LATEST WWE NEWS AND NOTES:

-- The disbandment of ECW was a surprise to many backstage given its relative success over the years; however the reason the WWE are giving is that they wish to focus on their two main shows, in particular Raw, which was said to be getting worse. With less to concentrate on it is hoped that their flagship shows will really pick up.

-- The cancellation of ECW will not affect WWE’s Superstars show, which will continue to run as normal

-- The signings of Angel Williams and Sonjay Dutt raised a few eyebrows backstage, especially in Dutt’s case seeing as he was never a ‘big deal’ during his TNA stint. However Dutt is said to be popular due to his athletic style, and with rumours that a Cruiserweight Title could be re-introduced, he would seemingly fit right in. Dutt was also brought in to satisfy the WWE’s huge Indian market following the release of The Great Khali. Angel Williams on the other hand has sorted out her visa issues, and while she apparently had the option to re-sign with TNA, she instead opted to sign with the WWE due her treatment during her troubles. The WWE apparently see a lot of potential for her this time.

-- The signing of James Mitchell has also raised a few eyebrows, but many see him as a top manager with great mic skills, and there are rumors that he will be put together with a former ECW Superstar in the future

-- It is thought that the whole “Celebrity Guest Host” angle on Raw will end soon, possibly even on Monday Night’s Raw. Joey Lagano and Kyle Bush were set to host Raw this Monday night but had to cancel, and with no replacement announced it seems it could mark the end of the angle. One rumour making the rounds is that only WWE legends will guest host in the future, but it is still unclear with an announcement set to be made on Raw.

It's good to be back. It should take a while to get comfortable with the WWE characters after booking TNA for so long, but hopefully this will be a success. I think that's everything for now, and expect a preview for Raw to go up over the weekend.

Dan Does WWE Again Feedback!

That has to be your thread name you know that!

Anyways, the opening promo was all over the place, not in the way you wrote it but because so many people came out. There’s only a few situations that would be acceptable for a clusterfuck of a promo, and this was one. It was set up well with Cena picking his own challenger to allow everyone an excuse to come out, so that was fine. I was going to say that Cena didn’t seem himself in the first line, yet you cleared that up right away and explained it well enough as to why that was the case. I thought the characterisation was all very good, and Cena’s in particular as it went on was very good, as was The Miz’s. They were the standout ones until Vince came out, and man he was awesome. He was everything he should be, strong and forceful, leaving you in no doubt that he is the man in charge and not to be messed with. The Battle Royal sounds like a very fair way to determine a number one contender, and I hope to god it’s someone new. I bet you were fuming when you saw or heard about the Raw main event on Monday as it’s infuriating when you plan something only for it to happen IRL just as you’re about to post your own show. I’m not too keen on Kofi facing Orton as it makes it slightly unfair on Kofi going in to the Battle Royal. Miz is a good choice of opponent too for Shelton as I could imagine them putting on some good matches, and Miz could drag the better wrestler to a decent feud with his mic skills.

The Kofi/Orton match was an awesome way to start the show off. There were some great spots like the springboard counter in to the headlock backbreaker. I also had to mark for the suicide dive, and you did a grand job of having Kofi hang with Orton. You had to bring Legacy down, and with that it gives Kofi more credibility by having them out there. We’re used to seeing them come to Randy’s aid no matter what, so it didn’t affect Orton that much. The ending was great as I didn’t know what to expect. I thought a DQ was possible, and I was praying that Kofi wouldn’t lose clean with the Battle Royal coming up later on. The finish with Orton & DiBiase colliding will surely prove to be a sign of things to come, and it’s developed well straight away. Really liked this a lot Dan. Kofi’s rising up the ladder!

Shane as guest host is fine by me. I wouldn’t sure if they would acknowledge his departure on TV, but I think it’s a good idea to have him sign off with a bang.

Man, this was Vince at his absolute best yet again. You’ve got his character down to a tee. He really does leave you in no uncertain terms that he’s the boss and not to be messed with. I also liked the comedy portions with his mention of Bourne & Mysterio, that was very well done to hype up Jackson & Kozlov. Using them as a team on Raw makes sense, and also it’s brilliant that you’re ending the whole Chavo/Hornswoggle nonsense once and for all. Great end line too from Vince to finish a brilliant promo. He is a great guest host. With the job you’ve done so far, I wouldn’t mind it becoming a full time thing as you write his character brilliantly.

Out of the divas, only Gail could cut it in the ring with Melina, so you chose the right one to win, and you made look strong in doing it. Also you made her look better by not putting in any of her botches that we saw a while ago. Gail’s awesome and showing Melina taking note was a nice touch to set things up for their battle for the gold.

Oh hell yeah, DiBiase was brilliant here. I don’t think you did Orton justice when he said he wasn’t happy as that’s an understatement given he lost the title and to Kofi in 24 hours. I’m digging the idea he had of Ted becoming the chosen one and handing the title over to him as that’s going to give Orton a reason to be pissed with Ted even more and lead to the turn. What was even better was Ted standing up for himself and telling Orton exactly how he feels. The turn’s going to be great.

Great outing for Benjamin and you certainly put the emphasis on his performance. That kind of impacted on Miz looking like a bit weak in his walk out, and since he’s the United States Champion, I’m not a big fan of that decision. It does give Benjamin his spot, which was a given and does keep Miz away from a clean defeat I guess.

Well it got worked out with a decent explanation from Miz. I can see why you went with count out now, but I didn’t see the Sheamus attack coming. It looked like you were leading towards a Shelton/Miz feud for the title. That’s clearly not the case. Seeing Sheamus stamp his authority on Raw from the word go is important and shows him to be a very dangerous man. I guess that keeping his feud going with Shelton makes sense, but I’d forgotten all about it and not many people watch ECW.

The promo with Jerishow & DX was rather short but effective. It was the typical speech you expect from Jericho and was well written. Triple H’s portion was good too and also in the way that you went from it being funny to serious. It wasn’t forced either as it transcended perfectly. The comments about Orton being boring were funny, and the dressing down of Jericho was also good. The brawl wasn’t expected but it set up the Vince announcement well with Jericho scarpering away.

The match was very good and ended in the right way with Show saving Jericho. We don’t want to see Jericho lose clean on TV, and fortunately we didn’t. It was great to see Jericho get away again and save himself, showing that he doesn’t really care about anyone but himself while frustrating DX at the same time.

I very much liked that you had Cody try and be something more than just Orton’s bitch as he was left out really earlier on. The promo wasn’t just about Orton which helped for sure.

The Carlito/Masters promo seemed a bit random as it came out of nowhere with no mention of the match they’re supposedly going to be in. That’s not a bad thing as it prevents them from looking too much like a random team. I don’t think you’ll have done this just to hype up the next match. It looks like we’ll be seeing them become a team again, and if that’s the case, showing them together in the back is a good idea to make everyone wise to that.

As like the rest of the matches so far, there’s been great deal and they’ve been entertaining for sure. This was surprisingly so, and having Carlito in at the end ensured that. What was more important was that they looked like a dangerous team when they were looked to carry it on until Bourne made sure they couldn’t get at Primo. Given that Jackson & Kozlov will be coming to Raw, I’m surprised you’re setting up two heel teams at the same time when you have Jerishow too and no real face team. I’m very happy that you didn’t make Bourne look like a bitch either when you could have.

Vince did a better job of selling Swagger than Jack did himself. That’s not down to what Swagger said, it’s just that when Vince says someone’s talented, it stands out. That will do Swagger some good, I think! The Christian part was very interesting as I was intrigued as to what would happen to him and the ECW title. I’d forgotten all about that and just assumed it would be vacated. Doing something like this helps Christian and creates a lot of interest in what is going to happen with the title. It does look as if he’s going to Smackdown. His character was good too in that he didn’t bow down to Vince and showed some personality too.

I didn’t really see too much point in the MVP/Henry promo unless there’s going to be a turn. It did hype the match being next too to be fair, and it’s definitely like one of the filler reminiscent on Raw these days that generally don’t add anything. I’m sensing there’s a reason behind it though with the intention of splitting them up.

The Battle Royal was good and more eventful than I imagined. I certainly didn’t bank on Orton getting involved, and for me that stole the show ahead of MVP winning the match. Orton’s role DiBiase’s elimination were booked brilliantly in favour of Orton. It has made DiBiase’s eventual turn less predictable and shocking, which I think would have been better. This favours Orton more, and I don’t think it needed to. Anyway, I genuinely thought Swagger or Kofi would take this down. I didn’t bank on MVP taking it at all, which made it an exciting ending. Getting him away from Henry is a good idea though as he’s better than that. You can now get the best out of him, and putting him with Cena is only going to help.

I’m so happy you’re back and doing WWE. I need a WWE thread to get in to, and I have to say that I thought the promos in particular were brilliant. Vince was sensational all night long, he really was. The matches were very good too, as was the booking. There was nothing weak about the show and you’ve already set up some feuds while some have potential to get going. It was a great first show and is already my favourite WWE thread by far. Great job Dan.

So glad this is finally up. Aside from Gregory Helms, I have no issues in the people you've released and I understand why you've got rid of ECW as writing three shows is demanding. I would have preferred that over Superstars tbh as it's a good tool to develop talent before moving them to the world title scene or to Raw or Smackdown. I've got no qualms with you deciding to bring in a General Manager to Raw, but I've grown on the Guest Host idea. Whatever you decide to do, I'm easy.

Good luck Dan, not that you need it!

Monday Night Raw Preview
October 26th 2009 - Live from Buffalo, New York

Raw rolls into Buffalo this Monday night just one night after Bragging Rights. This week on Raw we will have all the fallout from the dramatic Pap-per-view, and many questions will be answered as to who will host this week's Raw, if anybody.

Last night at Bragging Rights John Cena managed to come out on top in his epic 60-minute Iron Man Match against his long-time rival Randy Orton, and due to the stipulation of the match it means that Orton will not be allowed to have a rematch against Cena. This obviously means that there is a spot in the main event waiting to be filled, and with Survivor Series looming no doubt many Raw superstars will be hoping for a chance to face Cena for the gold. We have word that the WWE Champion will open the show tonight, but what will he have to say following his hard-fought victory last night? And will we find out who's next in line for a shot at the gold?

Also this week on Raw we expect to see a former ECW Superstar fight for a roster spot in a "Raw Tryout Match". All of the ex ECW stars have been promised a chance to earn roster spots on either Raw or Smackdown with tryout matches, and tonight one of those former ECW superstars will be given his chance. ECW Champion Christian will no doubt be wanted on both Raw and Smackdown, but as of yet we have no word as to who will be competing for a spot tonight. Which former ECW star will get his chance tonight? And will he earn his place on the Raw roster with a victory?

One big talking point after Bragging Rights last night was the turn from The Big Show in the Raw versus Smackdown Bragging Rights Match, in which he cost his own team the victory after Chokeslamming Kofi Kingston. The Big Show will be at Raw tonight, no doubt alongside his partner Chris Jericho who has never passed on the chance to gloat. Will The Big Show explain his actions? And what will Chris Jericho have to say after guiding his unfavoured team to victory last night? Team Raw and it's captain's in particular, D-Generation X, will no doubt be angry after what happened too, so what will they have to say?

One match that has been confirmed for this week's Raw is a tag team match, which will feature the high-flying team of Evan Bourne and Primo taking on the team of Carlito and Chris Masters. Bourne and Primo will no doubt want to make an impression as a team and they always provide a tricky test, while Carlito and Masters will re-unite as a unit after teaming together briefly in the past. This is sure to be an exciting match, but which team will get the win? And will this lead to the winners forming an alliance permanently?

Another confirmed match this week is a fatal-four-way Diva's match between Raw's newest divas Eve, Alicia Fox, Gail Kim and Jillian, with the winner earning a future title shot against Women's Champ Melina. Last Night was not a good night for the Raw Divas as they lost to Team Smackdown, however this match will give one of the Raw Diva's the chance to bounce back and earn a chance at the title. Melina will no doubt be watching, but which of these women will win the shot?

To find out the answers to all these questions and more, don’t miss Monday Night Raw!

Confirmed for Raw

New WWE Champion John Cena opens the show

Evan Bourne and Primo vs. Carlito and Chris Masters

Women’s Title Shot on the Line: Eve vs. Gail Kim vs. Jillian vs. Alicia Fox

We find out who will host the show this week!

Thanks for the few comments I got so far, the show will be up over the next few days.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW
October 26th 2009 – LIVE from Buffalo, New York

*** Raw opens with a video highlights package from Bragging Rights last night. The video shows John Cena defeating Randy Orton in the Iron Man Match to win the WWE Title, as well as Team Raw losing against Team Smackdown due to The Big Show turning on his team. “Wanna be loved” then plays and the usual opening video is shown, we then get the usual pyro with the camera panning around the arena. We end up seeing Cole and Jerry Lawler at ringside and they talk about Bragging Rights as well as what’s in store tonight for the WWE fans. ***

*** VIDEO GRAPHIC – TONIGHT ON RAW:
-- New WWE Champion John Cena speaks on his title win!
-- Evan Bourne and Primo Colon take on Carlito and Chris Masters!
-- Former ECW Star Shelton Benjamin fights for a Raw Roster Spot!
FOR ALL THIS AND MORE – STAY TUNED! ***

*** After a few seconds “My Time is Now” blasts out to a huge mixed reaction, mostly cheers. John Cena then walks out calmly onto the stage and is dressed in his usual merchandise with his title proudly placed over his shoulder, and he makes his way to the ring with a smile on his face, although not as excited as he usually is. Cena enters the ring and is given a microphone. ***

John Cena: Thank guys. Now as I’m sure you’ll all know, last night at Bragging Rights I faced Randy Orton for the WWE Title in an Iron Man Match... and I won.

*** Pop from the crowd. ***

John Cena: This match had so much riding on it. Not only was the WWE Title on the line, but also on the line was Randy Orton’s right for a rematch.... and my right to stay on Raw. But also on the line last night was the final match of our epic rivalry, the pride, the honour, the bragging rights on our last ever match. And you’d think after winning that match with so much on the line I’d be a bit different tonight. Maybe be a little happier, a little crazier, maybe do the whole “The Champ is here thing”...

*** Cena takes a second or two and feels his ribs, felling slight discomfort. ***

John Cena: But the truth is last night took a hell of a lot out of me. Randy and I fought long, we fought hard, I feel sore, I feel bruised, and I’m sure Randy does too. But I’d be lying if I said I dominated that match last night, because the truth is I didn’t.It was close, and for that I have to give props to Randy Orton. He really took me to the limit. But at the end of the night, when everything was all said and done I did what I promised you all I would do, I beat Randy Orton and became your WWE Champion once again... AND I’M STILL HERE ON RAW!!

*** Big pop. ***

John Cena: Cena versus Orton is finished! It’s done! That rivalry is in the past! We settled it with a match for the ages, and now it’s time to move on. One of the things I’m known for is that I NEVER back down from a fight, I always want to challenge myself against the best and I always say that IF YOU WANT SOME... COME GET SOME!

Well that’s exactly what I’m saying right now, because it seems as of there’s a spot in the main event waiting to be filled. I need a new challenger, I see no point in waitin’, and I know there’s a lot of people waiting for that chance to step up, well guys.... now’s your chance. But while that may be, there’s one guy that I’d like to join me out here right now. This is a guy who I just love to watch. This is a guy who goes out to the ring every week and entertains. This is a guy who I think deserves an opportunity to step up. Kofi Kingston! Kofi, can you join me out here please?

*** After a few seconds “SOS” plays and Kofi Kingston himself walks out in his ring gear, looking slightly confused as to why he’s been called out. He walks to the ring. ***

John Cena: Kofi, the reason why I called you out here is because of last night. I’ve always said that I never give up and I never need anyone to help me... but the truth is last night, I think I did. Randy Orton had Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase out there to help him, they were beating me down, they looked in control, until ONE MAN came out to my aid... you, Kofi Kingston.

Kofi, I don’t know what would’ve happened if you didn’t chase Randy’s group out of the arena, and for that Kofi, I thank you. And you know what Kofi? I live for challenges, I live for new competition, and as I said there is a spot to be filled! So how about this... at Survivor Series John Cena defends his WWE Title against someone new, someone exciting, and someone worthy of stepping up! How about it... JOHN CENA.... versus Raw’s very own Jamaican Sensation... KOFI KINGSTON FOR THE WWE TITLE AT SURVIVOR SERIES!!?

*** Big pop with Kingston looking surprised. ***

Kofi Kingston: Wow, John, I don’t know what to say. I mean I didn’t expect anything after what happened last night in your match, all I was doing was stopping Rhodes and DiBiase from ruining that match, and –

John Cena: Whoa, what happened to you accent, man?

Kofi Kingston: Yeah, about that, it’s like I said last week - all I was doing was paying tribute to my Jamaican heritage. But you know John, I would LOVE to make that step up and challenge you for the WWE Title, it’s what I’ve always dreamed for... so John as for that challenge... I ACC–

*** Kofi is suddenly interrupted by “Get on your Knees” with Jack Swagger then walking out, cheesy grin and all. Swagger walks to the ring and collects a mic. ***

Jack Swagger: Hold on, hold on. First of all John, if you’re handing out title matches around here you should at least give one to someone worthy...

*** Heat for Swagger. ***

Jack Swagger: I mean, there is absolutely nobody who deserves a title shot more than yours truly, The All-American American Jack Swagger! I posses far more talent than Kofi Kingston, more talent than the whole Raw roster, and most importantly more talent than you John Cena, so if you’re handing out title shots tonight and if you want a real challenge, I suggest you give a shot to me... Jack Swagger...

*** “I’m Comin ” then plays to the surprise of everyone and MVP and Mark Henry walk to the ring with purpose carrying microphones. ***

MVP: Hold on a second. Big Mark and I were watchin’ in the back, and we saw this sort of open challenge for a chance to face you, John Cena, for the title at Survivor Series, and we just couldn’t let this opportunity pass. The big man and I, while we love tag team wrestling, we would love even more to have a shot at the WWE Title. So what we’re saying is, if you’re lookin’ for a challenger John, you have to consider Mark Henry... and MVP!

*** MVP is then interrupted by “Reality” and The United States Champion, The Miz, walks to the ring while laughing. Miz has a mic and enters the ring with the crowd booing him. ***

The Miz: Look at you all out here, you’re all pathetic. “Please John, can I have a title match?” “Pick me John, pick me!”. All this is laughable, because lets be honest... what have you people done to deserve a title match against John Cena? Huh? Oh that’s right, you people haven’t done ANYTHING to deserve one.

Me on the other hand... I have. I mean, correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t I the only one of us to win last night? I mean Kofi Kingston, Jack Swagger, you two lost last night at Bragging Rights, you two let Raw down, so you don’t deserve a title match. MVP and Mark Henry, one of you lost last night, and one of you wasn’t even on the pay-per-view last night! So what I’m saying is John, if you want a challenge, don’t give a title shot to these four losers, give it to someone who won last night, someone who has a proven track record against you, someone who – like yourself – is a champion, give it to me! And if you need more reasons, well, it’s simple: BECAUSE I’M THE MIZ... AND I’M... AWE –

*** The biggest surprise so far comes now as “Ain’t no Stoppin’ me” hits to a pop from the crowd. The Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin – who is without a brand after ECW was cancelled – walks to the ring with a mic as the others look on in confusion. ***

Shelton Benjamin: I can see that you’re all surprised to see me on Raw, huh? Well as you all know, ECW was cancelled last night after Bragging Rights, which means we all have to find a new home. Now I’ve been informed that I’ve got my tryout match later tonight, and if I win, then I’m a member of the Raw roster. And I was watching in the back and I figured, why wait? Right now I can see there’s a place ready to be filled, and since I’m going to be an official member of raw after tonight, I want that shot!

I’ve been on Raw before, I got some big wins, showed a hell of a lot of potential, but I never had that one match to rise to a higher level. People have always said, “Shelton Benjamin – he has so much potential”. But back here on Raw I want to turn that potential... into success. My last spell on ECW taught me a lot, and now I feel I’m ready to face – and beat – anyone, including you, Cena. So you guys better make room for the Gold Standard, because I want that shot too...

*** There is yet another interruption as “Voices” hits to the biggest amount of heat yet, with Legacy then walking out on the stage. Orton in particular looks fuming and storms to the ring, DiBiase and Rhodes in tow. ***

Randy Orton: What... in the HELL is going on out here!? I don’t know who you people think you are but there is only ONE member of the Raw roster who deserves a match for the WWE Title... and that man is ME!!

*** Heat ***

Randy Orton: But unfortunately due to the stipulation of my match last night it seems that I won’t be getting that WWE Title match... But I suggest that you people get in line, because while I can’t face John Cena for the WWE Title... Ted and Cody can, and that’s EXACTLY what they are going to do. Ted or Cody are going to win back MY WWE Title and then they are going to hand it back to me, so John if I were you I’d get on with it and announce either Ted or Cody as your opponent for the WWE Title at Survivor Series...

John Cena: So let me get this straight... you all want a shot at my title? All eight of you? So let me just think about this... we’ve got the not-so-Jamaican sensation Kofi Kingston, we’ve got the All-American American American Jack (imitates lisp) S-S-S-Swagger, we’ve got the downright AWFUL Miz, we’ve got the Pay-Per-View dodger MVP and well, I’m just not gonna poke fun at Mark Henry... we’ve got the bleached-blonde homeless golden boy Shelton Benjamin, and we’ve got the oiled-up Randy Orton clones! Wow, such choice. But you know, I think I’ve made my decision. At Survivor Series I want to face...

*** Believe it or not there is another interruption, this time by the music “No Chance”. A big mixed reaction is heard as the man himself, Vince McMahon, walks out on the stage in a fine suit, big grin on his face, he has a microphone in hand too. ***

Vince McMahon: Good evening everybody. John Cena, first of all I want to say congratulations on your title win last night, but John, I’m afraid I don’t give a damn what you’ve decided! Because in case you’ve forgotten, you’re not the General Manager! ... But unfortunately there is no General Manager tonight, because I want to make something perfectly clear to everybody... CELEBRITY GUEST HOST – IS FINISHED!!

*** Mixed reaction. ***

Vince McMahon: And that’s why I’m here tonight. From now on the Guest Host idea will continue until I decide it’s time to appoint a permanent General Manager, however from now on the Guest Hosts it will be WWE Legends, and WWE Legends only! So tonight on Raw there is going to be a WWE Legend taking control of the show... do you people want to meet him? (Pop). Well please welcome Raw’s Guest Host here tonight....

... ME!!! I’M GUEST HOST TONIGHT!! I’M VINCENT KENNEDY MCMAHON DAMMIT, AND IF I WANT TO HOST MY OWN SHOW, THEN I WILL! (He calms down). So tonight I’m going to put on a great show, and I think I’ve found a big main event that I was looking for! Tonight we’re going to have ourselves a good old over-the-top BATTLE ROYAL! It’s going to include everybody in that ring right now with the exception of John Cena... oh, and of course Randy Orton won’t be involved too...

*** Pop and laughs from the crowd with Orton looking fuming. ***

Vince McMahon: We can call it “Mr. McMahon’s Next Generation Opportunity”... because the winner will face John Cena at Survivor Series for the WWE Title! (Big Pop).

Oh and Randy, don’t think you’re getting the night off, because you’re going to be in action next! You’re going to face someone who’s very exciting to watch, someone who I think has a great future in this company, and somebody who I’m sure won’t mind wrestling twice in one night... you’re going to face KOFI KINGSTON!

*** The crowd cheers with Orton not looking very pleased whatsoever, especially after being involved in a 60-minute match last night, while Kofi smiles as we head to a break. ***

Randy Orton has teased and disrespected Kofi Kingston so far and presses him into the corner where he rocks him with a European uppercut, snapping Kofi’s head back with force. AND THEN CONNECTS WITH A DROPKICK! Orton hits the mat but bounces back up quickly, where he is then met by Kingston again who strikes him with a few double hand chops to the chest, he then feeds Orton one of his legs.... AND THEN NAILS HIM WITH AN ENZUIGIRI! Orton looks in disarray as he stumbles around off balance and falls through the ropes to the outside. Orton tries to gather his senses on the outside but he turns around to see Kofi charging across the ring.... AND KOFI DIVES THROUGH THE ROPES AND TAKES ORTON DOWN WITH A SUICIDE DIVE! The Sensation gets to his feet and yells out in passion which gets a big pop from the crowd, who love Kofi’s impressive showing tonight. He rolls the Legend Killer back into the ring and follows him in too, he then waits for Orton to get up before charging towards the ropes, where he springboards off the second rope and back towards Orton... LOOKING FOR A SPRINGBOARD CROSSBODY... BUT ORTON DUCKS!

Kingston hits the mat with force and it allows Orton to shake off a few cobwebs, and once Kofi staggers back up to his feet Orton moves in from behind, hooking his head under his arm, AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE INVERTED HEADLOCK BACKBREAKER! Orton’s face is full of rage, he is obviously angry that he hasn’t managed to put away his opponent yet, but he looks to do it now as he gets into position for the deadly RKO! The Viper slivers around the canvas behind Kingston who is slowly getting back up despite the crowd’s desperate cries of “stay down”, and soon Kofi gets all the way up and turns around... AND ORTON GOES FOR THE RKO... BUT IS PUSHED OFF INTO THE ROPES BY KOFI! Orton hits the ropes and comes back right into a flying forearm smash from Kingston! Orton climbs back up only to see Kofi springboard off the second rope in front of him, TAKING ORTON DOWN WITH A FLYING CROSSBODY! 1 . . . 2 . . . Orton pushes him off! The two race to their feet and Orton goes for a big time clothesline, but Kofi ducks underneath and grabs his opponent, TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP!

With Orton down Kofi’s eyes light up and he bounces off the ropes, he does the theatrics with the crowd shouting along, AND NAILS ORTON WITH THE BOOM LEG DROP! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Orton kicks out, just! Kofi knows that an upset is within his grasp and signals that he is going to go for the Trouble in Paradise! The crowd cheer but suddenly Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase dash down the ramp to boos from the crowd! Cody Rhodes attempts to help out his mentor and jumps onto the apron, only to be sent flying to the floor from a Kingston right hand! Ted DiBiase then jumps onto the apron too and Kofi moves towards him, but the referee gets in between the two to stop a collision! Kofi and DiBiase stand on either side of the ropes with the ref in between them, both looking into each other’s eyes ready to fight, but Randy Orton gets up behind Kofi and attempts to capitalise on the distraction! The Viper runs in on Kofi from behind... but Kingston sees it on the big screen and grabs the ref, meaning he and the ref move to the side just in time... AND ORTON KNOCKS DIBIASE OFF THE APRON BY ACCIDENT! The crowd cheers with Orton looking down at DiBiase in shock, but he then turns back around.... INTO THE TROUBLE IN PARADISE FROM KINGSTON! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3! Kofi’s done it, he’s beaten Randy Orton!
Winner: Kofi Kingston!

*** After the match the fans go crazy for Kofi who jumps around in excitement, delighted with his big victory tonight. Orton however sits up and looks fuming, looking to the outside of the ring where DiBiase is getting up too, and Orton doesn’t look too happy with his Legacy team-mate after their collision. ***

*** VIDEO PROMO:
“Here Comes the Money”
Voiceover: Next week Monday Night Raw keeps it in the family with the second WWE Legend hosting the show – none other than Shane McMahon!
Shane O’Mac will host the show in his final night in the WWE before he leaves for his new career, don’t miss his last show next week Raw! ***

*** We then switch backstage and to the office of Mr. McMahon, who is on his cell phone in the middle of a conversation. ***

Vince McMahon: You see Teddy? I told you to watch the show tonight because it’ll show you how to run a show properly. You have to have a HUGE main event, you have to make a BIG statement, but most importantly Teddy..... you can’t screw over your main star!

*** He pauses, Teddy Long is obviously saying something. ***

Vince McMahon: You know what? I’m sick of your excuses! I’ll see you on Friday Night, and you better be ready because I’ve got a few things to say to you regarding your show. Oh and Teddy, remember, you’re still on probation....

*** Vince shuts his phone but then hears a knock on the door, with former ECW stars William Regal, Ezekiel Jackson and Vladamir Kozlov then walking in. ***

Vince McMahon: Ah! William Regal! Long time! What can I do for you, William?

William Regal: Well Mister McMahon it’s nice to see you once again. But as you know sir, after ECW was disbanded by yourself, myself and the two gentlemen behind me are now without a brand. You see the reason I am here sir, is that I would like you to give Vladamir and Ezekiel here a Raw tryout match next week on Raw.

Vince McMahon: These guys want a tryout on Raw, huh? Well what makes me think I want these two men on Monday Night Raw? Did someone tell you I like big athletes, William? Because you shouldn’t believe them. I enjoy watching an Evan Bourne or a Rey Mysterio just as much as a big guy.

*** Vince looks at the two monsters in awe ***

Vince McMahon: Who am I kidding? LOOK AT THESE MEN! These men are MONSTERS! Sheer power, brute strength, ruthless aggression! You know what William? Next week these two monsters of yours are going to get their Raw Tryout Match, I assure you of that.

William Regal: Thank you, Mister McMahon. But I think you should warn all the tag team wrestlers in the back, because these two gentlemen are going to make it very unpleasant for them starting next week...

*** Regal and his followers leave the room but after a couple of seconds Hornswoggle, with Chavo Guerrero chasing him, runs into the room. Hornswoggle uses Vince as a shield from Chavo who is trying to catch him, and they then begin to run circles around the WWE Chairman who doesn’t look amused. ***

Vince McMahon: Stop it. (They continue) Stop it right now. (They still continue)... DAMMIT CUT IT OUT RIGHT NOW!!!

*** They stop dead and drop their heads in shame, while still looking towards each other slightly. ***

Vince McMahon: I see you’re having fun on Raw, Hornswoggle. It’s cute. Remember when we all thought you were my son? Yeah - horrible time.

Chavo Guerrero! It’s been a long time. You’re a great wrestler, do you know that? You’ve got that great heritage too, part of the great Guerrero family...

*** Chavo looks proud and smiles. ***

Vince McMahon: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU, HUH!? You’re an embarrassment! All I’ve seen over the last few months is a member of a legendary wrestling family... reduced to chasing around a midget like a fool! You should be ashamed of yourself, Chavo.

But you know what, Hornswoggle? You know what, little guy? You’re not my son, and you’re starting to annoy me. You’re making a mockery out of the show that I created, the flagship show of the WWE, and I don’t like it. To be honest I find this whole thing a pain in the ass!

You know what I’m going to do? I’m going to end this once and for all. Next week, here on Raw – the same night that my real son hosts Raw – the two of you are going to face each other in one last match. Yeah. It’s not gonna be any ordinary match though, no, it’s going to be a good old BELFAST BRAWL!! Oh, and the loser... will be FFFIIIIIRRREEEEDDDD!!! Go on, GET!!

*** Chavo smiles and leaves with Hornswoggle leaving looking sad. ***

Vince McMahon: Vincent Kennedy McMahon... laying down the law. Man, I’m a good guest host.

*** Vince smiles and brushes his suit. Back to ringside. ***

Fox smiles but she is turned around by Gail Kim, who nails her with some forearms before leaping into the air... AND SENDS HER FLYING WITH A HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN! Gail Kim immediately heads onto the apron and then climbs to the top rope, and once Fox gets up Kim dives off LOOKING FOR THE FRONT MISSILE DROPKICK... but Fox dodges it and Kim crashes into the mat! Winner and New No.1 Contender for Women’s Title: Gail Kim!

*** After the match Kim celebrates her win, and we get a quick shot of Women’s Champ Melina watching the TV with her title over her shoulder. Melina looks impressed and is seemingly looking forward to the challenge. ***

*** COMMERCIAL BREAK ***

*** We now switch to the locker room of The Legacy. There is a lot of tension in the room with Ted and Cody sat on the bench looking down, while Orton paces the room in front of them looking frustrated. ***

Randy Orton: Let me make this clear to you guys, especially you, Ted, I am NOT HAPPY! First of all I lose my WWE Title to John Cena in an absolute travesty of a match, and then to make things even worse... I lose... to Kofi Kingston.

I had just been through a sixty-minute minute match. SIXTY – MINUTES! Do you even know what that feel’s like? In fact, do you two even know what it’s like to wrestle for thirty minutes? That’s right – you don’t. This meant that it was up to you two to help me out earlier tonight against Kofi... but you failed me. You both failed me tonight, especially you Ted, I mean, you did absolutely NOTHING out there except for colliding with me and causing a distraction!

*** DiBiase looks up and doesn’t look happy with what Orton just said. ***

Randy Orton: So, do you know what that means, Ted? That means that you owe me. That’s right. You owe me, and you’re going to pay me back by winning back my WWE Title and handing it back to me. So tonight Ted, I’m making you the chosen one. That means that you are the one who’s going to win the battle royal, and Cody here is going to help you do that. Now you’re probably proud of yourself being the chosen one by me, aren’t ya? Well let me make this clear... I’m not picking you because I trust you more than I do Cody, oh no, far from it. I’m choosing you because you owe me, BIG TIME!

So do you understand what I’m saying to you, Ted?

*** DiBiase stands up and almost squares up to his leader Randy Orton. ***

Ted DiBiase: Oh I understand what you’re saying, but let me make something clear to you... as for this little plan... you can forget it.

Randy Orton: What did you say to me?

Ted DiBiase: I said no. What, I’m supposed to be happy that I’m your “chosen one”? I mean, anyone with a brain can see that I’m not the one who cost you your match with Kofi earlier tonight, you cost yourself the win when you ran into me. And it wasn’t too long ago when you RKO’d me in the middle of that ring and embarrassed me in front of the whole world.

So yeah, I will win this battle royal tonight, and I will go on to face John Cena for the WWE Title at Survivor Series. And you know what Randy? I’ll win that match too. But I won’t do it for you, no, I’ll do it... for me. And there’s nothing that you, or Cody, can do about it...

*** DiBiase storms out of the room with Orton looking almost speechless. ***

Randy Orton: GO AFTER HIM! TELL HIM HE’S GOING TO DO WHAT I SAY OR HE’S OUT OF LEGACY, HE’LL BE FINISHED! GO!!!

*** Rhodes darts out of the room after DiBiase while Orton sits down and smacks the bench in anger. Back to ringside. ***

Match 3
Shelton Benjamin’s Raw Tryout Match
Shelton Benjamin vs. The Miz (c)
Final Minutes:

After a bright start to the match the Gold Standard is starting to fade, with the United States Champion beginning to take control of the match. Miz strikes Shelton with a series of left hands to the skull before grabbing him by the arm and tossing him into the corner of the ring. The Chick Magnet then charges in on the corner... AND CONNECTS WITH THE JUMPING CORNER CLOTHESLINE! Miz chucks Benjamin back towards the centre of the ring and steps onto the apron himself, where he grabs the top rope while his opponent attempts to get up. With Shelton Benjamin unaware, Miz spring boards onto the top rope from the apron... AND PLANTS BENJAMIN WITH THE SPRINGBOARD BULLDOG! Shelton is in pain while The US Champ gets up and poses for the crowd, full of confidence following his big win over Morrison last night. Miz goes for a cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Shelton wants his spot on Raw and won’t give up that easily. The Miz applies a rear face lock with the knee in the back however with the crowd on his side, it’s not long before Shelton fights his way to his feet, he then nails his opponent with some elbow shots to the gut which break the hold, Shelton then turns and feeds him one leg which Miz catches and throws to the side... BUT BENJAMIN CATCHES HIM WITH THE DRAGON WHIP KICK! Miz looks off balance and stumbles around unsteadily, Shelton then follows up by shooting Miz off into the ropes... AND THEN HITS AN OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY THROW!

The Miz hits the mat hard but is up again quickly albeit holding his back in pain, The Gold Standard then Irish Whips him into the corner, before charging in himself AND NAILING MIZ WITH THE STINGER SPLASH... Miz comes stumbling out of the corner now... BUT GETS TAKEN DOWN BY A VICIOUS SUPERKICK! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Miz gets a shoulder up! Shelton Benjamin quickly steps onto the apron now, possibly preparing for his own springboard attack. Once Miz gets up Shelton indeed springs onto the top rope and dives off... LOOKING FOR A SPRINGBOARD ATTACK... but Miz sees it coming and sidesteps, only for Shelton to acrobatically adapt and land on his feet! Miz however takes advantage and grabs The Gold Standard from the side... IN POSITION FOR THE SKULL CRUSHING FINALE... but Shelton is able to wriggle free and slips behind Miz... AND SENDS HIM FLYING WITH A RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX! Shelton looks in firm control and begins to stalk the US Champion for his finisher. Miz is unsteady and takes his time getting to his feet, but once he does and turns around, Benjamin charges towards him... LOOKING FOR THE PAYDIRT... but Miz rolls out of the ring before he can hit it! The Miz grabs his title belt from ringside and then rushes around the ring and up the ramp, wanting no more of Benjamin! The Gold Standard looks angry and the crowd boo, but Miz doesn’t care and keeps going until he disappears through the curtain. Eventually the ref reaches ten and hands the win to the disappointed Gold Standard.
Winner via Count out – Earning a Raw Roster Spot: Shelton Benjamin!

*** After the bell Shelton Benjamin’s arm is raised but he doesn’t celebrate much. He smiles and points to the Raw logo on the stage, pointing out that he is now an official member of the Raw roster, before leaving the ring looking frustrated over The Miz’s decision to leave the match. ***

*** COMMERCIAL BREAK ***

*** We return in the back where we see a sweating Shelton Benjamin walking through the back after his match, when Todd Grisham runs up to him with a microphone. ***

Todd Grisham:
Shelton, Shelton! If I could just have a few words.... how do you feel after earning a spot on the Raw roster?

Shelton Benjamin: You know what Todd, despite how it just went down, I feel fantastic. I’ve been on Raw before and I had some great moments on this brand, and I’m glad to be here once again. But what you just saw is just the start, Shelton Benjamin is going nowhere but upwards from here....

*** The Miz then walks up to Shelton looking a bit angry, while Shelton shakes his head at the sight of The Miz, not impressed with him after what just happened. ***

The Miz: Look at you. You’re actually on the top of the world right now, aren’t you? Up on your high horse. But let me remind you that you didn’t beat me, okay? I just wasn’t feelin’ like a long match tonight, not after my amazing victory over John Morrison last night at Bragging Rights, and with the opportunity of a lifetime coming up later tonight. I just want you to know that when i’m in the mood for a match, I just don’t get beaten... BECAUSE I’M THE MIZ... AND I’M... AAAAWWWEEESSSSOOOMMMEEEEE!!!

*** Miz smirks and walks off with Shelton shaking his head, not very convinced at all. ***

Shelton Benjamin: Whatever...

*** BAM!!! FORMER ECW STAR SHEAMUS TAKES BENJAMIN DOWN FROM BEHIND! Grisham scarpers! Benjamin crashes hard to the floor and the Celtic Warrior puts the boots to him several times, he then lifts Shelton up and grabs him around the head.... AND FLINGS HIM AGAINST THE CONCRETE WALL! Benjamin looks ready to drop but Sheamus grabs his arm and drags him towards him.... DROPPING HIM WITH A VICIOUS CLOTHESLINE! Shelton looks out cold now on the floor and Sheamus finally stops the attack, smiling as he looks down at Benjamin. ***

Sheamus: You thought you’d escaped me by coming to Raw, didn’t ya!? Well sorry Shelton lad, but you can never escape The Celtic Warrior! And you know what? Next week on Raw I’ve got me own tryout match, and after that, I’ll be a member of Raw too. And then Shelton lad.... we can settle our problem for good. Sorry to ruin the party.

*** The Celtic Warrior walks off smiling, leaving Todd Grisham to check on a clearly injured Benjamin, who has a possibly life-changing battle royal set for later tonight. ***

*** Back to ringside and “Break the Walls Down” hits to massive amount of heat, and after a few seconds Chris Jericho and The Big Show emerge from the back. Both have their titles over their shoulders while Jericho has the big Bragging Rights trophy in his other hand, grinning broadly. Big Show is given a lot of abuse by the Raw fans due to his actions last night but they both ignore it. Jericho is handed a mic but soon changes his mood when he hears the sheer amount of boos for him and his partner. ***

Chris Jericho: Look at all you hypocrites and parasites in the crowd. You all make me sick. You’d think that New York would appreciate winners, but I guess not, as here I am – the best in the world at what I do – stood here with not only the Unified Tag Team Titles, but also this trophy which proves that Smackdown, my brand, is the superior brand, yet you boo me.

But I don’t even care that you’re booing because I know it’s because you’re jealous. You’re all jealous of my superiority, you’re all jealous that you people don’t have championship belts, that you don’t have big trophies like this one, that you don’t have a giant destroyer at your side willing to do anything you want...

That’s right. The Big Show doesn’t care about Monday Night Raw. The Big Show doesn’t care about all your hypocrites and parasites. The Big Show knows that he is part of a team with the best in the world, so what I want, is what he wants. You all booed, you all cried when The Big Show chokeslammed Kofi Kingston last night, but I thought it was brilliant! We had a plan and it worked perfectly. It was an example of pure wisdom, which is exactly what you should come to expect from a genius like myself. So –

*** Jericho is interrupted “Break it Down” and the building erupts as Triple H and Shawn Michaels, D-Generation X, walk out on the stage. HHH has a microphone and he and HBK are putting on tired faces. ***

Triple H: Sorry Chris but we thought we’d come out and save this part of the show, because lets face it, everything you say is sssssoooo boring!

*** Pop. ***

Triple H: I thought I found the most boring guy on the planet when I met Randy Orton, but man, you’d certainly give Randy a run for his money! But in all seriousness Chris, we didn’t find what happened last night very funny at all. In fact, what happened last night made Shawn and I very, very angry...Because I don’t think you would’ve won that match last night if it weren’t for The Big Show turning on Kofi. In fact, we know you wouldn’t have won that match just looking at who was on your team...
You won that match not because of your genius, not because you’re the “best in the world at what you do” Chris, you won that match simply because The Big Show... IS A TRAITOR!

*** Boos with Big Show shrugging his shoulders. ***

Triple H: And here on Raw, I don’t think we take too kindly to traitors, isn’t that right, Shawn?

Shawn Michaels: That is EXACTLY right, Hunter!

Triple H: And do you know what we do to traitors here on Raw?

... Well... WE’LL SHOW YOU!

*** The Game and HBK drop their microphones and storm down the ramp to a huge pop from the crowd, the fight is on! They slide in the ring and take it to Jerishow, Triple H takes on Big Show and knocks him back with big time right hands, while HBK takes it to Jericho and nails him with a mixture of rights to the skull and chops to the chest! They continue to brawl with Jericho and Show also getting some shots in, but HBK soon knocks Jericho back into the ropes... AND CLOTHESLINES HIM TO THE OUTSIDE! The Big Show fights back against the Game but HBK gets involved now and DX double team him, knocking him backwards into the ropes with right hands and chops, they then grab each other’s arm... AND SEND SHOW TO THE OUTSIDE WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!!! Jericho helps his partner up and the Tag Champs retreat up the ramp, with Jericho picking up his trophy and title on the way, but as they get halfway up the ramp “No Chance” blasts out with Vince McMahon walking to the top of the stage, mic in hand. ***

Vince McMahon: If I were you Jericho, I’d get your ass back to that ring right now, because I feel like seeing a match right here tonight!

*** Pop. ***

Vince McMahon: D-Generation X, as for your problems with The Big Show, I’m afraid that’s going to have to wait for now because I feel like seeing something different tonight...
Tonight I feel like seeing the best in the world at what he does, CHRIS JERICHO... one-on-one... with my son-in law “The Game”... TRIPLE H!

And that match... IS NEXT!

*** Big pop. ***

Match 4
Singles Match
Triple H (w/ Shawn Michaels) vs. Chris Jericho (c) (w/ The Big Show)
Final Minutes:

This has been one hell of a contest so far and right now it’s Jericho who’s in control, playfully kicking the grounded Triple H in the back of the head, but The Game fights back! He strikes Jericho in the midsection with right hands and begins to climb to his feet, striking Jericho with more right hands that knock him off balance, The Game then turns and runs off the ropes however Jericho does the same behind Triple H.... CATCHING UP AND PLANTING HHH WITH THE BULLDOG! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Jericho drags HHH to his feet and attempts to send him into the ropes, however The Game reverses it and sends Jericho into the ropes instead, and before he even has chance to react he runs in AND CLOTHESLINE JERICHO OVER TO THE OUTSIDE! The crowd cheers with HHH sliding outside and going on the attack, he sends the head of his opponent into the guardrail and then into the steel steps before tossing him back into the ring. Triple H jumps onto the apron and tries to step through the ropes, but The Big Show grabs his boot! It’s only for a couple of seconds but it’s enough to distract The Game who turns around and looks down at Big Show, who acts like he’s done nothing wrong, but Jericho takes advantage and runs over to the side of the ring.... KNOCKING HIM OFF THE APRON WITH THE SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK!

The crowd boos while Jericho lets out a sly grin in the ring. After a while The Game starts to climb to his feet on the outside with the aid of the barricade, but with Jericho moving to distract the referee The Big Show moves forward AND DROPS TRIPLE H WITH A HUGE CLOTHESLINE! HBK goes mental at ringside but the ref stops him from going after Show, with Jericho using the time to get HHH back into the ring. With Triple H on his back he runs into the ropes and flies back.... CONNECTING WITH THE LOINSAULT! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Shoulder up! Jericho looks frustrated and drags an unsteady Triple H back up to his feet, where he disrespectfully slaps him across the face to boos from the crowd, Jericho then turns and runs off the ropes for momentum.... BUT TRIPLE H EXPLODES WITH A MASSIVE CLOTHESLINE! The crowd cheers and it looks like The Game is coming back into this, he drags Jericho up and tries to whip him into the ropes, it’s reversed though with HHH coming back off the ropes towards Jericho who goes for a back body drop.... BUT HHH COUNTERS WITH THE KNEE FACEBUSTER!

Jericho wobbles around like crazy with The Game sending him off the ropes and back AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE DOUBLE A SPINEBUSTER! Triple H does his usual taunt before dragging Jericho up, HE THEN SETS JERICHO UP FOR A PEDIGREE.... the crowd cheers but Jericho thinks fast and hits a double leg takedown.... AND SPINS TO LOCK IN THE WALLS OF JERICHO! The crowd jeers with The Game looking in real pain, but with the referee temporarily on the wrong side of things HBK REACHES IN AND DRAGS TRIPLE H TO THE ROPES! The crowd cheers like crazy with HBK letting out a sly grin, revenge for The Big Show’s attack on The Game earlier. Jericho drags Triple H right back up and gets right in his face, talking trash to Triple H, but he gets a quick kick to the gut from Triple H WHO SETS UP FOR THE PEDIGREE ONCE AGAIN.... but before he can hit it The Big Show storms into the ring AND CLUBS HIM IN THE BACK! The ref calls for the bell!
Winner via DQ: Triple H!

*** The Big Show grabs Triple H around the throat... IN POSITION FOR THE CHOKESLAM... but HBK slides into the ring and shuffles across the ring... NAILING BIG SHOW WITH SOME SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!! Show falls backwards through the ropes to the floor with the crowd cheering like crazy! HBK makes sure that Triple H is okay and they then turn to Jericho, who is just getting up! They corner him into one side of the ring and Jericho looks scared! DX look at the fans who cheer, clearly wanting them to get Jericho as well, but as they move towards him, Jericho dives through the ropes to safety! The crowd boos with Jericho grabbing his titles and trophy, he then runs up the aisle to safety with the crowd booing. The Big Show also walks slowly up the ramp with his hand over his jaw, while DX stand against the ropes and stare out the Unified Tag Champions. It ends with Jericho and a hurt Big Show stood at the top of the ramp, with DX staring them out from the ring. ***

*** We cut to the back and we see Kofi Kingston walking through the halls, looking in a great mood after the biggest win of his career against Randy Orton earlier on. He is in his ring gear with the Battle Royal coming up and he walks through the corridors towards the drinks table, passing several WWE Workers on the way. ***

WWE Worker #1: Congratulations, Kofi!

WWE Worker #2:
Yeah well done, man,

Kofi Kingston: Thanks, guys.

*** Kofi reaches the drinks table and pours himself some water, but he soon sees Cody Rhodes walk up to him. Rhodes smirks slightly as he stands in front of Kofi. ***

Cody Rhodes: Hey, Kofi. You um, you seem like you’re in a pretty good mood right now, huh? I mean that victory over Randy earlier was a big win for you, right? Possibly the biggest win of your career so far?

*** Kingston doesn’t say anything and doesn’t look impressed, clearly sensing insincerity from Rhodes. ***

Cody Rhodes: Well done for that, seriously. I mean, it takes a lot to beat a guy who’s just come out of a sixty-minute violent brawl, right? A man whose sole focus is on winning back the WWE Title? But seriously, you should be proud because a moment like that won’t come around again.

But Kofi, I mean what I said last night at Bragging Rights, Team Raw’s loss last night, our loss... it’s all your fault. I mean we could’ve cemented ourselves as the superior brand, people like myself, people like Jack Swagger, we could’ve cemented our future legacy in this business. But thanks to you – turn or no turn from the Big Show – we lost. And Kofi, I’m not gonna forget it. So for that Kofi, over the next few weeks I’m gonna do something that I just can’t wait to do, something that even Randy couldn’t do... and that’s beat you. And as for the Battle Royal later on, I’d watch your back...

*** Rhodes smirks again and walks off, leaving Kingston to shake his head. ***

*** We switch elsewhere to a locker room where The Masterpiece, Chris Masters, is getting ready. Carlito then enters the room, apple in hand. ***

Carlito: Hey Chris, ju ready for our match?

Chris Masters: Damn right. It’s about time guys like us made a statement...

Carlito: Yeah. Chris Masters and Carlito on the same team again? Das cool.

Chris Masters: Let’s go.

*** They leave the room looking focussed. ***

Match 5
Tag Team Match
Evan Bourne and Primo vs. Carlito and Chris Masters
Final Minutes:

The high-flying duo of Bourne and Primo has taken their cocky opponents by surprise so far and it’s continuing here, with Bourne building momentum. Bourne strikes the big man Chris Masters with some martial arts style kicks to the legs and midsection, before leaping up TO SEND HIM FLYING WITH A HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN! Masters scurries to his feet unsteadily but Bourne follows up with some more kicks followed by an ENZUIGIRI! Masters crumbles to the canvas with Bourne then turning around TO NAIL A STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . Masters throws him off with relative ease. Bourne tags his partner in now and Primo immediately heads to the top rope, and once Masters turns around and gets to his feet... HE GETS TAKEN OFF HIS FEET BY A MISSILE DROPKICK! He helps Masters to his feet and strikes him with some punches over and over again, he then turns and runs off the ropes for momentum, but Carlito swipes at him from behind as he hits the ropes! Primo stops and confronts his brother on the apron who acts like he did nothing, but Primo warns his brother only to turn around INTO A DECAPITATING CLOTHESLINE FROM THE MASTERPIECE! Masters angry! Chris Masters tags in Carlito and they go on the attack, they drag Primo up to his feet BEFORE TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A HIGH-LOW ATTACK! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Kick out from Primo! Carlito looks annoyed at his brother’s resilience and drags him right back up, nailing him with vicious lefts, Carlito then runs to the ropes and bounces off the second rope... COMING BACK WITH A SPRINGBOARD BACK ELBOW SMASH!

Primo looks in trouble and Bourne desperately wants a tag in. Carlito drags his brother up , who at this point looks lifeless, and begins to tease Bourne by holding Primo’s hand out. Carlito regrets it though as Primo shows signs of life by striking his brother with left hands, over and over again with the Cool Caribbean stumbling backwards, Primo then slips behind Carlito and take him down with a neck breaker! Primo then encourages Bourne to go for the Shooting Star Press, with Bourne then climbing right up to the top rope, despite not tagging in. The crowd rises in anticipation with Bourne all set to hit it, but Chris Masters enters and charges across the ring... KNOCKING BOURNE OFF THE TOP TO THE FLOOR! The crowd boos like crazy after Masters stopped it from happening, with the ref forcing him back to his corner, but Masters justifies his actions by making it clear Bourne didn’t tag in. Carlito tags Masters though and the Masterpiece immediately lifts Primo up, APPLYING A BEAR HUG! After a few seconds of excruciating pain being applied to Primo, Carlito moves in from behind. With Carlito stood in front of him, Masters releases Primo from the bear hug... ALLOWING CARLITO TO BRING PRIMO DOWN INTO THE BACKSTABBER! Cover from Carlito! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winners: Carlito and Chris Masters!

*** After the match the team of Carlito and Masters celebrate their victory, but they don’t look like they are finished. Carlito picks up his apple from ringside and takes a big bite, before walking towards his defenceless brother who lies in the middle of the ring. Carlito looks set to spit some more apple in his brother’s face... but Evan Bourne slides back into the ring!

Bourne runs to Primo and steps in between the duo and Primo, defending his partner with his fists up ready to fight! Carlito and Masters look taken aback by Bourne’s intensity and bravery, and soon back off and leave the ring. Bourne doesn’t let his guard down until they are a safe distance away and then checks on Primo, with Masters and Carlito smirking slightly as they back up the aisle, now satisfied with what they’ve done. ***

*** We then cut to the interview set where Todd Grisham is stood with Jack Swagger. The crowd boos as the sight of the All-American American, who has a big grin on his face. ***

Todd Grisham: Jack Swagger, up next it’s the Battle Royal featuring Eight Superstars who are waiting for the chance to step up, are you confident that you can be the man to earn the WWE Title shot here tonight?

Jack Swagger: Absolutely. You see Todd, you just said that there are eight guys wanting to step up and face John Cena at Survivor Series, but the truth is there is only one man that is ready to step up, and that man is me. I’m the All-American American, I posses more talent than anybody else in the battle royal tonight, and I’m going to go out there right now... and prove it.

*** Swagger smiles, but Vince McMahon then walks into the shot which surprises Todd Grisham. Vince smiles at Swagger and shakes his hand. ***

Vince McMahon: Nice to meet you Jack, I’ve been impressed with you here on Raw. Keep it up, and good luck for the match next...

*** Swagger smiles and walks off, with Vince then looking at Grisham. ***

Vince McMahon: He’s a talented kid...

*** Vince’s attention is then diverted and he looks down the corridor in horror, the camera then turns around to reveal ECW Champion Christian walking down the corridor with a smile on his face. Christian has his title over his shoulder and stops to shake hands with some workers, until Vince McMahon walks up to him, not looking to happy. ***

Vince McMahon: What do you think you’re doing?

Christian: Wow, you look a little stressed out, Vinnie. Bad night?

Vince McMahon: I said what are you doing?

Christian: Well since you cancelled my show last week for – let’s face it – no good reason, I need a new brand. So I’m just here to check out Raw you know, I wanna make sure that me and my title end up on the right brand...

Vince McMahon: The right brand, huh? Well let me make this easy for you Christian... you and your title, you won’t be coming to Raw.

*** Massive heat is heard from ringside. ***

Vince McMahon: I cancelled ECW for a reason, and quite frankly I’m not sure if I want that title around on my shows anymore, especially not Raw. So Christian, if you want to come to Raw without that title, then by all means do so, but as long as you’re holding that title, there’s no place for you here on Raw. In fact, why don’t I just take that title of yours now, and then I’ll make a tryout match for you on Raw next week...

*** Vince reaches for Christian’s belt but Captain Charisma shockingly grabs his wrist before he can grab it, causing the crowd to cheer from ringside. ***

Christian: You know what, Vince? Maybe Raw isn’t right for me after all. But let me tell you something: if you want to take this title away from me – the title that I worked so hard for and fought so hard to defend – then you’re going to have to get yourself an army... because I’m not giving it up easily. I’ll see you around, Boss.

*** Christian smiles slightly and walks back towards the exit, with Vince looking on in total shock. ***

*** We cut to the back and to the locker room of Mark Henry. Henry puts his second boot on and is now ready when MVP enters the room. ***

MVP: You ready, man?

Mark Henry: Yeah, I’m ready.

MVP: Hey, I just wanna tell you somethin’. Listen, while I love teamin’ wit’ you and everythin’, I’ve been waitin’ for a chance to step up for a long, long time. And tonight, I hope you know that it’s gonna be every man for himself out there, ‘cause I want that title shot badly...

Mark Henry: Oh I understand, don’t you worry ‘bout that. But if I were you, I’d watch out too, because I’m gonna do some serious ass kickin’ out there and put myself exactly where I belong... in the main event.

MVP: A’ight man, see you out there.

*** They slap hands and leave the room. ***

*** We then see a shot of WWE Champion John Cena walking through the corridors on his way out to ringside for commentary. ***

*** VIDEO PROMO – BATTLE ROYAL, TITLE SHOT ON THE LINE, NEXT!!! ***

Main Event
Eight-Man Over-the-Top Battle Royal
Participants:
Mark Henry, MVP, Kofi Kingston, Shelton Benjamin, The Miz, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger
Winner Gets Title Shot at Survivor Series
* WWE Champ John Cena on Commentary *
Final Minutes:
All eight guys have been giving it their absolute best to eliminate each other, but so far no one has been eliminated with them all so intent on staying in. John Cena has been praising all of them on commentary by pointing out each guy’s strengths, but it’s clear that Shelton Benjamin is struggling following his assault at the hands of Sheamus earlier. Also, it’s clear that Ted DiBiase still feels the same as he did earlier as he has so far refused to go along with Cody Rhodes’ plans. Right now big Mark Henry grabs the arm of Cody Rhodes and sends him into the corner, he then charges in AND HITS HIM WITH A HUGE RUNNING SPLASH! Rhodes slumps down and Henry turns around, only for the All-American American Jack Swagger to stomp him in the gut... AND HE PLANTS THE BIG MAN WITH A DDT! Swagger climbs to his feet but is met by Henry’s partner MVP who strikes his former rival Swagger with a series of right hands before CONNECTING WITH THE KNEE-FACEBUSTER! MVP is then turned around by Ted DiBiase however who shoots MVP off into the ropes... AND THEN HITS HIM WITH A SCOOP POWERSLAM! DiBiase is then confronted by Kofi Kingston who nails him with a series of right hands over and over again, Kofi looks set to connect with a move however The Miz runs in from behind AND PUSHES KOFI WITH FORCE INTO DIBIASE! The two clash heads and drop to the mat, with Miz then turning to see the only other man on his feet, Shelton Benjamin!

Miz moves towards Benjamin – who is clutching his neck after Sheamus’ assault – and strikes the Gold Standard with a series of left hands, HE THENS SETS UP FOR THE SKULL CRUSHING FINALE... there is fight left in Benjamin though as he escapes the move and hits Miz with right hands and kicks to the gut, he then takes a few steps back for a run-up before charging in... LOOKING FOR THE PAYDIRT... but Miz thinks fast and grabs the top rope to stay upright... SO SHELTON CRASHES HARD INTO THE MAT! Miz smirks and drags him up quickly, and then tosses him over the top rope and to the floor with ease! Shelton Benjamin has been eliminated by The Miz. John Cena says that Shelton never stood a chance after the backstage assault from Sheamus, but the show must go on. The Miz is suddenly attacked by Jack Swagger and the two begin to trade right hands near the ropes, over and over again with very little give, but suddenly MVP charges across the ring... AND STRIKES MIZ WITH ONE HELL OF A BIG BOOT – SENDING HIM OVER THE TOP WITH FORCE! The Miz has been eliminated by MVP.

MVP attempts to eliminate Jack Swagger too but the All-American American overcomes MVP and knocks him to the canvas with a clothesline. Swagger then walks over to Kofi and the two begin to fight it out. Swagger comes out on top in the punching battle and quickly sets up for the powerbomb, HE THEN LIFTS KOFI INTO THE AIR FOR THE GUTWRENCH POWERBOMB... but Kofi counters with a hurricanrana, sending Swagger over the top rope! The All-American American is able to cling on however and remains on the apron, but once he turns around he sees Kingston swivel and dive at him... KNOCKING SWAGGER TO THE FLOOR WITH THE TROUBLE IN PARADISE! Jack Swagger has been eliminated by Kofi Kingston. Swagger is livid on the outside and shouts at Kofi who smiles, but Cody Rhodes runs up from behind and dumps Kingston over the top rope in a flash! What a cheap tactic! Kofi Kingston has been eliminated by Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes immediately picks off the scraps, stomping down onto the fallen Henry and MVP to make them stay down, before returning to a corner where Ted DiBiase sits. Rhodes helps DiBiase up and makes it clear that it’s down to two teams: Mark Henry/MVP, and Rhodes/DiBiase. Rhodes tells DiBiase that they should work together, but DiBiase shakes his head! The crowd cheers for the show of defiance, while Cody Rhodes pushes DiBiase in the chest and shouts at him; telling him that it’s what Randy Orton wants, to which DiBiase replies “I meant what I said earlier”. Rhodes looks angry and pushes DiBiase again in frustration... BUT DIBIASE TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A HUGE RIGHT! Rhodes jumps to his feet holding his jaw in shock, asking DiBiase what he’s doing, but DiBiase takes him down with a clothesline! Ted then lifts Rhodes up and sends him off the ropes.... AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A DROPKICK!

The crowd is loving it when DiBiase lifts Rhodes up again, AND PREPARES TO TOSS RHODES TO THE OUTSIDE... but Randy Ortondashes down the ramp and gets DiBiase’s attention! DiBiase lets go of Rhodes and looks at Orton, who shouts at DiBiase to do what he told him to do, but DiBiase shakes his head and shouts “I’m doing this for myself” to Orton. They continue to argue it out, but Rhodes suddenly sneaks up behind DiBiase AND THROWS HIM TO THE OUTSIDE!!! Ted DiBiase has been eliminated by Cody Rhodes. Orton looks down at DiBiase who lies next to him almost with a trance-like look, with his evil eyes looking down at the man who defied him. Orton then looks up at Cody Rhodes, and smirks at him! Rhodes smirks too with Orton then walking up the ramp and through the curtain.

Rhodes is taken aback however when he sees Mark Henry directly behind him, full of intensity! Cody Rhodes tries to reason with the big man to no avail... AND IS TAKEN DOWN BY A FULL BODY BLOCK FROM THE BRICK WALL THAT IS HENRY! The World’s Strongest Man then picks Rhodes off the mat like he’s nothing, he has him across his chest in the same position he’d hold someone for the World’s Strongest Slam, and moves to the ropes to try and toss Rhodes out. Henry has trouble though from the resilient Rhodes, and even though Henry has Rhodes held on top of the top rope, Rhodes clings on with his dear life! Rhodes is slipping down however he is bringing Henry with him, as the big man is only on his tip-toes in the ring as Rhodes is pulling him over the top rope with him, but suddenly MVP runs in from behind and grabs the tree-trunk like leg of his partner, AND MANAGES TO THROW HENRY AND THEREFORE RHODES TOO OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH THEM TUMBLING TO THE FLOOR! Cody Rhodes and Mark Henry have been eliminated by MVP. MVP HAS DONE IT!!!
Winner – Earning a Title Shot Against John Cena at SS: MVP!

*** After the match the crowd cheers for MVP who celebrates in the ring. MVP gets up onto the ropes and does his “Ballin’” with the crowd still cheering, but Mark Henry doesn’t look happy as he sits down on the floor. MVP soon turns his attention to John Cena at the announce table, and Cena then stands up and lifts his title into the air. The two men then stare at each other, both smiling and looking forward to the competition as Raw comes to a close. ***

WWE News and Notes

Following his victory over The Miz via count out in his tryout match on Raw, Shelton Benjamin is now an official member of the Raw Roster, becoming the first former ECW Star to find a new home after ECW was disbanded. It is expected that the team of Ezekiel Jackson and Vladamir Kozlov will get a tag team tryout match next week on Raw after William Regal arranged it with Vince McMahon, and it is also thought that Sheamus will get his Raw Tryout Match next week on Raw too. As for ECW Champion Christian, after he was given a not-so-warm welcome by Mr McMahon on Raw, it is now expected that he will go to Smackdown.

Former TNA Manager James Mitchell is expected to appear on Smackdown this week. Mitchell is going to be put with a former ECW Star with the hope of eventually helping him become a star, and it is thought that Mitchell will hype the wrestler’s return on Smackdown.

As for the other wrestlers that the WWE signed recently, most are expected to be kept off TV for at least another month or so. Angel Williams has a lot of support backstage but she is learning the WWE style again for now, while Bryan Danielson and Sonjay Dutt are being kept off TV until the company finds something for them. Umaga, however, is expected to return in a matter of weeks, and it is thought that he will be involved in the Survivor Series PPV, as Vince McMahon in particular is a big fan of his still.

Vince McMahon announced on Raw that the guest host idea will continue for the time being, but it will be WWE Legends only hosting the shows. Shane McMahon was announced as next week’s Guest Host and his sister Stephanie has also expressed an interest in hosting a show. The company has also contacted some former employees over the possibility of hosting a show such as JBL and Ric Flair, as well as current employees such as the injured Edge. It is not thought that the Guest Host idea will continue for longer than a couple of months however as there are plans to appoint a permanent General Manager soon.

Speaking of Edge, his recovery from an Achilles injury is going well and it is thought that he could return at the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View. It was thought at one point that he wouldn’t even make Wrestlemania, however Edge has made it clear that his target is The Royal Rumble and he will make it.

WWE Superstars Results - Recap
October 29th 2009

*** OPENING VIDEO AND PYRO ***

Match 1
Jamie Noble vs. Jack Swagger

This was a surprisingly competitive match as Jamie Noble managed to get in quite a bit of offence in, including a close near fall following a leg lariat. However just days removed from Monday Night Raw – during which Jack Swagger was unsuccessful in becoming the new number one contender – The All-American American had a lot of frustration built up and soon took control of the match. Swagger ended up dominating the final stages of the match and punished Noble with a variety of moves before finally finishing him off with the Gutwrench Powerbomb for the win.
Winner: Jack Swagger

*** COMMERCIAL BREAK ***

Todd Grisham then caught up with WWE Champion John Cena backstage, with the crowd immediately cheering loudly. Cena looked in high spirits as Grisham asked him how it felt to be on Superstars once again and what sort of a challenge he expects from Smackdown’s Dolph Ziggler later tonight. Cena replied by saying how happy he was to compete on Superstars this week, saying that he didn’t get a chance to wrestle on Raw this week. He then went on to say that he knows Dolph Ziggler and he has been impressed with him whenever he’s watched Smackdown, saying that he expects a tough challenge from the kid later tonight. Cena however says that he won back his WWE Title last Sunday and he feels better than ever, so Dolph Ziggler better be prepared for a battle later tonight.

Match 2
Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Drew McIntyre

This match was another lively encounter as Jimmy Wang Yang started the match off really well, catching the Scotsman with a number of high-flying moves. However once Drew McIntyre took control of the match following a vicious big boot, it was all downhill for Yang from there. McIntyre ended up toying with his opponent and used the opportunity to show what he’s all about by connecting with some dangerous moves, before finally picking up the victory with the deadly snap double-underhook DDT.
Winner: Drew McIntyre

• Kofi Kingston picking up a huge win by defeating Randy Orton, after Randy Orton accidently collided with Ted DiBiase and knocked him off the apron
• Vince McMahon on the phone to Teddy Long and telling him that he’s got a lot to say to him on Smackdown this week. We then see the WWE Chairman making a “Loser is Fired Match” between Chavo Guerrero and Hornswoggle for Raw next week
• Randy Orton shouting at Rhodes and DiBiase backstage and telling DiBiase in particular that he’s going to win the battle royal and go on to win the WWE Title from John Cena, so that he can pay Orton back by handing over the title. DiBiase then rejecting Orton’s plan and storming out with Orton in shock.
• Shelton Benjamin earning a Raw Roster spot by defeating The Miz via count out in his tryout match. Former ECW Star Sheamus then attacking Benjamin backstage and leaving him in a bad state ahead of the Battle Royal
• Triple H beating Chris Jericho via DQ after The Big Show got involved before a huge brawl ensued with DX eventually coming out on top
• Vince McMahon showing ECW Champion Christian the door after Captain Charisma attempted to take a look around with the possibility of getting a tryout match on the brand
• MVP winning the Over-the-top Battle Royal to win a shot against John Cena at Survivor Series, after eliminating his partner Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes to win the match. During the match Randy Orton distracted Ted DiBiase which allowed Cody Rhodes to eliminate him from behind.

Main Event – Interpromotional Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena (c)

This was a chance to shine for Dolph Ziggler and he certainly made a good impression in this non-title match against the WWE Champion. The match went on for quite a while and although Cena managed to connect with a lot of his signature moves, the youngster Ziggler always managed to stay in the game one way or another. Ziggler had his own period of dominance too and at one point came close to hitting the Zig Zag, however the experienced Cena managed to grab the ropes to make sure he didn’t fall victim to the move. That mistake proved costly for the youngster as Cena went on to hit his usual signature moves while full of adrenaline, hitting Ziggler with the five knuckle shuffle followed by a huge Attitude Adjustment. To make matters worse for Ziggler, the WWE Champ then applied the STF and despite a brave fight from Ziggler, he eventually tapped out.
Winner: John Cena

*** After the match The WWE Champion celebrated another win on WWE Superstars and raised his WWE Title aloft, possibly sending an early message to MVP, who won his title match against Cena just days before. The commentators also praised Ziggler for the performance he put in against the WWE Champion and said that he certainly has a bright future in the WWE. ***

Friday Night Smackdown Preview
October 30th 2009 – From Rochester, New York

Just five nights removed from Bragging Rights Smackdown rolls into Rochester, New York, with the whole roster no doubt feeling good after earning the Bragging Rights against Raw last Sunday. With all the fallout from the pay-per-view and with Halloween just one night away, it’s sure to be an exciting edition of Smackdown!

The man behind Smackdown’s glory last Sunday night was Chris Jericho, and the Unified Tag Team Champion is never afraid to brag about his success. Jericho turned up on Raw Monday night but he was soon interrupted by D-Generation X, but Jericho will be at Smackdown and he promises to deliver his “victory speech” with no interruptions this time. What will Jericho have to say after guiding his team to victory at bragging Rights? And will he enjoy his DX-free night on Smackdown?

Also last Sunday at Bragging Rights The Undertaker retained his World Heavyweight Title in a Fatal Four-way match, just days after retaining his title against CM Punk on Smackdown. CM Punk however is said to be livid with the result at Bragging Rights and he has promised to open to show, claiming that he has something to get off his chest regarding the result. What will CM Punk have to say?

A big talking point from Bragging Rights is no doubt Batista’s assault on his best friend Rey Mysterio, after Batista claimed that Mysterio betrayed him in the World Title match. Batista viciously attacked Mysterio and left him lying in pain which shocked everyone inside the arena. We have word that both men will appear on the show one way or another, but how will Rey react? And will Batista explain his actions?

The WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will also appear on Smackdown this Friday Night, and according to what he told Teddy Long over the phone on Raw, it appears that he has a lot to say to Teddy Long. Vince also turned ECW Champion Christian away from the building on Monday Night and it’s now rumoured that Christian will come to Smackdown, but the WWE Chairman will not be happy about the ECW Title coming onto one of his brands. What will Vince have to say to Teddy Long? And will Christian turn up on Smackdown, and if so, will he get a tryout match?

To find out the answers to all these questions and more, don’t miss Smackdown!

*** The arena then goes silent for a few seconds with the crowd eagerly anticipating who will come out first, but suddenly “The Fire Burns” hits to a huge amount of boos from the crowd. CM Punk then walks out onto the stage dressed in his ring gear with a t-shirt over the top and he then walks down to the ring looking in a surprisingly good mood after his loss last Sunday. Punk is handed a microphone and begins to look around the arena. ***

CM Punk: You all seem to be in a pretty good mood tonight. I can see all your faces in the crowd, you’re all smiling, you’re all looking happy. Now I wonder why that is. Is it because you’re so happy that Team Smackdown won their match against Team Raw last Sunday? No, I don’t think it is, I think it’s down to something else. I’m gonna go ahead and assume that it’s got something to do with The Undertaker retaining his World Title last Sunday at Bragging Rights...

Yeah, I thought that might have something to do with it, that and all the alcohol and pills you’ve probably put into your system. But you know, over the past few days all I’ve heard from people is “Who’s gonna challenge The Undertaker now?”. You’re all speculating, you’re all predicting, you’re all thinking of all these new guys who could possibly rise up and challenge for the title, but the truth is you couldn’t be further from the truth. Because last Sunday proved absolutely nothing, The Undertaker did not beat me last Sunday, and the only guy who’s going to get a title shot next... is me.

*** Heat. ***

CM Punk: But you know I’ll admit it: The Undertaker has gotten the better of me in the past. He beat me at Hell in a Cell, I admit that, and then somehow he defeated me last week, and he even escaped with the belt last Sunday. But you know, I’ve never felt so good after losing before in my life...

I can see your weak minds ticking over, confused looks on your faces, you’re trying to work that one out, aren’t ya? I mean who would be happy after losing, right? Well you see I’m not as angry as usual after a loss because recently I’ve seen something, I found out something which just makes me smile.... I’ve seen The Undertaker weaker than he’s ever been before.

*** Boos ***

CM Punk: The Undertaker struggled last week against me, he was in pain, he clearly had multiple injuries and he wanted to end it quickly before his body gave up on him. The Undertaker has gotten lucky recently, just as he did last Sunday when he took advantage of me being outside the ring, but his luck is about to run out. And I think you people fail to realise one important thing.... I’m still here.

I’m still here, I’m still standing, I’m ready to fight, and as lame as it may be.... I’ve still got my soul. That kinda shows how much of a fraud The Undertaker is, doesn’t it? I mean aren’t I supposed to be missing right now? Aren’t I supposed to be lying in a grave with my soul taken? But the thing is I haven’t, I’ve walked into his back yard, and I’ve walked out of too. He may have escaped with my title, but I escaped with everything else intact.

*** More boos ***

CM Punk: Now I’m gonna let everyone know now that I’m going to get another match against The Undertaker. If Teddy Long won’t do it, I’ll go higher up. And when I get my match I’m gonna take my title back, and most importantly Undertaker, when you confront me with all your mind games and all the rest of it, I’m gonna do something I should’ve done at Hell in a Cell, that I should’ve done at Bragging Rights.... and just.... say.... NO!

I mean I seem to be the only one who can see The Undertaker for what he really is around here. You people may be impressed by all his mind games, the smoke, the flickering lights, the lame catchphrases, but not me. And you all have to accept that the Undertaker will not be holding on to MY title for long.... I’m just telling you now so you can gather together some alcohol, so you can run to the chemist and buy some pills so that when ‘Taker loses you can drown your sorrows like you weak people do... and –

*** Punk is suddenly interrupted by “Just close your eyes” to a pop from the crowd, and ECW Champion Christian walks out with a smile on his face and his title over his shoulder. He makes his way to the ring looking into the crowd for his peeps, while Punk looks confused in the ring. Christian is handed a mic and stands in front of Punk. ***

Christian: Just say no, huh? That’s uh, that’s catchy. But correct me if I’m wrong Punk, but isn’t that what all these fans say to you each and every week on Smackdown?

*** Pop ***

Christian: I’m here tonight for my tryout match later on, and everythin’ here on Smackdown seems to be perfect. There are some talented guys in the back, just last Sunday the brand proved that it was better than Raw, and then there’s all my peeps in the crowd... But there’s one problem with this brand... and that’s you.

*** Pop. Punk shakes his head. ***

Christian: I’ve been watchin’ Smackdown for a long time and all I hear from you is excuses, and preaching. Excuses as to why you’re not the World Champion, excuses for your losses against The Undertaker, and all your boring preaching about this so-called Straight Edge lifestyle that you follow...

I mean when are you going to realise that nobody cares, Punk? Nobody cares for your pathetic excuses, nobody cares for your preaching of this boring way of life that you follow, and I don’t think that anybody really cares about you...

*** Big pop while Punk shrugs it off, his face then turns to a confused look. ***

CM Punk: ... Wait, I know you... you’re Edge’s brother, right?

*** Heat. Christian grins a little despite that remark. ***

CM Punk: I mean seriously Christian, were you expecting me to wither down and cry or something? You think your petty little insults; your pathetic pandering to these fans was going to upset me? I think you’re forgetting that I’m not one of these weak-minded people in the crowd, I don’t run home and pop a bottle of pills after someone makes a joke about me. I’ve dealt with people like you before Christian, you can make fun of my lifestyle all you want but I know that deep down it’s the best way to live, but I think you should starting showing the only three-time straight-edge World Champion in history a little respect...

Because you’re right Christian: I am a problem here on Smackdown for you. I’m too honest, I’m too strong-minded, and frankly I’m too good for everybody on this roster. And if you join this roster, and that’s if Christian, after I’ve taken back my World Title I may become a big problem for you...

Christian: A big problem for me? Well sorry Punk, but from where I’m standin’ you don’t seem very intimidating at all. In case you’ve forgotten Punk, you’re not a Champion, and to be honest I think you need to start showing Champions like me some more respect...

*** Big pop while Christian smiles smugly. ***

CM Punk: Oh really? Champions like you, huh? Oh that’s right, you’re the ECW Champion. Sorry about that, I guess I kinda forgot about it since it means pretty much nothing. I don’t care about the ECW Title as I’m setting my sights a lot higher. And you say that I’m not a Champion? Well it’s like I said, that will change very soon Christian, and I can’t wait for that moment so I can tell you, and each and every one of these people... I told you so...

*** Suddenly Teddy Long walks out of the entrance ramp with a mic, with both guys turning in surprise. ***

Teddy Long: CM Punk... that’s a whole lotta’ talk for a guy who lost two title matches in a row last week! You say you want another title match Punk? Well I say I gave you enough opportunities, and you don’t deserve another!

*** Big pop while Punk looks angry. ***

Teddy Long: And as for you Christian, welcome to Smackdown! Now I know you want a tryout match tonight and you’re gonna get it, but although you’re an ECW Champion, I want to make sure that the very best come onto this show, so I want to give you a big test tonight Christian, and I think I’ve found it! Tonight in Christian’s Smackdown Tryout Match, it’s gonna be CHRISTIAN... one on one... with CM PUNK!

*** The crowd cheers for that and Christian and Punk step towards each other and get in each other’s face, both guys obviously looking forward to the match. ***

*** COMMERICIAL BREAK ***

Match 1
Non-Title Match
John Morrison (c) vs. Charlie Haas
Final Minutes:

Right now Haas nails Morrison with some big right hands before grabbing his arm to shoot him off into the ropes, the IC Champ then comes back and Haas goes for a back body drop only for Morrison to counter with a kick the face. Haas’ head flies up and Morrison grabs him and takes him to a seated position with a snap mare takedown, Morrison then bounces off the ropes and back AND NAILS HAAS WITH THE RUNNING KNEE STRIKE! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Morrison doesn’t look too disheartened and drags Haas back up to his feet, he then turns and jumps onto the second rope AND FLIES BACK FOR A CROSSBODY BLOCK... but Haas is able to catch the lighter Morrison across his chest... AND SENDS HIM FLYING WITH A MASSIVE OVERHEAD BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX! The crowd shrieks and Haas immediately hooks the leg. 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Morrison gets his shoulder up! Haas drags the Guru of Greatness to his feet and goes right back on the attack, knowing just what a win over the IC Champ would do for him.

He nails Morrison with some European uppercuts before lifting him up and connecting with an inverted atomic drop, then with Morrison holding his groin area Haas runs off the ropes... AND FLIPS HIM INSIDE OUT WITH A STIFF CLOTHESLINE! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Morrison gets a foot on the rope! Haas, like a shark that smells blood, goes right back on the attack and drags his opponent up. Haas then applies a rear waist lock LOOKING TO GO FOR THE GERMAN SUPLEX... but Morrison fights it with elbows to the side of the head until Haas releases his grip, The Friday Night Delight then quickly moves to the ropes and leaps up... he springboards back AND NAILS HAAS WITH THE FLYING CHUCK! Haas drops and Morrison covers! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Kick out! Morrison is shocked that Haas could kick out and quickly drags him towards the corner, looking to finish it off.

With Haas near the corner Morrison gets in position AND SIGNALS FOR THE STARSHIP PAIN... but Haas somehow reaches to the side and trips Morrison up by grabbing his foot, Haas then climbs to his feet and applies a hold, LOCKING IN THE ANKLE LOCK ON MORRISON! Everyone is surprised at Haas pulling out this move but he has it synched in tight with no give, but somehow Morrison quickly rolls forward... sending Haas rolling forward after him AND MORRISON HOLDS ON IN A PINNING POSITION! 1 . . . 2 . . . Haas kicks out! The two men race to their feet but Haas slips behind Morrison... LOOKING FOR A GERMAN AGAIN... but Morrison breaks it with elbows again and then whips Haas into the ropes... BEFORE TAKING HAAS DOWN WITH A SPINNING WHEEL KICK! With Haas down again he drags him towards the corner, grabs the ropes and leaps into the air... NAILING HIM WITH THE STARSHIP PAIN!!! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Intercontinental Champion John Morrison!

*** After the match Morrison gets his arm raised and he looks in pain following that surprisingly tough victory, but behind him we see Charlie Haas getting up, and he doesn’t look happy to say the least! Haas has an incredibly intense look on his face and he quickly races forward... AND SMASHES INTO MORRISON FROM BEHIND! The Friday Night Delight falls to the mat and the crowd boos, but Haas doesn’t care! He scares the ref off and then drags Morrison to his feet from behind. Haas then grabs Morrison around the waist... AND SENDS HIM FLYING WITH A VICIOUS FLIPPING RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX!!! The impact of that move is huge and Haas jumps to his feet and yells out with frustration. The crowd boos at the sight of Haas stood over Morrison, who is writhing in pain, and Haas then picks up the IC Title and raises it into the air, making his intentions perfectly clear. ***

*** We switch to Teddy Long’s office where former ECW General Manger Tiffany is stood beside Teddy Long, surprisingly looking quite happy despite losing her job earlier in the week. ***

Tiffany: Thank you so much for making me your Assistant again Teddy, I really appreciate it.

Teddy Long: That’s not a problem, Tiffany, it’s great to have you around again here on Smackdown.

??: Teddy Long!!

*** The camera zooms out a little and Vince McMahon walks into the shot, with a smile on his face while Teddy Long looks very uncomfortable by his presence. ***

Teddy Long: Mister McMahon, uh, hello sir. I didn’t think you’d be here so soon...

Vince McMahon: Are you saying you don’t want me here, Teddy?

Teddy Long: No, no! That’s not what I mean at all Sir, its great havin’ you here. How are you feelin’?

Vince McMahon: There’s no need for small talk Teddy. Oh, congratulations on winning the Bragging Rights match last Sunday, keep it up. But what I want to know is what you thought of Monday Night Raw this week, the show that I hosted?

Teddy Long: I thought it was great sir, I really enjoyed it.

Vince McMahon: Good, that’s what I wanted to hear. Wait (Looks at Tiffany)... don’t I know you from somewhere?

Tiffany: Yes Sir, I was General Manger of ECW... before you cancelled it. Now I’m Teddy’s assistant here on Smackdown...

Vince McMahon: Assistant? Good for you. So Tiffany, why don’t you be a nice little assistant and run off and get me some coffee?

*** Tiffany doesn’t look best pleased but quickly smiles and exits the room, at which point Teddy Long becomes even more uncomfortable. ***

Vince McMahon: Anyway Teddy I want to talk to you about something. I wanna know one thing from you Teddy... WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING OUT THERE, HUH!?

Teddy Long: Uh, what do you mean, Sir?

Vince McMahon: I’m talking about embarrassing CM Punk – a great role model for this company – in front of the whole world! What, screwing The Undertaker over wasn’t enough for you? It’s things like this which show why you’re still on probation!

Teddy Long: I’m sorry Sir, I just don’t feel that CM Punk deserves another title opportunity...

Vince McMahon: Oh really? Well let me make things clear to you Teddy, I like CM Punk. I think CM Punk is a superb athlete, and he’s also a great role model for our fans. I would much rather have someone like CM Punk as the face of Smackdown, than a washed-up, Deadman like The Undertaker... I’ll leave you to think about that situation... Oh and Teddy, I almost forgot... what made you defy me by allowing Christian here on Smackdown with his ECW Title? Did you not see my feelings about that title on Raw?

Teddy Long: I... I did sir, but one of Christian’s conditions for having a tryout match here on Smackdown was that he could keep his ECW Title, Sir.

Vince McMahon: Well let me make this clear to you too, while I like CM Punk... I don’t like the ECW Title on my shows. You think about those two things, Teddy.

*** McMahon leaves, leaving Long to ponder with Tiffany then entering again with coffee. ***

*** We now go to the announce table to Todd Grisham, who says he’s about to talk to Rey Mysterio. The man himself then appears on the big screen to a pop from the crowd. Rey is sat on a chair in a studio, but doesn’t look happy after the assault he received from Batista just days ago. ***

Todd Grisham: Ladies and Gentlemen please join me in welcoming Rey Mysterio, who is currently in our studios in Stamford. Rey, I understand that this is a tough time for you which is why you chose to stay away from Smackdown tonight, but what is your reaction to what your friend Batista did to you last Sunday at Bragging Rights?

Rey Mysterio: First of all Todd, I just want to let everybody know that I am not scared of Batista and I am in no way hiding from him. I chose to stay away from Smackdown tonight simply because I still have this hope, this wish that we can still be friends. After what happened last Sunday there’s no telling what could’ve happened between us tonight, which is why I decided to stay away. But to answer your question Todd, I’m not angry for what Batista did, I’m not hurt, I’m not even feelin’ betrayed... I just feel disappointed.

I feel disappointed because I thought Dave and I were best friends, Familia, but it seems as if Dave no longer feels like that. I’m disappointed that Dave lost his temper and lost his ability to think rationally, because no matter what he says... last Sunday I didn’t betray him, it was every man for himself. I’m disappointed at what happened last Sunday, but I’m hopin’ that we can put in behind us. Dave and I, we’re brothers, and I know that both of us can put it behind us, forget about it, and move on. I’m prepared to do that.

*** Suddenly “I Walk Alone” blasts out to a massive amount of heat, and Batista walks out from the back, dressed to compete. Batista has a mic and walks to the ring while staring back at the big screen with contempt. ***

Batista: Look at you on that screen, you’re pathetic. Rey, last Sunday when I saw you stabbing me in the back and betraying me I thought you were nothing more than a coward, and lookin’ at you up on that screen, sat in a nice cosy studio in Stamford, it just makes me realise even more how much of a coward you are.

*** Boos while Rey shakes his head. ***

Batista: You’re not staying away because you want the dust to settle, no, you’re staying away because you... are afraid. But you know what Rey? You should be scared. I thought you were my brother, my best friend, my family, but you showed your true colours by costing me the World Title last Sunday night. And for that Rey... you’re gonna pay.

As for you pathetic little hope that we can put this behind us, nice try, but that isn’t gonna happen little man. We are no longer – and never will be – friends. What I did to you at the Pay Per View was just the beginning, and I’m not gonna stop until I take you out for good. And if you want a little example of what’s going to happen to you when you finally show up here on Smackdown, just watch my match next...

*** There is a long pause with Rey looking disappointed, but he then disappears from the screen and “What’s up” then plays to a pop from the crowd, and R-Truth bursts out from the back looking excitable as ever. He makes his way to the ring signing his song lyrics, while Batista doesn’t look impressed at all. R-Truth eventually ends up in the ring where he does his usual thing. ***

R-Truth: ROCHESTER, NEW YORK...

*** Pop. ***

R-Truth: WHAT’S U-

*** BATISTA RIPS HIM IN HALF WITH A SPEAR BEFORE HE CAN FINISH!!! The crowd boos like crazy as R-truth writhes around in agony on the mat, clutching his ribs in pain with Batista just looking down at him in a trance. The Animal grabs the referee and shouts at him to ring the bell, and the referee soon does! ***

Match 2
Singles Match
R-Truth vs. Batista
Final Minutes:

Batista has dominated it from the very start and his domination is continuing here. He lifts Truth up and strikes him with a couple of big rights before sending him into the corner, The Animal then runs in AND NAILS HIM WITH A CORNER CLOTHESLINE! R-Truth stumbles out of the corner and Batista scoops him up onto his shoulder, turns, AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE FRONT POWERSLAM! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Truth somehow kicks out! The Animal looks shocked and drags him right back up to his feet, where he quickly lifts him up AND CONNECTS WITH A MASSIVE SPINEBUSTER! Batista wastes no time and drags him back up again, he places his head between his legs and then powers him into the air... AND HITS THE BATISTA BOMB!!! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3! R-Truth never stood a chance!
Winner: Batista!

*** After the match The Animal raises his arms into the air to boos from the crowd. He then looks into the camera and points back to R-Truth, saying the words “that’s what’s gonna happen to you, Rey!” before walking to the back. ***

*** COMMERICAL BREAK ***

*** We go somewhere backstage where Josh Matthews is standing by with Matt Hardy. ***

Josh Matthews: Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome my guest at this time, he was part of the victorious Smackdown team last Sunday at Bragging Rights... MATT HARDY!

Matt Hardy: Hey, Josh.

Josh Mathews: Matt, you and your family have had a tough time recently for many reasons, but how did it feel to be part of the Smackdown team that defeated Team Raw last Sunday?

Matt Hardy: You know what Josh, you’re right. I have had a tough time recently, I haven’t exactly enjoyed the past few months and neither has my family, but last Sunday night was the start of the resurgence of Matt Hardy. You see myself and the other members of that team earned our way onto that team, and no matter how we did it, we earned the victory. It was a huge win for myself and this brand, and it’s only upwards from here...

*** He is suddenly interrupted when Dolph Ziggler walks into the shot, smiling smugly. ***

Dolph Ziggler: Hey, Matt. Uh, Josh, you’re not needed here anymore, go on, go.

*** Matthews scurries away. ***

Dolph Ziggler: You see Matt, Josh isn’t needed here anymore because I’m gonna ask you the questions from here. I’ve got a question for you now... how did it feel to actually win full-stop last Sunday? I mean a win for Matt Hardy, they don’t come around too often, right Matt?

Matt Hardy: That’s funny, but um, didn’t you lose just last night on Superstars?

Dolph Ziggler: Well yeah, but it was John Cena, and you ask anyone and they’ll tell ya that I took Cena to the limit last night; you haven’t taken a Champion to the limit in your entire career. Anyway second question Matt: how does it to feel to know that you shouldn’t even have been on that team in the first place? I should’ve been on that team!

Matt Hardy: Are you kidding me? You know what Dolph, I’m not even gonna answer that question because it’s clear to me that you’re just another arrogant punk who thinks he’s better than everyone else. The fact is I earned that spot, and maybe you should earn the right to talk to people like this before you do... because kid, most guys in the back don’t even know your name...

*** Matt walks off with Ziggler nodding his head slightly, looking like he took in what matt just said, but as Hardy walks off ZIGGLER PUSHES HIM STRAIGHT INTO THE WALL! Hardy falls and Ziggler stomps on his body a few times until he doesn’t get up. ***

Dolph Ziggler: From now on I am not gonna be a laughing stock for anyone, and it’s about time you and everybody else took me seriously... oh, and the name... is DOLPH ZIGGLER!

*** Ziggler walks off leaving Hardy holding his face in pain. ***

Match 3
Christian’s Tryout Match
Christian (c) vs. CM Punk
Final Minutes:

Christian has been giving it absolutely everything so far to earn a roster spot on Smackdown but CM Punk has gained control. Punk nails Christian with some forearm shots to the face however Christian attempts a fight back and strikes Punk with some big right hands of his own which wobble Punk, the ECW Champion then turns and runs off the ropes and back however Punk scoops him off the mat and flips him around... BRINING HIM DOWN INTO A TILT-A-WHIRL BACKBREAKER! Christian is in pain and Punk hooks the leg! 1 . . . No! Christian wants the roster spot bad and will not give up, but Punk goes back on the attack and sits Christian up... AND DELIVERS A SCINTILATING KICK TO THE SPINE! Christian arches his back as the pain shivers up his spine, Punk then lifts Christian all the way up and Irish whips Christian into the corner. With Christian in the corner Punk then runs in... but Christian thinks fast and swivels to throw his legs between the ropes... AND FIRES BACK WITH THE PENDULUM KICK TO THE FACE! Punk stumbles out of the corner holding his face and Christian runs off the ropes AND TAKES OUT PUNK WITH A SPEAR! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No!

Christian wants to keep it going and drags Punk up, he nails the Straight Edge Superstar with some painful chops to the chest multiple times and then turns and runs off the ropes... BUT PUNK SMOOTHLY LIFTS CHRISTIAN ONTO HIS SHOULDERS FOR THE GTS... but Christian struggles and lands on his feet behind Punk, where he hooks his head under his arm AND PLANTS PUNK WITH THE INVERTED FACELOCK BACKBREAKER! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Christian thought he’d earned his place on the roster there and runs his hands through his hair in despair. Christian drapes Punk on the second rope and then stands on his back to choke him out, Christian then steps off and runs towards the ropes looking to come back and dive onto Punk... but the Straight Edge superstar sees it coming and darts away from the ropes and towards the onrushing Christian... NAILING HIM WITH A SIDE KICK TO THE GUT! Christian holds his gut and Punk then shoots him into the corner and runs in after him... STRIKING CHRISTIAN WITH THE RUNNING HIGH KNEE! Punk then applies a side headlock and charges out of the corner... PLANTING CHRISTIAN WITH THE RUNNING BULLDOG! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No!

The crowd pops while Punk looks angry, he’s determined to make sure that Christian doesn’t come to Smackdown. Punk drags Christian up and places his head between his legs and hooks his arms behind his back... LOOKING FOR A DOUBLE-ARM BACKBREAKER... but Christian drops Punk to the mat with a double leg takedown... AND THEN CATAPULTS PUNK INTO THE CORNER! Punk’s head crashes against the top turnbuckle and he stumbles backwards out of the corner... CHRISTIAN THEN GRABS HIS ARMS AND TURNS HIM AROUND FOR THE KILLSWITCH... but Punk pushes him forwards to reverse, and straight into the referee! The ref turns his back and holds his face in pain, while Christian then turns back around... INTO A KICK TO THE GROIN FROM PUNK! Christian drops to his knees in agony and the crowd boos, while Punk grins knowing that the referee didn’t see it! Punk takes his time and drags Christian up where he lifts him onto his shoulders... LOOKING FOR THE GO TO SLEEP AGAIN... BUT THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!! The crowd pops and they quickly come back on, and Punk still has Christian on his shoulders but he looks really shocked! Punk looks towards the entrance confusingly but the distraction costs him as Christian slides down his back AND MANAGES TO ROLL HIM UP! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Earning a Smackdown Roster Spot – ECW Champion Christian!

*** After the match the crowd goes wild with Christian rolling to the outside and raising his arms into the air! Christian is handed his ECW Title and celebrates while Punk goes crazy in the ring, he pounds the mat out of frustration and yells out in anger, knowing that this was thanks to his rival The Undertaker. ECW Champ Christian doesn’t care though and walks up the ramp looking delighted, raising his ECW Title high too. ***

*** To the interview set where Josh Matthews is standing by with The Hart Dynasty ***

Josh Matthews: I am now joined by Tyson Kidd, DH Smith and Natalya, The Hart Dynasty. Guys, how did it feel to be on the winning team at Bragging Rights?

Natalya: You know Josh, my boys are delighted that they were on the winning team last Sunday and they’re delighted to have represented Smackdown. But you see that’s just the start for The Hart Dynasty.

Tyson Kidd: Yeah. You see Josh, that victory last Sunday made us realise just how much we want to be the best, just how much we want to wrestle with the likes of DX, Chris Jericho, The Big Show and others on a regular basis. For too long we’ve been settling for obscurity, and it’s about time that we realised our potential.

DH Smith: That’s right. I’m the son of the legendary British Bulldog, myself and Tyson both learned our skills in the legendary dungeon. And our girl Natalya, she’s the daughter of the legendary Jimmy Neidhart. We have greatness in our blood and we have the potential for great things, and it’s about time we stepped up and realised them.

Natalya: I know that our great relatives won’t have been proud of some of the things we’ve done, but they will have been proud of last Sunday when we we’re on the winning team. So tonight Josh, tonight marks a change for The Hart Dynasty, no more tricks, no more sneaky tactics, just straight-up wrestling. And tonight my boys are gonna mark that change by finally ending it with Cryme Tyme for good, and ending it... with a victory.

*** They walk off looking confident. ***

*** COMMERCIAL BREAK ***

Match 4
Tag Team Match
Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty (w/Natalya)
Final Minutes:

Right now JTG is taking on Tyson Kidd and is on top, JTG nails Kidd with some forearm strikes to the face and then leaps up... TAKING HIM DOWN WITH A DROPKICK! Kidd climbs to his feet only to see JTG tagging in big Shad, and the big man races into the ring and takes Kidd down with a running shoulder tackle! Shad helps Kidd to his feet and then Irish Whips him into the ropes... he then scoops him off the mat AND PLANTS HIM WITH A SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Shad almost looked surprised that DH Smith didn’t interfere there, but Smith raises his arms as if to say “We’re not like that anymore”. Shad drags Tyson Kidd up but the smaller man fights back bravely, striking Shad with shots to the gut and kicks to the hamstrings, Tyson Kidd then feeds Shad one of his legs... AND NAILS HIM WITH A STEP-UP ENZUIGIRI! Kidd almost toppled the tree there but Shad is still up, so Kidd calls in the help of DH Smith! The big man from the Dynasty races into the ring and takes Shad off his feet with a shoulder block of his own! Shad climbs to his feet and looks angry but he is suddenly hit by a flurry of rights from Smith, who then shoots Shad off into the ropes... AND THEN TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A BIG BOOT! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . No! Shad kicks out!

DH Smith then tags back in Tyson Kidd, who remains on the apron until Shad gets to his feet. Once Shad is up Tyson Kidd springboards onto the top rope and DIVES OFF LOOKING FOR A CROSSBODY... BUT SHAD CATHCES HIM ACROSS HIS CHEST! With Kidd in a vulnerable position the big man Shad then tosses him over his head onto his back... AND CONNECTS WITH A HUGE SAMOAN DROP! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . WHO RUNS INTO A BIG BOOT TO THE FACE FROM SMITH! DH Smith had Kidd’s back right there and they signal for their finisher! Smith lifts JTG up while Tyson Kidd steps onto the apron, Kidd then leaps onto the top rope and jumps off... AND THEY CONNECT WITH THE SPRINGBOARD HART ATTACK!!! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: The Hart Dynasty!

*** After the match The Hart Dynasty hug each other and celebrate like crazy, clearly delighted to have won this match after promising so much. They also don’t seem to be getting as many boos as before. ***

*** A video hyping Raw then plays, saying that Shane O’Mac will host next Monday’s show ***

*** “Break the Walls” hits with the crowd suddenly booing like crazy, and after a few seconds Chris Jericho walks out from the back in a sharp suit. Jericho has a grin on his face and carries his title belts on one shoulder and holds the Bragging Rights trophy in his other arm. He collects a mic and stands in the middle of the ring. ***

Chris Jericho: Now listen you gelatinous tapeworms, tonight is a very special night here on Smackdown, as tonight is my very special victory celebration.

*** Heat. ***

Chris Jericho: You people shouldn’t be booing me, you should be cheering me. Last Sunday night at Bragging Rights I led my team into battle, and while my team didn’t quite live up to my high expectations it didn’t matter, as I was able to single-handedly lead my team to victory. I am a hero here on Smackdown. If I wasn’t on that team last Sunday, Smackdown wouldn’t have won. I proved exactly why I am the best in the world at what I do, and how much of a genius I really am last Sunday night.

*** More boos. ***

Chris Jericho: All I’ve been hearing is excuses from all the Raw fans. All I’ve been hearing is “it wasn’t fair, The Big Show chokeslammed Kofi Kingston and cost Team Raw”, but to be honest it’s all pathetic, almost as pathetic as the lives of all you hypocrites and parasites in the crowd.

*** Boos. ***

Chris Jericho: Because last Sunday wasn’t a betrayal on the behalf of The Big Show, no, it was loyalty. It was loyalty to me, he respects me, and he knows that I am the best in the world at what I do. The Big Show knew that it was better to stick with me, Chris Jericho, than fight for a team led by a couple of immature miscreants like DX. They can use the excuse of The Big Show’s attack all they want, but great wrestlers like me, Mental Masterminds like me, we learn to expect the unexpected. That is what sets guys like me apart from the rest of the roster, and that is why I... am great.

*** More heat. ***

Chris Jericho: Now as you can see I am carrying a very large trophy tonight. This trophy is the Bragging Rights trophy, and I’ve had guys like Matt Hardy, guys like The Hart Dynasty come up to me and ask for a chance to hold this trophy, but I said no. I said no because they didn’t deserve it. The rest of my team were mere extras, mere spot-fillers, as there was only one man responsible for winning last Sunday, and it was me. So I am the only one who deserves to hold this trophy, and holding this alongside my Championship belts just proves how good I am...

Now last Monday Night on Raw as I attempted to speak, like a great winner deserves to do, I was rudely interrupted. But tonight I am glad to say there will be no interruptions, and I have all the time I want out here tonight. Now I think that I deserve a great round of applause here tonight, so I think that all you sycophants should show me the respect that I deserve by giving me a huge round of applause, that is if your inferior minds can somehow work out how to master the clapping motion.

*** The crowd don’t agree and continue to boo, angering Jericho. ***

Chris Jericho: Fine. You know what? Somehow I knew that you people wouldn’t clap me, because lets be honest, you don’t appreciate greatness. You’re all in denial, you’re just like the ignorant hypocrites on Raw who prefer to cheer for guys like DX. But you should all at least shut your mouths and let me speak, as...

*** Teddy Long’s music plays again and the General Manager once again makes his way out to the top of the ramp, once again looking to sort things out, while Jericho looks frustrated. ***

Teddy Long: Chris Jericho, I apologise for the interruption, but it seemed as though these great Smackdown fans were gettin’ fed up of hearin’ you talk, so I just had to come out here right now. Chris, well done for the victory last Sunday night, you made Smackdown proud. But let me just correct you, because you didn’t do it all alone, as Kane, The Hart Dynasty, Finlay, Matt Hardy and R-Truth had just as much to do with it as you did! So that trophy Chris, it isn’t yours, it belongs to the whole Smackdown team.

*** Pop. ***

Teddy Long: Now just a while ago I was considering puttin’ you in action tonight Chris, but I was talking to Mister McMahon and it seems he’s a big fan of yours, and he thinks that you deserve the night off, and I agreed...

*** Boos from the crowd. ***

Teddy Long: But I’ve changed my mind! You’ll be pleased to know that Mister McMahon has left the buildin’ Chris, and I think that you should show us why you’re the best in the world at what you do, by facing off against one of your teammates last Sunday night! This man came to me for a match against you, he feels like you’re disrespectin’ the whole Smackdown team by claiming you did it single-handedly, and he wants to prove you wrong tonight! So tonight, it’s gonna be you, CHRIS JERICHO... and you’re gonna go one-on-one... with FINLAY!

*** Jericho doesn't look happy. ***

Teddy Long: Oh and Chris, bein’ the best in the world ‘n all, I thought you wouldn’t mind puttin’ on a different kind of match tonight. So tonight it’s not gonna be any ordinary match, it’s gonna be a BELFAST BRAWL!!

*** Teddy Long smiles and the crowd cheers, before leaving Jericho angry in the ring. ***

*** COMMERCIAL BREAK ***

*** We switch back to Teddy Long’s office. Tiffany is stood on her own when a man walks in to the surprise of Tiffany. The man is in a dark suit and has long, dark hair with a beard, as well as carrying a cane. ***

Man: Hello, you look lovely this evening.

Tiffany: Erm, thank you.

Man: Do you know where I can find Teddy Long?

*** Teddy Long now walks into the room. ***

Teddy Long: Can I help you?

Man: Ah yes, Theodore. My name is James Mitchell, I’m a wrestling manager.

Teddy Long: Um, okay. What can I do for you?

James Mitchell: Well Teddy I am here because my latest client is looking for a roster spot here on Smackdown, so I have come here to arrange for a tryout match for him next week, and I assure you that it’s in your best interest to give him one.

Teddy Long: Who is it? Do I know him?

James Mitchell: Oh you know him, he was in ECW not so long ago. But I’m afraid that the man you knew from ECW is no longer the same. You see my client came to me recently because he was struggling here in the WWE, he felt that his potential was not being met. I informed him that to improve he must undergo a change, and since he came to me he has done just that...

I have transformed this man into a monster. He is now a vicious, dangerous, unpredictable force who can only be controlled by me. If you choose to sign this man then it will be a very good decision for yourself, but it will become very bad for the superstars on this roster.

Teddy Long: So... You want me to give a tryout match to a dangerous, vicious and unpredictable monster?

James Mitchell: Teddy, I am trying to be polite. It’s like I said: It’s in your best interest to give my client a tryout match next week on Smackdown...

???: You’ve got it!

*** They all turn around and Vince McMahon walks into the room smiling. ***

Vince McMahon:
I don’t know who you are, or who your client is, but this man sounds brilliant! Just the type of superstar I just love to see! And I’m sure Teddy would like to see this man on Smackdown too, right Teddy?

Teddy Long: ... Yeah. You’ve got it. Next week your client will have a tryout match.

James Mitchell: Thank you. And thank you, Mister McMahon, I’ve got a feeling that you’ll like my client very much indeed. Oh, (shakes Tiffany’s hand while smiling) it was lovely to meet you too.

*** James Mitchell leaves the room and McMahon’s face turns to slight anger. ***

Vince McMahon: So, you’d thought I’d left the building, did you Teddy? Well I haven’t. And to be honest I don’t appreciate you stealing my ideas. I booked a Belfast Brawl for next week’s Raw just a few days ago, and the next thing I know you too have booked a Belfast Brawl for tonight’s main event. Do you even want to get off probation?

Teddy Long: Yes, sir.

Vince McMahon: Well you better start showing it. Oh and Teddy, I saw Christian earning a place on Smackdown just moments ago with his ECW Title, and I don’t like it. You know what I wanna see next week on Smackdown, Teddy? I want to see Christian defend that ECW Title right here on Smackdown next week, and if he loses that title, then the title is finished! It’s retired! Am going to see that match next week on Smackdown?

Teddy Long: ... um, yes sir.

Vince McMahon: Good. Oh and Teddy, let me remind you that I don’t want to see that damn ECW Title on my shows anymore, so if I were you, I’d pick Christian’s opponent next week very carefully...

Teddy Long: Sure, Mister McMahon. Next week Christian will defend his ECW Title against... Kane.

*** McMahon lets out a sly little smile, before walking out of the room satisfied. Teddy Long breathes out a big breath, the stress of trying to please Mister McMahon is clearly getting to him. ***

Match 5
Singles Match
Slam Master J vs. Drew McIntyre
Final Minutes:

Slam Master J is not having a good time this week on Smackdown at all as McIntyre is making an example out of him here. Just like on Superstars this week, Drew McIntyre is impressive and sets Slam Master J up in a suplex position... AND NAILS HIM WITH A SNAP SUPLEX! McIntyre drags his opponent back up and scoops him off his feet into a front slam position, he then drives Slam Master J down back-first onto his knee a number of times to punish him BEFORE SENDING HIM FLYING WITH A FALLAWAY SLAM! The Scotsman is not yet satisfied and drags the now lifeless Slam Master J up and hooks his arms behind his back, the Scotsman takes a few seconds and grins evilly BEFORE PLANTING HIM WITH THE DOUBLE-ARM DDT! Cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Drew McIntyre!

*** After the match McIntyre gets his arm raised but looks far from happy, obviously still not satisfied with the competition he’s been getting. ***

*** We switch to the back where Mickie James is seen picking up some food from the catering table, when Michelle McCool and her friend Layla walk up to her. ***

Michelle McCool: Hey, Layla, look it’s Mickie James...

Layla: Eeeewwww.

Michelle McCool: You lookin’ forward to the Halloween Party tomorrow night, Mickie? I mean, you don’t have to dress up do you?

Mickie James: Very funny, Michelle. What do you want?

Michelle McCool: Well Mickie, you seem pretty happy here on Smackdown and it seems that you think you’ll eventually take this title off of me, so I thought i’d come and let you know that it just isn’t gonna happen...

Layla: Uh-uh.

Mickie James: Oh really? Well what I’ve noticed Michelle, is that everybody on Smackdown hates you and just can’t wait to see you lose that title. It doesn’t matter what you say or do, because when I get a shot at your title, I’m telling you now... I’m gonna take it. So you and your little follower can take a walk...

Layla: What did you call me? I’m not her follower, we’re friends, okay?

Mickie James: Whatever Layla, but if you really wanna get involved with this, then you better be prepared too because I’ve got no problem taking you out as well...

*** Beth Phoenix is seen passing by, and decides to take a detour and walks up to the three ladies, with McCool and Layla especially looking uncomfortable. ***

Beth Phoenix: You all seem to like talking, maybe I’m the only one around here who does my talking in the ring. It doesn’t really matter what either of you say, because you’re both wrong. It won’t be Michelle McCool as the Women’s Champion for much longer, and we won’t even see Mickie James winning that belt, because I’m taking that title...

Next week I’m in action and I think you should watch, and after you see me in action for the first time here on Smackdown... I dare you to tell me I’m wrong. See you around, girls.

*** Phoenix leaves and so do McCool and Layla, leaving Mickie to think things over. ***

Main Event
Belfast Brawl
Finlay vs. Chris Jericho (c)
Final Minutes:

The fighting Irishman Finlay has given Chris Jericho one hell of a fight so far and it’s continuing here. Finlay backs Jericho into the corner and pummels him with right hand after right hand to the skull over and over again until Jericho slumps down against the bottom turnbuckle. The referee forces Finlay away from Jericho in the corner and the delay costs him as when Finlay moves back towards Jericho, the Unified Tag Team Champ lifts Finlay off the mat... AND HANGS HIM THROAT-FIRST ONTO THE TOP ROPE! Finlay stumbles backwards holding his throat in pain and Jericho takes advantage, he runs off the ropes behind him AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE RUNNING BULLDOG! With Finlay down Jericho then leaps onto the second rope AND COMES BACK WITH THE LIONSAULT... BUT FINLAY GETS HIS KNEES UP! Jericho holds his midsection in pain and backs up against the ropes, Finlay though then charges in at full pace AND HITS JERICHO WITH A CRAZY CROSSBODY DIVE... SENDING THEM BOTH TUMBLING TO THE OUTSIDE! Finlay drags Jericho to his feet and goes on the attack, he sends him face first into the apron and steel steps!

Finlay goes and grabs a steel chair then walks back towards Jericho who is leaning against the steel ring post. FINLAY THEN SWINGS THE CHAIR AT HIM... BUT JERICHO DUCKS! A loud thud is heard but Jericho slides into the ring to escape from Finlay, who then jumps onto the apron with the steel chair still in hand. Finlay attempts to re-enter the ring with the chair but the experienced Chris Jericho charges across the ring and bounces off the second rope... DROPKICKING THE CHAIR INTO FINLAY’S FACE AND SENDING HIM TO THE FLOOR! The tough Irishman climbs to his feet on the outside of the ring but Jericho takes advantage and races across the ring... NAILING FINLAY WITH A BASEBALL SLIDE AND SENDING HIM CRASHING INTO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Jericho grins while Finlay holds his back in pain, the so-called best in the world at what he does exits and tosses Finlay back into the ring, Jericho then follows him in and picks up something from the corner of the ring, IT’S FINLAY’S SHILLELAGH! The crowd boos while Jericho grins sinisterly; he waits for Finlay to get up AND THEN SWINGS THE WEAPON AT HIM... BUT FINLAY DUCKS!

Jericho turns around in shock but gets a boot to the gut from Finlay, who then grabs the shillelagh from Jericho... AND THEN SMASHES HIM ACROSS THE MIDSECTION WITH IT! Jericho falls to his knees clutching his ribs in agony, while Finlay drops the weapon and exits the ring. The Irishman has a rummage under the ring again and then re-enters again, this time with a trash can in hand! Finlay enters with it and lifts it above his head, he then races at Jericho wielding the trash can... but Jericho thinks fast and connects with a drop-toe-hold... SENDING FINLAY CRASHING FACE FIRST INTO THE TRASH CAN! Jericho then drags Finlay up and also picks the can up, he then places the trash can over Finlay’s head and slides it down until it reaches his hips, with Finlay defenceless Jericho then picks up the shillelagh... AND SMASHES IT AGAINST THE TRASH CAN AND FINLAY’S BODY! There is a huge thud but Jericho quickly drops the shillelagh and leaps up... BRINGING FINLAY AND THE TRASHCAN DOWN INTO A HUGE CODEBREAKER! Jericho holds his knees for a second and then pulls the trashcan off of Finlay’s head and makes the cover! 1 . . . 2 . . . 3!
Winner: Chris Jericho!

*** After the match Jericho is handed his title belts and he celebrates with a big grin on his face, he knows he showed just how good he is tonight. ***

*** Everyone thinks the show’s over once Jericho leaves, but “The Fire Burns” plays to heat from the crowd and out to the ring walks a frustrated-looking CM Punk. ***

CM Punk: Hold on everybody, the show is not over, I have something very important to say...

*** Lots of boos. ***

CM Punk: Earlier tonight I had a match against Christian, and thanks to the so-called Phenom The Undertaker, I lost that match...

*** Pop. ***

CM Punk: You’re all happy about that, aren’t ya? In fact I know Christian is sat in the back smiling, knowing that he’s earned his spot on Smackdown, too. But let me make something crystal clear to you and your infected minds: I only lost that match because of The Undertaker.

*** Lots of boos. ***

CM Punk: It’s obvious that I hurt The Undertaker earlier tonight with my words, I hurt him so much that he had to do the old flickering lights routine and distract me. I mean, how childish is that? Yet you people cheer this man? I thought this man was supposed to be scary, I thought he was supposed to be the Deadman, yet tonight he resorts to distracting me and causing me to lose just because I dared to not be taken in by all his act?

Well let me tell you all something, The Undertaker – like all of you – is pathetic. So tonight I am out here once again in protest to what happened earlier tonight.

*** Heat. ***

CM Punk: I will not allow this to happen to me again. The Undertaker is doing the best he can to eliminate me from the title scene, he knows that I will take his title off him so he’s doing the best he can to make sure I don’t get my rematch. But I’m afraid that no matter what you do ‘Taker, no matter how much flickering lights you unleash on me, I am gonna get my rematch, so somebody might as well give me it right now...

*** Suddenly we hear a loud gong and the lights go out, The music of the man himself then plays and The World Heavyweight Champion, The Undertaker, walks to the ring towards CM Punk with a microphone. He steps into the ring with the crowd cheering, while Punk tries to remain calm. ***

The Undertaker: CM Punk... you claim that I am afraid of you, yet as I stand in this ring before you... it is clear that it is you, who is afraid... You thought that you were being brave tonight by talking about me, but Punk, all you have done is opened the gates of hell...

*** Pop. ***

The Undertaker: If you want a shot at the World heavyweight Title then all you have to do is step up into the eyes of the Deadman, but I’m warning you. You may have escaped before, but next time, you won’t be so lucky... and you will... REST... IIIIINNN.... PPPEEEEEEAAAACCCCEEEEEE!

*** Once again General Manager Teddy Long walks out to the top of the ramp, looking to sort things out once and for all. Teddy Long looks a bit reluctant to speak, but goes on while ‘Taker and Punk look up towards him. ***

Teddy Long: Now after seeing the events of tonight’s show it is clear that the two of you have some unfinished business. CM Punk, earlier tonight I told you that you didn’t deserve a title shot against The Undertaker, however after much thought, I have decided to change my mind...

*** Massive heat while Punk smiles. ***

Teddy Long: So at Survivor Series, I am proud to announce, that it will be in the main event... The Undertaker defending his World Heavyweight Title one on one... with CM Punk! However for Survivor Series I think our main event should be somethin’ special, somthin’ that fits with the Survivor Series tradition, so that match... will be a CASKET MATCH!

*** Punk’s smile turns to a look of horror and the crowd cheers like crazy. Punk doesn’t look too happy about that and The Undertaker rolls his eyes back and some pyro hits the stage, causing Punk to jump out of the ring quickly. ‘Taker then stares out CM Punk on the outside of the ring and raises his title as Smackdown goes off air. ***

*** END OF SHOW ***

-Glad you see that you have realism in your shows with the promo highlighting Bragging Rights.

-I'm so glad that he are still letting CM Punk give his boring alcohol speeches. They are boring but they serve a purpose. Christian coming out was the right move. In my opinion, you should like split the ECW superstars to a show. I feel it'd be equal.

-Like these diaries that let John Morrison get a nice push from the crowd. I think he deserves to be the champion.

-Big fan of the heel Batista. I'm seeing a Team Batista vs Team Mysterio at Survivor Series. We'll see when the time comes huh.

-Not surprised Batista defeated R-Truth. I know Batista is way past Truth's league.

-Great match between Christian and CM Punk. I always see those two having nice matches. Well Christian at least. Anyways, glad Christian is on SmackDown

-Great thing you let Hart Dynasty win. Make them the tag champs.

-Interested to see where "James Mitchell" makes his place on SmackDown

-Not suprised that McIntyre won. Push him well.

-Hopefully, this isn't the end of Finlay. He's always been one of my favorite superstars. I'd like to see Finlay and Chris Jericho become main event stars. Thanks.
