The BTB Newsletter March/April/May Edition

Welcome one and all to the latest edition of the BTB Newsletter. This marks what is a first, as Szumi will not be involved in any column writing of any kind, which is a sad thing. Still, I have enlisted the help of three other well known and respected BTB'ers in the section to keep this thing alive for you all, and Szumi has acted as the editor in chief.

Note: After the bullshit that was brought about after the last Newsletter, there had better be none of that crap this time around. The bookers who work on this for the section give up their own time to bring you this, and anybody who complains about jokes, references or not getting a mention (deserved or as is usually the case, not) will hopefully be dealt with by one of our moderators. This is meant to be a bit of fun, and at the same time provide you with insight on the BTB section.

With that warning being posted, I'd like to open this edition with an article that nearly EVERYONE in this section needs to take a long look at, and that is TKOW's Feedback & Review article...

TKOW Presents: The Difference Between Feedback and "Review"

In case you’re wondering, I’m using the Georgia font in relation to the booker who, before me, wrote about the topic that I am going to discuss below. Who is it? Szumi, of course.

A few years ago - 6th August, 2007 to be precise - Szumi wrote an article for the BTB Newsletter, where he discussed/ranted about the bookers’ habit of not giving each other feedback - you know, something that’s actually going to help the reader - but handing out “reviews”, which do nothing for the writer and plant the seed for the beginning of the awful “review for review” system between the two bookers.

So...almost 2 years later...has anything changed?

It would seem some have learned their lesson, and are actually contributing to the development of another’s writing by providing some solid feedback. On the whole though, I can still go through the section and see the majority of replies to bookers’ threads being nothing but ramble. In some cases, we can see the usual sycophants (copyright © Chris Jericho, 2008) - or in simpler terms, arse-lickers - replying to threads only in a measly attempt to gain a response to their own thread.

Pathetic.

Chances are if you’re reading this, I’ve been here longer than you. What does that mean exactly? It means I’ve been here long enough both to develop as a member of the BTB Section (and indeed WF as a whole), and it means I’ve been able to stand back and watch the section progress over time through its threads and members. Some things have changed and some things haven’t. Guys like The_Showstopper, Red Cold, Forever-Delayed, and many others have moved on from the section, but legendary bookers like Wolf Beast are still here, the occasional shitstorm still occurs, and Kanefan continues to “amaze” us all with his monthly projects.

OK, I’ve gone a little off-topic, but the point I’m trying to make is that through all the time I’ve been here as a member (nearing 5 years now), despite the odd few, in general people still aren’t getting what “feedback” actually is. Instead, people have continued the trend of handing out “reviews” rather than actual feedback. Now let’s just pause for a second. Just so everyone can understand, let’s differentiate between what “feedback” is, and what a “review” is.

Allow me to use Szumi’s definition of a “review”:

Quote:

Not anything about what their thoughts about it was, just plain and simply recapping what happened.

The man they call, the “führer” of BTB, pretty much hit the nail on the head here. A “review” is, 90% of the time, simply a recap of what has actually happened on the show. It doesn’t provide any analysis, any constructive criticism; it just tells the writer what he the writer has written, then adds a little line or two on whether he actually likes what’s happening or not!

Feedback is what all bookers should be providing each other with. Feedback is what helps someone develop as a booker. Feedback helps the booker improve his work and understand how to master the art of booking. Yet, most bookers like to reply to each other’s threads with comments such as “ ... = god; good decision to push him” or “Here comes HBK, let’s see what he has to say. YES! HBK is facing Angle at Vengeance!”.

I don’t want to read what I’ve already written do I!? If you think I do, please stop reading and go book an appointment to get your head examined right now. Now luckily enough, I don’t get too much of that in my own thread but that’s because I refuse to abide to the “review for review” system. If I had decided to use this god-awful method, I’m pretty sure my thread would be cluttered with useless comments and opinions. I’ll leave blasting “review for review” for another day, considering I could spend a whole column moaning about that.

I’ve taken the liberty of taking a booker’s recent “review” of Wolf Beast’s latest RAW as an example to the rest of the forum of what you all should NOT be doing. I have read through the review and "crossed out" anything that does not benefit the writer, does not have any relevance to the booking/writing, talks about his own opinion rather than what is happening, or does not give any advice/opinion on a particular angle/match etc. Yes, The_Absolute: you're about to be nitpicked.

So, the promo ends with Foley “losing his mind.” That’s not a good sign for HBK.

Awesome tag team opener. I like how the respectful duos battle it out at the end, followed by the face win. Not sure what to think of Kennedy’s actions. A mid-carder striking a woman? At the top of the show? And what’s this? Bischoff owns Marella and makes a major ‘Mania announcement. Boy, when you put out, huh? That’s a big statement made and that means the match can go any which way. Separate matches would’ve been boring, but you shook things up and made it interesting. Nice booking here.

ROFL You got Rhyno involved in this silly promo of Christian’s! You are a delight and I enjoyed reading this convincing joke!

Mid-card promos. Pfft. What a fucking was of time. But it did kill the clock a little, I guess. As long as you make Burchill do the C4 somewhere along the line, I’ll be happy. And what’s this? We’re gonna get a little incest from the Burchill siblings? What is this, Jerry Springer? A for effort but F- for the freaky siblings.

Squash for Burchill. Great way to cement his precious little promo. Again… no C4 and incest equals epic fail. Remember that.

Two mid-card loser matches in a row? I don’t freakin’ think so, buddy. And JR getting accepted? Can you honestly say that was an original idea in your head?

Four minutes is too short of a match for something like this. I would’ve been happier had it been longer. And what’s this? Stone Cold will be in Lesnar’s corner? How unlikely following the events of ‘Mania XX. And why didn’t the rattlesnake show up? Lesnar’s bluffing.

Then again, since the McMahons come to the conclusion that Lesnar IS bluffing, he must not be bluffing. Aw, mind games. Gotta love ‘em, eh?

So lemme get this straight: you did a promo with two guys who love to fight, and showed no fighting whatsoever. I don’t believe that for a second

Changing the main event during the show? I don’t fucking think so, my man. Still, I guess the new match is a good way to showcase more superstars and give them TV time. And Randy Orton v. John Cena? I haven’t been reading this thread too long, but haven’t you actually been through that rivalry a couple times? What’s the deal here?

Great tag team match-up for the New Wave. Gaining ground and such. I hope Mark Henry is kicked out of the Brotherhood for his actions. “A bear with a sore tooth.” You and your terrible metaphors…

Cena’s video is worse than Christian’s!! But, then again, I always thought John Cena was a cornball when it came to serious video promos. Convincing, yet laughable. I like how you added the family in it…

Austin in Vegas for Smackdown. Yes. Lately, in this ‘Mania build-up, you’ve been making Raw look better than Smackdown. But hopefully, with this Smackdown in Vegas crap, and Stone Cold, the blue brand will gain some attention.

Christian and Cena on the same page? Pfft. We’ve heard this a million times before from matches like these. Where opponents team up. I don’t know what to expect, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Everything looked swimmingly in the tag team match, until Umaga spiked the referee, and he was replaced after the break. I know you want to put over Umaga, but why would you knock the referee out if someone wasn’t gonna cheat. And another thing: you wrote Cena setting up Finlay for the F-U, and Randy coming out for the RKO! What happened to Finlay there? However, I do like how you promoted Orton/Cena next week with that move too.

What’s this? Tension between the partners? Even I saw that shit coming. I just didn’t know whether or not they would attack each other. Obviously, it’ll happen, but when we least expect it (*cough* the show before ‘Mania *cough*).

All in all, Raw was okay, but Smackdown in Vegas should set the world ablaze, considering how you’re selling it. I’m expecting excellence from this one…
'What's this?' 'What's this?'

It's a load of bollocks is what it is. Poor grammar, pointless recapping of what we have already read/Wolfy has already written and a possible attempt at trying to sound like a big shot. The "reviewer" has done nothing to aid the writer and has allowed his own opinions to cloud his judgment. BTB'ers, please take note...this is NOT~! how you should reply to others.

Now, I don’t want to toot my own horn too much here, but I do believe I am one of the better members of the section who can give some solid, constructive criticism for a show which both shows what I liked and disliked about the show, and what can be done to improve, in terms of both booking and writing. I’m sure if you ask Wolfy, Renegade, Szumi or others, they’ll agree. Of course, I’m not the only one who knows how to give proper feedback. The guys I mentioned above can all give you good advice which can only help your progression as a booker and writer (although Reney tends to hate current-day BTB’s, so beware ).

Those who don’t know how to give feedback would do well to look at the feedback the names mentioned, as well as myself, dish out around the section. They’d do well to pay attention to detail and to focus on characterization, correct booking, fluid writing and more, rather than skimming through and reading for their favourite superstars. Come on, we’re not 10, people. I’m sure the majority here are old enough to have the capacity to fathom what the correct way of giving feedback is, so let’s start doing it. Don’t be afraid you’re going to hurt a friend’s feelings by criticising their show completely. Do it. They’ll learn to be both better writers and bookers that way. Next time you go into a BTB, try and read and take notice to every single word that is written, every line that is given to a character, and make sure it is correct. Be analytical. Take notice of the little things like commentary; whether it contributes to a show or not or whether it’s just filler.

[center]Szumi left his column by talking about how he didn’t expect many to take in the message he was trying to send out, but hoped that some would. I am also going to take that route, because quite frankly, I know there are some bookers out there who simply won’t follow the advice. I have encountered a number of people who yearn for help yet when it is given to them, when they are given a harsh dose of reality, they moan, and whine, and bitch about it. I really do believe that there should never be any limit. You can always improve. Whether you’re a newbie like -$ohail- or a veteran like Wolf Beast, everyone has something they can work on. So next time you read a show, work on giving feedback rather than handing out a pointless, stale, ass-kissing “review”, hoping for a return “review”. Ugh.

Alcoholic Presents: The Spotlight On - Power

Whenever thinking about created federations, two names seem to pop up in the minds of many BTB’ers. Those two names being EPW, made famous by PARA and GWE, written by yours truly, Alcoholic. Or, if you want to dig really old school, you’ll look at WIWA by Renegade, or NWF by Rated R Superstar… but hey, since when has BTB cared about the past? But lately, one man has tried to make a name for his own created federation and that man is Power. With his thread, Paul Heyman’s World Alliance of Professional Wrestling, he tries to bring a fresh project to a section that is mostly flooded with generic WWE-oriented threads. His thread can be entered following this link and I urge everyone reading to check it out:

http://www.wrestlingforum.com/booker...wrestling.html

What intrigues me about Power personally, is that he decided to focus his shows around GOLDBERG, which I have never seen in BTB, unless I’m forgetting something. It’s being original that gets plus points in BTB and Power’s certainly doing just that. Talking about plus points, let’s point out some more of the pros that lead me to focusing this spotlight column on Power.

First of all, he writes his shows in full. Believe me, there is only one way you can improve on your writing and booking skills, and that’s by writing out your shows in full. I obviously can’t take people who say “it’s only the booking that matters” seriously, because a nicely written-out show with thrilling, exciting, emotional promos is so much more entertaining than another bland mesh of paragraphs that un-interestingly describe the various segments.

Another plus is that Power doesn’t give in to the temptations to use only big names. His drawing power consists of Goldberg and Christian. All the rest are either young stars or people that get around in the mid card in real life. He tries to build up new stars and I can only applaud him for that. If people want to do created federations, or even WWE threads for that matter, they should always, at least to an extent, try to build up new stars. New stars make threads exciting and fun to read, believe you me.

Power has even managed to grasp the attention from some of the more experienced bookers, as in Renegade and WCW Rules. This must please our creative friend, as I can tell from experience, having the knowledge that an experienced booker is following your project, it gives you an enormous boost to continue booking and to continue to improve. And to show that these experienced bookers in particular see potential in Power, I have quoted some of their comments in the thread. Have a look.

Goldberg & Christian are obviously the BIG draw names but having Kennedy & MVP around is good too, building them as the future I guess.

Your promo work is quite solid, Christian was fairly well written and if you can capture Goldy, Ken and MVP like you managed to do with Christian, you'll be on your way to some good stuff.

You have enough here to keep things interesting and make me come back for more later on.

In closing, I decided to aim the spotlight on Power because I want to show that there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, there’s been a lot of shit in the section lately, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t any talent left. There is and Power is a perfect example. Sure, his work needs improvement and sure there are areas where he has a lot of work to do, but that’s what BTB is all about: getting better and better as you progress. I’m a follower of his work and I hope that this column has made some of you readers interested to follow it too. Power, you are Alcohol-approved!

KOP's Fav. Time of the Year

With summer brings a lot of free time (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing either) and normally this means an influx of bookers coming into the section. It’s been proven over the past several years that summer is always the busiest and exciting time of BTB. Summer time always gives students free time off for vacation and when you’ve got just that little bit of free time, Be the Booker is always a nice way to spend it. Over the years we’ve seen many bookers not necessarily “start out” in summer time booking but make their names over the summer including (but not trying to forget everyone else) such bookers as Forever-Delayed, Renegade™, Legend, PatMan, Nige, DDMac, Emperor DC, kane01, Szumi, kid o mac, and many many other bookers that I cannot name off the top of my head.

I think perhaps the summer of 2005 was the most successful summer (at least in my opinion) here in BTB as with summer brought many famed bookers such as Reney, kid o mac, Rated R Superstar, F-D, and many other famed bookers that are no longer booking such as theblueman and Jushin Liger. I’m sure there’s many other top bookers from that period that I cannot remember but I know that the summer of 2005 was perhaps the “time to be booking” as there was excitement going around everywhere. BTB didn’t have the discussion thread back then like it does now so most discussing was done in threads or over MSN. There was the excitement of new threads being opened and bookers actually being able to do prolonged threads. Reviews were returned at rampant speed (although not as good quality as of now) but still you were looking at possibly up to 6 or 7 reviews per show or maybe even more. But I think it was the fact that so many bookers came in and joined the elite bookers at the time such as Wolf Beast, The Showstopper, Red Cold, and all the other bookers that were around or leaving at the time that made the section a desire to be in. We didn’t have the World Cup back then and there was never arguments. It was just the place to be and I must say that I’d love to see half the bookers from back then booking now to see how they would have evolved.

The summer of 2006 was very similar to 2005 as it was a little bit more active as we had the BTB World Cup start up for the first time ever. The cup was successful thanks to the leading of then new moderator Wolf Beast as he was able to bring a successful tournament to BTB that would be looked at as lasting a long time (but we all know the story behind that.) Either way many bookers made their names in this tournament such as Szumi (correct me if I’m wrong) but I do believe this was the year he got the first perfect score. Crazian also had a huge break out in the World Cup by wowing judges with his match writing ability, but sadly was never able to use the momentum to propel himself further. 2007’s World Cup was also a general success as it saw US North take the cup from England who had won the previous year; again, Szumi was a star of the World Cup, but DDMac and Legend made huge contributions in the World Cup, cementing their future in BTB. Sadly, the increase in arguments because of some faulty judging and ego’s over scores foreshadowed next year. The World Cup was discontinued after last year due to adding a new concept for a “draft” but due to many problems, it has been canceled and left little hope for it to return.

But with that doesn’t mean that BTB can’t thrive during the summer without a tournament. No, it’s been done before! Sure this will be the first time since 2005 that there hasn’t been a tourney during the summer but really there doesn’t need to be one. This should be the time that allows bookers to get the most free time they can use to showcase their skills and what not since they’ll be out of school. They can take advantage of having lots of free time and show just why they’re a top booker or can be one perhaps one day. For BTB to be a hot spot this summer, there doesn’t need to be the World Cup. What needs to happen is many bookers just book and keep their threads going strong, keep the newer booker’s spirits up and give them help, and encourage everyone around them.

With the summer nearing…there’s only one question. Who will be the breakout booker this year? Either way enjoy your summer and I hope to see you here on WF.

The Interview with an Alcoholic

Ok then everyone, here I am with Alcoholic

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
*Generic applause*

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
hi there

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Wow, don't sound amazed to be interviewed by someone as epic as me or anything...

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
sorry, I guess I expected a more sexy welcoming

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Alright then let's kick this thing off properly, the regular opening question, when did you join WF and venture into BTB?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
joined in May of 2006 and I noticed BTB somewhere in September, I think I started a thread pretty quickly after going into the section

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
And it, failed?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Honestly, my first thread was all kinds of fail

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
As are most. And what made you think of GWE? Wouldn't it have been easier to *YAWNS* do a modern era WWE thread like everybody else?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that's exactly it, the yawn-effect of doing a WWE thread

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I wanted to do something different and I rememberred a created thread by one Jae Jae that caught my attention

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
in a weird sort of way he was the initial inspiration for me, yet he was no direct inspiration

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I see

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I wish Jae would return btw, awesome character

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah, didn't know him too well, but I swear during the BTB Fail Cup (World Cup) we had a moment

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Fail Cup . you got that right

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'm always right, you'll do well to remember this

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I'm sure it was in the back of my mind somewhere already

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Good to see you're learning

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I'm the best apprentice ever

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Anyways, moving back to BTB related discussion, did you ever think GWE would turn into one of the best non mainstream threads in the section, like it has?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
not really, it was more of an experiment thing, but I'm glad it's getting some recognition, some people tend to claim they don't care for recognition/praise, but we all do, it's only human

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Recognition it deserves, tbh

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
thank you

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
No problem, I easily rate it as one of the best I've seen in nearly 5 years on the forum, with the likes of EPW, NWF, WIWA and LLW

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
LLW, that's boogeyman's thread, right?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
oh yea, very cool concept

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
A little too retirement village even for me (!~) but still had promise

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes, I had issues with some of the guys wrestling and being on top, but oh well

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
True, an old yella push is always hard to swallow

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
except when it's Hogan

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Hulk is epic, regardless of what people say, the Leg Drop...OF DOOM!~ is mark worthy

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
"Hulking up" is the greatest taunt in the history of wrestling

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
it's no coincidence I used him as my main guy in GWE

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I see. And back to GWE, what has been your favourite feud to write, and favourite match?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Eric Bischoff vs. RVD is the feud I put most effort in (it's still ongoing) and I like the different twists and turns I put in, but yea, can't sound too arrogant now, can I?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I guess not

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Don't forget your favourite match, jobbah

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Brock Lesnar vs. Paul THE GREAT Wight in a last man standing match

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Good stuff

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Onto the BTB section in general, let's get your honest thoughts on the section

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I always am

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Continue, plz

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Well, the section kinda went down the drain as of late, lots of issues, lots of spam (no it's not blown out of proportion, experienced btb'ers will understand), lots of attitudes I have minor or major issues with

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I agree on all points made

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
life and fun seems to have been sucked out

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Do you share the consensus of some of the newer bookers having contributed more than their fair share of such events?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
no doubt, it seems like a true 'revolution' occurred in BTB over the last few months, but we all know a revolution doesn't necessarily have to have positive consequences, in this case, it lead to nothing but utter shit, pardon my words

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Strong words right there

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
The 'nice and easy' Alco-charachter has been killed in the revolution

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Now it's all seen as the BIG BAD IC and their various associates "taking over" BTB, which is beyond pathetic

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
well, it seems as though the newer guys feel threatened for some reason, they don't want to look at their own quality of work, so they seek other reasons for the downfall of the section, ridiculous reasons at that

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
On that point, do you feel many of the current crop are settling for mediocrity as far as BTB work goes these days?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
it worries me that mediocrity has become the standard in BTB, among the new crop of guys, I mean. What I want to emphasize on is that it's time for this new crop of bookers to look beyond their friends' or "buddies"' threads they see mediocrity getting praised and immediately think that's the standard.
Also a major problem is that when an experienced booker comes into their threads and points out all the flaws(and believe you me, there are lots) then they feel personally attacked and humiliated, which is the entire opposite of what the reaction should be (i'm rambling here )

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I love it, continue plz, we've got plenty of time

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
well the issue of experienced bookers not getting respect(or the respect they deserve) has been pointed out by wolf.
and what I just pointed out adds to that, they don't got respect because they feel attacked etc etc
when that's entirely not the case. we too want others to improve, by god, it's the thing I want the most, but sometimes, these guys all take the easy way out and continue on their paths of mediocrity

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
They're too entrenched in it to see the light

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes, yes indeed

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Moving on, what is single handedly, the WORST booking decision you've ever seen, and why?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
well

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I gotta name names, because I simply can't tell this without doing that. I decided to check out Wildething's thread (yes, I do check out the work of the new crop)
so I read his royal rumble, which wasn't too bad, but then without any build up, in comes AJ Styles in the royal rumble match

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
AND WINS!~ Epic fail, imo

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Yeah, that has to be the most horrible thing I've ever seen

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yet when he was CONSTRUCTIVELY CRITICISED about it, guess what he did? Tried to defend said decision

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
there's very little pro-arguments for such a decision, I would imagine very little, by which I mean none

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
And what has been the BEST booking decision you've witnessed in your time here?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
hmm hard one

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I think Wolfy having Benoit beat Lesnar by submission at Wrestlemania. (too bad it was Benoit) but yea, that put the guy so over as a credible champion, not to mention it was one of the best matches I've ever read

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I tend to agree, but Wolfy's Mania's have always been epic

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
nothing short of it

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I recommend every booker who wants to know how to write a PPV, check that shizzle out

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
please do, new guys

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Listen to the man, he's practically begging you all

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
i'm practically on my knees

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Assuming the position so soon?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'm a little turned on

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I encourage that

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol ok, let's find out, your favourite bookers and threads in BTB?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Wolfy, no doubt

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Szumi's WCW thread is class as well

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that guy Reney has some good things going tbh

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'm glad to see that 50 bucks I casually slipped you has worked <3

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
In all seriousness tho, I agree, nothing touches Wolf or Szumi atm

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I always enjoyed natureboy's work as well

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
shame he always leaves

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lolz Naitch

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
if only he'd stay on for a while, only a little while

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok are you ready to play some NAME ASSOCIATION?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
it's my favourite part of the show

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Remember, honesty = ratings

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
kay

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Let's start with none other than the man interviewing you (and what a man at that), Renegade!~

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
attitude era

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'll take that 50 back, asshole

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
, don't take your love back thou

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'll consider it

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok, moving on, Wolf Beast

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
best. ever

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Agreed

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Szumi?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
best non-wwe thread ever

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok next, Emperor DC?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
asshole shouldn't have left

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Agreed, I wish it was just that time of the month, but sadly, he's been barely active lately

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
he was one of my first BTB-'buddies' too

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He's the sex

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Alright next up, KOP?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
realism, realism, realism

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Too true

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
innovator, while conservative

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
tbf to the guy, he did use Austin & The Rock

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I hear his sister's hot too

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that gets lots of plus points then

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I heard it from him tho, so yeah...

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
incest-afficianado?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
It remains to be proven

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
innocent for now

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Next up, Legend?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
unlucky is what I'd use now, great talent thou

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Fair enough, he is, SHOULD COME BACK AND OWN

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes, although I did approve of his decision to step down

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He proved his manliness then and there

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes no doubt, i know others who'd stay in power

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Unlike some of the "mongoloids" or whatever the fuck Szumi calls them, he had the sack to accept he did something silly

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok, back to the BEST GAME EVER with Big Mac Deluxe (DDMac)

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
truly awesome, but i know him better from other parts of the forum than btb

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Pity he shoved Super Ken down our throats harder than Cena was by the WWE tho, I will never approve the jesus push he received

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that was kinda disturbing, but yeh, even the best of us can make mistakes

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Well I don't blame the man, I mean anybody who actually believes Mickie is hotter and better than Trish clearly has a few screws loose

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
In all honesty

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Trish is obviously hotter than Mickie, and I don't care for women wrestling, to be perfectly honest

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I approve of your Trish liking

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok next, the BIG BAD INNER CIRCLE 2.0!~

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
big bad wolf to the piggies in btb, by which I mean those newer guys

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Oh I thought you meant Spartanlax, the fat fucker he is

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
, didn't he return? or has that failed?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Most likely failed, he's in that consistency level with Naitch, WCW and DC tbh

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok, back to your story. Before I rudely interrupted and all

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
what's more to tell. you scared the fuck outta some new guys and I, being the outsider that I am, find that hilarious. the shit-storm that ensued a couple of weeks ago didn't get my approval, however, it's the newer guys that for some reason, got scared of the group, details matter

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah, read it and weap

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok, enough of this SHAMEFUL PROPAGANDA

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
, oh yea

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Back to BTB'ers, PARANoIR?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
EPW. yes, I know he's partnering with you now, but he'll be associated with EPW for a long time, I reckon

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He will, I wouldn't be surprised down the track if EPW didn't return and own again

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I consider it a probability

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Next, Forever-Delayed?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
part of the best partner-thread ever

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
also just a great booker, kinda underrated

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
HOF'er, hardly tbh, I wish he'd come back, along with this man...

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Kane01

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yeh, he just vanished didn't he? F-D went solo and kane01 just vanished

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Their divorce made me and many others a sad panda

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yes no doubt

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Grendrill?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
ugly girlfriend

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
oh and somewhat less important, plagiarism

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
But he has six million dollars!~

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
oh it's a real story?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He said so himself

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I remember wolfy posting some backyard wrestling thing of his. I cried with laughter

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
But this is the guy that plagirises and lies, so yeah, who knows really. And on a more imporant note, who really cares anymore? Next, Kanefan?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
who?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
RAWFFLES

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Nige?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
overrated, being completely honest. also, that permanent bobble in his pants, it's sc2004

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
bahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
their shows look like childrens books too tbf

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'm a mixed bag with them both, but overall, there is alot worse

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Like, BACKLASH

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
be sure to check out his royal rumble

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Pretty much sums him up

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
there are worse characters than Nige and sc2004, no doubt

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
but yeh, this is not a rant, is it?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
No. Everybody's favourite scapegoat, kid o mac?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
terrible lay-out. i tried to read his wrestlemania once, wanting to know what the buzz was about

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
But there is much, much worse

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
oh no doubt, even mentioned in this interview

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
But yeah, I always liked the guy, good friend and loyal WIWA/WWE 06 supporter tbh

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Moving on to...WILDETHING?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
fail, just epic, epic fail

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I've seen some unjustified attitudes in BTB

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I one hundred percent agree

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Boy howdy his attitude is through the roof and hands down the worst ever

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He takes the cake?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
good expression, I couldn't have said it better I guess that's why you're an accomplished interviewer

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'd make a reference here but it'd be labelled as PROPAGANDA

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Let's go with TKOW next?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
potential and he's been here longer than us, but only now does he really break through

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
well, he has the potential to break through

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah it's amazing, he's got promise, real promise

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
good mate of mine also, like talking to him, he needs consistency with my guidance, he can accomplish great things

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Erm, yeah lol. I used to think he was an uppity prick, but now we chat, chill and spoon together, so ya know, nothin' but love for the guy now

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
yeh, great guy. Alcohol-approved

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
irishProdigy

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
hardly a prodigy

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
LOL. PatMan?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Had a good thread, great potential

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Very underrated imo

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Power?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
who's that again?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol, ouch. But yeah. You heard it here first people, PROMISING. The Berg = ratings.

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
definitely checking out then, if RENEY says so

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Moving on with Bradders?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
always, whenever he's stating his opinion, he starts with a good argument then totally kills his own debate at the end. I wonder how he manages to do that

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ignorance = bliss?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that's probably it yes

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
He had a brief mention earlier, NatureBoy?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
the man. nah seriously, i enjoy his work and i would totally cream if he'd stay on WF for a good 5-6 months. i'm not asking much, am I?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
You'd be lucky to get 5-6 days tbh. Maybe hope for 5-6 mins and work your way up from there

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
good plan

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
m'kay, WCW Rules?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
innovator or, more common, I'll associate him with Sean O'Haire

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Ruley truly Rules, he needs t o have a sticking thread thou, badly

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Hell freezing over seems more likely at this stage tbh

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
sadly, you're right ehm, as always

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Nice to see you're learning

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Wrestle freak?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
talented kid he's not afraid to "rant" either, to say the least

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
His bum buddy, BKB?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
attitude, he's not bad at times, but he's acting cocky and offensive just to look cool. t...t me, it doesn't look cool...at all

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Try having a convo with the guy "OMG LIEK HAI TEH INTERWEBZ IZ KEWL!~"

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I wanna beat the guy severely with a dictionary sometimes. Gotta love the guy tho

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
jbloser?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
glass ceiling. it's like he's scratching it, but can't break through

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Fair assessment

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
i've enjoyed some of his work, but like a lot of guys, he needs to have that one consistent thread

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah, he did an 04 thread like a year or so ago, it had huge potential, then like always, he stopped

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
The WWE?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I hope you mean the company, or else I'm making a fool of myself, but yeh, it's the only thing I watch. I was baffled when you assumed I hated it

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol, I can't stand it anymore, altho I will watch for the few guys I mark for

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
WWF?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
attitude era-WWF or 80's,90's-WWF? or some guy I don't know?

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol. You fucking idiot

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
The company

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I'm a huge mark for late eighties, early nineties-WWF, MEGA POWERS, tbf

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
And then the Attitude Era?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Attitude era, meh, I think it's overrated, fully knowing the beatdown I'm about to receive from you. I never experienced the attitude era, I can't "grasp" the awesomeness

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Such blasphemy is frowned upon by me! I will attempt to heal you with the holy waters of the lord

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I'm an atheist

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
That won't save you

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Anyways, back to names, TNA?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
lol TNA

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
LOLZ

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I actually watched an episode sometime ago and it left me scratching my head, also, they're burying Booker T which I absolutely despise

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah, Booker is awesome. ROH?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
don't watch it but they made CM Punk, so I assume it's awesome from time to time

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
WCW?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
good effort, ultimately fail thou

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Yeah, Goldberg ftw

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
Hollywood Hogan plz

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Scott Hall > all

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
too bad he's such an addict

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
APPRECIATE PLZ

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away!
he's awesome, but he kinda screwed himself like Bret Hart in a different way

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
lol yeah, CHICO!

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
ECW?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
MEH see, hardcore matches are cool from time to time but every week? also I think most of the extremists are idiots, the way they're killing themselves by joing a company like that. WWECW plz, way better

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
@ WWECW

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
ECW as developmental brand > guys killing themselves in my own HONEST opinion

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I wouldn't care about the third brand, but the naming of it, was just pathetic

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
i heard they're going for a rebrand or something soon

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Thank fuck

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
which probably means another name as well

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
SRE would do find - Second Rate Entertainment. Win.

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
that's TNA's tagline already

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
ok, let's get to know the man behind the Alcoholic name

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Now I must point out that following RSC Jobberlecht makes me lol

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
don't do that plz

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
But are you passionate about your football?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
you might go as far as saying I'm an addict

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
You're far from the only one

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
i think I watch 5-10 matches a week, it's not just my own team but EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga etc all get my attention, some may call me sick

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I watch Man Utd every chance I get, plus the odd La Liga/Bundesliga/Serie A game too. I wouldn't call you sick

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
therefore, you receive my love

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'd mark, but I already have so much love, I just don't know where to put it

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
oh aren't we modest? you should put my love directly in your heart to be fair

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
I'll see if I can cram it in. Back to you, do you go to uni or work for a living?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I'm in my first year at uni, studying politics

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
EXCITING [/lies]

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
where's that love? I want it back

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Sorry, gimme back my 50 first plz

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
lol

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
ok then, that was some interview. Closing thoughts plz?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
great interview, great interviewer also, let's make work of getting the BTB section to where it once was plz

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Can you all shoulder such responsibility?

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
i still have faith

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
little faith, but faith nonetheless!

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Ok well thank you for donating nearly 2 hours of your life to this, but we all know this will produce some serious ratings, and it's fair share of controversy

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
I've happily spent two hours for this great piece of writing, so yeh

Toon...I want to get away...I wanna fly away! says:
thumbs up

Adam -_- Renegade - MAD **** UTD* <3K says:
Good news, well thanks once again Alco

********

Enjoy, or not. It took a long time to get this done and dusted, but it's finally done.

I have to apologize, people like me telling idiots with cookie-cutter/bad ideas to go to BTB if they have an idea possibly aided the crap-influx.

I admit I did a BTB once, now looking over it I weep cause it was bad, not only was my promo writing bad but I fell into the trappings of other bad BTB's and then even invented my own type of Bad.

Still I may eventually give it another go now that i'm not a frigging 15 year old. What was I thinking...

although chances are if I write it someone somewhere is going to do a Rider Kick. It is INVEITABLE and if not done correctly would ruin an entire show.

Still this newsletter is great.

I don't feel people using the WWE are bad it's mostly 'safe' Hey lets use the name everyone will jump for. still the shit is mostly there (including my own which is a long forgotten memory to be buried in a hall of shame somewhere)

I also admit to falling trappings to 'Reviewing a show' because I thought 'Oh thats how you do it.'

My own stupid fault.

That was a fantastic read, right up to the interview. Not that the interview was bad, but interviews conducted then c&p'd from MSN are painful at the best of times. An MSN interview littered with net speak is just horrific though. Sorry 'Reney' - if you edit it a little into something more coherent, it could be a great feature.

And that, I believe... falls on the side of the line marked "FEEDBACK00RZ~!!!111!!!" (Or feedback for the luckily uninitiated into net speak v1.4)
