“Across the Nation” hits and the opening video plays.

The crowd goes crazy as Monday Night Raw comes live on the USA network, as fans hold up their signs.
Right away “No Chance” hits the PA System and there is a mixed reaction from the crowd. Vince walks out from behind the curtain with his usually strut and walks down the ramp. He step into the ring and gets a microphone.
Vince McMahon: As many of you know last night every single WWE Championship was vacated. And also there is now only ONE brand in the WWE. The WWE did not want to do this but was forced to due to low ratings of WWE Programing. Therefore tonight will start the Tournament for the Vacant WWE Championship. The way this tournament will work, is over course of the next several weeks a series of matches will go down and the final match being at The Royal Rumble. Also tonight there will be a 10 man over the top battle royal for the Vacant Intercontinental Championship. The first match in the tournament will start right now!
“The Game” hits the PA System to a huge pop. Triple H makes his way from out behind the curtain with a water bottle in his hand. He stands at the top of the ramp doing his usually pose. He walks down the ramp and tosses his bottle of water into the crowd. He gets up on the apron and spits out his water. He steps into the ring and awaits his opponent.
“I Walk Alone” blares through the PA System to a standing ovation Batista runs through the curtain and makes his to the top of the ramp. He does his usually pose and PYRO ,PYRO. The crowd cheers as Batista makes his way down the ramp. He makes his way into the ring and poses on all four turnbuckles.
Jim Ross: Well what one hell of a match this will turn out to be. These two men faced off at WrestleMania 21 for the World Heavyweight Championship and it was one hell of a match. These two men had one hell a rivalry.
Jerry “The King” Lawler: Yes they did J.R. and do you remember that Hell In A Cell Match at Vengeance of that same year.
Jim Ross: Indeed I do King. This should be a wonderful match from two great athletes.
Both men are in their respective corners, when the ref calls for the bell.

Batisa and Triple H have a stare down as half of the crowd is chanting “Triple H” and the other half chanting “Batista”. They both walk to the middle of the ring and go nose to nose as they exchange words. Batista throws a strong right hand and the match is underway. Both men throw strong right and left hands. Triple H throws a strong left hand but it is blocked by Batista, he throws a huge right hand and knocks down Triple H. Triple H is knocked down again and again until he just stays down and back into the corner. Batista laughs and the crowed cheers. Batista walks over to the corner and Triple H pulls himself up and throws Batista RIGHT INTO THE RING POST!
Batista falls to the outside of the ring and lays flat on the ground. The ref tries to stop Triple H from leaving the ring but its no use. Triple H walks to the outside of the ring and picks up Batista. He Irish Whips Batista into the barricade. He walks back over to Batista and begins with right and left hands to the gut. Batista is screaming in pain with every hit. Triple H goes to Irish Whip Batista into the steel steps but Batista uses all of his strength to reverse it and he does. Both men are out cold and the ref begins his count.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Raw comes back from the commercial break and both men are back in the ring. The two men lock up in the middle of the ring and it is now a test of power. Triple H realizes that he does not have enough power to beat Batista and he just kicks him in the gut. Batista falls to his knees and Triple H begins to throw some strong right hands to the face of Batista. The ref pulls Triple H off of Batista to reveal that Batista is BUSTED OPEN! Triple H walks back over to Batista and goes for the cover 1.........................................2.......................................3-NO BATISTA GETS THE SHOULDER UP. Triple H can’t believe it, Triple H picks Batista up and Irish Whips Batista into the corner, Triple H walks over there and gets on the second Turnbuckle and begins to punch him in the head. Triple H hits Batista in the head ten times before stopping. Batista falls down and the crowd boo’s Triple H, Triple H gives the SUCK IT SIGN TO THE CROWD. The crowd boos again. Triple H puts Batista in the figure 4 leg-lock. Batista is screaming in pain and Triple H will not let go. Batista uses every ounce of energy to get over to the rope and, ALMOST THERE....................................NO- Triple H pulls him away. Triple H locks in the hold again and Batista is screaming in pain.
Batista once again gives every thing he has to get to the bottom of the rope......................................YES HE GETS THERE! Triple H is forced to break the hold. Batista lies on the mat holding onto the ropes so Triple H does not lock in the hold again. Triple H picks up Batista and Irish Whips him, Batista comes back and ducks, he comes back again and nails Triple H with a HUGE clothesline. Both men are out cold on the mat. The ref begins his count, 1...................................2...........................................3................... ....................4..................................................5............................ ...............6- Batista and Triple H begin to stagger to the feet. Batista gets the advantage because he is back to his feet first. Batista and Triple H begin to exchange blows. Batsista ducks on one and Triple H comes back and Batista nails a huge spinebuster. Batista goes for the cover 1............................2.............................................3 YES BATISTA wins the match with a huge spinebuster.

Jerry “The King” Lawler: You said it J.R im------------im almost speechless
Jim Ross: Your right King. Ladies and Gentlemen I have just been given word that we are going to speak to the one and only Bret “Hitman” Hart.
Bret Hart appears on the titiantron to a huge and standing ovation. Jim Ross is standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone.
Jim Ross: Good Evening Mr. Hart, I have been given word that you have to tell us a couple of very important things about your future with the WWE. What are they?
Bret “Hitman” Hart: We’ll first of all I would like to say thank you for that wonderful ovation. First of all I would like to tell each and everyone of you that I have signed a 2 year contract with the WWE that states I can wrestle where I want and when I want. And furthermore-----------
“LongHorn” hits the PA System to some major heat, as JBL has just cut of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. JBL comes out dancing and looking very cocky. He walks down the ramp and steps into the ring. You can here him say Jim give me the damn microphone.
JBL: Bret Hart you always talk about how you are the greatest wrestler of all time but Bret you have never beaten me! And you could never beat me even on your best day. As much as you tried as close as you came you could never beat me because I am a “ WRESTLING GOD”!
Bret “Hitman” Hart: JBL I’m going to say the same thing all these people are saying. Shut UP! Nobody wants to hear you come out here week after week talking about how you are a wrestling god. We are all sick and tired of it.
JBL: No Bret you shut up. Your not going to tell me what to do even if you can beat me, which you can’t.
Bret “Hitman” Hart: John you do know how I just signed a contract with the WWE that says I can wrestle when ever I want. Well I am thinking next week John Bradshaw Layfield Vs Bret “The Hitman” Hart!
JBL: Fine Bret you want to see who the better man is then fine. Your on. But this wont prove anything because I no I am the better man because I have more class and I am a WRESTLING GOD!
Bret “Hitman” Hart: Good that’s what I wanted to hear from you. You wont beat me because I am “ The Best There Was”, “The Best There Is”, and “ The Best There Ever Will Be”.

COMMERCIAL BREAK
Raw comes back from the commercial break and D’Lo Brown, Cody Rhodes, Carlito, CM Punk, and Chavo Guerrero are all standing in the ring. It’s time for the Battle Royal.
The Hardy Boyz theme song hits the PA System and Matt and Jeff come out looking fired up. They run down the ramp and slide into the ring.
“Slow Chemical” hits the PA System to huge pop. Kane comes out laughing as if to say there is no competition at all. He walks down the ramp at a slow pace and climbs over the top rope.
“Hello Ladies” hits the PA System to mixed reaction, most of the cheers coming from the females I the crowd. Val walks down the ramp and slides into the ring. He whips his towel off.
“619” hits the PA System to one of the loudest pops of the night. Rey Mysterio comes running out and runs into the ring. He almost immediately hits Chavo.

Chavo and Rey go at it and every SuperStar is avoiding Kane. CM Punk and Carlito start to go at it as well. Matt and Jeff decide if they want anyone to have a chance that they only choice is to double team Kane. Jeff goes running at Kane first and is nailed with a huge uppercut. Matt runs at him but than stops once he gets close to him, he runs away. Kane stops him and knocks him down. D’Lo Brown and Cody Rhodes both walk over to Matt and Jeff and begin to take out Matt and Jeff. Kane comes over to help them as well. Val walks over to Chavo and begins to help Rey out. Rey pushes Val off and the get into a shoving fight. They start to exchange right hands while Chavo is down out. Kane picks up Jeff and throws him into the corner. Kane gets in some huge uppercuts while Jeff is in the corner. Chavo is back up now runs over to Kane and he hits him in the back. Kane turns around and laughs. Kane slaps his hand around Chavo’s throat and nails a HUGE CHOKESLAM. Kane picks Chavo up and tosses him to the outside of the ring.

Kane walks over to Val and Rey and Rey and Val both begin to double team Kane. They have Kane pinned in the corner and are hitting him again and again. Kane uses all of the strength he has to push them off and he just throws them off of him. Rhodes and Jeff are going at it in the middle of the ring exchanging right and left hands. Jeff throws a huge right but Rhodes ducks and nails a huge clothesline. Rhodes leaves Jeff in the middle of the ring and walks over to CM Punk. Rhodes taps Punk on the shoulder and he turns around. He tries for a clothesline but once again Rhodes ducks. Punk comes back and one German suplex, two, and three, he hits the hat trick. Rhodes is looking unstoppable right now. But he decides to press his luck by walking over to Kane. Rhodes tries to explain that they should double team everyone and Kane shakes his head. Kane throws Val Venis out of his way and him and Rhodes walk over to the other side of the ring.
On the other side of the ring Rey, Matt, D’Lo, and Carlito are all over there. Rhodes and Kane walk over there and Carlito sees them. Carlito charges at Rhodes and drives him back to the other corner of the ring. Carlito begins to hit Rhodes in the head as many times as he can. Rhodes falls down into the corner and Carlito takes a few steps back. Carlito gets a running start and kicks Rhodes right in the chest. Rhodes screams in pain as Carlito walks back to the other side of the ring. Carlito is behind Kane and he nails a huge backcracker. Kane fallks down to the mat and Carlito and D’Lo start to go at it. On the opposite side of the ring CM Punk and Val Venis lock up. Punk begins to lose the battle and kicks him in the gut. Matt and Jeff walk over there as well and throw Val out of the ring.

Matt and Jeff almost instantly go after Punk. Punk battles both of them back as best as they can. Cody Rhodes comes over to help out Punk and pulls Jeff off of him. In the middle of the ring Rey and D’Lo begin to fight throwing punch after punch. The eventually lock up with D’Lo getting the upper hand and suplexing Rey right back down to the mat. In the other corner of the ring Carlito is hitting Kane in the head, while the crowd chants “Carlito Sucks”. Carlito gets off of Kane to reveal that he has been busted open. This can’t be good for Carlito. Carlito turns around and laughs, Kane sits up. Carlito turns around and Kane is standing there looking furious. Kane locks his hand on Carlito’s neck and throws him in the corner. Carlito looks scared out of his mind. He waves his arms at Kane telling him not to do anything. Kane begins with some huge uppercuts that throw Carlito backwards. In the middle of the ring D’Lo and Rey are both laid out on the mat. Jeff and Rhodes are still battling until Rhodes gets the upper hand and tosses Jeff out of the ring. At the same time Kane tosses Carlito out of the ring.

Replay is shown showing what happened during the commercial break. During the break Rhodes and Matt were fighting towards the ropes and Hardy sets up for the twist of fate. Rhodes counters it and throws Hardy out of the ring, CODY RHODES HAS JUST ELIMINATED BOTH HARDY’S.

Back to a live picture, Rhodes and Punk are double teaming Kane. On the other side of the ring D’Lo Brown and Rey Mysterio are laying on the mat. Rhodes and Punk both set up for a double suplex but it is countered by Kane. The crowd goes exacted as Kane has just suplexed two men at one time. WHAT POWER! Kane sits up and does not look happy. He walks over to D’Lo Brown and picks him up. He picks him up in a military press and easily tosses him out of the ring.

Rhodes and Punk are still down but Mysterio begins to stagger to his feet. Kane sees this and he sets up for a Chokeslam Mysterio gets up and Kane slaps the his hand over his neck Kane lifts Mysterio at least seven feet in the hair and slams him down with so much force that the whole arena shakes. Kane walks over to Punk and does the same exact same thing to him and Rhodes. Kane is on fire. Kane picks up Mysterio and tosses him out of the ring. He walks over to Punk and does the same thing.

Cody Rhodes sees that Kane is standing right on the edge of the rope and scatters over there. He lifts up Kane’s left leg and tosses him over the top rope. There are mixed reactions as Cody Rhodes has just eliminated Kane to win the Intercontinental Championship.

CUTS BACKSTAGE
Todd Grishman: Ladies and Gentlemen I am standing here with none other than the “Legend Killer” Randy Orton. Now Randy you have a huge match tonight against Shawn Michaels in the first round of the WWE Championship tournament.
Randy Orton: That’s right Todd, and tonight I will destroy the “HeartBreak Kid” Shawn Michaels just like I have time and time before. I did it at Unforgiven in 2003 and just like I did a couple of months ago I will put Shawn Michaels out again. And this time out for good!
Randy Orton leaves the backstage area and Raw cuts to a Commercial Break. Raw comes back from the break and Justin Roberts is standing in the middle of the ring.
Justin Roberts: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the WWE Hardcore Championship!
Hardcore Holly’s music hits the PA System to a crowd of boo’s Holly comes walking out with the look of determination on his face. He is ready to with the Hardcore Championship which has just been brought back due to the merge. Holly stands I the center of the ring awaiting his opponent.
Finaly’s music hits the PA System to yet again a crowd of boos. Finaly walks out looking very ready for this match. This is his kind of match but it is also Holly’s match. Finaly gets about half way down the ramp when Holly charges at him.

Holly goes straight to work on the lower back with several right hands to the kidney area. Finaly screams in pain with every shot to the back. Holly kicks him in the abdomen area and nails a huge suplex on the steel girding. Holly goes for the quick cover, 1............................2 Finaly gets the shoulder up. Holly gets up from the ground and walks down to the ring. He flips up the apron and pulls out various weapons. He pulls out street signs, garbage cans and lids, and a kindo stick. Finaly begins to get up and walks down to where Holly is. Holly picks up the trash can and nails Finaly with it. The crowd is now starting to get into it and not as many people are leaving. Finaly in on his knees and Holly picks up a trash can lid. He walks over to Finaly and smashes it on his head, but Finaly stays on his knees and barley budges. Finaly is one tough SOB. Finaly starts to ask Holly to smash it over his head again. Holly whines up and smashes it over his head again. This time Finaly falls over and is busted wide open. Right now this doesn’t even look like a wrestling match, it looks like a brutal beat down. Holly gets on top of Finaly and begins with closed fists to the already busted open head of Finaly. Holly hooks the leg, 1.......................................2...............................NO Finaly kicks out. Holly picks Finaly up and Irish Whips Finaly. Finaly reverses it and Holly is throws into the side of the ring. Finaly falls to his knees and tries to get up. He tries to push himself up but it doesn’t look like he have enough strength.
He tries to push himself up one more time and he makes it to his feet. Finaly walks back down to the ring where Hardcore Holly is finally making it back to his feet. Holly sees Finaly coming down to the ring and gets to his feet as fast as he can. You can see Holly’s lips moving like he is talking trash to Finaly. Holly walks up to Finaly and the two men begin to exchange right and left hands. However Finaly blocks one and nails a huge clothesline on Holly. While Holly is laying on the ground Finaly walks over to the ring. He begins to look under the ring and he pulls out a table. He sets the table up and walks back over to Holly. He picks Holly up and drags him back to the ring hitting him in the head a couple of times. Finaly throws Holly on the table and climbs onto the top rope. Finaly jumbs but Holly rolls out of the way, and Finaly goes crashing through the table. Holly rolls back over and puts his arm around Finaly and the ref begins to count, 1...........................2.................................3, Yes Hardcore Holly is the winner of the match.

Holly is handed the Hardcore Championship as he makes it to his feet. He celebrates with his new championship as Finaly is still lying in a puddle of blood.

Jim Ross: Welcome back folks, and coming up next is our main event of the evening. A match between “The Legend Killer” Randy Orton and “The Heartbreak Kid”, “The Show Stopper” HBK Shawn Michaels. This isn’t the first time these men have meet inside that squared circle. These two men have had a hellacious past.
Jerry “The King” Lawler: And indeed they have J.R. Do you remember their match at Unforgiven in 2003.
Jim Ross: Why yes I do King.
“Burn In My Light” hits the PA System to some major heat. Orton comes out looking as cockeye as can be with a little smirk on his face as he always does.
“Sexy Boy” hits to the biggest pop of the night. Shawn walks out and the pyros go off. Shawn walks down the ramp and steps into the ring.
Both men meet in the center of the ring. They both exchange some words with it leading to Orton smacking the face of Michales. The crowd boos at the despicable move Orton have just pulled. Michales whips his face off with his hand and then pushes Orton down to the ground. Orton crawls into the corner with a lock of concern on his face. This isn’t the same HBK he fought many times before. This is a totally different HBK and he is on a mission to win the WWE Championship and no one is going to stop him. HBK walks over to the corner and Orton hops up. HBK pushes Orton back into the corner and hits him with a hard chop to the chest. Followed by another and another. HBK Irish Whips Orton to the opposite corner of the ring. HBK has so much force behind it that Orton falls down as soon as he hits. HBK walks over to the corner where Orton fell and picks Orton up. He throws him into the corner and begins to chop again. He hits him once followed by another and another. Orton falls into the corner and HBK drags him out of the corner. HBK pulls him into the center of the ring in locks in the figure four lock. Orton begins to scream in pain as he hold his head. The referee starts to check on Orton to see if he wants to give up. You can hear Orton say “No” countless times. Orton than slower begins to fade, the ref checks on him and there is no response. The referee picks up Orton’s arm drops once, twice but he catches himself on the third one. Orton fights through the pain to get to the rope and he gets there. The referee forces HBK to break the hold and he has no choice but to. HBK once again drags Orton into the center of the ring. He picks Orton up and delivers a quick snap suplex. HBK rolls over and goes for the first cover of the match. 1........................2.......Orton quickly gets the shoulder up. HBK goes over to the corner and climbs the top rope. HBK jumps and comes crashing down with the elbow. Shawn jumps up and walks over to the corner of the ring. He begins to tap his foot and everyone knows what this means, Sweat Chin Music is coming. Orton slowly begins to stagger to his feet and he sees HBK tunning up the band. Orton quickly gets out of the ring. Orton is lying on the outside of the ring and HBK jumps over the ropes and nails a high cross body. Both men are out cold and we cut to a commercial break.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Raw returns from the break and both men are back in the ring, with Orton in control of the match. Orton and HBK are lying on the mat while Orton has HBK in a side headlock. The crowd is willing on HBK and Michales begins to tap his foot. Orton is shacking his head telling the crowd to stop. HBK makes it to one knee and elbows Orton in the stomach. Orton doesn’t let go of the hold and HBK elbows him again. This time Orton breaks the hold and HBK tries for a clothesline. Orton ducks and as HBK turns around he runs right into a standing dropkick. Orton crawls over to HBK and hooks the leg, 1.....................2..............HBK powers out of the pinning predicament. Orton scoots back and sets up for the RKO, HBK makes it to his feet and Orton tries for the RKO. HBK pushes him off and Orton bounces off the ropes. Orton comes back and HBK tries for Sweet Chin Music, but Orton catches the kick and nails the RKO. Orton goes for the cover, 1.............................2...........................3-NO HBK somehow, someway gets the shoulder up. Orton gets up and picks up HBK. Orton then gets in a few strong European Uppercuts. HBK begins to wobble and Orton nails a huge back breaker. Orton goes for the cover yet again, 1.........................2...............NO HBK kicks out. Orton sets up for the RKO once more and just then--------------
“Is Cookin” hits the PA System to a HUGE!!! pop and a standing ovation. The people’s champion comes charging out from behind the curtain and Orton can’t believe his eyes at what he sees.
Jerry “The King” Lawler: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH J.R it’s the Rock.
Jim Ross: By GWAD King, it is. We haven’t seen the Rock in over two years in the WWE and there he is right in front of our very eyes. And what a standing ovation he just got.
Jerry “The King” Lawler: Randy Orton looks like he is going to shit himself J.R
Jim Ross: I think he already did King.
The Rock is distracting Orton while HBK makes it back to his feet. The Rock tells Orton to turn around and Orton runs right into a superkick. HBK goes for the cover and this match should be over, 1.....................................2.................................3 YES HBK wins. The Rock smiles as HBK himself looks in disbelief.

Jim Ross: What a huge night we have just had King. I still can’t believe the Rock has returned.
Jerry Lawler: Neither can I J.R, I’m in total shock.
