Default Re: WWE; The Alternative Route

I really enjoyed the opening promo. Orton was in character perfectly and so was Kennedy, you just wrote everything so well. The match later on should be pretty darn good, and I've got to say that I have a feeling Orton may be drafted to Smackdown next week, you know, just to shake things up a little.

The Kingston/Holly match was good. Was quite long, but you knew what you were doing. Puts Kofi over well as Hardcore is no easy guy to beat, but at the same time you didn't make Hardcore look too bad. Well done, great opener.

I loved the Regal/Burchill backstage promo. Regal was in character pretty well, maybe some more english accented words could of made it even better, but still. Burchill's character was basically perfect aswell, and I like how Regal told Burchill that he wasn't good enough before changing his mind when Katie Lea made him an offer he just couldn't refuse. Excellent stuff.

A good decision having the new tag champs going over against Paul London and Brian Kendrick, just to really show that they are serious champions and are here to stay. The match itself was quite good, with some good action, and a good flow. The result was good and i'm glad Golden Light won it cleanly.

I really liked the Ken Kennedy interview. Kennedy was in character nicely, and you really use him as a face well. maybe a little too well with the whole i'm doing it for Cena thing. A bit to mushy mushy for a loudmouth like Kennedy. Sets up the match later quite well anyway. Good promo.

The Cade/Murdoch match was a very good one, going with the same thing the WWE did to break these two up, but I have no problems with it. I like both men and want to see them receive a singles push. HAving cae win with the steel chair was a good move, builds up some heat for him while keeping Mudroch's credibility in tact.

Regal's hormones are racing one hundred miles an hour in this next promo, and I honestly think your making him look like an idot. Your kind of contradiciting yourself by having him act and look serious, and yet now you've got him rolling his tongue around in his mouth. I suspect that Regal has got the wrong idea about this reward, and he isn't going to be getting what he thinks he is. Anyway, not a bad promo at all. Very good show so far.

The Orton/Kennedy match was absolutely awesome. Some good action and spots, and it flowed well and was easy to understand and follow. Kennedy winning the way he did was good, and Cena was always going to make an appearance. You wrote the attack quite well, with it resulting in Kennedy winning by count out. The F-U through the table was pretty cool, and Cena certainly got some sweet sweet revenge. falls Count Anywhere match at One Night Stand! Wow, should be quite a spectacle. Well done the whole way through with this segment, brilliant.

The Hardy Bothers/Triple H Promo was good, everyone was in character nicely, although I didn't really like the whole idea of it. I mean, Matt coming and asking Triple H to go easy on his brother, bad move imo. Makes Matt look like a little suck up, and it kind of made Jeff look a bit weak. However I liked the end bit with the stare down and all, and i'm looking forward to the match at One Night Stand. I'm around seventy percent sure that "The Game" will retain his title, although I wouldn't be suprised if it went the other way.

The Main Event was very good, probally match of the night. Burchill seems to be getting a push, and i'm very happy about it, I like Burchill alot. The way he won it was good, with the interference from Regal. Just an overall good match, capped off a very good show. Aaaw poor Regal didn't gte is reward, although didn't really shock me. Still a pretty funny thing you had going on during this show.

The Contract Signing was good, but was a little too soft and polite. Regal started it off well though. Triple H isn't that dumb, and you shouldn't of had him fall for the hand shake, Hardy looked too good here, and made Triple H look to weak. The Swanton Bomb off the ladder through the table was good though, and finished the show on a high note, so well done for that.

Overall a top quality show here buddy, you are bascially perfect with all the supertstars characters in Promos, and you present your work very well too. I'm big on presentation, so that's why i'm your number one fan. And of course because your an extremely talented booker, who with a bit more experience could become one of the top dogs in this section. Some of the booking decisions were a bit off in this particular show, but it took nothing away from the overall reading enjoyment. Anyway to close this review I want to apologise for the extremely short review and just want to wish you good luck for the future. Great show mate.

RKO's Raw Review

Promo 1: I loved this promo. I did quite a similar promo with Orton too. I like it how Orton is used in this. Kennedy and Orton both look good here.

Kingston/Holly: Decent length and I enjoyed the match. I liked how you made a young superstar go over an older superstar. The ending was predictable but what counts that I enjoyed it loads.

Promo 2: It was an alright promo, i guess. I thought Regal was way out of character but Burchill was kind of in character. I think it's alright just to put this promo in the show but it wasn't too realistic.

Tag Team Match: You're matches are really great and I loved this one. I think both teams are good young talents and kind of glad golden light won the match, again decent length and possibly one of the great matches of this show.

Promo 3: It was very short and was not much of a hype for the match. Well, you could've made Adamle sound more interesting like make him look like an idiot but it's your booking so your choice. But Kennedy's character was great.

Cade/Murdoch: A solid match once again and I liked how you made Cade go over Murdoch. Another decent length of match and it shows that you at least dedicate your time writing full matches.

Promo 4: It seems you're using same characters loads. Try next time using different characters like in two promos but this promo looked exactly like their first promo but I think it was another alright promo though.

Kennedy/Orton: I loved this match and liked how Cena came from nowhere and beat the crap out of Orton. I thought it was a well written match and was not too complicated.

Promo 5: I did not think this segment was great. Neither of the superstars were in character and it was very unrealistic. Sorry if thats harsh.

Burchill/Jericho: Great main event. Loved the ending and I did not expect Burchill to pick up the win but I liked how you used the tools to make a great main event.

Promo 6: It was okay but I loved what happened right at the end where all the drama starts happening. Really good to see that happening and makes me want to read more of your shows.

Overall: Decent show, decent length. Just work slightly on making superstars in character but nothing else. 8/10!

My RAW Review

Orton & Kennedy Promo promo: A great heel promo for Orton to tout him as the main heel on the brand, love the resident loudmouth Kennedy coming out to shut up Orton.

Kingston vs. Holly: A decent detailed hard fought match with Kofi coming out on top, anybody could have won but I was pleased to see Kofi prevail.

Burchill and Regal promo I/II/III: A decent set promo between the fellow Brits, there was a nice rappour between both men which made the promos for me. The final promo was comedy gold for me with Regal totally getting the wrong idea.

Burke & Benjamin vs. London/Kendrick: A great match, I’m delighted to see Shelton & Burke teaming up and they really bring credibility to the tag titles for once, it had some good high flying and counter elements building up for a good end result.

Kennedy interview:
A signature Kennedy promo seeing him do what he does best running off that big mouth of his.

One night stand build up: A great and entertaining preview to build up your exiting matches at One Night Stand.

Cade vs. Murdoch: A nice little match, and I’m glad Cade got the win as there’s so much depth to his character than a mid carder.

Kennedy vs. Orton: An entertaining match with the predictability of John Cena showing up, Kennedy got the win never the less even if its via count out.

Hardy and Triple H promo: A great promo building up for Jeff’s match with trips at the PPV, I really look forward to reading their match.

Burchill vs. Jericho: On paper you wouldn’t expect Burchill to feature in this kind of caliber match, however you pull it off mate and I was shocked to see him get the victory.

Hardy and Triple H contract signing: Wow man I really didn’t see that coming with Hardy, what a great way to end the show and to build up their PPV match. It leaves so many questions unanswered, as I said above its going to be a must see.

Overall thoughts: Overall it was a great show with some twists and turns what I didn’t expect at all, all I can say is I can’t wait for the Pay Per View. I’d give the show an 8.5 rating, keep the good work up mate I love it.

Thanks for the reviews everybody, they're appreciated a lot.

Now, I've seen the downsides in my recent show, and I wanted to change them, but I had to post the show ASAP. It's the Draft next week, and from then I'm starting on a clean slate, so my shows are going to be a lot better, especially with the rosters I want. I'm surprised that most of my feedback was good, so thanks everyone!

The Showstopper 88’s RAW review

Opening Segment

Good heel behaviour from Randy, getting some enormous heat, although some of his language wasn‘t intense enough. I like the way you’ve made him so unlikeable. Nice intervention from a confident Kennedy, I hope he stands a chance.

Match 1 - Hardcore vs. Kofi

Very good match, nice back and forth action and good description. You picked the right winner, too. Nice to see Kofi go over.

Regal/Burchill segment

Started really well, with Regal being firm and honest with Burchill, and this could have really gone somewhere if you’d maintained the tension, but Regal gave in to the seduction. I don’t think this is something that he’d do IRL, and it made him come across weak.

Match 2 - Golden Light vs. Londrick

Another good’un. Nice description of the detail and I like the way that you had London isolated.

Kennedy segment
Nice, in character from Kennedy and well done. Nice touch by having him acknowledge Cena. I like the cocky face character that KK has.

Match 3 - Trevor Murdoch vs. Lance Cade
Great match, you conveyed the intensity of this rivalry so well, and Lance Cade came across brilliantly as a sadistic heel. The use of the chair was clever too, and this could be a good start for a Lanc cade monster heel push.

Match 4 - Mr. Kennedy vs. Randy Orton
Some good offense time for both guys here, and the lick of the lips by RKO before he tried to punt KK in the head was a great touch, just puts him over as sadistic all the more. Some nice moves by both men. As predictable as it was, the assault by Cena was great. It was nice to see Orton get a taste of his own medicine. Very well described, and nice stipulation for ONS!

HHH/Matt/Jeff segment
This was really iffy. Not only can I not see Matt hardy doing that, but it was a little cheesy too. The dialogue here wasn’t that great. No-one really seemed in character, and I couldn’t tell whether, title match aside, HHH and Jeff are getting along well or not.

Match 5 - Y2J vs. Burchill
I knew Burchill wouldn’t win this cleanly, he’s not good enough yet - a bit out of his depth maybe! And it’s weird to see VKM playing more of a face role. This was an ok match, plenty of description and action, but you seemed to have the two wrestlers doing the same moves. Try to vary up your language and the moves a bit more. The segment afterwards showed Regal up big time - as someone said earlier, try to decide whether you want him to be taken seriously or not. Sometimes you have to forego comedy if you do.

Contract signing
Hmmm. I wasn’t keen on this. The dialogue from Regal was too much. OTT polite, and there was just too much of it. I just can’t see him being like that. Some lines from both wrestlers before or after they signed would have been good, the silence was deafening. And it seemed as though you did the Swanton off the ladder and thru the table for the hell of it. This is my first show, but I’m guessing that neither man is a heel. So why have Jeff flip out like that? There seemed to be a mutual respect earlier, and there was just no real reason for it. A simple Twist of Fate, or some harsh words and them getting in each other’s faces would have sufficed.

Overall
Not bad. It’s strange, your matches are, for most part, really good, and I enjoyed reading them a lot. But I feel that your segments and mike work need work. Some of the dialogue is really cheesy and a lot of superstars just didn’t seem in character in some segments. 6/10. I hate being harsh. Just remember, matches are excellent, bar a little repetition in moves, but promos and segments need work. I'm only saying it because I think that this has a lot of potential. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother

Check out my BTB if you have time. I put up SD on Friday and my partner puts up RAW tomorrow hopefully.

Mr.R Presents...
WWE SMACKDOWN; PREVIEW!
WWE; The Alternative Route

Last week, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero announced that her wedding to the World Heavyweight Champion, the Rated-R Superstar Edge, would take place on this week's edition of SmackDown. It would appear that relationship, which was originally believed to be a shortcut to the World Heavyweight Championship for Edge, has blossomed into a true share of love for each other, but nothing is certain quite yet. The Wedding will headline this week's edition of SmackDown, but will the tradition of Weddings never being fulfilled take it's toll, one way or another?

ALSO ON SMACKDOWN...

- John Morrison and The Miz will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line tonight against Matt Hardy and a Tag Team partner of his choosing, after the Co-Stars of the Dirt Sheet accepted the United States Champion's challenge. Matt Hardy and whoever his partner will be certainly have the momentum going into this match, after Hardy defeated The Miz in singles action last week, so who will emerge victorious, and with the WWE Tag Team Championships around their waists?

- Finlay and his newly-found acquaintance Sheamus O'Shannessy will face Big Daddy V and Matt Striker tonight on SmackDown, which could see the culmination of this highly-entertaining rivalry between the Fighting Irishman and The Mastadon. Finlay would have been Big Daddy V's dinner last week if it wasn't for Sheamus, so will Finlay repay Sheamus, by notching up a win for his Team?

- Last week, we saw the return of one of WWE's favorite Superstars, The Hurricane. The Hurricane returned at the expense of Kenny Dykstra, and the Self-Proclaimed Future Hall Of Famer will be looking to get revenge on The Hurricane one way or another, although no match between the two rivals has been scheduled thus far.

- More Matches are to be added to the card for One Night Stand this Sunday, so don't miss SmackDown, at 8/7 CT on the CW Network, tonight!

Mr.R Presents...
WWE SMACKDOWN!
WWE; The Alternative Route

"I Dare You To Tell Me To Walk Through Fire, Wear My Soul And Call Me A Liar, I Dare You To Tell Me To Walk Through Fire, I Dare You To Tell Me, I Dare You To"

The new SmackDown Theme Song, "I Dare You" by Shinedown, plays while being accompanied by a Highlight Reel which features the main Superstars of the SmackDown Brand. The theme music volume decreases as the camera pans the sold-out FedEx Forum, and a spectacular display of pyrotechnics commences from the High Definition Entranceway. We join Michael Cole and Mick Foley, who are at ringside.

Cole: We welcome you to Friday Night SmackDown, LIVE from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee! My name is Michael Cole, my colleague's name is Mick Foley, and tonight is the long-awaited wedding of World Heavyweight Champion Edge and General Manager Vickie Guerrero!

Foley: Not to mention that we are just 48 hours away from One Night Stand; Extreme Rules, Michael, and it could be the end of Shawn Michaels' career this Sunday.

Cole: Tonight's Main Event will see Shawn Michaels face MVP in a match where there is no disqualifications and no count-outs!

[MATCH ONE; TAG TEAM]
Finlay & Sheamus vs. Matt Striker & Big Daddy V

ENDING:

Sheamus and Matt Striker are currently active in the ring, and Matt Striker has Sheamus in a standing headlock. Sheamus pushes Matt Striker against the ropes, but Matt Striker takes down Sheamus with a running shoulder tackle. Matt Striker looks to follow up with an elbow drop, but Sheamus moves out of the way, as Matt Striker makes a fool out of himself by elbowing the canvas! Sheamus quickly gets Matt Striker to his feet, and irish whips the former Teacher against the ropes. Sheamus takes down Matt Striker with a hip toss, and gets Matt Striker in an arm lock. Matt Striker makes it to his feet, and reverses his way out of the predicament, then getting Sheamus in a head lock. Sheamus reverses the head lock, by back dropping Matt Striker to the canvas! Sheamus tries to lock Matt Striker in a boston crab submission hold, but Matt Striker kicks Sheamus into the corner of the ring, and the Irish newcomer's eyes bulge when Matt Striker tags in the incomparable Big Daddy V, who approaches Sheamus. Sheamus tags in Finlay, who comes into the ring and tells Big Daddy V to "bring it on". Big Daddy V charges toward Finlay, but the Fighting Irishman takes Big Daddy V down with a drop toe hold, as Big Daddy V falls, face-first, into the middle turnbuckle! A disorientated Mastadon is on his knees, and Finlay dropkicks Big Daddy V off his knees and down to the canvas. Finlay makes an attempt to win the match, covering Big Daddy V,

One......

Two......

......Thr-No! Big Daddy V kicks out emphatically, throwing Finlay away!

Finlay gets back to his feet, but meets a big boot from Big Daddy V! Big Daddy V makes a "V" symbol with his fingers, and goes for a leg drop, but Finlay moves out of the way, as Big Daddy V's leg drop attempt only meets the canvas. Finlay capitalises on the situation, and kicks Big Daddy V in the sternum, as Big Daddy V falls back. Finlay tags in Sheamus, who climbs to the top turnbuckle, eagerly anticipating Big Daddy V to get to his feet. Big Daddy V recovers, and Sheamus hits a flying clothesline! Big Daddy V teeters into the ropes, and Finlay enters the ring, as Finlay and Sheamus double-clothesline Big Daddy V out of the ring! Big Daddy V begins to get back up, but Sheamus leaps over the ropes, as Sheamus and Big Daddy V go into the announce table. With Big Daddy V's back on the announce table, Sheamus continues to assault the most Dominant Force In The WWE. Big Daddy V pushes Sheamus away, and Sheamus runs toward Big Daddy V again, but Big Daddy V flattens Sheamus with a clothesline! Big Daddy V and Sheamus re-enter the ring, and Big Daddy V covers S.O.S,

One......

Two......

......Three-Finlay intervenes, breaking up the cover!

With a menacing look in his eye, Big Daddy V glares at Finlay, who retreats back to the ring apron. Big Daddy V walks toward Finlay, but Sheamus jumps on Big Daddy V's back, raking Big Daddy V in the eyes. Big Daddy V groggily approaches the center of the ring, and Sheamus pushes Big Daddy V into the corner of the ring. Sheamus clotheslines Big Daddy V in the corner of the ring, but Matt Striker has made a blind tag, without Sheamus knowing. Sheamus tries to get the audience fired up, and Sheamus turns around, only to be laid out with a DDT from Matt Striker! Matt Striker pummels Sheamus with stomps to the mid-section, and keeps stomping until Matt Striker is reprimanded by referee Wes Adams. Matt Striker gets Sheamus to his feet, and Matt Striker goes for a scoop slam, but Sheamus slips off Matt Striker's shoulders, and Sheamus takes down Matt Striker with a russian leg sweep. Sheamus and Matt Striker lie on the canvas for several moments, before Sheamus tags in Finlay, who prevents Matt Striker from tagging in Big Daddy V. Finlay hoists Matt Striker onto his shoulders, and connects with the celtic cross! Finlay hooks the legs of Matt Striker, covering Your Teacher,

One......

Two......

......Three! Finlay and Sheamus get the victory!

"Lambeg" begins to play, as Finlay and Sheamus have their hands raised by referee Wes Adams. Finlay and Sheamus embrace, and turn round, only to be simultaneously samoan dropped by Big Daddy V! Big Daddy V makes a "V" symbol to the audience with his fingers, attracting major heat, and The Mastadon carries his associate Matt Striker up the aisle.

Cole: Finlay and Sheamus get the victory they deserved over Big Daddy V and Matt Striker, but once again it was The Mastadon who stood tall over the Irish tandem, Mick!

Foley: Matt Striker made a big mistake applying that blind tag, which cost him and Big Daddy V the match, but if Big Daddy V was in the ring, Finlay and Sheamus certainly wouldn't have been celebrating, Michael.

The camera switches backstage, where the Head Of SmackDown, Linda McMahon, is walking down a corridor. A loud cough is heard in the background, and Linda McMahon turns round to see Kenny Dykstra, who has an impatient look on his face.

McMahon: Good evening, Kenny, what can I do for you?

Dykstra:What can you do? If you had the slightest idea what happened last week on SmackDown, then you wouldn't be asking that, Linda. The Hurricane made his return last week, and made it at my expense!
The audience fondly remember The Hurricane's return last week, and a huge pop breaks out as a result. This angers Kenny Dykstra, whose fuse is running out.

McMahon: For your information, Kenny, I did see SmackDown last week, as I am the Head of this show, and I saw what happened. I'm not taking sides, but I would suggest that you, young man, had it coming.

Dykstra: (Shaking his head) Not taking sides? You are clearly being biased toward The Hurricane, and being the obvious figure of authority that you are, you shouldn't be taking sides in this situation. I've got a score to settle with Hurricane Helms, and I've come to you to get clarification that I can settle the score tonight, right here on SmackDown.

The prospect of Kenny Dykstra versus The Hurricane tonight on SmackDown is overwhelming, and gets a great reception.

McMahon: Well, judging by the audience's reaction, they want to see this match, so it's official - Kenny Dykstra, tonight, you will be facing The Hurricane.

Linda McMahon walks away to a good reaction from the audience, as Kenny Dykstra shouts in joy under his breath.

**COMMERCIAL BREAK**

[MATCH TWO; SINGLES]
Charlie Haas vs Evan Bourne

ENDING:

Charlie Haas Irish whips Evan Bourne into the corner of the ring, and Charlie Haas hits Evan Bourne with an elbow to the chest. Charlie Haas stomps at Evan Bourne recurrently until the SmackDown Newcomer is seated in the corner of the ring, and Charlie Haas presses his boot into Evan Bourne's neck, until referee Mike Posey instructs Charlie Haas to stop. Charlie Haas gets Evan Bourne to his feet, and sends Evan Bourne back into the corner of the ring with a single uppercut. Charlie Haas goes for a clothesline, but Evan Bourne moves out of the way as Charlie Haas is condemned to clotheslining only the top turnbuckle, and Charlie Haas groggily turns around, only to be sent flying across the squared circle, courtesy of a monkey flip performed by Evan Bourne! An irritating fan at ringside continously chants "ROH! ROH! ROH!" as Evan Bourne takes in the great reception from the audience, and gets Charlie Haas to his feet. Evan Bourne irish whips Charlie Haas against the ropes, only for Charlie Haas to reverse and whip Evan Bourne into the ropes, but nonetheless, Evan Bourne gets some more offence in, taking down Charlie Haas with a hurricarana! These fans can't get enough of Evan Bourne, and the High-Flyer climbs to the top turnbuckle, eagerly anticipating Charlie Haas to get to his feet. Charlie Haas recovers, and Evan Bourne leaps onto Charlie Haas, knees-first, but Charlie Haas moves out of the way, as Evan Bourne's unorthodox maneuver doesn't connect. Charlie Haas looks to capitalise on Evan Bourne's untimely mistake, and makes the cover,

One......

Two......

......Thr-No! Evan Bourne kicks out!

Charlie Haas runs his hand through his hair, thinking "What does it take to beat this guy?" and gets Evan Bourne in a headlock, grounding the High-Flyer. Evan Bourne, after several moments of perseverance, escapes from Charlie Haas' grasps, and takes down Charlie Haas with a drop toe hold. Evan Bourne climbs to the top turnbuckle, and leaps into the air, winding Charlie Haas in the mid-section with a double-footed stomp from the top turnbuckle! Evan Bourne follows up with a standing moonsault, and outstretches his arms in a pose for the audience, getting some very good feedback. The camera switches to backstage in Shawn Michaels' locker room, where Shawn Michaels is tying up the laces on his black and silver Wrestling boots. Shawn Michaels' rival, Batista, walks into the locker room, getting a mixed reception, primarily consisting of boos.

Batista: This is it, Shawn. I haven't come to terms yet with the fact that this is your penultimate WWE appearance. But when I do come to terms with this, I'll be happier than ever.
Batista's comments draw major heat from the audience, who are hoping Shawn Michaels prevails this Sunday in his I Quit Match against Batista at One Night Stand.

Shawn Michaels: You know, Dave, perhaps you're right. Or perhaps, I'm going to kick your teeth down your throat this Sunday at One Night Stand, and keep going until I'm physically incapable. Now honestly, Dave, what d'ya think is more likely?

Batista: Well, Shawn, you have your opinion, and I have mine. Believe me, I know about your beliefs, so it would only be fitting for me to say, God bless the first commandment.

Batista's disrespect to Shawn Michaels' beliefs draw even more negative feedback from the audience, but Batista seems to be thoroughly basking in the negativity.

Shawn Michaels: You can say and play all the mind games you please, Dave, but the fact remains, I'm still a WWE Superstar right now, and you can bet your butt I'm going to do whatever it takes to remain a WWE Superstar once One Night Stand has come and gone. I'll see you at One Night Stand, big man.

Shawn Michaels walks out of his locker room to a good reception, as The Animal Batista looks on, as if the former World Heavyweight Champion has something to say.

Batista: Well, maybe I'll see you before One Night Stand.
Under his breath, Batista laughs at his own remarks, and also walks out, getting a mixed reception, as the screen switches back to the FedEx Forum.

Cole: Mick, what do you think Batista meant by saying that "maybe he'll see Shawn Michaels before One Night Stand"?

Foley: I know exactly the same as you do, Michael, so for now, we can only speculate this matter.

Cole: But next, John Morrison and The Miz defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against United States Champi
