Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Tonight's card look's like a jolly old line up so I am looking forward to it. Sorry if the reviews not very long, I just comment on my opinions and stuff.
This promo was slightly like Raw when Regal says, 'The next person to come out will be fired' and it was McMahon, but tis OK, if you see something that's good, you use it right. Anyways a fatal four way should be great (if HBK or JBL win ) and it should be a classic.
I prefer Paul London as a singles competitor tbh, and I believe he could main-event one day. Him picking up the victory gains some valuable momentum, and I would acctually like him to win the tournament...Nah, I wouldnt. Nice to see the CW Title will be tri-branded as it brings new competition for the belt.
This segment seemed kinda wierd to me. Burchill seemed a little strange with the 'Hi Kennedy' line but meh. Burchill being built up gradually is what I like to see, and I think you got Kennedy to a tee there.
Very good booking here, as I believe that Cantino should be the next tag champs. I dont like Holly and Rhodes tbh though, Nuff said.
Shit, Layfield has been taken out. Him being the heel and all it's pretty unexpected, and I wanted him to win as well. Who could have taken him out, probably Orton but you never know. Nice way of building up suspense.
Little promo this one, but it makes the fans care about the tag match tonight.
I'm not really too fond of women's wrestling unless I'm watching it , but this match certainly makes me care about it a bit more. Melina picking up the win seems like the right desicion.
Like was said by Nige, Maria just got beat up . This certainly put's HHH over some more, and him pedigreeing his granny tut tut tut, I thought you were better than that Hunter. I hope his granny actually makes an appearance, then gets pedigreed lol.
No surprise with JBL not competing.
I dont like Orton coming out again, maybe he could have said this backstage? Anyway he admits attacking Layfield, then Cena comes out. Go Cena, kick his arse! Regal's announcement makes me think that Cena will win the Triple threat tonight.
I personally love the fact that Umaga destroyed Show, as it proves Umaga's dominance. I hope this sets up for a gimmick match in the future.
Again this short interview makes me 100% believe Cena will win. If he doesnt then it's pointless.
Yo Yo Yo, the only tag team I care about is Cryme Tyme so keep making them win.
Punk and Jericho picking up the win looks like Punk is gaining momentum going into Backlash. Oh whats this, Kennedy's contract is on the line. Now I am REEAALLY into this match as Kennedy winning would be good, but Kennedy losing means returning to Smackdown (or ECW ) which will be immensly (sp?) good.
I just know that Cena will walk out of this match as Number 1 contender...BUT IT'S MICHAELS
! That is a great desicion, but it has made this stuff earlier on with Cena seem totally pointless.
OVERALL: As Nige has said, when you gain experience you will improve. The Maria thing was a bad mistake, but everyone makes mistakes. I like the feuds you are building up, so this will go up as a 8/10.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Just a little notice, I have updated the first post with links to the shows in this thread so far. I will keep updating it every time I post a show. Heres the RAW news and notes.
Quote:

~ McMahon is reportedly furious at how creative didn't realize that Maria was no selling the two neckbreakers. Maria was attacked by Beth Pheonix and then moments later she is interviewing superstars. Luckily not many of the fans realized this. But McMahon knows silly mistakes like this will cost him.
~ Shawn Michaels vs. Orton has been planned for a while and creative are pleased that they have been given permission by McMahon to do it. Creative feel it will be a great match to Backlash, although Orton at the moment will be keeping the title, but plans change.
~ A Kennedy and Burchill feud is currently in talks, if this does happen then it would seem Mr. Kennedy is winning at Backlash. Paul Burchill has been mainly squashing opponents lately and McMahon and Lashley want to have him in a feud to get him over.
~ The Orton choosing his opponent stunt was actually going to happen with Orton choosing someone in the mid-card, but McMahon stopped it as he felt it would spoil the match and quite possibly make them lose viewers for Backlash.
~ 2 more matches will most likely be added to the Backlash card, one from either SmackDown! Or ECW and one from RAW. The match from RAW will most likely be a Womens Championship match, but if it isn't it will probably be Jericho defending his Intercontinental Championship against someone.
~ Also, on the RAW following the Backlash PPV, Jeff Hardy is set to make his return after serving a 60 day suspension for violation of drug use.
~ Finally, After the Backlash PPV, the King Of The Ring tournament will begin, there will be matches each week on RAW, SmackDown and ECW and the final will be held at the Judgment Day Pay Per View.
|
Well theres the news and notes. ECW preview up tomorrow sometime, most likely tomorrow night. ECW could be up on the same night, if not the following day. I would still appreciate it if you could leave me some feedback for RAW. It doesn't even have to be a full review, some comments would do.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Perfect Posters RAW Review:
S1 (Orton promo/Vince Announcement): It was above average. Orton stayed in character, kept talking about the "Age of Orton" staying put. Vince makes a big Main Event. Nice. 8/10
S2 (London vs. Haas/Kennedy/Burchill Promo): Good to see the Cruiserweight Championship being brought back, and I hope London becomes one of the top Crusierweights. London picks up the expected victory, and hopefully the Cruiserweight Championship can be on RAW so it can be less predictable and more exciting. Kennedy and Burchill's promo was good. I liked that Kennedy said "he would take one you take the other" to Burchill. Hopefully Punk and Kennedy bring a good match at Backlash. 8/10
S3 (Carlito vs. Holly/JBL beat up): Happy to see Carlito pick up a win over "Boring" Holly. Hopefully Carlito and Santion can keep the momentum and take the Tag-Team titles off of Holly and Rhodes, as they are BORING! JBL getting beat up is a surprise, I'd rather have seen HBK or Cena sense they are faces. But that's just me. 7/10
S4 (Divas Tag match/Triple H promo): Diva's don't interest me with their in-ring ability, but I'm still happy Melina picked up the win as she's one of the most talented diva's in the WWE. And I know you've already heard this, but I have to critisize you for acting like Maria isn't even scratched. I know it's just a mistake, but it's there. 5.5/10
S5 (Orton/Cena Promo): I'm really hoping that you put up a feud with these two for the Championship, as I loved what they did when Cena had it in the summer of 07. It was masterful by both Orton and Cena. If you could do that, I'd tune in every week. As for your promo, decent, said what I expected, followed by a staredown and a no-DQ match announcement. 7.5/10
S6 (Big Show vs. Umaga/Cena Promo): This was a decent match, except for the fact that you had Show kick out of the Samoan Spike. I would've had it done there. But at least you put him over by having Umaga beat the crap out of Show. Cena's promo was basic Cena. 7/10
S7 (Shad vs. Murdoch/aftermath): I'll always give you a thumbs up when Cryme Tyme goes over, and you helped Cade establish himself as a heel. I don't like Cade a lot, but I expect an IC Title push coming soon. 7.5/10
S8 (Kennedy & Burchill vs. Y2J & Punk/promo): Sense I forgot about the Punk/Y2J promo earlier, I'll talk about it here. Decent. Normally what a face would say to another. On the match, you jobbed Kennedy out! You have a match between the two at Backlash and you job Kennedy out?? I'd rather have seen Burchill tap. Kennedy shouldn't have jobbed, especially to Punk. 6.5/10
S9 (Regal Announcement): I'm liking the announcement by Regal, although this is probably going to lead to Kennedy winning the briefcase, I like it. Wish you would take some time on this feud, and not push Kennedy or Punk too early. 8/10
S10 (Triple Threat): Talk about shocker. I really thought Cena was going to win because of what happened earlier. Instead, the Showstopper picks up the win to face Orton. Damn HHH can't take the pinfall? JK. Shocked to see who won, but it was great. 9/10
Overall: 72/100. It just seemed like a normal RAW, except for the Main Event. Decent show.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Been out all day so the preview is a little later than I expected, quite pleased with this ECW to be honest. Hopefully I am improving.

Will Delaney get his WWE Contract tonight?
ECW General Manager, Estrada will open this weeks ECW show with an announcement regarding Colin Delaney and his ECW contract. Delaney was in action last week on SmackDown but is still not an active member of the roster. Will Estrada give him a contract or make him earn it?
Streak vs. Streak; WWE Tag Team Champions are in action!
It's not much surprise that the WWE Tag Team Champions are in action as they have been each week since Wrestlemania 24. They're on a winning streak as of late and they face a team who also has a superstar who is yet to be defeated in the WWE, Kofi Kingston. Morrison and The Miz take on Kofi Kingston and his partner, Mr. Money In The Bank, CM Punk! Who will come out on top and keep their streak intact?
More Cruiserweight action tonight
Maybe a little controversial but Shelton Benjamin has been classed as a Cruiserweight by ECW General Manager, Estrada and will be in action tonight to hype up the Cruiserweight match on SmackDown! He will take on Nunzio, who will come out on top in this highflying match-up?
Elijah makes his first appearance since Wrestlemania!
Thats right, you heard it correctly. Elijah Burke hasn't been on WWE television for a few weeks, infact since Wrestlemania 24! But tonight he will be on ECW competing against an ECW Original extremist, Tommy Dreamer!
..::Confirmed Matches::..
~ John Morrison and The Miz (c) vs. Kofi Kingston and CM Punk
~ Shelton Benjamin vs. Nunzio
~ Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
~ Chavo Guerrero vs. Shannon Moore

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Looks like a good show. I'll be reviewing it when you get it up. Looking forward to Shelton Benjamin in cruiserweight action tonight. Kofi/Punk v Miz/Morrison sounds good too.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Thanks Jamie, and I shall return it. As some people know I usually can't wait to post shows when I have written them so here is ECW, I'm quite pleased with how it has come out. Will still have flaws most likely, please leave feedback whether it be comments or reviews because THEY WILL BE RETURNED!
----------------------------------------------------------------

Tuesday Night ECW; April 8th 2008; Dayton Beach, Florida
The usual opening video plays before we cut into the Dayton Beach arena where the pyrotechnics shoot out and the camera shoots up from the ramp to the stage area trying to catch all the screaming fans with their signs. before we cut to the commentary desk where Joey Styles and Tazz await.
Tazz and Joey welcome us to the show and then go down the card for Backlash talking about how far will Chavo and Edge go to reclaim their titles. They then say that next we will have ECW General Manager, Armando Alejandro Estrada make an announcement regarding Colin Delaney.
Shortly after the music of Estrada hits and the Cuban cigar smoking General Manager comes out in his usual white suit. Estrada has a microphone already in his hands and begins talking. He says that if Colin Delaney wishes to compete in the match on SmackDown and possibly at Backlash he will need to earn his WWE Contract and he will receive that opportunity now.
Colin Delaney comes out to a decent reception as Estrada looks at him smiling. Delaney looks rearing to go and then Estrada announces that his opponent will be a Cruiserweight too, and his opponent is Funaki.
Fight for Colin Delaney's Contract
Colin Delaney vs. Funaki
There wasn't a favorite for this match as Funaki and Delaney have both been jobbing for quite a while. Funaki would continue jobbing tonight however. Colin uses some DDT's to gain some advantage over Funaki but as Funaki continues to kick out of Delaney's covers it is obvious that Delaney is getting more and more frustrated. He looks at the crowd and his expression changes from being a scared young man look to the look of a mad man. Delaney goes crazy stamping away at Funaki on the floor he then picks Funaki back up and hits a vicious clothesline. Delaney covers Funaki for the win and for his WWE contract!
Winner: Colin Delaney by pinfall @ 7:22; Colin has become an official WWE Superstar!
The camera fades to backstage to show Elijah Burke standing next to Lena Yada. Elijah says he hasn't been on ECW for a while but that’s all going to change tonight when he takes on and beats Tommy Dreamer.
--Commercial Break--
Tag Team Match (Non-Title Match)
John Morrison and The Miz (c) vs. Kofi Kingston and CM Punk
John Morrison and The Miz have been on a winning run as of late, since Wrestlemania 24. And Kofi Kingston was also undefeated. Kofi Kingston was the legal man for his team as he took on the oppositions legal man, The Miz. The Miz used several dirty tactics throughout the match to gain some advantage. CM Punk was then tagged in and cleaned house several minutes later Kofi Kingston was tagged in and he was dominated by The Miz and Morrison as CM Punk was outside the ring brawling with the interfering Mr. Kennedy. Morrison distracts the referee as The Miz low blows Kofi Kingston and then hits the Reality Check. Morrison picks up Kofi Kingston and is about to hit the Moonlight Drive but CM Punk runs in and kicks Morrison square in the face. Kofi recuperates and knocks The Miz to the outside as CM Punk brawls with Morrison and Mr. Kennedy the referee gets to a 10 count and counts out both teams.
Winners: Draw Double countout @ 9:35; Kofi is still undefeated and The Miz and Morrison's winning streak stays intact
Both teams continue brawling on the outside as officials rush down to stop all of them. Kennedy has a chair in his hand and whacks it straight across CM Punk's face.
--Commercial Break--
When we return a video plays showing what happened during the break, it shows Estrada coming out and telling Kennedy that Mr. Regal has given him permission to book him on ECW. So tonight Mr. Kennedy will take on ECW Champion, Kane.
A video plays promoting the upcoming Pay Per View, Backlash held on April 27th....
Narrator: In a war there are winners and there are losers…
Clips showing the winners and losers and Wrestlemania 24
Narrator: Every Action Deserves a Fierce and Aggressive Reaction…
Clips showing Kane defeating Chavo in less than eight seconds and then on ECW Chavo hitting Kane with the chair.
Narrator: A second chance to take back what they lost…
Shows Undertaker defeating Edge and Kane Defeating Chavo, it then shows Chavo talking about the I Quit Match and Vickie making the TLC Match.
Narrator: For The Winners, Comes glory… … For the losers comes the Backlash!!
Hyping up the Cruiserweight match at Backlash
Shelton Benjamin vs. Nunzio
Some would question whether Benjamin could be classed as a Cruiserweight, but it seems he can be. Benjamin dominates most of the match but to Nunzio's credit he does get some momentum for a few minutes. Benjamin uses alot of highflying moves that wow the crowd, he hits several of his signature moves. Before finally hitting the Paydirt and then covering Nunzio for the victory.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin via pinfall @ 6:22
RAW Recap:
- It shows Orton about to name who he has chosen to be the Number One Contender to the WWE Title.
- It then shows Orton being interrupted by Mr. McMahon
- It then shows Mr. McMahon making the announcement about the Fatal Four Way main event to name a Number One Contender
- It then shows JBL lying on his locker room floor in a bloodied state
- Then it shows Orton coming out and admitting he attack JBL, Cena interrupts and Regal makes a match for next week, Cena vs. Orton in a NO DQ MATCH
- It then finally shows Shawn Michaels pinning Cena after hitting Sweet Chin Music to be named Number One Contender
--Commercial Break--
When we return from the break we see Estrada in his office on the phone, he is interrupted by Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer asks him to listen to him for a moment and Estrada does, Dreamer asks if Estrada can book a match for him at Backlash, Estrada smiles and asks Dreamer to continue, Dreamer then asks Estrada if he would book, him and a partner of his choice to face The Miz and John Morrison for the WWE Tag Team Titles at Backlash. Estrada grins and says he will book it but Dreamer must name his partner on the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown.
Elijah's first ECW appearance since Wrestlemania24
Elijah Burke vs. Tommy Dreamer
Elijah dominates the early going being extremely vicious with Dreamer, obviously wanting a win in his first ECW match since Wrestlemania 24. Elijah hits a few kicks to the gut to Dreamer who is being kept in the corner by Elijah. Elijah looks to end it early running to the opposite corner looking to hit the Elijah Express but Dreamer runs out and meets Elijah half way with a clothesline only getting a 2 count in the process. Dreamer dominates the match for a few minutes, he plays to the crowd and gets them going chanting "E-C-DUB" But this seems to make Elijah want to win more as he pokes the eye of Dreamer unknowing the the referee and then hits the Elijah Experience. Elijah covers and gets the win in his first ECW match since Wrestlemania 24.
Winner: Elijah Burke via pinfall @ 9:43
Elijah looks down at Dreamers fallen body and smirks, he leaves the ring just as the WWE Tag Team Champions enter it. They wait for Dreamer to stand up before THE MIZ NAILS HIM WITH HIS TAG TEAM TITLE BELT, Morrison picks Dreamer back up and NAILS HIM WITH THE MOONLIGHT DRIVE!
--Commercial Break--
When we return Mr. Kennedy is backstage standing next to Lena Yada, just as Lena is about to talk Kennedy snatches the microphone away from her and says blah blah blah blah..BLAH! He shouts at Lena to leave and she does. Kennedy looks straight into the camera and starts talking trash to CM Punk telling him that at Backlash he will lose the Money In The Bank Briefcase and at Backlash he might very well lose his opportunity to wrestle again. Kennedy then tells CM Punk he is going to make him wish he never won the Money In The Bank.
Singles Match
Chavo Guerrero vs. Shannon Moore
This was surprisingly mostly a squash in Chavo's favor. Chavo attacked Shannon Moore the minute he entered the ring and dominated the match throughout. Chavo hits some of his signature manuevers like the 3 amigos and he also manages to hit a superplex on Moore. Chavo quickly climbs to the top rope and looks down at Moore smiling before hitting the devastating Five Star Frog Splash. Chavo covers for the victory.
Winner: Chavo Guerrero via pinfall @ 5:54
Chavo then receives a microphone and talks trash to Kane, he tells Kane that tonight he better make sure he doesn't get hurt by Kennedy because if he does he has no chance at Backlash in the I Quit Match.
--Commercial Break--
Main Event: Singles Match (Non-Title)
Kane (c) vs. Mr. Kennedy
This match is back and forth action from the start as Kennedy is obviously intimidated. He doesn't go at Kane as much as he would against other opponents. Kane is the one who keeps going at Kennedy, he has Kennedy in the corner and is laying lefts and rights on the loudmouth. The referee makes Kane back off Kennedy so he does, he runs at Kennedy and looks to hit a Big Boot but Kennedy ducks and goes for the Mic-Check. Kane elbows Kennedy in the head and pushes Kennedy to the floor. A few minutes later Chavo Guerrero, Kane's Backlash opponent makes an appearance and makes a distraction to both the referee and Kane long enough for Kennedy to get the ECW title from the outside and wait for Kane to turn around before smashing it against his skull. Kennedy throws the title to the outside and covers Kane for the 3 count.
Winner: Mr. Kennedy via pinfall @ 14:35
Kennedy looks at Chavo and smirks, he leaves the ring and pats Chavo's back before telling him he's all his. Chavo runs straight to the top rope and goes to hit the Five Star Frog Splash but KANE GRABS CHAVO BY THE THROAT! Kane stands up and then smirks at Chavo before DELIVERING A CHOKESLAM!
Joey Styles and Tazz talk about what just happened before wishing us a good night. ECW fades to black as it shows Kane standing over Chavo Guerrero's body.
--END OF SHOW--
