS IN! Nash and Scott put the boot to Shawn for a few seconds and then Nash helps Shawn up and holds his arms as Scott punches him in the gut. Nash shoves Shawn to the floor and they start kicking him some more and once Shawn stops moving, they finally leave.

We then go back to the arena for the third match of the night. The first man out is Jack Swagger and out next is Mick Foley’s hand picked opponent for Swagger….THE BIG SHOW! Swagger cannot believe his eyes and is beside himself as one half of the Unified tag team champions, Big Show walks down the ramp, with Chris Jericho following him closely. Swagger doesn’t get a whole lot of offence in in this match since his game is usually taking them to the ground or throwing them around and he cant do either of those things with Show. Swagger did try to take Show down with double legged takedowns a few times but Show was just too big and one time, Show even sprawled which was impressive and nearly squashed Swagger. Show won the match with a chokeslam. After the match, Jericho and Show held each others hands up and Swagger looked on with anger at both Show and Foley.

Next we go backstage and Mark Henry is walking around by himself. He is walking down a hall when he sees Samoa Joe standing at the end of it, staring at him. Mark goes after Joe but Joe disappears. All of a sudden, Booker and Angle jump out and start beating Henry down. Joe joins in the beat down and the three of them manage to get Henry on the floor where they kick the hell out of him. Henry tries to fight up once but Joe just grabs Henry and throws him into a wall and after that, Henry doesn’t get up again. Book, Angle and Joe beat the hell out of Mark a little more before walking away, leaving him there in a heap.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the break, its time for an interview. Lauren is standing alongside Carlito and Chris Masters. Lauren reminds all the fans that over the past few weeks, Carlito and Chris have been accompanying each other to the ring and last week they attacked Amazing Red and the week before, the attacked Evan Bourne. Lauren asks Carlito and Chris what the reason is for these actions. Carlito says that she’s new here so he’ll answer her question…even though it is a stupid question. Carlito says that he and Chris realized something a few weeks ago and that is, alone they are great but together they’re unstoppable.

Carlito says that a few years ago he and Chris were a tag team but not just any tag team, they were THE tag team. Carlito says that he and Chris took the WWE by storm! Carlito says that things changed though and they eventually split. Carlito says that after that, both of their careers went downhill. Carlito says that is why they are back together, to take the WWE by storm once again. Carlito says as for attacking Red and Bourne, well its because they are the first step in taking the WWE by storm. Carlito says that its not like they could stop them anyways and he asks Laruen if she’s seen the size of them and says that they “pipsqueaks.”

Red and Bourne show up at the interview set. Bourne says that he and Red bet that Carlito and Chris think that they can do whatever they want, they can push them around and beat them up and they wont do anything about it but Bourne says that is where Carlito is wrong. Bourne says that he and Red have realized something too and that is…they are a lot alike. Bourne says that he and Red discovered that they’ve both been pushed around their entire lives because of their size, until they learned to fight that is and now, now they aren’t going to take it anymore. Bourne says that Carlito and Chris picked the wrong guys to pick on and Bourne says in their match tonight, they’ll prove it.

We then head into the arena as its time for the next match and this match is between Scott Steiner and The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. When Shawn came through the curtain, it was clear to everyone that he was injured, lucky for him, he had his buddy, Triple H by his side, unlucky for them, Scott has his buddy, Booker T by his. Shawn went out there and gave it his all in this match but his surgically repaired back was giving him some trouble from the beat down he received at the hands of Kevin Nash and Scott Steiner earlier tonight. In this match, Scott just continued the beat down by continuing to work on the back.

Scott applied the Steiner Recliner a few times and Shawn screamed in pain but Scott didn’t want the match to end so quickly, so he always released the hold just as it seemed like Shawn was going to tap. Scott tossed Shawn around the ring with suplexs and other manoeuvres that punished his back, Scott even hit the Frankensteiner at one point in the match. Shawn started to come back near the end, hitting a flurry of offence and nearly catching Scott with the Sweet Chin Music but it wasn’t enough and Scott scored the victory, via submission with the Steiner Recliner. Shawn didn’t tap though, he simply passed out from the intense pain.

After the match, Booker and Steiner see an opportunity to take out another member of the team they’ll be facing at Survivor Series since Shawn is out cold and Triple H is alone so while Scott distracts Hunter, Booker jumps him from behind! Scott and Book beat him down in the middle of the ring with Shawn looking on and not being able to help. Hunter tried to make a comeback but Booker threw him shoulder first into the steel ring post and after that the beat down just got worse. No one came out to help him either since Shawn is out cold, Mark was already taken out and Cena and MVP are undoubtedly either busy, getting beaten down themselves or are afraid of getting fired. Scott and Book left the ring after Triple H stopped fighting back.

We then go backstage and we see MVP walking around, minding his own business when out of no where, he gets SMACKED over the back with a steel chair which is in the hands of Kurt Angle! Nash also shows up on the scene and he and Angle beat the hell out of MVP, just like they did to Shawn, Hunter and Mark earlier tonight. Once again, the mugging didn’t stop until MVP was no longer moving. Angle and Nash looked quite satisfied as they walked away.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the break, its time for Carlito and Chris Masters to face off against Amazing Red and Evan Bourne. The announcers stated that there is an upside to Chris and Carlito targeting Red and Evan because Red and Evan seem to have made an alliance and they are now calling themselves Bourne Amazing. They truly were amazing in this match too, flipping around the ring, dazzling the fans and Chris and Carlito with their aerial offence. Carlito tried to match their flying attack with some death defying moves of his own but he just couldn’t out fly Bourne Amazing. Masters tried to counter their highflying with his power and it was successful most of the time. The finish of the match came when Chris locked The Master Lock in on Amazing Red and Carlito attacked Evan Bourne. Red couldn’t get out of the hold and eventually passed out.

After the match was over, Chris and Carlito continued the attack with Chris applying the Master Lock to Bourne and Carlito hitting the Backstabber on Red. Carlito and Chris left Bourne Amazing lying there, holding their backs as they celebrated their victory.

We then go backstage to the parking lot. John Cena is pulling along his suitcase and it looks like he is about to leave the arena when Kurt Angle steps out from behind a car. Then Joe steps out from behind another car. Nash, Booker and Steiner all step out from behind cars as well. Cena doesn’t look scared, not one bit, instead of backing down, he starts to unbutton the cuffs on his dress shirt and proceeds to roll up the sleeves. Cena yells out “You want some, COME GET SOME!” With that being said, all five members of The Mafia move in on Cena. Cena fights back valiantly, throwing some elbows and fists and kicks at the group of men but the numbers eventually catch up to him. They start to beat the holy hell out of him and Cena is defenceless to fight back.

Angle walks Cena out of the picture though so he picks Cena up and delivers an ANGLE SLAM ON A CAR HOOD! Cena falls off the car and rolls around in pain, screaming al the while. The five men continue to beat down until Cena has stopped fighting back and then they walk away, once again looking pleased with their handiwork.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the commercial break, its time for the main event and that is of course, a WWE Title match between the WWE Champion, Randy Orton and “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles! These two went out there and put on a great match. They meshed quite well together with their different styles and it was a even match that got about 10 minutes. Near the end of the match, it looked like Styles would get the win after he set Randy up for the Styles Clash but Randy fought out of it. Randy nearly put AJ away at one point too, almost hitting the RKO but AJ managed to push Randy away.

The finish of the match came when AJ set Randy up for the Styles Clash a second time but this time, Randy didn’t have the strength to fight out of it so Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes got involved, hitting Styles from behind, costing him the Title but not the match as the referee called for the bell. It takes Randy a second to recover but once he does, he joins in on the assault of AJ Styles. Randy picks AJ up and drops him on his head with a vicious RKO! Cody and Ted hold up Randy’s arms as he celebrates his retaining the title.

Mick Foley’s music hits and Mick stands at the top of the ramp with a mic in hand. Mick says that Randy thinks AJ was a big fish in a little pond in TNA, Randy thinks he isn’t good enough to take the title from him, well AJ just proved Randy wrong! Mick says that’s why AJ is going to get another shot at the title at Survivor Series but in this match, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase are BANNED from ringside! Randy starts freaking out as Cody and Ted try to calm him down. AJ, who is just coming too, looks quite pleased with what he just heard. The show goes off the air with a shot of Randy holding the WWE title and he is fuming mad and AJ Styles is in the background with a smirk on his face.

ECW on Sci-Fi Preview

Laying It All On The Line
The Hurricane and Paul Burchill have been feuding for months with Paul Burchill trying to prove that The Hurricane is in fact, Gregory Helms. This Tuesday on ECW, the feud will finally come to an end when Paul and The Hurricane face off one-on-one with huge stipulations, those being that if The Hurricane loses, he must remove his mask but if Paul Burchill loses, he must leave ECW. Who’s career and life will be turned up side down by the result of this match? Who will walk out the victor and who will walk out a changed man?

Mind Games
Ever since Rhino has returned to ECW two weeks ago his goal has been to change the land of extreme but to ECW’s original ways. He even formed alliances in The British Invasion and D’Angelo Dinero to strengthen his cause but one person that could soon be joining his cause as well is none other then the heart and soul of ECW, Tommy Dreamer. Rhino seemed to get into Dreamer’s head last week when Dreamer chased him and D’Angelo Dinero off with a chair and seemed to be contemplating hitting Christian with the chair. Will Rhino continue his attempts to bring Dreamer to his side? Or will Dreamer show his loyalty to his friend, Christian and the current ECW?

No Limits on ECW?
Ever since D’Angelo Dinero made his return to ECW he has been carrying the TNA X-Division Championship with him which he won the night TNA merged with WWE, Bound For Glory. Last week Dinero made it clear that he wanted the title reactivated under the WWE banner and he wanted to be named the first ever WWE X-Division Champion but Tiffany made it clear it wouldn’t happen. Will Dinero continue his quest to bring the X-Division to ECW?

Confirmed Matches
Paul Burchill versus The Hurricane
The British Invasion versus Yoshi Tatsu and Shelton Benjamin

ECW On Sci-Fi
November 3rd, 2009 | Providence, Rhode Island

The show opens up with a vide package highlighting Rhino’s return to ECW two weeks ago and his crusade to return the “land of extreme” back to its former glory. The video package shows Rhino attacking Christian, goring Abe Washington, slapping Tony Atlas and attacking various other ECW stars. The video ends with a shot of Rhino with an evil smirk on his face. We then see the opening credits and then the announcers welcome us to the show. They remind us that tonight could be the end of Paul Burchill or The Hurricane since they will face off and if The Hurricane loses, he must unmask but if Burchill loses, he must leave ECW.

D’Angelo Dinero makes his way to the ring with the X-Division Championship around his waist despite the fact that the X-Division title has been retired ever since WWE’s and TNA’s rosters merged. The Pope gets in the ring and grabs a microphone. He doesn’t get much heat but he does get some, which is fair considering not many fans know him yet. The Pope says that with all this talk of change around here, The Pope thought he’d take it upon himself to come out here and propose a little more change. The Pope says that he “Ain’t no teacher” but he’s going to give everyone a little history lesson. The Pope says that before WWE bought TNA, he became the TNA X-Division Champion, something that he worked for ever since he graced TNA with his presence.

The Pope says that as interesting as being the last TNA X-Division Champion sounds…being the first WWE X-Division Champion sounds even better. The Pope says that a lot of people ask him why he wears the TNA X-Division title around his waist for him and he says that he’ll be happy to answer that for them. The Pope says that he wears the title as a reminder, a reminder of what the X-Division is all about and what re-activating the title could do for ECW. With that being said, the ECW General Manager, Tiffany makes her way to the ring. Tiffany grabs a mic and gets right down to business. She tells Dinero that she told him last week that it is out of her hands and if the title is going to be activated it will have to be done by the Board Of Directors of Mr. McMahon himself.

Speaking of Vince McMahon…his music hits and here he is! Vince does his power strut towards the ring and Tiffany looks pretty surprised to see Vince while The Pope has a smirk and is lightly clapping for the Chairmen of the board. Vince grabs a mic himself and smiles when he says that its funny Tiffany would mention him. Vince tells Tiffany that D’Angelo came to him last week after ECW and told him about her turning him down but unlike her, he is a fair person so he gave it some thought and after thinking about it for an entire week he has decided…that he will give Dinero a CHANCE to bring back the X-Division title under the WWE banner.

The Pope looks extremely pleased as he shakes Vince’s hand but doesn’t bother to shake Tiffany’s. Vince tells Dinero that he shouldn’t be so hasty to celebrate. Vince says that he said he’d give Dinero a CHANCE to bring back the X-Division title! Vince says that he’s made a match for tonight and it will be the main event. Vince says that in this match, D’Angelo Dinero will take on…the man who is currently the only champion on the brand, the ECW Champion: CHRISTIAN and if The Pope can defeat Christian, then the X-Division title will be brought back and Dinero will be named the first WWE X-Division Champion! Dinero’s huge smile soon turns to a frown and a look of disgust. Vince says that he understands that Dinero is disappointed but he has to prove that he had what it takes to be a champion in the WWE.

Although The Pope still doesn’t look happy, he lifts the mic to his mouth and says that he’s going to blow everyone away later tonight and once he becomes the WWE X-Division Champion, he ain’t never letting go of it. Vince’s music hits again and he leaves the ring with Tiffany and Dinero standing there.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break its time for a match that could end a man’s career or ruin a mans fun, I am talking of course about Paul Burchill against The Hurricane. Burchill was the first out and he did not look happy even though he was the one that demanded this match but how could you look happy knowing that you could lose your job in a matter of seconds. The Hurricane was obviously the next out and he looked pretty happy despite the challenge awaiting him and the possible consequences of a loss. This match got a fair amount of time and both men pulled out all the stops. Burchill used his strength and size to his advantage, throwing The Hurricane around the ring like a child and The Hurricane used his speed and agility to out manoeuvre Paul like he was moving in slow motion.

Katie Lea Burchill even got involved in the match several times, trying to do everything she could to keep Paul’s job safe (Her job isn’t on the line like in real life.) The Hurricane eventually pulled out the win with the Eye Of The Hurricane after Katie tried to distract the ref and Hurricane went to tell her off but Paul tried to jump him by behind except The Hurricane saw him coming, moved and Paul bumped his sister off the apron. Paul then backed into the Eye Of The Hurricane in shock and sorrow.

The Hurricane celebrated his win as Katie sold her fall and Paul started to come to, realizing what just happened. Paul started flipping out, hammering the ring with both fists, yelling, screaming, kicking the turnbuckles and all the while, Katie looks like she’s in pain on the outside. Paul eventually started to calm down and helped his sister up, took one last look at ECW and walked behind the curtain.

Commercial Break

Up next is probably the dumbest segment in the WWE, The Abraham Washington Show! Abe comes out and tries to pump the fans up but they just boo his annoying antics. Tony Atlas laughs a few times and Abe introduces his guests, William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov. Regal is wearing a suit and sits down on Abe’s couch while Zeke and Kozlov are dressed to compete and are standing at both ends of the coach with their arms crossed. Abe gets down to business and asks Regal what his plans are now that he is out of the hunt for the ECW Title. Regal’s face twitches a bit, not really wanting to talk about the touchy subject but he corrects Abe and says that he is only out of the ECW Title hunt until Christian loses the title and he says that he’ll take care of that soon enough.

Abe looks a little confused but goes on to his next question. Abe asks Regal what the deal was with him walking out on his match with Sheamus last week. Abe asks Regal if he was afraid of Sheamus. Regal’s face twitches with suppressed anger a little more and then he calmly tells Abe that he was not afraid of Sheamus. Regal says that The Ruthless Roundtable is all about domination. Abe doesn’t really know what Regal is talking about since that has nothing to do with what he asked but he lets Regal continue. Regal says that they have been dominating ECW ever since they joined forces but Regal says that last week he saw an opportunity to make The Roundtable even more powerful. Regal says that last week Sheamus impressed him in their match and that is why he left the ring. Regal says that after Sheamus came backstage, he offered Sheamus a place in the most elite group in all of professional wrestling, The Ruthless Roundtable.

Abe looks very intrigued and asks Regal if Sheamus accepted the offer. Regal tells Abe that he’ll allow Sheamus to answer that question himself. With that being said, Sheamus comes through the curtain. Sheamus doesn’t get right to the point, instead he gives some reasoning to his decision. Sheamus says that he came to WWE to become the best in the world and to take over not only ECW but the entire WWE. Sheamus says that he CAN do that alone…but it would happen a lot faster with the help of the Ruthless Roundtable and that’s why he accepts William Regal’s offer! Regal stands up and with a big grin on his face, shakes Sheamus’ hand. The show goes to commercial with a shot of Sheamus, Regal, Zeke and Kozlov holding up each other’s arms.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break, its time for the second match of the night and it’s a tag match between The British Invasion and Yoshi Tatsu and Shelton Benjamin, two truly gifted athletes. The British Invasion dominant most of the match with their superior experience as a unit. Williams and Magnus make frequent tags in and out of the ring to keep each other fresh and isolate Yoshi Tatsu for much of the match. They eventually try to put him away with The Hostile Takeover (Bearhug by Magnus and Diving European uppercut by Williams) but Yoshi turned the bear hug into a DDT and managed to dropkick Williams out of the ring. This allowed Yoshi to crawl towards the very fresh and eager Shelton Benjamin but Magnus managed to grab his boot.

Yoshi continued to fight Magnus but Magnus wasn’t letting go but Yoshi wasn’t giving up either. Yoshi got up to one foot and smacking Magnus up side the head with a boot with a devastating enzuguri. Yoshi used the momentum to propel himself towards Shelton and…YES he gets the tag! Shelton comes in with a head of steam and hits some rights to the now standing Brutus Magnus. He shoots Magnus off the ropes and looks to hit him with a dropkick on the way back but Magnus holds onto the ropes and Shelton drops to the mat like a sack of potatoes. On the outside of the ring, Rob Terry is up to no good and he pulls Tatsu off the apron and throws him into the steel steps when the referee isn’t looking and gets the hell out of there just as the ref looks. The ref starts to check on Yoshi as Williams slides in the ring, low blows Shelton, Shelton stumbles towards Magnus, Magnus sets him up and they hit Shelton with The Hostile Takeover! The ref slides into the ring as Magnus hooks a leg and gets The British Invasion another victory!

Backstage we see Rhino walk into Tommy Dreamer’s locker room. Tommy is much less cautious as he was the last time Rhino walked into his locker room last week. Tommy is sitting on a bench, thinking when Rhino pulls a chair up right close to Dreamer and sits down. Rhino stares at Tommy who still isn’t paying him much attention. Rhino decides to speak even if Tommy doesn’t seem to be listening. Rhino says that last week Tommy chased him out of the ring with a steel chair but Rhino says he’s prepared to look passed that and what he saw just a few moments later. Rhino says that he KNOWS Tommy thought for a moment, maybe just a split moment but he thought it, he thought about wrapping that steel chair around Christian’s head, Rhino says that he could see it in Tommy’s eyes.

Tommy finally looks at Rhino and he looks a little ashamed. Rhino tells Tommy not to be ashamed and he says that he saw something last week he hasn’t seen in years…he saw a little flicker of the old Tommy Dreamer and he says that he liked what he saw. Rhino says that he gets it, Tommy’s different now and he’s probably afraid of those kinds of thoughts but he wants Tommy to set those thoughts free and he wants Tommy to do what he has to do and if that means siding with Rhino…so be it. Tommy has his head in his hands and whispers “Get out.” Rhino looks a little discouraged but he tells Tommy to think about it, pats him on the back and leaves. We go to commercial with the shot of Tommy sitting there, really thinking.

Commercial Break

When we return from the break we go backstage to ECW General Manager Tiffany’s office. Tiffany is sitting at her desk when none other then the unified tag team champions, Chris Jericho and Big Show walk in. Neither man is dressed to compete but they are rather dressed in pretty nice suits and are carrying their tag titles around with them. Tiffany stands up and smiles at Jericho and Show and offers them a handshake which neither of them accept. Tiffany asks them what brings them to ECW, she asks them if its so Big Show can attack The Dudleys when they aren’t looking. Jericho has a very small chuckle and then says that he’s here because the unified tag titles allow him to be here. Jericho asks Tiffany if she needs to be reminded that they are the unified tag teams champions and that means they can appear on any brand they want, when they want.

Tiffany says that she doesn’t need to be reminded but she wants to let Jericho know something and that is that she doesn’t appreciate her superstars being attacked and she says that she also doesn’t like that the Dudley’s are focused solely on Jerishow. Tiffany says that she fought hard to get The Dudleys and so far they’ve done nothing but play cat and mouse with Jerishow. Jericho asks Tiffany what she’s getting at. Tiffany says that next week she is going to give The Dudleys a chance to get what they want and she’s going to give herself a chance to get Jericho and Big Show off of ECW. Jericho looks confused and asks Tiffany what she’s talking about. She says that Jericho has been ducking any physical altercations with The Dudleys ever since they got here but next week she’s going to give them a chance to get their hands on Jericho and Big Show because next week we will see The Dudley’s face off against Jerishow, right here on ECW and if The Dudleys win, they will face Jerishow for the Unified tag titles at Survivor Series!

Jericho doesn’t know what to do with himself so he just says that Tiffany cant do that! Tiffany says that she can and she just did. Jericho and Show storm out of the room, leaving Tiffany smiling.

We then go into the arena where its time for the main event and it is of course a match between the ECW Champion, Christian and the possible future WWE X-Division Champion, D’Angelo Dinero. They put on a fast paced, high flying, intense, edge of the seat match with both of them going all out, Dinero fighting for the X-Division title and Christian fighting to remain the only Champion on ECW and for a little payback on Dinero for his attack last week. Dinero really went all out in this match, giving it everything he had and perhaps put more effort into it then Christian, who doesn’t really have much on the line. Dinero’s drive and determination seemed to have paid off at the end of the match when he put Christian away after taking off the top turnbuckle pad, throwing Christian chest first into the corner and then hitting the DDE for the 1, 2, 3.

Dinero snapped the X-Division title away from the ref and held the belt up like it was the world heavyweight championship! Dinero was the new WWE X-Division Champion and he displayed his happiness for that quite well, putting the title over his shoulder, holding it in the air, standing on each coner and kissing the title several times. The show closed with the shot of Dinero standing at the top of the ramp, holding the X-Division title up in the air with a huge smile on his face.

The British Invasion defeated Yoshi Tatsu and Shelton Benjamin

Friday Night Smackdown Preview

Straightedge Champion?
Tonight CM Punk will get a chance to become a four time Straightedge World Heavyweight Champion when he goes one-on-one with the man that took the title from him, The Undertaker. CM Punk has been a thorn in Taker’s side for awhile, even costing him his match against Bobby Lashley last week. What will happen when CM Punk faces off against The Undertaker? Will Punk become a Four time world heavyweight Champion or will The Phenom reign supreme?

Burning Mad
Two weeks ago Dolph Ziggler attacked Kane with a steel chair after his match with Mike Knox and last week when Kane attempted to get a little payback on Ziggler, Ziggler managed to escape. Kane is reportedly furious with Ziggler and has been seething at the opportunity to get his hands on him. Will Kane get his wish and finally get his hands on Ziggler or will Ziggler manage to stay out of Kane reach or worse, will Ziggler be the one to attack this week?

Welcome to Smackdown
Two weeks ago TNA Wrestling was purchased by WWE and two weeks ago, many former TNA stars joined the Smackdown roster including “The Icon” Sting and Eric Young. Eric Young has been nothing but trouble for Smackdown and Teddy Long since arriving on the Blue Brand and he even managed to get a match made for Survivor Series where five former TNA stars will face off against five Smackdown stars of Teddy’s picking. What kinds of tricks will Young pull out this week and will he be able to turn his team against Smackdown, WWE and Teddy Long once and for all or will his team-mates finally see his true colors?

Confirmed Matches
Matt Morgan versus Matt Hardy
Finlay versus Mike Knox
World Heavyweight Title Match: CM Punk versus The Undertaker©
