Default WWE : A Jewel In The Rough

WWE : A JEWEL IN THE ROUGH

The WWE took action immediatly just a mere 24 hours after the conclusion of Backlash. With critics blaming the WWE of a poor start to 2009 and with less and less of the public tuning in to watch, desperate measures had to be taken.

Chairman of the WWE Vince McMahon, CEO Linda McMahon, Executive Vice President Shane McMahon, Senior Vice President John Laurinaitis and Governor of the State of Connecticut Lowell Weicker raced to the WWE's headquarters located in Stamford, Connecticut for a urgent meeting regarding the current situation.

After a long 3 hours of discussions and debates, Chairman Vince McMahon announced that ECW who had been re-established in 2006 had to be abandoned due to a lonmg-term run of poor ratings aswell as not living up to its expectations. This left RAW and Smackdown as the two brands.

The ECW superstars were to be drafted in the supplemental draft to their corresponding brand. Also, after a poor "25th Anniversary of WrestleMania" which was only lit up by Shawn Michaels and Undertaker's epic match Vince also decided to re-introduce The King Of The Ring tournament which will be held later in the year.

A Last Man Standing match cannot end in a pinfall or submission. It has to end by one man not being able to answer the 10 count. Apart from that, there's not much to say here considering it's the usual current day/chop ECW/swap a few people round deal. Still, the most important thing is to see what you can do with your first show. Make sure you check out the BTB Handbook for rules and advice. Good luck.

I would also like to point out that ECW didn't actually restart as a proper WWE brand until 2006, not 2005.

Next time I suggest some research into the history of your BTB before you start, as you've made two mistakes in your opening post, one utterly hilarious, one just sloppy.

Oh sorry about that. That was a careless mistake.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW
MONDAY 27TH APRIL, 2009
INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

Monday Night Raw kicks off with a 3 minute video highlights package of last night's PPV Backlash with the official theme song "Seasons" by The Veer Union playing in the background. It features.
  • MVP countering an Unprettier and turning it into a Playmaker to retain the United States title.
  • Chris Jericho locking the Walls Of Jericho on Ricky Steamboat and forcing him to tap out.
  • Kane chokeslamming CM Punk and afterwards pinning him.
  • Jeff Hardy Swanton Bombing Matt Hardy from the top of the Ladder through a table full of steel nails. Afterwards seeing EMTs running towards both Hardys and requesting the referee to quit the match. Both Hardys refused and eventually a groggy Matt Hardy walking into the steel steps. Matt Hardy being
unconsious and finally the match being declared to Jeff Hardy.
  • A groggy John Cena getting up to his feet only to then have a near-miss chair shot by Edge. Cena gets Edge ready for the Attitude Adjuster but Edge goes behind Cena and spears him straight into the stage’s electronics bay causing a massive spark. The referee then counting to 10 as Edge celebrates with the title with a concerned but exhausted look on his face.
  • Randy Orton RKOing Shane McMahon and shortly afterwards getting a groggy Triple H to his feet but to just RKO him and get the 3 count. Randy Orton with Legacy on each of the turnbuckles celebrating as Backlash went off air.

Raw’s opening video plays with “To Be Loved” by Papa Roach blasting out in the background. Just as soon as the video comes to an end.

*PYRO*
*PYRO*
*PYRO*
*PYRO*

The camera pans across the hundreds of excited fans seated in the arena. Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole then kick off the show.

Cole:Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to Monday Night Raw live from the Conseco Fieldhouse Arena in Indianapolis Indiana. I am Michael Cole and alongside me is Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Lawler: Well Michael, it was one hell of a night last night. Backlash was off the chain! Unfortunatly though, the World Heavyweight Championship is now on Smackdown.

Cole: Well yes and last night at Backlash we also saw a new legacy of Randy Orton's begin when he delivered the devastating RKO to "The Game" Triple H. But Ladies and Gentleman, tonight we will see the newly returning Muhammad Hassan taking on the United States Champion MVP in a non-title match here tonight.

**Burn In My Light** by Mercy Drive hits around the arena and simultaneously the new WWE Champion Randy Orton comes down the ramp dressed in a black Legacy shirt and with a huge grin on his face. He goes up the steel steps and into the ring where he recieves a mixed reaction from the crowd. He grabs a microphone from ring announcer Lilian Garcia. He puts the microphone to his mouth.

Orton: Last night. Last night I accomplished my goals. Last night, I did something no one has done to date in the history of the WWE. Last night. I closed the chapter on the McMahon family and by doing so. Stares directly into the camera I killed the legend of the McMahon family.

Huge Pop

Orton: You see. Triple H stubbornly refused to back down and wandered straight into my business. And as you fans should be aware of, you know what happens when somebody wonders in the Legend Killer's path. Now that Triple H and Shane McMahon have been dealt with, that leaves just one man left to destroy in my path.

Crowd wait anxiously as to who the man will be

Orton: DAVE BATISTA!

Huge pop from the crowd expecting Batista to come out from backstage and confront Orton.

Orton: So Batista. I request that you come out and face me like a man.

**I Walk Alone** by Saliva hits much to the crowd's amazement as they let out a huge pop. Batista arrives towards the ramp dressed in a white suit with sunglasses. He doesnt bother to do his Machine Gun pyrotechnics and cheerfully climbs his way up the steel steps and into the ring where Orton stands his ground. Batista goes towards the far side of the ring and grabs a microphone.

Batista: Orton. Whatever happened to Triple H last night, it hurt me big time. The fact that Triple H has been like a brother to me makes me moere enveous.

Batista throws his sunglasses onto the mat and his cheerful manner has gone. He steps towards Orton. The crowd let off a huge pop.

Batista:
Lets off a sarcastic laugh Oh yeah. Randy. Don't you remember the times we had in Evolution? Those Pause Good Pause Times Pause

With this Batista grins and gets into Orton's face whereas Orton is not amused.

Orton:
No! No! You know what Dave. I dont and the fact that I have this Looks at WWE Title and you don't shows quite well what Evolution did.

Orton: When I defeated the late Chris Benoit at Summerslam in 2004, I also made history there. Shouts By becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion!

Orton: The next night, I come on RAW so happy and thanking you guys. However, what I got was hell. Triple H used you guys as puppets for the simple reason that he couldn't and as a matter of fact today can do it himself.

Orton: So thats why. Batista. You are going to have to wait in line as I am taking the night off and also.. Prepare for my opponent for Judgment Day in 3 weeks time who actually deserves a chance against the Legend Killer!

With this Batista goes underneath the ropes and begins to walk towards the ramp.**Burn In My Light**hits as the camera goes into the ring where Orton is posing his Destiny taunt. Whereas Batista has a stern look on his face as he heads towards the back. As Raw goes to a Commercial Break.

*Commercial Break*

Raw returns from the Commercial Break. The camera goes straight to Vickie Guerrero's office where she is talking to one of her agents. As soon as the agent leaves, the office door is blasted open by an angry Batista.

Batista: Vickie. I demand a match with Randy Orton Tonight! I wanna show him that in all honesty he should fear me because as soon as I get in that ring with hi..

Batista is cut off by Vickie

Vickie: Batista. Calm it down. Look. Im sorry to say that you can not face Orton tonight as he has the night off. However, I can put you in a match against an opponent to let off some steam.

Cody Rhodes steps into the office as Batista looks angrily at him.

Cody: Say Batista. You said that Triple H was like a brother to you right? Well the same thing damn well applies to me!

Batista glares at Rhodes as Vickie looks on.

Cody: You see, you decided to help the McMahons. And as a result, Points you did not become the WWE Champion! If you want a match tonight, how about me and you let off some steam?

Batista goes up to a frightened Rhodes. Suddenly, he grabs him by the back of his head and smashes it against a vase as it simultanoeusly shatters as Vickie screams for help. Batista then turns his attention to a metal radiator. He drags Rhodes and slams him back first against it as Rhodes lets off a chilling scream and plea for help. Batista collects a metal pole situated on Vickie's desk and violently goes towards Rhodes. However, security officials come in the nick of time as they wrestle a unsettled Batista.

Vickie: Batista, if you want to brutalise Cody Rhodes so bad, why dont you face him in tonights main event. In a Street Fight!

Huge Pop as Batista is dragged away by the security officials as Vickie looks on at Rhodes.

The camera cuts towards the ring where **2 Z Top** plays as Jamie Noble emerges with the usual fierce look on his face and is met by heat given from the Indianapolis crowd. He slides into the ring and waites for his opponent.

Lawler: Well tonight, Batista will finally have the chance to get his hands on Cody Rhodes and to also let off some steam as he goes 1 on 1 in a Street Fight against Cody Rhodes. Street Fights usuaally are brutal and each wrestler takes a beating, so young Rhodes will have his work cut out for him tonight.

Hassan protests with the referee signalling 3 figures and asking for the three-count. As he turns round, he is met with a short powerbomb as Hassan goes to the canvas. MVP lights up the crowd by doing his Basketball throw taunt and waites near the turnbuckle for Hassan to get up.

Suddenly, **Somebodies Gonna Get It** by Three 6 Mafia hits as Mark Henry strolls down the ramp much to the amazment of the fans and MVP. Henry shouts something at MVP as we can make out that MVP says "Bring it now!" The referee now intervenes as MVP and Henry still exchange words between each other. With that, both men leave the locker room as Raw goes to a Commercial Break.

*Commercial Break*

A video package plays on the Titantron of Triple H's rehabilatation of his injury at Silver Hill Hospital in Connecticut. It shows graphic imaging of Triple H undergoing Keyhole Surgery on his right knee.

Cole: Well, Triple H is going have to be 100% fit in-order to make his eturn to the ring, whenever it maybe.

Lawler:
Its possible it may range from 2 to 4 months.

Cole: Well whenever it maybe he will definatly want retrabution over the man who put him in this position today, Randy Orton.

A video package plays which is based on the beginning of the McMahon feud with Randy Orton and ending with Randy Orton giving the vicious punt to The Game's head as EMT's rushed immediatly whereas Randy Orton did his "Destiny" taunt as the video came to a close.

The camera cuts to the ring where **Priceless** hits to a loud eery of boos from the Indianapolis fans. Cody Rhodes emerges with a bruise above his right eye. He squints down the ramp.

Lilian: The following contest is a Street Fight scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina weighing in at 219 pounds. CODY RHODES

Rhodes climbs up the steel steps and waits into the centre of the ring where he waits eagerly for his opponent. **I Walk Alone** blasts throughout the Fieldhouse Arena as the thousands of fans scream and rise to their feet as Batista emerges from the back hyped up as he goes down the ramp where the pyrotechnics explode simultaneously as Batista does his machine-gun pose.

Lilian:
And from Washington D.C, weighing in at 290 pounds. BATISTAAA

Orton: I'll see you at Judgment Day!

Default Re: WWE : A Jewel In The Rough

Okay... I've just taken a quick look at your BTB. First off, is it a serious project?? Because you started it a month ago, but you've only posted one show??

Your backstory was okay, but personally I'm missing infomation about the returning of superstars such as Muhammad Hassan, Bobby Lashley, Big Daddy V, Super Crazy, Hardcore Holly etc... Why? When? How?

And also, there's a couple of things in your opening segment that doesn't fit with your first show... For example, in your RAW roster section you've written The Brian Kendrick, which leads people to think he's still the arrogant heel-superstar he was on SmackDown. But in your show you only refer to him as Brian Kendrick, and you have him tagging with Paul London again...?? And in your Backlash-results section, you've written that Big Show "won" the match for Edge like in real life. But in the start of your show you say that a video shows how Edge Speared Cena into the pyrotechnics?? And last, again in you Backlash-results section, you've written that Jeff won after Matt quit... But in the start of the it says that Jeff was given the win as the referee stoppped the match due to Matt being unconsious??

I haven't read the full show yet, but I probably will if all the "mistakes" is corrected so that people who reads your thread doesn't get confused all the time

All these returning Superstars just coming back with the click of a finger without any explanation is a little odd, I hope you'll elaborate on this and tell us exactly how they came back. As JuulDK said before the Backlash results is a little jumbled up as well as to how the matches actually ended. I'll be reading the show in its entiriety later, I'm not exactly a fan of the font as I prefer Verdana and Tahoma to be used for writing shows, but up to you. Hopefully with this show posted a month after the opening post, this thread can progress and get better, without any careless mistakes. Good luck.

First off, I thank you for taking the time for checking my thread. Much obliged.
Regarding if it is "serious" or not, I have commitments i.e: Revision for exams (for which I even had one today).

Thanks. Yes, I must have just forgot to put the information on returning superstars down. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yes plenty of mistakes there and thanks again for pointing them out. I must have changed plans during the month, however I will edit them shortly.

I'll take your word for it, as I have edited the font to Tahoma. Yes, I will try my level best in-order to prevent future careless mistakes from happening. Thank you very much

WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN PREVIEW
THURSDAY 30TH APRIL, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PENNYSALVANIA

The fallout from Backlash will be live from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennysalvania.

On an interview before the start of WWE Superstars on Tuesday Night, Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long announced that a new number #1 contenders tournament would begin consisting of 8 superstars in 4 matches with the winner becoming the new #1 contender for Edge's World Heavyweight Title. Who will be next in line to step up to the Rated-R challenge?

Aswell as Singles competitions will be tag team competitions as Cryme Tyme wake on World Tag Team Champions DH Smith & Paul Burchill in a non-title match.

Also, with plenty of speculation about the Cruiserweight Title returning, the man in charge Theodore Long will officially announce the fate of the title. What will T Lo decide? Tune in to Friday Night Smackdown at 10pm Channel 403 for residents in the UK.

Looking forward to the first SmackDown mate. Can't wait to hear Teddy Long's announcement regarding the Cruiserweight title situation. And I'm also very interested in who will be in the #1 Contenders Tournament, now that SmackDown posesses superstars like Lashley, Jericho, Punk, Jeff Hardy, Swagger, Cena, Morrison, Kane, Mysterio, Khali, Benjamin, Umaga and Undertaker. Thirteen big names in my opinion, and only eight can be chosen.
