Hi Guys

Im new to this forum and am looking to start my first BTB here. My WWE takes place in 2009 starting from the Raw after Wrestlemania 25. Here is the whole backstory:

In early 2009 Vince Mcmahon scrapped the new ECW due to low ratings and also promised to shake up the WWE like never before with a blockbuster announcement at Wrestlemania 25. In the months leading up to Wrestlemania 25, he released various superstars for cost cutting measures and also announced the biggest Main Event in Wrestling history for WM25, Hulk Hogan vs Stone Cold Steve Austin with the injured John Cena as the special Referee.

When WM25 arrived, Vince's announcement did not disappoint. Outlining his new vision, Vince fired GM's Mike Adamle and Vickie Guerrerro and replaced them with his daughter Stephanie on Raw and son Shane on Smackdown. Vince also delivered a 'Talent Re-arrangement' and changed the rosters of Raw and Smackdown as he saw fit. The new changes would begin on the next nights Raw.

Wrestlemania 25: The AFTERMATH03/04/09
Monday Night Raw Preview

Last night we witnessed arguably the greatest Wrestlemania of all time. From the fantastic Money in the bank ladder match in which CM Punk won for the second year running, to the spine tingling spectacle of Stone Cold Steve Austin's victory over Hulk Hogan in a battle of the ages, Wrestlemania 25 had it all.

The most significant part of Wrestlemania however was not a match, but Vince Mcmahon's blockbuster announcement. Having already disbanded ECW in the new year, Vince has now fired General Managers Mike Adamle and Vickie Guerrerro and replaced them with his offspring Stephanie Mcmahon and Shane Mcmahon. How will Stephanie's first night in charge of Raw go? How will the superstars treat their new boss?

Tonight on Raw will also see the Roster changes take place, with the exciting new arrivals of The Undertaker, Matt Hardy and Shelton Benjamin to name a few. However, will Raw ever be the same after the loss of big names Batista, Kane and CM Punk?

After succesfully beating Batista to win the World Heavyweight Championship last night, what is next for Randy Orton? What will the legend killer have to say about his famous victory?

We have learned that Stephanie Mcmahon has already booked 2 matches for Raw, with JBL set to take on Mr Kennedy after his quest to win the Money in the bank ladder match failed, and new Raw girls Maria and Maryse will go one on one. How will these superstars do in their new enviromnment?

All this and so much more on what promises to be an explosive Raw!

Monday Night RAW
03/04/2009

JR and Tazz introduce us to RAW after a crazy 24 hours in WWE History. They hype last nights Wrestlemania 25 and how the landscape of RAW and Smackdown have been changed forever by the 'Talent Re-arrangement'. Before they can go any further, here comes the new GM of Raw, daddy's little girl, Stephanie Mcmahon!
***********************************************************************************
Stephanie Mcmahon struts down to the ring in her business suit to a mixed but heated reaction from the live crowd. She stands in the middle of the ring with a microphone and waits for the crowd to settle before speaking.

Stephanie says tonight is the beginning of a new era for the WWE and Monday Night Raw...the era of Stephanie Mcmahon! (Alot of heat from the live crowd)
She says the dark days of Mike Adamle are over and she will steer Raw in an exciting new direction. She then says that her father Vince has left her with a strong roster after the 'Talent Re-arrangement', and she will get the best out of every superstar, old and new, from Randy Orton (Booo's), John Cena (Mixed reaction), Shawn Michaels (Cheers) and The Undertaker (the place erupts). She then says The Undertaker will be here tonight..before she is interrupted by the music of the new World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton!

Randy Orton makes his way to the ring with the Title proudly over his shoulder and a small smirk on his face. (Major heat from the live crowd)
Randy firstly apologises to Steph for interrupting her but said as he is The World Champion on Raw, he would like to come out and be the first to say that he is excited to be working with her, and that finally it is good that Raw has a strong, powerful leader in charge instead of a mumbling moron who has no clue about wrestling. (Stephanie smiles and reacts well to the compliment)

Randy then says last night he beat Batista fair and square on the grandest stage of them all to win the Heavyweight Championship, but since Batista is now on Smackdown, he wants to know who Stephanie Mcmahon has in mind to be his next challenger...

Stephanie says she is glad that Randy has asked, and congratulates him on winning his match last night. She says that she does have a no.1 contender in mind for Backlash. She says this man is a legend here on Monday Night Raw, that this man, although he didnt win his match last night, proved once again why he is called 'Mr Wrestlemania'.....At Backlash, Randy Orton will defend the World Championship against Shawn Michaels! (Crowd cheers heavily)

Randy gives a sick smile and nods his head in approval. He tells Steph that is a good choice, as Shawn Michaels is not the competitor he used to be. He says Shawn Michaels represents the past, whilst Randy Orton is the present and Future of the WWE.

Stephanie interrupts him and tells Randy he can put that theory to the test, as tonight on Raw, in our main event, its going to be Randy Orton, teaming with his buddies 'Priceless', to take on the team of Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio and Matt Hardy! (Crowd loves this)

Randy doesn't seem to pleased about this as steph gives him a cheeky smile and leaves the ring.
*******************************************************************************
Match
JBL vs Mr Kennedy

JR hypes Mr Kennedys return to Raw and says he looks in great shape after his latest injury lay-off. Kennedy gets on the Mic and does his usual introduction. He says that he is feeling better than ever and says that he will be World Heavyweight Champion soon, because he is MRRRRRR Kennedy......Kennedy!
JBL makes his way to the ring looking p*ssed and the match begins. JBL starts the match strongly and takes the early advantage. He keeps Kennedy grounded and works on the lower back with some vicious kicks and elbow drops. He misses the clothesline from hell which allows Kennedy to hit a neck breaker. Kennedy now has the momentum and takes control, which includes a top rope suplex onto JBL which gets a close 2 count.

After some back and forth action, Kennedy attempts the Mic check but JBL blocks it and out of nowhere hits the Clothesline from Hell for the 3 count!

JR says it is a good win for JBL and says Mr Kennedy's long injury absence may have played a part in the result.

Winner: JBL at 7.49
*************************************************************************************
Layla is in the backstage and she is interviewing the Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella. Layla asks him how he is feeling after beating his former girlfriend Beth Pheonix last night at Wrestlemania.

Santino smiles and says last night he proved that a womans place is in the kitchen, and that Beth Phoenix, whilst she was a bit of fun in the bedroom, is not good enough for Santino. He says he is the greatest Interconintal Champion of all time....

As he is speaking, Mr Kennedy walks past Santino after his loss to JBL and Santino mocks him and says he is not a loser like 'Kennedy Kennedy'. Mr Kennedy looks angry and goes up to Santino and stares him down. Santino tells Mr Kennedy to calm down. Mr Kennedy tells Santino to shut up and says if wants to fight, why not next week on Raw? Santino laughs at him and says he does not fight losers....Santino then slaps Mr Kennedy and runs away! Mr Kennedy does not chase him and just stands there holding his cheek. He looks p*ssed...
********************************************************************************
Match
The British Bulldogs (Harry Smith and Paul Burchill) W/Katie Lea vs Finlay and D-Lo Brown W/Hornswoggle

Harry Smith starts off with D-Lo and takes the early advantage by keeping him isolated. Quick tags to Paul Burchill keeps D-Lo grounded and Finlay begins to get frustrated. As the referee tries to control Finlay, Burchill and Smith double team D-Lo much to the annoyance of the live crowd.
D-Lo finally tags in Finlay who comes in and cleans house! However with the ref distracted by Harry Smith, Katie Lea Burchill hits Finlay with a low blow and Paul Burchill rolls him up for the 3 count!
The British Bulldogs and Katie Lea Burchill celebrate up the rampway as the crowd begin a 'USA' chant'.

Winners: The British Bulldogs at 6.01
*********************************************************************************
Stephanie Mcmahon is in her office when there is a knock at the door and Raw new boy Shelton Benjamin walks in! Shelton shakes Stephanies hand and says he is looking forward to being on Raw. He says being the 'Gold Standard', he deserves a title shot and tells Stephanie he should be added to the main event of Backlash.

Stephanie laughs and says that Shelton needs to prove himself to Stephanie. She suggests that if Shelton wants to impress her, then he should go and make a statement tonight against 'the biggest and best' Raw has to offer.

Shelton looks confused...then smiles and leaves Steph's office.
*********************************************************************************
Match
Maria vs Maryse

The 2 new Raw Divas are going to battle it out here! The match begins and Maryse takes the early advantage and begins working on Maria's knee. However, out of nowhere the WWE Womens champion Beth Phoenix comes to the ring and attacks both Women!! She looks angry and beats down both Divas, giving them both a brutal powerbomb and leaves them both lying. Beth then stands over the fallen bodies of Maryse and Maria and holds the title above her head as the live crowd boo heavily!

Winner: Double DQ at 3.55
**********************************************************************************
Stephanie is in her office and Chris Jericho now enters! Chris says he is sorry to bother her and knows she is a busy woman on her first night as Raw general manager, but he cannot understand her decision to name Shawn Michaels as the no.1 contender. He says he deserves to be World Champion again and says that if she adds Jericho to the main event of Backlash, the ratings will go through the roof.

Stephanie says she sees Jericho's point of view...but she has a better idea. She tells Chris Jericho that he needs to prove himself to her. She says that John Cena is returning from Injury at Backlash and needs an opponent...She says that at Backlash, John Cena will take on Chris Jericho! (crowd pops)

Jericho looks angry and tells Steph that he refuses to face Cena. Steph gets out of her chair now and screams at Jericho! She tells him that she is the boss around here, and that Jericho has 2 choices....Face Cena at Backlash or he will be fired! Jericho then storms out her office.
*******************************************************************************
Match
Santino Marella vs Paul London

The 2 men lock up and Paul London outwrestles Santino and keeps him in a head lock. Santino powers out and the 2 men exchange blows until a thumb to the eye from Santino gives him the advantage. He begins to work on the leg of London but London then reverses an attempted suplex and nails Santino. London then goes to the top rope for a moonsault but Santino moves and then rolls London up for the 3 count!
Santino then celebrates like a mad man but of nowhere Mr Kennedy attacks him and hits the Mic check! Santino is down with Kennedy pointing at him and then signalling he wants the Interconinental title! Kennedy leaves an embarassed Santino in the ring and makes his way to the backstage.

Winner: Santino Marella at 5.36
***************************************************************************************
The lights go out in the arena and gongs hit and the crowd goes wild as the Undertaker makes his way to the ring for his first Raw appearence in years! JR and Tazz hype up his appearence and say that The Undertaker is here to stake his claim for the World Heavyweight Championship!

The Undertaker gets in the ring and takes the Mic. Before he gets the chance to speak he is attacked from behind by Shelton Benjamin!! The Gold Standard begins unleashing rights and lefts to the Undertaker whilst he is down. Shelton then quickly goes outside the ring to get a steel chair as the live crowd boo him. Shelton then strikes Taker in the back twice with the steel chair. Taker is on his knees reeling and Shelton stalks him and then hits him with the PayDirt! Shelton smiles and begins to leave the ring and make his way up the ramp. In the ring, the Undertaker sits up and he looks angry and stares at Shelton up the rampway. Shelton looks scared and runs to the backstage!

The lights go out again and when they come back on the Undertaker is no longer in the ring!
*****************************************************************************
Main Event
Shawn Michaels, Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton and Priceless

The 2 teams decide that Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton will start the match. Shawn Michaels has taped up his ribs after last night's brutal money in the bank ladder match. They lock up and Shawn gets the better of Randy much to the delight of the crowd which prompts Orton to tag in Cody Rhodes. Rhodes and Michaels go at it before HBK tags in Matt Hardy who comes in and cleans house.
With Orton and Dibease on the outside of the ring hammering HBK, Matt Hardy catapults Mysterio over the tope rope and into the two men which reverses the momentum.
After some back and forth action, Orton and Priceless begin to isolate Mysterio and wear him down with some quick tags and double team moves including a double top rope suplex.
Orton attemps the RKO on Rey but Rey blocks it and tags in HBK who comes and cleans house again. Matt Hardy and Mysterio brawl with Priceless up the rampway which leaves HBK and Orton alone in the ring.
HBK tunes up the band and goes for Sweet chin Music but Orton ducks and hits the RKO!! Orton covers HBK for the 1-2-3! Orton and Priceless win this one but this is not over as Orton now goes to the outside to get a steel chair! Before he gets a chance to use it on Michaels, Hardy and Mysterio come to his rescue and Orton retreats with Priceless up the rampway. They reach the top of the ramp and raise each others hands as the live crowd boo's and RAW goes off the air!

Winner: Randy Orton and Priceless at 20.14

Wrestlemania 25: The AFTERMATH
07/04/09
Friday Night Smackdown Preview

Last Sunday we witnessed arguably the greatest Wrestlemania of all time.

Tonight on Smackdown will also see the Roster changes take place, with the exciting new arrivals of Batista, Kane and CM Punk to name a few. However, will Smackdown ever be the same after the loss of big names of the Undertaker and Shelton Benjamin?

At Wrestlemania the 'Rated R Superstar' Edge beat all odds to climb out the cage ahead of Triple H and Jeff Hardy to win the WWE Championship. What is next for the new champion, and when will former champ Jeff Hardy exercise his right at a rematch? Also, where does Triple H fit in the equation?

New GM Shane Mcmahon has already announced a Wrestlemania rematch as new US champ The Brian Kendrick will defend against former champ R-Truth. Will R-Truth be able to overcome the champ and his manager Euzikiel Jackson to regain the title?

After his dissapointing loss to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania, how will Smackdown new boy Batista respond in his new show? Will he go straight for new WWE champ Edge?

After his heroic triumph in the money in the bank ladder match for the second year running, will CM Punk cash it in on Smackdown once again against Edge? Or will he bide his time and strike at a more opportunist time?

All this and much more on what promises to be an explosive Smackdown!

Friday Night Smackdown
07/04/08

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome us to a capacity crowd for the first Smackdown after Wrestlemania! They hype Wrestlemania and tell us that new Smackdown GM Shane Mcmahon is scheduled to open the show tonight........and here comes the money!!
***************************************************************************************
Shane Mcmahon's music hits and he comes down to the ring to a loud ovation from the crowd. Shane does his trademark dancing before entering the ring and take a microphone. A 'Shane O Mac' chant breaks out and Shane smiles and waits for the crowd to settle.
Shane says its good to be back inside a WWE ring. He says that changes had to be made for the sake of the company's future, and that he is the right man to take Smackdown to new heights. He promises to give the fans what they want, and one thing he knows that they want is for Jeff Hardy to be WWE Champion (Crowd pops). He says as his first act in charge of Smackdown, he announces that at Backlash, Edge will defend the title against Jeff Hardy!

Triple H's Music hits and the crowd pops! Triple H does not look happy tonight as he makes his way to the ring. Shane addresses Triple H as 'bro' and tells him he knows why he is out here. Triple H tells Shane it's obvious, that at Wrestlemania, the best man lost in the Cage match. He says Edge did not deserve to win the match, and neither did Jeff Hardy (mixed pop from the crowd). Triple H demands that he gets added to the match at Backlash or even better, gets Edge one-on-one for the title tonight!! (Crowd pops)
Shane smiles and tells Triple H to calm down, Shane makes the decisions around here. Shane tells Triple H that everyone on Smackdown is starting with a clean slate and will have to prove themselves to him, Triple H included....

Batista's music hits and The Animal makes his way to the ring! Lawler and Cole hype Batista's return to Smackdown and note The Animal looks angry after losing to Randy Orton at Wrestlemania.
A 'Batista' chant breaks out and he takes a mic. Batista says he is going to get straight to the point, he is here to get a shot at the WWE championship. He says he was robbed at Wrestlemania by Orton, but since he can no longer do anything about it, he will take out his anger on Edge!
Triple H interrupts him and tells Batista he is kind of stepping on his toes here. Triple H says he completely understands why Batista is upset, but that he asked first! Batista smiles and then tells Triple H that he doesnt care who he offends, or who he has to go through to get the WWE title, even if its Triple H! Triple H smiles and then looks angry and the two men go nose to nose as the crowd go nuts!!

Shane Mcmahon tells them to cut it out. He tells them that the simple truth is that they both lost at Wrestelmania, and that their chance at the title has gone for the time being. But he says that if they continue to win matches and impress Shane, then he may have a re-think after Backlash. Shane then asks them if they remember the days of Evolution, because tonight Batista and Triple H will be teaming up again to face The Miz and John Morrison! He thanks them and leaves the ring! Triple H and Batista look confused but shake hands and leave the ring.
***************************************************************************************
WWE United States Championship Match
The Brian Kendrick (C) W/ Euzikiel Jackson vs R-Truth

Michael Cole hypes this Wrestlemania rematch and they show footage of Wrestlemania of how Kendrick stole the US title after Euzikiel Jackson had interefered in the match. Both men make their way to the ring and the match begins at a high pace with R-Truth taking the early advantage with various hip tosses and clotheslines which forces Kendrick to retreat out the ring much to the disgust of the crowd. An 'R-Truth' chant breaks out and Kendrick does not look happy.
A thumb to the eye changes the momentum and Kendrick takes control and keeps R-Truth grounded by working on his right leg. Kendrick distracts the ref several times and Euzikiel chokes R-Truth by the apron. R-Truth is struggling however manages to reverse a suplex attempt with a suplex of his own. Truth now begins to take advantage and manages to hit the spinning scissors kick! Before he can go for the pin Euzikiel Jackson enters the ring and clotheslines R-Truth! The ref calls for the DQ but Jackson keeps hammering away at R-Truth. Kendrick is up now and hits 'The Kendrick' on a helpless R-Truth and leave him lying!

Winner by DQ: R-Truth at 9.34
*******************************************************************************************
Match
Big Show vs Jimmy Wang Yang

The Big Show makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Footage is shown from Wrestlemania where Big Show walked out on his partner Kozlov and left him to face the Undertaker one on one.
Big Show grabs a mic and says he is sure the whole world wants to know why he walked out of the match at Wrestlemania last sunday. He says the answer is simple...he is tired of being a puppet. He says Vickie Guerrerro made him promises that she did not stick to, and now that she is gone, he answers to no one. He says he is now his own man, and has his sights set on the WWE Championship. Before he can carry on, Kozlov appears on the titon tron. Kozlov warns Big Show to watch his back and that Big Show will pay the price for leaving him. Big Show smiles and now the match can finally get under way!

Big Show hammers Jimmy Wang Yang and his strength is too much despite a gutsy showing from Yang. He hits the chokeslam for the win.

Winner: Big Show at 1.56

The VIP Lounge is next!
*******************************************************************************************
MVP makes his way to the ring for another addition of the VIP lounge! We see highlights of the MITB ladder match as MVP looks bruised and battered.
MVP gets the mic and welcomes the crowd. He then says he has just been informed by Shane Mcmahon before he came out that he will be facing Jeff Hardy in tonight's main event! (crowd pops) He says he can barely walk after being hit with a ladder about 100 times, and Shane expects him to wrestle again tonight. He says he is being victimized, and finds it odd how CM Punk gets the night off. He says just because Punk fluked the victory at Wrestlemania, he should not be treated like royalty. He reminds everyone that MVP is the hottest property on Smackdown, no, the WWE, and should be treated as such - CM Punks music hits and he makes his way to the ring with taped up ribs and left elbow. He proudly displays the briefcase which he has won 2 years running!

MVP tells Punk that as his guest tonight, he should show more respect and wait for the host to introduce him. Punk apologies but says he could not wait behind the curtain any longer whilst MVP whines and complains as usual. Punk tells MVP at Wrestlemania he beat 7 of the best WWE has to offer to become the first superstar to win 2 Money in the bank matches in succession. Punk then holds the briefcase up to MVP's face! MVP says that real cute, and asks Punk when he plans to cash in the briefcase. Punk tells MVP thats his business. MVP smiles and says he has a proposition for Punk. He says that if Punk was a real man, he will face MVP one on one at Backlash and put the the MITB Briefcase on the line! Punk smiles and tells MVP he will not fall into that trap so easily. MVP tells Punk that he is scared, because he knows that he cannot beat MVP one on one. He tells Punk that the whole world knows he was a fluke champion last year and that his victory at Wrestlemania was a fluke again. Punk looks pissed now and squares up to MVP. Before they can go any further, Shane Mcmahon appears on the titron tron from his office. Shane says that he has made the match official for Backlash and that CM Punk will face MVP, however he will leave it up to Punk to decide whether or not he wants to put his MITB on the line...

Punk smiles and then strikees MVP over the head with the briefcase, knocking him out! Punk then stands over a fallen MVP and screams 'You're on!!' before leaving to a huge pop!
*****************************************************************************************
Intergender 6 Person Tag Match
Jesse, Festus and Mickie James vs Natalya, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder

New Smackdown diva Mickie James makes her debut for her new show here and is mixed with the WWE Divas champ Natalya!
Hawkins and Jesse start the match here and Hawkins take the early advantage and keeps Jesse grounded, much to the frustration of Festus on the outside.
Jesse eventually tags in Festus who comes in and cleans house. With the 4 men fighting on the outside of the ring, Mickie and Natalya go at it in the ring. Natalya traps Mickie in the sharpshooter however Jesse breaks it up, but gets it with a neckbreaker from Ryder. Ryder then covers Jesse for the victory!
Mickie does not look happy and storms out of the ring...

Winners: Natalya, Hawkins and Ryder at 7.45
******************************************************************************************
Shane Mcmahon is in his office and The Brian Kendrick enters with Euzikeil Jackson. Kendrick tells Shane he heard he was looking for him. Shane says he is glad that the 2 of the came in, because he has some news. He says that Kendrick has not convinced him as US Champ and that without Big Ziek, he would be nothing. Kendrick looks furious and tells Shane he doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. Shane then says he is going to give Kendrick a chance to prove him wrong, because at Backlash, it will be Kendrick vs R-Truth for the US title and Euzikiel will be barred from ringside! Kendrick explodes now and screams at Shane, telling him he has no right to do that. Shane laughs and explains that he is GM of Smackdown, he can do what the hell he wants! Shane then says that next week on Smackdown, Euzikiel Jackson will be competing against R-Truth! Kendrick and Euzikiel looks angry and storm out of Shanes office.
******************************************************************************************
We see a shot of the parking lot and a limo pulls up. The driver opens the back door and out comes the new WWE champion Edge! The crowd boo's heavily as Edge smiles and makes his way into the arena.
****************************************************************************************
Tag Match
Batista and Triple H vs The Miz and John Morrisson

All the men make their way to the ring and Triple H and the Miz will start the match. Triple H starts strongly and out muscles the Miz, forcing him to tag in Morrisson who goes straight for Triple H's taped up knee. Morrission keeps HHH grounded but he gets the tag to Batista and Batista comes in and lays out Morrisson with a spear, followed by a spinebuster to the Miz. He then hits the Batista Bomb to Morrisson and gets the 1-2-3!
Triple H and Batista celebrate an impressive win in the ring but are interrupted by the music of the Great Khali! Khali and Umaga, the Tag team champs, come out and stand on the rampway with their manager Ranjin Singh. Batista and Triple H look confused as the crowd boos.
Singh has a mic and says for too long now, the greatest tag team in WWE history, Khali and Umaga, have had it all too easy. He says there is no competition worthy of challenging for the titles....until you two came along! Singh says Khali and Umaga are fed up of easy matches, and want a real challenge. Singh then issues a challenge to Triple H and Batista at Backlash to face Khali and Umaga for the WWE tag team titles. Singh says he wants an answer next week on Smackdown....
Triple H and Batista looks confused and shrug their shoulders before leaving the ring, discussing the proposal as they walk up the ramp.

Winners: Triple H and Batista at 4.45

Main Event
MVP Vs Jeff Hardy

Before the match we are shown highlights of the WWE title match at Wrestlemania where Hardy lost his title to Edge in the cage match.
Before Hardy and MVP come out, Edge makes his way to the ring and takes a seat at ringside, it seems he is scouting his opponent Jeff Hardy for Backlash!

Hardy gets the better of the early exchanges and forces MVP into a re-think on the outside. MVP seems daised and looks as though he is suffering from the effects of the assualt from CM Punk earlier in the night.
Hardy misses a whisper in the wind and MVP takes control and works on Hardy's back with a succession of vicious back breakers, much to the delight of Edge on the outside.
With both men out the ring, MVP lays out Hardy near Edge. Edge then starts trash talking Hardy whilst he is down. MVP rolls Hardy in the ring and looks set to hit the drive by kick but Hardy moves and its the twist of fate which gets a two count.
After some more back and forth exchanges, Hardy slams MVP and then hits the swantom bomb for an impressive victory, but before he can celebrate, Edge hits the ring and hits Hardy with a spear! Edge now pummels Hardy, brutally kicking and punching away. MVP is back up and also joins in the attack! The 2 men beat down on Hardy but CM Punk races to the ring! Punk clotheslines Edge as MVP retreats out the ring, followed by Edge! Punk looks fired up and is inviting both men back in the ring. MVP and Edge smile as they retreat up the rampway whilst Punk checks on a beaten Hardy as Smackdown ends!

Winner: Jeff Hardy at 20.12

Over the hill?
Monday Night Raw Preview 10/04/2009

Last week on Raw we discovered new GM Stephanie Mcmahon announcing that Shawn Michaels is the new number 1 contender for Backlash, leading to claims from World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton that Michaels is no longer worthy of being in the title hunt,
"Shawn Michaels is past his prime and is no longer in the same league as me, Randy Orton, the World Heavyweight Champion..."
In a 6 man tag team main event, Orton added ground to his theory by avoiding sweet chin music and nailing HBK with an RKO to get his team the victory.
How will Shawn Michaels respond to Orton's taunts this week when he faces another competitor in the title hunt, JBL? With Orton sure to be scouting his Backlash opponent, tensions will be running high.

Shelton Benjamin made arguably the biggest impact of any superstar in the new Stephanie Mcmahon era when he came down and viciously attacked The Undertaker in order to prove a point that he should be the number 1 contender. Was this a deadly mistake by Benjamin to mess with the Phenom? What will new GM Stephanie Mcmahon think of his actions?

With news that 'The Dr of Thugganomics' John Cena is scheduled to return to action after injury at Backlash, Stephanie Mcmahon has named Chris Jericho as his opponent. Jericho was however less than thrilled at this as he felt he deserved a shot at Randy Orton's World Heavyweight Championship,
"I am Chris Jericho, the best in the world, and i deserve the best championship in the world..."
Despite his frustrations, Jericho has confirmed to WWE.Com that he will indeed face Cena at Backlash, and this week on Raw promises to issue a chilling warning to Cena...

Also on Raw this week, Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella will face Mr. Kennedy in a non-title match, with Mr Kennedy hoping to gain more revenge after being slapped by the flampboyant Italian last week.
After Beth Phoenix came down and attacked Maria and Maryse after their match last week, GM Stephanie Mcmahon has made a triple threat non-title match between the 3 Diva's this week, and also Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio will be teaming to face tag team champions Priceless.

Stephanie Mcmahon has also promised to name more matches for Backlash on what promises to be a very exciting RAW!

hey mate firstly just wanted to say it is great to see some fresh faces around this section so since this is my first comment in this post i just wanted to say welcome.

Secondly i would just like to say sorry for not having enough time to comment or review your actual show.

And thirdly just wanted to leave some comments on the Raw preview so here you are:

Stephanie McMahon as GM of Raw is innovative i like. Orton vs Michaels is not innovative but if you write it correctly could be done well.

Benjamin-Undertaker i applaud you on that

Jericho-Cena was over done in 2005 hopefully you do it differently

Good luck with it mate

Thanks im looking forward to seeing everyones work and comparing it to my own, there is a lot of high standards here.

Thanks for the comments, all feedback i appreciate.

The Jericho-Cena angle is not a feud as such, more of a stop gap. I have different plans for Cena and Jericho after Backlash so this gives Jericho something to rant about on Raw for now whilst giving Cena a top quality opponent for his comeback after injury.

I know Orton vs HBK has been done to death, but im going to approach it from a slightly different angle and you will see this hopefully by Backlash.

Yeah im quite excited to the Benjamin-Taker feud as it is fresh and im hoping it can help elevate Benjamin to true main event status.

My first Raw and Smackdown shows i have kept limited to just really show the basic storlyines that i hope to produce. As i go on longer, im hoping to extend my shows with more detailed matches and promos. I have been looking around here and there really are some awesome BTB's.

Thanks for the feedback, i hope you keep reading. I will def leave a comment and a review on your BTB Wrestle freak42 hopefully over this weekend.

Kyro, man. Thanks for you kind comments on my BTB.. I really appreciate it..

Now. I really don't have time for a proper review on your show. but i would like to comment on your preview for your next show...

As wrestlefreak said. Stephanie as RAW GM - Innovative. but i would like to see a more fresh face on the GM role. as we've seen what Steph could do. Maybe a Flair on the GM role wouldn't hurt. but it's your BTB. and i like how you write Steph. Keep it up.

OMG. Shelton on a push? Oh yeah! That's what i'm talking about! And what better superstar to make you over than the Undertaker? Man, I'm telling you. This feud is very fresh and i like to see where will you take it.

Dr. of Thuganomics? Hmm. You mean your bringing Rapping Cena back? That's good. I'd like to see how would you write his promos. As wrestlefreak said. Jericho and Cena has already been done on the past (2005) and hopefully.. You'll do it different and much better.

Kennedy > Marella, nuff said.

Good luck with this mate. I'll promise to review your next show. and btw thanks for your feedback on my show. hope you drop by it again soon.
