Preview: Setting Up the Story.

Dom479 Presents: 2007 The Way It Should have been

2007 was a year of disappointment seeing as they had the best roster that they’d had in years. ECW robbed lots of talent and SmackDown was going even more downhill. The Deadman could only hold onto the title for a month or two. Imagine if undertaker didn’t win the royal rumble and was still on quest for the championship. What if RAW had a new suprise GM?

First Step: Road To Wrestlemania

Royal Rumble 2007
Alabama: Mobile – Mobile Civic Center

Tag Team Grudge Match
The Hardy Boys vs. MNM
MNM were psyched up for this match after Joey Mercury had half of his face ripped of at Armageddon 2006 in the four way tag team ladder match. They showed complete annihilation over the Hardy brothers with multiple double team moves. Lots of cheating and Melina distracting the ref set MNM for a revenge win.

Winners: MNM via pinfall

ECW World Championship Match
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Test
What looked like a close contest turned out to be complete domination from test. He out-muscled the powerhouse Bobby Lashley with a series of clotheslines and big boots. He was set to finish Lashley off with a full nelson slam, but only got a two count. Lashley struggled his way through the rest of the match and hit a dominator and got the three count

Winner: Bobby Lashley via Pinfall

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Batista (c) vs. Mr. Kennedy
Mr Kennedy came into the match fired up but He wasn’t ready for the wrath of batista who entered the ring determined to keep his gold. Batista took the first half of the match but was finally brought down by the dirty tactics of Mr. Kennedy. It was a technical battle from then onwards with Kennedy coming out on top until a suplex of the top rope from Kennedy brought them to halt on the ground. Batista beat the ten count and got up on 8 picking up Mr. Kennedy and hitting a lethal Batista Bomb out of nowhere. Then Mr. Kennedy escaped the three count, just. Batista gave him another Batista Bomb and Mr. Kennedy couldn’t kick out of that.

Winner: Batista via Pinfall

WWE Championship Last Man Standing Match
John Cena (c) vs. Umaga (w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada)
It was a unfair start to the match for John Cena as Umaga tricked him by coming from the crowd and attacking him with a dustbin lid. Umaga continued his early domination with variations of weapons. Cena was down for an 8 count before struggling back up and countering a punch from Umaga. Cena then bombarded Umaga with chair shots. He then chased after Armando Alejandro Estrada eventually catching him and throwing him into the steel steps. Whilst Cena was focusing on beating the living daylights out of Estrada, Umaga ran up to Cena hitting him with the WWE championship belt. Cena was down for 9 until reaching his feet again. Umaga threw Cena in the ring and rolled in the ring only to find the clenched fist of John Cena hitting him in the face. Cena hit the 5 knuckle shuffle and threw Umaga out side. They brawled by the announcers tables for a bit until John Cena managed to lift Umaga onto his shoulders and deliver the FU through the announcers table. Umaga was out for the ten.

Winner: John Cena via Knockout

Royal Rumble Match
Winner: Gets A Shot At Any Title Of There Choice at Wrestlemania XXl
Shawn Michaels was first out to a warm reception. Second out was Rey Mysterio. Them two brawled till there was 5 in the ring Lance Cade was first to be eliminated, The sixth entrant was The Big Red Machine Kane who stepped into the ring destroying anyone in his path and eliminating Trevor Murdoch and Matt Hardy in his path of destruction. The ring started filling up until the twelfth entrant entered the ring it was Big Vis. He eliminated 5 competitors and was a major threat for the next 10 minutes. Number 21 was the illustrious Randy Orton and there was now a new favourite for the rumble until he got eliminated 2 minutes after. Rey was then eliminated and couldn’t repeat his performance of last year. Number 30 saw the appearance of the undertaker. Finally it came down to last 6. They were Undertaker, Kane, HBK, Rob Van Dam, Chris Benoit and Edge. Kane was gone first thanks to a Undertaker Chokeslam over the top rope. Rob Van Dam was next to go with a HBK Sweet Chin Music and he went flying over the ropes. Then there were four, Undertaker, HBK, Chris Benoit and Edge. HBK was next to go as he was thrown over by Taker. Edge then speared Benoit and he went through the middle rope. Edge turned round to find Taker throwing a clothesline and they both went over the top rope. Which means Benoit won his second royal rumble because only went through the middle rope!

Royal Rumble Winner: Chris Benoit

The Show Goes Off Air.

This was just a recap so you know who champs and stuff are to start.
Matches will be in more depth when I do my SmackDown! And Raw Shows on Friday 19th.

This looks okay, rosters are nice. But really something that is a pet peeve of man is grammar. Your thread title is wrong it should be 'WWE 2007: The Way It Should Have Been' or 'Should've Been.' Other than that like I said this looks good and I wish you the best of luck.

Texas; Dallas –American Airlines Center

Opening Video

As the fireworks go off and the fans cheer, the camera goes around the arena showing the sold out crowd in Dallas, Texas.

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the sold out American Airlines Centre just one day after the Royal Rumble. You’re here with me Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler.

Jerry Lawler: Thanks JR; I mean what an amazing event. I really thought edge was going to win it, but there was something wrong with that event JR… No Puppies!

Jim Ross: We also saw Ken Kennedy put up a fight against Batista but eventually losing and John Cena defeated Umaga. As you have seen on WWE.com the Royal Rumble winner Chris Benoit will be here to make a decision of who he will fight at Wrestlemania XXII. We have heard that not only Cena being in the building but Batista is here too. They will be contesting in a one on one match up later this evening.

Jerry Lawler: I can’t wait to see that JR. We also have an amazing triple threat later tonight. It will be Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs A mystery wrestler. I wonder who that could be JR.

Jim Ross: Well I don’t think…

*Chris Benoit’s music sounds into the arena*

The crowd roars.

Jim Ross: Oh My God! Here he is the fourteenth entrant to the WWE Royal Rumble 2007. And by god he won it.

Chris Benoit makes his way down to the ring. He walks up the steps and steps into the ring. He gets a microphone.

Chris Benoit: Now I’m here to announce the title that I will be winning at Wrestlemania XXII. I just want to say, it feels good to be the Royal Rumble winner for the 2nd time. Only a few select members of the WWE have ever done that. Now I hear that not only is John Cena in the building…

Heat, from mentioning Cena.

Chris Benoit: But the self proclaimed ‘Animal’ Batista is the building as well. Now I’m here to tell all of you fans who will feel the wrath of the crippler crossface at Wrestlemania and will TAP OUT!

*John Cena’s Music plays.*

John Cena walks out to the top of the ramp.

John Cena: I know what your thinking Benoit. Your thinking ‘ How in the hell am I going to beat the Doctor Of Thugonomics for the WWE Championship on the biggest stage of them all? Well Benoit, I’ve got answer for you. You won’t. As for Fatista he should retire already. How old is he? Like 80?

*Batista’s Music plays*

Batista walks to the top of the ramp next to Cena.

Batista: John, you know what. Shut the hell up. You come out here and talk rubbish for 2 minutes and think the crowd will respect you. You will meet your destiny later tonight. As for Benoit, you are one of the wrestlers that I respect. You stick to your word. If you do choose to challenge me at Wrestlemania though, I will have to kick your ass. If you pick Cena though, I hope you teach him the meaning of respect.

Chris Benoit: Well I’m going to have to pick…

*the crowd are silent*

Chris Benoit:…John Cena.

The scene then ends as Batista and Cena go off stage.

*Commercial Break*

Match 1 – Singles Match
Rob Van Dam vs Kane
This was a very interesting opener for RAW. Kane took control of the match in the first few minutes and got the start he wanted. A few early left uppercuts and a big boot startled RVD. RVD managed to battle his way back into it with sidekicks and perfectly executed enzuguri. The match looked like was going to end when RVD climbed to the top rope. Kane rolled out of the way a split second before leaving Rob Van Dam colliding with the canvas. Kane then made his way to his feet and clutched his hands round Rob Van Dam’s throat. But RVD managed to kick him in the gut and ran off the ropes and hit the bulldog. Then RVD made his way to the top rope for the second time. This time pulling of the Five Star Frog Splash. 1…2…3. RVD took it.
Winner: RVD via pinfall at 9:23

RVD gets up and climbs up all four corners clapping his hands to the fans RVD chants. Kane walks off threatening the fans. RVD goes up the ramp after him. One last look at the fans and walks off the stage.

Backstage segment…

We go backstage here for the first time tonight…

Maria: So Rob, What a good victory over the big red machine Kane.

Rob: Thanks Maria, I mean I went into that fight expecting the worse, but I guess no one can defeat Mr. Monday Night Rob Van Dam. Im sending out an open invitation to anyone in the WWE to fight me at No Way Out.

Maria screams as Kane runs up and hits RVD in the back of the head with a steel chair.

Kane: Invitation accepted.

*Commercial Break*

Jim Ross: Welcome back here, we are live on Monday Night RAW.

Jerry Lawler: Did you see that earlier JR? Kane just assaulted RVD with a chair.

Jim Ross: Your right, Kane jus ran up to Rob Van Dam hitting him right in the cranium with a steel chair.

Jerry Lawler: This is what happened earlier…

*Caption of RVD/Kane Backstage Segment*

Jim Ross: It has been confirmed that RVD has infact been taken to local hospital where he will receive treatment. He has suffered a lot of blood loss.

Match 2 – Tag Team Championship Match
Chris Masters & Carlito vs Cade & Murdoch(c)
You would expect the tag team champions to try to defend there title in this match, but effort was lacking from the defending champions. Carlito completely dominated Cade in a technical battle with a facebuster and a series of suplexes. From then on it was teamwork from Carlito and Masters with a double powerbomb. Carlito then went round the outside and hit the back-cracker on Murdoch. Leaving Cade to get stuck in the Master-Lock. Cade stayed in hold for a good 30 seconds before eventually fainting. Masters & Carlito dominated and are the new tag team champions.

Winners and New Tag Team Champions: Chris Masters & Carlito via pinfall 6:29.

Chris Masters throws down Cade as Carlito brings in the belts. Masters points to them and starts shouting at the crowd. Victory for Masters and Carlito but honestly Pure Domination.

Jim Ross: What a match. The teamwork from Carlito & masters was superb there Jerry.

Jerry Lawler: Never mind that JR, we’ve got a Diva Battle Royal next.

Jim Ross: The winner will earn a shot at Womens Championship at Wrestlemania.

Jerry Lawler: Who cares?! There puppies.

Jim Ross: Well all that up next.

*Commercial Break*

Match 3 – Divas Battle Royal
Winner Gets Shot At Title at Wrestlemania
Trish Stratus vs Lita vs Candice Michelle vs Melina
Melina and Lita waste no time starting by throwing Candice Michelle over the top ropes. Trish Stratus came in and took control for the next 3 minutes. Melina and Lita then double teamed on Trish Stratus. Trish was threw off the ropes but managed to duck the clothesline from Lita. Then she grabbed Lita by the hair and through her over the top ropes. Melina and Trish were left. Trish capitalized for 2 minutes then Melina ducked the Chick Kick. Melina then eliminated Trish.

Winner: Melina via Elimination 4:55

Backstage Segment:

Maria is standing with the WWE Champion John Cena.

Maria: So John, Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania.

John Cena: I’m not fussed about Wrestlemania tonight. All I’m thinking about is beating Batista tonight and I know that Batista doesn’t want a piece of John Cena. I could whip his ass here backstage. Drag him all the way to the ring and make him tap.

Batista walks on to the camera.

Batista: Is that so John?

Cena & Batista square up to each other as the camera zooms in so there face to face.

*John Cena’s Music Plays*
Match 4 – Champion vs Champion
John Cena vs Batista
Batista got the bigger pop from the crowd heading into the match. Batista dominated the first few minutes with the crowd on his side. Then John Cena capitalized with a clothesline. Then he picked up Batista and nailed the Protoplex. He dragged up Batista and then irish whipped him into the corner. He grabbed the momentum with a superplex off the second turnbuckle. What a manoeuvre. They were both on the floor after. Cena was first to his feet and turned the fight into a technical bout pulling of some signature moves. Then John Cena out of nowhere pulled off the F-U. Cena dropped to floor and started to crawler over to Batista. Eventually he was on Batista’s back then STFU… Batista beckoned screams of agony. Batista was fainting. The ref lifted up his hand it dropped to the canvas… 1… he dropped his hand again… 2… then he lifted up Batista’s hand a final time… it thudded onto the canvas… 3.

Winner: John Cena via submission 17:32

John Cena rolled back onto the canvas. Out of breath, he struggled to his feet. He pointed backstage as if he was sending a message to Benoit. One last salute to the camera and some potty talk to Batista and he made his way backstage.

*Commercial Break*

Main Event – Triple Threat Match
Triple H vs Shawn Michaels vs Mystery Wrestler
The mystery guest didn’t appear so it was left for Michaels to steal the show. Shawn Michaels starts on the offence with a few jabs then an atomic drop. Shawn Michaels then throws Triple H over the ropes and heads on after him. Triple H quickly gets to his feet though and elbows Michaels in the face. The Heart Break Kid then finds himself face first into the ringpost after an irish whip from Triple H. Triple H continued his domination by taking him all the way around the ring and smahing him into the barriers. He finally through HBK back inside. Triple H rolled in after him. Sweet Chin Music! Out of nowhere. Oh My God! HBK rolled Triple H over and went for the pin. 1… 2… but Triple H kicked out. They both made they’re way to there feet. Shawn Michaels ran up attempted the clothesline but Triple H ducked. HBK turned round to a kick in the groin and Triple H looked like he was going to finish it with a Pedigree…

Jim Ross: Oh My God what’s happened? The lights have appeared to of gone out hear in the Airlines Arena…

*The Lights Flash Back On*

Jerry Lawler: JR, JR! Look it’s The Rock. Oh My God!

…Triple H is unconscious on the floor. The Rock’s holding a steel chair. Shawn Michaels goes for the pin 1… 2… 3.

Winner: Shawn Michaels via pinfall 12:32.

*Vince McMahon’s music plays*

Heat from the crowd.

Vince McMahon: Shut Up!

The crowd boo louder.

Vince McMahon: Shut Up! I’m here to congratulate The Rock on becoming the new RAW General Manager.

Pop from the crowd.

The Rock: And Finally, The Rock has come back, to Monday Night RAW.

*Vince walks down and steps into the ring*

Vince McMahon: Now Rock, Remember this to be the day that Vincent Kennedy…

The Rock: IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!

The Rock walks up to Vince and kicks him in the gut. ROCK BOTTOM! The Rock slides his armband off his arm and throws into the sold out crowd. He bounces off the rope… PEOPLES ELBOW!

The Rock: Can you Smellllllllllllllll what The Rock is cooking!
