I was going to give up on this, but no... instead, I'm gonna carry it on, but ALL shows will be recapped. I love booking, but I never have time to write full shows. You can read, and if you want, review, but honestly, I'm doing this for my own entertainment more than anything, so even just a couple of comments would be nice. Thanks.
And now, without further ado (it's only been delayed for about 6 months :P),
The pyro goes off and the show starts with the commentators for this PPV, Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler, run down the card. After this, we kick things off with the first match of the night, the Intercontinental Championship match!
Intercontinental Championship CM Punk (c) vs. Kawal CM Punk and Kawal have a very back-and-forth match to begin with, until the new star Kawal starts to show why he's the number one contender. He got a near fall when he hit the Black Magic, and after a Corkscrew 450 splash, but CM Punk fought back, taking out Kawal with a one-handed Bulldog and getting a nearfall himself. Kawal got another advantage with a DDT and attempted the Warrior's Way, but CM Punk rolled out of the way, Punk then tripped Kawal and locked in the Anaconda Vice and Kawal had no choice but to tap out. Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion: CM Punk via Submission @ 7:45
Matt Hardy is interviewed backstage. He says tonight, he will call the match 100% down the middle, and will be a fair referee.
#1 Contender's Match (US Title) Montel Vontavious Porter vs. Hurricane Helms MVP dominates the early going of the match being the bigger man and being able to pull off more powerhouse moves. He hits a few suplexes and slams and gets a few near falls until Hurricane Helms reverses a powerbomb attempt into a hurracarana. Hurricane gets to the top rope and takes out MVP with a crossbody, getting a two count. Hurricane attempts toe Eye of the Hurricane after this, but it is reversed and MVP takes out Hurricane with a belly-to-belly suplex. MVP then picks up Hurricane and throws him into the corner, setting him up for the Player's Boot. Hurricane moves out of the way, and grabs MVP's throat for the Hurri-chokeslam, but MVP kicks Hurricane in the gut and sets him up for the Player's Boot again, this time hitting it and getting the pinfall. Winner and #1 Contender for the US Title: Montel Vontavious Porter via pinfall @ 6:59
Randy Orton promises tonight he will win the Inferno Match against Kane. He says that even though Kane has put that mask back on, he's still the same old pathetic loser that Orton knows he can beat. Orton says he's winning tonight and he's going to WrestleMania 25 whether the McMahon's like it or not.
Inferno Match; If Orton loses, he doesn’t go to WrestleMania Randy Orton vs. Kane Orton does a lot of ducking and diving to start the match, avoiding all of Kane's moves and trying to trick Kane into falling into the fire. Eventually, Orton gets taken out with a Big Boot from Kane and Kane almost gets him into the fire before Orton reverses with a low blow. Orton tries to force Kane's head into the burning apron, but Kane fights out of it and the two continue to brawl in the middle of the ring. Orton reverses another attack from Kane into a backbreaker and the two lay in the middle of the ring for a bit. Orton recovers first and picks up Kane, he tries to Irish Whip Kane into the fire but Kane reverses the whip. Orton manages to stop himself but in doing so walks right into a European Uppercut from Kane. Kane then takes out Orton with a Chokeslam! Kane looks to have the match won, when Orton rakes his eyes and dives into Kane, sending Kane flying into the apron and the fire, causing him to set alight. Winner: Randy Orton @ 9:57
Eventually, Kane is put out and so is the fire around the ring. Orton raises his arms having done what he promised until Shane McMahon attacks him from behind with a lead pipe. Shane tells Orton that he may be going to WrestleMania 25, but he will be fighting Shane McMahon in a No Holds Barred Match!
Women’s Championship Match Beth Phoenix (c) w/ Glamorella vs. Melina Glamorella use every chance they can to cheat for Phoenix and give her the advantage but eventually they are kicked from ringside, leaving it one on one. From there, despite Phoenix being bigger and badder, Melina manages to fight back and eventually hits the Extreme Makeover out of nowhere for the win. Winner and NEW Women's Champion: Melina via pinfall @ 6:19
Backstage, Legacy (Rhodes, DiBiase, Manu, Sim Snuka) make a vow not to get disqualified tonight but to walk home with the tag championships.
World Tag Team Championships; Triple Threat – Title Changes Hands on a DQ Team Priceless (c) w/ Legacy vs. Cryme Tyme vs. John Morrison & The Miz DiBiase started in the ring with Shad Gaspard and John Morrison. Gaspard dominated the early going, taking out both Morrison & DiBiase with ease. Gaspard took his time in picking apart the two, until they decided to double team him. DiBiase then double crossed Morrison and locked in the Million Dollar Dream to try and make him submit. Morrison escaped out of it and took out DiBiase with a DDT before tagging in Miz. Miz sprung into action, taking out Gaspard who had just got up, and taking down DiBiase with the Mizard of Oz, but only getting a two count as Rhodes broke the count. Gaspard tagged in JTG and DiBiase managed to push away Miz and tag in Rhodes and the three fresh guys went at it. Rhodes took out Miz with a clothesline and then rolled up JTG, using the ropes for leverage. The referee didn't see this and counted the 1,2,3. Winners and STILL Tag Champions: Team Priceless w/Legacy via pinfall @ 11:14
Tommy Dreamer says in an interview that tonight is his night.
ECW Championship Jack Swagger (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer It's back and forth until Swagger takes out Dreamer with a German Suplex. Swagger continues the offense with a Gutwrench Suplex, and then a Vertical Suplex and getting a near fall. Dreamer fights back, using his fists to do the talking, getting Swagger in the corner dazed after a few punches to the face, but Swagger fights back with a Running Knee Lift. Swagger then hits the Gutwrench Powerbomb for a, to be honest, quite easy victory. Winner and STILL ECW Champion: Jack Swagger via pinfall @ 7:25
Triple H makes an appearance. He comes to the ring and says that as alot of people may have noticed he hasn't been seen since the Royal Rumble. Triple H says it's because he's been training as hard as he can. He reveals his plans to go to WrestleMania 25 and get a World Title shot, against either John Bradshaw Layfield or Shawn Michaels, and he promises that he will win and become champion once again.
WWE Tag Team Championships; Tag Team Turmoil Los Colon (c) vs. Hawkings & Ryder vs. America's Most Wanted vs. Yang & Naki vs. The Brian Kendrick & Ezekiel Jackson Los Colon start in the ring with Yang & Naki. The tag champions beat this team easily and get themselves off to a good start, after Carlito pins Kung Fu Naki after a Backstabber. Out next are Kendrick & Jackson, and although they put up a good fight, once Jackson was taken out with a hurracarana from Primo, a backstabber from Carlito put away Kendrick to eliminate them also. Next out were Hawkings & Ryder, who almost got a few pinfalls on Primo but once again, Carlito came to the rescue taking out Hawkings with a Backstabber and picking up the pinfall. The last team to come out were America's Most Wanted. Primo at this point was out cold thanks to James Storm and so Carlito was essentially fighting two-on-one. Carlito fought his hardest though, taking out Harris by throwing him over the top rope and leaving it to him and Storm. He hit the Backstabber on Storm and looked to have the win but when the referee was distracted, Harris cracked a Beer Bottle over Carlito's head, giving Harris a pinfall over Carlito. Winners and NEW Tag Champions: America's Most Wanted via pinfall @ 12:00
Shawn Michaels says that he's waited for years to get his World Title back. And it's gonna happen tonight.
World Heavyweight Championship John 'Bradshaw' Layfield (c) vs. Shawn Michaels JBL and HBK had a back-and-forth match for the first eight minutes, both stars hitting their signature moves but neither of them getting the winning pinfall. HBK hit JBL with a second Atomic Drop and then took him out with a crossbody but got only another two count, leaving the both of them laying. The referee counted to 8 before HBK kipped up and set up for the Sweet Chin Music. JBL got to his feet and turned around, but grabbed HBK's foot and reversed into a Clothesline From Hell! JBL pinned and it looked to be over but HBK kicked out at two! JBL decided to set him up for the Powerbomb and lifted him up, but HBK reversed and began punching JBL in the face over and over. HBK set up for the Sweet Chin Music again and hit it perfectly! 1...2...3! Winner and NEW World Champion: Shawn Michaels via pinfall @ 13:01
Shawn Michaels celebrates his victory, having won the World Championship again finally! Triple H comes out to the ramp and stares down his newest rival, old partner, Shawn Michaels.
WWE Championship Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Edge Special Referee: Matt Hardy Matt Hardy played by the rules for most of the match. He'd break up the action when it got out of hand, he'd count rope breaks, pins and countouts fairly and normally. It was quite a back and forth match. This was until about ten minutes in, when Jeff Hardy climbed the top rope and went for the Swantom Bomb but Edge moved out of the way. Edge then Speared Jeff Hardy and went for the pin. Matt counted fairly, but Jeff put his foot on the rope at 2 and Matt pointed it out to Edge. Edge didn't like this and pushed Matt around telling him to make the proper damn count. He then Speared Jeff again and pinned him, but Matt refused to count because of the way he was treated. Edge got up, irate, and pushed Matt again. Matt warned Edge but he continued to push him, so Matt took out Edge with a Twist of Fate. Jeff hit the Swantom Bomb for the 1...2...3! Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Jeff Hardy via pinfall @ 15:58
