TNA Sacrfice 2009 Results:

Suicide (c) fought Christopher Daniels to a draw for the TNA X-Division Championship

After Daniels won via interference from the Motor City Machine Guns, he insisted the match be restarted with a five minute time limit. Neither Daniels nor Suicide could claim a pinfall during the five minute period, and Suicide retained the TNA X-Division Championship.

Daffney w/ Abyss defeated Taylor Wilde in the TNA Knockout Monster's Ball

After Daffney defeated Taylor Wilde, Abyss refused to chokeslam Taylor Wilde through a pile of thumbtacks as Dr. Stevie requested. The Impact Zone was then surprised to witness the return of Raven, who nailed Abyss with The Raven Effect on top of the pile of thumbtacks. Raven, Dr. Stevie, and Daffney then raised their arms in the ring over Abyss and Taylor Wilde.

The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) w/ Rob Terry defeated Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode) in the Finals of the Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament

With the referee distracted by Rob Terry, Doug Williams took advantage and knocked out both members of Beer Money with the Feast or Fired briefcases they stole from LAX a few weeks prior. After the match, Magnus and Williams refused to shake the hands of Team 3D, instead slamming both of them with the briefcases.

Angelina Love (c) defeated Awesome Kong w/ Raisha Saeed for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship

With none of her Beautiful People colleagues ringside, Love's chances to defeat Awesome Kong didn't look too good to start the match. Kong got the better of the Knockout Champion for most of the match, but with the referee distracted, Love sprayed hairspray in the eyes of Kong and then hit her Light's Out finisher. Infuriated after the match, Kong got her revenge byhitting several devastating Implant Buster's on Love.

Samoa Joe defeated Kevin Nash

In a match that had been culminating for over a year now, Joe easily got his revenge over his former mentor. Joe's victory came by way of a Rear Naked Choke, which he held far after Nash tapped out. Knowing the damage had been done, Joe left an unconscious Nash lying in the ring.

A.J. Styles (c) defeated Booker T in an I Quit Match for the TNA Legends Championship

Both competitors were pushed to their physical limits in an I Quit Match that saw both men come close to having their limbs snapped off. But when it was all said and done, Styles was able to lock in his flying arm-bar submission hold on Booker, who finally gave in after enduring the hold for over a minute.

Sting defeated Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, and Jeff Jarrett in an Four Way Ultimate Sacrifice Match

In a match that as much potential long term effect as any in TNA history, Sting was able to steal a victory by pinning Kurt Angle after Jarrett hit Angle with a Stroke from the top rope onto a steel chair. The win by Sting over Angle means Sting will now overtake Angle as the godfather of the Main Event Mafia.

Don't know why but I have a good feeling about this BTB. Maybe its just the sleek formatting, or the sick banner, but I'll be keeping up with this man.

It does look very well presented, just like Green Terror funnily enough, and you both have the same I.P. Address. Co-incidence?

5/28/09 Impact Preview:

- In the Four Way Ultimate Sacrifice Match last Sunday, Sting was able to pin Kurt Angle to pick up the win, meaning he is now the new godfather of the Main Event Mafia! Due to the shift of power, will we see any changes within the Mafia? And what will Kurt Angle's reaction be to his demotion?

- For months, TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett and Executive Shareholder/World Heavyweight Champion Mick Foley have not been on the same page, leading to a division of power within the company. With neither effected by the outcome of the Ultimate Sacrifice match, what comes next in the clash between these two?

- Speaking of the World Heavyweight Champion, Foley will be defending his belt against four other men at Slammiversary in the King of the Mountain Match. Qualifying matches are expected to begin this Thursday on Impact, but who will Foley be defending his championship against at Slammiversary?

- After the first ever Knockouts Monster's Ball at Sacrifice, Raven made his return to TNA and helped Dr. Stevie by DDT-ing Abyss into a pile of thumbtacks. But why did Raven come back to TNA, and what can we expect this Thursday from his newly formed group of himself, Dr. Stevie, and Daffney?

- Also at Sacrifice, the British Invasion defeated Beer Money, Inc. in the Finals of the Team 3D Invitational Tag Team Tournament. This Thursday, Team 3D is expected to present the trophies and the check for $100,000 to the British Invasion. But after their post-match altercation at Sacrifice, can we expect more sparks to fly between the two rival tag teams?

All this and much more on Thursday's huge Impact broadcast as we head towards Slammiversary on June 21st!

TNA Impact - May 28th, 2009

Quote:
A video package airs highlighting the results of Sunday's Sacrifice pay-per-view.
* Daniels is shown with obvious devastation and disappointment after failing to recapture the X-Division Championship.
* Raven, Dr. Stevie, and Daffney hold their hands high over Abyss after the returning Raven DDT-ed Abyss into a pile of thumbtacks.
* Doug Williams is shown hitting both members of Beer Money, Inc. with the stolen Feast or Fired briefcase. Afterward, the British Invasion is then shown denying Team 3D's congratulations and hitting them with the briefcases.
* A fatigued Angelina Love has her hand held high after retaining her TNA Women's Knockout Championship, but Kong's revenge after the match was the highlight of this match.
* Samoa Joe is shown choking the life out of Kevin Nash in the middle of the ring, even after 'Big Sexy' had already tapped out.
* Highlights from the TNA Legends Championship Match are shown, concluded by Booker T surrendering due to an armbar by AJ Styles. Booker T is then pictured with the medical staff examining his arm.
* Jeff Jarrett is then shown hitting The Stroke on Kurt Angle from the top rope, but Sting sneaking in and pinning Angle to become the new godfather of the Main Event Mafia. While Sting's hand is being raised, Angle and Jarrett's faces are filled with shock while Mick Foley claims tight to his title belt.
* CROSS THE LINE *

The Impact Zone crowd is on their feet cheering as the pyro goes off throughout the Impact Zone and this week's TNA Impact gets underway.

Mike Tenay: Last Sunday at Sacrifice, we saw match results that will change TNA forever. But the most shocking of all came in the Main Event, when Sting pinned Kurt Angle to become the new godfather of the Main Event Mafia. With Sting in control, what changes will be made to the Main Event Mafia? I'm sure---

* MAIN EVENT MAFIA *

Almost right on cue, the Main Event Mafia music hits, and the group of champions make their way to the ring. The new godfather, Sting, leads the group down to the ring as a saddened Kurt Angle brings up the rear, obviously not used to his new position. After the music dies down, Sting grabs a microphone from David Penzer and begins to address the rest of the Mafia.

Sting: After I won the Ultimate Sacrifice Match last Sunday at Sacrifice, I went back to the locker room and thought. I thought about what changes needed to be made to our group now that I am in charge. And then I remembered back to that October night in Las Vegas when the Main Event Mafia was formed, and I remembered why we formed this group in the first place. We formed this group in order to bring respect back to the wrestling business, but somewhere along the line, are goals changed. And then it hit me. Now I know that each and every one of us has held a World Championship in our wrestling careers; we're some of the best to ever come into this business.

The rest of the Main Event Mafia members nod their head in agreement.

Sting: But when it comes to being a successful group, it comes down to whether or not we want to get the job done. Now I've seen you guys beat down some of the baddest guys in this business, so I know that as a group if we want something, we can get it. But there lies the question. Do you want to bring respect back into this business, or are you just in this for yourself?

Throughout the ring, all the members of the Mafia look surprised that they've been called out by their new godfather, Sting.

Sting: It's up to you. Next week, at the start of Impact, we're going to come back out and you all are going to give me your answers. Think long and hard, gentlemen.

Sting exits the ring as the other members of the Main Event Mafia stay in the ring shocked. The camera then cuts to the announce table as the rest of the Mafia heads back up the entrance ramp.

Mike Tenay: Wow, what a bombshell Sting just dropped on the Main Event Mafia! He's made his message simple: if you don't want to help bring respect back to this business, you have no right being in this group.

Don West: Well it's quite a shocker indeed, Mike, and I for one can't wait until next Thursday to see whether the Main Event Mafia will remain intact.

Mike Tenay: And that's just the start of a great show we have planned for tonight. Also on tap, we are expected to hear from TNA Executive Shareholder and World Heavyweight Champion Mick Foley about the King of the Mountain qualifying matches, which are scheduled to start tonight.

Don West: Also on tap for tonight, after her convincing win at Sacrifice, Angelina Love will address the Impact Zone with her partner Velvet Sky back for the first time since being unfairly beaten down by Awesome Kong.

Mike Tenay: Wait a minute. Convincing win? Unfairly beaten down? Anyways, we're also going to see Team 3D present their Tag Team Invitation Tournament trophies to the British Invasion, and also a check for $100,000. All this and much more coming up tonight on Impact. But right now, we head backstage to Lauren, who is standing by with Christopher Daniels.

The camera cuts to backstage where Lauren is standing with a serious-looking Christopher Daniels.

Lauren: Christopher Daniels, last Sunday at Sacrifice, you pinned Suicide for a three count and won the X-Division Championship! But, you later found out that you won the match thanks to interference from the Motor City Machine Guns, and requested five more minutes where you failed to get a second pinfall, meaning Suicide is still the X-Division Champion. Now my question is, why did you not just take the win?

Christopher Daniels: Lauren, you must not know me, but that's just not what I'm about. Every time I enter that ring and the bell sounds, I try to wrestle with the utmost amount of honor and dignity. Accepting a win that I didn't earn in the first place isn't something that I could look at myself in the mirror and be happy about. But still, that doesn't change the fact that the X-Division Championship isn't around my waist. When I came back to TNA, my goal was to bring honor back to the name Christopher Daniels. And I'm going to do whatever it takes, because until I do that, I'm not going to be remembered as 4-time X-Division Champion or a 6-time Tag Team Champion. I'm just going to be remembered as that guy who got fired.

Daniels storms off as Impact heads to commercial.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

* 1967 *

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is an X-Division King of the Mountain qualifying match and is scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, from Detroit Michigan. Accompanied to the ring by Alex Shelley, he is one-half of the Motor City Machine Guns... Chris Sabin!

The crowd throughout the Impact Zone gives a mixed reaction as Sabin and Shelley make their way down the entrance ramp, holding up their hands and pointing to their right palms, symbolizing they are "Made in Detroit".

Mike Tenay: An interesting new tradition to be started this year at Slammiversary, with an X-Division King of the Mountain Match to go along with the Heavyweight King of the Mountain Match.

Don West: I can't wait for the X-Division King of the Mountain Match, Mike. We know what these X-Division wrestlers are capable of, and the risks they're willing to take. The X-Division King of the Mountain Match has the ability to steal the show, no doubt in my mind.

* WINGS OF A FALLEN ANGEL *

David Penzer: And his opponent, from the City of Angels. He is the Fallen Angel... Christopher Daniels!

Daniels receives a big pop from the crowd as he makes his way to the ring with a serious look on his face, knowing that winning this match could be the first step on his road to redemption.

Mike Tenay: We heard from Christopher Daniels before the break, and I gotta tell you, I've never seen him as determined to succeed as I did when I watched him in that interview. Think of the embarrassment of getting fired from TNA after being as successful as Daniels was. He's on a mission to prove just how good he really is.

Don West: Well Mike, we already know how good Daniels is. We saw him back in the early days of TNA Wrestling as a multiple time X-Division and World Tag Team Champion. Then we saw him get fired and come back under the Suicide mask and win the X-Division Championship again. And if it wasn't for a lack of communication between Suicide and Daniels, Suicide would've remembered that he was supposed to lose to Daniels at Sacrifice, and Daniels would be the champion again!

Mike Tenay: Wait a minute. You still believe that Daniels was the one under that Suicide mask?

Don West: Come on, Michael, it's fairly obvious to anyone with a brain inside their head that Daniels was Suicide.

Daniels stares down Chris Sabin as he gets a few last minute pointers from his partner, Alex Shelley. Referee Slick Johnson signals for the bell to ring.

Match 1 - X-Division King of the Mountain Qualifying Match
Chris Sabin w/ Alex Shelley vs. Christopher Daniels

Ending:
Daniels has just begun to seize the momentum of this match. Sabin, realizing this, decides to exit the ring and take a "time out". He goes over to his partner, Alex Shelley and they begin to talk but Daniels comes out of nowhere and hits a suicide dive through the ropes! Both members of the Machine Guns go down as the crowd goes crazy for Christopher Daniels. Daniels rolls Sabin back into the ring and goes for a pin but Sabin gets his shoulder up before the count of three. Both men are now on their feet, trading shot for shot. Daniels begins to get the better of it, but Alex Shelley distracts referee Slick Johnson, and Sabin hits Daniels with a low blow! Daniels falls to his knees in pain while the crowd boos the actions of Chris Sabin. Sabin then picks up Daniels and goes for the Cradle Shock, but Daniels is able to free himself from the hold. Sabin immediately runs up to referee Slick Johnson, disrupting his view as Alex Shelley, who was standing on the ring apron, kicks Daniels in the back of the head. Daniels falls straight to the ground and Sabin goes for a pinfall... and gets the win.

Winner: Chris Sabin via pinfall (8:30)

Sabin and Shelley celebrate their win as they head to the back while Daniels sits disappointed in the ring. The camera then cuts backstage when Jeremy Borash is in the office of TNA Executive Shareholder Mick Foley.

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm here with TNA Executive Shareholder and World Heavyweight Champion Mick Foley. Now Mick, a lot of people want to know, as do I, who you're going to be giving the chance to go against you and three other competitors against at Slammiversary in King of the Mountain Match.

Mick Foley: J.B., you and everyone else will find out very soon just who I'll be defending my title against at Slammiversary. I've got four qualifying matches planned for the next few weeks that are going to knock every one's socks off.

Mick gets up from his chair and begins to exit the room until he's stopped by Borash.

Jeremy Borash: Wait, Mick, just when are we going to find out?

Mick Foley: Very soon, J.B. But first, I think I'm going to get some Chinese food. Have a nice day.

Foley exits his office as J.B. has a confused look on his face.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

* WATCH OUT, WATCH OUT *

Brother Ray and Brother Devon come out of the tunnel to a huge cheer from the Impact Zone crowd. Both members of Team 3D have their TNA World Tag Team Championship slung over their shoulder as they make their way to the ring. In the ring, are the trophies and check that they will be presenting to the winners of their Tag Team Invitational Tournament, the British Invasion.

Brother Ray: After we won these TNA World Tag Team Titles at Lockdown, me and my Brother Devon here decided we wanted to give back to tag team wrestling. So we made our Invitational Tournament, and we saw some of the greatest tag teams from around the world compete for trophies, $100,000, and a shot at our TNA World Tag Team Titles.

The crowd begins to chant "TNA! TNA!"

Brother Ray: And although they may not be anyone's personal favorite, I don't think there's any denying that The British Invasion are indeed worthy of winning the Tournament.

The crowd begins to boo at the reference to The British Invasion

Brother Ray: But afterward, we extended our hands in order to congratulate them, and what did they do? They hit me and my Brother Devon in the head with their stolen briefcases!

More boos come from the crowd.

Brother Ray: With that said, we have some business to take care of. Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, the winners of the Team 3D Invitation Tag Team Tournament... The British Invasion.

* GLADIATOR *

Brutus Magnus, Doug Williams, and Rob Terry make their way down the entrance ramp with their briefcases in hand and smirks on their faces. The Impact Zone crowd continues to boo the winners of the Team 3D Tag Team Invitation Tournament. Once they get in the ring, a stare-down begins between them and Team 3D.

Brother Ray: Now we're going to be honest here. Me and my Brother Devon here, we don't like you guys. But we respect you as one of the best tag teams in TNA, so we're going to let bygones be bygones for the time being. On to the---

Before Brother Ray even gets the chance to present the trophies, The British Invasion take matters into their own hands and attack Team 3D with their briefcases. The 3-on-2 numbers advantage proves to be just too much for the 22-time World Tag Team Champions to overcome, and The British Invasion have their way with them. As they try to set up a table to put one of the members of Team 3D through, both Brother Ray and Brother Devon escape the ring. Team 3D heads to the back as the British Invasion hold up their trophies and a check for $100,000.

Mike Tenay: The British Invasion make another statement to Team 3D. With the recent confrontations between these two gone sour, you can bet their contest at Slammiversary is going to be very heated and very physical. Now to the back, where Jeremy Borash is with Eric Young.

The camera cuts to the back where Jeremy Borash is standing with a disgruntled Eric Young.

Jeremy Borash: I'm here with Eric Young, and Eric, it seems as of late you've been kind of unhappy with where you stand on the TNA roster. It almost seems as though TNA Management has forgotten you existed, and you need to insist just to wrestle. But your recent pleas have paid off, because later tonight, you'll be in an X-Division King of the Mountain qualifying match against Kiyoshi.

Eric Young: J.B., ever since I came to TNA, I've been a laughing stock, an afterthought. But that ends tonight. Eric Young's time is now, and when I beat Kiyoshi and move on to Slammiversary, I'm not going to hold back. I'm going to show everyone what I'm about, and just how good I really am. That X-Division title is going to be around my waist where it should be. Losing is not an option.

Impact cuts to commercial as Eric Young storms off.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

* SHOWTIME *

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is an X-Division King of the Mountain qualifying match and is scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, from Nashville, Tennessee... 'Showtime' Eric Young!

Eric Young comes out to a modest cheer from the crowd. Young looks very focused to become the second qualifier for the X-Division King of the Mountain Match.

Mike Tenay: Earlier on Impact, we saw Chris Sabin defeat Christopher Daniels to become the first qualifier for the X-Division King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary. Now we have the second qualifying match, as it will be Eric Young taking on Kiyoshi.

Don West: And Eric Young needs badly here, Mike. It's like he said, he's been a laughing stock in this business for years and he wants to turn his career around. No better way to do it than winning the X-Division Championship, and with a win tonight he gets one step closer.

* LIGHTNING FLASH *

David Penzer: And his opponent, from Osaka Japan. Accompanied to the ring by Sheik Abdul Bashir... Kiyoshi!

The Impact Zone crowd boos the pairing of Kiyoshi and Sheik Abdul Bashir as they make their way to the ring.

Mike Tenay: Lately, we've seen Sheik Abdul Bashir and Kiyoshi combine together their anti-American attitudes. And I gotta tell you Don, it just makes me sick the way they're against this land of opportunity.

Don West: There you go again, Mike. Why do you always have to judge these two? They're very misunderstood and I know that if you just sat down and talked with them, you'd know just what they're about.

Eric Young stands outside the ring with the same focused look in his eyes as Kiyoshi and Bashir continue to receive heat from the crowd. Young climbs back into the ring, and this match is underway.

Match 2 - X-Division King of the Mountain Qualifying Match
Eric Young vs. Kiyoshi w/ Sheik Abdul Bashir

Ending:
With Eric Young recovering on the ground, Kiyoshi goes to the top rope. Kiyoshi's attempt at a moonsault fails as Eric Young rolls out of the way. The crowd seems to will Eric Young to his feet. Both competitors get to their feet. Eric Young nails Kiyoshi with a punch, then another. Eric Young then whips Kiyoshi to the ropes and lifts him up for the Death Valley Driver. Young connects and goes for a pin, but with opportune ring positioning, Bashir from the outside was able to place Kiyoshi's foot on the ropes to break up the referee's count. Referee Andrew Thomas notices this and tells Bashir to leave ringside. Kiyoshi then begins to argue on behalf of his partner, but Young rolls him up from behind and gets the pinfall!

Winner: Eric Young via pinfall (6:53)

Eric Young rolls out of the ring while celebrating his victory. Referee Andrew Thomas also exits the ring to raise Young's hand while Kiyoshi is on his knees, shocked at his loss.

Mike Tenay: We now know that Eric Young will be a part of the X-Division King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary along with Chris Sabin and the Champion, Suicide. We're going to take a commercial break, but when we get back, I hear Mick Foley's going to announce the King of the Mountain qualifying matches for his TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

Impact resumes in Mick Foley's office, where TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett comes storming in while Mick is eating his Chinese food.

Jeff Jarrett: Mick, I just wanted to let you know that if you had any plans of "tweaking" the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary, you'd better think again. That King of the Mountain Match is one of TNA's greatest traditions, and I don't want to see a lunatic like you mess that up.

Mick Foley: Simmer down there, Jeffrey. With us being business partners and all, I think you have to have a little more confidence in me. I did, after all win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Lockdown despite needing 25 stitch-aroonies in my eye. And I also defending this championship last Sunday at Sacrifice against three of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot in a ring. But since you reminded me, I need to go announce the King of the Mountain qualifying matches, you might want to keep an ear on it. Now if you'll excuse me, Jeffrey...

Mick Foley gets out of his chair with his title belt over his shoulder, and heads out the door. Meanwhile, Jeff Jarrett has a confused look on his face.

* BANG BANG *

Mick Foley comes out to a mixed reaction from the Impact Zone crowd. Multiple times on his trip down to the ring, Foley puts his hands in a gun position and yells "Bang Bang!".

Mick Foley: Now I'm sure you're all anxious to hear who's going to be in the qualifying matches for the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary.

The crowd gives a modest cheer for Foley as they anticipate the matches.

Mick Foley: Now despite what Jeff Jarrett might like to think, I picked the best wrestlers TNA has to offer to be in the qualifying matches. There will indeed be one qualifying match taking place tonight. And it will feature 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner...

Boos come from throughout the Impact Zone.

Mick Foley: And a man Steiner has been friends with for a very long time, 'The King of the Mountain' Jeff Jarrett. There will be two qualifying matches next week as well, and---

* MY WORLD *

Jeff Jarrett comes out from the back in street clothes, obviously frustrated with Mick Foley's decision to put him in a match against Scott Steiner.

Jeff Jarrett: Mick, I should've known. You're just trying to stir the pot around TNA, aren't you. Now listen, Scott and I are good friends. Sure we've had our rough patches lately, but we're still---

Mick Foley: No, you listen to me Jeffrey! I can understand if you're afraid of Scott Steiner, most people in the world are. But that match has already been finalized, and if you don't want to compete, you're going to have to forfeit the match.

Jarrett, obviously offended, begins to make his way down to the ring.

Jeff Jarrett: Mick, I'm not afraid of anybody.

Jarrett enters the ring and gets face-to-face with Foley. Neither man seems ready to throw the first punch yet.

Mike Tenay: Obvious power struggle going on between Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley. We now go to the back, where Lauren is standing by with The Beautiful People.

The camera cuts to backstage where Lauren is standing with Angelina Love, the TNA Women's Knockout Champion, and Velvet Sky.

Lauren: Angelina, congratulations on retaining your Knockout Championship at Slammiversary. But after the match, you got annihilated by Awesome Kong. Now I hear you've issued an open challenge to any TNA Knockout, but given your physical condition, is that really a good idea?

Angelina snatches the microphone from Lauren.

Angelina Love: Listen, Lauren. I am the TNA Knockout Champion. Sure, Awesome Kong may have beaten me down after the match, but I still won, didn't I? Tonight, if any Knockout wants the honor of getting beaten by me, they can have it.

Angelina hands the mic to Velvet.

Velvet Sky: You see, it's simple. No Knockout can beat us because we're The Beautiful People... and they're not.

Velvet hands the microphone back to Angelina as she goes and kisses the camera. Angelina shoves the microphone into Lauren's chest as both Angelina and Velvet walk off.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

* ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER *

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following is a Knockouts Open Challenge and is schedule for one-fall. Introducing first, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Accompanied to the ring by Velvet Sky, she is one-half of the Beautiful People... Angelina Love!

Angelina Love and Velvet Sky come out from the back to a negative reaction from the crowd. After performing their normal poses on the entrance ramp, the duo makes their way to the ring. The two enter the ring in their normal fashion, by straddling the ring ropes and shaking their butts.

Mike Tenay: After watching that interview before the commercial break, it appears that Angelina Love is awful confident in her abilities, even after the beating she took at Sacrifice. Yes, she won the match, but I think it's certain that Awesome Kong got her revenge after the match.

Don West: Well, Mike, I have to say Kong's actions after the match should get her a fine or suspension. That's no way to treat the Champion, Mike. And if you'll allow a Beautiful People Insider to step in... I talked to Angelina and she said she was issuing this open challenge because she doesn't want people to forget just how good she really is. Even though she beat Kong convincingly at Sacrifice, she doesn't want people to think she's weak just because she got beaten down afterward.

* BROKEN *

David Penzer: And her opponent, from Los Angeles, California. She is the newest TNA Knockout... Victoria!

Shock goes into the eyes of both Angelina and Velvet as Victoria comes out from the back. The crowd gives Victoria a great cheer as she makes her way to the ring.

Mike Tenay: What a minute, what a surprise this is! Angelina Love issues an open challenge, and it's answered by one of the greatest female wrestlers in the business, Victoria!

Don West: Well, certainly Victoria is one of the best female wrestlers. But the thing is, Mike, Angelina is the best, she's the Champion. As good as Victoria is, I don't think it's anything Angelina can't handle.

Victoria enters the ring and stares down both members of The Beautiful People. Velvet Sky is hesitant to leave the ring, knowing Victoria is ready to attack her partner at any moment. Love tells Sky she's fine and ready, Love rolls out, and Rudy Charles rings the bell for the match to begin.

Match 3 - Non-Title Knockout Open Challenge
Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky vs. Victoria

Ending:
After a back and forth match between two strong competitors, Angelina goes for the Bicycle Kick, but Victoria ducks under and avoids the contact. Victoria then kicks Angelina in the gut, and scoop slams her down to the mat. Before Angelina has a chance to react, Victoria hits a standing moonsault on the champion! She goes for a pin, but Angelina kicks out after a two-count. Victoria then picks up Angelina and kicks her in the gut again. She brings her into a powerbomb position, lifts her up, and hits her with the Widow's Peak! Victoria goes for the pin, but Velvet Sky breaks it up from outside! Instant disqualification for Angelina Love by Rudy Charles.

Winner: Victoria via disqualification (6:39)

Both members of The Beautiful People begin to beat down Victoria. They set up for the Makeover (Bicycle Kick/Russian Legsweep Combination), but just like she did during the match, Victoria is able to avoid contact with Love's foot and rolls quickly out of the ring before any damage can be done. Impact heads to commercial as we see Victoria signal that the belt is going to be around her waist very soon.

------------------------------ COMMERCIAL BREAK ------------------------------

* BIG POPPA PUMP *

David Penzer: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a King of the Mountain qualifying match and is scheduled for one-fall. Introducing first, from Detroit Michigan. Big Poppa Pump... Scott Steiner!

Scott Steiner comes out from the back with his head dress and sunglasses on and his signature lead pipe in his hands. The Impact Zone crowd swarms Steiner with boos, but 'Big Poppa Pump' just shakes them off as he makes his way to the ring.

Mike Tenay: It's been well documented how close Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner have been in their lives outside of wrestling. As Steiner said a few weeks ago, he used to take care of Jarrett's kids for him from time to time. But after the two were forced into a match by Foley a few weeks ago, it seemed as though that relationship was gone. Now they face off again tonight, with a spot in the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary on the line.

Don West: Well, quite frankly Mike, I think Jeff Jarrett needs to suck it up. This is a business, and just because you're the founder of TNA doesn't mean you might not have to face someone who you consider your friend outside the ring. It's a business.

* MY WORLD *

David Penzer: And his opponent, from Nashville, Tennesee. He is the King of the Mountain... Jeff Jarrett!

Jeff Jarrett comes out to an enormous pop from the crowd. Jarrett holds up his trademark guitar as his pyro goes off. Before Tenay and West can even get in a word, Steiner charges Jarrett on the ramp. The bell is not rung because Jarrett's feet never touched the ring, but the brawl is on.

Match 4 - King of the Mountain Qualifying Match
Scott Steiner vs. Jeff Jarrett

Ending:
With referee Earl Hebner knocked out after a collision with Scott Steiner, Steiner exits the ring to go and fetch a steel chair from over by the announce table. Steiner rolls the chair into the ring and looks like he is about to hit Jarrett, but Jarrett dropkicks the chair right into Steiner's face! Steiner goes down immediately, but referee Earl Hebner has awoken. Hebner sees Steiner down with the chair in the ring, thinks he's put two and two together, and disqualifies Jarrett.

Winner: Scott Steiner via disqualification (9:39)

Steiner has his hand raised in victory by Earl Hebner while Jarrett pleads his case. Jarrett has the look of a man who was just robbed in the middle of the ring, but he's shocked to hear...

* BANG BANG *

Mick Foley comes out with his TNA World Heavyweight Championship around his shoulder and a microphone in his hand.

Mick Foley: Hold it right there, Scottie. Now as much as I love a steel chair, I, as well as everybody else watching, saw that it was you who brought that chair into the ring. Being in the position of power that I am, I'm going to do what any great man would do in this situation... and I'm going to restart the match.

Scott Steiner goes ballistic in the ring after having his win taken away.

Mick Foley: But Scott, since you like to use chairs, I'm going to tweak the match and make it a No-Disqualification Match. Gentlemen, have a nice day.

The bell is rung again as Jarrett and Steiner resume combat.

Match 4 1/2 - No-Disqualification King of the Mountain Qualifying Match
Scott Steiner vs. Jeff Jarrett

Ending:
Scott Steiner grabs the steel chair he brought into the ring earlier, as well as the lead pipe he brought to the ring at the beginning of the match. Steiner throws the steel chair at a dazed Jeff Jarrett, who catches the chair out of instinct. Steiner then swings the lead pipe right at the chair, which cracks Jarrett over the head! Steiner goes for a pinfall but Jarrett kicks out just in the nick of time. Steiner then positions Jarrett on the top turnbuckle, and looks to go for a belly-to-belly suplex, but Jarrett is able to fight it off and hit Steiner with The Stroke from the top rope! Jarrett covers and gets the three count!

Winner: Jeff Jarrett via pinfall (3:27)

Jeff Jarrett celebrates his victory as Impact fades to black.

END SHOW

Default Re: TNA Wrestling 2009 - A Competent Alternative

6/4/09 Impact Preview:

- Last week on Impact, Sting told each member of the Main Event Mafia to think about whether or not they wanted what was best for the group, or if they were just in it for themselves. Sting plans to open the broadcast by getting the answers, but what will the members of the Main Event Mafia have for an answer?

- In last week's Main Event, TNA Executive Shareholder Mick Foley pitted Jeff Jarrett against his long-time friend Scott Steiner, with the winner moving on to the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary. This move angered Jarrett, but after being disqualified, Foley came out and restarted the match and saved Jarrett! Why did Foley do this, and what will Jeff Jarrett's reaction be?

- Speaking of the King of the Mountain Match at Slammiversary, there are two qualifying matches scheduled for Impact, and also one X-Division qualifying match. Who will get one step closer to gaining one of TNA's illustrious championship belts at Slammiversary?

- Also on Impact last week, we saw The British Invasion once again get the better of Team 3D during 3D's presentation of the trophies for their Invitational Tag Team Tournament. This week on Impact will be a rematch from the Finals of that tournament, as it will be The British Invasion taking on Beer Money, Inc. But will Team 3D get involved?

- Last week on Impact, we were expecting to hear from Raven as to why he returned to TNA. But last week, Raven was nowhere to be found. Will the sadistic Raven come out of the shadows on this week's show, and will we finally find out why he returned to TNA?

All this and much more on Thursday's huge Impact broadcast as we continue towards Slammiversary on June 21st!
