Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
Here are the staple Main Eventers in WF BTB, and as such, they're a stale bunch. I also added my own commentary to each;
Kurt Angle (Still being brought in WWE Threads)
Christian Cage (Eww, he's a Main Eventer? Overrated piece of crap)
Edge (See above)
Batista (He's cool, but he can get a bit stale somestimes. Turned into a upper midcarder sometimes)
John Cena (He's usually turned into an Upper Midcarder though, for some reason. He's more credible than Cage)
Triple H (Understandable, by all means)
The Undertaker (Stale as hell as a face, but as a Mega Heel, he rocks my socks)
HBK (Like Triple H, understandable)
JBL (He falls by the wayside in some people's threads, like mine)
Jericho (Main Event material, indeed)
Otherwise, that's it. Of course, there's the retro Main Eventers like Rock and Stone Cold; rarely do I ever see Hulk Hogan, damn biased bastards. Come on, 'Immortal One' Hulk Hogan Vs... well, anything, has a nice ring to it, ya gotta admit. Oh, then there are the guys that are semi ME, like Rob Van Dam and Booker T.

Christian Cage just happens to be one of the most UNDER-rated main eventers ever. I think you got under-rated and over-rated confused. In any case, the list is an absolute good, Oskar Schindler. However, you missed a few guys, like Samoa Joe, Rhyno, etc. meh... I'll overlook it this time.
Btw, what you said about Hogan is too true. He doesn't have too many years left. Instead of dating that rip-off Brooke Hogan, he should get back into the ring and enjoy those last few years kicking ass in the squared circle.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
We need more Hulk Hogan. Sure, he's not that great in the ring, but neither is JBL, and people still use him. Hulk Hogan garners more ratings than that American mogul, and 'The Immortal' Hulk Hogan Vs 'The American Hero' Kurt Angle, 'Captain Charisma' Christian, 'The Rated R Superstar' Edge, and hell, 'The Doctor of Thuganomics/The Boss (DDMac copyrighted)' John Cena can double ratings. We need more Hogan!
And regarding Cage, I was never a fan of him, hence my bias. Same to Edge; to be honest, I find him dull and uninspiring. Then again, I'm more of a fan of macabre Heels and 'take crap from nobody' faces and tweeners.

That's the thing. Faces like that tend to get... well... boring. That's what John Cena's been for the past few years and the fans are starting to... wel.. not like him.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
To each his own; Heels like Edge are incredibly boring to me. And Christian... he's.. meh. What happened to John Cena is they toned down his attitude. I still like Old School faces/heels, though, that's for sure. There's always room in my heart for the old school villains and heroes. The Classic good vs bad.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
The type of feuds I love are the classic heel versus face like you just mentioned. Bad versus evil. But I also love a good face versus face match, say if it was built up correctly and then they had a huge showdown at Wrestlemania. Who was the best face in the company, that sort of thing. I could also get into a decent heel versus heel rivalry aswell. who is the biggest bad ass in the company.
Those sort of things are what I like. Hang on, I've basically just mentioned every type of feud you could have. I suck. Anyway yeah.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
I think heel vs. heel feuds are feuds that many people don't try, but should. They can be very entertaining. I mean, with a feud of this kind, the audience is most likely going to favour one side. But you don't have to turn that superstar face straight away.
e.g. Start a feud between Randy Orton and Mr. Kennedy, who are both heels. They start arguing over who's better. Over the next several weeks, have them each cheat to win. Carry on the feud for a few more weeks (or however long), but still keep both men in character.
It can work.

Re: BTB Discussion Thread - May 2008
I love the basic heel v. face feuds as well, but heel vs. heel> face vs. face. Face vs. face is usually very predictable and ends up with one of them turning on the other.

Hey guys!
Does this sound a bad/unrealistic thing to do:
Have a woman piledriver another woman onto a steel chair.
