JDawgWWE's ECW Review for Leeroy Jenkins (good nickname, Plasma)

Hey there, partner! I've been offline lately and GLAD to see your ECW show. BTW, never heard about the Santino thing, you guys have to catch me up, but anyways, that's for later, onto the review...

Opening moments & Dreamer promo: Great intro to the show, BTW, I'm gonna have to steal the "WORLD IS WATCHING" intro from ya if you don't mind. I didn't like how the Dreamer promo started with the whole WHAT'S UP bit, could've put in a little joke for him to say or something. I liked how you played up that he overcame the odds at The Bash. I'm happy to know he's ready for the challenger. I like the envelope idea (LOL) but I suggest you could have said she's starting a tourney or something like that. I like the 4 Man Match idea, and I'm ready to see who is in the tourney, other than obvious choices...Good promo, man, Tommy needed a little bit of work but it's cool so far.

Santino Video: I've always liked that segment, good choice. Could have just recapped it though rather than putting in the youtube video. Once again, never heard about the Santino switch from either of you, hmm...I can't wait until he debuts on the Purple Brand, he could be used WELL by you...

Kozlov Squash Match 1300504: The usual Kozlov squahses local kid bit...Kozlov should be used better irl and on btb's, but it's your choice, Leeroy Jenkins. And as he said, he deserves better competition. You did an OK match, Kozlov needs more time and better opportunities...

Return backstage/Smith vs. Finlay match: YES!!! The 'Woo Woo Woo Man' is in the match tonight! Hopefully he stays in the tourney. Ringside for the match. You did well with this match, my friend, there were moments (like the two commercial break bit) that didn't seem too right. Finlay gets the DQ win, DUDE! Smith shouldn't get himself DQ'ed! Get Kidd to interfere or get Natalya to distract Finlay! Or even let Finlay cheat to win! Yes, Dynasty attacks. Good thing, the match ending was about to turn me away from it, no offense. I'm happy now, continue this feud, Lee, PLEASE!

Helms/Swagger: THAT'S WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT LEE, YOU PUT THE ALL AMERICAN-AMERICAN IN THIS! Good choice! The usual Swagger, of course. HA, good trick by Christian! This is one of my favorite parts of ECW so far, and you delivered with this short but yet cool interview segment.

Burchill promo/segment: Dude, next time, please tell us we are going into a video. I was confused at first. Paul has a mystery companion I see...hmm, interesting. I don't think Katie would care (since they are siblings, LOL). Wondering if Katie hates this mysterious woman. I'm looking forward to more of this...

Santino video 2: I'm glad you're doing more hype for Santino but I don't see the point in adding youtube videos when you could recap what happens, but they are pretty cool I guess. DEBUTS NEXT WEEK! Didn't expect this, I might need to talk to you and Plasma and catch up on things. I'm anxious to see what the creative genius Leeroy Jenkins has up his sleeves for Santino...

Fatal Four Way: I knew Christian and Swagger were going to be in it no doubt, glad to see the 'Woo Woo Woo Man', didn't expect Bourne, I don't think he's ready yet. GREAT match. You gave plenty of detail at what was going on. "Ryder tackles Christian thigh"??? Umm, just say "Ryder tackles Christian to the floor". A new catch phrase, as Cole would say, "OH MY!!! Bourne wins!!!??? This seems like a good push for him, my friend, but he's not ready. BTW, I think he should have pinned Swagger or Christian, that would set him up to get a megapush for sure. And a possible feud with a top guy. Great commentary at the end by the geniuses of Matt and Josh....

Overall, my friend, it was a good show. Had some bad spots, had some real good ones. I still wanna get caught up with everything that's been happening the past few days while I was offline. **** stars. I'm ready for more from you, Leeroy, and I know you, and this whole team, will deliver.

ECW Review

Nice open to the show with the champion and I like the Night of Champions race concept. The envelope concept is also original and made things really interesting.

Great Santino clip's, should be fun to see what Santino can do in ECW and how you do with his promo's as Santino is always on with his comedy and it could be tough to come up with original content but good luck and I hope you give him a nice push. Hey if Chavo was ECW champion why can't Santino.

Kozlov squash was expected but I didn't see it ending by DQ. I would of just gave him a clean win after squashing him since it was just a jobber.

DH Smith vs Finlay was a good match but was disappointed when it ended in a DQ especially when the last match ended in the same way. I like the Kidd interference at the end and hopefully sets up a feud between Finlay and the Hart Foundation.

Swagger and Christian in the race is expected as they are the top two names on the brand. Like the psych out by Christian, that's exactly how they would of done it in the WWE.

Yes. Evan Bourne and Zack Ryder in the race now with Christian and Jack Swagger should set up some great matches over the next few weeks. All four men are great athletes and glad you didn't stick someone like Kozlov in there to stink it up.

I don't understand why Bourne wouldn't take out Christian but I guess it's a respect thing, anyway should be interesting to find out, im really hoping it comes down to these two men in a one on one but that's just my opinion. I think the right man got eliminated first and now we got Bourne vs Swagger vs Christian which should be a great match. Can't wait.

Overall a very solid show and I will definitely be reading on.

Just a few notes on ECW

Really happy to see Santino coming to ECW the two videos made it just seem like a really big real and thats great because Santino is awesome and hope he flourishs on ECW.

Hart Dyntaasy beat down of Finaly hope leads to a tag match but no idea who Finaly would chose as a partner but he needs someone to even the odds

The mystery woman and paul burchill is interesting, I can't wait to see who it is.

Then great main event, and glad to see Bourne pick up the victory because it help pushes him but I see Christian or Swagger winning next week.

Anyways good show I really enjoyed reading it.

The Showstopper 88’s ECW review for leeroy-riz

Firstly, your presentation. I can’t praise it enough. Immaculately laid out, very easy to follow, and the graphics and embedded videos take it to another level.

Opening Segment
You made this work as best you could. I kinda hope that either the title is taken off Dreamer soon, or you do something interesting/drastic with his character. I admire the guy, but despite being aggressive, I feel that he has very little personality or character on the mic, and that shouldn’t be the case with a champion. So due to that, rather than your writing, this bit failed to capture my attention much. I like the fact that you’re re-using Teddy Long’s NOC race idea though. That SHOULD be interesting.

Santino
Marking for this. He’s a bit of a laughing stock IRL and has limited in-ring skills, but if you’re a good promo writer, you could really make this work and push him without too much effort.

Kozlov
Ugh. Any ‘Kozlov Squash’ bores me (although he lost here by DQ). It’s done far too much. Being Russian, there’s potential there for his character. Shouldn’t be too difficult to play off the USSR/Cold War thing, and really make him a villain. Use that potential!

Finlay vs. DH Smith
A decent, technical match, no doubt. Not too sure about two DQ matches in a row, mind you. You said that the match was PPV length to settle the feud once and for all – well, a DQ finish certainly didn’t settle it! Not a fan of Finlay as a face, either. Liking the push of the Hart Foundation though.

Swagger/Christian segment
You characterised this really well and Christian tricking Swagger was clever writing. I’m really fond of Swagger, think he has a lot of potential, both in the ring and on the mic. For me, it should be him and Christian feuding over the title!

Burchill Segment
Dont know what to say about this – it was a bit shady! Will watch how this plays out with interest.

Main Event
Really well written. Back and forth action aplenty and definitely had the feel of a chaotic Fatal Four-Way. As has been said, I don’t have any ideas for you, but the conflicted mind of Bourne over who to eliminate.....there could be potential for something interesting there. Have a look and a think about it. Great match though, and delighted to see Bourne get a deserved push here.

Overall
Much more good than bad here, and a solid first show. You have several things that you can run with and there were some well-written segments and matches here. I’ll be reading on with interest!

7/10

Leeroy your 1st ECW wasn't too bad.

- The Dreamer promo at the begining of the show was typical of Dreamer now-a-days. Kudos for realism, but it was sort of a meh way to begin the program. The race for the championship is a great idea and lets you use and highlight the top players on your roster, I'm just not sure the opening segment was the way to introduce it the way you did. I like to start shows off with more of a bang.

- Santino is a great addition to ECW and gives it some much needed personality and humor. Is he just going to be comic relief or are you going to try to use him for more than that?

- I love making Kozlov a bad ass, but the whole DQ to a jobber idea wasn't that great of an idea. There are plenty of ways to get him over without giving him a loss. This segment essentially says wins and losses are irrelavant. Although everyone knows that pro wrestling is a staged event and not a real athletic contest, you must maintain the illusion that it is legitamate sport. That is part of the story as well....

- I really feel The Hart Foundation 2.0 could be your future. Great workers, decent gimmick, young...I would book them to the moon. Finley is in much the same boat as Dreamer. He's an older wrestler that is best used to put folks over.

- I think Swagger and Christain is a great feud. These guys are the 2 most complete workers on your roster. You don't need to put the straps on either one now, but it wouldn't be a bad idea. Great segment to build up your storyline.

- It will remain to be seen how you develope the Burchill angle. Starts off by peeking the interest, what will you do from there?

- the main event was a interesting match...Bourne making a desiscion on who he would take out is a great booking idea. Puts him over with the fans and sets up a potential storyline.

A video package recapping The Bash is shown as a production theme is heard in the background. The video has a blue tint to it as moments in the Jericho/Mysterio match is shown. It cuts to Ziggler pinning The Great Khali. The video goes to another video as it shows in slow motion as the newly formed team of Edge and Chris Jericho are surprise entrants into the Unified Tag Team Titles Match. We see a clip of Edge pinning Primo. We then see a clip of Michelle McCool holding the Women’s Championship above her head. The screen goes blank for a moment and then we see CM Punk and Jeff Hardy standing in the ring, face to face, as their match begins. We see clips throughout the match, with it showcasing both men gaining the upper hand. The video slows down as CM Punk suffers the eye injury. The background music gets louder and closer and then PUNK KICKS THE REF IN THE BACK~! We hear the bell ring as the music dies down and a picture is shown of CM Punk, with the World Championship, standing at the top of the ramp as he holds onto his injured eye. The video ends with a picture of the shocked Jeff Hardy staring up the ramp towards CM Punk.

Jim Ross: Hello everybody and welcome to Friday Night SmackDown! I’m good ol’ J.R., Jim Ross, alongside Todd Grisham! Let me tell ya, it’s gonna be one hell of a night! We are just five days outta The Bash!

“This Fire Burns” blasts through the PA system as the World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk steps out of the curtain. Punk heads down the ramp, wearing his custom t-shirt and a pair of wrestling trunks, with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. He continuously acts like his eye is hurting him.

Todd Grisham: You’re completely correct, J.R., and we’re starting the show with the World Heavyweight Champion.

He steps into the ring and receives a microphone. Punk is receiving a huge mixed reaction, with it leaning more towards boos from all of the pro-Hardy fans.

CM Punk: I’ll wait, folks … Ya’ know, I’ve had an issue all week. It’s just been bothering me since this past Sunday. I’ve just wanted to clear all the rumors and get this off my chest. People have said all week that I intentionally got myself disqualified in my match with Jeff Hardy last Sunday night at The Bash. I’m out here to tell all of you that that’s not the case. I was injured at the hands of Jeff Hardy-

The pro-Hardy fans begin to boo Punk; he stares into the crowd and waits for them to calm down.

CM Punk: … Are you finished? Now back to what I was saying … like it or not, I was injured at the hands of Jeff Hardy. Intentional or not, it still happened. And due to the injury, I was clearly and evidently unable to see what was happening. I took to my instinct and I kicked. I thought that the referee was Jeff Hardy. I made a mistake and I admit to it. And whether or not Jeff-

Punk is interrupted by the man he’s speaking about as “No More Words” booms through the speakers as Jeff Hardy steps onto the stage and the crowd goes wild for him. Hardy heads down towards the ring, with his eyes focused on CM Punk. Hardy steps into the ring and receives a microphone. He gets face to face with Punk.

Jeff Hardy: Very touching story, Punk. Ya’ see; I have it figured out. You knew I had a very good chance of beating you, so you got yourself disqualified to make sure you didn’t lose that World Heavyweight Championship. You knew what you were doing and you come out here, to MY PEOPLE, and lie to them!? No! No! I have you figured out, Punk. I know your little plan. And I don’t like it one bit. If you wanna get technical, I won the match. I deserve a rematch and I want it right here, right now!

The crowd goes wild for Hardy. Punk seems to be getting angry now.

CM Punk: I hate to say it to these people and I hate to say it to you Jeff but I cannot put my World Heavyweight Championship on the line until Night of Champions. [/b][/color]

The crowd pour their boos onto Punk. He is starting to get aggravated…

CM Punk: See! This is exactly what I’m talking about! I am tired of you people disrespecting me and booing me! I have had it! This is-

Hardy stops Punk from continuing as he gets face to face with him. Hardy says “Why?” towards Punk without the microphone.

CM Punk: Oh, you want to know why, Jeff. Alright, I’ll explain it to you and all of these people. My doctor has told me not to risk anything for the next few weeks. You see this. [Punk pulls out a small eye drop bottle] This has been prescribed to me because of what YOU did. I have to take four drops every five hours. This is medication, Jeff; it is helping my eye heal. I am not going to risk any further injuries-

The crowd boos Punk even louder now than before. Punk looks really angry now.

CM Punk: Please! If all you people can do, please show me a decency of respect! I do not like hearing you boo me just because this idiot is your hero! He shouldn’t even be a role model of the children! This man is a poor ex-

Hardy gets face to face with Punk again as they speak amongst themselves.

CM Punk: Yeah! You are a poor excuse of a human being! And now that I think about it, I think you know a lot about medication, Jeff, don’t ya’? Unlike you, this is the only thing going into my body. Unlike you, I’m not a poor drug addicted idiot. I don’t risk my life on harmful drugs, or alcohol, or cigarettes, nothing. I am straightedge, I am talented at what I do, and I am a worthy champion. And I know I deserve more respect than I’m getting from these idiots! You don’t have any talent as a wrestler; you just jump in the air and act like you know what you’re doing. Some of these people are just like you, Jeff, they risk their lives with harmful drugs as well, and they are a bunch of rejects, just like you. While a FEW others are like me, they are honest, hardworking, drug-free, talented individuals.

The crowd boos Punk to no limit; Hardy is just staring at Punk like he has no clue what’s going on. The pro-Hardy fans continue to pour boos onto Punk. Hardy takes in all of what Punk has said so far and slowly begins to speak…

Jeff Hardy: Wow, I never thought you would finish, Punk. I admit it. And I’ve always admitted it. I made very bad decisions in the past, but I’ve been clean for nearly two years. And I’m gonna stay clean. And ya’ know, unlike you, I didn’t let some big ego get to me. And I know I’m not perfect, nobody is. But you are the complete opposite. You think you are better than me and all of these people. You think you’re perfect because you are straightedge, or whatever you call it. Well Punk, you’re not. And it’ll only be a matter of time before I take that World Heavyweight Championship away from you. If these people want a ‘rightful champion’, how’s this for one?

Hardy tackles Punk to the ring mat and hits him with lefts and rights continuously. Hardy stops and taunts for the fans while Punk gets back to his feet. Hardy goes back over towards Punk and goes for a Twist of Fate but Punk sees Hardy and quickly rolls out of the ring. Punk gets to his feet and stands at the bottom of the ramp, with his eyes focused on Hardy. Right then “MacMallitant” hits and SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long steps onto the stage.

Theodore Long: … Now I don’t like it that you attacked CM Punk, Jeff, but I do have an idea. Punk, I spoke with your doctor today and he said that you could compete at any time. And Jeff, you did win the match at The Bash. So I am proud to announce the first SmackDown main event that will take place at Night of Champions! It’ll be you, CM Punk, defending the World Heavyweight Championship against that man right there, Jeff Hardy!

The crowd cheers heavily due to the announcement. Punk looks FURIOUS! Both men continue to stare down at one another, with a look of pure hatred in their eyes. Punk heads up the ramp as SmackDown goes to a commercial break.

{Commercial Break}

Replays are shown of what just transpired moments ago before SmackDown went to the commercial break. The camera pans to the arena as “Paparazzi” hits. Gail Kim and Melina step onto the stage and head down towards the ring, both women playing to the crowd.

Jim Ross: I have to say, what an exciting duo Gail Kim and Melina are every time they team together. But Melina has to be angry after Michelle McCool beat her for the Women’s Championship at The Bash this past Sunday…

Todd Grisham: I’d think so as well, J.R., Melina must be wondering what her new game plan is…

“Not Enough For Me” hits as Alicia Fox heads down towards the ring with the new Women’s Champion Michelle McCool. Melina has her eyes set on McCool and watches her intently.

Todd Grisham: Michelle McCool has recently mentored Alicia Fox, who came from the ECW brand, and I think it’s been working. McCool, the first ever Diva to hold both the Diva’s and the Women’s Championship. And I know one thing, Melina wants her Women’s Championship back.

Jim Ross: You’re completely right, Todd. Look at the tension between the two women. Melina has to have a game plan, and with a win tonight she’ll be on her way back to the Women’s Championship…

Match 1: Tag Team Match
Gail Kim and Melina vs. Alicia Fox and Michelle McCool
ENDING:
McCool connects with a quick roundhouse kick to Kim, which knocks Kim off her feet to the ring mat. McCool goes for the pin. 1 … … 2 … … NO! Kim kicked out! Melina is going crazy, wanting the hot-tag. McCool taunts Melina while Kim recovers. McCool turns around towards Kim but gets hit with a front missile dropkick but it brings both women to the floor. Kim begins to crawl towards Melina for the tag while McCool is crawling towards Fox. Both women get tagged in~! Fox runs towards Melina but gets caught with a handspring back elbow smash! Melina spots McCool getting to her feet and knocks her to the arena floor with a clothesline! Melina picks Fox up and connects with the California Dream~!! She goes for the pin. 1 … … 2 … … 3!
WINNERS: Melina and Gail Kim

“Paparazzi” blasts through the speakers as Justin Roberts announces Melina and Gail Kim as the winners. Melina gets to her feet and the referee holds her hand up in victory. Michelle McCool is shown standing in front of the announce table, staring at Melina. Melina spots McCool and has received a microphone…

Melina: Michelle … you might have been lucky at The Bash but this isn’t over. This is only one match. And I will take the Women’s Championship back from you … and you won’t be able to stop me.

Gail Kim has got back into the ring at this point and she celebrates with Melina. Michelle McCool continues to stare at Melina in disgust and then finally walks up the ramp, with her Women’s Championship in her hands.

{Commercial Break}

SmackDown returns from the commercial break as the camera pans backstage to Theodore Long’s office. He is inside the room watching the TV. Somebody walks into the room.

Theodore Long: Hasn’t anybody heard of knocking on the—Mr. McMahon! Nice to see ya, sir!

Mr. McMahon walks into the scene; he continues to stare at Long, seeming somewhat angry.

Mr. McMahon: Beat it, Long. I have to say you did an average job at The Bash, and the idea you came up with for the Unified Tag Team Titles Match was okay at best, but it wasn’t good enough. What do you have planned for tonight’s main event?

Theodore Long: Well sir, I’ve thought long and hard about it. And since SmackDown will always be the number one brand I have made an epic main event! Tonight in the main event it’ll be the Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho and Edge teaming against Jeff Hardy and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk!

Mr. McMahon: You better be glad I had a good day, Long, or you would probably be listening to my two favorite words…

Mr. McMahon walks out of the room while Theodore Long stares on. The camera pans to the arena. “Death Grip” hits as Mike Knox steps onto the WWE stage and makes his way down the ramp. Kung Fu Naki is shown as he’s already in the ring for the match.

Jim Ross: And here comes ‘The Monstrous’ Mike Knox for this match and I can tell ya, I wouldn’t wanna be in his path. This man is savage and hurts anybody that comes in his way…

Todd Grisham: I’ve seen it throughout his career, J.R., and I wouldn’t want to be in Kung Fu Naki’s shoes tonight...

Match 2: Singles Match
Mike Knox vs. Kung Fu Naki
ENDING:
Kung Fu Naki didn’t get in any offense whatsoever during the beginning as Mike Knox continues to throw Kung Fu Naki around like a rag doll. Knox hits a double-arm suplex to Kung Fu Naki. Knox picks him up one more time and finishes him off with the Spinning Reverse STO. He goes for the pin. 1 … … 2 … … 3!
WINNER: Mike Knox

“Death Grip” hits one more time as Mike Knox gets to his feet immediately and taunts. The crowd seems like they don’t even know who Knox is as he taunts. Knox gets out of the ring and grabs a steel chair and then re-enters the ring. He stares down at Kung Fu Naki and seems to be thinking. He tosses the steel chair to the ring mat and then proceeds to help Kung Fu Naki to his feet … BUT HE GRABS THE CHAIR AND HITS HIM IN THE BACK WITH IT~! Kung Fu Naki immediately falls to the floor as Knox continues his assault. Knox picks Kung Fu Naki up and connects with another Spinning Reverse STO~! Knox orders for a microphone and receives one. The crowd begins to boo as Knox just laughs.

Mike Knox: This wasn’t personal, Kung Fu Naki, it was just a good business decision. This is a message to all of the SmackDown superstars and to WWE management. I’ve been here three years … THREE YEARS … and I haven’t received any respect from NOBODY. I have dealt with this for far too long. When I first came here, I thought it would be an over the top interesting opportunity. The only thing I’ve received from everybody within this company is disrespect, lies, and mediocre matches. I’ll go more into detail for everyone. When I agreed to sign the contract with this company, the Head of Talent Relations, Johnny Ace, promised me an opportunity. He promised me a push. He gave me his word that I would be a champion. And nothing of the sort happened. I got pushed to the back of the line. The only guys you see get an opportunity around here is the drug pumped idiots and the guys who risk their lives with daredevil acts … the guys who amaze the crowd with their risk taking actions. And this is one of my first risk taking actions. I will continue to do whatever I want until the WWE management take notice and finally abide by my requests. Ladies and gentlemen … I am Dr. Mike Knox and this has been your SmackDown public announcement … thank you.

“Death Grip” hits as Knox steps out of the ring. Some members of the crowd are cheering for Knox as he slowly walks up the ramp. Knox stands at the top of the ramp, staring down towards the ring as SmackDown fades to a commercial break.

{Commercial Break}

SmackDown returns from the break at the announce table with Jim Ross and Todd Grisham.

Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Friday Night SmackDown, we thank you all for staying with us. As we just saw moments ago Mike-excuse me, ‘Dr.’ Mike Knox, as he says, assaulted Kung Fu Naki with a steel chair after their matchup and then he declared a statement to the upper powers within the WWE. I’ve never seen anything like it in my twenty some odd years in this business…

Todd Grisham: It’s strange, J.R., Knox has declared his statement and boy, what a shocker it was! I’m ready to see what happens next…

We end our segment with the announcers as the camera cuts backstage. Cryme Tyme jumps into the scene and it’s time for a TV edition of Word Up!

JTG: Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, yo, YO!!! What’s really hood!? I’m ya’ boy, J … T … G, yeah! And this is Word … Up!

Shad: That’s right, J., Now boys and girls, this week on Word Up we’re discussing the-

Before Shad can continue speaking Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas come into the scene. Cryme Tyme stares at Benjamin. Benjamin has a look of disgust on his face.

Shelton Benjamin: What on earth are you two idiots doing!? A dumb Word Up episode!? This is why people stereotype a black man as a ghetto gangbanger! You two are bad influences on children! Charlie and I, however, we are pure athletes and we are the true heroes. We are The World’s Greatest Tag Team. And tonight, JTG, I’m gonna beat you, 1…2…3.

JTG has a serious look on his face now and gets face to face with Benjamin. This ends though as JTG steps back and starts laughing.

JTG: HA! You hear him, Shad!? Ya’ know Benjamin; I don’t think you can back dat’ up. But we’ll see tonight! And next week, my boy Shad is gonna destroy your Brokeback Mountain boyfriend Charlie Haas! One more thing…

Cryme Tyme stares at The World’s Greatest Tag Team when BIG DICK JOHNSON RUNS INTO THE SCENE AND DANCES AROUND BENJAMIN AND HAAS~! Cryme Tyme clotheslines Big Dick Johnson and then steals Benjamin’s wallet. Cryme Tyme runs away as Benjamin notices what just happened. Benjamin is FUMING and starts throwing a fit.

Cameras pan to the arena as “Bringin’ Da Hood T U” hits in the speakers. Cryme Tyme and JTG step onto the stage and walk down the ramp, with Shad throwing Benjamin’s money into the crowd.

Jim Ross: Here comes Cryme Tyme! JTG is set to take on Shelton Benjamin and I have to wonder what’ll happen in this match after what we just saw backstage!

Todd Grisham: Benjamin is furious! I wouldn’t wanna be near him right now! But I do want a piece of that money Cryme Tyme is throwing to the crowd!

“Ain’t No Stoppin’ Me (Remix)” blasts through the PA system as Shelton Benjamin, accompanied by tag team partner Charlie Haas, steps through the curtain onto the stage. Benjamin, with an extremely stern look on his face, slowly walks down the ramp. The camera spots JTG in the ring smiling.

Jim Ross: Here comes ‘The Gold Standard’. Look at the intensity and anger in his eyes. He is ready for a fight.

Todd Grisham: I’d hate to be in his way right now, I know he wants to get his hands on JTG. And I think Cryme Tyme’s actions have set him off.

Match 3: Singles Match
JTG (w/ Shad) vs. ‘The Gold Standard’ Shelton Benjamin (w/ Charlie Haas)
ENDING:
Benjamin is in control as he connects with a powerful superplex. He goes for the pin. 1 … 2 … KICKOUT! Benjamin seems frustrated as he gets to his feet and screams at the referee. He begins to stomp on JTG repeatedly. Benjamin lifts JTG up and connects with a cobra clutch backbreaker. He begins to go for a pin attempt but JTG tricks Benjamin into a roll up! 1 … 2 … KICKOUT BY BENJAMIN! The fans start cheering for JTG as he gets to his feet. He taunts for the crowd while the stunned Benjamin comes back to his senses. Benjamin gets to his feet quickly and measures JTG when HE CONNECTS WITH A NASTY CLOTHESLINE~! He goes for the pin but JTG kicks out. Benjamin seems even angrier now as he gets out of the ring and grabs a steel chair! He makes his way back into the ring and the referee tries to grab the chair from him. Shad slides a pair of brass knuckles to JTG under the bottom rope while the referee is taking the steel chair from Benjamin. The referee gets the chair out of Benjamin’s hold. While the referee is putting the chair outside of the ring Benjamin turns his attention back to JTG but HE GETS HIT IN THE SKULL BY THE BRASS KNUCKLES~! Benjamin drops to the ring mat as JTG goes for the pin! The referee notices this and starts the count! 1 … … 2 … … 3!
WINNER: JTG

“Bringin’ Da Hood T U” hits as Shad gets in the ring and celebrates with JTG. Charlie Haas slides into the ring and checks on his tag team partner. Haas doesn’t realize Cryme Tyme is standing behind him. Haas finally sees Cryme Tyme. Cryme Tyme hits the G9 to Haas! Cryme Tyme exit the ring and celebrate on the ramp while The World’s Greatest Tag Team recovers inside of the ring.

{Commercial Break}

“I Am Perfection” hits as Dolph Ziggler steps onto the stage and makes his way down towards the ring.

Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Friday Night SmackDown! Here comes the young, cocky, and brash Dolph Ziggler! And let me tell ya’, this kid may well be the future of this company!

Todd Grisham: I agree, J.R., this kid has the look and he’s definitely got the skills to be the future of this company. I’d bet ya’ that he’ll be a World Champion by 2011.

“Booyaka 619” hits as the Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio steps through the curtain. The crowd goes wild as Mysterio heads down the ramp.

Jim Ross: Here comes the Intercontinental Champ, Rey Mysterio! What an exciting highflying veteran this man is! And he’s facing against the brash Dolph Ziggler just five days after defeating Chris Jericho to retain the Intercontinental Championship!

Todd Grisham: That’s right, J.R., but remember that Ziggler may win. And if that young man gains a win over Mysterio then that may well lead to Ziggler becoming a future Intercontinental Champion!

Match 4: Singles Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Rey Mysterio
ENDING:
Ziggler locks Rey into a Crossface and applies extreme pressure. Rey screams out in pain while he tries to reach for the ring rope. He grabs hold of the rope but Ziggler doesn’t let go of the hold. The referee starts the five count, 1-2-3-4. Ziggler lets go just in time. Ziggler taunts as the crowd continue to boo him. Rey gets to his feet while Ziggler has his back turned, Rey dropkicks Ziggler into the middle rope. Rey sees the opportunity and goes for the 619! Ziggler moves out of the ropes, Rey spins back into the ring! Ziggler runs towards Rey, Rey ducks and Ziggler is sent over the top rope to the outside of the ring. Rey connects with an OVER THE TOP ROPE SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT~! The crowd cheers even louder in amazement. The ref starts the ten count, 1-2-3-4-5-6…Rey is starting to move…7-8…Rey gets in the ring then quickly rolls back out, thus restarting the ten count. Rey lifts Ziggler to his feet but Ziggler connects with a devastating DDT. The referee is at the count of 5 and Ziggler enters the ring. 6-7-8-9…REY ROLLS IN THE RING JUST IN TIME! Ziggler looks angry and he starts yelling at the referee. Ziggler goes for a pin attempt. 1 … … 2 … … NOT JUST YET! Ziggler picks Rey up and goes for the Jumping Russian Legsweep but Rey reverses and throws Ziggler into the middle rope once again. Rey goes for the 619 and HE DOES CONNECT! Ziggler is knocked out in the middle of the ring. Rey climbs to the top turnbuckle and connects with the FROG SPLASH~! 1 … … 2 … … 3!
WINNER: Rey Mysterio

Rey recovers from the brutal match as the ring announcer declares him the winner. Rey finally gets to his feet as the referee holds his hand up in victory but CHRIS JERICHO RUNS INTO THE RING AND ATTACKS REY! Jericho stomps on Rey repeatedly! The referee is trying to maintain order but EDGE RUNS IN THE RING AS WELL AND SPEARS THE REF! Jericho hits a Code Breaker to Rey! Rey rolls out of the ring while Jericho and Edge are receiving microphones. The crowd is booing Edge and Jericho like crazy. Jericho begins to speak…

Chris Jericho: All of you hypocritical sycophants can stop your booing and listen to me. Rey Mysterio deserved what he just received and there’s no point for you hypocrites to be offended by it. Although I am now one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions I still have a rematch clause to regain my Intercontinental Championship. And this was just a message to ‘the champion’, I’m an individual that let’s my opponents know beforehand that I mean business. And that leaching scum Rey Mysterio better be prepared because I’ll take back MY championship whenever I want. Tonight, however, I won’t deal with Mysterio. Tonight … Edge and I will decimate Jeff Hardy and CM Punk and come out victorious.

Edge: That’s right, Chris. All of you people have the upmost honor to see us! We are and always will be the biggest names in the WWE! We are better than each and every person in this dump. Quite frankly, I have no clue why we have to compete in a place like this. We are at the top of the game. We are Team Ego, we’re better than Jeff Hardy, we’re better than CM Punk, and we’re definitely better than all of you…

“Break Down The Walls” starts up while Edge and Jericho begin taunting. We head to a commercial break.

{Commercial Break}

Jericho’s music is still playing as SmackDown returns from the commercial break. “This Fire Burns” blasts through the speakers as the World Heavyweight Champion steps onto the stage and heads down the ramp. Punk stands at the bottom of the ramp as his music dies down. “No More Words” hits the PA system as none other than Jeff Hardy steps through the curtain and makes his entrance down to the ring. The crowd goes wild for Hardy. The camera spots Punk, who looks aggravated to say the least. Hardy and Punk stare at one another for a moment and then they enter the ring. The match starts…

Match 5: Tag Team Match
Team Ego (Edge and Chris Jericho) vs. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy
ENDING:
Edge has a sleeper hold locked onto Punk but Punk breaks free. Punk connects with a step-up enzuigiri to Edge. Hardy and Jericho are both waiting for the hot-tag while Punk and Edge recover on the mat. Edge starts to crawl towards Jericho but Punk stops him by pulling him back in the center of the ring. Punk gets to his feet and throws Edge over to a ring corner. Punk connects with a sick running high knee then connects with a running bulldog. Both men are down now. Punk and Edge both get to their feet and they start trading blows. Edge connects with a big boot. Edge stomps down on Punk then drags Punk over towards his corner. Edge tags in Jericho. Jericho goes for a Lionsault but Punk moves out of the way just in time as Jericho falls to nothing but the ring mat! Punk crawls over towards Jericho and goes for a weak pinfall. 1 … … 2 … … KICKOUT! Both men are still on the mat recovering. Punk crawls over to Hardy and Hardy gets the tag! Hardy jumps in the ring as Edge is getting to his feet. Jeff clotheslines Edge and tries to dropkick Jericho but Jericho ducks! Jericho gets in the ring and attacks Hardy. Edge gets to his feet and knocks the referee out. Edge and Jericho are blatantly assaulting Hardy. Punk jumps into the ring and knocks Edge to the ring mat. He turns around towards Jericho and Jericho goes for a Codebreaker but he slips and falls to the ring mat! Punk grabs hold of his eye and stumbles around the ring. A replay is shown and it shows that Jericho’s knee came in contact with Punk’s injured eye. Hardy is back to his feet and he connects with a plancha to Edge. Jericho is back to his feet but he goes back down as Jeff hits a Twist of Fate~! Jeff drags Edge towards a ring corner and then jumps onto the turnbuckle. He prepares for the Swanton Bomb but he spots Punk, who is turned the opposite direction still stumbling around. He jumps off the top turnbuckle and walks over to Punk. He touches Punk’s shoulder but Punk turns around quickly, picks Jeff up, and CONNECTS WITH THE GTS~! Punk, still holding onto his eye, falls to the ring mat. Edge comes back to his senses and spots Jeff, lying in the center of the ring knocked out. Edge crawls over towards Hardy, gets the referee back into the match, and goes for the pin. 1 … … 2 … … 3!
WINNERS: Team Ego (Edge and Chris Jericho)

“Metalingus” blasts through the speakers as Justin Roberts announces Team Ego as the victors. Edge grabs hold of the rope and pulls himself to his feet and then helps Jericho up. Edge and Jericho exit the ring and celebrate on the ramp. The camera spots Jeff as he’s coming back to his senses. Jeff leans up and looks over at CM Punk, who is still out of it. Edge and Jericho taunt as SmackDown fades away.

Default Re: The Phenomenon Strikes: A WWE BTB

A TPS Review!!!

I saw Smackdown went up, and I JIZZED…IN…MY PANTS (the pop culture king strikes again).

Segment 1: Punk Ass Champ First off, I enjoyed the Bash recap video. Well done. Now onto the meat and potatoes. Punk comes out and tries to explain his actions to a crowd who is not hearing it. You can tell he’s aggravated, much like he’s always been with this Jeff situation, but he keeps his cool for the most part. Jeff comes down and spews some Jeff Hardy garbage, not making much sense. I never understood why Jeff was cheered and Punk jeered in their real life feud. It kinda pissed me off, and it makes us as wrestling fans just plain look bad. Anyhow, this is much like what we’ve seen in real life, but with a slightly different edge. I liked how Punk seemed to let himself slip a little after all the aggravation he’s been through. Good way to start your FIRST Smackdown. ****/*****

Segment 2: Diva’s Gone Wild What the hell is the California Dream? I can never keep up with Melina’s finishers. She has a new one every time I watch her. This diva action was bare bones, and basically just sets up Melina’s desire for a rematch. **

Segment 3: A Long Painful Conversation I see you’re continuing the McMahon/Long storyline. I’m really interested to see how you make it interesting, as the real life storyline is average at best. I do like the main event though. **

Segment 4: Dr. Knox’s Orders I really liked the promo Knox cut. Some may say it’s breaking kayfabe too much (an argument which could have validity), but I like the idea of a wrestling version of Deadpool. The promo may have revealed too much, but the fact that “Dr. Knox” is able to have CONSIDERABLE mike time (pun intended…mike…mic…cause Mike is his name…DO YOU GET IT???) and an original gimmick (and corny…but AWESOME catchphrase) is noteworthy. ****

Segment 5: Number One In The Hood, G I enjoyed this feigned Word Up into a racial conversation…until Big Dick Johnson entered!!! Ugh! I threw up…in my mouth…a little bit. The rest of the backstage segment was great (BDJ was G-A-Y). Especially the wallet lifting. Which led to JTG tossing Benjamin’s money. The ensuing match was basic stuff, with CT picking up the win via JTG. OMG, LMFAO @ JTG via CT w/ WTFGHIWQTDUSRWAASDU ***

Segment 6: Ziggy Rey’s Dust What’s the reference in the title, bitches??? Anyway, good contest with some nice spots here. The beat down that followed was well done, and the mic time was OK. Should’ve been better with these two TITANS of mic work here. The Jericho stuff was good…but the Edge stuff seemed really campy and generic. Not indicative of the Rated R Superstar. I also wished they would’ve addressed the fact that they dislike each other but are working together nonetheless. I like the nickname though…Team Ego. ***

Segment 7: An Eye For An Eye The main event was well orchestrated. I liked the ending with the eye storyline finding a way to continue. Team Ego gets the win. ***

Overall Good first show. I feel like it should have been a tad longer. Maybe an added backstage segment or something would have filled it out. The promos are what shined here. The Knox promo interesting. The Jericho promo well executed. The beginning with Punk/Jeff…best part of the show. ***

Leeroy’s feedback for Smackdown!

Side Note: I will tell you what I told Plasma…once I read a piece of something you wrote, I comment on it…meaning I don’t know what happened on the rest of the show. So I may say something, without knowing what happens next. Also, this is something that is very important you understand for NOW and for the rest of my reviews…I try to find only CRITICISM to say because that way you learn. Of course I give good stuff in return if it deserves, but mostly I find criticism…unless there isn’t any to say. Just because I say criticism doesn’t mean I didn’t like it…you’ll see by my overall how I truly felt.

Opening: Thank you thank you thank you for not taking my entrance like we spoke about. Yours was original and I like it. I actually asked KingCrash for a GIF but it was never fulfilled :-( haha, but anyways…I liked it…very original! I wish you tons of luck on SD! Hopefully you can step up like plasma and myself have (kidding) but at the end of this feedback I’ll definitely let you know if you’ve stepped up or not!

Jeff/Punk: Punk coming out was good. I’ll say this…there was grammatical errors. Nothing major, just a couple of question marks that should’ve been there but weren’t. It’s not such a big deal, but that’s why there is always room for improvement. I thought that your effort was definitely seen here, but this segment didn’t make much sense to me. This is obviously your decision, but you did what took WWE a few months to do…you turned Punk heel in this one segments. You have to tell me if that was your intention, because if it wasn’t then why did Punk call these fans “idiots?” You called some of these people idiots, which is completely heel-like. I hope you are not building the heel stages for Punk because after the segment I just read, Punk is pretty much a heel. Here’s another thing that didn’t make sense…why would Hardy just attack Punk? Punk, apparently, legitly hurt his eye which makes him take “drops” and I get how Punk said that this medication was the only thing going into his body unlike Jeff’s body, which probably gets a lot more things put into…but why should Jeff get offended? He said he admitted it, so why get offended at something he did? Just doesn’t make sense…Punk didn’t attack Jeff…Punk didn’t cost Hardy a match…Jeff is a face…T-Long is a face…it would be common sense that Jeff would get another match, so why would Jeff just attack Punk for no reason. If I was the GM and I saw one of my top good guys attack my world champion for no reason, I wouldn’t give him a straight up title match. My advice to you is you need to picture this in your head. Do you really see Jeff Hardy attacking Punk in the middle of a segment, especially when Punk didn’t do anything to instigate Jeff? Just think it out, man. It’s only a segment that got its points made: schedule a match between the two men for NOC and address the controversy at The Bash! Work on getting these guys in character but doing some character development, and the reader should be seeing tons more chemistry between the characters.

Women’s Tag Match: I won’t lie to you, I completely didn’t know that McCool beat Melina for the title at the Bash, so thank you for reminding me with JR and Todd telling me. You write the two guys so well, it’s a very good habit to have when writing your shows. I skimmed your match, way to short. I think maybe if you had 2 paragraphs (each one being the size of your one paragraph) would have been perfect. You don’t want to rush your matches, even if some people don’t read it. You don’t want to give the reader’s the attitude that you don’t care so much about the matches, because you should. You’re writing the ending’s of the match…so even so it should be longer. You have an excuse cause you’re writing just the ending…so it should be a bit longer. It’s not about the quantity really, it’s all about the effort. You should put effort into your matches, to show the people that you take much pride in your work. Oh and I totally thought that Melina should’ve pinned McCool in this match. That pin fall victory plus her rematch clause is a sure indication that she should get a rematch at NOC!

Long/McMahon: I’m sorry man, but this was all over the place. Vince comes in saying “Beat it” and then asks whats the plan for tonight? You do know what beat it means right? It means get lost, or get out of my face…and this was way too quick of a segment. This was just quick and forced, but I think I know where you’re going with this…try to get into character man, because without that, it doesn’t capture the reader’s interest.

Knox: Totally feel you’re doing the RIGHT THING here! Giving Knox a push is both refreshing and new. I’m not the kind of guy who will see a booker pushing a guy who has never been pushed on TV and say “WTF?!” I’m the kind of guy who praises that person to come up with a good storyline for him, and give him a decent push with a decent storyline. I’m not liking how you just wrote the match like that. You could’ve written the match in full, since it’s a jobber match…and it would have shown the reader a much more aggressive side of Knox. This Dr. Knox thing could pull off. Hopefully you have big plans for this guy, as this will be on the things I’ll look forward to every time I read your show. Give him a good storyline man, do it!

WGTT/CRYME TYME: Good to see WGTT back together, that’s pretty random as I don’t think they were teaming together at that point…but it’s all good. Having a random promo with them right before their match was a little unnecessary, but I guess it fits considering the gimmick that Cryme Tyme does. Having Cryme Tyme throw away Benjamin’s money to the crowd got me to laugh a little, that was pretty funny. I expected Benjamin to go over, but nonetheless hopefully you have some sort of storyline for these two teams. It’s even a bigger “huh” moment when Cryme Tyme attacks Charlie Haas after the match, did you get confused and think that Cryme Tyme was the heel tag team and WGTT was the good team? This sort of thing would happen, with one tag team attacking the other, but the good guys are the one getting attacked, not the way you put it. But, hopefully this leads to something…

Rey/Dolph: You basically put a match on this show, that could be a great feud in the making, obviously it happened in real life, but like still…and damn that Rey beat Dolph, this means that Dolph is no where near the contendership for the IC Title. Then Team Ego attacks Rey…hmm…pretty random…I mean yea Jericho just lost to him at The Bash but since they are Tag Champs, they pretty much shouldn’t be thinking of Rey. Let’s see what Jericho has to say!

Team Ego: Alright, now I know you didn’t make this name up, since all the wrestling websites chose this name for them, but let me ask you something…why would they call themselves Team Ego? Team Ego is an insult because it’s like they are egotistical…why would someone call himself that? You should’ve chosen a more original name for them, anything besides for that name. Team Ego is a name that JR or Todd Grisham would call them, not have Edge or Y2J call themselves that. Secondly, I see you’re repeating the same exact thing for every part of your show…you’re having the superstars speak right before a match, or after a match. It happened with Cryme Tyme/WGTT…Knox…“Team Ego”…Melina…pretty much everyone so far. You wouldn’t find that on Smackdown or anywhere else. People told me that I had two DQ’s in a row, yea that was my mistake, but I didn’t like how you had everyone say something before and after a match. I didn’t like the segment that Edge and Jericho just did, I didn’t like it one bit. You tried too hard with Jericho, and not enough with Edge. Just my opinion.

Main Event: Genius idea, but I think it happened already in real life, during their feud…I could be wrong, but I’m not sure. Not to get technical, but how could it be possible that something like that could happen when Punk is taking medication for that? Just my question, I guess.

Overall: I gave you tons of criticism that I hope you’ll work on…the show was just good, but I definitely know you’ll get better. Believe me, first shows are the hardest, you’ll get used to this and once all your storylines and ideas have taken off, you’ll become a natural…I’m saying it now…September 22, 2009…JD-DAWG will become a natural! Just keep working hard man! As to if you stepped up like me and plasma did…you did because you got better since ECW…but you have a shit load more to go in order to become great…just keep working hard. Work on your matches, your in-character development promos and segments…and let me tell you something…the first step on becoming a natural booker and writer is to learn to accept and try to work on the criticism you receive which means don’t get offended by my criticism…I don’t leave feedback with just good things to say, I have to find at least one bad thing so that person can get better. Some people like it and some people don’t…that’s up to them but this is what I do! Get better man, anyways…I know you will!!

Default Re: The Phenomenon Strikes: A WWE BTB

Before we get to the preview, I'd like to say a few things. Wolf said something in the BTB discussion that sparked a couple of responses, and more over, a sentinment in myself. When I joined these boards it was to have FUN. I enjoy BTB, but it seems like more often than not, it is full of constant bickering, postering, and the formation of a virtual class system. This is all for fun guys. We aren't publishing our shows, broadcasting on tv, or appealing to a mass audience. We are a small number of people who have found a common interest in something that many others don't care anything about. We then are we going to break each other down??? We need to put away the hidden alliances and anger and return to what this is all about. Think about why you started doing BTB. Was it really to bicker with people who you have and never will interact with on a face to face basis? Probably not. Can't we all just get along?

RAW Preview for July 6th, 2009
RAW Gets “Coached”

This Monday night…the Coach is in charge! After Mr. McMahon’s blockbuster announcement last week, that he’d be auditioning prospective GMs, Jonathan Coachman gets his shot this Monday on RAW. What will Coach bring to RAW? What will his presence mean for the superstars of Monday nights? And how will he wow Mr. McMahon in his bid to become GM?

One superstar who should care about Coach’s appearance is the WWE Champion, Randy Orton. The Viper outsmarted his long time rival, Triple H, last week when The Game accepted Orton’s challenge to compete in a gauntlet match. Triple H was trying to earn another shot at the Champ…before he ran into a brick wall known as the Big Show. Coachman has promised to make an impact on this main event scene when he shows up in Atlanta. What will that mean for this growing feud?

Last week, John Cena was lured into a trap by The Miz, which resulted in a three on one beat down by Miz, Jamie Noble, and The Brian Kendrick. This week The Miz has requested airtime to explain his actions. Along with Miz’s two new allies, Diva’s Champion Maryse will also be accompanying the trio on RAW. How will this group explain themselves, and what is Maryse’s involvement?

Also, after the battle of the words between MVP and Chavo Guerrero last week, they will settle their differences in the ring this week, one on one.

All this and more, on the night that Coach wows the world!

RAW will be posted this Sunday, the 27th. And keep the reviews coming for JD's Smackdown. I really feel like he's the best new booker on the site. No lie.
