Default WWE: The Turn Around

***

Hello there. Yes I know, it’s been a while since I’ve been around here, but I figured I’d give booking a try yet again. My last thread ended months ago, so I can’t really say when it was because I don’t even remember when it did. Moving on, this BTB will begin after Vengeance: Night of Champions from last year. I will be keeping all 3 brands, and RAW and SmackDown will be posted in full, while ECW will be written in recapped form. This will be done on my own terms, which is the reason why ECW is staying and being recapped as well.

With that said, here are the results from that show.

***

Vengeance: The Night of Champions

Date: June 24th, 2007
Location: Houston, Texas; Toyota Center
Theme: Gone; Fuel

World Tag Team Championships
The Redneck Wrecking Crew def. The Hardy Boyz at 8:51 after Lance Cade hit a sit-out spinebuster on Jeff Hardy.

Cruiserweight Championship
Chavo Guerrero def. Jimmy Wang Yang at 9:15 after Chavo Guerrero hit the Frog Splash on Jimmy Wang Yang.

ECW World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk def. Johnny Nitro at 8:03 after CM Punk forced Johnny Nitro into submission with the Anaconda Vice.

Intercontinental Championship
Santino Marella def. Umaga by disqualification at 2:35 after Umaga hit repeated shots in the corner to Santino Marella.

United States Championship
Montel Vontavious Porter def. Ric Flair at 8:40 after MVP hit the Playmaker on Ric Flair.

WWE Tag Team Championships
Deuce ‘n Domino def. Jimmy Snuka & Sgt. Slaughter at 6:29 after Deuce pinned Jimmy Snuka after rolling through the Superfly Splash.

World Heavyweight Championship; Last Chance Match
Edge def. Batista at 16:50. Batista initially ‘won’ the match after hitting the Batista Bomb on Edge, but Edge’s leg was under the bottom rope. The referee noticed this, reversed the decision and restarted the match, and while telling the timekeeper, Edge low-blowed Batista, and then hit the Spear to win.

Women’s Championship
Melina def. Candice Michelle at 4:21 after Melina hit a reverse DDT on Candice Michelle.

WWE Championship; 5-Way Challenge Match
John Cena def. Bobby Lashley, Randy Orton, King Booker and Mick Foley at 10:07 after John Cena hit the F-U on Mick Foley.

From WWE.com:
Breaking News – Monday June 25, 2007; 12:00 PM
In what is only described as shocking news, WWE superstar Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their son Daniel have been found dead in their home in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. The details of this are both troubling and saddening, due to this, in what is the best interest for World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., Chris Benoit’s legacy will be remembered, but his name will never be mentioned again. Chairman Vincent K. McMahon has been quoted to be “saddened and horrified” by the events that have taken place, but has said tonight’s RAW will go on, as will the entire state of the WWE.

With your recent posting in the section, I kind of expected this.

This is a good time to start, imo. Hopefully you don't have Edge injure himself, catapulting Khali to the World Title.

I like the way you're handling the Benoit situation. Looks very professional, and definitely something realistic.

Overall, organization is great and this should start up something good. Stick to it, plz.

O, and the colors for TGAB look stupid. Red to blue to white? Should be the other way

Everything looks in order man, I expect this to be pretty good. Glad to see you not going down the generic line of saying ECW is gone. Good luck.

This looks good man. Glad to see that your keeping the three brands. Hopefully you will be able to shape ECW into something watchable

RAW Preview for June 25, 2007

Monday Night RAW comes to you live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas!

After coming off of an explosive Vengeance, RAW brings you a guaranteed jam packed edition that will have you wanting more. Last night, a challenge was made, a WWE Championship Challenge. 'The Champ' John Cena survived yet again, so what other challenges will face the reigning WWE Champion tonight on RAW?

Also, last night a huge upset was made. An upset occurred when it was announced that Santino Marella had defeated 'The Samoan Bulldozer' Umaga. We have an announcement coming staright from WWE.com that tonight on RAW, will be a Vengeance rematch! Yes, that's right, Santino Marella will face Umaga for the Intercontinental Championship, in a No Disqualification match.

All of this madness, plus Jeff Hardy will be in action.

---

RAW on Tuesday.

No surprise to see Umaga/Santino to get a rematch, and have it be No DQ. I expect a title change, will be disappointed if there isn't one, tbh.

Keep the championship scene fresh and exciting plz. Don't go for what they did irl, creativity will separate this from the rest of the bunch.

Will be reading.

I agree. I think Umaga will make for a much better champion than Santino, that is of course unless Santino turns heel.

Also you mentioned Jeff Hardy would be in action, I wonder if he will do anything significant?

Good luck.

Looks nothing but quality so far. Well presented and I like the way you wrote off Benoit. Very professional and very well written. Starting after Night Of Champions 07 doesn't really excite me, but the results are good and im looking forward to where you go with this. Good luck and I hope this thread sticks around.

This PPV looks pretty solid ... as Vengeance 2007 is a great place to start. I love Punk as ECW Champion instead of Nitro. I am interested to see where both the Raw and SD! World Title pictures go. Good luck~!

hey preview sounds good i was not around when you did your last BTB so i am interested to see where you go with it. Anyway yeah interested to see who Cena's next rivalry will be hopefully a new opponent or if it is with an old foe make it something unique.

I like the rematch i either expect Umaga to win and begin a feud with someone or Santino to keep getting all these cheap victories until they meet up at a PPV and then Santino gets squashed

Dont really care for Jeff Hardy but yeah show seems good
