Default Re: WWE - The Time Has Come

~I like the title of your Raw recap seeming how it was the same old shit lol. Regal being fired is good but I hope you bring in another GM soon enough. I was surprised Haas went over Cade and Rhodes went over Burke; I like the Haas decision but I do not like the Rhodes one. Burke is so much better than Rhodes IMO. I like the decision to have the KOTR winner face any champion at NOC, good move there.

~A simple ECW show here. Benjamin in the KOTR = ratings. I love Benjamin and I hope he goes far in the tournament. With that promo from Burke I have to wonder if he will move to Raw to feud with Rhodes, but meh. Again I do not like Rhodes at all.

~Good announcements from Guerrero and Edge versus Taker in TLC should be a great match. I like how Big Show has rekindled his attitude as the biggest big man in the game but I feel that a chokeslam to Big Daddy V through an announce table is unrealistic. I don’t think even Big Show will be able to lift Big Daddy V with one hand through a table. Guerrero being takin’ out is interesting. I wonder if you will run with this as an angle or if it was a onetime thing. Orton as a replacement partner was a good move but frankly I do not like it too much. Rated RKO was a great tag team but it is now over. I pray Orton isn’t moving to Smackdown to join the Family. Also MVP and Matt Hardy in the KOTR is a good decision. I think one of them will win it.

~Orton talking about how he now believes he can beat anyone is bad for his character. He is cocky and ALWAYS believes he can beat anyone, but if he does get beat it’s because the opponent got lucky, NOT because he lost cleanly. Nice intensity though with a RKO to the cameraman, don’t believe I’ve seen that one before. Orton then later RKOs McMahon? This either means Orton will be feuding with a face McMahon or Orton will slowly turn face himself. Confusing act there because I don’t think Vince would’ve really cared if Orton touched a non WWE wrestler. Burke helping Benjamin beat Rhodes makes Shelton look VERY weak tbh. Cena vs. JBL is good.

~Not much to say but Kennedy = jobber.

~Vince McMahon is on Smackdown? Umm didn’t he just get RKOed on Raw? That doesn’t make sense; he is no selling the RKO and doesn’t even mention. Does he think we all forgot about it? Not too good there. Plus I think there is too much ‘winner faces champion’ stuff going on. Hardy going over MVP is good, but I’d rather seen MVP and Hardy face each other further down the line in the tournament.

~Benjamin and Hardy going at it for the KOTR is good but I still believe Benjamin is not a worthy contender at the moment. I don’t really like the use of a stretcher match. The last time I can remember that match being used in the WWE before One Night Stand is ... well I can’t remember. JBL going over Cena is VERY good for Bradshaw and I hope he moves up the card asap. I’d rather seen Hardy win the KOTR. ‘Cause at the moment I cannot Benjamin winning ANY title match, not even the ECW title. Also Batista versus Edge is overused and boring. I don’t get why the WWE is doing it again either.

Overall there were some good things but also some confusing things. I think the lack of detail and ideas are hurting you the most. I kinda get what you are doing, but nothing special really came out of this recap.

Default Re: WWE - The Time Has Come

You’ve always made love to the Diary, so here ya go.

Recaps Review

So KOR is back which owns, and Regal is out as GM just like IRL. Nice to Haas advance, and Cody is okay, but I like Burke better. L & K getting a win = ratings. JBL vs. Cena again @ KOR = a war, one which JBL should win I’d say.

Shelton getting mic time and an easy first round opponent leads me to believ he may win the thing. Sounds good to me. Elijah has revenge on his mind I guess. Kofi’s okay. Kane seems destined to feud with whoever he new King is. Seems like ECW is getting a lot of KOR steam, which is good for the brand. Punk > Chavo.

Edge vs. Taker in TLC is exactly what happened in real life, but it’s fine. Pretty funny description of Show-Daddy V tbh. Finlay jobbing in the first round is rubbish to say the least. Hardy > Morrison. Henry advances and not Finlay? Blah. Orton randomly shows up to team with Edge? Strange.

Orton’s finds some new intensity or Raw which is nice. Legend Killer Invitational leads me to believe you’ll bring someone back come KOR. Umaga – Hardy continuing is not the most exciting thing ever, and why weren’t they in the tourney? Samoan Royalty would have certainly = ratings imo. McMahon vs. Orton angle which has seemingly started seems interesting. Perhaps the most interesting thing you’ve cooked up thus far. See the Elijah-Shelton teaming may happen here too. Rhodes pays the price, and Shelton goes over one easy man, and cheats to beat another. I still say he’s being booked to be king. But really, not the best booking, since he’s good enough to win clean. He’s a heel though, so awell. Please change Vengeance to Night of Champions. Batista- HBK – Jericho shenanigans continue from real life to the thread. You gotta start somewhere.

So ECW got the shaft in this write up portion. So Punk advanced to the quarters after they’ve already started? Anyway, loved seeing Punk go over Kennedy. Awesome.

Great way to squash the angle between Batista, Shawn and Y2J. Although, the brand jumping should stop, or else the extension may as well end. One of the things I don’t like about today’s TV is everyone jumping around ALL the time. A one-off angle is okay from time to time, or Interpromotional matches at big pay per views. But in this scenario, if Batista wins he’ll challenge the Game for Raw’s title as a Smackdown competitor? Granted I had Orton as ECW champ as a Smackdown guy. But the angle was totally different, and it worked. It was a big hoopla situation, and was meant to be totally ‘wrong’. Ramble, ramble. Picking Y2J though.

Hardy over MVP to advance in the KOR is fine with me, but don’t let MVP slip away plz. LOVE the name ‘Rated R Entourage’ too. Good name for them two. Kane over Edge only confirms he’ll win at KOR in TLC, as he did in real life (only at a better named PPV).

KOR

Shelton over Punk is certainly a strong win for Benjamin, over Mr. MITB no less. Shame it came with cheating once again.

While I would’ve liked someone else in the role, Henry certainly does help tell the story of Hardy being ‘beaten up’ come the finals.

Love the new tag team champions!

JBL over Cena is good booking for JBL, unlike the crap he’s been dealt post-Mania IRL. Wonder where Booger Layfield goes from here.

Hardy over Umaga sucks in every way shape or form. Period. Thumbs down.

Not sure why you said the Triple Threat was a surprisingly good match. HBK and Jericho were in there, and Big Dave is more underrated than just about anyone. Still perplexed though, because now my gripe from earlier comes true. Meh, whatever. Batista vs. Trips shall create an interesting situation.

Great amount of time given to the KOR final. Would have loved to see Shelton go over clean, as he shouldn’t need help to win every match. At least it was a distraction this time. Still, hopefully Shelton comes off stronger in the weeks to come, because even in being the King, he now appears a bit measly tbh.

Edge > Taker. Right move. Rated R Superstar is the World Champ once more, and I’m, always for that.

So this is certainly a solid start. Can’t wait for you to expand and become more creative. I know you’ve got that, you’ve just got get to a point where you can start implementing it. Good luck, biznitch.

Default Re: WWE - The Time Has Come

Thanks for the comments and such. I know the first one was a bit confusing and thin, but it will expand as I start to put my own swing on things. This is long, but there's some important stuff in here.

Raw 2nd June – Major Talking Points.
The 2008 King of the Ring – Shelton Benjamin surprisingly opened the show. Shelton said he hadn’t yet decided which Championship he was going after but he told Triple H to watch his back because the Gold Standard could be comin’ for him. SmackDown’s Batista then arrived to a huge ovation and warned Shelton against deciding to go for the WWE Championship at Vengeance since he will also be in the match. ‘Tista said that he and Hunter have a long history between one and other but they respect each other while the same can’t be said for Shelton, whom neither of them respect. Batista said he Shelton chooses to go for the WWE title he’ll be in for the fight of his life because in order to get to Triple H, he’ll have to go through him first. Hunter then made his arrival and told Shelton he wasn’t in his league and he then informed Batista that this time when they clash it won’t be like last time because Hunter will walk out with the gold. Vince then shows up and reminds us since there is no GM at the moment, he is in charge so he books Batista & Triple H v Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke as our Main Event.

Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels crossed paths again – this week with Jericho blaming Michaels that he wouldn’t be getting a shot at the WWE Championship at Vengeance. Michaels says that Jericho already holds the Intercontinental Championship and he should worry about defending that before going for anymore Titles because at Vengeance: Night of Champions, HBK is challenging Jericho to a match for the IC Title. Jericho accepts and JR puts over that this could quite possibly be the biggest IC Title match in history.

Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch when Rhodes pinned Cade.

Mickie James def. Melina

Vince announced that Randy Orton was suspended for 90 Days

Umaga squashed Jim Duggan.

Jeff Hardy def. Mr Kennedy after Hardy hit the Twist of Fate and a Swanton.
In a strong match, Hardy prevailed but it was the aftermath that was the real talking point as Mr Kennedy offered his hand to Hardy and the two shook hands in the middle of the ring.

In the Main Event Triple H & Batista defeated Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke. It was a close call though. Benjamin nailed the Paydirt out of nowhere to Triple H and Hunter looked down and out but Batista broke the count. The match ended when Batista planted Elijah Burke with the Batista Bomb! With Batista and Hunter celebrating to end the show, Shelton Benjamin suddenly nailed each of them with the WWE Championship across the skull. Shelton posed with the title to end the show and yelled “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Me!”

ECW 3rd June
Kofi Kingston def. Matt Striker

CM Punk def. Kenny Dykstra
Punk put Kenny away with the GTS.

Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely def. Colin Delaney
Chavo hit the Gory Bomb and then the Frog Splash for the win.

Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke def. Kane & Tommy Dreamer
Shelton nailed the ECW Champion, Kane with the T Bone Suplex for the win. For the second night in a row, Shelton posed with a Championship Belt to end the show, this time Kane’s ECW Title and he once again proclaimed “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Me!”

SmackDown 6th June
Edge opened the show with his new gold around his waist and La Familia at his side. Edge says he and Vickie Guerrero are the most powerful duo in Sports Entertainment and with La Familia backing him up there’s no way that the title is leaving his waist anytime soon. With that said a lightning bolt hits the ring and La Familia scatter leaving The Rated R Superstar on his own in the middle of the ring. Undertaker’s voice then booms across the PA system “Eeeeeeeeeeeeedge you now possess the one item that I desire… at Vengeance…. Yooooooooooouuuuuuuuu… Meeeeeee… Heeeeelllllllll in a Ceeelllllllll!” Edge immediately shakes his head and once the lights come back on he looks a lot happier and tells Taker that there’s no chance in hell that they’ll ever face off again… surprisingly Vince McMahon’s music hit and Vince informed Edge that he liked the sound of The Undertaker’s proposal but in order for it to happen, Taker must defeat the newly crowned WWE Tag Team Champions in a Handicap Match in tonight’s Main Event.

Matt Hardy & CM Punk def. John Morrison & The Miz
Hardy hit The Miz with the Twist of Fate for the win. After the match Vickie Guerrero came out and announced that the new Number 1 Contender to the US Title was Chavo Guerrero. Guerrero and Bam Neely then jumped Hardy from behind and beat the crap out of him.

The Big Show def. MVP via DQ
Big Show levelled MVP with a Choke Slam but Mark Henry stormed the ring and laid the boot into Show before he could finish off Porter. The two then double teamed the Worlds Largest Athelte to leave him motionless in the ring.

Matt Sydal made his SmackDown debut and defeated Shannon Moore in an entertaining match.

Batista destroyed Chuck Palumbo.
After the match Batista declared his allegiances to SmackDown, he says even if he wins the WWE Title at Vengeance, it’ll be coming back to SmackDown with him.

Edge ran into Shelton Benjamin backstage and Shelton told him to watch his back.

The Undertaker def. Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins after Edge accidentally Speared Hawkins and Ryder got Chokeslammed by Taker for the pinfall.

Raw 9th June
Jeff Hardy defeated JBL via Roll up.
JBL was furious after the match, storming around the ring, pulling his hair out and kicking the ropes.

Mr Kennedy defeated Umaga via DQ.
The Samoan Bulldozer failed to adhere to the referees five count when Kennedy had a hold of the ropes. After the DQ was called, Umaga nailed Kennedy with the Samoan Spike.

D.H. Smith made his first appearance on Raw in a long, loooooooooooong while in something other than a jobbing capacity when he was interviewed by Todd Grisham. He proclaimed that he will now be known as Harry Smith and that tonight is the night that he is going to begin making a name for himself as he embarks on a quest to capture the Tag Titles. Grisham intelligently pointed out that Smith required a Tag Team Partner to do that – with that said another man stepped on to screen and he revealed himself as TJ Wilson and together they will be known as The Canadian Bulldogs and tonight they will put the Tag Team Champions on notice when they defeat The Highlanders.

Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly def. Carlito & Santino Marella in a non-title match after Rhodes pinned Marella.
Rhodes did most of the work by himself as Hardcore was taken out early in the match.

Triple H cut a promo thanking Batista for having his back last week but warned him come Vengeance it won’t matter how many times The Animal sticks up for him because he’s taking the Title home with him. He says at the moment they are friends, but come Vengeance they’ll be enemies.

The Canadian Bulldogs – Harry Smith & TJ Wilson defeated The Highlanders.
Smith pinned Robbie after hitting the Running Powerslam and Wilson nailed a Diving Somersault Leg Drop.

Triple H & Batista def. Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels
Batista planted Michaels with the Batista Bomb but Triple H took a blind tag to get the pinfall. Batista and Hunter go nose to nose and The Animal questions Triple H why he stole the victory before the King of the Ring, Shelton Benjamin strolls out to the top of the stage applauding both Batista and Triple H before mouthing “Tomorrow Night you’ll find out” as Raw goes off the air.

ECW 10th June
Chavo Guerrero opens the show and promises victory at Vengeance against Matt Hardy. He says Matt Hardy doesn’t deserve the right to have the dignity to call himself the United States Champion. He says at Vengeance the United States Championship will be coming to someone that all Americans can be proud of. Armando Estrada comes out and announces Matt Hardy & CM Punk versus Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely tonight.

Kofi Kingston def. The Miz

Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely def. CM Punk & Matt Hardy.
Armando Estrada announced before the match that it is now Extreme Rules. Naturally this bought about interference from Edge, Ryder and Hawkins. Ryder and Hawkins double teamed Punk while Neely, Guerrero and Edge destroyed Hardy allowed Chavo to pin him to end the annihilation as all of La Familia stood tall.

Kane def. Elijah Burke
Shelton Benjamin got involved but it backfired costing Elijah the victory. After the match Shelton dropped Kane with a shot to the back of the head with a microphone and then stood over the fallen Big Red Machine and shouted “I chose you… KANE! At Vengeance the ECW Championship is coming home to the Gold Standard, baby!”

Smackdown 13th June
Batista cut a promo on Triple H saying that in comparison to winning the WWE Title, their friendship means nothing to him. He says at Vengeance, Triple H will be just another victim. Vickie Guerrero comes out and says tonight he shouldn’t be worrying about Triple H and instead worry about another man he has a vast history with because we’re having a Contender v Contender match in tonight’s Main Event meaning Batista is taking on The Undertaker for the 1038th time in the past year.

CM Punk def. MVP via DQ.
MVP choked Punk with his MVP chain when he thought the referee wasn’t watching.

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins def. Jesse & Festus
Ryder pinned Festus after Hawkins took him out with a chair shot. Jesse tried to help Festus but he got cracked with a chair for his troubles as well. To put the icing on the cake, Ryder hit Festus with a con-chairto that would make Edge proud.

Matt Hardy def. Bam Neely
Chavo tried to take out Hardy with the US Title but he missed Matt and took out Neely instead. Matt finished him off with the Twist of Fate as Chavo looked on in shock.

Mark Henry destroyed Colin Delaney.
Henry pinned Delaney with one foot across his chest. After the match Henry launched Delaney from in the ring down to the announce table. Due to Colin’s lack of size he didn’t destroy the table like Henry had hoped so The Worlds Strongest Man made his way down to Colin and put the finishing touches on the demolition with the Worlds Strongest Slam through the Announce Table.

Matt Sydal def. Jamie Noble
After an extremely fast paced match Noble raised Sydal’s arm in victory.

Batista def. The Undertaker
Edge interfered and Speared the Undertaker after La Familia distracted the referee. Batista was down following Old School from Taker and didn’t see Edge take out Taker but with the Deadman down, Batista capitalised hoisting Taker up and drilling him with the Batista Bomb.

Raw 16th June
Chris Jericho opened the show, once again openly blaming Shawn Michaels for costing him another victory. Jericho says that he would’ve been better off doing it by himself against Batista and Triple H. Batista arrives and says he wasn’t the only one that was on the wrong end of things, he says he had Michaels beat and then Triple H stole the pinfall off him. Vince then comes out and says well since there’s been so much confusion over the events of last week, he’s going to do something to avoid it, this week we’re having a reversal tag match. It will be Batista & Chris Jericho taking on Triple H & Shawn Michaels!!!

The Canadian Bulldogs – TJ Wilson & Harry Smith def. Cryme Tyme
The Bulldogs got the clean win over Cryme Tyme but the employed a few dirty tactics during the match, the fans reacted very indifferently to their victory.

Jeff Hardy def. Snitsky
Hardy hit the Swanton for the clean victory after the match JBL came from behind and took him out with a Clothesline from Hell.

Mr Kennedy attacked Umaga backstage following the brutal beat down he endured at the hands of the Samoan Bulldozer last week.

Michelle McCool won a Divas Inter-promotional Battle Royal to win the right to face Mickie James at Vengeance for the Women’s Title.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick def. Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly in a Non Title Match.
London pinned Holly after Hardcore inadvertently took out Rhodes. Cody was clearly pissed off after the match.

In the Main Event Batista & Chris Jericho def. Triple H & Shawn Michaels
Michaels went to hit Jericho with Sweet Chin Music but he missed and hit Triple H instead with the Superkick sending him straight into the grasps of Batista to be planted with the Batista Bomb! The Animal stands tall over Triple H to end the show.

ECW 17th June
Kane called out Shelton Benjamin to come and face him like a man. After a while, Shelton didn’t show and Kane said he was gutless and was only prepared to attack him when his back was turned. The champion says he has bad news for Shelton because at Vengeance he’s going to have his undivided attention and there’ll be no where to run for Benjamin. Shelton’s music then hits but he doesn’t come out… it’s Elijah Burke instead. Just when Elijah goes to speak, Kane gets blasted over the head from behind by Shelton Benjamin who was grasping a steel chair. Shelton & Elijah stomp the shit through Kane until Estrada comes out and books Kane v Shelton & Elijah in a Handicap Match tonight in the Main Event.

CM Punk def. Chuck Palumbo with the GTS.
After the match MVP came out and beat the crap out of Punk again.

Kofi Kingston def. John Morrison
Kofi continued on his roll but some confusion between Morrison and The Miz bought about the former ECW Champion’s demise.

Kane def. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke.
Kane pinned Burke after a mix up between Shelton and Elijah. Shelton went to attack Kane again with another steel chair but Kane booted it in his face to end the evenings proceedings.

SmackDown 20th June
Vickie Guerrero opened the show and said with it being just over a week before Vengeance: Night of Champions she was in the mood to see SmackDown’s Champions in action tonight. She talked about Edge’s match with The Undertaker at Vengeance she then talked about Chavo Guerrero’s match with Edge’s old foe, one of his biggest rivals in his career, the United States Champion. She says tonight she wants to have a blast from the past and give Matt Hardy a taste of things to come for him when he faces Chavo because tonight it’s going to be Champion versus Champion – Edge versus Matt Hardy!!!

Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney def. The Miz & John Morrison to become Number 1 Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championships at Vengeance. Dreamer pinned The Miz after a Dreamer’s DDT.

CM Punk & Finlay def. MVP & Elijah Burke
Punk hit the GTS on Burke for the win, afterwards MVP tried to take out Punk again but he got a GTS for his troubles.

Big Show cut a promo reiterating that he is the most dominant man in the WWE and he challenged Mark Henry to try and prove him wrong.

Batista def. Chuck Palumbo
Batista won clean and after the match he did his typical post-match celebration.

Matt Sydal & Jamie Noble def. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore
In an extremely entertaining Cruiserweight Style Tag Match, Sydal pinned Moore for the victory after plenty of high flying and reversals.

Matt Hardy def. Edge via DQ.
Hardy had huge support from the fans for this one with a constant chant of “HARDY” almost throughout the entire match. It appeared he had Edge beat as he had leveled him with the Twist of Fate but just when he was about to make the cover, La Familia stormed the ring and beat the shit out of Hardy. The Undertaker’s GONG sounded out and around the arena to end the show but no sign of the man himself as La Familia were scared shitless.

Raw 23rd June
Vince opens the show and announced that next week we will have a Draft! On Raw, SmackDown and ECW draft picks for each brand will be revealed. He says the only superstars that aren’t able to be drafted are those that are injured or suspended. He then says in preparation for the massive Vengeance PPV this Sunday, we will have a HUGE 8 Man Tag Match Main Event tonight with the Champions, Triple H, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly taking on Batista & Shawn Michaels while since number 1 contenders to the World Tag Titles will be named tonight, Batista & Michaels need to find themselves two more partners.

JBL cut a promo on Jeff Hardy – he says Hardy’s win was a fluke and for that he must pay. JBL says Hardy humiliated him and now he must face the consequences.

The Canadian Bulldogs - TJ Wilson & Harry Smith def. The Highlanders, Cryme Tyme & The Redneck Wrecking Crew in a Four Corners Number 1 Contenders Match to the Tag Team Titles.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick def. Santino Marella & Carlito.
Carlito & Marella had a sook to Vince about not being booked in the Number 1 Contenders Tag Match so Vince booked them in a match against London and Kendrick with the stipulation of if they lost they wouldn’t get another chance at a title shot as long as Holly and Rhodes are Champions.

Umaga squashed Charlie Haas.

Triple H cut a promo about how he respects Batista but come Sunday that respect will mean nothing, he warns Batista that he was lucky last time around they battled for his title but this time Hunter guarantees he will walk out with the Title because he is “that damn good”

In the Main Event, Batista, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy & Mr. Kennedy defeated Triple H, Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly.
Batista pinned Hardcore Holly with a Batista Bomb after taking out Triple H with a Spinebuster. The team of Batista, Michaels, Hardy and Kennedy were bought down to 3 early in the match when JBL appeared at ringside and he and Jeff Hardy fought into the crowd. Cody Rhodes was clearly pissed off after the loss.

ECW 24th June
Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney def. Deuce & Domino

CM Punk def. Stevie Richards
After the match MVP appeared calling CM Punk a joke. He says that it’s outrageous a Superstar with as little talent as Punk has… or lacks as the case may be, can be the Money in the Bank holder. MVP says that as the highest paid athlete in SmackDown history he IS Money so that briefcase needs to come to someone that will give it the honor, prestige and dignity that it deserves.

Kane & Kofi Kingston def. Shelton Benjamin & Elijah Burke via DQ.
Shelton nailed Kane with a Steel Chair before hitting Paydirt on the same chair to end the show.

SmackDown 27th June
Vickie Guerrero opens the show to announce that Matt Hardy and The Undertaker would be teaming together tonight to take on ALL of La Familia – Bam Neely, Chavo Guerrero, The WWE Tag Team Champions, Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins and The World Heavyweight Champion… EDGE!

Batista def. Mark Henry
‘Tista put Henry away with a Spinebuster and a Spear after Big Show came down to the ring to distract The Worlds Strongest Man.

Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney def. Deuce & Domino in an ECW rematch.
Ryder and Hawkins were at ringside on commentary for the match but didn’t involve themselves.

Matt Sydal def. MVP
CM Punk cost Porter the victory after coming down to ringside flaunting the Money in the Bank briefcase.

The Undertaker & Matt Hardy def. La Familia after Hardy pinned Bam Neely.
Edge, Ryder & Hawkins were all so insistent on beating the crap out of The Undertaker, they forgot about Matt Hardy. Hardy managed to propel Guerrero out of the ring before putting Neely away with the Twist of Fate. Once Edge and company realized what had happened, a beat down of Hardy ensured as well. La Familia stood tall over Taker and Hardy to end the show despite being beaten in the match.

Vengeance: Night of Champions Results
29th June

Matt Hardy def. Chavo Guerrero to retain the United States Championship @ 14:10
Hardy fended off Bam Neely early on before putting Chavo away with a Twist of Fate following a strong opening.

Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins def. Tommy Dreamer & Colin Delaney to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships @ 7:43
Hawkins and Ryder demonstrated superb team work and managed to isolate Colin Delaney long enough to substantially weaken him before ultimately putting him away.

Mickie James def. Michelle McCool @5:30
Mickie wins. She’s hot. The end.

The Canadian Bulldogs – TJ Wilson & Harry Smith def. Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly to WIN the World Tag Team Championships @ 11:42
Rhodes and Holly dominated early on, with Cody in particular looking very strong as he even managed to hit the Flowing DDT on TJ Wilson only for Harry Smith to break it up. He then tagged in Hardcore Holly and it all went downhill from there for the Champions as Harry Smith put Holly away cleanly with the Running Powerslam for the Victory. After the match when the Referee went to hand Wilson and Smith the belts, Cody snatched one of them off him took one sad glance at it before blasting Bob Holly (who was just getting back to his feet) with it!! The fans look shocked as it seems a couple of weeks of frustration that’s build up in Rhodes has finally exploded. Rhodes kisses the belt down and lays it down on the mat before picking Holly up and nailing the Flowing DDT on top of the gold to leave Hardcore a Bloody mess as he exits the ring.

Chris Jericho def. Shawn Michaels to retain the Intercontinental Championship @ 19:20
In the match billed as the biggest Intercontinental Championship match in recent history, this one didn’t disappoint as Michaels and Jericho pulled out all the straps. Jericho seemed intent on inflicting as much pain as possible on Michaels right knee, continuously kicking and stomping at it on any given opportunity. The end came after a swing in momentum from Jericho to Michaels, HBK went for Sweet Chin Music but it was ducked by Jericho who then promptly delivered a Code Breaker before locking on the Walls of Jericho forcing Shawn Michaels to submit. After the match, Shawn struggled to his feet and offered his hand to Jericho but when Y2J headed towards HBK seemingly willing to accept the gesture… MICHAELS BLASTED HIM WITH SWEET CHIN MUSIC!!!

Shelton Benjamin def. Kane to WIN the ECW Championship @ 15:32
Kane had total control until he inadvertently took out the Referee when hitting a Side Walk Slam on Shelton. Kane didn’t seem to let it phase him as he launched Benjamin into the Turnbuckle, but Elijah Burke shot into the ring and plowed Kane down with the Elijah Express! Shelton then composed himself before dragging Kane to his feet and nailing the T Bone Suplex!! Shelton and Elijah wake the referee up, allowing Kane to recover but just as soon as the ECW Champion gets to his feet, Benjamin meets him offguard with the Paydirt to pick up the victory!! Shelton and Elijah had a big celebration after the match that drew a shitload of heat.

Triple H def. Batista to Retain the WWE Championship @17:35
In a much stronger match then the ones these two put on the last time they faced off, Batista once again dominated Triple H just like he has over the past few weeks but with crowd support 50/50 Triple H soldiered on until Batista ultimately nailed a Spinebuster and then the Batista Bomb! The crowd went very split on ‘Tista as he went for the cover and the victory but at 2 and a half Triple H got his feet on the ropes drawing a big pop from the crowd. Batista stood up in shock and turned his back on Triple H… thus allowing The Game to get himself on the blind side of the referee and nail a LOW BLOW!!!! Batista grabbed his balls in obvious pain before Triple H rolled him up in a Small Package for the win.

Edge def. The Undertaker to Retain The World Heavyweight Championship in Hell in a Cell @ 25:40
In a truly epic encounter that blew all their previous ones out of the water, Edge & ‘Taker pulled out all the straps. Edge was given the Last Ride into the side of the Cell while Taker was Speared by Edge off the ring apron into the side of the cell. Edge cleaned up Taker with the Steel Ring steps but the Deadman made the Champion pay, hitting the Tombstone on top of the afore mentioned steps. Just when The Undertaker was ready to pick up the win, the WWE Tag Team Champions, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins raced down to the ring and broke their way into the cage and pulled Taker off Edge before nailing the Double Edgecution! The crowd naturally shit on what they saw as Edge recomposed himself and got to his feet before measuring up The Undertaker and plowing through him with a savage Spear to end a blockbuster match.

After the match, the cell begins to raise and Vickie Guerrero comes out to the ring with the WWE Tag Team Championship belts and she retrieves the World Heavyweight Championship off the referee before personally delivering the three belts to their rightful owners as the three of them celebrate with their gold to immense heat before we see one last shot of the downed Undertaker to end the show.

That's that. Long, I know. I'll be dishing out some feedback over the next few days before posting the next lot of shows which will include the long awaited DRAFT! BTW, I had the stuff with Cody Rhodes written before Vengeance happened IRL
