"Prime Time Wrestling"
January 9th, 1989

Hosts:
Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Gorilla Monsoon: Hello everyone and welcome to Prime Time Wrestling! We got a great show for you tonight so let me introduce my co-host Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

Bobby Heenan: I thought I was going to be the host this week?

Gorilla Monsoon: I started the show Brain, therefore I am the host. Didn't you ever listen to the intro of the show?

Bobby Heenan: I don't have to listen to the intro. My job is to host the show. some.., some humanoid back there does that crap!

Gorilla Monsoon: To be a good host you have to do your homework Brain.

Bobby Heenan: Who told you that? This is not Days of our Lives Gorilla!, besides.. I'm a natural! I don't need to do any homework.

Gorilla Monsoon: You're really something Brain. Well folks tonight we have some heated action in the ring between Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, but in a matter of moments we will take you to down to ringside during a match between the Jumping Bomb Angels (Itsuki Yamazaki & Noriyoi Tateno) and the current Women's Tag Team Champions, the Glamour Girls (Judy Martin & Lelani Kai).

Bobby Heenan: Thats my job Gorilla! Will you shut your trap so I can lead those humanoids to our first match.

Gorilla Monsoon: Relax Brain. Here I'll give you something to talk about! Tonight we also have a two part interview as "Mean" Gene Okerlund sits down and discusses his feud with Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

Bobby Heenan: Is he going to have his snake with him?

Gorilla Monsoon: I don't know Brain. You will have to just wait and see.

Bobby Heenan: If he does it may very be the last time you see that slimy thing again!

Gorilla Monsoon: Snakes are not slimy Brain, but lets get to that match between the Jumping Bomb Angels and the Glamour Girls before we run out of time.

Bobby Heenan: You always have to get the last word in...

Jumping Bomb Angels Vs. Glamour Girls

This match has seen a lot of tags and a lot of hair pulling, but not much action up to this point. Itsuki Yamazaki and Judy Martin are the legal women as Lelani Kai puts her knee into the back of Yamazaki as she is whipped into the ropes causing her to lunge forward as Judy Martin rolls her up into a small package 1..2..Itsuki Yamazaki kicks out at 2. Judy Martin tags in Lelani Kai, but Isuki was able to crawl over and tag in Noriyoi Tateno before the Glamour Girls could stop it. Lelani Kai sling shots off the ropes and catches Noriyoi in a flying cross body and the cover 1..2..Itsuki makes the save in time. Judy Martin pulls Isuki out of the ring by her foot as Lelani Kai gets up on the top turnbuckle and connects on a flying splash! Lelani Kai hooks the leg 1..2..3

Glamour Girls are the winners by pin fall.

Commercial Break

Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome back to Prime Time Wrestling. Coming up in Part #1 of our exclusive interview with Jake "The Snake" Roberts we take a trip back to the very beginning! Leading up to what caused this bitter rivalry and Jake's obsession with people's fear in snakes.

Bobby Heenan: They are poisonous and can kill you in a matter of seconds Gorilla!

Gorilla Monsoon: Most of them yes Brain. Damien is not going to hurt anybody! You should grow up and stop being so scared!

Bobby Heenan: You're one to talk Gorilla!

Gorilla Monsoon: I'm not afraid of snakes Brain! You know the reason so many here in the WWF call you the weasel?

Bobby Heenan: Any claims tied with those un-truthful comments are not relevant since they don't have any proof that I am a weasel.

Gorilla Monsoon: We will leave this discussion for another time Brain. Let's give it away to "Mean" Gene!

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund & Jake "The Snake" Roberts (Part #1)

Gene Okerlund: Hello everybody! Please welcome my guest this evening, he is one of the most recognizable figures in the World Wrestling Federation. He has battled his way through the likes of Junk Yard Dog, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, King Kong Bundy, Honky Tonk Man and most recently "Ravishing" Rick Rude. Jake Glad to have you here again.

Jake Roberts: Well I came here for a reason, you see I have been in the WWF for a very long time and have wrestled against some of the biggest men the WWF has to offer. Damien has had the opportunity to have a little fun on occasion. Nothing wrong with that.

Gene Okerlund: Let's go back to when it all started for you in the WWF. It seemed like it was a lot easier for you back in 1986. You were undefeated! You laid Rocky "The Dragon" Steamboat out with a DDT on the concrete, causing him to be stretched away from ringside.

Jake Roberts: Nobody had seen a man like me before Gene. I took the WWF by surprise. To this day the whole WWF is afraid of Damien and as long as that continues matched by the fact that I am the smartest man in the ring My dominance will continue.

Gene Okerlund: Lets move on to King Kong Bundy where this bitter feud with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan started.

Jake Roberts: King Kong Bundy as big as he is was no match for Jake Roberts, you see he was a slow predictable tub of lard in which I took care of on many occasions. Bobby Heenan has a problem with me he should stand eye to eye with me and settle it like a man, yet he hides behind the biggest men he can find and I'll tell you what Bobby Heenan. They can't stop me either!

Gene Okerlund: The Honky Tonk Man really proved a point recently after you and the Honky Tonk Man squared off against each other. He went on to win the Intercontinental Championship, where as you had a few run ins against a member of the Heenan Family in Rick Rude. Do you feel that the Honky Tonk Man took too much out of you recently?

Jake Roberts: Not at all Mean Gene. The Honky Tonk Man might have got some nice jabs in, but Jake the Snake don't measure success by victories, you see Jake Roberts measures success by the destruction left behind. I am a loner Gene. I am at my best when I work alone. There is no one else in the WWF like me Gene. Everyone may see one thing in the ring, but I see it totally different. Jake the Snake is going no where, but up and there is nothing that can stop me.

Gene Okerlund: On that note this ends Part #1 of our interview with Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Part #2 we will be talking more about Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & Andre the Giant in what his plans are for the near future.

Overall: 91%

Gorilla Monsoon: In his short three year stay in the WWF Jake "The Snake" Roberts has sure done a lot!

Bobby Heenan: He hasn't done a thing Gorilla! His best moment was when he shut that Steamboat idiot up. Since then he has been nothing more than a problem to the World Wrestling Federation.

Gorilla Monsoon: I wish someone would shut you up! I got it! Lets take a commercial break and come back after we look for some duck tape.

Commercial Break

Gorilla Monsoon: Alright were back to Prime Time Wrestling, but we were not able to get any tape for the Brain here lets head down to ringside where Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake is taking on Greg "The Hammer" Valentine with that annoying Mouth Jimmy Hart!

Bobby Heenan: Ok, I'm back what did I miss?

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (w/"Colonel" Jimmy Hart)

Greg Valentine and Jimmy Hart were trying every dirty trick in the book to put Brutus Beefcake away early on, but Brutus Beefcake was one step ahead of every attempt. Brutus has the upper hand at the moment with a standing arm bar keeping Valentine down on one knee. Greg Valentine makes his way to his feet and pokes Brutus Beefcake in the eye. Greg Valentine irish whips Brutus Beefcake into the turnbuckle, then rushes the corner sending a elbow into the side of the barber's head.

*Jimmy Hart is on the ring apron distracting the referee Joey Marella while Greg Valentine unclips his shin guard.*

Greg Valentine lunges with the shin guard and connects on a mini splash with the shin guard nearly knocking out Brutus Beefcake!

*"Outlaw" Ron Bass runs out to ringside and slides into the ring with his whip Miss Betsy. Greg Valentine slides out of the ring and Ron Bass looks over at Brutus Beefcake which is trying to climb up the ropes to his feet.*

Ron Bass charges Brutus Beefcake, but Beefcake drops down to the mat and Ron Bass ends up on his ass outside the ring. Brutus Beefcake rolls out of the ring and starts stomping Ron Bass, but Ron Bass was able to get out of the way and runs backstage.

*Brutus Beefcake is yelling to Ron Bass that he can't hide next Sunday at the Royal Rumble!*

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake is the winner by disqualification.

Gorilla Monsoon: We are back in studio along side of me is Bobby Heenan.

Bobby Heenan: They know I'm here Gorilla!, you know, that Ron Bass is a good friend of mine. He helped me buy a horse one time.

Gorilla Monsoon: You had a horse Brain? There is no way from what the WWF pays you would never be able own a horse.

Bobby Heenan: You don't believe me Gorilla? What leads you to believe that I am lying?

Gorilla Monsoon: *Laughs* Ohh... Brain! Let's just get on with the show shall we?

Bobby Heenan: Is this where we go back and have to snore through another Jake Roberts interview?

Gorilla Monsoon: You have your voice every week here Brain. It's about time we hear the other side of the story!

Bobby Heenan: There is no other side of the story Gorilla! The snake is a problem and that is that. Actually, I'm kind of anxious to hear what this pin head has to say.

Gorilla Monsoon: Well you can listen now as we go down to "Mean" Gene Okerlund with Jake "The Snake" Roberts!

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund & Jake "The Snake" Roberts (Part #2)

Gene Okerlund: Welcome back everyone. Let's get right back into the interview shall we? Now Jake you attacked Andre the Giant with Damien October 29th on Saturday Night's Main Event causing an apparent heart attack. What do you have to say about your actions on that night?

Jake Roberts: I shouldn't have to explain my actions on that night, you see Andre the Giant interfered when I was about to latch on and execute a DDT ending Rick Rudes night! For those actions he got what everyone else gets that crosses my path!

Gene Okerlund: You squared off against Andre the Giant, Rick Rude and others in a Survivor Series match in which you're Team lost. That seems like a major set back. What was going through your mind at that time?

Jake Roberts: I picked the wrong guys to go to battle with apparently. Rick Rude was on the receiving end of a DDT and Andre the Giant took me to a inch of my life, but It didn't kill me. It only made me stronger! Rick Rude felt the devastation!

Gene Okerlund: Only days later you almost got your revenge when you interrupted a World Heavyweight Championship match between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Andre the Giant. Wasn't that enough?

Jake Roberts: No it's not enough Gene! Andre the Giant has made Damien mad and this won't end until Damien has his day!

Gene Okerlund: That brings up to last week where on this very show Bobby Heenan revealed that he is heading an investigation trying to stop you from bringing Damien down to ringside. What do you have to say about that?

Jake Roberts: I'm not worried about any of that. Andre the Giant and Bobby Heenan better be worried about whats going to happen to them in the ring instead of Damien, you see Andre, This is not going to end. You can't keep an eye open twenty-four hours a day. When that happens I'll be lurking ready to pounce on the opportunity!

Gene Okerlund: Thats for being here tonight Jake Roberts. Thats all the time we have for you. Lets take it back to Gorilla Monsoon.

Overall: 91%

Gorilla Monsoon: Thank you Mean Gene! We'll be right back after a word from our sponsors!

Commercial Break

Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome back to Prime Time Wrestling. Is there anything that you would like to add about our last segment?

Bobby Heenan: Only that Jake Roberts is a dirty, stinking, liar!

Gorilla Monsoon: He only talked about the facts Brain.

Bobby Heenan: He said that Andre and I are only thinking about getting rid of Damien, but we are also thinking about ways to get rid of the bigger picture as well.

Gorilla Monsoon: How are you going to do that Brain?

Bobby Heenan: I'm not going to tell you that Gorilla! Do I have stupid written across my forehead?

Gorilla Monsoon: If you want me to be honest...

Bobby Heenan: Don't.... Don't answer that question. Let's just get on with the show.

Gorilla Monsoon: Lets do that shall we? Our next match is a special one as this may very well be the last time we see this man wrestle. It's only fitting that the one man that watched him, traveled with him, spent many hours a day with him, that being his brother. Lanny Poffo & Randy Savage went toe to toe last week and we have the finish of one of those matches for you. Lets take it down to ringside!

"Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/Elizabeth) Vs. "Leaping" Lanny Poffo

The match was evenly fought through out the early stages with a lot of fast paced action. Randy Savage comes off the ropes into a sleeper hold by Lanny Poffo. Randy Savage is fading quickly and is now on one knee. Referee Earl Hebner raises the arm of Savage and lets go, the arm falls to the mat. Hebner picks up his arm a second time with the same result. Hebner picks up Savage's arm for a third time and lets go only this time his knuckles don't slap the mat for three! Randy Savage is drawing energy from the crowd along with a little help from 2 or 3 elbows to the midsection. Randy Savage irish whips Lanny, but no Savage just took his head off with a clothesline!

*Randy Savage grabs his tights and holds up his other pinky slowly turning in a circle before climbing to the top of the turnbuckle!*

Randy Savage holds up his arms, then measures up his downed opponent and leaps off the turnbuckle landing a elbow drop square into Lanny's chest! Savage hooks the leg 1..2..3!

*After Randy Savage celebrates with Elizabeth and the WWF World Heavyweight Championship he extends his arm to his brother and helps him up. They both stare at each other before hugging in the middle of the ring. Randy Savage holds up Lanny Poffo's arm in victory before leaving ringside.*

"Macho Man" Randy Savage is the winner by pin fall.
Overall: 45%

Gorilla Monsoon: What a man that Randy Savage is. A display of true sportsmanship from the World Wrestling Federation champion. I sure hope to see Lanny Poffo again in the near future.

Bobby Heenan: Why would you want to see that washed up nobody?

Gorilla Monsoon: I hear the man is very bright and can do wonders to the WWF backstage. Look at you Brain, you don't wrestle in the ring, but still rearing your ugly head all the time.

Bobby Heenan: Lanny Poffo is not of the same caliber as the likes of me! Come on Gorilla.... I think that was the stupidest thing I ever heard you say!

Gorilla Monsoon: You may be right, but I got a surprise for ya and you never even seen it coming!

Bobby Heenan: What are you talking about?.. What?.. What is this surprise?...

Gorilla Monsoon: You went off the air last night challenging Ultimate Warrior to a Super Pose Down at the Royal Rumble on Sunday! You couldn't stop talking about it all day, but haven't said a peep about it all night long!

Bobby Heenan: Yeah so?... That was yesterdays news! The Ultimate Maniac is too scared to accept the challenge and we all know it!

Gorilla Monsoon: I think your wrong about that Brain. We have a little clip from late last night from the Ultimate Warrior and his thoughts about your challenge.

Bobby Heenan: Well let's see it!

Angle involving the Ultimate Warrior

*The camera comes on and the Ultimate Warrior is seen standing in front of a backdrop with the Intercontinental Championship around his waist.*

Ultimate Warrior: The Warrior has a message for the one they call Rick Rude! The little Warriors plan of destiny lies through you! I am at the mercy of the powers that be and that means sacrificing you to depths of a shallow eternity. Rick Rude you challenge me and I accept your challenge because I am not afraid of challenge! You are afraid of challenge and I will prove that on Sunday night January 15th! The powers will lead me to victory and you will feel the pain and destruction!

*Ultimate Warrior starts pumping his fists towards the sky gathering the strength to talk more jibberish*

Ultimate Warrior: You have sealed your destiny Rick Rude! My blood boils from all this energy and by the time I meet you Rick Rude... I will wreak havoc on you and everything around you!

*The Ultimate Warrior runs off scream pumping the sky as the camera fades to black.*

Overall: 94%

Gorilla Monsoon: There you have it Brain! The Ultimate Warrior has accepted your challenge at the Royal Rumble!

Bobby Heenan: Everything is going according to plan. The Royal Rumble will be a huge night for the Heenan Family! Rick Rude will have everyone in the stadium drooling at his feet with his exceptional body! Andre the Giant will toss out 29 other men and win the Royal Rumble match ending all doubt of who is the biggest figure in the World Wrestling Federation!

Gorilla Monsoon: I hope that works out for you Brain. Well folks, thats all the time we have for you tonight see on Saturday!

"News, Rumors & Gossip"

"Leaping" Lanny Poffo may have had his last wrestling match of his career!

This past week we saw the last in ring appearances by Lanny Poffo. Lanny and his brother Randy "Savage" Poffo rose through the ranks in their fathers promotion International Championship Wrestling (ICW). Lanny will be working on his next venture with the WWF behind the scenes. No word on when we will be seeing Lanny Poffo in some form again.

WWF releases their findings surrounding Bobby Heenan's claims towards Damien!

We would like to say that we take every claim seriously here in the World Wrestling Federation. Bobby Heenan's claim of Jake "The Snake" Roberts use of his sidekick Damien was causing undue harm to the other workers. We have concluded that there is no evidence supporting Mr. Heenan's claims and Jake Roberts will be allowed to conduct his business as usual unless there is evidence brought forth. The WWF will investigate further if there is any leads.

WWF release some information on recent roster moves!

After some thought by president Jack Tunney some changes were in order. First he jumbled around the workers status moving a some of the newer talent that was either gaining popularity or falling flat on their face. Among those speculated are Brutus Beefcake, Sam Houston, Paul Roma, Red Rooster and others.

The WWF added some workers to the roster including; The Conquistadors, Iron Mike Sharpe, Scott Hall and rumor has it the WWF will be starting a debut campaign for some big stars in the first half of 1989, Tossed around names include; King Kong Bundy, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Dynamite Kid & Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. The WWF has not released any information as to whom those "Big Names" could be.

There has been no releases to report at this time.

Jumping Bomb Angels back in the United States to challenge for Women's Tag Team Championships!

The Jumping Bomb Angels from Japan have recently returned to the United States. They want another shot at the WWF Women's Tag Team Championships. These two teams will travel the house circuit for a month or two before settling on the titles.

Review to you
Opening is funny. Heenan is dead on, here. I miss Heenan/Monsson relationship man. I have no hope in a main event featuring Beefcake. Never cared for him. Even as a kid.

Women’s Tag Match- I forgot WWF had a women’s tag titles and all that. Short recap. Nothing really to say. I’m not a fan of women’s wrestling. Never have been.

Jake Roberts interview- I see what you were saying about Gene in your review of my show. He isn’t just a prop holding the microphone for the wrestlers. He actually interviews. You did it great. I like the review of Robert’s WWF career. Roberts in his prime is untouchable.

Okay, the Beefcake match wasn’t as bad as I thought. Here come Ron Bass to take out Beefcake. I’ve got to say, you handle this feud pretty well. I like the push for Ron Bass. Something I wouldn’t have expected from a BTB.

Roberts Part 2 sets up the angle with Andre the Giant. A great angle if I say so. Andre’s one true fear just happens to be Roberts’ gimmick. Love it. Heenan trying to bar Damien from Ringside. Classic fed.

The Champion is in action next! Savage vs. his brother. I like how you don’t shy away from pointing out that they’re brothers. Savage looks strong heading into the Rumble.

Warrior Promo…HAHA. You hit it on the nose. Rude/Warrior was a great feud for Warrior man. Where we go…lol. Warrior accepts his challenge and we are on at the Rumble.

Overall a fun little show. You’re stuff flows together well and having read you first couple of shows, it has gotten better and better. I hope mine can.

Ax and Boris Zukoff start out this tag team match up. Ax gains the advantage in the lock up with a knee to the midsection. Ax chops Boris and irish whips him off the ropes into a hip toss. Ax stomps away on Boris as he tries to get up off the mat. Ax picks Boris up and body slams him, then Ax holds down the shoulders for a 1 count from referee Tim White. Ax tags in Smash and he climbs the second turnbuckle and connects on a double ax-handle while Ax held Boris in place. Smash drives a knee into the sternum of Boris Zukoff, then stomps on Boris a couple times before bouncing off the ropes into a nice knee drop to the head. Smash goes for the cover and gets a early 2 count.

Smash tags Ax in and they both send a bunch of rights to Boris, then Demolition irish whips Boris off the ropes and connect on a double elbow. Nikolai seems to have had enough and as Tim White tends to Smash he enters the ring and catches him off guard with a short clothesline. Smash is pleading with Tim White and works against Demolition as Boris Zukoff has got back to his feet and the double team on Ax changes the direction of the match to the Bolshevicks favor. Nikolai stays in and Tim White assumes he is the legal man as Boris gets a much needed breather. Nikolai clears the ring of Smash and Ax drops off the apron to talk things over with his partner.

Action resumes as Smash and Nikolai waste no time exchanging rights! Nikolai kicks Smash in the midsection, but Smash responded with a clothesline. Smash quickly tags in Ax and they both run over and ground Boris Zukoff before double teaming Nikolai Volkoff. Demolition connect on a double suplex and a double clothesline, then set Nikolau up for the decapitator elbow and connects! Ax hooks the leg while Smash tends to Boris Zukoff 1..2..3!

He will wallow in self pity for a while then angry at him self for not being as good as anyone else, then he will come back and lose a bunch of matches before he retires because he can't bring himself to stand out in front of these ruthless fans.

The Powers of Pain irish whip Roma into the ropes and double clothesline him forcing Roma to do a complete 360 before hitting the mat. Referee Dick Kroll tries to retain order and this allows Paul Roma to crawl over and make the tag to Jim Powers. The same time the Powers of Pain give each other a high five making the Warlord the legal man. Jim Powers runs towards the Warlord, but is met with a cracking chop to the chest sending him crashing onto the mat. Powers gets right up and another huge chop by the Warlord sends him back down. Jesse Ventura: I wonder what they have to say McMahon!

Vince McMahon: I hope they explain their actions on Wrestling Challenge where they brutally attacked "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Down to you Mean Gene!

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & The Brain Busters

Gene Okerlund: Thank you Vince, standing here with me is Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and his tag team combination of Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard... The Brain Busters. Last week you three men viciously attacked "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan from behind! Why would you do such a thing?

Arn Anderson: The reason is Mean Gene that Tully and I are here in the WWF to make sure that any member of the Heenan family is treated fairly. That means whenever anyone stands in the way of a member of the family we will be there to restore order! We had reason to believe that Jim Duggan was going to try and stop Andre the Giant from winning the Royal Rumble on tomorrow night that we decided to make the first and only move ensuring Andre the Giant of his victory.

Gene Okerlund: So you're nothing better than a couple cronies?

Tully Blanchard: You got it all wrong Gene. We are doing a job and getting paid really well, you see Gene... With the huge following the family has you need to have people in place to make sure no one gets stupid ideas in their head. Jim Duggan is a stupid man Gene!

Gene Okerlund: You two are nothing more than a couple of cowards! Where does blindsiding your opponents constitute justice? You two men can't face Jim Duggan face to face can you?

Bobby Heenan: Listen chrome dome! Don't be inviting us out here and then try and tarnish the Heenan Family name! Those humanoids out there need a group of people to look up to! They need to get off their lazy butts and do something with their lives!

Gene Okerlund: I think you're making a mockery out of the World Wrestling Federation so does the Hart Foundation! What do you intend to do about them Brain?

Bobby Heenan: If the Hart Foundation has any brain cells left in their think skulls they would turn around and mind their own business. Anytime you play with fire you're going to get burned and thats exactly what Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart are doing!

Gene Okerlund: We'll have to see about that! I know the Hart Foundation and they are not the ones to back down from any challenge!

"The Mighty" Hercules Vs. "Outlaw" Ron Bass

Both men are already in the ring when the camera targets ringside. Ron Bass gains the upper hand with a poke to the eye, but Hercules sees the clothesline coming and ducks out of the way and sends a mule kick square into the midsection dropping Ron Bass to his knees. Hercules turns around and lifts Ron Bass up by his chin, then measures up a thunderous chop to the chest, followed by another one, and another one before irish whipping Bass off the ropes into a shoulder block. Hercules goes for the cover 1..Ron Bass easily kicks out. Hercules applies a chin lock onto Ron Bass wrenching back while leaning on the small of his back.

Ron Bass finally makes his way to his feet and a couple elbow shots to the midsection he was free of Hercules' grasp. Ron Bass sling shots off the ropes into a power slam by Hercules. Hercules hooks the leg 1..2..Ron Bass gets his shoulder up. Hercules picks Ron Bass up and connects on a couple rights to Ron Bass, then picks Bass up in position for a backbreaker, but no it's a side slam and Hercules grabs the leg and the cover 1..2..Ron Bass once again is able to get a shoulder off the mat. Hercules sling shots off the ropes and attempts a knee drop, but Bass rolls out of the way and is able to get out of the ring for a breather.

Hercules keeps breaking the ten count allowing extra time to recover for Ron Bass. Hercules has had enough and exits the ring, but Ron Bass quickly walks around the ring and enters on the other side. Hercules follows suit back into the ring, but Bass has recovered from the beating and unleashes some stiff rights of his own. Bass drives Hercules back into the turnbuckle, then irish whips him across the ring into the other turnbuckle. Bass picks up Hercules and sets him on the top rope, then climbs up on the second turnbuckle setting up a suplex and they both crash hard onto the mat.

*Brutus Beefcake comes walking down to ringside as the two men in the ring crash down onto the mat and stands near the ring looking on as the two men lay on the mat trying to recover from the devastating move.*

Ron Bass is first to his feet and sees Beefcake standing at ringside. They both exchange words and point at each other when Hercules makes it to his feet, but Bass sees this and turns around to continue his attack on Hercules. Hercules charges Bass, but Bass moves out of the way and Hercules hits referee Joey Marella instead as he was trying to get Beefcake to leave ringside. With Marella out cold Beefcake grabs the whip and enters the ring, but Ron Bass quickly slides out of the ring and runs backstage with Beefcake right behind. Hercules is in the ring helping Marella back to his feet and Marella starts the ten count. Bass never returns to the ring and is counted out giving the victory to Hercules.

Vince McMahon: I guess you have a point there Jesse, but Ron Bass is obviously afraid of Brutus Beefcake. There is no denying that! ..... I understand we are going backstage where there is something going on between the Rockers and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan!

Angle involving Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & The Rockers

Bobby Heenan: Hey Shawn and Marty! I got a proposition for you two!

Shawn Michaels: Do ya? Just what might that be?

Bobby Heenan: I have an opportunity of a lifetime! Who knows how long a couple of punks like you will last in the WWF!

Marty Jannetty: Who are you calling punks? Our intensity is stronger than anyone else in the WWF!

Bobby Heenan: You're going to need a lot more than intensity to over come the odds! You're challenge should you choose to accept it is a 2 on 1 match between you the Rockers and Andre the Giant tonight!

Shawn Michaels: You want the two of us to take on the biggest man in professional wrestling?

Bobby Heenan: Thats what I said dummy! You hard of hearing too?

Marty Jannetty: I don't know if we should go through with this Shawn. Andre the Giant is a big man and has beating many men at once in the past. Besides... I think there is some thing more to this than a straight up 2 on 1 match.

Shawn Michaels: But like the Weasel said... It's an opportunity of a lifetime! This is just the kind of thing to put the Rockers on the map! We should not have much problem winning the match. It's the two of us verses one man!

Bobby Heenan: Well... I don't have all night! Whats you're answer, yes or no?

Marty Jannetty: You got yourself a deal Heenan!

Shawn Michaels: Yeah! Get prepared for some rockin' and a rollin' tonight!

*The action returns to ringside where Howard Finkel is ready to announce the competitors for the next match.*

Howard Finkel: This next bout is a special 2 on 1 tag team bout. In the ring to my left weighing in at a combined weight of 455 pounds... Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels... The Rockers!!! Making his way to the ring weighing in at 540 pounds... Andre the Giant!!!

The Rockers Vs. Andre the Giant (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan)

Shawn Michaels starts out the match as they would have to tag in and out legally only having one man in the ring at once. Shawn is pacing the ring looking for a opportunity to gain the upper hand and Andre, then Andre tries to make the first move, but Shawn quickly moves out the grasp of Andre. This goes on for sometime before Shawn tags in Marty Jannetty hoping the double team will put the momentum in the Rockers corner. This strategy backfires as Andre the Giant clotheslines both of them as they come off the ropes. Both Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels quickly roll out of the ring and huddle up trying to form a better strategy.

Shawn Michaels distracts Andre the Giant while Marty Jannetty slides into the ring and rushes Andre from behind and connects on a double ax-handle, but has no effect on Andre as he turns around and grabs Jannetty, then picks him up and body slams him hard to the mat. Shawn Michaels tries to get into the ring, but referee Dave Hebner stops him from doing so. Andre the Giant picks up Jannetty and slams a forearm down on the top of Jannetty's head sending him back down to the mat.

Bobby Heenan runs around the ring to where Shawn Michaels is and starts to argue with him causing Michaels to lose concentration on the match. Andre the Giant bounces off the ropes and comes crashing down sitting on Jannetty nearly crushing him in the process. Dave Hebner falls to the mat and begins the count 1..2..3

Vince McMahon: Welcome back to Superstars of Wrestling! Time is running out on another great episode so let's take you right down to ringside where Howard Finkel is getting ready to announce the competitors for the main event!

Howard Finkel: Making his way to the ring accompanied by "The Doctor of Style" Slick... weighing in at 457 pounds... "The African Dream" Akeem!!! ..... And making his way to the ring accompanied by Miss Elizabeth... weighing in at 245 pounds and the current World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion... "Macho Man" Randy Savage!!!

"Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/Elizabeth) Vs. "The African Dream" Akeem (w/Slick)

Randy Savage and Akeem lock up in the middle of the ring and neither man gain an advantage as they walk into the ropes. Randy Savage breaks the hold allowing Akeem to move off the ropes, but Akeem takes control with a stiff boot to the midsection. Akeem picks Savage up and connects on a gut buster, then sling shots off the ropes attempting a big splash, but Savage moves out of the way in time. Savage comes right back with a heavy dose of right hands before he irish whips Akeem off the ropes and attempts a shoulder block, but Akeem stands tall.

Savage bounces off the ropes and attempts another shoulder block, but was met with the same result and Akeem laughs off the failed attempts and head butts Savage for his troubles. Savage is staggering as Akeem comes off the ropes and connects on a successful shoulder block of his own sending Savage to the mat. Randy Savage quickly gets back to his feet and blocks a right hand, then reverses it into a arm bar. Savage is really wrenching hard twisting and pulling the arm with all his might. Akeem breaks up the hold with a thumb to the eye and Savage is once again down on the mat after a big body slam.

Randy Savage does not stay down for long though as he is right back up. The two men are going back and forth with a flurry of righ hands neither man backing down. Randy Savage ducks a shot and runs off the ropes attempting a cross body block, but Akeem catches him in mid air and Randy Savage is wiggling to get out of the predicament, but gets slammed anyway. Akeem picks Savage up and irish whips him into the turnbuckle and give chase behind him, but Savage stops short of the turnbuckle and catches Akeem with a back elbow. Savage climbs the turnbuckle quickly and comes crashing down with a double ax-handle, then follows that up with a standing drop kick. Akeem is still standing and Randy Savage sling shots off the ropes and finally takes Akeem off his feet with a flying forearm. Savage goes for the cover 1..2..Akeem bench presses Randy Savage off of him breaking the count. Randy Savage goes back to the attack with a chin lock on the still grounded Akeem.

*Slick runs backstage and returns to ringside with the Big Bossman as Akeem finally gets to his feet and breaks the chin lock with a series of elbows to the midsection.*

Randy Savage tries to keep the momentum as he goes to pick Akeem up for a body slam, but just can't get the big man off up and over. Akeem head butts Savage, then attempts a clothesline, but Randy Savage ducks the attempt. Akeem comes back off the ropes for another try, but Savage drops to the mat and Akeem runs over him to the other side of the ring and keeps his momentum going, but Savage hooks the arm into a high elevating hip toss for such a big man. Savage goes right back into a chin lock hoping to wear down Akeem as he watches the Big Bossman outside the ring waiting for any type of attack, but the Big Bossman seems to be content and stand by watching the action in the ring.

Akeem gets back to a vertical base again and Randy Savage irish whips him off the ropes into a sleeper hold. Akeem is fading and the Big Bossman is now starting to get agitated outside the ring and Slick climbs to the ring apron distracting referee Earl Hebner. The Big Bossman sneaks around the ring grabs a chair and slides in the ring behind Randy Savage.

*Hulk Hogan comes running down to ringside and tries to enter the ring.*

Randy Savage breaks the sleeper hold and Akeem falls to the mat. Randy Savage goes over to confront Hogan, but Hogan starts going nuts wanting Randy Savage to turn around, but Savage is more worried about getting disqualified and demands Hogan leave the arena all the while the Big Bossman lurks from behind waiting for the perfect opportunity to finish off Randy Savage.

Hulk Hogan jumps off the ring apron and Earl Hebner leaves the ring to force Hogan out. Randy Savage turns around to check on Akeem, but was met with a steel chair over the skull and the Big Bossman throws the chair out of the ring and jumps out of the ring. Hulk Hogan grabs Earl Hebner and moves him out of the way and gives chase to the Big Bossman, but the Big Bossman is able to get away backstage with Hogan right on his tail. Akeem is finally getting back to his feet and sees Randy Savage down on the mat and goes over to pick him up off the mat by the hair.

Akeem tries to pick Savage up for a body slam, but Savage still has life left and blocks it, then reverses the attempt into a rolling cradle for the cover 1..2..3 Randy Savage quickly gains his composure and exit the ring running backstage.

Randy Savage: See!... That's where you got it all wrong! The Macho Man don't need anyone to protect him! I can't take care of myself! I don't need you or anyone else for that matter!

Red Rooster Vs. Brooklyn Brawler (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan)

The Red Rooster is a bit hesitant to lock up with the Brooklyn Brawler, but does so after a few minutes. The Red Rooster attempts a knee to the midsection, but the Brooklyn Brawler blocks it, then he sets the Red Rooster up into a nice suplex. The Brooklyn Brawler reaches around and applies a chin lock wrenching back with everything he's got! The Red Rooster gets out of the hold with a face rake, then quickly gets to his feet and picks the Brooklyn Brawler up into a body slam. The Red Rooster bounces off the ropes as the Brooklyn Brawler makes it to his feet and meets a stiff clothesline dropping the Brooklyn Brawler back to the mat. The Red Rooster kicks the Brooklyn Brawler in the midsection, then picks him up and irish whips him hard into the turnbuckle and the Brooklyn Brawler drops to the mat.

*Bobby Heenan jumps up on the apron and distracts the Red Rooster and referee Dick Kroll comes over to take care of Heenan.*

This allows enough time for the Brooklyn Brawler to roll out of the ring, then grab the roll of quarters that Heenan left by the turnbuckle and slides back into the ring. The Red Rooster turns around, but the Brooklyn Brawler drops the Red Rooster with one right hand. The Brooklyn Brawler picks the Red Rooster up and sets him up for a swinging neck breaker and hooks the leg 1..2..3!

Jesse Ventura: Thats right Monsoon! 30 men will enter only one will remain!

Gorilla Monsoon: Who do you think has the best chance at winning the Royal Rumble tonight Jesse?

Jesse Ventura: My money is on Andre the Giant! He is by far the biggest man in the WWF and quite frankly there is no one that stands a chance against the 8th wonder of the world.

Gorilla Monsoon: Thats a very good answer Jesse. Thats a surprise coming from you.

Jesse Ventura: Don't start Monsoon! Let's get on with the program.

Gorilla Monsoon: Well then... Let's go down with Sean Mooney standing by.

Jimmy Hart: What number did you get? What did you get?

Honkytonk Man: It don't matter what number I have. All my fans have been so good to me it's time I give them something back and that is a Royal Rumble victory!

"The Mighty" Hercules: *Pulls his ping pong ball out of the tumbler.* Hmmm, I won't be bought or sold tonight! I have a long night ahead of me and a lot of other WWF superstars to go through to be the last man standing. Only the strongest will survive!

*The Rougeau Brothers get angry, but leave without incident.*

Jake "The Snake" Roberts: *Pulls a ping pong ball out of the tumbler.* You know... everyone is all worried about what number they are going to be. Me... It don't matter what number I am because I only have one goal and thats to eliminate the big man Andre the Giant! Everything else will just fall into place after I accomplish that.

Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome back to ringside where in moments we will be starting our first match of the evening between Harley Race and King Haku. What are you're thoughts Jesse?

Jesse Ventura: King Haku is going to destroy Harley Race tonight Monsoon! Harley Race should stay retired. He has no business getting back into the ring with today's competitors!

Gorilla Monsoon: Harley Race may be a little over the hill Jesse, but I'm sure he still takes care of himself and will put up a good fight. He might even win this match Jesse!

Jesse Ventura: I think you're in denial Monsoon. That washed up has been don't stand a chance here tonight!

Gorilla Monsoon: Well I guess were are going to find out now won't we Jesse. Let's go backstage where Tony Schaivone is standing by with Harley Race.

*The camera cuts backstage where Tony Schaivone is standing with Harley Race.*

Tony Schaivone: Welcome Harley Race. Let me get strait to the question everyone is wondering about. Why did you come out of retirement for this match tonight here at the Royal Rumble?

Harley Race: I have been sitting around for quite some time now watching King Haku and let me tell you that I am not happy with what I have been seeing. The King should be one whom represents the World Wrestling Federation in such a manner that reflects what the World Wrestling Federation is all about!

Tony Schaivone: What is it thats King Haku doing that you don't approve of and what do you intend to do about the situation?

Harley Race: The World Wrestling Federation is about respect, honor & giving 110% each and every night. I intend to defeat King Haku tonight and take back what is rightfully mine. The crown and title of King! King Harley Race will be back tonight! There is nothing Haku can do about it. You'll see!

Gorilla Monsoon: Harley Race didn't look like he had any rust there Jesse. I'd say he wrestled a pretty good match.

Jesse Ventura: He lost Monsoon! How can you say that about a man that lost?

Gorilla Monsoon: Because he put up one hell of a fight Jesse! Just because you're hand is not raised in victory don't mean you're washed up!

Jesse Ventura: In my book it does Monsoon!

Gorilla Monsoon: You keep thinking that way Jesse. Sooner or later you will figure everything out and then you will realize. We have word that Sean Mooney is standing by backstage with "The Doctor of Style" Slick and the Twin Towers. Let's go to you Sean.

Interview w/Sean Mooney, "The Doctor of Style" Slick & the Twin Towers

*The Camera cuts backstage where Sean Mooney is standing with "The Doctor of Style" Slick and the Twin Towers.*

Sean Mooney: I have with me at this time "The Doctor of Style" Slick and the Twin Towers. Slick my first question is this... What were you and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase talking about earlier?

Slick: Well you know lame brain the Million Dollar Man and I go way back. We were just discussing each others plan of attack for the Royal Rumble.

Sean Mooney: To me and I'm sure everyone else at home it looked as if Ted DiBiase was trying to buy a better number off one of you're men here.

Slick: You got it all wrong my near-minded idiot. Ted DiBiase didn't buy anything from me, but maybe a piece of jewelry or two that I have been pushing, but no we did not exchange entry numbers for the Royal Rumble!

Big Bossman: Are you calling the Slickster a liar Mooney?

Sean Mooney: Why no I'm not Bossman.

Big Bossman: Thats good or you would be doing some hard time as the hands of Akeem and myself! That also goes for everyone else in the Royal Rumble!

Akeem: Thats right! We are hungry and ready to win the Royal Rumble. Those guys that call themselves the Mega Powers don't stand a chance tonight!

Slick: This match was made for the big man and I have two of them! The odds are in our favor and later tonight you will see just what the Doctor of Style is talking about!

*The Twin Towers and Slick laugh as they walk out of camera view.*

Overall: 60%

Gorilla Monsoon: Do you believe that Slick is telling the truth?

Jesse Ventura: Why sure I do Monsoon. What reason would I have to not believe him?

Gorilla Monsoon: Slick has been shady in the past Jesse. Look at what they have done to the Mega Powers! If the Twin Towers can eliminate the Mega Powers tonight it would be a huge victory for Slick.

Jesse Ventura: If it does happen whats the big deal? Wouldn't you rather see Ted DiBiase enter last or one of the Twin Towers?

Gorilla Monsoon: That's not the point Jesse. That would be plain cheating and that stuff needs no home here in the WWF. Next we have the Super Pose Down between the Intercontinental Champion Ultimate Warrior taking on "Ravishing" Rick Rude. This could be a breath of fresh air as something like this is rare in the WWF.

Jesse Ventura: Thats right Monsoon! Rick Rude physique is second to none! The Ultimate Maniac don't come close. That man is sagging at every key spot where Rick Rude blows people out of the way with his chiseled muscles.

Gorilla Monsoon: Interesting... Let's go down to ringside where "Mean" Gene Okerlund is standing in the middle of the ring to kick off the Super Pose Down!

Howard Finkel: Making his way to the ring weighing in at 252 pounds... "Ravishing" Rick Rude!!! and Making his way to the ring weighing in at 275 pounds... the WWF Intercontinental Champion... The.. Ultimate.. Warrior!!!

Super Pose Down involving "Mean" Gene Okerlund, Ultimate Warrior, "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Gene Okerlund: Hello everyone.. this is a Super Pose Down! Let me explain the rules. There is three rounds of poses which these two men will perform for you. You get to decide the winner of each round and ultimately the winner of the Super Pose Down! When I ask you all you have to do is scream either your approval or disapproval and thats how we will determine a winner. Wha.. what do you want?

Bobby Heenan: Can we get on with this? My man is not getting any younger!

Gene Okerlund: We are starting now! Can you wait five seconds?

Bobby Heenan: No I can't! Let's get on with this thing already!

Gene Okerlund: Alright. Rick Rude why don't you come over and tell us what the first pose is going to be.

Rick Rude: Alright little man. My first pose is going to be a double bicep pose. With this pose you want to be looking for the height of the bicep and the definition of the muscles.

*Rick Rude goes to work posing for the crowd as they boo! Next the Ultimate Warrior steps in the middle of the ring and the crowd goes nuts as he makes the pose to the crowd.*

Bobby Heenan: Listen up! I think the people here in Houston are intelligent people, but you have to give credit where credit is due and Rick Rude deserves some credit!

Gene Okerlund: The crowd is choosing whom they think is the best. Now... Rick come over here and tell us what you're second pose is going to be.

Rick Rude: Ok little man. My second pose is simply called... best abs. What you want to look for here is definition in the abdominal region. Looking at how all the abdominal muscles line up together. This pose will show everyone exactly why i'm the sexiest man alive!

*Rick Rude is moving his hips around before each pose as he goes around the ring again with loud disapproval from the fans in attendance. The Ultimate Warrior which is not as defined as Rick Rude, but still gets a great crowd reaction as he makes his way around the ring posing to the twelve-thousand plus in attendance.*

Bobby Heenan: What is wrong with this picture!? My man clearly has the better physique! Don't you humanoids ever see anyone with a great body or are you all just used to the lazy slob three-hundred plus pound buffoon you work with every day!

Gene Okerlund: Thats enough Bobby Heenan. You're not going to win this Super Pose Down with words like that!

Bobby Heenan: All I am saying is even if you don't like the man you got to be honest and give the man some credit!

Gene Okerlund: You are the one's that challenged the Ultimate Warrior to the Super Pose Down now you got to deal with what the people here think! It's that simple. Now.... Rick what will be you third and final pose be?

Rick Rude: Well pin head my final pose will be a medley of poses! Every thing packed into one last pose. You have to look at the overall body tone, definition and muscles. The peaks and the valleys. Everything! I hope the losers here in Houston are able to give a unbiased opinion and award the man who truly deserves the win in the Super Pose Down!

*Rick Rude goes through a series of poses not once around the ring, but twice really trying to get a good crowd reaction, but this time the crowd is louder with their boos and disapproval than before. The Ultimate Warrior begins his series of poses and as he starts his second time around the ring Rick Rude attacks him from behind! Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan kick and punch the downed Ultimate Warrior unleashing some heavy punishment! Help comes from backstage to chase Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan off, but the damage has been done and the Ultimate Warrior is left face down on the mat... no wait the Ultimate Warrior is showing signs of life! He gets up and runs away from ringside giving chase to Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan!*

Ultimate Warrior wins the Super Pose Down.
Overall: 77%

Gorilla Monsoon: It's obvious who the winner of the Super Pose Down is Jesse!

Jesse Ventura: Yeah It's Rick Rude! He took it upon himself laying waste to the Ultimate Maniac. Rick Rude took the decision right out of the fans hands. They didn't deserve to determine the winner anyway Monsoon!

Gorilla Monsoon: The Ultimate Warrior clearly had the crowd behind him Jesse, and thats what this was all about!

Jesse Ventura: The crowd was biased Monsoon! How can you accept that? They are morons, and should have never been a part of the Super Pose Down.

Gorilla Monsoon: They were and thats who determined the winner Jesse. There is nothing you can do about it now!... We have word that "Mean" Gene Okerlund has caught up to Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan and has a few words to say to them.

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund, "Ravishing" Rick Rude & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

*The camera cuts backstage as Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan are running down the corridor as Gene Okerlund stands in front of their locker room.*

Gene Okerlund: What in the world were you thinking Rick taking out the Ultimate Warrior like that?

Rick Rude: You see little man it's not about winning or losing! It's about taking control of the situation and thats just what I did. Now get out of our way we have things to do!

*Bobby Heenan is in the background pacing back and forth looking to see if the Ultimate Warrior is coming.*

Gene Okerlund: You're not getting away this easy Rick! Tell me... What does blind siding your opponent have to do with control? Seems to me all you're doing is making the Ultimate Warrior mad!

Rick Rude: We don't have time to answer these questions little man...

*Rick Rude shoves Gene Okerlund out of the way and both Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan rush inside the locker room and close the door.*

Gene Okerlund: Those men sure got themselves into a lot of trouble! Back to you Gorilla!

Overall: 91%

Gorilla Monsoon: They sure did Jesse! We seen how mad the Ultimate Warrior was and I for one would not want to be on the receiving end of that mans revenge!

Jesse Ventura: The Ultimate Maniac is not very smart Monsoon. Bobby Heean is the smartest man in the WWF and they are going to play mind games to gain the advantage over the Intercontinental Champion.

Gorilla Monsoon: Do you really think thats going to work Jesse?

Jesse Ventura: Sure it will Monsoon! Once the Ultimate Warrior makes a mistake someone in the Heenan family will be there to make him pay. The Heenan family needs some gold and Rick Rude is just the man to do it!

Gorilla Monsoon: ...and as much as I hate to say it... The Heenan Family will take a step in the right direction tonight as Andre the Giant is the odds on favorite to win tonights Royal Rumble!

Jesse Ventura: So we agree then?

Gorilla Monsoon: I'm merely speaking from a fans point of view.... It's almost time for the Royal Rumble match where we will indeed see if Andre the Giant can win the Royal Rumble without Bobby Heenan as it seems he and Rick Rude have left the arena, but first we have a bitter match between Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and "Outlaw" Ron Bass in a Hair Versus Hair match to end this strange rivalry!

*Clips of matches and confrontations between the two competitors from the past six months show to the fans watching on Pay Per-View.*

Jesse Ventura: Brutus Beefcake has been out done to this point Monsoon! My pick is the "Outlaw" Ron Bass to win this match and put a stop to this obsession The Barber has with cutting his opponents hair!

Gorilla Monsoon: Without further a due... Let's give it over Howard Finkel with the introductions!

Howard Finkel: This next bout is a special Hair Versus Hair match! The winner of the match will cut the hair of the losing competitor. The match must end in a pin fall or submission..... Making his way to the ring weighing in at 286 pounds... "Outlaw" Ron Bass!!! and Making his way to the ring weighing in at 273 pounds... Brutus.. "The Barber".. Beefcake!!!

Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Vs. "Outlaw" Ron Bass

Ron Bass attacks Brutus Beefcake as he gets into the ring with a few forearm smashes to the back of Beefcake. Bass picks Beefcake up and irish whips him off the ropes. Beefcake ducks a clothesline attempt and keeps his momentum going off the ropes and this time has his head down for a back body drop, but Beefcake stops and kicks Bass in the right shoulder area. Beefcake puts Bass in a arm lock turning and twisting with a ton of pressure. Brutus Beefcake tries to pick Bass up by the arm, but was unsuccessful which allowed Ran Bass to a quick hip toss and holding the left arm in a arm bar of his own. Beefcake is in a sitting position with Bass on one knee behind him pulling on that twisted arm of Beefcake with all his might. Beefcake denies submission and eventually rolls to his left and getting Ron Bass to break the hold. Both men are on their feet and both start exchanging rights with great accuracy. Ron Bass gains the upper hand driving Brutus Beefcake into the turnbuckle.

Ron Bass continues the assault with a series of shoulder blocks to the midsection of Beefcake, then Bass picks Beefcake up and sets him on the top of the turnbuckle. Ron Bass climbs the turnbuckle to the top, but Beefcake starts punching away at the midsection of Ron Bass, then pushes Bass backwards off the turnbuckle, then Beefcake stands up on the second turnbuckle and drives a elbow smash to the forehead of Bass! Brutus Beefcake hooks the leg 1..2..Ron Bass lifts his left shoulder. Brutus Beefcake goes back to work on the right shoulder/arm area of Ron Bass with a arm lock grinding his knee into the bicep/shoulder area while wrenching on the forearm/wrist! Ron Bass breaks up the hold with a face rake. Both men are on their feet, but Bass is clearly favoring his right arm. Bass goes for a clothesline, but Beefcake ducks it and as Bass turns around he is met with a stiff mule kick to the midsection, then Beefcake drops Bass to the mat with a standing drop kick. Beefcake body presses Bass for the cover 1..2..Ron Bass kicks out.

Beefcake picks Bass up and body slams him back down hard to the mat. Beefcake sling shots off the ropes as Bass rolls over and Beefcake steps over him keeping momentum off the ropes, but this time Ron Bass is standing, but not long enough to defend a high knee lift squarely hitting it's mark in the sternum of Ron Bass. Beefcake goes for the quick cover, but only gets a one count this time. Beefcake starts stomping away on Ron Bass, but Bass is able to roll out of the ring, but is short lived as Beefcake quickly follows and they start brawling, then Bass finishes the melee slamming Beefcake's head off the steel fence separating the fans from the action. Ron Bass throws Beefcake back into the ring stopping the ten count. Back in the ring Ron Bass continues the assault by picking up Beefcake and connecting on a gut buster. Bass jumps and drives down his knee onto the sternum of Beefcake. Ron Bass hooks the leg 1..2..Brutus Beefcake kicks out.

Ron Bass picks up Beefcake and irish whips... no Beefcake reverses the irish whip and Bass comes off the ropes and gets caught in a desperation sleeper hold attempt and was quickly able to reverse the sleeper hold into a single arm chicken wing, then Bass finishes it off with a belly to back suplex. Ron Bass whips his arm around like swinging a whip, then picks up Beefcake and locks his head into a reverse side headlock. Ron Bass tries to lift Beefcake up, but the attempt is blocked! Ron Bass tries again with the same results, then Beefcake picks up Ron Bass into a firemens carry and shows off his power for a smaller competitor walking around the ring before lifting Bass up over his head and dropping Bass onto his knee completing the gut buster.

*Brutus Beefcake struts around the ring swinging his arms like he is using his shears.*

Brutus Beefcake picks Ron Bass up and irish whips him off the ropes and is able make it count locking in the sleeper hold! Ron Bass slowly drops to his knees and crumbling into a lifeless position! Referee Earl Hebner motions to start the three count and holds up the arm of Ron Bass letting go for the 1 count! Hebner picks up the arm for the second time letting go dropping to the mat for the 2 count! Hebner picks up the arm of Ron Bass for the third and final time and again it falls to the mat for the 3 count! Earl Hebner motions for the bell!

Howard Finkel: The winner of the Hair Versus Hair match is... Brutus.. "The Barber".. Beefcake!!!

*Ron Bass is out cold as Brutus Beefcake reaches into his bag and pulls out a pair of scissors. Beefcake picks up the lifeless head of Ron Bass and starts chopping away throwing hair all over the ring! Beefcake then pulls out a electric razor and shaves him bald in front of the roaring crowd!*

Gorilla Monsoon: Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake just humiliated Ron Bass in front of twelve-thousand plus fans tonight Jesse!

Jesse Ventura: I don't believe it Monsoon! How can that joke able to win the match! I want to see a rematch!

Gorilla Monsoon: The damage has been done Jesse as the "Outlaw" Ron Bass is now balder than a babies behind!... The time has come ladies and gentlemen! It's time for the biggest match in professional wrestling today! The Royal Rumble match where thirty men will enter and only one man will stand victorious!

Jesse Ventura: Thats right Monsoon! Only the biggest men survive a match like this and their is plenty of big men entering the Rumble!

Gorilla Monsoon: Let's get the action started with Howard Finkel standing in the ring to explain the rules.

Howard Finkel: The next match is a thirty man Royal Rumble match. The only way you can get eliminated is by going over the top rope and any part of your body hitting the concrete. Two men will start out the Royal Rumble and one man will enter every two minutes until all thirty men have entered the Rumble.... Introducing the man that drew number one... One half of the WWF Tag Team Champions... Demolition...Ax!!! and making his way down to the ring the man that drew number two... the other half of the WWF Tag Team Champions... Demolition... Smash!!!

Royal Rumble 1989

Ax (#1) and Smash (#2) start out swinging back and forth towards each other surprising the crowd that the WWF Tag Team Champions would fight each other. Ronnie Garvin (#3) enters the rumble and Demolition stop fighting each other and double team Garvin before looking tired of the fight and tosses Ronnie Garvin (#1) out right before Greg Valentine (#4) enters the rumble. Greg Valentine puts up a fight with Demolition's double team not backing down and actually getting some nice closed fists dropping Ax at one point, then Hercules (#5) enters the rumble and it's a 3 on 1 against Valentine. Raymond Rougeau (#6) enters next and tries to help Valentine, but Ax & Smash eliminate Greg Valentine (#2) due to Hercules stopping Raymond Rougeau from breaking it up.

The Blue Blazer (#7) enters the rumble. Raymond Rougeau standing next to the ropes looked too appealing as The Blue Blazer (#3) eliminates himself by being too careless. Big John Stud (#8) enters the rumble and quickly tosses out Hercules (#4) by grabbing his head and easily throwing him over the top rope. Demolition is working on Raymond Rougeau, then Big John Stud comes over and throws Demolition out of the way and tries to toss out Raymond Rougeau by himself. It doesn't work as Demolition come back and attack Big John Stud leaving Raymond Rougeau to catch his breath. Honkytonk Man (#9) enters next and gets in the middle of Demolition and Big John Stud attacking Smash. Raymond Rougeau & Honkytonk Man are able to eliminate Smash (#5).

The Warlord (#10) enters the rumble and quickly goes after Ax which is fighting off both Raymond Rougeau & Honkytonk Man. Raymond Rougeau & Honkytonk Man turn their attention over to Big John Stud and this allows for the Warlord and Ax to fight 1 on 1 with some stiff moves from both competitors. Tito Santana (#11) enters the rumble and helps Big John Stud fend off both Raymond Rougeau & the Honkytonk Man. The Barbarian (#12) enters the rumble and the Powers of Pain start a double team on the lone remaining member of Demolition. Not long after Ax (#6) is eliminated. The Powers of Pain turn their attention to Big John Stud, but Big John Stud was able to eliminate Honkytonk Man (#7) when he pandered to the crowd after a nice move on Tito Santana.

Mr. Perfect (#13) enters the ring, but don't engage on the attack instead he sits back into the turnbuckle watching the other five men battle. Jim Neidhart (#14) enters the rumble and sees that Mr. Perfect is just standing there and attacks him. Both men go toe to toe neither gaining ground then the other men get a break through as Raymond Rougeau (#8) gets eliminated by Tito Santana. Marty Jannetty (#15) enters the rumble and helps Jim Neidhart against Mr. Perfect. Big John Stud has been on Powers of Pain for quite some time and has been back and forth. Tito Santana is over aggressive when running over to help Jannetty and Neidhart nearly eliminating himself, but more importantly costing them a chance at eliminating Mr. Perfect. Neidhart atomic drops Tito Santana (#9) and Marty Jannetty helps him over the top rope.

Randy Savage (#16) enters the rumble and quickly attacks nearly everyone before the Barbarian dishes out punishment and gains control of Randy Savage. This allows Big John Stud to gain the upper hand and eliminate The Warlord (#10). Big John Stud helps Randy Savage and take over the momentum on the Barbarian working him over hard. Akeem (#17) enters the rumble and targets Randy Savage blindsiding him with a double ax handle while he almost had the Barbarian eliminated. Randy Savage and Akeem exchange blows and Mr. Perfect was able to hold onto the ropes and Marty Jannetty (#11) went right over the top being eliminated. Arn Anderson (#18) enters the rumble. Big John Stud finally finishes off The Barbarian (#12) just as Arn Anderson rushes over to try a quick throw over, but Big John Stud is just too big a man for even Arn Anderson. Savage and Neidhart team up to work on the big man Akeem while Mr. Perfect sits in the corner catching his breath.

Andre the Giant (#19) enters the rumble and quickly locks horns with Big John Stud for the double team with Arn Anderson. They exchange rights with a flurry poor Arn Anderson can't even get in a shot without taking an errant elbow or closed fist. Mr. Perfect continues to scout out the competition as Randy Savage and Jim Neidhart nearly have Akeem over the rope when Mr. Perfect attacked Jim Neidhart from behind saving Akeem. Shawn Michaels (#20) enters the rumble and goes on the offensive against Mr. Perfect helping out Jim Neidhart. Neidhart grounds Mr. Perfect with a power slam and Shawn Michaels follows that up with a elbow drop off the top turnbuckle. Jim Neidhart picks Mr. Perfect up and half-assed tosses him over the ropes, but Mr. Perfect hangs on. Shawn Michaels finishes off the elimination of Mr. Perfect (#13) with a baseball slide pushing him off the apron. Shawn Michaels turns around to join in on the attack of Akeem, but Arn Anderson turns him inside-out with a devastating clothesline.

Tully Blanchard (#21) enters the rumble and gives Arn Anderson another set of hands nearly eliminating Shawn Michaels before Jim Neidhart attacks Tully Blanchard with a double ax-handle. The Brain Busters double team Jim Neidhart nearly have him over the ropes when a fairly rested Randy Savage runs over and lifts both members of the Brain Busters over the top rope eliminating Arn Anderson (#14), Tully Blanchard (#15) and Jim Neidhart (#16) all at once! Randy Savage joins Big John Stud trying the double team on Andre the Giant, but remains a stale mate. Jake Roberts (#22) enters the rumble with Damien, but the Brain Busters stop Jake Roberts from entering ringside with Damien. Jake Roberts drops the bag and slides into the ring, then Jim Neidhart resumes the brawl with the Brain Busters as they leave ringside. Akeem resumes his attack on Randy Savage and nearly has him eliminated Shawn Michaels makes the save. Jake Roberts is all over Andre the Giant even going with a low blow to try and gain any type of advantage.

Bad-News Brown (#23) enters the rumble and quickly attacks Shawn Michaels leaving Randy Savage and Akeem to go toe to toe once again. Big John Stud and Jake Roberts have been very effective as a clothesline by Big John Stud has Andre the Giant down on the mat. Shawn Michaels ducks a ghetto blaster attempt and atomic drops Bad-News Brown right over the top rope eliminating Bad-News Brown (#17). Randy Savage body slams Akeem and goes to the top rope! Uncontested Randy Savage comes down with a thunderous elbow landing squarely on Akeem's chest! Jacques Rougeau (#24) enters the rumble and singles out Shawn Michaels. The team of Jake Roberts and Big John Stud still have complete control of Andre the Giant as Big John Stud just dishes out a body slam rocking the ring! Randy Savage tries to eliminate Akeem again, but just don't have enough alone to get the big man over the ropes. Jacques Rougeau distracts Big John Stud allowing Andre the Giant to get back to his feet and quickly gains the upper hand over Jake Roberts.

Hulk Hogan (#25) enters the rumble and poses in the ring before turning around and sees Andre the Giant staring him down! They simultaneously unleash a barrage of rights going toe to toe when Jake Roberts stops the action with a forearm to the back of Andre the Giant. Andre the Giant turns his attention to Jake Roberts as Hulk Hogan seeks out Randy Savage. Savage has Akeem grounded with a side head lock in the corner of the ring. Hulk Hogan runs over to help. Big Bossman (#26) enters the rumble just as long as it takes for the big man to slide into the ring it's the Twin Towers versus the Mega Powers! Big Bossman turns Hulk Hogan around and starts pounding away when Akeem gains the upper hand over Randy Savage and the Mega Powers are staggering! On the other side of the ring Andre the Giant eliminates Jake Roberts (#18) with a body slam over the top rope. Andre the Giant moves on to Shawn Michaels and Big John Stud locked up with Jacques Rougeau putting Shawn Michaels to the mat with a head butt.

Rick Martel (#27) enters the rumble. Andre the Giant picks up Shawn Michaels and irish whips him off the ropes into a back elbow sending Michaels back to the mat. Rick Martel goes over to help out the Mega Powers, but don't seem to be welcomed with those four men going toe to toe. Andre the Giant picks Shawn Michaels (#19) up and throws him over the top rope getting eliminated. Andre the Giant goes back to work on Big John Stud. Hulk Hogan turns and faces Rick Martel which was just getting in the way punching and kicking anything that moved. Rick Martel starts to send closed fists at Hogan, but gets blocked and Hulk Hogan throws Rick Martel (#20) out of the ring.

Bret Hart (#28) enters the rumble and quickly attacks Jacques Rougeau. The Mega Powers have the upper hand knocking out the Big Bossman with a leg drop from Hulk Hogan, then Randy Savage has Akeem reeling after a drop kick Hulk Hogan rushes off the ropes and clotheslines Akeem (#21) over the top rope. Hulk Hogan nearly went over with his momentum and the Big Bossman which was gingerly getting back to his feet takes advantage of Hulk Hogan's predicament and picks Hulk Hogan (#22) up and over the top rope. Randy Savage watching all this go down waited for the Big Bossman to turn around and catches him in a reverse atomic drop and then drop kicks the Big Bossman (#23) out of the ring. Hulk Hogan looks at Randy Savage and then gives him some encouragement before the Twin Towers attack Hulk Hogan and the three men battle out of ringside.

Jim Duggan (#29) enters the rumble and it now becomes a two on one against Andre the Giant as the big man Jim Duggan turns the tides in favor of Big John Stud. Randy Savage and Bret Hart team up and double drop kick Jacques Rougeau (#24) out of the Royal Rumble. Randy Savage and Bret Hart go toe to toe exchanging blows before Randy Savage gains the upper hand and gets Bret Hart into the turnbuckle and grounds Hart with submission moves. Big John Stud & Jim Duggan is able to get Andre the Giant caught up in the ropes and both men continue to pound away at Andre the Giant. Randy Savage irish Whips Bret Hart towards the ropes that Andre the Giant is caught up in, but runs into Big John Stud. Big John Stud turns around and tosses Bret Hart back at Randy Savage which back body drops Bret Hart (#25) right out of the ring. Jim Duggan is not happy that just happened and starts punching away at Big John Stud and Randy Savage runs over to help.

Ted DiBiase (#30) slowly makes his way down the ramp with Virgil in tow. Jim Duggan staggers Big John Stud long enough to get Randy Savage nearly over the rope and Big John Stud sees the opportunity to eliminate the WWF Heavyweight Champion and soon Randy Savage (#26) gets eliminated by both Big John Stud and Jim Duggan. Ted DiBiase slides into the ring and motions to Jim Duggan and Big John Stud to continue on the helpless Andre the Giant getting rid of the biggest threat, but Jim Duggan and Big John Stud rush DiBiase instead, then just as both big men reach DiBiase he drops down grabbing the top rope and both Jim Duggan (#27) and Big John Stud (#28) get eliminated. Referee's around ringside help Andre the Giant break free of the ropes while Virgil tries desperately to keep him tied up, but Andre the Giant gets free and stands up staring at Ted DiBiase. Ted DiBiase drops to his knees and begs to not get hurt, but Andre the Giant picks Ted DiBiase up receiving shots to the midsection that have no effect from Ted DiBiase. Andre the Giant picks Ted DiBiase (#29) up and throws him over the top rope and is the winner of the Royal Rumble in 1989! Ted DiBiase and Virgil try to attack Andre the Giant after the match, but Andre the Giant swats them away with little effort.

Andre the Giant is the winner of the Royal Rumble.

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund, Elizabeth & "Macho Man" Randy Savage

Gene Okerlund: You almost made it all the way to the end of the Royal Rumble Randy. What a great showing by our Heavyweight Champion! You have anything you would like to say to the fans?

Randy Savage: Yeah I do! The Macho Man is back on top and there is no one that will get in my way.. Dig it!

Gene Okerlund: Whats the word with Hulk Hogan! Is there still problems between you and him? It looked as though he sacrificed himself to allow you to continue.

Randy Savage: We have not talked since last night and I don't know where he is now. Hulk Hogan did a good thing by allowing me to eliminate the Twin Towers and I thank him for that, but the bottom line is deep down inside Hulk Hogan he did it so the wrestling world would talk about him and not the WWF Champion.

Gene Okerlund: I have known Hulk Hogan for a long time and I just don't think thats what his intentions were...

Randy Savage: Look Mean Gene!... What ever Hulk Hogan's intentions were the fact remains that Andre the Giant won the Royal Rumble and the Macho Man did not! Andre the Giant is not the WWF Heavyweight Champion and I am! Ohhh Yeahhh... the Macho Man is ready to defend his belt anytime anywhere. Even if it's against Hulk Hogan which in my mind is what he is truly after!

Gene Okerlund: Elizabeth. Do you know where Hulk Hogan is right now?

Elizabeth: No I don't Mean Gene and I wish I did! I have to...

Randy Savage: You don't have to do anything Elizabeth my dear. All you have to do is stick by me and everything will fall into place.

*Randy Savage and Elizabeth walk out of camera view as "Mean" Gene Okerlund looks puzzled by what is taking place with the Mega Powers.*

"Prime Time Wrestling"

January 16th, 1989

Hosts: Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

Recap of the Royal Rumble 1989

*The show starts with a Picture re-cap of last night's Royal Rumble Pay Per-View.*

*Sean Mooney begins to speak as the clips continue.*

Sean Mooney: Last night, at the Royal Rumble, the World Wrestling Federation waged a full scale war!... Against themselves! Every brave superstar joined the battle, but only one man survived!... It's no wonder why this man is the 8th wonder of the world! That man is... Andre.. the.. Giant!!!

*The re-cap fades and Sean Mooney is standing in the WWF news studio.

Sean Mooney: Last night we seen history in the making as the World Wrestling Federation launched it's first Royal Rumble Pay Per-View. One man walked away from the Royal Rumble with huge wave of momentum... No it's not the man that won the Royal Rumble match Andre the Giant. No, your close though. That man i'm talking about is Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Why The Weasel you ask? No man had more of an impact on the night than this man. His men went into battle with only one goal in mind, victory!

*Clips of the Brooklyn Brawler, King Haku, Rick Rude and finally Andre the Giant standing tall in the middle of the ring were shown.*

Sean Mooney: As you can see all of those men have two things in common, one is that they all were victorious in what they set out to accomplish, two is that they are all managed by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. What does that mean for the rest of the World Wrestling Federation? Well, We will just have to wait and find out.

*A picture of Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake holding up a hand full of hair is shown.*

Sean Mooney: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was not the only one to proclaim victory at the Royal Rumble. Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake was able to apply the sleeper hold and "Outlaw" Ron Bass woke up a changed man. I'll tell you when I seen him in the hallway this morning I didn't even know who he was. That's all the time that I have here in the World Wrestling Federation news room. Enjoy tonight's show!

Gorilla Monsoon: Hello Everyone and welcome to Prime Time Wrestling! I'm you're host Gorilla Monsoon and sitting to my right, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan!

Bobby Heenan: That was a nice segment showing just how important I really am in the WWF.

Gorilla Monsoon: They did show an awful lot of you I'll give you that, but was any of it good? I don't know if I can answer that question Brain!

Bobby Heenan: You're just jealous Gorilla! Thats why you're holding me back on this show!

Gorilla Monsoon: Holding you back? What are you talking about Brain?

Bobby Heenan: Every week you tell me that I can host the show and every week we go into the show and you're the guy! You're the almighty T.V. dude. I never get any time on this show and it's going to change!

Gorilla Monsoon: You need to get a hold of yourself before you have a heart attack Brain. I am not doing any of those things. You have as much to do with this show as I do. Who cares if I'm the one introducing the segments!

Bobby Heenan: Blah, blah, blah! If we must get on with the show.

Gorilla Monsoon: Do you need to take a break Brain? Maybe some water before we start?

*Bobby Heenan turns and just stares at Gorilla Monsoon.*

Gorilla Monsoon: Alright. Let's get on with the show then. The first match this evening is a tag team match between former WWF Tag Team Champions, The Hart Foundation taking on the Russian Lumberjacks, The Bolshevicks.

*Bobby Heenan picks up a little Russian flag and waves it around.*

Bobby Heenan: How does the Russian National Anthem go Gorilla?

Gorilla Monsoon: How on earth would I know that Brain?

Bobby Heenan: I don't know! Don't have some relatives living up in the wastelands over there?

Gorilla Monsoon: You're very funny Brain, you know that?

Bobby Heenan: Why thank you!

Gorilla Monsoon: Let's go down to ringside where the match is nearing it's conclusion!

Hart Foundation Vs. Bolshevicks

*Up to this point the Hart Foundation has had the advantage with great teamwork and stunning accuracy!*

Bret Hart and Boris Zukoff lock up in the middle of the ring and Zukoff gains the advantage with a knee to the midsection. Zukoff lunges at Hart, but the attempt at a clothesline was reversed into a russian leg sweep. Hart climbs to the second turnbuckle and comes crashing down with a elbow drop. Hart tags in Jim Neidhart and they double team Zukoff connecting on a double suplex. The Hart Foundation both send Nikolai Volkoff crashing to the concrete, then Neidhart picks Zukoff up as Bret Hart comes flying off the ropes with a clothesline and Jim Neidhart helps to slam Zukoff to the mat. Boris Zukoff's shoulders are on the mat 1..2..3! The Hart Foundation pick up the victory!

Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart (Hart Foundation) is the winner by pin fall.

Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome back in the studio. Sitting next to me as always, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. There has been some recent tension between the Hart Foundation and some of the members of you're family Brain?

Bobby Heenan: They didn't like the fact that Andre the Giant was clearly the only man that stood a chance at winning the Royal Rumble. We made that message loud and clear to Jim Duggan and they felt the need to look like a bunch of fools! Now who is laughing Hart Foundation!

Gorilla Monsoon: I don't think it has anything to do with jealousy over who won the Royal Rumble. I think it's about how you and your mob did it Brain!

Bobby Heenan: We didn't do anything wrong! What would you have done differ...

*Gorilla Monsoon is handed a piece of paper from a man off stage.*

Bobby Heenan: Wha... Whats that?

Gorilla Monsoon: It's a note saying that I need to leave and get over to this address where there is something of major significance is taking place. I.. I don't know what to make of it Brain.

Bobby Heenan: If it says that it's that important you should do what it says! Maybe someone is in trouble!

Gorilla Monsoon: Should I? Ok... well, I guess i'll find out what this is all about.

*Gorilla Monsoon gets out of his chair and walks off stage as the camera fades to commercial.*

Commercial break:

Angle involving Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and the Brooklyn Brawler

*Bobby Heenan is alone sitting Gorilla Monsoon's chair.*

Bobby Heenan: Welcome back to Prime Time Wrestling. Now that Monsoon is gone We can get on with the show. And since it's just me in the studio I would like to take this time to talk about recent events within my Family.

*Bobby Heenan has to shift to face the different camera thats now on.*

Bobby Heenan: Alright... The Red Rooster proved last night why he is no longer part of the family. The Brooklyn Brawler fits into the family much better than that.. that.. I don't even know if the Red Rooster knows what he is trying to be! My point is this... you may not understand why I would add a man like the Brooklyn Brawler to my family. All you humanoids out there say the same thing. Hey! THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER SUCKS! The man can't fight his way out of a paper bag! They huddle in their masses looking like the last day they went to school was when overalls with little trucks, or trains, or what ever their parents could muster on a garbage man's salary was!

*Bobby Heenan looks down at the desk and turns to the right where there is some WWF merchandise is, then lifts a mug with "Macho Man" Randy Savage painted on it.*

Bobby Heenan: Those people probably spent their last five dollars on something like this!

*Bobby Heenan looks at the mug for a moment, then tosses it over his shoulder.*

Bobby Heenan: I am more intelligent than all of you! Face it, yeah, I know it's hard to for you to understand, but I know a whole lot more than all you pea brains watching this show combined!

*Bobby Heenan stalls then looks away for a moment before having to find which camera is on.*

Bobby Heenan: There are some people in the WWF here that want a piece of the success... My Success! As my family gets stronger, the more people try to get in on the goods. The Brooklyn Brawler has a pivotal role in the family. Think of the Brooklyn Brawler as a personal body guard. It all falls into my plan. The rest of the family have their own strengths that I will use to my advantage as well. One man's weakness is another man's strength!

*Bobby Heenan shuffles some papers in front of him muttering;*

Bobby Heenan: How can that monkey understand this mess?

*The screen opens up on the set behind Bobby Heenan.

Bobby Heenan: It's now time to set up the next match, but I can't find where it says who the idiots are that are wrestling! Since we don't have that much time I will show the match I want to see. The match is between the current King of the World Wrestling Federation and a member of my family, King Haku and that slob, Fat John Stud! Let's go down to ringside!

Overall: 92

*The camera cut's away from the studio, but it shows Gorilla Monsoon driving in his car.*

Gorilla Monsoon: I hope the Brain don't totally mess up the show.. umm.. I wonder what could be so important.

*The camera cuts to ringside now while the match is taking place.*

Big John Stud Vs. King Haku (w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan)

*The match has been taking place well past fifteen minutes when we join in on the action.*

Bobby Heenan distracts the referee Dick Kroll just as King Haku connects on a belly to belly suplex! Haku goes for the cover, but Dick Kroll didn't see it! Kroll turns around and gets one hand down, but Big John Stud gets a shoulder up!

*Haku gets up along with bobby Heenan and assults referee Dick Kroll for not doing his job allowing the twenty minute time limit to expire!*

*King Haku and Bobby Heenan try to double team Big John Stud, but Stud took care of Bobby Heenan, then roughed up King Haku a little before retreating back stage.*

Big John Stud and King Haku end in a "Time Limit Draw".

*Prime Time Wrestling resumes with Gorilla Monsoon getting out of his car and walking towards the front door of a small building.*

Gorilla Monsoon: I hope this is the right place.

*The sound of him getting winded passes over the microphone.*

Gorilla Monsoon: Man this is not a very clean place. Well...

*Gorilla Monsoon knocks on the door and no one answers.*

Gorilla Monsoon: Hello!... HELLO!... Anybody there!?...

*Gorilla Monsoon knocks on the door again and still no one answers.*

Gorilla Monsoon: No one seems to be here...

*Gorilla Monsoon knocks on the door for the third time real hard and the door slides open. Gorilla Monsoon looks inside and sees a table in the middle of the room with some papers on it.*

Gorilla Monsoon: Hello?... Anybody here?... I guess not... Whats this stuff?

*Gorilla Monsoon picks up the top piece of paper and it says, "We are sorry that we missed you, but there was something important that we had to attend. We should be back after the show if you would like to wait for us..."*

Gorilla Monsoon: I'm not going to wait for this. I'm going back to the studio. What a big waste of time!

*The camera cuts to the studio where Bobby Heenan looks to be sleeping in the chair.*

Bobby Heenan: We're back already? ...ahem... The referee in that match had no idea how to do his job. He should be fired after allowing Big John Stud to manhandle Haku like that. Big John Stud will not get away with what he did!

*Bobby Heenan slams his hand down on the desk spilling what was in the glass next to him.*

Bobby Heenan: Look at that... Someone get me a towel!... Lets look at some footage that was taken after the Royal Rumble last night while I get this mess cleaned up.

Angle involving Bobby "The Brain" Heenan & Andre the Giant

*The camera cuts to the normal interview set, but instead of "Mean" Gene Okerlund it's Bobby Heenan dressed up as him.*

Tiny Tim: Good morning everyone I'm Tiny Tim. With me tonight is a man that not only electrifies your pace makers, but single handedly changed the way Americans think about the way of life. You can work your fingers to the bone an get an honest pay or you can be like the man I'm about to introduce and ride on another man's success. Please welcome... The Soucho Man!

*Andre the Giant dressed in a bright Hawaiian shirt and tan pants with a big pair of banana glasses not much bigger than this man's head.*

Tiny Tim: Thanks for being on the show Sloucho man.

The Sloucho Man: ...

*Bobby Heenan holds out the microphone, but when Andre went to speak Heenan pulled it back.*

Tiny Tim: Alright, The world is dying to know all about you and I'm the man that's going to ask the questions. You understand that Sloucho man?

The Sloucho Man: ...

*Bobby Heenan holds out the microphone a second time doing the same thing again.*

Tiny Tim: I thought so... You have been the champion for quite some time now. Hulk Hogan has beat down every man that stood to take that belt from you. Yet, you are attacking the very man that has kept that belt around you're waist. Why are you such a lazy bum?

The Sloucho Man: Listen here... Oooo,,, Yaaaa! My name is The Soucho Man and I'm here to tell u that Hogan is my brother, brother!

Tiny Tim: Interesting... Tell me then, whats you're plans for the future?

The Sloucho Man: The Soucho Man hath no plan.

Tiny Tim: Have you thought abou...

Overall: 89

*The camera unexpectedly cuts back to the studio as Gorilla Monsoon returns from his trip.*

Gorilla Monsoon: Whats going on here Brain?

Bobby Heenan: What do you mean? I have been here working! What were you doing all this time?

Gorilla Monsoon: I was sent on a wild goose chase! I'm starting to think you set me up so you could run the show!

Bobby Heenan: Thats not true at all! Lets cut to a commercial and get this settled.

Commercial break:

Gorilla Monsoon: We are back on Prime Time Wrestling. I don't know what went on while I was gone, but we must move on. We are going to head down to ringside to show you a match up between Hillbilly Jim and "The African Dream" Akeem. Enjoy!

Hillbilly Jim Vs. "The African Dream" Akeem (w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick)

*The match was fast paced for two big men neither gaining the clear cut advantage.*

Akeem is the man on offense connecting on a elbow to the top of the head, then Akeem chops Hillbilly Jim, but they have no effect. Akeem chops him again, but again they have no effect on Hillbilly Jim. Akeem irish whips Hillbilly Jim, but no... it's reversed and Akeem gets sent to the turnbuckle. Hillbilly Jim rushes the corner, but Akeem gets out of the way in time. Hillbilly Jim turns around and Akeem picks him up into a body slam. Akeem bounces off the ropes into a splash, but Hillbilly Jim is able to roll out of the way in time.

*Sick has jumped up on the ring apron distracting the referee Joey Marella as the Big Bossman heads down to ringside.*

Hillbilly Jim is to his feet first and tries t punch away at Akeem, but Akeem is able to push Hillbilly Jim away right into Joey Marella! Akeem tosses Hillbilly Jim out of the ring and the Big Bossman, Akeem and Slick all stomp away on Hillbilly Jim! Akeem slides back into the ring as Joey Marella begins the 10 count and the match is over!

Akeem is the winner of the match by count out.

"News, Rumors & Gossip"

More tension between the Mega Powers?
Current World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage has been openly critisizing his Mega Powers partner Hulk Hogan. Recent remarks the past week have many wondering how much longer Miss Elizabeth can hold these two egos together. Most agree that Hulk Hogan has been the model partner, but at times going to far looks to be the reason for these recent outbursts.

Continuing coverage of the roster moves from WWF President Jack Tunney?
The one move the WWF made this week was the signing of Percy Pringle III. No word on what his job will be at this time.

More rumors have surfaced. The word at the water cooler is that the World Wrestling Federation is looking for it's next step towards North American dominance. The World Wrestling Federation is attempting to acquire Calgary Stampede Wrestling (CSW) for the second time which is currently the 8th wrestling promotion tracked by The Wrestling Magazine.

CSW has been able to build up it's roster in the past four years with wrestlers such as; Davey Boy Smith, Dynamite Kid and Don Muraco with WWF experience already, but youngsters like; Brian Pillman, Johnny Smith, Chris Benoit and others are what may be part of the future for the WWF.

The World Wrestling Federation in 1984 bought the promotion and quickly signed up most of it's talent including; Bret "Hitman" Hart, Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, The Dynamite Kid, Bad-News Brown and many others, then selling it back to the Hart Family after making future stars of nearly all of it's talent in 1985.

There is no official word from either parties involved, but will be tracked closely and report any movement from either side of the story.

Pay Per-View's for 1989 announced!
One night after the debut of the Royal Rumble on Pay Per-View the WWF has announced the remaining Pay Per-View's for 1989. As always Wrestlemania is on the list as Wrestlemania V will be live Sunday night April 2nd. SummerSlam is back in August as is the Survivor Series in November. There will also be a fifth Pay Per-View event in December, but what the title of that Pay Per-View is yet to be announced.

Comments from Red Rooster about the recent events. His side of the story!
Terry Taylor (Red Rooster) released his side of the story regarding the past two weeks. Here is most of what he said.

Rumors that I was upset about the program with Steve Lombardi were true. After a few conversations between myself and different members of the WWF I decided to finish the program similar to the way it was supposed to, but I was still able to not allow myself to be humiliated. The future looks good for me and I will continue to give 110% when I step in front of a WWF crowd!

Thank you.

Tonight, Strike Force, You are nothing more than a appetizer before we hunt down the main course!

The Ultimate Warrior: Last Sunday night the Ultimate Warrior stepped right into Rick Rude's attack. The Ultimate Warrior will not make the same mistake twice! I am going to find you Rick Rude. You want to take the Ultimate Warrior on? Here I am! You will feel the same pain as I did last Sunday night Rick Rude. You have awakened the power Rick Rude! Can you stand up to the challenge!?

Hulk Hogan: Last Sunday night I did what all the Hulkamaniacs told me to do and thats do what ever it took to see the Mega Powers stand victorious after the Royal Rumble match. That didn't happen and it didn't happen without giving it everything I had brother! You see the Macho Man may be upset at Hulk Hogan, but he don't have any one to blame, but himself! You see after the Hulkster did what he had to do brother, it was up to the Macho Man to take care of business! All the Hulkamaniacs out there will stand behind the Macho Man. The Hulkster will do whatever it takes to get the job done! What cha gonna do when Hulkamania and The Mega Powers run wild on youuu!!!

"Macho Man" Randy Savage (w/Elizabeth): Hulk Hogan is the reason I went as far as I did in the Royal Rumble match they say?... Well let me tell you something Hulk Hogan! Vince McMahon: Welcome to Superstars of Wrestling! Glad you could join us on this fine Saturday night here in Chicago, Illinois! The man standing next to me is Jesse "The Body" Ventura. Jesse, What is you're opinion about the Royal Rumble last Sunday night?

Jesse Ventura: I already knew what was going to happen so the Royal Rumble came as no surprise McMahon. Andre the Giant is still at the top of his game and should be the next World Wrestling Federation Champion!

Vince McMahon: Well, we are wasting no time tonight as the music starts and here is the Intercontinental Champion.. The Ultimate Warrior!

*The Ultimate Warrior runs down and slides into the ring, then goes from one side of the ring to another and shakes the top rope vigorously!*

Ultimate Warrior Vs. Brooklyn Brawler

*The Ultimate Warrior awaits his opponent and soon the Brooklyn Brawler comes out alone and walks down to ringside.*

As soon as the Brooklyn Brawler slides into the ring the Ultimate Warrior starts stomping away on the Brooklyn Brawler. The Ultimate Warrior lets the Brooklyn Brawler get onto his feet, then the Ultimate Warrior knife edge chops the Brooklyn Brawler back into the turnbuckle. The Ultimate Warrior is chopping and stomping with a furry to the Brooklyn Brawler in the turnbuckle before referee Joey Marella is able to break the Ultimate Warrior away from the attack. The Brooklyn Brawler staggers out of the corner and the Ultimate Warrior picks him up and connects on a back breaker, then the Ultimate Warrior comes off the ropes and drives a knee into the sternum of the Brooklyn Brawler. The Ultimate Warrior picks up the Brooklyn Brawler and body slams him in the middle of the ring, then runs off the ropes a couple times gearing up for a big splash, but the Ultimate Warrior took to long and the Brooklyn Brawler is able to roll out of the way.

The Brooklyn Brawler gets up and irish whips, no the Ultimate Warrior reverses it and the Brooklyn Brawler comes off the ropes and the Ultimate Warrior drops him with a clothesline. Vince McMahon: I guess Rick Rude or Bobby "The Brain" Heenan didn't want to face the Ultimate Warrior!

Jesse Ventura: They hold the all the cards right now McMahon. Why let the Ultimate Warrior dictate when they meet face to face?

Vince McMahon: So they send out the Brooklyn Brawler whom we just heard on Monday that he would be nothing more than a personal bodyguard.

Jesse Ventura: Thats what he was doing McMahon! You didn't see the Ultimate Maniac get his hands on either of the two men did you?

Vince McMahon: Well, no...

Jesse Ventura: I can see exactly what they are planning to do! Great minds think alike McMahon!

Vince McMahon: If you're referring to Bobby Heenan, I would hardly classify him as being as dumb as you are...

Jesse Ventura: I know everything McMahon! I knew Andre was going to win the Royal Rumble and I know Rick Rude and Bobby Heenan is going to make the next move!

Vince McMahon: I guess we will have just wait and find out then won't we? Moving right along Tony Schaivone is standing by with Jim Powers and Paul Roma of the Young Stallions. Tony...

Interview w/Tony Schaivone & the Young Stallions

*The Camera cuts backstage where Tony Schaivone is standing with the two youngsters.*

Tony Schaivone: Thank you Vince. I have standing next to me Paul Roma and Jim Powers of the Young Stallions. So far your careers have not been very easy here in the World Wrestling Federation. People have noticed that it seems to be taking it's toll on you two. Tell me what have you two done to try and stop this string of bad luck?

Paul Roma: I'll tell you this Tony, things sure have not gone the way we had hoped they would lately! I expected to at least have a tag team partner that could actually do something besides losing wrestling matches!

Jim Powers: What are you talking about Paul? I have given every thing I have to this team! If it's anyone that don't give a crap about winning or losing it's you!

Paul Roma: What are you talking about? You would know how much I have done if you weren't always knocked out on you're back!

Tony Schaivone: Ok, thats enough guys! You two need to get on the same page if you expect to get anywhere again in the World Wrestling Federation. The competition is just too good today. A couple years ago you two were almost Tag Team Champions, but now look at you two! Fighting over what?

Paul Roma: Thats what I'm trying to say and obviously you Jim are not the guy! To be honest you suck! You don't know the first thing about being a team!

Jim Powers: Thats it man! I have had it with you're lack of common sense! You are dumber than a box of rocks. I am no longer a part of The Young Stallions!

*Paul Roma attacks Jim Powers after hearing that Jim was quitting! Both men go back and forth exchanging rights until an army of referees and road agents come out to break up the fight.

Vince McMahon: I guess that marks the end of The Young Stallions as we know it Jesse!

Jesse Ventura: Good riddance to those two punks!

Vince McMahon: Maybe they will be better off apart because they didn't win very much when they were together.

Jesse Ventura: I love it when two nobodies act like they know everything McMahon!

Vince McMahon: Why is that?

Jesse Ventura: Because if you don't pay attention, then you might miss their fifteen minutes of fame that always makes for a good laugh McMahon.

Vince McMahon: It sure seems like they have been around for longer than fifteen minutes, but I could be mistaken! These two men are not going anywhere Jesse. They just don't like each other! I'm sure we will be seeing more of Paul Roma and Jim Powers in 1989.

Jesse Ventura: Here is the music for the Powers of Pain! Let's go to Howard Finkel standing in the middle of the ring!

Howard Finkel: In the ring to my left at a total combined weight of 450 pounds... Sam Houston.. and.. Scott Casey. Making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 618 pounds... The Warlord.. and.. The Barbarian... the Powers of Pain!!!

Casey bounces off the ropes again attempting another shoulder block and again The Barbarian didn't budge. The Barbarian grabs Casey's arm and irish whips him off the ropes into a huge power slam! The Barbarian picks up Scott Casey and tosses him into the turnbuckle, then drives a few shoulders into the midsection of Casey. The Barbarian runs over and tags in The Warlord, then rushes Casey with a splash and irish whips him out of the turnbuckle into a huge clothesline by The Warlord!

The Warlord picks Casey up and rears back and connect on a thunderous knife edge dropping Casey back down to the mat. The Warlord drops down an elbow to the chest of Scott Casey, then picking him up and connecting on a nice side slam. The Warlord drives a couple more elbows into the sternum of Casey, then drives his knee into the esophagus of Casey forcing the referee Tim White to push The Warlord off of Scott Casey! The Warlord picks up Casey and tosses him over to his corner where Sam Houston tags himself in and eagerly rushes The Warlord. The Warlord attempts a clothesline, but Huston ducks under it and as The Warlord turns around he kicks him in the midsection, but it has no effect on The Warlord. The Warlord connects on a couple closed rights to Sam Houston, then tags in The Barbarian.

*The Barbarian climbs to the top of the turnbuckle posing to the crowd.*

Mr. Fugi: Demolition, listen real good because I'm only going to say this once! The Powers of Pain here are ready to take you're World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Titles! I cut you lose because you're not good enough to be WWF Tag Team Champions! I want to prove that to the whole world that you two are nothing without me! We demand a challenge between The Powers of Pain and Demolition for the WWF Tag Team Championships! Demolition come out here and accept you're fate!

*Mr. Fugi and The Powers of Pain stand there as the crowd boo's real loud, but Demolition never come out to ringside!*

Mr. Fugi: We will get an answer from you Demolition! If we have to go to the top of the WWF to get this match it's going to happen!

*Mr. Fugi tosses the microphone down and The Warlord and The Barbarian exit ringside!*

Vince McMahon: Looks like Demolition might be feeling some pressure now that The Powers of Pain made the challenge for the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships!

Jesse Ventura: Did you see just how dominating they were in that match McMahon! I really believe that The Powers of Pain are ready to take it to the next level!

Vince McMahon: The Powers of Pain have not been the WWF very long themselves Jesse. What makes them so much better than the rest of these young guys that are struggling so far in their careers?

Jesse Ventura: The Warlord and the Barbarian is two of the biggest men in the WWF. They also have been a team for a lot longer than they have been in the WWF McMahon! These other guys come in here with big heads and every one of them fall flat on their face!

Vince McMahon: A Lot of these teams that we see now have been together for quite some time Jesse. Thats no secret, but other young teams like the Rockers and The Powers of Pain are enjoying some success here in the World Wrestling Federation. The amount of quality tag teams right now is probably the best it's ever been. I hope these new up and coming teams will be able to add something to the mix.

Jesse Ventura: I'll reserve judgment until that happens McMahon! Sean Mooney is backstage with "Outlaw" Ron Bass. I have to hear what this man has to say so shut up McMahon and let's go to Sean Mooney!

Vince McMahon: What a match up thats going to be next week Jesse!

Jesse Ventura: Ron Bass will show everyone that Sunday night was not his best night and make short work of Ronnie Garvin! Was he in the Royal Rumble McMahon?

Vince McMahon: Yes he was Jesse. Ronnie Garvin was the first elimination by Demolition Ax and Smash.

Jesse Ventura: Thats right, I remember now. There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Bass will be victorious.

Vince McMahon: What about the match coming up next between the Bushwackers and the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers?

Jesse Ventura: I don't think it can be said any better than what Jimmy Hart said earlier. Really, how can you take the Bushwackers seriously McMahon?

Vince McMahon: I don't understand what thats all about Jesse! The Bushwackers is one of the most experienced tag teams in the WWF. I also think you forgot that the Bushwackers were victorious against the Rougeau Brothers in their debut match a couple weeks ago.

Jesse Ventura: The Bushwackers didn't pin either Raymond or Jacques Rougeau last time. Thats not a victory in my eyes McMahon.

Vince McMahon: The Rougeau Brothers didn't win either so that throws out you're whole argument. Let's go to Howard Finkel in the ring to announce the competitors.

Howard Finkel: In the ring to my left at a total combined weight of 498 pounds... Cousin Luke.. and.. Cousin Butch... The Bushwackers!!! Making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 464 pounds... Jacques and Raymond Rougeau... The Fabuolus Rougeau Brothers!!!

Bushwackers Vs. Fabulous Rougeau Brothers (w/"Colonel" Jimmy Hart)

Cousin Luke and Jacques Rougeau start out locking horns in the middle of the ring. Jacques gains the advantage with a knee to the midsection. Jacques grabs Luke and places him into a side head lock, then drags him over to The Rougeau's corner and tags in his brother Raymond. The Rougeaus double team Luke with an abdominal stretch followed by a stiff boot to the midsection by Raymond. Raymond executes a suplex, then picks Luke up and irish whips him hard into the turnbuckle occupied by Jacques Rougeau. Raymond walks over by Cousin Butch distracting Referee Dave Hebner giving Jacques time to choke Luke with the corner strap. Raymond comes over to his corner and tags in Jacques and they both irish whip Luke off the ropes into a double elbow.

*The Rougeau Brothers celebrate which allows Luke to dive over and make the tag to Butch.*

Cousin Butch jumps in the ring and starts connecting closed right fists to both of the Rougeau Brothers before finally knocking Raymond out of the ring! Butch turns his attention back to Jacques, but was met by a standing drop kick! Both man get right back to their feet and Butch goes after Jacques, but Jacques hip tosses Butch and locks him into an armbar. Jacques turns the sitting armbar into a head scissors. Luke tries to enter the ring, but Dave Hebner stops him allowing Jimmy Hart to pull Jacques arm for leverage. Dave Hebner turns around and sees Jimmy Hart and issues a warning to him for interfering. Jacques lets go of the head scissors and picks up Butch and takes his arm and spins it to force Butch to flip over landing on his back, then Jacques leg drops Butch still holding onto the arm and applying an arm lock.

*Jimmy Hart stands up on the apron and tells the referee Dave Hebner what he thinks about the interference.*

Raymond then grabs Jacques arm for leverage, but releases it before Dave Hebner could see it. Jacques tags in Raymond and they irish whip Butch off the ropes and attempt a double drop kick, Butch hangs on to the ropes and tags in Luke. Cousin Luke stomps Jacques out of the ring, then turns his attention to Raymond. Raymond is to his feet and Luke clotheslines him down to the mat, but Raymond gets right back up, Luke knife edge cops Raymond a couple times before picking him up and body slamming him. Luke runs off the ropes as Raymond gets up and Luke knees Raymond in the midsection Luke keeps Raymond down by a series of double ax-handles, then comes off the ropes and connects on a tall knee drop onto the back of Raymond's head. Luke tags in Cousin Butch and they double irish whip Raymond into the turnbuckle, then Butch irish whips Luke into the turnbuckle connecting on a splash in the corner, then Luke irish whips Raymond back out of the corner and Butch body drops Raymond Rougeau.

*Luke and Butch made a mistake as Raymond landed right in the Rougeau's corner and was able to make the tag to Jacques.*

Luke and Butch rush Jacques and double clotheslines him hard to the mat! The Bushwackers are strutting around the ring, then Luke licks he sweaty head of Butch, tosses Raymond out of the ring and those two men start exchanging closed right hands outside of the ring. Butch Grabs Jacques and irish whips him off the ropes and leans down for another body drop, but Jacques catches it and kicks him right in the shoulder. Jacques tosses Butch out of the ring and soon it's a 3 on 2 attack as the referee Dave Hebner starts the ten count. The Rougeau Brothers gain the advantage and both simultaneously throw the Bushwackers heads off the steel railing. The Rougeau Brothers then again at the same time toss the Bushwackers into the steel turnbuckle post.

*Jimmy Hart distracts referee Dave Hebner breaking the ten count.*

Jacques tosses Butch back into the ring. while Raymond drops a knee onto Luke for good measure. Jacques picks up Butch and connects on a atomic drop. Jacques set up behind Butch as Raymond drop kicks him right into a roll up by Jacques Rougeau 1..2..3!

Howard Finkel: The winners of this bout... Jacques and Raymond Rougeau... The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers!!!

*The Rougeau Brothers try to gang up on the Bushwackers after the match, but Luke and Butch would have nothing of it hip tossing them to the mat and getting away from ring side.*

Jesse Ventura: Now you have to understand one thing McMahon!

Vince McMahon: Whats that Jesse?

Jesse Ventura: Never doubt the Body! I told you the Bushwackers are going to be nothings here in the World Wrestling Federation! The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers beat them down pretty good there McMahon!

Vince McMahon: The Bushwackers proved that they can take a ton of punishment and still they came close to getting the victory tonight. I have no doubt in my mind that they will come back and win their fair share of matches in the near future!

Jesse Ventura: There is potential I'll give you that McMahon, but I don't see that happening here in the WWF. There is no room for a couple of jokesters here!

Vince McMahon: I have word that "Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage standing by with the Mega Powers. What do you have for us Mean Gene?

Interview w/"Mean" Gene Okerlund, Elizabeth & the Mega Powers

*The camera cuts backstage where "Mean" Gene Okerlund is standing by with Elizabeth, Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage.*

Gene Okerlund: Monday night on Prime Time Wrestling Bobby Heenan and Andre the Giant took it upon themselves to mock you Randy Savage and myself. I for one am appalled by what they pulled on Monday! I just gotta know, what does the Mega Powers plan to do about it?

Randy Savage: I'll tell you Mean Gene that the Macho Man don't tolerate people who use others to make them look better than they really are! Yeahhh, Bobby Heenan and Andre the Giant are nothing more than a couple of bums!

Hulk Hogan: This is whats going to happen Mean Gene! I took the liberty of getting President Jack Tunney to book a match between Andre the Giant and myself tonight brother! I have beat down the man before and I will do it again tonight! Macho Man, I have it all under control! I will take care of Andre the Giant tonight brother. After tonight there will be no need to worry about Bobby Heenan and his hence men!

*Randy Savage has a surprised look on his face as he stares at Hulk Hogan.*

Randy Savage: What? Same old thing. You are sticking your nose into my business again. When are you going to take the hint and mind you're own business!

Gene Okerlund: Hold on right there Randy Savage! When are you going to realize that this man is only doing what he can to help you and the Mega Powers out! What other purpose does he have to do these things?

Randy Savage: Hogan, you're motives are not as they seem to be! The Macho Man knows better, Ohhh Yeahhh, I am not as stupid as people think I am!

Elizabeth: Randy, stop over reacting to every thing! Please!

*Randy Savage turns and looks at Elizabeth, then looks back at Hogan. Before he can get any more words out Hulk Hogan cuts him off.*

Hulk Hogan: Look Randy... I am not here to look like the bigger man! I am not going to just sit around and watch everyone in the World Wrestling Federation take their shots at the Heavyweight Champion only to see no one do anything about it brother! I'm you're friend and I thought this is friends do for each other?

Gene Okerlund: Alright thats enough of this! There is too much at stake for you two to fight like this! Earlier we seen the team of Paul Roma and Jim Powers fight each other and split up why go down that road. You two are better than that!

Elizabeth: Maybe some time off would help the situation. Randy why don't we do that?

Randy Savage: I'm the WWF Heavyweight Champion. I can't take time off. Hogan is just going to have to let off or I am not going to be around anymore, simple as that!

Gene Okerlund: None of this solved anything, but thats all the time we have! Back to you Vince and Jesse!

Vince McMahon: I just don't understand why the Macho Man is so paranoid!

Jesse Ventura: He should be thanking Hulk Hogan for all the man has done for him. Without Hulk Hogan McMahon, the Macho Man wouldn't be the World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion!

Vince McMahon: I think the Macho Man can defend himself just fine, but having a man like Hulk Hogan watching his back is something that don't come along every day!

Jesse Ventura: Those two egos are not going to stay together for much longer McMahon! Soon one of them will take too much of the spotlight and the other will snap and the Mega Powers will be no more!

Vince McMahon: I sure hope not! They are an exciting combination and it would not be a happy day in the World Wrestling Federation if these two superstars turn on each other.

Jesse Ventura: The Twin Towers are on their way out to ringside to get in some in ring time to prepare for the final blows that will bust up the Mega Powers!

Howard Finkel: In the ring to my left at a total combined weight of 470 pounds... Rick Martel and Tito Santana... Strike Force!!! Making their way to the ring at a total combined weight of 767 pounds... "The African Dream" Akeem and the Big Bossman... The Twin Towers!!!

Strike Force Vs. Twin Towers (w/"The Doctor of Style" Slick)

Rick Martel and Akeem start out the match and Akeem gains advantage with a thumb to the eye. Akeem starts hammering away at Rick Martel, then makes the tag to the Big Bossman. Akeem holds up the arm of Martel and the Big Bossman kicks Martel in the rib/midsection. The Big Bossman picks up Martel in an atomic drop position, then slams him down on his back. The Big Bossman tags in Akeem and the Twin Towers irish whip Martel off the ropes and into a double ax-handle. Akeem body slams Martel, then does his dance, then connects on an elbow drop. Akeem goes for the cover 1..2.. Tito Santana breaks up the count. The Big Bossman gets in the ring and tosses Tito Santana out of the ring and follows right behind.

*The Big Bossman and Tito Santana exchange blows outside of the ring while referee Tim White tries to break it up.*

This allows Akeem to choke out Rick Martel on the middle rope with help from Slick. Akeem comes off the ropes and lands on Martel leaning on the middle rope. Akeem picks Martel up and irish whips him into the turnbuckle, then tags in the Big Bossman and the Twin Towers both pick up Martel and connect on a double back breaker. Akeem runs over and elbows Tito Santana off the apron. The Big Bossman hooks the leg 1..2.. Rick Martel is able to get a shoulder off the mat. The Big Bossman drives his knee into the sternum of Martel, then picks him up and irish whips him off the ropes. The Big Bossman sets up for a body drop, but Martel kicks him in the shoulder, then dives and tags in Tito Santana.

Tito Santana drop kicks the Big Bossman right out of the ring and Akeem comes charging Tito, but Tito body drops Akeem over the top rope, then celebrates in the ring giving Rick Martel a high five tagging him into the match. Slick tries to talk some strategy as the Big Bossman uses the whole ten count up before getting back into the ring. Rick Martel starts stomping away at the Big Bossman as he rolls under the bottom rope, then Martel starts hammering away with a series of ax-handles. Akeem tries to enter the ring, but referee Tim White stops him and forces him back into his corner allowing Slick to distract Rick Martel giving the Twin Towers the advantage.

The Big Bossman pounds away on Martel, then irish whips him into the turnbuckle. The Big Bossman rushes the corner and connects on a big splash. The Big Bossman irish whips Martel off the ropes, then the Big Bossman attempts a clothesline, but Rick Martel ducks it and makes the tag to Tito Santana. Tito sling shots off the ropes and attempts a shoulder block, but the Big Bossman catches him in a bear hug. Tito breaks away from the hold by slamming his forearms down onto the Big Bossman's shoulders. Tito runs off the ropes again, but Slick grabs his leg breaking his momentum. Tito turns around to give Slick a piece of his mind, but the Big Bossman picks him up and connects on a side suplex. Akeem goes over and takes out Rick Martel as the Big Bossman goes for the cover 1..2..3

Vince McMahon: I'll give credit where credit is due and the Twin Towers, Akeem and the Big Bossman deserve this victory tonight, but everyone knows that Rick Martel is just coming off a neck injury and these two men have not teamed up in almost a year!

Jesse Ventura: Strike Force has no excuse! Rick Martel has been wrestling nearly his whole life. You think he just took off the neck brace and said to himself, "Hmm... today seems like a great day to get back in the ring." No he didn't McMahon!

Vince McMahon: Of course not, but being a year since these two have teamed up with each other going up a against a team that out weighs them by 300 pounds and that have been feuding with the top two men in the WWF, the Mega Powers they probably didn't need to step into the ring to decide the winner of the match.

Jesse Ventura: Thats right McMahon! Any time the Twin Towers step into the ring against anyone here in the World Wrestling Federation it should be considered a easy victory for the Slicksters big men.

Vince McMahon: That might be going a little to far Jesse, but instead of arguing about that let's move on shall we? The Brother Love Show is about to start and his guests are none other than Bobby "The Brain" Heenan and "Ravishing" Rick Rude!

Brother Love: No, no, no! The Ultimate Warrior is not what I was go-ing to ask you about, but rather ask you this ques-tion. Where did you find this fine looking speci-men here?

Bobby Heenan: I don't care where this man has been! I only care about where this man is going!

Rick Rude: I got the looks, I got the brains and I got the strength to conquer the World Wrestling Federation!

Brother Love: So tell me Brother Rick Rude, Why are you attack-ing the Ultimate Warrior?

Rick Rude: You see Brother Love it's very simple so let me spell it out to all of you lovely women out there. The Brain and I don't like how the Ultimate Warrior goes about his business here in the World Wrestling Federation. Why you ask?, well, let me tell you the reason why! He has been the Intercontinental Champion for quite awhile now and who has he defended his belt against?

*Rick Rude pauses, then looks at Bobby Heenan *Shrugs his shoulders* and Brother Love *Lifts his hands up in confusion* for a moment before continuing on.*

Rick Rude: Thats right, Nobody!

Bobby Heenan: Take a good look at the man that will do what no one else have been able to do in the WWF! The Ultimate Warrior you better listen real good!

*The Ultimate Warrior sneaks up behind the three men on the stage and the crowd erupts with cheers! The three men turn just in time so see the Ultimate Warrior grab Bobby Heenan & Brother Love's head and causing them to head butt each other! The Ultimate Warrior and Rick Rude go back and forth exchanging closed right fists, then Bobby Heenan gets back up and tries to attack the Ultimate Warrior, but is just tosses aside. *The camera cuts to "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase as he walks into Betteridge Jewelers with his bodyguard Virgil.*

Ted DiBiase: *Yells!* Where's my belt!... Where's my Million Dollar belt!

Mr. Betteridge: Ahhh, Mr. DiBiase we were expecting you.

Ted DiBiase: I want to see my belt! My Million Dollar Belt better be finished!

Mr. Betteridge: Yes it is Mr. DiBiase!

Ted DiBiase: I want to see it NOW! Give it to me! Give me my belt!

*Mr. Betteridge pulls out the Million Dollar Belt from inside the glass case.*

Mr. Betteridge: I think you will be more than happy! This is probably my finest creation yet.

*Ted DiBiase pulls off the red wrapping and looks on in amazement at the Million Dollar Belt.*

Ted DiBiase: Next week I will unveil the most expensive, most prestigious belt the World Wrestling Federation has ever seen and it's mine, all mine!

Vince McMahon: We will have to wait until next week to see this Million Dollar Belt!

Jesse Ventura: It's going to be a historic event next week on Superstars of Wrestling!

Vince McMahon: Indeed it will be, but lets not forget about the Main Event coming up next tonight!

Jesse Ventura: This is nothing new McMahon! Andre the Giant Versus Hulk Hogan has been done before.

Vince McMahon: Maybe Andre the Giant can steal one tonight! Hulk Hogan has been the only man to pin Andre and that has got to wear on the man.

Jesse Ventura: If Hulk Hogan was the WWF Heavyweight Champion then this match would be justified McMahon, but Hulk Hogan is not the champion, Randy Savage is!

Vince McMahon: I think Andre the Giant will get his chance soon enough Jesse. Let's go down to Howard Finkel standing in the ring.

Howard Finkel: Making his way to the ring weighing in at 540 pounds... Andre the Giant!!! Making his way to the ring weighing in at 303 pounds... Hulk... Hogan!!!

Hulk Hogan Vs. Andre the Giant (w/Bobby "The Brain Heenan)

Andre the Giant is standing on the apron listening to directions by Bobby Heenan as Hulk Hogan stands in the ring motioning for Andre to step into the ring and get this match started. After a few moments Andre the Giant climbs over the top rope and the bell sounds starting this Main Event match up. Andre the Giant attempts a right hand, but Hogan blocks it and connects on a closed right hand, then Hogan rakes the face of Andre as Andre bounces off the ropes and Hogan irish whips him off the ropes on the other side of the ring, then attempts a shoulder block, but they both stand toe to toe in the middle of the ring.

Andre the Giant blocks a punch and cinches down on Hogans shoulders with his hands and Hogan falls to his knees. Hogan fights the hold for a moment, then is able to get back on his feet and face rakes Andre breaking the hold. Hulk Hogan tries to pick Andre the Giant, but couldn't get Andre up off the mat, then Andre starts hammering away with ax-handles while he has Hulk Hogan in a DDT position, then Andre lifts up his knee and crashes both his knee and Hogan's head towards the mat and Hogan falls to the mat holding his back and head. Andre picks up Hogan and body slams him with ease.

Andre the Giant connects on a series of double ax-handles as Hogan makes his way to his feet. Andre chases Hogan around the ring as he holds onto the top rope trying to stay on his feet while Andre smashes Hogan on the back with his massive forearms. Hogan is shaking his head and arms, but Andre keeps smashing him on the back, then Hogan blocks an attempt by Andre and starts punching away at Andre the Giant. Hogan hammers away walking Andre back into the turnbuckle, then Hogan climbs up on the second rope and hammers to a ten count onto the forehead of Andre. Hulk Hogan waits a second as Andre comes out of the corner and lifts him up into a body slam!

*Hogan poses to the crowd signaling the leg drop and starts to run towards the ropes, but Elizabeth is standing outside the ring! Elizabeth says something to Hulk Hogan and Hogan stands there in disbelief! Hulk Hogan is getting out of the ring and starts running towards the backstage area! Just as Hulk Hogan leaves the sight of the camera Jake "The Snake" Roberts comes out with Damien! Jake Roberts slides into the ring and Andre the Giant quickly exits the ring, then the Brain Buster come down to ringside and the referee Earl Hebner counts out both competitors!*

*Jake "The Snake" Roberts is surrounded in the ring by Andre the Giant and the Brain Busters as the show fades to black!*

Hulk Hogan versus Andre the Giant ends in a "Double Count Out".

OOC: I realize that the main event would have never happened on free T.V. during this time, but I guess at the time I didn't think the match was much due to the angle involved. O'well... I learned!
