Scotty Cuzz's Review of ECW:

Segment 1 Promo/Match: My prediction before even reading the match is that Colin will absolutely squash Funaki and he'll have earned his contracted. Although I don't know how beating Funaki earns you anything. Funkai is a J4L.

Nice short and sweet match, and very easy to read. I loved it. Perhaps a new gimmick for Delaney? Generic jobber match though. 3/5

Match 2 Non Title Tag: Any match with Kofi Kingston and CM Punk should be interesting.

Exciting match. Nice little brawl between Kennedy and CM Punk over there. It made the match a bit interesting. I almost felt bad for Kofi as he was getting his ass handed to him. I also like how it was a double countout, keeping the streaks intact. That was pretty clever. It's gotta come to an end soon though.

Backlash Segment: Loved it. Everything flowed well and that was some excellent writing and creativity on your part. Very appropriate for Backlash. 5/5

Match 3 Cruiserweight: When reading the preview, I expected this to be a squash match. I guess it's cool that you're pushing Benjamin, but having him squash Nunzio isn't the way I'd push him personally. I think it would be very interesting to bring back the Cruiserweight title and make him the champion. Do sort of like a Matt Hardy V1 angle where he was trying to keep under weight, and how he's a great cruiserweight champion.

Dreamer Segment: Good segment that draws curiousity and attention.

Match 4 Elijah/Dreamer: I enjoyed the match. Good back and forth, and I liked the intensity in Elijah. The promo after also did the developing feud justice. Good job. 4.5/5

Kennedy Segment: I liked the segment and love the Punk/Kennedy feud. Two MITB winners going at it. I think it makes for very interesting entertainment.

Match 5 Chavo/Moore: I guess it served it's purpose. I personally would have used some weapons on Moore just to add more drama to what you were trying to do with that match. The segment after was average. 2.5/5

Main Event: I think this is the first time I can make a character comment, and both superstars were pretty much spot on, as far as Kennedy shying away from Kane. It seemed like a pretty average match until the end which was defintely saved the match. I liked Chavo's heel tactics. Loved the ending as far as Kane catching Chavo in mid air with a chokeslam. I don't know how real that is, I don't really think it's possible, but it was creative, I'll give you that. 3.5/5

So my final thoughts: I love your presentation. Everything is very clear. It's very organized. Not hard to read at all, I'm sure you've heard all that before. My biggest criticism is your style. But after all, it's your style and I'm not here to tell you to change it. I think you could draw a lot more interest in your matches, promos especially, if you write them out instead of summarizing them. You have an excellent sense of creativity, and I think you'd be great at writing out promos and that in turn, would turn out a very entertaining product.

One last note, you'll notice not everything I comment on has a numerical grade. That's because I didn't really feel the need to evaluate some stuff because there was nothing there. Some stuff was just there to serve its purpose. So no, I didn't just forget to give grades to some stuff, and overall you got...

Delaney/Funaki - A feel good moment. a bit long though. Funaksi ia a jobber lol

Burke Interview - Nice way to hype his return to ECW.

Morrison & Miz/ Kofi & Punk - Good match with heavy angle advancement. It looks like you're reallu pushing for a huge feud between Punk and Kennedy. Good match, also liked the finish since it protected all four of them

Shelton/Nunzio - Great way to put over Shelton. He looked like a monster and makes him the favorite for Backlash

Dreamer/Burke - Another solid match and the best way possible to re-debut Burke. Its a tad bit long. 9 Minutes for a squash?/ but i can understand you want to protect Dreamer since he's going for the tag titles

Kennedy promo - Nice way to hype the Kennedy/Punk feud
7.5/10

Chavo/Moore - Solid match, and good way to put Chavo over before the big match at Backlash
7/10

Kane/Kennedy - Wow, lots of Kennedy in the show, which is understandable sicne he's probably the biggest star in ECW. Good match, but again too long. Good angle advancement, with putting the champion over strong before the match at Backlash

Overall: Good show, lots of angle advancement, can't wait to find out Tommy's partner and Backlash

Colin/Funaki: The opening promo must've gotten the fans excited, seeing poor Colin get a shot at at WWE contract. Interesting how Colin got pissed off. If it continues, it could work well. Although the DDT isn't really a credible finisher anymore, a clothesline isn't, either.

Tag Match: It was good, and the double count-out kept everyone strong, but I think that Miz and Morrison would've been DQ'ed after Kennedy got involved. The chair shot to Punk was brutal, though.

Shelton/Nunzio: I hope you're going somewhere with Shelton being a CW, because clearly he's not. Mostly a squash, but it did its job in putting over Shelton for the CW Title.

Burke/Dreamer: Good for Dreamer, getting on a PPV. I hope that his partner is a good choice, but the team's going to need some building up first. As for the match, it seems as if Elijah's getting a push, which is a damn good thing. The post-match beatdown also did a good job in somewhat getting over their feud.

Kennedy segment: Pretty good, Punk is going to have to work his ass off to get to get the win.

Chavo/Shannon: Two squashes in one show isn't really something you want to do. It being just a set-up for Chavo to plug his match also kind of brought this down.

Main event: A great main event, told a good story. The match was definitely good, but the ending was kind of dumb. I don't really like countering a Frog Splash with a chokeslam, I just don't see it as believable. Your not catering to me, so just do what you want. Your BTB.

Overall: A good show, had some nice high points, but the two squashes didn't really do anything except give little momentum. Try to avoid one, but don't go for two. Everything else was fine, a good read. 7/10.

Greenstuff's ECW Feedback

Ok firstly I have to say last weeks ECW was brilliant, so i hope this one is just as good. Well nice first match, good detail as always, Delaney winning by a clothesline? Well i guess it was against Funaki, have you brought him back I thought he didn't wrestle anymore? Anyway I would like Delaney to do well in the WWE and you obviously do aswel so it's nice that he got his WWE Contract!

Good to see Burke back hope he beats Dreamer, as he probably will as it's his come back, but still I look forward to that match.

You wouldn't really see Kofi and Punk in a tag team but It is a good tag team as they are both face. I would like them to continue and maybe win the tag team titles.
But it was a good match but I am confused why as to why Kennedy came out? Ah I see now regal gave him permission to be on ECW but why would he interfere?

Nice promo for Backlash it looks to be a great show so far, so can't wait for it! Well kind of a squash match Nunzio vs Shelton but still there has to be one, good detail and I would like to see Shelton in the Cruzerweight scene so good luck with that. WOW Dreamer in the tag title scene can't wait to see who he chooses, It should be a really good match at Backlash, Will the matches be in full?

Nice to see Burke win, good description! Morrison and The Miz with the attack was brilliant as It is just the thing WWE would do, so well done. Yoy hype things up really well a thing I wish I could be good at. Ah right this explains why Kennedy interfered he is going to face Punk at Backlash again you have hyped it up really well and I am very excited to see Backlash now, can't wait for it, but good promo with Kennedy there.

Wow I quit match at Backlash, Chavo vs Kane really can't wait for that. Obviously a kindda squash match but again I liked it nice detail aswel. Amazing main event mate, really really good! FANTASTIC description and great detail in it, loved the way Kennedy won, but really I think there has been too many destractions and interuptions in the show but If thats they way you do it and I like it but just for the future I wouldn't do it as much.

I didn't excpect Kane to reverse Chavo's frog splash but that was great, you have really hyped Backlash up in this show so well done for that mate.

Overall: Liked this show alot, as I said at the start of the review I hope it lived up to last weeks show, and mate it really really has. It was brilliant, for a recounted show you have made it the best one I have red in ages. And you have made your recounts better and better each show. 10/10

Nice job! Your formatting is very clear and enjoyable to read

Funaki was an odd choice, I think Colin should have faced AAE, or faced a monster and gotten a Whipwreck win.

Enjoyable and completely WWE-style (make teams of feuding people) tag match. Good job not making anyone look weak. Kennedy coming out was a good way to further the Punk/KK fued, and it saved the undefeated streak.

Shelton as a cruiser = no way. He is billed in the real WWE as 245 lbs. Ignoring that, the match was fine, although 6:08 is a long time for a squash.

I like Elijah a lot, so him getting the win over Dreamer was fine for me. Again, I think the match time is somewhat long, but whatever.

Not much to say about Chavo's squash. Keeps him strong for Backlash, and he needs a squash win after Kane pwned him at WM.

ME was random, and Kennedy was already on the show earlier. Not sure why that happened. Also, how did Kane get blasted by the title belt and then hit a chokeslam. That means he no-selled the title shot.

One problem was realism. There is no way 6 matches would fit into an episode of ECW. Probably could have put one or two of the squashes on SD. Just my advice.

Just some feedback.

Firstly in most of the reviews people have questioned if Kane catching Chavo by the throat is realistic, well it is as the WWE do it, I don't exactly mean midair I mean when he is about to hit Kane, Kane grabs his throat.

Also, I know 6 matches was pushing it, but I really want to give ECW some credibility so having 6 matches was my way to do it. Hopefully I will have the time to make it a two hour show sometime.

Some people have obviously not read all the way through, I explained why Kennedy was put into a match, it was kind of 'Punishment' by Estrada for him interefering in the Tag Team Match.

Greenstuff, I thought you had been reading so I have no idea how you didn't know Kennedy was scheduled to face CM Punk at Backlash for the Money In The Bank Briefcase.

Again, thanks for the reviews, they have all been repped, I will try and return them as soon as possible.

Lashley. I am a man of my word and liked promised I would try and find time too review your show and that’s exactly what I have done so despite recap. I hope it can be a good one

Nice to see the GM kick off the show especially such a one as Armando Estrada who I really do believe should be GM of Raw or Smackdown just because of his excellent mic skills. Not seen a lot of Colin Delaney so glad to see that he has been told he needs to fight for a contract. Not a match you see a lot of but it’s one I like so now onto the match. Funaki, I actually had forgot about him. Anyway two cruiserweights kicking off the show is never a bad thing and I don’t think would have been a bad thing here. Glad to see Colin get the win but it wasn’t exactly a surprise. Decent start too the show

I don’t get Elijah saying he hasn’t been on ECW for a while but that will change when he defeats Tommy Dreamer. What the hell is he talking about. Didn’t get this part at all but I am sure you can explain it too me

Kofi Kingston and CM Punk teaming up for the next match. I like it and think these two could make a good tag team. The team of Morrison and The Miz I am not sure off IRL I am talking about but all four men in this match do have good, well great talent in the ring so this should be a very, very good match. The match was very well done I have to say Lashley and you showed good booking skills by ending the match the way you did. Mr Kennedy coming out was a surprise to me as obviously you know I haven’t read any of these shows in the past but I am really glad to see that CM Punk is feuding with someone as high up as Mr Kennedy. That could lead to becoming a great feud. Also glad that you didn’t ruin Morrison and The Miz’s winning streak or ruin Kofi Kingston’s undefeated streak and the ending of the match also means that little tag team rivalry is always there to see who the better team truly is

What an announcement but I really do think that should have happened on-air because that is a real massive announcement. Looking forward too the main-event already now!

Nice build up to get us hyped up for Backlash.. Well done with that

Shelton Benjamin v Nunzio. This seemed like an okay match but nothing much more than a filler and a job for Nunzio. I swear if I had read Nunzio going over Shelton. I would never have read again

I don’t like this. I read this in another BTB and didn’t like it. I really don’t believe a GM would give a match that easy and since when can ECW get so many matches on a pay-per-view especially a more Raw based one. So Lashley I have to admit this is the first real bad part of your show IMO anyway.

Great match again. It’s hard to tell if they are good matches but the names in them is what I am basing this on and these two would put on a very, very good match. Glad to see Elijah go over Tommy and then the attack after the match was also good too see. I think Tommy may get Kofi as his partner but not sure.

I loved this segment. The first segment of the night which I really, really enjoyed and the reason was, It was Mr Kennedy. Impossible with this man not too make a good segment even when it’s in recap. I liked his cockiness and such how he is going to beat CM Punk. This match should certainly be a good one at Backlash but I do think Kennedy should be more concentrating on beating Kane tonight.

The next match was nothing more than a squash IMO and I don’t have much to say. No surprise getting nearer to Backlash that a main-event star Chavo goes over Shannon Moore TBH. The trash he talked after the match was a smart thing too do though

Great Main-event. Kane and Mr Kennedy is a match you could sort of dream about seeing If it was done properly and it’s a feud I wouldn’t mind you starting. Once again I don’t think there was any surprises that Kane went over but it was great how you ended it with Kane chokeslamming Chavo. Well done

Overall Lashley I think you do need to improve quite a bit. A lot of people do there shows in recap but manage to make it look like a full show. This is something you really do fail to do and I am quite disappointed TBH. On the show itself it was actually not too bad but I don’t expect this to be your best effort as it was ECW after all. I will hopefully get a review up for ECW and all I can say really is keep improving and don’t take the criticism to hard!

ECW Review

Delaney vs. Funaki - A good match. I hope to see more of Delaney on ECW, and I also hope that he could be a curiseerwieght champion soon. 7/10

Morrison & Miz/ Kofi & Punk - Good match, but I would like to see these four finish what they started maybe next week. 8/10

Shelton/Nunzio - Shelton was always going to win this match but he has built up momentum for Backlash. 7/10

Dreamer/Burke - Solid match, I see Burke moving on to big thinks in the near. 7/10

Kennedy promo - Nice promo gotta love the hype of Kennedy/Punk feud 7/10

Chavo/Moore - Chavo could have finished this match quickly. But overall very good. 7/10

Kane/Kennedy - Mr Kennedy should face Kane for ECW title after he has finised with Kane. Good match but a bit on the long side. 8/10

Overall: Good show, lots of angle advancement, can't wait to see the end result of CM punk vs Mr Kennedy 8/10
