I think most people would say promos, but for me it's matches. I just can't get inspired when writing them, even in recap form, where as I find promos easy. There is a lot of skill in doing both, but I think it's far more difficult to tell a story when writing a match up.
Would any of you put people who have Feast or Fired, Money in the Bank type instant title shots in a matches for top contenderships like a big Battle Royal or a Gounlet Match?

I dont see why not. When Edge was Mr. MITB when he won a #1 Contenders tournament (Gold Rush).

I'd say promos are hardest for me. For my last show, I wrote my two big promos on the fly, whereas I normally write most of them out in paper first, and they weren't very good.

I wouldn't say that. I think matches are easier to book on the fly, where as promos aren't. Like you I book every show on paper first in great detail before typing up the show. I use bullet points mostly, much like the WWE TV show scripts that have been leaked on line.
That's sort of what I do. I normally write my promos out in full, then add as I type, but for segments, I just bullet key points. For matches, I just bullet how I'll get to the end, everything else being what I picture in my mind's eye.
And Brad, I don't think I'm getting that RKO/Tombstone move you described. Does it look something like a snapmare driver?
For me, matches are easier then promos. For promos I usually have to watch the person on youtube and get a feel for what they say and everything while for matches, I can usually just write without really having to look for anything (unless I dont know the persons moveset very well).
Jesus christ, you people have time to write it down on paper? I hardly get a show out every two or three works in normal circumstances and that is writing it ONCE.

Not anymore. I used to write it on paper back when I was in school and had nothing better to do in class, but now that I'm out, it's usually just a very quick jotting down the bullet points without going into much detail.
