BTB - A New Twist
BTB – A New Twist
Before I begin I’d like to point out this is my first BTB. You know, I’m the type of person that likes to find a really good BTB and I like to read the shows, but I never post anything in the threads, so some readers don’t know I read their show. It’s a good and bad thing; good for me because I get a lot of fun out of reading it, but bad because I don’t give credit where credit is due by posting some sort of feedback but I do plan on working on that problem of mine. I’d also like to say that whatever review I get on any of my shows, that I will indeed return all reviews, you all have my word.
Anyways, so a good question would be: How did I come up with this idea? Well, I really wanted to write a BTB here on this website, but most of the new BTB’s start right after Wrestlemania 25, and that idea got really stale for me. This BTB is clearly only WWE, but it isn’t “current WWE” nor is it “past WWE.” It’s WWE, in my own sense. No three shows a week like the WWE has. I will not have two shows that are two hours each. I will not have many different kinds of pay-per-views. Instead I’ll be having two shows that are one hour each. Instead of having many different pay-per-views, I’ll be having four pay-per-views, one after four weekly shows. Once all four pay-per-views have aired, we start with the first pay-per-view again and keep going with the same four pay-per-views. All pay-per-views are interactive! There will be no Royal Rumble type pay-per-view. There won’t be a Survivor Series type pay-per-view. We will have three normal pay-per-views, and the fourth pay-per-view will be our biggest pay-per-view; much like the WWE has four big time pay-per-views (Rumble, S-Slam, S- Series, and Mania) After every four pay-per-views, we will be holding a draft show, similar to RAW’s format. Just to keep things fresh, y'know?
Anyways, how did I get to this idea? Well I wanted an idea that was different from all the rest, so I decided to do something I didn't recall ever seeing here, having Heat and Velocity as the main two shows. They are each one hour long, with one championship per show. They also each have a General Manager.
The roster is not jam-packed with main eventers. That’s part of the fun I’m going to have. At one point in this world, Velocity and Heat used to be on television, and they weren’t used for big names like Triple H, Randy Orton, The Undertaker, Edge, Shawn Michaels, etc. They were used for middle card and lower card and that’s exactly what I have here, but in this BTB, the middle card and lower card … are my main eventers! So let’s step outside the box of what we’re used to seeing … and let’s start visualizing things beyond our wildest imaginations.
I know there is no backstory, but I guess I’m not looking for a backstory. I’m just making a BTB … with a NEW TWIST!

Re: BTB - A New Twist
I like how you're doing things, but just a question, is that a roster from 09 or are you just adding superstars like Billy Kidman, lol I wish you would've added the Woo Woo Wee Woo guy, Zack Ryder. But I like your idea and I am officially your number one viewer, cheers, anyways, I like your pay-per-view names too, except WrestleFreak though lol, but It'll do. So did you say they were interactive, so what's going to be so special about every ppv, like what happens in Insurrextion, anything special or is just your normal, Summerslam type ppv or backlash type ppv.

Re: BTB - A New Twist
This looks really good man.
Interesting concept you have, and I love the idea of having basically no Main Event guys, lets you push whoever you want to.
Good luck, I'll be reading.

Re: BTB - A New Twist
Will you be keeping that same roster, or will you be making some Indy, or FCW superstars join this too or even some WWE superstars drop to Velocity or Heat?

Wow, I never expected to get so many comments, I'm a happy man!
Lemme explain some things:

I's not '09 wrestlers, it's just the mid-cards and lower-card superstars I could think of that I could work into some feuds. It's not just strict 2009 people, it's anyone and everyone I feel I could work with.
I'd add Ryder, but just my rosters are limited because I only have a one hour show and only a certain number of wrestlers can be pushed, because I can only put 3 matches a show, maybe four if there is no big time segment. Maybe in the near future I'll add Zack Ryder, just for you.
I'm honored to have a # 1 viewer lol, I used wrestlefreak because it had W and F like wrestlingforum, it's the best name I could think of...if you think of a better name, hook me up with a PM and I'l change it...but it has to have a W and F, lol.
As to the pay-per-view quality...each pay-per-view is a regular, every day pay-per-view. The first 3 are normal, and the 4th is a big-time ppv. Don't expect something different every time I have the 4th pay-per-view, but it's just our WM type ppv. No special gimmick ppv's, if that's what you're wondering.

There is no drop to Velocity or Heat, as those shows are my main shows. But, if I feel like debuting someone to my show, they'll be mid-carders and low-carders, or just someone I could use storyline wise. This roster is the permanent roster until the draft, which will be after each WrestleFreak. Will I be adding Indy or FCW superstars, probably not but never say never.
Thanks again for the comments you guys!

Re: BTB - A New Twist
This looks good. I like how you haven't done RAW, smackdown or ECW. Doing Heat and Velocity is cool.
I like how you don't have much main event wrestlers which is good because you can build your own stars.
It's different and thats what I like about it. I drop by and review your first show for sure. Good Luck.

Re: BTB - A New Twist
It’s the first edition of HEAT! What a way to start the first of many episodes with none other than the General Manager of HEAT, Vickie Guerrero! She will be addressing the fans and addressing the situation of the Heat World Championship. Something about a tournament or something along those lines, perhaps? But whatever the situation of the championship, we will the start of the quest for the championship start on the first live edition of HEAT.
Vickie Guerrero has been asked how she feels on having complete control over this one hour show and she says she is ecstatic to be in charge and she has plenty of surprises in stored for all of us. Her nephew was heard saying: “My aunt, Vickie, is the right person for this job and this show will be much more entertaining and exciting than Teddy Long’s Velocity show. We have the right superstars on our show and we will reach heights that have never been reached.”
When asked about the status of his position on HEAT he simply responded: “I’m not a competitor, I’m more of a helping hand for my favorite aunt. My goals aren’t some championship, it’s to make sure the superstars of the brand know their place and show my aunt some respect. Woe be the person who crosses my aunt, because they’ll be sorry they ever messed with a Guerrero!”
Tune in for HEAT, as we begin the first step of “survival of the fittest” between the superstars of HEAT, all vying for the respect of their fellow peers and the fans.
Confirmed for HEAT:
General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, will address the HEAT World Championship situation. Will a champion be crowned automatically? Who knows what Vickie has up her sleeves?
