Re: PatMan Presents: WWE 2006 Revisited
This is looking good, i really would of wished that Batista won at Mania cos ending Mania with a heel winning is a terrible idea. Edge should of dropped it at Mania to Kurt and then feuded with him though.. The BTB Looks fine.

Re: PatMan Presents: WWE 2006 Revisited
WWE Monday Night Raw Preview April 3rd, 2006

Just 24 hours after the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 22, the WWE stays in the Windy City as Chicago is the host for Monday Night Raw!
One man who proved almost all the critics wrong last night is the WWE Champion, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge. Edge walked into WrestleMania 22 with the WWE Championship and survived the challenge of three men, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Rob Van Dam. By pinning Rob Van Dam, Edge was able to hold onto his coveted championship belt. With Edge still at the top of Raw, who will step up to be the next challenger for the company’s top prize?
Another man who had a big night at WrestleMania 22, is ‘The Doctor’ John Cena. Cena went one-on-one with the ultimate WrestleMania performer, ‘The Heart Break Kid’ Shawn Michaels. After over twenty-five minutes of evenly matched wrestling, Cena was able to force Michaels to submit, courtesy of the STFU. With another notch in Cena’s belt after his huge WrestleMania win, where will both men go after their instant classic?
Two matches have been signed for Raw, as Kenny of the Spirit Squad is set to take on Raw’s ‘special supestar’ Eugene. How will Kenny fare against this very unique challenge? Also, Chavo Guerrero tries to get back on the winning track but he will face quite the challenge, as he takes on Gene Snitsky. Will Chavo be able to top the bigger man or will Snitsky add another name to his list of victims?
Last night, we witnessed a historic moment, as ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair was able to outlast five other superstars, winning the second annual Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Flair now holds something many wrestlers only dream of, a guaranteed World Championship match at anytime he chooses, within the next calendar year. With Flair now on top of the world, what will ‘The Nature Boy’ have to say Monday night after his historic victory?
Finally, the World Tag Team Champions, The Big Show and Kane, were able to retain their titles against The World’s Greatest Tag Team, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas. The new Women’s Champion, Mickie James, will also be in attendance as she is set for the first day of her reign after beating her ‘idol’ Trish Stratus. In addition, Gregory Helms didn’t win the Money in the Bank match but he is still the Intercontinental Champion. Will a new challenger arise this Monday?
All this and more at 9/8CT on USA.

Re: PatMan Presents: WWE 2006 Revisited
I looked over the first post a few days ago and everything looks to seem pretty good so far. I haven't read one of your shows in a while if I did check out one in your last thread which I think I did. But I'm very looking forward to seeing the aftermath of WrestleMania. I'll try and swing by to give some comments, etc. once Raw goes up this week when I get a chance.

Re: PatMan Presents: WWE 2006 Revisited
Looks to be a monstrous Raw coming off WrestleMania, Pat, especially with the WWE title situation. Edge is a officially a beast after retaining like that. Time for a one-on-one challenger me thinks. Certainly plenty to choosefrom. As for the rest, I'm looking forward to Mr. Money in the Bank 'Naitch cutting a promo and probably being confronted .. by Carlito, Helms or Chavo? Either would be a good feud for Slick Rick.
Keep the good stuff coming

Re: PatMan Presents: WWE 2006 Revisited
I usually won't post this late but I wanted the show up today and posting while Raw is still on TV is pointless. With that said, here is my first show in this thread. I think it came off pretty well so enjoy plz.
***

Monday Night Raw; April 3rd, 2006; Chicago, Illinois:
A WrestleMania 22 recap video opens the show, running through the card from start to finish. We see highlights of all the matches on the Raw side, complete with Ric Flair becoming the second ever Mr. Money in the Bank, John Cena forcing Shawn Michaels to tap out to the STFU, and finally we see Edge retain the WWE Championship, pinning Rob Van Dam for the decisive fall.
Opening Video
Pyro
For the second time in two days, we cut into the Allstate Arena in Chicago, with the fans going crazy for the show to start. We cut around the arena, seeing various signs after last night’s pay-per-view, with fans expressing their feelings about Edge still being the WWE Champion. We cut to ringside, where as always, Jim Ross and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler are set to call the action.
Jim Ross: We are just twenty-four hours removed from quite possibly the biggest show of all time, WrestleMania 22! Welcome everyone to the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois; I am Jim Ross, joined as always by my broadcast partner Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler.
Jerry Lawler: WrestleMania 22 was one of the biggest nights in the history of our company and I am still just as shocked as anyone about what happened in the WWE Championship match.
Jim Ross: Well the WWE Championship match was one for the ages as we saw four of the best in the company battle it out for the ultimate prize. Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Triple H all gave their all to become the WWE Champion but it was the man who walked into the match with the belt, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge, who walked out as the WWE Champion.
Jerry Lawler: Edge’s victory was a huge moment in his career but I also can’t believe the match we saw last night between John Cena and Shawn Michaels. Michaels is ‘Mr. WrestleMania’ but John Cena proved why he is a bonafide star, forcing Shawn Michaels to tap out to the STFU. What a huge notch in Cena’s belt!
Jim Ross: Edge’s victory and Cena’s victory weren’t the only big ones last night, as we saw the sixteen time World Heavyweight Champion, ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, become Mr. Money in the Bank. Flair was able to outlast five other guys from Raw and Smackdown, climb the ladder, and grab the briefcase. Now Flair has a guaranteed World Championship match anytime he wants, within the next year.
Jerry Lawler: And if I were a betting man JR, I would say that World Heavyweight Championship number seventeen isn’t very far off for ‘The Nature Boy.’
Jim Ross: You’re right about that King; Ric Flair never ceases to amaze me.
***Metalingus*** The crowd erupts into a somewhat surprising mixed reaction, as some people are glad that Edge retained the WWE Championship last night. After a few moments, ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge walks out onto the stage, all smiles, with Lita by his side, the WWE Championship (finally back to the old belt) over his left shoulder. Edge has got on his new ‘Rated R’ t-shirt and some blue jeans, not ready to wrestle after last night’s huge match.
Jim Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, there he is … the man who despite the odds is STILL the WWE Champion. I have never been Edge’s biggest fan but I gotta respect him, he was the best wrestler in the WWE Championship match last week.
Jerry Lawler: Edge sure was impressive last night but the one who I am focusing on is Lita! Doesn’t she look great JR?
Jim Ross: I think you had a little too much fun last night King, you need to settle down.
Edge and Lita reach the bottom of the ramp, looking around the arena before Edge slides into the ring and smiles before Lita joins him. Lita heads over and grabs a mic from Lillian. Edge takes the mic and waits for the crowd to die down before speaking.
Edge: Y’know, I am actually surprised that I am saying this … but it is great to be in Chicago!
Awkward pop from the crowd, with the fans not sure of how to take Edge’s comment.
Edge: Because even though this place is a little too rude for me, (boos from the fans) Chicago will always be one of my favorite places … because of what right here in this ring, twenty-four hours ago. Walking into WrestleMania 22, I had maybe a handful of people who thought that I could do the impossible. Last night was supposed to be the end of the Rated R era. Going into a match where I didn’t even need to be pinned to lose this, (pats WWE Championship) I overcame the odds and I am still the WWE Champion.
Another mixed reaction from the crowd, very similar to when Edge’s music hit.
Edge: Three men thought that they could make history. Three men thought that they could take MY WWE Championship. Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Rob Van Dam all thought that they were going to make their own WrestleMania moment. But they were wrong. Because even though I have NEVER lost at WrestleMania, I now have MY WrestleMania moment and you all are going to have to live with it!
Heat from the crowd, with Lita looking around the arena, not understanding why Edge is being booed.
Edge: You all never gave me a chance! NOBODY ever gives Edge a chance! (Calms down) I have been here on Raw for two years and I have not received half the hype of some of the other guys backstage. Guys like Shawn Michaels…
MASSIVE pop from the fans, as Edge doesn’t look happy.
Edge: Triple H…
A thunderous mixed reaction from the crowd, with the fans split with their feeling towards The Game.
Edge: Rob Van Dam, Kurt Angle, John Cena, the list goes on and on. The point is that I have never been handed anything on Raw … I have EARNED everything that I have won. I won the Money in the Bank match last year and I waited for my chance. I didn’t do the stupid thing and tell Cena when I was gonna cash in, I waited until I knew that I would win and I outsmarted everyone, becoming YOUR WWE Champion.
Heat, as Edge and Lita don’t seem to care what the fans think.
Edge: And the reason that I became the champion three months ago was so that I could prove everyone wrong. I knew that people would think I was only a transitional champion. I knew that no one expected me to make it past the Royal Rumble and the almighty John Cena. But I beat Cena at the Rumble and you idiots all hated me for it.
More heat, with Edge now taking full shots at the fans in Chicago.
Edge: So I walked into WrestleMania 22 against three of the best guys that I was forced to face. Angle could have made Triple H tap out, RVD could have pinned Angle, Triple H could have Pedigreed RVD and I would not have this title. But I did what I do best, and I delivered on the grandest stage of them all, proving that I am the best this business has to offer.
More heat from the fans, as Edge and Lita share a smile.
Edge: So guess what? We are not under the reign of terror of Triple H. We aren’t forced to listen to Angle talk about being WWE Champion even though he had a broken neck at the Olympics a decade ago. We aren’t forced to listen to some hippie talk about finally being on top…
MASSIVE heat from the fans, with Edge blatantly taking a shot at RVD’s lifestyle.
Edge: (Smiles) We don’t have to put up with any of that garbage. We are living in an era where there are no rules. I do whatever I want because I am the best on Raw, bar none. We are living in an era where I am going to be on top for a long, long time. I am the new face of Raw! We are living … in the Rated R Era!
Another batch of heat from the crowd, as Edge is really building himself up as the best.
Edge: And if you don’t like it, I dare you to try and take this belt from me. Because you will be like everyone else, and you will not stand a cha-
***King of Kings*** The crowd erupts into a massive pop, glad that somebody besides Edge is going to be talking. The reaction changes to a mixed reaction, as ‘The Game’ Triple H makes his way onto the stage, wearing jeans and one of his numerous trademark t-shirts. Triple H makes his way to the ring, going through the motions before getting a mic from Lillian.
Triple H: I just had to come out here because I ran out of garbage cans backstage to puke in after hearing you talk.
Pop from the crowd as Edge takes offense to what Triple H said.
Triple H: I mean seriously, ‘The Rated R Era’? Did I hear you right? What makes you think that this is your era? I mean you have been the WWE Champion what, (counts on his fingers) not even three months? You have live sex in the ring with your little slut there (pop from the fans) and you think that we are living in your era? You must be even stupider than you look.
Another pop from the fans, as Edge and Lita both look upset with the shots Triple H is taking.
Triple H: You want to talk about an era? You can talk about an era when you have won (puts up ten fingers) TEN World Championships to your name.
Another pop from the fans, as Edge looks like he has heard enough.
Edge: You shut your mouth before I knock the hell out of you!
Heat from the crowd, with Triple H looking unimpressed.
Edge: You come out here every week, talking about your ten World Titles, saying that you will be champion. When’s the last time you delivered Hunter? I haven’t seen you hold the World Title since last year’s WrestleMania. When you lost to a meathead that you had next to you for over two years. So you better watch your mouth when talking to the WWE Champion.
Small bit of heat from the crowd, with Edge’s eyes still locked on Triple H.
Triple H: Y’know what Edge … you’re right … I haven’t held the World Title since last WrestleMania. But let me remind you of something … you have NEVER beaten me for the WWE Championship.
Edge: I didn’t need to beat you last night! I beat Van Dam and I got the job done!
Heat from the crowd, with Edge about to boil over.
Edge: You’re gonna come out here and say that you deserve a shot because you didn’t get pinned last night, right? Well guess what … I don’t give a damn if I didn’t pin you. I was put into a near impossible situation … and I did what needed to be done. You don’t deserve a damn thing.
More heat, with Triple H taking a moment to let Edge’s words sink in.
Triple H: Lemme just say … even if I don’t get the next shot at the WWE Championship, I will earn my chance. So you can either give me my shot … right here … TONIGHT…
BIG pop from the fans, really wanting to see that match take place tonight.
Triple H: Or you can hold the belt a little longer, live in your little ‘Rated R Era’ and you can lose to me in the next few months. The choice is yours … champ.
Edge continues to stare at Triple H, not wanting to respond to Triple H’s statement. Hunter waits for an answer but Edge doesn’t give one. The crowd is waiting in anticipation but they get something nobody wants, as ***Hard Hittin’*** plays and the crowd pours on the heat. The General Manager of Raw, Jonathan Coachman makes his way onto the stage. Coach stays at the top of the ramp, mic in hand.
Jonathan Coachman: Triple H, you don’t deserve a one-on-one match anymore than anyone else backstage so shut your mouth!
Heat from the crowd, with Triple H kinda smirking after the weak aggression by Coach.
Jonathan Coachman: (Smiling) Edge may not have pinned you last night but he still won the match, something you didn’t do, and something you have done with a championship on the line since last year.
More heat for the GM, with Triple H glaring at Coach.
Jonathan Coachman: Now don’t get me wrong Triple H; you will still have a chance to earn a WWE Championship match. You will have your chance tonight because we are going to have a huge tag team match. We will have Edge teaming with Kurt Angle…
Heat, with Edge actually looking a little shocked that he is going to have to wrestle tonight.
Jonathan Coachman: That’s right, they will team up to take on Triple H and the man who got pinned last night … Rob Van Dam!
Pop from the crowd, but Triple H doesn’t look too happy to be teaming with RVD.
Jonathan Coachman: And now boys, we have a show to put on. So if you’re done arguing, please leave my ring. Thank you.
***Hard Hittin’*** More heat from the fans as Coach walks back behind the curtain. Edge and Triple H stay in the ring for a little while longer, staring each other down after their altercation, ready for the tag team match later on.
Jim Ross: What a huge main event for tonight! Kurt Angle will team with the WWE Champion Edge to take on Triple H and Rob Van Dam. Don’t go anywhere, we still have so much more tonight, on Monday Night Raw!
{Commercial Break}
We come back to the arena, with Matt Striker already in the ring, ready for the first match of the night.
“WOOOOOOOO!!!”
***Also Sprach Zarathustra*** The crowd gives a huge pop as the MONEY IN THE BANK holder makes his way onto the stage. The Nature Boy is clad in his usual over the top robe, with the MITB briefcase by his side, now displaying “WOOOOOO” on the side of it. Flair slowly makes his way down the ramp, stepping through the middle rope and slowly spins in the ring, ready for this match.
Jim Ross: Ric Flair has won more World Championships than anyone else in history. He now has the chance to win a record seventeenth, now that he is holding the Money in the Bank briefcase, surviving that brutal match last night.
Jerry Lawler: Money in the Bank gives you the chance to have a World Title shot anytime you want, within the next 365 days. We could see Ric win the belt here tonight!
Jim Ross: I’d have no problem with that, King.
Match #1:
MITB Holder Ric Flair vs. Matt Striker
Even after going through a very brutal match last night, Naitch is able to dominate the inexperienced loudmouth, Matt Striker. Apart from a few weak punches and even a quick suplex, Striker is able to mount very little offense throughout the match. Flair doesn’t do anything very impressive; using his trademark chops and chop blocks to dominate the match. In the end, Flair is able knock Striker down with a chop, following that up with some theatrics for the fans, and then he locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock! Flair applies the pressure and Striker is only able to fight the submission for a few seconds, quickly tapping out.
Winner: Ric Flair via Submission @ 5:02.
The crowd gives a very nice pop, even though they didn’t expect Striker to really pose a threat to Flair. Ric gets back to his feet and allows the referee to raise his hand, smiling after his win. After a few moments of standing in the middle of the ring, Naitch heads over to the ropes and is handed the MITB briefcase, but he also requests a mic. Flair gets what he wants and is set to address the crowd.
Ric Flair: Chicago, Illinois … WOOO!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Ric Flair: Last night … I did something that no one thought I could. I outlasted five of the best superstars in this business … in a ladder match nonetheless … and I became Mr. Money in the Bank!
Big pop from the crowd, as Flair holds the briefcase up.
Ric Flair: And this briefcase guarantees me a chance at the one thing that I have won sixteen times! This gives me a World Title match whenever I want and I don’t plan on blowing that chance. So get ready … number seventeen is not too far off … WOOO!
Another ‘WOOO!’ from the fans, as Flair’s music hits and the fans give another pop. Flair drops the mic down and steps through the ropes again, walking up the ramp, high-fiving some fans along the way. Flair stands at the top of the ramp and holds the MITB briefcase up in the air again, getting a final pop before he walks behind the curtain.
We cut backstage, where Todd Grisham is standing by, ready for an interview.
Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time … ‘The Wrestling Machine’ … Kurt Angle.
Angle walks into the shot, wearing his wrestling attire, as the crowd pours on the heat for the Olympian.
Todd Grisham: Kurt, last night obviously did not go the way that you expected it to. Edge was able to overcome Rob Van Dam, Triple H, and yourself to retain the WWE Championship. Where do you go from here Kurt?
Todd finishes his question, as Angle just stares at him before taking the mic.
Kurt Angle: Y’know what Todd? First off, you need to get your facts straight. Last night Edge did not overcome ME … he overcame Rob Van Dam. Edge only pinned Rob Van Dam and there was nothing I could do about it. Edge did not beat me!
Heat from the crowd as Angle brings the mic back up.
Kurt Angle: Second, you should know exactly what I am going to do. Last night’s match proved nothing. Edge beat Van Dam and that is not the same as beating the great wrestler on the planet. If Coachman knows what’s good for his show, he will make the right choice. I never lost to Edge with the WWE Championship on the line, these idiots saw the match last night.
More heat from the fans, mad at the shot that Angle just took at them.
Kurt Angle: Edge never pinned me … he knows that. So even though I need to team with him tonight … I am NOT going to let him dominate the match. Coachman knows that I deserve a title shot … I know that he will make the right decision. So tonight, Triple H and RVD better be ready because Kurt Angle is going to break them in half!
More boos from the crowd as Angle is getting pretty intense.
Kurt Angle: Oh it’s true…
Angle gets his face right up to the camera.
Kurt Angle: It’s DAMN TRUE!!
Angle backs away from the camera before pushing the microphone into the chest of Todd, causing the intverviewer to stumble back, as Angle walks out of the picture.
Elsewhere backstage…
We see all five members of the Spirit Squad walking down the hallway, with Johnny talking to the rest of the group.
Johnny: I know that we are going to be the next tag team champions … did you guys see that match last night? It was pathetic.
The four other Spirit Squad members, not Kenny, all laugh as Johnny turns to Kenny.
Johnny: You ready tonight Kenny? You know that if you need anything … we’re right here for you.
Kenny turns back and looks at Johnny.
Kenny: I appreciate the concern boys … but I think that I can handle this on my own.
The rest of the Spirit Squad practically have their jaws hit the floor, not being able to believe that their leader is telling them to stay behind. Kenny sees that this was not received well but he doesn’t say another word, continuing down the hall on his own.
Jim Ross: Well it looks like one Spirit Squad member has decided that he can wrestle a singles match on his own!
Jerry Lawler: That is actually quite shocking JR. I don’t think that I have ever seen just one Spirit Squad member come to the ring without the other four following closely behind.
Jim Ross: We will see how Kenny can do on his own, as he is action … right after this commercial break!
{Commercial Break}
We come back to the ring with Kenny already stood in the ring, patiently awaiting his opponent.
***Child’s Play*** Eugene makes his usual clumsy way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans as they give him a pretty good response. Eugene slowly rolls into the ring, running around a little bit while Kenny doesn’t look to be in the mood to play.
Jerry Lawler: The way that Kenny was talking, I thought that he was going to try his luck against a real opponent!
Jim Ross: You better watch your words King. Eugene may not be the most serious guy on the roster, but he has the potential to beat anyone. He may just surprise a few people tonight.
Match #2:
Eugene vs. Kenny
JR’s words ring true … for about the first minute. Eugene is actually able to frustrate Kenny in the early going, constantly goofing around and dodging some of the right hands. Eugene gets a few rights of his own and even knocks Kenny down with a clothesline. But the advantage doesn’t last very long, as Kenny shows his atheliticism as he moves out of the way of a dropkick and then dominates the middle portion of the match. Kenny messes with Eugene a little bit, allowing the ‘special’ superstar to think that he can actually win, before knocking him down with kicks to the gut and a few right hands. Eugene gets a little angry and surprises Kenny once more, hitting him with a spinebuster, 1…2…Kenny gets the shoulder up!! Eugene gets a little overanxious as he heads to the top, but Kenny gets back to his feet and leaps onto the middle turnbuckle, hitting an arm drag off the top!! Kenny heads back to the top … gaining his balance before jumping off the top … GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!! Kenny bounces around on the mat a little, selling the move, before eventually hooking the leg, 1…2…3!!!
Winner: Kenny via Pinfall at 6:30.
The crowd boos the twenty year old as he rises from the mat and tells the referee to raise his hand, soaking up the victory he earned on his own. Kenny heads to the top rope and raises his hand again, getting some more heat from the fans.
Jim Ross: Eugene was able to put up a pretty good fight but I gotta give it up for this youngster Kenny … he won the match on his own.
Jerry Lawler: Are you serious JR? Were we even watching the same match? Kenny was able to dominate that idiot Eugene, and he was got quite the future on this show.
We cut backstage, where we see Edge sitting on the couch in the locker room, talking with Lita.
Lita: This so unfair baby, how can Coachman put you in a match just one day after you went through hell to keep that belt around your waist? I know that these fans want to see the best man on Raw wrestle, put you need a break.
Heat from the crowd, as Lita looks upset.
Edge: Don’t worry about it babe. Coach knows what these idiots want.
More heat, with Edge smirking.
Edge: Last night was the match of the year … and I was the victor. These people want to see the four of us put on another great match. But I don’t plan on giving them what they want.
Another chorus of boos, as Edge turns Lita’s face toward his.
Edge: Because tonight, we are gonna see Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Triple H beat the hell out of each other. Those three only want one thing … a shot at this (looks at the WWE Championship). So I plan on letting them fight each other, not matter how much they want me in the ring. We’ll see who the next number one contender is.
Edge laughs as Lita’s face now has a smile on it.
Lita: You are so smart baby.
Edge smiles back at his girlfriend, before the two share a pretty intense kiss, with the fans obviously not liking it, booing the crap out of them. We now cut back to ringside…
