You asked whether it would keep the reader interested and the fact is, it won't, only your shows will keep the reader interested, providing they are good enough.
Cluttering it with all kids of crap won't make your BTB seem better, its a fact. Look at Maccy and Legend's threads. Do you see any extra stuff? No, and they are still FAR and AWAY the best threads active at the moment.
Very true, But having something different to read is always enjoyable.

And don't you think a wrestling ring is a little old school, Lilian? Why not put the match in a shark tank, with real live sharks? Hungry sharks! And the only way to beat your opponent is to stuff him down a shark's throat, and pin the shark. Wouldn't that be a hoot?"
"I became the first ever Euro-continental champion in WWF history. Well, besides D-Lo Brown, but he doesn't count."
Hehe, I like utilizing articles and such if it's used to efficiency. As you can see, I used Power 25s, Pro Wrestling Insider, and I like to conduct interviews and pre match Promos and such once I get around to them. To me, it's not essential, but I do like 'em. Personal preference, FTW.

I am not saying it isn't enjoyable to read, just saying that he should concentrate more on the shows. Hell if he has LOADS of time, which I doubt since he has school and all, let him do it each week. I am just saying it's a waste of his time.
i am still getting to know how this all works but what i like to see is
match quality
promos
storyline continuation
and also some backstage info that they wouldnt mention on the show itself so that we know whats going on roster wise and talent wise and also updates on whos the leading superstars in the company

Alright, I see where your coming from now. I wouldn't really cluster It with it but yeah thanks for the advice from everyone, you've all really helped me out.
I think news and notes should be every week or possibly every two weeks. I agree with DC ... Mac and Legend just post shows, with the minimal amounts of News & Notes. That is what keeps me interested ... the shows. Even though posting something from the 'Wrestling Observer Newsletter' gives readers an idea of where you're going ... I like that. But don't post news and notes every day ... you can use shows to give updates/reports.

Well I like the New And Notes, but I agree not too often, amke it special and big when you do it. Otherwise little two line ones are looked at as a way of bumping your thread.

Especially when you see someone do one every day for three days in a row, just clearly bumping up and disregarding the double post to triple post! I'm not saying that's happened today, but it kind of has!!!
