Finally! I was wondering whether or not you'd stopped this, and I'm glad you didn't, JayDee.
Wonder what condition Nash's in, and what Joe will have to say about what he did. I expect some Christian involvement, as well.
Booker vs. Rhino at Victory Road should be a good one, as should the main event in Booker vs. Christian. I'm expecting some interference from Joe and Rhino to set up a tag match next week.
I'm looking forward to the unveiling of AJ's partner, whether it be on this show, or later on. Either way, AJ vs. Tomko should be a good match, plenty of history there.
Roxxi vs. Angelina should be a solid match as well, and I'm definitely looking foward to more of Lethal and Dutt. Hernandex and Shelley should be one of the better matches on the card as well.
Show looks good, JayDee, and I'm glad you're still going with this one. Good luck, I'll be reading.
In a recent online interview with the British Newspaper The Sun, Eric Young said that he had been frustrated in recent months but countered that by saying big things were going to happen in the future, also adding that we may see him turn heel in the coming months or even weeks.
Expect Beer Money and Team 3D to have interaction this week, in a recent meeting it is said that a match may be added to the Victory Road Card but most likely will be given more build up until Hard Justice.
Old X-Division star, Amazing Red is said to be in talks with singing a short term deal with TNA, the star said on his myspace blog that he was close to “crossing the line” in his career.
Rhino and Booker T has officially been added to the Victory Road Card and a few other matches will be added in the next week or so - hopefully we shall see an X-Division bout and one other mid card match.
In a recent creative meeting, it is said that an anti-USA tag team may be brought together, and from last week’s iMPACT, we assume they are going to try and use Sonjay Dutt and Sheik Abdul Bashir.
TNA have tried to contact Spike TV on adding a new 1 hour show to the card. The success of Cyber Collision in its first two episodes has hit the roof and the feedback has been good. TNA would like another show to showcase new talent as well as having a place for their fast bulking roster to have TV time.
As said before KENTA, was said to have had a very long phone call with Jeff Jarrett about working a programme over in TNA, with maybe the option staying on for longer, if he liked it. The idea thrown around was to have him go up against one of TNA’s big stars in an America vs. Japan style bouts, for international wrestling domination.
With all these new stars rumoured to be making their way into TNA, such as Paul London and stars of ROH, TNA said they are looking to trim their deadweight. Not sure who that is, but take what you want from it.
And finally, TNA have announced that their iMPACT show in Atlanta has sold out and that they will be looking to do a few more iMPACT’S away from Orlando this year.
***
Yeah, hey. Well I'm in the middle of my GCSE's, so the show has been on the backburner for the last 3 weeks, but now I've got into it and the show could be up as early as Sunday, but expact it later in the week. Once my exams are over, 9 left, I will have 14 weeks off, so that's when I can really progress with the thread. My bad on not keeping up to date with other threads, time is really just flying buy recently, revising and then free time is taken up by sport, don't worry I'll do my best to get round to them, you know you are.
Glad for the update, JayDee, I was thinking this had gone again.
Young, I haven't heard too much about other than he's booked ridiculously, but if you can change that with a good heel turn, then I'm all for it.
Beer Money and Team 3D should be a fun feud, with a lot of great segments and matches. Looking forward to their interaction.
Amazing Red, in a word, is amazing, so he should make a fantastic addition to the roster, even if it's short term.
Rhino vs. Booker on PPV should be a great match, and more to come sounds great as well. X-Division stars on PPV is normally a great thing, too, so that'll be fun.
Anti-USA teams aren't really taken seriously these days, but I'm willing to see it. Sonjay and Bashir sounds like a hell of a team, though.
Another show would do a lot of good, even if it's just an hour. That'd actually be better, if it was to be on the same network. Either way, it's a good idea.
KENTA in TNA should be fun, especially if he works against the top dogs. There's money there.
Cutting the deadweight is a good idea, especially if you've got guys coming in that you'll use. London would be great, and some guys from ROH like Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black would be even better.
It's always good for business to hold your shows in different locations, so this is great news from a business perspective, even if it doesn't really do much in terms of BTB.
Good luck with the rest of your tests, JayDee, and I'll be waiting for the next show, so good luck there.
26th June 2008 | TNA iMPACT | iMPACT Zone, Florida
“Yo’ betta’ be ‘eady, cause yo’ ass is goin’ to take one hell’uva beatin’!”
Keep Your Eyes, On The Prize
~ This week’s iMPACT starts with a highlight package, showing flashes of last weeks vicious attack on Kevin Nash by the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Samoa Joe. The brutal assault shows him smashing a steel chair over the skull of Big Sexy, which sends him straight the canvas. We have a close up on Joe’s face as the music turns even more downbeat until the music of Christian Cage explodes into the iMPACT Zone and Joe’s face plummets to an angry frown. We then see the stare down which ending last week. We the roll into the usual opening package, which cuts to Universal Studios and the pyro sets off and we get ready for iMPACT!
Mike Tenay: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to another edition of Thursday Night iMPACT, right here from iMPACT Zone itself. And what a night we have in store for all you wrestling fans!
Don West: No doubt about it Mike, as we have a huge main event featuring the best, not that just TNA have to offer, but the best that pro wrestling has to offer.
~ A graphic of Christian Cage versus Booker T is shown.
Mike Tenay: That’s right Don, this is Pay-Per-View quality stuff right here on iMPACT, and speaking of Pay-Per-View. TNA’s next one will be Victory Road and both these men in the main event will be competing, and as we heard on Cyber Collision, TNA’s weekly online show, it will be Booker T taking on ‘The War Machine’ Rhino!
Don West: What a match, it will be carnage, for sure.
~ Interrupting Don West, “Hardcore” hits and both members of LAX make their way to the ring, to a nice reaction, they come out holding their title belts, with Salinas by their side. The two have their bandanas covering the lower part of their faces, and walk slowly to the ring.
Mike Tenay: And here we go, with our opening bout of the evening, in a reverse fixture of last, we will see Hernandez of the Latin American X-Change, taking on Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machineguns.
Don West: LAX, of course are the TNA Tag Team Champions, and at Victory Road, the Motor City Machineguns will be challenging them.
~ “1967” hits and The Motor City Machineguns appear at the top of the ramp, look at each other a smirk towards the ring and the crowd before, jogging down to the ring, slapping hands with fans on the way down. The crowd give them a nice reaction, cheering quite loud for the young duo.
Mike Tenay: And here they are, the cockiest, arrogant, egotistical tag team in TNA, but you gotta love them.
Don West: You have to hand it to them Mike, they are some athletes, these guys may have an attitude problem but when they are in the ring, their all about getting the job done.
Mike Tenay: And it will be Chris Sabin who will want to get the job done tonight, and also try to even the score between themselves and LAX, going into their title match at Victory Road.
David versus Goliath, the story was set. Hernandez, the obviously bigger guy had the size advantage but the younger, faster and more nimble Shelley has the speed and athleticism. The match was given decent time; as it started we saw Shelley rush to attack SuperMex, as Shelley hits a number of low kicks to the knee and thigh area. But as he pushes himself off the ropes, Hernandez shoulders blocks the shit out of him, sending him spinning through the air. The crowd get really into this match and stay hot throughout as the two continue to trade big blows. Now mid-way through the contest we have Hernandez hitting a clubbing blow to the back of Shelley; dropping him to a knee. He then quickly grabs Alex with both arms around the waist, and hits him with an Over the head Belly to Belly suplex. A pumped up Hernandez proceeds to rip of his shirt and then waits for Shelley to get back to his feet; as he does SuperMex wraps his shirt around the neck of one half of the Guns and chokes him. The referee gives him a 3 count before the big Mexican tosses Shelley with the Biel Throw.
After a couple of near falls from Hernandez, which include hitting a Crackerjack and Spinebuster, he looks to finally end it. A wore out Shelley swings a wild right hand but misses completely and is lifted onto the shoulder of the big guy, and it’s Border Toss time. However, with the realisation that he might be thrown a good 10ft into the air, Shelley wriggles free and slides down the back of Hernandez, and then hits a spinning Sole kick to the gut, and then takes a couple of steps back and hits a Superkick to the jaw of Hernandez, he then quickly drops to make the cover, 1 … 2 … ½! So close but no cigar for Shelley. He pulls his opponent back to his feet, and locks in for the Slice Bread #2, he has his grip and runs over to the turnbuckle … but in mid air, Hernandez counters and stops Shelley from continue his momentum and hitting the move; and then pushes him to the outside to crash and burn onto Chris Sabin and the crowd go ape! The two Guns slowly get back to their feet, clinging to each other but meanwhile in the ring, Hernandez’s presence can be felt as he jumps up and down on the spot ready to fly … and HE DOES, DIVING OVER THE TOP ROPE TO TAKE OUT MCMG!!! SUPERMEX FLIES!
The crowd are going crazy as Hernandez bangs the announce table and moves swiftly back into the ring, while Shelley struggles to get up and answer the ring out count. As referee Rudy Charles reaches 8, Alex finally rolls back under the rope, unfortunately his rest is short lived as the big man pounces on him and hits him with a couple of rights; then swings Alex to the corner. He follows up the whip with a big splash in the corner, squashing the smaller Shelley. Again, Hernandez looks for the Border Toss, he lifts Shelly up, and looks to have it now … but again Shelley slides down the back of SuperMex! Shelley goes for the standing hurricanrana and tries to snap it off but unbelievably Hernandez won’t budge; he then just slams Shelley down with a Sitdown Powerbomb, 1 … 2 … ¾! NO!
This match continues, and for the third time in the match the big Mexican looks for the Border Toss, will this be the time? Shelley still struggles but this could be it; suddenly Chris Sabin jumps up to the apron and pulls Shelley off the shoulders of Hernandez and onto the outside apron. Rudy Charles has no choice but to call for the bell!
Winner: Hernandez via DQ @ 9:31
Don West: Oh! What the hell is Chris Sabin doing?
Mike Tenay: Well that Don, right there, is blatant cheating. And of course, we would expect nothing less from the Guns.
~ As Shelley and Sabin drop down off the apron and Sabin checks on the condition of his partner. The two think they are out of the woods, but that really isn’t the case as an angry Homicide jumps both of them, and starts to pound on Chris Sabin. As Homicide takes Sabin to the ramp; were the two start to exchange blows. We now see Shelley think he has time to catch some rest by the apron. However, his opponent from earlier doesn’t think it is time he rest and with unbelievable strength he picks Alex Shelley by the neck and pulls him first to the apron and then over the top rope. Hernandez fires up the crowd by circling the ring and he waits for Shelley to get to his feet. And as he does he gets taken off them in a flash. Hernandez lifts him onto his shoulders and hits him with THE BORDER TOSS! LAX’s music plays as the camera cuts to Sabin by the announce table looking into the ring while holding his jaw and then to Homicide, Hernandez and Salinas with their Tag Team Titles in the ring.
Mike Tenay: And that’s why they are the tag team champions, Don.
Don West: Well Mike, they might just be tag team champions for only a little longer, because we will have to see when these two teams go at it at Victory Road who will come out on top. And judging by the two singles displays we’ve seen these past two weeks … it can go either way
Mike Tenay: That’s right Don, just a number of weeks and we can see these two young, exciting teams go at it. I, for one, cannot wait!
{Commercial}
~ We come back to the broadcast and we head straight to the backstage arena and into ‘The Olympic Gold Medallist’ Kurt Angle’s locker room, and J.B is standing by to get Kurt Angle’s thoughts, who is placing his things into one of the locker compartments.
Jeremy Borash: Kurt, Kurt.
~ Angle, dressed sharply in a black suit and shades, turns around towards JB and slides off his glasses.
Kurt Angle: What, JB, what do you want? *whispers, turning himself back to his locker* Ever heard of knocking?
Jeremy Borash: Well Kurt, last week, as we know you called out AJ Styles and gave him the ultimatum about what type of match he was to face you and Tomko in at Victory Road but he gave you even more of a dilemma … revealing he has a mystery partner for that match.
Kurt Angle: JB? A dilemma? Are you serious? Cause the way I see it, is that AJ Styles can try to get into my head all he wants, he can try to play all his little tricks because in the end, I’m Kurt Angle and that sorta’ thing just doesn’t affect me.
~ Kurt turns back to his locker.
Jeremy Borash: But … last week, you did look a little pissed off.
~ Angle, slowly turns back to JB, obviously frustrated by Borash.
Kurt Angle: JB, what gives you the right to come into my locker room, question my feelings towards AJ Styles … *answering his own question* that’s right, nothing. AJ Styles is a little footnote in my bigger plan; he is a small part of the bigger picture. Last week, he summed it up perfectly, I don’t give a shit about Karen Angle, that money grabbing skank … this is about me feeding my ego, and climbing the ladder to become TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
~ Angle takes a small breather before continuing his rant.
Kurt Angle: So AJ, bring whoever you want, bring a whole freakin’ army cause it won’t make a bit of difference to me. Because whoever, whatever you bring … I will still best you, in everyway, because that is what I do for a living and that is how I live my life. Come Victory Road, you and your little ‘mystery partner’ will be noting to match myself and Tomko.
~ Angle turns around once again to his locker, and JB pulls the microphone away thinking it is the end of the interview, but Kurt turns back around and grabs the microphone.
Kurt Angle: {Said sarcastic} Oh yeah, Styles … good luck against Tomko tonight, I hope nothing “mysterious” happens.
~ We cut back to ringside when “Valor” hits, the music of The Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection hits and the team of Jimmy Rave and Lance Rock with Christy Hemme make their way down to the ring.
Mike Tenay: Strong words there from Angle, Don, and he made his intentions clear right there. “AJ Styles is just a stepping stone back to the top of TNA”, I wonder how AJ will react to that.
Don West: Sure Mike, this rivalry just keeps hotting up, doesn’t it!
Mike Tenay: Well Dee-Dubya, it’s time for our second match of the night and Jimmy Rave and Lance Rock really need a win to get themselves back into the tag title contention picture and capture the attention of one, James E. Cornette.
~ “Watch Out, Watch Out!” blasts through the iMPACT Zone and the most prestigious tag team in wrestling today make their way out to the ring. Brother Ray and Devon even hit some of the fans hands as the walk down the newly design ramp of the iMPACT set.
Mike Tenay: Without doubt, the most decorated tag team in profession wrestling today, racking up titles wherever they have been.
Don West: They sure leave their mark wherever they go, Mike, and I fully expect them to leave a mark on Jimmy Rave and Lance Rock.
Match #2 - Tag Team Match Rock ‘n’ Rave Infectionw/ Christy Hemme vs. Team 3D
SQUASH ALERT! Yes, Team 3D completely dominate this match and it is over in a number of minutes, they work over Jimmy Rave first before letting him tag in Lance Rock, who doesn’t fair to much better. The match is polished of when they deliver a 3D to Lance Rock and the lackey boys of the TNA tag team division take the loss. Brother Ray and Devon walk away with the 1-2-3! Much to the crowds delight.
Winners: Team 3D @ 3:52
Mike Tenay: Well, folks, again a tag team master class by 3D.
Don West: Like lions to the slaughter, Mike.
~ Classic Don West, obviously misunderstanding the phrase, ‘like lambs to the slaughter’. As Devon begins to celebrate the pinfall, we see Brother Ray stop and stare right at him … the crowd know what is coming and as Devon turns around, Ray bursts out … “DEVON … GET THE TABLES”. And the iMPACT Zone, explodes for the loudest pop of the evening.
Mike Tenay: Well here we g…
???: Woah, woah, woah … hold it right there Devon.
~ Who dare interrupt a table breaking sequence!?!
???: Yeah … stop it … right now!
~ It’s Beer Money Inc., James Storm and Robert Roode. As they appear out of the tunnel of the stage they are met with violent heat, denying the Orlando natives a chance to see Lance Rock crash through a table.
Robert Roode: Guys. Let me stop you right there, because quite frankly me and my partner, have seen enough.
~Storm shouts ‘ENOUGH!’ whole the iMPACT Zone continues their booing.
Robert Roode: You see, me and James were in the back, watching your match last week and this week again we watched from the back, and you know what …
~ Dramatic pause, while Ray shouts ‘What!?” from the ring while scaled on the turnbuckle.
Robert Roode: We were bored to death! Oh yeah, and let me congratulate you two victories over local athletes and this mess of a team, and showing us your “tag team master class”.
~ Big old boo’s for Roode.
Robert Roode: You two are a waste of space and a waste of TV time … you peeked, but you still haven’t let go of the limelight. You still need to be the stars and show us all how it is done, don’t you?!
~ Brother Ray shouts “Say it again” so loud we can hear it on TV.
Robert Roode: Oh what, Ray … d-did I-I stutter!?
~ 3rd degree heat for Roode.
Robert Roode: Me and James see it like this … you want to come out here week after week and put some poor, pathetic guy through a table …
~ A nice pop for a table mention … Roode gives the crowd some daggers.
Robert Roode: … through a table and reveal in your past glory. Now we can understand it, but don’t do it here … not in TNA, not on our show … go do it on the other side of the tracks, ‘cause Team 3D’s little antics are not wanted here.
~ Roode gets more heat and passes the microphone over to Storm, who has a beer bottle in his hand. Inside the ring, Ray and Devon look at each other and start to make over dramatic yawns.
James Storm: So, guys, instead of wracking easy wins against weak competition, why don’t you challenge the most athletic, charismatic, talented team in TNA …
~ Don West is heard saying, “The Guns?” softly, Storm pauses and then continues.
James Storm: … why don’t you challenge … Beer Money Incorporated, and then we will see who gives the tag team master class. ‘Cause it sure as hell won’t be you two old timers.
~ Roode and Storm look straight at 3D in the ring and wait for their response. Ray finally has had enough and calls for the mic, and begins to pace around the ring.
Brother Ray: Right! Right! Let me get this straight? You *points*, you guys are the most talented tag team in TNA wrestling?
~ Roode and Storm nod and tell them ‘Hell Yeah’.
Brother Ray: PLEASE!
~Big pop
Brother Ray: If you two say what you are, why are you not on the card, and why are we the ones in the ring? It’s obvious to me. Devon *Devon nods*. You two are jealous of us … you are jealous of our success. It all makes sense now, yeah …
Robert Roode: Get over yourself …
Brother Ray: Ah, ah, ah, now letme’ finish Bobby. You want to be like us, that’s why you are out here …what, what are ya’, are you part of some sort of fan club, or something?
~ The crowd laugh while, Roode and Storm don’t look impressed and Booby wags his finger at them.
Brother Ray: {laughing slightly} Me and Brother, are flattered guys, really we are. But this isn’t really the time or the place, maybe backstage we can give you some signed T-Shirts or something - I don’t know what you guys like and all.
~ The crowd once again laugh and even Tenay and Wets have a giggle. Storm seems to have had enough however.
James Storm: Right if you two asses ain’t gonna’ challenge us then I guess we have to do it ourselves. *drops mic*
~ The crowd let out and ‘Ohhhhh’ as Beer Money Inc. make their way down the ramp and Team 3D get themselves ready … it’s time for a good old fashion brawl!
~ And … here … we … go. Beer Money slide under the bottom rope and are met by the fists and boots. They get back to their feet and the two start to trade blows, right fist after right fist is thrown. Devon lays into Storm, and swings him against the ropes, and as he bounces is back is hit by a short lariat, which knocks the beer swelling Tennessee native off his feet. Meanwhile Ray has the upper hand over Roode, and knocks him down with three punches and then a big old elbow - he picks him up off the mat and then flips him over the rope. Now, in the ring we see James Storm on his knees holding his jaw and waiting to pounce is Ray and Devon … he turns around … 3D - NO!!! He is able to turn on his heels and get out the ring and jumps into the arms of his partner as they retreat up the ramp. Team 3D take this round but its sure isn’t the end of this one and both teams know it. We head to a commercial with Team 3D celebrating in the ring and Beer Money frowning their way up the ramp.

One last shot of the camera panning around a still focused Monty Brown.

~ We are taken backstage into the locker rooms, where we see Consequences Creed backstage warming up. Jay Lethal then walks into shot to a nice pop.
Jay Lethal: Creed … I just want to say I got your back for tonight, when you face Sonjay. I know what happened last week when he was in the corner of Bashir, and I’m not going to let it happen to you. They cheated me out of a win but not you, ‘cause I will be there to help you out, bro.
Consequences Creed: Man, I appreciated, and don’t you worry, those two won’t know what hit ‘em tonight! Oh yeah!
~ Camera fades away after that small segment, just giving the audience an idea of what’s going on tonight; Consequences Creed vs. Sonjay Dutt. However we roll straight into a video package of last weeks #1 Contender Knockout Championship Battle Royale.
~ VIDEO RECAP ~
One of these two will go onto face Awesome Kong at Victory Road 08. However - events occur to leave Roxxi is on the apron. Love tries to knock her off with a tough forearm … but Roxxi catches it and pulls her over the top rope and the two tumble to the floor. Who hit the floor the first? The referee’s look at each other and un-surprisingly one of them raises the hand of Roxxi and the other, Love’s. They then go over to the video and see that they hit the floor at the same time and this means that they will both face Awesome Kong at Victory Road!
~ VIDEO RECAP ~
~ We cut back to the iMPACT Zone and to the announce table.
Mike Tenay: And those are the events that lead to Jim Cornette officially announcing the Three Way Dance Knockout Title match for Victory Road.
Don West: Three of the best knockouts going at it, it’s going to one hell of a match, Mike Tenay.
~ “Angel On My Shoulder” hits the iMPACT Zone as The Beautiful People make their way down to the ring, to quite a bit of heat.
Mike Tenay: And here they are, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky and Cute Kip … The Beautiful People. And these three really are what I hate about professional wrestling. Thinking their better than everyone … it makes me sick.
Don West: The Beautiful People make me many things, but Mike, sick is not one of them.
Mike Tenay: Oh please, Don West, I think you’re drooling.
~ “Shave It” now hits the arena, as the shaved head of Roxxi makes her way out, to a nice pop. She, unlike Angelina, is all along and without a team by her side, will this affect the match, who knows.
Match #3 - Singles Match Angelina Lovew/ Velvet Sky & Cute Kip vs. Roxxi
An important Knockout’s match on iMPACT, surely not? No, your eyes do not deceive you, as the two joint number #1 contenders go up against each other. In what surely would give the other a psychological edge in their title match at Victory Road 08. And well the match was given good time and the two showed why they are two of the best in the division. Angelina dominated the opening exchange hitting high agility moves, like a head scissors takedown and a jumping hurricanrana but to her frustration, Roxxi wouldn’t give up and kicked out numerous times at the last minute.
Roxxi mounted a comeback, by breaking free of a weak chin lock and hit back with a number of forearms and elbows to the jaw and gut. She works on Love’s shoulder, with an arm drag into an arm lock and continues to pound on it. Roxxi even places Angelina in a Hammerlock and then hits a devastating DDT, which plants Love right on her head. She makes the cover but is only able to get the 2 ½ count. As the match rounds up, we see Roxxi in complete control and gets ready to deliver the Cajun Drop (Hammerlock Guillotine Drop), once again working the arm but the resilient Love squirms out and hits a Sitdown Jawbreaker, which rocks Roxxi. Now, Love takes her opponent and swings her to the ropes, and as she hits them Cute Kip, out of the refs view, pulls her legs from underneath her. Roxxi takes a bad fall into the canvas. Quickly to capitalise pulls a groggy Roxxi to her feet and hits the BOTOX INJECTION! (Bicycle Kick), and drops to the mat to make the cover, 1 … 2 … 3! It’s over!
Winner: Angelina Love @ 6:48
~ Love has her hand raised and stands over the fallen Roxxi. The rest of the Beautiful People then swarm the ring, celebrating with their leader. The three raise their hands in the air and then Angelina begins to points at her waist and has clearly sent a message to Knockout Champion, Awesome Kong.
Mike Tenay: And there it is, a classic example of The Beautiful People … if you can’t win by yourself, have a little help from the others.
Don West: C’mon Mike, it’s not like they had that bigger hand in the victory.
Mike Tenay: It’s just the way I see it Dee-Dubya, however this heats things up for their upcoming Three Way Dance at Victory Road.
Don West: I’m not going to lie, Mike, this match is probably going to the best ever Knockout match in TNA’s history!
Mike Tenay: Of course Don, and folks, after this short commercial break … we’ll be hearing from TNA World Heavyweight Champion … SAMOA JOE!
{Commercial}
~ Backstage now, in the iMPACT Zone and we have the lovely sight of seeing Lauren ready to conduct an interview with Samoa Joe who has his trusty white towel over his head.
Lauren: Samoa Joe, last week you brutally destroyed your former mentor, Kevin Nash in a match in which you intention got yourself disqualified so you could inflict more pain on him, what do you have to say for your actions?
Samoa Joe: Lauren, what do I have to say for my actions? Honestly, nothing. Kevin Nash had it coming, the week before he had disrespected me in my ring, the ring that I own, because of this *holds up his TNA World Title* … so I had no choice in to teach him a lesson, and I showed him exactly why I am the best in this company and this business.
~ Some nice heat for the now very big headed Samoa Submission Machine.
Lauren: Well Joe, did you know that Kevin Nash might have to retire because of your actions, which have aggravated a previous injury.
Samoa Joe: Lauren like I said before … it’s not my problem. Kevin Nash decided he would disrespect me and he felt the consequences of his actions. He is an example of what I am capable of … he is the example that everyone in the locker room should look at. If you think of crossing Samoa Joe … you will not live to tell the tale.
~ Some more heat for Joe. Lauren gives Joe ‘what is wrong with you’ look.
Lauren: So, onto your next opponent, Christian Cage …
~ Huge pop for the mention of the ‘Instant Classic’.
Lauren: … what do you think are you chances of defending your title?
~Joe laughs slightly.
Samoa Joe: My chances? Well as I said Kevin Nash was the example and he was the first … Christian Cage will be the second.
~ Joe does a quick slight throat action and then walks away out of shot, leaving Lauren holding the microphone alone I the sit shot. We cut back to ringside.
Mike Tenay: Well, Samoa Joe is clear with his intentions. It seems like Christian Cage will have to work hard not to suffer the same lethal attack Kevin Nash took at the hands of the Samoa Submission Machine.
Don West: Samoa Joe says he will take no prisoners, and I genially believe him. This guy has been on a rampage recently, and it looks like Christian will have his work out to somehow beat Samoa Joe.
Mike Tenay: Well Don, I’ve just got word in my ear, that JB is backstage in Jim Cornette’s office … JB.
~ Tenay spits the truth, as we see JB in front of a camera with what seems to be a small argument between The Beautiful People and James E.
Jeremy Borash: Yes, thanks Mike …
~Borash doesn’t get a word in before the bellowing voice of Jimmy silence the room.
Jim Cornette: Right! Right … now ladies go over again exactly what you want me to do again?
Velvet Sky: As we said … seeing as Angelina beat that ho’ Roxxi tonight, we feel that you should take her out of the match at Victory Road.
~ Cornette rubs his head and turns to JB.
Jim Cornette: You see the kinda’ stupidity I have to put up with here. Right, now girls, I don’t know what you are even doing in here, ‘cause you got no good reason being in here. The idea you are putting forward is just plain ridiculous.
Angelina Love: {scoffs} Ridiculous? Just remember who you are talking to Jimmy.
Jim Cornette: Oh, I know who I’m talking to. A couple of blond bimbos and a Chippendale! You see, here’s where I don’t think you grasp the concept of your match … you’re telling me you want to face Awesome Kong, the most destructive woman on this planet … in a singles match?!
~ The BP mull over Cornette’s words for a moment, before the light bulb finally goes off.
Velvet Sky: Ooooooooh, riiiiiiight.
Angelina Love: Thanks Jimmy … HOLA!
Velvet Sky: HOLA!
~ Sky, Love and Kip leave Cornette’s office in seems what was a wasted journey (filler ). Jim slumps back down into his seat - still frustrated.
Jim Cornette: Oh my god, JB, I can’t believe some of the stuff I have to deal with.
~ And on cue, bursting through the door is Scott Steiner and the X-Division Champion, Petey Williams and Rhaka Khan. Cornette rolls his eyes as they do, and stands up out of his office chair.
Jim Cornette: Jesus, now what do you two want?!
Scott Steiner: Cornette, I want something done about this Abyss situation. This freakin’ nut case has attack me and Little Petey Pump two {hold up two finger, as if we didn’t know} times in the past couple of weeks, and I have had enough. So, what you gonna do … boss.
Jim Cornette: I tell you what I’m gonna do … nothing! But what you’re going to do is be a man about it, and have a match with him a Victory Road.
~ A pop can be heard from the iMPACT Zone. Steiner also has a slight smirk of his face. Cornette continues to look annoyed about the amount of people in his office.
Jim Cornette: And you know what Steiner, why don’t we spice things up a little … let’s say - because you really are getting on my nerves right now - it’s going to be a HARDCORE MATCH!
~ Big pop from the crowd - Steiner’s face drops right to the floor as he realises what he might have just got himself into. Cornette gives Scott and Petey the big bug eyes, which tells them that they should never annoy James E. Cornette.
Scott Steiner: Woah, woah, I ain’t …
Jim Cornette: Nope Scotty … I don’t want to hear it! You wanted something done and now I’ve done it!
Scott Steiner: But - c’mon …
Jim Cornette: GET THE HELL OUT MY OFFICE!
~ And they do, Steiner, Petey and Khan leave Jimmy’s office, still complaining about the decision. On his way out, The Genetic Freak slams the door as hard as he can; which shocks Cornette slightly. Jim leans back on his desk.
Jeremy Borash: Wow … big -
Jim Cornette: What are you still doing here … GET OUT!
~ Cornette, still red in the face, lashes out at JB, and pushes him out of the room. With Borash pleading his innocence, we cut to another commercial (no wrestling in this section but meh).

~ We come back to the broadcast with the music of Sonjay Dutt is just ending as we see, the man himself along side his new associate, Sheik Abdul Bashir in the ring. The two exchange words before the music of Consequences Creed blasts into the iMPACT Zone and the afro haired American patriot comes bopping onto the ramp; Jay Lethal follows behind him.
Mike Tenay: And there you see Jay Lethal, a determined, a newly focused Jay Lethal. A man who seemed to have his heart ripped out at Slammiversary, and the man who caused that pain … Sonjay Dutt.
Don West: You’re right Mike; Lethal just seems to be a new man since that nightmare wedding. Sonjay Dutt had no right to do what he did, and now he might be paying the price.
Mike Tenay: And what about this new duo we have in TNA - Sonjay Dutt and Sheik Abdul Bashir.
Don West: It’s frightening, Mike Tenay.
Mike Tenay: Let’s see if Creed can gain a victory over Dutt.
Match #4 - Singles Match Sonjay Duttw/ Sheik Abdul Bashir vs. Consequences Creedw/ Jay Lethal
The match starts with a lot of encouragement for Creed, from Jay and the crowd. The two X-Division stars lock up in the middle of ring, jostling for power; eventfully Dutt backs Creed into the corner and hits an excellently executed knee to the gut, to make Creed release the hold. Sonjay now whips Consequences into the opposite and follows it up, however the wily Creed gets a boot up into the face of Dutt and then he bursts from the turnbuckle and knocks Dutt down with a jumping clothesline.
He then waits for Dutt to get up, and Sonjay swipes at Creed but he ducks it and hits a thunderous uppercut. Rocking Dutt backwards, Consequences then hit a Rolling thunder Lariat, and now he starts to pump up the crowd. He continues to bounce on his toes and waits for his opponent to get up … as he does he is hit by a left hand … and then another … and then one more left fist to the jaw; Creed then drops to do the splits and hits a cracking right hand to the face of Dutt! Knocking him senseless - he makes the cover - 1 … 2 … ¼!
A good five minutes later we are ending the contest as Dutt seems to be in control now, working on left leg of Creed, after, out of the refs view, Bashir smashed that left leg against the ring post when Creed had his legs between the post after missing a baseball slide. Sonjay currently has Consequences in a single leg Boston Crab, driving his knee into the leg left to add more pain to it and the back area. Creed is screaming in agony, but refuses to give in and pulls himself closer and closer to the ropes … HE REACHES THEM! Sonjay doesn’t release the hold until the 4 count, much to the anger of Lethal, who climbs onto the apron, catching the attention of the referee. Seeing it as the perfect opportunity Sheik, starts to lay into Creed, hitting a flurry of right hands to the forehead. Dutt now drags Creed up and looks to set Creed up for a Brainbuster … and hits it, landing Creed flush on his head. Dutt now moves over to the top rope and is looking to hit a 450 Splash.
He calls for it, but Creed is able to get his knees up! Dutt feels the pain, as he holds his stomach. As both get to their feet, Dutt runs at Creed but is lifted up into a Gorilla Press position … Consequences holds him in the air for a good 10 seconds, showing off his strength, and then drops him into his knees, for a double knee Gutbuster! And now could this be it, Creed pushes himself off the ropes looking for a leg drop but Bashir grabs his leg, stopping him from executing the move. The Sheik then jumps to the canvas and throws a right hand but it is blocked by Creed who then ducks … THE GURU COMES FROM BEHIND AND TRIES TO TAKE OUT CREED BUT GETS BASHIR!! Sonjay looks down at Bashir to tries to apologise; he turns around … CREED-DT!!! Dutt is planted on his head and now Consequences makes the cover, hooking both legs, 1 … 2 … 3!!
Winner: Consequences Creed @ 8:53
~ Creed takes the win, with help of a mix up between the two Eastern superstars. Lethal quickly comes into the ring as soon as the bell in rung to celebrate with Creed and lift his hand in the air. Meanwhile, Dutt is pulled out of the ring and up the ramp by Bashir as the two shout towards the 6 sided ring and the crowd.
Mike Tenay: A victory for the Americans in this international contest!
Don West: Impressive from Consequences Creed, he had the ring know how to see The Guru in the corner of his eye and avoid the attack and then connect with the Creed-DT!
Mike Tenay: A great bout, but something tells me this isn’t over between these two pairs of X-Divisions stars.
~ The last shot is of Bashir pointing and shouting in Persian towards Creed and Lethal who continue to celebrate with the iMPACT Zone. We then cut to the interview area, where Lauren is standing by.
Lauren: My guest here at this time is Booker T …
~ Some nice friendly heat, as BOOKAH~! Puts his nose up and beams a big grin.
Lauren: … Booker, you asked for this interview time because you wanted to talk about your upcoming match with Rhino at Victory Road.
Booker T: Lauren, dats’ right, I did want dis’ time, ‘cause I had enough of that piece o’ white trash, Rhino.
~ The iMPACT Zone boo the hell out of Booker, as he continues.
Booker T: You’see Rhino, ever since choo’ thought it would be such a great idea to attack me in da’ Fou’ Man Number One Contenders Match, and ruin my chances o’ winnin’ it and goin’ onto Victor’ Road to win my first ever TNA Worl’ Heavyweight Championship … I’ve been angry. I let ma’ emotions ge’ in da’ way o’ me winnin’ the match. But at Victor’ Road I ain’t gonna let it happen again.
~ More cheap heat for BOOKAH~!
Booker T: ‘Cause, now Rhino, da’ hate I feel fo’ ya’ is nothin’ like I ever felt before … jus’ da’ mention of ya’ name - “Rhino” - makes me fill with rage. Yo’ overweight fat ass ain’t got nothin’ on me, I’m a fiv’ time World Champion {Dud-See-Dud) … and wha’ titles have you won, chump. {Laughs to himself} Oh, yea’ … da’ Eee-Cee-Dubya championship … bu’ I don’t think tha’ really counts, now does it.
~ The iMPACT crowd starts to hound Booker and even chants of, “ECW, ECW, ECW” start up. Booker looks towards Sharmell and the two exchanges a small giggle. Tenay mutters, ‘utter disrespect’
Booker T: ‘Cause yo’ were a joke back ‘den and yo’ a joke now! And I’m gonna make a joke outta’ ya’ at Victor’ Road … not like it will be tha’ hard, will it. So, choo’ can get all the “Eee-See-Dubya!” chants ya’ want …
~ On queue the chants begin.
Booker T: ‘Cause it don’t matta’ … by da’ end of our match, they will be chantin’ “Book-Ah-Tee!”
~ The crowd erupt into boo’s and Booker seems to actually getting heat here. Tenay quietly says, ‘Yeah, right.’
Booker T: {Chanting to himself} “Book-Ah-Tee, Book-Ah-Tee, Book-Ah-Tee!” … and dats’ all ya’ gonna be able to hear when yo’ ass is ou’ cold on da’ mat. And den’ all these people will see how much o’ a loser ‘choo really are. And da’ people in MY hometown will see da’ proof dat’ yo’ are a worthless piece o’ crap. ‘Cause in Hou’ton, Texas, we don’t have time for people like ‘choo, Rhino.
~ The crowd boo Booker some more.
Booker T: So Rhino, brin’ yo’ A-Game ‘cause ‘nything less ‘choo might as well not even show up for ‘da show. Once I hit da’ Book-End ad finis’ ‘choo off wid’ da’ Axe Kick, it’s gonna be lights out for ya’.
~ Booker takes a looks at Sharmell and Lauren before going back to the microphone.
Booker T: And da’ same goes fo’ yo’ buddy … Christian Cage. ‘Cause tonight I’m going to sho’ why I shoulda’ been da’ Number One Contender. So once I’m done wid’ him … I’ll be back fo’ you Rhino.
~ Some more heat for Booker.
Booker T: Yo’ betta’ be ‘eady, ‘cause yo’ ass is goin’ to take one hell’uva beatin’ … bitch! ‘Cause I ain’t about to dis’point my adorin’ fans in Hou’ton. Not for ‘yo … not fo’ an’body! An’ …
~ CAMBLAMOOOOO! Booker is suddenly taken out … and IT’S ‘THE WAR MACHINE’ RHINO!!!
Lauren: Oh my god!
~ Rhino and Booker push and fall around the interview set, pounding on one another, with fist flying everywhere, and the camera finds it hard to keep up. Rhino starts to club his forearms over the back of Booker, dropping him to a knee. Booker tries to catch his breath, but Rhino won’t let up. He then punts Booker in the gut, sending him to the floor. The War Machine then looks around in the area, and goes to the side … and comes back into view with a STEEL CHAIR!! AND BLASTS IT OVER THE BACK OF BOOKER! He then pulls ‘Tee back to his feet and has him by the neck and looks to smash him into a small production box near Lauren; who has to jump out the way! BUT BOOKER REVERSES IT AND SENDS RHINO INTO THE PRODUCTION BOX! And now Booker hits a couple of fists to the forehead as Rhino holds his back.
Booker T: Ya’ piece o’ white trash … C’MON BITCH!!!
~ Booker now picks up Rhino and hits a head butt right between his eyes, and then grabs him by the neck, and shouts in his face …
Booker T: WHAT, ATTACK ME?!!!
~ BOOKER THEN SMASHES RHINO’S HEAD RIGHT INTO THE WIDESCREEN TV WHICH HAS THE TNA LOGO ON IT … BUT, NOW IT HAS RHINO’S HEAD PLANTED INSIDE! Sparks fly off and Booker quickly flees the area and we hear, off-screen, Lauren shouts for medical attention. Rhino’s body seems limp expect for the occasion spasm of his leg or arm. EMT’s arrive on the scene as we fade to a commercial break …
{Commercial}
~ We come back to the broadcast and first zoom to the announce table, where Tenay begins to address the television audience.
Mike Tenay: Folks, if you missed it, here’s just what went down before the commercial break.
~ VIDEO OF BOOKER T AND RHINO BRAWLING ~
Don West: Sick. Just sick.
Mike Tenay: Sorry, if you may have been disturbed by some of that footage. And we can tell you that Rhino was taken away to a local hospital and is being treated as we speak. That’s all we know of at this time.
Don West: That just shows how far this rivalry is going, with Booker T just going extreme lengths to get his revenge on Rhino. Also, Mike, who knows if Rhino will even be able to compete at Victory Road.
Mike Tenay: Well I’m sure we will find out, hopefully we ca bring you more on this situation as it develops.
~ “I am, I am” then blast over the commentators and out comes fan favourite, AJ Styles. AJ gets a very big reaction and makes his way down to the ring, slapping hand with the crowd on the way. He is dressed in black and red wrestling tights.
Mike Tenay: Here he is, the one the only … ‘The Phenomenal One’ AJ Styles.
Don West: AJ Styles has been keeping very quiet over his secret mystery partner at Victory Road and it doesn’t look like he will give anything away.
Mike Tenay: Mind games, Don West. Mind games - we heard from Kurt Angle early is the programme and he said that he is not bothered, but I think you and I know that deep down Kurt Angle is frustrated.
Don West: Exactly Mike Tenay; Kurt Angle’s career has been focused on knowing his opponent inside out before the match, that’s why he has been so successful but AJ has just taken that away from him. A very clever tactic from AJ Styles.
~ “Screwed” then plays over the iMPACT Zone and out comes AJ’s former friend and allies, Tomko. Kurt Angle follows in the background as he will be at ringside doing commentary. Tomko and Kurt stroll down the ramp, oozing swagger and confidence. AJ waits in the ring, jumping on his toes and rolling his wrists.
Match #5 - Singles Match AJ Stylesvs. Tomko Kurt Angle is on commentary
The match starts of very attentively as AJ has his focus on Kurt at the announce table. Tomko has the better of the early going and dominates Styles with his power game, the action even spills to the outside where AJ is thrown back first into the steel ring steps. We join the match in its home stretch with Tomko in the ring and Styles just making it back into it, after nearly suffering a count out loss.
AJ crawls back into the ring, but isn’t given a moments rest, as Tomko starts to stomp the crap out of him. Referee, Rudy Charles, eventually has to pull him away, as Styles struggles to get up from hurting his back early in the match. Tomko pushes Charles out the way and goes straight back to work on AJ, who is now standing up, useing the ropes to stabilise himself. Tomko throws a right fist but surprisingly AJ is able to block it and then hits a left hand to the jaw, shocking Tomko. The Phenomenal One then hits a lovely knife edge chop, as the two meet in the middle of the ring, but Tomko just counters back by kicking AJ in the gut and then hitting a clubbing blow to the lower back. He then scoops up Styles and hits a RUNNING POWERSLAM … and makes the cover, 1 … 2 … ½! Angry, after the kick out, Tomko just mounts AJ (no, not like that) and pounds away at his forehead, repeatedly hitting the same point.
AJ shows no signs of making a comeback into the match, as Tomko picks him up, and has to support Style’s weight before knocking him straight back down with a Standing Clothesline. Angle now stands up out of the commentary table, and tells Tomko to ‘finish him!’ and Tomko tries to, as he pulls AJ back to his feet and looks to hit the Jumping Big Boot … he bounces of the ropes … AJ ducks the attempt … PELE~!! Out of nowhere! Styles crawls to make the cover, 1 … 2! Only two, but now he may be back in this match, as they both get back to their feet, AJ goes for the kick to the side of the gut, but Tomko blocks it, however Styles counters that with an Enzuigiri to the back of the head. Tomko gets back to his feet nearly straight away and whips Styles to the ropes, and showing off athleticism, AJ springboards off the ropes, and floats over to catch Tomko with an inverted DDT. He makes another cover, could this be it … 1 … 2 … ¾! So close.
Styles, now picks up Tomko, and is still holding his back - and sends him into the corner. He runs at his opponent but Kurt Angles lackey is able to get up the boot up, right to the face of AJ. Tomko then explodes out of the turnbuckle to hit a hard Lariat to the back of Styles’ head, sending him to the floor. Tomko looks to Angle and then the crowd and points at his fallen competitor. He then points at Kurt … and locks AJ in an ANKLE LOCK! Tomko tires to apply as much pressure as he can … making AJ feel the strain, however - AJ REVERSES AND PULLS TOMKO TOWARDS HIM FOR THE CRADLE PIN! He hooks both legs, 1 … 2 … 3!!
Winner: AJ Styles @ 8:28
~ Angle is left shocked as he stands up with his jaw wide open; we see Tomko on his knees is utter shock as Styles rolls out the ring and to the bottom of the ramp. He is holding his back and is grimacing, trying to convey a smile through the pain.
Don West: HOW’D YA’ LIKE THEM APPLES!?!
Mike Tenay: Tomko took his mind out of the game for a split second and Styles was there to pounce on his mistake. You have obviously not taught him how to apply the Ankle Lock correct, huh, Kurt?
Kurt Angle: Shut up, Tenay! AJ Styles was lucky … I’m stunned to how he got that win. But don’t worry, come Victory Road another fluke like that, WILL NOT happen.
~ Angle slams down the headphones and moves to the ring, still shaking his head. He and Tomko look at AJ as he walks backwards up the ramp, still joyful after his win.
Mike Tenay: Kurt Angle and Tomko have obviously been bewildered of to how Styles managed to get back into that match. And remember folks those two will be taking on AJ Styles and his mystery tag team partner in a tag team match at Victory Road.
Don West: Yes, Mike and you gotta’ say that AJ Styles really has the psychological edge over Kurt, even if he doesn’t want to admit it.
{Mike Tenay and Don West run through the rest of the card for Victory Road 2008 - I will do this in the future, just didn’t see the point to do it at the moment}

~ PROMOTIONAL VIDEO FOR TNA’S UPCOMING iMPACT SHOW IN ATLANTA IS SHOW. THE SHOW WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE 31st JULY, TWO WEEKS BEFORE HARD JUSTICE ~
~ We come straight back to the iMPACT Zone and to the announce table.
Mike Tenay: Welcome back, and I’m sure like me, you are pumped for the first HD broadcast of iMPACT outside the iMPACT Zone.
Don West: Well I sure am.
Mike Tenay: Thanks, Don. Well ladies and gentlemen, our main event is moments away but now it is time for part two of three of the sit-down interview I got to have with ‘The Instant Classic’ himself, the #1 Contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Title, Christian Cage. Be sure to check of tnawrestling.com to see the interview in all its glory.
~ We have a small package showing a small part of Cage’s titantron until we cut to the dark room where the interview is conducted with Tenay and Cage facing each other, the camera does over the shoulder shots for most of the interview. Interview is conduction, slightly in and out of character. Remember this had been edited so Tenay may ask a question, a clip is shown and Cage’s response will have been edit out for time.
Mike Tenay: Let’s talk about 2007. Final Resolution; you are placed in a three way, with Sting and Abyss and you captured the NWA World Title for a second time.
Christian Cage: One of the toughest matches in my career, facing one of those two alone was tough but to go up against both, was unthinkable. I was just happy to get through the match alive.
~ A clip is shown of Cage pinning Sting after a Frog Splash and clutching the belt by his chest.
Mike Tenay: Also weeks before, one of your best friends in the wrestling business, Tomko, made his debut in TNA and was by your side for the best part of a year.
Christian Cage: Yes, me and Tomko share a special bond, ever since our days in the WWE. We have this kind of connection, you know? We seem to know what each other are thinking and that really helped me over the years. He was always there for me, helped me through tough times in wrestling and outside. He’s a real stand up guy.
Mike Tenay: Well as you said, he helped you over the years, and so did the rest of the Collation, as you liked to call it {CC lets of a small smile}. Whose idea was it to bring you together?
Christian Cage: Well, when I was champion, I obviously had a big target on my back, so I needed backup. When I heard TNA had signed Tomko, I got right on my cell to him and told him I wanted him to be on my side. Then the rest fell into place.
Mike Tenay: Well, next in the Collation was Scott Steiner, and he even helped you retain your title at Against All Odds.
~ A clip of Steiner at ringside at AAO is shown, in which he helped Cage retain his title.
Christian Cage: Well when someone like Scott Steiner offers you his services … you’re not going to say no {} and I didn’t. He wanted in, so I let him.
Mike Tenay: Well let’s talk about the last component of the Collation … AJ Styles.
~ Clips of AJ and Cage hugging are shown
Christian Cage: Well, we needed a guy to help us to fill the Lockdown team. And before I was even in TNA, I heard about this guy - this new exciting guy, this guy who was supposed to have ‘it’. And well I saw the tapes and I was impressed. AJ has to be one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers I have seen, the things he can do; his speed, his quickness are all … well phenomenal. So he was a person who I had to get it.
Mike Tenay: Of course and what do you think of the relationship you, Styles and Tomko had?
Christian Cage: When it was the three of us, we were on top of the world … we were the top dogs. It was probably my most enjoyable time in TNA.
Mike Tenay: But your five month reign came to an end, at Sacrifice, I somewhat controversial fashion, as Kurt Angle was awarded the title.
~ Clips of Angle pinning Cage while tapping out to an Ankle Lock by Sting.
Mike Tenay: But you had a chance to regain the title at Slammiversary in the King of the Mountain match, but you were unsuccessful and this lead to your feud with Chris Harris, talk us through that.
Christian Cage: Well, I still thought I had a case to be champion, but I got on with it and was disappointed with not winning the King of the Mountain match. And things got a little heated between me and Chris Harris, and one thing lead to another and we had a match at Victory Road, and this was when Chris was just becoming and singles wrestler. I really respect the guy, he’s great in the ring and it was a shame he was released from TNA, but hopefully one day he will get back in shape and maybe we can have a rematch {smiles}.
Mike Tenay: You then had a serious of bouts involving, and renewing your rivalry with Sting and Abyss. Which were absolutely barbaric, if I do say so myself.
~ Clips of the matches are shown, where blood and guts were spilled.
Mike Tenay: Now, coming into the home stretch of 2007, and things weren’t looking good for the Collation were they?
Christian Cage: Well, no, it had come to a point to where the audience was board of seeing us, and when ever you are producing the same stale product then people don’t want to watch. So it was probably the best for them to move on, and for me to move on.
~ Interview shows a shocked Christian Cage looking at Styles and Tomko as they side with Kurt Angle. This concludes the second part of the interview.
~ "Take Over (Instant Classic Remix)" then hits as we come back to the iMPACT Zone, and the ‘Instant Classic’ comes out to an electric reaction.
Mike Tenay:The final part of that interview with Christian Cage will be shown next week on iMPACT. But now it’s time for our main event and here comes Christian Cage.
Don West: Cage is hoping to have his first TNA World Heavyweight Championship reign, having been a 2 time NWA World Champion.
Mike Tenay: Yes Dee-Dubya, Christian Cage will be facing Samoa Joe for the title at Victory Road in what promises to be a great match, the big question is will Christian be able to stop the seeming un-stoppable force, of Joe.
~ "Rap Sheet (TNA remix)" then blasts into Orlando as Bookah~! and Sharmell make their way out to the ramp to quite big heat, and after the incident early in the night, the crowd aren’t best pleased to see Booker.
Mike Tenay: Booker T really showed his true colours tonight. When he smashed Rhino’s head into a live plasma screen TV, leaving ‘The War Machine’ with who knows what types of injuries.
Don West: Defiantly Mike, Booker just showed no remorse when he smashed Rhino’s skull into that TV. I lost a bit of respect for him at that point.
Main Event - Singles Match Christian Cage vs. Booker Tw/ Sharmell
These two have an interesting history, and Booker’s actions early tonight helped fire the feud, as Cage came out early to attack Booker. Christian has the better of the early exchange and even had Tee locked in for the Unprettier but it is revered by Booker who hits a Superkick to the jaw of the Canadian. Booker T then tries to work Christian Cage over, making lots of quick covers to try and ware him out. We join the match as it enters its final minutes.
Booker backs Christian into the corner and hits a forearm to the face, knocking six bells out of Cage. He then swings Cage hard to the opposite corner, causing Christian to walk back to the middle of the ring from the impact and Booker pounces with a Side Walk Slam! He makes another cover, 1… 2 … ¼! No, Cage is able to get the shoulder up. Booker gets back to his feet and pulls Cage up with him, he lifts his head up and Tee smashes his forehead with a couple of right hands. Booker then kicks him in the gut, Cage keels over … Booker bounces of the ropes, but CC moves out the way, he then kicks Booker in the gut and pushes of the ropes, but Booker counters with a jumping kick to the face. The crowd ‘ohh’ and ‘ahh’ as Booker gets onto one knee and then performs a SPINAROONI in the middle of the ring, as he finishes the ‘Rooni Cage is just about up, slightly dazed. Booker grabs him in position for the Book-End, but Cage struggles out after hitting a couple of elbows, he then locks in for the Unprettier, he struggles to lock it in and Booker is able to grab Cage’s arm and twist and goes for the hook kick but cage ducks and counters for AN INVERTED DDT! He makes the cover, 1 … 2 … ½!
So close but Booker just gets the shoulder up, Cage stomps on him a couple of times, and then scales the turnbuckle to the second rope, he waits a moment for Booker to get up, and then hits a DIVING EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! The crowd pop and Cage in a flash then jumps up to the top rope and points to the sky … FROG SPLASH!! What a sequence of moves, he makes the cover, surely the end? 1 … 2 … ¾! NO! Booker just gets his right shoulder up in time. Cage can’t believe it, and his wore out face shows the expression of a man who thought he had it. Christian then gets up, while Booker remains on the canvas, he then goes to Booker’s legs and tries to lock in the Sharpshooter … he just needs to turn Booker … he just can’t do it and Booker send Cage face first into the turnbuckle; and it gives him a big of time to compose himself. Booker now hits Cage with a few kicks to the gut, and then hits a couple of thrusts to the gut in the corner. He now brings Cage u to the tope rope, and locks in for the superplex, Cage struggles it, and hits a left hand to the get, to make Bookah~! relax the hold.
Cage and Booker are now teetering on the top rope, but unexpectedly ‘The Instant Classic’ stands up and flips over Booker … SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMB!!! Booker’s head crashes on the canvas and CC bridges for the pin, 1 … 2 … ¾! Again Booker pushes out of the pin attempt. The iMPACT Zone cannot believe it, and Cage looks to end it now as he picks up a groggy Booker and locks in for the Unprettier … BOOKER REVERES IT INTO A BOOK-END!! How did he find the reserve to do that, he puts one arm across Cage, 1 … 2 … THREE-NO! Cage gets his shoulder up at the last second, referee Earl Hebner’s hand was just miler mitres from touching the canvas! Booker just rest’s his head on the mat in disbelief. Booker and Cage really slowly get to their feet, and then start to slug it out, one right hand after to another. Christian throws a lazy one and Booker is able to block it and then kicks CC in the gut … AXE KICK?!? NO! Christian just gets out of the way in time - and then in a split second catching Booker off guard - HE HITS THE UNPRETTIER!! 1 … 2 … 3! Yes, he has done it!
Winner: Christian Cage @ 10:02
~ Cage does it, he gets the win and his music plays as he celebrates this close fought contest. But however his joy is short lived … as “Crush U Up” blasts over the iMPACT Zone! It’s SAMOA JOE! And he bursts down the ramp, looking to pounce on the weakened Cage; Christian’s face just drops as he looks up to the ramp to see Joe coming ever closer. However, Cage looks at Joe and then puts out his hand, telling the Samoan to “BRING IT ON!” Joe comes into the ring and two start to brawl, and go at it. Joe, overpowers the weakened Cage and hits a couple of kicks to the midsection, and then hits a BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! Suddenly we see, Booker T who still looks like he is feeling the effects of the match, start to stomp all over Christian and then Joe picks him up and tosses him out the ring. The Samoan Submission Machine follows him to the outside and smashes his skull against the announce table, and then THE STEEL STEPS!!!
We then see Booker T leave the ringside area to the top of the ramp to a chorus of boo’s while some of the crowd are still focused on the Cage-Joe brawl. Then …“Stampede”… ITS RHINO, RHINO IS HERE!!!
Don West: NO FREAKIN’ WAY!!!
Mike Tenay: ‘The War Machine’ is here!!
~ Rhino, with his head wrapped in blood stained bandages starts to lay the shit out of Booker, hitting a flurry of punches and he then pulls Booker into the tunnel out of the view of the iMPACT Zone, all the while punching Booker wherever he can. Meanwhile, at ringside, Samoa Joe is still beating down Christian Cage, he now has him in the ring, and hits a couple of right hands to the jaw - backs him to the corner, lifts him up to the top rope and HITS THE MUSCLEBUSTER TO THE WEAK AND FRAIL CAGE!!! We go off air, with no commentary just the face of Samoa Joe looking directly into the camera the rings of boo’s in the background.

Scott Steiner may be taking time off from TNA, rumours around backstage is that he is carrying some small injuries. However, concerns are going around that people don’t want him to take time off as he is really rubbing off on Petey Williams and helping the X-Division star work on his mic skills.
Brian Kendrick has been released from his WWE contract early after breaking its wellness policy and receiving a third strike. It is said to be because of his use of cannabis. TNA creative writers have been in contact with Kendrick over coming to TNA, but he will not be able to compete because of WWE’s 120 day policy; though Kendrick is said to be trying to get this shortened because of his release from the deal.
Next week, we will have official confirmation if KENTA has signed a deal with TNA, so we will keep you posted on that.

Cyber Collision Results - Sunday 29th June
The Amazing Red def. Doug Williams @ 7:25
In Amazing Red’s return match to TNA, we saw him take on the Englishmen Dough Williams. The two had a great back and fourth battle, with the power of Williams going up against the agility, which hadn’t been lost in Red’s arsenal. The match came to an end when Williams when for the Bombs Away (Diving Knee Drop) but Red was able to move at the last second and hit a flurry of moves, first with the standing Shooting Star Press and then Spike DDT to set up for the Infrared; he hit it and made the 1-2-3 for a win on his return.
---
We next had a rundown of the card so far for Victory Road, including a Three Way Dance for the Knockout’s title. We had a promo run for that match, highlighting how Angelina Love and Roxxi qualified to face Awesome Kong.
---
Gail Kim & Taylor Wilde def. Christy Hemme & Jacqueline Moore @ 6:41
Knockout action next and the heavy crowd favourites of Kim and Wilde took on the two heel valets for Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection and Beer Money Inc. The match was very one sided with Kim and Wilde getting to show off there in ring ability, the match ended when Wilde hit a Missile Dropkick to Moore and made the cover, hooking both legs for the victory.
---
Next we had a promo for ‘The Alpha Male’ Monty Browns return. We then also had a promo cut by Kaz before his match that he is challenging Petey Williams to an X-Division Title match at Victory Road as he never got his full rematch. He said he is looking forward to Petey’s response, as soon a possible.
---
Kaz def. Eric Young via DQ @ 14:52
The main event was here and it was hotly anticipated, and it had two great X-Division-ers at its helm. We were treated to a high flying, technique affair that was given nearly 15 minutes. The match showed off both wrestlers move set, as Kaz hit a number of aerial moves while Young kept it very mat based trying to ware down Kazarian. The match looked to be coming to a finish when Kaz hit his Wave of the Future, and then pulled Eric to the top hit Back to the Future, but the resilient Young got his shoulder up. A couple of minutes later and a number of pin falls had passed, finally, when it looked like Kaz was about to set up for a Flux Capacitor … he was attack by X-Division Champion Petey Williams!!!
After the match was called a DQ, Petey and Young attacked Kaz and beat him down. Young and Petey hitting both Death Valley Driver and Canadian Destroyer, before Petey got on the microphone and accepted Kaz’ challenge. Their match was on for Victory Road! That ended this weeks edition of Cyber Collision
Good intro by the commentators, the video also helped remember what went down last week. It's been a long time since the last show, so any kind of reminders will be very helpful.
Good match by Hernandez and Shelley, both put on quiet a contest. Lots of good spots, especially with Shelley being tossed onto his partner after failing the SB2. Shelley looked strong, even though he didn't get as much offence in, it mostly came from taking all those big moves. The DQ ending made a lot of sense, too, and I liked that in the end, it didn't help Shelley out, as he took a Border Toss anyway. Anywho, I distinctly remember LAX being the heels in this program for some reason, but MCMG as the heels works, too. Solid stuff to kick off the show.
Great Angle interview, very intense, and had a lot of insightful things to say. With that said, the insight showed us a typical heel, but to be honest, there's nothing typical about Angle, he's one of the greats. The matches AJ will have against Tomko, and Tomko and Angle got good hype here, and even more intruige with what Angle hinted at. Looking forward to both matches, here and at Victory Road.
Match wasn't much, but the promo right after was very good. Beer Money stopping the table spot was a great way for them to get heat, and what they had to say was right on the, well, money. I didn't like Ray as much as I did Roode, since Ray kind of shrugged it off in a way that didn't really impress me, but Roode had some good points, and the brawl was good. I was expecting Beer Money to get the upper hand there, since 3D was just in a match (albeit a squash), but in the long run, 3D needed this one. Good stuff here.
The Alpha Male is good, his return will be most welcomed.
Short but sweet segment with Creed and Lethal. Seems as if this'll start to transition to a tag team feud, but if it does, it'll be good. The match later on should be very good, looking forward to what happens there.
Good reminder here, about the Knockouts Title situation. This match was solid, showcased both women well, and Angelina made good use of her friends, even though it didn't really seem as if she needed it. Angelina was in control when Roxxi was tripped, which didn't really do her any favors, but she still looked pretty good here. Angelina looked better, though, but still, I'm looking forward to the match at Victory Road.
Joe's interview didn't have the intensity I thought it'd have, and the first paragraph was pretty general, but it got better as it went along. I don't think we've seen the end of Nash just yet, and the Joe vs. Christian match is looking as good as ever.
Cornette's a jerk, but he made a good point against the Beautiful People. I didn't like that it took a moment for what he was getting at to register in their minds, made them look like, as he put it, blonde bimbos. I liked the part with Steiner better, Cornette was a bigger a-hole there than in the first part, but the good kind. Steiner vs. Abyss in a Hardcore Match should be brutal, another good match set up for Victory Road. It's shaping up very well.
Very good match, best one yet. These two worked well together, and it further established the relationship between Dutt and Bashir, only for a mix-up to possibly cost them. I was a little surprised that Lethal didn't get involved, I was expecting it against his huge rival, but since he didn't, it only helped Creed by taking the win. Great match here, looking forward to more from these four.
This is the intensity I felt Joe's interview should've had. Booker was great here, although there were two things I didn't really like. One, I don't like that Booker's hate for Rhino surpasses the hate he's had for everyone else, and we've seen Book mad. I know it's to make the feud seem bigger, but I didn't really believe it. Two, it sort of lost its flow towards the end, around where Booker started chanting his name. But other than that, it was great stuff, made me want to see them go at it, and that's what we got. Brutal brawl between the two, especially at the end with Rhino getting put through the TV. Awesome.
New best match of the night in this one, great stuff. I can tell you're not a fan of Tomko, but you utilized him very well here, he was very strong against AJ, who was also booked very well. Basic story of strength vs. speed, but executed very well. Angle on commentary would've been great, to put his team over, another very good move there. This one got me to look forward to the tag match, and whoever the mystery opponent might be. Great stuff here, great job.
Very good interview from Christian, I liked that it got out of kayfabe, although it might not have been the best idea to mention ideas and being split from the Coalition in a way that suggests outside powers that be. Still, it was great, a lot of deep stuff Christian said about guys, didn't pull any punches. And maybe a subtle hint at Chris Harris coming back? Maybe, but in any case, great stuff, looking forward to the third part.
Solid main event, one of the best matches of the night, but not quite the best. It was pretty fast-paced and had a ton of false finishes, which I didn't like too much (especially the Frog Splash, I firmly believe no one should ever kick out of that). I don't really want to see people kicking out of finishers except at PPVs, where they really matter. But anywho, very solid match, and good aftermath as well. A little predictable with Joe coming out, but I wasn't expecting Rhino. Basic beatdown by both men, but again, it was effective in sending the message. Good job.
Good stuff here, JayDee. All of the programs heading to Victory Road got attention, and the matches here were all good. A little too long for my general liking, but still a good read. Promos were also very good, especially Christian's Interview Pt. 2, and overall, great job for the first show in a long while, got me back on track, and looking forward to Victory road. 7.5/10.
“You, like Kevin Nash … will be made an example of.”
We are just two weeks away from Victory Road 2008, and things are about to get a whole more interesting, as we get closer to the showdown on the 3rd of July.
Last week we had the ultimate showdown between the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Samoa Joe and the #1 Contender, Christian Cage. After his brutal match with Booker T, Cage was attacked by Joe. He put up a brave fight but as we went off air the TNA World Champions has delivered the Muscle Buster as a final blow. What will be the fallout from all of this, Christian has said he wants to be a man about it but will Joe obliged to this, or will the Samoan continue his savage and reckless streak of havoc. Jim Cornette has also told us that Samoa Joe will be taking on, ‘The War Machine’ Rhino in the main event of iMPACT.
Speaking of Rhino, last week the man himself took one hell of a beating by Booker T, when his head was smashed into a widescreen TV. EMT’s rushed to the scene to check on Rhino and he was taken to hospital … or so we thought. Rhino later returned in the evening, with blood pouring from his head to attack his opponent for Victory Road, Booker T. We went off transmission as Rhino pulled Booker to the back, but as far as we know, the brawling continued until they were broken up by security. Booker and Rhino will most likely both discuss the issue Thursday, and with Rhino taking on Samoa Joe in the ME, he should have one eye open for Booker T.
Kurt Angle has also said that he will give AJ one more chance to announce he surprise partner for Victory Road before he starts to do things he isn’t in control of. Last week Kurt said he wasn’t angry, but after being interrogated by JB, it was clear to all that he was pissed off with Styles. Things look to becoming to a head this week.
A new match has been added to Victory Road and Kaz will now get his long awaited fair rematch for the X-Division Title, when he takes on Petey Williams. Announced after the Kaz-Eric Young match on Cyber Collision after Petey came down to the ring and attacked Kaz, in a match that he seemed about to win. Also this on C2 we saw Eric seem to form an alliance with his former Team Canada teammate, Petey Williams, hopefully we will hear more of this on iMPACT.
Also last week, we saw Angelina Love gain the upper hand on her fellow number one contender Roxxi. And this week the Knockouts will do what they do best … fight. The Beautiful People will be taking on Roxxi and her partner of choice, many are speculating whom it might be. Wait until iMPACT to find out.
Also see this as well this week:
Part 3 of the Christian Cage interview with Mike Tenay
X-Division action.
And we hear ‘The Monster’ Abyss about why he has been pointing to the heaven.
Don’t miss out, see all this and much, much more. Thursday night on SpikeTV at 9/8c

Yaaaar. Show up 5-10 days imo. Well I've been pretty inactive as of late, since leaving school. Benn just partying most of the time, and lazying around. But should get back into the swing of things soon enough.
Last week's actions from Joe didn't help him get any fan support, and I'm looking forward to seeing what Christian will have to say and/or do about it. The main event between Joe and Rhino sounds like a good one, and I'm expecting something dirty to come of it.
That's sort of what I meant, with Booker interfering, or maybe Christian. It'll also be interesting to hear from Booker as well, what he has to say about what he did, and to pick up on some subtle hints for future action.
AJ's mystery partner has been one of the biggest angles on the show so far, and I highly doubt you'll give it up right now. AJ's partner to be revealed at the PPV, please. Wonder what Angle means by "things he isn't in control of."
The alliance between Williams and Young is sure to cause difficulty for Kaz during his match for the X Division Title, but it'll make an interesting story. Hoping to hear more about this alliance, as the preview suggested.
Women's wrestling action is always a plus when done correctly, and that seems to be the case for this program. The tag match between TBP and Roxxi and Roxxi's partner should be a fun one, and I'm wondering who her partner'll be.
Part 3 of Christian's interview should be great, they've been highlights of the show so far, and I'm looking forward to some X Division action. I haven't noticed that Abyss has been pointing to heaven, might've been because I looked over the last show and he wasn't featured, and you don't update this regularly.
All in all, show looks good, I'll be checking it out, JayDee.
