Re: Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff Present: Elite Wrestling League
BREAKING NEWS
We here at the Elite Wrestling League are proud to break the news of the first five talent signings to the EWL roster. They are as follows:
1.) "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe

After leaving TNA Wrestling a few short weeks ago, Samoa Joe jumped at the chance to sign an EWL contract. A former TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and a standout in any company he has joined, Samoa Joe has been in the ring with the best in the world. From Kurt Angle to Kenta Kobashi, from Sting to CM Punk, from Booker T to Jushin Thunder Lyger, Samoa Joe has faced them all and is ready to bring his no-nonsense style to EWL.
2.) Rampage

Better known as Kane to many wrestling fans, this former World Champion will be making his debut in EWL under a new, far more appropriate name, Rampage. One would be hard pressed to find a better word to describe the ten plus year career of this dominant monster who looks to continue his reign of terror in EWL.
3.) Ken Anderson

Looked at by many as one of the next big things in the pro wrestling world, it is only fitting that Ken Anderson finds his new home in another next big thing, the Elite Wrestling League. Once a top contender on wrestling's flagship show, a string of injuries and bad luck have sidelined Anderson...until now. He looks forward to making his impact on the business, and EWL is the place for him to do just that.
4. Eddie Fatu

You may know him as "The Samoan Bulldozer" Umaga, but from now on you will remember him as Eddie Fatu, the EWL's fourth roster addition. Eddie has made his reputation by being one of the most athletic men of his size to ever grace the squared circle. A former Intercontinental Champion, Eddie Fatu looks to take EWL by superheavyweight storm.
5. Elijah Burke

Much of what was said about Ken Anderson could be said of this man, Elijah Burke. Known for his innovative offense and boxing background, Elijah Burke has all the potential in the world to make a name for himself not only in the EWL, but in pro wrestling itself. His old theme song demands "Don't Waste My Time" and we assure you, we won't, especially if this young man is in the ring.
---------------------
There you have it, the first five signings. Feel free to leave feedback or predict more, and I will be back with another five in a few more days.

---Possible Signees----
Rob Van Dam- The "King" of the high flying would sure be a great addition to EWL. Could be a big main eventer and would sure help the early ratings.
Kenny Dykstra- Nice young talent who could have been a solid mid carder over on Smackdown! but never panned out. Could Erik Bischoff take advantage here? Will see!
Matt Hardy- Always secondary to Jeff Hardy over at World Wrestling Entertainment, maybe this would be the perfect place for Hardy to separate himself from Jeff and become the bigger and better known Hardy?

Re: Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff Present: Elite Wrestling League
This looks like a great BTB...you really are working from the bottom up and for that I respect you. You've also signed some great competitors as well.
I especially like the signing of Kane and renaming him Rampage. Whether he will be as dominant as Kane was is questionable, but what I hope you do is change his gimmick. Hopefully you've decided that a new name= a new gimmick because it would be pointless simply renaming Kane if he's going to act like Kane. Hopefully the name change means Kane is perhaps more monstrous, even brutal perhaps. Hopefully you break the barriers here.
Samoa Joe, Ken Anderson, Eddie Fatu and especially Elijah Burke are also amazing signings and express the variety of talents this BTB is destined to have. But what I note is that all are ex-WWE or TNA signings- hopefully you mix it up with at least a few indy talents. My best bet would be to look at the likes of Bryan Danielson, Nigel McGuinness, Roderick Strong and Austin Aries, four who have ripped up the indy scene for the past few years but have never made it to the big time- or they have but have never really made a name for themselves. This could be their chance.
As for predicting who the next talents will be, could be absolutely anyone. I think Paul London would be a great addition to the roster, and I agree with what Rhodes says about signing RVD and Kenny Dykstra.
Whoever you decide, I wish you best of luck with this...its looking awesome already!

Huge first five signings, Crunk. All of these guys are recognizable and capable of having a company built around them. As far as other signings go, I'm thinking RVD, and a few names from ROH, like Tyler Black. Keep it up, man, it's looking great.

Re: Ric Flair and Eric Bischoff Present: Elite Wrestling League
I'm intrigued by the UFC guy not being named. Lesnar and Shamrock seem too obvious, but then again, so did Joe and Kane. But I'm thinking it might be GSP or Tito.
Then again, I'd mark like a bitch for Matt Lindland. Just saying.
