Default Re: WWE - GET IT! - SUMMER 2008

[BTB NOTES]

>>> It’s official, No Mercy will be in full. When the PPV was originally conceived and planned, Bradley was still writing Smackdown and we planned to approach in the same way we approached SummerSlam and Unforgiven. However with Kyle taking over from Bradley, it seemed inevitable that the PPV would be written in recap form. Following much debate, we have decided to plough ahead with full PPV’S. It’s no secret that I’m not the biggest lover of writing matches, but it’s something I’m warming to and hopefully with each passing PPV event I’ll like it a little more.

>>> Cyber Sunday was scrapped as a PPV when this BTB was conceived some 11 months ago and in it’s place Saturday Nights Main Event was scheduled for November 1at from MSG, in New York City. This is a TV show for all of you wondering and will not have full matches, though it will have PPV quality matches from SmackDown and Raw. Superstar may or may not be involved in the show, that’s still to be decided. The Superstars brand, as many of you will have noticed, is very much on it’s own and offers a different product to that of SmackDown and certainly to that of Raw.

>>> RAW. Well it’s been about a month since the last show. This seems to be the pattern that has developed, as we are 11 months into this BTB and the next Raw will be my 11th show. Expect a preview on Thursday or Friday. The show will be headlined by the CM Punk, Shawn Michaels non title match up that has been building now for 3 weeks. It’s also the go home show before No Mercy as far as the Raw brand is concerned. The show is all but done and it’s a cracker if I do say so myself. Expect major storyline progression and a lot of wresting on the show, which will be a change of pace.

[NEWS & GOSSIP]

>>> James Mitchell has signed with the WWE and is expected to appear on Raw this Monday night in some shape or form. The WWE apparently signed Mitchell just 10 days ago in a last minute deal. This would give rise to the notion that the WWE are now willing to take a chance on the old school wrestling manager gimmick once more, at least on the red brand, where Paul Bearer has recently returned. Insiders have speculated that Mitchell may be used in a non manger role.

>>> The WWE production budget for Raw in particular has almost doubled in recent months. The cost of producing a single episode of Raw in September 2007 was $485,000. The WWE receives $550,000 for each individual episode from the USA Network in a licensing agreement that is due to expire in October 2010. However the new Raw writers have been noticeable for booking big angles, that involve on location filming, special effects, stunt coordinators and at times, several actors. In a recent statement to shareholders, it was noted that the cost of producing the latest episode of Raw cost $750,000. The WWE is losing money, however Ratings have risen.

Since July 21st, Raw’s average rating has shot up. Raw in the last 3 months has averaged a 4.1. That’s equivalent to an average audience of 6 million viewers. Up until July, the WWE had been averaging a 3.5 on Monday nights, so is the loss incurred in producing Raw worth it? It depends. You see the WWE holds the rights to the show and in turn licences the show in more that 100 countries, so the WWE in the long run makes a hefty profit from the show. The ratings spike keeps USA happy and the WWE would be able to negotiate a higher price per episode in 2010 if the ratings stayed high. One would think the WWE will cut back going forward, but there is no sign of that happening any time soon.

>>> Speaking of Raw and production of the show, the WWE camera crew were seen filming on location near Wall Street in New York City this morning, Saturday, September 27, 2008. Obviously the area was quiet, as there is no trading on the weekend. Rumour has it, they were filming scene for a major angle involving JBL for this Mondays show. No information has been leaked, but JBL was snapped after landing at JFK Friday night. Speaking of filming for Raw, Monday night. Shane and Stephanie McMahon were spotted on location in the Hampton’s. The WWE were filming at a mansion, the very one used a few week back, where it was revealed to be the hiding place of Vince McMahon. The McMahon storyline has been pivotal to the red brands success in recent months and it appears the angle will progress further this Monday night.

>>> The Undertaker was backstage at SmackDown Friday night. Taker has been seen backstage more and more recently at WWE events. This further enforces the rumour that he is about to return. Taker has not been on TV since SummerSlam and has not been on a TV show since an appearance on SmackDown back in early June, some 4 months ago. Taker, who was recently drafted to Raw by Shane McMahon, is set to play a part in the ongoing McMahon, Kane, Bearer angle that has set viewing figure records in recent weeks.

RAW PREVIEW
SEPTEMBER 29. 2008.

The Summer is over and Fall has arrived, but things are just heating up on RAW. This Monday night the flagship broadcast arrives at The Ford Centre in Oklahoma and with just six days remaining until No Mercy this coming Sunday night, what will desperate men do in a bid to get the upper hand.

1 YEAR IN THE MAKING!!!
……………. ALL THAT WAS OLD ………. IS NEW AGAIN!

>>> HEARTBREAK FOR THE CHAMPION.

This Monday night the world heavyweight champion, CM Punk will go one on one with the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, in a none title match. With both men set to meet once again in six days time at No Mercy in the fatal four way match up for the title, what implications will this highly anticipated match up have on the outcome of Sunday’s main event? Unusually for the young champion, it appears as if it’s he, who has the most to prove. Untested and Undermined, CM Punk comes to Raw this Monday night with one thing on his mind and that is to defeat the legend that is Shawn Michaels and prove to his doubters that he deserves to be called champion. This match however is not just about the champion. After being pinned by CM Punk last Monday night in a tag team match, Shawn Michaels must even the score if he is to walk into No Mercy this Sunday and claim to be the showstopper, the main event and the icon of sports entertainment. With so much talk of the participants, one can’t forget Chris Jericho and his role this Monday night. Will a man, desperate to reclaim championship gold, turn his back on an opportunity to possibly take out one of his opponents for No Mercy? THIS IS A MATCH UP WHERE ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!

>>> “CENA… CENA … CENA ….”

A familiar chant that has echoed through every great arena and stadium the world over. The chant however has died down, missing for many weeks, but will we hear it once more this coming Sunday night at No Mercy? The answer it seems will be revealed this coming Monday night live on RAW, when the former world champion John Cena joins the show live via satellite from his home in West Newbury Massachusetts. The road to recovery has been arduous for John Cena, ever since that fateful night when he found himself the victim or an orchestrated hit and run attack in the parking lot of the Joe Louis Arena. Whilst Cena’s attacker remains undiscovered and free, Cena has been confined the hospital beds, chiropractors tables and doctors waiting rooms. The injustice of it all must be eating away at the happy go lucky champion. The question it seems is not whether Cena will return at No Mercy, but what kind of Cena will we get? The champ was here, but will he return once more Sunday night. WWE officials have admitted that they simply do not know. Cena has kept quiet for days, managing to drop of the radar of the wrestling world. This Monday night, once and for all, we get a definitive answer. WILL YOU BE COMPETING IN THE MAIN EVENT AT NO MERCY YES OR NO?

>>> AN UNHOLY UNION GOES UP IN FLAMES.

Disturbing, terrifying, shocking, repulsive, inhuman, are all words that could used to describe the events the have transpired in recent weeks involving Stephanie McMahon, Kane, Paul Bearer and numerous others. Two weeks ago on Raw, Stephanie McMahon seemingly in the company of only her family, her loved one’s, at a mystery mansion, was kidnapped and her brother Shane left a bloody mess thanks to the actions of a then unknown group. Just one week later, Paul Bearer revealed to Stephanie that he had tricked her, rejoining his only son Kane following his release from the mental institution. Along with the dastardly doctor Rodgers and a kidnapped minister, Paul Bearer set in motion a plan to marry his son to Vince McMahon’s baby girl in an effort to lay claim to WWE real estate. It can also be argued that the monster known as Kane was infatuated by Stephanie, in love with her even, in his own sick way. But as Stephanie herself told her future husband, love isn’t a one person thing, it doesn’t work like that. Bearer and Kane allowed her words to fall on deaf ears. Minutes later in an ancient, dilapidated chapel, Stephanie McMahon was forced into marriage, it was done. Following an altercation, Stephanie sent her new husband into doctor Rodgers, causing some one hundred candles to fall over, burning the wooden Chapel to the ground. STEPHANIE ESCAPED THE FIRE, BUT CAN SHE RUN FROM THE FIRES OF HELL… MONDAY.

>>> ALSO THIS MONDAY…

> Last Monday night on RAW during a tag team match up, Mickie James in an uncharacteristic move, turned her back on her alleged best friend Gail Kim, causing the team to face defeat. We have been asking the same question for weeks now, but just what has gotten into the head of Mickie James? Her erratic, uncharacteristic behaviour has lead many to believe that Mickie James has buckled under the pressure of trying to fill the shoes on one Trish Stratus all these years. We seek answers , as does the champion, Gail Kim. Maybe we’ll get them this Monday live on RAW.

> Nobody said that love was easy. In fact a famous singer once claimed that love was just a second hand emotion. Kelly Kelly claimed that her fling with Beth Phoenix was just a young woman experimenting, just like other girls her age do in college? But was this more than just fun, Beth seems to think so. Maybe we will never discover where this relationship could of ended up, thanks in part to one Jack Swagger, Raw’s newest superstar and Kelly Kelly’s home town boyfriend. A secret that has rocked Beth Phoenix to her very core. So what now? Well that’s another thing about love, it’s very unpredictable.

> Pat Patterson has not exactly made a great start, as he struggles to lead RAW in Shane McMahon’s absence. I guess a man can only do so much when trying to tend to a pot belly pig called Lilly all day. Last week Patterson did however make two decisions, granted he may not of realised it, but he did. Patterson signed Santino’s return match for this Monday night, as well as a tag team championship match up, pitting Priceless against Miz & Morrison. But you have to ask yourself, just how long more can Patterson be left in charge of RAW? Rumour has it, that Mr Patterson could be out of a job sooner, rather than later!!!

>>> CONFIRMED MATCH <<<

CHAMPION VS ICON
CM Punk VS Shawn Michaels.

HUGE TAG TEAM MATCH UP!
Batista & Rey Mysterio
VS Mark Henry & Evan Bourne

TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Priceless VS Morrison & The Miz

SANTINO VS ?????

Mickie James VS Jillian Hall

…. THIS PREVIEW LOOKS PACKED ……
BUT YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET!!!!!

RAW ….. THE BEST DRAMA ON TELEVISION!

This looks like another stacked edition of Raw, and the Punk/Michaels match is huge, although i wish you weren't doing it for reasons you'll find out soon enough. It's great how you've made Punk the underdog in the way, and i'm sure you're setting him up to prove a point. I know how you don't like to give away PPV matches on TV, but sometimes it has to be done.

The Unholly Alliance, or The Unholy Alliance as it should be spelt is another intriguing situation. Are Kane & Bearer alive? Of course, but i'm keen to see how it plays out.

Cena back should be good, but despite cracking the puzzle, i'm looking forward to see how it evolves. No one's going to believe it when they find out it's Mae Young that ran him over!

Edit: I also read the notes yesterday and wanted to comment, but i felt it might bump the thread up needlessly. The James Mitchell signing is quite interesting. He's a manager i like very much and could do wonders to get some young superstar over. He's a good addition Sean.

Despite missing the last couple of weeks of Raw, I'm pretty clued up on what's going on and very interested in this show.

The CM Punk/HBK main event looks great on paper, but I can't see you giving it a clean finish, with No Mercy just six days away. It's interesting though, as there's a lot of different ways it could end. Jericho will obviously play some sort of role.

Cena's little segment should be good if kept reasonably short. I don't expect we'll get a definitive answer from him, you'll probably leave it as a mystery going into No Mercy.

You still haven't pulled the trigger on the Undertaker/Kane feud I see. Still, it's being built well with this Stephanie angle and while it is a little out there, it's very intruiging. Looking forward to see what happens this week.

The rest of the show looks fairly standard, and this overall looks like an excellent go-home show ahead of No Mercy. Intruiging to say the least, with a lot of questions un-answered, and the debut of James Mitchell who I'm a big fan of. Not sure where he fits in though.

SmackDown! Feedback

Awesome opening promo by Heyman to kick off the show. He was brilliant on the mic, what he said about Hunter being afraid of Lesnar was awesome. I also really enjoyed that you brought up the fact that Lesnar's first feud in the WWE years ago was with Matt and Jeff, good stuff. Jeff was also very good, although I was hoping that he'd say a little more than just "I accept" when Lesnar threatened Matt. And in all of this, it seems as if you sort of hinted at a Matt turn. Brad did it before, and it might seem to be the case with you, as there were a few subtle shots at him here. Anyway, awesome start to the show, and I'm looking forward to Lesnar vs. Jeff.

Decent match between Hawkins and Primo. I was a little confused when I saw Hawkins and Ryder as Tag Champs, but then I remembered this isn't your old thread, where you had Kozlov and Umaga as champs. Anyway, Hawkins didn't look all that impressive against him, the biggest thing we saw him do was counter the Backstabber, but Primo looked very good. Solid win for him as he and his brother look for Tag gold.

Interesting interview with Chavo. Seemed very face-ish, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he'll do in order to make his family proud. I think I know what, but I'd by lying (hint hint) if I said I knew for sure.

That's it? Just Haas walking into the same locker Shelton's in? Definitely intruiged, there has to be more to this.

Thought that's what Chavo would pull off, classic Guerreros. Takes me back. Anyway, I thought Neely might've looked better than he should've against Chavo, especially since this was the time to show Chavo's character change. Knox coming out felt very random, although I'm sure it'll be explained. The other thing I didn't like about him showing up was that the timing was way off for it. First, this was Chavo's first match back with this character, and some in the crowd might still not have warmed up to him yet. Second, this was Chavo's first match back with this character, and by doing this, it took most of his momentum away. Third, I simply don't care much for Knox, and if people were to agree with Point #1, then they wouldn't care much for him either.

Interesting segment to set us off on a Shelton/Kennedy feud, but what happened to Haas? Onto the match. Very glad that you described Shannon as getting in some good offense, wouldn't want to burn his momentum after Unforgiven, and I was very surprised at what went down after the match. Brad did a great job in building up animosity between the two, so a great swerve here in having them team up again. Kennedy coming down for the save was also good, further hinting the upcoming US Title program. Good stuff here.

Great video package for Reid and Joe, really awesome. Very simple, but very awesome. I can't say I'm a fan of them, since I've never seen them work (and Reid's a druggie), but I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with them.

Great promo by both Kenny and Mick. Kenny really heeled it out here, even though I'm not a very big fan of his. He said a lot of great things, and the Street Fight at No Mercy should be especially brutal. Again, I didn't like that Mick just said "I accept", it needed a little more. But what he said after, about wanting pain, it was awesome. Quite possibly the best promo I've ever read from you, very powerful stuff that would really make a person regret wanting to go to war with him. The last line of commentary pertaining to this segment was also great, really told a story in those few words. Awesome stuff here, Kyle.

Solid match here between Zeke and London. I didn't really like that Kendrick was getting involved so often, it made it seem like Zeke wasn't totally capable of beating London. Nevertheless, this is a very big win for London on the way to No Mercy, and surely Kendrick will want to halt his momentum. The match between these two should be a great one.

Great segment between MVP and Show. The part with the women was spot on, and I liked the exchange between the two. MVP was great here, from his attitude to his sneak attack with the brass knuckles, which I really feel should've put Show out. It happened at 'Mania, so it seems a little odd that it didn't here. I get why you did it, though, you wanted to keep Show awake so he can continue chasing MVP, which was good. Great stuff here.

I really hope you don't give the title to Umaga, I find him very boring, but this certainly presented an interesting scenario.

Hmmm. Good match to showcase how dominant Lesnar is, and how resourceful Jeff is. The thing that caused me to go "Hmmm" is that Matt wanted to throw in the towel for Jeff. More hints at a turn? Maybe he and Lesnar are in cahoots, because he seemed to go down a little too easy when he and Jeff teamed up. Sure is an interesting set-up, and I'm looking forward to what happens next with the Hardys. Huge win for Jeff here, but I doubt he'll take the WWE Title. Good stuff overall.

Great first show, Kyle, would've made Brad proud. Got some solid match-ups, stuff to look forward to next week, strong segments, and the best promo I think you've written with Mick. You did a good job in building up your part of No Mercy, and it certainly seems that you'll be a valuable addition to this thread if you keep up the quality work. Great job overall, man, 8.5/10.

Interesting that you're giving us Punk vs Michaels on free to air. Should be an amazing match, though there will probably be a screwy finish with Jericho getting involved. On the No Mercy theme, if Cena doesn't compete we riot.

This Kane storyline feels like I'm watching an episode of Neighbours. All very dramaesque (yes, I'm making up words ), though it should be interesting to see where you go next with it.

The women's stuff is all good. I'm glad to see you're featuring them as well as ever, not just restricting the division to a one storyline maximum thanks to someone winning a multi-woman match.

Review might come a bit late since I have quite a few to do, but I'll get one up, promise.

September 29. 2008.
The Ford Center, Oklahoma.

WWE RAW “The best drama on television” VIDEO AIRS.

[BACKSTAGE]

>>> The camera moves through the backstage area, navigating its way through members of the production team and various WWE officials, until it arrives at a large, black, double door. The camera mans hand comes into shot. He pushes the door open and we find ourselves in the underground parking lot.

Cole: I have no idea what’s going on right now.

Lawler: Why the heck are we in the parking lot?

*Sound of a car engine*

*Growing louder*

>>> A long black limo comes into shot and eventually comes to a stop right outside the backstage entrance to the arena.

*Driver door opens*

>>> The driver steps out, dressed in a tailored grey suit with matching cap. He walks to the back of the limo to the passenger door.

Cole: Who could be inside the limo?

King: I bet it’s Shane or Stephanie McMahon. Maybe even Vince!!!

>>> The driver opens the passenger door.

*Long Pause*

>>> Vickie Guerrero steps out with a huge smile on her face.

***BOOS FROM WITHIN THE ARENA***

Cole: I don’t believe it! What the hell is Vickie Guerrero doing here on Raw?

Lawler: We’re live and when you’re live anything can happen Michael!!!

Vickie: (To the driver) You can go now, I’ll call for you later when I need you. I plan on staying a while.

>>> With that Vickie walks towards the backstage entrance door.

*Fade to Black*

THE RAW OPENING CREDITS AIR

[ARENA LIVE]

>>> Pyro explodes in and around the Raw entrance ramp as the lights come up and the Raw theme music begins to filter into the arena. The fans come to their feet, yelling enthusiastically as the camera takes in a shot of the sold out arena. As is the norm, the camera zooms in on several posters being held up by the fans. One poster reads “Steph…. rough wedding night?” whilst another reads “Shane McMahon = player.”

[ANNOUNCE TABLE]

>>> Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole are seated behind the Raw announce table. The crowd begin to quieten down.

Cole: Welcome everybody to Monday night Raw. We thank you for joining us tonight on what has already proven to be a shocking evening! We are live from the Ford Centre in Oklahoma and I ask you Jerry Lawler, why is Vickie Guerrero here tonight?

Lawler: I have absolutely no idea Michael. The last time we saw Vickie Guerrero she was over on Smackdown, where she quit as general manager. I didn’t think I’d ever see Vickie Guerrero back in the WWE and what’s more, I never wanted too.

Cole: I’m sure we’ll find out more as the night progresses. Ladies and gentle coming up momentarily, it will be Batista and Rey Mysterio taking on the team of Mark Henry and Evan Bourne. With No Mercy just six days away, this match could prove to be most important.

Lawler: And how about our main event tonight. The world champion CM Punk goes one on one with the heartbreak kid Shawn Michaels in a non title match up. You talk about important Michael, this match up could make or break the champion just six days from No Mercy.

Cole: Both men have something to prove in that one, no doubt about it. Also tonight for the first time since his horrific accident, John Cena will be appearing on Raw live via satellite from his home in West Newbury Massachusetts.

Lawler: I can’t wait to hear what Cena has to say. Maybe we’ll find out tonight whether or not John Cena will be competing in the world title match at No Mercy this Sunday live on PPV!!!

[MATCH #1] - Batista & Rey Mysterio VS Mark Henry & Evan Bourne -

FINISH: This match up has been intense and physically demanding right from the get go. With No Mercy just six days away, all four men have been out to get an early advantage heading into their respective matches this Sunday. Rey Mysterio now finds himself standing in the middle of the ring with the worlds strongest man, Mark Henry, standing before him. Henry bangs his chest with clenched fists and shouts at his much smaller opponent, Rey Mysterio, to “bring it.” Rey hit’s the ropes and comes at Henry, who swings for Rey. Mysterio baseball slides through the open legs of Henry and hit’s the apposing ring ropes, coming off with a high drop kick to the upper back of the world strongest man. Mark Henry barely moves from the spot and turns around to face Rey. Rey dives at Mark Henry, delivering rights and lefts. Henry swats Rey away with his right arm, sending the masked warrior rolling across the ring. Evan Bourne is on the apron watching this and has a big smile on his face. Rey immediately gets back up to his feet and charges at Mark Henry once more, but this time around Henry catches Rey with a boot to the face, laying him out on the canvas. Henry slowly drops to the canvas and covers Rey. 1 ………… 2 .…………….. NO! Rey kicks out to a huge cheer from the sold out crowd.

Rey instinctively begins to crawl towards his corner, moving very slowly. Mark Henry gets to his feet, watching Rey crawl across the ring, allowing it to happen. Batista, like a caged animal about to be set free, is jumping up and down on the apron, shouting words of encouragement to Mysterio and stretching his arm out as far as it can go. Just as Mysterio is about to make the tag, Mark Henry drops an elbow across Rey’s lower back, stopping him dead. Henry gets to his feet and finds himself face to face with Batista, the referee stands between both men. Mark starts to bad mouth the Animal. Batista attempts to enter the ring and the referee turns his back to the action as it were, in an effort to keep Batista out on the apron. Evan Bourne, who has retrieved a chair from ringside, slides into the ring. With the referee distracted, Mark Henry grabs Rey by both arms and holds him in the air. Bourne prepares to swing the chair, but Mysterio, at the last minutes manages to escape Henry’s grasp. Bourne swings the steel chair, aiming it at Rey’s skull. Mysterio ducks and dropkicks the chair into Bourne’s face and he falls backward, through the ring ropes and out to the floor. Rey picks up the steel chair and swings it, hitting Mark Henry square between the eyes. Henry falls to one knee. The referee turns and doesn’t see Rey dumb the chair over the top rope. Rey tumbles into his corner and tags in Batista to an almighty roar from the crowd. Mark Henry is up to his feet and stumbling across the ring.

Batista spins him around and unloads with a right hand, then another and another, until The Animal has the worlds strongest man up against the ring ropes. Batista continues to hammer away at Henry, but the referee steps in and attempts to retrain the Animal. With Batista arguing with the referee Mark Henry steps to the outside, where Evan Bourne is laying, totally out of it following a chair shot. Mark Henry picks Evan Bourne up off of the floor and lays him on the aprons edge. The referee sees what is going on. Mark slaps the palm of his hand on Bourne’s back, effectively tagging him into the match up. Henry then rolls Bourne under the bottom rope, like a zoo keeper, feeding a lion. Henry then proceeds to walk away from the ring. Meanwhile in the ring, Batista is circling his prey. A disorientated Evan Bourne rises to his feet. Batista charges across the ring. SPEAR………. SPEAR………….. SPEAR……….. Batista makes the cover. 1.…………. 2.…………….. NO! Bourne kicks out. Batista looks genuinely surprised ,as do the fans. Batista quickly gets to his feet, more angry now than before. He lifts Bourne’s ravaged body up off of the canvas, kicks him in the stomach and shoves Bourne’s head between his legs. BATISTA BOMB!!!!!!!!!! Batista covers once again ……………… 1.……………. 2.…………….. 3!!!!!!!!!!! BATISTA AND MYSTERIO WIN.

AFTERMATH: Batista’s music begins to play. Rey Mysterio enters the ring and he embraces his tag team partner. After a couple of seconds, Mysterio walks toward a motionless Evan Bourne, who is now being tended to by officials. Mysterio looks down at Bourne, contented by his enemies fall from grace.

Cole: What a way to start off Raw here tonight. Batista and Rey Mysterio have triumphed, but will that be the case in six days time at No Mercy?

Lawler: Well I don’t know about that Michael. Evan Bourne kicked out of a spear following a devastating chair shot earlier in the match. Does Rey Mysterio have the weapons to put away a guy as resilient as Evan Bourne this Sunday on PPV?

Cole: Mark Henry and Batista were both standing at the end of this match up, but who’ll be left standing this Sunday, The animal or the worlds strongest man? Judging by Batista’s performance tonight, my money is on the Animal at No Mercy this Sunday, live only on PPV!

[BACKSTAGE]

>>> Pat Patterson is in the general managers office. Lilly, his pet pot belly pig is sitting on floor. Lilly has a pink ribbon tied around her neck. Patterson is flicking through WWE magazine. Suddenly a big smile spreads across his face.

*Jumps to his feet*

Patterson: (Beaming) Lilly ……… Lilly look, look at this.

>>> Patterson opens up the magazine in front of Lilly, revealing a feature on himself in the magazine accompanied by a large picture.

Patterson: I can’t believe it, I’m in WWE magazine.

>>> The smile drops from Patterson face as he pulls the magazine closer. He looks the picture up and down.

*Door opening*

*Woman’s Scream*

Patterson: (Startled) What the heck……..

>>> Patterson jumps to his feet and turns around to find a horrified Vickie Guerrero standing in the doorway of the general managers office.

*Squeal*

>>> Lilly, terrified by the high pitched scream, stands up and trots across the floor and disappears into the restroom. Patterson rises to his feet.

Patterson: (Annoyed) You scared her! What are you doing here anyways?

Vickie: What am I doing here, what the hell was that thing doing in here. This is no place for animals, especially disgusting, smelly ones like that.

Patterson: (Angry now) Hang on just one minute there missy.

>>> Vickie strides past Patterson, snatching the WWE magazine out of his hands as she goes. She walks over to Patterson’s desk and sits behind it.

Vickie: (Looking at the magazine) They should of airbrushed you, you look huge!

Patterson: (horrified) The camera adds ten pounds! ……… (pause) ……….. Anyway, that’s rich coming from you!

Vickie: What’s that suppose to mean?

Patterson: Well lets just say ……….

Vickie: (Cuts Pat off) Just shut up, I’ve heard enough. I can’t believe Shane McMahon hired you, let alone put you in charge. I’ve been here five minutes and I can already see why the WWE board called me up yesterday!

Patterson: (confused) What are you talking about?

Vickie: Did you really think they were going to leave you in charge of Raw? I mean you’re an idiot Pat! A senile old fool who should be playing checkers in a home, not running Raw.

*** BOOS FROM WITHIN THE ARENA***

>>> Patterson looks upset, not knowing what to do. Vickie throws the WWE magazine on the floor and Patterson quickly picks it up.

Vickie: (Sneers) You’re pathetic. (Stands up) As of right now I’m in control of Raw!

*** BOOS FROM WITHIN THE ARENA***

Vickie: And I will stay in control until Shane McMahon’s return. They offered me so much money, I just couldn’t refuse. (Grins)

Pat: (Upset) What about me!

Vickie: (Rolls her eyes) Unfortunately I can’t fire you, not yet anyway…. So you can have your old job back, but I’m warning you, put one foot wrong and I’ll have your ass fired so fast you won’t know what hit you.

Patterson: (Under his breath) I wish Shane was back……

Vickie: Now you’re suppose to assist me, right?

Patterson: I guess…….

Vickie: Well I know, so go get me sandwich and make it fast!

Patterson: What kind of sandwich?

>>> Lilly, obviously after regaining her composure, exit’s the restroom and returns to the general managers office. Vickie Guerrero turns and glares at Lilly with disgust.

Vickie: Ham! I want a ham sandwich!

*Evil laugh*

*Patterson looks horrified*

[UNDISCLOSED LOCATION]

>>> A room devoid of light but for the moon, which shines bright in the sky and is visible through a tiny window.

*Muffled Voices in the distance*

>>> The creaking of a rocking chair echoes through the murky surroundings. Depression hangs in the air, so heavy that it’s almost suffocating. A strong gale gets knocked back by the window pane, causing the glass to buckle.

*Footsteps*

*Door opening*

>>> As the door opens, we get a glimmer of a familiar, pure white hallway. As light floods the room a recognizable voice cuts through silence.

Kane: (shouts) CLOSE THE DOOR.

*Door slams shut*

*Footsteps still*

>>> Paul Bearer has entered the room and is now standing in front of the tiny window, looking out at the night. For the first time we get to look through the window at the surrounding area, not just up at the sky. There is a graveyard just outside the window. The headstones are ancient, most of them are crumbling. The graves themselves are overgrown.

*Creaking stops*

*Movement in the background*

>>> The camera shot reverts from the interior surroundings to the exterior surroundings. We are now on the outside looking through the window where Paul Bearer is standing. The camera turns and moves away from the window, navigating it’s way through the graveyard until we find ourselves an enormous pile of blackened wood, the scene of a wedding and of a fire seven night previous.

*Interior*

>>> We are back inside the dark, unknown space. Paul Bearer turns away from the window and looks into the darkness.

Paul: (Extremely upset) Kane my son, my only son. My flesh and blood. I beg of you, leave, leave this place, this room.

*Eerie silence*

Paul: We can’t stay here Kane, it’s far too dangerous. We need to get away, for now.

Kane: Is the doctor here?

Paul: Not yet, but soon, he’s on his way. This room, this room is filled with horrible memories, it’s not good for you son..

Kane: This is where my mother was laid the day before they buried her. That church is where they had the funeral…

Paul: But she’s not here Kane. Just the bad memories are here. She was laid to rest far, far from here, but we can go there. I need you to come with me and leave this place.

Kane: Who am I?

Paul: My son… you’re my son.

Kane: (shouts) NO, NO, NO. I’m a monster, she’s made me a monster again.

Paul: And she’ll pay for her sins. She’ll rule the day she did this to you, to us.

*Footsteps*

Kane: The pain, I feel the pain. My entire body burns and my mind screams, screams for revenge, for retribution. She must pay for doing this to me.

*Footsteps*

Kane: My bride……..

*Footsteps*

Kane: My love……

*Footsteps*

Kane: My creator…..

>>> Kane steps in front of the window next to his father. We get a shot of his upper body from the back. His arms and entire upper torso are covered in red and black material, identical to costume he wore on first entering the WWE.

*Exterior shot*

>>> We are now in the graveyard. The camera slowly moves around to face the window, where Kane stands next to Paul Bearer, his face covered entirely with a black and red mask.

Lady: Cleaning…….. Hello.

>>> There is no response, so the cleaning lady opens the door and pushes her trolley into the large dressing room which appears to be completely deserted.

Lady: Is there anybody in here?

>>> Again there is no response so the young women begins to tidy up the room. She walks into the bathroom and picks up a small trash can and turns to empty it into a larger trash can which is attached to her trolley. As the women empties out the trash can something falls to the floor. The women turns and looks to the floor.

[MATCH #2] - TAG TEAM TM : Priceless VS Morrison & The Miz -

FINISH: This has been a competitive match up thus far with both teams dominating proceeding at separate junctures in the match up. The crowd, as they have been during both singles match ups in recent weeks, are unsure of who to root for, given the fact that there are two heel teams competing. John Morrison and The Miz, maybe due to their popularity on the web, seem to be the more popular team here. The Miz and Cody Rhodes are in the ring and Cody has a sleeper hold locked in on the self proclaimed chick magnet. The Miz drops to one knee and in an uncharacteristic move, John Morrison turns to the fans, clapping his hands and asking them to get into this match and encourage The Miz. He has little success. As The Miz drops to both knees and appears to be fading, John Morrison takes matters into his own hands. Morrison jumps over the top rope and delivers and dropkick to the face of Cody Rhodes. This causes Cody to break the hold as he falls onto the canvas. The referee begins to force John Morrison back into his corner. Ted DiBiase enters the ring illegally and nails the Miz with a right hand before delivering a backbreaker. With the referees back still facing him, DiBiase grabs Cody by the arms, dragging him into their corner. As the referee returns to the centre of the ring, and watches as Cody makes the tag to his partner. DiBiase enters the ring and immediately goes after The Miz, who is up to his feet, but heavily favouring his lower back. Morrison is shouting at The Miz to make the tag, but before he has the opportunity to do so, DiBiase levels him with a clothesline.

With The Miz down on the canvas, DiBiase begins to work on his back, dropping him knee on the Miz’s spine repeatedly. DiBiase makes the cover. 1.……………. 2.…………….. NO! The Miz gets his shoulder up. Dibaise slowly gets to his feet and begins to circle The Miz. As the Miz gets to his feet, DiBiase locks in the cobra clutch……… DREAM STREET ……….. The Miz is out of it!!! DiBiase covers……… 1.…………….. 2.……………. NO! Morrison kicks DiBiase in the head breaking up the count. Cody Rhodes enters the ring with head full of steam and charges at John Morrison, taking him down to the canvas. Both men brawl on the canvas and end up rolling off the aprons edge to the floor. The Miz is slowly back to his feet and DiBiase is preparing to lock in the million dollar dream. The Miz is up. DiBiase goes for it. The Miz catches DiBiase with an elbow in the face and turns, kicks DiBiase in the gut and attempts a DDT. Mid move, DiBiase grabs onto the top rope. The Miz’s head smacks off of the canvas. On the outside, Cody sends Morrison into the steel steps. The Miz is back up to a vertical base. DiBiase nails him with a right hand and hooks the Miz up for a suplex. Both men are standing next to the ropes. The Miz blocks the attempt and counters. As The Miz lifts DiBiase in the air for the suplex, Rhodes, who is on the floor, takes Miz’s legs out from under him. DiBiase lands across The Miz in a pinning position. As the referee makes the count, Rhodes slides under the bottom ropes and holds down The Miz’s feet. 1 .…………….. 2 .……………. 3!!!!

AFTERMATH: Rhodes renters the ring and he and DiBiase begin to celebrate. The fans are now firmly on the side of Miz and Morrison who opted not to cheat in this title match up. The Miz is protesting the outcome with the official, explaining how Cody Rhode interfered from outside the ring. John Morrison is now back up on the apron, unsure of what just happened.

Cole: The champions stole a victory here and in my opinion, they’re lucky to be still holding the tag team title belts.

Lawler: They won, that’s all that matters Michael Cole. Ten years from now, when we look at the history books, it will read winner, not what type of winner, just winner.

>>> In The ring, The Miz and John Morrison jump Rhodes and DiBiase from behind and a brawl breaks out. The Miz is taking it to Cody Rhodes with rights and lefts, while DiBiase and Morrison trade blows in the corner.

Cole: All hell has broken loose here!!!

**** BROOKLYN BROOKLYN****

**HUGE POP**

Lawler: What the heck???

>>> Shad and JTG, Cryme Tyme, race down the ramp and slide into the ring. With all four men in the ring exhausted from participating in a hard fought tag team match up, Cryme Tyme find little effort in discarding of all four men from the ring!!!

Cole: Cryme Tyme have come out here to make a point and that point is, we’re still in the hunt for the tag team titles.

Lawler: Cryme Tyme just told the tag team champions as well as John Morrison and The Miz that they better watch out, because Cryme Tyme are back and they want to be the tag team champions of the world!

[BACKSTAGE]

>>> Santino Marella appears to be doing squats in a very dark, badly lit room. Obviously Santino is warming up for his big match up later on tonight!

*Corridor*

>>> A very downbeat Pat Patterson, with his head hung low, is plodding along the corridor with Lilly, who is now wearing a pink collar to which a leash is attached.

Patterson: Don’t you listen to that mean old witch Lilly. She’s not going to eat you, I promise. We just need to find somewhere to hide.

>>> Patterson begins to take in his surroundings and eventually spots the janitors closet. He walks over and opens the door and to his surprise he finds Santino Marella inside.

*Light comes on*

Santino: ‘Wat’ ’dee’ hell are you ’ah’ doing?

>>> Patterson and Lilly enter the closet, shutting the door behind them.

Patterson: I’m sorry, I’m sorry. You don’t expect to walk in on someone when you enter the Janitors closet.

Santino: You ’ah’ crazy old man, get out of ‘ah’ here.

Patterson: We can’t go, we’re hiding.

Santino: ’Der’ is no ’ah’ we, ’der’ is ’ah; you and ’ah’ pig. Now you ‘ah must ‘ah’ get out of my dressing room. I have ‘ah’ big match to prepare for, remember?

>>> Patterson looks around at the tiny space, filled with cleaning products and brooms.

Patterson: What dressing room? This is a closet a dirty old janitors closet at that.

>>> Santino drops his head, looking embarrassed.

Santino: (Sad) ‘Dey’ would not give ‘ah’ me my own ‘ah’ dressing room. ‘Dis’ will have to ‘ah’ do. When I win my big ‘ah’ match tonight, ‘den’ I, Santino Marella, will have ‘ah’ my choice of ‘ah’ dressing rooms.

Patterson: (Upset) Well I’m not going anywhere, Vickie Guerrero wants to eat Lilly and I can’t let that happen.

>>> Santino scrunches up his face. He looks around the room, sniffing.

Santino: Oh my ‘ah’ God, ‘wat’ is ‘ah’ ‘dat’ smell’?

Patterson: Oh no……..

Santino: It was ‘ah’ ‘dat’ filty, disgusting pig. It pooped in ‘ah’ my dressing room.

Patterson: This almost never happens. She’s just nervous about being eaten. If someone threatened to eat you, you’d poop too!!!

Santino: (Shouting) Get out, get out now before I ‘ah’ throw you out.

>>> Patterson opens the janitor’s closet door and he and Lilly quickly exit. As Patterson and Lilly shuffle down the hallway, Santino also exit’s the closet, holding his nose.

Santino:(Shouts) You ‘ah’ better run. But don’t ‘ah’ you worry, ‘cause’ I’m ‘ah’ goin’ get you and ‘ah’ you ‘ah’ little pig too.

[UNDISCLOSED LOCATION]

>>> The shimmering glass of a high rise building stretches into the sky, so high that it almost appears to be touching the clouds that are scattered scarcely across the orange sky. Dusk.

*Interior*

>>> The camera is positioned in front of an elevator door. The door is framed in black marble which mirrors the design of the marble floor.

*BING*

>>> The elevator door opens and a group of well dressed men and women, all carrying briefcases, step out. Among the many faces, one face stands out from the rest. There, clutching a black designer purse, dressed in a designer suit, stands Melina, looking rather nervous. She is the last to exit the elevator. As she steps out she turns right. Before her there is what appears to be a never ending corridor, with doors dotted on either side, the whole way down. Melina walks on.

*Cut away shot*

>>> The camera shot is now focused on the New York skyline. The Empire State building stands proudly in the distance. We are looking out of a window, many floors up. Reflections of men in suits, impressive looking furniture and red carpet splinters our view.

Familiar Voice: (shouting) Late, fifteen minutes late. I’m a busy man gentlemen, this is unacceptable.

>>> The camera spins around to reveal a shot of JBL, who is seated at an enormous boardroom table. To his left and to his right sit sombre looking gentlemen, dressed in tailored suits. JBL too is dressed in business attire as well as his characteristic cowboy hat.

JBL: It still baffles me how you two idiots went as far as to arrange a meeting with somebody that I don’t even know. I don’t know there name, why they want to meet me, why the hell I’m even here. I must of lost my God damn mind!

Colleague: With all due respect, they did say it was of the utmost importance to you.

JBL: (Irate)Why hell Bill, any Tom, Dick or Harry could use that line. I have enemies man, meeting a mystery man makes me come out in a sweat and that doesn’t bode well for a ten thousand dollar suit.

>>> Both advisers suddenly rise to their feet.

JBL: (Confused) What the hell are you two doing now?

Bill: This is your mess, you deal with it.

>>> JBL jumps to his feet, furious.

JBL: My mess! My mess! Are you out of your tiny minds. You set up this meeting, not me, and now you’re bailing on me?

2nd Colleague: Mr Bradshaw, this goes beyond our job description, in fact Bill and I have been working outside of our job descriptions for some months now. The WWE and your willingness for revenge has taken over every aspect of your personal and business life and for that reason, we quit.

>>> Both men walk toward the door and leave. JBL stands there, with his mouth wide open, shocked and unable to speak.

*Door Slamming*

>>> JBL takes a seat at the boardroom table once more and this time is rotates his chair so that he is facing the expansive glass window, looking out at the New York skyline as the night fast approaches.

JBL: (To himself) Who the hell could it be?

*Door opens*

>>> JBL spins around in his chair and there before him stands Melina. JBL stands up, he looks perplexed as Melina walks past him without uttering a word. Melina stands in front of the wall of glass, looking out at New York, conjuring up images of last week when she stood alone in a LA penthouse looking down at LA at night.

Melina: Day and night. Light and dark. That’s what this is!

JBL: (Confused) Could you please tell me why the hell you’re here, I have a very important appointment and you being here is not an option.

>>> Melina turns, a huge smile on her face.

Melina: Take a seat honey, I am your appointment!!!

*Fade to Black*

[MATCH #3] - Mickie James VS Jillian -

FINISH: Mickie James, on receiving a mixed reaction from the crowd during her entrance, has been erratic to say the least. Unable to cope with the booing, she has become distracted on numerous occasion since the bell rang, at one stage exiting the ring and getting into a verbal altercation with several Gail Kim fans at ringside. With Mickie finally back in the ring, Jillian Hall steps out of the corner, where she has watched Mickie’s meltdown on the outside of the ring. Jillian seems unsure of how to approach the situation. Mickie is at the ropes, looking out at the crowd and screams “love me, love me, why don’t you love me.” Jillian seizes the opportunity and sneaks up behind Mickie, rolling her up into a pinning combination. 1.…………. 2.……………. NO!!! To her credit Mickie powers out. This move by Jillian Hall appears to have angered Mickie James and for the first in the match she rises to her feet focused and connects with a solid right hand to the face of Hall. Mickie sends Jillian into the corner with an Irish whip and follows in behind with a clothesline, knocking the wind out of Jillian. Jillian stumble out of the corner and Mickie catches her with a kick to the gut and hooks her up and connects with an inverted DDT. Mickie makes the cover ……………. 1.…………… 2.……………. 3!!! MICKIE WINS IT.

AFTERMATH: Mickie gets to her feet and as her music hits she reverts back to the familiar Mickie James we once knew and loved, smiling and waving at the crowd as if nothing had ever happened. The crowd are still split down the middle. Mostly it’s the older fans who are cheering for the new Mickie James.

Cole: I just don’t get it, one minute she’s a complete psycho and the next, she’s perfectly normal, smiling and waving to the WWE fans.

Lawler: She reminds me of my ex wife…

Cole: Oh yeah, which one?

*** GAIL KIM WALKS ONTO THE STAGE****

*MICKIES MUSIC CUTS OUT*

>>> Gail Kim is holding a microphone in her hand. She receives a decent pop from the crowd. Mickie seems positively overcome with joy as she waves at Gail with a big smile on her face and actions for Gail to come and join her in the ring.

Gail: Mickie, I don’t know what the hell has happened to you, but I do know that I don’t want any part of it. You’re crazy!!!

*pop*

>>> The smile fades from Mickie’s face and she stops jumping up and down. She looks out at the crowd, the very crowd she berated in full voice minutes earlier, with a look of confusion on her face.

Gail: Mickie, you need to see someone, you need to get help because whatever you’re going through right now, it’s not normal.

>>> Mickie is looking up at Gail asking her what’s she talking about, clearly forgetting, or choosing to forget about her own actions last week.

Gail: Really, I wanted to help you, I truly did. But after that stunt you pulled last week, well that just made me want to kick your ass all over this arena tonight.

*pop*

Gail: But deep down I believe you can no longer control your emotions and your actions That’s why I’m choosing to take the higher ground right now. But listen to me Mickie and listen real good. I’m not your friend. Stay the hell away from me because the next time I won’t be so forgiving.

*pop*

*Gail’s music hits*

>>> Gail stays on the stage for a few minutes, choosing to completely ignore Mickie. Instead she waves to the fans before making her exit. Mickie is now on her knees next to the ropes, staring up at the stage, tears in her eyes, a completely shattered women.

Mickie: (whispering) You’re my best friend, my best friend…………

[ANNOUNCE TABLE]

>>> Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler are seated behind the desk, preparing to do a piece to camera.

*Music cuts out*

Cole: Welcome back to Monday night Raw. Still to come here tonight the world champion CM Punk goes one on one with none other than the showstopper, HBK, Shawn Michaels.

Lawler: However right now, we’re set to be joined by John Cena live via satellite from his home in West Newbury, Massachusetts.

*Cut to big screen*

>>> John Cena’s music hits and he appears on the big screen.

*BIG POP*

>>> Cena is wearing a neck brace. The music dies down and as the Cena fans look up at the screen and realize their beloved hero is sitting there in a neck brace, they fall silent. The camera pans around ringside, singling out young Cena fans in particular and focusing in on their worried little face, creating a great visual effect.

Cole: John, thank you so much for joining us here tonight on Raw, it’s great to see you.

Cena: (smiles) Glad to be here, I just wish I could be there in person and not sitting at home having to watch the show, when I want to be in the show.

Lawler:OK John, lets cut to the chace….

Cena: Just before we do that Jerry, I want to personally thank all my amazing fans for there unbelievable support over the last few weeks. You guys are amazing!!

*POP*

Lawler: From this noise in this arena right now they think you’re amazing too.

Cole: As Jerry said, it’s time to ask the questions we’ve all been waiting to hear the answer to. Are you going to be at No Mercy this Sunday and are you going to compete for the world title against CM Punk…..

*BOOS*

Cole: Shawn Michaels……..

*POP*

Cole: and Chris Jericho…….

*MAJOR HEAT*

Cena: That’s a tricky question. You see John Cena loves to compete and yes I’m going to be at No Mercy on Sunday…..

*MASSIVE CHEER*

Cena: However…….. (pause) ……… The doctors have not cleared me to wrestle.

*BOOS*

Cena: But hey, I have six days and I’m going to do everything in my power to get into that ring and compete for the world heavyweight title this Sunday at No Mercy!

Lawler: That’s great news John, but I have another question for you. You said that you never once saw the person who put you out of action. A mystery person if you will or as the WWE Universe has been calling him, THE MYSTERY ATTACKER!!!

*BOOS*

Cena: (serious) The mystery attacker huh! Well let me tell you something, as of right now, detective Cena is beginning an investigation and I plan on solving the mystery. As of tonight, all three WWE locker rooms are on notice because from Sunday, no matter what, John Cena is back in the WWE and I plan on kicking a whole lot of ass in order to get the answers I need!

*POP*

*CENA’S MUSIC HITS*

Cole: There you heard it folks. John Cena will return at No Mercy in one form or another and he’s put the entire WWE locker room on notice. John Cena has promised to solve the mystery of the mystery attacker and he plans on doing it at any cost!

[BACKSTAGE]

>>> Vickie Guerrero is sitting at her desk in the general managers office flicking through some sheets of paper when Jack swagger walks in with a huge grin on his face. Vickie continues reading something and doesn’t acknowledge Swagger.

*Coughs*

>>> Vickie looks up from the papers and stares at Swagger, puzzled.

Vickie: Who the hell are you?

>>> Kelly Kelly comes running through the door and stands next to Swagger.

Vickie: Oh now I remember.

Jack: Vickie, I’ve come here tonight because I have something to prove. I want to prove that I have what it takes to be a WWE superstar here on Raw and in order to do that, I need you to grant me a match up tonight!

Vickie: When I was general manager of Smackdown, certain individuals had the audacity to call me unfair.

Jack: I wasn’t one of those people Mrs Guerrero.

>>> Kelly Kelly throws her eyes to heaven following the remark.

Vickie: I’m glad to hear it, because I consider myself to be a very fair person, however I can not grant you a match up tonight. I mean look at the time, there is nobody left in the building who would be prepared to wrestle you tonight.

Jack: (Disappointed) That’s a fair point. So how about next week?

Vickie: Next week it is.

*Door opening*

>>> Kelly and Jack turn around to see The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix standing before them, dressed in full wrestling attire.

Beth: I’m here and I’m prepared. I’ll fight you tonight in the ring!!!

Kelly: (horrified) What! NO. No that’s not going to happen Beth.

>>> Jack Swagger is doubled over laughing. After catching his breath he lifts his head. Beth takes two steps forward and levels Swagger with a solid right hand.

Vickie: (shouting) Hey, cut that out. This is an office, not a wrestling ring.

Kelly: (To Beth) What are doing. Have you lost your mind?

Beth: Maybe I have.

Swagger: (furious) What the hell is your problem butch? You’ve been a bitch to me from day one. Is there something I don’t know?

Beth: There’s a lot you don’t know. For starters…….

Kelly: (Cutting in) Beth, there’s not going to be a match, just go. Please go.

>>> Vickie Guerrero looks to be angered by these comments and rises to her feet.

Vickie: I’m in charge around here, not you Blondie. Now as I was telling Jack here Beth, I’m a very fair person and I’m all for equality, so if you think you can wrestle a man, who am I to stand in your way. Tonight one on one, live in the ring it will be Jack Swagger in his debut match against Beth Phoenix!

>>> Beth smiles and stares at Swagger who is still fuming. Kelly Kelly looks to be devastated by Vickie’s decision. Beth turns and leaves as Vickie sits back down at her desk.

Jack: (To Kelly) Lets go……..

>>> Jack grabs Kelly by the wrist and drags her out of the general mangers office.

[MATCH #4] - Jamie Noble vs. Santino Marella -

FINISH: To the surprise of many, including Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler, Santino has performed extremely well since the bell sounded, taking it to Nobel and dominating the proceedings. The crowd is very much behind Santino, something that he did not anticipate, judging from his reaction. Santino takes Noble to the canvas with a headlock, locked in. Santino shouts at Nobel on the canvas, telling him to “give it up you ‘ah’ stupid farm boy.” Noble, who has received zero reaction from the crowd, turns heel somewhat by raking Santino in the eyes, casing him to break the hold. Santino gets to his feet and reverts to his comedic persona somewhat by running around the ring claiming that he has gone blind. Noble watches on bemused, but after a few seconds he has seen enough. Santino is really playing up the impaired vision gag, with arms outstretched, wobbling to and fro and pretending to feel around for Noble. With a cocky smile on his face, Noble approaches Santino, standing right in front of him. Santino does nothing at first, as if he actually can’t see Nobel. Then suddenly, Santino grabs Noble and traps him in a small package, 1.……………. 2.…………. 3!!! SANTINO WINS.

Aftermath: Santino quickly rolls under the bottom rope, elated as his music begins to play. Noble sits in the centre of the ring, his face buried in his hands. Santino races around the ring, playing the air trumpet and shouting “I am ‘ah’ ‘dee’ man.” The fans are loving it.

Cole: Santino Marella just outsmarted somebody……. I can’t believe it!

Lawler: don’t give him to much credit, it was Jamie Noble after all.

Cole: Well you have a point there. Still, Santino Marella returns to the ring victorious. Who knows what’s next for Santino, world champion? (laughing)

Lawler: Don’t get carried away Michael. It’s just one match. Although looking at Santino right now, you’d think he’d just won the world title. What an idiot.

[New York]

>>> Melina and JBL are seated at opposite end of the huge boardroom table, eyes locked on one another. JBL has his back to the window. The sun is fading behind him creating an red and orange expanse, Fall has arrived and there is a change coming.

JBL: Would you care to tell me what this is all about because I’m starting to loose patience. I flew all the way out here because you lied to my associates and I don’t like that one little bit.

Melina: I didn’t lie!

JBL: You had me believe that this meeting was of the utmost importance to me and quite frankly my dear, there is nothing you have to say that I would find the least bit important.

Melina: (Grins) Well I don’t know about that, you see I have a proposition for you.

JBL: (laughs) No thank you, I’m a happily married man.

Melina: Funny. Now to wipe that stupid grin off your face.

>>> Melina reaches down beside her chair and grabs her purse. She places the purse on the table and open it up. She takes out the white envelope that Shane McMahon left in their hotel room last Monday night. JBL is staring at the envelope in shock as Melina lays it down on the well polished mahogany table.

JBL: How did you get that, I….. (pause) I mean………. I don’t understand….

Melina: You knew about the divorce, that’s why you put this together. What you didn’t know was why they were getting divorced, am I right?

JBL: Yes, but how do you know all of this?

Melina: Shane McMahon was having an affair, it had been going on for six months when Marissa found out and in turn, filled for divorce.

>>> A grin spreads across JBL’s face as he sits back in his chair.

JBL: Well I’ll be damned. Like father, like son I guess. (laughs)

Melina: (serious) The affair Shane was having, it was with me and his wife found out because I called her up and told her. I sent her pictures, answering machine messages and e-mails.

JBL: Why would you do a stupid thing like that and why do I care about any of this? Get to the point sweetheart because you’re testing my patience.

>>> Melina picks the white envelope up off of the table.

Melina: In here you offered to buy Shane’s stake in the company, all twenty five percent of it, until the divorce was over. You had found out that Marissa, in a bid to hurt Shane where it mattered most, had threatened to seek half of his share in the WWE in the divorce. She had even gone to a lawyer, your lawyer and that’s the reason you knew about all of this.

JBL: (Impressed) You sure did your homework.

Melina: You bet your ass I did. After the divorce you agreed to sell Shane back his stake in the WWE for a ten percent premium. A business deal, yet you must of known he’d never do it.

JBL: NO, I thought he would do it, in fact I think he still will. Yes we hate each others guts, but this was not personal, it was about cold hard cash and I’m set to make a lot of money if this deal goes through.

Melina: The deal won’t go through, I know that for a fact…

JBL: What the hell are you talking about?

Melina: Shane is going to do everything in his power to save his marriage, but more importantly to save his bank balance and that included getting rid of me. He’s a McMahon, good or bad, he’ll get what he wants and you JBL won’t be getting your deal!!!

JBL: (Disappointed) Well I appreciate you telling me, but I’m still not understanding why you felt the need to. What’s in this for you?

Melina: REVENGE…

>>> JBL can’t help but smile. Melina grabs her purse and gets to her feet.

Melina: I have a plan and if we work together we’ll both get what we want and a whole lot more!!!!

>>> Melina has a glimmer in her eyes as she walks around the boardroom table and stands in front of JBL. Melina sticks her hand out and JBL after a moments hesitation shakes it.

JBL: What now???

[BACKSTAGE]

>>> John Morrison has a huge smile on his face as he zips up his pants and retrieves his shirt from across the room.

Morrison: Babe, you’ve outdone yourself yet again.

>>> Morrison starts to put his shirt on.

*Door opening*

>>> The camera is at floor level and follows a pair of tones, tanned legs across the room.

??? - You did pretty good yourself.

>>> The camera moves up to reveal a shot of Candice Michelle who is standing in front of John Morrison wearing a tiny towel around her half naked body. She also has a huge smile on her face.

Morrison: So is this like a regular thing now?

Candice: (Smiles) Depends on how regularly I want it!

>>> With that Candice drops her towel. The camera shot is to her back, so unfortunately we are unable to see anything apart from Morrison's elated expression over her shoulder.

Morrison: Go daddy!

*Fade to Black*

[MATCH #5] - INTER-GENDER RULES - Jack Swagger vs. Beth Phoenix -

*Bell rings*

>>> Swagger and Beth move around the outskirts of the ring, eyes locked on each other. Kelly Kelly is on the outside, barley able to look at what’s occurring in front of her eyes. Before the two can lock up, Swagger steps to the outside of the ring, surprising Beth, who shouts at him to get his ass back in the ring. It should be noted that Swagger was heavily booed during his entrance, where as the Glamazon got a pretty good pop. Swagger grabs the microphone off of the time keepers table.

Lawler: Maybe Swagger has had second thoughts about this. I mean Beth is an incredible athlete, but this is just wrong.

Cole: Vickie Guerrero proves yet again that she is emotionally redundant.

>>> Kelly is at Swaggers side, pleading with him to leave the ringside area. Beth is still demanding Swagger enter the ring and fight her. The referee has not begun a ten count for whatever reason.

Swagger: You know this is crazy, I’m not going to wrestle some chick in my debut match in the WWE, I’m better than that. I deserve better.

*Heat*

Swagger: Beth, I have to hand it to you, you’ve taken this further than I thought you would, but you need to drop the act right now. I know you’re scared of me Beth and that’s fine, a lot of people are, I’m an intimidating guy.

*BOOS*

Swagger: But Beth, I’m also a fair guy and that’s why I’m going to cut you a deal.

>>> Beth looks to be growing even more furious with each additional word that falls from Swaggers mouth. His arrogance it would seem, knows no bounds.

Swagger: You lay down in the ring on your back, a familiar position I’m sure and I’ll cover you for the win. You don’t get your ass kicked, I win of course, and you leave here with some dignity as apposed to none.

*BOOS*

>>> Swagger begins to climb the steel steps.

Swagger: So Beth, what do you say?

>>> Beth walks over and grabs the microphone out of Swaggers hand. Before speaking, she looks to her right, to the outside of the ring, where Kelly is standing, pleading with Beth to accept Jack’s deal. Beth turns to face Swagger.

Beth: NO DEAL!!!

*BIG POP*

>>> Swagger looks genuinely surprised by the response, angered also, as he gets back into the ring. He takes three huge strides until he’s face to face with Beth, who still has the microphone in her hand.

Swagger: You’re one stupid bitch.

>>> Beth nails Swagger with a right hand. Swagger smiles and lifts his right hand to his face. As Swagger pulls back, ready to nail Beth, Kelly slides into the ring and stands in front of him, pleading with him not to go ahead with this. Swagger asks Kelly to move, but she refuses and in turn Swagger grabs her and throws her to the canvas with force.

*Unbelievable Heat*

>>> Beth, enraged, moves forward and kicks Swagger square between the legs. He drops to his knees.

*Bell rings*

*BOOS*

Cole: Beth Phoenix just got herself disqualified.

Lawler: I don’t think she gives a damn Michael.

>>> Beth ignores the bell and Swagger. She immediately goes to check on Kelly, who hasn’t managed to get up off of the canvas. Beth drops to her knees and asks Kelly if she’s hurt. Beth then helps Kelly to her feet. As Beth does this, Swagger recovers. He grabs Beth, swings her around, kicks her in the stomach and delivers a devastating power bomb.

THE CROWD ARE IN SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!

*Amazing Heat*

>>> Swagger looks down at Beth, a look of disgust etched across his face. Kelly is leaning against the ring ropes, horrified by what she has just seen. Kelly motions toward Beth, but Swagger, furious and pissed off, intercepts her and tells her to turn around and start walking. The crowd come to their feet, pleading with Kelly to choose Beth, to leave Swagger, to stand up for herself. Kelly takes one last look at a motionless Beth Phoenix, turns and proceeds to slowly exit the ring, closely followed by Swagger. As Kelly and Swagger walk up the ramp, officials run toward the ring to check on Beth.

Cole: Jack Swagger is a no good son of a bitch and I’m sorry for swearing, but I’m emotional right now.

Lawler: I can not believe what we’ve just seen and blame Swagger as much as you want Michael, but Vickie Guerrero signed this match. She let this happen.

>>> The officials are in the ring. Beth slowly gets to her feet, refusing help, to a standing ovation. Her music begins to play…… FACE TO HEEL IN ONE MOMENT!

[BIG SCREEN]

>>> there is a split screen shot of CM Punk and Shawn Michaels in their respective locker rooms warming up for their match up.

Cole: There they are, the world champion CM Punk and the heartbreak kid Shawn Michaels. Both men are set to square off in the ring, just six days before No Mercy.

Lawler: Both men have refused interviews and have hidden themselves away in their locker rooms since early on today. The world title may not be on the line tonight, but this match still means a hell of a lot to both men.

Cole: You can feel the tension in the air…… MICHAEL’S ……….. PUNK ……….. IT’S NEXT!!!

[BACK LIVE]

Cole: Welcome back to Monday night RAW, where up next, the world champion CM Punk will go head to head with the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels, in a non title match up.

Lawler: We’ve waited weeks for this Michael, I can’t Wait.

*** LOUD BOOING***

>>> We get a camera shot of the RAW entrance, where Vickie Guerrero is standing, microphone in hand. She has a smile on her face and waves at the fans, choosing to ignore the boos.

Vickie: Thank you, thank you for such a warm welcome.

*Boos*

Vickie: It’s great to be back …….. (pause) ……… I missed you too.

>>> The fans, looking to deflate Vickie’s ego, grow louder. The temporary General manager of RAW though is still unfazed.

Vickie: I’ve come out here tonight to make an announcement. When I was general manager of SmackDown I was known for my fair and impartial decision making. For that reason, I though it only fair, that Chris Jericho be involved in this upcoming match.

*Mixed reaction*

Vickie: Therefore I give to you, the special guest referee for this match, Chris Jericho.

*Boos*

>>> Jericho’s music begins to play as he struts out onto the stage. Vickie is smiling and nodding. Jericho stops and shakes Vickie’s hand before continuing on down to the ring. Vickie makes her exit. Jericho is wearing black boots, black jeans and a regular referee’s shirt.

Cole: I honestly don’t know what to make of this. Chris Jericho hates Shawn Michaels, however I believe that his will to be champion is a far stronger emotion, so this decision by our controversial leader doesn’t bode well for either man.

Lawler: Who will Jericho favour, if anybody? Did you see how Vickie Guerrero looked at Chris Jericho, I think she’s taken a shine to him, big time.

[MATCH] - CM Punk VS Shawn Michaels -

FINISH: With just over ten minutes gone in the match up, Chris Jericho has thus far has remained surprisingly impartial, calling the match right down the middle. His presence in the ring however has unsettled Shawn Michaels from the get go and he hasn’t really been able to settle down, allowing CM Punk to dominate. Interestingly CM Punk’s buddy Evan Bourne has decided not to come to ringside. Jericho circles both men, who are standing in the centre of the ring. Michaels has the champion in a headlock and Punk is desperately trying to free himself. Punk gets free and sends Michael’s to the ropes, dropping his head for the back drop. Michaels comes off the ropes and flips over Punk, landing on his feet. Confused the champion turns and gets a slap across the face. Vintage Shawn Michaels. Punk for the first time in the match looses control of his emotions, the ploy by Michaels has worked. Punk recklessly charges at HBK. Michaels executes and drop toe hold and Punk eats canvas. Michaels, in a further attempt to rattle the champion, slaps Punk in the back of the head and tosses his hair. Shawn gets to his feet, a big smile on his face and walks to the corner, allowing the champion to get to his feet.

Punk slowly gets up, visibly embarrassed by what just happened. He shakes it off and motions to Michaels to bring it. Both men begin to circle one another yet again in the centre of the ring. This time it’s the champion who garners the advantage, catching Michaels with a knee to the stomach. Punk begins to deliver his trade mark kicks, catching Michaels in the ribs, shoulder and the side of the head. The last devastating shot causes Shawn to fall to both knees. Punk charges to the ropes and comes off with a full head of steam, driving his knee into the face of HBK. Michaels is laid out on the canvas. The champion covers. 1.…………. 2.…………. NO!!! At the very last moment Shawn gets his shoulder up and Jericho calls it. Punk looks at Jericho and suggests that he speed up his count. Jericho shoots back, telling Punk when his shoulder are on the mat, he’ll be happy to do so. Shawn Michael’s, following the onslaught of devastating kicks and the knee to the face, is understandably struggling to get to his feet. A seemingly incoherent HBK stumble into the champion. Punk grabs Shawn and lifts him up into the fireman’s carry position. Punk turns with Shawn held up on his back, preparing for the GTS.

As Punk turns, Michaels is able to grab onto the top ring rope, preventing Punk from connecting with the GTS. Punk desperately attempts to tear Shawn Michael’s away from the ropes, but he refuses to let go. With Michael’s on his back and hanging onto the top rope, Punk goes for plan B, dumping Shawn up and over the top rope. Michaels however still manages to cling onto the top rope and hoists his body up onto the apron. Punk runs across the ring, diving through the middle ropes, colliding with Shawn Michaels and driving him off of the apron and onto the floor. Both men are down on the outside as a “HOLY SHIT” chant erupts throughout the arena. Jericho, who has yet to play any sort of role in the match up begins a ten count. On the count of six, Punk rolls under the bottom rope. Jericho stops counting for a moment and the champion shouts at him to continue. Shawn Michaels begins to move as Chris Jericho continues his count. On the count of nine, Shawn throws his body under the bottom rope, breaking the count. Shawn Michael’s has somehow survived and this match up will continue. CM Punk is furious, perhaps thinking that this match up was over. Shawn is motionless next to the bottom rope, Chris Jericho is standing next to him. The champion tares across the ring, grabs Jericho’s referee’s shirt and swings him around.

Chris Jericho points at the official badge on the shirt and warns Punk that he’ll disqualify him. The champion is enraged, claiming Jericho’s brief pause during the ten count cost him a victory in the match up. Jericho refutes the claim. As Jericho and CM Punk continue to argue in the centre of the ring, Shawn Michaels has used the ring ropes to get to his feet. Shawn takes three steps forward. Jericho turns around, he and Punk are now side by side. Shawn goes for sweet chin music on the champion, but at the last possible second, the champion pulls Jericho in front of him. SWEET CHIN MUSIC TO CHRIS JERICHO!!!! Jericho goes down. Punk nails Michaels with a right hand and he falls backwards into the corner. Punk takes several steps back and charges at HBK, connecting with a high knee to the chin of Michaels. Punk locks his arm around the back of Shawn’s neck and hit’s the running bulldog out of the corner, driving Shawn’s face into the canvas. Jericho is starting to move, as Punk makes the cover. Jericho is leaning on the top rope. CM Punk is shouting at Jericho to make the count, but he’s not reacting, so Punk gets to his feet and walks toward Jericho, who suddenly turns…….. CODBREAKER TO PUNK!!! Jericho then in a shocking move, drags HBK over onto Punk and makes a fast count. 1.……. 2.……….3! It’s all over. Chris Jericho just screwed the champion.

Aftermath: Shawn Michael’s music begins to play. To the surprise of many, Jericho is actually helping Shawn to his feet. Michael’s seems unaware of what just transpired and as he looks to his right at Jericho, he too can‘t help but look shocked. Jericho turns his back to Shawn and begins to exit the ring, but in the blink of an eye he turns back around and charges at HBK…CODEBREAKER TO MICHAELS!!!

Cole: Chris Jericho is standing tall over the two men he will face at No Mercy this Sunday for the world heavyweight championship.

Lawler: You want to talk controversy! Chris Jericho screwed CM Punk, but you have to think Punk had it coming after sacrificing Jericho to Michaels.

Lawler: What was CM Punk thinking? There’s going to be hell to pay this Sunday for Chris Jericho because here tonight in this match up, he just crowned himself enemy number one.

Cole: Will John Cena be cleared to compete this Sunday and if so what shape will be in? So many questions to be answered at No Mercy. You can’t afford to miss this PPV.

>>> Chris Jericho has retrieved the world title from the ring announcers table and is holding it in the air as he looks down at CM Punk and Shawn Michaels who both have yet to move.

TONIGHT,CHRIS JERICHO HAS SHOWN NO MERCY…..

[UNDISCLOSED LOCATION]

>>> A large mansion dominates its leafy green surroundings. This place, it’s familiar. The camera moves through the grounds of the walled compound. There are two large sedans parked outside the main entrance. It’s nightfall and the entire exterior is illuminated by a seemingly never ending row of six foot Victorian lampposts, suggesting that the building itself is over one hundred years old.

***INTERIOR***

>>> The camera moves through a dimly lithe, wide hallway.

*Voices in the distance*

>>> A door opens before us and there stands Stephanie and Shane McMahon. They’re standing in what appears to be a dining area. A large rectangular table commands the room. On either side of the enormous table there are twelve chairs. Shane McMahon is seated at one of these chairs, his head hung low. A glass tumbler sits inches from his right hand, filled we vodka or gin. It’s neat, unlike Shane’s attire. A wrinkled grey suit which appears to have adorned his body for days. He is sporting a beard, there are black rings under his eyes and his hair is tossed and greasy.

*Footsteps overhead*

>>> Stephanie stops pacing and gazes out at the night through one of three, floor to ceiling rectangular windows, that cover the back wall of the dining room.

*White light engulfs the screen*

>>> An open door……. Shattered glass …………. A bloody Shane McMahon on the floor, barely conscious.

*White lights engulfs the screen*

*Present day*

>>> Stephanie turns away from the window, her expression hides nothing, her face showcasing her inner most fears. She is a women on the edge, completely overwhelmed with panic and despair. Like her brother, her eyes tell a sad story. They too are highlighted with black rings, she has not slept for days, perhaps weeks. Yet one must wonder, if she is living a nightmare, why fear the night, why fear sleep?

*Gust of wind*

*Shakes the panes of glass*

>>> It has been two minutes and neither sibling has uttered a single word. Shane’s eyes are directed at the door, he has not flinched. Stephanie is staring across the room at the door, contemplating walking out perhaps, but there is nowhere to run to. Shane, without looking up, reaches for the glass tumbler, but knocks is over. The clear liquid inside flows over the freshly polished table and spills over the edge, creating an alcoholic waterfall.

Shane: Damn it…

>>> Shane swings his right arm over the surface of the table, colliding with the glass tumbler and sending it sailing across the room, where it smashes into a million little pieces on impact with the hardwood floor.

Stephanie: We’ve been here for five days, you’re going crazy and I’m going crazy. I can’t take it anymore, I need to get out of here.

Shane: And go where? Back home?

Stephanie: Please, I’m not an idiot. I need to get away from everything, from everyone. Europe, I’ll go to Europe.

Shane: You can’t run away from your problems, not this time.

Stephanie: (angry) What the hell is that suppose to mean, huh?

>>> Shane falls silent and breaks eye contact with his only sister. Stephanie storms across the room and falls to her knees in front of her big brother, forcing him to look at her, to look into her eyes an explain himself.

Stephanie: (screaming) Look at me……. Look at me Shane…… talk to me God damn it!!!

Shane: (Calmly) We’ve been here five day and all we’ve done is avoid each other and avoid the situation we’re faced with. We can’t do this Steph, we’re drowning in a pool of water and every time we reach the surface for air, they bottom opens up and we go under again. We’ve tried, but we’re worse off now than we were a month ago. We can’t get ourselves out of this.

>>> Shane stands up and turns his back on his sister who is still on her knees, seemingly lost for words. Glass covers the floor and as Stephanie places her hands on the carpet, she cuts herself. Stephanie raises her hand up to her face and is hypnotised by the droplets of blood trickling over the snow white palm of her hand.

Stephanie: Sometimes I like to feel pain! Pain reminds me that I’m still alive, that I’m not dead inside.

Shane: I long to feel dead inside. If I can’t feel then I can’t hurt, can I?

*Doorbell*

>>> Shane and Stephanie’s head snap suddenly in the direction of the door. Their eyes double is size as the sense of panic overcomes their numbed bodies.

Stephanie: (panicked) Who could that me?

***CUT TO THE ENRANCE HALL***

>>> An elderly women comes into shot and she walks to the door. As she places her hand on the doorknob, Stephanie and Shane come running up the hallway. The women opens the door .

Shane/Stephanie: Nooooooooooooo!

>>> In slow motion we watch as a strangely dressed gentleman enters with a briefcase in hand. The mystery man is wearing black shoes, a black suit and has long flowing black hair. The women, who one would assume is the house keeper, closes the door behind him. The man turns and faces Stephanie and Shane, who seem both relieved and surprised to see him. The man is expressionless

???: Expecting somebody else?

Stephanie: Mr Blake. (AKA. James Mitchell.)

Blake: We need to talk, I’ve discovered something you’re going to be very interested in.

Shane: Follow me.

>>> With that Shane begins to walk back down the hallway, followed by Stephanie and Mr Blake, a ruthless, sinister individual, who happens to be very well connected and who has been working for numerous rich businessmen at a very substantial price for many years. Shane McMahon met with Blake after Stephanie disappeared in a bid to find her. Although he was unsuccessful in locating Stephanie’s whereabouts, he did discover some very interesting information during his search.

*Dining Room*

>>> All three individuals are seated around the dining room table. The mysterious Mr Blake opens his briefcase on the table and takes out a large black and white photographs. Blake slides the photograph across the desk.

Blake: Mr J Samuel, attorney of law, a man you’re very familiar with Mr McMahon.

Shane: He came to Raw a few times, he’s Marissa’s divorce Lawyer.

Stephanie: We checked him out, he’s legit, right?

Blake: Yes, but not only does he happen be Marissa’s divorce lawyer, he also happens to be a trusted associate of one John Bradshaw lay field.

Shane: Son of a bitch. So you think JBL has something to do with all of this?

Blake: I’ll need to dig further, one can not be certain at this point in time.

>>> Blake reaches into the briefcase and takes out another large black and white picture and slides it across the table to the McMahon siblings. Stephanie seems repulsed by the image and Shane looks to be infuriated by it.

Blake: Doctor Mathew Rodgers, or just Mathew Rodgers now. His medical licence was revoked some ten years ago, I have yet to discover why. Mr Rodgers here shared a room with one Paul Bearer at Parkland psychiatric hospital. Mr Rodgers was released around six weeks before Bearer and the two have been in constant contact ever since.

Stephanie: I still don’t understand, what do they have in common and why do they bare a grudge against me and my family. What’s the connection?

Blake: Quiet simply my dear, your father….

>>> Stephanie and Shane are taken aback by the comments, each word hitting them like a clenched fist, knocking them back in their chairs and leaving them winded.

Blake: It would seem that your fathers actions lead to both men being committed to parkland, I still do not know the details, but both men has something on your father and sources have lead me to believe that there is much more to this than meets the eye.

Shane: So you’ll continue to work on this…….

Blake: Once you continue to deliver those handsome cheques every week, I will continue to work for you.

Stephanie: (taking a deep breath) Did they survive……

Blake: Three, the minister did not escape alive. Your marriage however will only stand up in court if the wedding papers survived the blaze. It’s a work in progress, but I have my people working on it as we speak.

>>> The tension and air of despair that engulfed the McMahon siblings just ten minutes earlier seems to have lifted with news that finally there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

***SCREAMING***

>>> Stephanie and Shane jump to their feet. Even the calm and mysterious Mr Blake seems to be startled by the scream.

Stephanie: (alarmed) What the hell was that?

Blake: (calmly) Maybe you should go and find out, I can wait.

Shane: It’s probably nothing.

>>> Shane and Stephanie exit the room and are met by a worried looking young nurse who is running toward them.

Nurse: HE’S GONE.

Stephanie: What? Who’s gone?

Nurse: YOU’RE FATHER, HE’S GONE.

Shane: Don’t be stupid, the man hasn’t left his room in weeks.

Nurse: We’ve checked the entire top floor, he’s gone, Mr McMahon is gone.

Stephanie: Maybe he’s just wondered outside, we’ll slit up and look for him, he can’t have gone far. You get the other nurses, tell them what to do and then split up and start looking. Shane and I will start at the front of the house.

>>> The nurse nodes and turns before bolting back up the hallway in a terrible panic.

Stephanie: (To Shane) We need to ring mom.

Shane: Don’t be stupid, there’s no point worrying her. He’s around her somewhere Stephanie, he has to be.

>>> Mr Blake exit’s the dining room, briefcase in hand.

Blake: It would appear as if you have more pressing matters to attend to, I will be in touch.

>>> Before Stephanie or Shane can respond Mr Blake walks away, unconcerned by the matter at hand. He walks to the main entrance door, opens it and exits, leaving it ajar, perhaps knowing Shane and Stephanie’s next move. Shane and Stephanie exit the mansion, just in time to see Mr Blake’s car exit the compound and speed off into the night.

Shane: You go right and I’ll go left. Meet me back here.

Stephanie: Ok.

>>> Just as Shane and Stephanie are about to separate a bolt of lightning strikes the ground in the distance. Moments later, a giant Undertaker symbol appears through the darkness, engulfed in flames.

Stephanie: HE'S BACK!!!

Shane: WHERE'S DAD???

>>> Shane and Stephanie stand side by side on the steps of the mansion, staring into the night at the haunting image before them with so many questions to be asked, the most pressing of them being, WHERE IS VINCE MCMAHON AND HAS THE UNDERTAKER REALLY RETURNED FROM THE DARK SIDE?

……… the story continues next Monday night on RAW “the best drama on television.”

<<<SHOW OVER>>>>

NOTE: OK, so this is the last RAW before No Mercy. I hope you all liked the show, It took a month of work on and off and It had so much fun writing it. There were a lot of new angles subtly started in this show and others have been kicked up a gear. All in all I think things are progressing nicely. I tried to scale back some of the bigger angles, realism wise after certain comments. But this is me, it's how I book. Entertainment all the way baby!!!

RAW REVIEW

I must admit, I was intrigued with the arrival of Vickie Guerrero. She’s not my favorite choice for a GM, imo, but at least she’s a change in the Raw authority figure picture.

Opening match did exactly what it should do before a PPV: promote the PPV. I don’t quite understand why Evan Bourne grabbed a chair when his partner was in control. Still, I guess it adds climax to the eventual hot tag to Batista. Mark Henry getting out of dodge in the end was pure gold, as I expected Batista to pin him for the victory.

Very weird start to the Patterson/Guerrero segment. From the way it sounded when Vickie came in, it almost seemed like he was doing something inappropriate with the magazine (hint, hint), which would scare kids if they were actually watching. In any case, good call putting Vickie in charge. Patterson’s not much of a GM, despite how you’re playing him off as a comic relief. I can’t imagine Vickie doing an evil laugh, tbh. Especially not ending the segment.

I didn’t read much of last week’s show, but I did read Kane and Stephanie’s wedding. Funny stuff. Anyhow, not much I can say about this segment, other than its creepy and weird. Strange how Kane would bring up his momma’s funeral was held at the church that burned down. Great irony. The ending with the mask wasn’t a great surprise, as the whole “old/new” angle couldn’t mean so many things.

Again: I haven’t been keeping up with this thread, so I have no clue about this diva pregnant thing.

Two tag team matches in a row? Anyhow, solid title match between two young teams. Not much to say, except how Priceless pretty much dominated. They made the pin attempts, they counteracted nearly every Miz/Morrison move, and they get the tainted victory. In any case, the brawl afterwards will hopefully set up a nice rematch. I don’t really think much of Cryme Tyme, but I guess they had to make some kind of statement.

Another funny segment, bruh. Plain and simple.

When you said well dressed men and women, and NYC, it could only be JBL. Melina, on the other hand, caught me off guard. I have no idea what her intentions are, except maybe starting up some sort of tag team. Can’t wait to see how this story develops.

Interesting how you say Mickie’s feeling erratic and couldn’t cope with the boos. Big hint towards her being the pregnant one. Anyway, Gail’s announcement just adds to the possibilities of Mickie being pregnant.

John Cena starting off a John Cena promo the way only he can: getting a cheap pop reaction. Anyhow, I really didn’t think you were going to take John Cena out of the match this Sunday. Also, I hope you plan and revealing this mystery attacker at the PPV, as this angle doesn’t have a lot of other places left to go.

I can’t wait to see who you have cooking up for Swagger. Should be a doozy of a match. I think things went out of hand when Beth punched Jacky boy when he started laughing. But then again, I guess he had to get her attention somehow. I still expect a pretty good match between Swagger and Phoenix, I guess. Still, Swagger FTW.

There are two problems I have with Match IV: the crowd behind Santino, and Santino actually carrying a match (well, actually, the former’s not really that big of a surprise). A small package makes for a convincing finish and a convincing Santino win.

You’re really trying to play Melina off as a power-broker or some important business figure who’s calling the shots. Okay, NOW I get it. The plot is really starting to thicken, and I’m liking the idea of JBL being in charge. I can’t wait to see how it plays out next.

Oh. So Candice is the pregnant one, eh? That still works for me, despite not knowing how this Candice/Morrison thing started in the first place. I also like the Go Daddy reference. Tre chice.

Well done making Swagger off to be an Ike-Turner. And of course, you bring up that Phoenix has instantly gone face, which makes sense as this was the obvious outcome.

I couldn’t help but notice that you didn’t have any “EXCUSE ME”s in Vickie’s brief address to the fans. I completely forgot about Jericho being in the title match, so this was a great way to get him involved and give him some TV time before the PPV. Killer main event. Really sold off the PPV. I don’t see how a suicide dive can start up a Holy Shit chant in the entire arena. Very little involvement from the guest referee, until the end where it counted. Anyhow, the ending was a hot mess, as they tend to be with guest referees, and I expected Punk and Jericho to screw over Michaels, not the other way around. Still, nice to see Jericho get the momentum heading into this Sunday. You really made him capitalize on this Punk/Michaels feud.

And, of course, you choose to end things with an intense closing segment. And, of course, you had to make things eerier and enter James Mitchell. In any case, its great to see somebody pointing out some connections in this mixed-up storyline. Also, I like you make it seem like just when things were pointing towards Vince, he disappears. Very heart-stopping climax.

All in all, this truly is the best drama on TV, even though all these storylines can get confusing to keep up with. It’s like watching several different soap operas at once. Still, I’m glad you made a connection in the main storyline with the McMahons. Can’t wait to find out this mystery attacker, who I hope you will reveal at the PPV. Best of wishes in the futre!!

RAW Feedback

Starting the show off as you did in the parking lot before the credits begins is a good move, really putting over how important the arrival of Vickie was. Not sure about commentary as I don’t think we should hear from Cole and Lawler until after the openings vid is done, however the segment was written well.

Commentators did an adequate job hyping the event as we move ahead to the first matchup. Interesting choice, I must say. With Henry involved I’m almost inclined to say it would be better off later in the show, however Mysterio and Bourne bring the excitement. I don’t like the idea of how the hot tag came about too much really, as after hearing the chair being kicked once you would think that the referee would turn around to see what was happening. I understand Henry wanting to back out away from Batista, although I think the more conventional way of him not tagging in would have worked better. Bourne kicking out of the spear is interesting, as it seems like you’re trying to put him over as someone who is tough. On the other side of the coin, seeing someone so small kick out a move like that from someone so large may be a bit unbelievable. He win came anyway for Batista, getting the card started the right way, giving the crowd something to get excited about. Pretty good way to get us going match-wise.

Interesting promo, showcasing your intent on entertainment with some humour involved (some of which I laughed at for real, especially the camera adding ten pounds). Vickie as GM is a move not one many bookers will make, as she’s well, underrated, so I really like this. She’s a heat magnet and was probably the most over person on SmackDown! all last year, so she’s definitely worth using.

Kane promo gave the intended eerie feel. I’m not someone who likes the idea of Kane putting his mask back on as people seem to associate him being good with him being masked when I just think he was pushed better then, however I’ll keep an open mind.

This promo is exactly why this feels like Neighbours. You definitely do things different with the divas, I’ll give you that. Not sure whether to react positively or negatively in all honestly, so I’ll pass more judgment later on down the road.

Ugh, I hate heel vs heel matches tbh. I just think that if two people (or in this case teams) who the crowd dislike are going against each other, they really have no reason to be interested in the match. You tried to cast the role of the faces to Miz and Morrison here it seems with you mentioning how they were the cheered team and Morrison trying to get the crowd into the match, however the way the match went down at the end didn’t showcase Miz and Morrison as faces. It actually looked kinda like a squash until the dirty finish, tbh. Cryme Tyme running in and making their intentions clear would have been better if you hadn’t mentioned that the other four men were exhausted lol. Made them seem a bit heelish too. Not an ideal type of the match, however I guess in the end it got the job done.

Again, the entertainment aspect here. Didn’t find it quite as funny as the last one, however I must say you write Santino well. The ‘ahs’ are often overused by most people, which is something you don’t do. Props for that.

Again, drama type stuff lol. You write JBL very well, with this promo showcasing just that. Melina seemed a little off though. Even the use of the word ‘honey’ doesn’t seem like her. Interested to see where you go from here, as quite frankly I have no idea what’s going on.

Liking how you really put over Mickie’s psycho side in this match, whilst still being able to showcase her abilities with a jobber opponent. @ the commentary after the match. Great stuff. Gail was pretty much short and sweet, which she needed to be since I haven’t seen her showcase any real mic skills as a face. Mickie gain whispering to herself at the conclusion of the promo puts over her nutty side well again, which is great. Pretty good stuff here.

Just a small thing to start with in that I don’t think Cena’s music should have played to begin with. Small, complaint, I know. Cena sucking up to the fans was a bit too mooshy for my liking. Making Cena a real pussy doesn’t endear him to me, tbh. The suspense as to whether Cena would be at No Mercy was well done, though I don’t like Cena referring to himself by his own name like that only to interchange a pronoun right back in during the very same sentence. The promo was building up just right when it ended. Seemed a bit abrupt, as you were building some steam and getting me more into the character.

@ Swagger quickly remaking he wasn’t someone who said Vickie was unfair. Very nicely done there to get Swagger that cheapish heat. Phoenix stepping up to fight against Swagger continues this storyline with Kelly on well, with the punch making a real statement. @ Swagger calling her butch. Awesome. Smart way to go about making the match emphasizing on Vickie being ‘fair’. Nice little segment.

Ugh, not going to lie when I say I’m not a fan of Goldust, although he’ll definitely fit in with your entertainment style of thing you’ve got going. Having Cody ashamed of his brother is alright, though it’ll be worth nothing if no storyline comes about.

Jobbing Noble out, misspelling his name and having the commentators bag him out after the match is never going to make me happy.

More drama type stuff here back with JBL and Melina. Again, JBL was written well with Melina being iffy. idk about bringing Shane’s real life marriage up as an on-screen thing myself, however it suits your style. I laughed for real at the happily married line as well. Nice little one liner.

Morrison’s pure awesomeness. Always knew he could be a pimp. @ the last line, again.

Pretty clever way to get Phoenix over as a face well, whilst also getting Swagger some mega-heat. You handled this segment well for him, with the shoving of Kelly away, his absolutely douchebaggery on the mic and the powerbomb on Phoenix all being used well to get him some heat.

Vickie pretending she was loved was alright as it seems to be where you’re headed with her. The decision to install Jericho as special guest ref is an interesting one which also makes sense. He was always going to be involved in the main event in one way or another, so why not make it official?

I like that you made a point of us knowing this was a longer match, though a headlock at the ten minute mark? Yuck. The first paragraph and a bit as a whole actually made the match seem young, more like it had just started out before it suddenly sped up. Had Jericho not got involved the move would have been pointless, so I’m glad you had him interact with Punk. The move of Punk bringing Jericho in as a shield worked well, however I think Jericho recovered from the move a bit too quickly. Having him standing tall at the end worked alright though, with a good way to finish the matches as far as this show goes.

Pretty much a soap opera to end with here. I’m not huge on the use of James Mitchell as a simple investigator type of guy for the McMahons, as I think he could be so much more with his mic skills. I also would have liked for his history to have been incorporated in some promos down the line, rather than in your description, as the viewers wouldn’t know that. Again, I’m kinda on the fence with your drama type of stuff, although it is different. Interesting way to signal the return of ‘Taker to conclude the show.

As is the norm with you, a very different product. I liked it for the most part, and well, as I said, it was different. This does allow you to stand out from the pack, and you capture the drama type feel very well. A few spelling a grammar errors throughout are frustrating, as are some choppy sentences when at times you use description so well. All in all though, it was an entertaining show throughout, with a good use of humour to break up the drama and matches.
