I would like to see the rule removed, I mean who is seriously going to get upset over a few words with Benoit, hell throw a joke in or two. If worst comes to worst then you don't have to read the actual thread but I wouldn't lose sleepless nights over seeing Benoit or Eddie in a thread.
Who cares if it does not seem right using Benoit. Whatever the fuck he did - and lets bear in mind not all the details have been released - he was still a great wrestler and one of the best technical wrestlers the WWE has ever seen.
If you have such a weak soul that you can't bear to use him, fair enough but I can seperate fact from fiction enough to use Benoit and have no qualms about doing so.
Geez, what is with you and harsh responses. I was merely stating one opinion. No need to insult people.

He wasn't insulting anybody. He was stating his honest opinion on the situation, like you did.
Imo, I think the rule should fade. It's really not that good of an idea. I mean, it's not like anybody's gonna try and disrespect the wrestler or anything. Will the wrestler lose matches? Sure, but that's not disrespectful. That's just the game.
Wait, last time I checked you were allowed to continue using deceased wrestlers after the time of death, just as long as you used them befire the time in the first place
Do not use deceased wrestlers for a modern day show, or a show with a roster of completely deceased wrestlers. If however you are starting a company from a date before a wrestlers death, than they can be used.
If a wrestler dies, like Eddie Guerrero, it doesn’t mean you have to stop using him. People have their personal opinions. Just because someone else does it doesn’t mean you have to.
Well, that's the verdict. So it's settled, KF4E. For you, Eddie and Benoit are legal. I still probably won't use them if I come back.

Am I wrong?
No, you're not. We are talking about deceased wrestlers in a BTB starting AFTER thier death.

Hello. Have you ever felt inadequate, unwanted, undervalued?
Have you ever felt outmuscled, outfought, outspoken?
If you have, we have the solution for you. When you need a problem solving, there is only one man to turn to.
I think the rule is there just to make sure no one would use dead characters in the wrong way. For example, if some idiot came on and made some remarks about Benoit's actions and Eddie's drugs past for example in his thread. I think having it in place is fair, but i think 99% of people on here would be intelligent enough to use them wisely and not inflict any kind of insults about them
The thing with the 2004 time period. These two men were on the top of their game. Both holding the Championship belts. I think if you were to remove them completely it would ruin the whole thing.
I was contemplating doing a BTB based in 2001 (I think?), and I'll be honest, I was going to exploit Eddie and Benoit's death like no other. The two would eventually come together and be forced to feud with the Right To Censor. RTC became angered at Benoit because during a match, Benoit did a suicide dive to the outside, only to overshoot it and fly into the crowd and knock out a kid. Steven Richards was going to label Benoit as a child abuser, and a man of violent rage. According to Richards, if Benoit continued the kind of lifestyle he is living in the WWE, we'd see him on CNN in a few years - and just to estimate, maybe six years - as some sick and sadistic murderer of a child. The RTC would also criticize Eddie Guerrero for his past lifestyle of alcoholism, cocaine use, pain killers addiction, etc, and label him as the type who was setting a bad example for children, but his "cool and cheating" ways would only result in his premature death, probably of a heart attack.
I would've made fun of all of it, and it would've been fucking hilarious. Fuck the pussies who can't get a good laugh outta it, too.
