This is my new BTB. The backstory is that the 2008 draft was an initial success but ratings began to flounder after the first month and therefore WWE decided that they would respark the energy that the industry had back in the days of the Monday Night Wars, so the company goes on a talent hiring spree so that they can create 3 completely seperate rosters and give the appearance of 3 seperate companies, being WWE(Raw), WCW(Smackdown) and ECW(ECW). The shows will appear completely independent, with a different McMahon owning each and drafting seperate wrestlers to their show. All shows are now 2 hours with Raw and Smackdown going out live. It is also decided that as an experimental measure the PG rating will be dropped from WCW while the other two brands will keep it. I will only be writing WCW shows, but will keep you informed on the WWE and ECW happenings through quick results and joint pay per views.

QUICK RESULTS
Highlights are shown of Vince McMahon’s tragic accident during his Million Dollar Mania segment on Raw from a few weeks ago as well as highlights of Shane and Stephanie McMahon’s pleas to the WWE roster.
Show kicks off with a shock as Vince McMahon’s music plays and the now wheelchair bound chairman is pushed to the ring by Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Vince is given a microphone and begins an attack on the state of modern wrestling, saying that he will hunt down whoever caused the set to fall on him, but that he can also see why they did it, because no-one is afraid of Vince McMahon anymore. He then announces that this will all change as we are going back to a time when he was feared because he is splitting WWE into 3 separate companies, WWE, WCW and ECW, each of which will take over a brand. He then announces the owners of the 3 companies as Stephanie McMahon (WWE), Shane McMahon (WCW) and himself (ECW). It is then announced that each company will take over a current WWE show with more shows coming as the company grows, WWE gets Raw on Mondays, WCW gets Smackdown on Fridays and ECW keeps its show but will be moved to a 2 hour show. He goes on to announce that tonight’s Raw will be a full roster draft with each company getting 10 picks each, some of which can be used on various surprise returning superstars which each owner has been given a list of, with the remaining superstars being drafted in a lottery on wwe.com following the show. I was going to do something very similar to this if I hadn't started my other BTB. I'm excited to see how you play this out, and you have a reader in me!
Oooooh.... I... I LOVE THIS! This OWNS, TBH. The Roster is fantastic; though I'm not sure of The Undertaker and a few other WWE loyalists on a WCW brand, still, I like the Luchadores you signed and such, and the Champions are young and can carry this rather unique brand. Finally, a WWE/WCW thread to look forward to, IMO. The roster has all the potential in the world ad I hope you can succeed with this. Very intriguing, indeed. World Championship Wrestling, FTW!

Re: WCW 2008: The Return
Well this certainly looks impressive to say the least. As Dubya mentioned, the rosters are great and you have a good bunch to lead the brand to success. I love the graphics too, nice job man. I'll keep an eye out for this.

This looks good, I had one of these WCW returns threads a while back and it didn't go too hot. I hope you better luck and the graphics are a nice touch. I'm looking foward to the first show.
Man how do you do this headlines and stuff because I really think its very good. This is very good news indeed and good to see some good talents coming in.
