Default WWE 2004: Aftermath Of Wrestlemania XX

My last thread ended on the 6th of May

WWE 2004 – Aftermath Of Wrestlemania XX

Backstory

My last thread stopped because of exams and studying, now I have free time on my hands so I thought I’d start a new one. Hopefully this can be successfully. When I was doing the modern WWE BTB I felt like I was doing the same storylines as WWE. So by starting at a different time period I feel I can create my own storylines and rewrite history if you will. 2004 started of very well with a good Wrestlemania 20 in my opinion but lost some momentum going through the year. I’m looking to change that.

Wrestlemania XX Results

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Chris Benoit def Triple H & Shawn Michaels

Chris Benoit won his first World Championship at Wrestlemania at the expense of “The Game” Triple H. “The Crippler” made Triple H tap out to the Crippler Crossface meanwhile Michaels couldn’t do a thing to stop it.

WWE Championship Match
Eddie Guerrero def Kurt Angle

Eddie Guerrero retained his Championship against the Olympic Gold Medallist, Kurt Angle. Eddie won with a roll up after he lied, cheated and steeled his way to victory. It seemed as though Eddie feigned a ankle injury and had to loosen his boot. Angle went for the Ankle Lock on Eddie but Eddie’s boot came off and rolled up Angle for the victory.

Grudge Match
Undertaker def Kane

The Undertaker was making his return to WWE at the expense of “The Big Red Machine” Kane. Kane demanded this match as he was receiving threats from his brother; Kane had buried Taker at Survivor Series. Undertaker won with a Tombstone.

Grudge Match with Stone Cold Steve Austin as Special Guest Referee
Goldberg def Brock Lesnar

Many people say this match was a disaster. The crowd didn’t wasn’t into it because both of them were leaving. After a while of sizing each other up, Goldberg defeated Lesnar.

WWE Woman’s Championship Match
Victoria def Molly Holly

Victoria faced off against Molly Holly and if Holly lost she would be shaved bald. Victoria countered one of Holly’s moves and rolled her up for a three count. After the match Holly tried to run away but Victoria knocked her out and proceeded to shave her head.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match – Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Match
Rikishi & Scotty 2 Hotty def “World’s Greatest Tag Team” (Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas) & “The Basham Brothers” (Danny & Doug Basham) & “APA” (Bradshaw & Faarooq)

WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match – Gauntlet
Chavo Guerrero def Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon, Shannon Moore, Jamie Noble, Funaki, Nunzio, Billy Kidman, Tajiri, Akio

Playboy Evening Gown Match
Torrie Wilson & Sable def Stacy Kiebler & Miss Jackie

Wilson and Sable won when Wilson caught Jackie with roll up.

Grudge Handi-cap Match
Evolution (Randy Orton, Batista & Ric Flair) def The Rock n’ Sock Connection (The Rock & Mick Foley)

Randy Orton got the win for his team when he RKO’ed Mick Foley for a three count. Mick Foley and The Rock shared an emotional embrace after the match.

Grudge Match
Christian def Chris Jericho

Christian won the match when Trish Stratus accidently hit Jericho with an elbow to the face, she thought it was Christian. Christian then hit the Unprettier and got the three count. After the match Trish apologised but then slapped Jericho.

World Tag Team Championship Match – Fatal 4 Way Tag Team Match
Rob Van Dam & Booker T def Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade, “The Dudley Boyz” Bubba & D-Von Dudley, “La Resistance” Rene Dupree & Rob Conway

WWE United States Championship Match
John Cena def The Big Show

John Cena won his first Championship at the expense of The Big Show. Cena used his signature Knuckles and then hit an FU for the win.

Wow, looks good. Just one question: If Benoit is not your champion, are you not going to use him at all? Oh and push Lance Storm please

No offense but if you don't feel comfortable using Benoit then you shouldn't have ended your WM main event with him winning the title. I would have just completely left him off the card and had Triple H vs Michaels. Having him win the Main Event and then not explain why he is gone or not champ other than "I don't feel comfortable using him" is silly. I hope you fix this mistake on Raw by having him retire as champion or something and then have a tournament for the vacant belt. That would relieve you from having to use him but still explain why he isn't champion anymore. Other than that I love the idea for this BTB. I considered doing this about two weeks ago but you beat me to the punch. Do it right do it well, and PLEASE! move Eddie Guerrero to Raw in the draft. Good luck and I'll be reading.

If you don't feel comfortable using Benoit just say he suffered a career-ending injury and he has to vacate the title.

Are you not using Goldberg or Lesnar? It seems like thats two big name stars that you can use and interest a lot of readers. I, for one would like to see either or both stay and have some feuds instead of leaving after Mania.

Denny -> both Lesnar and Goldberg left after Mania.

And to calum - Mania 20 was my 2nd best mania, with 17 as my favorite. I don't really care that you're not giving any explanation to why Benoit isn't used. I don't know why it bothers those guys as to why you had Benoit win and then just don't mention him. I don't mind if JR says "last night at Mania, Benoit won the title. Ladies and gentlemen, we will now have a tourny for the title" without giving any explanations. Who cares, we know why he isn't being used, why do you care so much.

I didn't know, though, that Lita was on Sd! Interesting thought. Oh and I think that since Kane was really dominant (besides for losign to Taker) during that time, so it would be totally A-OKAY to have him as champion, y'know? Like if you decided to have him become champion, that would be cool, catch my drift, haha.

Good luck with this man, I can't wait to see what you do on both brands, as things could go differently so easily. Good luck again!

WWE.COM

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms with the release of Raw superstar Chris Benoit as of today, 15th of March 2004. WWE would like to wish Chris Benoit the best in all their future endeavours.

PWInsider

More reports are coming out as to why WWE terminated former World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit’s contract. Apparently WWE chose to release him because of ‘health issues’. Also WWE have offered a huge compensation sum to Benoit and giving him the opportunity at rehab all payed for by WWE.

The rumour is backstage that WWE are going to be calling up a few Wrestlers from OVH. One of the Wrestlers tipped to be brought up to the main roster is Carly Colon. Carly Colon, is the son of the legendary Carlo’s Colon.

There is another rumour going around that Eddie Fatu is going to sign with WWE in a few days. Apparently one superstar and one former superstar have put the good word to Vince about him. These people are Solofa Jr better known as Rikishi, and Dwayne Johnson better known as The Rock. Both of these people are relatives of Eddie as Rikishi is his older brother and The Rock is his cousin.

WWE RAW Preview

This Monday Night Raw episode eminates from Madison Square Garden, after a great Wrestlemania at Madison Square Garden, the fans will be pumped for this. At Wrestlemania we witnessed a title change in the form of Chris Benoit winning the World Heavyweight Championship. Unfortunately for WWE and Chris Benoit, Chris was released the morning after Wrestlemania. Now we have no World Champion, Triple H will surely make a claim to being the rightful Champion. But will the other competitor in the triple threat have something to say, Shawn Michaels is sure to be very vocal. Will Eric Bischoff announce the new Champion or will he make us wait?

Also at Wrestlemania we saw Evolution members, Ric Flair, Batista and Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton defeat Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection, The Rock and Mick Foley. One of the biggest wins for Randy Orton happened last night. Now tonight on Raw we will witness Randy Orton calling out The Rock. Will The Rock answer; last night was a one night thing so will The Rock return for another night. Don’t forget though Mick Foley is also involved in this. What will happen? See it on Raw tonight.

A good match at Wrestlemania ended with a betrayal. Chris Jericho lost in his match against former friend Christian. Trish slapped Jericho after the match and then shared a kiss with Christian. The WWE fans are now wondering what Chris Jericho will do to get revenge. Not only on Christian but on Trish.

A World Tag Team Championship has been announced on WWE.COM. The team of Sylvain Grenair and Rob Conway will get another chance at the titles against Booker T and Rob Van Dam. This marks the second chance La Resistance gets at the World Tag Team Championships in two days. Who will come out on top? Tune into Monday Night Raw.

Another reason to tune into Raw is the divas. Victoria will have to take on Molly Holly in a rematch for the Woman’s Championship. This means Molly will have the chance at revenge against Victoria after she shaved Molly’s head last night at Wrestlemania. Who will be the new Woman’s Champion?

Possibly the scariest man in WWE is in action as The Big Red Machine Kane takes on Steven Richards. Kane lost to his brother last night and you would hate to be Steven Richards tonight.

All this and more, tune into Monday Night Raw!

Huh, about the Benoit thing, you should have changed the ending and just say he asked for a release to spend time with his family and he has retired from wrestling. I don't care, its your thread.

Anyways, I hope you do a good job with this. I felt 2004/2005 were years that WWE should have capitalized on but kept doing the same stale things week after week, month after month. I look forward to reading your version of the WWE in 2004.

WWE
Monday Night Raw
Madison Square Garden
New York, New York City

Before the Raw credits play a Wrestlemania highlight package is shown:

• Rob Van Damn& Booker T retaining the World Tag Team Titles against La Resistance, Dudley Boyz and Mark Jindrack and Garrison Cade
• Christian defeating Chris Jericho and Trish betraying Jericho after the match.
• Randy Orton is shown RKOing Mick Foley and picking up the victory.
• Molly Holly getting her head shaved after getting beat by Victoria.
• Triple H tapping out to the Crossface.

The Raw credits now play to the sound of “To Be Loved” by Papa Roach. After the credits stop the pyro goes off and the camera pans around the arena showing humorous yet civil signs.

The former World Heavyweight Champion Triple H comes out wearing a suit and a frown on his face. He walks to the ring without acknowledging the fans. He walks over to the other corner of the ring and grabs a mike. He walks back to the middle of the ring...while the fans are booing the hell out of him.

Triple H: Last night was a travesty, I was forced into a match that I didn’t want to compete in. A triple threat for my World Heavyweight Championship.

Even more boo’s come showering down on Triple H.

Triple H: Now my World Championship is vacant.

Boo’s are coming down to Triple H as he stops and looks around the arena.

Triple H: That World Title should be around my waist not in Eric Bischoff’s office. So Bischoff...bring out my championship now.

Even more boo’s come raining down on Triple H. Triple H turns to the stage and waits. Time passes by...

Triple H: Get out here now Bischoff...I want my title back!

Finally a familiar theme plays on the titontron but it isn’t Eric Bischoff’s.

The crowd pop hard when “Y2J” Chris Jericho comes out and makes his way to the ring. He gets in the ring, looks at Triple H and shakes his head and then gets a mike.

Triple H: Who the hell do you think you are...?

Chris Jericho: I...

Triple H: Shut up...I don’t care but this is my time so you better leave this ring before I make you!

A “you sucks” chant begins directed at Triple H as Chris Jericho laughs.

Chris Jericho: Whoa...whoa...hold on there. Before you make me leave the ring...I’ve got something to say.

Triple H: What?

Chris Jericho: Why the hell does a ass clown like you get another title shot.

Pop from the crowd.

Chris Jericho: I’ve noticed something Hunter, whenever there’s a title match...you are involved.

Jericho looks at the crowd.

Chris Jericho:I’m sick of it. Let’s hear what the Jerichoholics have to say shall we...Who would you like to be the World Heavyweight Champion...Triple H?

Huge boo’s come raining down

Chris Jericho: Or Y2J Chris Jericho!

An outstanding pop comes down from the crowd. As Jericho comes turns back to Triple H an “Y2J” chant starts loudly.

Chris Jericho: I think the fans have spoken...

Triple H: Do you think I or Eric Bischoff care about what these fans want?

Loud boos directed at Triple H

Chris Jericho: How about this then...tonight one on one...the Ayatollah of Rock ‘n’ Rolla.

Huge pop

Chris Jericho: Y2J...Chris Jericho takes on Triple H...in a World Heavyweight Championship Match tonight...

Christians theme song plays as Christian comes out to the ring with a microphone in his hand.

Christian: Wait a minute, Jericho why the hell do you get a title shot? I beat you last night and steeled your woman from you.

Boo’s come down on Christian

Chris Jericho: First of all...that slut that you’ve got now...she will betray you sooner or later. Lastly...the reason that I deserve a title match is these fans here.

Huge pop...

Triple H: You two aren’t even in my league...I’m the best Wrestler alive today and because of that I should be Champion.

Christian: Wait...

Triple H: Shut up!

Surprising pop for Triple H. Meanwhile Jericho is laughing.

Triple H: So...will Eric Bischoff hurry up and come out to award me my title.

Shawn Michaels theme plays to the disappointment of Triple H. Shawn struts his way to the ring..

Shawn Michaels: Yeah...Triple H...I think you’ll find that I am the one that should get the title. Last night you tapped out...I didn’t you did.

Triple H: Who asked you to come out here?... in fact...who asked any of you to come out here.

Shawn Michaels: I also heard Hunter...you said you were the best wrestler alive today...you’re wrong.

Pop from the crowd as HBK as a Smirk on his face.

Shawn Michaels: I am the best Wrestler alive today.

A shout comes from the stage. It’s Eric Bischoff who looks mad.

Eric Bischoff: Hold on a minute...Who’s show is this...it’s mine. Nobody can dictate to me who gets a title shot. But seeing as how we need a World Champion.

Bischoff pauses for a second.

Eric Bischoff: Next week on Raw...we will have a One on One World Championship Match.

Triple H: What!? Just give me the title.

Eric Bischoff: Did I ask you to speak.

Pop for Bischoff standing up to Triple H

Eric Bischoff: There will be two qualifying matches tonight to determine who will be in the match next week. Match number one... Christian.

Boo’s from the crowd as Christian is listening intently.

Eric Bischoff: Against “HBK” Shawn Michaels.

Huge Pop as HBK is smiling and Christian has a frown on his face.

Eric Bischoff: And the second qualifying match will be...Triple H against...Y2J Chris Jericho

Another huge pop.

Eric Bischoff: Now get out of my damn ring now!

I’m back plays as Bischoff leaves the stage and leaves the superstars in the ring looking at eachother.

Commercial Break

We get back from the break to the announce table.

Jim Ross: Ladies and gentleman welcome to Monday Night Raw...we’re just one night removed from the grandest stage of them all...Wrestlemania 20. I’m also here with my broadcast partner Jerry The King Lawler.

The King: That’s right J.R, Wrestlemania 20 was off the scales.

Jim Ross: Last night we witnessed the return of The Rock...for one night only. He returned to team with Mick Foley.

The King: To lose to the Intercontinental Champion Randy Orton, Batista and Ric Flair. Foley and Rock got their dues if you ask me.

Jim Ross: Well nobody asked you.

The King: We also saw the travsesty of Triple H losing his World Championship.

Jim Ross: I wouldn’t call it a travesty. We have already started this year off with a bang...tonight there will be two qualifying matches to determine who goes into the World Heavyweight Championship match next week.

The King: The Game shouldn’t even have to qualify. If you don’t see that J.R then you are as stupid as all these fans.

Jim Ross: King your really need to get your head out of Triple H’s ass. I don’t think I can handle another year of you like this.

The King: Well...deal with.

Jim Ross: Anyway, next up, the Wold Tag Team Championship’s are on the line as RVD and Booker T take on La Resistance.

La Resistance, Rob Conway and Syvain Grenair appear on the stage waving the Candian flags. Once in the ring they start to sing the Canadian National Antham but RVD and Booker T came out and stopped them.

World Tag Team Championship
Booker T & Rob Van Dam Vs La Resistance (Rob Conway and Slyvain Grenair

The match started off well with a few near falls by either side. Booker’s side were trying their hardest to keep the match at a fast pace but La Resistance were having none of it. La Resistance had to take a time out when RVD hit an enzurgii kick to Rob Conway. RVD and Booker looked hungry to keep their titles after a great win at Wrestlemania.

The finish came when Sylvain Grenair had Booker in a headlock in the middle of the ring. Booker almost got out of the headlock but Grenair grabbed Bookers hair when Booker tried to run out of the headlock. With the hair in hand Grenair slammed him to the mat. La Resistance tagged each other in, quite frequently until Booker finally got away from the corner. Booker got the hot tag to RVD, RVD ran into the ring taking down both La Resistance with a clothesline. Bounced of the ring ropes again and this time taking them both down again with a spinning kick. Booker then got back in the ring and clotheslined Rob Conway out of the ring. RVD had Grenair to himself now and hit a standing suplex. RVD dragged him to the ropes so he was lying symmetrically to the ropes. RVD bounced off the ropes and hit the rolling thunder. He went for the cover but Grenair got his leg on the ropes.

Suddenly running down from the ramp was evolution member Batista. Batista rolls into the ring. RVD tries to hit Batista but Batista pushes him against the ropes. Causing a dq, RVD bounced back of the ropes into a spinebuster by Batista. Batista now looking down at RVD was then attacked from behind by Booker T but Batista countered and hit another spine buster, then went for the Batista Bomb. Batista is now standing above the tag team champions while motioning that he wants the title around his waist.

Winner and Still World Tag Team Champions
Booker T and RVD

Jim Ross: Batista has left the tag champs down and out in the middle of the ring. It’s a disgrace, why interrupt a great tag team match?

The King: Well J.R, by all means go ask him.

Cut to backstage

We cut backstage where the lovely Stacy Kiebler is standing talking to a stage hand. After she’s finished talking she walks off and while shes walking she says hi to a number of superstars and some of the crew. She gets to a corner and turns, unfortunately for her she bumps into The Big Red Machine Kane. Stacy Kiebler backs off as Kane looks at her and is breathing heavlly. He grabs her by the arm and whispers something in her ear. He drags her down the corridor and the camera fades back to ringside.

Jim Ross: What’s that sick monster doing now.

The King: I don’t want him to hurt Stacy

Jim Ross: You go back there and find them then.

The King: I’d rather not.

Jim Ross: Join us after this break when Shawn Michaels will take on Christian for the chance to become the World Heavyweight Champion.

Commercial Break

Once we return from the commercial break, Christian comes out to huge heat. This time with Trish Stratus, once in the ring Trish walks over and get’s a mike.

Trish Stratus: Y’know...I heard earlier that somebody called me a slut...

The fans start a “Slut” chant to Trish’s dismay.

Trish Stratus: Jericho let me tell you the reason I went with Christian, you didn’t...shall we say...satisfy me.

The fans really boo now

Trish Stratus: Christian on the other hand.

Trish looks at Christian. They walk over to each other and about to lock lips when Shawn Michaels interrupts to the delight of the fans. Shawn walks to the ring while interacting with the fans.

1ST Qualifying Match for the Chance to Win the World Championship
Christian Vs “HBK” Shawn Michaels

The match started off tentaivly, with both men reluctant, eventually the two went at it. Both men were fired up after the opening to the show. You could tell that both men wanted to get to the World Title match next week. The crowd were real into also...heavily on the side of Shawn Michaels. HBK chants rung around the arena throughout the match meanwhile...Christian sucks chants also were heard. Even Trish who was at ringside was getting slut chants. A great match atmosphere which made it an even better match up. The match was fast paced but Christian used dirty tactics to slow it down and get the match in his favour. Trish was the main reason behind the dirty tactics, as she distracted the ref...tripped Michaels up when he bounced of the ropes. Probably the dirtiest trick was when she was distracting the ref and Christian went for a low-blow that drew a two count.

The finish to the match came when they were both on the top rope, with Christian looking to superplex Shawn onto the mat below. Shawn tried to resist with punches to Christian’s sides but to no avail. Christian hoisted Shawn up and hit the Superplex. Christian got a two count, when Shawn kicked out, Christian started to get flustered. He stomped, punched and kicked Shawn while he was on the mat. The ref had to step in and Christian had to make sure that he didn’t break the 5 count. Christian when to pick Shawn up but Shawn knocked Christians arms away and chopped Christians chest. Christian again with the dirty tactics hit Shawn with a poke to the eyes. Christian then threw Shawn to the outside.

The ref had to make sure that Trish stayed away from Michaels and he had to count also. The ref got up to 3 and Shawn still wasn’t moving. “HBK” chants started to fly around the arena. At 5 Shawn started to stir. At 7 Shawn was stood up and finally at 9 he lept back into the ring to the dismay of Christian. Christian picked him up and turned Shawn around...going for the Unprettier. Shawn pushed Christian away and when Christian turned around he got hit by some Sweet Chin Music. Both men seemed out, Shawn looked exhausted but managed to roll over and get a arm on Christian. 1...2......NO FOOT ON THE ROPE.

Christian got the foot on the rope and now Shawn had just deflated, the ref started the 10 count. Both men were still on the mat at 4. Both men then got up at 8, each using the ropes to get up. Shawn went for another SWEET CHIN MUSIC again but Christian sidestepped it and grabbed Shawn and hit the UNPRETTIER. Christian went for the cover...1...2......NO SHAWN GOT THE SHOULDER UP.

Christian with a surprised look on his face...he got angry once more and climbed to the outside, he walked over to the timekeeper and grabbed a chair. Trish ran round to calm Christian down. Christian was having none of it, he turned moved by Trish and went into the ring. The ref grabbed the chair off Christian and moved it to the outside. This distracted let Michaels get up and hit SWEET CHIN MUSIC on Christian. The ref turned around and saw Michaels covering Christian...1...2......3 SHAWN MICHAELS WINS. Shawn has to use the ropes to get up and climb out of the ring, he knows he thought a tough match. Trish is tending to Christian in the middle of the ring.

Winner and through to the World Championship Match
Shawn Michaels

Jim Ross: What a slobberknocker off a match.

The King: Shawn may have won but Christian looked extremely good in that match.

Jim Ross: Oh I’m not denying that...awesome match up.

The King: Sure was but there’s still more to come tonight.

Jim Ross: Join us after the break when Molly Holly will take on Victoria for a rematch at the Woman’s Title.

The King: Plenty more to come tonight!

Commercial Break

RAW returns to see Molly Holly walking down the stage looking very unhappy, she is wearing a wig by the looks of it. She walks over and grabs a mike once she is in the ring.

Molly Holly: You people think this is funny!

Laughter from the fans

Molly Holly: Well I don’t. This isn’t funny at all.

Even more laughter

Molly Holly: Victoria, hurry up and get out here so I can win the Woman’s Championship.

Victoria then appears on the stage holding the title up high, with the fans behind her she walks to the ring.

WWE Woman’s Championship Match
Victoria (c) Vs Molly Holly

The match started off with Molly pulling Victoria’s hair, but Victoria couldn’t retaliate because Molly didn’t have any. After they stopped hairpulling. The match could actually start...wrestling wise. The crowd were pretty flat with this match because they were still pumped from the Michaels and Christian Match. Both woman were evenly matched and it showed.

The finish came when both divas were trading punches in the ring, finally Victoria started to take advantage with her punches. After which, Molly was whipped into the ropes and when she bounced back she got hit with a knee to the midsection. Victoria went for the Widows Peak and got the three count.

Winner and still Woman’s Champion
Victoria

Cut to backstage

We cut backstage where Eric Bischoff is watching the action on a TV. When suddenly there’s a big bang at the door. Triple H has just barged in. Triple H gets right up in Bischoffs face.

Triple H: What’s the big idea Bischoff. I’m a multiple time World Champion. I don’t need to prove myself to be the Champion let alone get a chance to be Champion.

Eric Bischoff: Back off! I did what was best for Raw...

Triple H: Best for Raw? You think putting me in a match against Chris Jericho is good for Raw? I don’t think so.

Eric Bischoff: Let’s get one thing straight. I’m the GM of Raw. I make the decisions not you.

Triple H looks really angry at this and leaves the room leaving Eric Bischoff looking smug. Looks like he’s one this battle with Triple H.

Cut to the Ring

We cut back to the ring where Randy Orton’s theme song plays and he walks to the ring.

Randy Orton: Last night at Wrestlemania 20 Batista, Ric Flair and I defeated one of the best tag teams in history. Mick Foley...

Pop for Mick Foley

Randy Orton: And The Rock

Huge pop for the Rock

Randy Orton: Yeah, you’re cheering now but you weren’t cheering last night when I RKO’d Mick Foley were you?

Heat for Orton

Randy Orton: I watched you when The Rock came out.

Huge pop for The Rock’s name.

Randy Orton: Each and every one of you, you all stood up and screamed you’re hearts out for The Rock.

Orton pauses and smirks, walks around the ring before coming back to the middle of the ring.

Randy Orton: I don’t know...but don’t you remember. The Rock sold out!

Heat comes raining down on Orton

Randy Orton: I guess it’s lucky that The Rock left. That would have saved me the trouble of ending his career.

Another batch of heat.

Randy Orton: With The Rock not around...I focused my attention on winning titles and that’s why I joined Evoultion. Last night The Rock returned for one night only. Well...why don’t we change that? Rock...I’m calling you out!

Surprising pop.

Randy Orton: Come on Rock...be a man and get in this ring.

Orton walks over to the ropes and waits.

Randy Orton: Look at that folks The Rock won’t show up. Well...then I guess Rock is a coward!

Boo’s are pouring down on Orton at this point. But suddenly Mick Foley’s theme plays and the boo’s turn to cheers. Foley walks his way to the ring.

Mick Foley: Randy, just...shut the hell up. Jesus, man. I think The Rock has more important things to do that listen to you. Listen...you may have beaten me last night but I think all these fans want to see Mick Foley Vs Randy Orton.

The fans pop hard

Randy Orton: Wait...wait...wait. You do know that I called out The Rock...not an old hasbin.

Heat

Mick Foley: I may be old...but I can still whip your ass pal.

Randy Orton: Oh you think so huh...

Orton drops his mike and cheap shots Foley. Foley falls to the ground, Orton picks Foley back up and Foley knocks Orton’s arm away and starts to throw some lefts and rights. Now Foley was on top of Orton throwing punches at him which the fans were loving.

The cheers from the crowd changed to boos as they saw Batista and Ric Flair running down the ramp. Both rolled into the ring, now a three on one assault on Mick Foley. Batista picked up Mick Foley and Batista bombed him onto the mat. Orton told Batista to lift Foley up. Orton then hit an RKO, Ric Flair then put the Figure 4 Leg Lock on Foley. Meanwhile, Orton and Batista were stomping on Foley.

The fans were chanting “Rocky, Rocky”...over and over again. Orton went to the outside and brought in two steel chairs. Flair stopped the leg lock and Orton put the chair on the mat, Ric put Foley’s head on the chair. Orton with the other chair hit a concerto. The fans are silent now as EMT’S run down to the ring, Batista stops them from coming into the ring. Orton goes for another Concerto and hits it again.

Orton grabs the Intercontinental Championship and holds it up high. As Evoultion leave the ring admiring their work. We then cut to the announce table.

Jim Ross: What a vile and sick attack! Mick Foley did not deserve this! Who the hell do they think they are!?

The King: Who are they...there Evoultion, also...Foley deserved it, come on. Orton called out The Rock and Mick Foley came out.

Jim Ross: Orton knew The Rock wasn’t in the arena!

The King: Anyway if you’re so upset then do something about it!

...

Jim Ross: Ladies and gentleman the EMT’S have just carried Mick to the back and we keep you updated on his health.

The King:Yeah.

Jim Ross: Moving away from this and onto another subject, watch this replay to see what happened earlier on backstage.

• Stacy Kiebler talking backstage,
• Stacy walking and bumping into Kane
• Kane then dragging her down the corridor

The King: That sick creep, wonder what he’s doing.

Jim Ross: Well he’s in action next. The Big Red Machine takes on Steven Richards one on one. After these commercial breaks.

Commercial Break

Raw returns straight into a replay of Evolutions heinous actions. It shows:
• Orton punching Foley
• Foley fighting back, Batista and Ric Flair run down the ramp
• Batista Bomb, RKO and then Ric Flair locks in the figure 4 leg lock
• Concerto to Mick Foley and then another one
• Finally Evolution leave, leaving Foley blooded in the ring

Straight after the replay we see Steven Richards in the middle of the ring waiting for Kane. Suddenly red pyro goes off and we see Kane walking down the ramp with Stacy Kiebler. Kane’s dragging her by the arm. Once In the ring, Kane instructs Stacy to stand at the apron or else.

“The Big Red Machine” Kane Vs Steven Richards

The match started out with Richards dodging and eluding Kane. Finally though Kane caught Richards and now was in complete control.

The finish came when Kane whipped Richards off the ropes and hit a big boot. Kane then went to the top rope, he then hit a clothesline of the top rope. Finally with Richards down, Kane put his hand up signifying the chokeslam is coming. Once Richards got up he got hit with a chokeslam and Kane got the three count.

Winner
“The Big Red Machine” Kane

After the match, Kane goes to the outside gets a mike and then goes over to Stacy. He drags her into the ring, he then walks to the middle of the ring. While Kane puts the microphone to his mouth Stacy’s trying to get out of Kane’s grip.

Kane: Last night...my brother returned.

The crowd pop

Kane: The Undertaker

The crowd pops even harder

Kane: He returned at Wrestlemania and kept his streak alive.

The give out another pop

Kane: How could he come back. I buried him alive at...

Kane stops and looks at Stacy.

Kane: Stop trying to get away because you can’t!

Stacy’s almost in complete tears now

Kane: I buried him alive at Survivor Series. Taker I’m challenging you to a match at Backlash! And I want you in a buried alive match.

Kane looks at the camera with a smirk on his face. He looks at Stacy and suddenly wraps his hands around Stacy’s neck. The crowd boo at this but Kane doesn’t stop. He says something to her and is about to chokeslam her when...those familier words come over the PA system. “STAND BACK THEIR’S A HURRICANE COMING THROUGH”.

The crowd pop as Hurricane runs down to the ring. Kane turns round and as Hurricane gets into the ring he gets caught with an upper cut. Kane then whips Hurricane off the ropes and into a big boot. Kane picks Hurricane up, hits the chokeslam and leaves with a huge smirk on his face.

Cut to backstage

The camera cuts to the back where Triple H is walking backstage on his way to the ring. Another camera comes up with Chris Jericho walking towards the ring. Both on split screen,

Jim Ross: Next up ladies and gentleman our main event. Former World Champion Triple H takes on “Y2J” Chris Jericho.

A hype video is aired on the titontron.

We got into a dingy looking room. It’s dark and misty. The camera goes around the room before focusing on a figure sitting on a chair.

Narrator: Sometimes, change is needed.

The camera then shows another figure sitting back to back with the original figure. The camera then slowly fades away...with some words on the screen.

“A CHANGE IS COMING”

Cut to the ring

The camera cut back to the ring Chris Jericho’s music is already being played and he is making his way to the ring. He’s playing to the crowd as he waits for his opponent. “Y2J” chant’s start up.

Finally Triple H comes out to a chorus of boos from the fans. Triple H just shrugs them off. As Triple H is standing on the apron, Chris Jericho runs at him and hits him to the mat. Jericho goes out after Triple H and took him back in the ring.

Last Qualifying Match For The Chance To Become The World Champion
“Y2J” Chris Jericho Vs “The Game” Triple H

After Jericho’s early attack he was fired up and didn’t let up on Triple H. Just like the previous qualifying match, the crowd were really into it. Chants were coming for Jericho meanwhile boo’s for Triple H. Both men were really trying their hardest, and it showed. Triple H took control about half way through the match and got a few near falls. Each time Jericho kicked out, Jericho really wants to get a chance at the World Championship, as did Triple H.

The finish came with Triple H in control with Jericho grounded in the middle of the ring. Triple H had a harsh looking sleeper hold in, the crowd started chanting for Jericho as the ref was checking if he was still conscious. The ref lifted up Jericho’s arm,1...Jericho’s arm went down...2...goes down another time......NO Jericho keeps his arm up which gets a huge pop from the crowd. Jericho thought his way up; once he was up he elbowed Triple H in the gut a few times before trying to bounce off the ropes. As Jericho bounced off the ropes, Triple H ran right up and hit a running knee. Triple H then went for the cover...1...2......Kick out!

Triple H immediately picked Jericho back up and moved him into the corner. Triple H gave Jericho a few chops and then whipped him into the other corner. Triple H then ran at Jericho but Jericho got the boots up. Triple H staggered backwards and then got hit by a clothesline. Jericho was fired up now and he whipped Triple H into the corner. Jericho ran after him and as Triple H staggered out of the corner, Jericho hit a running bulldog. Cover by Jericho...1...2...NO Triple H kicks out. Jericho got straight back up and attempted a lionsault but Triple H got his knees up.

Once both men got they went toe to toe, punch after punch with each other. Each punch Triple H threw was met with boos meanwhile Jericho’s punches were met with cheers. The exchange stopped when Triple H kneed Jericho in the gut. Triple H then grabbed Jericho by the neck and threw him to the outside. Triple H then fell to his knees in tiredness. Jericho meanwhile on the outside was trying to get up as the ref was up to a 4 count. Jericho got back in the ring at 7 and went back to Triple H. As Jericho went over to Triple H, Triple H grabbed the front of Jericho’s tights and pulled them towards him which caused Jericho to land on the second rope. Both men were down again, Jericho holding his neck and Triple H lying on his back. The ref started to start the 10 count. He got to 3 before both started to stir. Chants for Jericho to get up started. At 6 they both got up. Jericho used the ropes to get up so he was standing next to the ropes. Triple H ran at Jericho but Jericho flipped Triple H over his head and over the ropes.

Jericho looked at Triple H and waited for Triple H to get up. As Triple H got on the apron, Jericho ran at the turnbuckle and spring boarding of the second turnbuckle and drop kicking Triple H to the mat. Triple H back and he got hit by Jericho who dived over the top rope. The ref started to count them out. Both men got up at 4 but they didn’t get back in the ring. They were throwing punches on the outside and then Triple H threw Jericho into the steel steps. Triple H then picked up Jericho and went for a pedigree but Jericho countered into the Wall’s of Jericho. Jericho put Triple H in the walls of Jericho and Triple H was tapping but it was on the outside.

However the ref was already up to a 9 count. Jericho just relized this and tried to get into the ring but as he dived into the ring the ref counted to 10. Resulting in a draw. Jericho stood up and started to argue with the ref. Finally Triple H came into the ring and he started to argue with the ref. Both men were arguing with the ref now. They then turn to each other.

Last Qualifying Match for the chance to win the World Championship
Chris Jericho Vs Triple H
Draw

Jim Ross: What does this mean for the World Championship match next week.

The camera then fades away with Jericho and Triple H staring at each other.
