I will be posting 3 times a week. Raw one day, ECW & WWE Superstars another day, and Smackdown another day. And obviously I will have PPV's whenever.
I'm going to be starting off with the Raw after SummerSlam which I will most likely be posting later today or tomorrow. Criticism about structure or anything that isn’t good is appreciated and of course I love reviews of the shows.
SummerSlam results are not important to my storyline so don't ask what they were (the champions are the same so it doesn't matter). To start things off here is a preview:
At SummerSlam it was said that there will be an announcement on Raw. This messgae will be revealed by Raw General Manager Vickie Guerrero. All we know is that it pertains to all of the brands and has to do with Unforgiven. Tune into Raw to find out what the WWE Board Of Directors has announced that will effect all of the WWE.
Check out my Be The Booker AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future
Raw Opening Video is shown
Pyro goes off as the crowd goes wild
Cole: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the aftermath of SummerSlam here on Monday Night Raw. I’m Michael Cole along side Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler and King I can’t wait to see what goes down tonight. King: I can’t wait either Michael. Tonight there will be a big announcement that doesn’t just involve Raw but the entire WWE. I wonder what it is. I can’t wait!
Randy Orton’s music hits
Legacy comes out as the crowd boos them
Lillian: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the ring Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and the WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Cole: And here comes the current WWE Champion Randy Orton and the rest of Legacy down to the ring to kick off Raw. King: Well Orton looks to be in a good mood after retaining is title last night. But then again you can never tell what emotions Orton has accept for rage.
Orton: Last night at SummerSlam I did exactly what I said I would do. I walked in WWE Champion, and I left still WWE Champion. And all of you people doubted me. When will it click in your little heads that I am the absolute best there is in the WWE today and that no one can beat me. I have taken out the entire McMahon family this year and I have formulated the greatest group of superstars to every grace the WWE in Legacy. Ted & Cody will follow in my footsteps, surpassing their fathers and becoming the face of the WWE in the future. But as for right now, there is on one and nothing that can stop us from taking over the WWE.
Vickie Guerrero comes out to massive boos
Vickie: Excuse me! Randy, I would just like to congratulate you on your win last night. I am so proud to have you as WWE Champion here on Raw. Orton: Thank you Vickie. At least someone gets it and understands just how great I am. Vickie: But that’s not all I came out here to say. On wwe.com it was said that there would be a big announcement tonight that affected not only Raw but every WWE brand. I have been sent out here by the Board of Directors to make that announcement. In three weeks at Unforgiven, all three brands will have a Scramble Match for their respective brand’s world title. So what that means for Raw is that there will be four competitors going for your WWE title Randy. And qualifying matches for the four spots will begin tonight.
Orton stands there pissed off with Rhodes & DiBiase trying to calm him down
King: Orton doesn't look too happy about this announcement. Cole: No he doesn't King. Well whether he likes it or not, tonight we will see a few qualifying matches for the WWE Championship Scramble Match. Who will join Randy Orton at Unforgiven? We'll find out later tonight.
Backstage a reporter is with Batista
Reporter: Ladies and gentlemen, the Animal Batista. Now Batista, we all just heard the news, at Unforgiven it’s going to be a Scramble Match for the WWE Championship. What is your take on this? Batista: Well I’ve won a Scramble match before, but I can assure you that it doesn’t matter what type of match it is, I will do everything in my power to become champion once again. Reporter: Tonight you will be involved in one of the four qualifying matches. Batista: Yes I will, and it doesn’t matter who it is, I know that I will qualify and go on to Unforgiven.
Matt Hardy then comes in
Matt: Oh is that so Batista? Well good luck tonight because you’ll need it. Now why don’t you sit back and watch a real wrestler qualify for the Scramble Match. And if you happen to get luck enough to qualify for the scramble match, then you better watch out for the Black Cloud hanging over your head and taking the WWE Championship.
Matt walks off as Batista stares him down angry
Cole: Up next, it'll be Matt Hardy verses John Cena in our first of four qualifying matches. Stay tuned to Raw to find out who will qualify.
Matt Hardy’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 236 pounds, Matt Hardy.
Cole: Well King, Matt Hardy seems very confident about qualifying here tonight for the scramble match at Unforgiven. King: Yes he does, and he not only inturupted Batista’s interview but he said that if he was lucky enough to qualify for the championship match, that the “Black Cloud” would cost him the title. Batista didn’t seem to take to kind to those words by Hardy. Cole: Matt has referred to himself as the “Black Cloud” before and has a whole new attitude to go with it as we have been seeing since the Royal Rumble earlier this year. And even though I don’t agree with Hardy’s actions, he has been on a roll lately and this could be his biggest chane yet.
John Cena’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: And his opponent, from West Newbury, Massachusetts, weighting in at 240 pounds, John Cena.
King: Here comes John Cena! Matt Hardy’s got his hands full now. Cole: If Matt Hardy could pick up this win, it could propel him forward to the championship match with a lot of momentum. King: Well Matt still looks confident in the ring, let’s see what happens here. One of these two men will move onto Unforgiven in the Scramble Match.
Qualifying Match for WWE Championship Scramble Match
John Cena vs. Matt Hardy
-A back and forth match by these two with Matt Hardy acting kind of cocky and showing an attitude the whole time. Towards the end, John Cena does his usual routine of shoulder blocks, to the spin-out powerbomb, to the 5-knuckle shuffle. Cena signals for the Attitude Adjustment and lifts Matt on his shoulders. Matt elbows Cena in the head repeatedly and drops down in front of him. Matt goes for the Twist of Fate but Cena reverses by pushing Matt Hardy off with force. Matt goes off the ropes for a clothesline but Cena ducks it. Matt then goes for a quick roll-up holding the ropes but the referee seeing Matt cheating. Matt argues with the referee and then turns around right into the Attitude Adjustment. Cena goes for the pin 1…2…3. Winner: John Cena
Lillian: Here is your winner, John Cena
Cole: So John Cena is the first man to qualify for the WWE Championship scramble match at Unforgiven. King: Yeah but Matt Hardy doesn’t look too pleased with what just happened. Cole: It’s his own fault for arguing with the referee, but it looks like Matt Hardy couldn’t back up what he said to Batista before. Anyway, there are three more spots to fill in the scramble match and there will be more qualifying matches here tonight. Stay tuned to Raw to find out who else will qualify for the Scramble Match.
Backstage in Vickie Guerrero’s office, Vickie and Chavo are talking when Randy Orton comes in
Orton: What the hell Vickie? Vickie: Can I help you Orton? Orton: Can I help you? Are you kidding me? Vickie, how can you put me in a Scramble Match at Unforgiven with my title on the line? That’s unfair, I don’t even have to be pinned to lose the title. Vickie: Orton it’s not my decision, I was told by the WWE Board of Directors that the every world title would be on the line in a Scramble match. Orton: Well you need to do something about this. Vickie: There is nothing I can do. Orton: You’re just gonna give up like that? Maybe I should take matters into my own hands and just punt every single competitor that’ll be in the Scramble match. I’ll do it if I have to. What kind of general manager are you putting your…. Chavo: How dare you speak to my aunt and your general manager that way. Why don’t you show some respect to her. Vickie: Chavo, calm down. Randy I see your point and while I can’t change the match, I can help you out. Tonight you will have a match and if you win then you will enter the Scarmble Match at number 5. How about that? Orton: I guess that’s the best I can ask for right now. But earn it? I’m the WWE Champion, I should automatically be number 5. Chavo: Aunt Vickie, let me take on Orton in that match tonight. Vickie: You sure Chavo? Chavo: Yeah, I want to teach him that you need to respect the Guerrero family. Vickie: Ok so tonight it will be Randy Orton verses Chavo Guerrero, and if you win Randy then you are the number 5 entry in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Orton: I look forward to making an example out of you.
Mickie James music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: The following diva tag match is scheduled for one fall. Making their way to ring, Mickie James and Kelly Kelly.
Cole: Welcome back to Raw and here we go King, some diva tag action. King: Boy do I love diva action. Just look at Mickie and Kelly. Cole: I’m sure either one of these diva’s would love a shot at the Diva’s Championship.
Maryse’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: And their opponents, Jillian Hall and the Diva’s Champion Maryse.
Cole: Here’s the Diva’s Champion Maryse. She has done quite some job in keeping that title with her. King: That title looks great with her. She’s one of my favorite things about Canada.
Maryse & Jillian vs. Kelly Kelly & Mickie James
-Solid divas match with each diva getting in there and showing their skills. At the end, Kelly Kelly knocks Jillian, who was the illegal person, out of the ring with a dropkick. Maryse then comes from behind but Kelly elbows Maryse. Kelly goes for a kick but Maryse catches her foot and pushes her off and against the ropes by her corner. Mickie makes the blind tag when Kelly goes off the ropes, which Maryse isn’t aware of. Maryse catches Kelly coming off the ropes and does the French Kiss. Maryse tries to pin Kelly but the referee tries to explain that Mickie is the legal person in the match. Maryse yells at the referee and tells him to shut up. Maryse turns around to Mickie kicking her in the mid-section and then performing the Mickie-DT. Mickie goes for the cover, 1…2…3, Mickie gets the win for her team. Winners: Mickie James & Kelly Kelly
Lillian: Here are your winners Kelly Kelly and Mickie James.
As Mickie walks up the ramp, Maryse looks at her holding her head, all pissed off.
Cole: What a win for Mickie James, she just pinned the Diva’s Champion in a tag team match. King: Yeah but look at Maryse. She looks like she wants to tear Mickie apart and who can blame her. She had no idea Mickie tagged into the match. Cole: Mickie got that blind tag and took advantage. It’s not her fault Maryse didn’t see the tag. King: I have a feeling this isn’t the last time we will see these two face off. Cole: Still to come tonight are two more Qualifying Matches for the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Who wil qualify? Stay tuned to Raw here on the USA Network.
Backstage, Legacy is in the locker room together
Orton: Ted, Cody, this is big right now. You two are going out to compete in a qualifying battle royal for the scramble match for my title. It’s bad enough that I’m forced to be in this unfair match, but let’s at least make things better for me, better for Legacy to reign supreme. If one of you is in the match, then I have a better chance at walking out of Unforgiven WWE Champion. So I need you two to focus tonight because this is really important. Rhodes: Don’t worry Randy. Ted and I, we’ve got this. We have a game plan. We just eliminate everyone else and when it comes down to the two of us, it doesn’t matter who wins at the point, but at least a Legacy member is in the match. DiBiase: Yeah Randy, this should be no problem. One of us will win and then we go on to Unforgiven to insure that you get that final fall in the Scramble Match so that you walk out still champion. Orton: Good, good. I’m counting on you two. Now go out there and win. And then I’ll beat the hell out of Chavo Guerrero later to earn the number 5 spot in the scramble match making my winning odds that much better. Show me why Legacy is the greatest faction of all time. Rhodes: We won’t let you down.
Cole: Some motivation from Orton to Priceless. When we come back, we will see the Over The Top Rope Battle Royal Qualifying Match. Don't go anywhere.
Lillian: The following contest is an over the top rope battle royal for a spot in the WWE Championship scramble match at Unforgiven. Superstars are eliminated when they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last person in the ring wins the match.
The Brian Kendrick’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: Making his way to the ring, from Venice, California, weighing in at 184 pounds, The Brian Kendrick.
Cole: Here comes the very cocky and eccentric Brian Kendrick. King: Um Michael, it’s “The” Brian Kendrick. Cole: Right, well Kendrick is no stranger to the Scramble match. Last year he was the longest reigning Scramble Champion and would love to have his chance in that match again.
Kofi Kingston’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: Making his way to the ring, from Jamaica, weighing in at 218 pounds, Kofi Kingston.
Cole: Here comes the always smiling Jamaican superstar Kofi Kingston. King: Come on Cole say it. Boom! Boom! Boom! Cole: Haha, the fans love the ever exciting Kofi. Could tonight be the first step for him to becoming a world champion?
The Miz’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: Making his way to the ring, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 231 pounds, The Miz.
King: The arrogant Miz. This guy is so full of himself. Cole: Yes he is King but you can’t deny how successful The Miz has been in the past year. King: Former WWE & World Tag Team Champion. There’s no denying how much he’s improved in the last year.
Mr. Kennedy’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: Making his way to the ring, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, weighing in at 235 pounds, Mr. Kennedy.
Cole: Here comes Mr. Kennedy. King: Kennedy! Cole: Kennedy was out for months with an injury but is now back in the ring and is better than ever. King: How great would it be for him to come back and go into a championship match? That would be huge for Kennedy.
Legacy’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: And making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of 454 pounds, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Priceless.
Cole: And here they are. Orton’s lackeys, DiBiase & Rhodes. King: Well Michael I wouldn’t call them lackeys. Yes tonight they are working for Orton’s benefit but they are the future of this business thanks to being aligned with Randy Orton. Cole: There is no arguing that being apart of Legacy has bettered their career but these two are so great that they could have done without having to align themselves with that snake Orton.
Qualifying Match for WWE Championship Scramble Match
Over The Tope Rope Battle Royal
Mr. Kennedy vs. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston vs. The Brian Kendrick vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Ted DiBiase
-The match starts off with every man battling each other back and forth, with Priceless being the only two to work together. The Brian Kendrick is cornered by Priceless but is able to kick them away one at a time. Kendrick gets out of the corner and hits Rhodes with a dropkick. Kendrick gets right up and does a high leg lariat to DiBiase. Kendrick taunts and grabs Cody by the head. Kendrick goes for The Kendrick but Ted gets up and catches Kendrick as he flipped over. Priceless then tosses Kendrick right out of the ring who hits against the announce table. While this happens, Miz tosses Kofi over the top rope but Kofi lands on the apron. Miz turns around into a forearm by Kofi. Kofi goes for a springboard attack but Miz kicks the ropes in making Kofi land right on top of the ropes. Miz then delivers the Reality Check to Kofi in that position which knocks him out of the ring. Miz and Kennedy look at each other and realize they need to work together to eliminate Priceless if they want to have a chance of winning. The four of them fight back and forth until Kennedy and Miz get the advantage. Miz tells Kennedy to take Cody and toss him over the top rope. Kennedy goes for this but Miz turns on him and tosses him over the tope rope, but Kennedy holds on and gets on the apron. Miz didn’t see this and is taunting and screaming “All day long! Who’s the best?” Right at that point Miz turns around to see Kennedy on the apron. Miz runs at Kennedy but Kennedy kicks him through the middle rope. Kennedy then tries to suplex Miz over but Miz restrains from going to the floor and lands on the apron. The two exchange blows but Kennedy gets the better of it and rams Miz into the ring post and the Miz falls to the floor eliminating him. Kennedy looks down at Miz and screams “Kennedy!” Just then, DiBiase tries to take the advantage with a running high dropkick to Kennedy, but Kennedy spots this and pulls the top rope down as much as he can which sends DiBiase over the top rope and lands hard on the floor. Cody comes over and tries to hit and push Kennedy to the floor but Kennedy resists and knees Cody which allows Kennedy to get back into the ring. DiBiase with all he has left crawls over to the ring and grabs Kennedy’s foot. Kennedy tries to shake him off as Rhodes rushes towards him. Kennedy then ducks and back-body drops Rhodes to the outside onto DiBiase which wins Kennedy the match. Winner: Mr. Kennedy
Lillian: Here is your winner, Mr. Kennedy.
Cole: Mr. Kennedy eliminates Priceless to go onto Unforgiven for his WWE Championship shot. King: Yeah Kennedy is added to the Scramble match, but this must have made Orton even madder. Cole: I can only imagine how the WWE Champion is reacting right now. But Kennedy deserved it and will join John Cena and Randy Orton at Unforgiven.
Backstage we see Batista getting ready for his match and Matt Hardy comes walking by holding his head in pain
Batista: So Matt, that was a…a good match you had. To bad you didn’t win like you said you were going to. But it’s ok because so people like you are just all talk, whereas people like me…well I don’t talk, I just win.
Batista walks away and Matt looks on pissed off
Chavo Guerrero’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 215 pounds, Chavo Guerrero.
Cole: Welcome back to Raw as Chavo Guerrero makes his way to the ring. This match was made earlier tonight after the WWE Champion barged into Vickie Guerrero’s office complaining about the match at Unforgiven. Chavo then stepped in to defend his aunt and Vickie made the match. King: All Chavo was doing was defending his aunt Vickie, his family. And we all know how important family is to the Guerreros. And Chavo looks ready to defend his family’s honor and teach Orton a lesson. Cole: Well after Priceless lost the battle royal qualifying match, I don’t know if Chavo is going to want to face Orton.
Randy Orton’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: And his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, he is the WWE Champion, Randy Orton.
Cole: Here comes the WWE Champion and boy does he look like he’s in a bad mood. King: Orton looks like he’s gonna explode any second now. I wouldn’t want to be Chavo Guerrero right now. Cole: Remember, if Orton wins this match then he enters the Scramble Match at number 5, so there is an extra incentive for Orton to win on top of him just being pissed off.
Randy Orton vs. Chavo Guerrero
-Both men start off brawling each other. In the beginning it went back and forth, but at a point Orton hits running knee to the gut of Chavo. After that you can see the frustration on Orton’s face and the rage just letting loose. Orton stomps around Chavo viciously and doesn’t hold back from his relentless attack. Orton performs a few calculating moves like the DDT from the middle rope and a stiff kick to the side of the head. Orton stalks Chavo, screaming “Get Up! Get Up Now!” Orton hits the RKO on Chavo and goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Orton wins. Winner: Randy Orton
Lillian: Here is your winner Randy Orton.
Cole: You can tell Orton got a lot of anger out in that match, but wait King what his Orton doing now?
Orton stalks Chavo from the corner and goes to punt him in the head, but the referees and security stop him
King: Thank God! That would have been too much. Orton is going insane. Cole: Orton was not having a good night after finding out about the Scramble Match and Priceless losing, but that would have been too much. That was a defenseless Chavo that could have been taking out by that vile kick. King: Chavo was just trying to defend his family’s honor and stick up for himself. Unfortunately, he picked the wrong night to mess with Randy Orton. Cole: But anyway, after that win Orton is now the number 5 entry in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Which means he will enter the match last and the freshest, which slightly betters his chances of winning but not by much at all. King: That Scramble match is really anyone’s match. No one has a clear cut advantage and as we’ve seen in the past anything can happen. Cole: When we come back, we will have our final qualifying match here on Monday Night Raw.
Cole: Welcome back to Raw and next we will have our main event which is the third qualifying match for the scramble match at Unforgiven. King: That’s right Michael, it will be the Animal Batista verses the Game Triple H. We saw the Animal earlier tonight and he looks focused on winning and going on to Unforgiven to win the WWE Championship. Cole: Speaking of qualifying matches, our fourth and final qualifying match for Raw’s scramble match will be this Thursday on WWE Superstars were the Big Show will take on the United States Champion MVP. The winner joins WWE Champion Randy Orton, John Cena, Mr. Kennedy, and the winner of our main event in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven.
Batista’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: The following contest is a qualifying match for the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Washington D.C., weighing in at 290 pounds, Batista.
Cole: Here comes the Animal! Batista is ready and focused on becoming WWE Champion. King: Yeah but first he has to win tonight to even qualify for the championship match. Cole: And let me tell you King, it’s not gonna be an easy match.
Triple H’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: And his opponent, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in at 255 pounds, Triple H.
King: It’s time to play the Game! Cole: This is not the first time these two have been in the ring together. Former partners in Evolution, they faced off for the first time at WrestleMania 21. King: Batista won that match to become World Heavyweight Champion for the first time. Now let’s see who will move on to the Scramble Match at Unforgiven.
Qualifying Match for WWE Championship Scramble Match
Triple H vs. Batista
-The match was a pretty long match that the audience got into. Both men performed most of their main moves throughout the match and it was never one sided. Towards the end, Triple H hit the high knee and then the Double A Spine Buster on Batista. Triple H taunted to the crowd and got ready for the Pedigree. Batista reversed the Pedigree, shifting the momentum. Batista hit Triple H with a few strong clotheslines and then a Spear. Batista then delivered a Spine Buster to Triple H and taunted for the Batista Bomb with the thumbs down. Just then, Matt Hardy runs down to the ring and is on the apron screaming at Batista. Batista goes over to Matt and starts arguing with him. The referee tries to separate the two, but Batista pushes him aside a little rougher than he thought he did. The referee was up but holding his head and not looking at the action. Batista turned his head to look at the referee for one second which allowed Matt to deliver a Twist of Fate on the ropes. Batista backs up dazed right into Triple H who delivers a Pedigree. Triple H goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Triple H wins. Winner: Triple H
Lillian: Here is your winner Triple H.
Cole: So thanks to interference by Matt Hardy, Triple H wins and goes onto Unforgiven. King: Well it wasn’t the Game’s fault. He had no idea Matt was out here and what he did. Cole: That may be true King, but the bottom line is that Matt Hardy cost Batista the match.
Matt Hardy gets back into the ring and looks at Batista on the ground. Matt lifts him up and does the Twist of Fate to Batista. Matt then stares down at Batista with his hand held high and walks out with a smirk on his face screaming “who’s the loser now?”
Cole: I can’t believe what we just saw. Matt Hardy just took out the Animal Batista, and right after he lost his match. King: Earlier on, these two had a few interactions backstage and I think this was Matt’s way of getting back at Batista for making fun of him after he lost his qualifying match. Cole: Matt Hardy is showing us that he really has changed and that he wants to be taken seriously. And I think standing tall at the end of Raw is exactly what he wanted. What a Raw tonight. So much unexpected happened. Thank you for joining us here tonight, goodnight everyone.
Mr. Kennedy in the main event picture is a VERY good thing. Your writing needs a little bit of fixing. Lots of spelling errors. I like the prospect of a Hardy/Batista feud. It was the focul point of the show. I also like how you have the intros to every superstar. WHERE were the commercials? You need those breaks to slow the pace a little. Try implementing them. Overall, it was fair first effort. 5/10
Location: Picking up James Richardson's cappuccino and dessert tab
Re: AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future
This is does show a lot of promise. Matt Hardy could break into the main event scene on this. However, as said you do need commercials, and maybe centre the text so it looks nicer? Not bad for a first effort, 6/10.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The tips you gave me were helpful and I'm working them in for my next post of ECW/WWE Superstars, which may be up by tomorrow already but most likely Wednesday. I'm glad to see the Batista/Matt Hardy feud is catching everyone's attention. And RKO-Vs-FU-Vs-619 you're right Batista was in a Scramble match last year. I completely forgot that it was him and not Cena in it, good catch. Anyway a preview for ECW & WWE Superstars will be up probably early tomorrow. Keep the feedback coming!
Check out my Be The Booker AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future

ECW 8/25/09 ECW Opening Video is shown
Pyro goes off as the crowd goes wild
Mathews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to ECW. I’m Josh Mathews along side Matt Striker, and Matt what an explosive week we’ve had so far. Striker: That’s right Josh. We are just two days removed from SummerSlam and Christian is still our ECW Champion. Mathews: Not only that, but on Raw it was announced that the WWE Board of Directors have decided that at Unforgiven every World Title match will be a Scramble Match. Striker: Probably the most unique match-up in WWE history. There is no advantage for the champion and anyone can win. Mathews: And tonight we will have three qualifying matches for the ECW Championship Scramble Match. In our main event tonight we will see the All American American Jack Swagger take on the fighting Irishman Finlay. Striker: We will also see tonight the high flying Evan “Air” Bourne take on one member of the Hart Dynasty, Tyson Kidd. Mathews: And coming up in just a moment it will be the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry taking on the Moscow Mauler Vladimir Kozlov. Striker: Not to mention this Thursday on WWE Superstars we will see the fourth and final qualifying match that will be announced later tonight. Mathews: But for right now, let’s get ECW started.
Mark Henry’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, being accompanied by Tony Atlas, from Silsbee, Texas, weighing in at 392 pounds, The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry.
Mathews: The World’s Strongest Man of course making his way to the ring with WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas. Striker: Tony Atlas is the prefect person to be in Mark’s corner and could be a big factor here in this match. Mathews: Last year around this time Mark Henry was the ECW Champion and lost his title in the Scramble Match. I’m sure Mark would like to get his title back in the match he lost it in one year ago.
Vladimir Kozlov’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: And his opponent, from Moscow, weighing in at 302 pounds, Vladimir Kozlov.
Striker: And here comes the huge Russian, Vladimir Kozlov. Mathews: No one on ECW has been able to stop the Moscow Mauler so this will be a very interesting match-up. Striker: Yes it will Josh. Two big strong men fighting it out. Neither is very accustomed to losing or being out powered, so it will interesting to see who will get the upper hand and how.
Qualifying Match for ECW Championship Scramble Match
Vladimir Kozlov vs. Mark Henry
-The two start off the match trying to out power the other but neither is successful. They continue to go back and forth trying to hit power moves on each other for most of the match. Towards the end, Kozlov is in control of the match. The referee is so concentrated with Kozlov in the center of the ring with Henry that he doesn’t notice Tony Atlas up on the apron exposing one of the top turnbuckles. Atlas then yells at Kozlov to get his attention. Kozlov goes over to Atlas and is about to hit him when Henry attacks him from behind. Henry starts to club Kozlov in the back. Henry then tries to lift Kozlov for the World’s Strongest Slam but Kozlov fights his way out of it and backs up to the corner where the turnbuckle is exposed. As Kozlov tries to regain his composure, Henry charges at Kozlov for a splash in the corner but Kozlov moves, making Henry splash the exposed turnbuckle. Henry stumbles out of the corner holding his ribs. Kozlov turns him around and hits Henry with the Iron Curtain. Kozlov goes for the pin, 1…2…3 Kozlov wins. Winner: Vladimir Kozlov
Chimel: Here is your winner, Vladimir Kozlov.
Striker: What a match we saw. Both were evenly matched, but Kozlov was able to get the best of The World’s Strongest Man. Mathews: With that win, Kozlov qualifies for the Scramble Match and moves one step closer to the ECW Championship. Striker: But the last step is a tough one. The Scramble Match is not an easy match to win, but Kozlov, with his size and power, may be able to dominate the match or at least give himself an advantage. Mathews: Two more qualifying matches tonight here on ECW. Don’t go anywhere, we’ll be right back.
Backstage we see General Manager Tommy Dreamer and his assistant Tiffany in Dreamer’s office when Zack Ryder walks in
Dreamer: Come in Zack. Ryder: So what did you want to see me for Tommy? Dreamer: Well Zack, you know that at Unforgiven there will be a Scramble Match to determine the ECW Championship, right? Ryder: Yeah of course I do. Thanks for telling me what I already know. But what you should be telling me is why I’m not wrestling tonight in one of the qualifying matches. I mean just look at me. I’ve got it all. I’m incredibly athletic in the ring and I look good doing it. [He points to Tiffany] Yeah you know it babe. Dreamer: Hey, pay attention. She wouldn’t go for you anyway. You have a good point and that’s why I brought you in here. This Thursday on WWE Superstars we will have the final qualifying match and you are going to be in it. Ryder: Really? Woo Woo Woo! You Know It! I knew I was too good not to get a shot. So who am I facing? Dreamer: You will be facing someone who also wants his time to shine, just like you.
Dreamer looks over at the door, letting us know that someone has just walked in
Dreamer: As a matter of fact, here he is now.
Ryder turns around and we see Paul Burchill with Katie Lea walk up
Ryder: This guy? I can beat him. That’s not even a challenge. Burchill: You really thing that you can beat The Ripper that easily? I was raised fighting and wrestling on the England streets that are more out of control than your hair. Ryder: Whoa, whoa. Did you just diss the hair? No one does that. You’re just jealous that I’m better looking than you. I get all the girls in the clubs, and you…you only have your sister, who keeps eyeing me just like the rest of them. Burchill: This isn’t about hair, looks, or girls. This is about wrestling and being the ECW Champion. But I guess you rather spend hours on your hair instead of preparing for a match, which is why I am confident that I will win this Thursday and will soon be the new ECW Champion. Ryder: I have so much talent that I don’t even need to prepare. On WWE Superstars you will find out that Zack Ryder is not just a pretty face, but can kick ass too. And I will then go to the Scramble Match at Unforgiven to get my shot. Will I walk out of Unforgiven ECW Champion? [pause] You know it!
Ryder walks out staring down Burchill and makes the “call me” hand sign as he passes Katie Lea. Burchill stares at Ryder as he walks out of the office
Burchill: Someone needs to teach that “pretty boy” a lesson in what wrestling is all about. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do this week.
Mathews: Welcome back to ECW on Syfy and before the commercial break we heard huge news. This Thursday on WWE Superstars it will be Zack Ryder verse Paul Burchill in the final qualifying match for the ECW Scramble Match. Striker: Both men seem very determined to make an impact and move on to the ECW Championship match at Unforgiven. That match, being that it’s so unpredictable, could put one of those men on the map and on a road straight to the top. Mathews: That match will happen this Thursday, but right now we are about to have our second qualifying match.
Evan Bourne’s music hits and the crowd cheers Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.
Mathews: The unpredictable Evan “Air” Bourne. Earlier tonight we saw Vladimir Kozlov advance. Will Evan Bourne become the second challenger to enter the Scramble Match? Striker: Evan Bourne has all the God-given talent in the world. Each week he manages to shock and amaze you with not just the same moves but with different innovative moves as well. Mathews: You never know what you’re going to get with Bourne in the ring.
The Hart Dynasty’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by David Hart Smith and Natalya, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 199 pounds, Tyson Kidd.
Striker: Here is his opponent, Tyson Kidd and along side him are his fellow Hart Dynasty members. Mathews: An impressive collection of superstars there in the Hart Dynasty. David Hart Smith the son of the British Bulldog, Natalya the daughter of Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, and Tyson Kidd the protégé of Bret Hart. Striker: Not to mention Tyson was the last person ever to graduate from the infamous Hart Family Dungeon. No doubt that the Hart Dynasty will be a factor in this match-up. Evan Bourne needs to take that into account.
Qualifying Match for ECW Championship Scramble Match
Tyson Kidd vs. Evan Bourne
-A very fast-paced match by these two. Bourne used his usual unique high-flying moves while Kidd tried to ground Bourne with his technical and submissive skills. Smith & Natalya do end up getting involved a few times, which always gave Kidd the momentum. Towards the end, Bourne has control of the match. Bourne knocks Kidd down with a kick and looks to go to the top rope for the Air Bourne. But before Bourne can get to the top rope, Smith grabs his leg. Bourne kicks him off but the distraction allowed for Kidd to get up. Kidd suplexs Bourne into the ring. Kidd then goes out on the apron and goes for the Springboard Elbow Drop but Bourne moves. They both get to their feet facing each other. Kidd goes for a kick but misses and then gets hit by a huge knee to the face by Bourne which knocks him down and out. Bourne then goes up top and hits the Air Bourne. Bourne goes for the cover, 1…2...3 Bourne wins. Winner: Evan Bourne
Chimel: Here is your winner, Evan Bourne.
Mathews: What a match! A great fast-paced match. And what a win by Evan Bourne. Striker: Evan “Air” Bourne seals the deal with the Shooting Star Press and earns himself a spot in the Scramble Match. Mathews: That’s right Matt. So far in the ECW Championship Scramble Match we have of course the ECW Champion Christian, the Moscow Mauler Vladimir Kozlov, and now Evan “Air” Bourne. Striker: Two more spots left in the match. We know the qualifying matches that are left, but who will move on to this great opportunity? We will find out whether one challenger will be Jack Swagger or Finlay in our main event tonight here on ECW.
Backstage we see Evan Bourne walking by after his match being congratulated by a few fellow ECW superstars. Evan walks on and runs into Jack Swagger
Swagger: Congratulations. Somehow you pulled off a win out there and moved onto Unforgiven in the ECW Title match. But just know one thing Evan, I am a two time, two time All American. I am a former ECW Champion, unlike you. I have what it takes to win the Scramble Match, unlike you. You might have your flashy moves, but I have speed, power, and technical skills, not to mention the obvious size advantage. So why don’t you sit down and watch how a true champion wrestles. And when I win my qualifying match, there is no doubt that I will go to Unforgiven and take out everyone in my way, including you. I will once again become ECW Champion, and you, nor anyone else, can’t stop me. Let’s face it, you’re not ECW Championship material, unlike the All American American …Jack Swagger.
Swagger walks off to the ring, while Bourne stands there holding his ribs and stares down Swagger with a stern look on his face
Striker: Wow, strong words from Jack Swagger to Evan Bourne. Mathews: But can Swagger back his words up? We’ll find out when we return to ECW with our main event.
Finlay’s music hits and the crowd cheers Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, weighing in at 233 pounds, Finlay.
Mathews: The fighting Irishman makes his way to the ring in hopes of qualifying for the Scramble Match. Striker: Finlay has the experience advantage in this match, but Swagger has picked up a lot quickly. Finlay needs to use his brawling style to his advantage and avoid mat wrestling. Mathews: Finlay may be the person to make Swagger eat his own words.
Jack Swagger’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: And his opponent, from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 263 pounds, The All American American, Jack Swagger.
Striker: And here he is, the All American American Jack Swaggaaa! I love that name! Mathews: I’ve noticed that Matt. But just to bring it back up quickly, moments ago we saw Swagger talking trash to Evan Bourne. He was talking about how Bourne has never won the title, how he’s better than Bourne, and how Bourne isn’t ECW Championship material. What is that about? Striker: That’s just Swagger being Swagger. He happened to see Bourne on his way to the ring and wanted to remind Bourne of who he may have to contest against at Unforgiven. Mathews: Maybe Swagger should win the qualifying match first before he trash talks anyone.
Qualifying Match for ECW Championship Scramble Match
Jack Swagger vs. Finlay
-The match is even throughout with Swagger grounding Finlay and Finlay out-brawling Swagger. Towards the end Finlay takes control after some hard shots to Swagger. Finlay hits Swagger with multiple clotheslines and forearms to the face. Finlay then lifts Swagger up for the Celtic Cross, but Swagger elbows Finlay in the face to get out of it. Finlay, hold his face, turns around right into a boot by Swagger. Swagger then lifts up an almost lifeless Finlay and delivers the Gutwrench Powerbomb to him. Swagger goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Swagger picks up the win. Winner: Jack Swagger
Chimel: Here is your winner, Jack Swagger.
Striker: What a main event that was. And now we know that Jack Swaggaaa will be in the ECW Scramble Match. Mathews: What a showing for Jack Swagger… Striker: No Josh, it’s Jack Swaggaaa. You need to say it like that. Mathews: I rather not. Anyway, Jack Swagger joins ECW Champion Christian, Vladimir Kozlov, and Evan Bourne at Unforgiven in the ECW Championship Scramble Match. Striker: There is one spot left and we will find out if it will go to Zack Ryder or Paul Burchill on WWE Superstars this Thursday. Mathews: Thank you for joining us here on ECW, goodnight.

The crowd goes wild
Cole: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to WWE Superstars. This week it’s all about the Scramble Matches at Unforgiven. King: That’s right, this Monday on Raw it was announced by Vickie Guerrero that the WWE Board of Directors decided to make every World Title match at Unforgiven a Scramble Match. Cole: Each brand is having its own qualifying matches and tonight we will see three qualifying matches for each brand’s respective Scramble Match. Our main event for tonight comes from Smackdown. They will have their first qualifying match when Rey Mysterio faces off against John Morrison. King: What a match that will be, but right now we will have the Raw portion of the show. We will see the final qualifying match for the WWE Championship Scramble Match when MVP takes on the Big Show. Let’s get things started here on WGN.
MVP’s music hits and the crowd cheers Lillian: The following contest is the final qualifying match for the WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 249 pounds, he is the United States Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP.
Cole: The current United States Champion making his way to the ring and you know that MVP would love to add the WWE Championship to his collection. King: I’m sure MVP would love to wear two gold belts coming to the ring. Cole: We’re gonna see tonight if MVP really is ballin’. King: Did you really just say ballin’? Cole: Yeah, why not? King: It sounds weird coming from your mouth.
Big Show’s music hits and the crowd boos Lillian: And his opponent, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 485 pounds, the Big Show.
Cole: There’s no fun and games for this man, the Big Show. He is all business tonight. King: How is MVP going to combat against the world’s largest athlete? Cole: I don’t know King, but MVP is a great wrestler and we can’t count him out yet. He’s the United States Champion for a reason. King: I’m not doubting his abilities, but this would be a tough challenge for anyone that stepped into the ring.
Qualifying Match for WWE Championship Scramble Match
Big Show vs. MVP
-The match starts off with MVP going right after Big Show and trying to use his quickness to his advantage. MVP’s strikes don’t have much effect on Big Show. Big Show takes control after a massive headbutt to MVP. Big Show continues to dominate the match with a series of blows and power moves. MVP eventually reverses Big Show after ducking under a clothesline and chop blocks his legs. MVP keeps doing this until the big man falls down. MVP continues to target the legs of Big Show. MVP is able to get in a few knees and even a DDT on Big Show. MVP taunts to the crowd and performs the Ballin’ Elbow. MVP sets up and goes for the Drive-By Kick, but Big Show catches his foot. Big Show stands up holding his foot, grabs him by the throat and then Chokeslams him. Big Show then goes for the pin, 1…2…3 Big Show wins. Winner: Big Show
Lillian: Here is your winner the Big Show.
King: What a match. MVP put up a good fight, but the world’s largest athlete was just too much for MVP. Cole: MVP did the best he could, but the Big Show is so powerful that no one, not even the United States Champion, can get up combat it. But anyway, Big Show won which means he moves onto Unforgiven in the WWE Championship Scramble Match. King: That’s right. It will be Randy Orton, John Cena, Mr. Kennedy, Triple H, and now the Big Show all fighting in one of the most unique matches for the ultimate prize, the WWE Championship. Cole: And don’t forget Randy Orton will enter the match at number 5 thanks to his win on Raw this past Monday. Who will win? We will find out on September 13th at Unforgiven.
Mathews: Welcome to the ECW portion of the show. Tonight we will see who the final man in the ECW Championship Scramble Match will be. Striker: You are all in a treat tonight. Two young and hungry superstars going at it for a chance of a lifetime. An opportunity that can elevate their careers to heights they never thought imaginable. The Ripper Paul Burchill verses the Long Island pretty boy Zack Ryder. Mathews: And right now we will take you backstage for an interview with Paul Burchill.
Backstage a reporter is with Paul Burchill with Katie Lea along side him
Reporter: Paul, on ECW this week, the qualifying match for tonight was announced between Zack Ryder and yourself. But in the office we saw some verbal confrontation between the two of you. What are your thoughts on that and on tonight? Burchill: On ECW I felt like I was arguing with a little child. Zack Ryder is just an immature, overrated, annoying, pretty boy. He is the definition of a tool. Katie Lea: He had the audacity to say that I was checking him out and tried to belittle my brother. Well his immature tactics will not work on us and will not get inside my brother Paul’s head. And I find it funny that he believes that I would be interested in him. Burchill: And what’s even funnier is that he thinks he’s going to beat me tonight in the qualifying match. Well tonight I show Zack Ryder that he is nothing more than a joke, and that you don’t mess with The Ripper Paul Burchill.
Mathews: The final qualifying match for the ECW Scramble Match is next. Stay tuned.
Zack Ryder’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the ECW Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 214 pounds, Zack Ryder.
Mathews: Welcome back to WWE Superstars. This is the final ECW qualifying match, and here comes Zack Ryder. Striker: The Long Island pretty boy looking to make a name for himself and show he can be a top superstar on ECW. Mathews: Ryder wants to be known as a great wrestler and not just the Woo Woo Woo guy. What does that mean? Striker: I have no idea but it’s annoying yet catchy at the same time.
Paul Burchill’s music hits and the crowd boos Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by Katie Lea, from Chelsea, England, weighing in at 247 pounds, Paul Burchill.
Striker: Here comes the Ripper! Before the commercial break we heard from Burchill who had a few choice words for the tool Zack Ryder. Mathews: A tool? Anyway, Burchill seems to have more of a confident attitude and looks to take that next step and show everyone why he should be ECW Champion. Striker: Well both men in this match want to prove they can be at the top, but only one will get the title opportunity at Unforgiven. Who will it be? We’re going to find out right now.
Qualifying Match for ECW Championship Scramble Match
Zack Ryder vs. Paul Burchill
-The match-up is a very even, back and forth contest. Ryder continuously acts cocky and points over to Katie Lea on the outside. Towards the end of the match, Ryder is in control. He does the “call me” hand sign to Katie Lea but it costs him as Burchill blind-sides him with a clothesline. Ryder gets up slowly in the corner as Burchill stalks him. Burchill goes for the double knees to the chest but Ryder moves. Burchill gets up and Ryder hits his patented jumping leg lariat on him. Ryder then sets Burchill up for the Zack Attack, but before he can execute the move Katie Lea gets up on the apron. The referee yells at her to get down. Ryder gets distracted by Katie Lee for a moment which allows Burchill to reverse the Zack Attack and he immediately nails the Twisted Sister on Ryder. Burchill goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Burchill wins. Winner: Paul Burchill
Chimel: Here is your winner, Paul Burchill.
Striker: What a match-up. Paul Burchill seized the moment and won this qualifying match. Mathews: And now we have all five competitors in the ECW Champion Scramble Match at Unforgiven. It will be the ECW Champion Christian, Vladimir Kozlov, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, and Paul Burchill. Striker: It’s any man’s match. Any of these five could walk out ECW Champion come Unforgiven. Mathews: Don’t go anywhere. Up next is the main event here on WWE Superstars coming from Smackdown. It will be Rey Mysterio verses John Morrison after this commercial break.
JR: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Smackdown portion here on WWE Superstars, and Todd what a main event we have in stored. Grisham: That’s right. It will be the first qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. The ultimate underdog Rey Mysterio faces off against the shaman of sexy John Morrison. JR: Two incredible athletes, which one will be the first challenger to join Edge at Unforgiven?
Rey Mysterio’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 175 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion, Rey Mysterio.
Grisham: Here comes the ever so quick Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio. JR: Well in this match Mysterio can’t just rely on his quickness to win him the match since Morrison is a quick high flier as well. Grisham: The masked superstar though does have the experience factor in this match which could come into play.
John Morrison’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 219 pounds, John Morrison.
Grisham: And here comes the Guru of Greatness John Morrison looking to get his big opportunity at the World Title. JR: I’ve always said this, John Morrison is a main event waiting to happen and this could be his big step forward to accomplishing that task. Grisham: Yes but Mysterio, despite being small, is a big step to overcome.
Qualifying Match for World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match
Rey Mysterio vs. John Morrison
-Before the match both men shake hands. The match is even the entire time with both men maintaining a fast pace. Both use kicks and high-flying maneuvers the whole time. Towards the end, Morrison slams Rey down by the corner. Morrison goes for the Starship Pain but Rey moves just in time. Rey then does a step-up enzuguiri to Morrison which makes him land on the second rope. Rey runs off the ropes to go for the 619 but Morrison gets up quickly and hits the Flying Chuck on Rey as he comes back. Morrison goes for the cover, 1…2… Rey kicks out. Morrison picks Rey up and sets up for the Moonlight Drive but Rey reverses it. Rey then dropkicks Morrison from behind setting him up on the second rope again. Rey goes for the 619 but Morrison ducks and quickly rolls Rey up in a unique way for the pin, 1…2…3 Morrison wins. Winner: John Morrison
Justin: Here is your winner, John Morrison
JR: What a match that was. A great performance by both men. Grisham: And now we know John Morrison will join World Heavyweight Champion Edge in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven. That match is anyone’s game and could be a big opportunity for Morrison. JR: Morrison has the same chance at winning the title as everyone else in that match, but we will see what happens come Unforgiven. Grisham: And on Smackdown tomorrow night we will find out who the other three participants in the match will be when we have three qualifying matches. Thank you for joining us here on WGN for WWE Superstars.
This week on Smackdown we will determine the final three participants in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match. The matches will be a 6 Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal, CM Punk vs. Kane, & Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy. So far World Heavyweight Champion Edge & John Morrison are in. Who will join them at Unforgiven in one of the most unique matches in WWE history? Find out on Smackdown.

Pyro goes off as the crowd goes wild
Grisham: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Friday Night Smackdown. I’m Todd Grisham along side Hall of Famer Jim Ross. JR, are you ready for tonight? JR: Yes I am Todd. Tonight we have a hell of a show for you. We will have three qualifying matches for the World Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. We will see Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk take on the Big Red Monster Kane in one qualifying match. And our main event, the cocky and arrogant Chris Jericho will go one-on-one with the extreme enigma Jeff Hardy, in what will be the final qualifying match. Grisham: That’s not all. In just a few moments we will see a six man over the top rope battle royal to determine a spot in the Championship Scramble Match. Which three superstars will join John Morrison and World Champion Edge at Unforgiven in one of the most unpredictable matches in WWE history? We’re about to find out.
Justin: The following contest is an over the top rope battle royal for a spot in the WWE Championship scramble match at Unforgiven. Superstars are eliminated when they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The last person in the ring wins the match.
Shelton Benjamin’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: Making his way to the ring, from Orangeburg, South Carolina, weighing in at 248 pounds, The Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin.
Grisham: Here comes the Gold Standard as we get ready for this huge battle royal. JR: Shelton has all the tools to make it big in this company. All he needs is that one defining moment. Grisham: Well this could be that moment if he picks up a win here. Scramble match or not, a World Title shot is a big deal.
Umaga’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: Making his way to the ring, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 350 pounds, Umaga.
JR: Here is the man you’re going to need to watch out for. Grisham: The huge Samoan Bulldozer makes his way to the ring. JR, how is anyone going to eliminate this huge, dominating man? JR: I don’t know but keep an eye on Umaga. A World Title shot is definitely in this man’s future.
Charlie Haas’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: Making his way to the ring, from Dallas, Texas, weighing in at 249 pounds, Charlie Haas.
Grisham: Here comes Charlie Haas who looks to make a huge statement here tonight. JR: Haas is a great pure athlete and a very smart man, but he’s going to need to start racking up some big wins in order to move forward. Grisham: I agree. Haas has shown us what he can do in the tag division, now it’s time to show us what he can do as a singles competitor.
Mike Knox’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: Making his way to the ring, from Phoenix, Arizona, weighing in at 293 pounds, Mike Knox.
JR: Here is someone that I think you should look out for in the future. Grisham: The massive Mike Knox. We’ve seen what he can do in the past but he says we haven’t seen anything yet from him. JR: The future looks bright for Knox and this could be a big opportunity for him to establish himself.
The Great Khali’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: Making his way to the ring, being accompanied by Ranjin Singh, from India, weighing in at 420 pounds, The Great Khali.
Grisham: Oh my! The largest man on the Smackdown roster, The Great Khali. How is anyone going to get him over the top rope? JR: The only way that is going to happen is by team work. No one man will be able to eliminate Khali. Grisham: Khali definitely has the advantage going into a match like this and could very well be the favorite.
Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: And making his way to the ring, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 221 pounds, Dolph Ziggler.
Grisham: We talked about the future for a lot of these superstars, but none may have a better one than this man Dolph Ziggler. JR: Ziggler is brash, cocky, arrogant, but so talented. I say this every week, Dolph Ziggler will be a big threat in this company in the future. Grisham: He’s already moving his way up in the rankings and winning this match could put him over the edge.
Qualifying Match for World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match
Over The Top Rope Battle Royal
Shelton Benjamin vs. Umaga vs. Charlie Haas vs. Mike Knox vs. The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler
-The match starts off with everyone brawling and trying to eliminate one another. At a point, Khali is dominating everyone, knocking them all down one by one. They all then stop, look at Khali, and join together to eliminate the big man. They all start brawling again. After a bit, Knox is beating up Ziggler, who is laying on the ropes. Knox backs up, runs, and goes for a bicycle kick on Ziggler, but Ziggler moves and pulls the rope down. Knox gets his foot caught over the rope but manages to barely hold on. Ziggler then comes from behind and dropkicks Knox out of the ring, eliminating him. While that is going on, Umaga is being double teamed by Benjamin and Haas. They work hard to knock him down and weaken him. Haas sets up for the Leapfrog double team on Umaga, but when Shelton goes to jump over Haas, Haas turns around, catches Shelton in the air and drops him on the ropes. Haas then takes Shelton and throws him over the top rope but Shelton holds on. Shelton skins the cat, getting back in the ring, and goes right after Haas. They both try to suplex each other out of the ring but both fail. Shelton finally gets Haas over the rope but he lands on the apron. Haas delivers a forearm to Shelton. Haas tries to get back in the ring but Shelton cuts him off with a kick. Shelton then hits Pay Dirt on Haas which guillotines him on the top rope and sends Haas to the floor, eliminating him. Ziggler and Shelton start attacking Umaga but have trouble trying to get him over the top rope. Ziggler then double crosses Shelton and tries to eliminate him. Shelton lands on the apron and the two exchange punches. Ziggler then rakes Shelton’s eyes which stuns him but Shelton still holds on. Ziggler turns around into a kick from Umaga. Umaga lifts Ziggler up and tosses him onto Shelton which eliminates them both. Winner: Umaga
Justin: Here is your winner: Umaga
Grisham: What a match and a huge win for Umaga. He now joins Edge and John Morrison in the Scramble Match. JR: No doubt about it Umaga will be someone to watch out for in the Scramble Match but will he be able to win the World Heavyweight Title at Unforgiven in one of the most random and unique matches ever made? Grisham: Not even Umaga’s size and power gives him much of an advantage over everyone in this type of match, but nonetheless Umaga is going to Unforgiven. JR: We will find out who will join him in our two final qualifying matches of the night. Don’t go anywhere, we’ll be right back.
Backstage in Long’s office we see Theodore Long sitting when Curt Hawkins walks in
Long: Hey, Curt Hawkins. Hawkins: Teddy. I need to talk to you about something. Long: Go on playa. What’s up? Hawkins: Well people only know me as a tag team wrestler or as Edge’s former lackey. No one knows the real Curt Hawkins. I have so much skill and I just want an opportunity to prove it. I want to prove it to you and to the fans. Long: I feel ya. Let me tell you something, I’ll give you your opportunity soon enough. And if you impress then the opportunities will keep on rolling. Hawkins: Thanks Teddy. You have no idea how much that means to me.
Hawkins goes to turn around and is in the face of the World Champion Edge
Edge: What are you doing here? I thought after I tossed you and your idiot partner aside a year ago you would be out of a job. Hawkins: Well I guess you were wrong then cause I’m still here and I’m ready to prove myself. Edge: Prove yourself? How? By being a tool just like your former partner?
Hawkins gets up in the face of Edge pissed off as Edge stands there calmly
Edge: You know what? I have no time for this. I have important stuff to deal with. Little specks like you don’t deserve my time and attention. Teddy, we need to talk now. Long: What’s wrong Edge? Edge: How could you allow the Scramble Match idea to go through? It’s unfair and I refuse to defend my title in that match. Long: Well Edge you have no choice. The decision was made by the WWE Board of Directors and it’s final. There’s no way to get out of it. Edge: And I’m sure you didn’t fight for my side of this. You probably wanted this match because you hate me as champion. You know my title is in jeopardy. Well I demand the number five entry in the match. Long: I’m not going to do that Edge. Edge: I’m the champion, do you understand that? I should automatically be entering last in the match. Long: Well I’m the general manager, do you understand that? This isn’t Raw playa. I’m not doing that. You have to pick your number that night at random like everyone else. But while you’re here, I was going to put you in action tonight and I think I just thought of the perfect match for you. Tonight in a non-titled match it will be Edge verses….Curt Hawkins.
Hawkins is behind Edge and looks shocked yet happy at the opportunity. Edge turns around to look at Hawkins
Edge: What are you smiling at? That isn’t a good thing for you. Hawkins: You sure about that Edge? Because I see this as my big opportunity. I think this could be the night that the former student beats the lousy teacher. Edge: Opportunity? Opportunity? I’m Mr. Opportunity. I cashed in the Money In The Bank successfully twice. This isn’t your opportunity tonight. This is your downfall.
Edge then walks out of the room as Hawkins stands there
Michelle McCool’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: The following diva’s contest is scheduled for one fall. Making her way to the ring, being accompanied by Alicia Fox, from Palatka, Florida, Michelle McCool.
Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and it’s time for our divas contest. Here comes the confident Michelle McCool with her protégé Alicia Fox. JR: Michelle was the first ever Diva’s Champion and has told us on many occasions that she wants to be the first woman wrestler to have held both the Diva’s and Women’s Championships. Grisham: Well a win here could put her right in title contention.
Maria’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: And her opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, Maria.
Grisham: Maria’s on her way down to the ring. She looks ready but she has a big challenge ahead of her. JR: No doubt about it. Michelle is the better of the two but Maria has been improving greatly lately. Don’t count Maria out in this contest.
Michelle McCool vs. Maria
-Michelle basically dominates most of the match. She toys with Maria and acts cocky as she taunts to the crowd and yells at Maria. Michelle goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Michelle wins. Winner: Michelle McCool
Justin: Here is your winner, Michelle McCool
JR: Maria put up a good fight, but Michelle just showed her why she was the first Diva’s Champion. Grisham: Melina better be on notice because Michelle may have just stepped her way into being number one contender.
Alicia Fox gets into the ring with Michelle and they both look down at a beaten Maria
Grisham: I don’t like the look of this.
Michelle and Alicia start to beat up Maria
JR: Come on. Enough is enough. You won the match. She’s defenseless!
Just then Melina and Gail Kim come down to the ring to save Maria
Grisham: Here come Melina and Gail Kim to teach Michelle and Alicia a lesson.
Michelle and Alicia escape and walk up the ramp smirking. Michelle taunts around her waist signaling for Melina’s title as Melina looks on at Michelle angrily
JR: Michelle wanted to do one thing tonight and that was to send a message to Melina that she not only wants the Women’s Title but that she deserves it. I think she accomplished her task. Grisham: No doubt Michelle is on Melina’s radar now. Well still to come tonight, Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk takes on the Big Red Machine Kane, and in our main event Chris Jericho faces Jeff Hardy in our two final qualifying matches. Stay tuned for this and more.
Backstage we see Chris Jericho with a reporter being interviewed
Reporter: I am here with Chris Jericho. Jericho, tonight you have a match with Jeff Hardy where the winner gets a spot in the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Jericho: Yeah I know that. What are you going to say next? You going to ask me if I think I can win? Reporter: I was just…. Jericho: Shut your mouth junior. You and your stupid questions are irrelevant to me. Tonight I will beat Jeff Hardy and go onto Unforgiven to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Some of you may have forgotten but last year I won the World Title in the Scramble Match after having a grueling unsanctioned match with Shawn Michaels. That shows just how great and tough I am. No one around here gives me credit. Not the commentators, not the wrestlers, not all the hypocrites watching this, and especially not Theodore Long. I’m the best at what I do. I was the first ever Undisputed Champion. I’m better than every single person on the Smackdown…no on the entire WWE Roster and no one can say otherwise or prove me wrong. I don’t care how “over” you are with the fans, how big you are, how quick you are, if you’re Straight-Edge or a Monster. I, Chris Jericho, am the greatest wrestler of all time and it’s time for everyone to recognize that.
Kane then walks in the shot. He stares at Jericho and then walks away to go to the ring for his match. Jericho turns around and stares off at Kane with a stern look on his face.
Grisham: It will be Kane verses CM Punk in a Scramble qualifying match when we return.
CM Punk’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.
Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and here comes the Chicago-Made CM Punk holding that Money In The Bank briefcase of course. JR: Punk has until WrestleMania 26 to cash that World Title shot in. Punk just wants to wait for the right moment, just like last year when he cashed it in on World Champion Edge who ironically is the current World Champion. Grisham: The question is JR when will Punk cash it in? But right now he has the chance to earn a World Title match without even cashing in his briefcase.
Kane’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: And his opponent, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane.
Grisham: And here comes the Big Red Machine ready for action. Before the commercial break we saw Kane give Jericho a weird look after Jericho said he better than everyone in the WWE. JR: Kane seemed to have take exception that Jericho’s comments. No doubt Kane would love to send a message to Chris Jericho tonight, showing him the kind of wrestler he is, but Kane needs to focus on winning and going onto the Scramble Match. Grisham: Which one of these two men will be going to Unforgiven? We’re about to find out.

Punk gets back in the ring and lifts up a stunned Kane. Punk hits the GTS and goes for a cover quickly, 1…2…3 Punk wins. Winner: CM Punk
Justin: Here is your winner, CM Punk.
JR: CM Punk has picked up a literally a big win here over Kane and now moves on to the Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Grisham: Punk will join John Morrison, Umaga, and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Things seem to be going well for Mr. Money In The Bank. Can he keep things rolling? JR: Punk is no doubt a great competitor and will battle in his first Scramble Match after being taken out at the last minute before last years Scramble Match.
Backstage we see World Heavyweight Champion walking to the ring
Grisham: Well up next we will see the World Heavyweight Champion Edge take on his former protégé Curt Hawkins. JR: Will this be Curt Hawkins’s shining moment or will Edge crush his opportunity?
Just then CM Punk comes through, coming back from his match. The two stop and look at each other. Punk holds his briefcase up, looks at it, looks at the World Title around Edge’s waist, but then shakes his head no and walks away.
Edge’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 250 pounds, he is the World Heavyweight Champion, the Rated R Superstar, Edge.
Grisham: Welcome back and here comes the World Heavyweight Champion, hoping to blow through this match with ease. JR: Being the experienced wrestler that he is, Edge should know not to underestimate anyone, especially one of his former protégés. Grisham: Well Edge taught Hawkins for a year so they both know each other very well in the ring.
Curt Hawkins’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: And his opponent, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 221 pounds, Curt Hawkins.
JR: This kid has all the potential in the world. He asked for an opportunity to prove himself and opportunities don’t get much bigger than facing the World Heavyweight Champion. Grisham: A win over Edge here will send Hawkins’s career to skyrocket. He needs to make the most of this match. JR: Although Hawkins needs to watch out for the rage and anger of the World Champion. He is not the happiest person since learning about the Scramble Match.
Edge vs. Curt Hawkins
-Edge takes control of the match from the beginning. He slows the pace and acts cocky the whole time, thinking the match is a joke. At a point, Hawkins ends up reversing Edge after he takes too much time. Hawkins quickens the pace and has some control in the match. Hawkins hits a nice dropkick and then goes to the top rope. Hawkins waits for Edge to get up and then jumps off for a crossbody, but Edge ends up reversing it into a Spear. Unfortunately for Edge the impact from the spear sends Hawkins out of the ring. Edge goes to the outside and gets him back in the ring as quickly as he can. Edge goes for the cover, 1…2… Hawkins kicks out. Edge looks in shock and then the rage sets in. Edge stalks Hawkins from the other corner for another Spear. Edge goes for it but Hawkins reverses it by flapjacking Edge into the corner. Hawkins hits Edge with a knee lift and follows up with a spinebuster. Hawkins gets fired up and it looks like he’s going to try to end it. Hawkins lifts Edge up and sets up for the Hangman’s Facebuster, but Edge reverses it before Hawkins can pull the whole move off. Edge then kicks Hawkins in the gut and hits Hawkins with the Edgecution. Edge goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Edge wins. Winner: Edge
Justin: Here is your winner, Edge
Grisham: Hawkins put up quite a fight, probably more of a fight than Edge thought, but it just wasn’t enough to beat the World Champion. JR: Hawkins has nothing to be ashamed of. Win or lose, he showed everyone that he is a threat in this company. After a bit more experience he will be a top contender on Smackdown. I see promise in this young superstar. Grisham: Still to come, we have our main event for the evening. It will be Chris Jericho verses Jeff Hardy in our final qualifying match. Don’t go anywhere, we’ll be right back.
“You Don’t Belong” by Daughtry is playing in the background JR: Welcome back to Smackdown. We’d like to thank Daughtry for the song “You Don’t Belong” which is the official theme song for Unforgiven. Grisham: Well in less than three weeks, on September 13th, we will have our next pay-per-view Unforgiven. Thanks to the WWE Board of Directors, at this pay-per-view every brand will have a Scramble Match for its respective world title. JR: This is one of the most unique and unpredictable matches every in the WWE. Five men are in this match fighting for one prize, the World Heavyweight Championship. The way this match works is two men start off and one person enters every five minutes. At the end of the time limit, the person with the last fall will be the champion. Grisham: And for Smackdown we already have four of the five participants announced for the Scramble Match. So far we have the Shaman of Sexy John Morrison, the Samoan Bulldozer Umaga, Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk, and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. JR: We will find out the fifth and final competitor up next in our main event. Will it be Chris Jericho or Jeff Hardy joining these men in the World Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven? We are about to find out.
Chris Jericho’s music hits and the crowd boos Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is the final qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. Making his way to the ring, from Manhasset, New York, weighing in at 226 pounds, Chris Jericho.
Grisham: Here comes the man that claims he is better than everyone in the world today at wrestling. JR: Jericho is a very gifted athlete, no doubt about that. And his accomplishments can’t go unrecognized, but sometimes he may be too cocky for his own good. Grisham: Well could his giant ego get in the way of him advancing to Unforgiven? We will find out when we return to Smackdown for our main event.
Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown. Chris Jericho is in the ring waiting for his opponent to get this main event underway.
Jeff Hardy’s music hits and the crowd cheers Justin: And his opponent, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.
JR: If anyone will give Jericho a run for his money it’s this man, the extreme enigma Jeff Hardy. Grisham: Jeff looks to pick up a big win here and hopefully capture the World Title once again at Unforgiven. JR: Jeff feels his first title reign was too short and wants to make up for that with a second title reign that could possibly start at Unforgiven. But first he needs to beat the cocky Chris Jericho. Grisham: Who’s going to Unforgiven? We’re about to find out.

Grisham: The World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven is officially set. Jeff Hardy joins John Morrison, Umaga, CM Punk, and champion Edge. JR: Will we see Jeff walking out victorious at Unforgiven like we are witnessing tonight? Grisham: I don’t know, but Jericho seems pretty upset in the ring right now. JR: Jericho wasn’t able to back up his words and was maybe too over-confident going into this match. Grisham: But it doesn’t matter because Jeff Hardy is going to Unforgiven in the title match and not Jericho. Thanks for joining us here on Smackdown. Goodnight!
