ECW 9/22/09

WWE Signature Video is shown

A recap video from last week’s ECW is shown. It starts off with Christian coming out in the beginning of the night talking about Unforgiven. As he’s talking, a clip from Unforgiven is shown of Christian hitting the Killswitch on Bourne, pinning him, and then holding the ECW Title as he’s announced the winner. Christian holds his ECW Championship up and says “Sunday came and past and yet I stand before you STILL ECW Champion!” Swagger then comes out and says winning the Scramble Match is no accomplishment and that he can beat everyone in that match one-on-one. Burchill then comes out and says that if it wasn’t for Swagger, he would be standing here ECW Champion and demands a title shot. Bourne comes out and defends Christian saying he deserved his win. Swagger makes fun of Bourne and Kozlov, and then Kozlov comes out. Swagger makes fun of Kozlov to his face and then Kozlov headbutts Swagger, starting up a brawl. Security breaks it up and Tiffany comes out to deliver Dreamer’s message that Bourne, Swagger, Burchill, and Kozlov will face off for the number one contedership to the ECW Title. Clips from the fatal four way main event are shown. We see Bourne hit the Air Bourne of Kozlov, then Swagger grabbing Bourne off the cover and hitting the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Burchill then hits the Twisted Sister on Swagger and pins him. The video ends with Burchill standing on the ropes pointing at Christian and signaling for the ECW Title, while Christian holds the ECW Title high.

ECW Opening Video is shown as “Don’t Question My Heart” by Saliva plays

Pyro goes off and the crowd goes wild

Mathews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to ECW. Josh Mathews here along side Matt Striker. And Matt, what a main event we have for tonight.

Striker: That’s right. It’s going to be The ECW Champion Christian going one-on-one with the Long Island pretty boy Zack Ryder. Last week, Zack asked our General Manager Tommy Dreamer for a chance at the ECW Title. Tommy Dreamer told Ryder to prove that he’s championship material by taking on the ECW Champion Christian.

Mathews: And speaking of last week, we saw Paul Burchill win a number one contenders match, which means at No Mercy it will be Christian verses Paul Burchill for the ECW Championship. What a match that’ll be.

Striker: But that’s in two weeks, so let’s get started with ECW here on Tuesday night.

Jack Swagger’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 263 pounds, The All American American, Jack Swagger.

Mathews: Last week Jack Swagger caused some problems in the beginning of the night. He claimed Burchill cost him the Scramble Match, that Bourne is a circus act, Kozlov is stupid, and that he should be ECW Champion, not Christian.

Striker: But that’s how Swagger is. He’s young, he’s cocky, and he’s athletically gifted. He might talk a big game, but the two time All American can back it up in the ring. That’s why he’s a former ECW Champion only a year into his career here.

Mathews: There’s no denying Swagger’s abilities. But he’s going to need to watch his mouth because it’s been getting him into trouble lately.

Finlay’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: And his opponent, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, weighing in at 233 pounds, Finlay.

Striker: Well here’s a man that won’t take a bit of Swagger’s trash talking. Finlay would knock Swagger out before he’d finish his sentence.

Mathews: Lately the Fighting Irishman hasn’t been doing so well here in the land of extreme. He’s been losing to the Hart Dynasty the last few weeks. Last week he was beat by David Hart Smith.

Striker: You don’t have to worry about Finlay. He’s going to bounce back soon enough. In fact, that could happen right now with a win over Jack Swagger.

Jack Swagger vs. Finlay
-The match is back and forth the whole time. Towards the end Swagger is in control. Swagger grabs Finlay and hits a sidewalk slam backbreaker on him. Swagger then gets down and mocks Finlay by doing push-ups. Swagger picks Finlay up and delivers a german suplex. The cover, 1...2...Finlay kicks out. Swagger argues with the referee and then turns his attention back to Finlay. Swagger grabs Finlay and sets up for the Gutwrench Powerbomb but Finlay gets out of Swagger's grip and clubs him in the back of the head with a forearm. Finlay then hits a clothesline on Swagger and then another as Swagger gets up. Finlay then lifts Swagger up and hits him with Rolling Hills. Finlay then runs off the ropes and nails Swagger with a seated drop on his chest. The cover, 1...2...Swagger kicks out. Finlay then lifts Swagger up and goes for the Celtic Cross but Swagger elbows his way out of it. Swagger then grabs Finlay and hits a belly to back suplex. Swagger positions Finlay by the corner. Swagger runs at the corner, jumps off the second rope, and goes for a body splash but Finlay puts his knees up. Swagger walks around holding his ribs as Finlay gets up and goes for a clothesline. Swagger ducks underneath, does a quick amateur wrestling type go-around, grabs Finlay around the waist and hits the Gutwrench Powerbomb. The cover, 1...2...3 Swagger wins.
Winner: Jack Swagger

Chimel: Here is your winner, Jack Swagger.

Mathews: A big win here for Jack Swagger. It seems like he’s trying to work his way back into the ECW Title picture.

Striker: Swagger knows that he’s not getting a shot at No Mercy. That belongs to Paul Burchill. So Swagger is building up his wins and momentum so that he can be first in line to take on the winner.

Mathews: That’s a very smart strategy by the All American American. Well still to come tonight is our huge non-titled main event. It’ll be the ECW Champion Christian taking on Zack Ryder. Don’t go anywhere. More ECW when we return here on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage a reporter is with Paul Burchill and Katie Lea

Reporter: I’m here with the number one contender to the ECW Championship, Paul Burchill. Paul, last week we saw you win a fatal four way match after pinning Jack Swagger to earn an ECW Title shot at the next pay per view No Mercy. What are your thoughts on this?

Burchill: I think it’s about time I got a shot at the ECW Championship. It’s been long overdue. Last week I proved how I am when I defeated three other men to earn my title shot at No Mercy. At the end, I saw my opportunity and struck when I hit Swagger with the Twisted Sister and pinned him, one….two…three. And now I get my one-on-one opportunity at Christian. You see, I’ve never had a one-on-one opportunity for the ECW Championship ever, so I’m going to make the most of this. At Unforgiven, I had Christian pinned if it wasn’t for Jack Swagger breaking up the pin. Christian knows that I can beat him. It’s in his head…I’m in his head. The Ripper will strike and the Ripper will conquer. Come No Mercy, I guarantee that I will walk out the new ECW Champion.

Just then, Jack Swagger walks into the scene tired and angry.

Swagger: Why are you interviewing him? Did you not just see me win my match moments ago? You stole my interview. But it’s not the first thing you’ve stolen from me. You caused me to have the ECW Title stolen from me at Unforgiven, and last week you stole the number one contendership from me.

Burchill: I didn’t steal anything from you. At Unforgiven you cost me the ECW Championship. You didn’t even have a chance for me to cost you. Last week, nothing was stolen. I earned my opportunity at the ECW Championship. And if I’m not mistaken, I believe I pinned you to earn that opportunity.

Swagger: You got lucky. Winning a fatal four way match or a Scramble Match is nothing to be proud of. It’s all luck and timing in those matches, not skill. Because if it was one-on-one, there us no doubt in my mind that I would be the number one contender and not you.

Burchill: Is that so? Well then, prove it. Next week, me and you one-on-one. What do you say?

Swagger: You’re on! You’re going to find out first hand why I’m the two time, two time All American.

Burchill: And you’re going to find out first hand why I’m the number one contender and you’re not.

Burchill and Swagger stare each other down

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a replay video is shown from ECW last week. It shows clips from the match Ezekiel Jackson’s match against DJ Gabriel. We see Jackson dominate and then end it with a huge Uranage on Gabriel for the win. It then shows Mark Henry and Tony Atlas on the titantron clapping for Jackson. We then see clips from David Hart Smith’s match against Finlay. It then shows the end where Natalya stole Finlay’s shillelagh, distracting the referee and Finlay. Kidd then gets on the apron and kicks Finlay in the side of the head. Smith lifts Finlay up and delivers a Running Powerslam for the win. The video ends with a split screen of Smith and Jackson standing victorious.

The Hart Dynasty’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, being accompanied by Tyson Kidd and Natalya, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 260 pounds, David Hart Smith.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW as we see the second generation superstar David Hart Smith making his way down to the ring along with fellow Hart Dynasty members, Tyson Kidd and Natalya.

Striker: Well up until last week on WWE Superstars, The Hart Dynasty has been on a roll as of late. They have picked up multiple singles victories until Tyson Kidd met his match last week on Thursday when he was defeated by the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry.

Mathews: Kidd put in a great effort, but he was just over-powered there. Smith looks to get the Hart Dynasty up and rolling again with a win here tonight, but that won’t be an easy task considering his opponent.

Ezekiel Jackson’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: And his opponent, from Harlem, New York, weighing in at 305 pounds, Ezekiel Jackson.

Mathews: And here he is. Ezekiel Jackson, undefeated here on ECW.

Striker: Jackson is such a huge man. Look at him. Over three hundred pounds of pure strength and power. He’s just been bulldozing his way through his competition since he’s come to ECW.

Mathews: David Hart Smith is his toughest test to date. Can Smith stop the dominating Ezekiel Jackson?

Just then, Mark Henry’s music plays and the crowd cheers. Mark Henry and Tony Atlas make their way down to the ring.

Mathews: The World’s Strongest Man? What’s he doing out here?

Henry and Atlas stand in Jackson’s corner.

Striker: Lately we’ve seen Mark Henry and Tony Atlas interact with Ezekiel Jackson. They talked to him backstage and last week they stood on the titantron clapping for Big Zeke.

Mathews: Maybe we’ll get some answers tonight about this situation.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. David Hart Smith
-Jackson takes control from the beginning using his strength, but Smith gets some offense in during the match. Towards the end, Jackson is in control. Jackson punches away at Smith with hard strikes and then tosses him into the corner. Jackson runs at Smith in the corner but Smith moves, making Jackson hitting into the corner. Smith hits a back suplex on Jackson and goes for the cover, 1...2...Jackson kicks out. Smith stomps on Jackson. Smith grabs Jackson's arm and goes for an arm bar but Jackson prevents it using his strength. Smith gives up on the arm bar, stomps on Jackson's head and goes for a sleeper hold. Jackson gets up and backs Smith right into the corner to break the hold. Smith stumbles out of the corner and Jackson connects with a huge clothesline. Natalya then gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Kidd gets on the apron where the referee can't see him and goes to kick Jackson but Jackson blocks the kick. Henry then grabs Kidd's leg and pulls him off the apron. Jackson turns around into Smith kicking him in the gut. Smith lifts Jackson up for the Running Powerslam, but Jackson slides right off, turns Smith around, and hits him with the Uranage. The cover, 1...2...3.
Winner: Ezekiel Jackson

Chimel: Here is your winner, Ezekiel Jackson.

Mathews: And yet another win for Ezekiel Jackson.

Striker: Smith put up a great fight. He gave Big Zeke a run for his money, but in the end, Jackson was just too powerful for Smith to handle.

Mark Henry and Tony Atlas get in the ring. Henry has a microphone.

Henry: Recently, a new force has come to ECW and shown his dominance. We’ve been watching Ezekiel Jackson since his first match here on ECW and we knew that he was going to be someone big in this company. So the three of us have talked for the last two weeks and we’ve made a deal. Tony Atlas and I have officially aligned with Ezekiel Jackson. So ECW, WWE, you better watch out because total domination is coming your way.

Mathews: Wow. What an announcement. Now we know why Mar Henry and Tony Atlas have been interacting with Ezekiel Jackson.

Striker: Look at the power of this team. Who’s going to be able to stop them? This may really be total domination.

Mathews: Well still to come tonight, our main event. It’s the ECW Champion Christian taking on Zack Ryder in what could be the biggest match of Ryder’s career thus far. Stay tuned for more ECW here on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

A graphic showing Burchill verses Swagger for next week is on the screen as “Don’t Question My Heart” by Saliva plays in the background.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW. We heard the challenge earlier tonight and the match has been made official for next week here on ECW. It will be “The Ripper” Paul Burchill verses “The All American American” Jack Swagger.

Striker: That’s going to be a great match that’s going to settle a big dispute between these two men. Who is the better man? Swagger says he can beat everyone on ECW in a one-on-one match. Here is his chance to prove it. Will The Ripper gain momentum towards his ECW Title shot at No Mercy or will Swagger show Burchill why he’s a two time All American? That’s next week here on ECW on SyFy.

“Scream” by Adelitas Way plays in the background as the album cover is shown on the screen.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW and we’d like to thank Adelitas Way for the No Mercy theme song “Scream” off their self-titled debut album, available now. And Matt, at No Mercy we have a huge ECW Title match in stored.

Striker: That’s right Josh. As we found last week, it’ll be the ECW Champion Christian putting his title on the line against the number one contender Paul Burchill. Last week, Paul Burchill was able to win a fatal four way match to earn this title shot. This is The Ripper’s first one-on-one match for the ECW Title. Can he take advantage of that and win the ECW Title?

Mathews: At Unforgiven, Burchill was so close to pinning Christian and walking out as the ECW Champion. That has to be in the back of the mind of the champion heading into this match-up. Can Burchill win his first ECW Title or will Christian show Burchill why he’s the ECW Champion and Burchill’s not?

Backstage a reporter is with Zack Ryder

Reporter: I’m here with Zack Ryder. Now Zack, in just a few moments you are going into what is being considered one of the biggest matches of your career so far. What are your thoughts going into this match with the ECW Champion Christian?

Ryder: Recently, I’ve been overlooked here on ECW. Last week, I wasn’t even considered to be apart of the number one contenders match. Bro, I’m Zack Ryder, the all around greatest superstar on this show. I have more charisma, I’m better looking, and I’m more athletic than anyone on this show. I’m the total package. In my home of Long Island, I’m like a legend. All the girls love me and all the men wish they could be like me. Tonight, I face the ECW Champion Christian. Is he really that good? I mean he’s from Canada after all. Everyone knows that Long Island is the better than every other place in the world, especially that United States wannabe Canada. That alone should be enough for people to know that I’m better than Christian. But people like our General Manager Tommy Dreamer seem to think I need to prove myself if I want an ECW Title shot. So after I beat Christian in this non-titled match here tonight, I guarantee that I will never be overlooked for an ECW Title match again. Not only that, but I should be next in line for a shot at the ECW Title. You’re looking at the future of not just ECW, but of this business. Tonight, I show everyone just how great Zack Ryder is. Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!

Mathews: It’s Zack Ryder verses the ECW Champion Christian next here on ECW.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Zack Ryder’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 214 pounds, Zack Ryder.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW and it’s time for our main event. And here comes the Long Island pretty boy Zack Ryder, who’s one purpose tonight is to show people that he’s the real deal and deserves a shot at the ECW Title.

Striker: Zack Ryder looks intense here tonight. No fun and games tonight for him. This is all about marking his spot here on ECW and proving he’s going to be the future of this company.

Mathews: Well a win over the ECW Champion here tonight will do that. In fact, a win here could actually place Ryder next in line for the ECW Title.

Christian’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: And his opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 235 pounds, he is the ECW Champion, Christian.

Striker: But first, Ryder must go through this man, the ECW Champion Christian. That is not going to be an easy task for the young Zack Ryder.

Mathews: Christian is ECW Champion for a reason. He won that title earlier in the year from then champion Jack Swagger and hasn’t dropped it since. Christian was even able to walk out of the Scramble Match at Unforgiven with his title.

Striker: Christian has been battle tested over the years and through his run as ECW Champion. But tonight and No Mercy his opponents have something in common. They both are hungry, young competitors who are looking to prove themselves and are willing to do anything to get to that ECW Championship.

Christian vs. Zack Ryder
-The match is a back and forth contest. Towards the end Ryder has control. Ryder punches Christian. Backing him up into the corner. Ryder continues to punch Christian until he is seated in the corner. Ryder measures up and kicks Christian in the face. Ryder pulls Christian away from the ropes and goes for the cover, 1...2...Christian kicks out. Ryder starts to stomp on Christian as Christian keeps trying to get back to his feet. Christian catches Ryder's foot and pushes him off of him. Ryder comes back off the ropes with a knee to the head of Christian. The cover, 1...2...Christian kicks out. Ryder tosses Christian into the corner and runs at him. Christian goes in between the ropes to avoid Ryder and kicks him in the face. Christian goes to the top rope and waits for Ryder to get up. Christian goes for a missile dropkick but Ryder moves out of the way. Ryder stalks Christian and hits him with his Jumping Leg Lariat. The cover, 1...2...Christian kicks out. Ryder lifts Christian back to his feet and sets up for the Zack Attack but Christian reverses it right into a reverse DDT drop. The cover, 1...2...Ryder kicks out. Christian tosses Ryder towards the corner and runs after him. Ryder leaps over Christian but Christian hops on the second rope, kicks Ryder in the gut and does a springboard sunset flip. The cover, 1...2...Ryder kicks out. Christian stalks Ryder and sets up for the Killswitch but Ryder pushes him off and into the referee, which takes the referee out. Ryder grabs Christian quickly and tried for the Zack Attack but Christian reverses it and goes right into the Killswitch. Christian goes for the cover but the referee is still out. Christian tries to revive the referee but he has no luck. Just then Katie Lea comes down and is on the apron by the corner yelling at Christian. Christian goes over to the ropes and tries to grab Katie Lea but she jumps down from the apron before he can. Paul Burchill is then on the apron right to the side of Christian but Christian doesn't see him. Burchill grabs Christian and hits the Twisted Sister on the ropes on Christian. Christian stumbles after the move on the ropes and Ryder grabs him. Ryder connects with the Zack Attack as Katie Lea revives the referee. The cover, 1...2...3 Ryder wins.
Winner: Zack Ryder

Chimel: Here is your winner, Zack Ryder.

Mathews: Oh my god! Zack Ryder has just pinned the ECW Champion.

Striker: The shocker of the year has just happened. Zack Ryder has just proved all of the doubters wrong.

Mathews: Well you have to give a major assist to Paul Burchill. Christian had Zack Ryder down and out for the count but the referee wasn’t up to make the count. Then Paul Burchill comes out and attacks Christian, allowing Ryder to take advantage and pick up the victory.

Striker: The referee was out when Christian had the pin. We’ve seen tons of matches where that has happened so you can’t say anything about that. And the referee didn’t see Paul Burchill interfere so it doesn’t matter. Yes it’s wrong and maybe it cost Christian the match, but whose to say Ryder wouldn’t have won anyway?

Mathews: Whether the referee saw it or not, it was still cheap. But it doesn’t matter because in the record books this will go down as a win for Zack Ryder. And I don’t want to sell Ryder short. He had a tremendous match and yes he might have still won even if Burchill didn’t interfere.

Striker: Ryder showed tonight that he is the real deal. And with this win over the ECW Champion, a title shot could be in his future. No doubt we just witnessed the biggest win in Zack Ryder’s career so far.

Zack Ryder is doing the L.I. taunt on the ropes screaming “Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!” Paul Burchill is walking backwards up the ramp with his sister Katie Lea as they look back at the ring and see a fallen, angry Christian look at them and yelling at them.

Mathews: Ryder picks up the win and more tension builds up between the No Mercy opponents. Who will win in less than two weeks with the ECW Championship on the line? Will Christian retain his title or will Burchill win his first championship? But before that, next week Paul Burchill must go through “The All American American” Jack Swagger in our main event. Thank you for joining us here on SyFy for ECW. Goodnight.

WWE Superstars 9/24/09

WWE Signature Video is shown

WWE Superstars Opening Video is shown as “Invincible” by Adelitas Way plays

The crowd goes wild

Mathews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to WWE Superstars here on WGN America. What a night we have in stored for tonight.

Striker: That’s right. Tonight’s main event comes to us from Raw. It’s a five man match to determine the number one contender for the United States Championship. Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Big Show, The Brian Kendrick, and Chavo Guerrero will battle it out for a chance to face MVP at No Mercy for the title.

Mathews: That’s later on tonight and what a match that’ll be. But right now, let’s get things started with a match from ECW.

Evan Bourne’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Striker: Here comes the ever exciting Evan “Air” Bourne. If you’ve never seen him before, get ready to be amazed.

Mathews: Last week we saw Evan Bourne come out on ECW to defend his friend Christian about winning the Scramble Match. He’s a class act and a tremendous wrestler.

Striker: Bourne may not be the biggest guy, but he makes up for it with his quickness, which is what he’s going to have to use to his advantage tonight.

Vladimir Kozlov’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: And his opponent, from Moscow, weighing in at 302 pounds, Vladimir Kozlov.

Mathews: Well like you said Matt, Bourne is going to have to use his quickness if he wants to have a chance against this man, the Moscow Mauler, Vladimir Kozlov.

Striker: We saw at Unforgiven Evan Bourne and Vladimir Kozlov were on the outside. Kozlov was ready to deliver a massive headbutt to Bourne but Bourne was able to move out of the way and Kozlov rammed his head into the steel steps.

Mathews: That took Kozlov out for the rest of the match. If Bourne wants a chance here tonight, he’s going to have to do things like that.

Evan Bourne vs. Vladimir Kozlov
-Kozlov has control for the beginning portion of the match using his strength advantage over Bourne. Bourne ends up getting some offense using his quickness. Towards the end Kozlov is in control. Kozlov grabs Bourne and delivers a belly to belly suplex that sends Bourne almost across the ring. The cover, 1...2...Bourne kicks out. Kozlov lifts Bourne up and tosses him off the ropes. Kozlov bends down for a back body drop but Bourne stops and kicks Kozlov in the head. Kozlov tries to punch Bourne but Bourne ducks and kicks Kozlov in the leg. Bourne runs off the ropes and dropkicks Kozlov's leg, taking the big man down. The cover, 1...2...Kozlov kicks out. Bourne runs off the ropes at Kozlov but comes back into a huge straight kick to the chest by Kozlov which sends Bourne flying to the corner. Kozlov goes after Bourne but Bourne drop toes holds Kozlov into the turnbuckle. Kozlov stumbles out of the corner as Bourne gets up. Bourne goes for a springboard spinning wheel kick but Kozlov catches Bourne. Kozlov goes to throw Bourne overhead to the outside but Bourne lands on the apron. Kozlov turns around into a kick to the face and then a hurricanrana to the outside by Bourne. Bourne measures up Kozlov on the outside and goes for a springboard moonsault but Kozlov catches Bourne on his shoulder. Kozlov goes to ram Bourne into the corner pole but Bourne slips off and dropkicks Kozlov head first into the pole. Bourne then jumps off the apron and knees Kozlov right in the face which sends him stumbling backwards. Bourne goes up on the apron again, jumps off and connects with the flying double knees to Kozlov which sends him to the ground. Bourne gets up and notices the ring-out count is at 9. Bourne rushes into the ring. The referee counts 10 and Kozlov is counted out making Bourne the winner.
Winner: Evan Bourne (via Count Out)

Chimel: Here is your winner by count out, Evan Bourne.

Striker: A count out victory but a win nonetheless. A huge win for Evan Bourne.

Mathews: Evan Bourne used his quickness to win this match. Bourne was able to get Kozlov to the outside and avoid his attacks. Bourne struck with a series of attacks on Kozlov that finally took the big man down. Bourne then realized the referee’s count was up to nine and rushed into the ring to get the victory.

Striker: A smart move by Bourne. Get the win anyway you can over Kozlov. But look at Kozlov. He does not look happy. Something tells me this is far from over.

Mathews: I think so. Still to come tonight is our main event from Raw. It’s a five man match to determine the number one contender to the United States Title. Stayed tuned for more WWE Superstars here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Curt Hawkins’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 221 pounds, Curt Hawkins.

Grisham: Welcome back to WWE Superstars and it’s time for the Smackdown portion of the show as Curt Hawkins makes his way down to the ring.

JR: Last month, Curt Hawkins asked General Manager Theodore Long for an opportunity to show him what he’s got. Hawkins faced his former mentor Edge and even though he lost, Hawkins looked impressive against the World Heavyweight Champion. And after a victory over Charlie Haas two weeks ago on Smackdown, let’s see if Hawkins can keep this rolling.

Grisham: Don’t forget that Curt Hawkins is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, and not to mention him and Ryder were the youngest WWE Tag Team Champions in history. Now Hawkins is working on his singles career and so far he’s doing a great job.

Mike Knox’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: And his opponent, from Phoenix, Arizona, weighing in at 293 pounds, Mike Knox.

Grisham: And here comes his opponent, the monstrous Mike Knox. Knox is another up-in-comer who’s looking to make a name for himself.

JR: Hawkins is going to need to watch out here and try to negate the power game of Mike Knox. We’ve seen how dominating and powerful Mike Knox has been in the past, taking out opponents left and right.

Grisham: Let’s see how Curt Hawkins fairs against the power game of Mike Knox. Will Hawkins keep his momentum rolling or will Knox put it to a screeching hault?

Curt Hawkins vs. Mike Knox
-The match is a back and froth contest the whole time. Towards the end Knox is in control. Knox grabs Hawkins and pulls him in for a massive clothesline. Knox then delivers a scoop slam to Hawkins. Knox goes for an elbow drop but Hawkins moves and backs into the corner. Knox runs at the corner and goes for a body splash on Hawkins but Hawkins moves making Knox splash into the corner. Knox stumbles out of the corner as Hawkins springboards out of the corner with a crossbody on Knox. The cover, 1...2...Knox kicks out. Hawkins stomps and punches Knox as he gets to his feet. Hawkins dropkicks Knox, sending him off the ropes. Knox comes back off the ropes with a lot of momentum and hits a huge crossbody splash on Hawkins. The cover, 1...2...Hawkins kicks out. Knox lifts Hawkins and sets up for the Knox Out but Hawkins reverses it and hits Knox with a swinging neckbreaker. The cover, 1...2...Knox kicks out. Hawkins goes off the ropes at Knox. Knox tries to hit Hawkins with a bicycle kick but Hawkins slides under the kick as he gets to Knox. Knox turns around right into a small package by Hawkins. The cover, 1...2...3 Hawkins wins.
Winner: Curt Hawkins

Justin: Here is your winner, Curt Hawkins.

Grisham: What a win by Curt Hawkins. Hawkins caught Knox off-guard with that small package and it paid off. He continues on with not just another impressive match-up, but another win.

JR: Hawkins has improved lately and will continue to improve as time goes on. This young superstar is going to be big in the future if he continues on this path. Mark my words.

Grisham: Hawkins certainly made the most of his opportunities over the last month. Good for him and let’s see where he goes in the future. Well still to come is the five man match from Raw to determine the number one contender for the United States Title at No Mercy. That’s our main event for tonight. More WWE Superstars when we return here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see a reporter with the Colons.

Reporter: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome my guests at this time, Carlito and Primo, the Colons. Now guys, you asked for this time to announce something important. What’s your announcement?

Primo: First off, we wanted to address last week on Raw. We have to admit, Priceless got the best of us and won our Tag Team Titles fairly. But we’re not going to let one off night set us back. We’re going to get back into things and win our titles back. Our announcement is that next week on Raw we will be cashing in our rematch clause, which means that the Tag Team Titles are up for grabs again next week, and this time things will be different.

Carlito: We’ve listened to Priceless ramble on for the past two weeks about how they’re the greatest tag team in the WWE today. They said that they can beat any tag team that challenges them and that no one stands in their way. Rhodes, DiBiase, next week you’re going to run into a road block, because we’re going to walk out with our Tag Team Championships. And the downfall of Priceless will begin there because Triple H and his partner will beat you at No Mercy next Sunday at No Mercy. We were the first ever Unified Tag Team Champions for a reason. And that reason will be clear next Monday in our title rematch.

The Colons start to walk away when they run into the Hart Dynasty.

Smith: Do you two really think you’re going to win next week? It’s a waste of your time. You were beat for a reason and that reason is because you guys just aren’t that good. You got lucky at WrestleMania this year winning the Unified Tag Team Titles. You faced a team that’s not even together anymore. How much does that say for you guys?

Kidd: And how many times did you even defend those titles? I forgot you two had them. But if you happen to win next week on Raw, don’t get too attached to those titles, because we’ll come and take them away from you. The Hart Foundation was the greatest team of their time. The Hart Dynasty carries on the great Hart name and it’s evident that we’re the greatest tag team in wrestling today. Soon enough, you two and everyone else will find that out first hand.

The two teams stare each other down and then walk away.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a video is shown from Raw. It shows MVP hitting Big Show with the United States Title and Kofi picking up the victory over Big Show after Trouble In Paradise. It then shows the brawl between MVP, Kofi, Big Show, Miz, Chavo, and Kendrick. Big Show stands tall as the other five men lye fallen on the ground. It then shows Big Show talking to Vickie backstage about a shot at MVP and the United States Title. Vickie announces that to be fair there will be a five man match held on WWE Superstars this week to determine who will face MVP for the title at No Mercy.

Lilian: The following contest is a five man match scheduled for one fall, where the winner will go onto No Mercy for a shot at the United States Championship.

The Miz’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: Introducing first, from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 231 pounds, The Miz.

Cole: Welcome back to WWE Superstars and it’s time for our main event, brought to you from Raw. A five man match to determine who will face MVP for the United States Title at No Mercy.

King: And here’s the man who has been saying for weeks about how he should be the United States Champion and how he can beat everyone in the division.

Cole: Miz is very cocky and arrogant, but he has been impressive lately. It’s time for The Miz to back up his words with a victory here tonight and then at No Mercy when he faces MVP. Can the former reality star do it?

The Brian Kendrick’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: From Venice, California, weighing in at 184 pounds, The Brian Kendrick.

King: Speaking of cocky and arrogant, here comes The Brian Kendrick.

Cole: Lately, it seems like Kendrick and Miz have been on the same page, but when it comes to a shot at the United States Championship, there’s nothing that either of these two men wouldn’t do.

King: Kendrick a former Tag Team Champion looking to win his first major singles title here in the WWE. A win here would be huge for Kendrick and draw him closer to his goal of being United States Champion.

Chavo Guerrero’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: From El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 215 pounds, Chavo Guerrero.

Cole: Well here’s someone who’s shown some change and progress recently. Chavo’s career wasn’t exactly in the spot he wanted it to be. But now over the past few weeks, Chavo has that fire in him and is now in the United States Title hunt.

King: I think that his match with Randy Orton a month ago help Chavo realize where he was at with his career. That match made Chavo realize that he needs to get back into things now.

Cole: The former ECW Champion looks to have that Guerrero family energy and determination in him. Let’s see if that will help him out tonight.

Big Show’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: From Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 485 pounds, the Big Show.

King: Well determination and heritage may not help you against this man, the World’s Largest Athlete, the Big Show.

Cole: Last week on Raw, Big Show was on the V.I.P. Lounge with MVP and was left in the middle of the ring fallen thanks to the United States Champion. Big Show said this week that MVP doesn’t deserve to be United States Champion and that he’s going to take that title away from him to bring some dignity and honor to it.

King: With a win here he’ll get that chance to do so. How is Big Show going to be stopped? We saw how he was the last man standing on Raw, so let’s see what happens here tonight.

Kofi Kingston’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And from Jamaica, weighing in at 218 pounds, Kofi Kingston.

Cole: But don’t forget King, this man pinned the Big Show on Raw this week. Kofi has momentum going into this match.

King: Even though MVP interfered to help Kofi get the win, a victory over the Big Show is still huge. The athleticism of the Jamaican Superstar is just simply amazing.

Cole: Will Kofi pin the Big Show again here tonight? How huge would that be? Which one of these five men will be the number one contender for the United States Championship? Let’s find out.

#1 Contendership for U.S. Title at No Mercy
Chavo Guerrero vs. The Brian Kendrick vs. Big Show vs. The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston

-The match starts off with everyone going after Big Show. The match progresses with everyone getting control at a point. Towards the end Big Show starts dominating and takes complete control. Big Show delivers multiple slaps to the chests of all four men and tosses them around easily. Big Show goes for a Chokeslam on Miz. Kendrick runs over to help Miz but Big Show then grabs him too. Miz and Kendrick repeatedly kick Big Show in the gut to get out of his grip. Kofi and Chavo then join up and all four men are attacking Big Show again. They are able to get him over the top rope and to the floor. Miz attacks Kofi as Chavo and Kendrick go at it. Miz tosses Kofi in the corner and does his patented corner clothesline. Miz then grabs Kofi as he's kneeling and does a snap DDT, planting Kofi. Chavo had just hit a Tornado DDT on Kendrick. Chavo then runs over to Miz and dropkicks him to the outside. Chavo then goes back to Kendrick and picks him up. Chavo goes for the Three Amigos on Kendrick. Kendrick reverses the third suplex, grabs Chavo, and hits The Kendrick on him. Miz then comes back in the ring and grabs Kendrick from behind. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Kendrick. Miz then sees Kofi getting back up. Miz measures Kofi up and goes for the Reality Check but Kofi moves out of the way. Miz turns around right into Trouble In Paradise. Big Show then gets back into the ring just as Kofi goes for the cover, 1...2...Big Show breaks it up. Kofi starts punching and kicking Big Show as much as he can to create separation. Kofi then dropkicks Big Show which dazes him a bit. Kofi goes for Trouble In Paradise but Big Show blocks the kick and delivers a Knockout Punch right to Kofi. The cover, 1...2...3 Big Show wins.
Winner: Big Show

Lilian: Here is your winner, the Big Show.

Cole: A big win for the Big Show. Kofi was so close to beating Big Show for the second time this week, but the strength of Big Show was too much for Kofi to handle.

King: That Knockout Punch sealed the deal for the World’s Largest Athlete. No one gets up from that and with everyone else down, it was clearly over. This title division may just get dominated by the Big Show.

Cole: And now we know that at No Mercy in less than two weeks it’ll be the Big Show challenging MVP for the United States Championship. Will Big Show accomplish his goal and take the title away from MVP? We’ll have to find out at No Mercy. Thank you for joining us here tonight on WGN America for WWE Superstars. Goodnight.

Smackdown Preview:

Last week on Smackdown, Theodore Long had a huge announcement concerning the World Title match at No Mercy. Long announced in the beginning of the night that there were going to be two battle royals and the winners would face off in the main event for the number one contendership. When we got to the main event, it was Rey Mysterio verses Chris Jericho. After an amazing match, Rey Mysterio was able to pick up the victory. Now the Master of the 619 will go on to face Edge at No Mercy for the World Heavyweight Championship. But first, this week Rey will take on literally his biggest challenge yet when he faces Edge’s body guard The Great Khali. How will the new number one contender fair against the Punjabi Giant?

Theodore Long wasn’t the only one with an announcement last week. Edge and Chris Jericho came out and announced that they were joining forces to take over Smackdown and to lead “The Revolution” against Theodore Long. Even though Jericho lost last week, it was not without having the last laugh. At the end of the night, Jericho, Edge, & Khali left Undertaker, Kane, and Mysterio lying in the ring motionless. This week, we will see if The Revolution is the real deal when Edge & Jericho take on Undertaker and Kane in the main event. Will the Brothers of Destruction put a stop to The Revolution early or will Edge & Jericho continue down their path of taking over Smackdown?

Along with those matches, Theodore Long has yet another huge announcement concerning No Mercy. Since the World Title match is set, what could this announcement be? Tune into Smackdown to find out this and much more.

Smackdown 9/25/09

WWE Signature Video shown

Recap video is shown from Smackdown last week. The video starts off with Theodore Long’s announcement saying “Tonight on Smackdown, we will determine the #1 contender for Edge's World Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy. We will start off the night with two over the top rope battle royals with five participants in each. The winners of the two battle royals will go on to face each other later tonight in our main event. The winner of that match will become the official #1 contender and go onto No Mercy to compete for the World Heavyweight Championship.” We see Edge clapping in the background. Edge says to Long “‘we’ have an announcement of our own.” The camera zooms out and we see Jericho behind Long and says “‘WE’ have an announcement to make in the ring now. Why don't you watch and listen because I think it might be something you'll be interested in.” We then see Edge & Jericho in the ring with their announcement. We here Edge say “Our General Manager Theodore Long. He hates me as the World Champion, which is why I was forced into a Scramble Match for my title.” Jericho then says “Theodore Long tries to justify his actions by saying that I bring everything upon myself with either my words or my actions. Theodore Long is supposed to be an unbiased General Manager. Well, we have a plan.” Edge says “This is the start of the Smackdown takeover. This is the start of the Revolution!” Clips from the two battle royals are then shown. In the first battle royal we see the ending where Undertaker eliminates Khali but then Jericho sneaks up behind him and eliminates Undertaker to win. In the second battle royal we see Jericho distract Kane to get him eliminated and then Rey reversing Shelton’s powerbomb into a hurricanrana to eliminate him and win. The video then shows clips from the main event between Jericho and Mysterio. Jericho gets a chair as the referee is down but Kane comes out. Jericho hits Kane with the chair but turns into Rey dropkicking the chair into his face. Rey follows up with a 619, a springboard body splash and then the pin to get the win. Jericho then hits Rey with the chair as he celebrates. Kane grabs Jericho for a Chokeslam but Khali comes out and stops him. Undertaker comes out and attacks Jericho and Khali. Edge then comes out and Spears Undertaker. Khali delivers the Punjabi Plunge to Kane and Jericho delivers the Codebreaker to Undertaker. Jericho and Khali start to leave but Edge stays as Mysterio slowly gets up. Edge stalks Mysterio and delivers a devastating Spear. The video ends with Edge, Jericho, and Khali on the ramp raising their arms in victory.

Smackdown Opening Video is shown

Pyro goes off and the crowd goes wild

Grisham: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Friday Night Smackdown. Todd Grisham here along side WWE Hall of Famer “Good Old JR” Jim Ross. And JR, what a night we have in stored for tonight.

JR: That’s right Todd. Some great matches for you tonight, including our huge main event tag team match. We will see the Brothers of Destruction reunite tonight to take on the leaders of the new group known as The Revolution. It’s Kane and The Undertaker verses Chris Jericho and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge.

Grisham: That match was made after what happened last week at the end of Smackdown, where all hell broke loose. The Revolution was able to get the better of Kane and Undertaker, but will that be the case tonight?

JR: Also for the second week in a row, General Manager Theodore Long has an announcement concerning No Mercy. What will this week’s announcement be? We’ll find out later.

Rey Mysterio’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 175 pounds, Rey Mysterio.

Grisham: What a way to kick off Smackdown. The new number one contender to the World Title will be in action.

JR: Last week on Smackdown, Rey Mysterio set a whole new set of goals for himself since losing the Intercontinental Title. His goals were to win the battle royal, win the number one contenders match, and then win back the World Title at No Mercy. Last week Mysterio completed two of his goals when he won the second battle royal and defeated Chris Jericho to become the number one contender.

Grisham: Rey has done everything he’s said he was going to do this year. He brought honor back to the Intercontinental Championship. He kept his mask. Recently he beat respect into Shelton Benjamin. Now he’s become the number one contender. Can he win the World Title to complete his goals?

The Great Khali’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: And his opponent, being accompanied by Ranjin Singh, from India, weighing in at 420 pounds, The Great Khali.

JR: Well here’s a man who can stand in his way of that goal. The Great Khali not only apart of The Revolution but also the World Champion’s personal body guard.

Grisham: We saw how Khali can help Edge retain that title at Unforgiven when Khali prevented Morrison from hitting Starship Pain and setup a Spear by Edge. We don’t know if Edge wouldn’t have won anyway, but it definitely helped Edge win and prevented Morrison from winning.

JR: Earlier we talked about how tonight’s main event was the fallout from last week. Well so is this match. We saw Rey was attack by The Revolution and then taken out with a devastating Spear by Edge to end the night. With the evident size advantage, I’m sure Edge is banking on Khali softening up Rey for No Mercy.

Rey Mysterio vs. The Great Khali
-The match is mostly controlled by Khali with Rey getting a few shots in with his quickness. Towards the end Khali is in control. Khali takes Rey and tosses him into a corner. Khali goes over and slaps Rey right in the chest with an open palm. As Rey stumbles out of the corner holding his chest, Khali delivers a chop to Rey's head. The cover, 1...2...Rey kicks out. Khali tosses Rey off the ropes and goes for a spin kick but Rey ducks. Rey springboards off the ropes and hits Khali with a dropkick. Rey goes up to Khali and starts kicking away at his legs. Rey then dropkicks Khali's left leg which brings him to a knee. Rey kicks Khali in the side of the head which brings Khali down. The cover, 1...2...Khali kicks out forcefully. Rey kicks Khali down as he tries to get up and then hits a standing moonsault. The cover, 1...2...Khali kicks out. Rey goes for another kick to Khali's head as he gets up but Khali catches his foot and tosses him. Khali gets up and grabs Rey by the throat with both hands. Khali lifts Rey up for the Punjabi Plunge but Rey starts kicking away at Khali, causing Khali to drop him. Khali starts to run towards Rey, but Rey catches Khali with a drop toe hold which lands Khali on the second rope. Rey goes off the ropes and hits the 619 on Khali. Rey sets up and springboards onto Khali but Khali catches Rey in the air. Khali then walks with Rey over to the ropes and dumps him on the outside. Khali then follows to the outside. Khali just toys with Rey as he keeps stomping Rey down as he tries to get up. Khali lifts Rey up and tosses him onto the barricade. Khali lifts Rey up by the barricade and slaps him in the chest. At this point the referee's count is at 7. Khali lifts Rey up slowly, looks at one of the corner poles and tosses him at it, but Rey is able to jump up grabbing onto the pole and swing himself back into the ring, almost like a 619. The referee is at the count of 9 and Khali just realized this. Khali tries to get into the ring but he doesn't make the 10 count, meaning Rey wins by count out.
Winner: Rey Mysterio (via Count Out)

Justin: Here is your winner by count out, Rey Mysterio.

Grisham: Mysterio picks up a huge win over the massive Khali.

JR: A win is a win. Rey saw that he was about to be counted out so he got in the ring and let Khali get counted out instead.

Mysterio sees Khali getting up on the apron and into the ring enraged by the result of the match. Mysterio runs out of the ring and walks up the ramp, escaping Khali.

Grisham: Look at Khali. He does not like that result.

JR: Rey was smart by getting out of there. Rey needs to make sure he’s one hundred percent for No Mercy if he wants to win that World Title against Edge.

Grisham: Let’s hope he doesn’t come face to face with Khali anytime soon then, because Khali is angry and if he gets his hands on Rey, he might not make it to No Mercy.

JR: Well not a good start for The Revolution, but let’s see if they will pick things up tonight in our main event, when Jericho and Edge take on the Kane and the Undertaker. Stay tuned for more Friday Night Smackdown here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin knocking on the door to Theodore Long’s office. Shelton’s waiting there for a bit until Theodore Long finally comes to the door.

Long: Shelton Benjamin. What can I do for you playa?

Shelton: Well Teddy, as you know I’m the Intercontinental Champion. I beat Rey Mysterio at Unforgiven, who’s a former World Champion and not to mention the current number one contender. I’m a multi time Tag Team and Intercontinental Champion. I’ve beaten some of the best talent the WWE has to offer. And I’m referred to all the time as the greatest pure athlete in the WWE today.

Long: I would have to agree with that statement Shelton and you sure have had an impressive career, but what exactly do you want me to do?

Shelton: I want to move on up in the rankings. I want my shot at the spotlight. My shot at being a World Champion. You agree that I’m impressive, but I just need my opportunity. Do you think we could talk about this more in your office?

Long: Shelton, I would love to help you and talk to you about this, but right now isn’t a good time. I’ve been really busy lately and I need to get ready for my big announcement concerning No Mercy. I’m sorry, but I think you’ll like my announcement. I’ll talk to you another time about this, but don’t worry Shelton. Your career is going down a great path right now. I have no doubt you’ll be a future star one day. Kepp it up playa.

Shelton: Thanks Teddy and it’s no problem. I’ll talk to you some other time.

Shelton and Long shake hands and then Long shuts the door. Shelton turns around to walk away but stops when he sees Edge and Jericho standing there.

Edge: Wow, did you here that Chris?

Jericho: I did Edge. It sounded like a superstar asking for an opportunity and to just talk with our General Manager about his career, but Theodore Long shot him down.

Edge: Why does that sound so familiar? Oh, you know why? It’s because that’s what Theodore Long has done to us time and time again.

Shelton: What are you guys doing here?

Edge: We were just walking around and couldn’t help but here you’re little conversation with our so called “unbiased” General Manager Theodore Long. You see, Theodore Long is doing to you what he does to us. He ignores us, doesn’t give us opportunities, and simply doesn’t care about us, just like he did to you when he blew you off moments ago.

Shelton: He didn’t blow me off. He’s… just busy tonight. That’s all. He’ll get back to me.

Jericho: And what happens when he doesn’t? What happens when he keeps making excuses to not talk to you about the advancement of your career? Face it Shelton, Theodore Long doesn’t care about you anymore than he does about me or Edge. It’s just a matter of time until Teddy Long starts to completely go against you by putting you in impossible matches and making sure you never get you shot at being on top.

Edge: But we can put a stop to that before it gets really out of hand. It’s already happened to us, but soon enough Long’s biased ways will start to show on others like you. You said it yourself, Shelton. You’re the greatest pure athlete in the business today. Your career is growing by the second and it’s just a matter of time before you’re at the top.

Jericho: You’re the future of this business. But you’ll never get there as long as Theodore Long is in charge. That’s what The Revolution is here for. We’re here to get rid of Theodore Long and his biased ways. And we just want to remind you that we are always looking for new members for our group. Just think about it Shelton.

Shelton looks at Jericho and Edge confused. Shelton ponders for a second. It looks like Shelton is about to speak, but he stops, thinks for a second, and then walks away trying to blow it off. Jericho and Edge look on at Shelton smirking.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from the commercial break, a replay video is shown from WWE Superstars last week. It shows clips from Cryme Tyme verses Jesse and Jimmy Wang Yang. The ending is shown where JTG comes in and clotheslines Jesse over the top rope and to the outside. JTG then launches himself over the top rope and onto Jesse. Yang goes to the top rope for a moonsault, but Shad catches Yang and gets him on his shoulders. JTG comes back in and they perform their tag team finisher the G9. Shad gets the pin and Cryme Tyme celebrates their win.

Cryme Tyme’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, being accompanied by Shad, from Brooklyn, New York, Wisconsin, weighing in at 235 pounds, JTG.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and it’s time for Cryme Tyme.

JR: Nice play on words Todd. Anyway, one half of Cryme Tyme will be in action tonight. It will be the quick and charismatic JTG in one-on-one competition. Cryme Tyme obviously wants to rack up some more wins to get closer to Tag Team Title shots.

Grisham: Cryme Tyme is a great tag team. As we saw last week on WWE Superstars, Cryme Tyme was able to pick up a tag team victory. But they’re going to have to really work for it since the tag team division is really starting to get competitive.

Jimmy Wang Yang’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And his opponent, being accompanied by Jesse, from Austell, Georgia, weighing in at 206 pounds, Jimmy Wang Yang.

JR: And here’s the tag team Cryme Tyme beat last week. The new formation of this team between Jesse and Jimmy Wang Yang.

Grisham: For a new tag team, these two worked really well together and gave Cryme Tyme a run for their money. I look forward to see what they can do in the future.

JR: Both men have been in the tag team division before with different partners. Let’s see if they found the right one this time. But for right now, Jimmy Wang Yang will be in singles action against JTG.

JTG vs. Jimmy Wang Yang
-The match is fast-paced and even the whole time. Towards the end, Yang is in control. Yang is kicking away with mid kicks on JTG. JTG ends up grabbing one of Yang's kicks and pushes Yang to the ground. JTG holds Yang's legs and flips over for the pin. The cover, 1...2...Yang kicks out. Yang uses his legs to bring JTG to the ground for a pin. The cover, 1...2...JTG kicks out. Both men get to their feet but Yang gets the advantage with a roundhouse heel kick to JTG. Yang lifts JTG up and tosses him into the corner. Yang runs at the corner and runs up JTG and follows up with a dropkick. Yang goes to the top rope and waits for JTG to get up. Yang jumps off for a crossbody but JTG counters with two knees to the gut and chest of Yang. Both men slowly get to their feet. JTG runs at Yang and hits a flipping elbow attack. JTG punches away at Yang and then tosses him into the corner. JTG runs at Yang in the corner and hits the Mug Shot. The cover, 1...2...Yang kicks out. JTG goes for a clothesline on Yang, but Yang ducks and kicks JTG in the back of the head. Yang runs to the top rope and hits a Moonsault onto JTG. The cover, 1...2...3 Yang wins.
Winner: Jimmy Wang Yang

Justin: Here is your winner, Jimmy Wang Yang.

JR: A big win for the Asian Redneck, Jimmy Wang Yang. This gives some momentum for the new team after their lose last week.

Grisham: Yang and Jesse are two great athletes with similar styles in the ring. They looked good last week and get a singles victory this week. I can’t wait to see these two teams face off again in tag team action.

JR: Me too. I want to see if Yang and Jesse have built up more chemistry as a team. But you can never count out Cryme Tyme. Both teams will be working towards a Tag Team Title shot for the future.

Grisham: That’s every tag team’s goal, but it’ll be a tough road with the outbreak of new teams in the WWE now. Speaking of tag team, tonight’s main event will be a tag team contest. We’ll see The Brother’s of Destruction, Kane and The Undertaker, team up once again to take on The Revolution’s Chris Jericho and Edge. All of that and more when we return to Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see Theodore walk out of his office and making his way to the ring for his announcement. As he’s walking, Long’s stopped by Jericho and Edge.

Edge: We need to talk to you Teddy.

Long: Look I…

Jericho: Shut up and listen to us. How can you put us in a match against the Undertaker and Kane? Kane should be punished for costing me the number one contenders match last week. I had it won Teddy.

Edge: And what gives the Undertaker the right to come out and attack Jericho and Khali for no good reason? Thank god I came out before it was too late and things got worse.

Long: Look, I don’t have time to here you two complain for an hour and try to get out of your match. The match is still on and it will not change no matter what you say. Now excuse me, I have to deliver my big announcement.

Long walks away as Edge and Jericho look on with a disgusted and angry face.

Jericho: You see that Edge? He just disrespected us once again.

Edge: I know. I just don’t get it. But soon enough thanks to us, Theodore Long will be no more and hopefully then we will get the treatment we deserve.

Edge turns his head to the side and seems to be looking at something.

Edge: What are you looking at?

The camera turns and we see CM Punk. Punk walks up to Jericho and Edge.

Punk: I’m looking at the two biggest cry babies in the WWE. All you two do is complain and complain about how Theodore Long treats you “unfairly.” I just wish there was a real life mute button so I’d never have to listen to you two again. And I think that Teddy’s doing a great job as General Manager.

Jericho: Of course you do. You’re one of his favorites that he protects just because you pander to all of those hypocrites. Make all the jokes you want Punk because it doesn’t matter. The Revolution is here and we won’t stop until our mission is complete, and that’s to take over Smackdown so that Theodore Long is gone forever. And if we have to, we’ll take you and anyone else out with him.

Punk: So the two of you and that Punjabi idiot think you can take over Smackdown? Now that’s funny. Do you really think anyone will join your group? Whether you two think so or not, everything is fine here on Smackdown. No one else complains about every little thing that happens because if we did it would be complete chaos and no one’s needs would be met.

Edge: You know what your problem is Punk? You’re scared and jealous. You’re scared to stand up and rebel, and you’re jealous of our success, especially that I have the World Title and you don’t.

Punk: First off, scared to rebel? I’m straight edge. I’m the meaning of rebellion. And as far as jealously goes, I’m not the least bit jealous of either of you. And Edge let me remind you of something.

Punk holds up his Money In The Bank briefcase

Punk: You see this? Now you of all people should know what this is. It’s the Money In The Bank briefcase, which means I can cash this in at anytime for your World Title. I can cash it in at No Mercy, next week, tonight, or even right now. You won’t know when Edge, but know this, that The Revolution won’t always be there to defend you. I’d watch your back at all times. Nice talk guys.

Punk walks away as Edge and Jericho stare off angrily.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Theodore Long’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the General Manager of Smackdown, Theodore Long.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown as the General Manager makes his way out here for his big announcement. I can’t wait to here what this is going to be.

JR: This is the second week in a row that Theodore Long has made an announcement concerning No Mercy. We saw Theodore Long has his mind set and focused on this announcement. We saw backstage a few times tonight that Long has been too busy to talk to the Smackdown superstars.

Grisham: The Revolution and Shelton couldn’t get through to Long tonight. This must be huge and we’re about to find out right now what this announcement will be.

Long grabs a microphone

Long: As you have all heard, I have yet another big announcement this week. Last week I announced a series of matches to determine the number one contender for the World Title. Well this announcement is similar. At No Mercy, there will be a fatal four way match to determine the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at Cyber Sunday. Now these four participants will be determined all next week. First, we will see a triple threat match on WWE Superstars between Jeff Hardy, Dolph Ziggler, and John Morrison. Then on Smackdown, we will see the remaining three qualifying matches. They will be Umaga verses the Undertaker, Kane verses Chris Jericho, and CM Punk verses Shelton Benjamin. The winners will all go onto No Mercy in that fatal four way match. Thank you for your time and good luck to everyone in their qualifying matches.

Long is about to leave but just then Dolph Ziggler’s music plays. The crowd boos as Ziggler makes his way to the ring.

JR: What an announcement by our General Manager, and I’m sure this man is happy about that.

Grisham: As we just heard, Ziggler will be in one of the qualifying matches for the fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy. Next week on WWE Superstars it will be Dolph Ziggler verses Jeff Hardy verses John Morrison for the first spot in that huge match.

JR: That’s going to be a huge opportunity for Dolph Ziggler.

Ziggler grabs a microphone.

Ziggler: It’s about time Teddy that you put me in a match like this. Last week, you didn’t even put me in the battle royals for the number one contendership. How could you do that? If you had put me in last week I would’ve won and I’d be standing here the number one contender for the World Title. But instead you overlooked me for others like my opponent tonight, John Morrison. How could you put Morrison in stead of me? I’m ten times more talented than Morrison will ever be. But now that you’ve finally come to your senses, I will show you that you never should’ve tossed me aside last week. I’m going to not only win my qualifying match next week, but I’m going to win at No Mercy and fulfill my destiny of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion at Cyber Sunday. I’m going to show you Theodore Long, why you should never forget the name Dolph Ziggler.

Just then John Morrison’s music plays and the crowd cheers. Morrison makes his way down to the ring.

Grisham: Here’s someone that disagrees with what Ziggler is saying. One of the men who will face him next week in the qualifying match and his opponent tonight, John Morrison.

JR: John Morrison is an incredible athlete like Ziggler and I’m sure Morrison will have a few choice words for the cocky young superstar.

Morrison grabs a microphone and goes right up to Ziggler.

Morrison: I was in the back getting ready for our match and I couldn’t help but hear that ridiculous nonsense coming out of your mouth. You really feel that you’re the best and that you’ll be the number one contender?

Ziggler: I don’t think, I know. I’m the future of this company, something people used to say about you when you started out. But now they know that I’m really the future star. And I’m going to prove that by not just winning next week in the qualifying match, but starting off by beating you here tonight.

Morrison: Well Ziggler, you talk a big game. Let’s see if you can back it up.

JR: Morrison verses Ziggler. It’ll happen when we return to Friday Night Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

John Morrison vs. Dolph Ziggler
-The match is a back and forth even contest. Towards the end Ziggler has control. Ziggle hits a suplex on Morrison. Ziggler the hits two elbow drops on Morrison, does his hair taunt, and then drops a high third elbow drop. The cover, 1...2...Morrison kicks out. Ziggler stomps on Morrison a few times before lifting him back up. Ziggler then hits a swinging neckbreaker on Morrison. The cover, 1...2...Morrison kicks out. Ziggler tosses Morrison off the ropes and sets up for aback body drop but Morrison comes back and kicks him. Ziggler goes for a punch but Morrison ducks and hits a handstand pele kick on Ziggler. Morrison sets up and hits a Break Dancing Leg Drop on Ziggler. The cover, 1...2...Ziggler kicks out. Morrison sits Ziggler up and delivers a running knee to Ziggler. Morrison taunts and hits a standing shooting star press. The cover, 1...2...Ziggler kicks out. Morrison stomps on Ziggler and then lifts him up. Morrison goes for the Moonlight Drive but Ziggler counters it into a Russian Leg Sweep. Ziggler and Morrison get up slowly. Ziggler runs at Morrison and connects with the Fame-Ass-Er. The cover, 1...2...Morrison kicks out. Ziggler starts to get frustrated and stalks Morrison. Morrison gets up slowly using the ropes to help him. Ziggler goes for the Zig Zag but Morrison holds onto the ropes causing Ziggler to fall back. Morrison sets up by the ropes and waits for Ziggler to get up. Morrison then springboards off the ropes and hits Ziggler with the Flying Chuck Kick. The cover, 1...2...Ziggler kicks out. Morrison then drags Ziggler over by a corner. Morrison goes for Starship Pain but Ziggler catches him before he can pull off the move and slams him to the ground. Ziggler goes right into a roll up but grabs the ropes. The cover, 1...2...3 Ziggler wins.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Justin: Here is your winner, Dolph Ziggler.

Grisham: Thanks to the ropes, Dolph Ziggler beats Morrison and gains momentum towards their qualifying match next week.

JR: The referee was out of position and wasn’t able to see Ziggler holding onto the ropes. But whether you like it or not, Ziggler goes down in the record books as getting the win here tonight over John Morrison.

Ziggler walks up the ramp smirking and holding his arm up in victory as Morrison is in the ring explaining to the referee that Ziggler held the ropes.

Grisham: Morrison not happy with the call. He’s trying to explain to the referee what happened, but Ziggler was able to escape with a cheap win.

JR: Ziggler may have momentum over Morrison now, but neither of them can forget about the other man in their qualifying match, Jeff Hardy. That’s going to be a great, fast-paced match.

Grisham: Yes it will and speaking of Jeff Hardy, he’ll be in action tonight. It’s Jeff Hardy and CM Punk teaming up to take on Umaga and the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin. And that match is next here on Friday Night Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Umaga’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 350 pounds, Umaga.

JR: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown as we see the Samoan Bulldozer make his way to the ring. And next week we’ll see Umaga take on the Dead Man, The Undertaker in a qualifying match for that fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy.

Grisham: Umaga hasn’t won many big matches lately, but he’s been impressive in every match he’s been in, especially the Scramble Match at Unforgiven.

JR: Umaga is a wrecking machine that everyone on Smackdown should look out for, or this man will bulldoze his way to the World Title easily.

Shelton Benjamin’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: His partner, from Orangeburg, South Carolina, weighing in at 248 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion, The Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin.

Grisham: Well this is an odd combination. A monstrous Samoan and quite possibly the greatest pure athlete in the WWE today.

JR: We saw earlier Shelton Benjamin was trying to get a word in with our General Manager about his future and moving into the spotlight. Unfortunately for the Intercontinental Champion, Theodore Long was very busy with his big announcement.

Grisham: But the announcement did involve Shelton and gave him a chance at the number one contendership, which is what he wanted. Also what was with Jericho and Edge talking to Shelton earlier? Well whatever they were trying to do, Shelton didn’t seem too impressed with them.

CM Punk’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: Introducing their opponents, first, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.

JR: Shelton may be confused about what Jericho and Edge were saying earlier backstage, but there is no confusion about Shelton’s match next week against this man. It’ll be CM Punk taking on Shelton Benjamin in a qualifying match for a spot in that huge fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy.

Grisham: Earlier we saw Punk run into Jericho and Edge backstage. Punk not only made fun of The Revolution, but he reminded Edge that he can cash in that Money In The Bank briefcase at any time for Edge’s World Heavyweight Title.

JR: If anyone knows about cashing in at the opportune moment it’s the current World Champion Edge, who has done it twice successfully. The question now is when will Punk cash it in?

Jeff Hardy’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And his partner, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.

Grisham: Well here’s a man who feels the same way about Edge as CM Punk does. Jeff wants that World Title back so badly after a short first title run in the beginning of the year.

JR: Well Jeff could have his shot once again if he wins the fatal four way match at No Mercy, but first he has to win his qualifying match next week. He’ll be in the first qualifying match when he takes on John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler in a triple threat match on WWE Superstars.

Grisham: That’s going to be a great match, but before Jeff or any of these men can look to next week, they have to focus on their tag team match right now.

CM Punk & Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga & Shelton Benjamin
-The match is an even tag contest with multiple tags during the match. Towards the end, Jeff and Umaga are the two legal men with Umaga in control. Umaga tosses Jeff into a corner. Umaga starts punching away at Jeff's head in the corner until he's seated in the corner. Umaga backs up, runs, and hits Jeff with that running hip attack. The cover, 1...2...Jeff kicks out. Umaga grabs Jeff's arm and drags him over to his corner. Umaga tags in Shelton. Shelton comes in and stomps away on Jeff. Shelton tosses Jeff off the ropes and hits Jeff with a back body drop. Shelton lifts Jeff up, sets him up for a powerbomb and tosses him into the corner. Jeff falls to the ground holding his back. The cover, 1...2...Jeff kicks out. Shelton lifts Jeff up and hits him with a T-Bone suplex. The cover, 1...2...Jeff kicks out. Shelton lifts Jeff up and tosses him into a corner. Shelton runs at Jeff in the corner and goes for a corner splash but Jeff moves. Shelton hits the turnbuckle and backs out of the corner hurt. Jeff runs to the top rope and hits the Whisper In The Wind on Shelton. Jeff starts crawling to the corner. Shelton grabs Jeff's foot to hold him back from the tag. They stand up and Jeff hits Shelton with a spinning mule kick. Jeff crawls and then lunges forward to tag Punk in. punk comes in and connects with forearms to Shelton. Punk tosses Shelton, but Shelton reverses it and tosses Punk off the ropes. Punk comes back and hits a back heel kick on Shelton. Shelton's momentum sends him back into his own corner allowing Umaga to tag himself in. Umaga gets it and goes for a clothesline on Punk but Punk ducks and connects with multiple kicks. Umaga pushes Punk back into the corner. Umaga runs at Punk but Punk moves and Umaga ends up in the corner. Punk runs at Umaga and connects with his high knee to a bulldog combination. The cover, 1...2...Umaga kicks out. Punk then grabs Umaga's arm and sets up the Anaconda Vice. Shelton then comes in and breaks it up. Shelton stomps away at Punk until Jeff comes in and attacks Shelton. Jeff grabs Shelton and tosses him to the outside. Umaga grabs Punk and looks to be going for the Samoan Spike but Jeff is able to attack Umaga before it happens. Jeff and Punk hit a double kick to Umaga and then a double DDT to him. Punk stalks Umaga, lifts him up and hits him with the GTS. Punk then tags in Jeff who goes up top and hits the Swanton Bomb on Umaga. The cover, 1...2...3 Jeff and Punk win the match.
Winners: CM Punk & Jeff Hardy

Justin: Here are your winners, CM Punk and Jeff Hardy.

JR: What a match that was. CM Punk and Jeff Hardy come out with not just a win, but with some much needed momentum going into next week’s qualifying matches.

Grisham: All four of these men along with others will be fighting for a chance next week to go to No Mercy and compete for the number one contendership to the World Heavyweight Title at Cyber Sunday.

JR: That’s what it’s all about, the World Title. All of these men are hungry for that title and I think they’re all ready to give it everything they’ve got to get that one shot. Well still to come tonight, our main event. It’ll be the leaders of The Revolution taking on the return of the Brothers of Destruction. More Friday Night Smackdown when we return here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

“Scream” by Adelitas Way plays in the background as the album cover is shown on the screen.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown. You are listening to “Scream” by Adelitas Way, which is off their new self titled debut album, in stores now. And JR, it seems like everyone is screaming for a World Title shot.

JR: Well four men will get their shot at No Mercy to see who gets the next World Title shot. Our General Manager Theodore Long announced tonight that there will be four qualifying matches next week. The four winners will go onto No Mercy in a fatal four way match to compete for the number one contendership to the World Heavyweight Title at our next pay per view, Cyber Sunday. Which four men will compete in less than two weeks? We’ll find out next week.

Grisham: And speaking of the all important World Title, our main event for Smackdown at No Mercy will be Rey Mysterio getting his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship when he faces the champion Edge.

JR: Last week, Rey Mysterio said that he had a whole new set of goals. He completed his first steps when he won his battle royal and then went onto the main event to defeat Chris Jericho and officially become the number one contender to the World Title. We’ve seen these two battle in the past. Will Rey be able to complete his goal of winning the World Title once again or will Edge show everyone how dominant of a champion he is?

Grisham: All of that and more at No Mercy in less than two weeks live on pay per view.

Backstage a reporter is with Chris Jericho and Edge

Reporter: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time, the leaders of The Revolution, Chris Jericho and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. Now guys, last week we saw the formation of your new group The Revolution. Even though things with the World Title shot didn’t go as you planned…

Jericho grabs the microphone from the reporter.

Jericho: Go as we planned? Let me tell you something. I wasn’t beat by Rey Mysterio last week. I was screwed out of my title shot by that freak Kane. Kane had no business out there and now not only do I not get the World Title shot that I deserve, but you don’t get to see the greatest match of all time. Even though these hypocrites don’t deserve to see a match of the magnitude of Chris Jericho verses Edge, we want to show the world that we would have the greatest match ever and that Undertaker verses Shawn Michaels is the most overrated piece of crap ever seen. But getting to tonight, Edge and I aren’t sweating this match at all. Last week, we laid out the so called “Brothers of Destruction” and this week we will do the exact same thing. We formed The Revolution not just because of Theodore Long, but because of people like Kane and the Undertaker, especially the Undertaker. These men pander to the parasites you hang on their every word and action. They do fancy moves and have special effects just to impress these tap worms. And what happens? Our so-called “unbiased” General Manager grants them anything they want without them having to work for it. It’s a disgrace.

Edge: Exactly. I couldn’t have said it better myself. People like me and Chris Jericho have to work for everything in this company just because we don’t give in to the pressures of pandering to the fans or his Long’s ass. It’s exactly why Teddy Long doesn’t like us and puts us in near impossible situations, without helping us. At Unforgiven, Long put me in an impossible situation by having me defend my World Title in a Scramble Match. Chris Jericho has been screwed out of match after match by our opponents tonight. And yet, Long does nothing about it and sees nothing wrong with it. He even ignored us earlier when we were just trying to talk to him. Does that sound like a good General Manager? I don’t think so. And we know that we’re not the only ones that are victims to this treatment and it won’t be long until others join us. As far as tonight goes, the “Brothers of Destruction” don’t intimidate us at all. Tonight, we make examples out of Kane and Undertaker. Tonight they will feel the force of The Revolution.

Edge and Jericho walk off to go to the ring.

JR: It’s Edge and Jericho verses Undertaker and Kane. Our main event will happen next when we return.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Kane’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown and it’s time for our main event of the night. And here comes the Big Red Machine, Kane.

JR: As we heard before the commercial break when Jericho was complaining, last week on Smackdown Kane did come out during the main event and cost Jericho the match. However Jericho seemed to have left out the fact that he interfered earlier in the second battle royal and caused Kane to be eliminated.

Grisham: Well the Big Red Machine will get some redemption for the attacks last weeks not only here tonight but next week when he faces Chris Jericho one-on-one in a qualifying match.

Undertaker’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: His partner, from Death Valley, weighing in at 299 pounds, Undertaker.

JR: And here’s the other half of the Brothers of Destruction, the Dead Man, the Phenom, the Undertaker. We saw the Undertaker return from a several month absence at Unforgiven when he came out and attacked Chris Jericho.

Grisham: That’s something Jericho has been complaining about too recently but Jericho was talking trash about Kane and Undertaker all week. Jericho had it coming, but Undertaker seems like he’s far from done with punishing Chris Jericho.

JR: And now you can add Edge and Khali to that list as well after last weeks attack after the main event. The Brothers of Destruction look to end The Revolution very quickly, and they may step closer to that goal by beating the leaders of the group here tonight.

“Smack Down” by Thousand Foot Krutch plays and the crowd boos

Justin: And introducing their opponents, at a combined weight of 476 pounds, Chris Jericho and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge, The Revolution.

Grisham: Well these men have something different in mind. They think this group be go on for a long time and will complete their goal of taking over Smackdown.

JR: Edge and Jericho are no doubt two of the most egocentric people in the WWE, but they are incredible athletes. Between the two of them, they have fourteen World Title reigns. Like them or hate them, you can’t deny how good they are.

Grisham: They seem to be really focused on their goal and are still trying to recruit people to join them. I hate to say it, but if anyone is going to lead this Revolution to success it would be Edge and Chris Jericho. Only time will tell if they’re successful or not.

Chris Jericho & Edge vs. Undertaker & Kane
-The match is a back and forth tag match the whole time. Towards the end, Kane and Edge are the two legal men. Edge is in control of the match as he stomps away at Kane. Kane gets up but Edge dropkicks him into the corner. Edge runs at Kane for a Spear in the corner, but Kane puts him boot up just in time. Edge comes back at Kane, but gets hit with a huge uppercut by Kane. Kane picks Edge up and walks over to his corner. Kane tags in Undertaker and then delivers a sidewalk slam to Edge. Undertaker goes off the ropes and hits a leg drop on Edge. The cover, 1…2…Edge kicks out. Undertaker lifts Edge up and starts to work on his arm. Undertaker then goes over to the corner and performs Old School. The cover again, 1…2…Edge kicks out. Undertaker tosses Edge into a corner and starts unloading with body blows. Undertaker tosses Edge into the opposite corner. Undertaker runs at Edge for a splash in the corner, but Edge moves making Undertaker hit the turnbuckle. Edge quickly rolls Undertaker up with a school boy and puts his feet on the ropes. The cover, 1…2…Undertaker not only kicks out but gets Edge locked in Hells Gates. The hold is broken right away though since Edge already had his feet on the ropes from the illegal pin leverage. Undertaker stalks Edge as Edge slowly gets up using the ropes and clutching at his throat. Edge turns around right into Undertaker lifting him up for the Tombstone, but Edge slides off the back of Undertaker and hits an Edge-O-Matic. Both men start crawling to their respective corners. Edge tags in Jericho as Undertaker tags in Kane. Kane goes for a clothesline, but Jericho ducks it and starts punching away at Kane. Kane just gets mad and shoves Jericho off. Jericho comes back off the ropes and hits a low dropkick to Kane’s legs. Kane is down to his knees and Jericho hits an enzuguiri on Kane. Jericho then springboards off the ropes and hits the Lionsault on Kane. The cover, 1…2…Kane kicks out. Jericho then goes for the Walls of Jericho, but Kane won’t turn. Kane uses his leg strength to get Jericho off of him. Kane gets up and hits Jericho with a clothesline. Kane then punches Jericho and finishes off with an uppercut. Kane lifts Jericho up and powerslams him onto his knee for a backbreaker. Kane then goes up top and hits Jericho with a flying clothesline. Kane stalks Jericho as he gets up slowly. Kane grabs Jericho by the throat but Edge comes in. Kane releases his grip and tosses Jericho by his corner. Kane boots Edge in the face and then lifts him up and tosses him over the top rope and to the floor. Kane goes by his corner and stalks Jericho for a Chokeslam. Undertaker is back up in his corner and tags himself in. As Undertaker gets in the ring, Kane looks at him confused. Undertaker doesn’t even acknowledge Kane and goes right after Jericho. Undertaker lifts Jericho up and hits the Tombstone Piledriver. The cover, 1…2…3 Undertaker and Kane win the match.
Winners: Undertaker & Kane

Justin: Here are your winners, Kane and the Undertaker.

Grisham: Well a weird finish, but the job gets down. The Brothers of Destruction defeat The Revolution.

JR: I don’t think Undertaker knew what was going on and was just focused on winning the match and hurting Jericho.

Khali comes down to ringside to check on Edge.

Grisham: And here’s Khali to check on Edge on the outside. Edge seems to be fine.

As Undertaker and Kane stand tall in the ring, Kane looks at Undertaker confused.

JR: Kane I think is still confused at what just happened to end that match.

Kane goes up to Undertaker and looks to be discussing the ending tag.

Grisham: And now he’s trying to discuss this situation with his brother.

JR: I’m sure Kane isn’t that mad since they won, but he just wants to know why since it looked like Kane had Jericho finished and the match won.

Just then Edge and Khali get in the ring and attack Kane and Undertaker as they are talking.

Grisham: Oh and of course the cheap shots by Edge and Khali. They really are sore losers.

JR: This is just like what happened last week after the main event.

Just then Rey Mysterio comes down to the ring and starts attacking Edge.

Grisham: And here comes Rey Mysterio to the rescue. The man who Edge will face at No Mercy.

Undertaker and Kane perform a double Chokeslam on Khali.

JR: And what a huge double Chokeslam by the Brothers of Destruction on the Great Khali. That’ll take out the Punjabi Giant.

Jericho gets up slowly. Jericho looks up and sees Undertaker standing in front of him. Jericho turns around quickly but he turns into Kane. Jericho quickly falls to the ground and rolls out of the ring.

Grisham: And look at this. Jericho runs out of the ring so quickly. He wants nothing more to do with Undertaker and Kane here tonight.

Rey sets Edge up on the second rope and connects with the 619.

JR: The 619 connects! Last week it was a Spear on Rey. This week, a 619 to Edge for some retribution.

The momentum sends Edge back. Rey looks like he’s going for a springboard attack, but Jericho and Khali grab Edge from the outside and pull him out of the ring.

JR: Jericho and Khali get Edge out of there before anymore damage is done.

Undertaker and Kane taunt in the ring. Rey gets on the rope and signals around his waist as Jericho and Khali carry Edge up the ramp and look back in disgust of what just happened.

Grisham: Well doesn’t this seem like a turn of events. Last week The Revolution stood tall, but this week the Brothers of Destruction and Rey Mysterio stand tall.

JR: Rey’s signaling for that World Title. He’s letting Edge know that he’s ready for their title match at No Mercy in less than two weeks.

Grisham: Well what a night we had and next week it gets even bigger. We’ll see four qualifying matches to determine the four competitors who will fight at No Mercy for the number one contendership to the World Title. And it’s the last week before No Mercy. What will happen? Thank you for joining us here tonight on My Network TV for Friday Night Smackdown. Goodnight.

Default Re: AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future

I was starting to get nervous with all your Raw matches for No Mercy... but we will get to that in a second.

Rey Mysterio to open up against Khali...... and Mysterio picks up the win via countout. The only way that this could of been done, without making Khali looking weak (even though he is bad to begin with). Good win for Mysterio.

Benjamin wants to be in a bigger spotlight, and I always would love to see Benjamin in a main event match... but Long saids he'll talk to him later...boo but what can The Revolution save him. As of now your just teasing it, but I honestly don't see benjamin joining them bc he just won the IC Title, and shook hands with Mysterio as a sign of respect (which I would imagine means he's full fledged face) unless when you started this he was already face. Either way I don't see him going with The Revolution.

Jimmy Wang Yang and Jessie together as a team.... this was a solid match, and good to see your trying to use all of the roster somehow. Surprised that Jimmy got the win, but I would love to see a nice friendly feud stem from this.

Nice promo in the back with Jericho, Edge and Punk. I know Punk is face.... and would love to see some matches between him and Jericho or Edge. Wonder what Long has to announce with No mercy.

Long/Ziggler/Morrison: Wow there we go a nice match-up set on No Mercy. All the qualifying matches are solid, and you have the potential for some huge star power to be in that fatal fourway. Now the match was very good some good back and forth and Ziggler with the dirty win is awesome. Gets me nervous that he might lose his qualifying match though.

Punk/Hardy vs. Umaga/Benjamin- really fast paced action, but Hardy and Punk pick up a huge win. Glad to see Umaga get pinned, even though both him and Benjamin lose. Reason why I like Umaga getting pin, is you don't really ruin the push that Benjamin wants. Sure its a lost but he didn't get pinned which doesn't make him look weak.

Edge and Jericho again. These two seem to be running the show, but hey I can't complain, love these two together. Anyway basic promo, about how they are going to dominate SD! Tough task with the BOD, but as they said they are ready to make an example out of them.

Revolution vs BOD: Maybe would of liked it a bit longer, but no worries it was still an excellent match. Ending with undertaker tagging himself in what is with that???? I'm sense a little bit of this only being a one night tag team hopefully because on both sides they are better as singles wrestlers imo. Khali getting involved, does him no good as BOD takes care of him, and Mysterio comes out and Mysterio is connects with a 619. Explosive finish, next week BOD and Rey Rey, vs. The Revolution, some six man tag action would be awesome.

Overall I thought it was a great show. I always have liked your SD's over your Raw main event a bit longer I think, but other than that awesome show man. Keep up the good work.

Default Re: AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future

Raw Preview:

With just six days before No Mercy, Legacy looks to go into the pay per view with full momentum, but that won’t be easy. This week, our main event will involve Legacy leader and number one contender Randy Orton taking on “The Game” Triple H. We’ve seen these two battle in the past so many times and each time they have taking each other to the limit and left each other beaten. Orton looks to gain momentum going into his big WWE Title match against John Cena, as Triple H looks to take out the leader of his opponents at the pay per view. Not to mention, Triple H still needs a partner for his match at No Mercy against Priceless. Has The Game found someone yet? Will Randy Orton be able to not only go in his title match with a win but soften up Triple H for his fellow Legacy members?

Speaking of Priceless, they will also be in action this week. The Tag Team Champions will defend their titles against the team the won them off of, the Colons. Two weeks ago, DiBiase and Rhodes were able to defeat Carlito and Primo on Raw for the Tag Team Championships. Last week on WWE Superstars, the Colons officially announced that they are using their rematch clause tonight. Will the Colons get their titles back and prove two weeks ago was a fluke, or will Priceless be 2-0 against the Colons and be one step closer to proving they are the most dominate tag team in the WWE?

Last week on WWE Superstars we saw the Big Show win the five man battle royal, earning the right to face MVP for the United States Title at No Mercy. But before that happens, the five contenders and the champion will be in action. The official number one contender the Big Show teams with The Miz and The Brian Kendrick to take on Chavo Guerrero, Kofi Kingston, and the United States Champion MVP in a six man tag team match. Will Big Show get a win over the United States Champion going into his title match this Sunday or will MVP lead his team to a victory?

For weeks we’ve seen Batista and Matt Hardy going at each other with constant brawling and attacks. But after last week, that was put to a stop. General Manager Vickie Guerrero announced that if either Batista or Matt Hardy attacks the other then they will be immediately suspended. With the anger and rage building inside both of these men, how will they react just six days before their big match?

No Mercy is just six days away, meaning anything can happen. What will occur leading up to this pay per view? Find out by tuning into Monday Night Raw at 9 PM EST on the USA Network.

A recap video is shown from last week on Raw. First, we see Batista coming out in the beginning of the night talking about Matt Hardy. Batista is shown saying, “Matt Hardy…at Unforgiven, we went one-on-one, and just when it seemed that I was about to put you away and win the match, you get yourself disqualified. You hit me with a steel chair…You finished your attack off with a Twist of Fate on the arena floor. You made your statement to the world. But you also made a big mistake…Now at No Mercy, when it’s me and you in a No Disqualification match, there will be nothing stopping me from giving you the beating you deserve. Unforgiven isn’t going to happen again. At No Mercy, I’m going to finish what I started.” Matt Hardy comes out and says “I couldn’t sit back there any longer…I want to teach you and everyone a lesson. I want to show everyone that I am the real deal and that I should be at the top and not you.” Batista then says “Why don’t you come down here and say that to my face.” Matt then tells Batista “You might want to know something… I was talking to Vickie Guerrero earlier… she made it official that if you touch me before No Mercy, then you are immediately suspended.” Vickie Guerrero comes out and says “Hold on Matt… if you hit Batista, then you will also be immediately suspended.” Next, clips are shown from the match between Matt and Cena. At the end, Matt goes for the Twist of Fate but Cena pushes him off. Matt goes to kick Cena in the gut but Cena catches his foot and performs a dragon screw to Matt. Cena locks in the STF on Matt. Matt struggles for the ropes but Cena pulls him back to the center of the ring and Matt finally taps out. Then clips from the main event between Orton and Batista are shown. Batista lifts Orton up on his shoulder but Orton slides off and hits a quick RKO on Batista. The cover, 1...2...Batista's foot is under the bottom rope for a rope break. Orton starts yelling at the referee and then goes to the outside and grabs the ring bell. The referee tries to take it from Orton but Orton resists the referee. Orton runs at Batista to hit him with the ring bell, but Batista ducks it, runs off the ropes, and connects with a Spear on Orton. Batista taunts and then grabs Orton and delivers the Batista Bomb. The cover, 1...2...3. The video ends with Batista standing tall.

Raw Opening Video is shown as “…To Be Loved” by Papa Roach plays

Pyro goes off and the crowd goes wild

Cole: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Monday Night Raw. We are just six days away from No Mercy and what a night we have for you tonight.

King: That’s right Michael. Just six days before facing Triple H and his mystery partner, Priceless will defend their Tag Team Titles against the former champions The Colons. Will Priceless enter No Mercy with their gold?

Cole: Speaking of Triple H, last week we saw The Game trying to find a partner. Will we find out tonight who his partner will be if he even found one?

King: For Triple H’s sake let’s hope he does find a partner. But Triple H has other things to worry about tonight as he will be in our main event.

Cole: That’s right King. Triple H will take on the number one contender Randy Orton in our main event tonight. Last week, Orton loss to Batista, whereas Orton’s opponent this Sunday, the WWE Champion, won his match. With his title shot just six days away, can Orton gain some momentum? We’ll find out all of that and more later tonight.

John Cena’s music plays and the crowd goes wild

Lilian: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the WWE Champion, John Cena.

King: The Champ is here and is kicking off tonight’s Raw.

Cole: What’s on the mind of John Cena right now with just six days to go before he defends that WWE Championship against Randy Orton?

King: Knowing John Cena he’s most likely prepared for this Sunday and can’t wait to show Orton why he’s the Champ.

Cena gets in the ring and grabs a microphone

Cena: At Unforgiven, I was involved in the WWE Championship Scramble Match, one of the most unpredictable matches in the WWE. Despite all the odds, I was able to get the final fall with three seconds left and walked out the new WWE Champion. The next night on Raw should have been a night for me to celebrate my title victory, but one man put a stop to all of that. Randy Orton, the former WWE Champion. Randy comes out here and complains about how Kennedy shouldn’t have been in the match and that I got lucky winning. I won Randy because you were careless. You thought I was out of the ring, but I wasn’t. You thought you had the match won, but you didn’t. So you come out and argue as always about how you should be the champion. Then you announce that you’re using your rematch clause at the next pay per view, No Mercy. That’s fine with me because this time when I beat you, there will be no excuses and no rematches. I will walk in as WWE Champion and I guarantee that I will walk out still WWE Champion.

Just then Randy Orton’s music plays and the crowd boos. Orton makes his way down to the ring.

Cole: And here comes the man that John Cena will defend his title against in just six days at No Mercy.

King: I’m sure Orton didn’t like what he heard in the back by John Cena. We all know Orton’s side of the story from Unforgiven.

Cole: Yeah but Unforgiven passed. There’s nothing Orton can do about it. Orton must be focused on this Sunday if he wants to get his title back.

Orton gets in the ring and grabs a microphone

Cena: Well, well, well. I’m surprised it took you so long to come out. Now we get to listen to the same old complaining, monotone speech…

Orton: Shut up! I couldn’t sit back there any longer hearing you spew this crap. You know damn well that if that injury prone, overrated Kennedy wasn’t in that match, you never would have made someone tap that easily and I would still be the WWE Champion. That is not a scenario, that’s not an opinion, that’s a fact. It seems the past few years we’ve crossed paths with the WWE Title on the line. A do you remember what happened each time? Well let me remind you. Two years ago in 2007, after a single RKO on the announce table I took you out and put you on the shelf, forcing you to forfeit the WWE Championship to me. Last year at WrestleMania 24 we met in a triple threat match with Triple H in the main event for the WWE Championship. And what happened? I pinned you in the middle of the ring to retain the WWE Championship. And this Sunday history will repeat when I beat you for the WWE Title once again. I will stop at nothing…NOTHING to get MY WWE Championship back! If I have to take you out like I took out Mr. Kennedy then I will not hesitate to do so. After this Sunday at No Mercy, I will get back what is rightfully mine, the WWE Championship.

Cena: Randy this Sunday you want a fight? You’ll get the fight of your life because nothing is going to stop me from keeping this title. I will never back down and I’ll never surrender. This Sunday I will show you no mercy! But why wait till Sunday.

Cena drops the microphone and gets up in the face of Orton. The two stare each other down until Vickie Guerrero comes out on the titantron.

Vickie: Excuse me! Cena, Orton, this is not going to happen here tonight. I’m not going to let this fight happen six days before No Mercy. You two have to wait until the pay per view to get your hands on each other. Now tonight, Randy Orton, you already have a match against Triple H in the main event, so I suggest you get ready and not overlook the Game. As for you Cena, since you seem to want to fight so badly I have just the match for you. Tonight you will face off against Batista and Matt Hardy. But there’s a problem here. You see Batista and Matt Hardy are not allowed to touch each other until this Sunday. So instead of a triple threat match you will face the two of them in a two on one handicap match. Good luck.

Cole: Wow what a match our General Manager just made. With his big title defense just six days away, John Cena now has to face both Batista and Matt Hardy in a handicap match.

King: Cena’s going to have to watch out if he wants to make it to No Mercy injury free. I’m sure Orton is loving this decision right now.

Cole: But how are Batista and Matt going to work together with the rivalry they’ve had? And of course we have Randy Orton verses Triple H in our main event tonight. Two huge matches plus much more here tonight on Monday Night Raw.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a video package is shown from last week’s Raw. It shows Priceless backstage talking to a reporter. We see Rhodes saying, “Triple H…We’re challenging you and a partner of your choosing to face us at No Mercy... But just know that no matter who you get to be your partner, you will fall to the Legacy.” DiBiase then says, “We are the single greatest tag team today. Being the Tag Team Champions only solidifies that fact.” Rhodes finishes the interview by saying, “We are simply Priceless!” Clips from the match between Rhodes and Triple H are shown. We see Rhodes springboards off the second rope for a cross body, but Triple H kicks him in the gut as he comes down. Triple H sets up for the Pedigree, but DiBiase gets on the apron and starts yelling at Triple H. Triple H gets distracted which allows Rhodes to get out of the Pedigree and chop block Triple H's leg. Rhodes then quickly grabs Triple H and hits the Cross Rhodes. The cover, 1...2...3 Rhodes wins. We see Priceless walking off victorious as Triple H is down in the ring. Then we see a reporter backstage later with Triple H. The video ends with Triple H saying, “Rhodes. DiBiase. You want a fight, you’ve got a fight. At No Mercy, it’s payback for everything you’ve done to me.”

Backstage a reporter is with Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes

Reporter: I am here with the Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Priceless. Now guys, this Sunday you have a big match against Triple H and a partner of his choosing. But before you can look ahead to No Mercy, tonight you have to defend those Tag Team Titles against the team you won it against, the Colons. What are your thoughts?

DiBiase: The Colons? Are we supposed to be intimidated by them? This title defense is a minor stepping stone towards No Mercy. Two weeks ago we defeated the Colons easily and tonight will be no different. There is no question that we will walk into No Mercy as the Tag Team Champions and we will walk out of the pay per view leaving Triple H and his partner laid out in the middle of the ring. We took out Triple H twice so far and there is no doubt that we can do it again. Triple H is just mad that Randy Orton took his spotlight a few years ago and has moved on to create the greatest faction of all time, Legacy. Who cares who his partner is. Has Triple H even found a partner yet?

Rhodes: No he hasn’t and you know why? No one wants to team with him because they know that they are going to lose to us. But it doesn’t matter who Triple H picks because there is no team that is better than us. Last week I pinned Triple H in the middle of that ring, 1…2…3, which is exactly what will happen this Sunday. Tonight we prove why we deserve to have these Tag Team Titles around our waists. And this Sunday at No Mercy, we will show everyone how dominant of a team we are and that we are the greatest team in the WWE today.

Rhodes and DiBiase leave for the ring

Cole: Rhodes and DiBiase defend the Tag Team Titles next against the former champions the Colons, when we return to Monday Night Raw.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a video package is shown recapping the Tag Team Title match from two weeks ago on Raw. A few clips from the match are shown. We then see Rhodes ducks from a crossbody from Primo. Primo goes over the top rope and to the floor on the outside. Carlito goes for the Backstabber on DiBiase, but Rhodes runs over and grabs DiBiase’s arms, preventing him from falling back into the Backstabber. DiBiase lifts Carlito up and hits him with Dream Street. The cover, 1…2…3 DiBiase gets the pin. The video ends with DiBiase and Rhodes holding the Tag Team Titles up high as they walk up the ramp.

Lilian: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the Tag Team Championship.

The Colons’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: Introducing first, the challengers, at a combined weight of 438 pounds, Carlito and Primo, The Colons.

Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and we are ready for Tag Team Title action as the former Tag Team Champions make their way down to the ring.

King: Last week on WWE Superstars we saw Carlito and Primo officially announce that they were using their rematch clause for here tonight. Let’s hope for their sake that they don’t repeat what happened two weeks ago.

Cole: Well as we saw when we came back from the commercial break, two weeks ago the Colons lost the Tag Team Titles to Priceless. Priceless has been on a roll lately, but the Colons look to stop that here tonight and take back their titles.

Legacy’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: And their opponents, at a combined weight of 454 pounds, the Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Priceless.

Cole: And here come the cocky Tag Team Champions now. Earlier we heard from DiBiase and Rhodes and they said that this is going to be an easy match for them.

King: Priceless was very confident about retaining their titles tonight and said this match was a minor stepping stone towards No Mercy. It seems like they are looking past the Colons tonight and looking ahead towards their match against Triple H and his mystery opponent.

Cole: Well that might come back to haunt them. They do not want to take the Colons lightly here tonight. The Colons were the first ever Unified Tag Team Champions. If they want to walk into No Mercy with the Tag Titles and momentum they’re going to need to get their head in the game for this match.

Tag Team Championship
Priceless vs. The Colons

-The match is a back and forth tag match with many tags. Towards the end, Carlito and DiBiase are the legal. Carlito goes to toss DiBiase off the ropes but DiBiase reverses it and tosses Carlito off the ropes. Carlito springboards off and hits DiBiase with a back elbow. Carlito picks DiBiase up and scoop slams him by a corner. Carlito goes out on the apron and springboards off one rope to the other and flips onto DiBiase. The cover, 1…2…DiBiase kicks out. Carlito stalks DiBiase as DiBiase uses the ropes to get up. Carlito goes for the Backstabber but DiBiase holds onto the ropes, preventing the move. DiBiase kicks Carlito in the head, keeping him down. DiBiase drags Carlito over to his corner and tags Rhodes in. They wait for Carlito to get to his feet and they hit him with a High-Low. Rhodes goes for the cover, 1…2…Carlito kicks out. Rhodes waits for Carlito to get up and hits a running swinging neckbreaker. The cover, 1…2…Carlito kicks out. Rhodes picks Carlito up in the corner and starts punching him, but Carlito ducks and gets out of the corner. Carlito goes to punch Rhodes in the corner, but Rhodes kicks Carlito in the gut, sending him stumbling backwards. Rhodes springboards out of the corner for a crossbody but Carlito counters with a dropkick to Rhodes in mid-air. Both men crawl to their corners. Carlito tags in Primo and Rhodes tags in DiBiase. Primo runs in and clotheslines DiBiase twice. Primo does his cartwheel taunt as DiBiase gets up. Primo runs off the ropes and hits a running jumping back elbow on DiBiase. The cover, 1…2…DiBiase kicks out. Primo picks up DiBiase and goes for a tornado DDT, but DiBiase pushes Primo off. Primo goes for a clothesline, but DiBiase ducks and turns it into a Russian Leg Sweep. DiBiase drags Primo over to the corner and tags in Rhodes. Rhodes measures up and delivers a high knee drop to Primo. The cover, 1…2…Primo kicks out. Rhodes stalks Primo as he gets up slowly. Rhodes goes for the Cross Rhodes but Primo is too close to the ropes and grabs onto the ropes to prevent the move. Primo elbows Rhodes to get out of the hold and then connects with a springboard clothesline. Primo crawls to his corner and tags in Carlito. Carlito comes in and dropkicks Rhodes. As Rhodes gets up, Carlito connects with a high knee lift right into a clothesline. The cover, 1…2…DiBiase breaks up the pin. Primo then comes in and clotheslines DiBiase to the outside taking himself with him over the top rope. Carlito picks Rhodes up and hits Rhodes with a DDT. On the outside, DiBiase grabs Primo and tosses him into the steel steps. Carlito dropkicks Rhodes, sending him back into his corner. DiBiase sneaks up on the apron and tags himself in. Rhodes gets up slowly and Carlito hits him with the Backstabber. Carlito goes for the cover but the referee doesn’t count since Rhodes isn’t the legal man. DiBiase runs in, picks Carlito up from behind, and delivers Dream Street. The cover, 1…2…3 Priceless wins and retains their titles.
Winners: Priceless

Lilian: Here are your winners and still the Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Priceless.

Cole: Priceless picks up the win and retains the Tag Team Titles after a hard fought battle.

King: I think the Colons put up more of a fight than Priceless had anticipated. That was not as easy of a victory as Priceless thought.

Cole: But now that this is over, DiBiase and Rhodes can look toward their match this Sunday at No Mercy. Priceless has been undefeated for four weeks in a row. Can Triple H find the perfect partner to help put an end to that?

King: Triple H better get looking because Priceless is ready to go for Sunday.

Cole: Speaking of Triple H, he will be in action tonight against Legacy leader Randy Orton in our main event tonight. We’ll be right back with more Monday Night Raw here on the USA Network.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see Triple H in the locker room on his cell phone talking to someone

Triple H: Hey, it’s Hunter. How’ve you been?

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: That’s great. Listen, this Sunday at No Mercy I have a match against DiBiase and Rhodes. Now I need a partner and I was wondering if you wanted to lace up your boots and join me.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Are you really going to give me that “retired” excuse? Come on, I know you want to teach these guys a lesson just as much as I do.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: So there’s no hope in convincing you to be my partner?

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Alright. I’ll talk to you soon. Bye.

Triple H hangs up his phone

Triple H: Ok, let’s try someone else.

Triple H looks through his contacts on his cell phone as we cut away.

King: Looks like Triple H is still searching for a partner.

Cole: We’ll stay updated on Triple H’s search as the night goes on and hopefully by the end of the night we’ll know who his partner will be.

Backstage a reporter is interviewing Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, and the Bella Twins

Reporter: I’m here with Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, and the Bella Twins. Now last week, we saw you two, Mickie and Kelly, come to the aid of Nikki and Brie Bella as they were being assaulted by Maryse, Beth Phoenix and Rosa Mendes. What are your thoughts on this situation?

Mickie: Last week Kelly and I were backstage and saw two innocent divas and friends of ours being ganged up on after the match was over. It was an unwarranted attack and we needed to do something about it, so we came down to the ring and cleared them out before they could do anymore damage.

Reporter: Kelly, tonight you face Beth Phoenix one-on-one. How do you feel going into this match?

Kelly: I know Beth is bigger and stronger than me which is a huge advantage. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous going into the ring with the Glamazon. But tonight I’m going to give it my all to teach that bully Beth Phoenix a lesson. We’ve all banned together to put a stop to these attacks by those three divas and restore order to the divas division.

Mickie: And Maryse, I know you’re the one behind all of this. I know you’re the person that’s leading these attacks. Two weeks ago you attacked me backstage for no reason, smashing that Diva’s Title against the back of my skull. I haven’t forgotten about that and I will stop you from trying to take out the entire divas division. And also you better watch out and hold that title tight while you still can because I will take that Diva’s Title away from you soon.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a video package is shown from last week’s WWE Superstars. Clips from the five man match for the number one contendership to the United States Title are shown. We see Chavo going for the Three Amigos but Kendrick reverses the third suplex and hits The Kendrick. Miz comes in and hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Kendrick. Miz goes for the Reality Check on Kofi but Kofi moves out of the way and hits Trouble In Paradise. Kofi goes for the pin but Big Show breaks it up. Kofi kicks Big Show and dazes Big Show with a dropkick. Kofi goes for Trouble In Paradise but Big Show blocks the kick and delivers a Knockout Punch right to Kofi. The cover, 1...2...3 Big Show wins. The video ends with Big Show standing tall.

The Brian Kendrick’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: The following six man tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Venice, California, weighing in at 184 pounds, The Brian Kendrick.

Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw as we get ready for six man tag team action involving superstars in the United States Title division.

King: And here comes one man who would love a shot at the United States Title, The Brian Kendrick. Kendrick has had success in the Tag Team and Cruiserweight divisions here in the WWE but now looks to step it up and go for the U.S. Title.

Cole: Kendrick has a cocky swagger about him but this young man is talented. I wouldn’t doubt Kendrick getting a title shot in the future.

The Miz’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: From Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 231 pounds, The Miz.

King: Speaking of cocky, here comes probably one of the most self absorbed guys in the WWE, The Miz.

Cole: Like The Miz or not, you have to admit that he’s improved greatly since first arriving here in the WWE. Two weeks ago on WWE Superstars, with a little outside help The Miz was able to pull off a victory over the United States Champion MVP.

King: Outside interference or not, any time you can get a win over the United States Champion that’s a big deal. I hate to say it but we could see The Miz holding that United States Title soon enough.

Big Show’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: Their partner, from Tampa, Florida, weighing in at 485 pounds, the Big Show.

Cole: Well here is the man who helped The Miz defeat MVP two weeks ago after a Knockout Punch to the gut. The number one contender for the United States Title, the Big Show.

King: Last week on WWE Superstars, Big Show earned the number one contendership after he won the five man match against The Miz, The Brian Kendrick, Chavo Guerrero, and Kofi Kingston.

Cole: And now the Big Show will go onto No Mercy this Sunday to face MVP for the U.S. Title. Can Big Show walk out of the pay per view as the new United States Champion? We’ll find out this Sunday.

Chavo Guerrero’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And their opponents, first, from El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 215 pounds, Chavo Guerrero.

King: Here’s a man who is trying to get his career back in order, Chavo Guerrero.

Cole: Chavo of course comes from the infamous Guerrero family. Chavo is a former Tag Team, Cruiserweight, and ECW Champion. Chavo knows what it’s like to be a champion but like you said Chavo has been off lately and looks to get back on track.

King: Well going for the United States Title is definitely the way to go. If he can get a shot at the title, that may be the boost his career needs right now.

Kofi Kingston’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: From Jamaica, weighing in at 218 pounds, Kofi Kingston.

Cole: And here comes the ever exciting Kofi Kingston. Kofi is also another man who has put his name in the hat for a shot at the United States Title.

King: This young man is such an incredible athlete in that ring. He just comes at you from out of no where. Those skills will get him a title shot one day.

Cole: Last week on Raw Kofi Kingston picked up a huge victory over the Big Show. I think that after No Mercy there is a good chance Kofi will be next in line for a title shot.

MVP’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And their partner, from Miami, Florida, weighing in at 249 pounds, the United States Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP.

King: Well we’ve talked about the United States Title so much, and here’s the United States Champion, MVP.

Cole: MVP is the longest reigning United States Champion in WWE history. There’s a reason why MVP is the United States Champion, and Big Show may learn that reason at No Mercy.

King: We saw the conflict Big Show and MVP have two weeks ago on the V.I.P. Lounge. How will things turn out this Sunday when they go one-on-one with the title on the line?

Big Show, The Brian Kendrick, & The Miz vs. MVP, Kofi Kingston, & Chavo Guerrero
-The match is a back and forth tag team match. Towards the end Miz and Chavo are the legal men. Miz punches and stomps on Chavo as he tries to get up. Miz lifts Chavo up and tosses him into his corner. Miz runs and connects with his patented clothesline. Miz then tags in Kendrick. Kendrick comes right in and kicks away at Chavo. Kendrick runs off the ropes and drills Chavo with a running dropkick to the side of his head. The cover, 1...2...Chavo kicks out. Kendrick picks Chavo up, tosses him off the ropes, then runs at him as he comes back and connects with a back heel kick. The cover, 1...2...Chavo kicks out. Kendrick stalks Chavo as he gets up slowly. Kendrick grabs Chavo by the head and runs up the corner going to The Kendrick but Chavo pushes Kendrick off as he runs up the corner, landing Kendrick on the top rope sitting there. Chavo climbs the ropes and delivers a super back suplex to Kendrick. Both men are down and slowly crawl to their corners. Kendrick gets to his corner and tags in Big Show as Chavo tags in Kofi. Kofi runs in at Big Show kicking away and then dropkicks Big Show which takes him back a bit into a corner. Kofi runs at Big Show in the corner, leaps and starts punching away at him, but Big Show grabs Kofi and starts to walk out of the corner. Big Show tosses Kofi backwards, but Kofi lands on his feet. Kofi goes for Trouble In Paradise but Big Show catches him and tosses him off. Kofi lands by his corner and tags in MVP. The two of them go over to Big Show and start punching and kicking away at him. Kofi then sweeps Big Show's legs from behind while MVP dropkicks Big Show from the front, sending Big Show to the floor. MVP and Kofi run off the ropes, taunt, and then hit the Ballin' Elbow and the Boom Drop simultaneously on Big Show. The cover, 1...2...Miz breaks it up. Miz starts stomping away at MVP until Kofi comes in. Kofi punches Miz backing him up to the ropes by his corner. At this time, Kendrick comes in to stop Kofi, but Chavo comes in and dropkicks Kendrick out of the ring. Chavo then sets up and launches himself over the top rope and onto Kendrick. Kofi kicks Miz to the ground until Miz rolls under the rope but tries to pull himself up on the apron. Kofi runs off the ropes at Miz but gets caught with a huge shoulder to the gut by Miz. Miz then sets up and back body drops Kofi over the top rope and out of the ring to the floor. Big Show gets up by his corner. MVP runs at Big Show for the Player Boot but Big Show catches it to block it. Just as that happens, Miz tags himself in. Miz gets in and the referee is telling Big Show to get out as he tosses MVP back. Miz and Big Show argue as the referee is getting Big Show out of the ring and in his corner. Miz then turns around right into the Player Boot by MVP. MVP the dropkicks Big Show's knee which makes Big Show fall off the apron. MVP then grabs Miz in the center of the ring and connects with the Play Maker. The cover, 1...2...3 MVP wins it for his team.
Winner: MVP, Kofi Kingston, & Chavo Guerrero

Lilian: Here are your winner, Chavo Guerrero, Kofi Kingston, and MVP.

Cole: MVP picks up the win for his team and gains some momentum towards his title defense at No Mercy against the Big Show.

King: There seemed to be some miscommunication between Miz and Big Show, but MVP was smart enough to take advantage of that and it paid off for him. If MVP wants to win at No Mercy, he’s going to have to do exactly what he did tonight and use his head and take advantage of any little opportunity he gets.

Cole: The United States Champion is ballin’ his way toward this Sunday but will Big Show be able to put a stop to that come No Mercy? Wells till to come tonight we will see No mercy opponents Batista and Matt Hardy team up against John Cena in a handicap match. And our main event will be “The Game” Triple H verses the number one contender Randy Orton. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back with more Monday Night Raw here on the USA Network.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see MVP walking to the locker room after his match when a reporter catches up with him.

Reporter: MVP, first off congratulations on picking up the victory for your team tonight in the six man tag team match moments ago. I just wanted to ask you what your plans are for this Sunday when you defend your United States Title against the Big Show.

MVP: Now I know Big Show is going to be a tough challenge. He’s the World’s Largest Athlete. But I’m the MVP of the WWE. I’m not the United States Champion for no reason. Like tonight, I’m going to have to play it smart against the big man. But I’m confident that I will show the Big Show why I’m the United States Champion and he’s not. This Sunday I will stop the dominant giant and walk out still the United States Champ.

Cole: MVP seems ready to go for Sunday. That’s going to be a tough fight for the United States Champion.

King: MVP has his work cut out for him at No Mercy. He’s not the only one. Triple H is going to have a tough time at No Mercy too.

Cole: Well Triple H needs to find a partner for his tag match this Sunday against the Tag Team Champions Rhodes and DiBiase, Priceless. Triple H has been searching all week and we’ve already seen him calling people on the phone, trying to find anyone he can to be his partner.

King: Let’s hope he finds a partner or it’s going to be a long night for Triple H at No Mercy.

Backstage we see Triple H in the locker room on his cell phone talking to someone.

Triple H: Hey it’s been awhile. How are you doing?

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Good. Well I’m going to cut right to the chase. I need a partner for this Sunday. Now I know it’s been awhile since you’ve stepped into a WWE ring but…

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Really?

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Are you sure?

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: No, don’t worry about it. Obviously you can’t so I can’t be mad at you for that. I’ll find someone else.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Ok. Take care of yourself. Bye.

Triple H hangs up the phone and takes a deep breath.

Triple H: Maybe I’ll try someone from Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Batista’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: The following contest is a two on one handicap match, scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Washington D.C., weighing in at 290 pounds, Batista.

Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and boy are we in for an interesting match-up here. How are Batista and Matt Hardy going to work together in this match?

King: They’ll have to. Last week it was made official that Batista and Matt can’t touch each other until their match at No Mercy or else they’ll be immediately suspended.

Cole: Well I know the Animal is all fired up and ready to go for No Mercy. Batista can’t wait to get his hands on Matt Hardy in just six days.

Matt Hardy’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: His partner, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 236 pounds, Matt Hardy.

King: Judging by the way Batista is staring down Matt right now, I don’t think he can last six days, but he’s going to have to.

Cole: These two are partners tonight but come Sunday they will face off once again, but this time it’ll be a No Disqualification match.

King: These two are going to completely tear each other apart with no rules to stop them. And I for one can’t wait to see it.

John Cena’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And their opponent, from West Newbury, Massachusetts, weighing in at 240 pounds, he is the WWE Champion, John Cena.

Cole: This is the last situation John Cena thought he was going to be in tonight. This match was made earlier tonight when Cena had a confrontation with Randy Orton. Cena challenged Orton to fight him right there but our General Manager Vickie Guerrero stopped it before it started.

King: Vickie then told Cena that if he wanted to fight so badly then he can fight Batista and Matt Hardy tonight in a handicap match.

Cole: If somehow Batista and Matt can get on the same page then this is going to be a long night for the WWE Champion.

Batista & Matt Hardy vs. John Cena
-The match is mainly in control by Hardy and Batista, but they tag themselves in every time. Towards the end Matt is the legal man and has control against Cena. Matt punches away at Cena and then tosses him into a corner. Matt runs at Cena in the corner and connects with a clothesline to a bulldog combination. The cover, 1...2...Cena kicks out. Matt then runs off the ropes and delivers multiple leg drops to Cena. The cover, 1...2...Cena kicks out. Matt picks Cena up and sets up for the Twist Of Fate but Cena punches his way out of it. Cena goes for a clothesline but Matt ducks and connects with the Side Effect on Cena. The cover, 1...2...Cena kicks out. Matt then goes up top and looks over at Batista saying "watch this." Matt jumps off for a Leg Drop but Cena moves out of the way. Both men get to their feet and Cena connects with two shoulder blocks in a row. Cena then connects with a spin-out powerbomb to Matt. Cena taunts and then connects with the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Cena taunts as he waits for Matt to get up. Cena lifts Matt on his shoulders for the Attitude Adjustment but Matt slips off and stumbles backwards into his corner. Batista tags himself in and Matt looks at him baffled that he did that. Batista runs in and punches away at Cena. Batista tosses Cena off the ropes and connects with a spinning sidewalk slam. Batista lifts Cena up and tosses him in a corner. Batista runs over and connects with multiple shoulder thrusts to Cena. Batista then lifts Cena up and slams him to the ground. Batista goes for a Batista Bomb but Cena gets out of it and punches away at Batista's gut, making his way up to his head. Cena kicks Batista in the gut, runs off the ropes and connects with the Throw Back. The cover, 1...2...Batista kicks out. Cena grabs Batista's leg and goes for the STF but Batista kicks him off. Batista gets up as Cena runs at him and Batista connects with a Spine Buster to Cena. Batista goes over to the ropes and shakes them as he taunts for the Batista Bomb, but he's close to his corner so Matt tags himself in. Batista turns around as Matt gets in and looks confused. Batista argues with Matt about why he did that. Batista looks like he's about to punch Matt but instead backs up and leaves the ring. Matt yells back at Batista. Matt turns around and sees Cena getting up. Matt goes to kick Cena in the gut but Cena catches Matt's foot. Cena gets Matt to the floor and locks in the STF. Matt crawls to the ropes screaming in pain as Batista watches from the outside floor right by the ropes. Matt is a fingertip away from the ropes but Batista gets in the face of Matt and then pulls the rope back with all of his strength. Matt can't reach the rope now. Cena pulls Matt back to the center of the ring and locks in the STF again. Matt has no choice but to tap out, making Cena win the match
Winner: John Cena

Lilian: Here is your winner, John Cena.

Cole: And Cena defies the odds and wins the handicap match.

King: I’d have to give the assist to Batista there. Matt would’ve had the ropes if it wasn’t for Batista pulling them away.

Cole: Well Batista and Matt were working well for awhile, keeping Cena down. But then all of the blind tags and egos caught up to them and Batista left Matt to fend for himself. Cena took advantage of this and with a little help from The Animal picked up the win here tonight.

Batista walks up the ramp walking backwards staring back and pointing at Matt Hardy yelling “this Sunday you’re done!” as Matt stares back with an angry look on his face.

King: These two look like they’re about to explode. This Sunday is going to be crazy when they finally get t fight it out.

Cole: No doubt that will be an epic fight between Batista and Matt Hardy. John Cena stands tall as the winner and gains some more momentum going into No Mercy. Now we’ll have to see how his opponent Randy Orton does tonight when he faces Triple H in our main event here on Monday Night Raw. Stay tuned, more Raw when we return here on the USA Network.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Beth Phoenix’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: The following diva contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, being accompanied by Rosa Mendes and the Diva’s Champion Maryse, from Buffalo, New York, Beth Phoenix, the Glamazon.

Cole: Welcome back to Monday night Raw as we get set for divas action here. Beth Phoenix makes her way out here with her protégé Rosa Mendes and the Diva’s Champion Maryse.

King: I love the divas Michael. And we heard from Mickie James earlier how she believes Maryse is trying to take out all of the divas so that there’s no competition for her and the Diva’s Championship.

Cole: Well last week after Beth Phoenix and Maryse won their match against the Bellas, they decided to continue attacking the Bella Twins, with Rosa joining in with them.

Kelly Kelly’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And her opponent, being accompanied by Mickie James and the Bella Twins, from Jacksonville, Florida, Kelly Kelly.

King: Yes! It’s Kelly Kelly. She looks great tonight. Let’s hope the Glamazon isn’t too rough on that beautiful face.

Cole: Kelly said earlier that she was nervous about this and rightfully so. Beth is stronger and bigger than her, but don’t underestimate Kelly Kelly.

King: Last week Mickie James and Kelly Kelly came to the aid of the Bella Twins during the attack. Mickie said earlier that they need to stick together and that she looks to take Maryse out herself and take the Diva’s Title.

Beth Phoenix (w/ Maryse & Rosa) vs. Kelly Kelly (w/ Mickie & Bellas)
-The match is mainly in control by Beth, but Kelly does get some offense. Towards the end Beth is in control. Beth grabs Kelly by the hair and tosses her across the ring like a rag doll. Beth goes over to Kelly, lifts her head off the mat, yells at her and then slams her head into the mat hard. Beth lifts Kelly up for a suplex but holds her up for a standing vertical suplex. After a bit Beth finishes off the suplex. The cover, 1...2...Kelly kicks out. Beth lifts Kelly up, grabs her by the throat and tosses her right into a corner. Beth runs at Kelly in the corner but Kelly gets her foot up right in Beth's face. Kelly goes to the second rope and hits a missile dropkick on Beth. Beth gets back up and Kelly runs at her and connects with a head scissors. The cover, 1...2...Beth powers out. Kelly kicks Beth in the side of the head and then heads up top. Kelly waits for Beth to get up and then goes for a crossbody but Beth catches her. Beth goes to lift Kelly on her shoulder but Kelly slides off and dropkicks Beth into the corner, sending Beth to the floor. Kelly goes for the K2 but as she's coming down Beth moves. Beth grabs Kelly from behind setting up for the Glam Slam. Mickie then gets on the apron and starts yelling at Beth. Beth goes over and tries to kick her off the apron but Mickie moves. Beth goes over to Kelly and sets up for the Glam Slam again but Kelly reverses it into a roll-up. The cover, 1...2...3 Kelly wins.
Winner: Kelly Kelly

Lilian: Here is your winner, Kelly Kelly.

King: Wow Kelly Kelly just beat the Glamazon, Beth Phoenix.

Cole: What a win for Kelly, probably the biggest one of her career thus far.

King: That win sends the message to Maryse and Beth that they are ready for them and that this fight has just begun.

Backstage a reporter interviews Randy Orton

Reporter: Randy Orton, this Sunday at No Mercy you will take on John Cena for the WWE Championship, but before you get your title shot you have to face your former mentor Triple H in the main event. What are your thoughts on the two matches?

Orton: Tonight Triple H is not a problem. I will beat him like the many times I have before. I’m softening Triple H up for when he has to face Rhodes and DiBiase this Sunday. Triple H thinks he can underestimate them but that isn’t a smart move by The Game. He underestimated me when I was in Evolution and look how that turned out. Unlike him, I have faith in my protégés and I want to succeed because they are the future and Triple H will learn that the hard way this Sunday. As for my match this Sunday at No Mercy, there really isn’t anything left to say that I haven’t already said. I’m going to take back what I never should have lost, the WWE Championship. At Unforgiven Mr. Kennedy cost me the match and my WWE Title. But I took care of that problem with one swift punt to the head, taking Kennedy out for god knows how long. Kennedy can’t mess this up for me this time and Cena won’t have any lucky breaks in this match. At No Mercy I will take back my WWE Championship and I will take Cena out just like I did to Kennedy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

In the background “Scream” by Adelitas Way is playing as the album cover is shown on the screen

Cole: Welcome back to Raw and we’d like to thank Adelitas Way for the No Mercy theme song “Scream” off their new debut self-titled album, in stores now. With the pay per view just six days away there’s a lot these competitors will be screaming about.

King: Well one match that we’ll see is Batista verses Matt Hardy in a No Disqualification match.

Cole: After the DQ finish at Unforgiven, Vickie Guerrero wanted to make sure that didn’t happen again so she made the rematch for No Mercy a No DQ match. These two have been at each other’s throats for over a month now and we saw tonight how hard it’s been for them to restrain themselves. What will happen when these two are let loose and go at each other when anything goes?

King: This Sunday, the United States Champion MVP will defend his title against his biggest challenger yet, the Big Show.

Cole: This all started on the V.I.P. Lounge two weeks ago when Big Show slapped the U.S. Title out of the hands of MVP, but MVP would get the upper hand and take Big Show down with a Drive-By Kick. Last week on WWE Superstars, Big Show won the five man number one contenders match to earn the opportunity to face MVP at No Mercy for the title. Will the Big Show take the United States Title this Sunday or will MVP show Big Show that size doesn’t matter?

King: Also, we’ll see the Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase will take on “The Game” Triple H and a partner of his choosing.

Cole: Last week the challenge was made by Priceless and Triple H accepted it. Priceless have been on a huge role as of lately, but can Triple H slow them down? Rhodes and DiBiase said they are going to prove that they are the greatest tag team in the WWE today at No Mercy. The question is who will be Triple H’s partner when he tries to take down the Legacy members?

King: And our main event of the night. It’ll be the WWE Champion John Cena defending his title against the former champion Randy Orton.

Cole: Orton has been complaining about how Cena shouldn’t have won at Unforgiven and that he stole the WWE Title from him. Orton wasted no time and used his rematch clause for No Mercy to take back as he says what’s rightfully his. But Cena will not back down that easily and as he said will give Orton the fight of his life. Will Orton take back his WWE Title or will Cena prove to Orton that the win at Unforgiven wasn’t a fluke? Found out this Sunday at No Mercy live on pay per view.

Backstage we see Triple H in the locker room on his cell phone

Triple H: Hey, look I know you’re on Smackdown but it doesn’t matter. I can team with anyone.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Come on. It’s DiBiase and Rhodes, Orton’s lackeys. I know you’d love to take them out just as much as I would.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: But...

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: No it’s ok. I understand. Well take care of yourself.

Triple H pauses to listen to the person on the other line

Triple H: Yeah thanks. I’m going to need it. Bye.

Triple H hangs up his phone in disappointment. Cena then comes over and pats Triple H on the back.

Triple H: Hey John.

Cena: Hey Hunter. I heard about your problem. Look I’m sorry I can’t be your partner this Sunday.

Triple H: It’s fine. You have a title match against Orton. We have the same goal, to stop Legacy.

Cena: Yeah I guess we do. But I’m sure you’ll find a partner. I mean, who wouldn’t want to team with The Game, Triple H? And even if you don’t find a partner, you can beat those two punks by yourself easily.

Triple H: It seems like I might have to beat those two punks by myself this Sunday. But thanks John, and tonight I’m going to do you a favor whether you want it or not. Tonight, I’m going to beat the holy hell out of Randy Orton, just to soften him up a bit for you this Sunday. Anyway, good luck on Sunday.

Cena: Thanks and good luck to you too. Now go out there and beat Orton like only the King of Kings can.

Triple H leaves the locker room to go to the ring.

Cole: It’s Triple H verses Randy Orton, live here on Monday Night Raw, next.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Randy Orton’s music plays and the crowd boos

Lilian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 245 pounds, Randy Orton.

Cole: Welcome back to Raw and it’s time for our main event as the number one contender for the WWE Championship makes his way to the ring.

King: Orton didn’t seem too worried about this match earlier. He said that this was simply to soften up Triple H for his fellow Legacy members, Rhodes and DiBiase.

Cole: Orton can’t wait for his WWE Championship rematch at No Mercy this Sunday, but Randy Orton cannot look past his match here tonight against Triple H if he wants to make it to the pay per view healthy.

Triple H’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Lilian: And his opponent, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in at 255 pounds, Triple H.

Cole: And here comes the Game. Triple H has had a rough night trying to find a partner for Sunday, but a win here will boost the morale of the King of Kings.

King: We saw Triple H on the phone calling people left and right. He tried people on Raw, people on Smackdown, and even people not in the WWE currently. Who is Triple H going to get as a partner if he can eve find one?

Cole: That’s the question everyone including Triple H is asking right now. But Triple H needs to focus on Randy Orton right now and not on finding a partner. A win here could give Triple H some much needed momentum towards No Mercy.

Triple H vs. Randy Orton
-The match is back and forth the entire time, with many moves and counters. Towards the end Orton has control. Orton scraps his boot on the side of Triple H's head. Orton methodically stomps around on each limb of Triple H. Orton then hits a jumping knee drop on Triple H. The cover, 1...2...Triple H kicks out. Orton stomps on the head of Triple H and then applies a sleeper hold on him. Triple H seems as though he's fading. the referee checks his arm but Triple gets a burst of energy as the crowd cheers him on. Triple H gets to his feet and backs up into a corner, slamming Orton into the corner. Triple H starts punching away at Orton in the corner. Triple H goes to irish whip Orton but Orton reverses it by holding onto Triple H's hand, pulling him into him, and going right into his patented inverted backbreaker. The cover. 1...2...Triple H kicks out. Orton lifts Triple H's head up and methodically punches Triple H's head a few times. Orton gets Triple H in a front facelock and slowly lifts Triple H up to his feet. Orton then sets up and delivers a suplex to Triple H. The cover, 1...2...Triple H kicks out. Orton sits up looking frustrated and angry. Orton then stalks Triple H as he slowly gets up. Triple H is back to his feet and turns towards Orton. Orton goes for the RKO but Triple H pushes off. Orton comes back at Triple H but Triple H hits him with a clothesline. Orton gets up as Triple H is still trying to regain his composure. Orton punches Triple H but Triple H strikes right back. The two trade blows until Triple H gets the advantage. Triple H tosses Orton off the ropes but Orton reverses it and throws Triple H off the ropes. Orton bends down for a back body drop but Triple H reverses it into a face crusher on his knee. Triple H grabs Orton and hits a DDT on him. The cover, 1...2...Orton kicks out. Triple H goes off the ropes and hits a running knee drop. The cover, 1...2...Orton kicks out. Triple H goes for a Figure Four Leg Lock but Orton kicks Triple H off. Orton gets up and runs at Triple H with a clothesline but Triple H ducks and hits a reverse neckbreaker. Triple H lifts Orton up, tosses him off the ropes, and hits a Double-A Spine Buster. Triple H taunts and waits for Orton to get up. Orton gets to his feet slowly, turns around and Triple H kicks him in the gut and sets up for the Pedigree. Just then, DiBiase and Rhodes run down to the ring and are both on the ring apron yelling at Triple H. Triple H let's go of Orton and goes over to Priceless. Triple H swings at them but they both duck down off the apron. Triple H yells and points at them. Triple H turns around right into the RKO by Orton. The cover, 1...2...3 Orton wins.
Winner: Randy Orton

Lilian: Here is your winner, Randy Orton.

Cole: Orton gets the win but not without the help of his fellow Legacy members.

King: It looked like Triple H was setting up for the end when he gets distracted by Priceless and turns back right into an RKO by their leader.

DiBiase and Rhodes get in the ring. All of Legacy start to beat up on Triple H.

Cole: And now the three on one assault by Legacy. Someone needs to stop this.

Just then, John Cena runs down to the ring.

King: Here comes the WWE Champion to the rescue.

Cena starts attacking Orton, but Priceless help Orton out and are able to take control.

Cole: But even Cena isn’t enough to stop Legacy. The numbers game is too much for Cena and Triple H to handle.

Orton stomps away at Cena. Priceless lift Triple H up. Rhodes grabs Triple H and hits the Cross Rhodes on him. Then DiBiase lifts Triple H up and hits Dream Street on him.

King: Cross Rhodes and Dream Street to Triple H. This does not look good for Triple H for this Sunday.

Cole: If Triple H doesn’t find a partner for Sunday this could be his fate yet again.

Rhodes and DiBiase join Orton in stomping away at Cena

Cole: And now like a pack of wolves just stomping away at a defenseless Cena.

Priceless lifts Cena up and hold him as Orton gets in his face. Orton starts yelling at Cena “this Sunday, you’re finished! I’m taking back my title!” Orton then hits the RKO on Cena.

King: And Orton adds insult to injury. First he yells in Cena’s face and then delivers a devastating RKO.

Orton stands over Cena and raises the hands of DiBiase and Rhodes, as Legacy stands tall in the ring.

Cole: Well Legacy had one goal in mind here tonight and that was to send a message to their No Mercy opponents, and that message is that you better watch out because you’re in for the ride of your life this Sunday.

King: Legacy definitely made their statement here tonight. They’ve proven how dominant of a group they are and at No Mercy they hope to make their dominance more known to the WWE.

Cole: Will this Sunday be Legacy’s night? Can Orton add the crown joule to Legacy? Don’t forget to order No Mercy this Sunday live on pay per view. Thank you for joining us tonight for Monday Night Raw here on the USA Network. Goodnight.

ECW Preview:

With just six days away from the biggest match of his career, the number one contender Paul Burchill will take on the “All American American” Jack Swagger in our main event on ECW. The past few weeks these two have been going at it about who is better and who deserves a shot at the ECW Title more. At Unforgiven, Swagger prevented Burchill from possibly getting the final pin over Christian to win the ECW Title. Two weeks ago on ECW, Burchill pinned Swagger in the fatal four way number one contenders match. Last week we saw the two men have a confrontation backstage as Swagger interrupted Burchill’s interview. Swagger stated that he should be the number on contender and can beat anyone on ECW in a one-on-one match. As a result, the match was made and now Swagger and Burchill will be put to the test. Will Burchill prove that he deserves to be number on contender or will Swagger back up everything he’s been saying in recent weeks?

This Sunday at No Mercy, Paul Burchill will take on the ECW Champion Christian in his first one-on-one ECW Title match ever. Last week during the main event match between Christian and Zack Ryder, as the referee was knocked out we saw Katie Lea come to the ring and distract Christian. Paul Burchill took advantage and sent a message to the ECW Champion by delivering the Twisted Sister to him on the ropes which set Christian up for a Zack Attack and the win by Zack Ryder. As a result, Christian is banned from ringside for the main event this week involving Paul Burchill. Is Burchill in Christian’s head or is the veteran Christian just enraged and waiting for his moment to get back at Burchill?

Last week Zack Ryder picked up the biggest victory of his career on ECW thus far when he pinned the ECW Champion Christian. Now Ryder will take on the high-flying and unpredictable Evan “Air” Bourne. Can the Long Island native continue his momentum from his huge victory last week or will Bourne quickly stop Ryder in his tracks? All of this and more on ECW this Tuesday on SyFy.

WWE Superstar Preview:

This week on WWE Superstars we have a huge main event coming to you from Smackdown. As announced last week on Smackdown by General Manager Theodore Long, there will be four qualifying matches for the huge fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy this Sunday. This Thursday we will see qualifying match number one for this match. It will be a triple threat match between Jeff Hardy, Dolph Ziggler, and John Morrison. With all three men having similar styles, this should be an interesting and evenly matched contest. Which of these three men will be the first to qualifying for the huge number one contenders match at No Mercy?

Also this week we will see two Raw superstars battle it out. It will be the Italian Santino Marella taking on the Englishman William Regal. These two superstars are looking to get back in the game and make a name for themselves. This week on WWE Superstars, they will get that opportunity. Which man will walk out with a huge victory? Tune in this Thursday to WWE Superstars on WGN America for all of this and more.

ECW 9/29/09

WWE Signature Video is shown

A recap video from last week’s ECW is shown. It starts off with a graphic for Christian verses Ryder as Striker says “It’s going to be The ECW Champion Christian going one-on-one with the Long Island pretty boy Zack Ryder.” Then we see Ryder during his interview saying “Recently, I’ve been overlooked here on ECW. So after I beat Christian in this non-titled match here tonight, I guarantee that I will never be overlooked for an ECW Title match again… Tonight, I show everyone just how great Zack Ryder is. Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!” Then clips from the match between Christian and Ryder are shown. It then shows Christian setting up for the Killswitch but Ryder pushing him off and into the referee. Ryder tries for the Zack Attack but Christian reverses it and connects with the Killswitch. Christian goes for the cover but the referee is still out. Just then Katie Lea comes down and is on the apron yelling at Christian. Christian goes over to the ropes and tries to grab Katie Lea but she jumps down from the apron. Paul Burchill is then on the apron right to the side, grabs Christian, and hits the Twisted Sister on the ropes on Christian. Christian stumbles and Ryder grabs him and connects with the Zack Attack as Katie Lea revives the referee. The cover, 1...2...3 Ryder wins. The video ends with Zack Ryder doing the L.I. taunt on the ropes screaming “Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!” while Paul Burchill and Katie Lea walk backwards up the ramp looking back at the ring and see a fallen, angry Christian look at them and yelling at them.

ECW Opening Video is shown as “Don’t Question My Heart” by Saliva plays

Pyro goes off and the crowd goes wild

Mathews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to ECW here on SyFy. We are just five days away from No Mercy and what a night we have leading into the pay per view.

Striker: Well last week we saw the continuation of the confrontation between Jack Swagger and Paul Burchill about the Scramble Match and the number on contendership. This week on ECW they will settle this conflict in the ring when they go one-on-one in our main event tonight.

Mathews: And after the Burchills’ run-in last week during the main event, ECW General Manager Tommy Dreamer has made it official that Christian is banned from ringside for the main event match.

Striker: That’s huge considering the ECW Champion would most likely want revenge after Paul Burchill and his sister Katie Lea cost him his match against Zack Ryder last week, but now Christian will just have to wait until No mercy to get his hands on The Ripper.

Mathews: Well that’s our main event for tonight and we have much more coming your way tonight. Let’s get started.

Finlay’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, weighing in at 233 pounds, Finlay.

Mathews: And we kick things of with the Fighting Irishman Finlay who’s always ready to fight.

Striker: Well lately Finlay hasn’t had much luck against The Hart Dynasty. Every time he’s faced either David Hart Smith or Tyson Kidd, Finlay has lost to them.

Mathews: Finlay gets a chance to turn his luck around as he once again takes on the Hart Dynasty. Will the luck of the Irish help Finlay get back into the winning circle?

The Hart Dynasty’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by Tyson Kidd and Natalya, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 260 pounds, David Hart Smith.

Striker: Finlay may need the luck of the Irish to beat this man, the son of the British Bulldog. Two weeks ago here on ECW we saw David Hart Smith beat Finlay. I’m sure that’s going to be in the back of Finlay’s mind.

Mathews: It seems as though David Hart Smith and the Hart Dynasty has the number of the fighting Irishman. But recently the Hart Dynasty has run into a bit of a road block in their success.

Striker: That’s right and it’s the new team of Mark Henry and Ezekiel Jackson. Two weeks ago on WWE Superstars Mar Henry beat Tyson Kidd and then last week on ECW Ezekiel Jackson pinned David Hart Smith. How will that affect Smith here tonight?

David Hart Smith vs. Finlay
-The match is a back and forth contest. Towards the end Finlay has control. Finlay hits Smith with a few short arm clotheslines and then hits him with his senton drop. The cover, 1...2...Smith kicks out. Finlay lifts Smith up and tosses him into the corner. Finlay charges at him and hits a running shoulder thrust to Smith. Finlay lifts Smith up for the Celtic Cross but Kidd gets on the apron distracting Finlay. Finlay drops Smith and charges at Kidd on the apron but Kidd drops down. Finlay then turns into a big boot by Smith. Smith lifts Finlay up and hits a high angled back suplex. The cover, 1...2...Finlay kicks out. Smith then lifts Finlay on his shoulder for the Running Powerslam but pauses as he sees Mark Henry, Tony Atlas, and Ezekiel Jackson come down to the ring. Kidd and Natalya go over to them and start yelling at them to get out. Smith drops Finlay and goes over to the ropes to yell at them too. Kidd slaps Jackson to get his attention. Jackson gets enraged and attacks Kidd with a huge clothesline. Henry then picks Kidd up and delivers a World Strongest Slam to him on the floor as Atlas holds back Natalya and Smith is still yelling at them. The referee comes over and yells at them to stop it and get out. As this happens, Finlay crawls to the corner and grabs his shillelagh Smith turns around and Finlay hits him with the shillelagh Finlay goes for the pin and yells at the referee to turn around and count. The cover, 1...2...3 Finlay wins.
Winner: Finlay

Chimel: Here is your winner, Finlay.

Mathews: Thanks to Mark Henry and Ezekiel Jackson, Finlay finally gets a win over the Hart Dynasty.

Striker: Finlay is back in the winning column and Mark Henry and Ezekiel Jackson continue to get inside the heads of the Hart Dynasty. It looks like the Hart Dynasty may have met their match here on ECW.

Mark Henry, Ezekiel Jackson, and Tony Atlas walk up the ramp looking back at the Hart Dynasty. The Hart Dynasty looks back at them furious and starts yelling at them.

Mathews: The Hart Dynasty does not look happy about what just transpired. This war between these two teams is just getting started.

Striker: Mark Henry said last week that him and Big Zeke with Tony Atlas as their manager would be total domination. Well they are making their mark here on ECW.

Mathews: Well still to come tonight in our main event, we’ll see the “All American American” Jack Swagger taking on the number one contender, “The Ripper” Paul Burchill. Stay tuned for more ECW when we return here on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see Tommy Dreamer and Tiffany in Dreamer’s office.

Tiffany: I’m really excited to meet him. Where is he?

There’s a knock at the door.

Dreamer: Come in.

We hear the door open. Dreamer and Tiffany get up and look over at the door.

Dreamer: Here he is now.

The camera zooms out and we see Gregory Helms. Helms shakes hands with Dreamer and Tiffany.

Dreamer: Gregory Helms. It’s great to see you again. How have you been?

The three of them sit down.

Helms: I’m feeling much better. My neck injury is healing up nicely and I’m just about at a hundred percent.

Tiffany: Well it’s great to have you here on ECW.

Helms: It’s great to be on ECW. I’ve been watching this brand for awhile and you guys seem to have everything running well around here. So many new stars are being built here on this brand and I want to congratulate you guys on that.

Dreamer: Thanks Gregory. And you know, now that you’re on ECW you can be one of those rising stars as well.

Tiffany: Definitely. You are an incredible wrestler and could be a major asset to ECW. You’re the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in WWE history. That’s a huge accomplishment.

Helms: Thank you. I look forward to making ECW my home. Since my neck is better it looks like I will be returning to the ring soon and I will work my way up and soon enough become the ECW Champion.

Dreamer: That’s what I like to hear out of a wrestler. You know most people would’ve retired after a neck injury like yours, but you had the will and determination to rehab and work your way back to the ring. That’s the sign of a true champion.

Just then we hear someone barge in the office and we see that it’s Vladimir Kozlov, who looks pissed off.

Dreamer: Vladimir, can’t you see we’re in a meeting right now? And you need to knock. You can’t just barge into…

Kozlov: I want Evan Bourne!

Dreamer: What?

Kozlov: Last week, Evan Bourne was announced the winner by count out. But he didn’t beat me. I was not pinned. I want Bourne tonight so I can show how dominant I am.

Dreamer: First off, never interrupt me or barge into my office again. Second, I can’t do that for you. Evan Bourne already has a match tonight.

Kozlov gets right up in Dreamer’s face. Helms gets up and backs Kozlov up.

Helms: Hey easy man. Calm down. You obviously need to relax and learn to respect your General Manager. Now why don’t you get out of here?

Kozlov slowly starts to backup as Helms looks down at Dreamer. Kozlov runs at Helms and catches him off guard with a hard kick straight to the chest, which sends Helms over the couch and onto the floor, landing on his neck. Kozlov stands there as Dreamer and Tiffany run over to Helms to see if he’s ok.

Kozlov: I want competition. I want Evan Bourne. And then I want the ECW Championship.

Kozlov walks out of the room as Dreamer and Tiffany still check on Helms looking concerned.

Zack Ryder’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 214 pounds, Zack Ryder.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW as we get ready to see the Long Island native in action.

Striker: Notice that Ryder is walking with more of a swagger and confidence this week. That win over the ECW Champion Christian really did a lot for him. Like him or not, Zack Ryder has proved that he is the real deal.

Mathews: I don’t think we can overlook Burchill’s interference in that match. But Ryder looked very impressive in that match and it does go down in the record books as a win for Ryder. He may be on his way to the ECW Title soon enough.

Evan Bourne’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: And his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Striker: Speaking of big wins, last week Evan Bourne picked up a huge victory over the “Moscow Mauler” Vladimir Kozlov on WWE Superstars.

Mathews: The win was by count out but it was a smart plan by the quicker and smaller Evan Bourne. But we saw the result of that win just moments ago. Kozlov is not happy with that result and is demanding a match against Evan Bourne again.

Striker: If I’m Evan Bourne, I’d watch my back because Kozlov is coming for him and he’s not happy right now. I think we’ll end up seeing them face off again soon, but right now Evan Bourne needs to concentrate on Zack Ryder.

Zack Ryder vs. Evan Bourne
-The match is an even contest between the two men. Towards the end Ryder has control. Ryder has Bourne sitting in the corner, charges at him, and connects with a kick to the face. The cover, 1...2...Bourne gets his foot on the ropes. Ryder lifts Bourne up and tosses him in the opposite corner. Ryder runs at Bourne but Bourne puts his boot up. Bourne goes to toss Ryder off the ropes but Ryder reverses it and throws Bourne off the ropes. Bourne springboards off and connects with a tornado DDT to Ryder. Bourne goes up top and sets up for what looks like the Air Bourne but Ryder gets up and trips up Bourne before he can jump off. Ryder climbs up the ropes and delivers a superplex to Bourne. Both men are down as the referee starts to count. At about the count of four both men are slowly trying to get up. At the count of seven both men are to their feet in the middle of the ring. Ryder and Bourne go back and forth exchanging punches and kicks. Bourne gets the better of it with a few side kicks and kick to the head. Bourne tosses Ryder off the ropes and goes for a high spinning kick but Ryder ducks. Ryder goes off the ropes and as Bourne turns around Ryder hits him with the Rough Ryder Leg Drop. The cover, 1...2...Bourne kicks out. Ryder lifts Bourne up and goes for the Zack Attack but Bourne reverses it. Bourne goes for a kick to the head but Ryder ducks and shoves Bourne to the ropes. Bourne turns around at the ropes and Ryder charges at him and connects with a clothesline. Bourne goes backwards over the ropes but lands on his feet on the floor. Bourne tells Ryder to bring it but just then Vladimir Kozlov comes out and attacks Bourne from behind. The referee rings the bell for the disqualification as Ryder yells at the referee enraged by the decision.
Winner: Evan Bourne (via DQ)

Chimel: Here is your winner by disqualification, Evan Bourne.

Mathews: Well Bourne wins the match but at what cost?

Kozlov picks Bourne up and tosses him hard into the side railing by the ramp.

Striker: I told you, Kozlov is angry and very dangerous right now. We saw what he did to Helms before.

Mathews: So Kozlov interrupts this great match to take his frustration directly to source, Evan Bourne.

Just then Tiffany’s music plays and the crowd cheers. Tiffany comes out onto the titantron with a microphone.

Tiffany: Kozlov, what are you doing? First you almost re-injure Gregory Helms and now you ruin this great match. You’re lucky that the ECW General Manager Tommy Dreamer doesn’t suspend you for what you’ve done. But since it seems like you want Evan Bourne so badly, Tommy Dreamer has made the decision to make a rematch between you two this week on WWE Superstars. But Kozlov, one more mishap like this and you will be suspended immediately and you will never see the ECW Championship.

Kozlov looks back at Bourne with a stern look on his face. Bourne stares at Kozlov angrily as he struggles to get back to his feet.

Striker: Wow what an announcement. The rematch between Kozlov and Bourne. Well Kozlov ended up getting what he wanted, but Tiffany laying down the law for Kozlov.

Mathews: Kozlov’s attitude tonight will not be tolerated by Tiffany and Dreamer anymore. But anyway this Thursday on WWE Superstars the rematch will happen. Still to come tonight, it’s Jack Swagger taking on Paul Burchill in our main event. We’ll be right back with more ECW here on SyFy when we return.

*-----Commercial Break------*

“Scream” by Adelitas Way plays in the background as the album cover is shown on the screen.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW and we’d like to say thank you to Adelitas Way for the No Mercy theme song “Scream” off their self-titled debut album, in stores now.

Striker: Well there will be a lot to scream over at No Mercy as the ECW Champion Christian defends his title against “The Ripper” Paul Burchill.

Mathews: Two weeks ago on ECW, Paul Burchill won a number one contenders match to earn an opportunity at the ECW Title. Paul Burchill is set on showing everyone that he is championship material and that he can beat Christian.

Striker: This is Paul Burchill’s first one-on-one shot for the ECW Championship. Can Burchill make the most of it this Sunday and walk out the champion? Or will Christian prove to Burchill why he’s the champion? It all goes down this Sunday at No Mercy live on pay per view.

Backstage a reporter is with Paul Burchill and Katie Lea

Reporter: I am here with the number one contender to the ECW Title, Paul Burchill. Now Paul, tonight you go one-on-one with Jack Swagger just five days before your big ECW Title match. What are your thoughts?

Burchill: For the past few weeks I’ve had to listen to Jack Swagger talk down to me, saying that he’s the best. Swagger claims that I cost him the ECW Title in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven and that he should’ve won the number one contenders match. First off, at Unforgiven I had Christian pinned and the Scramble Match won, but Swagger broke the pin up and screwed me out of the ECW Title. Then two weeks ago during the number one contenders match, if I remember correctly I pinned Jack Swagger to win the match. Swagger walks around like he’s the best and no one can beat him. Swagger keeps saying that he can beat anyone on this brand one-on-one. Well tonight I finally show him that “The Ripper” is better than him. As far as last week goes, I came out to show Christian that he should not underestimate me. This Sunday, I will become the new ECW Champion. And this time, no one else will be able to prevent it from happening.

The Burchills start to walk to the ring

Mathews: When we return, it’s Paul Burchill verses Jack Swagger in our main event here on ECW.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Jack Swagger’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 263 pounds, The All American American, Jack Swagger.

Mathews: Welcome back to ECW and it’s time now for our main event of the night. And here comes the two time All American, Jack Swagger.

Striker: Throughout the past few weeks we’ve seen the confrontations between Swagger and Burchill about the ECW Title picture. Swagger, a former ECW Champion, believes that he’s the best on ECW and believes he should be the current number one contender.

Mathews: Swagger is a great competitor, but Burchill did beat him in the fatal four way number one contenders match. Well last week we saw Burchill was being interviewed backstage and Swagger interrupted it saying he should be interviewed instead and that Burchill keeps stealing everything from him. The match was made and this argument gets settled here tonight.

Paul Burchill’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by Katie Lea, from Chelsea, England, weighing in at 247 pounds, Paul Burchill.

Striker: And here comes the number one contender, “The Ripper” Paul Burchill along side his lovely sister, the “Scarlet Witch” Katie Lea. You know Katie Lea could play a big factor in not just this match but this Sunday as well.

Mathews: We saw last week during our main event between Christian and Zack Ryder, Katie Lea came out and distracted Christian, allowing Burchill to hit that Twisted Sister on Christian onto the ropes, which ultimately cost Christian the match against Ryder.

Striker: Because of that, Christian has been banned from ringside for this match. Things are starting to heat up between these two and they will settle it in the ring at No Mercy for the ECW Title.

Jack Swagger vs. Paul Burchill
-The match is and evenly matched contest with back and forth action. Towards the end Burchill has control. Burchill tosses Swagger off the ropes and then hits him with a flapjack as he comes back. The cover, 1...2…Burchill kicks out. Swagger picks Burchill up and tosses him into a corner. Swagger runs at Burchill and connects with a corner body splash. The cover, 1…2…Swagger kicks out. Burchill hits the mat and then stalks Swagger once again. Burchill goes for the Twisted Sister again, but Swagger scouts this and moves out of the way. Burchill then turns around right into a boot to the face by Swagger. Swagger grabs Burchill from behind and delivers a german suplex to Burchill. The cover, 1…2…Burchill kicks out. Burchill then sets up and connects with the Dangerous Buster on Swagger. The cover, 1...2...3 Burchill wins.
Winner: Paul Burchill

Chimel: Here is your winner, Paul Burchill.

Mathews: A big win by Paul Burchill heading into his title match this Sunday.

Striker: Burchill not only gained momentum, but he also showed up Swagger and showed him why he’s the number on contender. Burchill has never looked better and this Sunday could be his time to shine.

Mathews: This Sunday Burchill will get his first one-on-one ECW Title opportunity which could be the launching point of his career.

As Burchill is celebrating, Christian runs down to the ring and attacks Burchill.

Striker: And here’s Christian. The match is over. It’s all legal.

Christian grabs Burchill and hits him with the Killswitch.

Mathews: Killswitch on Burchill. It looks like the champion just got some payback for last week.

Christian grabs his ECW Title, stands over Burchill, and looks down at him saying this is his title. Christian then stands tall holding his ECW Title high.

Striker: Last week Burchill was sending a message to the champion. Well this week, the champion Christian sends a message to Burchill.

Mathews: Will this be the image we see at No Mercy? Or will Burchill finally win the ECW Championship? Thank you for joining us here tonight for ECW on SyFy. Don’t forget to order No Mercy this Sunday, live on pay per view. Goodnight.

Cole: Santino is a former Intercontinental Champion so we know that he has what it takes to win a championship. Underneath all of his insane and funny tactics, lies a great wrestler, and Regal better know that.

Santino Marella vs. William Regal

Lilian: Here is your winner, William Regal.

Cole: And William Regal picks up the victory and some momentum for himself towards his goal of becoming United States Champion.

Cole: Well let’s see if Regal can keep this momentum going for himself. Well still to come tonight, a triple threat match for a spot in the fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy. It’s Jeff Hardy, Dolph Ziggler, and John Morrison fighting it out in our main event from Smackdown. Don’t go anywhere. More WWE Superstars when we return here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

As we come back from commercial break, a replay video is shown from WWE Superstars last week. It shows clips from Evan Bourne verses Vladimir Kozlov. It then shows Kozlov going to throw Bourne to the outside but Bourne lands on the apron. Kozlov turns around into a kick to the face and then a hurricanrana to the outside by Bourne. Tiffany then comes out and says “since it seems like you want Evan Bourne so badly, Tommy Dreamer has made the decision to make a rematch between you two this week on WWE Superstars.” The video ends with Kozlov looking back at Bourne with a stern look on his face as Bourne stares at Kozlov angrily as he struggles to get back to his feet.

Vladimir Kozlov’s music plays and the crowd boos

Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Moscow, weighing in at 302 pounds, Vladimir Kozlov.

Mathews: Welcome back to WWE Superstars and it’s time now for the ECW portion of the show as an angry Moscow Mauler makes his way to the ring.

Striker: Well recently, Kozlov has had his problems with Evan Bourne. As we saw in the recap video, last week here on WWE Superstars Bourne was able to get a count out victory over Kozlov, which didn’t set well with the Moscow Mauler.

Mathews: No it didn’t. This past Tuesday on ECW, we saw Kozlov barge into Dreamer’s office and demand a match against Evan Bourne. Kozlov then delivered a hard kick to Gregory Helms who was just returning from a neck injury and almost re-injured him. Kozlov would then interrupt Bourne’s match with Ryder and attacked Bourne, having assistant General Manager Tiffany make this rematch.

Evan Bourne’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Chimel: And his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Striker: And here comes the exciting Evan “Air” Bourne now. You know last week wasn’t the only problem Kozlov has had with Bourne.

Mathews: That’s right. At Unforgiven in the Scramble Match, Kozlov went for a headbutt to Bourne on the outside, but Bourne moved and Kozlov rammed his head into the steel steps, taking him out for the rest of the match.

Striker: Going abck to last week’s match between these two, I don’t see a problem with Bourne beating Kozlov by count out. It was smart by him. But Kozlov obviously has a problem and now Bourne needs to watch for the wrath of Kozlov, which he got a glimpse of on ECW.

Evan Bourne vs. Vladimir Kozlov
-The match is a back and forth match. Towards the end, Kozlov is in control. Kozlov throws Bourne off the ropes and delivers a clothesline that turns Bourne inside-out. Winner: Vladimir Kozlov

Chimel: Here is your winner, Vladimir Kozlov.

Mathews: And Kozlov gets his redemption for last week with a victory over Evan Bourne here.

Striker: And now I think Kozlov can move on. He said on ECW that he wanted to take out Evan Bourne and then take the ECW Title. Since he just beat Evan Bourne, it looks like the Moscow Mauler has his sites set on the ECW Championship now.

Mathews: Kozlov is unstoppable. How is anyone going to stop Kozlov single-handedly? Well still to come tonight is our main event from Smackdown. It’s a triple threat for a spot in the fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy. Stay tuned for more WWE Superstars here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see a reporter with Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya.

Reporter: I’m here with Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, and Natalya, better known as the Hart Dynasty. Now guys, it seemed like in the past few months you were ruling ECW and dominating anyone in your way. But now all of a sudden, the new team of Mark Henry and Ezekiel Jackson seem to be standing in your way. Last week Ezekiel Jackson beat you DH Smith and this week they cost you your match against Finlay on ECW. What are your thoughts on this new team?

Smith: These guys aren’t a team. They’re just two big guys that happen to be working together. To be a team you need to have chemistry. The art of a tag team doesn’t just happen over night. It takes a long time of training together. The Hart Dynasty, we’re family. We were born to be teammates just like the Hart Foundation. Right now, Mark Henry and Ezekiel Jackson are running on beginner’s luck, but soon that will wear out and we will take over ECW again and show how dominant of a tag team we truly are.

Kidd: And speaking of tag teams, last week on WWE Superstars we couldn’t help but over hear the Colons in their interview. I believe they said that they would take back their titles and what happened? They lost again to Priceless. So we are calling out Rhodes and DiBiase and letting them know that we want a title shot. We’re the best tag team today. We’re better than the Colons and much better than Henry and Jackson. Soon enough you will see the Hart Dynasty on top of the tag team division, holding the Tag Team Titles. Just wait and see.

The Hart Dynasty starts to walk away and run into the Colons. The two teams stare each other down and then the Hart Dynasty walks off as the Colons stare back at them.

The camera then cuts to Jim Ross and Todd Grisham at ringside.

Grisham: Things are starting to heat up in the tag team division now on all three brands. But what we’re going to talk about now is the huge announcement General Manger Theodore Long made last week on Smackdown.

JR: Last Friday Theodore Long announced that there was going to be a fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy, with the winner going onto Cyber Sunday for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Grisham: But before we look ahead to this Sunday, we need to find out who the participants will be, as they will be determined this week in four qualifying matches.

A graphic comes up on the screen showing the three matches for Smackdown this Friday.

JR: Well three of them will be this Friday on Smackdown. We will see the Undertaker verses Umaga, Kane verses Chris Jericho, and CM Punk verses Shelton Benjamin. Which of these men will go onto this Sunday’s match?

A graphic comes up on the screen showing the triple threat match for tonight.

Grisham: And the forth qualifying match will happen in just a few moments here on WWE Superstars. It will be Jeff Hardy verses Dolph Ziggler verses John Morrison. Who will be the first man to qualify for the number one contenders match? We’ll find out when we return to WWE Superstars here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Justin: The following contest is a qualifying match for a spot in the number one contenders match at No Mercy.

Dolph Ziggler’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: Introducing first, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 221 pounds, Dolph Ziggler.

Grisham: Welcome back to WWE Superstars and it’s now time for our main event of the night. The cocky Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring looking more confident than ever.

JR: Last Friday on Smackdown after Theodore Long announced the fatal four way number on contender match, Ziggler saying it’s about time he gets a shot at a high profile match and that it’s his destiny to win the World Title at Cyber Sunday after he wins the fatal four way at No Mercy.

Grisham: Ziggler picked up a huge win over Morrison after that announcement, which gave him some much needed momentum heading into this match. Ziggler claims we will never forget the name Dolph Ziggler. Will he be right after tonight?

John Morrison’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: From Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 219 pounds, John Morrison.

JR: And here comes yet another man who has a bright future ahead of him. Morrison is a main event waiting to happen.

Grisham: Well a win here will take him one step closer to a main event title match. At Unforgiven Morrison was so close to possibly winning the Scramble Match if it wasn’t for the interference by the Great Khali.

JR: He was so close to that World Title and I know Morrison will stop at nothing to finally win a World Title. Morrison has all the talent. Now he just needs the opportunity. Could this be Morrison’s big opportunity?

Jeff Hardy’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.

Grisham: And here comes a man who last year finally realized his dream and became the WWE Champion. Jeff’s title reign was cut short and I’m sure Jeff wants nothing more than to regain a world title.

JR: Jeff had his taste of World Championship gold and obviously he wants it again. With a win here, No Mercy could be his big chance at earning a shot at the World Title yet again.

Grisham: But no matter who wins tonight, No Mercy’s fatal four way match is going to be a tough one just because of the simple fact that it’s going to be a free-for-all between four hungry Smackdown superstars. Who will be the first to qualify for the number one contenders match?

Grisham: And Jeff Hardy becomes the first to qualify for the number one contenders match at No Mercy. Jeff was able to take out Morrison and took advantage of the opportunity and was able to get the victory over Ziggler.

JR: What a win by Jeff here tonight, but it’s going to take a lot of “right place at the right time” on Sunday just like tonight’s triple threat match. Any chance Jeff sees, he’s going to have to take if he wants to become the number one contender.

Grisham: No doubt a fatal four way match is very tough and unpredictable. It’s any man’s game at No Mercy. But who will join Jeff Hardy this Sunday? We will find out this Friday on Smackdown when we will have the other three qualifying matches. Thank you for joining us here for WWE Superstars on WGN America. Don’t forget to tune into Smackdown this Friday night and then No Mercy this Sunday live on pay per view. Goodnight.

Smackdown Preview:

With No Mercy just two days away, a lot can happen on Smackdown this week leading up to the pay per view. This Sunday we will see Edge defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Rey Mysterio. After receiving the 619 last week following his loss, how will the Rated R Superstar react? What will either of these two men have to say to do leading into their match this Sunday? Also after two losses, how will The Revolution react and what will they do? Will they get any closer to accomplishing their goal of taking over Smackdown?

Along with the World Title match, this Sunday we will see a fatal four way number one contenders match. General Manager Theodore Long made this huge announcement last week on Smackdown and made four qualifying matches for this week to see who will be involved in this match at No Mercy. Last night on WWE Superstars, Jeff Hardy became the first to qualify when he beat Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison in a triple threat match. Tonight on Smackdown we will see three more qualifying matches. It will be the Undertaker verses Umaga, Kane verses Chris Jericho, and CM Punk verses Shelton Benjamin. Which three men will join Jeff Hardy in this huge opportunistic match this Sunday?

All of this and more this week on Friday Night Smackdown on My Network TV.

Smackdown 10/2/09

WWE Signature Video shown

Recap video is shown from Smackdown last week. The video starts off with clips from Rey verses Khali. We see Khali catch Rey in the air and dump him to the outside. Khali beats up on Rey on the outside. The referee's count is at 7. Khali lifts Rey up and tosses him at one of the corner poles, but Rey is able to jump up grabbing onto the pole and swing himself back into the ring like a 619. The referee is at the count of 9. Khali tries to get into the ring but he doesn't make the 10 count. Rey runs up the ramp to avoid an enraged Khali. We then see Jericho and Edge interviewed. Jericho says, “Last week, we laid out the so called “Brothers of Destruction” and this week we will do the exact same thing.” Edge then says, “The ‘Brothers of Destruction’ don’t intimidate us at all. Tonight, we make examples out of Kane and Undertaker. Tonight they will feel the force of The Revolution.” We then see clips from the main event, Jericho & Edge verses Kane & Undertaker. We see Kane grab Jericho by the throat but Edge comes in. Kane tosses Jericho by his corner, boots Edge in the face and then lifts Edge up and tosses him over the top rope, to the floor. Kane goes by his corner and stalks Jericho for a Chokeslam. Undertaker gets on the apron and tags himself in. As Undertaker gets in the ring, Kane looks at him confused. Undertaker goes right after Jericho and hits him with the Tombstone Piledriver. The cover, 1…2…3 Undertaker and Kane win the match. Kane goes up to Undertaker confused and discusses the ending tag. Just then Edge and Khali get in the ring and attack Kane & Undertaker as they are talking. Rey Mysterio then comes down to the ring and starts attacking Edge. Undertaker and Kane perform a double Chokeslam on Khali. Jericho gets up and sees Undertaker and Kane surrounding him. Jericho quickly falls to the ground and rolls out of the ring. Rey sets Edge up on the second rope and connects with the 619. Jericho and Khali grab Edge from the outside and pull him out of the ring. Undertaker and Kane taunt in the ring. The video ends with Rey getting on the rope and signaling around his waist as Jericho and Khali carry Edge up the ramp and look back in disgust of what just happened.

Smackdown Opening Video is shown as “Let It Roll” by Divide The Day plays

Pyro goes off and the crowd goes wild

Grisham: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Friday Night Smackdown. We are just two days away from No Mercy and what a night we have in stored tonight.

JR: Last night on WWE Superstars we saw Jeff Hardy become the first man to qualify for the number one contenders match this Sunday. Tonight we will find out which three superstars will join him in that match. We will see the Undertaker verses Umaga, Kane verses Chris Jericho, and CM Punk verses Shelton Benjamin.

Grisham: Three huge qualifying matches there and all of them will impact the outlook of the pay per view this Sunday. Who will move onto the fatal four way number one contenders match at No Mercy? We’ll find out tonight.

“Smack Down” by Thousand Foot Krutch plays and the crowd boos

Justin: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Great Khali, Chris Jericho, and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge, The Revolution.

Grisham: And of course we start off the night with The Revolution coming out here.

JR: They can’t be too happy about what happened last week on Smackdown. The Great Khali lost to Rey Mysterio in the beginning of the night and then in the main event the Brothers of Destruction defeated The Revolution leaders Chris Jericho and Edge.

Grisham: Not to mention that after the match when they tried to beat down the Brothers of Destruction, Rey Mysterio came out and helped out Kane and Undertaker take control of The Revolution. Smackdown ended last week with a 619 to the World Heavyweight Champion. Could that be Edge’s fate this Sunday at No Mercy?

Edge, Chris Jericho, The Great Khali, and Ranjin Singh get in the ring. Jericho and Edge grab microphones.

Edge: Last week on Smackdown, The Revolution was a victim of circumstances and unfair treatment. Let’s start with Rey Mysterio’s “win” over The Great Khali. The Great Khali completely dominated Mysterio and could’ve ended the match anytime he wanted to. Somehow that little man was able to swing himself into the ring and all of a sudden the referee counts out The Great Khali. You shouldn’t be proud of that victory Rey. What kind of number one contender relies on count outs to win matches? Just to remind you Rey, at No Mercy a count out victory means nothing because I will still walk out as the World Heavyweight Champion. There are no shortcuts this Sunday. And just like every other time we’ve faced off for the World Title, I will end up victorious and walking out as the World Champion.

Jericho: And then we have our match against the “Brothers of Destruction” Kane and the Undertaker. First off that match shouldn’t have been made in the first place. But of course Theodore Long was too busy to hear us out. Teddy Long made that match for his own sick enjoyment. He wanted to see us involved in a brutal brawl and so did all of you germ invested parasites. And then as if the match wasn’t enough, after the match we get attacked by Kane, the Undertaker, and Rey Mysterio. We were in no condition to be fighting and the match was over. And what did our General Manager do about this? Nothing. He just allowed it to happen. Those three should be severely punished for their actions. We could have been injured if we weren’t smart enough to get out of the ring when we did. And with us injured, Smackdown is nothing and the whole show would fall apart. Teddy Long needs to stop pandering to all of you hypocrites and start taking care of his top superstars like us. But he won’t which is why we won’t stop until Theodore Long and his biased ways are gone from Smackdown forever.

Edge: And this Sunday at No Mercy, we will show everyone why we are the best in wrestling today when I retain my World Heavyweight Championship at No Mercy and Chris Jericho becomes the new number one contender after he obviously qualifies tonight against Kane.

Jericho: At Unforgiven I was screwed out of my victory against Kane by the Undertaker, but tonight I get the victory that I deserve and should’ve had at Unforgiven. Last week was a minor setback for us due to luck and biased decisions. The Revolution is the most dominant force in the WWE today and everyone should take notice. We cannot be stopped and will not stop until we take over Smackdown.

Just then Rey Mysterio’s music hits. Rey comes out on the titantron with a microphone as the crowd cheers.

Rey: You know, every single week we have to endure your speeches on how great you guys are and we’re all sick of it. Every week you guys come out here to complain about Teddy Long and say that the matches he puts you guys in are unfair. Let me tell you guys something. Theodore Long is not biased. All of this is in your heads. Edge, he treats you like he would treat any other World Champion. And Jericho, you get opportunities all the time. Two weeks ago you had the chance to become the number one contender, but unfortunately for you I beat you. Teddy Long had nothing to do with me beating you, I did. And both of your mouths get you two into more trouble than you should. You two talk about how you two are the best and feed your egos every week. And now this Revolution project. No one is going to join you guys and you know why? Because no one likes you guys and no one believes in your cause.

Edge: Listen here little man, you can’t talk to us like that. Chris Jericho and I are the best in the world today at what we do. And with the Great Khali by our side, we are unstoppable. Of course you don’t see Teddy Long’s biased ways. That’s because you’re one of his favorites that he protects. And opening up our mouths is the only way we avoid getting trampled on every week by Long and his biased stipulations. But this Sunday Rey when we face off for my World Title, Theodore Long can’t do anything. It’s all down to our abilities, which means that I will undoubtedly walk out still World Heavyweight Champion. But you think you’re such a big man right now, why don’t you come down to the ring and back your words up?

Just then CM Punk’s music hits. Punk comes out on the titantron with a microphone as the crowd cheers.

Punk: I couldn’t help overhearing your little discussion in the back and I thought I’d come out here and give my take on the situation. Edge, Jericho, every word Rey just said is true. Teddy Long is not a biased general manager. You two don’t care about anyone but yourselves. Everything that you two do is to make your lives easier and to ensure that you get what you want. It’s the reason why Khali is your body guard, right Edge? It isn’t to better his career. It’s so you had someone big at ringside who can fight your battles and help you retain your title, just like we saw at Unforgiven. If it wasn’t for Khali, you might not be champion right now. It’s the same reason why you two formed The Revolution. You want other to join your group so that they can make your lives that much easier and keep you at the top of the business. Isn’t that right? Well I came out here to put you guys in your place, and Rey if you don’t mind I’d like to take out the “Ego Trip” with you.

Jericho: Punk, what gives you the right to tell us what our motivations are for forming this group? This group isn’t like other groups where it will only benefit the leaders. This group is about helping out wrestlers who are kept down thanks to the biased and unfair ways of our General Manager Theodore Long. But you two wouldn’t know about that. You two along with others hide behind Theodore Long and do anything he says like the little puppets you are. You pander to all of these hypocrites and you strictly obey Theodore Long. And because people like Edge and I won’t stoop to that level we have to endure Long’s wrath of biased decisions towards us. So Punk, make all of the accusations you want but the fact is that unlike you guys, everything that we say is independent and factual.

Just then Jeff Hardy’s music hits. Jeff comes out on the titantron with a microphone as the crowd cheers.

Jeff: I couldn’t help but notice that it was two against three here, so I thought I’d come out here and even up the sides. Everything that Punk and Rey have said is true and exactly how many of us in the back feel about you guys. So since telling you guys doesn’t seem to get through to you, why don’t we beat it into you?

Jeff, Punk, and Rey start to walk to the ring when Theodore Long’s music plays. Long comes out on the titantron with a microphone.

Long: Hold on! Hold on! Stop right now. Now I’m not going to allow a free-for-all explode in that ring right now, especially with No Mercy being just two days away. Punk, Jericho, you two have qualifying matches tonight already, so I suggest you get in the back and get ready for them. Now as for the rest of you, since it looks like the four of you have issues and we don’t have a main event yet, I’m going to make a match. So tonight, in the main event, it will be The Great Khali and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge of The Revolution, taking on Jeff Hardy and the number one contender Rey Mysterio in a tag team match.

Jeff, Punk, and Rey seemed pleased with this and the three walk away pointing at The Revolution. In the ring, Edge looks furious at what Long just announced.

Edge: Are you kidding me? I’m two day away from defending my World Title. I shouldn’t be in a match tonight and I refuse to compete tonight.

Long: I don’t care what’s going down in two days. I need to give the Smackdown audience and great main event tonight and that’s exactly what’s going to happen. So Edge you will compete tonight whether you like it or not. Now please get out of the ring so we can start Smackdown.

Long walks backstage as The Revolution gets out of the ring pissed off.

Grisham: Edge is not happy about Long putting him in the main event tonight.

Umaga’s music plays and the crowd boos. Umaga makes his way down the ramp to the ring as The Revolution makes their way up the ramp.

JR: And here comes the Samoan Bulldozer, getting ready for our opening contest here on Smackdown.

Umaga stops as he passes The Revolution, which makes The Revolution stop. Umaga stares them down and then continues to walk to the ring.

Grisham: Umaga staring down The Revolution. I don’t know what to make of that. Well coming up next, it’s Umaga verses the Undertaker for a spot in the fatal four way number one contenders match this Sunday. We’ll be right back with more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Umaga’s music is playing and the crowd boos him as he stands in the ring waiting

Justin: The following contest is a qualifying match for a spot in the number one contenders match at No Mercy. In the ring, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 350 pounds, Umaga.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown. The “Samoan Bulldozer” Umaga in the ring right now getting ready for his qualifying match against the Undertaker.

JR: This could be a big opportunity for Umaga here. But will Umaga be able to take out the Dead Man?

Undertaker’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And his opponent, from Death Valley, weighing in at 299 pounds, the Undertaker.

Grisham: And here comes the Phemon himself, the Undertaker. Three weeks ago we saw the Undertaker return at Unforgiven when he took out Chris Jericho.

JR: Undertaker had returned from his absence after his amazing match against Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. But now the Dead Man looks to once again become the World Champion.

Grisham: And win here tonight will send Undertaker in the direction of the World Title. But Undertaker cannot look past Umaga here tonight, even after his huge win last week in the main event.

Spot In The #1 Contendership Match at No Mercy
Undertaker vs. Umaga

-The match is a back and forth contest. Towards the end Umaga is in control. Umaga has Undertaker in the corner and is hammering away at him with right fists to the head. Umaga hits a nice trust uppercut on Undertaker which sends Undertaker to the floor, sitting in the corner. Umaga backs up and taunts. Umaga runs at Undertaker and goes for his running hip attack but Undertaker moves just in time. Undertaker connects with a boot to the face of Umaga which sends Umaga back into the corner. Undertaker connects with rapid fire body blows, finishing off with a blow to the head. Undertaker tosses Umaga in the opposite corner. Undertaker runs at Umaga and connects with a clothesline in the corner. Umaga stumbles out of the corner. Undertaker picks him up and delivers snake eyes to him. Undertaker runs off the ropes for a big boot but Umaga ducks. Undertaker turns around right into a thrust kick by Umaga. The cover, 1...2...Undertaker kicks out. Umaga lifts Undertaker up and tosses him off the ropes. As Undertaker comes back Umaga lifts him and hits a samoan drop. Umaga goes to the second rope, taunts, and then hits a diving headbutt. The cover, 1...2...Undertaker kicks out. Umaga grabs Undertaker on the ground by the throat and taunts for the Samoan Spike. Undertaker grabs Umaga's arm and goes for Hells Gates but Umaga is able to block it. Undertaker gets back to his feet and Umaga goes for a clothesline but Undertaker ducks. Umaga turns around into Undertaker grabbing him by the throat. Umaga quickly smashes down the arm of the Undertaker. Umaga headbutts Undertaker and then kicks him in the face. Undertaker stumbles backward off the ropes and then back to Umaga. Umaga goes for the Samoan Spike but Undertaker catches his arm. Undertaker lifts Umaga up for a Tombstone but Umaga quickly slides off the back. Umaga grabs Undertaker and goes for the Samoan Spike again but Undertaker ducks it. Umaga turns around into Undertaker grabbing him by the throat and delivering a Chokeslam. The cover, 1...2...3 Undertaker wins.
Winner: Undertaker

Justin: Here is your winner, the Undertaker.

JR: What a win by the Undertaker. He now joins Jeff Hardy at No Mercy in the number one contenders match. After his win last week, pinning Jericho in the main event tag match and this win here tonight, Undertaker has a lot of momentum going into No Mercy this Sunday.

Grisham: Don’t forget, we still have two more qualifying matches to come here tonight. Who will join Jeff Hardy and the Undertaker?

As Undertaker is walking up the ramp, he turns around and looks back at the ring and the fans. Just then Chris Jericho comes out and attacks Undertaker with a chair.

JR: What the hell is Chris Jericho doing?

Jericho hits Undertaker a few more times with the chair.

Grisham: Chris Jericho just took out the Undertaker with those vicious chair shots. Jericho’s gone too far.

Jericho stands on the titantron looking at the fallen Undertaker with a grin on his face.

JR: Look at him. Jericho is so proud of what he did. I hope he’s happy.

Grisham: But how smart was that? Now the Undertaker is even madder at Chris Jericho which is not a good thing for Jericho. Jericho better watch his back. Well still to come tonight, two more qualifying matches for the number one contenders match. We’ll see this man Chris Jericho take on the Undertaker’s brother Kane, and we’ll also see Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk facing off against the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin.

JR: And don’t forget about our huge tag team main event. It’s The World Champion Edge and his body guard The Great Khali taking on the team of Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio. All of that and more still to come here on Friday Night Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see Chris Jericho walking back from the ring. A reporter catches up to him.

Reporter: Chris Jericho, moments ago we witnessed you assaulting the Undertaker with a steel chair on the ramp. Why did you do this?

Jericho: Why? Why? Why not? Ever since the Undertaker has made his return to Smackdown at Unforgiven, he’s made it his personal mission to make my life a living hell. For some reason he’s mad at me.

Reporter: I think he’s mad because of all the insults you directed at him.

Jericho: Who said you could talk? I didn’t ask for your opinion. Shut up and listen to me. Now tonight I have my qualifying match against Kane in a rematch from Unforgiven. And at Unforgiven the Undertaker cost me my match against his brother. Whether it was to help his brother or just against me it doesn’t matter. The fact is that I don’t want history to repeat itself. And since I know I can’t rely on Theodore Long doing something about it, I took matters into my own hands. I attacked the Undertaker so that he wouldn’t physically be able to come out and cost me my match. And now with Undertaker taken care of I can go into my match with a clear head, beat Kane like I should’ve at the last pay per view, and go onto No Mercy this Sunday to become the new number one contender for the World Title.

Jericho walks away

JR: Well at least we got a reason for his actions, but that still doesn’t excuse Jericho for attacking Undertaker like that.

Grisham: But it looks like Jericho will get his wish and have a match against Kane without having to worry about the Undertaker coming out.

Backstage we see Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy in the locker room getting ready for their match.

Rey: Ok so we’ve got our strategy down. Are you ready for this?

Jeff: Of course I am. Anytime I get to beat that punk Edge, I’m always ready.

John Morrison then comes in.

Rey: Hey John.

Morrison: Hey Rey. Hey Jeff.

Jeff: Hey man. Look, I hope there’s no hard feeling about last night’s match.

Morrison: Of course not. You were just trying to win. But just a little side note, you did pin Dolph Ziggler and not me. But anyway, congratulations Jeff and good luck on Sunday in the fatal four way. And good luck to you too Rey against Edge.

Rey: Thanks. Hopefully I can that that title off of him and show him and Jericho that I not only deserve to be number one contender but the World Champion.

Morrison: I know you can do it, but just watch out for The Great Khali. I know first hand how effective he can be in Edge’s title matches. But I heard what you guys said earlier tonight and saw how you stood up to The Revolution. I wanted to let you guys know that I’m with you guys one hundred percent against The Revolution and if you need help, I’ve got your back.

Jeff: Thanks John. We need all the help we can get to put an early end to this Revolution.

CM Punk then comes in.

Punk: I wouldn’t worry too much about The Revolution or the “Ego Trip.” They stand no chance against the rest of the Smackdown roster. No one on the roster likes them or can stand them and no one seems to believe in their cause. This is nothing more than those two inflating their egos even more and just complaining about every little thing that happens to them. With all of us along with the Undertaker and Kane wanting to tear apart Chris Jericho, I don’t foresee The Revolution lasting too long around here. Well I’d love to stay and talk but I have to go get ready for my qualifying match. I’ll see you guys later.

Rey: Ok Punk. See you later.

Punk leaves the locker room while Rey, Jeff, and Morrison sit their talking strategy.

JR: Well Punk seems quite confident that The Revolution won’t last much longer, but is he right?

Grisham: We’ll have to wait and find out. But up next we have Chris Jericho facing Kane in another qualifying match-up, when we return to Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Justin: The following contest is a qualifying match for a spot in the number one contenders match at No Mercy.

Chris Jericho’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: Introducing first, from Manhasset, New York, weighing in at 226 pounds, Chris Jericho.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown and we are getting ready for another qualifying match. Chris Jericho walking down to the ring looking very confident.

JR: The reason for the confidence is because earlier tonight he took out the Undertaker by attacking him after his match with a steel chair. Jericho explained that he did this to prevent Undertaker from interfering like he did at Unforgiven in his match against Kane.

Grisham: Whether you agree with it or not it’s a smart strategy on the part of Jericho to make sure Undertaker can’t interfere, but I think he went about it in the wrong way. But Jericho shouldn’t be too confident because of course he’s facing the Big Red Machine Kane.

Kane’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And his opponent, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane.

JR: And here’s the Big Red Monster now. Defeating Kane is no easy task, but Jericho just feels that without Undertaker as a factor he has this match in the bag.

Grisham: Jericho thinks that because at Unforgiven when these two first met, Jericho thought he had the win over Kane until the Undertaker turned the lights out on him. But Kane looks fired up and ready to go.

JR: These two have had a great rivalry over the past month or so. Last week we saw Kane and his brother the Undertaker defeat Chris Jericho and Edge in the main event. That could give Kane some extra momentum in this match.

Spot In The #1 Contendership Match at No Mercy
Kane vs. Chris Jericho

-The match is an even contest. Towards the end Kane is in control. Kane throws Jericho off the ropes and as Jericho comes back Kane hits him with a sidewalk slam. The cover, 1...2...Jericho kicks out. Kane lifts Jericho up and onto his shoulder. Jericho starts elbowing Kane in the head until he releases the grip and Jericho slides off his shoulder. Jericho kicks at the back of Kane's left leg. Jericho then ropes off the ropes and connects with a dropkick to Kane's left leg, which takes Kane down. Jericho kicks away at Kane's leg and then turns Kane over for a half boston crab. Kane crawls and makes his way to the ropes. Jericho slaps the head of Kane as he starts to get up. Kane gets angry by this and shoves Jericho off the ropes. Kane goes for a big boot but Jericho slides under it. Jericho gets back up and connects with a bulldog on Kane. Jericho springboards off the ropes and connects with the Lionsault on Kane. The cover, 1...2...Kane kicks out. Jericho stalks Kane as he gets back up. Jericho goes for the Codebreaker but Kane catches him and slams him into the corner turnbuckle. Jericho stumbles out and gets hit with a huge uppercut by Kane. Kane then goes up top and connects with a diving clothesline to Jericho. the cover, 1...2...Jericho kicks out. Kane lifts Jericho up and grabs him by the throat but Jericho kicks Kane's left leg again. Jericho trips Kane to the ground and goes for the Walls Of Jericho but Jericho can't turn Kane over. Kane is able to fight it and kicks Jericho off but Jericho hits into the referee and knocks him down. Kane gets up and Jericho connects quickly with an enzuguiri. Jericho looks down at the referee and then goes to the outside. Jericho gets a chair and brings it into the ring. Jericho goes to hit Kane with it but Kane grabs Jericho by the throat. Jericho low blows Kane, picks up the chair, and hits him with it in the head. Jericho goes to hit Kane again when all of a sudden the lights go out. The lights come back on and Undertaker is standing behind Jericho. Jericho turns around and Undertaker grabs Jericho by the throat. Undertaker brings and chokes Jericho in the corner with an evil look in his eyes. The referee starts to move, looks up and sees Undertaker choking Jericho so he rings the bell for the disqualification.
Winner: Chris Jericho (via DQ)

Justin: Here is your winner by Disqualification, Chris Jericho.

Undertaker hears the bell ring, turns around, and lets go of Jericho in shock.

JR: Undertaker looks to be in shock of the decision. I think he thought the referee was still down.

Grisham: That definitely caught Undertaker off guard, especially since he didn’t really do anything to Jericho yet.

Undertaker goes up to the referee but the referee runs out of the ring scared. Undertaker turns around and sees Jericho running up the ramp holding his arm up in victory.

JR: Nonetheless the disqualification happened, causing Jericho to officially win the match. Jericho now will join Undertaker and Jeff Hardy at No Mercy in the number one contenders match.

Undertaker looks on at Jericho furious. Kane slowly gets up with a confused look on his face.

Grisham: Kane seems really confused about what just happened and why Undertaker is even out here.

JR: Kane kind of got screwed out of his chance to go to No Mercy by his brother, but Undertaker did save Kane from Jericho beating him with a chair. But it looks like Undertaker may be more concerned with taking out Jericho than saving his brother.

Grisham: I’m still surprised Undertaker is out here after the attack earlier by Chris Jericho. Jericho’s original plan backfired but he did end up with the win this time around. Well we know three of the men in the number one contenders match and now we have one more slot to fill. It will be CM Punk and Shelton Benjamin fighting for that final spot later on tonight. And also don’t forget our huge main event tonight. It’s Edge and The Great Khali verse Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio. Stay tuned for more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Michelle McCool’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: The following divas tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, the team of Alicia Fox and Michelle McCool.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown as we get ready for diva action. Michelle McCool and her protégé Alicia Fox making their way to the ring.

JR: Michelle has an attitude that you don’t usually see from divas and that attitude has taken her to become the first ever Diva’s Champion. Michelle will bring it and does what she needs to do to succeed.

Grisham: We’ve seen Michelle make a huge impact here on Smackdown in the last few years and has taken Alicia under her wing to show her the ropes. And Michelle’s recent goal is to become the first diva to ever hold both the Women’s and Diva’s Championships and she’s still determined to do that.

Melina’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And their opponents, Maria and the Women’s Champion Melina.

JR: Speaking of the Women’s Champion here she comes along with her partner for tonight, the lovely Maria.

Grisham: Melina is determined to keep that Women’s Title and so far has been successful in retaining it in her title defenses against Michelle McCool. Do you think the losses can be getting to Michelle?

JR: Yes I think they definitely are, but not in a negative way. I think the losses are making Michelle angrier and hungrier for the Women’s Title which is not good for Melina.

Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox vs. Melina & Maria
-The match is an even tag match. Towards the end, Michelle and Maria are the two legal divas. Michelle is in control and is taking it to Maria. Michelle hits a scoop slam on Maria and then drops and elbow to her chest. Michelle drags Maria over to her corner and tags in Alicia. Winners: Michelle McCool & Alicia Fox

Justin: Here are your winners, Alicia Fox and Michelle McCool.

Grisham: Michelle and Alicia pick up the win here tonight. This is big for Michelle getting a win over the Women’s Champion.

JR: Any win, whether it be a tag team win or singles victory, against a champion is a huge deal. This could send Michelle on the path to another Women’s Title shot.

Alicia lifts Maria up and Michelle delivers a boot to her face.

Grisham: Oh my god. What a boot to Maria. But come on, the match is over.

Melina runs in and attacks Alicia from behind, but Michelle grabs Melina off of her and starts stomping on her.

JR: Melina trying to come to the rescue of her friend, but the numbers game catches up to her.

Michelle sets Melina up and delivers the Faith Breaker to her.

Grisham: And Michelle connects with the Faith Breaker to the Women’s Champion. This is enough now.

Alicia grabs the Women’s Championship and gives it to Michelle. Michelle holds the title high over her head as she stands over a fallen Melina.

JR: Michelle has sent a direct message to Melina that she wants that Women’s Title. I told you Todd, Michelle is getting angrier and more aggressive, which is not good for the Women’s Champion.

Grisham: Well with this impressive showing here tonight it may not be long before Michelle gets another shot at the Women’s Title. Still to come tonight is our main event. It’s The Great Khali and the World Champion Edge taking on Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio. We’ll be right back with more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage in a dark area we see Kane go up to the Undertaker

Kane: Undertaker. Why did you do what you just did? Why did you interfere in my match against Chris Jericho?

Undertaker: I was just trying to help out my brother and get some revenge on Chris Jericho like we both wanted.

Kane: I didn’t need help. I had Jericho under control by myself. And now thanks to you causing the disqualification I’m not in the number one contenders match at No Mercy with you.

Undertaker: Don’t worry. We’ll get back at Jericho and the Revolution soon enough and we’ll beat him just like we did last week.

Kane: Did you even just hear what I said? And speaking of last week, why did you tag yourself in the match at end when I had everything under control and the match won?

Undertaker: Look, I was dazed getting back to the corner and I just got caught up in the moment. I saw Jericho was just about finished and I wanted to make him suffer myself. Don’t forget, I want to take out Jericho just as much as you do. He disrespected the both of us and for that I’ll make him Rest…In…Peace!

Undertaker walks away as Kane stares off at his brother.

Grisham: Not exactly the answer Kane was looking for. He’s not too happy about that DQ ending.

JR: No but I think he realizes that Undertaker was just trying to help and didn’t mean to cost him the match.

Backstage we see Edge, Chris Jericho, The Great Khali, and Ranjin Singh in the locker room. Edge is pacing around looking worried and angry.

Jericho: Take it easy Edge.

Edge: I can’t. You heard Teddy Long. I have to compete tonight in the main event just two nights away from defending my World Title. Two nights! You know things like this make be glad we started this group and I can’t wait until we take over Smackdown and kick Theodore Long out for good.

Jericho: Look Edge, you know as well as I do that Teddy Long isn’t going to change the match for tonight, so we have to make due with what we’ve got. Now I already won my qualifying match tonight against Kane which means I’m in the number one contenders match at No Mercy, which is exactly what we wanted. Now as far as tonight goes, just let Khali here take care of everything. I’m sure this giant dominating force can handle the unstable Jeff Hardy and the puny little pest known as Rey Mysterio. So clear you head and go out there and show Teddy Long that we can beat his system.

Jericho goes over to Edge and puts his hand on his shoulder.

Jericho: And as far as No Mercy goes, it’s going to be the pay per view where The Revolution shows what it can really do. I have a good feeling about this Sunday. Now let’s go take care of some business now.

Edge: You’re right Chris. This Sunday will be our night. After No Mercy, everyone will see how big of a threat we are and that we’re not a joke. Now let’s go.

They all start to leave the locker room.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Justin: The following contest is a qualifying match for a spot in the number one contenders match at No Mercy.

Shelton Benjamin’s music plays and the crowd boos

Justin: Introducing first, from Orangeburg, South Carolina, weighing in at 248 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion, The Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin.

Grisham: Welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown and it’s time for our final qualifying match for the number one contenders match at No Mercy. The Gold Standard makes his way to the ring and this could be a big opportunity for Shelton Benjamin.

JR: Every since he gained a new found attitude last month, Shelton has been more impressive each week and has improved so much. And after he won the Intercontinental Title from Rey Mysterio, Shelton has been just that much better and is getting so close to the spot light.

Grisham: I have to agree with you there. I think beating Rey at Unforgiven and learning respect has really put Shelton on the map as a star. Let’s see if he can keep things rolling and move onto the number one contenders match.

CM Punk’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.

JR: But first Shelton is going to have to beat this man. The two time Money In The Bank winner and former World Champion, CM Punk.

Grisham: This will not be an easy task for the Intercontinental Champion. Last week we saw CM Punk and Jeff Hardy pick up the victory over Shelton Benjamin and Umaga. Will that loss have any effect on Shelton Benjamin mentally for this match?

JR: It just may, but Shelton needs to forget about last week and stay focused on tonight as does CM Punk. Who will be the final competitor in the fatal four way at No Mercy? We’re about to find out now.

Spot In The #1 Contendership Match at No Mercy

The cover, 1...2...3 Punk wins.
Winner: CM Punk

Justin: Here is your winner, CM Punk.

Grisham: And CM Punk picks up the win and the last spot in the number one contenders match.

JR: Punk will now join Jeff Hardy, the Undertaker, and Chris Jericho this Sunday in a fatal four way match to determine who will become the new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Grisham: But what a great match. Both men so evenly matched that it took a pin attempt from out of no where for Punk to win. Shelton has nothing to be ashamed of.

Shelton slowly gets to his feet and goes up to Punk.

Grisham: Uh oh. How’s Shelton going to react to this loss?

Shelton looks at Punk and then slowly extends his hand to Punk.

JR: It looks like Shelton wants Punk to shake his hand.

Punk looks confused and apprehensive at first but then goes in and shakes Shelton’s hand. Punk lifts Shelton’s arm up and pats him on the back before leaving the ring.

JR: Wow what a sign of respect showed by both men. We saw Shelton shake Rey’s hand after their match at Unforgiven and said it was a sign of respect for the match they had. That’s exactly what happened here and it shows not only the sportsmanship of Shelton but also his growth as a person.

Grisham: It’s always nice to see two superstars show that kind of respect, especially after a great match like we just saw. Well still to come tonight is out main event match where we will see Edge and The Great Khali take on the team of Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back with more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

“Scream” by Adelitas Way plays in the background as the album cover is shown on the screen.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and you are listening to “Scream” by Adelitas Way off their new self-titled debut album, available now. We’d like to thank Adelitas Way for the official theme song for No Mercy, and speaking of No Mercy it’s just two days away.

JR: That’s right Todd and what a night it’s going to be this Sunday. We’ll see a fatal four way match for the number one contendership to the World Heavyweight Championship. Last week on Smackdown, General Manager Theodore Long announced this match would take place at No Mercy and made four qualifying matches between the Smackdown superstars to see who would fight in this huge match. We’ve had all four qualifying matches and we now know all four competitors. It will be Jeff Hardy verses the Undertaker verses Chris Jericho verses CM Punk for the World Title shot at Cyber Sunday. Who will walk out this Sunday as the new number one contender?

Grisham: And that’s not all. This Sunday we will see Edge defend his World Heavyweight Championship against the number one contender Rey Mysterio. Two weeks ago on Smackdown, Theodore Long made two battle royals and had the winners face off in the main event for the number one contendership. Rey Mysterio ended up beating Chris Jericho and earned his title shot. And in the past two weeks we’ve seen so much from these two men. Two weeks ago we saw Edge take out Rey with a Spear and last week Rey sent Edge flying with a 619 to end the night.

JR: And don’t forget the formation of The Revolution. That has been a major factor in this feud and could be a major factor this Sunday in the World Title match. Rey needs to watch his back at all times. Will Rey fulfill his goal of once again becoming World Champion or will Edge keep his title reign going? We’ll find out this Sunday at No Mercy, live on pay per view.

Backstage we see Edge, The Great Khali, and Ranjin Singh outside the locker room.

Edge: Alright, are you ready?

Ranjin: The Great Khali says he’s ready for tonight.

Just then Chris Jericho comes out of the locker room and walks up to them.

Edge: So?

Jericho: It’s looking good right now.

Edge: Perfect. Guys, this is the start of something great. The Revolution will succeed. I guarantee it. Now let’s go.

JR: What was that all about? And what was Jericho doing in that locker room?

Grisham: I have no idea but hopefully we find out soon. They seem to have something up their sleeve. Anyway, our main event is up next. It’s The Great Khali and the World Champion Edge taking on Jeff Hardy and the number one contender Rey Mysterio when we return to Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Jeff Hardy’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.

Grisham: welcome back to Friday Night Smackdown and it’s time for our main event. The Extreme Enigma Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring and Jeff has to be looking forward to this Sunday.

JR: Jeff Hardy was the first man to qualify for the number one contenders match last night on WWE Superstars and he will get a huge opportunity this Sunday. We saw Jeff Hardy come out in the beginning of the night to back up Rey and Punk against The Revolution, leading this match here tonight.

Grisham: Jeff has had his issues with Edge in the past and wanted to shut him and Jericho up just as badly as Punk and Rey did.

Rey Mysterio’s music plays and the crowd cheers

Justin: His partner, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 175 pounds, Rey Mysterio.

Grisham: And here’s the man who started the whole trend tonight, Rey Mysterio. Rey had heard enough and had to come out to set The Revolution straight. Punk and Jeff soon followed and it would have led to a brawl if Theodore Long didn’t stop them.

JR: And we also saw backstage that John Morrison is with those three as well on taking out The Revolution. But this Sunday, Rey may not be thinking about taking out The Revolution when he faces Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Grisham: Two weeks ago on Smackdown, Rey had a whole new set of goals. He got off to a good start by becoming the number one contender that night and now looks to win the World Title for the second time at No Mercy in two days. Can Rey do it?

“Smack Down” by Thousand Foot Krutch plays and the crowd boos

Justin: And their opponents, being accompanied by Ranjin Singh, at a combined weight of 670 pounds, The Great Khali and the World Heavyweight Champion Edge, The Revolution.

JR: And here come the cocky World Champion now with his massive body guard. We saw Edge was furious earlier about this match, but Chris Jericho seemed to have calmed him down now and got his head back in the game.

Grisham: Edge was pissed that Theodore Long put him in a match two days away from his title defense, but I think it’s fair since Rey Mysterio is also in the match. But don’t be surprised if you see Khali in this match most of the time or some trickery by The Revolution.

JR: Well you know what I want to know? What were Jericho and Edge talking about before the commercial break? We still have no idea.

Grisham: Knowing those two it could be anything at all. They always have something up their sleeve.

Edge & The Great Khali vs. Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy
-The match is a back and forth tag team contest. Towards the end, Edge and Rey are the two legal men. Edge tosses Rey off the ropes, but Rey comes back with a headscissors takedown. Edge rolls over towards his corner quickly and tags in Khali. Rey runs at Khali, but Khali just shoves Rey away. Rey comes back and dropkicks Khali’s leg, which takes him down to a knee. Rey runs off the ropes and at Khali, but Khali gets up and delivers a huge chop to the head of Rey. Khali lifts Rey up and tosses him into the corner. Khali goes over to Rey in the corner and delivers a huge chop to the chest of Rey. Khali lifts Rey up and delivers a delayed scoop slam to him. Khali grabs Rey, lifts him in the air and delivers a massive headbutt. The cover, 1…2…Rey kicks out. Khali lifts Rey up and has him by the throat. In the corner, Edge is telling Khali that he wants the tag. Khali tosses Rey over to their corner and tags in Edge. Edge gets in and starts to punch away at Rey. Edge grabs Rey and delivers a suplex. Edge gets up and taunts around, acting so proud of himself. Edge goes back to Rey and goes to lift him up but Rey starts punching away at the mid-section of Edge. Rey goes for a kick, but Edge catches his foot. Rey then kicks Edge in the head with the other foot for an enzuguiri. Rey crawls to Jeff, but Edge grabs Rey’s foot right before he’s about to get the tag and pulls him back. Edge pulls Rey to his corner and tags in Khali. Khali grabs Rey’s foot as Rey stands up. Khali shoves Rey off the ropes by his foot. Khali goes for a spin kick to Rey, but Rey ducks and then takes out the other leg of Khali. Rey crawls over to his corner and finally tags in Jeff. Jeff gets in and starts kicking away at the legs of Khali. Jeff runs off the ropes and connects with a dropkick to the chest of Khali, which make Khali stumble a bit backwards. Jeff goes for a crossbody but Khali catches him and then tosses him to the ground. Khali goes over to Jeff to pick him up, but Jeff chops away at his legs again. Jeff then runs up the nearby corner and connects with the Whisper In The Wind which manages to knock Khali down. Jeff taunts and then starts to go to the top rope. Jeff sets up but Edge comes in the ring and knocks Jeff off the ropes. Rey then runs in and starts attacking Edge with a flurry of punches and kicks. Jeff and Khali then start to brawl as well in the ring. The referee tries to separate all of them and restore order in the match, but he has no luck in doing so. The referee has no choice but to ring the bell and rule this match a no contest.
Winner: No Contest

JR: And it looks like the referee has called this to a no contest due to him losing control.

Grisham: I think that was the right move but it’s not going to stop this brawl.

Rey and Jeff get Khali caught in the ropes and then turn their attention to Edge.

JR: Oh no. Khali’s trapped in the ropes and Edge has no one out there to protect him right now from Mysterio and Hardy.

Rey gets Edge with a drop toehold which sets Edge up on the second rope.

Grisham: Could we see a 619 on Edge two weeks in a row?

Rey looks like he’s about to go for the 619, but Chris Jericho comes out and attacks him before he can.

JR: And of course here comes Chris Jericho to save his partner.

Jericho then attacks Jeff as Edge gets up and attacks Rey. Jericho and Edge get Khali out of the ropes and the three of them attack Rey and Jeff.

Grisham: And now the numbers game catches up to Rey and Jeff as The Revolution takes control.

Just then, CM Punk and John Morrison run down to the ring and attack The Revolution.

JR: Wait a minute. It looks like the tables are about to turn on The Revolution.

Grisham: Morrison and Punk coming out to help their friends and turn the odds in their favor.

Punk and Morrison clothesline Khali out of the ring, Jeff dropkicks Jericho out of the ring, and Rey delivers a hurricanrana to Edge that sends him out of the ring.

JR: And there goes The Revolution, right out of the ring.

Punk, Morrison, Rey, and Jeff tell The Revolution to bring it but they just walk backwards up the ramp.

Grisham: And they’re not done. Punk, Morrison, Rey, and Jeff want more of The Revolution.

JR: But The Revolution wants nothing to do with them.

Just then, the lights go out and fire goes off on the titantron. The Revolution turns around and sees the Undertaker and Kane standing on the titantron waiting for them.

Grisham: Well it looks like they’re not going to escape that easily.

JR: Undertaker and Kane cut The Revolution off. There’s no where to go for them.

The Revolution goes over to the barricade and escapes through the crowd.

Grisham: The Revolution finds a way to escape but this thing is far from over.

The Revolution escapes looking surprised and scared as the rest of them look on at them ready to fight.

JR: That’s right. All six men are ready to tear them apart. Can The Revolution possibly overcome this huge obstacle?

Grisham: Thank you for joining us tonight for Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV. Don’t forget to order No Mercy this Sunday live on pay per view. Goodnight everyone.
