WWE 2009: The Age of Legacy

Backstory:

After a roller coaster year of highs and lows in 2008, The WWE pulled the right strings on the start of 2009. Costing Jeff to lose the championship to Edge…

Randy Orton’s rage also got the best of him when he was inadvertently slapped by Stephanie McMahon, On the night where Mr. McMahon returned. Randy demanded an apology over Stephanie’s actions, in which the older McMahon took offense for. When McMahon was about to fire Orton, Randy slapped Mr. McMahon and punted him right on the skull.

Default Re: WWE 2009: Age of Legacy

Monday Night RAW
April 06 2009
American Airlines Arena
Dallas, TX

“Orton’s Law prevail”

At Wrestlemania XXV, Perhaps the most darkest day in the McMahon Family’s history has come when Triple H, Mr. McMahon, Shane McMahon and Stephanie McMahon all fell before the wrath of Randy Orton and his Legacy, Just minutes after winning the WWE Championship from Triple H after a vicious sledgehammer shot and an punt to the head of the Game. Vince and Shane McMahon rushed to the ring to help their fellow McMahon. But they met the same fate when Orton punted both of them, shades of last month when Orton punted them. But the biggest disgust of the night is when Orton delivered a devastating punt to Stephanie McMahon who has been tending to his fallen family. At Wrestlemania, it was suppose to be a celebration of sorts. The 25th Anniversary of the Greatest Spectacle of them All, Vince McMahon’s humble idea was turned to a global phenomenon. How ironic is that 25 years later. It will be also be the stage where the Entire McMahon Family has been taken out by a single sadistic, cold hearted human being. Randy Orton. With this at hand, Who will be next to step in the way of Randy Orton and his Legacy? Now that he’s got DiBiase and Rhodes by his side, Can the Age of Orton be stopped now?

“The Streak Lives”

Also last night, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker wrestled in a 20 minute classic where we saw The Undertaker carry his streak alive against The Heartbreak Kid, Mr. Wrestlemania himself, Shawn Michaels, On a exclusive WWE.com interview to the Heartbreak Kid just minutes after Wrestlemania 25. He said he lost to a better man that night and Undertaker truly is the Phenom of Wrestlemania. But he also expressed his disgust over Randy Orton’s actions to the McMahon family and his friend and co-DX founder, Triple H. He said he will take action and that he will be coming after Orton. Will HBK make true to his promise?

“History made”

At Wrestlemania XXV, Intercontinental Champion, JBL has promised to make history on the Grandest Stage of them All, the match itself was historic because it was the first Intercontinental Championship defense at a Wrestlemania since Wrestlemania X8. but JBL did made another history, just minutes after a classic bout against Mysterio and retaining his IC title, JBL announced that he will now retire from active competition as the Intercontinental Champion. His peers at the Reliant Stadium gave him a standing ovation and hugged his rival, Mysterio. Before laying the Intercontinental Championship in the middle of the ring as he exits from the ring one last time. With the IC title vacant, who will be next to claim the title?

“Captain Money in the Bank”

Since his return to the WWE, Christian has been on a role. Scoring defeats over the ECW Champion Jack Swagger in the Land of Extreme, and now, Captain Charisma captures the MITB Briefcase last night, earning Christian a future World Title shot, whenever and wherever he wants. With this latest win by Captain Charisma, Christian will address the WWE Universe about his win over seven of WWE’s elite superstars. What will Christian about to say over his win?

“JericKO’d”

Last night, though valiantly standing up against Chris Jericho, The Legends we’re beaten by the sadistic, disrespectful Jericho, However, the Legends got the last laugh when “The Wrestler” actor Mickey Rourke came to the ring and clocked Jericho with a haymaker to the jaw that knocked out Jericho in the middle of the ring. With Jericho’s Wrestlemania moment thralled by Rourke, How will Jericho rebound from the humiliation given to him by Rourke?

Plus:

The Women’s and Undisputed Tag Team Championship will be defended

Womens Championship
Singles Match
Melina© vs. Beth Phoenix

Undisputed Tag Team Championship
No Disqualification Tag Team Match
The Colons© vs. Miz and Morrison
