Chapter 1.'Class is in Session'

WWE Raw Results
Chicago, Illinois
August, 18th 2008

After the Raw opening video package and even before JR and King can welcome us to the broadcast a very familiar, but has become unfamiliar as of the past couple months, sound hits the arena. “No Chance” blares through the arena as the fans get on their feet and began to cheer. Vince McMahon steps out on the Raw stage and eats up the ovation. The fans are cheering for their chairman, whom they haven’t seen since WrestleMania 24! McMahon arrogantly walks down the aisle with a smile on his face. McMahon steps into the ring and his handed a microphone by one of his employees before he begins to speak. After waiting for the crowd to quiet down the chairman begins his promo. Vince tells the crowd that tonight is a very special night because tonight he is back! The crowd pops again but hasn’t heard anything yet. Vince continues saying that he took some time off to sit back and watch his product develop and he realized it can’t develop without the help of the boss. He says that all brands, Raw, ECW and Smackdown, have been lackluster, but tonight it will all change. First he announces that starting tonight there will be a talent initiative which means more superstars for all brands and then McMahon says he has already fired Armando Estrada, Vickie Guerrero and William Regal and that he will appoint new General Managers! The crowd is totally shocked but Vince goes on. He says the new ECW General Manager is a man we all saw return at Summerslam … Terry Funk! A huge pop from this Chicago crowd as McMahon continues on. The new Smackdown General Manager will be … the ‘Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase! Again a huge crowd as Vince smiles. He tells the crowd if they think that is big then wait to who the new Raw GM is. Vince pauses as the crowd chippers with anticipation, but Vince just smiles. He says that tonight he will run Raw and at the end of the program he will announce the new General Manager! The crowd begins to boo but McMahon tells them to hold up, because tonight in a four man tag team match the Classroom’s Charlie Haas, United States Champion MVP, Mark Henry and WWE Champion Randy Orton will take on Shawn Michaels, the World Tag Team Champions DH Smith and TJ Wilson and Chicago’s own … CM Punk! The crowd goes insane as Vince lays the mic down and exits the ring.

JR and King sell the promo from Mr. McMahon before we cut away to a commercial break. To highlight; Terry Funk is the new ECW General Manger, Ted Dibiase is the new Smackdown GM and tonight there will be a huge four man tag team match and Mr. McMahon will announce the new Raw GM.

Commercial Break.

Back from the break we head backstage to where Vince McMahon is sitting in his office. There is a knock at his door when Matt Striker walks in. The crowd begins to boo immediately as Striker greets Mr. McMahon with a smile and handshake. Striker tries to shoot the breeze with the chairman, telling him it’s great to see him again etc. before McMahon tells him to get on with it. Striker reports that all members of his Classroom are not here tonight because they are at home comforting Batista after his hellacious match with the ‘Game’ Triple H last night. McMahon tells Striker that he had not heard of any of that and that he falsified a main event for the fans. Striker apologizes and says he will make it up to him; McMahon agrees and books him in a match against CM Punk here tonight. The crowd pops once again for Punk’s name as Striker begins to look shaken. He tries to talk the Chairman out of it, but it has no affect as McMahon orders him out of the office. Striker reluctantly exits the office.

As we cut away we quickly cut to the parking lot where the Classroom is running into a limo! The crowd boos incredibly as Orton screams GO to the driver and the limo speeds off. Back at ringside JR and King can’t believe the Classroom just left Raw when they were supposed to be in the main event and now Striker will get CM Punk one on one!

In our match up of the night Deuce ‘N Domino are set to take on the newest tag team to the Raw roster … Mark and Jay, the Briscoe Brothers! It is a fairly even contest with each side getting in their shots. The Briscoe Brothers show off some AMAZING team work hitting double team moves not seen before. For example Mark hit a huge uppercut followed by a leg lariat by Jay then a jawbreaker by Mark finished up by a STO by Jay all on innocent Deuce. Deuce didn’t even get to kick out of the maneuver because Domino had to break it up. After making the tag Domino began to take control of the match. After nailing Jay out of the ring with a missile dropkick he connected with a vertical suplex. He then knocked Mark out of the ring before finishing Jay off with Springboard Tornado DDT! The crowd begins to boo the Greasers as the referee makes the three count. The heels eat it up as they exit the ring. Mark rushes in and checks on his partner.

JR and King sell the match and the talent of the newest tag team, despite their loss. We cut backstage to where Matt Striker is on the phone. Striker appears to be on the phone with someone from the Classroom as he demands that they come back right now! Striker begins to scream at whoever is on the opposite end and orders that they come back or they will pay!

Commercial Break.

Back from the break we cut to Todd Grisham who is standing by with Shawn Michaels. Michaels says he is upset that he isn’t going to get to wrestle tonight because of how he was screwed last night against Charlie Haas. However Michaels is in a good mood because of Mr. McMahon’s new ‘talent initiative’ and says that he has been on the phone with an old friend who is ready to come back to the WWE. Michaels smiles into the camera and walks off as the crowd buzzes.

We cut to the ring while JR and King talk about what the ‘Hearbreak Kid’ could be talking about. Out comes the ‘Ripper’ Paul Burchill to some heat. Burchill’s mentor William Regal not only lost to Matt Hardy last night but was also fired by Vince McMahon tonight! Burchill looks to be upset as he awaits his opponent. His opponent is none other than Drew McIntyre! McIntyre comes out to barely any reaction and hasn’t been seen on Raw in nearly a year. McIntyre and Burchill go at it as soon as the bell rings but right from the get go McIntyre seems to be in trouble. Burchill over powers McIntyre in almost every way, slamming him into the canvas over and over. The ‘Ripper’ nails McIntyre with a huge big boot that dazes the young Scotsmen. Burchill picks McIntyre up and connects with a big side walk slam before putting him away with the Curb Stomp. After the match Burchill kicks McIntyre out of the ring and grabs a mic. He says that it is Matt Hardy’s fault William Regal is out of the WWE and he will get revenge. Hardy interrupts Burchill and tells him to ‘do something about it’ and the two begin to brawl. After nailing a few solid punches Burchill feels the effect of a Matt Hardy side effect as the fans erupt. Hardy poses for them as we cut away.

Commercial Break.

After the break we get some hype for Chicago’s own CM Punk taking on Matt Striker before World Tag Team Champions DH Smith and TJ Wilson come out. Smith explains that they are upset they are getting pulled from the main event and that they deserve the main event spot because they are the best tag team on Raw! The crowd isn’t quite sure how to respond back, so some boo and some cheer. Before they can continue much longer they are interrupted by John Morrion and The Miz! The ‘Chick Magnet’ finds it humors that these two jokers believe they are the best on Raw and Morrison backs him saying that Canadians aren’t allowed in the Palace of Wisdom. The tag champs are so confident in their abilities that they tell Morrison and Miz they will put their tag titles on the line right here and right now, much to the delight of the crowd. Morrison and Miz accept setting up an impromptu World Tag Team Championship match.

Wilson and Morrison start the match off very soundly. Morrison is able to get Wilson into a headlock but the ‘Stampede Kid’ counters with a suplex. Wilson stands up and begins to stomp on Morrison before bringing him to his feet. Wilson whips him off of the ropes and attempts a shoulder block. He connects but when Morrison hit the ropes Miz tagged himself in without Wilson’s knowledge. Wilson goes to pick up Morrison only to be kicked in the side of the head by Miz! DH Smith tries to enter the ring but the referee stops him. Morrison is now on his feet and scoops up Wilson. He slams Wilson into the canvas and Miz then leaps off the middle rope and nails a leg drop. Morrison exits the ring and Miz covers Wilson. The kid is able to kick out and Miz brings him t his feet. Miz whips him off the ropes and looks to hit a big boot only for Wilson to duck under it. Wilson comes back and nails him with a big clothesline. Wilson tags in DH Smith and Smith rushes into the ring. He nails Miz with another clothesline while Morrison runs into the ring and Smith picks him and nails a running powerslam. Wilson then nails Miz with a neckbreaker before taking Miz out of the ring. Smith picks Miz up and nails him with a running powerslam and then covers him for the win. After the match the World Tag Team Champions celebrate as we cut away to a commercial break.

Commercial Break.

Backstage we see Matt Striker pacing around in his locker room very nervously. His phone rings and at first startles him and then he answers it. Striker listens in on what the person on the other end is saying and only replies with ‘yes’ every once in awhile. He smiles as he hangs up when CM Punk walks in! The crowd explodes for their hometown hero and Punk tries hard to keep a smile from his face. Punk tells Striker that it is his fault that doesn’t have the WWE Championship around his waist right now and that tonight Striker will get his. The ‘Teacher’ smiles at Punk and says ‘excuse me, I have a match to get ready for.’ Punk is confused by Striker’s presentation as we cut away.

Elsewhere in the back Vince McMahon is walking down a hallway in the backstage area when he bumps into the World Tag Team Champions the Stampede Bulldogs. Neither party exchanges words but Smith and Wilson along with Natalya seem confused as McMahon just smiles at them and continues on walking. Vince turns the corner and walks right into Shawn Michaels! McMahon questions Michaels about what he was talking about earlier and HBK says he’ll tell if McMahon tells him who the new Raw GM is. Vince just smiles and says HBK will love who it is and then walks away smiling. Michaels seems confused but continues on his way. HBK then bumps right into Matt Striker. Striker doesn’t seem to relaxed as he did with Punk as he takes a huge gulp. HBK smiles at Striker and tells him last night Haas was lucky he had back up, but soon enough so will he. Striker is confused as Michaels smiles at him then walks away.

Inside the arena JR and King are still speculating what both HBK and Mr. McMahon, even Matt Striker is planning. “Booyaka 619” hits and the crowd erupts into a pop as Rey Mysterio appears from the entrance ramp! Mysterio is a little battered up after his ladder match last night and has some sort of limp. As Mysterio stands in the ring the lights go out and the crowd immediately cheers. A gold tint then lights up the arena when suddenly the familiar sound of “Shattered Dreams” hits. The crowd pops as the unusual character in wig and all Goldust appears! ‘Dust appears to be in excellent shape as he walks down the aisle and stands on the stairs. He opens his robe to show brand new ring attire. Mysterio, like everyone else in the arena, appears very confused that Goldust is standing in a WWE ring yet again. When the bell finally rings Mysterio does not jump the gun and just paces around ‘Dust. The two lock up but quickly break only for Goldust to nail Mysterio with an uppercut. Goldust unleashes with some rights and lefts and then throws him off the ropes. He looks to hit a clothesline but Mysterio ducks under it. When Mysterio comes back Goldust nails him with a big boot. He quickly pulls Mysterio to his feet and then connects with a scoop slam. Goldust picks Mysterio back up and places him in the corner of the ring. He puts his legs up on top of the middle rope and then backs up. He takes a deep breath while he does the thing he does with his hands and then kicks Mysterio under the belt! The referee immediately rings the bell. However Goldust is not done. He drags Mysterio into the middle of the ring and kicks him down. He orders for a ring worker to give him a steel chair and they give it to him. Goldust proceeds to assault Mysterio with the steel chair and bloodies him! The crowd is booing like crazy as “Shattered Dreams” begins to play and ‘Dust taunts to the crowd.

Commercial Break.

As we come back from the break we see Matt Striker in his wrestling attire walking towards the ring with a smile on his face, surely something is up his sleeve. Elsewhere we see CM Punk walking towards the ring when DH Smith and TJ Wilson walk up to him. Smith tells him that he overheard the Classroom is back and that the Stampede Bulldogs will have his back, Punk smiles and nods before continuing on his way.

Inside the arena Matt Striker makes his entrance to huge heat before CM Punk comes out to a tremendous pop that nearly blows the roof off of the arena. Chicago’s own CM Punk is pumped up for this match and it is obvious he is here to win. When the bell tolls Striker goes right at Punk and the two lock up. Punk overpowers Striker and backs him into the corner before breaking the high elbow lock up and nails Striker with a backhand chop, to which the crowd responds with a WOO! Punk whips Striker across the ring into the opposite corner and watches as he nails the opposite turnbuckles. Punk raises his arm up into the air and waves it around as the fans begin to cheer. He sprints at Striker and nails with a huge knee striker and then follows it up with a bulldog! The crowd continues to cheer as he goes to the outside of the ring and waits as Striker gets to his feet, when he does Punk leaps onto the top rope and then jumps off nailing Striker with a clothesline! He then follows it up with the GTS and the win! The crowd pops huge as Punk picks up the very easy win.

Striker rolls out of the ring as Punk asks for a mic. “CHICAGO, WHAT’S MY NAME!?” Is what Punk says to which the crowd begins to chant “CM PUNK” over and over. Punk eats up the love when suddenly a bell rings. “Classroom Remix” begins to play as the fans boo instantly and the smile wipes away from Punk’s face. WWE Champion Randy Orton, United States Champion MVP, Charlie Haas, Mark Henry and Big Daddy V all appear on the stage standing shaking their heads. Without any hesitation Striker, who is on the bottom of the ramp, orders them to attack. The Classroom hits the ring, with Orton ahead of them all. They slide into the ring and Punk begins to nail them with rights and lefts as JR screams that must’ve been what Striker was so happy about. Punk gains control until MVP tackles him. Haas and Porter along with Orton begin to stomp all over him when the two big men enter the ring. Henry connects with a World’s Strongest Slam and Big Daddy V follows it up with a big splash. The Classroom as things where they went as Striker re-enters the ring. Suddenly the World Tag Team Champions, DH Smith and TJ Wilson hit the ring and begin to exchange lefts and rights with Henry and Big Daddy V. They take the big men out of the ring, but Punk is still outnumbered. Porter connects with the Playmaker as the fans continue to boo. They then erupt into cheers when “Sexy Boy” hits and Shawn Michaels comes running out of the back! HBK hits the ring and nails the US Champion with a superkick that sends him through the ropes. Haas is the next one to be caught with a superkick and he too goes out of the ring. Orton teases like he will go at HBK as Michaels waves him on screaming “COME ON” but Orton slides out of the ring along with Striker. The Classroom regroups when “No Chance” hits to a pop.

Mr. McMahon says he is glad everyone that is out here is out here because this next announcement hits close to them all, especially the tag champs and Shawn Michaels. With that being said it all becomes clear and the crowd begins to cheer. McMahon says the newest Raw General Manager is a former WWE and WCW Champion, one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot into a ring … the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be … BRET HART! An enormous pop eludes from the crowd as the Classroom and the men in the ring look shocked as hell. We are left with JR screaming “By golly Bret Hart is the new Raw General Manager … BRET HART!”

End Show.

Deuce ‘N Domino defeated Mark & Jay Briscoe
Paul Burchill defeated Drew McIntyre
Stampede Bulldogs retained against John Morrison & the Miz
Rey Mysterio defeated Goldust by DQ
CM Punk defeated Matt Striker

Default Re: WWE 2008: Death before Dishonor

Quick Raw notes.

The entire wrestling world is shocked after the announcement on Monday Night Raw. Vince McMahon announced that Bret the Hitman Hart would be brought back to WWE TV as the new General Manger. No one, no one within in the WWE except for Vince, Johnny Ace and Dusty Rhodes knew of this and when creative continually asked ‘who the new Raw GM would be’ Vince responded by saying he had it under control. The expressions of those within the ring at the end of Raw were their real expressions and as you could by HBK’s grin, he wasn’t sure how to react. No details have been leaked about how Hart will be brought about, but everyone is excited. It is looked as an amazing business move by Vince to announced Hart as the new GM, but not have him appear as the new Raw GM until this week, expect ratings to be high this week.

Speaking of ratings, this week’s Raw after Summerslam only pulled a 3.1.

Goldust aka Dustin Rhodes returned to the WWE this past Monday night and is expected to play a big time heel in the company. Rhodes is a professional worker and McMahon is very much behind him. Also it should be noted that Rhodes is working as an agent backstage.

Many were shocked to see Mark and Jay Briscoe debut on Raw since their ROH contract isn’t set to expire for a couple more months. Many are speculating that this is a sign that the rumors of a ROH-WWE talent exchange are indeed true. If this is the case you can expect some more ROH stars on WWE TV, and look for some WWE talent to make some appearances at ROH events.

Unforgiven isn’t for almost two full months away, so expect a slow build to the event.

Rumors are swirling that WWE is in talks with a former World Champion of both WWE and WCW. More on this in the coming weeks.

From FCW many new talents are expected to debut. The Puerto Rican Nightmare, Ted DiBiase Jr., Sheamus O’Shannuesy, and others are suspected of being pulled up soon.

Raw Review

Vince McMahon starts off the show and it appears as though he's shaking things up against with the announcement of new GM's and a blockbuster tag team main event. Interesting to see a face pop for McMahon which I suppose is realistic as when he's been away for a while he tends to come back to a decent reception.

Next we see the cancelation of the tag match, which after the crowd seemed so happy about the match you can imagine them being pissed. Although I guess Punk in action is some mild consolation.

Next we see The Classroom scooting into a limo. I reckon we might see them at some point later on.

Raw's newest team The Briscoes in action next. It was a rather nice suprise seeing a new team lose. With them getting in so much offence it doesn't really matter that they lost too much in my opinion.

Burchill squashed Drew next. Burchill/Hardy feud begins and it should be good. Hoping for Burchill to gain the upper hand next week as he needs a bit of momentum to have a chance of beating someone like Hardy.

Next we have a big win for the tag champs in a competitive match. I'd love this to lead to Morrison/Miz breaking up.

Striker on the phone next made me think that The Classroom may be getting a new member, although that obviously turned out not to be the case.

A little too much smileing in the next segment for my likeing.

Mysterio beating Goldust next via DQ and the events that took place after the match indicate a re-match won't be far off.

Punk downs Striker with ease next but is beatdown by the The Classroom only for HBK to make the save. Bret Hart as GM is a huge announcement and although I would have preffered Bret to come down to the ring, by him not coming down it only furthers the anticipation for next week. I doubt HBK will be getting a title match anytime soon though!

Some nice storyline progression here, although I would have preffered a more competitive main event. Decent effort tbh!

ECW Results
Quad Cities, Illinois
August 19th, 2008

ECW on Sci-Fi kicks off when the John “Bradshaw” Layfield along with Lance Cade hit the ring. JBL begins to talk about how he unfairly lost the ECW Championship thanks to those washed up freakin’ idiots Terry Funk and Tommy Dreamer. JBL is even more upset that now Terry Funk is in charge at ECW!! Bradshaw continues to rant on about how ECW is at lost with Mick Foley and Terry Funk on top and he isn’t sure on what his future is because of it. JBL tells the world that if he doesn’t get his ECW Championship back tonight then he will walk from ECW for good. This of course is cheered by the fans and Bradshaw tells them to shut up. The crowd then erupts into a huge pop as the ECW Champion Mick Foley comes out and down into the ring. Foley can’t help but smile at the broken down and obliviously flustered JBL. Foley says he finds it humorous JBL is complain when he had his ‘buddy’ Lance Cade run down and interrupt the match in the first place. Cade tells Foley that he was trying to do the right thing while Funk and Dreamer were being ridiculous. Cade continues saying Foley has no business being in ECW and has no business being back in the WWE!! Foley tells Cade that if he wants he will give him an old school ECW beat down tonight! JBL tells Foley he’s not going to get the easy way out and he wants an ECW Championship match tonight!

Suddenly the new ECW General Manager Terry Funk interrupts to a huge pop. Funk comes down into the ring and tells JBL that tonight he will NOT be getting an ECW Championship match and if he wants to walk away from the ring then do it. Funk hesistates and waits for Bradshaw to walk away, and he doesn’t, which prompts the GM to continue. Funk says tonight Bradshaw and Cade will team up to take on Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer in a tag team match! The crowd cheers as JBL is outraged as he and Cade exit the ring. Foley looks happy as he and Funk embrace one another.

Commercial Break.

Back from the break we are greeted by Joey Styles and Tazz. The two build up tonight’s main event as we cut to inside the ring where a competitor is already standing. That competitor is none other than Shelton Benjamin! The ‘Gold Standard’ says it is BS he wasn’t at Summerslam after the roll he’s been on, he should be the ECW Champion! He begins to knock Elijah Burke saying how he got knocked out by the ‘Italian Stallion’ Santino Marella! Benjamin laughs and says he can knock Marella out with his pinky. This of course brings out the ‘Milan Miracle’ to a pop from this crowd. Marella says he used to be funny and knows what funny is and Shelton Benjamin is not-a FUNNY!! The two begin to brawl as a referee runs down and we begin this impromptu match.

Very quickly Marella begins to take it to Benjamin who can’t help but shelter himself. Marella connects with all sorts of strikes. However after a blocked punch Benjamin comes back with a enzurgi that knocks Marella off of his feet. The ‘Gold Standard’ doesn’t lighten up and gets right on top of Marella bangin’ into him with right and lefts. After some more back and forth action Benjamin is able to capitalize off of a missed body splash to connect with a T-Bone Suplex for the win.

Commercial Break.

We get some hype for the main event tag team match featuring ECW Champion Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer taking JBL and Lance Cade.

Backstage we see Terry Funk who is talking with Mike Knox!? Knox tells Funk he has been misused lately and that he ‘hopes’ Funk will utilize him the way he should be. Funk tells Knox if he wants to make an impression, then do it.

In our second match up of the night the Women’s Championship is on the line as Beth Phoenix takes on Kelly Kelly. Kelly seems impressive and pulls off some good moves like a bulldog and Hurricanrana, but it doesn’t faze the ‘Glamazon’ as she runs through Kelly Kelly and continues her unbeaten streak.

Backstage we see Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer preparing for their tag team match in the main event. Elsewhere we see Lance Cade and JBL doing the same.

Back inside the ring Brian Kendrick comes out to the ring with a new look and what seems to be a new attitude. He cuts a very good promo saying the ECW Championship is his goal and that he will now be referred to as The Brian Kendrick. Following this he takes on some jobber and finishes him off with The Brian Kendrick, the former Slicebread #2.

Commercial Break.

In the main event Mick Foley and Tommy Dreamer lose to Lance Cade and JBL when Lance Cade pins Dreamer after a big boot. Foley and JBL fought to the back, thus furthering their feud. After the match Mike Knox came out and destroyed Lance Cade.]

End Show.

Shelton Benjamin defeated Santino Marella
Beth Phoenix defeated Kelly Kelly
The Brian Kendrick defeated a jobber
JBL & Lance Cade defeated Mick Foley & Tommy Dreamer

Chapter 1: 'Money Can Buy Happiness'

Smackdown
Quad Cities, Illinois
August 22th, 2008

Before we can get to an opening video or promo or any commentary the arena turns black as a countdown appears on screen. The crowd immediately begins to boo as the arena lights up with blue and gold pyros and ‘Break the Walls Down’ begins to play. We see save_me up on the screen and finally Chris Jericho walks out from the back with the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist!! The crowd continues to boo as Jericho walks very smug down the aisle, steps up the stairs and through the middle rope into the ring.

The World Heavyweight Champion paces around the ring with a microphone in hand as he waits for the boos to die down. Jericho cannot help but smile as he points at the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Jericho finally having enough cuts the crowd short of their heat and begins his promo.

Chris Jericho: I have waited seven long years for this. I have battled the best in the world; I have fought and fought and FOUGHT for this. And now here I am … your World Heavyweight Champion!

The crowd erupts into boos as Jericho just smiles.

Jericho: I am ‘Y2J’ no more, but rather the King … of the World!

Again a chorus of boos breaks up Jericho’s words.

Jericho: No one thought I could step into Hell … in a Cell with the ‘Deadman’, the ‘Phenom’ the Undertaker and walk away victorious. I went to Hell and back and I BEAT, I DEFEATED the Undertaker!

More boos for Jericho and a ‘Taker’ chant breaks out. Jericho just smiles and continues on.

Jericho: Taker. Taker. Taker. Yes chant his name, chant as much as you want, because it won’t matter. I ended the Undertaker’s existent, I took the World Heavyweight Championship from his cold, dead hands and I made history! I am the best this brand … this company has to offer and once again I reign supreme over the entire WWE!

Jericho pulls the mic away from his mouth and wipes his mouth. He is drooling over being the World Heavyweight Champ, but he tries to control himself as he continues on.

Jericho: The best part is I already took care of my biggest threat. The Undertaker was the biggest threat to my championship, the biggest threat to me … and he is no more. Undertaker is gone for good and there is absolutely no one in that locker room that can beat me!

Jericho: Tonight our new General Manager … Ted DiBiase…

A big crowd pop for the ‘Million Dollar Man.’

Jericho: …Ted Dibiase has given me the night off, due to the hellacious match I was in, but he has informed me that he will give me the chance to choose my next opponent when the World Heavyweight Championship is on the line. He told me I earned the right to choose my opponent and I’ve been thinking for a long time and frankly I don’t think anyone deserves the right to face me. So Mr. DiBiase, Mr. Million Dollar Man …

**No More Words**

The crowd pops huge as Jeff Hardy comes out onto the stage. Hardy looks kinda serious as he makes his way down to the ring, slapping hands with his fans on the way down. Hardy slides into the ring and gets right into the face of Chris Jericho. Hardy then grabs the microphone right out of his hand.

The crowd begins to roar a little bit waiting for Hardy to speak.

Jeff Hardy: You don’t think anyone deserves a title shot? C’mon bro, you don’t need to look far because Jeff Hardy is standing right in front of you!

The crowd pops for Hardy as Jericho just grins.

Hardy: You weren’t the only one who won their match at Summerslam. So if you’re up to it Chris …

Hardy gets a mean look on his face as Jericho grabs the mic away from Jeff. Jericho grins some more before speaking again.

Jericho: Easy there, man. You think you can just come down that aisle and step into the ring with a man of my level? Jeff, listen up – you aren’t on my level, thing is I’m on a-whole-nother level above you. If you actually want a shot at my World Heavyweight Championship you have to do more than beat … Edge, HA!

Again Hardy grabs the mic away from Jericho, this time Jericho loses the grin and looks a bit more serious.

Hardy: Last time I checked Jericho you couldn’t beat Edge … or me! Jericho you aren’t on another level than me, real talk … you’re scarred of me. You’re scarred that I will beat you here tonight and your reign won’t even last a week!!

The crowd pops huge and breaks out in a ‘Hardy’ chant. Jeff claps his hands as Jericho tries to get the mic. Jericho then screams at someone ringside to get him a mic and they quickly do. Jericho goes to speak when suddenly he is interrupted.

**From the Bay**

The crowd breaks out in a mixed reaction as the man who hails from Green Bay walks out of the back with his patent ‘Talk Loud, Hit Harder’ t-shirt on over his in ring attire. Mr. Kennedy waltzes down to the ring and runs up the stair and gets into the ring. Kennedy gets into the face of Hardy and then grabs the mic right out of his hands.

Mr. Kennedy: Jeff Hardy? Jeff Hardy you think your worth a World Heavyweight Championship title shot? Please don’t tell me you’re facing your demons again.

Kennedy and Jericho smile as Hardy just stares at Kennedy as the crowd boos.

Kennedy: Please Jeff exit this ring and let the big boys talk this out …

Hardy grabs the microphone at of Jericho’s hand again as Jericho shakes his head and then orders for another mic. Now all men have a mic.

Hardy: Who are you? Mr. Who? Mr. Left Off Of Summerslam? Ah that’s right.

The crowd laughs and cheers as Hardy grins at Kennedy who is getting upset.

Hardy: Are you honestly out here right now trying to get a title shot? Bro, you weren’t even on the CARD AT SUMMERSLAM! I won my match at Summerslam and you weren’t even in the building!

Kennedy: ENOUGH! That … that was a fluke, I … I was recovering from injuries.

Hardy moves his hand and mocks Kennedy talking. Kennedy just shoots him a look.

Kennedy: It doesn’t matter! Jericho you did a hell of a job beating The Undertaker, but I’ve been held back long enough! My time is now! My time is tonight!

Jericho: Are you two jackasses stupid? Don’t answer that. I told you … I HAVE THE NIGHT OFF! I am not competing tonight, I get to chose my opponent but frankly I don’t care which one you two idiots it is.

Hardy: Well Jericho if you’re so sure then why don’t you …

Jericho: Why don’t you shut your mouth? How about tonight you two face each other one on one and the winner will get a chance at my World Heavyweight Championship at Fully Loaded.

Hardy and Kennedy look at each other then back at Jericho.

Hardy: Yeah, fine.

Kennedy: Whatever you want to do. But one thing is for sure, the next World Heavyweight Champion will be … MIIIIISSSTTTAAAAA KEEEEENNNNEDDDDYYYY …

Hardy: JEFF HARDY!

Hardy and Kennedy stare at each other as Kennedy slowly puts the mic up to his mouth and stares at both Jericho and Hardy.

Kennedy: Kenned-ah!

The crowd gives off another mixed reaction but leans more towards boos as all three men stare at each other as we cut away to a break.

-Commercial Break-

Backstage we see various undercard superstars hovering around a locker room which reads ‘SMACKDOWN GENERAL MANAGER.’ Among those there are Kenny Dykstra, Eve Torres, Snitsky, World Tag Team Champions Chris Harris & Trevor Murdoch, Cody Rhodes, Jesse, Fetus and others. The door opens up and all the superstars stop talking and hold their breath when Edge walks out of the locker room!! Edge appears to be furious and just stares at the stars around him before turning his back and walking away.

‘Fighting Irishman’ Finlay vs. Jack Black (Independent worker Jack Evans)

Poor Jack Black having to face off against a furious Finlay, who lost to John Cena almost a week ago at Summerslam. Finlay goes at Black very hard and hits with everything he has. Hard right hands, hard left hands, hard forearms and elbows and Finlay is really rough with the young worker. After hitting some suplexes and whatnot Finlay finishes him off with the Celtic Cross.

Winner: Finlay @ 4:02

After the match Finlay stomps on Jack Black a few more times before exiting the ring.

****

We head back to the locker room area where the superstars are still standing around. The door of the GM’s office opens again and this time Ted DiBiase walks out! The crowd pops as DiBiase seems startled by all the people around him. He then smiles before fixing his jacket and walks forward. DiBiase then walks right into The Great Khali! The crowd boos as DiBiase stares Khali up and down before grinning.

Ted DiBiase: You … you come with me. HAHA!!

****

We cut away from this area to another backstage area and see the Big Show standing by with Josh Matthews!

Josh Matthews: Big Show you requested this time with me because …

Big Show: Because I was left off of SummerSlam? That’s right little man I was. But unlike some people in this business I will not let that affect me. I will not let that affect how I act and most of all I will earn myself the opportunity at …

Just as Big Show goes to finish his eyes wander and he stops talking. Matthews, like the rest of us, is confused and looks over at what Big Show sees. We see The Great Khali with the GM Ted DiBiase at his side! The crowd roars as DiBiase and Big Show lock eyes.

DiBiase: You … ah … you – come with me. HA!

Big Show shows a little confusion, but something is egging him on. He walks over to Khali and DiBiase and locks eyes with the ‘Punjabi Giant.’ Khali stares, but in his eyes he too appears confused. DiBiase begins to walk and the two giant men follow behind.

****

Elsewhere backstage we see the tag team of Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder. The two young superstars are sportin’ jeans and white t-shirt and are just sittin’ back, relaxin’. We join them in what seems to be mid-conversation.

Curt Hawkins: I’m tellin’ ya man, this dude knows what he is doing. I mean look at who he’s helped before …

Zach Ryder: I know, I know – it’s just … his methods, they’re so …

Hawkins: Weird?

Ryder: (grinning a bit) Yeah. I mean … I know he’s good and all … but just how exactly did you meet him?

Hawkins tells Ryder to lean in closer as we cut away and back to inside the arena. Inside the arena the crowd is roaring with anticipation of what is going to happen next.

**Million Dollar Man**

The crowd burst into cheers as the ‘Million Dollar Man’ the General Manager of Smackdown, Ted DiBiase walks out of the back. DiBiase has a cocky smile on as the two biggest men in the WWE walk behind him. Big Show still appears confused while Khali stares emotional on his way down to the ring.

Inside the ring the GM gets a microphone and waits for the crowd to die down a little bit. He is still smiling when he puts the mic up to his mouth.

DiBiase: Ah this feels great!! --- I am the man in charge, I have all the power … and most of all I have … all … the money!!

The crowd cheers a little bit as DiBiase digs into his pocket and pulls out a HUGE wad of what appears to be all $100 dollar bills! DiBiase waves the money around as the crowd is a bit shocked.

DiBiase: They say money can’t buy you happiness, but it can sure protect! That is why … I am out here with these two FREAKS OF NATURE. To my left is the Big Show and to my right is the Great Khali – the biggest men in this industry today!

DiBiase begins to break up his wad of money into halves and then splits one half of it that into another half, making it a quarter of the originally amount of money. He puts the rest of the money back into his pocket and the quarters to Show and Khali.

DiBiase: I know the turmoil that comes with being a General Manger; I know superstars come after you if they don’t get their way … superstars like … Edge.

The crowd releases a mixed reaction for the ‘Rated R Superstar.’

DiBiase: Edge came at me tonight. He demanded to be the first one to face Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship. But I just wouldn’t have it. That is when Edge flipped and stormed out of my office. But if I had these two guys (points to Show and Khali) that meeting would’ve gone a whole lot different.

Big Show nods his head as he stands with his arms folded. The money DiBiase gave him appears to have taken the confusion away.

DiBiase: Instead tonight … Edge will take on John Cena!

The crowd lets out another mixed reaction, which then turns into pure heat. DiBiase smiles as he looks up at Show and Khali.

DiBiase: I hope Edge still has some of that anger left … ‘cause he’ll be needin’ it.

DiBiase’s music begins to play as the three men inside the ring exit.

****

Michael Cole: What is our General Manager talking about Coach? Big Show, Khali …? I don’t get any of it at all.

Coachman: Me either. He then just randomly placed Edge in a match against John Cena! Something is up, but whatever it is Cole … I think I may like it.

Cole: Speak for yourself Coach, because something smells fishy.

Umaga w/ Armando Estrada vs. Hardcore Holly

That’s right baby AE is back with Umaga!! After being fired from ECW as the GM, Estrada has now rejoined Umaga as his handler. This match kicks off with a bang as Holly and Umaga really go at one of another. Hardcore is his usual stiff self and really lays into the ‘Samoan Bulldozer’ with tough rights and lefts. He gains the upper hand after connecting with a scoop slam. He follows it up by dropping an elbow into the beast and things seem to be going his way. Holly is in the offense for a couple more minutes before Umaga fights back. He connects with a vicious uppercut that sends Holly into the corner of the ring. He then nails him with a splash and Holly is on spaghetti feet. Umaga takes a step back and then flattens Hardcore with a SUPERKICK!! The crowd can’t believe it as Holly falls into the canvas.

Umaga sits Holly up and puts him against the bottom turnbuckle. He walks across the ring to the opposite corner and lets out a loud roar before charging at Holly and connecting with a Samoan Wrecking Ball! Holly really seems dazed as his eyes begin to glaze over. Umaga is ruthless in his attack and picks Holly up and brings him into the center of the ring. Estrada then gets on the ring apron and pulls out one of his ever tasty Cuban Cigars. Estrada raises it into the air and then breaks it in half. Umaga then nails Holly with the fatal Samoan Spike for the three count.

Winner: Umaga @ 8:54

We appear to be in the locker room of the World Tag Team Champions Trevor Murdoch & Chris Harris. The two are just sittin’ back and talkin’ things over when their locker room door swings open. Standing on the other side is … Chuck Palumbo!? Palumbo appears to have dropped the biker gimmick and is looking pretty … generic.

Murdoch: (confused) What the hell do ya want?

Palumbo: I came in here to tell you two rednecks that you better not get used to havin’ those tag team championship belts around your waist because I am going to take them from you.

The champs look at each other when Harris rises to his feet.

Harris: You? Hey brother, these are World TAG TEAM Championships, a TAG TEAM … and your only one person.

Palumbo: Not anymore.

Palumbo moves to the side and Sean O’ fricking Haire walks into the doorway!! The crowd roars a little bit at the sight of maybe the best tag team in WCW. Harris and Murdoch stare emotionless as Palumbo and O’Haire walk out.

Michael Cole: Sean O’Haire!? Coach, Sean O’Haire is back in the WWE!!

Coachman: I can’t believe Cole. Palumbo and O’Haire were one of the greatest tag teams in WCW and if they can recreate that history I’d be scared if I were Chris Harris or Trevor Murdoch.

Cody Rhodes vs. Kenny Dykstra

The future of the WWE faces off tonight on Smackdown in this singles match. Early on Dykstra begins to work over Rhodes’ right arm and continues to focus on that throughout the match. He almost had Rhodes submit to an armbar but the 2nd generation superstar was able to roll out of the hold. Dykstra pretty much dominated the entire match, but Rhodes’ capitalized off of a missed leg drop with a spike DDT for the win.

Winner: Cody Rhodes @ 6:42

-Commercial Break-

Backstage we are shown Ted DiBiase’s General Manager Office door when it suddenly opens and … John Cena walks out of it!! The crowd lays into Cena with heat as he walks off with a smile on his face.

Cole: What was that about?! John Cena was in our General Manager’s office and Coach he certainly appeared happy when he walked off. I really hope this doesn’t mean what I think it does.

Coach: John Cena AND Ted DiBiase are both SMART business men and after the way Edge flipped on the GM today I don’t blame Ted DiBiase.

World Heavyweight Championship Number One Contender – Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Kennedy

Chris Jericho joins us on the commentary team talking how he doesn’t care which man wins this match because he will destroy them both. Hardy and Kennedy have a lot of chemistry together and it shows in this match up. Kennedy takes the advantage as he backs Hardy into the corner of the ring. He then lays into him with rights and lefts before whipping him across the ring to the opposite corner. He follows up with a running clothesline that, for a few moments, dazes Hardy. Kennedy the bounces off the ropes and takes Hardy’s leg out with a knee chop. Hardy drops down to one knee as Kennedy bounces off the ropes adjacent to him and kicks him right in the face!!

Kennedy covers Hardy afterwards and almost earns himself the right to face Jericho at Fully Loaded. Kennedy gets to his feet and pulls Hardy to up with him. He uppercuts Hardy before kneeing him in the gut and connecting with a snap suplex. Jericho begins to praise Kennedy but says Jeff Hardy is no ‘King of the World.’ Kennedy lifts Hardy back up and whips him into the ropes. He then bends over for a back body drop but Hardy kicks him square in the shoulder! Hardy then backs up into the ropes, gains momentum and then connects with Kennedy’s face with an unorthodox forearm shot. Kennedy stumbles into the ropes and bounces back into the middle of the ring. When he does Jeff connects with a missile dropkick!!

Kennedy is flat on his back and Hardy begins to ascend to the top rope. Kennedy however gets to his feet in time and runs up the turnbuckles. Kennedy tries to connect with a superplex but Hardy punches him off. Kennedy begins to lose his balance and Hardy knocks him with one big time right hand and Kennedy falls right on his back. Hardy then leaps off and connects with the Swanton Bomb!! The crowd pops big time as Hardy coves Kennedy and picks up the win.

Winner: Jeff Hardy @ 13:03

It’ll be Jeff Hardy versus Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship!! As soon as the match is done Jericho grabs his World Heavyweight Championship belt and slips into the ring. Hardy is celebrating his victory and when he turns around Jericho plants with the championship belt!! Hardy falls over from the vicious shot and the crowd begins to lay into Jericho with boos. The ‘King of the World’ holds up his belt and looks down at the broken Hardy.

Backstage we see John Cena walking towards the ring and not very far behind him is … Ted DiBiase!?

Main Event Match – John Cena w/ Ted DiBiase vs. Edge

John Cena made his way out to the ring with the General Manager right behind him. Everyone appears confused, especially Edge who made his entrance with a mixed reaction from the crowd. Right off the bat the two former rivals lock up and Edge gains the early upper hand with a side headlock. Edge wrenches in the pain but Cena is able to elbow his way of out of the hold. Edge tries to Irish whip Cena into the ropes but Cena reverses it and nails him with a big time clothesline. Edge is able to semi get to his feet when Cena grabs him and connects with a belly to belly suplex. Edge gets up again and Cena charges at him and nails him with a shoulder block!! The time Edge stays down for awhile as the crowd boos like crazy. On the outside DiBiase is clapping his hands.

Cena walks over to Edge and picks him up to his feet before tossing him into the corner of the ring. He then connects with a shoulder thrust right into his gut. After a couple thrusts Cena harshly whips Edge across the ring into the corner. Edge bounces off and stumbles into the middle of the ring. Cena sprints at him, but Edge ducks under a clothesline attempt. When Cena turns back around Edge kicks him in the gut and plants with a DDT out of nowhere! The crowd pops as Edge rolls over to the ropes and pulls himself up. He walks over to Cena and pulls him by his head before nailing him with a big right hand.

Edge bounces Cena off the ropes and when he comes back he lifts him into the air and sends him crashing into the canvas with a flapjack!! Edge covers Cena after this but only gets two. The two men get to their feet and exchange some blows. They work their way over to the corner of the ring where Edge hits a Russian leg sweep. Edge gets up and walks away from Cena before squatting down. He runs his hands through his hair and begins to breathe heavily. When Cena gets to his feet Edge charges him and connects with the SPEAR!!! The crowd lets out a pop as Edge covers Cena. However the referee is unable to make the count as DiBiase gets on the ring apron! At this time Big Show comes out of the crowd and enters the ring. He pulls Edge to his feet and nails him with a chokeslam!!! He pulls Cena on top of Edge and exits the ring. The referee turns around and counts 1,2 and 3!

Winner: John Cena @ 15:54

Cole: What is going on!? Big Show and Ted DiBiase just helped John Cena win that match. I don’t get this, what is Ted DiBiase trying to do!?

Coach: Well it looks like DiBiase is getting the biggest and the baddest on Smackdown to have his back. And at the same time John Cena just beat Edge!!

Inside the ring Big Show pulls Cena up to his feet as The Great Khali comes down to the ring. DiBaise orders Khali into the ring and Khali does so. The ‘Punjabi Giant’ picks Edge up and then connects with the Khali Bomb, a two handed chokebomb. The crowd lays into this group with tremendous heat.
