This is alright I guess, but I hope you add your own flavour to the show. Shawn Michaels against CM Punk is a fantastic match, I think it’s almost PPV worthy to be honest, and it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to wrestle tonight after the whole knee thing.
I really hope you keep the belts on Rhodes and Holly, otherwise it will just look like an easy get out attempt. I do like Marella and Carlito, but I love Rhodes and Holly. Yes I never thought I’d hear myself say that either. However, it should be an exciting match.
You said Kennedy returns, yet he was in the Money In The Bank ladder match last night. I know you tried to make it sound like he was returning when you said he hasn’t been seen since the Money in The Bank match, however, that was only last night, so I’m guesing no one has been seen since. However, point over, it should be interesting to see what Kennedy does tonight.
You also made it sound as if someone will be coming out to interupt Regal. I hope it’s not Kennedy because that happened in real life. I really can’t wait to see who it is, if anyone. Overall it was a solid preview, and Raw is looking to be an exciting show. I can’t wait.

I'm not offending you in any way, but - What exactly do you mean? I'm starting the night after Backlash, not the night after Wrestlemania XXIV. So, Kennedy has been inactive for a month. Just clearing that up for you, KF4E.

Earlier this afternoon, Mr. McMahon sold his company, World Wrestling entertainment to his son Shane McMahon. Shane took over as Chairman, and is onto hiring more talent and a CEO. Shane is said to be pleased with the way things have turned out for him, however he is worried for his parents divorce. Lordsofpain will keep you updated on this situation at all times.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW
MONDAY 28TH APRIL, 2008
AUBURN HILLS, MICHIGAN
Monday Night Raw kicks off with a lengthy recap of last night's Pay-Per-View, WWE Backlash, covering every match held at the event. The theme song for the Backlash, "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock, is blaring in the background.
"To Be Loved"
The Raw Opening video package begins, afterwards the camera pans the packed-out Palace Of Auburn Hills, as the pyrotechnics explode from the Raw HD Set.
"Time To Play The Game"
The audience are on their feet and going wild as the new WWE Champion Triple H appears on the stage of the HD Set, taking in the spectacular ovation. Triple H enters the ring, standing on the second turnbuckle and throwing his arms back raising his WWE Championship high.
Triple H: Can you believe it? Triple H, a 12-time WWE Champion.
Huge pop while Triple H slowly shakes his head in disbelief, still with a huge smirk on his face.
Triple H: I still can't believe it myself, but it's reality, just like the fact that three other WWE Superstars had their asses handed to them, one by one, by the King Of Kings. I know what comes with being WWE Champion, believe me. You have to deal with each and every one of the guys in the back, looking up to you with a look of sheer jealousy on all of their faces, but I get that treatment all the time anyway.
Faint laughter from the audience.
Triple H: But now that I'm WWE Champion, I just want to take this oppurunity to lay down the law to everybody in the back, that I am not afraid of any of you. I've been in this business for a while now, and believe me, I know what I am capable of. I know that I am capable of beating anybody, any time, any place. I would even defend my WWE Championship here on Raw tonight, in this very ring.
Big pop from the audience, evidently delighted at the possible prospect of The Game competing tonight.
Triple H: I am not at all intimidated by anyone in the back, I am not at all afraid of anybody in the back. I have beaten endless amounts of Superstars who wanted my WWE Championship over the years, and they have all failed. Between me and everybody watching around the world, be prepeared to see the same old scenario once again. Whoever is the next guy who steps up and challenges me, they can play all the mind games they want with me. But the fact remains, I would love nothing more than stepping into this ring and proving to them that I am The Game! And you can bet your ass that I'm gonna be the-
"Break The Walls Down"
The spotlight is directly focused on the Raw HD Set, where Y2J Chris Jericho is standing, getting a faint pop, and staring a hole through the WWE Champion.
Chris Jericho: Triple H, I respect you and I respect the fact that you have all the faith in the world in your ability. And I agree, you are one of the top competitors in the World Wrestling Entertainment. But, I AM the top competitor in the World Wrestling Entertainment! You say that you would even defend your WWE Championship here on Raw tonight, in that very ring? Hunter, you've got as big an oppurunity you can get of competing tonight, and he's standing here, right before your very eyes.
Big pop for Y2J.
Triple H: Yeah, but all I see that's worthy of going one-on-one with me is that TitanTron up there.
Outbreak of laughter, but Chris Jericho is far from amused.
Chris Jericho: I'm right here, you assclown! Triple H, I guess I'm just going to have to reveal my cards to ya right now. Triple H, I would love nothing more than to be the first challenger for your WWE Championship reign, so I want a WWE Title shot, right here tonight!
Huge pop, the audience are licking their lips at the possibility of Triple H versus Chris Jericho tonight on Monday Night Raw.
Triple H: ......Alright, Jericho, you're on! Y2J Chris Jericho and The Game Triple H, one on one right here tonight for the WWE Championship! But Chris, I want you to bear in mind one thing - Be careful what you wish for.
"Time To Play The Game"
Chris Jericho smirks at Triple H, and motions that he will be the next WWE Champion before exiting the stage, leaving a confident-looking Triple H in the ring.
The camera switches to backstage, where a livid Randy Orton is pacing up and down his locker room, getting tons of heat.
Randy Orton: Who the hell does Chris Jericho think he is, taking my place as next in line for a WWE Championship match?! If anyone deserves that shot, it's me!
Randy Orton's locker room door opens, and John Cena walks in, getting a huge pop, but some boos can be heard.
Randy Orton: What the hell do you want, Cena?! If you want my spot as #1 contender, your luck is up, because that over-rated jerk Chris Jericho took it, so why don't you go running over to him?!
John Cena: Woah, woah, woah, Randy, take it easy. I saw what happened out there and believe it or not, I feel just the way you do right now. I know you're frustrated at losing the WWE Championship last night to Triple H, but there's a time in everybodies life when you've gotta take it like a man, and let it go.
Randy Orton: I'm not going to bother listening to your crap, Cena! I've got no problem at all with you letting this go, but I won't. Regardless of whether I'm the WWE Champion or not, I will forever be the #1 Superstar in World Wrestling Entertainment, and it's going to stay like that! That WWE Championship belongs around the Legend Killer's waist, no matter whether anybody likes it or not, and I'm gonna do anything I can to show absolutely everybody that I am the most dominant WWE Superstar there has ever been.
John Cena: Yeah, good luck with that, "Champ!"
Randy Orton: Are you mocking me, Cena? You're not in my league, so I don't have the slightest idea why you're even talking to me.
John Cena: Maybe I am mocking you. Or maybe I'm telling you right now that I completely disagree with all that bulls**t you just said, and I wanna get my retribution once and for all, for everything you've done to me, and my family over the past year.
Randy Orton: Cena, you wouldn't even contemplate doing anything like that. Because I know that deep inside you, you know that you are nothing but an out-of-his-league coward, and forever will be!
John Cena and Randy Orton have a lengthy staredown, as Raw heads into a commercial break.

MATCH 1
World Tag Team Championships
Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly (c)
vs. Carlito & Santino Marella
ENDING: Hardcore Holly has Carlito in a boston crab submission, but Carlito manages to get to the ropes and Hardcore Holly is forced to let go of Carlito. Hardcore Holly lifts Carlito to his feet, and bodyslams Carlito down to the mat. Hardcore Holly shouts at Carlito, "How do you like me now?!" before stomping relentlessly at Carlito's skull. Hardcore Holly is told to stop by referee Scott Armstrong, and Hardcore Holly abides by the referee Armstrong's orders. Hardcore Holly irish whips Carlito into the corner of the ring, and tags in Cody Rhodes, who immediately rushes into the ring, stomping Carlito down to the canvas. Cody Rhodes gets Carlito back up, and connects with a suplex, and hooks the leg of Carlito,

.....Carlito kicks out!
Cody Rhodes briefly glances at referee Scott Armstrong, before locking Carlito in a headlock. Santino Marella intervenes, and pulls Carlito out of the squared circle, to Cody Rhodes', and the crowd's, dismay. Hardcore Holly jumps off the ring apron, not needing any assistance unlike Carlito, and pursues Santino Marella, who creates havoc by running laps around the ring, with Hardcore Holly on tow. Cody Rhodes is distracted by the chase going on outside the ring, and it proves to be costly, as Cody Rhodes is nailed with a backstabber by Carlito! Carlito makes the cover with Hardcore Holly still distracted by Santino Marella,
1.....
2.....
!We've got new World Tag Team Champions!
"Cool"
Carlito and Santino Marella are handed their newly-won World Tag Team Championships by the referee Scott Armstrong, and celebrate ecstatically before leaving. Shortly after the new Champions leave, Hardcore Holly slides into the ring, and helps Cody Rhodes to his feet. Suddenly, Hardcore Holly turns on Cody Rhodes and lays out his "partner" with an alabama slam! Hardcore Holly looks down at Cody Rhodes, and leaves the ring, getting tons of heat.
The camera switches backstage, where Chris Jericho is in his locker room, preparing for his WWE Championship match with Triple H. Randy Orton immediately walks in, with an emotionless expression on his face.
Randy Orton: Hey, Jericho!
Chris Jericho walks over to Randy Orton, not at all in the mindset for conversation.
Chris Jericho: What do you want, Randy? Upset that you're not the #1 contender?
Randy Orton: I'm not upset, I'm pissed off with you, Chris, for taking my spot as #1 contender! I'm the only guy on Raw right now that deserves to be where you are right now, and that's going into a WWE Championship match, tonight!
Chris Jericho: Randy, I'm not in the mood for talking right now, especially to a total jackass like yourself. I know you think you should be #1 contender but hey, I was the guy who answered Triple H's challenge earlier on. But where were you, Randy? Yeah, you were standing on the sidelines, exactly where you should be!
Randy Orton: Fine then, Y2J, have it your way. But I want you listen closely and remember something. I can beat you one-on-one anytime I god damn please. Hell, I could beat you, no matter how many guys are in the match, whether it's 10, 20, or even 30! And oh yeah, I have a rematch clause for the WWE Championship, and you know what? When I invoke that rematch clause, no matter who's the WWE Champion, whether it's you or Triple H, Jericho, I will be victorious and I will be back where I truly belong - At the pinnacle of sports entertainment, looking down on the inferior WWE Superstars, like you, Chris Jericho.
Randy Orton walks out of Chris Jericho's locker room, as Y2J continues to prepare for his upcoming WWE Championship match as Raw heads into a commercial break.

MATCH 2
John Bradshaw Layfield
vs. Stevie Richards
ENDING: John Bradshaw unleashes a series of chops to Stevie Richards in the corner of the ring, greeted with "Woooo"s from the Auburn Hills crowd. JBL irish whips Stevie Richards against the ropes, and knocks out the former ECW Superstar with a big boot. JBL grabs Stevie Richards by his long, brown hair, and takes down Stevie Richards with a clothesline. JBL makes the cover,

2.....
.....JBL lifts up Stevie Richards' shoulder (?)
JBL smirks at the crowd, then placing his large boot over the throat of Stevie Richards, and applies great pressure, until referee Marty Elias orders JBL to let go. JBL gets Stevie Richards to his feet, and lifts Stevie Richards onto his shoulders. JBL almost missiles Stevie Richards skull-first into the top turnbuckle, and as Stevie Richards groggily approaches JBL, the self-made millionaire nails Stevie Richards with a devastating clothesline from hell, almost decapitating Stevie Richards in the process! JBL hooks the leg of Stevie Richards, sensing victory,

2.....
.....JBL wins the match with complete ease!
JBL's theme music blasts out, as John Bradshaw Layfield celebrates his relatively easy victory over a lacklustre Stevie Richards. John Bradshaw snatches a microphone from Lilian Garcia, and waits for the audience to quieten down a little.
JBL: Last night at Backlash, when I was the first to be eliminated-
Huge pop from the crowd.
JBL: When I was the first to be eliminated, it was nothing but a total fluke and everybody in Auburn Hills, Michigan tonight knows that! What I just did to that nobody Stevie Richards is a reminder of exactly what I am capable of doing to anybody I please. Regardless of what happened last night, I will make my way back to the top of the mountain, and I will prove each and every one of you wrong, mark my words. Nobody can stand in my way of resuming my reign of dominance, not even the great Hunter Hearst Helmsley himself. I don't give a damn how long it takes, or how much it takes, John Bradshaw Layfield is on his way back to the top - Bank on it.
JBL's theme music plays, and the self-made millionaire prepares to leave the ring, gaining a lot of heat from the audience. All of a sudden......
"Turn Up The Trouble"
Mr. Kennedy appears, getting a positive reaction. Mr. Kennedy makes his way down to the ring, and gets right in JBL's face.
JBL: Who in God's name do you think you are, boy, getting in my way?! What kind of idiotic nobody are you?! This is my night of redemption, and you have to ruin it!
Mr. Kennedy looks at the crowd.
Mr. Kennedy: Was it something I said?
Outbreak of laughter, as the camera cuts to the face of JBL, who is evidently absolutely livid.
Mr. Kennedy: But, as always, I have something I need to......get off my chest. Somebody is back in town, and it's Mrrrrrrrrrrrr-
JBL: Shut the hell up, you complete clown! I've had enough of you, and these dimwit-stricken people have had enough of you.
Tons of heat for JBL, as chants of "Kennedy! Kennedy!" begin, to JBL's dismay.
Mr. Kennedy: Really? It doesn't sound like it. But I know they've had enough of you, making their lives a living hell, simply by appearing on their television screens. JBL, your shrivveled up set of raisins shouldn't be here right now, they should be sitting at home, watching Monday Night Raw, and seeing the man who finally brought you to your senses. I have beaten 7 former WWE Champions, and that just doesn't happen everyday, pal. JBL, you're going to be the next on the list of victims at the hands of the biggest up and coming Superstar in the WWE, Mrrrrrrrrr. Kenneddyyy!!!
Huge pop for Mr. Kennedy, but JBL goes to take out Raw's resident loudmouth with a clothesline from hell. However, Mr. Kennedy dodges the bullet and turns the tables on John Bradshaw Layfield, laying out the self-made millionaire with a mic check!
Mr. Kennedy: Kenneddyyy!!!
"Turn Up The Trouble"
Mr. Kennedy exits the ring, getting a good pop, leaving JBL flat on his back in the squared circle.
A video package hits the screen, promoting this Friday's edition of Friday Night SmackDown. ECW Champion Kane will go one-on-one with his brother, the World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker, in a title unification match which will mark the end of the ECW Championship's tenure in World Wrestling Entertainment. Also, new United States Champion Matt Hardy will be Edge's guest on the Cutting Edge, to discuss his victory over M.V.P at Backlash.

MATCH 3
Kofi Kingston
vs. Shelton Benjamin
ENDING: Kofi Kingston climbs to the top turnbuckle, and takes down Shelton Benjamin with a missile dropkick! Kofi Kingston tries to get the audience behind his back, and succeeds at doing so, as chants of "Kofi Kingston!" break out. Kofi Kingston gets Shelton Benjamin in a headlock, but Benjamin manages to find his way to the ringropes, as Kofi Kingston is forced to let go by referee Jack Doan. Kofi Kingston goes for a trip on Air Jamaica, but fails to connect as Shelton Benjamin moves out of the way! Shelton Benjamin looks to take advantage of Kofi Kingston's error immediately and hooks the leg,

2.....
.....Kofi Kingston gets the shoulder up!
Shelton Benjamin shakes his head in disappointment, and lifts Kofi Kingston to his feet. Shelton Benjamin irish whips the first ever Jamaican WWE Superstar into the ropes, but Kofi Kingston bounces back, with a flying forearm which knocks Shelton Benjamin off his feet! Kingston gets Shelton Benjamin to his feet, and attempts a suplex, but Shelton Benjamin counters and unleashes a suplex of his own. Shelton Benjamin drags Kofi Kingston over towards the ropes, and places the top half of Kofi Kingston's body in between the top and middle rope. Shelton Benjamin shouts to the heavens, "Ain't no stoppin' me now!"and charges towards Kofi Kingston, but the Jamaican moves out of the way. However, Shelton Benjamin shows oustanding reflexes, springboarding off the ropes, and clotheslining Kofi Kingston to the canvas! Shelton Benjamin lifts Kofi Kingston to his feet, and looks to finish the match off with the paydirt, but Kofi Kingston pushes the Gold Standard to the canvas. Shelton Benjamin immediately gets back up, but Kofi Kingston nails Shelton Benjamin with a Jamaican buzzsaw! Kofi Kingston hooks the leg of Shelton Benjamin,
1.....
2.....
.....Kofi Kingston wins the match!
"S.O.S"
Kofi Kingston has his hand raised by the referee, but moments afterwards, is laid out with the paydirt by Shelton Benjamin! Heat pours in on Shelton Benjamin, as the Gold Stanard pummels a defenceless Kofi Kingston with right hand clubbing blows, but of all people, Tommy Dreamer rushes down the rampway, kendo stick in hand, and scares off Shelton Benjamin!
"Man In The Box"
Tommy Dreamer gets Kofi Kingston to his feet, and pats the Jamaican on the back, getting a standing ovation.
The camera switches backstage, where William Regal is walking down a corridor, wearing a black suit. William Regal is on his way to the ring for his official coronation ceremony, which is up next on Raw.
The camera crosses over to the parking lot, where a white limosuine pulls up. A chaffeur exits the limosuine and opens the door, and none other than Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon steps out, surprisingly getting a positive reaction from the audience. Mr. McMahon breaths in the fresh air and smiles as the WWE Chairman walks through a set of double-doors.
The camera cuts backstage, where Todd Grisham is standing by.
Todd Grisham: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time......The Heart Break Kid, Shawn Michaels!
Shawn Michaels walks into the picture, getting an absolutely incredible ovation.
Todd Grisham: Shawn Michaels, last night at Backlash, you defeated the Animal, Batista.
Mixed reaction at mention of Batista.
Todd Grisham: It also seemed as if you injured your knee during the match. Could you at all give us an update on your condition, Shawn?
Shawn Michaels: Todd, I felt just the way everybody else did at Backlash - Anxious, worried, scared, and hurt. But I've overcome the odds throughout my career, and by god, I'm gonna keep overcoming them. My knee has, as a matter of fact, improved since last night, I went to see a doctor earlier today, and he said I should be fine for the forseeable future. I also hope that my forseeable future doesn't have anything to do with Batista.
Another mixed reaction at mention of Batista.
Shawn Michaels: Batista thinks I have a big ego, but he can't get into that brain-less head of his that retiring Ric Flair was the hardest thing I have ever had to do throughout my entire life, let alone my career. Batista's the one who has a big ego, coming over to Raw and getting into my face, and I think I know why - Batista wants publicity. This whole thing was a publicity stunt by Batista, because his life and his career is decaying right before his very eyes. If he had a care in the world for Ric Flair, then he would let the past be the past. Batista-
Batista walks into the scene, getting a mixed reaction.
Batista: You talking about letting the past be the past, Shawn? Well that's exactly what you need to do, not me. You're the one who lives and feeds off his past success, because you just can't do it anymore, can you?
Heat for The Animal.
Batista: The only reason your old, crippled body is still roaming this land is because of your past accomplishments, Shawn, and you need to realise that. The only significant thing you've done over these past five years is retire Ric Flair, and believe me, that is not something to be proud of at all, but I bet it is for you, 100%.
Shawn Michaels: Batista, I'm facing CM Punk tonight, and despite the loads of respect I have for the kid, I'm gonna kick his teeth down his throat, for one reason, and one reason only - To get you off my back, once and for all. It will be hard, but I'll do whatever it takes to do so. And if you get in my way, I guarantee I will kick your teeth down your throat, and I won't have a single problem with it.
Batista: You wouldn't Shawn, that's just you. You're all talk, but that's it. If you decide to put your money where your mouth is, it's gonna be a very big gamble, because if you even attempt to lay a finger on me, then I will pummel your guilt-filled ass to the ground.
Mixed reaction as Raw heads into a commercial break, with Shawn Michaels and Batista staring eachother down.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Monday Night Raw returns, with the ring adorned with a red carpet and an armchair placed in the centre of the squared circle.
"Born Naughty"
Tons of heat as William Regal comes out on the stage, evidently overjoyed. The 2008 King Of The Ring strides down the rampway, and sits in his armchair happily upon entering the ring.
William Regal: As I look into this crowd, all I see is proud, jubiliant faces everywhere, and I know precisely why.
Heat for William Regal.
William Regal: In just a few moments, I will officially be crowned your King Of The Ring on this momentous occasion, and I will begin my reign as your ruler, your King and your superior. Jealous some of you maybe, but none of you are gifted with the talent that I possess.
Tons of heat for William Regal, and chants of "You Suck!" break out.
William Regal: You see, that's where you are wrong. I don't suck, far from it as a matter of fact. When you are General Manager of WWE Raw AND the King Of The Ring, you know that you are superior to everybody else. You people don't say "you suck" to people such as John Cena, do you?
Mixed reaction.
William Regal: You don't say "you suck" to Triple H, do you?
Mixed reaction.
William Regal: Those peasants are nothing in comparison to me. Nobody has more power in this company than me right now, not Triple H, not Randy Orton, not John Cena, not-
"No Chance"
Surprisingly big pop as Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon emerges on the HD Set, with a questioning look on his face.
Mr. McMahon: Mr. Regal, is my hearing deceiving me, or did I just hear you say that you are the most powerful force in World Wrestling Entertainment?
William Regal: But Mr. McMahon, I obviously wasn't refer-
Mr. McMahon: SHUT UP!!!
Huge pop, and the camera cuts to an area of the audience where numerous spectators are bowing down to the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment.
Mr. McMahon: Mr. Regal, you have been General Manager of Raw for quite some time now, and quite honestly, I have grown more and more sick of you every single day. As I am a fair man, Mr. Regal, I will give you a choice - You can either resign as Raw General Manager and remain King Of The Ring, or you can stay in your position as Raw General Manager and remain King Of The Ring......And re-join the Vince McMahon kiss my ass club!
Deafening pop.
Mr. McMahon: So, what's it gonna be, King William Regal? Resign or rejoin?
William Regal: ......Hmmm......Er......Oh fine, I'll rejoin your little "club", just please let me keep my job as General Manager!
Huge outbreak of laughter as Mr. McMahon smirks.
Mr. McMahon: That's all I needed to hear.
"No Chance"
Mr. McMahon leaves with a swagger in his step, whereas William Regal sinks to his knees and holds his head in his hands.
The camera switches backstage, where Cody Rhodes is sitting in the locker room, holding an icepack over his skull. Carlito walks into the scene.
Carlito: Looks like you had you learn the hard way tonight, huh, Cody?
Cody Rhodes: Just leave me alone, Carlito. My night's been bad enough already.
Carlito: You know, man, I gotta admit, I actually feel sorry for you. I guess-
Santino Marella rushes in, dragging Carlito away.
Santino Marella: Come on-a, Carlito, we need to-a celebrate our victory, not hanging about-a with this low-life scum-a.
Santino Marella and Carlito leave, as Cody Rhodes' head drops down again as the screen fades.
MATCH 4
Shawn Michaels
vs. CM Punk
ENDING: Shawn Michaels and CM Punk slowly rise to their feet following a double-clothesline, and exchange almost slow-motion-like blows. CM Punk gains the upper hand in the "fist-fight" and irish whips HBK against the ropes. Shawn Michaels runs back, and CM Punk connects with a hiptoss! CM Punk follows up with an elbow drop, and goes for the cover, hooking Shawn Michaels' leg,
1.....
2.....
.....No! Shawn Michaels kicks out!
CM Punk runs his hand through his hair, and glances at the top turnbuckle. CM Punk climbs to the top turnbuckle, and eagerly anticipates Shawn Michaels to rise to his feet. CM Punk pulls the trigger on a top-rope flying clothesline, but Shawn Michaels puts his experience to good use and counters, locking CM Punk in a crossface! CM Punk is gasping for air, and it looks like the Straight-Edge Superstar is going to tap out, when......CM Punk gets to the ropes! Shawn Michaels stares a hole through the referee, and grabs hold of CM Punk's legs. Shawn Michaels locks in the sharpshooter and CM Punk is screaming in agony. CM Punk oncer again somehow manages to make it to the ropes, and the frustration is evidently building up inside Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels walks over to the corner, and begins to tune up the band, to a huge pop from the audience. CM Punk gets to his feet, and Shawn Michaels attempts to hit sweet chin music, but CM Punk counters, and catches Shawn Michaels off guard with a roll-up,
1.....
2.....
.....Shawn Michaels kicks out!
CM Punk slams his fists at the mat in frustration, but nearly has his lights knocked out again by sweet chin music from Shawn Michaels, but CM Punk once again dodges the bullet, and lifts Shawn Michaels in position for the Go To Sleep. CM Punk looks to nail Shawn Michaels with his patented finishing maneuver, but Shawn Michaels slides off CM Punk's shoulders, and knocks CM Punk's teeth down his throat with sweet chin music, exactly like the Heart Break Kid said he would earilier tonight! Shawn Michaels plays to the crowd, and hooks the leg of the Straight-Edge CM Punk,
1.....
2.....
.....Shawn Michaels is victorious!
"Sexy Boy"
Shawn Michaels has his hand raised by the referee John Cone, and HBK proceeds to celebrate his hard-fought victory over CM Punk. Shawn Michaels applauds CM Punk's perseverance and endeavour, and CM Punk graciously accepts. However, none other than Batista jumps over the security wall, and eagerly anticipates Shawn Michaels to turn round. HBK turns round, but is laid out with a spear by Batista!!!
"I Walk Alone"
Tons of heat as Batista looks down at Shawn Michaels. Batista poses to the audience while standing on the second turnbuckle, provoking even more heat. Batista leaves, ignoring his hostile treatment by the fans.
The camera switches backstage, where Mike Adamle is standing by.
Mike Adamle: Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time......The Intercontinental Champion, Y2J Chris Jericho!
Big pop for Chris Jericho who walks into the scene, looking very serious.
Mike Adamle: Chris Jericho, in just a matter of moments, you will be competing for the WWE Championship against the reigning Champion Triple H, who only won the title as recently as last night. Tell me, Jericho, what were your motives to accept The Game's "challenge"?
Chris Jericho: Well Mike, to be honest I feel that the spot at the very pinnacle of sports entertainment is reserved for one man, and one man only......Y2J Chris Jericho. Mike, I would go to the end of the Earth and back to become WWE Champion again. I've proven in the past that I am more than capable of holding that gold around my waist, I was the first ever Undisputed Champion and no-one can, and no-one will forget that. Like I said, I have a lot of respect for Triple H, for what he's accomplished, but that's about it. There are no friends once you step into the ring, just allies and enemies. And Triple H, tonight......He's my enemy.
Mike Adamle: Chris, are you at all worried or intimidated by Randy Orton, who has been as of late breathing down your neck, in terms of the #1 contender spot?
Chris Jericho: Randy Orton, he's living in dreamland right now. He's the hunted, because he knows he's in the wrong place, at exactly the wrong time, and that time is when Y2J Chris Jericho regains the WWE Title, baby!
Big pop for Chris Jericho.
Chris Jericho: Randy Orton should be in the lower leagues of this business, just like he started out. His WWE Championship reign was ridden on luck, and guess what, Randy? Your luck's ran out, it ran out at Backlash last night, and nobody or nothing can protect you now. Y2J's going back to the top, and nothing can get in my way. Get ready, people of this Earth, to be saved by your future hero and WWE Champion, Chris Jericho.
Good reaction as Chris Jericho walks away.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Monday Night Raw switches backstage, where Mr. McMahon is preparing to step inside his limousine, reminiscent of his infamous "demise" back in June 2007. William Regal rushes over to Mr.McMahon, with an anxious look on his face.
William Regal: (Pleading) Please, Mr. McMahon, reconsider the ultimatum you set me earlier. please.
Mr. McMahon is far from impressed.
Mr. McMahon: Beg me.
William Regal: Are you actually serious, sir?
Mr. McMahon: You're damn right I'm serious, beg me.
William Regal gets on his knees, and begs Mr. McMahon.
William Regal: Please reconsider your ultimatum you set me, Mr. McMahon......I beg of you.
Mr. McMahon laughs.
Mr. McMahon: You actually think I was going to take back what I said?!
Faint laughter.
Mr. McMahon: Whether you like it or not, Mr. Regal, you are going to kiss my ass next week right here next week. And if you refuse, I have a little somebody lined up who will make you, and he's a former WWE Superstar, just to drop a hint.
Mr. McMahon steps inside his limosuine, and William Regal humourously closes his eyes and covers his ears as Mr. McMahon closes the door, incase history tends to repeat itself. The limosuine drives off, and the screen fades.
