Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July 2008
I think it's a good idea personally. I mean it would be interesting to see someone bring in say John Cena in 2001 with a completely different gimmick to what he debuted with. And then to see how it ends up a few years down the line.

What do you guys think of my backstory just being a ppv. I dont like the idea of making a farfetched storyline and I think i could tell my story better by having slight changes to a ppv that has took place.

I've seen people do it. PPV results are usually fine, as long as you stick with mostly the same storylines that WWE/TNA was using at that time IRL.

For example, say you were doing a 2003 thread and you repackaged Bradshaw as JBL, a year before his gimmick change. Or say you were doing a 2001 thread and you brought in John Cena, a year before his actual debut. How would you react?

I wouldn't mind and it would be good to see them feud with different people as there would obviously be different people to feud with from the time range. Go for it if thats what your thinking of doing.

I don't think bringing people in too far ahead of their debut is such a bad thing ... just as long as it seems possible ... like JBL becoming Bradshaw.

Agreed. As long as Brock Lesnar doesn't become Fujigawa Lopez Smith, it is OK.

I'm not a fan of re-writing history (the past, anyway). However, yeah, I do think it is interesting to see how people would do things with them and what they can create (or re-create). So no, it wouldn't bring me off, it just makes me feel sorta touchy as far as the thread goes in that aspect.

That's perfectly fine if it makes you comfertable and it makes enough sense for a good starting point.

Who do think is best fit to be a general manager besides Regal, Long, Guerrero, Bischoff, Mick Foley & Mike Adamle?
Only non-wrestlers please.

Shane and Steph. Also, you included Vickie but not Armando?

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - July 2008
Is it bad that I forgot about him?
Stephanie has done it already. Booking wise there nothing left there.
Shane is horrible...I can never take him as an authority figure serious.
