Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Extreme Championship Wrestling; April 21st, 2008; Rosemount, Illinois

ECW kicks off with it’s usual opening package as we cut to ringside to be welcomed by Tazz and Joey Styles, they run down the card which includes, CM Punk vs. John Morrison in our main event, Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin teaming up to take on Balls Mahoney and Mike Knox, Kofi Kingston taking on Nunzio, Victoria facing Kelly Kelly and Kane taking on Stevie Richards.
Shortly afterwards the music of former ECW champion, Chavo Guerrero hits as he makes his way to ringside in casual clothing, jeans, Chavo T-shirt, trainers. He is accompanied by his bodyguard Bam Neely who is obviously out to prevent any attacks from ECW champion, Kane.
Chavo receives a microphone and cuts straight to the chase, He says that he has been in 2 I Quit matches and has won 1 of them, meaning he has a 50% win ratio, he says Kane has NEVER been in an I quit match meaning his win ratio is 0%. He says that Kane won’t win this match even though everyone wants him too. He says that last year in his FIRST EVER I Quit Match he injured Rey Mysterio for 6 months, he then says that the same is guaranteed to happen to Kane. He says that Kane may have the advantage in height and in strength but the name Guerrero means warrior which means he will stop at nothing to win, and he will definitely stop at nothing to win back HIS ECW Championship. As the crowd proceed to boo him Chavo drops his microphone and makes his way to the back with Bam Neely.
{Commercial Break}
Elijah Burke and Shelton Benjamin team up to take on Balls Mahoney and Mike Knox. It’s clear from the off that Shelton and Elijah work well together and that they are friends as both run in to help one another when the other is in trouble. The match was short but served its purpose in seeing if Elijah and Shelton worked well together and they did. After several minutes of punishment, Mahoney manages to tag in Mike Knox who is quickly pounded with a superkick by Benjamin. Benjamin smirks as Elijah tags himself in and drags Mike to the corner, Elijah heads to the opposite corner for the Elijah Express but Mahoney grabs hold of Elijah’s shoulders to prevent him, Elijah smacks Mahoney off the apron but the time wasted is enough time for Mike Knox to recuperate and hammer Elijah with a clothesline, however whilst the referee looks to the outside to check on Mahoney, Benjamin strikes, he runs into the ring distracting Mike Knox who heads towards him, Benjamin gets up in Knox’s face and rakes his eyes before hitting him with an enzuigiri slamming Mike into the corner, Mike turns around facing Elijah who runs into him, slamming him with his knees with the Elijah Express as Shelton and Elijah get the win @ 6:41
CM Punk is backstage alongside Josh Matthews who asks if he has anything to say to Kennedy or the fans. Punk looks into the camera and lifts up his MITB briefcase before smirking. He says that Kennedy has already been a MITB winner and he blew the chance of cashing it in when he lost it to Edge. He says at Backlash he will be retaining his MITB briefcase and will be using it in the near future to get a world title match. He then says he promises two things: Kennedy will be off RAW and he will still be Mr. MITB. With the crowd cheering in the background CM Punk walks away as the screen fades.
{Commercial Break}
Kofi Kingston takes on Nunzio, Kofi dominates throughout as he gains momentum heading into his Cruiserweight Championship match against an unknown opponent at Backlash. After a few minutes of wowing the crowd with his dazzling moves Kofi begins to lay the hurt on Nunzio hitting an DDT after a kick to the stomach of Nunzio. Nunzio gets back up and tries a clothesline but Kofi ducks and delivers the Buzzaw Kick for the win @ 5:20
A video plays at it promotes the return of the annual WWE Draft. It has a slogan saying “This year business is going to really pick up!” It says don’t miss the draft on the 2nd RAW after Backlash.
Another video plays after that, this time promoting the debut of Umaga on ECW. It shows highlights of his career and moments where he has just destroyed challengers in “matches” it says Umaga, coming to ECW soon…
{Commercial Break}
When we return from the break ECW General Manager, and again manager of Umaga, Alejandro Estrada, makes his way to the ring in a white suit with three Cuban cigars in his breast pocket. He has a microphone in hand and tells the crowd to shut up as he has something to say, which only makes the crowd louder. After about 30 seconds the crowd dies down and AAE continues, he says that Umaga’s debut on ECW is set to be the biggest debut in ECW – NO WWE history (No pun intended ) AAE says that, that is because Umaga is not only the best superstar in the WWE but on his debut he will be having a ECW Championship match against whoever the ECW champion is. AAE smirks as the crowd actually seem happy with the announcement.
Tommy Dreamer is backstage and he bumps into Colin Delaney, he wishes Delaney luck for tonight for his match against Chavo Guerrero. Delaney looks at him and walks away.
Victoria takes on Kelly Kelly next, Victoria looks to gain some more momentum after her win against Michelle McCool and Cherry last week on SmackDown with Maryse. Kelly Kelly manages to get some offence in the match but it’s not enough as Victoria slams her to the floor after a cross body attempt. She pulls Kelly up abit from the floor by her hair and shouts trash to her, she drags he up and slams her hard with a boot to the gut before ending the match with the Widows Peak @ 8:22
{Commercial Break}
Backstage we see Victoria walking along when she bumps into Maryse, Maryse congratulates Victoria on her win against Kelly Kelly before asking her if she would accompany her to the ring this Friday when she takes on Michelle McCool. Victoria smiles before saying she would love to.
Kane takes on Stevie Richards in the squash of the night, it gets him momentum as Richards doesn’t lay in a bit of offense. Kane manages to hit the big boot, a side scoop slam and a uppercut on Richards who tries a clothesline attempt before Kane finishes him off with the Chokeslam @ 2:33
Lena is backstage with Colin Delaney, she says that tonight Delaney takes on Chavo Guerrero, the challenger to Kane's ECW title at Backlash, she asks Delaney if he has anything to say. Delaney says he is sick and tired of being pushed around by the big guys and that things are going to change. He says he will make a name for himself on ECW.
{Commercial Break}
Chavo Guerrero takes on Colin Delaney next, Chavo seems to have more of an advantage but Delaney just won’t stay down. Chavo gives Delaney everything he has even hitting a Five Star Frog Splash but Delaney manages to get a foot on the rope. Delaney and Chavo are brawling in the ring as the music of Matt Hardy hits, Hardy makes his way to the ring staring at Chavo who is looking pissed off and shocked at the same time. Delaney rolls Chavo up from behind for the win @ 8:09
Matt enters the ring and picks up Chavo before nailing him with a Twist of Fate, payback for Chavo’s attack last week on MVP’s, V.I.P longue.
RAW Rebound:
~ JBL names his segregate to face Orton’s; JBL chooses himself.
~ Regal picks Orton’s segregate for him, saying Orton would of chosen HBK.
~ Triple H is added to the match later on in the night
~ HBK wins the match with Sweet Chin Music on JBL
{Commercial Break}
Our main event is a good one, with CM Punk and John Morrison squaring off. The two know each other all too well as they both have history. The Miz is outside the ring for Morrison but Punk is alone. The two hit it off wooing the commentators and fans alike with their athletic ability. Punk hits a knee to the face on Morrison who is in the corner, Punk follows up with a bulldog. The Miz stands on the apron distracting the referee and Punk who is telling The Miz to step away. Morrison gets back up and rolls Punk up from behind but Punk kicks out. Morrison isn’t happy as the two begin to brawl again. A few minutes afterwards the music of RVD hits just as Morrison has planted a DDT on Punk, RVD and Dreamer come out and this distracts both John Morrison and The Miz (Who heads towards them trying to cheap shot them with the Tag title belt but is planted with a mulekick by RVD.) Punk gets back up as Morrison is still looking at what’s going on outside. Morrison turns around as Punk lifts him to his shoulders looking for the GTS, but Morrison leaps off and goes for an enzuigiri but Punk ducks! Morrison gets back up as Punk this time lifts him up and manages to hit the Go To Sleep! Punk hooks the leg for the win @ 13:56
At the top of the ramp RVD and Dreamer applaud CM Punks performance, Punk is handed his MITB briefcase and has his arm lifted in the air. Punk holds his gut, in pain as ECW fades out.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Chavo Guerrero Segment: I wondered why you had asked that question about the I Quit match between the two in the discussion thread, and now I see why. I liked this promo. Good way to open the show.
Burke/Benjamin vs Mahoney/Knox: Nice match with a good ending with Shelton Benjamin getting involved. I'm glad Benjamin and Burke picked up the victory.
CM Punk Interview: Nice little interview there with CM Punk putting over the match with himself and Kennedy at Backlash. Should be a good one, too.
Kingston vs Nunzio: Nice little match here to get Kofi over.
Draft Promo: I honestly can't wait for the draft and see what shake ups you have in store.
Estrada Announcement: Hm, Umaga getting an ECW Title shot right away in his debut. Should be good. I'll lol'd if Chavo defeats Kane at Backlash to win the ECW Championship only to face Umaga. LOL.
Victoria vs Kelly: I'm just happy that Victoria got the win in this one.
Kane vs Richards: Happy Kane won, obviously. Nothing more as it was just a squash.
Delaney Interview: Hm, wonder what he means by "things are going to change." Wonder if he'll get the win against Chavo.
Chavo Guerrero vs Delaney: DELANEY WON!?!?! Holy crap. I had to re-read that three times to actually believe it. Wow. Nice that Matt Hardy interfered as revenge.
CM Punk vs John Morrison: Great main event with Rob Van Dam and Tommy Dreamer getting involved. Really liked the match.
Thoughts: This was a good show. I really enjoyed reading CM Punk/John Morrison match. Was VERY surprised that Colin Delaney actually defeat Chavo Guerrero to be honest. Maybe because I despise Colin Delaney, but I didn't like the decision at all to be honest. Aside from that, it was a good show. 8/10.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
ECW Review
Opening Promo: Glad that Chavo isn't backing down. This hyped up their match well, and bringing up the past is a good way to show that Chavo has a bit of an advantage. This match should be hardcore, as it is ECW, so don't disappoint.
Tag Match: Maybe I'm missing something, but Knox is heel, right? Anyway, I'm hoping that Shelton and Elijah getting into the Tag Title picture, because they're very deserving, and make a helluva team. Not a very important match, but it put over their teamwork.
Punk Interview: Good hype for their match. It'll be interesting to see which way you decide to take things. I'm pulling for a Punk win, though.
Kofi/Nunzio: Kofi as CW Champion is awesome. This match didn't really do much for him other than build momentum, but beating Nunzio isn't the best way to do that. I wonder who his opponent will be?
Armando Promo: Good to see that Umaga is geting some serious hype for his ECW debut, although giving him an ECW Title shot right off the bat basically means that Kane will retain (I didn't expect Chavo to win anyway, though). I'm guessing that it'll be a long-term program.
Victoria/Kelly: If Victoria's being built up again, send her to RAW, or make the Women's Title tri/dual-branded, because there isn't a point to it if she won't have anything to show for her dominance. The segment after the break with Maryse hints at a partnership between the two, so maybe a women's stable with Victoria as champion?
Kane/Stevie: This was the squash of the night? Kofi/Nunzio and Victoria/Kelly seemed like squashes to me. Anyway, not much to comment on.
Colin Interview: All I can say to what Colin said is good luck to him. I don't see you using him to be a contender for the title.
Chavo/Colin: I guess I was wrong. Losing to Colin, even though he was distracted, takes away momentum from Chavo. The attack by Matt subtracted even more, so now I've got no doubt that Chavo's going to lose at Backlash.
Main Event: In a show full of squashes, this really shined. A great finish, and it gave Punk momentum while not taking any away from Morrison, unlike the previous match. I can't see RVD and Dreamer winning the titles, but the match, yes.
Overall: As stated in the main event review, the show was just full of squashes, although it did feature some great build-up for Backlash. The main event was definitely MOTN, as Punk/Morrison is always a winning combo. Wrestling-wise, the show was lackluster, but everything else made up for it, so I'll give it a 6.5/10.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Opening Promo: Not the best promo. Way too many numbers, and Chavo seemed OOC.
Tag Match: Basic squash, not much more to say. I hope Elijah and Shelton get a tag-title match soon
Punk interview: Good interview. Looking forward to KK and Punk's match at Backlash
Kofi squash: I hope Kofi gets a great push starting a Backlash, but beating Nunzio doesn't do much for him
AAE interview: A spoiler for the Backlash match, although it was pretty obvious anyway. I'm glad Umaga is getting some of his credibility back in ECW.
Victoria squash: Too many squashes. That all I can say really.
Kane squash: 4 f'ing squashes. You have to be kidding me. Kane stays strong, which is good.
Colin Interview: Good interview, Colin was in character.
Colin/Chavo: Colin is getting a big push if he doesn't lose to the frog splash. But him beating Chavo, even with interference makes Chavo look weak
ME: MOTN for sure. A Morrison/Punk match can never be bad. Good ending sequence.
Overall: Too many squashes, but the promos and ME saved the show somewhat. 7/10

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Why is everyone saying each match was a squash? The only squash was Kane/Richards and Kofi/Nunzio (slightly).
Did you's all even read the matches?

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Because in the tag match, Knox and Mahoney got about 2 moves of offense. The women's match wasn't a total squash, but Kelly Kelly didn't have a ton of offense.

Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
A squash is where the person is dominated, getting no offense in AT ALL and is beat in about 1-2 minutes or under..

In Lashley's defence though, he did mention that they had several minutes of punishment.
Anyway Lashley, I'll get some comments up tomorow. The show looks pretty good.
