MrRocker Presents: WWE; The Alternative Route

WWE Backlash 2008 has come and gone, and Vince McMahon, the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, will be setting his sights on a bright future ahead for his organization which seems to have withstood the difficult period of time which has seen the three brands', Raw, SmackDown and ECW, take a significant downfall. Regardless, Vince McMahon has come to a decision to take the World Wrestling Entertainment in a completely new and undiscovered direction, commencing immediately.

Tuesday Night ECW has been folded, with the WWE's Board Of Directors citing their decision as "Wanting to pave the route for the alternative direction of the company". The WWE Superstars on the now-defunct ECW Brand have been transferred to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown, with the draft being held on WWE.com, although numerous Superstars deemed surplus to requirements have been relegated to the WWE's developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling. Those Superstars, including the likes of Mike Knox and Colin Delaney, will be joined by certain Superstars from the remaining Raw and SmackDown Brands, Charlie Haas, Robbie and Rory McAllister and Val Venis to name a few. Moreover, The Boogeyman has been released, along with Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Nunzio.

The face of the World Wrestling Entertainment's creative set-up has also been drastically altered as well. Shane and Stephanie McMahon will assist the bookers of Raw and SmackDown respectively, which will come as a relief to bookers Brian Gerwitz and Michael Hayes, who have been under slight pressure from WWE fans in recent months. Dusty Rhodes, who was booker on ECW, will assist both brands in booking, with Raw presumably attracting the majority of Rhodes' attention.

I'm glad to hear that, sc2004, you'll have a review coming your way too in the foreseeable future. I've a lot more spare time nowadays, and my shows are a lot more advanced and improved length-wise, so everybody can expect some quality shows coming from -TR™-, bank on it.

The shows will indeed be in full, Lashley. I was contemplating laying the shows out in recap, but I'm more experienced writing in-depth shows.

Welcome back The Resolution (I think that's you) I remember your last work and was a regular reader. You have potential, just make sure you make the most of your talent.

I was hoping for some of your own Backlash results because I love threads where they begin with a real life PPV that's happened, but put in some of their own results. Anyway that said, the first post was neatly presented and I liked it.
