BACKSTAGE GOSSIP

> With The Undertaker moving to RAW some time after Summerslam there leaves a huge gap for a big main eventer and Vince McMahon has earmarked several names to rise to the challenge and rise up the card in the coming months. Vince McMahon has been high on MVP, Mr. Kennedy, Paul Burchill and The Brian Kendrick all coming up as successors in recent meetings. The writers have discussed different directions for the climate of Smackdown and have brought up the idea of La Familia ruling for a few more months to come, possibly leading up to WrestleMania but with Edge as a flawed figurehead things could soon implode on Smackdown

> Two big names are rumoured to be leaving Smackdown or going on a prolonged break in forthcoming weeks. Mick Foley (who's contract is reportedly coming to an end) appears to be disgruntled with wrestling and wants to work on his second passion, writing. Expect Mick Foley to get a big send off someway down the line. Vickie Guerrero, meanwhile, has had a non stop schedule for several months and has been burnt out and she is going to take a break. The GM's position is reportedly going to go to Alicia Fox, obviously linked to the recent amount of air time she is getting.

> Down in FCW the head writer of Smackdown is said to be relishing the prospect of bringing up names like Johnny Jeter, Steve Lewington and Colt Cabana to the main roster. Johnny Jeter and Colt Cabana are said to be working extremely efficiently and are expecting a promotion any week now and are in high spirits after seeing Paul Burchill's push- with The Ripper being promised a main event slot more regularly after his impressive selling and the impact he has made on the last 2 weeks on Smackdown and the feedback from fans on the WWE Fan Nation and other wrestling websites and dirt sheets. Steve Lewington, meanwhile, is said to have a very specific gimmick which, while under wraps, is said to be very edgy and Vince McMahon is still awaiting confirmation from the network to get the go ahead to put him on the air.

> Tommy Dreamer and Paul London are expected to make their debuts in the next few months, both are expected to slot in nicely in to the mid card without making too much of an impact to the main event but plans could definitely change. Adding to this a CW title could definitely be in the works with the likes of London being added as well as Gregory Helms, Jamie Noble, Kenny Dykstra, Jimmy Wang Yang, Chavo Guerrero and Kid Kash reportedly being offered a mega bucks deal to return to the 'E. Things are looking up on all walks of life on Smackdown, the tag division is expected to be on a renaissance with several people being called up to build on the already solid foundations of Smackdown.

>The Triple H and Umaga ending has been giving creative headaches and sleepless nights. Both men logically can't lose after being built up the way they have as unstoppable machines and when two unstoppable forces come together things explode and the WWE website have sporadically used the Shakespearean quote 'The forfeit of the peace will cost you your lives' will the quote was heavily edited for younger audiences to understand you can comprehend the situation and Umaga may just get the shock win at Summerslam to stop feuds from becoming stale but don't be surprised to see a draw but if we see another clean Triple H win younger guys backstage may stage a mutiny.

That was the last stop before Summerslam for this thread, Sean and I look forward to seeing you there!

Re: WWE - GET IT! - SUMMER 2008

I just had a read thru of the gossip and I have to say I like the idea of pushing talent after 'Taker leaves. I really hope for The Brian Kendrick to get the call, but I think it will go to Mr. Kennedy. With that said, even if you do push someone none of those guys will have the presence in the main event that The Undertaker had. So I think Smackdown will be lacking for some time until a new guy gets over, huge.

I am looking foward to Summerslam and I will be dropping some comments on the event. I have to say this thread has really come along and I also like the way you posted all the shows, neat idea.

Re: WWE - GET IT! - SUMMER 2008

EDIT:

The Undertaker VS Edge match at SummerSlam is a Buried Alive Match not a Casket Match. This was my error and I did mention it before and I edited my original post. Just wanted to clear that up in case anybody was confused. Thanks for all the predictions by the way. needless to say a lot of you are going to be surprised when the show is posted!!!

Re: WWE - GET IT! - SUMMER 2008

AUGUST 17. 2008
CONSECO FIELDHOUSE. INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA

WWE “the world is watching” video airs.

[Opening video]

>>> The camera pans across a glorious blue sky. Within seconds clouds start to filter across the great blue expanse. The rumblings of thunder can be heard. The sky turns grey and then out of nowhere, sheets of lightning illuminate the darkness, dancing over the black clouds and the vast grey canvas.

Narrator: Summer just went dark!

>>> As the lightning continues to flash and the thunder continues to roar, images of Triple H, Umaga, The Undertaker, Edge, CM Punk and John Cena appear on the dark clouds as if their interaction was causing this sudden change in the atmosphere.

Narrator: For tonight, the Gods of the wrestling world clash in their quest for ultimate supremacy. Some seek revenge, whilst others seek championship gold..

>>> The camera pans across the sky and then levitates toward a vast ocean. Huge waves roll over the surface of the water and crash. As the first wave crashes, Triple H and Umaga rise from the sea in liquid form and charge into each other causing an explosion of water.

Narrator:Men have for centuries battled giants with great success, but tonight one man must face a giant hungry for championship gold and willing to do just about anything to satisfy the hunger within.

>>> Another huge towering wave rumbles across the surface of the ocean. As it does, fork lightning strikes from above followed by torrential rain fall. As the enormous wave collapses into the ocean, CM Punk and John Cena emerge through the water in liquid form. Punk charges across the surface and the two figures collide, merging into one another and dispersing across the ocean.

Narrator: Men have for centuries sought admiration and respect but when the actions of one man become questionable, does he risk loosing not only the respect he seeks, but championship gold?

>>> The rumblings of thunder is audible as the rain continues to pour down, creating millions of tiny ripples on the surface of the water. Lightning again stings the oceans surface, illuminating the water as it does. Huge winds manipulate the water as a tornado blows in from the right of the screen. The Tornado uproots a vast wall of water which turns into a tidal wave. As the wave blows across the surface of the ocean, images of The Undertaker and Edge’s previous encounters play on it. From their match at WrestleMania 24 up until the infamous TLC match at One Night Stand. The wave crashes into the ocean and breaks up. As it does, liquid incarnations of both the Undertaker and Edge emerge from the sea and do battle with one another before eventually falling back into the water.

Narrator: Men have for centuries fought to simply survive, but tonight two men will fight to simply live, for tonight one man will be buried alive!

>>> The wind, rain and lightning suddenly stop. The sound of thunder is no longer audible. We get a shot of the sky. The clouds part, the blue sky returns and sun once again shines brightly. Then the sound of a engine can be heard. Moments later, Maria zooms into shot, atop a jet ski, wearing a skimpy black bathing suit. She speeds along until she is right in front of the camera. She smiles and turns the jet ski around, throwing water into the camera. The Summer Slam logo appears.

Narrator: Tonight Raw, SmackDown and Street Kings on DVD present WWE Summer Slam live on PPV!

[Cut to Arena]

Pyro erupts around the Summer Slam set and the Summer Slam theme song “ready to roll” by Jet Black begins to play. The lights come up and the sold out crowd come to their feet. The camera pans around the arena taking in a shot of the fans and the posters they’re holding in the air. One poster reads “Punk is a punk” whilst another reads “The Animal will destroy the monster tonight.”

[Raw announce table]

>>> Shot of Michaels Cole and the King with big smiles on their faces.

Cole: Welcome everybody to WWE Summer Slam, we are live from the Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis Indiana and these people are jacked. I’m Michael Cole alongside hall of famer Jerry “The King” Lawler. Are you ready for Summer Slam king?

King: As Stone Cole Steve Austin used to say, Oh Hell yeah!

Cole: Tonight we will of course be covering the Raw side of things but right now lets send it over to our SmackDown colleagues, JR and Mick Foley.

[SmackDown announce table]

>>> JR and Mick Foley are seated behind their table. Foley is looking around at the sold out crowd.

JR: Thank you Michael. Ladies and gentlemen what a night this promises to be. Both major championships are on the line here tonight and the question is this, can the Game Triple H overcome arguably the biggest challenge of his title reign thus far, when he goes one on one with the Samoan bulldozer, Umaga here tonight?

Foley: Should be an amazing match up JR. But I have to admit, I can’t wait for the huge inter-promotional buried alive match tonight between The R Rated Superstar Edge and The Venom, The Undertaker. That’s going to be one hell of a match up, no doubt about it!

JR: We’re about ready to go here folks because right now, we’re set for a tag team match up with two teams who despise one another.

Foley: You better believe it. This one’s personal!

[MATCH #1] - The Hardy Boys VS Hawkins & Ryder -

**IN THE MIDDLE OF IT NOW**

*HEAT*

>>> Hawkins and Ryder cockily walk out to the ramp with their belts aloft, gum in their mouth and chewing obnoxiously. They stare at the fans on the way

Chimel: Ladies and gentlemen, at a combined weight of four hundred and forty one pounds, from Long Island, New York HAWKINS AND RYDER!

*HEAT*

Foley: These two guys have been looking on whilst others do the work, would you bet on that again tonight
J.R as we open Summerslam up?

J.R: If I were a betting man...

**NO MORE WORDS**

*HUGE POP*

>>> Both of the Hardy brothers come out and play to the crowd before looking at Hawkins and Ryder and signalling that they want the titles.

Chimel: Making their way to the ring, at a combined weight of four hundred and sixty one pounds, THE HARDY BROTHERS, MATT AND JEFF HARRRRDDDDYYYY!!!

*MAJOR POP*

*BELL RINGS*

We get this underway with Matt Hardy locking it up in the ring with Hawkins. Matt Hardy applies a front facelock to Hawkins and slides him down to the mat with him. Matt then applies the armbar and twists his arm slightly, highlighting his vast experience. Matt then kicks Hawkins in the arm, obviously still angry about their attacks over the last few weeks before dropping a wicked knee drop to the head of Hawkins. Hardy goes for the quick cover...

Hawkins kicks out fairly easily but Hardy drags Hawkins to his feet but Hawkins, surprisingly, gets in a few jabs and then an uppercut and Irish whips Matt Hardy in to the ropes but Hardy grabs on to the ropes at the last second, again showcasing his expertise and Hawkins foolishly attempts the dropkick to thin air. Hardy goes on the offense and leg drops Hawkins in the neck area. Hardy pants a little before lifting Hawkins up and grabbing his neck... TWIST OF FATE!!! No, Hawkins pushes him to the ropes and whilst Matt Hardy composes himself Hawkins charges in and tips him over the ropes to a groan from the crowd. Hawkins smirks at himself and gets Ryder to cheer along but Ryder is telling him to turn around... BANG! Shining Wizard from Jeff Hardy to a huge pop! Jeff knocks Ryder off of the apron with a shoulder charge and he rolls out of the ring to help his brother, Matt, in to the ring. Matt gets to his feet as Jeff goes back to the corner, Matt lifts Hawkins up and brings him over to his own corner and Jeff tags himself in, to the surprise of Matt and a cold look from his brother before going to the apron, as told by the referee. Jeff wraps Hawkins’ legs around his own and applies a basic leglock (it’s only Jeff, of course) and applies a hell of a lot of pressure but Hawkins swipes at Jeff and finally hits a clean kick to the face of Jeff Hardy BUSTING HIM WIDE OPEN! Hawkins looks like he means business, intentional kick or not, but Jeff isn’t too amused, he wipes the blood off of his face (it looks like he has suffered a legit broken nose) and begins pummelling Hawkins in to the floor but in his blind rage Jeff Hardy is tripped up by Hawkins and Hawkins leaps over and tags in Ryder!

Ryder comes in and hits a spinning heel kick to the face of Jeff Hardy, who is knocked to the floor. The crowd boo as Hawkins slowly gets around the ring and pulls Matt Hardy’s legs away as Ryder goes for the pinfall.

Jeff Hardy showed a lot of heart kicking out there but the referee goes to check on Jeff Hardy but Hardy pushes him away and grabs Ryder. Hardy manages to outmanoeuvre Ryder and sidestep him and follow that up with an Irish whip. Hardy steams in and hits a running knee to the face of Ryder. Ryder falls to the canvas and Hardy continues his ascent and looks to be going for a Whisper in the Wind but he has enough momentum going and spots Hawkins and flies through the air AND TAKES OUT HAWKINS AND HIS OWN BROTHER! Hardy mistimed the jump and all four men are down at the moment and Matt looked to have accidentally felt the brunt of that blow. Jeff Hardy grabs the canvas and drags himself in to the ring but Ryder is aware of this and stamps on Hardy’s head before the referee drags him away. Hawkins has got to his feet and he runs in to the ring and, despite the referee’s impending warning, attacks Jeff Hardy. Hawkins and Ryder both grab Hardy’s neck and they hit a double Russian Leg Sweep, further inflicting more pain on Hardy’s broken face. Hawkins, meanwhile kneels over and Ryder places Hardy in the corner, Ryder runs up and leaps off of Hawkins’ back but HARDY MOVES OUT OF THE WAY and Ryder eats steel and Hardy punts Hawkins in the gut and quickly rolls up Ryder!

All that adrenaline must have gotten to Jeff Hardy because he looks extremely tired and he has to tag in his brother and Jeff has the chance to right now but his heart has ruled his mind at this point and he goes to attack Ryder. Ryder is playing possum, however, and pokes Jeff in the eye, who stumbles away. Ryder gets to his feet and hits a back suplex to Jeff Hardy! Ryder goes for the cover,

Ryder has a little argument with the referee over that seemingly slow count but he gets nothing out of it. Ryder grabs the legs of Jeff and drags him over to his own corner by his legs but Jeff kicks out of it and Ryder is knocked to the floor. Jeff has yet another chance to tag in but doesn’t take it as he goes to the top rope. Jeff Hardy kisses his fingers and gestures to the fans, he looks to be going for the Swanton but Hawkins puts a stop to it, shaking the ropes as Jeff’s groin area is caught up in the turnbuckle! Ryder suddenly leaps to his feet, obviously faking it, and gets to the top rope and with Matt Hardy being the law abiding citizen he is, doesn’t interrupt, and Ryder hooks the arm of Jeff Hardy and HITS A SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP ROPE! Ryder and Jeff are both down but Ryder turns over from his back and puts a hand over Jeff Hardy because only a hand is needed for the three count,

NO!!! Jeff Hardy manages to kick out, once again from that predicament. Ryder tags in Hawkins and Hawkins quickly goes on the attack on Hardy’s face. Hawkins hits a few closed fists shots on Hardy before picking him up and examining his handiwork. Jeff Hardy hits a few weak punches but Hawkins brushes them off and hits a Big Boot to Jeff Hardy. Hawkins stands there laughing but JEFF HARDY IS CLAMBERING TO HIS FEET! JEFF HARDY IS LOOKING FOR A FIGHT! Jeff Hardy puts his hands up valiantly , while barely able to keep a vertical base and being bloodied and bettered the crowd are applauding Hardy but Hawkins takes him out of his misery by damn near decapitating him with a huge clothesline! Hawkins picks Hardy up again, obviously not content with what he has already accomplished and he lifts Jeff up like a ragdoll and places him, lying horizontally on the second rope. Hawkins grabs Jeff by the head and rams his head in to the mat with a SPIKE DDT! JESUS CHRIST JEFF HARDY MAY BE KNOCKED OUT COLD!!! Matt Hardy finally gets in to the ring and declares enough is enough, he takes out Hawkins with a big boot and finally dismantles Ryder with a flying clothesline. Matt Hardy drags his brother right over to his corner and Matt clambers to the other side of the apron and tags himself in. Matt is a man on a mission right now as he dropkicks Ryder who foolishly gets back to his feet whilst Matt is on the warpath. Hawkins is brought to his feet by Matt and Matt Irish whips Hawkins but Hawkins attempts to reverse with a Big Boot but Matt Hardy ducks... SIDE EFFECT! Matt Hardy hits the Side Effect almost without notice and Matt goes for the cover,

NO! Hawkins manages to kick out at the last minute, half of the crowd gasp in shock as they are really getting in to this match. Hawkins manages to look up but only sees the disgruntled face of Hardy look down at him. Hardy knocks Hawkins’ lights out with a well placed kick before picking him up once again. Hawkins is then put in to place for a body slam, which connects with ease. Matt then lifts Hawkins up again, with a slight struggle this time, and kicks Hawkins in the gut and goes for the Twist of Fate! Hardy is about to drop Hawkins but Hawkins uses Hardy’s momentum and swings him back whilst Hardy was grabbing his own neck and he manages to bodyslam him in to his turnbuckle whilst harnessing Hardy upside down! Hawkins runs up and dropkicks Matt Hardy in the head, Hardy’s head snaps back violently to a few groans from the Smackdown announcers. Hawkins covers Hardy cockily

NO!!! Hardy kicks out but holds his neck in anguish. Hawkins cheekily slaps the back of Hardy’s head but that only infuriates Hardy, showing his inexperience, as Hardy kicks out at Hawkins, flooring him completely. Matt Hardy goes over to Jeff Hardy and tags him in at the same time as Hawkins tags in Ryder! Jeff and Ryder run at each other and they both take each other out with a double clothesline. Both men are down but Ryder gets up by the count of four by utilising the ropes to his advantage but Jeff is soon up. Ryder tells him to bring it and cockily dives out of the way when Hardy charges for him but Hardy wasn’t aiming at him as he leaps on to the top turnbuckle and hits the WHISPER IN THE WIND to a shell shocked Ryder. Hardy gets to his feet and picks Ryder up but Ryder punches Hardy in the face and Irish whips Jeff Hardy with little force, Jeff stops at the ropes, facing away from Ryder and leaps in the air and wraps his legs around the neck of Ryder in a highly skilled move, and attempts the leg scissors but Ryder lifts him up, looking for the Electric Chair Drop but Hardy rolls through with the Victory Roll!

No! Ryder manages to scuffle out of that one by the skin of his teeth. Ryder gets to his feet and Hawkins accompanies him, Ryder is helped up by Hawkins who quickly dispatched Jeff Hardy with a clothesline. Ryder then manages to hit his trademark move the lifting reverse DDT to full effect and as Hawkins moves to one side Ryder copies Edge’s mannerisms almost to a tee as he sets Jeff Hardy up for the Spear. Ryder waits patiently as Hardy gets to his feet and he charges at him and attempts the spear but hits HAWKINS who was right behind Jeff Hardy! Hardy kicks Ryder in the gut amidst all of the confusion and hits a TWIST OF FATE OUT OF NOWHERE!!! It could be all over now but Jeff Hardy doesn’t take the pinfall, he takes his shirt off (to screams from the ladies and screams, of a different nature, from the men) and staggers to the top rope... Matt comes over and tells him to just got for the pinfall but Jeff mistakes him for Hawkins who rolled out of the ring prior and kicks his own brother away inadvertently! The crowd gasp but Jeff Hardy is in the driver’s seat, despite seeing what has happened and goes for the SWANTON BOMB BUT RYDER MOVES OUT OF THE WAY AT THE LAST SECOND!!! Ryder and Hawkins get to their feet and lifts Jeff Hardy up, they easily dispatch of him with a DOUBLE EDGECUTION, straight on Jeff Hardy’s injured face. Ryder hooks the leg for the cover,

Hawkins and Ryder get the shock victory in the first defence of their title!

(WINNERS and Still WWE Tag Team Champions @ 9:42 - Hawkins and Ryder!)

[Backstage]

>>> A Shot of the underground parking lot. A long black limo enters from the side street and comes to a halt near the entrance to the backstage area. A well dressed driver emerges at the front and walks to the passenger door at the rear of the vehicle. He opens the door and after a few seconds, none other that Stephanie McMahon steps out with a big smile on her face.

Stephanie: Thank you. Now just stay here, I should be back within the hour. Be ready to go, it’s very important, I can’t be kept waiting around!

Driver: Of course Mrs McMahon.

>>> Stephanie smiles at the driver, turns and heads toward the entrance door.

[Interview set]

>>> Eve Torres is standing by with MVP.

Eve: Tonight, in a matter of moments, you go one on one with the Big Show, what are your thoughts at this time?

MVP: Thoughts, I’m a man of many! Everybody thinks that I should be scared of the Big Show! Why? Because he’s taller than me, he’s heavier than me and he’s been in the business longer than me. I say to those people, so what!

Eve: You seem confident!

MVP: Of course I’m confident, I’m the franchise player. I’m the man around here Eve and you don’t get to be the number one, highest paid superstar on SmackDown without having confidence. The fact of the matter is, the Big Show may be bigger, but he’s also a lot dumber and you know what that means, don’t you Eve?

Eve: (unsure) Em, no, not really.

>>> MVP throws Eve a dirty look!

MVP: It means that I can outsmart him. This business isn’t all about size and strength, it’s about intelligence and there ain’t nobody in the WWE with more intelligence than MVP!

>>> MVP turns and walks away!

[Announce table]

JR: MVP seems unfazed by the task at hand, but maybe this will change his mind, the tail of the tape.

>>> A graphic appears on screen showing The Big Show and MVP side by side with their height and weight noted.

Foley: Just take a look at this. The Big Show, at four hundred and forty one pounds outweighs MVP by a staggering one hundred and eighty-nine pounds. That’s incredible.

JR: And just take a look at the difference in height Mick. The Big Show is a giant seven feet and one inches tall whilst MVP stands at six feet and three inches tall. The Show is nearly a foot taller than MVP.

Foley: MVP is a hell of an athlete, but I just don’t know whether he can over come those sort of odds here tonight at Summer Slam.

JR: Well we’re about to find out!

[MATCH #2] - MVP VS The Big Show -

**CRANK IT UP**

*POP*

>>> Big Show walks down to the ring, rubbing his hands together and slowly rolling his neck and looking at the fans and clapping their hands on the way down to the ring

Chimel: Ladies and gentlemen, making his way to the ring, weighing in at four hundred and forty pounds, from Aiken, South Carolina THHHHEEEEE BIGGGGG SHOOOOOWWWWWW!!!

*POP*

Foley: The Big Show has been waiting for this moment ever since this match was announced!

J.R: MVP has been slipping out of the net for several weeks but I wouldn’t underestimate MVP, Mick.

**I’M COMIN’**

*HUGE HEAT*

>>> MVP leaps out of his inflatable tunnel in a buoyant mood, he looks at Big Show in the ring as he takes a deep breath and collects his thoughts.

Chimel: Making his way to the ring, two hundred and fifty two pounds, ‘The Playmaker’ MVP!

*MAJOR HEAT*

*BELL RINGS*

The match starts with The Big Show rubbing his hands together in anticipation but with MVP looking on at the struggle of what he is going to have to do to win this match. MVP and Show grapple in the middle of the ring but MVP escapes and slides out of the ring, this infuriates Big Show but he is a bigger man and waits inside the ring for MVP to come in. MVP runs around the side of the ring and slides in and dodges an oncoming punch from Show and as soon as Show turns around, he hits him with a dropkick. However, MVP ran in to a brick wall and it barely scratches Show as MVP scampers to his feet. Show runs at MVP, who retreats to the turnbuckle, MVP climbs up to the top rope and leaps OVER The Big Show and knocks his knees with a swift kick which forces Show to slightly wobble but Show regains his composure and goes after MVP. MVP retaliates with a few kicks to Show’s chest but Show grabs MVP’s leg and flips him over, making MVP land harshly on his chiselled face. Show lifts MVP to his feet and, having had enough of the games, plainly throws MVP in to the corner, signalling his intent.

Show silences the crowd by putting his finger to his lips, he then proceeds to slap the holy hell out of MVP with one of his oversized palms. One is enough for Show, who lifts MVP to the top turnbuckle. Show grabs MVP by the throat, he’s looking for a TOP ROPE CHOKESLAM! Big Show lifts him up but MVP lands, disappointingly, on the apron and kicks away at the shins of Show whilst still in his clasp. Show is forced to let go but MVP hits a major shot to the stomach of Big Show. MVP then grabs the neck of Show and leans back slightly and with all of his strength and momentum he manages to get The Big Show OVER THE ROPES with a modified suplex a la Benoit in the 2004 Royal Rumble! The crowd are quite astonished at the feat to say the least but MVP isn’t quite finished yet... Despite holding his back he leaps off of the apron and hits an impromptu leg drop to the back of Big Show’s head. Both men are down now but MVP looks like the man in the driving seat, if only slightly.

MVP grabs the apron and pulls himself up and in to the ring at the count of four. MVP cockily gloats at the state of The Big Show but The Big Show gets to his feet and glares at MVP with an icy, icy look. MVP looks to have dropped a brick (to put it mildly) as he clambers away from the ring as Show enters. MVP goes to the outside but quickly comes back in and slides under Show’s legs but Show grabs him and pulls him up. Show headbutts MVP and hits a massive clothesline, sending MVP to the floor. Show then bounces off of the ropes and attempts a big splash but MVP MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! MVP leaps to his feet, obviously playing possum, and waits for Big Show to get up. The Big Show is dizzy and holds his head but still gets to his feet. Show finally reaches a vertical base but MVP charges at him and goes for the DRIVE BY KICK but Show sidesteps and he goes for the CHOKESLAM! Show lifts MVP in to the air but MVP counters in mid air as he is coming down hits a DDT! The crowd are amazed by that reversal and some even give MVP cheers as he panders to the crowd, who still give him boos for being extremely cocky... MVP hooks the leg for a pin,

NO! Show kicks out but he looks very shaken from that big move he has just taken. MVP brings Show to his feet and kicks Show in the head and kicks him in the ribs. MVP attempts to go for the Overdrive but Big Show simply powers out of it. MVP then foolishly runs at Big Show who plants him with a massive sidewalk slam, Big Show follows this up with a pinfall,

MVP kicks out quite comfortably in all truth but he still felt the brunt of that painful move. Show picks MVP up once again and elbows him in his face and he then hooks his arm around MVP’s head and goes for a delayed vertical suplex, he suspends MVP in mid air for several seconds, showing his strength, before planting him back down to the ring again with a shuddering impact! MVP writhes about in agony but Show continues the relentless attack. Big Show mutters ‘This is what you deserve’ and he rebounds off of the ropes and finally hits that massive splash of his. Show combines this move with a pinfall attempt,

MVP gets a shoulder up, proving he isn’t done quite yet. Show clenches on to MVP’s arm meanwhile and nearly puts his arm out of socket whilst trying to lift him up. Big Show twists MVP’s arm and applies the armbar, Show drags MVP over to the corner and using MVP’s own arm, is able to smash MVP’s face in to the corner. Big Show twists the arm even further and shoulder blocks MVP in to the ropes. Show lifts MVP up, using MVP’s shoulder, and brings him back down to Earth, only to collide heavily with Show’s knee. Show effortlessly drags MVP back up to his feet and again applies the armbar but as he swivels MVP around he doesn’t bargain on MVP fighting back and MVP comes out of nowhere and spins around and hits a SUPER KICK! The crowd ooh and aah as Big Show theatrically collapses backwards and on to the mat. MVP, you could say, is looking quite pleased with himself as he stands by the ropes and admires his handiwork. MVP rebounds off of the ropes and gets ‘Ballin’’ as he drops the Ballin’ elbow straight on Show’s face. MVP hooks the leg, assuring himself he is about to grab the win...

NO! Unfortunately MVP needs to do a little more than that to keep someone like The Big Show, a former World Champion, down. MVP is somewhat annoyed at not being able to keep the giant down but his eyes nearly pop out of his head when he sees the Big Show beginning to get to his feet... MVP runs at The Big Show and attempts a clothesline but it doesn’t do much damage. The Big Show looks at MVP and simply picks him up, Show runs over to the corner but MVP slips out behind him and runs at Show, grabbing Show’s neck whilst he is running and attempts a Dudley Dog style move but fails epically when his crotch is caught up on the top rope. Show further inflicts damage to the lower region when he begins to shake the top rope and he then simply pushes MVP off of the ropes and back in to the ring. The Big Show smiles at the fallen body of MVP and picks him up and tucks him between his legs, Show signals for the end by raising his hand, he lifts MVP in the air, going for the powerbomb and he is about to slam MVP down to the mat MVP manages to clench his thighs around the throat of Show and cut off his air... The crowd are willing Big Show on but Big Show is already down on one knee and things are looking bad for the big man as MVP keeps him in a prolonged leg scissors. Show is on both knees now as MVP has now weakened Show enough to force his own legs over and push Show completely to the floor. MVP has the hold still locked in as the referee begins to check on Show. Show seems to have gone blue in the face. The referee holds Big Show’s hand up IT GOES DOWN ONCE... the referee holds it up again IT GOES DOWN AGAIN... the referee holds it up for a third time but IT DOESN’T REACH THE MAT. Suddenly MVP’s legs start to tremble at Big Show gets back to his feet, ever so slowly, and MVP is raised in to the air and he drops MVP down with the POWERBOMB!

That seems to have taken a hell of a lot out of both men as Show collapses in the corner on one side of the ring and MVP is left lying on the floor. Show tries to capitalise in the lull in action but hitting a leg drop to MVP. Big Show feverishly goes for the cover,

It has to be said that The Big Show didn’t put all of his effort in to that one as he pulls away. Big Show lifts MVP up and applies a monstrous headlock but MVP kicks at the back of Big Show’s legs. MVP escapes the hold and kicks Show in the gut and connects with a few knees to the face of Show. Show looks utterly exhausted as MVP charges at him but Show counters with a back body drop, making MVP land hard on the canvas. Show goes to the outside of the ropes and looks to be going up to the top rope (the leg scissors must have cut off precious oxygen to his brain) but MVP gets to his feet and hits a DRIVE BY KICK! This sends Big Show spiralling out of the ring and on to the floor outside but Big Show soon regains a vertical base as it didn’t really knock him off of his feet, just wounded him. MVP, meanwhile, has climbed to the top rope and leaps through the air and attempts a CROSSBODY but The Big Show catches MVP in mid air and slams his back in to the middle of the apron. Show tosses MVP in to the ring and goes in to the ring himself but The Big Show looks a shadow of what he looked before the leg scissors were applied in the match. Show lifts MVP up, with some struggle, it has to be said. Big Show quickly goes for the cover,

This match isn’t quite over yet as MVP aggressively kicks out. Show isn’t best pleased with MVP kicking out like that and begins to hit MVP in the face but MVP snipes back with a snide little heel to Show’s face. Show is taken aback like this and stumbles slightly, allowing MVP the time and space to get to his feet. MVP takes down Show (who has, by now, been weakened to a dangerous limit) with a wicked clothesline. MVP begins to scale the turnbuckle, he looks down and slightly wobbles. Show slowly gets to feet... the crowd urge him to turn around, as he does MVP leaps through the air and attempts a seated senton but Big Show catches him but this seemed to be MVP’s plan all along as MVP applies the leg scissors once again. MVP is cutting off Big Show’s airways in a crude and malicious manner but he couldn’t care one single bit. Big Show is down on to the floor and MVP tightens his grip even more before the referee tells him to get off, warning him of a stoppage. MVP lifts Show to his feet with a gargantuan effort and places Show on the ropes. MVP taunts to the crowd, being his arrogant and cocky self. MVP charges at Show, possibly looking for the Drive By Kick but Show grabs the throat of MVP. MVP looks petrified but kicks Show in the gut and hits the DRIVE BY KICK! MVP collapses on Show for the cover!

>>> Shane Mcmahon and Pat Patterson are in Shane’s office. Shane is dressed in wrestling attire and Pat is attempting to teach him some moves.

Pat: Now listen up, I’m a former Intercontinental champion you know. I know a thing or two about wrestling.

Shane: (bewildered) I’m sure you do, you were the first Intercontinental champion after all Pat.

Pat: (surprised) Really, I was?

>>> Stephanie McMahon walks in. Shane and Pat seem surprised to see her.

Shane: Hey, what are you doing here?

Steph: I can’t tell you. Lets just say I’ve got to do something and I don’t want to involve you because if I did I’d be putting you in harms way.

Shane: (concerned) Steph what are you talking about, are you in some kind of trouble. You know you can trust me.

Pat: and me…

Steph: I’m not in trouble, not yet anyway. Look I just came in here to wish you good luck for your match tonight. I know you can do it and I just wanted to tell you that I believe in you.

Shane: (hugs her) Thanks Steph, that means a lot to me. Whatever you plan on doing tonight, just be careful okay? I know I can’t talk you out of it, whatever it is, so I won’t bother trying!

Pat: Does that mean you’re not staying to watch the match?

Steph: I would love to Pat, but I just won’t be able too. Okay, I’ve got to go.

>>> Shane places his hands on Stephanie’s shoulders and looks her in the eyes.

Shane: Tell me your going to be okay.

Steph: I can’t do that, all I can do is hope I will be!

>>> Stephanie kisses her big brother on the cheek, turns and walks out the door leaving Shane rather confused and more importantly, very worried.

[Announce Desk]

King: What was that all about?

Cole: I have no idea King, but what I do know is that up next is a match the world has been waiting for. The Animal versus the Monster, Batista versus Kane. Take a look at how this match came to be.

* The Great American Bash. Kane attacks CM Punk and Batista during the world title match, costing Batista his opportunity to regain the world heavyweight championship.

* The next night on Raw a furious Batista spears Kane on the steel stage, but this only awakens the monster within Kane.

*The following week, Batista demanded that Kane come to the ring and fight him, but Kane would only go as far as the Raw stage, claiming it was no fun stalking an animal when it knows you’re coming for it. Kane then challenged Batista to a match at Summer Slam.

* Two weeks ago on Raw, Kane kidnaps Batista and takes him hostage in the boiler room of the arena. He then pours gasoline over a handcuffed Batista. As Raw goes off the air, fire engines and police cars speed toward the building. The question on everyone’s minds is did Kane torch the Animal Batista?

* Last Monday on Raw. Batista has not been seen or heard from since the dramatic events of the week before. In the main event, Kane is going one on one with world champion CM Punk. During the closing moments of the match, Batista emerges, body heavily bandaged. He attacks Kane and the fight spills to the outside of the ring where Batista spears Kane through the security barrier and they continue to fight into the crowd.

King: There has been a war raging between these two men for over a month now! Tonight it all comes to a head in the ring and I wonder Michaels whether either man will leave Summer Slam tonight the same.

Cole: This is going to be intense to say the least!

3!!!!

BATISTA WINS, BATISTA WINS!

Lillian: The winner of this match as a result of a pinfall, The Animal, Batista!

*HUGE POP*

(WINNER BY PINFALL @ 9:08 - THE ANIMAL BATISTA)

>>> “I walk alone” erupts throughout the arena and the crowd pop big time as the referee raises Batista’s hand in the air. Kane meanwhile rolls under the bottom rope and heads backstage.

Cole: Batista wins it, but one can assume that if Stephanie McMahon had not come out here, the result may have been in Kane’s favour.

King: Maybe, maybe not. What matters is that Batista won and that’s what the record books will show!

Cole: Kane you would think is gone in pursuit of Stephanie McMahon who moments ago came out here to ringside and stole the burlap sack that Kane has been carrying around with him for the past few weeks.

King: Stephanie McMahon better watch out because Kane is coming for her
!

[Backstage]

>>> A Panicked Stephanie McMahon races through the backstage area, burlap sack in hand. She looks scared. As Stephanie races past locker room doors, the lights start to flicker. With each steps she takes, a bulb explodes above her head. Stephanie screams. An enraged Kane emerges through the black curtain and into the backstage area. Production crew and WWE officials dive out of his way and he storms past. Stephanie spots the large blue double door that leads to the underground parking lot.

Kane: (in the distance) (screams) STEPHANIE!!!!

>>> Stephanie can hear Kane. She grabs the handle of the door and pulls down on it, pushing against the heavy door with her right shoulder as she does. The door opens out and we get a shot of the long black limo. Stephanie runs toward the limo, and struggles to get the door open. She eventually does and jumps in just as Kane emerges through the blue double doors and into the parking lot.

Stephanie: (panicked) (screams) Drive, drive!!!

>>> Stephanie frantically locks the limo door to her right and to her left. A loud thud causes Stephanie to scream. Kane is on the outside recklessly banging the roof of the limo wit clenched fists.

Kane: (shouting) I warned you Stephanie, I warned you not to get involved.

>>> The limo finally speeds off into the night, leaving a furious Kane looking on.

Kane: (to himself) (calmly) foolish, foolish little girl!

*fade to black*

[Interview set]

>>> Rey Mysterio is standing by with Torie Wilson.

Torie: Rey, tonight after four long weeks you finally get your hands on Chris Jericho! How are you feeling right now?

Rey: You know, before a big match, no matter who the opponent is I always feel nervous. My Dad always told me that having butterflies in your stomach was a good thing because it meant you cared. But tonight, I don’t feel nervous, there are no butterflies and that’s because I don’t care. I don’t care about Chris Jericho as a person and I don’t care what happens to him in that ring tonight!

Torie: This all started because you felt a need to defend the honour of Shawn Michaels, do you think Shawn is going to be watching at home tonight?

Rey: I know he’s going to be watching Torie because Shawn knows that this is as much about him and his fans as it is about me and my fans. I said I was going to teach Chris Jericho the meaning of the word respect tonight and I intend to do that. Tonight Chris after it’s all said and done, you will respect me and all that I stand for and if you don’t then I’ll keep trying until the day you finally realise what Y2J meant to all of these people and why this new attitude of your’s sucks!

>>> Rey walks off the set.

Torie: back to you at ringside guys.

[Announce table]

Cole: Thank you Torie.

King: Man it’s good to have Torie back isn’t it?

Cole: Sure is King! The time is upon us. The long awaited match up between Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho is next but before these two great superstars take to the ring lets take a look at what brought them here to Summer Slam in the first place.

* Raw, four weeks ago, the night after The Great American Bash. Chris Jericho is in the ring verbally attacking the character and career of Shawn Michaels when Rey Mysterio makes a surprise return, stopping Jericho and defending Shawn Michaels. Later that night, as Rey greets fans in the lobby, Jericho and his buddy Lance Cade attack Rey with a steel chair.

* The following week, Rey Mysterio is the scheduled guest on the highlight reel. However Jericho uses the time to berate Rey and his old foe, Shawn Michaels. For a second straight week, Rey interrupts Jericho and issues a challenge for a match there and then, not wanting to wait until Summer Slam, Jericho instead suggests Rey compete against lance Cade. Rey Mysterio excepts the challenge but during the match Jericho attacks him and a two on one assault ensues.

* Two weeks ago on the August 4th edition of Raw, Shane McMahon signs a match that forces Rey and Chris to team up in order to take on John Cena and CM Punk. Before the match, Jericho and Lance Cade take Mysterio out. Jericho figures that the match is now off, but in the absence of Shane McMahon, Pat Patterson assigns Jericho a new partner, Lance Cade.

* Last week on Raw, Chris Jericho upset at Patterson’s actions the previous week calls out the Hall of Fame legend and insults him before challenging him to a match. Patterson refuses but is forced into competing. After receiving a beating at the hands of Jericho, the outcome seems inevitable. But Rey Mysterio shows up, clearly in pain after last weeks brutal beat down and costs Jericho the match. Patterson pins Jericho thanks to Rey Mysterio.

King: Can you believe that Michael Cole, that old idiot Pat Patterson has a win over Chris Jericho and it’s all Rey Mysterio’s fault!

Cole: Jericho has been reminiscent of a man possessed ever since that embarrassing event six days ago and has promised to make Rey Mysterio pay for his actions here tonight at Summer Slam.

King: I hope Shawn Michaels isn’t watching because Chris Jericho has evil intentions in mind and we could end up witnessing a repeat of The Great American bash here tonight at Summer Slam.

[MATCH #4] - Rey Mysterio VS Chris Jericho -

“Don’t you wish you were me” hits!!!

*HEAT*

>>> Jericho stands in the centre of the ring, Lance Cade behind him.

Cole: Why is Lance Cade out here King? He has no business being out here. The referee should do something about this.

King: These days Lance Cade seems to shadow Chris Jericho. Where Jericho goes, Cade goes.

“Booyaka 619” hits!!!

*HUGE POP*

>>> The crowd come to their feet as Rey Mysterio charges out onto the Summer Slam stage, running from side to side as Pyro explodes.

The referee tries to stop Cade from entering the ring, but Cade forces the referee to one side. Cade raises the chair in the air behind and unsuspecting Rey Mysterio. Just as Cade is about to nail Rey, Jericho grabs his right foot. Cade turns to face Jericho who is screaming at him “what the hell are you doing? Rey favours his lower back as he gets back to his feet. Jericho is dazed as he struggles to his feet. Rey goes to the top rope. Jericho turns and Rey attempts a missile dropkick. WALLS OF JERICHO ………… WALLS OF JERICHO ……….

Rey is screaming out in pain, desperately trying to reach the ropes. The referee is down on the canvas asking Rey whether or not he wants to quit. Jericho is screaming at Rey to do just that as the fans cheer Rey on. Rey is agonizingly close to the ropes. Just as Rey is about to grabs onto the bottom rope, Jericho releases the hold, stands up and drags Rey by the legs into the centre of the ring. As Jericho prepares to synch in the walls of Jericho once again, Rey manages to wriggles free. Jericho turns and grabs Rey by the ankles. >>> Triple H drinks a mouthful of water and spits it out... Triple H looks in better shape, more reminiscent of the Game circa 2000 when he was all dominant. Triple H gets in to the ring and stares down Umaga as we get under way...

*BELL RINGS*

Triple H eyeballs Umaga and looks wearily at Umaga. Triple H then circles the ring and slaps his chest but keeps his gaze firmly on Umaga, who responds by slapping his stomach and unleashing a belting roar as the bell rings to get this highly anticipated contest underway... Triple H goes for a headlock instantaneously but Umaga powers him off and goes for a running block on Hunter who manages to move out of the way. Triple H goes for a knee to the gut but Umaga absorbs it and grabs Hunter by the hair, the referee orders Umaga to get off but Umaga headbutts Triple H to the floor; who clutches his face in agony. Umaga lifts Triple H up to his feet and ponders over what to do to him, he decides on chucking him in the corner. Estrada shouts at something that is inaudible as Umaga steams in and KNOCKS THE WIND OUT OF TRIPLE H WITH A RUNNING BLOCK!!! Triple H winces and falls but the ropes manage to just about hold him up. Triple H is thrown back in to the corner and Umaga goes for the same thing but the inexperienced and simplistic Umaga is no match for the skill of Hunter who dodges it with ease and unleashes a few half hearted right hands to the back of Umaga’s head before pulling away. Umaga runs at Triple H who attempts to turn it in to a double A Spinebuster but UMAGA COLLAPSES BACK ON HIM! Triple H looks seriously hurt after that move, he grabs his back but Umaga goes for the cover.

Umaga breaks up the pinfall himself, on Estrada’s orders of course and begins to go to work on Triple H but Hunter has a huge problem on his hands here as he can’t hit the spinebuster and he is being overpowered quite easily by the Samoan Bulldozer. Umaga lifts Triple H up once again and Umaga throws him in to the ropes, Triple H mulls on the ropes and as Umaga powers in he ducks and pulls the rope down and UMAGA GOES FLYING OVER THE ROPES!!! The crowd pop for this action as Triple H collapses in the centre of the ring in absolute agony. The referee asks him if he wants any help but Triple H is too humble for that and continues with the match and goes to the outside. Triple H is met by punches from Umaga as soon as he gets to the outside, Umaga throws him in to the apron as Triple H lets out a huge groan and a clench of his injured back. Umaga grabs Hunter by the hair and slams him down on to the Smackdown Announce Table. Umaga goes for another slam of Hunter’s head but Triple H blocks it and unleashes a few elbows to the gut and finally a sly kick to the shins to gain a small advantage. Triple H then Irish whips Umaga in to the steel steps to a huge pop. Umaga is finally brought off of his feet by physical contact by the Cerebral Assassin and that must have done wonders for Hunter’s mental attitude to this match as he goes straight on the attack, unfortunately, Estrada tries to intervene but Hunter is aware of it and throws him away but this gives Umaga enough time to get to his feet and brush Hunter’s attack off. Umaga rolls in to the ring but Hunter is in hot pursuit. Hunter and Umaga both get to their feet at the same time (with Umaga being the larger man) and they exchange glances in the middle of the ring and they go nose to nose but Umaga strikes first with an Earth shattering punch but Triple H retaliates with a haymaker of his own. Umaga forces Hunter in to the corner and starts unleashing punches but Hunter wriggles out of it and applies some pressure to Umaga but Umaga suddenly comes flying out of the blocks and hits a big clothesline, flattening Hunter. Umaga goes for the pinfall

Umaga isn’t too concerned that Hunter kicks out but Umaga lifts Umaga up and screams in his native tongue. Umaga stands there and observes Hunter, he has taken a multiple time World Champion, the current WWE Champion, and torn him to shreds in a matter of minutes here. Umaga slaps the face of Hunter who looks down and defeated but he looks up again and Triple H looks intense, TRIPLE H HAS SNAPPED!!! Umaga has awoken the beast once again and Triple H goes on the attack and forces Umaga in a corner, he unleashes a few knees on Umaga in the corner who slumps down to the mat. Triple H comes steaming in and hits a running knee which sends Umaga’s neck catapulting back at a sickening angle. Triple then tells Umaga to get up, Triple H observes the crowd cheering him on and he gives a roar and his trademark ‘King of Kings’ gesture as Umaga gets to his feet. Triple H hits a beautiful drop toe hold on Umaga and he bounces off of the ropes and he hits a knee drop to Umaga. HHH capitalises and goes for the quick cover to catch Umaga off guard.

Umaga kicks out but Hunter still pursues his relentless attack on Umaga and as he lifts Umaga up he roars out and manages to slightly lift Umaga up and he hits a modified facebuster on his knee but Umaga doesn’t stay down, in fact he doesn’t even feel it as he GOES FOR THE SAMOAN SPIKE EARLY IN THIS MATCH!!! Hunter ducks it and kicks Umaga in the gut and GOES FOR THE PEDIGREE!!! Hunter forces his hair out of his face and hooks the arms but Triple H’s arms start to contract and Umaga forces his way out of the Pedigree and stays on his feet. Hunter looks on in shock but Umaga has no time for shock and HITS THE SAMOAN SPIKE!!! The crowd look on in silence as that short adrenaline rush from Umaga looks to have taken a slight toll on him as he winces, he clambers over to the fallen body of Hunter and manages to put an arm over Hunter...

NO!!! Hunter gets a shoulder up, the ever resilient Triple H gets a shoulder up to the amazement (but, to be frank, an obvious decision as some of the crowd look discontented as the camera pans to them as if they knew it wasn’t going to end in six minutes) but Umaga still looks on in shock, he looks to Estrada as if to say ‘What do I do?’ but Estrada looks on in horror. Umaga lifts Hunter up and goes for a Samoan Spike once again but HUNTER DUCKS THE SAMOAN SPIKE!!! Hunter then attempts to pick up Umaga for his second attempt at the Double A Spinebuster but he barely lifts Umaga off of his feet, Hunter puts Umaga down and knocks him down cleanly with a stiff, closed, right fist; the simplest methods are always the most effective. Hunter stumbles over to the corner but he faces one of the biggest dilemmas in his career, he is having a crisis mid match and he needs all of his experience to help him win this match, all of the things he has done and seen need to come in to play if he wants to keep on to his title. He knows he can’t out brawl him, he can’t get near enough to outwrestle him and he sure as hell can’t beat him in this state of mind... we might just have to see a return of the old Game... Once Hunter has done pondering he reaches a vertical base and stares at Umaga who is unfazed by the man staring just inches across the ring from him but Hunter is unflinching and he takes Umaga back with a hard right hand, and another and he finishes off with a running shoulder block. Hunter grabs Umaga by the neck and he twists and pokes it and contorts it in to an awkward manner, keeping him in a headlock before turning attention to the arm and applying the armbar to the Samoan Bulldozer. Umaga reaches out for the ropes and manages to grab them, Hunter wisely lets go on the referee’s orders but swipes Umaga’s legs away with a chop of the knee. Umaga is down on one knee and Hunter grabs Umaga by the head but Umaga rises up and HITS A SPINEBUSTER!!! Umaga just took all of that momentum and killed it in it’s tracks as Umaga shows Hunter just how exactly it is done and he goes for the cover...

Hunter kicks out but Umaga just stares down at Hunter in discontent as the crowd suddenly become uneasy. Umaga picks up Hunter and slaps him once again... Hunter doesn’t react like he did earlier, in fact he doesn’t react in the slightest. Umaga goes for another slap but Hunter grabs the arm and points a middle finger at Umaga! The crowd are ecstatic as HUNTER HITS THE STUNNER!!! OUT OF NOWHERE! Hunter took Austin’s move! He is using everything he knows to beat the big man and he has even used a move he has been hit with numerous times in his career. Hunter is on the floor in a bad way, he is clutching his back and screaming out in agony whilst Estrada is willing his man, Umaga, on from the corner. Hunter manages to get to his knees and, after several seconds, he collapses on Umaga for the half hearted pinfall,

NO!!! UMAGA KICKED OUT! Most of the crowd were ready to rise for a standing ovation but many are left gobsmacked as Umaga kicked out. Hunter asks the referee if it was three as if he were to magically reverse the decision on his persuasion but it was definitely two. Umaga is crawling away from the ring but Hunter drags himself up to his feet and starts kicking the legs of Umaga, trying hard to keep him grounded and off of his feet. Hunter scales the ropes, in a daring move, and lines himself up. He leaps through the air and hits a knee drop to the back of Umaga’s head! The crowd cheer in anticipation but that just incensed Umaga and UMAGA GETS RIGHT BACK UP ON HIS FEET! Hunter just stares at Umaga who has had some kind of adrenaline rush. Umaga kicks Hunter in the gut and smashes his knee in to the nose of Hunter and drags him back up to his feet, Umaga palms Hunter in the back and lifts him up for a powerbomb. Hunter is trying valiantly to find a way out of it, he is clawing, pinching and scratching valiantly but to no avail as UMAGA DROPS HIM ON HIS HEAD WITH A VICIOUS POWERBOMB!!! Umaga goes for the cover,

Hunter kicks out! Umaga, not content with just beating Hunter, clearly wants to end his career here tonight as he lifts Hunter up. Umaga screams out and pokes out his thumb once again but Hunter charges in with a shoulder block which sends Umaga in to the ropes and Umaga rebounds off the ropes and third time’s a charm for Hunter as he finally hits the DOUBLE A SPINEBUSTER! Hunter quickly hooks the leg and goes for a cover,

NO! Umaga kicked out but Hunter can take heart from this as he has weakened Umaga enough to take him off of his feet by using the spinebuster. Hunter paintbrushes Umaga with forearm strikes and sneaky like knees to the back of the head before moving away at a pace from Umaga. Umaga slowly gets to his feet but as soon as he reaches a vertical base Hunter is on the attack once again, unleashing several right hands but Umaga absorbs it and goes for the SAMOAN SPIKE! HUNTER SIDESTEPS... UMAGA’S GROGGY AND HE STEPS STRAIGHT IN TO THE CROSSFACE! OH MY GOD HUNTER HAS THE CROSSFACE LOCKED IN ON UMAGA IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING!!! The crowd simply quite believe what is going on here, Hunter, with his own unique tribute to Benoit, is going to make Umaga tap with a move he tapped out to at Wrestlemania XX, it’s history rewritten all over again here as Umaga lifts his hand in the air and keeps his palm flat. Umaga is grasping at thin air and gasping for breath as he slightly inches towards the ropes, Hunter changes his grip from the head to the neck and the referee goes to get the hold changed but Estrada, out of the referee’s line of sight, grabs Umaga’s hand and pulls it on the ropes. The referee finally takes notice of this and orders Hunter to let go 1... Hunter is not letting go... 2... Umaga is choking here ... 3... Hunter clenches his fists even tighter... 4... Hunter can walk away with the gold right now... NO! Hunter lets go, maybe as a sign of respect but probably as a show of honour from the experienced veteran of the squared circle. The crowd haven’t let up from the immense excitement and are baying for Umaga’s blood. Hunter gets to his feet and tells Umaga to come and get him but Umaga stays on the floor... the crowd boo but Hunter, not wanting to waste time, but Umaga was playing possum (showing some intellect of his own) and starts pounding Hunter. Triple H is taken back as Umaga headbutts Hunter and as Umaga steams in Hunter rolls out of the way and UMAGA TAKES OUT THE REFEREE! The crowd start to witness the scene as the dust clears and Estrada is looking under the ring, he is frantically searching under there but can’t seem to find what he wants. Hunter, who was out of shot earlier, taps on the back and enquires ‘Looking for this?’ and HOLDS UP HIS SLEDGEHAMMER! Estrada runs in to the ring and Umaga gets in the way as Hunter goes up the steps in pursuit. Hunter stares Umaga down but wastes little time in NAILING HIM WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER! Umaga’s face has turned in to a crimson mask for perhaps the first time in his career. Umaga doesn’t know how to react, he surveys his face but suddenly goes ballistic, he grabs Hunter’s sledgehammer and BREAKS IT IN HALF ON HIS KNEE! Umaga rains down several punches on Triple H and he hits a powerful SAMOAN SPIKE! The referee is still not on his feet but he has awoken from his slumber, Umaga puts an arm over Hunter and the referee crawls over for the cover,

NO!!! Hunter gets a shoulder up! Umaga can’t believe it and confronts the referee, who doesn’t back down and gets a huge pop from the fans! Umaga lifts Hunter to his feet but Hunter grabs the referee and hits a low blow to Umaga with his other hand while the referee is distracted a la Ric Flair. Hunter continues the Flair portrayal by chopping down the giant by targeting the back of his knee. After several attempts the big man is finally unseated. Hunter gets to his feet... he lets out a huge smirk and looks around and STARTS STRUTTING! A WWE Championship match is no time for games but his intentions certainly become clear when a certain syllable is uttered... WOO! Triple ‘Haitch’ becomes Naitch as he takes a few moves from the Dirtiest Player in the Game and wraps Umaga’s legs around his own and twists his body over... FIGURE FOUR! FIGURE FOUR!!! Umaga is in the middle of the ring and he screams out in absolute agony, obviously never feeling such a move like this . There is no hope for Umaga at the moment as the crowd scream out as blood continues to drip from Umaga’s face but Estrada leaps up to the ropes and he grabs Hunter’s attention. Hunter has had enough of this snivelling little coward, he relinquishes the hold (to some boos, it has to be said) but he gets a massive pop when he throws Estrada in to the ring. Umaga has slowly got to his feet but Hunter pokes him in the air, Umaga flails about wildly like a wounded animal and he hits Estrada! Hunter kicks Umaga in the gut and attempts to go for the Pedigree! He has struggled before with this move and it seems no different now as Hunter’s arms start to separate once again but Hunter finally gains enough strength AND HITS THE PEDIGREE!!! Hunter goes straight for the cover; no messing about.

NO! Once again Umaga kicks out but that was definitely two that time, no ifs or buts. Hunter gets to his feet but Umaga is following shortly after but Hunter is relentless in his attack and mainly his punches, Hunter kicks Umaga in the gut and goes for a DDT but Umaga runs Hunter in to the corner. Umaga hits a massive shoulder block but Hunter retaliates with a kick to the gut as he steps up on to the bottom rope, HE IS GOING FOR A PEDIGREE! The fans stand up in shock and awe but Umaga back drops Hunter on to the mat, ending the fans’ chances of a Hunter win just yet. Umaga scales the heights of the top turnbuckle... he looks at Triple H and leaps through the air, attempting his splash but HUNTER ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! Umaga, who looks bruised and battered, uses the ropes to help him up but Hunter takes his legs away and goes for the roll up!

[Interview set]

>>> JBL is standing by with Layla

Layla: Tonight you have the opportunity to gain control of Raw for thirty days. However if you loose tonight…….(cut off)

JBL: I’m not going to loose tonight so lets not go there. Shane McMahon is not a wrestler. Yes he has had matches in past but that does not make him a wrestler, you got that?

>>> Layla nods.

JBL: Shane McMahon and I have something in common and that is that we are both millionaires. The only difference is I’m a self made millionaire. I worked damn hard, day in and day out to make my fortune where as Shane McMahon was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He didn’t earn one penny of his fortune unlike me and that makes me sick to my stomach. Tonight I get to do something that I’ve been thinking about non-stop for weeks now. I get to take away something important from Shane McMahon, I get to take away Raw and that’s going to feel better than making my first million!

>>> JBL walks off with a big smile on his face.

Layla: back to you guys at ringside.

[Announce table]

Cole: The stakes couldn’t be any bigger. If Shane McMahon looses here tonight, he relinquishes control of Raw for thirty whole days. However, If Shane McMahon is successful, JBL must leave Raw forever!

King: I’m with JBL on this one Michael. Shane McMahon isn’t a wrestler and JBL is a veteran and if you ask me that’s just to big an ask for Shane here tonight!

Cole: This all began in controversial fashion four weeks ago on Raw.

*Raw, four weeks ago, the night after the Great American Bash. Shane McMahon announces that he’s the new Raw general manager and signs a number one contenders match up between JBL and John Cena with himself as the special referee.

* During the closing moments of the match, JBL retrieves a chair from ringside and is about to nail Cena with it until Shane steps in and grabs it out of his hands. JBL is irate and gets in Shane’s face. Shane looses his cool, snaps and nails JBL with the chair. This act costs JBL the match and a shot at the world title at Summer Slam.

*The next week, JBL calls out Shane McMahon and demands an apology. Shane admits that his actions were unprofessional but states that JBL, had he used the chair, would of lost the match by disqualification. JBL doesn’t take the comments on board and insists that Shane cost him his shot at the title. Shane tells JBL in no uncertain terms to get over it! This infuriates JBL who pushes Shane and tries to get the new general manager to fight. Shane takes the high road and leaves the ring.

* Two weeks ago on Raw, JBL surprises Shane by again calling him to the ring. This time JBL has a proposition for Shane. He has had two contracts drawn up for a match between them at Summer Slam. JBL informs Shane that if he looses, he’ll leave Raw forever, but there of course is a catch. If Shane looses, JBL takes control of raw for thirty days. Shane flat out refuses to sign, but after several insults from JBL, Shane decides the risk is worth it and signs the contract. As Shane leaves the ring JBL viciously assaults him with a metal briefcase, leaving him a bloody mess.

Cole: That was two weeks ago. Shane of course was not on Raw last week due to the injuries he sustained during that encounter.

King: Shane is here tonight though Michael and he’s ready to go. It’s all on the line and as that famous ABBA song goes “The winner takes it all.”

Cole: Lets hand it over to Lillian Garcia.

[MATCH #6] - NO HOLD BARRED - JBL VS Shane McMahon -

*Here comes the money* hits!!!

*POP*

>>> Shane McMahon, full of energy, races out onto the Summer Slam stage. Shane shuffles about on the stage, throwing fake punches in the air.

Lillian: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest, scheduled for one fall, is the all or nothing, no holds barred match.

*POP*

Lillian: Making his way to the ring, weighing in at two hundred and thirty four pounds, from Greenwich Connecticut, Raw General Manager, Shane McMahon.

*HUGE POP*

>>> Shane steps into the ring. He throws his hands in the air, encouraging the sold out crowd to cheer and get excited.

Cole: Shane McMahon looks focused and confident, but will the severity of his situation weigh to heavy on his shoulders in this match up here tonight?

King: JBL has just as much to loose here tonight Michael. As Lillian Garcia said, this is an all or nothing match up!

*Longhorn* hits!!!

Cole: Here comes Shane’s opponent, the self proclaimed wrestling God, JBL.

*HEAT*

>>> A white limo emerges through a black curtain to the left of the Summer Slam stage. As the limo comes to a stop, Shane grabs the microphone out of Lillian’s hand.

Shane: (shouts) Ring the bell, ring it now.

King: What the hell?

*BELL RINGS*

Shane slides under the bottom rope and runs up the aisle. JBL’S driver steps out of the limo. Shane races over and pushes the man to the ground. It is only now that JBL’S entrance music cuts out. Shane walks to the passenger door of the limo and opens the door. JBL looks shocked at the sight of Shane McMahon, he was clearly expecting to see his driver. Shane nails JBL with a right hand and dives on top of him, connecting with fast and furious jabs to the upper body and face of the self made millionaire. Both men are inside the limo. Shane continues to lay into JBL with solid rights and lefts. JBL is stunned. Shane grabs JBL by the back of the neck and rams him face first into the window. JBL falls to the floor of the limo, holding his face in his hands. JBL is clearly in distress.

Outside the limo, JBL’S driver reaches into the limo and pushes a button of some kind. In the back of the limo, the huge panoramic sunroof opens up. JBL stands up, his head sticks through the huge opening in the roof of the limo. Shane also stands up and now both JBL and Shane McMahon have there heads and upper bodies sticking through the sunroof. Shane nails JBL with clubbing blows to the back of the head. JBL catches Shane with an elbow to the face and then another. JBL uses his upper body strength to lift his whole body up and out of the limo. JBL is now laying across the roof of the limo. Shane follows suit and climbs onto the roof. As Shane does this, JBL gets to a vertical base and seizes the opportunity. JBL starts to put the boots to Shane. Shane attempts to get up to his feet. As Shane gets to his knees, JBL takes a step back and charges at Shane, delivering a boot to the face of the Raw General Manager. Shane slumps back down across the roof of the limo. The crowd BOO JBL loudly.

JBL reaches down and grabs Shane around the neck and attempts to drag him up to his feet. As he does, Shane thinks fast and delivers a low blow. JBL lets out a shout and falls to his knees. Shane, also on his knees on the roof of the limo, grabs JBL and drives him face first into the roof. Shane is slow to get to his feet. JBL is still horizontal. Shane drops an elbow across the upper back of JBL. Shane lifts JBL to his feet and goes to scoop him up. JBL blocks Shane’s attempt and delivers three clubbing forearms across Shane’s back. Now JBL scoops Shane up and slams him down on the limo roof. Shane lets out a cry as he bounces off the metal. JBL drops an elbow across the chest of Shane. Shane rolls over and slides down the side of the limo to the arena floor. JBL walks the length of the limo and climbs down the hood and onto the arena floor. A revitalised Shane McMahon charges at JBL, catching him with rights and lefts to the mid section and the face. Shane does the Shane ‘O’ Mac shuffle and delivers a huge right that knocks JBL down onto the concrete floor.

Shane kicks JBL in the ribs and stomach. The self proclaimed wrestling God tries to get away, crawling along the side of the steel ramp until he finds himself in the aisle way. Shane follows behind slowly, happy to watch JBL struggle. They reach the ringside area. JBL uses the ring apron to drag himself up to his feet before rolling into the ring. Shane rolls under the bottom rope. JBL catches Shane with a vicious kick to the side of the head. Shane clings to the ring ropes as he struggles to get up. JBL grabs Shane’s right arm, winds him up and delivers a short arm clothesline that lays Shane out on his back. JBL drops down and makes the first cover of the match………..

1.…………..

…………

Shane kicks out after a one count to a huge pop from the sold out crowd. JBL grabs Shane by the hair and drags him up to a vertical base. JBL has a hold of Shane’s hair with his left hand and delivers a devastating European upper cut with his right. Shane’s body goes limp, but JBL keeps him on his feet, holding him up by the hair. JBL gets in Shane’s face and is screaming at him “I’m better than you, you’re nothing, you hear me, nothing.” JBL proceeds to whip Shane to the ropes. JBL sticks out the big boot, Shane spots it and ducks. Shane now behind JBL chop blocks JBL’S right leg. JBL falls to one knee but quickly gets back up, where Shane is waiting. Shane is shuffling around. He delivers jabs to the upper body and face before setting up his patented big right hand finish. But just as he is about to connect, he stops and kicks JBL’S legs out from under him. JBL goes down like a sack of potatoes. Shane quickly drops down and makes a cover………..

1.………..

2.…………

…………NO!!!

JBL kicks out with force and as he does he grabs his right knee, clearly in pain. Shane goes to work on the right knee, dropping an elbow across it. JBL is writhing in pain . Shane locks up the right knee of JBL and starts to hyper extend it. As he does this he screams at JBL to give up. JBL tries to reach Shane, stretching out his arms in a desperate attempt to grab the Raw General Manager, but Shane is too far away. The referee asks JBL if he wants to quite. JBL flat out refuses. Shane lets go of the right knee and drags JBL by the legs into the corner. Shane climbs out to the floor and proceeds to pull JBL’S legs out of the ring, one at either side of the ring post. JBL knows what’s coming and screams at Shane “don’t do it you son of a bitch, don’t do it.” Shane smiles at JBL as he grabs his right leg and swigs it into the metal ring post. JBL bangs the canvas with clenched fists. Shane slams the right leg into the ring post again as JBL shouts at him to stop.

Shane then wraps both legs around the ring post and in a shocking move, locks in the sharpshooter. The fans are on their feet. Shane’s face is red as the blood rushes to he head. JBL is screaming in agony in the ring. The referee is down on the canvas asking him is he wants to submit. JBL shouts as the referee, telling him to go away. After thirty seconds, with the blood rushing to his head, Shane has no choice but to relinquish the hold. JBL’S legs are still dangling over the side of the apron at either side of the ring post. Shane is up to his feet and grabs a steel chair. Shane walks over to the ring post and swings at JBL’S right knee. JBL at the last possible moment, drags his injured leg back into the ring, avoiding the chair shot. JBL is using the ropes to get to his feet, favouring his right leg. Shane rolls into the ring. Shane nails JBL with a right hand and sends him to the ropes. JBL’S right knee buckles as he reaches the ropes. He falls to the canvas and rolls to the outside of the ring.

Shane walks to the ropes, clings onto the top rope and trusts himself up and over the top. He lands across JBL on the outside. Shane is the first man back up to his feet. Shane walks over to the Raw announce table. He grabs a TV monitor from the table itself and turns around. JBL is still down on the floor next to the ring. As Shane walks over, JBL reaches under the ring and pulls out a trash can lid. Shane waits for JBL to get up, not realising JBL has a weapon. JBL, back to Shane, conceals the trashcan lid whilst using the ring apron to drag himself up. JBL turns, Shane charges at him with the TV monitor, but ends up eating metal as JBL nails him in the face with the trash can lid. Shane falls onto his back, dropping the TV monitor. JBL composes himself. He tries to shake out his right leg and limps over to where Shane is lying. Shane is starting to get back up. JBL bends over and picks up the TV monitor that Shane had been holding. JBL smiles as he KO’s Shane with a shot to the back of the skull with the monitor. JBL then wisely rolls Shane into the ring and follows in behind. JBL throws his right arm across Shane’s lifeless body…………

1.……………

2.……………

……….NO!!

Shane somehow manages to kick out. JBL can’t believe it. JBL struggles back to his feet, finding it difficult to place pressure on his right knee. He shakes out his right leg attempting to get the blood flowing again after the damage inflicted by Shane minutes earlier. Shane is back up, groggy and leaning against the ring ropes in order to keep his balance. JBL with force, sends Shane to the opposing ropes. Shane comes off the ropes and out of nowhere JBL delivers the CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!!! The crowd fall silent as Shane’s body violently crashes into the canvas. An exhausted JBL falls across Shane……………..

1.………….

2.……………

………….NO!!

FOOT ON THE ROPES, FOOT ON THE ROPES!!! JBL is incensed. He gets to his feet and drags Shane’s body into the centre of the ring. JBL makes another cover, this time hooking the right leg of Shane McMahon………….

1.……………

2.…………….

……………NO!!!

JBL can only get a two count as Shane somehow manages to lift his right shoulder off of the canvas. Shane turns over and begins to crawl toward the ropes. JBL drops a knee across the back on Shane, forcing him back down to the canvas. JBL gets up and proceeds to drop an elbow across Shane’s lower back. He repeats the process before dragging Shane up off of the mat. JBL scoops Shane up and delivers a backbreaker. JBL makes the cover………….

1.………….

2.………….

………..NO!!!

Shane kicks out and as he does he reaches for his lower back! JBL puts the boots to Shane, stomping on his injured back. The crowd boo JBL who appears unfazed. JBL then locks in a camel clutch. Shane is inches from the bottom rope and screaming out in pain. The referee asks him if he wants to submit but Shane refuses. Instead Shane reaches out and desperately tries to grab the bottom rope. JBL applies more pressure as he shouts at Shane to give up. Shane fights on, his back contorted and his face etched with pain. Eventually Shane grabs the bottom rope. JBL however won’t let go and the referee is powerless to stop him. The crowd are on their feet demanding the referee break the hold. JBL shouts at Shane “it’s over Shane, it’s over. Give up Shane, give up.” Shane McMahon however will not give up. Shane continues to scrap and claw his way along the canvas until JBL finds himself up against the ropes. Shane is inches from the edge and continues to move forward. As JBL gets caught up in the ropes he has no choice but to relinquish the camel clutch. Shane crawls over the side of the ring and falls to the floor.

JBL is quick to act and steps through the ropes and jumps to the floor. Shane is clutching at his neck, struggling to catch his breath. Shane’s face is crimson in colour, beads of sweat drip from his brow and his Shane ‘O’ Mac shirt is ripped. JBL with little remorse, forces Shane to his feet. Shane falls into the chest of JBL, unable to support his own weight. JBL laughs, before viciously whipping Shane spine first into the security barrier. Shane’s head and shoulder languish on top of the security barrier. JBL races toward Shane and clotheslines him over the security barrier and into the front row. JBL slowly climbs over the barrier, still favouring his right knee. Shane is on his hands and knees, looking down at the bare concrete floor. JBL delivers kicks to the ribs and face before unleashes a flurry of forearms to the back of Shane, that leave him laying face down, motionless on the arena floor.

JBL smiles, relishing the moment as he looks around the sea of humanity he’s standing amongst. Shane starts to move and as he begins to get up, JBL grabs him and rams him face first into the top of the security barrier. JBL backs up and charges at Shane. Shane lowers his head and backdrops JBL over the security barrier. Shane collapses to the floor as a result, holding his back in obvious pain. A pissed off JBL quickly gets back to his feet and begins to climbs back over the barrier. Shane spots a folded up metal chair laying near the security barrier and grabs it. JBL has one leg over the barrier when Shane nails him with a chair shot to the skull. JBL falls back over the barrier to the ringside area. Shane, slightly worse for wear, climbs on top on the security barrier and waits. JBL gets to his feet, Shane comes off the top of the barrier and connects with a clothesline. Both men are down. After a couple of seconds, Shane McMahon begins to stir. Shane slowly reaches his feet.

Shane walks over to the Raw announce table and removes the top panel. He then takes out the second TV monitor and discards it. Michael Cole and The King, still on commentary race to the SmackDown announce table, out of harms way. Shane turns and JBL is up. JBL nails Shane with a big right. Shane returns the favour and follows it up with two more big time shots to the face of JBL. JBL goes down. Shane reaches under the ring and pulls out a metal trash can. As JBL is getting up, Shane places the trashcan over the self made millionaires head and upper body. Shane then grabs a steel chair and nails the trash can on either side. JBL falls backwards across the announce table and the trash can falls to the floor. Shane turns and rolls into the ring. The fans comes to their feet as Shane leaps up onto the top rope and gathers himself. Then in a leap of death defying bravery, Shane jumps off the top turnbuckle and lands an elbow across the chest of JBL, driving him through the announce table.

Both men are motionless, covered in pieces of wood, metal and plastic. The referee checks on both men. Shane starts to move. He crawls through the rubble and gradually drags his body up to a vertical base. Shane staggers over to where JBL is laid out and drags him out onto the matting at ringside before lifting him up and rolling him back into the ring. Shane slides under the bottom rope and crawls over to where JBL is laid out. Shane throws his right arm across the body of JBL. The referee drops down and makes the count………..

1.…………….

2.…………….

JBL KICKS OUT! Shane can’t believe it. Shane uses the ropes to pull himself up. He then drags JBL into the centre of the ring and steps to the outside. Shane climbs up to the top rope once more. Shane turns on the top rope and goes for a moon-sault. At the very last minute, JBL gets his knees up and Shane lands across them. Shane rolls around on the canvas holding his stomach. JBL reaches over and covers Shane………….

Shane won’t stay down!

*SLOW CHEMICAL HITS*

The lights turn red and fire erupts through the Summer Slam stage for the second time tonight.

KANE…… KANE …….KANE!!!

JBL and Shane are still down on the canvas. Kane steps over the top rope. Kane’s music cuts out and the lights return to normal. The crowd are silent, not sure what to expect. Kane stands still for a couple of seconds before walking over to Shane. Kane looks down at Shane and shouts “blame your sister.” With that Kane drags Shane to his feet, grabs him by the throat and delivers a huge choke slam. The crowd are going nuts. Kane leaves the ring. The referee can do nothing but look on. JBL has seen none of this. JBL is slow to move but after a few seconds he crawls across the ring and covers Shane………..

1.……………

2.…………..

……………NO!!! FOOT ON THE ROPES!!!

For the second time tonight, the ropes save Shane. JBL gets up and kicks Shane’s right foot off of the bottom rope in anger. The crowd are chanting “Shane ‘O’ Mac, Shane ‘O’ Mac”. JBL stands back and waits. Shane stands up and turns. CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL, CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL!!! JBL makes the cover……………..

(WINNER BY PINFALL @ 14:28 - JBL)

*LONGHORN HITS*

*MAJOR HEAT*

>>> The referee raises JBL’S hand in the air. JBL can barely stand. Shane has yet to move.

Cole: Our announce table is destroyed and so is the former General Manager of Raw, Shane McMahon!

King: What is Raw going to be like tomorrow night with JBL is charge?

Cole: One can only imagine King, different I guess. Will Shane McMahon rule the day his little sister Stephanie messed with the monster Kane?

King: If Stephanie had left Kane the hell alone, Kane wouldn’t of attacked Shane here tonight. Although Michael, JBL had this match won in my opinion.

Cole: JBL was in control when Kane came out here, I’ll give you that King, but you can never count a McMahon out! Who knows what would of happened if Kane hadn’t interfered?

King: What a match, what a Summer Slam!!!

Cole: Still to come tonight, CM Punk puts the gold on the line against the challenger John Cena and then in a buried alive match, The Undertaker returns to take on his greatest advisory, Edge!

A video airs hyping the Unforgiven PPV, on September 7th.

[Backstage]

>>> Split shot of John Cena and the world champion CM Punk in their respective dressing rooms. Both look ready and focused.

Cole: There they both are, champion and challenger and you’ve got to wonder with minutes to go until their long awaited match up, just what exactly is going through their minds.

King: I’ll tell you what’s going through their minds Michael. There thinking what do I need to do to win the match.

Cole: This feud has become far more heated and intense than any of us could of imagined. The champion wants respect and the challenger wants the gold back!

* The Great American Bash. CM Punk walks out the champion after Kane attacks him on the outside of the ring, causing a DQ finish. The next week on Raw, John Cena defeats JBL to become the number one contender and will meet the champion, CM Punk at Summer Slam.

* Three weeks ago on Raw. During CM Punks main event match with JBL, John Cena makes an unscheduled appearance and joins the announce team. In his commentary John Cena refers to the champion as a rookie and practically guarantee’s victory at Summer Slam. He even calls Punks victory that night over JBL, a lucky win. As Punk celebrates, he and Cena lock eyes. Punk tells Cena that he’s not giving up the gold where as Cena informs Punk that he’s the next world champion.

* The very next week, the world champion, CM punk comes to the ring and says it’s time people started respecting him. He claims that Cena isn’t willing to accepts Punk as champion and that he still thinks he’s at the top of the mountain on Raw. Cena objects to the comments and comes out to defend himself. The two men trade words but keep their composure. That night Shane McMahon forces them to team up to take on Chris Jericho and Rey Mysterio. In the closing minutes of the match there is a miscue when Punk dropkicks Lance Cade into Cena. They clash heads and Cena falls to the outside. After the match Cena demands an explanation. CM Punk tries to leave three times but Cena keeps dragging him back. Punk snaps and nails Cena with a right hand. Cena returns the favour but follows it up with the FU leaving the champion laid out in the centre of the ring.

* Last week on Raw. CM Punk comes to ringside during John Cena’s match up with JBL seeking retribution for last week. CM Punk jumps up on the apron. Cena delivers a right hand and the champion falls to the floor. The distraction allows JBL to recover and he catches Cena with the clothesline from hell and picks up the big win. As CM Punk leaves he has a big smile on his face. Later that night the champion Punk went one on one with Kane. The match ended when Batista returned and took out Kane. Punk appeared hurt as the referee gave him his title belt. An enraged John Cena made his way to the ring. As Cena stood in the centre of the ring, Punk appeared to be out of it as he used the ring ropes to get to his feet, title belt clutched to his chest. As Cena stormed over to the champion to confront him, Punk revealed that he was in fact not hurt at all and nailed Cena with the title belt. A huge smile again spread across the face of the champion as he realised he had gotten the better of Cena for the second time that night!

Cole: I’m still shocked by that last piece of footage. Who could of known that the world champion CM Punk would be so sneaky and vicious?

King: When your backs up against the wall and everything you hold dear is on the line you do crazy things Michael and that’s what we saw from the champion last week.

Cole: CM Punk may regret those actions tonight because the challenger John Cena appears to be more focused than ever, as he attempts to take back the world title belt that the champion CM Punk holds so dear!

The sign reads “CM PUNK, straight edged, no backbone.” Another sign, being held up by an older fan reads “Cena had it coming” Lillian Garcia exit’s the ring as the challenger and the champion stare each other out from opposite sides of the ring. The lights come up and as they do the sold out crowd come to their feet.

Cole: There is an atmosphere here tonight, like one I’ve never experienced before. Punk, Cena, for the title, it’s time.

*THE BELL RINGS*

Cena explodes out of the blocks, as if the ringing of the bell had initiated a spark within him. Cena nails CM Punk with a succession of forearms to the face, stunning the reigning world champion. Punk is reeling, on the back foot as John Cena opens up with right and lefts to the upper body and midsection. Cena grabs CM Punk by the right arm and sends him to the ropes with force. Punk comes off the ropes, Cena drops his head and Punk connects with a kick to the face. Cena’s head snaps back and he falls backwards into the ring ropes. CM Punk, the champion charges at Cena connecting with a high knee to the chin of the challenger. Punk locks his right arm around the neck of Cena and attempts to hit his patented running bulldog. Cena puts on the breaks, grabs Punk around the waist and suplex’s him up and over the top rope. Punk hit’s the floor. Cena gathers himself.

CM Punk is rolling around on the floor, clutching his shoulder and screaming in pain. Michael Cole wonders whether Punk landed awkwardly on his shoulder when Cena dropped him over the top rope to the floor? John Cena goes to exit the ring, but the referee blocks him off, informing Cena that he needs to check on the champion, CM Punk. The referee drops to the floor where CM punk is laying visibly favouring his right shoulder. The referee asks Punk what happened to him? Cena is impatiently pacing up and down by the ropes looking down at Punk and the referee. The sold out crowd are booing loudly with a chant of “bullshit” starting to ring out. Punk screams at the referee “My shoulder, my shoulder, ring the bell.” The referee walks over to the ring announcers table and whispers something to Lillian Garcia. The capacity crowd know what’s about to happen and have come to their feet in protest. John Cena is staring a whole through the referee and shouts “you have got to be kidding me.”

Jerry the King Lawler thinks it’s all over. Punk is still down on the floor. The referee grabs the world title belt and starts to walk over to CM Punk.

Lillian: The referee has just informed me that CM Punk is claiming to have suffered a dislocated shoulder. The referee therefore is forced to award the match to John………..

John Cena grabs the microphone out of Lillian’s hand.

Cena: No, no, no, no way in hell is that lying son of a bitch hurt!

Cena walks over to the referee and grabs the world title out of his hands. CM Punk is leaning on top of the security barrier, his back to John Cena reminiscent of the scene’s we all witnessed this past Monday night on Raw. The referee is pleading with Cena to walk away. Cena has both the world title and microphone in his hands.

Cena: watch this ……….

John Cena drops the microphone and walks over to CM Punk. Cena spins the champion around. And goes to nail Punk in the face with the belt. Punk out of instinct raises both hands in front of his face. Cena stops before the belt connects with Punks face. The referee looks on furious as he realises CM Punk is not hurt and has been lying to him all along. John Cena is smiling as CM Punk realises the game is up and starts to plead with the referee who is screaming “wrestle, the match continues, wrestle…” Punk is shaking his head. Cena has seen and heard enough. He nails Cm Punk with a big right hand and grabs him around the back of the neck. Cena rams Punk face first into the top of the SmackDown announce table. Punk’s head snaps back on impact. Cena scoops Punk up and press slams him to the floor. Punk grabs him back on impact with the floor and lets out a groan. The crowd are chanting for Cena as he drags CM Punk to his feet and rolls him under the bottom rope and back into the ring. Cena follows in behind as does the referee.

The King and Michael Cole comment on the new CM Punk attitude and how the old CM Punk would of never pulled a stunt like we just witnessed. Cena is stalking Punk in the ring who is struggling to recover. CM punk is up, but not for long as Cena explodes with a running clothesline that turns Punk inside out. Cena makes the first cover of the match …………….

1.………………..

2.………………….

…………NO!

Punk kicks out to a unanimous boo from the crowd. Cena, still down on the canvas with Punk, locks in modified sleeper. Punk reacts quickly, wrapping his right leg around the ropes. The referee forces Cena to relinquish the hold. As Cena does this, the champion quickly rolls under the bottom rope to the floor. Cena steps out onto the apron, Punk turns and Cena dives off the apron. As Cena attempts to connect with a clothesline, CM Punk reacts, connecting with a martial arts kick to the side of Cena’s skull. Cena goes down as Punk scrambles to get back in the ring. The referee starts a ten count. Punk is happy to look on…….

Cena lifts his right shoulder up off of the mat to an almighty roar! Punk gets up and takes a step back allowing Cena to regain a vertical base. As Cena does Punk catches him with a spinning open hand fist to the side of the head. Cena stumbles to his right and finds himself in the corner. Punk makes his way to the opposite corner before charging at Cena with a full head of steam. As the champion comes in for the high knee strike, Cena moves out of the way and Punk connects with the turnbuckle. Cena nails Punk from behind with a forearm to the back before ramming him face first into the top turnbuckle repeatedly. Cena backs up! A worse for wear CM punk falls out of the corner and finds himself in the centre of the ring. Cena goes behind Punk and hit’s the ropes. THROWBACK…….

Punk is down. Cena reaches over and makes the cover………

1.……………………

2.………………….

…………………NO!!!

The champion shows us what lead him to the title in the first place, kicking out just before the referee was about to bring his hand down for the three count. John Cena doesn’t dwell on the near fall. With CM Punk still on his back on the canvas, John Cena comes to his feet. Cena stands over Punk, looking down at the reigning champion before lifting his head up and staring out at the crowd who have realises what’s coming up next. Cena dusts off his shoulders to a huge pop and then delivers the FIVE KNUCKLE SUFFEL…………….

CENA COVERS………….

…………….PUNK KICKS OUT!

Groans from the crowd. Michael Cole and The King applaud Punks fight to keep hold of the world title with the King claming “it’s the only thing he cares about.” Cena is on his knee’s and turns his head to the corner before getting back up to his feet. In an uncharacteristic move, John Cena steps out onto the apron and begins to climb to the top rope. The camera picks up on the worried expressions of several younger fans at ringside as they look at Cena step onto the top rope. CM Punk, realising what’s going on grabs the referee by his shirt and pushes him into the ropes. Cena looses his balance and falls awkwardly on the top turnbuckle. Punk slowly gets back up and ignore the referee’s angry screams that are directed at him. Punk walks into the corner and catches Cena with a kick to the side of the head. Punk then climbs up onto the second turnbuckle and hooks Cena.. Punk is about to deliver and suplex from the second rope, but stops suddenly and smiles. The champion then proceeds to climb to the top rope, dragging a dazed John Cena up his feet. Both men are tittering on the top rope. Punk hooks Cena once again and goes for a super-plex. Cena blocks it and catches Punk with a jab to the gut. Punk perseveres and again goes for the super-plex.

Cena unloads with a furious flurry of right’s and left’s to the mid section of Punk before getting free and pushing punk off the top turnbuckle. Punk crashes to the mat below. Cena gathers himself and his balance as he stands tall on top. CM punk is struggling to get back to his feet and is up to one knee when Cena comes off the top, landing a leg drop across the back of Punks skull and driving the reigning champion face first into the canvas.

THE CROWD ARE GOING NUTS!!!

Cena however is unable to make the cover, clearly in pain after landing such a high impact move. After several seconds laid out on the canvas, Cena crawls over to where CM Punk is laid out and hasn’t moved and inch. Cena slowly rolls the champion over onto his back and throws his right arm across the chest of Punk. The referee drops down………………

1.…………………

2.…………………….

…………………PUNK KICKS OUT!………………. PUNK KICKS OUT!

Cena is to exhausted to react. His arm is strewn across the ravaged body of his advisory. Cena shouts at the referee to count again………

1.…………………

………….NO!!!

This time CM Punk kicks out with more conviction. Both men attempt to get to their feet. Punk is laying on the second rope, his upper body rested against the rope itself, his head sticking through. Cena is up! He slowly walks across the ring and clasps his hands around the skull of Punk, in a vice like grip. Cena starts to choke Punk on the second rope. The referee steps in and makes Cena break the choke. Cena steps out onto the apron’s edge. Punk is hung up on the second rope. Cena drops an elbow across the back of Punks skull. CM punk falls back on the canvas, hands on his throat, gasping for air. Cena steps back into the ring and walks over to Punk, who’s laid out on his back. Cena stomps on Punks face before running to the ropes and coming off with a leg drop across the throat of the champion. Cena covers ………………..

1.…………………..

2.………………………

…………………..NO.

Punk lifts his right shoulder off the mat just before the count of three. The champion rolls over and begins to crawl toward the ropes, clawing and scratching the canvas in an attempt to escape the challenger John Cena. Cena watches Punk, as he tries to get away. Cena walks behind the champion. As Punk reaches the ropes, Cena grabs his right ankle. Cena then proceeds to drag CM Punks body backwards into the centre of the ring. Cena drops to the canvas, STFU………. STFU …………. CENA HAS IT LOCKED IN!!!

Punk is screaming, violently tossing and shaking his upper body and head, desperately clawing at Cena’s hands as they lock on around his chin. The champion is in trouble, his face now bright red in colour. Cena is shouting at Punk, demanding he tap out. “Tap out you son of a bitch, tap out”. The referee is down on the canvas, facing the champion. Punk is screaming at the referee “NO, NO, NO” as the referee asks him whether or not he wants to give up, whether or not he wants to quit. Michael Cole and the King announce that “it could be all over for the champion.” Punk, a changed man in recent weeks, still has the fight of a champion as he begins to inch closer to the ropes, somehow dragging Cena’s muscular frame across the canvas. The crowd are not cheering the champion on as they did weeks before, instead the pro Cena crowd are booing CM Punk and he stretches out his right arm. The bottom rope is now inches away from his finger tips. Cena is viciously straining Punk’s head and neck, intensity etched across his face.

PUNK REACHES THE BOTTOM ROPE!!!

The champion locks his fingers around the rope, as if he were holding on for dear life. Cena still has the STFU locked in, refusing to let go. Punk is fading, slipping into unconsciousness. The referee is screaming at John Cena to release the hold. The referee starts to count Cena……….

1.………………

2.…………………..

Cena it seems is oblivious to the referee!

3.…………………..

4.……………………….

Just as the referee turns to the ring announcers table, Cena realises the danger and releases his grip on the champion CM Punk. The referee screams at Cena “I’ll disqualify you, you here me, do it again and it’s over.” Cena is up and uncharacteristically is arguing with the official, threatening him. Cena informs the official that “If you disqualify me it will be the last thing you ever do.” Punk is holding onto the ring ropes, dragging his body upward. Cena is face to face with the referee. The crowd are screaming at Cena, trying to warn him that the champion is up. Cena turns and Punk goes for a martial arts kick to the side of the challengers head. Cena has is scouted and ducks. CM Punk’s right foot connects with the skull off the referee, who goes down instantly!!!

THE REFEREE IS DOWN AND OUT OF IT!!!!!!

Cena unloads on the champion, connecting with stiff shots to the side of Punk’s skull. Punk is backed up
against the ropes. Cena takes a step back and goes to clothesline Punk over the top rope. Punk catches Cena with a reverse elbow to the jaw before grabbing him by the back of the neck and throwing him through the ropes to the floor. The champion immediately goes to the corner and proceeds to climb all the way to the top rope. Cena is up. Punk comes off the top and lands a cross body. Both men are down, but not for long. The champion Punk grabs Cena and nails him with rights and lefts to the face before getting to his feet. Punk walks over to the SmackDown announce position and grabs a steel chair. He turns. Cena is on his feet. Punk swings, Cena ducks. CM Punk turns around, chair still in hand. Cena kicks Punk in the gut, grabs the chair out of his hands and brings it down across the back of the champion. Punk lets out a scream. Cena charges at Punk, chair in hand. Punk delivers a drop toes hold causing Cena to go down head first into the steel chair.

CENA IS BUSTED WIDE OPEN!!!

Punk shows no remorse, quickly grabbing Cena and ramming him face first into the steel steps. Cena’s head bounces off with a sickening thud. Punk repeats the action, again Cena bounces face first off the steel, this time falling backwards onto the floor. Punk stands over the bloody Job Cena, a huge smile stretches across his face. The fans at ringside are shouting abuse at the champion, he seems unfazed by it. Punk drags Cena to his feet. Cena falls back against the security barrier, unable to keep his balance. Punk slaps Cena cross the face. Blood stains the champions hand. Punk rubs his hand across his chest, smearing Cena’s blood onto his own skin. The champion then hit’s a standing dropkick that knocks Cena over the security barrier and into the front row. The referee has yet to move and is still laying face down in the centre of the ring. Punk climbs on top of the security barrier. As Cena struggles to his feet, Punk dives on top of him taking them both down onto the exposed concrete floor.

The champion CM punk quickly regains a vertical base, stomping on John Cena who remain down on the concrete floor. Punk drags Cena up and throws him back over the security barrier. Again Punk climbs on top of the barrier. This time however, John Cena gets back to his feet in time and grabs the champion, slamming him to the floor. Punk grabs his back on impact. Cena rolls Punk back into the ring. Punk gets to his feet. Cena steps into the ring, blood stickling down his brow. As Cena approaches the champion, Punk attempts to nail him with a spinning open fist. Cena gets his arm up and blocks it and nails Punk with a right hand. Punk responds with a kick below the belt that causes the challenger to fall to the mat in agony. Punk covers………

………………..There’s no referee. Punk get’s to his feet and walks over to where the referee is laid out. Punk shoves the referee with his right foot, but he doesn’t move. Punk drops down to the canvas and starts to shake the referee, who begins to come around. Punk gets back to his feet and turns, Cena is up, SPINE BUSTER!!!!! Cena covers. No referee. Cena slams his hands on the canvas is frustration. This time it’s an angry Cena who walks over to the referee and attempts to revive him. Punk gets back to his feet and comes up behind Cena. CENA KICKS OUT! CM Punk can’t believe it, he had this match won. Cena is still laid out on the canvas. Punk steps out onto the apron and connects with a spectacular slingshot summer-Sault senton. He covers, hooking Cena’s leg…………. The referee still groggy is slow to make the count ………………..

1.………………..

2.……………………

……………..NO, NO, NO!!!

Cena will not give up! Punk is deranged, tearing at his hair as he sits up, Cena’s body behind him. Punk gets up. The referee is leaning on the top rope, trying to revive himself, his back to the champion. Punk dropkicks him and he falls to the outside. Michael Cole questions why CM Punk would do that. Seconds later, Punk rolls to the outside on the opposite side of the ring. Punk drops to his knee’s and begins to look for something under the ring. Moments later he pulls out a table, which gets a pop from the crowd. Punk slides the table into the ring. He then climbs back into the ring and sets the table up in the corner. Cena is up and surprises Punk as he explodes, catching Punk with a clothesline that knocks him to the canvas. Cena spots the table that Punk has set up and smiles, his white teeth, a stark contract to his blood stained face. Cena grabs Punk by the hair and drags him to his feet. Cena nails Punk with several rights before laying the champions body out on the table. Cena steps out onto the apron and begins to climb to the top rope.

CM punk begins to move and slides off the table. He steps onto the first turnbuckle and kicks Cena, who is on the outside climbing to the top rope in the side of the head. Punk continues to climb to the top rope inside the ring, where as Cena continues to climb to the top rope from the outside of the ring. Both men trade shots as the climb in an attempt to reach the top rope first and stop their opponents. CM punk begins to stir. He throws the shards of table off of his battered and bruised body. The champion rolls over and throws his right arm across the upper body of the challenger John Cena. Again the referee is nowhere to be seen and for the second time tonight the champion CM Punk has the match won! Suddenly the referee gets to his feet and rolls into the ring. He slowly crawls to the corner where Punk has Cena covered………….

1.…………………..

2.……………………..

………………….NO!!!

Cena gets his left shoulder off of the canvas. Huge pop. Punk is in too much pain to react, instead he just lies on the canvas motionless. John Cena, a bloody mess, now covered in pieces of fragmented table begins to move. Amazingly Cena starts to drag his body up as the disgruntled champion CM Punk sits motionless on the canvas, face buried his hands. “Let’s go Cena, let’s go Cena” echoes throughout the arena. Michael Cole notes that “CM Punk has done everything he can do to the challenger John Cena and yet Cena is still in this match.” John Cena is up, but dazed and slightly worse for where in the corner. CM Punk shakes off the thoughts of what might have been and gets back to his feet. He to stands in the corner, back against the turnbuckles. Cena stands across the ring in the opposite corner. Both men lift their heads and look at the other. Punk’s arm has been cut and blood is trickling down to the back of his hand. Cena is about to hit the FU, but Punk somehow manages to break free and slide off of Cena’s back. Cena turns to face Punk. This time it’s Punk who get’s Cena up across his back. The champion is clearly struggling to hold up the heavier Cena as he prepares for the GTS. As Punk goes for it, he is unable to elevate Cena, who lands on his feet and avoids contact with the knee of the champion. Both men land right hands. Punk goes for his trade mark roundhouse kick. Cena catches hold of Punk’s foot and spins the champion around before taking him down with a clothesline. Punk is laid out on the canvas. [Announce table]

JR: The time is upon us! I’m joined at this time by my former announce colleague from Raw, Jerry the King Lawler as we get set to call the inter-promotional Main Event! Great to back calling the action with you King.

King: I’m just relieved to be away from Michael Cole. (laughs)

JR: I’m straying out of that one. So ladies and gentlemen, it will be The R rated superstar Edge going up against the venom of the WWE The Undertaker in a buried alive match. The rules are simple. The only way to secure victory is to somehow drag your opponent from the ring to the grave site at the side of the stage and burry your opponent alive!

King: Unbelievable.

JR: This all out war between Edge and The Undertaker has raged now for over nine months. It all began at the Survivor Series back in November during the Hell in a cell match between The Undertaker and the Animal, Batista!

Edge: I, I know your every move

Followed me for a year (echoes) year… year

I've heard your every word

I know you well

Edge: I know his every move… threats… meaningless… I’ve beaten him and he’s beaten me.

and I've,

got nothing left to prove

Undertaker: The beginning and the end… Alpha and Omega

your threats I find absurd

I am your hell

Edge: The end of an era…

Every time,

You think that I'm done

Undertaker: I always return…

I come back stronger (stronger)

Every time,

Edge: He will be buried alive… FOR GOOD

You think that you've got me

I will fight you

Edge: I don’t care about family… it ends now.

and I will put you in the ground

I will fight,

Undertaker: It finally ends… Summerslam.

till there's nothing left

till my legs are gone

Clips of Edge/Undertaker at Wrestlemania XXIV

you won't forget me

'cause I will fight,

Edge beating Undertaker at One Night Stand

till my final breath

just to see you fall

Edge: Want to fight? You’ve got me right now…

I'll make you fear me

Every time,

[Announce Table]

JR: Can Edge go to another level here tonight and walk out victorious? I honestly don’t know.

King: This is the Undertakers match JR, he invented the buried alive match and in his career has competed in this type of match numerous times. Edge has never competed in a buried alive match and that gives the advantage to The Undertaker.

JR: The Key to winning this match may not come down to who’s better, it may simply be a case of how many guys does Vickie Guerrero have under her thumb backstage because rest assured folks, our general manager has no intentions of watching her husband loose to The Undertake here tonight and be buried alive.

King: The time for questioning and pondering is over JR. It’s time for The main event!

[MATCH #8] - INTER-PROMOTIONAL BURIED ALIVE MATCH - Edge VS The Undertaker -

**YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME…**

**METALINGUS**

*HEAT*

>>> Edge takes his time walking to the ring with his shades and jacket on, Edge throws his shades away and spits out the gum. He points his arms in to the sky as his pyro goes off. Edge slides in to the ring and poses at all four corners of the ring.

Chimel: Ladies and gentlemen, making his way to the ring, weighing in at two hundred and fifty pounds, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada ‘The Rated R Superstar’ EDGE!

*HEAT*

J.R: The silence in the arena is eerie and puts up the hairs on the back of my neck but this is it, as the video package suggested, this is going to be a fight plain and simple.

**GONG**

**GRAVEYARD SYMPHONY**

*HUGE POP*

>>> The Undertaker comes down to the ring, surrounded by druids, they chant a haunting tune as The Undertaker slowly ‘floats’ to the ring with steam surrounding even the bowels of the arena.

Chimel: Making his way to the ring, weighing in at three hundred pounds… THHHHEEEEE UNNNNNDDDDERRRTAKKKKEEERRRR!!!

*MAJOR POP*

>>> The Undertaker gets in to the ring and removes his leather jacket and goes down on one knee and pokes out his tongue and forks it out. The lights turn blue and finally back to normal as the crowd cheer for this one big time in anticipation…

*BELL RINGS*

The Undertaker takes his hat off and gets in to the ring. The bell rings and the crowd cheer in anticipation. The atmosphere thickens as the noise from the crowd become deafening. Edge rubs his chin, he understands it… this is it. The end of the road, the end of an era… it’s going to end now. This will be a fight plain and simple and someone will be buried alive. Edge and The Undertaker lock up in the middle of the ring but both pull away and circle each other. They lock up once again and Edge gets Undertaker in to a headlock but The Undertaker fights out of it and pushes Edge in to the corner. The Undertaker starts unleashing punches early on to Edge who slips away and bounces off of the ropes and hits a clothesline to get things really started! The Undertaker is only knocked back however and keeps coming at Edge and he hits a clothesline to Edge who is also knocked back but Edge attempts A SPEAR EARLY ON but The Undertaker gets out of the way and Edge has to stop himself from running out of the ring and uses the ropes to stop himself. The Undertaker runs in and unleashes a few punches on the unwitting Edge who staggers back but responds quickly with a few punches of his own but no-one can match The Undertaker in the brawling department as Edge is easily backed in to a corner by the Phenom.

Undertaker grabs Edge by the hair and starts kneeing him in the face to a few good pops from the fans. Edge charges at The Undertaker but EDGE IS THROWN OVER THE TOP ROPE by a back body drop but he manages to stay in the ring but on the other side of the ropes. Edge grabs The Undertaker’s neck and hangs him up on the ropes and sends him rebounding off of the ropes. Edge dusts himself off, now on the outside of the ring, but he didn’t count on The Undertaker LEAPING OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TAKING OUT EDGE! HOLY SHIT!!! The Undertaker put his own body on the line there to take out Edge and it nearly backfired but thankfully for the Undertaker it clearly didn’t. The Undertaker slowly makes his way to his feet and he drags Edge along with him up the ramp. The fans cheer because they know they are inching closer to the grave. The Undertaker shoves Edge in to the barricade and lifts him up and plants his face straight on the barricade in relentless fashion. The Undertaker continues to take Edge up the ramp and there seems to be two random chairs at the top of the ramp, by the stage equipment and the like off of the stage area ten foot down.

The Undertaker continues to pummel Edge as he goes up the ramp but Edge gains the advantage with a sneaky low blow as Edge pushes The Undertaker TOWARDS THE GRAVE the Phenom is teetering on the edge but fights his way out of this dangerous predicament by the skin of his teeth. The Undertaker goes down the steps to the stage equipment to the steel chairs whilst Edge is writhing in agony on the floor. The Undertaker ominously throws the chairs up to the ramp as the crowd pop big time for this action. The Undertaker gets up to the ramp and grabs the steel chair. Edge has suddenly grabbed the other steel chair and climbs to a vertical base on the ramp. We are at a stalemate here as both men are equipped with heavy duty steel chairs and both look eager to swing. Edge swings first and knocks the chair out of The Undertaker’s hands. Edge strikes The Undertaker in the chest with the chair and The Undertaker collapses to the floor with his head on the steel chair that he just dropped. Edge gets a maniacal look in his eyes… HE IS GOING TO CON CHAIR TO THE UNDERTAKER ON THE DAMN RAMP!!! Edge carefully sets The Undertaker up and lifts the chair up and swings down with the chair but The Undertaker ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! Edge is dazed and confused and The Undertaker grabs Edge by the throat and gets to his feet, he is going to deliver a chokeslam AND HE IS GOING TO CHOKESLAM HIM TEN FEET DOWN OFF OF THE STAGE!!! The referee tries to reason with The Undertaker but, in all honesty, there is no reason for him being there as The Undertaker clearly has his intentions set on Edge right now after that sneak attack just two days ago on Smackdown.

The Undertakers shakes his head at Edge and looks towards the grave as well and starts walking towards that but Edge pokes the eye of The Undertaker but this makes him even more angry and he clasps Edge’s throat even tighter. Edge hits a low blow once again and picks up the steel chair and whacks The Undertaker around the face with it but, surprisingly, doesn’t make him bleed. The Undertaker shakes this off and hits a big boot to the steel chair which catapults back in Edge’s face. The Undertaker rams Edge against the actual stage and starts beating on him and throws the steel chair away from Edge’s reach. The Undertaker decides against the chokeslam this time and instead throws him against the stage once again and attempts a Big Boot but Edge ducks completely and kicks The Undertaker in the gut and hits an EDGECUTION! The crowd are stunned to silence as Edge beams at the fallen Undertaker. Edge picks up the steel chair once again and doesn’t bother being elaborate and simply smacks the holy hell out of Undertaker with a steel chair to the back of the head. Edge looks back at the grave and smirks and picks The Undertaker up and drags him towards the grave but The Undertaker collapses but Edge picks him back up again only to kick him back down to the floor with no remorse what so ever, to the discontent of the crowd. Edge picks up the Undertaker and steps towards him and hits him with a STEEL CHAIR in the stomach, Edge steams towards The Undertaker and SPEARS HIM OFF OF THE STAGE AND BOTH MEN GO DOWN TEN FEET!!!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY SHHHITTTTTTT!!!

BOTH MEN MUST BE DEAD! The crowd pop big time for the big time move and the Smackdown announcers are bursting blood vessels left, right and centre and they continually replay the move over and over from different angles, they landed in amongst rubble but that could be the Mick Foley spot of the 21st Century and both men still haven’t moved. The medical team use the walkway to get down there and they check on both The Undertaker and Edge and they put the cross signal up and the medical team race down with stretchers, they first get Edge on to the stretcher and get him up on to the ramp and they drop him carefully on the ramp because more help is needed for The Undertaker but Edge manages to roll off of the stretcher and courageously get on his FEET! The crowd actually applaud his courageous actions here but he yells down to the referees to move EDGE STARTS RUNNING, OH MY FREAKIN’ GOD ELBOW DROP TO THE UNDERTAKER TEN FOOT BELOW! THE WHOLE MATCH IS GOING TO BE IN BLOCK LETTERS AT THIS RATE AS EDGE GETS TO HIS FEET!!! Edge obviously didn’t take the brunt of the Spear and landed nicely for the elbow drop and he begins to take The Undertaker up the walkway, despite interference from the medical team and the constant interference of the referee.
The crowd urge The Undertaker on as Edge punches The Undertaker and goes towards the JCB situated next to the grave, Edge pushes The Undertaker on it and knees him in the gut until he is left in a heap on the floor. The crowd are silenced and they can’t believe what has quite happened here as the Phenom has been demolished in front of their very eyes. Suddenly Edge scales above The Undertaker but a LIGHTNING BOLT OUT OF NOWHERE strikes close to Edge and Edge is taken aback and falls off of the JCB to the ramp! Edge is shaken by this sudden occurrence, almost certainly because of the Deadman. He tries to get away from the scene by crawling slowly down the ramp but The Undertaker is still limp and lifeless next to the JCB. Edge slowly gets in to the ring under the ropes and out the other side, he slumps against the canvas and breathes a deep sigh of relief and hunts under the ring, he pulls A TABLE! Edge scrimmages around some more and pulls out a LADDER and SEVERAL GARBAGE CANS followed by a BARBED WIRE BASEBALL BAT. Edge smirks but suddenly goes a little loco and picks up the monitors and drops them on the floor and pulls out some ELECTRICAL WIRE! Edge has certainly gone a bit hardcore as he wants to truly end The Undertaker, no mind games, no lightning bolts and no more Undertaker for Edge to worry about.

Edge grabs the electrical wire and goes up the ramp as The Undertaker finally gets to his feet and staggers down the ramp. Edge grabs a hold of The Undertaker’s hair and pulls him to the ring and smashes his head against the canvas several times before pulling out a STEEL CHAIR and throwing that in to the ring, accompanied by the weapons already on the outside of the ring on the other side. Edge throws The Undertaker in the ring and begins to wrap the electrical wire around The Undertaker’s throat several times over. Edge starts PULLING THE WIRE back and systematically HANGING the Undertaker in the process. Edge wraps his legs around the torso of the Undertaker and pulls the wire in a frenzy, The Undertaker goes red in the face as Edge finally lets go as the referee becomes a little too in your face. Edge throws The Undertaker outside of the ring and wraps the wire around the neck of the Undertaker and pulls the wire back, hanging the Undertaker again using the ropes as leverage. Edge squeezes even tighter but Edge finally lets go and runs off of the ropes and hits a baseball slide to the back of the Undertaker’s head!
Edge has this one dead and buried (not literally… yet) so goes out to the outside of the ring and grabs the ladder and throws it in the ring, he does the same with the two tables and also a garbage can, there are now a plethora of weapons in the ring as Edge goes to the Undertaker and simply throws him in to the ring like a ragdoll. Edge sets up the tables by placing one on the other in one corner of the ring. The Undertaker then catches Edge with a punch as the Ultimate Opportunist turns around but the comeback is short lived as Edge throws The Undertaker in to the corner of the ring. Edge picks up the ladder and throws it in to the Undertaker in the turnbuckle! Edge then picks up the steel chair and hits the Undertaker’s face between the ladder which sees the ladder mesh against The Undertaker’s face. The Undertaker is out of it and is basically staring at the lights as Edge sets himself up for a SPEAR, Edge charges in and goes for the spear but THE UNDERTAKER THROWS THE LADDER BACK IN EDGE’S FACE TO A MASSIVE POP!!!

The Undertaker grabs the ladder and hits Edge in the back with it before setting it up by the corner adjacent to the two tables that are set up. Edge is picked up by the Undertaker and has his face smashed in to the ladder by the Undertaker, which slightly wobbles. The Undertaker grabs the arm of Edge and twists it over and starts climbing the ladder, he is looking for OLD SCHOOL OFF OF THE LADDER, and he climbs to around the fourth rung to a decent height and leaps off as the crowd pop big time but once again they are silenced as EDGE HITS A SPEAR IN MID AIR!!! The Undertaker holds his stomach in agony as Edge scratches and claws his way up the ropes to reach a vertical base. Edge pushes the ladder over and folds it back up before pushing The Undertaker over to the corner, Edge hits a sneaky little elbow to The Undertaker’s face, which the referee isn’t best pleased with. Edge climbs to the top rope and starts hitting the Undertaker, he hits him once, twice, three times before pulling away and taunting, Edge hits him a fourth and a fifth time and with the sixth punch cuts The Undertaker slightly above the eye. Edge hits the seventh and eighth punch with ease as the smarks count along with the punches as he hits a ninth and pulls away again, he is going for the tenth but The Undertaker grabs Edge by the legs and moves forward and raises him up and moves forward, OH MY GOD!!! LAST RIDE THROUGH TWO ENTIRE TABLES!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY SHHHITTTTTTT!!!

THERE IS BROKEN WOOD AND SPLINTERS EVERYWHERE!!! Neither man is moving on the canvas as the referee tries to help out the situation by removing the tables from the scene. The Undertaker moves ever so slightly… he is twitching and he SITS UP! The Undertaker stares menacingly at Edge as he scrambles to his feet. Edge is picked up by the hair by The Phenom and Edge is grabbed by the throat. The Undertaker kicks the steel chair in to place and Edge lifts him through the air and slams him back down with a CHOKESLAM ON THE STEEL CHAIR!!! The Undertaker is in complete control right now, a complete contrast to the scene just a few minutes ago where Edge was firmly dominating. The Undertaker rolls his eyes and goes down to Edge’s level and wraps his legs around Edge’s chest and wraps his arms around Edge’s throat and applies the GOOGOPLATA! The Undertaker wrenches Edge’s throat nice and tight and tangles his arm around the neck and starts clenching his fist as he puts more effort in to it as Edge starts to fade. Edge claws and pinches to get the Undertaker off but to no clear avail as The Undertaker locks the move in even tighter and EDGE BEGINS TO SPIT OUT BLOOD!!! Edge is suffering internal bleeding and there is nothing the referee can do about it! The Undertaker keeps the hold locked in and must remember all the pain he has suffered over the past few months and, even, year. The Undertaker finally lets go of the hold but one has to be said that the damage has been done here as Edge is lifeless; simply not moving.

The Undertaker gets out of the ring and dislodges the steel steps, he takes the steel steps but spots a small duffel bag but he simply tosses it to one side. The Undertaker goes inside the ring and fish hooks Edge and drags him over so his head pokes on the outside of the ring. The Undertaker climbs out of the ring but on the other side of the ropes and he manages to his a LEG DROP to Edge, which inflicts further damage on Edge. The Undertaker drags the steel steps up to the ramp and he carefully places it down next to the shallow grave as the crowd pop big time. Meanwhile, however, away from camera shot and out of most of the fans’ shots it seems Edge has picked up that duffel bag and tucks it in to his tights. The Undertaker drags Edge up to the ring but Edge puts up a valiant effort and begins to battle his way up the ramp as both men trade blows but The Undertaker throws Edge in to the barricade and clotheslines him in to the barricade with his full force!

The Undertaker picks Edge up and tucks him between his legs and lifts him up and slightly falls back but times the move perfectly and hits a SNAKE EYES on to the metal barricade, BUSTING EDGE WIDE OPEN!!! Edge feels his own blood and slumps to the floor, exhausted. The Undertaker then lifts Edge up and knees him the gut before hitting several forearms, knocking Edge slowly back up the ramp but Edge looks back and notices the grave and tries to run through the Undertaker but Undertaker is just too strong and it is like hitting a brick wall as Edge rebounds back off The Undertaker’s body. Edge tries to crawl away but The Undertaker easily catches up to him and brings him over to the steel steps finally after a huge struggle. The Undertaker signals for the end, doing his trademark cut throat signal and he knees Edge and lifts Edge up and hits a SIDEWALK SLAM IN TO THE STEEL STEPS!
Edge cries out in agony but unfortunately for Edge the Phenom isn’t done yet. Edge is lifted up by the Undertaker and he sets Edge in place for the Tombstone Piledriver, he is GOING TO HIT THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER ON EDGE ON TO THE STEEL STEPS!!! It all seems over but Edge but suddenly a shrill voice is heard….

‘STOP IT!!!’

VICKIE GUERRERO COMES OUT!!!

She is without her wheelchair and she grabs on to the Undertaker’s arm and begins pleading with him to ‘stop the madness’ Edge is dropped carefully to the floor to the crowd’s displeasure but they suddenly pop big time as THE UNDERTAKER GRABS VICKIE GUERRERO BY THE THROAT!!! ‘I will make SURE you will NEVER work in this company again’ warns Vickie but this just makes The Undertaker look down to the stage, surely he is not going to CHOKESLAM VICKIE OFF OF THE STAGE!? Vickie is about to be lifted up but Edge has taken something out of the duffel bag and hits The Undertaker with it who instantly collapses! Vickie Guerrero bursts out in laughter as Edge shows the crowd what he hit The Undertaker with, A BRICK!!! The crowd boo the hell out of Vickie as she sarcastically waves The Undertaker goodbye and passionately kisses Edge as she goes to the back and Edge is back in the driving seat once again as the crowd unleash the biggest amount of heat of the night for sure.

Edge wants to get as far away from the ring as possible to carries The Undertaker along with him as he stumbles down the ring. Edge slides in to the ring and grabs the steel chair he got out earlier in the match. Edge also gets the ladder to the outside of the ring. Edge grabs the steel chair and as The Undertaker raises his head Edge slams the steel chair straight on to The Undertaker’s head, BUSTING HIM WIDE OPEN! The Undertaker, as you can imagine, isn’t best pleased with this at all and he begins to pummel Edge with several massive punches and there is one that knocks him in to the barricade. The Undertaker then Irish whips Edge in to the Smackdown announce table as J.R and Foley quickly disperse as The Undertaker surrounds Edge with his presence. Edge is clotheslined on to the announce table as the Undertaker goes to get the ladder and he sets it up just next to the announce table…

The Undertaker drags Edge off and smashes his back in to the floor. The Undertaker picks Edge up and lifts him up with ease and hits a SPINEBUSTER ON TO THE FLOOR! Edge is then picked up and has his face slammed in to the ladder by the Undertaker. The Undertaker then grabs Edge by the throat and starts scaling the dizzy heights of the ladder while helping Edge up the ladder. THE UNDERTAKER IS GOING TO CHOKESLAM EDGE OFF OF THE LADDER AND THROUGH THE ANNOUNCE TABLE! Suddenly Edge hits a LOW BLOW and hooks his arms over The Undertaker’s head. Edge lifts The Undertaker over his head and hits a SUPLEX THROUGH THE DAMN ANNOUNCE TABLE!!!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY SHHHITTTTTTT!!!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY SHHHITTTTTTT!!!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLYYYYYY SHHHITTTTTTT!!!

Edge is twitching ever so slightly and, after several seconds, actually begins to move and grabs two steel chairs from underneath the ring and throws them half heartedly in to the ring. Edge picks The Undertaker up but drops him back down again but manages to drag him up to the canvas. Edge lifts The Undertaker up and places him in to the ring. Edge rolls in to the ring and grabs the electrical wire he used earlier and he wraps it around The Undertaker’s throat. Edge picks The Phenom up and twists his arm and applies the armbar, Edge laughs as much as he can, with blood spewing out of his mouth and dripping down his face, and climbs to the top rope and mockingly rolls his eyes back and leaps off and hits OLD SCHOOL! The crowd boo the hell out of Edge as he gets the steel chair and places The Undertaker’s head on it (with, remember, the electrical wire still wrapped around his throat) and brings the other steel chair in to the fray. He SLAMS THE CHAIR DOWN ON TO THE UNDERTAKER’S HEAD WHICH IS SANDWICHED BETWEEN THE STEEL WITH A CON CHAIR TO!!! The crowd are in shock as The Undertaker doesn’t move and the cut has delved deeper in to his skin and has now transformed in to a fully fledged cut and the Deadman has been badly CUT OPEN.

Edge wants to finish this… NOW. He grabs the steel chair and takes The Undertaker with him and puts him in a headlock. Edge carries The Undertaker’s lifeless body up the ramp for the world to see. Edge sits The Undertaker down on the barricade and tells him to watch ‘As his world crumbles’ I doubt the Undertaker has a clue what he is saying but Edge seems really pleased with himself and starts putting the boot in to the Undertaker’s face. ‘THIS IS WHAT YOU WANTED UNDERTAKER. YOU GOT IT’ Edge has become fanatical, almost obsessed with ending The Undertaker once and for all. Edge pulls the hair of the Undertaker and hits a Russian Leg Sweep on The Undertaker on to the ramp! The Undertaker doesn’t move once again and Edge hooks the leg and locks in the Boston Crab on The Undertaker and pulls with all of his might just so he can simply humiliate The Undertaker in front of the whole world. Edge picks The Undertaker up and starts shouting at him and SLAPS HIM ACROSS THE FACE! The Undertaker has finally been woken up by this and he retaliates with a massive Big Boot! The Undertaker battles with Edge up the ramp and Edge trips on the steel steps that were laid there earlier. Edge looks up in shock as The Undertaker stares a hole through the Rated R Superstar.

The Undertaker grabs Edge and picks him up and attempts a chokeslam, he clasps Edge’s throats once again but Edge battles out of it and, out of complete desperation, hits an EDGECUTION on the steel steps. Edge rubs his chin before signalling the end with The Undertaker’s own cut throat signal and a bellowing chant (a la Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 21) Edge lifts The Undertaker up and turns him around whilst standing on the steel steps, he is going to TOMBSTONE THE UNDERTAKER ON THE STEEL STEPS!!! SUDDENLY THE UNDERTAKER REVERSES IN TO HIS OWN TOMBSTONE… HE ROLLS HIS EYES BACK BUT EDGE REVERSES AGAIN!!! EDGE PLANTS HIM DOWN! TOMBSTONE ON TO THE STEEL STEPS… TOMBSTONE ON TO THE STEEL STEPS!!! Edge rolls The Undertaker in to the grave and goes in to the JCB… he pulls the levers as The Undertaker’s arm reaches the top of the grave but the dirt is automatically being filled in to the grave and Edge gets out of the JCB and STAMPS ON THE UNDERTAKER’S FINGERS, ENSURING HIM AN EARLY GRAVE! THE GRAVE FILLS UP! EDGE WINS EDGE WINS EDGE WINS!!!

(Winner v@ 20:22 via burial - Edge!)

Re: WWE - GET IT! - SUMMER 2008

Just skimmed over the show and I have to say it was VERY, VERY good. I'm not going to spoil it for people who have yet to read, but let me just say that you future readers are in for a treat! I might be able to get up a review sometime this week.
