Smackdown Feedback

Kicking off the show with a bang is always a good thing, and I liked the way we left the opening video to go straight to the brawl. The action in the match was pretty intense, with a lot of hard hitting. Finlay came out of the match looking like a total badass, which he needed to do so with Saturday night in mine, and there was no shame in Super Crazy's loss, as he came out of it looking strong too. Always good when you can write a match where the loser gains something from it. As for the post match... Finlay calling out Lashley is a very facelike move imo. I'm kinda surprised he would do so, as these impromtu brawls usually always favour the face. As for JBL, his involvement suggests Lashley/JBL at Mania. Perhaps JBL gets involved at SNME to further that?

JBL's promo was all in character so no complaints there. Suprised at the mention of the previous Henry/Long partnership. I realise it's typical for a heel to look for excuses when it suits him, but that seemed a bit odd. Apart from that, it was a good promo. JBL/Lashley at Mania seems a cert now.

OK, unbelievable nitpicking on my part here, but I'm pretty certain you've confused Brian Kendrick with Bryan Danielson in the introductions, as it's Danielson who comes from Aberdeen, Washington, not Kendrick. But I only know that cos I'm Scottish and we've got the original Aberdeen over here. But yeah, the match was a good read. I especially liked the way you played up the friendship/partnership between the two, with the handshake at the start and London helping Kendrick back up at the end.

Hardy's promo for the most part seemed to have him feeling sorry for himself. I'd have rather him seem more vengeful throughout the promo, and not just at the end. Partner of choice must be Jeff no? MNM/Hardyz at Mania would be sweet if it happens.

Benoit dominates, no surprise tbh. The promo was fine, served it's prupose. Jordan coming out to clap is a nice touch, as was the commentary that came with it. It adds a little bit more intrigue to the US Title match at SNME. I dunno what way Jordan will go. I feel he'll side with Booker to give us Booker/Benoit at Mania, but I could be way off with that.

The Edge promo was much better than what we'd heard previously. I laughed at 'the man' as it always reminds me off hippies! But yeah, very well written, especially the rundown of the blue brand. It added spice to the Edge/Batista match which tbh it needed. Typical Melina promo tbh, no complaints here. Her accepting the challenge was to be expected.

Mysterio/Dean was a nice match to read. Again well done for giving the loser a bit of a rub in the process. The promo afterwards... well, this line "That was a pretty good match, huh guys?" seemed really forced tbh. Once Rey started talking about the CW division the promo kicked on a bit, especially with the open challenge. Surely someone other than Kash will answer the call, leaving Mysterio/Kash for another day. Could even be a sneaky Kash attack after the bell tommorrrow night. Intriguing situation you've put together here.

Orton surely has to lay out Batista this Saturday? It must happen. Plz?

Ooft, tons of hype here. Have already gave an opinion on the SNME video and the lack of J.R. video so I won't metion them again. Nice shillin job from Cole and Tazz. Good call on replaying the events from NWO. Can't wait to hear what RVD has to say about it all.

Kash's promo was right on the money But yeah, Rey > Juvi any day of the week. Seemed a tad strange for Kash to compare the two. Apart from that, another well written, in character interview that served it's purpose.

Great main event. Loved the action, loved the Angle/Cena brawl, loved the opportunism of Edge at the end. Really no faulting this match. It sets things up nicely for SNME. But yeah, surely Orton will strike against Batista tommorrow night?

Another good show. So many angles and stories leading into SNME and beyond. Really can't wait for SNME and I'll be back to make some predictions when the preview goes up.

Smackdown Feedback

I've also enjoyed shows where the show has already started before it "officially" starts. Good way to start the first ever "Belfast Brawl". Crazy shows off most of the crazy spots in this match, which is what I was anticipating. Although he missed one, I think Crazy went for one too many moonsaults in this match tbh. Not an 'exciting' finish, but it did the trick. Finlay with the win makes sense since its his specialty match debut. Kinda rough having Finlay wrestle a brawl tonight and tomorrow night as well. Didn't expect a call out form Finlay, but JBL attacking Lashley was good. Lashley will probably move onto JBL after he's done with Finlay. Nice little transition having Lashley involved in more than one thing at once. Oh and for some reason I laughed when Finlay added a bit more damage to Lashley. I'm pretty weird eh?

JBL explaining his actions right after the break eh? Quite quick. I usually don't like it when wrestlers stray away from the interview question only to come back and actually answer the question, but you pulled it off quite smoothly here. Loved the finishing lines as well. Entertaining promo here.

Kennedy as a young Ric Flair? Nahhh. Disgusting, slimy people? Don't know how slimy works for people. Does that mean they have like mucus everywhere or something? =P Kennedy joining the commentating for this MITB qualifier could be interesting. Doubt he'll start something with the Hooliganz though. Nice to see you pit London and Kendrick against each other. Springboard SSP? I marked. I've always liked London more than Kendrick so I'm glad you gave it to London. He should be the spot monkey of the MITB match.

CM Punk vignette. Once again, I'm glad you're bringing him in. Great addition to SD.

You did it again with Matt Hardy! Straying away from the question and then getting to it towards the end. This one I didn't enjoy as much as JBL's promo though. Hardy just seemed to rant. I like the challenge he issued, but it's gonna be tough for him without any help. And tbh, if Hardy were able to beat MNM by himself, he deserves the titles right away. So I don't know about that decision. On the other hand, a new partner of his choosing is also interesting. So I'm 50/50 with this decision.

Wow. Squash much? Guess the squash gives Beniot time for a promo. Short, but sweet here from Beniot. He gets the point through, and hypes the match up. Glad you didn't do an enormous promo here, as it would have been too many long promos at this point. Don't know why Orlando came out at the end there though. Confusing to say the least.

Edge just ripping on everything that's SD is quite funny. I think the promo ended a little abruptly, but some good content in this promo nonetheless. I'm sure mayhem will ensue in the match later on.

MNM interview? A lot of interviews tonight eh? I've actually haven't seen the "in the know" promo from MNM before. You think someone would have come up with it already? But no, haven't seen it before. Great idea. Melina accepts the challenge, which was expected. Heels don't back down from a match that they have advantage in. Pretty good promo here. Used all the normal lines that work with MNM so props on that.

Rey wins cleanly, and a promo after? Tons of promos tonight. I think Rey should have just issued the cruiserweight challange, and left. I think he ranted too much about stuff that could have been dealt with using fewer lines. Excited for this open cruiserweight challenge though. Expecting a guy like Dean Malenko or Chris Jericho tbh.

Most of the time, these 'informal' promos turn out awkwardly, but this one wasn't too bad. I don't see Orton turning to heel tactics just yet. I think he'll keep on going with his innocent persona for awhile. Nice to see the tension between the two is there though.

Huge rundown for SNME and Taker/RVD recap. Good stuff. Jim Ross for HOF is good too.

Loved Kash last week, but this week, it feels all the same. The Juventud reference/masked hero line was good though.

Orton not tagging in during the main event is quite awesome. Basically a three on one match. Didn't really expect Edge, Angle and Cena to work so well together (before the end of course). The tension between Batista/Orton could be cut by a wire though. I'm expecting fireworks from these two next SD or even at SNME because of this match.

Solid show as usual. Promos were a little long and definitely plentiful. Seems like you're putting a lot of attention into this promos, which is good, but some feel overdone. Storylines and feuds are progressing nicely with no real big movements in any of the feuds. Seemed like a hype show for SNME with barely any attention to anything else, but it makes sense as its your going away show. SNME should definitely be interesting. Looking forward to it.

Thanks for the feedback for SmackDown! guys. Much appreciated. I'm going to go back to what Nige said in his feedback for RAW about Johnny. Yes, the new name is odd. It's a name he's used since his WWE days, and honestly, I think it's cooler. However, when I have to type out thingds involving Johnny, I confuse myself. So we'll just pretend he was always Johnny Jeter. I know, I'm cheating, but this is BTB.

Anyway, onto other matters …

March 4th, 2006 | Joe Louis Arena; Detroit, Michigan

This Saturday marks the return of the landmark wrestling show that dominated through the ‘80s, bringing superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Paul Orndorff and many, many more into the homes of people around the world, as Saturday Night’s Main Event makes its epic three hour return, live from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan, with a stacked card sure to be causing excitement.

Clash of the Champions:
WWE Champion Edge vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista

The return of Saturday Night’s Main Event is perhaps the biggest event on the road to WrestleMania, and what better way to show this than putting together the two biggest stars in the entire WWE, the WWE Champion from Monday Night RAW, and the World Heavyweight Champion from Friday Night SmackDown!, and putting them together in the same ring, the title of the greatest wrestler in all of the WWE at stake? It doesn’t get any bigger than this, with the two champions, Edge and Batista set to go one on one for the very first time.

Despite WrestleMania being the main focus for these two men, both have been looking forward to this encounter, and there have been multiple shots fired along the way. The first was by the WWE Champion who, following Batista competing in a tough match on SmackDown! two weeks ago with Finlay, snuck in through the crowd and dropped the big man with a Spear, making the first impact. Batista, however, would return the favour last week on RAW, when, after losing to Kurt Angle & John Cena, the two men who have been gunning for him, in tag team action, Batista would make sure Edge’s night went from bad to worse when he made his way down to the ring and delivered an arena shaking Batista Bomb, making a huge impact. Edge would still have the last laugh though, as last week on SmackDown! he was able to pin Batista in a huge interbrand match, featuring Batista and his challenger for WrestleMania, Randy Orton, taking on Edge and his two possible challengers for WrestleMania, John Cena & Kurt Angle. Will Edge be able to do the same thing at Saturday Night’s Main Event and prove himself the supreme champion, or will Batista gain revenge and prove himself to be the true champion?

Number One Contender to the WWE Championship:
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena

Edge may be facing Batista at Saturday Night’s Main Event in the Clash of the Champions, however, that’s not the only match he’ll have to worry about, as his two main rivals and two men who are rather familiar to one another, Kurt Angle and John Cena will battle it out for the right to challenge Edge for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 22. Having both had their problems with Edge, it is thought that both men have legitimate claims to being the challenger at WrestleMania, thus RAW General Manager, Eric Bischoff arranged for this match.

For John Cena, his dream of holding the WWE Title was taken away by Edge when he stole the WWE Title from Cena at New Year’s Revolution. Having started the Elimination Chamber match and warded off the challenge of five other superstars, Cena must have been in heaven, despite the pain shooting through his body. That heaven, however, would turn to hell when Edge would cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase that he had won all of the way back at WrestleMania 21 and defeat John Cena in an impromptu match to capture the WWE Title. Since then Cena has been hell-bent on recapturing the title that most feel he never truly lost. This led to a rematch between Edge and Cena at the Royal Rumble, with Cena this time going in at full fitness. Cena gave it his all, and there were multiple times throughout the match when he looked to have the title won, only for Lita to prove the decisive factor, eventually allowing Edge to hit the Spear and pick up a tainted victory over Cena. Ever since this night, Cena has been working night in and night out to get a shot at the title, though this may be the only way he can earn one.

Kurt Angle, meanwhile, was on his own mission. Having failed to capture the title fairly off Cena so many times before, Angle couldn’t believe that someone like Edge could just sneak in the back door and steal the title from Cena. Angle let his frustrations be known, telling Edge that he didn’t deserve to be champion, and that if Edge were to face him, or even Cena for that matter, he would no longer be champion. Edge retorted that unlike Angle, he had actually beaten Cena, and that meant he was better than both men. He said that he would once again prove that by beating Cena at the Royal Rumble, and that if Kurt Angle truly wanted a shot, he too should win at the Royal Rumble in the Royal Rumble Match and earn a title shot, because there was no other way he was getting it. Angle set himself to do just that, becoming the dominant member of the RAW roster in the run up to the Rumble, ditching his manager Daivari and giving himself a brand new focus. Angle looked damn near impossible come Rumble time, however, as it would turn out, he could be stopped, when attacked from behind backstage that is, as a bloody Angle was eliminated last from the Rumble by Randy Orton, thanks mainly to a sneak attack backstage which caused Angle to be injured before he even entered the match. We would later learn that the perpetrator of the attack was Edge, who Angle, along with Cena (who took extreme offense to being a suspect of Angle), had suspected all along.

So now these two intense rivals will go one on one, a chance to face the man they both loathe for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 22 on the line. Which man will be able to achieve their dream of entering themselves into the main event of WrestleMania, and which will fall into obscurity? Who will set themselves for the ultimate revenge against Edge?

Street Fight:
Shawn Michaels vs. Shane McMahon

It’s the feud that has been the talk of RAW. After being sparked three months ago, this story, which spans back to nine years ago, has taken the WWE by storm. The son of the boss against the man who helped the boss pull of the ultimate screwjob nine years ago in a Street Fight.

It was three months ago that Mr. McMahon having reminisced about the infamous Montreal Screwjob, came out in front of the world and bragged about it, about what he had done to Bret Hart, and how Bret Hart would forever be remembered by that one single moment. Basking in his “glory”, Mr. McMahon was having the time of his life until the other half of the match that fateful night in Montreal, Shawn Michaels came out. Although Shawn didn’t mind being apart of it at the time, he told the chairman that he was tired of hearing about it, especially from McMahon himself, and that perhaps it was time to move on. Shawn pointed out that nine years had passed, and everyone had grown up a little since then … except for Mr. McMahon. The boss was none too pleased with these words from Shawn, telling him in no uncertain terms that he would make his life hell for trying to embarrass him. And that’s exactly what McMahon did, setting Shawn Michaels up in matches where he couldn’t use his own finishing move, in handicap matches where the goal of his opposition was to simply make him bleed, along with placing him first in the Elimination Chamber and Royal Rumble matches. McMahon’s motivation for this? He wanted the old Shawn Michaels back. McMahon said the only time he would relent would be when the old Shawn Michaels, the Shawn Michaels from the days of the screwjob, made his return.

Mr. McMahon then brought his son Shane into the picture at the Royal Rumble. Fearing a Michaels victory, Vince covered all bases, addressing the whole WWE locker-room, Triple H alone, and his son Shane, all in the hope that someone could eliminate Michaels. Most of the men in the match struggled to complete McMahon’s goal, including Triple H, leading Shane McMahon to interfere and try to eliminate Shawn, only to inadvertently eliminate Triple H, before Gregory Helms would ultimately eliminate Shawn. This didn’t go unnoticed by Triple H, who was extremely pissed following the perceived double cross by the McMahons on him after he had just agreed to help them out. Triple H actually came out on RAW the next night and confronted his old friend and rival Michaels, telling him the McMahons were right. The only way to get back at them was to show them attitude … together. While Shawn was doubtful at first, it all came full circle as Triple H and Shawn reformed D-Generation X in order to battle the McMahons, showing them what attitude is all about.

This has led the McMahons to attempt to divide and conquer DX in recent weeks, with the likes of The Redneck Wrecking Crew, Carlito, Chris Masters and The Spirit Squad lending their assistance. This has brought us to Saturday Night’s Main Event, where with Triple H barred from the arena, Shawn Michaels will face Shane McMahon in a Street Fight. Will the McMahons indeed divide and conquer, or will Shawn Michaels prove too strong at Saturday Night’s Main Event?

Number One Contender to the World Tag Team Championships; Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match:
Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. V-Squared vs. The Basham Brothers vs. The Redneck Wrecking Crew

Having seen the current World Tag Team Champions, Kane & Big Show spend five months on top of the tag team pile and look comfortable in doing so, RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff set up this fatal four way tag team match to find the team most qualified to provide the champions with a challenge come WrestleMania 22. For three of the teams involved, a shot at the champions would mean the world. V-Squared have never been tag team champions, and would love the chance to become them for the very first time at WrestleMania. The Basham Brothers are fresh off a move to Monday Night RAW, and getting a shot at the tag titles would prove their dominance early. And for The Redneck Wrecking Crew, this would provide a chance for redemption, having been the team that lost the gold to Kane & Big Show five months ago. The only team who appears disinterested in the shot is former World’s Greatest Tag Team, Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin, who Bischoff has forced to compete, despite their unwillingness to team together. Who will win the match and come out with the shot at WrestleMania? Find out this Saturday night.

United States Championship:
Booker T © vs. Chris Benoit

For Chris Benoit this shot has been far too long in the making. Having dominated SmackDown! as United States Champion in the summer of 2005, Benoit was approached by his then friend Booker T, who was after a shot at the gold following a tongue lashing from his wife Sharmell, calling him a loser. Benoit, being the fighting champion that he is, accepted the challenge, and the two engaged in a few heated matches, with Benoit just coming out on top each and every time. This led to one final challenge from Booker, one more match between the pair. It was in that match that Booker stole the title from Benoit, thanks to his wife Sharmell interfering. At first Booker pretended he knew nothing of this, before attacking Benoit and telling him he had taken him for a sucka. The two would wrestle soon after, and this time it would end in a double pin draw, prompting SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long to declare the title vacant, with a best of seven series between Benoit and Booker set to ensue to determine who truly deserved the mantle of being United States Champion.

Booker took an early lead in the series, dominating his foe to a 3-0 lead. However, midway through the series Booker would become injured, and he would have Randy Orton substitute in for him. Benoit got the score back to 3-3, when in the final match, interference from Booker and his protégé Orlando Jordan would provide Orton the win, and Booker the title. Benoit tried to get right back to action, asking for a United States Title shot at No Way Out, citing that Booker wasn’t the man to beat him, only for Booker to turn him down, saying he was too injured. Benoit then changed his focus to Jordan, bringing up the numerous embarrassing losses he had suffered at the hands of Benoit the previous year, giving him a chance at No Way Out to make up for it, with the stipulation that if OJ won Benoit would never challenge Booker again, but if Benoit won he would get a shot at Booker. Jordan accepted the match, and at No Way Out it was on, with Orlando proving his best ever performance, coming near to defeating Benoit, only for ‘The Rabid Wolverine’ to pull out the victory.

In recent weeks Benoit has got into the head of Booker, showing Orlando Jordan respect for his effort at No Way Out, with Booker angered by OJ losing and causing him to defend his title against Benoit, his injury now proven to be fraudulent due to his interference at No Way Out. Now at Saturday Night’s Main Event Benoit finally has his shot. Can he capture the gold that he longs for, or will Booker somehow remain his grip on the title?

Belfast Brawl:
Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay

Perhaps the most promising rookie in all of the WWE is the young ‘Dominator’, Bobby Lashley. Having stormed onto the scene last September, Lashley has gone undefeated since and left a trail of destruction behind him, including an amazing performance in the Royal Rumble Match where he eliminated more superstars than any other man, including both of the gargantuan World Tag Team Champions, Kane & Big Show. However, one man has stood up to Lashley, showing no fear, instead embracing the almighty fight. That man? ‘The Fighting Irishman’, Finlay. The tough Irish bastard has never backed down from a fight, and despite losing to Lashley, has since come back and caved Lashley’s skull in more than once with his signature shillelagh, leaving the rookie monster laying.

Finlay had planned on snapping Lashley’s undefeated streak at No Way Out when he teamed with The Bluebloods to take on Lashley, Paul London & Brian Kendrick in six man tag team action, only for Lashley to win the match by pinning Finlay following a Spear. Since then Finlay has upped the ante, challenging Lashley to a Belfast Brawl at Saturday Night’s Main Event and showing just what it is he can do in his signature environment, defeating Super Crazy last week on SmackDown! in the very first Belfast Brawl. That wasn’t all Finlay did for the night either, as following the Belfast Brawl he called Lashley out, and again slammed the shillelagh into his skull, albeit thanks to some interference from John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield, who Lashley had crossed paths with the previous week. At Saturday Night’s Main Event there is a lot on the line. For Lashley it is his undefeated streak, and for Finlay it is his pride, having never beaten Lashley. Will Finlay prevail in his own special match, or will Lashley be victorious once again?

Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Invitational:
Rey Mysterio vs. ???

Not only does this Saturday mark the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event, but it also marks the return of Rey Mysterio to the cruiserweight division. A former eight time Cruiserweight Champion, until recently Mysterio had been attempting to make an indentation on the heavyweight ranks, achieving that feat at No Way Out when he beat the previously undefeated Mr. Kennedy to show he can compete with the best and biggest. Mysterio, however, would declare his intentions to return to the cruiserweight division on the very next SmackDown!, interrupting the Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash. Kash, who after defeating all of the other cruiserweights on the roster, was none too happy to be interrupted, questioning Rey’s motives. When Rey declared his intention to go back for the cruiserweight gold, Kash scoffed at the claim and told Mysterio he had to earn a shot, and that while he may have been the king of the division eons ago, Kash was the new cruiserweight king. Quite simply put, he was the man.

This led Mysterio to here. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, in his return to the cruiserweight division, Mysterio intends on showing not just Kid Kash, but everyone his credentials when it comes to the cruiserweight division. Will Mysterio make a triumphant return to the division that many say he made, or will his mystery foe get the best of him?

Handicap Match:
Matt Hardy vs. MNM

Perhaps the most personal match on the card is this one, with Matt Hardy set to take on the WWE Tag Team Champions, MNM in a one on tag handicap match. It all started a few months ago when both Shannon Moore and Matt Hardy picked up wins over the tag champs in singles contests, “embarrassing” the champs as MNMK put it, for they were far too good to loose to the likes of Hardy & Moore. This brought about an attack on Moore from MNM, only for Matt to make the save, reuniting him with his childhood friend in a battle against the tag champs. Come No Way Out, the newly reformed duo of Hardy & Moore challenged MNM for the WWE Tag Team Championships, only to not just come up short, but also lose Moore to a serious neck issue, thanks to MNM.

In the nights following No Way Out, MNM went back to the party scene where they live in Hollywood and gave numerous interviews, declaring Moore & Hardy not good enough, as mere country hicks, before coldly stating that Shannon Moore had everything coming to him for even daring to challenge MNM. A still fighting Matt Hardy took exception to these words, and on the next edition of SmackDown! he acted on his anger, smashing a camera into the face of both pretty boy champions after masquerading as a cameraman. On the last SmackDown! before Saturday Night’s Main Event, Hardy would lay down the gauntlet. A handicap match at the grand return of Saturday Night’s Main Event whereby if he wins he gets a shot at the tag team titles; if MNM were to win, he would leave with his tail between his legs, suffering the ultimate embarrassment. MNM gleefully accepted the match and declared their worries would be over come Saturday Night’s Main Event. Would this prediction prove correct, or would the people of Cameron rally behind Hardy as he predicted, and allow him to pick up the victory and future title shot?

Rob Van Dam calls out The Undertaker

It was at No Way Out when Rob Van Dam attacked The Undertaker in a match with John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield, seemingly costing him the match for absolutely no reason. In the time since, RVD has tried to offer up an explanation to The Undertaker and his fans, only to be blocked by RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff. RVD went to the board of directors about the Bischoff situation, and they have granted him time to address both The Undertaker and his fans at Saturday Night’s Main Event. What will Van Dam have to say, and will he indeed challenge The Undertaker to a match at WrestleMania?

Mickie James calls out Women’s Champion, Trish Stratus

Since arriving on the scene on Monday Night RAW, Mickie James has declared that all she wants to do is be Trish Stratus’ friend, calling Trish her idol. While at first it seemed an innocent friendship, in the past few months Mickie has appeared more sinister, a series of accidents almost injuring Trish and costing her the Women’s Title. This whole situation got even more intense when last month Mickie scared Trish’s other friend on RAW, Ashley out of the WWE, and then a few weeks ago seemingly attacked Trish’s best friend from outside wrestling, a woman by the name of Rebecca, when she was visiting RAW. At Saturday Night’s Main Event Mickie promises to address Trish and explain all to her. Will she justify her actions, or will Mickie have no explanation for what she has done?

Predictions Template:
Clash of the Champions:

WWE Champion Edge vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista
I see Orton making an Impact and costng him the victory, after him "pretending" to be Batista's friend and tag team partner since NWO. I also would assume you give Edge some momentum heading into the PPV seeing as chances are you'll have him lose the title to Cena/or Angle giving a feel good face victory at the end of the PPV. Would make sense.

Street Fight:
Shawn Michaels vs. Shane McMahon

I see an upset happening, McMahon's having some guys run in like the Redneck Wrecking Crew and such. HHH will also make a short appearance to help Michaels but it may be too much.

Number One Contender to the WWE Championship:
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena No Contest / Draw / Screwy Endng leading into a 3 Way at the event

Number One Contender to the World Tag Team Championships; Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match:
Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin
vs. V-Squared vs. The Basham Brothers vs. The Redneck Wrecking Crew

They haven't been able to work together for a couple of weeks and wanted to go alone, if they take the titles they have to work together and continue their storyline with the Bashams. It would make sense.

United States Championship:
Booker T © vs. Chris Benoit

Belfast Brawl:
Bobby Lashley
vs. Finlay

Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Invitational:
Rey Mysterio vs. ???

You could use this as a chance to debut some great cruiserweights. Not sure who you would but in doing so you won't have them lose their first match adn all signs of momentum, they would win or at least look good from a booking standpoint it would be smart to do so. I have no idea who it is but I am guessing someone along the lines of maybe Sydal/Bourne or even Lance Storm. I remember you having a thing for him in Legend's thread and saying in a review how much you wanted him to be used.

Handicap Match:
Matt Hardy
vs. MNM

Bonus Questions:
1) What will the match order be? The order in which the predictions were presented
2) What will be the longest match? The Shawn Michaels/Shane McMahon match
3) What will be the shortest match? Bellfast Brawl
4) Who will accept Rey Mysterio's open cruiserweight challenge? Any of the two I just mentioned
5) How many matches will end in a pinfall? Submission? Other? Benoit to win by Crossface. so 1
6) Will we have any surprise appearances from someone not listed on the rosters? If yes, then by who? HHH in the Shane/Michael's match and maybe VInce
7) Will both of the advertised promos result in WrestleMania matches being made? Yes the Undertaker will play mindgames and answer RVD's challenge
8) Will be there any face/heel turns? If yes, then by who? RVD turning heel against the Undertaker if he isn't already, seeing as between the two Undertaker is the msot over and would ultimately become the face and the one who is cheered.

Looks like a massive event.

Ill try my best to get something up.

Predictions Template:
8. Clash of the Champions:
WWE Champion Edge vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista
I'm guessing Orton, and possibly Angle or Cena, will interfere, and Edge will capitalise with the Spear. That's what I think, anyway.

6. Street Fight:
Shawn Michaels vs. Shane McMahon
I think you'll hold off on the big pay-off where the faces come out on top until 'Mania, and I fancy Triple H to come bursting through the ranks of security, and Vince will probably make them hold him and make him watch while HBK gets the crap beaten out of him.

1. Number One Contender to the WWE Championship:
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena
No contest. I'm looking forward to a Triple Threat at Wrestlemania, tbh, and I can't see one guy coming out with a clean finish here. Maybe a DQ for one of them, but I'll call it a no contest for whatever reason. Double count-out could also work, I suppose.

3. Number One Contender to the World Tag Team Championships; Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match:
Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. V-Squared vs. The Basham Brothers vs. The Redneck Wrecking Crew
I love the WGTT storyline, and they haven't much reason to stay together as a team after this unless you have them become No. 1 Contenders to the titles. I'd like the angle to continue, so I figure this is the best way to do it.

7. United States Championship:
Booker T © vs. Chris Benoit
I have a feeling this match might not fit into the 'Mania card, and one of these guys might end up in MITB - I think this is your pay-off match for this feud, so I'm tipping Booker to tap out to the Crossface in a big mark-out moment.

2. Belfast Brawl:
Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay
I think Lashley has bigger things to move on to, so I guess he'll go over, though Finlay will give him a massive fight for it.

4. Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Invitational:
Rey Mysterio vs. ???
Whoever it is, it'll be a great one.

5. Handicap Match:
Matt Hardy vs. MNM
I fancy somebody to come in, distract MNM, and allow Matt to win it. Either that, or a DQ in Hardy's favour.

Bonus Questions:
1) What will the match order be? See above.
2) What will be the longest match? Street Fight.
3) What will be the shortest match? Mysterio's challenge.
4) Who will accept Rey Mysterio's open cruiserweight challenge? I'd say Super Crazy, but if memory serves, he's just been in that Belfast Brawl with Finlay, so I'll call Psicosis.
5) How many matches will end in a pinfall? Submission? Other? 5 pinfalls, 2 submissions, and 1 other.
6) Will we have any surprise appearances from someone not listed on the rosters? If yes, then by who? Yes. Jeff Hardy.
7) Will both of the advertised promos result in WrestleMania matches being made? No, just one of them, RVD and Undertaker, I'm guessing.
8) Will be there any face/heel turns? If yes, then by who? Yeah. I know you said you wouldn't do it, but I think you'll swerve us and have RVD go heel. It would probably make the feud a bit more personal and all.

Default Re: The World Wrestling Entertainment

Predictions Template:
8.Clash of the Champions:
WWE Champion Edge vs. World Heavyweight Champion Batista
Orton to cost Batista, as I said in my Smackdown review.

6.Street Fight:
Shawn Michaels vs. Shane McMahon
Trips to try interfere. Spirit Squad maybe to get involved?

1.Number One Contender to the WWE Championship:
Kurt Angle vs. John Cena
No contest IMO. Triple threat at Mania.

5.Number One Contender to the World Tag Team Championships; Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match:
Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. V-Squared vs. The Basham Brothers vs. The Redneck Wrecking Crew
They're the team with the active storyline right now so I see them getting the win here.

2.United States Championship:
Booker T © vs. Chris Benoit
I think OJ will cost Benoit, leading to a rematch of sorts at Mania.

4.Belfast Brawl:
Bobby Lashley vs. Finlay
JBL could give the win to Finlay, but I think Lashley will be featured more prominently at Mania. So he wins here.

7.Rey Mysterio Cruiserweight Invitational:
Rey Mysterio vs. ???
Pretty obvious he should win, unless there is shenanigans.

3.Handicap Match:
Matt Hardy vs. MNM
I called Jeff returning in my Smackdown review so I'll stand by that.

Bonus Questions:
1) What will the match order be? See above.
2) What will be the longest match? Michaels/McMahon.
3) What will be the shortest match? Tag Team Four Way.
4) Who will accept Rey Mysterio's open cruiserweight challenge? Super Crazy, after his prominent role last Friday.
5) How many matches will end in a pinfall? Submission? Other? 6 Pinfalls, 2 Other.
6) Will we have any surprise appearances from someone not listed on the rosters? If yes, then by who? No.
7) Will both of the advertised promos result in WrestleMania matches being made? They better.
8) Will be there any face/heel turns? If yes, then by who? Not tonight.
