ECW Preview:
With Unforgiven only 5 days away, the ECW Superstars get ready for the huge Scramble Match for the ECW Championship. This week on ECW, we will hear from each of the five participants as they will all be on the ECW Champion’s show the Peep Show. What will they all have to say about the unique and unpredictable match? Also this week on ECW we will see the Hart Dynasty’s Tyson Kidd take on the Fight Irishman Finlay. Last week, the Hart Dynasty’s David Hart Smith and Natalya picked up victories. Can Tyson Kidd keep the winning run going in the Canadian group? Or will Finlay add on from his victory last week against Mark Henry? Tune into ECW on SyFy for all of this and more.

WWE Superstars Preview:
Three days before the pay per view Unforgiven we will see a lot happen. From ECW, we will see two participants in the Scramble Match face off, as Evan Bourne takes on Paul Burchill. Which one of these men can gain extra momentum going into this Sunday for the ECW Title? From Raw, we will see Chavo Guerrero take on one half of the Tag Team Champions Carlito. Carlito may be the Tag Team Champion, but he wants to show he still has it as a singles wrestler, where Chavo wants to redeem himself after losing to Randy Orton a few weeks ago. And from Smackdown comes our main event for the night. It’ll be Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk going one-on-one with Chris Jericho. Just days before their big matches, both men would love to score a victory here on WWE Superstars. Will Punk gain momentum going into the Scramble Match or will Jericho gain momentum towards his match against the Big Red Machine Kane? Be sure to tune into WWE Superstars on WGN America.

Review!!!

It's time. It's time! It's REVIEW TIME!

Segment 1 Good to see these two underappreciated athletes get the nod here. You seem to have a lot of guys having matches with no real feuds developing in the midcard. ***/*****

Segment 2 These three seem to be out of character. However, what transpired was interesting. I don’t suspect Legacy to stay apart. ***

Segment 3 Meh…they didn’t really prove anything did they? They beat on a midget. Good for you guys. **

Segment 4 Surprise, surprise. These two are feuding in my thread as well. The Diva’s division is stale. You did what you could though. ***

Segment 5 Now THERE’S a statement. I like the new ruthless Legacy. But why no match? You should’ve had Orton finish Kennedy off with one move and then a pin. That would’ve been epic. ****

Segment 6 Wow. Pretty cool. First off Regal is tossed to the wolves. Disappointing. I like Regal and hate to see him job to Big Dave. But what happened next was cool. Typical Batista stuff at first. But then an INSPIRED promo by Matt. The stuff he was saying was true, and I feel like he could say that in real life. I’m loving this feud. ****

Segment 7 I was pissed when Cena won. But then it was to show that he’d be taken out first in the free for all that ensued. I knew Legacy would stick together. Nice little lead into the Scramble. ***

Overall Good show. Awesome bits and pieces. I’m feeling this. ***

Default Re: AMRocky25 Presents: WWE - The Future

Thanks for the review. I thought I'd explain a few things here. Right now I'm just getting started so I'm focusing on building up my main event feuds, but mid card feuds will eventually build up more. Yeah I'm not a big fan of writing about the divas either but I'm trying to make the best of it. Regal was kinda just pulled at random, but I'll try to use him better down the road when establish more feuds. The reason I didn't have the match with Kennedy & Orton was because Kennedy is sort of "injured" after the attack and Orton was just confused at Priceless doing what they did. I'm glad you're liking the Batista/Matt Hardy feud and Legacy being built strong.

Anyway, ECW & WWE Superstars will be posted either later today or tomorrow (most likely tomorrow). Thanks everyone for reading and the reviews.

ECW 9/8/09
ECW Opening Video is shown
Recap video shows. It shows clips of the handicap match from last week. It shows Burchill, Swagger, & Kozlov standing tall after winning and then Kozlov attacking Swagger after the match
Pyro goes off as the crowd goes wild

Mathews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to ECW here on SyFy. I’m Josh Mathews along side Matt Striker. And Matt, we’re only five days away from Unforgiven.
Striker: That’s right Josh. In just five days live on pay per view, every brand’s World Title will be defended in a Scramble Match. And tonight, we might get a little preview of ECW’s Scramble Match on the Peep Show.
Mathews: Christian returns with the Peep Show tonight and his guests are none other than the four challengers he will face at Unforgiven with his ECW Title on the line.
Striker: That’ll be later on tonight. I can’t wait to see what everyone has to say about this Sunday.

Ezekiel Jackson’s music hits and the crowd boos
Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Harlem, New York, weighing in at 305 pounds, Ezekiel Jackson.

Mathews: Well here comes Ezekiel Jackson. We’ve seen Big Zeke in the past, usually by the side of The Brian Kendrick, but the draft split them up.
Striker: I think it’ll be better for Big Zeke’s career. He’ll finally get to show us what he’s made of instead of just being a body guard. Tonight, we get our first glimpse at Ezekiel Jackson here on ECW.

Ezekiel Jackson vs. Jobber
-A very quick squash match. Zeke charges at the jobber right from the beginning and sends him flying. Zeke does a few power moves to show his strength and ability to the crowd. Zeke toys with him until he decides it’s time to end it. He lifts the jobber up and delivers a forceful Uranage. Zeke goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Zeke wins.
Winner: Ezekiel Jackson

Chimel: Here is your winner, Ezekiel Jackson.

Striker: A quick, yet impressive win.
Mathews: Jackson just destroyed that young man. He’s going to be a new force to watch for here on ECW.
Striker: I see tons of promise in Big Zeke.

Backstage we are in Dreamer’s office with him & Tiffany when Christian comes in

Dreamer: Hey Christian.
Christian: Hey Tommy. Hi Tiffany.
Dreamer: Is everything ready for tonight?
Christian: The Peep Show is set and ready for action. All the guests have been informed again and I’m ready to host.
Dreamer: Ok, but are you sure this is a good idea?
Christian: Yeah, we’re just getting everyone’s views on the Scramble Match this Sunday.
Dreamer: I hope you know what you’re doing.
Christian: Don’t worry about it. The Peep Show won’t disappoint.

Mathews: The Peep Show is ready for later on tonight. Don’t go anywhere. More ECW when we return on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Finlay’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, weighing in at 233 pounds, Finlay.

Striker: Welcome back to ECW, and we are getting ready to watch the man who loves to fight, Finlay.
Mathews: The fighting Irishman picked up a huge win last week over Mark Henry. Can Finlay keep himself on the winning side with this momentum?
Striker: Only time will tell Josh.

The Hart Dynasty’s music hits and the crowd boos
Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by David Hart Smith and Natalya, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 199 pounds, Tyson Kidd.

Mathews: And here’s the protégé of Hall of Famer Bret Hart, Tyson Kidd.
Striker: Along with the Hart Dynasty, you can’t forget them. The Hart Dynasty is a force to be reckoned with.
Mathews: That’s true. Last week, Natalya and David Hart Smith picked up wins. Can Tyson Kidd join his group members in the winning circle?

Tyson Kidd vs. Finlay
-A great technical, back and forth battle. The two use submissions against each other and hit each other with hard strikes. Towards the end, Finlay has the advantage. Finlay tosses Kidd off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Kidd ducks. Kidd delivers some swift kicks to Finlay which knocks him down. Kidd goes to the apron and waits for Finlay to get up. Kidd then delivers a springboard front flip neckbreaker to Finlay. Kidd goes for the cover, 1…2...Finlay kicks out. Kidd runs off the ropes, but is caught with a stiff short-armed clothesline by Finlay. Finlay lifts Kidd up and delivers the Rolling Hills. Finlay goes for the cover, 1…2…Kidd kicks out. Finlay lifts Kidd up for the Celtic Cross this time, but Kidd elbows his way out of it. Kidd hits a double-legged roundhouse kick to Finlay. Kidd goes out to the apron and hits the Springboard Elbow Drop. Kidd goes for the cover, 1...2…3 Kidd wins.
Winner: Tyson Kidd

Chimel: Here is your winner, Tyson Kidd.

Mathews: Big victory picked up by Tyson Kidd.
Striker: If anyone had doubts about Tyson Kidd, I think this victory should prove the doubters wrong. It’s not everyday you get a victory over a guy like Finlay.
Mathews: With this win, the Hart Dynasty rolls on and continues picking up the wins.
Striker: And those wins were all in singles competition. Imagine them in tag team action. I have a feeling the Hart Dynasty will be big here on ECW.
Mathews: Only time will tell. Still to come tonight, it’s the return of the Peep Show with all of the participants in the ECW Championship Scramble Match this Sunday. That and more when we return to ECW here on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage we see Ezekiel Jackson walking to the locker room when he bumps into Mark Henry and Tony Atlas

Henry: Big Zeke. Very impressive out there tonight. Why don’t you come with us and we’ll have ourselves a nice talk.

Zeke goes with them into the locker room to talk

Striker: Wow, I wonder what that was about? What are they talking about with Big Zeke?
Mathews: Who knows, but this could be big. Anyway, we’re now going to go backstage for an interview.

Backstage we see Christian with a reporter

Reporter: Please welcome my guest at this time, the ECW Champion Christian. Now Christian, tonight we will see the return of the Peep Show. And as if that wasn’t big enough, your guests are the four challengers for your ECW Title this Sunday at Unforgiven.
Christian: The Peep Show is going to be huge tonight. I specifically requested from Tommy Dreamer to have the Peep Show tonight with all the Scramble participants. We’re going to find out what everyone’s thoughts are on the match and how they feel going into Sunday. Now that’s what I plan on doing tonight, but you never know what will happen with these things. With the pay per view this Sunday, and all five Scramble participants hungry for the ECW Title in the ring at the same time…anything can happen tonight. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Mathews: The Peep Show is later tonight here on ECW. Don’t miss it. More ECW when we return here on SyFy.

*-----Commercial Break------*

DJ Gabriel’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Wokingham, Berkshire, England, weighing in at 220 pounds, DJ Gabriel.

Striker: Welcome back to ECW. We are getting ready for a match with this man in the ring, DJ Gabriel.
Mathews: It’s been awhile since we’ve seen DJ Gabriel in action here on ECW. He hopes to make an impact here tonight.

Zack Ryder’s music hits and the crowd boos
Chimel: And his opponent, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 214 pounds, Zack Ryder.

Striker: You want to talk impact, check this guy out.
Mathews: Zack Ryder came to ECW this year in the draft which a new look and a new attitude. So far, it’s been working for him.
Striker: Even though he’s a tool, the Long Island native has been impressive this past year.

Zack Ryder vs. DJ Gabriel
-The match is pretty short, with Ryder having the advantage most of the time. Towards the end, Ryder is in control against DJ Gabriel. Ryder slaps Gabriel in the face and does the LI taunt to the crowd. Gabriel gets back up with and uppercut to Ryder. Gabriel then goes to the second rope and jumps off but Ryder dropkicks him in mid-air. Gabriel gets up slowly and Ryder hits him with a jumping leg lariat. Ryder then taunts and yells at Gabriel to get up. Ryder, being impatient and angry, picks Gabriel up to his feet and hits the Zack attack on him. Ryder goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Ryder wins.
Winner: Zack Ryder

Chimel: Here is your winner, Zack Ryder.

Mathews: An impressive win from Zack Ryder. If he keeps this up, then he’s going to go somewhere in this business.

Ryder grabs a microphone

Ryder: That right there was just a glimpse at how awesome I am in the ring. You people need to learn to respect me and my greatness, even if you are jealous that I’m from the great Long Island and you’re not. Remember, you can’t spell “life” without “L.I.” How I look, where I live, and my skills make me better than all of you and everyone else in the back. This is just the beginning. You haven’t seen anything yet. Woo Woo Woo! You Know It!

Striker: Strong words from Ryder, but you can’t deny that the guy is great and could be a future ECW Champion one day.
Mathews: Ryder is someone that everyone’s going to need to watch out for. Well coming up next, it’s the return of the Peep Show. All five participants from this Sunday’s Scramble Match will be on it. What will happen? Find out when we return.

*-----Commercial Break------*

“You Don’t Belong” by Daughtry plays in the background
Mathews: Well we’d like to thank Daughtry for the song “You Don’t Belong” which is the theme song for Unforgiven.
Striker: It’s a great song, but I don’t think there’s anyone in the ECW Scramble Match that doesn’t belong. Each challenger has qualified for his spot in the Scramble Match. The question is who will be the lucky man to get the final fall and win the ECW Championship?
Mathews: The Scramble Match is very unpredictable. None of these five men were in a Scramble Match last year at Unforgiven, so we will see how they each do in this unique environment. That’s this Sunday live on pay per view, but up next we will hear from all the Scramble participants on the Peep Show.

The camera cuts to the ring where we see Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, Paul Burchill, and Vladimir Kozlov

Striker: There we see the four challengers awaiting the host of the Peep Show and ECW Champion, Christian.

Christian’s music hits and the crowd goes wild

Mathews: Here is the host of the Peep Show, our ECW Champion Christian.
Striker: I can’t wait for this.

Christian: Welcome to the return of the Peep Show. Tonight is a big night for the Peep Show. We have four guests here tonight, all of whom are the challengers for my ECW Title at Unforgiven this Sunday. So I thought we’d get everyone’s take on the Scramble Match since none of us have ever been in one before. Burchill, you can start.
Burchill: This is ridiculous. What do you want me to say, huh? That this is a difficult and unpredictable match? All of you need to realize something. This Sunday, you’re going to be in the ring with The Ripper Paul Burchill. I trained and wrestled in England. It’s so tough there that none of you would last one match. None of your skills in the ring can even come close to mine.

Evan Bourne grabs the microphone

Bourne: Is that so Burchill? Now I’m not one to talk much but I had to shut you up. If you think you’re the only one in this ring that has skills then obviously you’ve never seen one of my matches. With my speed and agility, I can an advantage over all of my opponents. You won’t even be able to catch me to show me your “skills.” And this Sunday, I make my dream come true when I become ECW Cham…

Jack Swagger grabs the microphone from Bourne’s hands

Swagger: Blah, blah, blah. You think because you do fancy, risky moves that it makes you a good wrestler? I’m a two time, two time All American. I’m a real athlete, not a stunt show. I can wrestle circles around you and everyone else in this ring. I’m going to Unforgiven this Sunday to regain my ECW Championship.
Christian: Well I’ll tell you one thing we can all beat you in, and that’s a speech contest. Seriously, your lisp is so bad that I think even Kozlov speaks English clearer than you.
Swagger: Shut up! That has nothing to do with wrestling. You’re just jealous of my abilities. You all are. Don’t forget Christian, last week you and Bourne got beat by us. We’d have no problem taking you out and leaving the ECW Title to us.
Christian: You may have beaten me last week in a handicap match, but I believe you were on your back when the night ended. If I recall, you were attacked by your own partner.
Swagger: Hey it’s cool. It was a misunderstanding. Kozlov’s not a bright guy. He must have thought I was one of you.

Vladimir Kozlov grabs the microphone from Swagger

Kozlov: Stupid American. I attacked you because you made fun of me. No one makes fun of Vladimir Kozlov. But I guess you didn’t learn from last week.

Swagger grabs the microphone back

Swagger: Ok Kozlov. See, there’s nothing up there. He’s like an untrained dog.

Kozlov then headbutts Swagger right in the chest, knocking him down. He then continues to beat up on Swagger until Burchill comes over to try and pull him off. Christian and Bourne then pull Burchill off and attack him. They throw Burchill out of the ring as Swagger rolls out of the ring to escape Kozlov. Kozlov turns around into a double team attack from Bourne and Christian. They end up double dropkicking him out of the ring, leaving the two of them in the ring challenging them to come back in.

Mathews: Christian and Bourne clear the ring. What a turn around from last week.
Striker: Things got out of hand and erupted as expected. I can’t wait for the Scramble Match this Sunday.
Mathews: Thank you for joining us tonight for ECW. Don’t forget to order Unforgiven this Sunday live on pay per view. Who will walk out ECW Champion? Tune in Sunday to find out.

WWE Superstars 9/10/09
WWE Superstars Opening Video is shown
The crowd goes wild

Mathews: Welcome to WWE Superstars here on WGN America. We are just three days away from Unforgiven live on pay per view. And what a night we have for you tonight.
Striker: That’s right. Tonight our main event comes from Smackdown. It will be CM Punk taking on Chris Jericho. What a match that’ll be.
Mathews: Well in just a few moments we will have ECW’s contribution to the show. It will be Evan Bourne verses Paul Burchill. What will happen between these two Scramble participants a few days before the big ECW Title match?

Evan Bourne’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Chimel: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Striker: Here comes the high-flying Evan “Air” Bourne.
Mathews: On ECW this week, Evan Bourne was saying that he’s so quick that no one can catch him to show their “impressive” abilities.
Striker: Well there is no doubt that Evan Bourne is fast. He hopes to use that to his advantage this Sunday and walk out ECW Champion.

Paul Burchill’s music hits and the crowd boos
Chimel: And his opponent, being accompanied by Katie Lea, from Chelsea, England, weighing in at 247 pounds, Paul Burchill.

Mathews: Here is another man who hopes to walk out of Unforgiven as the ECW Champion.
Striker: The Ripper told everyone this past Tuesday that no one could endure the hard wrestling style of England, which makes him superior.
Mathews: Paul Burchill has so much talent, but we will see this Sunday if he has enough to walk out as the champion.

Evan Bourne vs. Paul Burchill
-The match is back and forth the whole time with each man showing off their different skills. Towards the end, Burchill is in control. He over powers Bourne and hits him with some unique suplexs. Burchill throws Bourne off the ropes but Bourne comes back with a cross body. Bourne comes back with some kicks and hurricanranas. Bourne then goes to the top rope, possibly for the Shooting Star Press, but Burchill gets up and knocks Bourne off the top rope. Burchill then stalks Bourne as Bourne uses the ropes to get back up. Burchill goes for the Twisted Sister, but Bourne holds onto the ropes, preventing the move from happening. Burchill gets up and charges at Bourne but he gets a quick kick right to the face by Bourne, which knocks him down. Bourne quickly goes up top and hits the Shooting Star Press. Bourne goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Bourne wins.
Winner: Evan Bourne

Chimel: Here is your winner, Evan Bourne.

Striker: Evan Bourne just picked up a ton of momentum going into Unforgiven. What a win.
Mathews: He may have momentum, but this Sunday is a Scramble Match. Momentum or not, it’s anyone’s game. Still to come tonight is our main event from Smackdown. It’ll be CM Punk verses Chris Jericho. Stay tuned for more WWE Superstars here on WGN America.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage a reporter is with the Tag Team Champions, The Colons

Reporter: Carlito, tonight you have a match against Chavo Guerrero, who can’t be in a good mood after Orton’s attack a few weeks ago. But speaking of Legacy, it’s seems that after Raw this past Monday night, Priceless may be the new #1 Contenders for your Tag Team Titles. What are your thoughts on this?
Carlito: No doubt Priceless had an impressive outing on Raw. And if they are the #1 Contenders then we say bring it on. We won’t back down from a challenge and will defend these titles against anyone who is worthy.
Primo: Priceless may be a great tag team and had one great night, but we are the first ever Unified Tag Team Champions for a reason. No tag team can be more in sync than two brothers.
Carlito: And as far as tonight goes, I understand Chavo’s frustration but that’s not going to become my problem. I will go out there with the intention to win and make a statement to Priceless to show why I have gold around my waist.

Cole: It’s Carlito verses Chavo Guerrero. That match is up next, when we return to WWE Superstars.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Chavo Guerrero’s music hits and the crowd boos
Lillian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 215 pounds, Chavo Guerrero.

Cole: Welcome back to WWE Superstars for the Raw portion of the show. And King, this is the first time we’ve seen or heard from Chavo since his match with Orton two weeks ago.
King: And thank God Orton was stopped before he punted Chavo or Chavo wouldn’t be here right now wrestling.
Cole: All to stand up for his family heritage and his aunt Vickie.

The Colons’ music hits and the crowd cheers
Lillian: And his opponent, being accompanied by Primo, from The Caribbean, weighing in at 220 pounds, one half of the Tag Team Champions Carlito.

King: And here comes the Tag team Champions. As you know Carlito will be fighting tonight.
Cole: They unified the titles back at WrestleMania 25 and have held them since, but Priceless seems to be their first big threat to the titles.
King: Well right now Carlito needs to be focused on Chavo and not Priceless.

Carlito vs. Chavo Guerrero
-A fast paced back and forth match. Both men took risks and showed their technical skills as well, especially Chavo. Towards the end, Chavo has control and delivers a tornado DDT off the ropes. Chavo then starts to go for the 3 Amigos. He gets the first 2 off to perfection but the third was reversed by Carlito. Carlito lifts Chavo up on his shoulders but Chavo elbows Carlito and slides down. He immediately turns Carlito around and connects with a Brainbuster to finish of the 3 Amigos. Chavo taunts and goes to the top rope for the Frog Splash. Chavo attempts the Frog Splash but Carlito moves and Chavo misses. Chavo stumbles up and Carlito connects with the Backstabber. He goes for the pin, 1…2…3 Carlito wins.
Winner: Carlito

Lillian: Here is your winner Carlito.

Cole: What a match and win for one half of the Tag Team Champions.
King: And now the next challenge could be Priceless if they go for the titles.
Cole: King there is no doubt that Priceless should get a Tag Team Title shot and I don’t see why they wouldn’t accept.
King: Only time will tell with that. But this match was a nice confidence booster for the champs.
Cole: Don’t go anywhere because up next is our main event. It’s Chris Jericho verse CM Punk here on WWE Superstars.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Chris Jericho’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Manhasset, New York, weighing in at 226 pounds, Chris Jericho.

JR: Welcome back to WWE Superstars here on WGN America. This is our main event for the evening, coming to you from Smackdown.
Grisham: And here comes the pompous Chris Jericho. For weeks, Jericho has complained about not being in the Scramble Match and has rambled on about how great he is.
JR: Well this Sunday he’ll have to back his words up when he faces the Big Red Machine Kane one-on-one.

CM Punk’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.

Grisham: Here comes Mr. Money In The Bank, the Straight Edge Superstar, CM Punk.
JR: This Sunday, Punk has a huge challenge ahead of him when he steps into the Scramble Match.
Grisham: Last year, Punk wasn’t able to compete in his Scramble Match so we will see how well he’ll do this year when he actually gets to compete in one of the most unpredictable matches ever.

CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
-The match is back and forth the whole time. Both men pull off a bunch of their patented moves on the other, as well as many reversals. Towards the end, Punk is in control of the match. Punk tosses Jericho in the corner and hits his high knee to the bulldog combination. Punk then lifts Jericho up for a GTS, but Jericho fights his way off of Punk’s shoulders. Jericho then turns Punk around and hits Punk with a step up enzuguiri. Jericho then connects with the Lionsault. The cover, 1…2…Punk kicks out. Jericho then grabs Punk’s legs to go for the Walls of Jericho, but Punk fights it. He pulls Jericho down for a roll up, 1…2… Jericho kicks out. They both get back up and Jericho hits Punk with a high knee. Jericho then stalks Punk and yells at him to get up, possibly going for a Codebreaker. Just then, Kane’s pyro goes off and distracts Jericho. Jericho looks at the titantron waiting for Kane to come out. Punk gets up, turns Jericho around and hits a quick GTS on the distracted Jericho. The cover, 1…2…3 Punk wins.
Winner: CM Punk

Justin: Here is your winner, CM Punk

Grisham: The distraction from Kane’s pyro cost Jericho the match.
JR: Distraction or not, Punk still picks up the win. Jericho should know not to get distracted if he’s as good as he says he is.

Kane comes out on the titantron and stares down at a fallen Jericho in the ring. Kane then smirks and laughs as Jericho looks on angry.

Grisham: Jericho doesn’t seem too happy.
JR: Kane was sending a message to Jericho. Jericho better get ready for this Sunday.
Grisham: Thank you for joining us for WWE Superstars here on WGN America. Don’t forget to watch Unforgiven this Sunday live on pay per view. Goodnight.

Smackdown Preview:

Last week on Smackdown we saw John Morrison pull off an upset by beating the World Heavyweight Champion Edge. While the Shaman of Sexy must be excited about his big win, the Rated R Superstar must be even madder than he was before. With this loss and the Scramble Match being this Sunday, what must be going through the head of the World Champion and how will he react on Smackdown this week.

This week, we will have some great matches on Smackdown. First off, we will see a huge tag team match. It will be Dolph Ziggler and the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title Shelton Benjamin taking on the team of R-Truth and the Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio. Will this be a bit of a preview for this Sunday’s Intercontinental Title match? Who will gain the upper hand going into the pay per view?

Also this week we will see the Women’s Championship on the line. For weeks now we’ve seen Michelle McCool dominate the women’s division. Last week Michelle and her protégé Alicia Fox picked up a huge victory over Gail Kim and the Women’s Champion Melina. This week, Michelle finally gets her opportunity at the title. Will Melina retain her title or will Michelle become the first diva to ever have won both the Diva’s and Women’s Championships?
Last week it was announced that Chris Jericho would have to face Kane at Unforgiven. What type of interaction will they have on Smackdown this week? Already this week we saw Kane cost Jericho his match on WWE Superstars when his pyro went off mid-match, which distracted Chris Jericho. Is Jericho starting to regret his words?

With Unforgiven only 2 days away, a lot will happen on Smackdown going into the pay per view. The Scramble Match is set and the participants are ready to go into this unique match. Who will gain momentum heading into Unforgiven? We will find out this week on Smackdown on My Network TV.

Smackdown 9/11/09
Smackdown Opening Video is shown
Recap video is shown. It shows Jericho complaining and then Kane attacking him. It then has Edge talking about the Scramble Match and then shows Morrison beating him and the shocked look on Edge’s face
Pyro goes off as the crowd goes wild

JR: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV. We are just two days away from Unforgiven, where every world title is defended in a Scramble Match, and what a night we have for you tonight.
Grisham: That’s right. Tonight we will have a huge tag team match-up. It will be the Intercontinental Champion Rey Mysterio teaming with R-Truth to face Dolph Ziggler and the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title Shelton Benjamin.
JR: And that’s not all. Tonight the Women’s Title will be on the line when the champion Melina defends against Michelle McCool.
Grisham: All of that and more here tonight. Let’s get things started.

Edge’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome to the ring, the current World Heavyweight Champion, the Rated R Superstar, Edge.

JR: Well the World Heavyweight Champion is coming out here to start the show and he does not look happy.
Grisham: Last week on Smackdown, Edge lost to John Morrison, which many have been calling an upset.
JR: There is no doubt that John Morrison is a great athlete and I think we’re starting to see Morrison break into the main event. But as far as Edge goes, that loss did not do him well mentally especially with the Scramble match coming up.

Edge grabs a microphone

Edge: I am outraged. This is ridiculous. I can’t seem to catch a break with anyone, can I. First off, I’m forced into this unfair match they call a Scramble Match. And if that wasn’t bad enough, my title is on the line against some of the most ungrateful and undeserving punks on Smackdown. One of them in particular is John Morrison, the man who beat me last week. Well John, congratulations but don’t get used to it. Your win last week was nothing more than a fluke. You and everyone else should know that I’ve been distracted since hearing about the outrageous news of the Scramble Match for MY World Heavyweight Championship. And you know what’s the worse thing about this match? It’s that I am almost guaranteed to lose my title and Theodore Long, our supposedly unbiased General Manager, could care less. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was his idea to have my World Title defended in this match. But this past week, I’ve cleared my head and came up with a plan to secure my World Heavyweight Championship. No matter how much you people and Teddy Long want this title off of me, it’s not going to happen. Not this Sunday, not next week, not…

John Morrison’s music hits and the crowd cheers

JR: Here comes the man who beat the World Champion last week in the main event. What will be his response to Edge’s words?

Morrison gets in the ring and grabs a microphone

Morrison: So my win last week was a fluke? Edge, you just can’t admit that I got the better of you last week. Maybe you’re afraid of me. Maybe you see me as a threat to your World Title.
Edge: You’re not a threat to me or my title.
Morrison: Well maybe you should start thinking of me as a threat for your own sake. I’m moving up in the ranks and after this Sunday at Unforgiven, I will be the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Edge: Keep dreaming in your little Palace of Wisdom. Maybe you should get your head checked because you must be mentally ill if you think your dream of becoming World Champion this Sunday will become a reality.
Morrison: Did you really just call me mentally ill? This is coming from the guy who convinced himself that the General Manager has it out for him and wants him to lose the title. If anyone is unstable it’s you.
Edge: Haha very funny. You’re a funny guy. Of course you would stick up for Teddy Long. He favors people like you and makes life a living hell for people like me.
Morrison: Do you really believe that? In your mind, everyone is out to get you and nothing bad ever happens because of you.
Edge: Is that so? Well you’re wrong because this just happened because of you.

Edge then attacks Morrison and starts beating him up. CM Punk then runs down to the ring to help out Morrison. Umaga then comes out and attacks CM Punk, evening out the sides. Jeff Hardy then comes down and helps Punk & Morrison get rid of Umaga and Edge from the ring. Umaga and Edge start walking up the ramp backwards slowly when Theodore Long’s music hits and he comes out.

Long: Now hold on one second playas. First off Edge, I don’t know how many times I need to tell you I’m not against you and that the Scramble Match wasn’t made so you could lose your title. But seeing what just happened out here, I’ve decided on a huge main event for tonight. It will be a six man tag team match. The teams will be CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, and John Morrison verses Edge, Umaga, and a partner of your choosing. Good luck tonight. Holla!

JR: What a match made for tonight by our General Manager.
Grisham: I wonder who Edge is going to pick as the mystery partner for himself and Umaga.
JR: We will find that out later tonight. Stay tuned to My Network TV, we have a great night in stored for you here on Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Shelton Benjamin’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Orangeburg, South Carolina, weighing in at 248 pounds, The Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin.

JR: Welcome back to Smackdown and we are ready for tag team action.
Grisham: Here comes the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title Shelton Benjamin. He will get his shot this Sunday against Rey Mysterio.
JR: Shelton left a lasting impression last week on Mysterio. His new attitude might just get him the title.

Dolph Ziggler’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: His partner, from Hollywood, California, weighing in at 221 pounds, Dolph Ziggler.

Grisham: Here’s another man who wants the Intercontiental Title.
JR: Last week we saw Ziggler face Mysterio and, and even though he lost, he looked strong against the champion.
Grisham: Ziggler, like Shelton, is the future of this business and there is no doubt that he will be a champion one day.

R-Truth’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: Their opponents, first, from Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing in at 228 pounds, R-Truth.

JR: Speaking of the future, here comes the charismatic R-Truth.
Grisham: R-Truth is so unique and athletic in that ring.
JR: He entertains the fans in and out of the ring. And “what’s up” is that he may join the Intercontinental Title hunt soon enough.

Rey Mysterio’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his partner, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 175 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion, Rey Mysterio.

Grisham: And here comes the champion now. Rey is looking right at Shelton.
JR: Mysterio is ready for his title defense at Unforgiven this Sunday.
Grisham: Mysterio wanted the match so that he can teach Shelton some respect. Will he wipe away the new attitude of Shelton Benjamin?

Shelton Benjamin & Dolph Ziggler vs. Rey Mysterio & R-Truth
-The match is back and forth the whole time between both teams. There are multiple counters and tags between everyone. Towards the end, R-Truth and Ziggler are the legal men, with Ziggler in control. Ziggler tosses R-Truth off the ropes and goes to clothesline him, but R-Truth ducks and hits Ziggler with the Lie Detector. Both men crawl to their corners and successfully tag in their partners. The fresh Mysterio gets the upper hand on Shelton. Ziggler then comes in and attacks Rey from behind, stopping his momentum. R-Truth comes in and tosses Ziggler to the outside. R-Truth then launches himself over the top rope onto Ziggler. Shelton then stalks Rey for the Pay Dirt, but Rey reverses it and kicks Shelton in the back of the head. Shelton lands on the second rope and Mysterio delivers the 619. Rey hits the springboard body splash and goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Rey wins it for him and R-Truth.
Winners: Rey Mysterio & R-Truth

Justin: Here are your winners, R-Truth and Rey Mysterio

Grisham: Wow what a win by Mysterio. He just pinned the man he will be facing this Sunday with his title on the line. Could this be a prelude to Unforgiven?
JR: It could be, but this was also a tag team match. This Sunday will be a lot different when it’s a one-on-one match. But this could not have been good for Shelton’s confidence.
Grisham: Well still to come tonight is our huge six man tag team main event. Don’t go anywhere. More Friday Night Smackdown when we return.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage a reporter is with Chris Jericho

Reporter: I am here with Chris Jericho. Now Jericho, this Sunday at Unforgiven you will go one-on-one with the Big Red Machine Kane. What are you thoughts on this?
Jericho: My thoughts? How’s this for thoughts, I don’t even know why I’m in this match. Wait, you know what, I don know why. It’s because of Theodore Long, our supposedly un-biased General Manager. He doesn’t like me so he put me in this match so that I can get beaten up to his liking. Well that’s not going to happen. Kane is mad because I said that I’m the best in this business. Well it’s true and at Unforgiven I’m going to prove it. I’m going to beat up Kane so bad that he’s going to be gone just like his brother the Undertaker. These two washed-up has-beens should realize that they will never be at my level and should just retire now. They pander to the fans with special effects and doing the “good thing” especially the Undertaker. Kane calls himself the Big Red Monster, but no matter what he does he’s not the same monster he was when he first debuted. I guess his brother got to him. And because of this, Theodore Long gives them special treatment. And if you don’t believe that, I think giving this match for Kane is an example of Long’s bias. But it doesn’t matter because now at Unforgiven all of these hypocrites will get their moneys worth and see Chris Jericho do what he does best and that’s out-wrestle my opponent and beat them. And that’s exactly what I’m going to do to Kane this Sunday. Kane was offended by my words. Well he’s going to experience them first hand. Last night on WWE Superstars Kane screwed me out of my match when I had CM Punk beat. He’ll pay for that soon enough. Kane’s going to find out that you don’t mess with the greatest wrestler in the world today.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Charlie Haas’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Dallas, Texas, weighing in at 249 pounds, Charlie Haas.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown. Here comes Charlie Haas and he looks ready for action.
JR: Haas is looking to move forward with his singles career right now, but he’s going to need to step it up if he wants recognition.

Curt Hawkin’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his opponent, from Long Island, New York, weighing in at 221 pounds, Curt Hawkins.

Grisham: Here’s another man who is looking to make a name for himself.
JR: Two weeks ago, Hawkins asked for an opportunity to prove himself. As a result, he got a match with the World Champion Edge. He didn’t win but he was impressive, which is a win in my book.

Charlie Haas vs. Curt Hawkins
-The match is back and forth. Haas shows Hawkins his great technical ability first hand, while Hawkins shows he’s a great all around wrestler. Towards the end, Haas has the advantage. Haas has Hawkins down with the Haas of Pain locked in but Hawkins was too close to the ropes and grabbed them to cause a rope break. Haas grabs Hawkins legs to pull him to the center of the ring, but Hawkins kicks Haas off. Hawkins gets some offense against Haas with multiple moves. Hawkins hits a cross body and goes for the cover, 1…2…Haas kicks out. Hawkins lifts Haas up to go for the Hangman’s Facebuster but Haas stops it from happening. Haas grabs Hawkins for a german suplex, but Hawkins prevents it from happening and rolls Haas up, 1…2…Haas kicks out. Hawkins grabs Haas quickly and delivers the Hangman’s Facebuster. Hawkins goes for the cover, 1…2...3 Hawkins wins.
Winner: Curt Hawkins

Justin: Here is your winner, Curt Hawkins

JR: A big win picked up by Curt Hawkins. This kid looks like he’s going somewhere in this business.
Grisham: Hawkins finally stepping up as a singles wrestler. That one opportunity two weeks ago really helped him out and made him better.

Backstage a reporter goes up to Edge and Umaga

Reporter: Edge. Can I have a quick word?
Edge: What the hell do you want?
Reporter: Well I think the whole world wants to know who you are going to pick as your mystery partner tonight.
Edge: Look here. In the beginning of the night I said I had a plan for Unforgiven, and tonight I have a plan as well. But you and everyone else will just have to wait until the main event to find out.

Edge and Umaga then walk off

JR: Edge seems to have things under control, but who’s going to be the third member of his team? We’ll find out in our huge six man tag team main event tonight.
Grisham: Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back with the Women’s Championship on the line.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Michelle McCool’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the Women’s Championship. Making her way to the ring, the challenger, being accompanied by Alicia Fox, from Palatka, Florida, Michelle McCool.

JR: Welcome back to Smackdown and it’s time for the Women’s Championship match.
Grisham: Michelle McCool has really earned this title shot. She’s been dominating the diva’s division on Smackdown lately.
JR: Of course her protégé Alicia Fox joins Michelle. Last week they picked up an impressive win over Gail Kim and the Women’s Champion Melina. I like to think that the win from last week is the reason why Michelle is getting her title opportunity this week.

Melina’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And her opponent, from Los Angeles, California, she is the Women’s Champion, Melina.

Grisham: And here comes the current Women’s Champion, Melina.
JR: Melina is one great athlete and holds that title with pride and honor. But there is no denying how dominant the challenger Michelle McCool has been in recent weeks.
Grisham: Never count out Melina. She’s the champion for a reason.

Women’s Championship
Melina vs. Michelle McCool

-The match is a decent length and is even the entire time. Both divas show off their moves and counter tons of moves. Towards the end, Melina is in control. Melina sets up for the Primal Scream, but Michelle punches Melina in the head and counters it into a suplex. Melina gets over to a corner to help herself up, but Michelle starts stomping Melina down into the corner. Michelle then steps back and delivers a huge running knee to Melina in the corner. Michelle goes for the cover, 1…2… Melina kicks out. Michelle gets frustrated and lifts Melina up for the Faith Breaker. Melina though squirms around and is able to grab the ropes. Michelle still has Melina by the legs but Melina is able to kick Michelle in the head to get out of it completely. Melina then sets up and delivers her Sunset Flip Powerbomb. Melina goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Melina retains her title.
Winner: Melina

Justin: Here is your winner, and still Women’s Champion, Melina

Grisham: Melina retains her title in a heart-felt battle. What a win for the Women’s Champion.
JR: Melina stopped Michelle’s momentum right in its tracks now.

As Melina is celebrating, Alicia Fox gets into the ring and attacks the Women’s Champion

JR: What the hell is Alicia Fox doing?
Grisham: She’s getting revenge for his mentor.

Just then, Gail Kim and Maria coming running down to the ring. They drag Alicia off of Melina and dispose of her and Michelle.

Grisham: Thank God Gail Kim and Maria showed up to save the Women’s Champion.
JR: Yes, but Todd I don’t think we’ve seen the last of this rivalry.
Grisham: I agree JR. Well still to come tonight is our huge main event. It’s a six man tag team match. Who will Edge find to be his third partner tonight? Stay tuned for more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Backstage a reporter is with CM Punk, John Morrison, and Jeff Hardy

Reporter: I’m here with three of the participants in this Sunday’s World Title Scramble Match and one of the teams in tonight’s main event, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, and John Morrison. Now guys, this Sunday you are all opponents going after the World Heavyweight Championship in one of the most unpredictable matches in WWE history, but tonight you all team up against Edge, Umaga, and a mystery partner. What are you thoughts?
Morrison: Tonight we have everything under control. Earlier tonight, Edge came out and rambled on about how my win over him last week was a fluke. He just can’t accept the fact that I out-wrestled him and that I’m stepping up to become that shining star. Edge blames everyone but himself for everything that happens. But tonight, the three of us get to teach him and that brainless gorilla Umaga a lesson.
Punk: That’s right. Edge says we don’t belong in the Scramble Match this Sunday. Well tonight we’ll show him that not only do we belong in the match but that with us in the match his title is in serious jeopardy. Not to mention Edge that I still have my Money In The Bank briefcase. I cashed it in once successfully on you before and I can sure do it again.
Jeff: All Edge does is whine and complain until he gets what he wants. It’s time to shut his mouth up. And Edge, it doesn’t matter who you pick for tonight and what your plan is for Unforgiven because we guarantee that you won’t win tonight and you will not walk out of Unforgiven as World Heavyweight Champion.
Punk: So Edge, stop complaining about the Scramble Match, stop making excuses for losing, and stop blaming Theodore Long for things he didn’t do. Just shut your mouth, take your punishment, and get prepared to lose your title this Sunday.

Grisham: Strong words from those three. I wonder if Edge was listening to what they had to say. If so, he can’t be too happy about what they said about him.
JR: Whether what they said was true or not, Edge’s World Title is in jeopardy this Sunday. We’ll see what happens later tonight in our main event when these three take on Edge, Umaga, and a mystery partner. Don’t go anywhere. We’ll be right back with more Friday Night Smackdown here on My Network TV.

*-----Commercial Break------*

Ricky Ortiz’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Paradise Valley, Arizona, weighing in at 256 pounds, Ricky Ortiz.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and JR are you ready to Rally Up?
JR: Not really. Ricky Ortiz is a tough competitor so let’s see what this young guy’s got.

Kane’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his opponent, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane.

Grisham: Well this is going to be a big challenge for Ricky Ortiz.
JR: An enraged monster is stepping into that ring right now. I wouldn’t want to be Ricky Ortiz right now.
Grisham: With just two days before his match at Unforgiven against Chris Jericho, let’s see what the Big Red machine will do.

Kane vs. Ricky Ortiz
-A quick match-up. Ortiz attacks Kane right away, trying to get the advantage with the sneak attack. Ortiz runs off the ropes but runs into a huge boot by Kane. Kane delivers some punishment to Ortiz with multiple punches and uppercuts. Kane hits a sidewalk slam and a powerslam on Ortiz. Kane then stalks Ortiz for a Chokeslam. Kane grabs Ortiz by the throat and delivers a monstrous Chokeslam. Kane then looks down at Ortiz, lifts him up, and delivers another Chokeslam to him. Kane goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Kane wins.
Winner: Kane

Justin: Here is your winner, Kane

Grisham: A quick and dominating win for the Big Red Machine. Could he possibly be sending a message to Jericho?
JR: There’s no doubt in my mind that Kane used Ricky Ortiz to show Jericho what he has in stored for him this Sunday.

Just then, Chris Jericho comes through the crowd, grabs a chair, and gets into the ring. Jericho hits Kane with the chair in the head and then the back.

Grisham: Where the hell did Jericho come from?

Jericho then gets Kane in the Walls Of Jericho and screams at Kane

JR: Jericho inflicting more punishment on the Big Red Monster.

Jericho then leaves the ring, walking slowly up the ramp staring back at Kane with a grin on his face.

Grisham: Jericho seems really proud of what he’s just done. Perhaps some redemption from last night?
JR: I would guess so. Jericho just made a huge impact on Kane here. But did that attack just enrage the Monster even more? We’ll find out what happens at Unforgiven this Sunday.
Grisham: Still to come is our six man tag team main event. Stay tuned for more Friday Night Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

“You Don’t Belong” by Daughtry is playing in the background
Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and we’d like to thank Daughtry for the theme song for Unforgiven “You Don’t Belong.” And JR, this Sunday is going to be huge.
JR: No doubt about that. In two days we will see the Intercontinental Title on the line. The champion Rey Mysterio will defend his title against Shelton Benjamin. This all started when Shelton challenged Mysterio last week on WWE Superstars. After not getting an answer, Shelton came out last week on Smackdown and challenged Rey again after he attacked him.
Grisham: Mysterio then talked to General Manager Theodore Long and made the match official. Will Rey teach Shelton some respect or will Shelton win the Intercontinental Title once again?
JR: We will also see Chris Jericho take on the Big Red Machine Kane.
Grisham: This all started with Jericho running his mouth about how he’s better than everyone. Kane took offense to that and decided to do something about it. But after the attack tonight by Jericho, what will be the state of the Big Red Monster?
JR: Will Kane shut the mouth of Chris Jericho or will Jericho back up everything he said?
Grisham: And of course our main event is the Scramble Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. It’s the champion Edge, CM Punk, Umaga, Jeff Hardy, and John Morrison all fighting it out for the richest prize in the game. Edge believes that the challengers don’t belong in the match but all of them have earned their spot and could be the future World Champion.
JR: It’s anyone’s game. This is an unpredictable match with no advantage towards the champion. Odds are that Edge will lose the title. Edge says he has a plan though so we will see what happens at Unforgiven in two days live on pay per view.

Backstage we see Edge getting out of his dressing room to make his way to the ring.

JR: Well here comes the World Heavyweight Champion Edge on his way to the ring for our main event.

Edge runs into Jericho. They stop, look at each other, and then smile.

Edge: Chris.
Jericho: Edge.
Edge: Good work out there.

They both then continue walking to where they were going.

Grisham: What was that all about?
JR: I don’t know. But anyway, when we come back it’ll be our main event. It’s a huge six man tag team match. Who did Edge get as the mystery partner? We’ll find out when we return to Smackdown.

*-----Commercial Break------*

John Morrison’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: The following six man tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 219 pounds, John Morrison.

Grisham: Welcome back to Smackdown and we are ready for our six man tag team main event.
JR: And here comes the man who pulled off a huge victory over Edge last week. Morrison is definitely in the champion’s head.
Grisham: Can Morrison make it two weeks in a row he beats the World Champion in a main event?

CM Punk’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: From Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.

JR: Earlier tonight Punk had a few choice words for our World Champion.
Grisham: Punk pointed out a lot of the champion’s problems and more. Not to mention he reminded Edge he still had the Money In The Bank.
JR: Punk trying to get in the head of Edge by reminding him of last year when he cashed it in on Edge to win his first World Title.

Jeff Hardy’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: Their partner, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.

Grisham: Well this man has had more history with Edge than anyone in this match.
JR: From TLC matches to the WWE Title matches last year. I’m sure Jeff would love to take that title away from Edge.
Grisham: Jeff seemed pumped and ready for this match. I’d watch out if I was Edge.

Umaga’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: And their opponents, first, from the Isle of Samoa, weighing in at 350 pounds, Umaga.

Grisham: This man seems like he’s the only one of Edge’s side, or at least that can stand him.
JR: Umaga earlier on helped Edge out by attacking Punk but I’m not sure if he was doing that to help Edge or to just attack his opponents for this Sunday.
Grisham: I’m going to go ahead and say it’s the second one. But who knows what goes through the Samoan Bulldozer’s mind.

Edge’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: From Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 250 pounds, he is the World Heavyweight Champion, the Rated R Superstar, Edge.

JR: And here comes the man himself, the World Heavyweight Champion Edge.
Grisham: But for how much longer will he be champion? He’s going into an unpredictable match with people that I wouldn’t exactly call Edge’s friends.
JR: Well that’s this Sunday, but let’s see if Edge makes it out healthy tonight with three men who want to tear him apart and make an example out of him.

Everyone stands there in anticipation of the mystery partner

Grisham: Who’s this mystery partner going to be?

The Great Khali’s music hits and the crowd is silent and confused
Justin: And their partner, being accompanied by Ranjin Singh, from India, weighing in at 420 pounds, The Great Khali.

Grisham: Oh my God! It’s the Great Khali. Edge got the Great Khali!
JR: The Punjabi Giant teams with Edge and Umaga. What a shocker!
Grisham: Well Punk, Hardy, and Morrison don’t look pleased with this choice. But why did Khali agree to team with Edge?

CM Punk, John Morrison, & Jeff Hardy vs. Edge, Umaga, & Mystery Partner (The Great Khali)
-The match is back and forth, with each team getting offense. Whenever Khali came in, he dominated the match until he tagged out. Towards the end of the match, it’s Punk and Umaga as the legal men. Umaga grabs Punk to deliver a Samoan Spike, but Punk ducks it and delivers a swift kick to the back of Umaga’s head. Both men slowly get to their corners and tag in. Umaga tags in Edge while Punk tags in Morrison. Morrison hits Edge with multiple clotheslines and kicks with is momentum really flowing. Morrison hits Edge with the Flying Chuck and goes for the pin, 1…2… Edge kicks out. Morrison picks Edge up for the Moonlight Drive, but Umaga comes in to stop it. Punk and Jeff get in to pull Umaga off of Morrison and toss Umaga to the outside. They both turn around right into Khali who garbs them both by the throat and sends them to the outside. Morrison tries to attack Khali from behind to knock him out, but it has no effect on Khali. Khali turns around and delivers a huge chop to Morrison’s head. Edge quickly follows up with a Spear onto Morrison. Edge goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Edge wins it for his team.
Winners: Edge, Umaga, & The Great Khali

Justin: Here are your winners, Umaga, The Great Khali, and Edge

Grisham: What a win. Edge gets his redemption from last week by pinning Morrison this week. Khali was definitely a huge factor in that match. Edge did a good job by picking Khali as his partner.
JR: Edge made a smart decision. Khali was the right choice, but why is Khali with Edge?

Edge grabs a microphone

Edge: No one thought I would win tonight. People even had their doubts that I would find someone to be our partner. Well it was no trouble at all. Ladies and gentlemen say hello to my new body guard the Great Khali. Khali accepted my offer and now he knows that he’ll be better off by my side here in the WWE. And to my opponents, this Sunday will be very similar to tonight. I will be walking out of Unforgiven still World Heavyweight Champion.

Edge then stands tall, raising the arm of the Great Khali

JR: Oh my God! What news! The Great Khali is now Edge’s body guard.
Grisham: I think we just found out Edge’s plan for Unforgiven. Have Khali help him like he did tonight.
JR: Will that plan work? What a night. The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line this Sunday in a Scramble match. Watch Unforgiven this Sunday live on pay per view to find out what happens. Thank you for joining us and we’ll see you Sunday.

Unforgiven 9/13/09 Preview
PPV Theme: Daughtry - "You Don't Belong"
Match Previews:

Intercontinental Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. Shelton Benjamin

-At Unforgiven, we will see two amazing athletes wrestle for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship. The champion Rey Mysterio will defend his title against the “Gold Standard” Shelton Benjamin. Two weeks ago on WWE Superstars after defeating R-Truth, Shelton Benjamin made it known to the world and especially to Rey Mysterio that he wants and deserves a shot at the Intercontinental Championship. After not hearing a response, the following night on Smackdown Shelton Benjamin took his challenge one step further. After Mysterio had an intense match-up with Dolph Ziggler, Shelton personally delivered the message to Rey Mysterio with Pay Dirt to the Intercontinental Champion. Shelton then challenged the fallen champion face-to-face. Mysertio was approached Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long about the situation. Long put the decision in Mysterio’s hands to either have the match or not. Rey accepted Shelton’s challenge, saying that he wants to teach Shelton some respect at Unforgiven. With Shelton’s newly acquired attitude, will he be able to win the Intercontinental Title or will the champion Rey Mysterio beat some respect into the challenger?

Diva’s Championship
Maryse vs. Mickie James

-At Unforgiven, our women’s contest will be for the Diva’s Championship when the champion Maryse defends her title against Mickie James. For weeks, Mickie has had her eye on Maryse’s title. Three weeks ago on Raw, Mickie James pinned the Diva’s Champion to pick up the win for her team. The following week she defeated Beth Phoenix to become the #1 Contender for Maryse’s Title. But while Mickie has been on a roll these past few weeks, this past week on Raw we saw Maryse defeat Mickie’s friend Kelly Kelly one-on-one, in what was no doubt a direct message to the challenger Mickie James. Mickie is determined to become the first diva to ever have held both the Diva’s and Women’s Championships. Will she be able to fulfill that goal this Sunday or will Maryse show Mickie why she’s the Diva’s Champion?

Chris Jericho vs. Kane
-At Unforgiven, the loud-mouth egomaniac Chris Jericho goes one-on-one with the Big Red Machine Kane. This all started because of Jericho’s cockiness and big mouth. Three weeks ago backstage on Smackdown, Jericho was talking about how great he is at wrestling and how he’s better than everyone else in the WWE. Kane, who was passing through for his match, did not seem to agree with Jericho on what he was saying. The following week on Smackdown, Jericho came out to start the show. After not getting in the Scramble Match, Jericho took out his frustration by preaching to the crowd about how he’s the best at what he does and that he will never pander to the hypocrites like some many other wrestler do. Jericho listed wrestlers that he says panders to the crowd and Kane’s name was on that list. After Jericho defeated JTG, the Big Red Monster came out to shut Chris Jericho up and make him eat his words. Fortunately for Jericho, he was smart to escape quickly. Later on in the night, Jericho went to Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long to complain. Jericho complained about what Kane just did or at least tried to do, not being in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven, and being left off the pay per view card. Jericho said that you can’t have a pay per view without Chris Jericho. Long agreed and granted Jericho’s wish by giving him a match at Unforgiven. Unfortunately for Jericho it was a match against Kane. This past week on WWE Superstars, Jericho was facing CM Punk, but before Jericho was about to go for the win, Kane’s pyro went off which distracted Jericho and cost him the match. After the match, Kane came out and laughed at the fallen Jericho. On Smackown, Jericho got his revenge on the Monster. After Kane defeated Ricky Ortiz, Jericho came through the crowd to the ring and attacked Kane with a steel chair, which took the big man down. Jericho then added to the assault by applying the Walls Of Jericho to the defenseless Kane. Jericho got the last laugh on Smackdown, but come Unforgiven will he regret angering the Big Red Machine?

Batista vs. Matt Hardy
-At Unforgiven, it’ll be “the Animal” Batista taking on “the Black Cloud” Matt Hardy. This started three weeks ago on Raw when Matt Hardy interrupted Batista’s backstage interview. Matt Hardy said that he was going to win his qualifying match and the Scramble Match, and that if Batista was lucky to qualify that he would have no chance at winning the title against him. After Matt hardy lost his qualifying match to John Cena, Batista came up to him backstage and told Hardy that he talked to much and couldn’t back up his words. This angered Hardy who ended up interfering in Batista’s qualifying match verses Triple H. Matt Hardy came out and delivered a Twist Of Fate to Batista on the ropes which set Batista up for the Pedigree and the loss. The following week on Raw, after Matt Hardy defeated Jamie Noble, Batista came out running to the ring to attack matt Hardy. Hardy escaped quickly through the crowd as Batista looked on ready to tear Matt Hardy apart. This past week on Raw, after Batista defeated William Regal, Batista got on the microphone and demanded Matt Hardy to come out to the ring and face him. Matt Hardy did come out but not how Batista wanted. Matt snuck up on Batista from behind and attacked him with a steel chair. Hardy then gets on the microphone and explains why he did everything he did to Batista. Matt said that Batista is the guy that hogs the spotlight and prevents people like him from entering the main event. Hardy complains about how Batista is handed title shots and he has to earn everything. Matt Hardy is looking to teach Batista a lesson at Unforgiven. Will Batista get his revenge and release his rage on Matt Hardy, or will the Black Cloud continue to hang over Batista’s head?

ECW Championship
Scramble Match
Christian vs. Vladimir Kozlov vs. Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger vs. Paul Burchill

-At Unforgiven, the ECW Championship will be defended in a Scramble Match when Christian defends his title against the four challengers Vladimir Kozlov, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, and Paul Burchill. Three weeks ago it was announced that every brand’s world title was to be defended in a Scramble Match at Unforgiven. As a result, there were four qualifying matches made that week for the challenger spots. “The Moscow Mauler” Vladimir Kozlov defeated Mar Henry to earn the first spot, Evan “Air” Bourne earned his spot after beating Tyson Kidd, “The All American American” Jack Swagger wrestled his way through Finlay to earn a spot, and “The Ripper” Paul Burchill earned the final spot after defeating Zack Ryder. Two weeks ago on ECW, we saw a huge main event involving all five of the Scramble participants. It was a 2 on 3 Handicap match where we saw Christian and Bourne verses Kozlov, Burchill, and Swagger. Swagger, Kozlov, and Burchill picked up a huge win and momentum going into the pay per view. After the match, the team crumbled as Kozlov attacked Swagger because Swagger made fun of Kozlov before the match. The past week on ECW, we saw all the Scramble participants on the Peep Show. What started out as an interview about the Scramble Match turned into everyone saying they were going to win and they were better, which soon led to an all out brawl with Christian and Bourne standing tall. With everyone in this match entering their first Scramble Match who will walk out as ECW Champion?

World Heavyweight Championship
Scramble Match
Edge vs. John Morrison vs. Umaga vs. CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy

-At Unforgiven, the World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in the unpredictable Scramble Match. Edge will defend his title against John Morrison, Umaga, CM Punk, and Jeff Hardy. Three weeks ago, “The Shaman of Sexy” John Morrison claimed the first spot when he beat Rey Mysterio, “The Samoan Bulldozer” Umaga won a huge six man battle royal to earn his spot, Mr. Money In The Bank CM Punk picked up a huge win over Kane to earn his spot, and the final spot was earned by the “Extreme Enigma” Jeff Hardy when he defeated Chris Jericho. While the challengers were happy about the opportunity, the “Ultimate Opportunist” the World Heavyweight Champion Edge was far from happy about the Scramble Match. Edge blamed Theodore Long for the match and claimed that Long made the match because he didn’t want Edge as champion. Two weeks ago on Smackdown, we saw two matches made with the five Scramble participants. The first was a triple threat match where Jeff Hardy picked up an amazing victory over CM Punk and Umaga after he delivered a Swanton Bomb on the fallen Umaga. The second match was a non-titled main event between Edge and John Morrison where Morrison pulled off an upset by pinning the World Champion with a surprise roll-up. This past week on Smackdown, we saw Edge start out the show saying Morrison’s win was a fluke and complaining still about the Scramble Match. Morrison then confronted Edge and said Edge was psycho. This led to Edge attacking Morrison. Punk, Umaga, and Jeff soon joined the brawl. Long then came out and made a huge six man tag team main event where Jeff, Punk, and Morrison would face Edge, Umaga, and a partner of Edge’s choosing. Backstage before the match, Edge said that he had a plan for tonight and a plan for Unforgiven. When the main event came around, surprisingly The Great Khali came out as the mystery partner. Edge led his team to victory when he delivered a Spear to Morrison after Khali chopped him in the head. Edge got his retribution from last week and announced that the Great Khali was his new body guard. Will Khali help Edge retain his title as Edge planned? Will Jeff, Punk, and Morrison team together to make sure Edge doesn’t win like they said? Who will walk out of Unforgiven the World Heavyweight Champion?

WWE Championship
Scramble Match
Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy vs. Triple H vs. Big Show

-At Unforgiven, we will see the WWE Championship defended in a Scramble Match. The match will involve the champion Randy Orton, John Cena, Mr. Kennedy, Triple H, and the Big Show. Three weeks ago, Randy Orton started off Raw talking about how he retained his title and was happy but that soon changed when Vickie Guerrero announced that every brand’s world title, including Raw, will be defended in a Scramble Match. Orton was not happy about that since it’s very likely he will lose his WWE Championship. Even though Orton earned the number five entry into the Scramble Match after he defeated Chavo, Orton was still furious with the match being made and Priceless not earning a spot. That week, John Cena defeated Matt Hardy to take the first spot, Mr. Kennedy…Kennedy earned his spot by winning a six man battle royal, “The Game” Triple H defeated Batista to earn his spot, and “The World’s Largest Athlete” the Big Show earned the final spot when he beat MVP. The following week on Raw, Orton started off Raw talking about the Scramble Match, which led to him yelling at Priceless about letting Kennedy win. Kennedy then comes out to defend himself and make fun of Orton which didn’t settle well with Legacy. Before a fight broke out, Vickie came out and made matches for the night. One match was Mr. Kennedy verses a member of Priceless of Orton’s choosing. After another fight backstage between Legacy, Orton chose Rhodes to face Kennedy when DiBiase got in the champion’s face. Despite DiBiase trying to interfere, Kennedy still defeated Rhodes, thus a victory over Legacy. The other match was the main event, which was Triple H and Cena teaming against Big Show and Orton. Orton’s mental state may have gotten the best of him because Triple H was able to pull off a pin over the WWE Champion leaving Orton’s partner the Big Show tossing over the steel steps in frustration. This past week on Raw, it seemed like the end of Legacy when Orton let lose on Priceless about not being able to take care of Kennedy. As Kennedy came out for his match against Orton, he was assaulted from behind by Priceless. Priceless left Kennedy down and motionless in the ring as Orton looked on from the titantron confused. In the main event, we saw Cena prevail against the Big Show and Triple H in a triple threat match. After the match, all hell broke loose. It started with Big Show knocking out Cena with his Knockout Punch, which was followed by triple H taking out the big man with a sledgehammer. Orton tried for a sneak attack but Triple H was able to turn things around. Just as it looked like Orton was going to get a sledgehammer to the head, Priceless came down and attacked Triple H. They then held Triple H up for Orton who hit and RKO on The Game. Legacy stood tall with all the momentum going into Unforgiven. We’ve been updated on Mr. Kennedy’s condition. After the assault by Priceless, he was rushed to the hospital. Kennedy is no where near 100% but he will be competing at Unforgiven against doctor’s orders. Will this be a bad move by Kennedy or will he defy the odds by winning the title? With his new confidence and the number five entry spot, will Orton have the advantage in this match? Who will walk out of one of the most unpredictable matches as WWE Champion?

Unforgiven 9/13/09
Opening video package for Unforgiven plays
“You Don’t Belong” by Daughtry plays in the background
The camera cuts to fireworks going off and the crowd going wild

JR: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Unforgiven. We are live on pay per view and what a night we have in stored.
Grisham: That’s right. Every brand’s world title will be on the line tonight in a Scramble Match. That means we will see a Scramble Match for the WWE, the ECW, and the World Heavyweight Championships.
JR: What a night this is going to be. Let’s get this pay per view underway.

Shelton Benjamin’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the Intercontinental Championship. Making his way to the ring, the challenger, from Orangeburg, South Carolina, weighing in at 248 pounds, The Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin.

Grisham: And what a way to kick off the pay per view. The Intercontinental Championship is on the line in our first contest.
JR: This all started two weeks ago when Shelton Benjamin challenged Rey Mysterio twice for a shot at his title. The second challenge however was preceded by an attack on Mysterio.
Grisham: Nonetheless, Shelton got the Intercontinental Title shot that he wanted here tonight. But can he get the job done?
JR: With Shelton’s new found attitude, I don’t doubt it.

Rey Mysterio’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his opponent, from San Diego, California, weighing in at 175 pounds, he is the Intercontinental Champion, Rey Mysterio.

Grisham: Well this man right here may doubt it. Here comes the champion.
JR: Mysterio was given the choice by our General Manager to have this match or not. Rey accepted saying that he wanted to teach Shelton some respect.
Grisham: Mysterio looks to beat Shelton’s new attitude out of him and keep his Intercontinental Championship.
JR: Well this past week on Smackdown, Mysterio pinned Shelton in a tag match. Will that give Rey a psychological advantage? We’re about to find out right now.

Intercontinental Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. Shelton Benjamin

-As the match begins, Shelton points across the ring to Mysterio and signaling that he’s taking home the belt. Shelton goes for a test of strength but Mysterio kicks Shelton in the side of the leg instead. Mysterio follows up with a series of kicks which eventually knocks Shelton down. Shelton stands up and stalks Rey. Rey gets to his feet and Shelton tries for Pay Dirt but Rey moves, reversing the move. Rey runs off the ropes and delivers a head scissors to Shelton. Both men get up and Rey hits Shelton with a head scissors into a DDT. Rey then goes over to the ropes and does a springboard moonsault onto Shelton. The cover, 1...2…Shelton kicks out. As Shelton gets up, Rey runs to the corner and springboards off for a cross body, but Shelton catches him and delivers a backbreaker. Shelton goes for the cover, 1…2…Rey kicks out. Shelton turns around and tries to super kick Rey, but Rey catches it and spins him around. Shelton goes for the dragon whip, but Rey ducks and hits Shelton with an enzuguiri which sets Shelton up again on the second rope. Rey goes for the 619 and connects this time. Rey tries to pull himself up for a finishing springboard move. Rey finally gets set and goes for a springboard body splash, but Shelton quickly gets up and hits Pay Dirt in mid-air. Shelton goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Shelton wins.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin

Justin: Here is your winner and the new Intercontinental Champion, Shelton Benjamin.

Grisham: We have a new Intercontinental Champion and his name is Shelton Benjamin.
JR: What a match that was. Rey Mysterio has nothing to be ashamed of. That was a tremendous match. Shelton just seemed to have his number tonight.

Shelton stands tall with the Intercontinental Title and then looks over at Rey Mysterio

Grisham: What’s Shelton thinking here?

Shelton stares at Mysterio, looks down at his title, and then extends his hand towards Mysterio. Rey looks around and hesitates but ends up shaking Shelton’s hand.

JR: What class by the new Intercontinental Champion. They really had one hell of a match.
Grisham: Rey may have failed at retaining his title, but I think he succeeded in beating some respect into Shelton Benjamin.

Backstage we see a reporter interviewing Edge with The Great Khali and Ranjin Singh

Reporter: I’m here with the World Heavyweight Champion Edge and his new body guard the Great Khali. Now Edge, I think the question on everyone’s mind is how and why did you agreement with Khali happen?
Edge: Why? Why not? Khali is over seven feet tall. He’s the most dominate force in the WWE today. And yet no one recognized that. Not the fans, not other superstars, and especially not Teddy Long. Khali was tossed to the side and was an after thought of everyone. But I saw this unused raw talent of Khali and decided to use it. Khali being my body guard not only helps me but it helps him.
Ranjin: The Great Khali says that he is honored to be Edge’s body guard. He says that working side by side with the World Champion is just what he needs for his career. Like Edge said, everyone forgot about Khali. Well now thanks to Edge, no one will ever overlook and forget about the Great Khali.
Edge: Exactly. I needed protection and Khali needed a boost in status. It’s a win-win situation. Our biased General Manager won’t help either of us, which shows how terrible of a general manager he is. Teddy Long only cares about his favorites and the people that pander to the fans. Well not us. We won’t lower ourselves to his level. This is just the beginning of a very dominate relationship. And Long, along with everyone else, will soon learn that.

Just then, Jericho walks by and looks at Edge. The two smile at each other and then Jericho walks away.

Chimel: The following contest is the Scramble Match for the ECW Championship. Now backstage, the competitors drew numbers between 1 and 5 at random. Numbers 1 and 2 will come out to start the match. Every 5 minutes and new superstar will enter based on his number drawn. Every time a superstar gets a pinfall or submission, that superstar is the current champion until another fall occurs. At the end of the 20 minutes, whoever is the current champion will become the new ECW Champion.

Evan Bourne’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Chimel: Entering at number one, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 183 pounds, Evan Bourne.

Striker: We are about to see the first of the three Scramble Matches. Here comes the man who drew the number one spot, Evan “Air” Bourne.
Mathews: Evan Bourne qualified for this match after defeating the Hart Dynasty’s Tyson Kidd three weeks ago on ECW. Now Bourne usually uses his speed as his advantage but I don’t know if that’ll help much in this match.
Striker: In a Scramble Match, there are no advantages. It’s unpredictable and anyone can win this.

Jack Swagger’s music hits and the crowd boos
Chimel: And entering at number two, from Perry, Oklahoma, weighing in at 263 pounds, The All American American, Jack Swagger.

Mathews: And the two time All American Jack Swagger draws number two. Swagger qualified for this match after he defeated Finlay on ECW three weeks ago.
Striker: Swagger has amazing wrestling ability, but like I said for Bourne, this match is too unpredictable for any normal advantage to have an effect.
Mathews: Swagger looks to regain the ECW Championship here tonight. Let’s get started with Bourne and Swagger fighting for the first five minutes.

ECW Championship

The cover, 1…2…3 Swagger wins the fall and is the current champion.

Swagger gets up and taunts in excitement. Swagger then continues to beat up on Christian with mounted punches.

Just then the countdown clock goes off for the fourth entrant. Vladimir Kozlov’s music plays and the crowd boos.

Vladimir Kozlov comes out and makes his way to the ring. Swagger stares at Kozlov the whole time he makes his way to the ring. Kozlov gets into the ring and the two stare each other down face-to-face. Swagger throws the first punch and Kozlov retaliates with a punch. Swagger punches him again and Kozlov again punches Swagger back, which takes Swagger back a bit. Swagger goes for a clothesline, but Kozlov ducks and headbutts Swagger right in the mid-section which sends Swagger back and off the ropes with his momentum. Kozlov then delivers a belly-to-belly suplex on Swagger as he came off the ropes. Kozlov notices Christian getting up so he runs at him and delivers a stiff kick right to the chest of Christian, which sends him out of the ring. Swagger gets up and catches Kozlov by surprise with a belly-to-back suplex. Swagger stomps away at Kozlov and then picks him up. Swagger sets up for the Gutwrench Powerbomb, but Kozlov gets out of it by tossing Swagger over head for a back body drop. Kozlov picks Swagger up and delivers the Iron Curtain to him. Bourne lands in a few good kicks to get the better of the exchange. He tosses Christian into the corner and runs at him, but Christian goes through the ropes and hits the pendulum kick on Bourne. Christian goes to the top rope and jumps off for a huge sunset flip, 1…2…Bourne kicks out.

Just then the countdown clock goes off for the fifth and final entrant. Paul Burchill’s music plays and the crowd boos.

Paul Burchill comes down to the ring. Burchill tries to attack both Christian and Bourne, but they double team him. Just then Swagger gets up and delivers a double clothesline to Bourne and Christian. Swagger takes Bourne and military presses him over the top rope and out of the ring to the floor. Burchill throws Christian into a corner and charges at him with the double knees to the chest. Swagger then tries to german suplex Burchill, but Burchill prevents it and uppercuts Swagger. Burchill hits a neckbreaker on Swagger and goes for the cover, 1…2…Swagger kicks out. Kozlov comes back into the ring. Burchill tries to get an advantage by stomping away at Kozlov as he gets in. Burchill goes off the ropes but comes back into a huge headbutt to the chest by Kozlov. Christian sneaks up behind him and goes for the Killswitch, but Kozlov pushes Christian off and clubs him in the back, followed by a half nelson suplex. Kozlov then clotheslines Swagger out of the ring. Bourne climbs to the top rope as Kozlov turns around. Bourne jumps off towards Kozlov, but Kozlov counters with a huge headbutt to Bourne’s chest mid-air.

Kozlov goes for the pin on Bourne, 1…2…3 Kozlov is the current champion.

Burchill plays defense now as he just tries to keep everyone down. Burchill stomps on Swagger and then tosses Bourne to the outside. Burchill comes back into a belly-to-back suplex by Swagger, who goes for the cover, 1…2…Burchill kicks out. Christian then comes over and starts clubbing the back of Swagger. On the outside, Bourne slowly gets up next to the steel steps as Kozlov comes over to him. Kozlov charges at Bourne for a headbutt to the gut but Bourne jumps over him and Kozlov headbutts the steel steps instead. Bourne gets back into the ring with a full head of steam. He clotheslines Christian and then Burchill. Bourne hits Swagger with a kick and then goes for a hurricanrana. Swagger reverses it by holding onto Bourne’s legs, but Bourne swings over to the ropes and does the hurricanrana to Swagger which sends him over the top rope and to the floor. Bourne goes up top and hits Burchill with the double knees.

Bourne goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Bourne is the current champion with about 25 seconds left.

Christian quickly grabs Bourne and hits the Killswitch on him.

Christian goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Christian is the current champion with about 15 seconds left.

Burchill gets up and connects with the Twisted Sister on Christian. Burchill goes for the cover, 1…2…Swagger breaks it up. Swagger and Burchill scramble for the cover until the time runs out.
Winner: Christian

Chimel: Here is your winner and still ECW Champion, Christian.

Striker: Christian officially got the last fall and is the ECW Champion. Burchill and Swagger couldn’t seem to get the fall in the last 15 seconds.
Mathews: So many falls throughout this match-up. Towards the end, it looked like Burchill was going to get that last fall until Swagger broke it up and neither of them could capitalize in the little time remaining.
Striker: If I’m correct, at some point in the match every participant was champion. That just shows you how great all five of these competitors are.
Mathews: And that was just the first Scramble Match of the night. We still have two more to go.
Striker: I can’t wait. This has already been a very interesting night.

Backstage a reporter is with Mr. Kennedy

Reporter: I’m here with Mr. Kennedy. Now Kennedy, this past week on Raw you were the victim of a heinous attack by Priceless. Let’s take a look.

A short video clip of the attack is shown

Reporter: Now there were reports of you being hospitalized on Monday and possibly not even competing here tonight. Can you clear up the story for us?
Kennedy: Sure. This past Monday on Raw, when I was going out to beat that punk Randy Orton, his lackeys jumped me from behind and attacked me. I have to say they beat me up pretty well. I had to be helped out of the ring by the paramedics. I was in the hospital that night getting checked out. Now it wasn’t a severe injury, but basically my whole body from my head to my toes was in dire pain. I had trouble even getting up to walk. The doctors advised me to not compete tonight, but of course I ignored their advice. I have a shot at the WWE Championship. I’m not going to just throw that away. Tonight, pain or no pain, I’m going out there and giving it my all. And at the end of the night when the bell rings and the match is over, you will here the announcement that the new WWE Champion is Misterrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy…………….. Kennedyyyyyyyyyy!

Cole: Mickie James became #1 Contender after defeating Beth Phoenix on Raw two weeks ago. Mickie is looking to become the first diva to hold both the Women’s and Diva’s Championships.
King: And she has the opportunity to accomplish that tonight.

Maryse’s music hits and the crowd boos
Lillian: And her opponent, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the Diva’s Champion, Maryse.

Cole: And here comes the arrogant Diva’s Champion Maryse.
King: She’s not arrogant. She just thinks she’s better than everyone and too hot for most people, and I can’t blame her.
Cole: Anyway, this all started after Mickie pinned the Diva’s Champion three weeks ago in a tag match. And last week on Raw, Maryse directed her punishment and victory over Kelly Kelly as a message to her opponent Mickie James.

Diva’s Championship

Cole: Wow what a match that was. It was very close, but Maryse in the end was able to hold onto her Diva’s Title.
King: A very impressive showing by both divas but Maryse was just a little bit better tonight. Some great counters at the end, which Maryse was able to get the better of.
Cole: But I don’t think this is the last time we’ll see these two square off for the Diva’s Championship.

Backstage we see Legacy in the locker room watching footage from Raw on the TV

Orton: What happened this past week on Raw was the reason why I created Legacy. You two showed me that I picked the right people to be by my side and have the honor and privilege to ride with the top main eventer in WWE. I’ll admit that as a group we had a slump the previous two weeks, but that’s behind us. On Raw you not only won your tag match in a dominate way, you finished the job with Mr. Kennedy, and came out to save me and help take out Triple H, leaving me the only man from the Scramble Match standing in the ring. After everything put against me, all the odds stacked, I finally feel that momentum is on my side thanks to you two.
Rhodes: Randy, you gave us the opportunity of a lifetime. You took us in and elevated us quicker than we could have ever imagined. And not only that, but you made us better as a whole. You taught us more than anyone else could have.
DiBiase: Exactly. Randy, what happened on Raw was not only our way of showing you what we are capable of, but also to show our gratitude to you. Thanks to you, we will no doubt surpass our fathers’ accomplishments in this business.
Orton: You see guys, this is not a group like Evolution where it’s all about one person. Legacy is a group to make sure the very best in the business stays at the top now and in the future. Tonight I will go out there and be the best as I always am. For the first time in weeks I feel good about my chances in this match. I guarantee I will walk in WWE Champion and I will walk out still WWE Champion.

Chris Jericho’s music hits and the crowd boos
Justin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Manhasset, New York, weighing in at 226 pounds, Chris Jericho.

JR: For weeks, Jericho has preached about how great he is. He says he’s the best in the business and that no one can tell him otherwise.
Grisham: Jericho has always had a huge ego, but he may just be the best in the business. There is no doubt that he’s a great performer.
JR: Just look at all of his accomplishments. You don’t become the first ever Undisputed Champion if you’re not great at wrestling. The problem with Jericho is that his mouth gets him into trouble a lot of the time.

Kane’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And his opponent, weighing in at 323 pounds, Kane.

Grisham: Well Jericho’s mouth was the whole reason this match is happening. Kane was walking through while Jericho said he was best ever, and obviously Kane took offense to that.
JR: Jericho then personally attacked Kane, along with his brother Undertaker and others. Kane took action after that and you can’t blame him for that.
Grisham: Well this past week on Smackdown, Jericho attacked Kane from behind with a steel chair. And if that wasn’t enough, Jericho then applied the Walls of Jericho to Kane.
JR: I’m sure Kane is going to have that attack in the back of his mind and try to make Jericho regret every word he said.

Kane vs. Chris Jericho
-The match starts off with Jericho trying to sneak attack Kane from behind. Kane shakes off the blows and turns around and stares right at Jericho. Jericho gets intimidated and backs up into a corner yelling at the referee to keep him away. Kane walks toward Jericho but Jericho gets out of the ring to regroup. Kane follows though and chases Jericho around the ring and then back in. Jericho, being in the ring first, stomps away at Kane, but Kane catches Jericho’s foot and shoves him back and to the mat. Kane grabs Jericho by the throat and tosses him into a corner. Kane delivers multiple punches and uppercuts to Jericho. Jericho slowly gets back up in the corner as Kane backs up and runs at Jericho in the corner. Jericho though dropkicks Kane’s left knee, which takes the big man down. Jericho then dropkicks Kane in the back and starts working on his left leg. Jericho stomps on the leg and then gets a leg lock on Kane. Kane crawls over and grabs the ropes. Jericho continues to stomp on the left leg of Kane. Jericho grabs Kane’s leg to go for a submission again but Kane kicks Jericho away. Kane slowly gets back up, but Jericho chop blocks Kane’s left leg. Jericho then goes to the outside dragging Kane’s leg over to the ring post. Jericho slams Kane’s left leg on the ring post and then wraps it around the post and holds it to inflict more damage. Jericho gets back in and goes for the cover, 1…2…Kane kicks out forcefully but then holds his left leg. Kane sits up holding his leg, but Jericho kicks Kane right in the head to knock him down. Jericho then goes for a single leg Boston crab. Kane is in pain but is able to fight his way over to the ropes. Jericho holds it in for the referee’s four count. The referee pulls Jericho off and Jericho yells at the referee. Jericho goes back over to Kane who kicks Jericho away with his good leg and then uppercuts him. Kane gets up and clotheslines Jericho. Kane lifts Jericho up and powerslams him, but you can tell Kane’s left leg is still bothering him since he’s limping. Jericho gets up slowly and Kane grabs him and deliver a sidewalk slam. Kane goes for the cover, 1…2…Jericho kicks out. Kane slowly gets up and decides to go to the top rope, most likely for the flying clothesline. Kane struggles getting to the top rope which allows Jericho to get up and knock him off the top rope. Jericho then hits the Lionsault on Kane and goes for the cover, 1…2…Kane kicks out. Jericho tries to go for the Walls of Jericho but Kane prevents it from happening and uses what’s left of his leg strength to fling Jericho off. Kane starts to get up but Jericho hits him with a quick step up enzuguiri. Jericho goes for the cover, 1…2…Kane kicks out. Jericho then stalks Kane for the Code Breaker. Kane gets up and Jericho goes for the Code Breaker, but Kane catches Jericho and slams him to the ground. Kane stumbles a bit but stays up and taunts for the Chokeslam. Jericho gets up and Kane grabs him by the throat. Jericho quickly kicks out Kane’s left knee and trips him up. Jericho then turns Kane over and locks in the Walls of Jericho. Kane crawls to the ropes but before he gets the bottom rope, Jericho drags him away. Jericho has it locked in. All of a sudden a gong sound goes off in the arena and the lights go out. The lights come back on and we see Jericho up looking around. Jericho goes over to the referee and yells at him asking what just happened. Jericho then turns around right into Kane grabbing him by the throat from his knees. Kane gets back to his feet and delivers a Chokeslam to Jericho. Kane goes for the cover, 1…2…3 Kane wins.
Winner: Kane

Justin: Here is your winner Kane.

Grisham: Kane wins an intense match but you can’t help but think that the match could have been over if that distraction didn’t happen. I wonder what that was.
JR: That distraction definitely cost Jericho the match but we can’t say Kane only won because of that. But I’m sure Jericho is furious at what just happened.

Jericho slowly gets up in the ring when the gong hits again. The lights go out and the Undertaker’s music plays. Undertaker comes out and the crowd goes wild.

JR: OH MY GOD! IT’S THE UNDERTAKER! HE’S BACK!
Grisham: Well there’s our answer. It was Kane’s brother who caused the distraction. And Jericho does not look pleased to see the Undertaker return right now.

As Undertaker gets into the ring, Jericho gets up and starts screaming at Undertaker for causing the distraction during the match. Jericho slaps Undertaker in the face, but then Undertaker punches Jericho. Undertaker then lifts Jericho up and hits him with a Tombstone Piledriver. Undertaker then taunts to the crowd.

JR: What a return! That was not a smart move by Jericho to slap the Dead Man.
Grisham: Jericho was just enraged and now after that Tombstone he must be even more furious. But this crowd is going crazy right now. What a shocker!
JR: The Phenom is back! And it looks like Jericho was his first victim.

“You Don’t Belong” by Daughtry plays in the background as the album cover is shown on the screen

Cole: We’d like to send a special thanks out to Daughtry for the Unforgiven theme “You Don’t Belong” off the album Leave This Town, available now.
King: What a great song this is Michael. I love Daughtry.
Cole: Well Matt Hardy feels that Batista doesn’t belong in the main event anymore, which brought about our next contest. It’s Batista verses Matt Hardy. Let’s take a look back at how this all started.

A promo video is shown recording the history of this feud. It shows Matt Hardy interrupting Batista’s interview on Raw and then losing his qualifying match. It then shows Batista coming up to Matt Hardy backstage and telling Matt that he’s all talk. It shows Matt Hardy screwing Batista out of his qualifying match against Triple H after a Twist of Fate on the top rope. The video ends with Matt Hardy staring down at a fallen Batista.

Matt Hardy’s music hits and the crowd boos
Lillian: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 236 pounds, Matt Hardy.

Cole: Well here comes the “Black Cloud” Matt Hardy. As we just saw in the video package this all started with Matt Hardy’s jealousy of Batista.
King: I wouldn’t call it jealousy. Like Matt said on Raw, he’s upset that people like Batista get everything handed to them and he doesn’t get anything no matter how hard he works. Matt wants Batista to step out of the spotlight.
Cole: Matt claimed that after tonight the Black Cloud will still hang over Batista’s head. Will that be true at the end of this match?

Batista’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Lillian: And his opponent, from Washington D.C., weighing in at 290 pounds, Batista.

Cole: And here comes the enraged Animal. No matter what Matt Hardy says, Batista earned his main event status. Batista works hard and doesn’t spend his time complaining or talking.
King: But Batista also had Evolution to boost himself to the main event. Matt has never had that kind of help.
Cole: Well will Matt show us that he belongs in the main event or will Batista shut him up and get his revenge?

Batista vs. Matt Hardy
-The match starts off with Batista charging at Matt and tackling him to the ground. Batista punches away until the referee pulls him off and Matt rolls over to the corner. Batista then shoves the referee and goes right back after Matt. Matt kicks Batista in the gut as he comes over and then punches him in the head. Matt goes off the ropes but runs into a huge clothesline by Batista. Batista stomps away at Hardy and then lifts him back up. Batista tosses him into the corner and charges at Matt. Matt goes for the cover, 1…2…Batista kicks out. Matt gets up and taunts for the Twist of Fate. Batista slowly gets up and Matt sets up for the Twist of Fate. Batista punches Matt in the gut and delivers a Spinebuster to reverse Matt. Batista then gets up, taunts with the ropes, and gives Matt a thumbs up and then a thumbs down. Batista goes to grab Matt to setup for the Batista Bomb, but Matt sees this coming and quickly gets out of the ring and goes over to the time keeper’s area. Batista follows him out there. Batista goes to turn Matt around, but Matt turns around and hits Batista with a steel chair. The referee sees this and calls for the bell.
Winner: Batista (via DQ)

Lillian: Here is your winner by disqualification Batista.

Matt then continues to beat Batista with the chair. Matt then picks Batista up and hits him with the Twist of Fate on the floor. Matt then stares down at Batista and then walks away slowly.

Cole: Wow. I can’t believe the actions of Matt Hardy.
King: Matt knew he was close to defeat so he did the only thing he could and decided to take Batista out before Batista could take him out.
Cole: Matt Hardy definitely left his mark and made a statement.
King: Batista may have technically won the match, but the Black Cloud still hangs over his head.

Backstage we see Theodore Long in his office when Chris Jericho barges in

Long: Jericho, how can I help you?
Jericho: How can you help me? Did you not see what just happened to me? First the Undertaker distracts me and costs me my match with Kane. And then after a grueling match, that I had won by the way, he comes out and Tombstones me.
Long: Well if I remember correctly Jericho, this past Friday on Smackdown you were talking trash about the Undertaker. I think he had every right to come out. And not only that, but you struck him first.
Jericho: This is just like you Teddy. Sticking up for you “fan favorites” while you try to pin everything on people like me. Admit it. You’re a biased and unfair general manager. You’re doing a terrible job as the General Manager of Smackdown.
Long: Jericho, I’m not going to just sit here and take your insults all night. I would like you to leave now.
Jericho: Fine Teddy, but this isn’t over. Not by a long shot.

Jericho walks out of Long’s office and the camera follows Jericho. Jericho is in the hallway frustrated when Edge comes up to him.

Edge: Chris.
Jericho: Edge.
Edge: You know Jericho, I saw what happened out there with the Undertaker, and that was totally unfair and unjust. You did not deserve that attack. Not to mention you had the match wrapped up until Undertaker played his little games and caused a distraction.
Jericho: Thank you Edge. Someone finally understands the situation, unlike our so-called “fair” General Manager.
Edge: Did you talk to Teddy?
Jericho: Yeah I just did. He told me that it was my own fault and then he kicked me out of his office.
Edge: Typical Theodore Long. He doesn’t care about people like us. Well I have a Scramble Match to get out to, which is another one of Teddy Long’s “un-biased decisions.” But you know what Chris? I think we should talk.
Jericho: Yeah, I think we should.

Edge and Jericho walk off as the camera cuts away

Grisham: Well Jericho is upset, but what was up with Edge and Jericho? A talk?
JR: Todd, I don’t like the look of this. This can only lead to no good. But anyway, up next is the World Heavyweight Championship Scramble Match.
Grisham: One of the most unique and unpredictable matches in WWE history. Five men battling for the final fall. Let’s see the events leading up to this championship match.

A promo video is shown for the events leading up to the Smackdown Scramble Match. It shows the four qualifying matches. It shows Morrison beating Mysterio, Umaga winning the battle royal, Punk beating Kane, and Jeff beating Jericho. It then shows Edge arguing with Teddy Long about the Scramble Match being made. Then it shows Jeff winning the triple threat match against Umaga and Punk. It then shows Morrison picking up a surprise victory over the champion Edge. Then it shows Edge complaining the next week about Morrison’s win being a fluke and about the Scramble Match. Morrison comes out and addresses Edge’s words. Edge then attacks Morrison leading to a brawl with Umaga, Punk, and Jeff joining. Long then comes out and makes a 6 man tag match for the main event with Edge picking a mystery partner. Edge is shown backstage with no concern about the mystery partner. It then shows Khali coming out as the mystery partner. Clips from the match are shown and it shows the ending with Khali helping Edge pin Morrison. It ends with Edge announcing Khali is his new body guard and the two standing tall in the ring.

Justin: The following contest is the Scramble Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. At the end of the 20 minutes, whoever is the current champion will become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

CM Punk’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: Entering at number one, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 222 pounds, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk.

Grisham: Our second Scramble Match of the night is about to begin. And it looks like CM Punk will be starting things off.
JR: Punk has never been a Scramble Match so he has no idea what to expect. Punk needs to get some falls early quickly so he can play defense the rest of the time.
Grisham: That’s the best strategy when you’re number one in this match. Who will number two be?

Jeff Hardy’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Justin: And entering at number two, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 225 pounds, Jeff Hardy.

JR: And number two is Jeff Hardy. Last year Jeff was so close to winning the WWE Title in the Scramble Match, but the time caught up to him.
Grisham: You need to be aware of the time limit at all times. That split second of hesitation could cost you the match and the World Title.
JR: Well these two men will fight it out first for five minutes. Let’s get this match underway.

JR: What a match that was. Somehow, Edge keeps his World Heavyweight Championship.
Grisham: I think you have to give the assist to the Great Khali. If it wasn’t for him, Morrison would have hit Starship Pain and possibly have gotten the pin.
JR: Well it doesn’t matter now. The decision is final. Edge said he had a plan for Unforgiven and it worked. Like it or not, Edge has just retained his title.
Grisham: This relationship with Khali seems to be working well for the champion. With Khali by his side, Edge may be unstoppable.

A promo video for No Mercy is shown

Cole: Well the next time we’ll be on pay per view will be October fourth for No Mercy.
King: I can’t wait for that, but right now we’re getting ready for our main event of the night.
Cole: That’s right. It’s the WWE Championship Scramble Match coming up. Let’s take a look at the weeks leading up to this huge title match.

A promo video is shown for the events leading up to the Raw Scramble Match. It starts with Orton coming out and talking about his title defense at Summer Slam. Vickie then comes out and announces the Scramble Match, leading to Orton’s frustration. It then shows the four qualifying matches. It shows Cena beating Matt Hardy, Kennedy winning the battle royal by eliminating Priceless, Triple H beating Batista, and Big Show beating MVP. It then shows Orton backstage yelling at Vickie and then Orton beating Chavo for the number five spot in the Scramble Match. Then it shows Orton coming out the following week and yelling about the Scramble Match, at Priceless for not doing their job, and disses Kennedy. Kennedy comes out to defend himself and makes fun of Legacy. Kennedy starts to walk to the ring when Vickie comes out to stop it and announces the matches for the night. Then it shows Orton backstage trying to decide who will face Kennedy and yelling at Priceless for not doing their job. It shows Kennedy beating Rhodes with DiBiase in his corner. It then shows Orton getting pinned in the main event tag match by Triple H, picking up the win for him and Cena and Big Show tossing over the steel steps. Then it shows the following week where Orton yells at Priceless for being useless. It then shows Priceless attacking Kennedy as he came out for his match against Orton. Then it shows clips from the triple threat main event between Cena, Big Show, and Triple H. It shows Cena winning and then Big Show delivering a Knockout Punch to Cena. Triple H then takes Big Show out with a sledgehammer. Orton tries for a sneak attack but Triple H prevents it and corners Orton. Before Triple H is about to hit Orton with the sledgehammer, Priceless comes in and attacks Triple H. Priceless hold up Triple H for Orton and Orton delivers a RKO to Triple H. It ends with Orton looking around at all the fallen bodies and at Priceless, lifts their arms up and tells them “now that was impressive.”

Lillian: The following contest is the Scramble Match for the WWE Championship. Now backstage, the competitors drew numbers between 1 and 4 at random, with Randy Orton being already distributed number 5. Numbers 1 and 2 will come out to start the match. Every 5 minutes and new superstar will enter based on his number drawn. Every time a superstar gets a pinfall or submission, that superstar is the current champion until another fall occurs. At the end of the 20 minutes, whoever is the current champion will become the new WWE Champion.

Triple H’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Lillian: Entering at number one, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing in at 255 pounds, Triple H.

Cole: And we are ready for the final Scramble Match of the night. Here comes the Game at number one.
King: Last year, Triple H was able to retain his WWE Title in the Scramble Match. Can Triple H win the WWE Championship Scramble Match two years in a row?
Cole: If anyone can do it, it’s the King of Kings.

Mr. Kennedy’s music hits and the crowd cheers
Lillian: And entering at number two, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, weighing in at 235 pounds, Mr. Kennedy.

Cole: And here’s the number two entrant Mr. Kennedy. Look at him King. He doesn’t look a hundred percent.
King: We heard from Kennedy earlier and he said he basically disobeyed doctor’s orders in order to compete here tonight.
Cole: How can you turn down a shot at the WWE Championship? But is this a smart move by Kennedy?

Raw Preview:

Just one day removed from Unforgiven, on Raw we will see the fallout from the pay per view. In our main event, we will see the former champion Randy Orton team with the “Black Cloud” Matt Hardy to take on “The Animal” Batista and the new WWE Champion John Cena. After what happened at Unforgiven during the Scramble Match, how will Orton act on Raw? Will the champion be safe from the Viper? And after the match ending in a DQ finish at Unforgiven, things are not even close to being settled between Batista and Matt Hardy. The Black Cloud still hangs over Batista’s head, but for how long?

Also on Raw we will see the Tag Team Titles defended. After last week’s impressive run by Priceless, they have been awarded a shot at the Colons for the Tag Team Championship. Will the Colons show Priceless why they’re the first ever Unified Tag Team Champions, or will Priceless’s run of dominance continue?

At Unforgiven, Randy Orton punted Mr. Kennedy in the skull after the WWE Championship Scramble Match. Mr. Kennedy was injured before the match and was advised by doctors not to compete. After the punt, what is the condition of the Green Bay native? Hopefully we will find out more on Mr. Kennedy’s condition on Raw.

And the V.I.P. Lounge makes its return to Monday Night Raw. The host, the United States Champion MVP, will have none other than the world’s largest athlete the Big Show as his guest. What will MVP ask the Big Show and what will the Big Show have to say? Tune into Monday Night Raw on the USA Network to find out all of this and more.

Very Good preview for the first Raw after Unforgiving. I have a feeling Orton and Hardy won't be able to pull out a win. I also have a feeling that Mr. Kennedy is going to be out for some time, with the injuries he has already sustained and the punt to the head which is very lethal.

I read Unforgiven and thought all the matches was good (even the divas). One thing I was very surprised by was the actions of Benjamin after the match. Possible Face turn??? anyway can't wait for Raw to come up, keep up the good work dude.
